- 0:20Glenn Beck is here with a plethora of government secrets to unpack.
- 0:23It's going to be a lot of fun.
- 0:25We also,
- 0:25uh,
- 0:26might finally be seeing some sanity in the wide world of sports.
- 0:28We will take a look
- 0:29at the latest bill in the House.
- 0:31We're going to start by doing Biden's.
- 0:33Shots
- 0:34volume 2.
- 0:35We did this with commonless flip flops because we want to just
- 0:38have a catalog of all these things that were going on,
- 0:41and Biden
- 0:42is ending his administration
- 0:45just getting as many shots as he can in
- 0:47things that will delay Trump's
- 0:49agenda,
- 0:50things that will reverse his agenda,
- 0:52he will block him from doing things that are important for the country,
- 0:55all of the highest priorities you can imagine.
- 0:57So I want to go through a bunch of these
- 0:59because there's a ton of them to go through today.
- 1:01Biden is going to lift Cuba's designation as a terror sponsor
- 1:05in exchange for release
- 1:07of prisoners.
- 1:07The Biden administration on Tuesday announced it will remove Cuba
- 1:10from the US list of state sponsors of terrorism and ease economic restrictions
- 1:14as a part of a deal for the release of political prisoners.
- 1:17Since the beginning of the Biden-Harris administration,
- 1:19the United States' policy toward Cuba has focused on empowering the Cuban people
- 1:23to freely determine their own future and advancing respect for human rights,
- 1:27said Corinne Jean-Pierre.
- 1:29I mean,
- 1:29I doubt she really said that,
- 1:30but that was
- 1:31what we're supposed to believe.
- 1:32The decision is likely to be reversed by the incoming Trump administration.
- 1:36Senator Marco Rubio,
- 1:37uh,
- 1:38Trump's pick for Secretary of State,
- 1:40whose family fled Cuba in the 1950s,
- 1:43supports strong sanctions
- 1:44on Havana's communist regime.
- 1:46Interesting.
- 1:47The whole thing is very interesting.
- 1:48Why would Cuba give up these prisoners knowing
- 1:51that in theory
- 1:52this was going to change?
- 1:55You know,
- 1:55right around the corner.
- 1:56Why,
- 1:57why would they do that?
- 1:58I don't know exactly,
- 1:59but
- 2:00it's kind of shocking to everybody right now.
- 2:01Even Democrats are kind of pissed off about this.
- 2:04Biden's Cuba bombshell shocks
- 2:06Florida Democrats.
- 2:08The order will be undone almost as soon as Trump replaces him on Monday.
- 2:11So it have little practical effect,
- 2:13but Florida Democrats fear Biden's move gives Trump a
- 2:16chance to frame their party as beholden to socialists,
- 2:18which
- 2:19of course
- 2:20they are.
- 2:21In Florida,
- 2:22that,
- 2:22that was,
- 2:22I added that one little part.
- 2:24In Florida,
- 2:24where Hispanics make up 19% of the voters,
- 2:27the issue of socialism turns off many people with roots to Cuba,
- 2:30Nicaragua,
- 2:30Venezuela,
- 2:31and Colombia,
- 2:32countries,
- 2:32and many of them escaped to avoid leftist violence.
- 2:35It turns them off to so when they hear
- 2:37it's a socialist party,
- 2:38they're like,
- 2:39we don't want to vote for you as much.
- 2:40Now.
- 2:41Part of the reason this is happening,
- 2:42of course,
- 2:43is that Florida is a lost cause for them right now.
- 2:45They don't care about reversing this type of
- 2:48thing and embracing Fidel Castro in some weird way
- 2:51or Raul
- 2:54because
- 2:55they're going to lose Florida anyway.
- 2:57They were very protective over this for a very long time,
- 2:59no longer
- 3:00the case.
- 3:01So even the Democrats are pissed off about that particular parting shot.
- 3:04Another parting shot.
- 3:06Biden
- 3:07for giving student loans to 150,000 borrowers,
- 3:09bringing the total
- 3:10to 5 million.
- 3:11Now most of the stuff
- 3:13is or will be overturned in the courts,
- 3:16but they keep trying it
- 3:18even though they know it is unconstitutional.
- 3:20President Joe Biden said on Monday his administration would cancel.
- 3:23Student loans for more than 150,000 borrowers
- 3:26targeting those who attended schools that defrauded students,
- 3:29those with permanent disabilities,
- 3:31and public service workers.
- 3:33Now you might look at that list and be like,
- 3:34well,
- 3:34all those people should have their loans forgiven.
- 3:36Those are good policies,
- 3:37yeah,
- 3:37but that might be true.
- 3:39That should go through Congress.
- 3:41You can't just do that if you're President of the United States.
- 3:43Biden said the total number of Americans has been now over 5 million.
- 3:47So there you go,
- 3:475 million people.
- 3:49Now,
- 3:49of course,
- 3:49most of these people are going to wind up getting the state,
- 3:51uh,
- 3:52this debt likely reinstated,
- 3:53so they're going to wind up paying it anyway.
- 3:55They'll all just think they have extra money now so they can spend
- 3:58it in advance of needing to spend it later on the actual loan,
- 4:01so it'll screw them over years down the road.
- 4:03Well,
- 4:03so thank you so much,
- 4:05Joe Biden.
- 4:05Another parting shot.
- 4:07New sanctions from the US taking sweeping action against Russia's energy sector.
- 4:12With less than 2 weeks until the Biden
- 4:15administration leaves the White House,
- 4:16it has placed new sanctions,
- 4:17which it is called the most significant to date,
- 4:19on Russia's oil and liquefied natural gas sector,
- 4:22the driver of the Eastern European country's economy.
- 4:25Officials said the sanctions could cost the Russian
- 4:28economy over billions of dollars per month,
- 4:31over billions of dollars.
- 4:32So what is that?
- 4:34It's a weird way to phrase that,
- 4:34but
- 4:35what I'm kind of interested in in that one
- 4:37is really.
- 4:40Listen to this.
- 4:41Oil producers rushed to hedge as the US sanctions on Russia
- 4:45send prices higher.
- 4:46Energy producers have rushed to lock in oil prices
- 4:48since the United States announced its harshest sanctions yet
- 4:51on Russian energy trade on Friday,
- 4:53which
- 4:53sent oil
- 4:54prices surging to multi-month highs.
- 4:57Market participants said
- 4:58hedging can help producers reduce risk
- 5:01and protect their production from sharp moves in the market
- 5:04by locking in a price.
- 5:05It can also give traders opportunities to profit from volatility.
