- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be previewing that over the next couple of days and getting ready and all that good stuff.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_00]: But right now, I did want to talk about the Titus position battles.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: Because that's something to keep an eye on during these preseason games and joint practices and all that stuff for sure is the position battles who's standing out, who's not all that.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to get into it.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: Dude want to remind y'all.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: We have a hat sale going on over at jenjag.com.

- 1:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's running through Saturday.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_00]: So check it out.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: Now, my top,
- 1:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if I'm putting these in order, I would definitely have this one at the top because it's just hotly contested.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: And I think France and Colms' first ventral miller for the weekside linebacker spot is, and I've said this several times, but I think that it's possible these guys could be deployed situationally.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like, France and Colms leans a little bit more into coverage ventral
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: run stuffing and thumping downhill, I think they both have enough versatility within their skillsets to do both of those things, but these guys have been putting on a show throughout training camps so far.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: They've been excellent, both of them have made a bunch of plays in coverage, both of them have made a bunch of plays coming downhill.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think that you can certainly deploy
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: for sure.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: But I do think one player will probably end up earning more of the lion's share of work, which player is that going to be?
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: I honestly have no clue.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: Ventral Miller has experience on his side, both in the NFL and within this system actually playing on the field in regular season games, whereas Branson calms, I think has a little bit more athleticism, maybe a little bit more upside overall.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: So, that is a really, really good position battle.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_00]: I do think both players will get on the field during the regular season.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: And again, it could be situational.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: It could be matchup dependent, game script dependent, but yeah, those two guys, that has been an unbelievable position battle.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: It has been so fun to watch those two.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_00]: They've been two of the best players in camp.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: Like, regardless of position, regardless of status, they've been to the best players in camp for the Jaguars.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_00]: The next one, Bacial Tutan and Chris Rodriguez, it's the same deal here.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I think Bacial Tutan's skill set leans a little bit more into like the total package, more of a receiving threat than Chris Rodriguez, but both can run the ball well.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think Chris Rodriguez,
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: Beals, he can contribute in the passing game, Liam Cohen also has commented that he thinks that there's more in there than what he's been allowed to show so far in his career from a receiving standpoint.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, Liquan Allen factors into this as well, because he is the Jaguar's pass down back.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's been a really good battle so far in Chris Rodriguez.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: He wasn't doing team at the beginning at camp, but he's been doing teams since they put the pads on and he's been running people over running extremely strong, exactly what you see on tape from him.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's no big surprise.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: And then Basel Tutton has been most practice is having at least two to three runs that get to the second or third level.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: and in every practice, having at least one of those.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: So those guys have been really fun to watch so far.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: Again, like Ventral, Miller, Branson, Colms, both are gonna be in the mix for playing time throughout the season of my opinion.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: And there's gonna be times when neither of them are on the field because the Jaguars only at times will have like one linebacker out there.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: Or if they have two linebackers, it could be foe, Luke, and Dennis Gardeck,
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: There's going to be a lot of movement and changing parts on the defense.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_00]: And I think you can say the same thing for the Jaguar's offense.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: And again, it could be game script, it could be matchup.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_00]: Like, if the Jaguar's feel like they need to just beat their opponent into submission, Chris Rodriguez is probably your man.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: If the Jaguar's feel like they want to open things up and utilize space, basal tootin is probably your guy.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of the way it is.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I think another one that has gone a little bit under the radar,
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: just because one of these players hasn't been fully participating throughout camp.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: But Jabar Muhammad vs. Christian Braswell, based on my roster math and the way I've been looking at things, I think that they are fighting for one spot on the corner back room.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguars are going to keep five corners.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: I've said that for a while.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: I have Jabar Muhammad ahead of Christian Braswell.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: I have Travis Hunter, obviously Jordan Lewis, Jari and Jones.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: Buster Brown and then one of Jabbar Muhammad and Christian Braswell making the team at Corner.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: Muhammad had an unbelievable spring.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: He's had a really, really strong camp so far.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: Christian Braswell didn't start practicing until late last week or this week in terms of actually doing some team stuff.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: And he hasn't been consistently out there for a team.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: But he did have a practice earlier in the week where he made a pass break up down the field.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: He made a pass break up underneath.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: Did some good things.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: Muhammad has clearly been more impactful and more available.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_00]: in 2026.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: However, Braswell is a guy that has more of a prototypical build and has shown this coaching staff in actual games that he can get the job done.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: Like live NFL regular season games, right?
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: So, I think that I still give him a homin that the edge, but it's
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: I've got Edge 3 and Edge 4 here.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think, again, based on my roster map, that Wesley Williams, Danny Strigo, BJ Green, and Zactor, if you're all going to make the roster, but who's actually getting more reps between those guys?
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think it could be another, not a cop-out answer, but a situational thing.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I think Wesley Williams and Danny Strigo are both more of your do your job,
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: Execute set the edge when when you're asked to win on games and stunts up front, right, and then Zach Dürfie and BJ Green are players that have more Ability physically to be dynamic past rushers
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: Explosiveness off the edge.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: So I think it could be a situational thing, but I think all of those guys are going to make their Oscars just like who's getting more reps who's getting more snaps.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_00]: That's where I'm at with that one.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: And then Quentin Morris versus Hunter Long Morris is missed a little bit of time since the scrimmage Hunter Long and Quentin Morris were both on the roster last year.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: Hunter Long's on to two year deal last year.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: Morris was resigned this off season.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if either of them are going to make the team.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars might just keep three tight ends.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: I would think a team that wants to run a lot of 12 and some 13 might keep 4, but it's very possible that you could put one or two of these guys on your practice squad and be good to go.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: So, that's another one I'm keeping an eye on.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all tuning in and we will be getting you covered with everything going on over there in New Orleans today with that joint practice, but I just wanted to talk some positional battles in the meantime and
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: We'll try to get as much information from that joint practice as we can and share it with you and really appreciate you all tonight.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: Have a good one.
