- 0:03SPEAKER_00: Hello everyone, welcome back to the Astrology for Beginners podcast.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: I'm your host, Stephanie Kate Boucher, and I am so happy to have you here.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: This is the podcast for you if you have ever wanted to learn how to read a natal
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: chart or were kind of interested in astrology and wished that you understood more
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: about it but didn't know where to begin or it seemed too complicated and you didn't
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: have the time or the resources to invest in learning it.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: My goal is to break things down for you episode by episode in the most simplified
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: way that I can so that you can learn to speak the language of the stars.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: Thank you for learning astrology with me.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: Hey astrology friends, we are back again for another all new episode.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: And today we are going to talk about one of the lesser known and lesser talked
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: about parts of your chart,
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: at least for some of you.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: And that is a little thing called Black Moon Lilith.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: I love looking at Black Moon Lilith.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: It isn't really the flashiest part of one's chart,
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: but I do think that it is so,
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: so interesting because it asks us to think about parts of ourselves that we might
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: not always want to look at or that we don't immediately consider when we're
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: reflecting on ourselves and the wildest,
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: most raw version of ourselves.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: And Lilith certainly is the wildest, most raw version of ourselves.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: Now, Black Moon Lilith isn't a physical object.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: It's not a planet or an asteroid or any kind of celestial body.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: Black Moon Lilith is a mathematical point in space.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: And remember, I said the same thing about the lunar nodes, right?
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: There are some important things in your chart and in astrology that are not
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: physical objects,
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: but instead are mathematical points that are calculated.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: But more specifically,
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: Black Moon Lilith is the point on the moon that is the farthest away from the Earth.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: It's not on the side of the moon that's lit up that we see,
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: right,
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: that we think of when we think of the moon and the little face,
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: right?
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: It's what's on the other side of the moon.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: Essentially, it's the dark side of the moon.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: And it's the spot or the point on the dark side of the moon that is farthest away from us.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: And before we go forward, I should probably tell you how to find it in your chart.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: Most online chart calculators pull it up automatically now.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: I know that astro-seek does, and I think that astro.com also does.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: So if you've done this, it's probably there by default.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: But what it looks like in a chart is a little crescent moon on the top,
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: with a little cross or a plus sign coming out of the bottom of that crescent moon.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: So the bottom is like the same cross that you'd find at the bottom of the symbol
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: for Venus or for Mercury,
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: but with a little crescent moon on the top of it instead of a circle.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: And I can put a link in the show notes that will take you to a sample chart where
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: I'll have Black Moon Lilith circled in the chart so you can see what it looks like.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: Or you can just Google it if you're not sure.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: Now, Blackburn Lilith, of course, has astrological significance and meaning.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: And your Blackburn Lilith placement in your chart also says something very interesting about you.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: Before we get into that,
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: I want to give you a little bit of context,
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: though,
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: because the context is integral to the astrological interpretation of Lilith.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: And I also think it will just stick in your head better if you know the story behind it.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: Plus, it's just a good story, worth knowing if you haven't heard it before.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: The idea of Lilith goes way, way back.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: Bits of her story can start showing up at least as far back as 500 AD, maybe earlier.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: I'm not totally clear on the timeline, but I know it was a very long time ago.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: And
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: Her story has evolved over the millennia, as stories tend to do.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: So there have been different iterations of her,
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: as told by the Mesopotamians,
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: the Sumerians,
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: and others,
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: I believe.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: But the version of her story that we most commonly hear today is,
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: can be traced back to Judaic folklore.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: And according to Judaic folklore, Lilith was Adam's first wife.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: The tale goes that before Adam was partnered with Eve, he was partnered first with Lilith.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: And unlike Eve, who was purportedly created from Adam's rib, his first wife, Lilith, was not.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: Lilith and Adam were both created from the earth,
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: from the soil,
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: or the dust,
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: in the same way,
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: and they were created as equals.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: And as such, Lilith did not want to submit to Adam.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: She saw herself as an autonomous being with free will,
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: and she didn't want to squelch her spirit and become subservient to her husband.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: She wanted her personal independence.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: She wanted sexual independence.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: That's a big part of the folklore, is that she didn't want to submit to Adam's wishes.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: She wanted to be in control of her own sense of personhood and shape her own life
