- 0:57Speaker 1: copy of the album Tapestry in your home, I can't
- 1:01Speaker 1: help you. This portion of the program is brought to
- 1:05Speaker 1: you by Central Texas Sports Medicine. You're here on a
- 1:09Speaker 1: good day. Besides author Jane Eisner, we're gonna hear from
- 1:13Speaker 1: Billy Napier, the embattled coach of Florida or the previous
- 1:18Speaker 1: embattled coach of Florida, or the future embattled coach whenever
- 1:23Speaker 1: he loses his next game, which could be Saturday night
- 1:26Speaker 1: at Cayfield. We have a high school report. We're gonna
- 1:29Speaker 1: hear from offensive lineman Tray Zoon as well. Mallory is
- 1:34Speaker 1: here and man, oh man, it's the start a hockey season.
- 1:40Speaker 1: The Blackhawks and Panthers are about to face off for
- 1:43Speaker 1: the first game of the regular season this afternoon, with
- 1:48Speaker 1: the two time defending Stanley Cup champs. Penguin's Rangers follow that,
- 1:54Speaker 1: Avalanche Kings follow that. The Stars are tomorrow. Book make
- 2:00Speaker 1: don't know who the favorite is going into the season. Carolina, Colorado,
- 2:08Speaker 1: Edmonton plus eight hundred, the Stars, the Golden Knights and
- 2:13Speaker 1: the Panthers at plus nine hundred, and the Tampa Bay
- 2:16Speaker 1: Lightning at plus a thousand. But all of the sports
- 2:21Speaker 1: books are really confused about the favorites. Baseball Mariners Tigers.
- 2:28Speaker 1: That's where the rain is right in Detroit. Yeah, that
- 2:31Speaker 1: game is delayed. Should have already started. It has started.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Oh and then it was delayed.
- 2:38Speaker 3: I think.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Okay, they had the tarpa on, so I guess they
- 2:41Speaker 1: took it off and then it started raining again. Mariners
- 2:46Speaker 1: Tigers tied at one tonight Blue Jays Yankees. Toronto has
- 2:52Speaker 1: just clubbed the Yankees so far and lead two games
- 2:56Speaker 1: to none. Oklahoma quarterback John Mattier might be playing against
- 3:02Speaker 1: the Longhorn Saturday, which I've said all along. That would
- 3:05Speaker 1: be seventeen days after surgery on a broken thumb on
- 3:11Speaker 1: his throwing hand. Brent Vinnible saying he's going through his
- 3:19Speaker 1: normal protocol but has done zero good on good work
- 3:24Speaker 1: for whatever that means. And this is funny. I love
- 3:29Speaker 1: college football coaches. Vinible says, I don't know anything about
- 3:34Speaker 1: the injury. When they tell me he's available, I'll let
- 3:39Speaker 1: you know. I bet he will. Steve Sarksian meanwhile, getting
- 3:46Speaker 1: a little heat for the first time in a while.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Probably wouldn't be fair to these guys to say, you know,
- 3:55Speaker 1: our culture is perfect right now. They're due to do
- 3:59Speaker 1: the right things. They were great today. They came in,
- 4:03Speaker 1: they were coachable, They took to the tough coaching from Saturday.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I can't control things outside our building and outside our team,
- 4:13Speaker 1: but I can control our preparation and the mindset. That
- 4:19Speaker 1: game's in the Cotton Bowl Saturday afternoon. As we mentioned
- 4:22Speaker 1: off the top, the Aggies are hosting the Gators of
- 4:26Speaker 1: Florida on Saturday evening. That is a six o'clock game
- 4:32Speaker 1: on ESPN. The aggies are five and zero, but then
- 4:40Speaker 1: you already knew that. Casey Concepcione was named to the
- 4:45Speaker 1: Paul Horning Award Weekly Honor Roll today for his all
- 4:50Speaker 1: purpose performance totally one hundred and eighteen yards with sixty
- 4:55Speaker 1: one of them receiving, thirty five in punt returns and
- 5:00Speaker 1: twenty two rushing concepts yones number two in the SEC
- 5:05Speaker 1: and number twenty in the nation in all purpose yards.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Dion Sanders will undergo or has undergone, a medical quote
- 5:15Speaker 1: procedure today related to blood clots in the hopes of
- 5:20Speaker 1: being back at practice tomorrow and on the sideline against
- 5:25Speaker 1: Iowa State this weekend, an aspiration throng bectomy involving the
- 5:32Speaker 1: right behind the knee in the arteries. He said the
- 5:35Speaker 1: procedure would take several hours. I cannot wait to get
- 5:40Speaker 1: past this hurdle, he said at a news conference. Added,
- 5:44Speaker 1: its hereditary has nothing to do with me working at
- 5:48Speaker 1: the level I'm trying to compete at, he said. After
- 5:52Speaker 1: the game against TCU, he didn't wear a shoe on
- 5:56Speaker 1: his left foot in the second half because his leg
- 5:59Speaker 1: was hurt like crazy. He has had blood clotts before.
- 6:04Speaker 1: He has also had surgery for bladder cancer. Coach Prime
- 6:10Speaker 1: is fifty eight. Cincinnati quarterback Brendan Sowersby has been named
- 6:15Speaker 1: the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award National Player of the Week.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Sowersby led the Bearcats to a win over Iowa State
- 6:25Speaker 1: thirteen of twenty five for two hundred and fourteen yards
- 6:29Speaker 1: and two touchdowns. He also rushed nine times for sixty
- 6:34Speaker 1: four yards and a touchdown. He graduated from Lake Dallas
- 6:40Speaker 1: near Dtton. The people at Texas Tech are hoping this
- 6:45Speaker 1: isn't a cracker barrel deal. They're changing their logo. They
- 6:50Speaker 1: have announced a redesigned double T logo, reverting to a
- 6:55Speaker 1: flat style inspired by the original nineteen sixty three version
- 7:02Speaker 1: and replacing the bevel design that has some black in
- 7:06Speaker 1: it that has been used since the late nineteen nineties.
- 7:12Speaker 1: It also features an enhanced mask writer emblem and increased
- 7:18Speaker 1: use of raider red, with rollout plan for uniforms and
- 7:24Speaker 1: branding beginning after the first of the year. You can
- 7:29Speaker 1: see it online. I mean, I personally don't care, but
- 7:34Speaker 1: I don't like it. I like the other one better.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Let's see what cracker Barrel has to say about it.
- 7:42Speaker 1: And Jerry Jones has been fined two hundred and fifty
- 7:46Speaker 1: thousand dollars for using his middle finger directed at Jets
- 7:51Speaker 1: fans during the game. Over the weekend. Jerry called it
- 7:56Speaker 1: quote an inadvertent gesture. There wasn't any antagonistic issue or
- 8:03Speaker 1: anything like that. I just put up the wrong show
- 8:08Speaker 1: of hand. If you want to call it accidentally, you
- 8:13Speaker 1: can call it accidental. But it got straightened out pretty quick.