- 5:09Sure,
- 5:10um,
- 5:10I guess my question is,
- 5:12they're the harshest sanctions yet,
- 5:14which indicates there was a harsher place for us to go on the sanctions.
- 5:19Which makes me wonder why we try that after we've
- 5:23sent hundreds of billions of dollars to Ukraine already.
- 5:25Like,
- 5:25Shouldn't we have
- 5:27Shouldn't we have gone to the harshest possible
- 5:29place on our sanctions before we started letting them
- 5:33use our tanks and missiles and planes
- 5:35against
- 5:37the world's largest holder of nuclear weapons?
- 5:41It Feels like that step should have come first,
- 5:43but,
- 5:44uh,
- 5:44here we are,
- 5:45of course this could,
- 5:45of course,
- 5:46make your gas prices higher as we reduce the supply around the world.
- 5:49Um,
- 5:50another parting shot from Joe Biden.
- 5:52Two prisoners
- 5:54legally object to Biden's death row commutations.
- 5:57The DOJ is arguing this one.
- 5:59Requests of two prisoners who have taken the unusual step
- 6:02of asking a federal judge to nullify their death row commutations
- 6:06granted by the president.
- 6:07Uh,
- 6:07should be denied because the act of leniency doesn't violate the Constitution,
- 6:11the Justice Department argued Monday in a court filing.
- 6:14The inmates,
- 6:14Shannon Agofsky and Len Davis,
- 6:17are being held in federal prison in Terre Haute,
- 6:20Indiana,
- 6:21where the US government puts inmates to death.
- 6:25good thing for your town to be not necessarily on the,
- 6:27uh,
- 6:28on the tourism board.
- 6:30Paperwork,
- 6:31you're like,
- 6:31hey,
- 6:31this is where everyone comes to die
- 6:33if you're a federal prisoner.
- 6:34A week after Biden announced he was commuting
- 6:36the sentences of 37 of the 40 prisoners on federal death row
- 6:40to life without the possibility of parole,
- 6:43uh,
- 6:43they filed their emergency motions seeking an injunction to block the charge,
- 6:47arguing that it could affect their appeals amid.
- 6:48Claims of innocence
- 6:49in their initial
- 6:50conviction.
- 6:51So basically what's happening here
- 6:52is they got convicted of murder.
- 6:54Biden is like,
- 6:55he's not letting them out of prison.
- 6:56He's just letting them out of the death penalty part
- 6:59of their sentence,
- 7:00so they'll stay in prison forever without possibility of parole,
- 7:04and they're like,
- 7:05Well,
- 7:05we don't want that because we're innocent.
- 7:08So we don't want you to do that
- 7:10because it's sending a message that we're actually guilty
- 7:12of these crimes and we're getting a lesser punishment
- 7:15for our guilt.
- 7:16We say we're innocent.
- 7:17Now,
- 7:17are they innocent?
- 7:18I doubt it.
- 7:19It's possible,
- 7:20possible,
- 7:21you know this does happen.
- 7:22I've watched Netflix documentaries.
- 7:23I know it does occur,
- 7:24but unlikely.
- 7:25That being said,
- 7:27you know,
- 7:28if they don't want
- 7:29the commutation,
- 7:30if they want to be
- 7:31executed by the state if they remain to be guilty,
- 7:34well,
- 7:34I say we give it to them.
- 7:36I say we give it to him.
- 7:37Um,
- 7:37Biden,
- 7:38another parting shot,
- 7:39awarding Pope Francis,
- 7:41Francis the Medal of Freedom,
- 7:43the highest civilian honor.
- 7:45I mean,
- 7:45I will say at this point,
- 7:46is at the highest.
- 7:47Seems like we give these out like,
- 7:48you know,
- 7:48candy these days.
- 7:49But
- 7:50anyway,
- 7:50US President Joe Biden spoke with Pope Francis on Saturday,
- 7:52awarded him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom with Distinction,
- 7:55the nation's highest civilian honor.
- 7:57The White House said it wasn't the first time in 4
- 7:59years in office that Biden had awarded the Medal with distinction,
- 8:02it said.
- 8:03So it's a little bit more important.
- 8:04Now it's interesting there because
- 8:06You know,
- 8:07look,
- 8:07it's a very left-wing pope.
- 8:09I think if,
- 8:10if this is a person who was out there being like,
- 8:11you know what,
- 8:12abortion's wrong,
- 8:13and really highlighting that part of Catholicism,
- 8:15maybe a little bit less than
- 8:16let's be nice to everyone and,
- 8:18and,
- 8:18uh,
- 8:19never hold them accountable for anything that they do.
- 8:21Seems like that's kind of,
- 8:23global warming is really,
- 8:24really bad.
- 8:25That's the part of Catholicism we've been hearing a lot from from this Pope,
- 8:27so he gets the award.
- 8:29I don't know if that would have happened with another pope,
- 8:31but
- 8:32who knows?
- 8:32Biden administration,
- 8:33another parting shot,
- 8:34announcing an AI rule to enhance national security
- 8:38and economic might.
- 8:39The Biden administration is rolling out the new rule that
- 8:41is aimed at responsible use of artificial intelligence technology.
- 8:45According to a press release about the rule,
- 8:46the action streamlines licensing.
- 8:49and provides clarity to allied and partner nations
- 8:52about how they can benefit from AI.
- 8:54The action is designed to safeguard the most advanced AI technology
- 8:59and ensure that it stays out of the hands of our foreign adversaries,
- 9:02but also enabling the broad diffusion and sharing of the benefits
- 9:06with partner
- 9:07countries.
- 9:07OK,
- 9:08now look,
- 9:09that one,
- 9:09you want to secure AI.
- 9:11It is important that we control it and
- 9:13countries like
- 9:14China don't get ahead of us on AI.
- 9:16So you know,
- 9:17some of this might be OK.
- 9:19The other thing is I just don't want someone
- 9:21who is as close to taking their last breath
- 9:24as Joe Biden is dealing with new technologies.
- 9:27I just feel like that's bad.
- 9:29I don't know
- 9:30how this will work out.
- 9:31Surely,
- 9:32since it's Biden's idea,
- 9:33supposedly,
- 9:34supposedly
- 9:35it will work out poorly because most of his ideas do.
- 9:39Another parting shot Biden is extending
- 9:41protections for immigrants from Venezuela,
- 9:43El Salvador,
- 9:44and Ukraine.
- 9:45President Joe Biden on Friday extended.
- 9:46Temporary Protective status for immigrants living in the US for some countries,
- 9:49including Venezuela,
- 9:50El Salvador,
- 9:50and Ukraine.
- 9:51Biden's actions come 10 days before he leaves office and could
- 9:55benefit about a million migrants who will be shielded from deportation
- 9:59for up
- 10:00to 18 months.