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: according to her own wishes.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: And here's where the story gets a little fuzzier,
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: because it can differ slightly depending on the version you're getting.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: Some variations of the story say that she left the Garden of Eden of her own accord
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: because she didn't want to be dominated.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: She didn't want to live in this so-called paradise where she had to live this very submissive life.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: It was like a gilded cage situation for her, which she rejected.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: Other versions of the story say that she was banished from the Garden of Eden
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: because she wouldn't submit to her husband.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: In either case, off she went.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: She was no longer in the Garden of Eden with Adam,
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: and she then becomes this sort of demon-like figure who was seen as rebellious and
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: sexually wanton.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: And she goes on to have lots and lots of demon babies.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: She ended up becoming jealous of Adam's second wife,
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: Eve,
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: because she bore lots of earthly children and she was more willing to behave in the
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: ways that Adam wanted,
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: having been created from Adam's rib rather than as an equal.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: And she wanted vengeance.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: And it was believed for centuries,
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: right up through the Middle Ages at least,
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: that she was responsible for babies dying early in infancy through stillbirth,
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: through illness,
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: or through SIDS,
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: which of course people had no way of comprehending in those days because they had
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: no scientific explanations for the mysteries and tragedies of life.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: So this vengeful, depraved sex siren was as good an explanation as any, it would seem.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: And in fact, this is where we got the word lullaby.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: The word lullaby,
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: I have heard,
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: comes from the Hebrew phrase lillith abai,
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: or I don't know if I'm pronouncing that right,
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: but it's something to that effect,
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: which translates to lillith begone.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: And so mothers across the land,
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: fearful for their child's safety and survival through the night,
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: especially around the possibility of crib death,
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: would sing songs to their children or around their children before bed that were
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: meant to ward Lilith off and prevent her from stealing their baby's souls away in
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: the night.
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: All of this over a woman who didn't want to submit to her husband.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: So for most of her history,
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: Lilith served as a sort of cautionary tale about what could become of a woman who
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: didn't accept her role in marriage and in society at large.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: It was a don't let this happen to you kind of tale.
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: But in modern times, her story has been viewed through a new lens.
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: And this is one where she is a feminist heroine.
- 8:39SPEAKER_00: She is someone who knew her own mind and was not willing to accept less than her
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: birthright assured her she should have.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: She was going to be fully herself and she was going to control her own life and
- 8:53SPEAKER_00: destiny with or without a man by her side and consequences be damned.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: And now in Lilith and Eve,
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: we have these two very different archetypes,
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: very different mythological figures.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: One of the empowered woman who refused to conform and just do what was expected of her,
- 9:14SPEAKER_00: but she was ostracized and demonized and she lost everything because of that.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: And the other archetype of the dutiful wife and mother.
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: So what does all of this mean in terms of your natal chart?
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: What does Black Moon Lilith and its placement in your chart say about you in light of this story?
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: And is it relevant primarily for people who identify as women?
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: That's a common question.
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: No, it isn't.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: I do want to throw that out there.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: This concept is relevant for everyone.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: regardless of your physical packaging or how you identify.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: Because we all have parts of ourselves that don't quite fit in, right?
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: So it's applicable to everyone.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: To put it simply...
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: Black Moon Lilith shows us where we felt,
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: probably early in our lives,
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: like it was very difficult for us to conform to other people's expectations.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: Those could have been our parents' expectations or our family's expectations or the
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: community's expectations or the cultural expectations generally.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: But it was where the true essence of ourselves or who we really were at our core just came
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: didn't line up with the messaging about what we should be or needed to be in order to avoid rejection.
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: Now, for many of us, this may have led to feelings of shame or fear.
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: You may have tried to conform as best you could,
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: and now there's this hidden or buried part of yourself that is concealed,
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: maybe even from yourself,
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: but certainly from others.
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: But really, your truest self is
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: The part of you real deep down in your subconscious would like it to break free,
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: would like you to break free of that conformity and rebel.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: Or just be itself.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: I think that's a better way of saying it.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: It wants you to be yourself.