- 8:18Speaker 1: I've had a chance to look at it, gotten straightened
- 8:21Speaker 1: around pretty quick. But the intention was thumbs up and
- 8:26Speaker 1: then pointing to our fans because everybody was jumping up
- 8:31Speaker 1: and down excited, and we all, I think agree that
- 8:36Speaker 1: Cowboy fans have had very little to jump up and
- 8:39Speaker 1: down and get excited about since the super Bowl win
- 8:45Speaker 1: thirty one years ago. When was the last super Bowl
- 8:52Speaker 1: win ninety three, ninety four? Maybe with our friend Barry Switzer,
- 9:03Speaker 1: I think it's we're about to find out it was
- 9:09Speaker 1: ninety five. Oh, so we're in an anniversary year super
- 9:13Speaker 1: Bowl thirty beautiful. We're past the anniversary year because super
- 9:19Speaker 1: Bowl will be in twenty six so it is the
- 9:21Speaker 1: thirtieth anniversary season, right. Anyway, it's been a while I
- 9:27Speaker 1: said that, didn't I think I did ninety five season, right?
- 9:32Speaker 1: It was a ninety six super Bowl, but the ninety
- 9:34Speaker 1: five season. Yeah. Oh, I always love it when this
- 9:39Speaker 1: guy joins us. Next Monday. Skip Holland's work, who is,
- 9:45Speaker 1: in my opinion, the best crime writer in the business.
- 9:51Speaker 1: He's been written writing for Texas Monthly forever.
- 9:56Speaker 3: He has.
- 9:57Speaker 1: They have compiled a list of stories that he has
- 10:02Speaker 1: written for Texas Monthly over the years called she Kills.
- 10:07Speaker 1: These are female murderers and it is just some of
- 10:13Speaker 1: these stories I have not read, but we've had Skip
- 10:16Speaker 1: on the show a number of times. I'm a huge fan.
- 10:20Speaker 1: He will be back on the show next Monday. On
- 10:24Speaker 1: the program, so phone the neighbors and wake the kids.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Scott Clindennen will be with us tomorrow. We'll have our
- 10:32Speaker 1: Clark Eisenhower Outdoor edition on Thursday, Kurk Bowles and Tony
- 10:38Speaker 1: Catalina on Friday with the usual business. And today we're
- 10:45Speaker 1: just getting started. Jane Eisner will join me. The book
- 10:49Speaker 1: is called Carol King She Made the Earth Move. We're
- 10:53Speaker 1: going to take a break when we come back. Billy Napier,
- 10:58Speaker 1: Florida Gators. Half of the five lap brought to you
- 11:01Speaker 1: by Enco Insurance.

- 11:23Speaker 4: service you expect now with the strength of Hub International
- 11:26Speaker 4: behind us, more resources, more solutions, Still your team and
- 11:29Speaker 4: co Insurance a Hub International company, So you're ready for tomorrow.
- 11:36Speaker 5: NASCAR Xfinity Series race recap from the Charlotte Rovo Road Course.
- 11:39Speaker 5: I'm Kerrie Murphy. Another race, another trophy and checkered flag
- 11:43Speaker 5: for Connor Zilch.
- 11:45Speaker 6: Yeah, it's awesome to be able to do this at
- 11:46Speaker 6: a home track, and June Motor Sports had a really
- 11:48Speaker 6: successful day, so cool to be a part of that
- 11:50Speaker 6: and cool to finally get my first win here Charlotte. Yeah,
- 11:53Speaker 6: it's tough to balance that, but you know, I feel
- 11:55Speaker 6: like all four of us have a good understanding and
- 11:57Speaker 6: we all get along and you know, we know when
- 12:00Speaker 6: to be nice and you know, like today, you know,
- 12:03Speaker 6: for instance, we were trying to help the one and
- 12:05Speaker 6: the eight do what they could to get in. You know,
- 12:07Speaker 6: there wasn't much that you know, I could really do
- 12:09Speaker 6: to help them, but that was all of our goals
- 12:11Speaker 6: coming in, was to get to two of them through.
- 12:13Speaker 7: So glad that it worked out in that way. The
- 12:15Speaker 7: eight had a really good day.
- 12:16Speaker 6: Sammy's done a really good job growing as a road racer,
- 12:18Speaker 6: and Carson's done a really good job as well this year.
- 12:21Speaker 6: So it's hard. Dale tells us all the time, you know,
- 12:23Speaker 6: when you have four fast cars and they're at the front,
- 12:24Speaker 6: there's gonna be times where things happen, but you know,
- 12:26Speaker 6: we try to do our best to manage it. And
- 12:28Speaker 6: I feel like, if anything, I've been one of the
- 12:30Speaker 6: culprits of a lot of bad things inside our building.
- 12:33Speaker 6: Me myself, I've tried to become a lot better at
- 12:35Speaker 6: treating those guys the right way.
- 12:37Speaker 5: And he led the most laps on the day at
- 12:39Speaker 5: sixty one, on his way to his tenth Series win
- 12:42Speaker 5: in twenty twenty five. Remarkable Austin Green was second, followed
- 12:47Speaker 5: by Sammy Smith, Caz Gerala and Connor Mosak rounds out
- 12:50Speaker 5: the top five.
- 12:51Speaker 7: The Round of eight for.
- 12:52Speaker 5: The Xfinity Series kicks off this weekend, and that is
- 12:55Speaker 5: at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Saturday, seven thirty pm Eastern
- 12:59Speaker 5: on Seed.
- 13:01Speaker 7: This is the final app.
- 13:04Speaker 8: I love a day on the water with friends, but
- 13:06Speaker 8: my moderate to severe plax riasis sometimes holds me back.
- 13:09Speaker 8: Now I'm all in with clearer skin thanks to sky
- 13:11Speaker 8: Rizzy risen kizimat Rizza, a prescription only one hundred and
- 13:14Speaker 8: fifty milligram injection for adults who are candidates for systemic
- 13:17Speaker 8: or phototherapy.
- 13:18Speaker 9: Teaching music is my passion, but my active storiatic arthritis
- 13:21Speaker 9: can limit me at times. Now I'm treating my joint
- 13:23Speaker 9: symptoms with sky Rizzy.
- 13:25Speaker 8: With Skyrizzy, most people with plexiasis saw ninety percent clearer
- 13:28Speaker 8: skin at four months.
- 13:30Speaker 9: Or if you are an adult with active soriatic arthritis,
- 13:32Speaker 9: sky Rizzy helps you move with less joint pain, stiffness, swelling,
- 13:35Speaker 9: and fatigue.
- 13:36Speaker 10: Don't use if allergic to sky Rizzy. Serious allergic reactions,
- 13:39Speaker 10: increased infections, or lower ability to fight that may occur
- 13:42Speaker 10: before treatment. Get checked for infections and tuberculosis. Tell your
- 13:45Speaker 10: doctor about any flu like symptoms or vaccines.
- 13:48Speaker 11: There's nothing like clearer skin.
- 13:50Speaker 9: There's nothing like better movement, and that means everything. Ask
- 13:56Speaker 9: your doctor about Skyrizzy. Visit Skyrizzy dot com or call
- 13:59Speaker 9: on I need six six sky ready to learn more.
- 14:04Speaker 12: Keep up with high schools all over the Princes Valley.
- 14:06Speaker 3: It's the high school reports.
- 14:07Speaker 12: Suesdays and Thursdays at four to thirty Shipstchip.