- 10:02The striking thing about this to me was El Salvador.
- 10:05El Salvador,
- 10:06these protections came in 1990 because of a civil war.
- 10:08They were renewed in 2001,
- 10:10I think it was because of earthquakes.
- 10:12Um,
- 10:13but El Salvador is doing pretty well right now.
- 10:15They're like in
- 10:16the highest point they've been in a very long time under Bukele.
- 10:20They've got all this Bitcoin at 100,000.
- 10:22They've they've knocked out a lot of the crime problem in this country.
- 10:25Like why would we,
- 10:26I don't know,
- 10:26why are we extending these now?
- 10:28I,
- 10:28I guess
- 10:29these people have been here for a while,
- 10:30so we're just going to extend it,
- 10:31but that's.
- 10:32A little odd.
- 10:32Again,
- 10:33I think it's not our responsibility to take in everybody from terrible countries.
- 10:36Like Ukraine's a good example of this.
- 10:38Like
- 10:38they're looking at Ukraine and they're saying,
- 10:39well,
- 10:39they're at war,
- 10:40so we need to take these people in,
- 10:41and I understand that motivation,
- 10:42and sometimes it's the right motivation,
- 10:45but it's not necessarily our,
- 10:46our jobs to protect these people and keep them here forever.
- 10:50You know,
- 10:50like if we take in somebody who's in El Salvador in the middle of a civil war,
- 10:54and then that civil war ends,
- 10:56and they no longer have a lot of the problems we were talking about at that time.
- 10:59Is it time to say like,
- 11:00OK,
- 11:01now go through the normal process.
- 11:02Like,
- 11:03if you can clear that normal process,
- 11:04great,
- 11:05but why are we making special exemptions at this
- 11:07point for giant groups of people like that?
- 11:09It doesn't really make all that much sense.
- 11:11And finally,
- 11:11uh,
- 11:12this isn't exactly a Biden parting shot,
- 11:13but it has to do with Biden.
- 11:15The Philadelphia mayor is lobbying for a Biden presidential library.
- 11:19It is important to note,
- 11:21there are no human beings
- 11:23in the world
- 11:24that would ever visit a Biden library.
- 11:28None.
- 11:28No,
- 11:29it will literally be an empty building with a bunch of shredded documents.
- 11:33Uh,
- 11:33that's because that's all he basically has.
- 11:36Immediately and forevermore.
- 11:37It will cost us a bunch of money to protect a building that no one will ever visit.
- 11:41That is just the fact of the matter.
- 11:43No one cares about Joe Biden.
- 11:45Nobody.
- 11:46It is,
- 11:46he is a sad
- 11:47old failure,
- 11:49is what he is.
- 11:50Anyway,
- 11:50um,
- 11:51the mayor of Philly said there are many reasons
- 11:54that the city would be the appropriate spot.
- 11:56For the repository of Biden's history,
- 11:58the fact that he would refer to President Joe Biden from Scranton with very strong
- 12:02Philadelphia roots
- 12:03as our third US senator,
- 12:04it is appropriate.
- 12:06I would love for his library to be here in Philadelphia,
- 12:08the birthplace of democracy.
- 12:10First of all,
- 12:10Philadelphia's got a lot of really important buildings,
- 12:12a lot of really important historical
- 12:14documents,
- 12:15buildings,
- 12:16events that have happened there.
- 12:17Joe Biden would be lost in that,
- 12:19uh,
- 12:20you know,
- 12:20immediately.
- 12:21I will say even if you were to put it in Scranton,
- 12:24people would be like,
- 12:25well,
- 12:26where was the Office filmed?
- 12:27Wasn't filmed in Scranton.
- 12:28Uh,
- 12:29but still,
- 12:29that's what people would think about.
- 12:31Uh,
- 12:31they would not,
- 12:32they,
- 12:32they,
- 12:32I think the opening of The Office was filmed in Scranton.
- 12:34So,
- 12:35people would rather see those buildings than the Joe Biden
- 12:38Museum.
- 12:39But if you're going to put it somewhere,
- 12:40you'd think you'd put it in Scranton,
- 12:43why are you putting it in Philly?
- 12:44It makes no sense.
- 12:45No one cares about it.
- 12:46No one's going to visit it.
- 12:50And I will say,
- 12:51it's just bad luck.
- 12:52You put the Biden library in Philly,
- 12:54the Eagles never win another Super Bowl.
- 12:55That,
- 12:56that is just,
- 12:56I think,
- 12:57right off,
- 12:57I don't want it just for that particular reason.
- 12:59By the way,
- 13:00did I mention the Eagles are still in the playoffs?
- 13:02Uh,
- 13:03that's going to be very interesting.
- 13:04I should also tell you,
- 13:05we have,
- 13:05uh,
- 13:06uh,
- 13:06you've been waiting for this moment for many years.
- 13:09Many,
- 13:09many years.
- 13:09You've been thinking to yourself,
- 13:10gosh,
- 13:10Joe Biden is terrible.
- 13:11Look at all the things he's doing.
- 13:12He's awful.
- 13:13Even just his parting shots are terrible,
- 13:15but his entire presidency
- 13:17has been horrible from beginning to end.
- 13:18I can't wait
- 13:20for this
- 13:21to end.
- 13:21Well,
- 13:22good news,
- 13:22boys and girls,
- 13:23it ends on Monday.

- 13:49You're going to see Donald Trump's speech and you'll see him up there
- 13:52and you'll see him up there getting sworn in and all that stuff.
- 13:55That's all going to happen and we all understand that's going to happen.
- 13:57You can watch it on CNN.
- 13:58You can watch it on MSNBC if you like,
- 14:00or
- 14:00you'd become part of Blaze TV.
- 14:02It'd be part of a really important movement,
- 14:04I think,
- 14:04especially as we go into this new term.
- 14:06I don't know if there's anybody
- 14:07better positioned to cover this,
- 14:09this incoming administration than Blaze TV is.
- 14:12We've got a lot of great people
- 14:14who have lots of close ties to the administration,
- 14:16who know all about,
- 14:18you know,
- 14:19the focus that they're going to have as we go in.
- 14:21To the next 4 years
- 14:23and uh we're gonna be there,
- 14:24you know,

- 15:04Right,
- 15:05I'm talking to Glenn Beck right now.
- 15:07Uh,
- 15:07Glenn Beck,
- 15:07he's a
- 15:08brand new special coming up at 9:00 p.m. Eastern tonight.
- 15:11It's California fires and New Jersey drones,
- 15:14Government Secrets
- 15:16exposed.
- 15:17Be sure to stay tuned.