- 11:07SPEAKER_00: Or you may have been of a stronger mind or will and you may have refused to conform.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: And this is where you developed a kind of rebellious streak.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: So this could then be an indicator of where you refuse to submit to expectations.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: It could be where you are likely to bristle against authority or resist authority,
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: where you're unlikely to give in to expectations.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: It could be where you are likely to go your own way or carve your own path.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: Now,
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: because there's typically so much shame involved,
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: especially as children,
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: but really any time in life when we don't conform,
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: and so much fear around being excluded or ostracized or separated from the pack,
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: because humans are pack animals,
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: we live in communities.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: It creates the need for us to do some shadow work.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: So Black Moon Lilith shows us where we have some shadow work to do.
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: It shows us where it is that we need to dig down and unpack anything that may have
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: been repressed or that feels ashamed or unlovable and then integrate it,
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: own it,
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: accept it for whatever it is and make peace with it or make peace with ourselves.
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: That's really what we're talking about here.
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: This is where you are experiencing some version of what Lilith experienced in her
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: story and where you have room to heal.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: And in the healing work, in this shadow work, we can find tremendous power.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: We can reclaim our personal power here and become higher and truer versions of
- 12:48SPEAKER_00: ourselves and turn this piece of us into an offering to the world.
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: So at its best,
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: Lilith provides us information about where we can learn to love and accept ourselves,
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: even if we don't fit in.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: Until we are willing to do this work, though, it can have some negative impacts on us, like...
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: We could be keeping our true selves repressed or losing touch with who and what we
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: really are,
- 13:19SPEAKER_00: or our decisions are being controlled by shame and fear.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: And then,
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: we're missing the life that's really for us or not claiming the happiness that's
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: meant for us.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: So there's certainly some self-sabotaging that takes place with an unacknowledged,
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: unprocessed Lilith placement.
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: This can also be the case if instead of being stuck in shame,
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: fear,
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: or repression,
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: you have kind of gone the other way and have such a strong rebellious streak in
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: this area that you bend your behavior specifically to meet that rebelliousness.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: And that could also be preventing you from having the life you want.
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: This can be covert or obvious,
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: like,
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: say,
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: you pick fights with authority,
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: or maybe you tend to get into arguments with authority figures very easily,
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: or you have a pattern of fighting with your bosses or something,
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: and it leads to you getting fired or to not getting the promotion you want or to
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: not getting the projects you want to work on or whatever.
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: Or it can also show up as something that you're not doing,
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: like maybe failing to act at all or doing nothing instead of something.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: An example of what I mean here could be
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: You know,
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: the way in which we've all been brainwashed and conditioned into productivity culture,
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: we have a very strong perception or expectation in this culture that your worth is
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: based on how productive you are,
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: how much work you can get done,
- 14:49SPEAKER_00: how many hours you can put in,
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: how busy you are.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: And this isn't morality, in fact, at all.
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: This is based around what has been necessary for
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: for us to survive in a capitalistic society where even a meager survival is based on your output, right?
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: And in fact, productivity amongst the masses is necessary in order to keep capitalism itself going.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: The rich need the working class and the middle class to work,
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: work,
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: work in order for this whole thing to work.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: So we have developed this perception that productivity is morality.
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: And in this context, one of the most rebellious acts might actually be...
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: rest or unproductiveness,
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: inaction might actually be an act of rebellion in this context,
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: which is all well and good.
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: But if you subconsciously, you know, and this is a hypothetical example, right?
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: If you subconsciously keep reverting to inaction out of rebellion or some kind of rage against the
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: Instead of looking for inspired actions that light you up from the inside out,
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: then you also wind up missing the life that's meant for you.
- 16:09SPEAKER_00: So part of this is becoming aware so we know where our blind spots are.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: So you can start moving toward healing and reclaiming your power by looking at your
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: chart and determining where your Black Moon Lilith placement is.
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: The house that it's in can show you where in your life you stand apart from the pack
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: and where you can reclaim your power.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: The sign is how you reclaim your power.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: So remember,
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: we keep saying on the show that the house always answers the question of where
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: something happens,
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: while the sign is about how you go about doing it,
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: where and how.