- 14:10Speaker 11: How it's sports out.
- 14:24Speaker 13: So far away?
- 14:28Speaker 14: Doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore? It would be
- 14:36Speaker 14: so fine to see a face in my God, it
- 14:42Speaker 14: doesn't help to know.
- 14:44Speaker 7: You're just time away.
- 14:49Speaker 14: Long ago. I reached for you and they're used to
- 14:55Speaker 14: pulling you again. Could only do me.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Thanks for being with us on this Tuesday edition.
- 15:07Speaker 5: Away.
- 15:08Speaker 1: I'm looking at some stats and Florida is one hundredth
- 15:16Speaker 1: in the nation rushing the football A and M's thirty seventh.
- 15:21Speaker 1: They're seventy second in the nation passing the football A
- 15:24Speaker 1: and M's thirty fourth. They're ninety second in total offense
- 15:28Speaker 1: A and M's twenty second. They're ninety seventh in scoring
- 15:33Speaker 1: offense A and M's forty second total defense Florida's twenty
- 15:39Speaker 1: fourth A and m's twenty first scoring defense, which is
- 15:43Speaker 1: to me at the bottom line stat Florida is twenty
- 15:47Speaker 1: six giving up seventeen points a game. A and M's
- 15:51Speaker 1: forty eight, giving up twenty one points a game. So
- 15:55Speaker 1: just a little something something to contemplate with the Gators
- 15:59Speaker 1: coming it right now, let's hear from Florida head coach
- 16:06Speaker 1: Billy Napier, and.
- 16:07Speaker 3: You can't help but respect it.
- 16:08Speaker 15: Right So, I'm very proud of our team, and you
- 16:13Speaker 15: don't have much time to think about it or enjoy
- 16:16Speaker 15: it because you've got to turn around and play an
- 16:17Speaker 15: outstanding Texas A and M team.
- 16:19Speaker 3: So going on the road in this league.
- 16:24Speaker 15: Obviously, in my opinion, one of the most impressive, more
- 16:29Speaker 15: fun places to play in the country. Always been there
- 16:33Speaker 15: a number of times Clemson, Alabama obviously here at Florida,
- 16:38Speaker 15: so great fan base, great tradition, This is a with
- 16:44Speaker 15: the resources that they have, this is an incredibly talent
- 16:48Speaker 15: with the team, I mean, big, long, fast, They're a
- 16:54Speaker 15: tough group, physical group, and coach Elko has done a
- 16:58Speaker 15: really good job there, I mean his pedigree and track
- 17:01Speaker 15: record as a defensive coach, and then the brand of
- 17:05Speaker 15: football they play on offense and the weapons that they have,
- 17:08Speaker 15: so and they are always a tough prep. In the
- 17:10Speaker 15: kicking game seven o'clock Eastern, sixth central kick Kyle Field
- 17:17Speaker 15: is gonna be a hecking football games.
- 17:18Speaker 4: So we.
- 17:20Speaker 15: Respect the opponent. Certainly off to a great start, top
- 17:25Speaker 15: five team in the country, undefeated in some vets.
- 17:29Speaker 3: You know the quarterback obviously.
- 17:33Speaker 15: His background and his ability to make unannounced plays, Defensive
- 17:40Speaker 15: players at every level, weapons at returner.
- 17:44Speaker 3: You name it.
- 17:44Speaker 15: This team's got it. So it's gonna be a great challenge.
- 17:48Speaker 15: We're gonna need to be at our best, and that's
- 17:52Speaker 15: what you would expect in this league at this point
- 17:56Speaker 15: in time.
- 17:56Speaker 3: So what questions we got.
- 18:00Speaker 8: Avoid the kind of letdown that you have after a
- 18:03Speaker 8: big win and keep the same mindset going in the
- 18:07Speaker 8: second straight week.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm hopeful that we won't have that issue.
- 18:13Speaker 15: In my opinion, I think this has got a chance
- 18:15Speaker 15: to be a multiplier. I'm hopeful that it will. I
- 18:19Speaker 15: talked a little bit about that in the locker room
- 18:22Speaker 15: after the game obviously yesterday with the assistant coaches that
- 18:26Speaker 15: had a chance to be around players, and then we'll
- 18:29Speaker 15: start working on that today. But in general, have we
- 18:34Speaker 15: handled diversity, Well, now we've got to handle some success.
- 18:38Speaker 15: So it's all about earning the right to win throughout
- 18:41Speaker 15: the week, you know. I think you got to prepare
- 18:43Speaker 15: a certain way and then ultimately get in position to
- 18:48Speaker 15: where you can play with some confidence and go execute.
- 18:50Speaker 15: So I think that we got a group that understands that,
- 18:55Speaker 15: and I'm hopeful that this will be a multiplier and
- 18:59Speaker 15: maybe not a distract action.
- 19:01Speaker 16: Third straight top five with our third top five in
- 19:04Speaker 16: four games or straight top ten, well, I mean, I
- 19:08Speaker 16: obviously can help keep guys focused, but just in terms
- 19:11Speaker 16: of just that challenge mentally, I mean, every time you're
- 19:14Speaker 16: waking up, it's like you got another like Mountain decline.
- 19:18Speaker 15: Yeah, I mean we've played Look, this is who we've
- 19:23Speaker 15: played in the past. We're very familiar with these teams.
- 19:26Speaker 15: The players know each other, the coaches obviously know each
- 19:30Speaker 15: other and respect each other. So these are teams we
- 19:33Speaker 15: played just one year ago, and we're very familiar with
- 19:36Speaker 15: the scheme, the personnel, the venue. Right, we know what
- 19:40Speaker 15: it's going to be like, so we're capable. I mean,
- 19:45Speaker 15: I think that's the big thing is you wake up
- 19:47Speaker 15: knowing that you've got the tools to do it. It's
- 19:49Speaker 15: just going to be about who plays the best of
- 19:53Speaker 15: that day, you know, And that's reality in college football
- 19:56Speaker 15: right now. You've got to be ready to go each week,
- 19:59Speaker 15: so independent of the opponent, this is a bit, This
- 20:05Speaker 15: is a heck of a challenge in particular. But yeah,
- 20:08Speaker 15: I mean, I think what you're describing is what we
- 20:10Speaker 15: it's what we do finishing better.
- 20:12Speaker 3: What was your assessment a four minute offense?
- 20:14Speaker 1: And does a game like this impress the importance of
- 20:17Speaker 1: you know, keeping helmets on equipment and so forth initation?
- 20:20Speaker 15: Yeah, No, I think, yeah, we had an opportunity there
- 20:24Speaker 15: to put the game away.
- 20:25Speaker 3: We weren't able to.
- 20:28Speaker 15: And I think a penalty obviously was a big piece
- 20:32Speaker 15: of the puzzle. And I do think that we had
- 20:36Speaker 15: a chance. There's the possessions prior to those, In my opinion,
- 20:40Speaker 15: we had a chance to really put the game away.
- 20:42Speaker 15: So those are chances for the players to learn. We
- 20:46Speaker 15: have to evaluate things we could do as a staff
- 20:48Speaker 15: to help them, and in general, it's good to hang
- 20:54Speaker 15: on and win one, but we had chances to put
- 20:57Speaker 15: it away earlier in the game.