- 15:18Glenn,
- 15:18how's it going?
- 15:19Uh
- 15:19just so you know,
- 15:20in,
- 15:21we were just talking in the break about
- 15:23cow teats.
- 15:24Uh,
- 15:25we were,
- 15:26yeah,
- 15:27and,
- 15:27uh,
- 15:27well,
- 15:27I,
- 15:28you know,
- 15:28and we weren't gonna talk about this,
- 15:30but
- 15:30I had read something online.
- 15:32I don't know how I even stumbled upon it,
- 15:33but it was somebody
- 15:34who worked at a farm
- 15:36and was talking about raw milk
- 15:38and was saying like,
- 15:39hey,
- 15:39like the raw milk thing,
- 15:40like I know a lot of people think it's great and everything,
- 15:42but like I'm there.
- 15:44With all the other cow body parts that are right nearby
- 15:48and you don't want to have raw milk,
- 15:50and I was like I kind of,
- 15:51so it's sort of connected unless you've seen how raw milk,
- 15:54I mean,
- 15:55it's,
- 15:56it's very clean,
- 15:58it is very it is this is not the case this guy was making.
- 16:01Well,
- 16:01I don't know if that guy is,
- 16:02you know,
- 16:03doing raw milk the right way,
- 16:05um,
- 16:06it's very clean.
- 16:07They,
- 16:07they,
- 16:08they back those cows up and you're half a floor down,
- 16:12so you're kind of right there.
- 16:14And they wash,
- 16:16then they sterilize,
- 16:17then they
- 16:18dip the teats
- 16:20into something and put the thing right on.
- 16:22So it's very clean.
- 16:24That's good to hear,
- 16:24yeah,
- 16:25because
- 16:25it did not sound like something I mean that was,
- 16:28you know,
- 16:28in the 1800s,
- 16:29that's not the way it was done,
- 16:31so it wasn't good for you.
- 16:32A lot better now.
- 16:33So there you go,
- 16:34in case you were looking at raw milk,
- 16:35it's,
- 16:35it's safer now apparently,
- 16:36so there you go.
- 16:37Um,
- 16:38that wasn't,
- 16:38now that's not one of the government secrets you're going to expose tonight,
- 16:41I hope,
- 16:42because,
- 16:43not really,
- 16:44although I would like to expose why we just.
- 16:47Took
- 16:48red dye number 3 off.
- 16:50That's a fascinating one,
- 16:51right?
- 16:51It is.
- 16:51Yeah,
- 16:51especially,
- 16:52honestly,
- 16:53the only thing that surprises me at all about it is the timing,
- 16:56um,
- 16:56because RFK Junior has been talking about taking,
- 16:59getting rid of a bunch of basically everything on the market he wants to ban,
- 17:03but red dye number 3 has been,
- 17:04I would say,
- 17:04top of the list,
- 17:06top 2,
- 17:07that he's been talking about for a really long time,
- 17:09and.
- 17:10The FDA,
- 17:11which is
- 17:12right,
- 17:12correct me if I'm wrong,
- 17:13still under Biden's control,
- 17:15comes out today
- 17:17and bans red dye number 3 from all food and drink.
- 17:20So what else are the red dye people involved in?
- 17:23Uh,
- 17:24watch the other possible.
- 17:25The red dye people are like,
- 17:27yeah,
- 17:27but we don't want them to know about green and yellow 20,
- 17:31right,
- 17:31right,
- 17:31you know what I mean,
- 17:32because it was interesting because I thought of it as like,
- 17:34in a way this removes a hurdle for RFK,
- 17:37right,
- 17:37where it would have taken him time
- 17:40at some level.
- 17:41I,
- 17:41I,
- 17:42the FDA stuff is really weird like looking into it.
- 17:45He really
- 17:46can kind of just do it on a whim.
- 17:48He can kind of ban whatever he wants on a whim.
- 17:49Now,
- 17:50obviously I don't,
- 17:51I don't like that either,
- 17:52um,
- 17:53because a lot of it just has to do with the FDA just putting a letter or a statement out.
- 17:57Um,
- 17:57where
- 17:58it's supposed to go through a multi-year scientific process,
- 18:02like is RFJ Gy Junior going to want to do that?
- 18:04I mean,
- 18:04I think he believes he knows a lot about the science anyway,
- 18:07so I don't know how long this stuff would take
- 18:09or how aggressive he would be.
- 18:10I would think
- 18:11he's not going to do anything
- 18:12banning wise that's going to piss Trump off,
- 18:15right?
- 18:16The one that keeps coming to mind is,
- 18:17is,
- 18:18is aspartame and and and Trump loves his Diet Coke.
- 18:21So I don't think it just doesn't strike me as something he would do.
- 18:25Seed oils is another one,
- 18:26but that's such a broad category
- 18:28that even if he opposes them,
- 18:30banning all seed oils from food is,
- 18:33first of all,
- 18:34you know,
- 18:34I mean it's going to be it would be huge.
- 18:36And it will be not good for farmers,
- 18:39right?
- 18:39It will be horrible for farmers.
- 18:41Um,
- 18:41it just seems implausible politically and also just pragmatically.
- 18:45Now,
- 18:45will he just write
- 18:47a letter and
- 18:49let it happen?
- 18:50I don't know.
- 18:50We,
- 18:50we will see.
- 18:51What do you make of this,
- 18:52uh,
- 18:53uh,
- 18:53of the,
- 18:54of the banning of red dye number 3?
- 18:57I,
- 18:57I have
- 18:58absolutely no idea.
- 18:59I can't.
- 19:00Why would they do it before he comes in,
- 19:01right,
- 19:02unless the red dye people are into something else.
- 19:05So you think maybe it's like,
- 19:06I actually think this has been going on for a long time and they just,
- 19:09you know,
- 19:09just kind of came to the conclusion and just the timing is just coincidental.
- 19:13I kind of feel like Biden wants credit for it.
- 19:15Yeah,
- 19:16maybe,
- 19:16you know,
- 19:16like doesn't want to give it to,
- 19:18this is him stopping cancer.
- 19:20Oh my gosh,
- 19:20he's done it.
- 19:21He's finally cured cancer.
- 19:22We can update the website.
- 19:23Uh,
- 19:23the other thing,
- 19:24uh,
- 19:24that's kind of interesting is I think it says something positive
- 19:28to for RFK's confirmation.
- 19:31Because if they're,
- 19:32they're sort of adopting Trump adjacent
- 19:35viewpoints here,
- 19:37yeah,
- 19:37but there's a difference between
- 19:40red dye
- 19:41and
- 19:43vaccinations.
- 19:44Yeah.