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: So I'm going to go through the houses and signs just briefly,
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: but remember,
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: this can be a really individual thing with lots of personal nuances that I can't
- 16:58SPEAKER_00: possibly account for here.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: There are going to be as many ways for Black Moon Lilith to manifest as there are people.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: So you can take what I offer here as a starting point.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: But if you really want to explore this part of yourself,
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: you're going to want to do some analysis on your own.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: And that will involve looking at the house placement and the sign placement and
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: considering what you know about that house and sign and then using that placement
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: as a lens.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: to begin thinking about yourself,
- 17:31SPEAKER_00: your personal history,
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: your life experiences,
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: your fears,
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: your desires,
- 17:37SPEAKER_00: your feelings,
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: your behavioral patterns,
- 17:40SPEAKER_00: and then consider what could be true for you in that context.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: Look to your desires and your emotions on this one.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: This is going to be about how you respond to things viscerally.
- 17:53SPEAKER_00: Okay,
- 17:53SPEAKER_00: if you have Black Moon Lilith either in the first house or in the sign of Aries,
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: you may have a very deep desire to express your independence.
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: The first house is about self and literally about your body,
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: your appearance,
- 18:11SPEAKER_00: your autonomy,
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: your persona,
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: and your approach to life generally.
- 18:16SPEAKER_00: So there can be challenges with self-acceptance around any of these things.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: You may have felt at some early point in life like you simply,
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: in a very literal way,
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: weren't accepted or weren't acceptable as a person somehow.
- 18:33SPEAKER_00: So the themes around accepting the self and asserting your independence are going to be strong here.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: With Aries,
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: if you have Lilith in Aries,
- 18:44SPEAKER_00: you're going to be learning to seek your own personal freedom,
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: leaning into your personal freedom.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: You're going to be learning to follow your impulses and be assertive.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: But you may also bump up against authority figures a little more.
- 19:01SPEAKER_00: If you have Lilith in the second house or in the sign of Taurus,
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: then you could be looking at themes around your personal values or the material world,
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: like your financial security.
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: So it could be that your personal values don't align well with those of your family
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: or community or the culture,
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: and you have to contend with that.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: And it can also be an indicator that perhaps you didn't have a lot of security,
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: financial or otherwise,
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: early in life.
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: And maybe you felt like a bit of a misfit or like you didn't fit in because of that sense of lack.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: It can also be about self-esteem.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: The second house is very much about self-esteem.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: Now,
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: in Taurus,
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: if your Lilith is in Taurus,
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: your shadow work may be around accepting your desires around very earthly and very
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: human pursuits,
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: like embracing and enjoying your sensuality or sexuality,
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: indulging in pleasures like food and drink and luxury.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: Taurus is very luxurious and loves to be surrounded by nice things.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: So this placement for Lilith can be about being indulgent.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: With Lilith in the third house or in Gemini,
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: we're looking at themes like intellect and thinking,
- 20:22SPEAKER_00: our learning styles,
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: our communication styles,
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: and our immediate surroundings like our neighborhood or our siblings.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: So there may be deep feelings of rebellion around one of these areas,
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: or you may not have felt like you conformed well in one of these areas.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: If you have Lilith and Gemini,
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: you're going to want to find healing in learning to communicate more openly and honestly.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: You're going to want to embrace the way you think and learn.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: And you know, with Gemini, there can be a lot of hopping around from thing to thing.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: It's a mutable sign, after all.
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: And it's a very curious and social sign that likes a lot of stimulation and activity.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: So this could be about embracing what...
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: Society might consider a lack of consistency or a lack of focus.
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: But you're going to want to embrace that about yourself and learn to use it to your advantage.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: It can be about learning differences and using that to your advantage because you
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: can see the world from a different perspective than most people.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: So there's that.
- 21:34SPEAKER_00: In the fourth house or with Lilith in Cancer,
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: this could indicate that there were conflicts within the family or the home.
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: There can be security issues again,
- 21:46SPEAKER_00: or it can signal difficulties with emotional connection within the family or in
- 21:50SPEAKER_00: your family line.
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: This can be ancestral too.
- 21:54SPEAKER_00: It can also be about the family home, like the physical home in the literal sense.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Maybe you moved around a lot as a kid and didn't feel like you had strong roots
- 22:05SPEAKER_00: like the other kids you knew or went to school with.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: You can find healing by creating your own sense of security and loving yourself.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: And if your Lilith is in Cancer,
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: you can find strength by learning how to really lean into your emotional sensitivity,
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: really leaning into your intuition.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: There may be some real intuitive or even psychic abilities here that made you feel
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: different from other people.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: But you want to love that about yourself and lean into it more.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: You can also learn that being yourself and being unique allows you to love and nurture people more.