- 21:00Speaker 17: That rule the sorry would you extend tweaks to the
- 21:03Speaker 17: rule the helmet rule with.
- 21:04Speaker 3: The clock stoppage, it's a tough it is. It's a
- 21:08Speaker 3: tough rule.
- 21:09Speaker 15: I think they're trying to prevent the team from creating
- 21:14Speaker 15: an advantage, you know.
- 21:15Speaker 3: I think.
- 21:19Speaker 15: That situation in particular is the outlier right where it
- 21:23Speaker 15: becomes a disadvantage for the team. So I think there's
- 21:29Speaker 15: some some things to.
- 21:30Speaker 3: Be evaluated there.
- 21:32Speaker 15: And it's a relatively new rule, right, So I think
- 21:34Speaker 15: that's probably the first time, and we're talking the difference
- 21:37Speaker 15: between I think fifty nine seconds in nineteen seconds right
- 21:42Speaker 15: when they get the ball back. So it was a
- 21:44Speaker 15: significant penalty and we knew it as soon as it
- 21:47Speaker 15: happened it was gonna be a problem. So yeah, it's
- 21:53Speaker 15: a it was unfortunate. You know, it's no different than
- 21:57Speaker 15: running out of bounds or having a offensive penalty. It's
- 22:01Speaker 15: in the same category relative to the clock.
- 22:04Speaker 18: Did a really good job protecting DJ on Saturday. What
- 22:07Speaker 18: challenged does this Texas A and M defensive line post
- 22:10Speaker 18: to you? I think their top ten in sacks and
- 22:12Speaker 18: tackles for lostetting into this game.
- 22:14Speaker 15: Yeah, No, I think Look, these two inside interior d
- 22:19Speaker 15: ls are exceptional and we're very familiar with the edge
- 22:22Speaker 15: players as well, yeah, that's the challenge. It seems to
- 22:28Speaker 15: be a challenge every week in this league.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Right, So.
- 22:32Speaker 15: The key is we play on time, we're assignment sound,
- 22:36Speaker 15: we play with fundamentals and techniques, and we get the ball.
- 22:41Speaker 3: Out on time. You know, I think that's the key.
- 22:43Speaker 15: So we got to get them open, we got to
- 22:46Speaker 15: throw it on time, and we got to protect inside
- 22:48Speaker 15: out and keep the quarterback clean. Right, So protecting effect,
- 22:52Speaker 15: it's the same every week. Which team does it better
- 22:56Speaker 15: is typically a good indicator.
- 22:57Speaker 3: Who wins the game? Is doing?
- 22:59Speaker 18: You mentioned Saturday that he was dealing with a little
- 23:01Speaker 18: bit of a lower body jury. Looked like he had
- 23:02Speaker 18: a visible limp during the game. How is he doing today?
- 23:05Speaker 15: Yeah, he finished the game. He's doing fine. Just some
- 23:10Speaker 15: you know, things that will work work our way through
- 23:13Speaker 15: this week, but in general, nothing that's going to prevent.
- 23:16Speaker 3: Him from practicing.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Coming games can go one or two ways, and he's
- 23:19Speaker 1: going back to his home state and so forth.
- 23:20Speaker 17: How do you anticipate that? And you talked to him
- 23:23Speaker 17: about the emotions of that and taking request things of
- 23:25Speaker 17: that nature.
- 23:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it can be a positive.
- 23:29Speaker 15: You know, I think anything that's a motivator, I do
- 23:34Speaker 15: think that that happens to players on a consistent basis.
- 23:38Speaker 15: This is just another one of those situations, so it'll
- 23:43Speaker 15: be a non factor in the game. It's all going
- 23:45Speaker 15: to be about how he prepares and how he executes
- 23:48Speaker 15: when presented with the opportunity. So maybe it don'll give
- 23:52Speaker 15: him a little edge this week. I think certainly for
- 23:55Speaker 15: me it would anytime we play some of these teams
- 23:59Speaker 15: were I'm from. It's definitely part of the puzzle, so
- 24:04Speaker 15: I think it could be a positive.
- 24:06Speaker 16: How much the other day was adjustments from the buy
- 24:10Speaker 16: during the bye week to just sure execution and just
- 24:13Speaker 16: kind of energy.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Yeah, I think mindset was good. It was really I
- 24:19Speaker 3: thought I was impressed.
- 24:22Speaker 15: With our ability to get the energy level back to
- 24:25Speaker 15: where it needed to be, you know. I mean, I
- 24:27Speaker 15: think sometimes when you go through challenges, it's you know,
- 24:31Speaker 15: it's tough to can bring the enthusiasm required to do
- 24:35Speaker 15: the level of work that we do, right so players
- 24:38Speaker 15: and staff.
- 24:39Speaker 3: But I think we did.
- 24:40Speaker 15: That, you know, and I respect the players for that.
- 24:46Speaker 15: And it was staff did a good job pushing the
- 24:48Speaker 15: right buttons, you know, and then I think the players
- 24:51Speaker 15: did a good job bringing input to the table, you know.
- 24:54Speaker 15: And I think it's important to collaborate when you you
- 24:58Speaker 15: know you're struggling a little bit.
- 25:00Speaker 3: So we played better. It's that simple, you know.
- 25:04Speaker 15: I think we executed better, we blocked them better, if
- 25:07Speaker 15: we threw it better, we got open better, we called
- 25:12Speaker 15: it better. I think all parts of it contributed to
- 25:16Speaker 15: our success. So we got some a good player that
- 25:21Speaker 15: was available for the game that helped.
- 25:24Speaker 6: To So.
- 25:27Speaker 15: In general, all things contributed to it. I think we
- 25:31Speaker 15: need more of it.
- 25:33Speaker 16: Let's just just how special a talent is he.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Yeah, he's really unique.
- 25:38Speaker 15: Size, play strengths, catch radius, and then I would say
- 25:45Speaker 15: just his presence as a person. I think he's got
- 25:48Speaker 15: incredible energy. You look forward to being around him, and
- 25:52Speaker 15: he brings a competitive spirit to the practice field. It's
- 25:56Speaker 15: very evident he's out there.
- 25:57Speaker 3: You know.
- 25:59Speaker 15: He's got good use and I think that rubs off
- 26:02Speaker 15: on the other players.
- 26:03Speaker 1: He's talking about Dallas Wilson, their receiver who had been out.
- 26:07Speaker 1: He had six catches one hundred eleven yards two touchdowns
- 26:12Speaker 1: against the Longhorns on Saturday. Both those receivers are big
- 26:17Speaker 1: time receivers. Dallas Wilson, freshman Vernell Brown. Both those guys
- 26:23Speaker 1: are big time receivers, you know, can Lagway get him
- 26:27Speaker 1: the ball? Don't know. We also talked with the writers
- 26:30Speaker 1: yesterday about the fact that pretty good time for Florida
- 26:34Speaker 1: to be coming in from this standpoint that they had
- 26:39Speaker 1: a really emotional game Saturday, right, so they've got to
- 26:44Speaker 1: turn around and come here after lots of celebration over
- 26:50Speaker 1: the weekend, you know, And that's what napiers. Can you
- 26:54Speaker 1: get them back? Can you get him to work as
- 26:56Speaker 1: hard as they work last week getting ready for that game?