- 19:45So they're still gonna oppose him on that stuff,
- 19:47I think.
- 19:48I don't think they're gonna embrace him fully,
- 19:50but
- 19:50can he get
- 19:525 to 10 Democratic Senate votes?
- 19:54Oh,
- 19:54I think he can.
- 19:56I think he can too.
- 19:57I think he also will probably lose some Republicans.
- 19:59I,
- 19:59I,
- 19:59I,
- 19:59I could be wrong on that,
- 20:00but I think like a Mitch McConnell is.
- 20:02Mitch McConnell's gonna stop
- 20:04Donald Trump's agenda any way he can.
- 20:07Although he's gonna vote for
- 20:08almost all of his appointees,
- 20:09I think.
- 20:10I think RFK,
- 20:10I mean,
- 20:11remember,
- 20:12Mitch McConnell's been around for a while,
- 20:13Glenn,
- 20:13I don't know if you know this.
- 20:14Uh,
- 20:14dude had polio.
- 20:16So anyone who I think McConnell did,
- 20:17yes,
- 20:18he actually
- 20:19had had polio.
- 20:20Not,
- 20:20not,
- 20:20well,
- 20:21that puts you,
- 20:22that puts you in a different century,
- 20:23maybe even two different centuries.
- 20:26But you could see him being.
- 20:28You know,
- 20:28really,
- 20:29uh,
- 20:30maybe really holding that line on anyone who's threatening.
- 20:33Now RFK Junior says he's not going to pull the polio vaccine or
- 20:37go after it,
- 20:38but still,
- 20:39where does he stand on iron lungs?
- 20:43Want one?
- 20:43Need one.
- 20:44So,
- 20:45a lot of fun.
- 20:46We've got Boy in the bubble,
- 20:47how does he feel on that?
- 20:47We don't know.
- 20:48Um,
- 20:49OK,
- 20:49so let me get to,
- 20:50uh,
- 20:50let me get to your actual show here.
- 20:52The California fires.
- 20:54A fascinating thing,
- 20:55I think,
- 20:56uh,
- 20:56I was reading a statement from Donald Trump the other day where he said,
- 20:59this is one of the worst,
- 21:00the biggest disasters we've ever seen in American history.
- 21:04And he kind of says that about everything.
- 21:06Yeah,
- 21:07but completely right on this.
- 21:08Like this is legitimately one of the worst things we've ever seen in our lifetimes.
- 21:12Yeah,
- 21:12this is the Chicago Fire,
- 21:14the San Francisco fire probably combined,
- 21:17um,
- 21:17I mean,
- 21:18you know,
- 21:18those,
- 21:18those wiped out the cities,
- 21:21um,
- 21:21while this hasn't taken the,
- 21:23the actual city of Los Angeles down,
- 21:26it's taken a lot of the,
- 21:28the burbs and the,
- 21:30and,
- 21:31you know,
- 21:31LA County,
- 21:32um,
- 21:33uh,
- 21:34I've never seen anything like it and
- 21:36what is it gonna take to rebuild all of this?
- 21:38And you know I think the biggest thing is
- 21:41we have to know the truth on all of this.
- 21:45Are we going to get it?
- 21:46I don't know,
- 21:48but I agree with the members of Congress.
- 21:51They have never
- 21:52proven themselves to be responsible with money.
- 21:55They are the Ukraine of the United States when it comes to money.
- 21:59No idea what happened to that money,
- 22:01you know what I mean?
- 22:02And I think there should be accountability for every dollar spent,
- 22:06and there should be some strings attached to it.
- 22:09You know,
- 22:09because why would we help rebuild California if they're,
- 22:13if they're gonna just
- 22:14keep the underbrush,
- 22:15if they're not gonna they're not going to build another
- 22:18uh uh reservoir,
- 22:20if you're not going to take care of the things you need to take care of.
- 22:24Gavin Newsom is the reason why we don't have nice things in California.
- 22:29You've got to change the behavior.
- 22:32Do you,
- 22:32uh,
- 22:33because I'm fascinated by this because I mean,
- 22:35you said that you have never seen anything like it,
- 22:36but you actually dug up some old pictures of Nagasaki
- 22:40and looked pretty similar.
- 22:41I know scale maybe not as big as the nuclear bomb,
- 22:44but
- 22:45it really was.
- 22:46Entire
- 22:47areas flattened
- 22:50with just some trees.
- 22:53Uh,
- 22:53some chimneys
- 22:54that were left exactly the way we see California now.
- 22:58Now Gavin Newsom is saying you can't sell your house.
- 23:01Uh,
- 23:01you're rubble,
- 23:02you don't even have a house anymore,
- 23:03but he's saying basically he's trying to prevent what he says are,
- 23:07uh,
- 23:07people trying to take advantage of the situation,
- 23:09speculators that would come in and buy on the cheap,
- 23:11some of these properties
- 23:12when people are in their dire needs.
- 23:14And I think a lot of people would be like,
- 23:15yeah,
- 23:15good job,
- 23:16Gavin.
- 23:17But like,
- 23:17what if you want to sell your house?
- 23:20What if you want to sell your house?
- 23:22Gavin won't allow somebody to buy your house?
- 23:25I,
- 23:26I,
- 23:26you know,
- 23:26I'm,
- 23:27if I'm
- 23:28even my age and I'm living there.
- 23:31Uh,
- 23:33do I want to,
- 23:34do I want to waste probably with all the red tape and everything else,
- 23:376 years at least of building,
- 23:40rebuilding?
- 23:41Can you imagine the red tape that that thing is going to hold,
- 23:44so.
- 23:45I gotta wait 6 years?
- 23:47No,
- 23:48go down and look at some of those areas of New Orleans.
- 23:51They still look like they did in 2005,
- 23:53right?
- 23:53Not interested,
- 23:54not interested,
- 23:55and you're not going to let me sell my house.
- 23:57Now,
- 23:57I think technically the way it's worded is
- 23:59unsolicited offers you're not allowed to make,
- 24:01so you couldn't go to an
- 24:03owner,
- 24:03a homeowner and say,
- 24:04hey,
- 24:05we want to buy your house for a million dollars.
- 24:07You interested?
- 24:08If they can obviously list it theoretically for a price that they want,
- 24:12but like
- 24:13why is that Gavin Newsom's business again?
- 24:15Why wouldn't these people be able to make decisions on their own
- 24:19whether they want to receive those offers,
- 24:20whether they want to pick up the phone,
- 24:22whether they want to respond,
- 24:23whether they want to say screw you,
- 24:24get out of my town,
- 24:25whatever it is.
- 24:26Why can't they make those decisions for themselves?