- 22:43SPEAKER_00: And maybe even being a healer for other people is something you can do.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: Unhealed,
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: though,
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: there can also be some moodiness here or control issues,
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: so I would just be careful and watch out for that.
- 22:57SPEAKER_00: In the fifth house,
- 22:58SPEAKER_00: or in the sign of Leo,
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: Lilith signals a sense of rebelliousness or feeling like you can't or don't want to
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: or couldn't conform in areas like creativity,
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: self-expression,
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: passion,
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: or your overall passion for life,
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: and romance.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: Your brand of creativity or expression may not have been appreciated by others in the way you needed.
- 23:25SPEAKER_00: Or maybe you were told early on or got the message early on that you were overly
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: dramatic or conversely not expressive enough or something like that.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: Or you may struggle with love and dating.
- 23:38SPEAKER_00: Or you're someone who doesn't want children in a society where everyone is told
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: they should have children.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: Sexuality and your ability to enjoy that part of your life can come up here.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: So think along all of these lines if you think that might fit.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: In Leo, Lilith asks that you express yourself more fully.
- 24:00SPEAKER_00: and or create what you want to create.
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: And it's all about expressing yourself with enough confidence so that you don't
- 24:08SPEAKER_00: need validation from others.
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: You don't need to perform to others' expectations in order to feel good about yourself.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: You can feel good about yourself from the inside, just the way you are.
- 24:21SPEAKER_00: In the sixth house or in Virgo,
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: this is really going to be about work and service and ultimately perfectionism.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: So you may be someone who would really,
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: this is just an example,
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: you may really like to go about your day-to-day life in a way that's different from
- 24:39SPEAKER_00: expectations or norms,
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: or you may not have the desire to follow a traditional schedule.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: or work in a traditional way,
- 24:47SPEAKER_00: and you may have felt like these are things that were imposed on you against your will.
- 24:53SPEAKER_00: This could have happened as early as having to go to school every day when it really didn't suit you.
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: You may have anxiety around these things, even.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: You may have anxiety around health issues,
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: or maybe you're different in some way because of a health issue or a mental health issue.
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: With Lilith and Virgo,
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: maybe you were severely criticized growing up,
- 25:15SPEAKER_00: or maybe you are at risk of being critical of others because of perfectionistic
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: tendencies or anxieties that you were carrying around that would have you strive
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: for perfectionism.
- 25:28SPEAKER_00: The remedy,
- 25:28SPEAKER_00: I would think,
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: is to design your life in such a way that your day-to-day routines really work for
- 25:34SPEAKER_00: you as an individual.
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: And in doing so, you can really be of more service to those around you in the world.
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: Virgo is about service, ultimately.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: So it's like putting on your own air mask before helping others.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: In the seventh house and in Libra, we have themes of partnership and diplomacy.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: So these are relationship challenges.
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: And this could kind of go either way.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: It may show up as someone having difficulty with compromise and with being in a
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: partnership and kind of bristling against partnership for fear of losing yourself.
- 26:11SPEAKER_00: Or you may have felt like that happened to you earlier in your life and that really
- 26:15SPEAKER_00: made an impact on you.
- 26:17SPEAKER_00: It can also mean that your ideas and values around relationships and how they
- 26:24SPEAKER_00: should function lie outside of what you're taught culturally.
- 26:29SPEAKER_00: So maybe you don't have traditional views on marriage, for example.
- 26:35SPEAKER_00: Or it can go the other way and show up as codependency or people pleasing.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: The healing goal here is to balance Aries energy with Libra energy because these
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: are opposites and find a way to assert yourself in a healthy way that preserves
- 26:51SPEAKER_00: your boundaries,
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: but that is still making that Libran good faith effort towards working well with
- 26:57SPEAKER_00: others and having mutual respect.
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: Lilith in the eighth house or in Scorpio can be rather intense.
- 27:06SPEAKER_00: Most things in the eighth house or in Scorpio can feel intense,
- 27:10SPEAKER_00: but this can be about possibly being fascinated with things that are taboo.
- 27:17SPEAKER_00: So things like sexuality or intense intimacy or intense sexual experiences,
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: maybe some that are considered outside the norm of polite society,
- 27:29SPEAKER_00: right?
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: Maybe your sexuality or your sexual desires don't conform somehow.