- 27:02Speaker 1: Because I don't think any of these teams have a
- 27:06Speaker 1: big margin for air. And I'm talking about any of them.
- 27:11Speaker 1: There's not a big margin for air in this league.
- 27:14Speaker 1: There is not a lot of difference in my mind
- 27:20Speaker 1: in this league this year. I don't know yet yet
- 27:26Speaker 1: if there's a great team. There are good teams. I
- 27:31Speaker 1: don't know yet if there is a great team. I
- 27:39Speaker 1: noticed that the Auburn Georgia spread had come down considerably.
- 27:48Speaker 1: I thought that was interesting because that's as we spoke
- 27:56Speaker 1: to with the writers yesterday, that's a robery gave that
- 27:59Speaker 1: is typically low scoring. Typically, So we'll see, we'll see
- 28:12Speaker 1: Alabama Missouri really looking forward to seeing that one. Alabama
- 28:17Speaker 1: caught a big time break with playing that game at
- 28:20Speaker 1: eleven am Saturday morning, Big time break. And Georgia Auburns
- 28:29Speaker 1: a night game obviously, Florida A and M, and then
- 28:35Speaker 1: South Carolina LSU nothing burger, Ole Missus hosting Washington State.
- 28:40Speaker 1: That's a nothing burger. Arkansas Tennessee, the fighting Bobby Petrino's
- 28:48Speaker 1: going to Tennessee. Can they be excited enough? And I
- 28:55Speaker 1: don't know how good Tennessee is either, by the way,
- 28:58Speaker 1: after watching them against mississipp State, I'm not sure. A
- 29:03Speaker 1: new brand that resonates with our history and will define
- 29:07Speaker 1: Texas Tech Athletics for future generations. Right, that's what it says.
- 29:16Speaker 1: That's the one up there with Raider red right up
- 29:20Speaker 1: above the line. They're showing all the other red Raider logos.
- 29:27Speaker 1: I think it'd be funny if they cracker barreled that deal.
- 29:30Speaker 1: But they've had focus groups, lots of focus groups. No
- 29:35Speaker 1: matter what you do, people are going to be upset, right.
- 29:38Speaker 1: I mean, it doesn't matter, but you start messing with
- 29:40Speaker 1: the logo that's been around in a while. Like I said,
- 29:43Speaker 1: I don't have a dog in that fight. I don't
- 29:46Speaker 1: like it. Maybe we should get coach Blair Texas tech
- 29:49Speaker 1: a loveness to weigh in. I like the bevel and
- 29:53Speaker 1: the little and the black. I don't like the all red.
- 29:57Speaker 1: I don't like that block TA in the background, but hey,
- 30:00Speaker 1: I don't really care. That's for them to figure out.

- 32:49Speaker 14: There's something long convenodine and one of us has changed,
- 32:55Speaker 14: and well maybe we've just stopped drying and it's too late.
- 33:04Speaker 9: That it's too late.
- 33:07Speaker 7: So we really did try to make.
- 33:10Speaker 22: It something inside has d and cat hide and just
- 33:18Speaker 22: get big gets born.
- 33:31Speaker 14: It used to be so easy to live and huge
- 33:34Speaker 14: with you. You were like easy and you just want it.
- 33:40Speaker 14: You look so unhappy and ivy.
- 33:44Speaker 22: Like, and it's too late now, it's too late.
- 33:54Speaker 10: So we really did.
- 33:56Speaker 13: Try to Welcome to the high school report. I'm at
- 33:57Speaker 13: Williams and today we're going out to the Polaris once
- 33:59Speaker 13: and then to visit with the host football coach for
- 34:01Speaker 13: the Caldwell Cougar's Michael Weather.
- 34:03Speaker 3: Ax.
- 34:04Speaker 1: How are you doing today?
- 34:05Speaker 3: Good?
- 34:05Speaker 23: How are you?
- 34:06Speaker 3: I'm doing very good.
- 34:07Speaker 12: Coach.
- 34:08Speaker 13: You're sitting in the same position at this time this
- 34:10Speaker 13: season as you were last season. What is new about
- 34:12Speaker 13: the season, what's the same and what are you anticipating
- 34:14Speaker 13: as the season carries on.
- 34:16Speaker 23: Well, you know, every year is a little bit different,
- 34:19Speaker 23: and we are sitting in the same situation we ran
- 34:21Speaker 23: last year with our record. I think the difference, the
- 34:24Speaker 23: main difference is the kids that we have here in Calwell. Uh,
- 34:28Speaker 23: you know, it's our third year here, and I think
- 34:30Speaker 23: our kids are understanding more of what we expect from
- 34:33Speaker 23: them and things like that. I think they're buying into
- 34:36Speaker 23: what we're doing more. And they're also you know, getting
- 34:41Speaker 23: into the system more and so they're able to do
- 34:43Speaker 23: more things. And so I feel like, hopefully going forward,
- 34:48Speaker 23: things are looking up for us. You know, it is
- 34:51Speaker 23: a tough district and we know that, but we're looking
- 34:53Speaker 23: forward to the challenges of trying to get into the playoffs.
- 34:56Speaker 13: All right, And on that note, what do you think
- 34:58Speaker 13: the biggest difference is between this two in last season's team.
- 35:02Speaker 23: I think last year we were very one dimensional. Uh,
- 35:05Speaker 23: you know, we had a great quarterback and he was
- 35:08Speaker 23: probably about eighty percent of our offense. He's back. He's
- 35:12Speaker 23: playing running back for us this year, which is more
- 35:14Speaker 23: of his natural position. We're able to get him out
- 35:17Speaker 23: into pass routes, find other ways to get him the ball,
- 35:21Speaker 23: and we've got a guy that's able to get the
- 35:24Speaker 23: ball out and throw the ball around to other people.
- 35:26Speaker 23: So it's making us more diverse, being able to throw
- 35:32Speaker 23: the ball and run the ball and do things that
- 35:34Speaker 23: we want to do, making those defenses loosen up a
- 35:36Speaker 23: little bit.
- 35:36Speaker 11: Mm.
- 35:38Speaker 13: And this season, what do you think is set up
- 35:39Speaker 13: the most about the identity of your team in terms
- 35:41Speaker 13: of effort, character and style.
- 35:44Speaker 23: You know, I think that that's changing every single year,
- 35:48Speaker 23: just like you know, it's different kids every single year.
- 35:51Speaker 23: But we want to be known is that that hard
- 35:53Speaker 23: knows group that goes in and we're going to try
- 35:56Speaker 23: and hit you in the mouth, and we're going to
- 35:57Speaker 23: try and run the ball down your throat and do
- 36:00Speaker 23: the things that it takes. And then if we can't
- 36:02Speaker 23: do that, then we'll try to find other ways to
- 36:05Speaker 23: get to beat you.
- 36:06Speaker 18: Mhm.
- 36:07Speaker 13: And looking back at the preseason, which assumptions did you
- 36:10Speaker 13: make about this roster that have already kind of been
- 36:12Speaker 13: challenged or subverted?