- 24:28Because there's somebody in that neighborhood who's too stupid
- 24:31and needs to be protected against themselves.
- 24:34That's really what he thinks.
- 24:35No,
- 24:35it is,
- 24:36it is.
- 24:37And it's interesting because,
- 24:38you know,
- 24:38a lot of support comes from,
- 24:40uh,
- 24:40that area of town.
- 24:42How many people are so stupid they need you
- 24:45to hold their hand.
- 24:46The guy who,
- 24:46I mean,
- 24:47you're holding the flamethrower almost,
- 24:49Gavin.
- 24:50I mean,
- 24:51you are the guy responsible and you know best.
- 24:56Boy,
- 24:56if California doesn't wake up from this,
- 24:58but this is why we need
- 25:00transparency on it.
- 25:01We need to know
- 25:03exactly who did what when.
- 25:06They didn't want to put fire trucks out
- 25:08to preposition them.
- 25:10Why?
- 25:11Because
- 25:12they didn't want to pay overtime.
- 25:15That is so shortsighted.
- 25:17Who
- 25:17made that decision?
- 25:20Under what kind of pressure
- 25:22was that decision made?
- 25:23Was that because,
- 25:24no,
- 25:24I want to spend it on new one-legged lesbian dogs?
- 25:29You know,
- 25:29to be firemen,
- 25:30you know,
- 25:31uh,
- 25:31Dalmatian,
- 25:32but I only want them to have gay spots or I don't know,
- 25:36purple spots,
- 25:38um.
- 25:39It's very possible there is very possible there was a study,
- 25:43um,
- 25:43but.
- 25:45Who made that decision?
- 25:47How far did that go?
- 25:48Who did not refill that reservoir
- 25:52for 2 years?
- 25:53And is it in the purview of the fire chief of that area
- 25:59to recognize,
- 26:01hey,
- 26:01our reservoir hasn't been filled for 2 years?
- 26:06How does the state not
- 26:09comprehend forest fires happen there all the time?
- 26:11Well,
- 26:11it's a totally local issue and Gavin Newsom just didn't want to
- 26:14get involved because of his strong belief it's central government is bad.
- 26:18So that's,
- 26:18that's right.
- 26:19Can we go to a more base level of this,
- 26:21Glenn?
- 26:21Have you speculated about this at all on your own?
- 26:24What are the odds this is a,
- 26:28a normal
- 26:29natural fire starting?
- 26:31What are the odds that this is like an electrical,
- 26:34you know,
- 26:34you have a situation where electricity
- 26:36comes off of some wire and starts to spark like that.
- 26:40I mean,
- 26:41is there a possibility that this is an intentional attack?
- 26:44I mean,
- 26:45it's weird to think of it as a terrorist attack,
- 26:47but it would be a way they could do it.
- 26:49I think the answer is yes to all of those.
- 26:52I think it was
- 26:53probably a natural fire
- 26:56in some places.
- 26:58It
- 26:58was
- 26:59probably
- 27:01another part of it comes from the power lines going down.
- 27:05Um,
- 27:06I think there's probably another part of it that is
- 27:09just homeless people setting fires.
- 27:12Another part of it of probably foreign,
- 27:15uh,
- 27:16people coming in and
- 27:18joining in
- 27:19because we had caught a couple of people,
- 27:21right,
- 27:22I think
- 27:2315,
- 27:24that,
- 27:24yeah,
- 27:25um,
- 27:26and
- 27:27almost all of them are foreign nationals.
- 27:31Uh,
- 27:31so
- 27:32what does that mean?
- 27:34Why did that happen?
- 27:35And is there incompetence?
- 27:37Yeah,
- 27:38so I think it's all of those things.
- 27:39I think this is,
- 27:41this is the biggest cluster.
- 27:44You know what I'm saying,
- 27:45than
- 27:46than anything else I've seen,
- 27:48this is.
- 27:50And Gavin Newsom is walking around.
- 27:52I mean,
- 27:52how could you even
- 27:54in Japan,
- 27:56the leader would have
- 27:57killed himself by this point of shame,
- 28:00of shame.
- 28:01I mean,
- 28:02how could you be this
- 28:04incompetent?
- 28:05So this leads to the biggest
- 28:07question maybe in the aftermath of this.
- 28:10There couldn't be a clearer lesson,
- 28:12a clearer message being sent by,
- 28:14by this environment and the way it's being responded to
- 28:17and the way and what led up to it.
- 28:20Does California
- 28:22learn?
- 28:25No.
- 28:27No.
- 28:29Mm.
- 28:30I don't see Republicans winning elections there
- 28:34by any real degree.
- 28:37No.
- 28:38God,
- 28:38that's,
- 28:38that's absolutely incredible.
- 28:40I mean,
- 28:40this is,
- 28:40this is a state that Reagan came from.
- 28:42Yeah,
- 28:42they're gonna be capture that at all.
- 28:43They're gonna be pissed that the government isn't doing more
- 28:47to help them now.
- 28:50God,
- 28:50you're,
- 28:50you're,
- 28:51I mean,
- 28:51I think you're totally right.
- 28:52It's very depressing.
- 28:53You notice that the,
- 28:54the Trump part of the country,
- 28:56um,
- 28:57the Carolinas,
- 28:58uh,
- 28:58they're hit by a hurricane
- 29:00and they're given $700 and told,
- 29:02Well,
- 29:02get up you're off your butt and
- 29:04fix it yourself.
- 29:05These guys
- 29:07immediately will take care of your every need.
- 29:11Because
- 29:11those guys expect it.
- 29:13Mhm.
- 29:13Very true.
- 29:14Glenn Beck has a new special coming up tonight at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.
- 29:16Be sure to stay tuned.
- 29:17Tonight it's California Fires and the New Jersey drones.
- 29:20Government Secrets exposed,
- 29:22as always,
- 29:23the best way to watch is Blaze TV blazetv.com.
- 29:26Uh,
- 29:26or actually go to StuoAmerica.com is the easiest way.
- 29:28Michael Shellenberger is on tonight.
- 29:30Oh really?
- 29:31Yeah,
- 29:31you don't want to miss him.
- 29:32How different would this have been if he was actually governor?
- 29:34He ran for governor,
- 29:35did not win.
- 29:35I know.
- 29:36It would have been a lot better.
- 29:37Caruso as mayor,
- 29:38Shellenberger as governor,
- 29:39would have made the situation a lot better.
- 29:41StuoAmerica.com.
- 29:42The code is Stu,
- 29:4220 bucks off your subscription to Blaze TV.
- 29:54Well,
- 29:54Donald Trump has received a gift from
- 29:57Coca-Cola,
- 29:58and Coca-Cola was critical,
- 30:00uh,
- 30:01back in the day.