- 27:34SPEAKER_00: It can also be about the occult or in having an interest in life after death,
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: spirituality,
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: any of these things.
- 27:42SPEAKER_00: There can be a fear of true emotional intimacy or trust with displacement.
- 27:49SPEAKER_00: And deep intimacy can be replaced with things that seem like intimacy on the surface, like sex.
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: This is, again, kind of the unhealed version of Black Moon Lilith here.
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: There can be sometimes more traumatic experiences that could have occurred in some
- 28:08SPEAKER_00: area of life,
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: though not necessarily.
- 28:11SPEAKER_00: Sometimes,
- 28:11SPEAKER_00: though,
- 28:12SPEAKER_00: if you think that's the case for you and you would like to do some healing work,
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: it can definitely help to do so with support,
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: maybe in the form of a therapist or a coach or something.
- 28:23SPEAKER_00: a qualified mental health practitioner of some kind.
- 28:26SPEAKER_00: Anytime you're dealing with trauma, I don't recommend doing that alone.
- 28:30SPEAKER_00: This placement on a totally different note can also be about control or power
- 28:36SPEAKER_00: struggles with other people.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: That's the Plutonian influence here.
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: Shared finances can also show up.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: So someone could rebel, let's say, by not paying their taxes or breaking tax laws or something like that.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: Also,
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: like with the last water sign we talked about,
- 28:57SPEAKER_00: cancer,
- 28:57SPEAKER_00: there can be a heightened sensitivity and intuitive ability.
- 29:02SPEAKER_00: That's true for all water signs.
- 29:05SPEAKER_00: And that can lead you towards healing and greater self-love here.
- 29:09SPEAKER_00: This could be, for some, about healing yourself and accepting yourself and loving yourself enough to
- 29:16SPEAKER_00: to let go and allow for real trust and intimacy to take place in the context of
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: what's healthy and right and empowering for you.
- 29:27SPEAKER_00: Now, the ninth house and Sagittarius, this is typically about beliefs, our beliefs.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: So at a young age or even now,
- 29:37SPEAKER_00: it may be that your beliefs or worldview was at odds with your community or your family.
- 29:43SPEAKER_00: There could have been a very dogmatic approach to life that you had a hard time getting on board with.
- 29:49SPEAKER_00: And that may have made you restless and wanting to challenge those perspectives.
- 29:55SPEAKER_00: So you may want to learn to lean into your desire for expansion and learning and
- 30:01SPEAKER_00: new experiences and adventures so that you can fully develop your own sense of the
- 30:07SPEAKER_00: world and broaden your perspectives and
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: and embrace a worldview that truly feels like your own.
- 30:15SPEAKER_00: Lilith in the 10th house or in Capricorn, the 10th house can literally represent authority.
- 30:23SPEAKER_00: So this could mean that you aren't aligned with authority in the most literal sense.
- 30:28SPEAKER_00: Maybe your parents, often the father, but not necessarily.
- 30:32SPEAKER_00: Maybe your community.
- 30:34SPEAKER_00: society at large.
- 30:35SPEAKER_00: You know,
- 30:36SPEAKER_00: there could be a drive to reshape things and create new systems and new paradigms
- 30:41SPEAKER_00: even with this one.
- 30:44SPEAKER_00: Working in the government or working within systems can come from this desire,
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: especially if you're wanting to change those systems or improve them somehow.
- 30:53SPEAKER_00: It can also be about feeling the need to improve yourself.
- 30:58SPEAKER_00: You may have felt like
- 31:00SPEAKER_00: You didn't measure up somehow early on in life or you didn't know how to feel
- 31:06SPEAKER_00: respected within the community.
- 31:08SPEAKER_00: And so now you have to prove yourself.
- 31:11SPEAKER_00: There can be a fear of failure, too.
- 31:13SPEAKER_00: So this can be a very ambitious placement.
- 31:16SPEAKER_00: You might want to craft a new public image for yourself, whether you're conscious of that or not.
- 31:23SPEAKER_00: And Capricorn would just have you working diligently and tirelessly to get to where you want to be.
- 31:30SPEAKER_00: You can really lock into a long-term vision and be very disciplined about getting there.
- 31:36SPEAKER_00: In either of these cases, whether it's a 10th house placement or Lilith and Capricorn,
- 31:41SPEAKER_00: You want to do healing work around breaking the belief that you have to prove
- 31:45SPEAKER_00: yourself to anyone in order to be worthy of love and respect.