- 36:15Speaker 23: Uh? You know, I think every year you kind of
- 36:18Speaker 23: know going in who your kids are and what they
- 36:22Speaker 23: can do. Uh, But there's always some that kind of
- 36:24Speaker 23: surprise you. And we see that every year. There's some
- 36:27Speaker 23: guys that are stepping up, catching the ball and running
- 36:31Speaker 23: some routes that we weren't necessarily counting on earlier in
- 36:34Speaker 23: the year that are they're doing a great job and
- 36:36Speaker 23: so hopefully they get us better later in the year.
- 36:39Speaker 13: And what's been your biggest end season adjustment, like regarding scheme, personnel,
- 36:44Speaker 13: or mentality based on performance or opposition.
- 36:47Speaker 23: Well, so far, we played two slot te teams, and
- 36:50Speaker 23: that's been it's been hard for us to adjust to defensively. Uh,
- 36:55Speaker 23: you know, we're going into a more normal defensive scheme
- 37:01Speaker 23: from our district opponents, you know, more spread teams, more
- 37:05Speaker 23: things that are you know, pro style offenses, and so
- 37:10Speaker 23: I think getting back to that normal will help us
- 37:12Speaker 23: out defensively a lot, because we've struggled defensively.
- 37:16Speaker 13: Which position group has surprised you this year the most
- 37:18Speaker 13: positively or negatively and why do you think that is?
- 37:21Speaker 23: I think it's definitely our receivers. We've we've gotten a
- 37:24Speaker 23: lot better blocking out outside wild with our receiving group.
- 37:28Speaker 23: You know, last year we had I think two or
- 37:30Speaker 23: three guys that had receptions on the year. This year
- 37:32Speaker 23: there's been about eight or ten guys that already have
- 37:34Speaker 23: receptions and yardage and that are doing things even in
- 37:38Speaker 23: our running game. And so to me, We've got a
- 37:41Speaker 23: lot more athletes out there in that group, and so
- 37:43Speaker 23: they've been the group that's showed out the most so far.
- 37:48Speaker 13: And just looking forward ahead at the season, are there
- 37:51Speaker 13: any games that you're particularly focused on or you've been
- 37:54Speaker 13: thinking about or is it just kind of a game
- 37:56Speaker 13: by game basis and you don't really like to get
- 37:58Speaker 13: in the weeds like that.
- 38:00Speaker 23: Every week we say, uh, this is the most important
- 38:03Speaker 23: game we want to go one to Oh every week, Uh,
- 38:05Speaker 23: you know, we we've got one more non district game
- 38:08Speaker 23: to get ready. But what we're looking forward to that
- 38:10Speaker 23: Guineas game, the first first district ballgame, because that's that's
- 38:14Speaker 23: going to kind of set the tone for us, and
- 38:16Speaker 23: so we want to take it to them and get
- 38:17Speaker 23: ready for them and then try to try to start
- 38:20Speaker 23: the district off right with the win.
- 38:23Speaker 13: And you want a decisive victory against Smithville last week?
- 38:26Speaker 13: What do you think is going well and where do
- 38:28Speaker 13: you see areas for growth?
- 38:30Speaker 23: I wouldn't say it was decisive. I think it should
- 38:33Speaker 23: have been a lot more decisive. But offensively, I think
- 38:36Speaker 23: we're doing some really really good things. Uh, We're still
- 38:39Speaker 23: making a lot of mistakes and we have trouble overcoming
- 38:43Speaker 23: those mistakes a lot of times, and so it's gotten better,
- 38:48Speaker 23: but it's something that we're constantly working on. Offensively, uh
- 38:51Speaker 23: and defensively, I think we we did a better job
- 38:54Speaker 23: of stopping the run this past week, and you know,
- 38:57Speaker 23: just trying to set the tone and let people know that, hey,
- 39:00Speaker 23: we're here to play.
- 39:02Speaker 13: And how are you preparing, perhaps both physically and mentally
- 39:05Speaker 13: for your next game against Lexington? What are you expecting
- 39:08Speaker 13: and how do you think your teams will clash in
- 39:10Speaker 13: terms of play style?
- 39:12Speaker 23: You know, that's one of those games they've been playing
- 39:16Speaker 23: for a long time, call it a lex ten. The
- 39:18Speaker 23: kids are friends, they know each other, they live right
- 39:22Speaker 23: down the road, and so I think it's almost like
- 39:24Speaker 23: one of those rivalry games. And they're really good right now,
- 39:28Speaker 23: and so we're we're excited going into it. We know
- 39:31Speaker 23: that they can throw the ball around the field, they
- 39:34Speaker 23: can run the ball, they play great defense. We want
- 39:37Speaker 23: to go and see if we can do some things
- 39:39Speaker 23: tempo wise and see how we match up with them
- 39:42Speaker 23: so that it'll help us as we get ready for
- 39:44Speaker 23: that district runt.
- 39:45Speaker 13: And special teams often swing momentum. I would say, have
- 39:48Speaker 13: you seen any pivotal movements in this unit so far,
- 39:51Speaker 13: And what's your approach there?
- 39:53Speaker 23: Oh, there's no doubt going into it. You know, you've
- 39:56Speaker 23: got to find that time for your special teams and
- 39:58Speaker 23: this year has been a struggle for us. How we
- 40:01Speaker 23: went into the second week of the season and gave
- 40:03Speaker 23: up thirty five points with special teams to Robinson, who's
- 40:06Speaker 23: a really good football team. But we just you know,
- 40:09Speaker 23: we dropped two punts, we had two punts blocked, and
- 40:14Speaker 23: I think we had a kickoff return on us. And
- 40:17Speaker 23: so you know, thirty five points. You take that away,
- 40:21Speaker 23: and we're sitting there and we're down by seven points
- 40:23Speaker 23: going into the fourth quarter, and so definitely can change
- 40:27Speaker 23: the outcome of the game. And you see that when
- 40:29Speaker 23: you play good football teams. And so we've noticed that
- 40:32Speaker 23: we spent a lot more time in the last three
- 40:34Speaker 23: weeks and I feel like we've got a lot better
- 40:37Speaker 23: with our special teams groups.
- 40:40Speaker 13: And these last two questions here, I'm going to pivot
- 40:42Speaker 13: towards kind of philosophy focused how do you keep players
- 40:45Speaker 13: self motivated when the scoreboard isn't in your favor, whether
- 40:49Speaker 13: it be in blowouts or tight games.
- 40:52Speaker 23: You know, I think you make it something that it's
- 40:55Speaker 23: about the kids, about how they performs. It's not about
- 40:58Speaker 23: the other team, it's not about the school. It's about
- 41:00Speaker 23: what you're doing each and every play to make yourself better.
- 41:04Speaker 23: Because that's the way life is. You know, the scoreboard
- 41:07Speaker 23: it doesn't always tell the whole story. And so we
- 41:10Speaker 23: talk about that with our kids. Try to develop the
- 41:13Speaker 23: leadership and the dribe and to keep going no matter what.
- 41:17Speaker 23: And so far, you know, three years in, you know,
- 41:21Speaker 23: we haven't won a whole lot of football games, but
- 41:24Speaker 23: our kids are playing hard and every game we play
- 41:26Speaker 23: harder and harder, and then you know the winds are
- 41:28Speaker 23: gonna come.