- 30:01Do we have the criticism here somewhere?
- 30:03I had it at one point.
- 30:04Uh,
- 30:05they were kind of,
- 30:05uh,
- 30:06pissy about January 6th back in the day,
- 30:08as many were.
- 30:09I didn't like it either.
- 30:09I don't know.
- 30:10blamed Donald Trump for it,
- 30:12but
- 30:12I did not like the events of that day all that much.
- 30:15In fact,
- 30:15I didn't like them at all,
- 30:17frankly.
- 30:17But
- 30:19Donald Trump is now a,
- 30:21a few years later,
- 30:22getting an award
- 30:24from Coca-Cola.
- 30:25Tonight President Trump received.
- 30:27The first ever presidential commemorative inaugural Diet Coke bottle
- 30:31from the chairman and CEO of Coca-Cola Company,
- 30:33James Quincy.
- 30:34Now
- 30:34it's funny because,
- 30:35you know,
- 30:36like we've talked about the Calci
- 30:38markets before here on the program.
- 30:40These are these prediction markets.
- 30:41What's going to happen in the administration?
- 30:42What's going to happen in the election?
- 30:43What's going to happen in all these different things,
- 30:45Entertainment,
- 30:45sports,
- 30:46they have a million markets.
- 30:47It's a lot of fun if you are interested in that at all.
- 30:49K A L S H I
- 30:51is the way you spell it.
- 30:52Then there's,
- 30:53uh,
- 30:53it's,
- 30:53it's interesting.
- 30:55They had a market there.
- 30:56What will RFK ban,
- 30:58uh,
- 30:58in the,
- 30:59in before January 1st,
- 31:012026.
- 31:02And they had three things on there,
- 31:03which was red number 3.
- 31:05Which is interesting because RFK didn't ban it,
- 31:08but it was banned today
- 31:10by the outgoing Biden administration.
- 31:12We could have put that in parting shots,
- 31:13I suppose,
- 31:13as well.
- 31:15Whatever you feel about red number 3,
- 31:16which is
- 31:17likely nothing.
- 31:18I mean,
- 31:18no one cares about which
- 31:21there's going to be other food dyes that people will use.
- 31:24I don't think anybody cares about whether you're using red number 3 or not,
- 31:27although you know some people believe there's really serious health effects on it.
- 31:31We've gone over some of that stuff before.
- 31:33No need to revisit it,
- 31:34but the bottom line is
- 31:35it's interesting that before RFK has a chance to be confirmed,
- 31:39the Biden administration
- 31:40does this through the FDA.
- 31:43So
- 31:43that actually it's kind of a fascinating thing because that
- 31:46one is now apparently a successful contract on these markets
- 31:52because it happened before January 1st,
- 31:542026,
- 31:55and the way the rules are.
- 31:58read
- 31:59are written.
- 32:00When you read them,
- 32:01you can see that
- 32:02that
- 32:03fulfills that contract.
- 32:04What's fascinating about that is just the fact that RFK didn't even do it.
- 32:07It's like
- 32:07there's this weird thing
- 32:09where a lot of these
- 32:11industries are kind of taking these
- 32:14Trump adjacent policies and kind of adopting them and
- 32:16giving Donald Trump a little bit of a hug
- 32:18to avoid,
- 32:19I think,
- 32:19the
- 32:21the downfall.
- 32:21The reason I bring up the Calci contract
- 32:23is because another option there was aspartame.
- 32:26Um,
- 32:26which is,
- 32:27of course,
- 32:28the,
- 32:28you know,
- 32:28main ingredient,
- 32:29one of the main sweeteners that goes into,
- 32:31uh,
- 32:31Diet Coke.
- 32:32Now,
- 32:33it's just,
- 32:33I don't think it's a coincidence
- 32:35that
- 32:36Diet Coke is like,
- 32:37hey,
- 32:38commemorative bottle for you,
- 32:39Don,
- 32:40because I don't,
- 32:41RFK definitely wants to ban,
- 32:43I mean,
- 32:43let's be honest about it,
- 32:45everything.
- 32:45The guy wants there to be
- 32:46a solely,
- 32:47only like,
- 32:48um,
- 32:49uh,
- 32:49organic cow meat is the only thing you're allowed to eat.
- 32:52He wants everything banned.
- 32:53Nothing that's fun to eat does this guy want in existence.
- 32:57You know,
- 32:58aspartame would be a target of his if he were president of the United States,
- 33:02but Don loves his Diet Coke,
- 33:04so I don't know.
- 33:04I'm kind of skeptical on that one in particular.
- 33:06That one,
- 33:06I think,
- 33:07has only a 9% chance of being banned.
- 33:10So there you go.
- 33:10The other one is seed oils.
- 33:12That would be an interesting thing to ban entirely
- 33:15all oils that come from seeds.
- 33:17Also,
- 33:17what would that do to farmers,
- 33:18right?
- 33:19Farmers who make tons and tons of money off of seed oils.
- 33:22Again,
- 33:22another one I can't see Donald Trump being like,
- 33:24go ahead,
- 33:25uh,
- 33:25you know,
- 33:26RFK,
- 33:26just go ahead and ban that and and screw all these farmers.
- 33:29Like I just don't see that as happening.
- 33:31But you know,
- 33:31again,
- 33:31we will see.
- 33:32Um,
- 33:33Michelle Obama has made a statement,
- 33:34she's not going
- 33:36to the Trump inauguration.
- 33:38This is interesting because
- 33:40Barack Obama will be there.
- 33:42The Bushes will be there.
- 33:43Now look,
- 33:44Barack Obama,
- 33:44the Bushes,
- 33:45they don't like Donald Trump either,
- 33:46none of them do.
- 33:47But you know there is this sort of idea that like this is a
- 33:50um.
- 33:51I don't know.
- 33:52It's part of the tradition.
- 33:53It's part of the peaceful transition of power.
- 33:56You kind of do that unless you're trying to make a statement.
- 33:59Now Michelle Obama is the type of person
- 34:01that will absolutely
- 34:03put her own personal statement above the
- 34:06trappings of tradition here in our country.
- 34:09She doesn't like,
- 34:09she said outwardly she wants to change our traditions,
- 34:13change our history,
- 34:14so she's in the middle of doing that.
- 34:16And you might say,
- 34:16well,
- 34:16wait a minute,
- 34:17Donald Trump didn't go to the
- 34:19Hand off to Joe Biden,
- 34:21which is true,
- 34:22but again,
- 34:23what was he doing?
- 34:24He was making a big fat statement,
- 34:26right?
- 34:26He was saying,
- 34:26I don't believe I lost this election.