- 31:50SPEAKER_00: You do not.
- 31:51SPEAKER_00: You are already worthy of love and respect.
- 31:54SPEAKER_00: And you do not have to do anything extra to make that so.
- 31:58SPEAKER_00: The 11th house and Aquarius, this is the collective house and sign.
- 32:03SPEAKER_00: So these are where our friendships and our groups and communities show up.
- 32:07SPEAKER_00: So again,
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: this is kind of a literal interpretation indicating that you may not have always
- 32:15SPEAKER_00: felt like you fit in with groups.
- 32:17SPEAKER_00: You might have struggled to find or develop friendships,
- 32:21SPEAKER_00: or you may have felt like you had to change yourself in order to fit in and make friends.
- 32:26SPEAKER_00: Bullying can occasionally come up here.
- 32:29SPEAKER_00: And Aquarius is about embracing your uniqueness and allowing yourself to be however
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: eccentric you want to be or however eccentric you are and being detached from the
- 32:42SPEAKER_00: outcome of that.
- 32:44SPEAKER_00: When you do that,
- 32:45SPEAKER_00: if you can do that,
- 32:47SPEAKER_00: you wind up being someone who can very powerfully serve the collective of humanity
- 32:53SPEAKER_00: in a very compassionate way because you have empathy and you're very open-minded.
- 32:59SPEAKER_00: That's what you can lean into.
- 33:01SPEAKER_00: And finally, we have the 12th house and Pisces.
- 33:04SPEAKER_00: If you have one of these placements, this can be about being really sensitive to the suffering of others.
- 33:12SPEAKER_00: Often on a very subconscious level,
- 33:14SPEAKER_00: you might not even know that you're super sensitive to the suffering of others.
- 33:19SPEAKER_00: And left unhealed or unexamined,
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: this can lead to stress and feelings of anxiety or depression,
- 33:27SPEAKER_00: which can make you avoidant or wanting to escape from reality.
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: Escapism can be a challenge.
- 33:35SPEAKER_00: These are both ruled by Neptune also, so themes of deception or confusion can also come up.
- 33:42SPEAKER_00: That could mean self-deception,
- 33:44SPEAKER_00: and an example of that would be maybe not spotting the warning signs or reading the
- 33:50SPEAKER_00: red flags of an unhealthy situation or decision or relationship because you're
- 33:55SPEAKER_00: wanting to see the best in someone or something.
- 33:59SPEAKER_00: Or it could mean that you attract people in who are likely to be deceptive.
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: So the healing work could be around tapping into this crazy high level of intuition
- 34:13SPEAKER_00: that you have access to with any 12th house or Pisces placement and trusting it.
- 34:19SPEAKER_00: Trusting yourself is huge in terms of healing for this one.
- 34:24SPEAKER_00: Okay, that does it.
- 34:26SPEAKER_00: We have covered them all.
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: Of course,
- 34:29SPEAKER_00: you're also going to want to look at any aspects that Black Moon Lilith is making
- 34:34SPEAKER_00: with other things in your chart,
- 34:36SPEAKER_00: like planets or angles or lunar nodes.
- 34:39SPEAKER_00: Anything that forms aspects with the Sun or the Moon should always stand out to you.
- 34:46SPEAKER_00: Or conjunctions to angles should stand out to you.
- 34:50SPEAKER_00: Even it just being in an angular house can be noteworthy.
- 34:54SPEAKER_00: So those are the first, fourth, seventh, and tenth houses.
- 34:58SPEAKER_00: These things can indicate that where you feel different,
- 35:02SPEAKER_00: where you feel non-conforming or unique or rebellious is going to play a key role
- 35:09SPEAKER_00: in the work that you are meant to do in that part of your life.
- 35:12SPEAKER_00: It's a key part of the way you do things there.
- 35:16SPEAKER_00: And the healing and radical self-acceptance and empowerment can be a key part of
- 35:22SPEAKER_00: that aspect of your life too.
- 35:24SPEAKER_00: All right, I am going to wrap this up for now.
- 35:28SPEAKER_00: If you liked today's show,
- 35:30SPEAKER_00: please take a moment to make sure you're following it on whatever app you like to