- 41:29Speaker 7: Yeah, very well.
- 41:30Speaker 13: Put last question for you here, coach at seasons, and
- 41:33Speaker 13: what's one thing you would like fans, alumni, or your
- 41:37Speaker 13: community you say about the way your team played, regardless
- 41:40Speaker 13: of the win and lost record.
- 41:43Speaker 23: Definitely that that we we're going to play hard no
- 41:45Speaker 23: matter what. You know, whether it's playing the best team
- 41:49Speaker 23: in the district or the worst team in the district,
- 41:50Speaker 23: doesn't matter.
- 41:51Speaker 3: Uh.
- 41:52Speaker 23: You know, we want people mother we played hard, and
- 41:54Speaker 23: we want people of that. We're good sports of the
- 41:57Speaker 23: Texas way. It's something that the successful Coach Association and
- 42:01Speaker 23: UIL is pushing right now. And you know, we go
- 42:05Speaker 23: into a lot of games and there's a lot of
- 42:08Speaker 23: things going on that aren't developing our kids the way
- 42:11Speaker 23: they need to be. And yeah, we want them to
- 42:13Speaker 23: play hard, but we want them to help those guys
- 42:14Speaker 23: up and pat them on the back and let them
- 42:16Speaker 23: know that we're good sportsman and then we get after.
- 42:18Speaker 3: It very well.
- 42:19Speaker 7: Put thank you so much for your time, coach.
- 42:21Speaker 13: We're excited to see you out in the field.
- 42:23Speaker 23: All right, Thank you man, you sir.

- 44:49Speaker 29: the season, with a convincing forty four to ten win
- 44:51Speaker 29: in Baltimore over the Ravens.
- 44:53Speaker 7: CJ. Stroud and the offense broke out in a big
- 44:55Speaker 7: way as they imposed their will from the very beginning.
- 44:57Speaker 29: Stroud finished twenty three or twenty seven for two hundred
- 44:59Speaker 29: and forty four three yards and four touchdowns. All eight
- 45:01Speaker 29: different Texans caught passes, including Xavier Hutchinson who found the
- 45:05Speaker 29: end zone twice, and Nico Collins and Jalen Noel each
- 45:08Speaker 29: caught touchdowns as well. Nick Chubb rushed for sixty one
- 45:11Speaker 29: yards and a score, while the Texans defense picked off
- 45:13Speaker 29: Cooper Rush three times and limited the Ravens to just
- 45:16Speaker 29: over two hundred yards of total offense.

- 48:07Speaker 1: visited with local media types and it sounded a little
- 48:10Speaker 1: bit like this.
- 48:12Speaker 17: And Trey, how confident are do you think you guys are?
- 48:14Speaker 17: As it just as offensive line in general, going against
- 48:17Speaker 17: a team that some would say is going to be
- 48:19Speaker 17: the best defensive front shop play so fall right.
- 48:22Speaker 36: Yeah, they're very talented, but we're talented too, and we're
- 48:24Speaker 36: a veteran group so there's not much we haven't seen
- 48:26Speaker 36: and there's not much that, yeah, we won't see. So
- 48:29Speaker 36: we're prepared, we're ready to go, and we're just focusing
- 48:31Speaker 36: on the little details, you know, technique and focus to
- 48:34Speaker 36: you know, not shoot ourselves on the foot during drives.
- 48:36Speaker 36: You know, if we're making plays, we need to be
- 48:38Speaker 36: able to move the ball down the field and not
- 48:40Speaker 36: be taking steps back with penalties.
- 48:42Speaker 17: Yeah, well, what's the key to eliminating or reducing those pivoty?
- 48:46Speaker 3: Right?
- 48:46Speaker 36: It just comes down to focus, really, and we just
- 48:50Speaker 36: need to focus on that in practice, staying focused and
- 48:52Speaker 36: working on technique. You know, got to keep your hands inside.
- 48:54Speaker 37: So yeah, Helka said, yesterday I didn't name an offensive
- 48:58Speaker 37: lineman of the week, and kind of you guys to
- 49:00Speaker 37: clean up some of that just with two captains on
- 49:03Speaker 37: the offensive line. Just how'd y'all kind of receive that
- 49:06Speaker 37: message and kind of the challenge that he's given y'all?
- 49:08Speaker 11: Right, Yeah, like you said, we took it as a challenge.
- 49:10Speaker 11: You know.
- 49:10Speaker 36: So we've got seven or eight guys on the oh
- 49:12Speaker 36: line that could play, and they can play. So if
- 49:15Speaker 36: you make a critical error in a game, you know
- 49:16Speaker 36: you're coming out and we got someone behind you. So
- 49:18Speaker 36: that kind of competition with great guys behind you, it's
- 49:21Speaker 36: going to keep us on our toes and in practice,
- 49:23Speaker 36: we've got to work to stay focused so we can
- 49:24Speaker 36: play in the game.
- 49:25Speaker 7: Ourcel made his first start last year against Florida. Just
- 49:28Speaker 7: what do you what do you remember about.
- 49:29Speaker 38: That game and maybe some of the things you told
- 49:31Speaker 38: him before, during or.
- 49:32Speaker 18: After that game?
- 49:34Speaker 11: Right, Yeah, I just told him, you know, we trust you.
- 49:36Speaker 11: You're the guy.
- 49:36Speaker 36: You're the man for the job, so go go do
- 49:39Speaker 36: what you do. And you know there's that clip of him,
- 49:41Speaker 36: you know, shaking somebody off. That's been pretty viral. So
- 49:44Speaker 36: that's really all I remember from that game, and yeah,
- 49:46Speaker 36: I can't wait for this game.
- 49:48Speaker 1: That's being how so effective in the red nat so far.
- 49:51Speaker 36: That's been a point of emphasis in the in practice
- 49:54Speaker 36: and in our game plan that if we get in
- 49:56Speaker 36: the red zone, you know, we need a touchdown.
- 49:57Speaker 11: We can't be settling for a field goal.
- 49:59Speaker 38: So you know, coach.
- 50:00Speaker 28: Mentioned but not that y'all practice in rhythm stuff and
- 50:03Speaker 28: practices that something that you haven't experienced in your career
- 50:07Speaker 28: at the amount that you'll practice rhythm show.
- 50:09Speaker 11: Yeah, sir, Yeah, coach olco.
- 50:10Speaker 36: He puts us in every single situation we'll ever see
- 50:12Speaker 36: on the field and in a game, so we're prepared
- 50:14Speaker 36: for everything.
- 50:16Speaker 11: Gray, I would be the sets where.
- 50:17Speaker 3: The office line was the game of the season.
- 50:19Speaker 7: And now we feel like it's.
- 50:20Speaker 11: Just kind of gotten better every week.
- 50:22Speaker 36: I think, yeah, we've just built built on ourselves every
- 50:24Speaker 36: single week, you know, gotten better. But we still have
- 50:26Speaker 36: a lot of room for improvement. You know, we can't
- 50:28Speaker 36: get complacent. You know, we're chasing uh, we're chasing us excellence,
- 50:31Speaker 36: not success.
- 50:32Speaker 37: So not asking you to give away any secrets, but
- 50:35Speaker 37: it looked like the there was a teaser.
- 50:37Speaker 38: Video that showed to you with the throwback uniform. Just
- 50:41Speaker 38: what have you seen from it and just what was
- 50:43Speaker 38: it like being a part of that. Maybe that we'll
- 50:45Speaker 38: be revealed maybe later this year.
- 50:47Speaker 36: Right, I don't know what all I'm allowed to say,
- 50:48Speaker 36: but it was cool being a part of that, and
- 50:50Speaker 36: so I'm excited for it.
- 50:52Speaker 38: I know you're from a family of agues. DP know
- 50:54Speaker 38: anything about that nineteen seventy five team.
- 50:57Speaker 11: I do not know.
- 50:58Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 50:59Speaker 34: I don't know that far.
- 51:00Speaker 11: So yeah, so I probably should, but yeah I don't.
- 51:03Speaker 11: I mean, you showed some position flex obviously playing some
- 51:05Speaker 11: center attack, but how comfortable are you there and just
- 51:08Speaker 11: how much is doing that helped this team?
- 51:09Speaker 36: And George, Yeah, I'm extremely comfortable. I've been practicing there.
- 51:12Speaker 36: So if I'm on the field, I got to be
- 51:14Speaker 36: able to I got to be able to produce. So
- 51:16Speaker 36: I think, yeah, it just helps with position flexibility. So,
- 51:20Speaker 36: like we said earlier, if someone makes a critical air
- 51:22Speaker 36: in a game, you know we can shuffle the line
- 51:23Speaker 36: around to get the.
- 51:24Speaker 11: Most focused five guys in there in a game.
- 51:27Speaker 25: Look feedback, if you got to look.
- 51:29Speaker 23: Goocus on how you're flooked at center, and it's a
- 51:32Speaker 23: hard transition to do to play both, and how you've.
- 51:35Speaker 11: Kind of made it to slip. So I mean, I don't.
- 51:40Speaker 36: It's definitely a big change, and you know, kind of
- 51:43Speaker 36: my mind kind of races a little bit because I
- 51:44Speaker 36: just don't have quite as many banks reps as I
- 51:46Speaker 36: do at tackle. But you know, I'm confident playing the position.
- 51:49Speaker 36: I've played the position a ton in practice against our
- 51:51Speaker 36: D line, which is arguably the best D line will
- 51:54Speaker 36: go against.
- 51:54Speaker 11: So I'm prepared.
- 51:56Speaker 17: Hey, since you see those guys in practice, I assume
- 51:59Speaker 17: it's some pole you must have been in a position
- 52:02Speaker 17: to block of Cassius? What makes him a good pass rusher?
- 52:06Speaker 17: What makes him hard to block and totect?
- 52:09Speaker 36: Again, he just has such a great motor. He's just
- 52:10Speaker 36: always going one hundred and ten percent, and he's he's
- 52:13Speaker 36: slippery too, So if you're half a half a step later,
- 52:17Speaker 36: you know, overset him a little bit, he'll he'll he'll
- 52:20Speaker 36: make you pay for it.
- 52:20Speaker 37: So with Rubn coming back, just how much does that
- 52:26Speaker 37: help you, guys, and how much maybe does that allow
- 52:28Speaker 37: you to get some snaps in the center as well.
- 52:31Speaker 36: Right, Yeah, he's just another Like it's great having him
- 52:34Speaker 36: back because, yeah, I get to bump down and play
- 52:36Speaker 36: some center and he's just another one of those guys
- 52:38Speaker 36: that can play in the SEC and we'll play in
- 52:40Speaker 36: the SEC. So he just adds a level of competition.
- 52:43Speaker 36: So I love it more on ridge and offense than
- 52:46Speaker 36: your third down and touchdown to.
- 52:48Speaker 38: The case late in the game, how much do you
- 52:50Speaker 38: think that goes back to kind of a mantra finished
- 52:55Speaker 38: and how much y'alluld he is at.
- 52:57Speaker 28: A good payoff for how much y'all practice under stuff?
- 53:00Speaker 36: I would say yeah, because you know, as an O line,
- 53:03Speaker 36: it's nice when we've got playmakers on the outside. So
- 53:05Speaker 36: if we do our job, we're gonna get yards and
- 53:07Speaker 36: we're gonna score. So I love having, you know, Case Mario,
- 53:10Speaker 36: all those guys out there making plays for us.
- 53:13Speaker 8: Tray One a young guy we've seen get some plays.
- 53:16Speaker 3: Robert Bordon Howard Howard.
- 53:18Speaker 11: Say that, right, what is the future hole for him?
- 53:22Speaker 18: To you and Bothery and crown Over maybe being gone
- 53:26Speaker 18: after this year and think being that next guy, what
- 53:28Speaker 18: are you kind of seeing them?
- 53:29Speaker 8: Right?
- 53:30Speaker 36: Yeah, the sky is the limit for him. I kind
- 53:31Speaker 36: of see a little bit of myself and him. You know,
- 53:33Speaker 36: he's always in the meeting room, you know, asking questions,
- 53:35Speaker 36: do an extra film study. You know, he's out here
- 53:37Speaker 36: focusing on his craft, you know, asking questions.
- 53:40Speaker 11: So I think he's going to be great, and you
- 53:41Speaker 11: have the sky's a limit for him. Tray Damian san
- 53:44Speaker 11: Frence really shot up. He's pass a couple of games
- 53:46Speaker 11: what you seen had him and a practice. He's just
- 53:48Speaker 11: stepped up when his name got called.
- 53:49Speaker 36: You know, he he wasn't you know, ill prepared, like
- 53:52Speaker 36: he stayed in the game plan and he was ready
- 53:54Speaker 36: to go. So yeah, when his number was called, he
- 53:57Speaker 36: was just ready to roll.
- 54:00Speaker 38: How did you see Marcel really take hold of this
- 54:02Speaker 38: team in the offense the TV's first five.
- 54:05Speaker 36: I think his confidence is really taking a big step,
- 54:07Speaker 36: you know, being able to be able to throw the ball,
- 54:10Speaker 36: being such a threat in the run game too. You know,
- 54:11Speaker 36: he's just kind of kind of filled that role that
- 54:15Speaker 36: he's he's the guy for the job and he can
- 54:17Speaker 36: do it. So it's kind of cool seeing him just
- 54:18Speaker 36: go out there and make plays with confidence.
- 54:21Speaker 3: Mark as the leader of.
- 54:22Speaker 7: This team, how are you trying to handle.
- 54:26Speaker 23: Being fit in the country five and zero and everyone.
- 54:29Speaker 36: Talking about how dude he got I mean, that's yeah,
- 54:31Speaker 36: it's a great thing. But you know, I don't pay
- 54:32Speaker 36: attention to any of that. You know, it's we got
- 54:34Speaker 36: to take it one week at a time. We can't
- 54:36Speaker 36: take anybody for granted, Camp on the race, Tomate, anybody
- 54:38Speaker 36: or else. You know, we'll have a loss on our record.
- 54:40Speaker 36: So we got to go into every week being one