- 34:28This is wrong.
- 34:29I'm not going there,
- 34:30not to mention
- 34:31after January 6th there was worries about more riots and such,
- 34:34so
- 34:34that's why that one happened.
- 34:36Now it's not just
- 34:39Michelle Obama who's making a statement.
- 34:40Kamala Harris is declining to.
- 34:42Invite JD Vance
- 34:43to the courtesy visit to vice presidential residents before inauguration.
- 34:48This is an interesting one
- 34:49solely because like
- 34:50a lot of times you'll hear this case
- 34:52from the left in the mainstream media
- 34:54that Donald Trump is uniquely bad,
- 34:56right?
- 34:56Like
- 34:57Donald Trump is different.
- 34:57He's different than Mitt Romney or George W.
- 35:00Bush or John McCain or any of the other Republicans that have come before him.
- 35:03He's
- 35:04uniquely evil.
- 35:05He's.
- 35:05Absolutely terrible.
- 35:06And that's why we
- 35:07do all these things like try to throw him in prison because he's that
- 35:10bad.
- 35:11It's not like we're going to do this to all Republicans,
- 35:13no,
- 35:14no,
- 35:14it's just the fact that Donald Trump is uniquely that terrible.
- 35:18Well,
- 35:18as we see here,
- 35:19JD Vance is also uniquely that terrible,
- 35:21and you know what?
- 35:22Every other candidate that comes out and Ron DeSantiss would
- 35:25have been uniquely that terrible had he had won the,
- 35:27uh,
- 35:27uh,
- 35:27the,
- 35:28the primary.
- 35:29It really doesn't matter.
- 35:30The bottom line is they're going to make
- 35:31any Republican that comes in front of them to be Satan.
- 35:34And you know that by now,
- 35:36I suppose,
- 35:36but it is very much true.
- 35:38The House is passing a transgender sports bill.
- 35:41The legislation
- 35:42will strip federal funding
- 35:44from schools that let transgender girls compete
- 35:47in female sports categories.
- 35:49So
- 35:50you know you're letting your,
- 35:51uh,
- 35:53you know,
- 35:53some dude who's saying he's a chick transport over to the women's area.
- 35:58You know,
- 35:58if they were,
- 35:59let's say,
- 35:59a very mediocre men's swim swimmer and all of a sudden become
- 36:02the best swimmer in the whole universe as a woman.
- 36:04Uh,
- 36:05that they're going to say,
- 36:06OK,
- 36:06you can do that.
- 36:07We can't really stop you from doing it at this point,
- 36:09but what we can do is pull all your funding.
- 36:11So we will see if they,
- 36:13uh,
- 36:13if that actually goes through.
- 36:14There was a few Democrats that were on board for that.
- 36:17I want to say it was 5.
- 36:19It wasn't a ton,
- 36:20but there were a few House Democrats,
- 36:22um,
- 36:24who jumped on board for that one.
- 36:25I'm missing the number here,
- 36:26but it was a low number,
- 36:27but there was some bipartisanship involved in that particular bill.
- 36:30Also some bipartisanship in the TikTok ban.
- 36:33Now the TikTok ban is
- 36:34set up for this
- 36:38it's going to be Sunday is actually the day
- 36:40that the ban shutdown happens.
- 36:42I will say this is being overblown by quite a bit.
- 36:46This is of course TikTok,
- 36:47which I think is legitimately terrible.
- 36:49I mean it is a terrible app in a million different ways.
- 36:53First of all,
- 36:54it takes your mind.
- 36:56And it turns it into a special kind of green mush
- 36:59that no other app can do,
- 37:01I think,
- 37:02because
- 37:03it is just the most mindless nonsense.
- 37:05Now that's not to say there's not some good creators on there.
- 37:07I think there are.
- 37:08You know,
- 37:09my wife really likes
- 37:11the idea of interior decorating tips,
- 37:12and she's like,
- 37:13I love it for that.
- 37:15OK,
- 37:15I mean,
- 37:15I think you can get that from Pinterest or Reels or 100 different other places,
- 37:20but OK,
- 37:20I get it.
- 37:21I mean I'm not to say that there's no good creators over there,
- 37:24but this is a tool
- 37:26designed
- 37:27by and controlled by the Chinese Communist Party.
- 37:30They intentionally inject
- 37:33different
- 37:34elements of chaos into our country that they don't use in other countries.
- 37:38In fact,
- 37:39when you try to go on and get TikTok China,
- 37:41what you'll find is there isn't one.
- 37:43They don't allow TikTok in China
- 37:46because they know how terrible it will be,
- 37:48but they do have other
- 37:50sort of similar varieties.
- 37:51A lot of these creators are now switching over to those apps,
- 37:56which is funny because China controls them even more closely,
- 37:59and they're like kicking women off
- 38:01because their shirts are too low cut.
- 38:05Which again,
- 38:06does social media exist without low cut shirts of women and their boobs hanging out?
- 38:10I,
- 38:11I don't,
- 38:11I'm pretty sure the product doesn't even exist
- 38:14without that,
- 38:15but apparently in China it does.
- 38:16It's funny because
- 38:17it's being overblown largely because.
- 38:20People's
- 38:21existence here isn't really going to change.
- 38:24The way the law is written is it just
- 38:27makes it so
- 38:29places like Apple and Google can't carry a
- 38:33TikTok or a similar app
- 38:35in their app stores.
- 38:37So,
- 38:38if you are like,
- 38:39today or today it's OK.
- 38:41On Monday,
- 38:41if you're like,
- 38:41you know what,
- 38:42I'm now on the TikTok bandwagon,
- 38:44I'm gonna join up for the first time,
- 38:46you won't be able to download the app from the App Store,
- 38:48so no new
- 38:50people on TikTok,
- 38:51which sounds like
- 38:52a glorious future.
- 38:54Secondarily,
- 38:55if
- 38:57you can't do an app update,
- 38:58so no new features
- 39:00on TikTok.
- 39:01Another thing that
- 39:03could be actually problematic down the line
- 39:05is if Apple updates their software in a way that it's no longer
- 39:09no longer works
- 39:10with TikTok,
- 39:11that could be a problem for people,
- 39:12but that's probably years away.
- 39:15If you remember the situation with the game
- 39:18Flappy Bird for a few years ago,
- 39:21long story short,
- 39:22it became a very viral game.
- 39:23It was a very difficult game that,
- 39:24you know,
- 39:26very basic looking but very difficult,
- 39:28became a thing for a while,
- 39:30Millions and millions of people.
- 39:31It was number one on the App Store,
- 39:32all that stuff.
- 39:33The guy who designed it said,
- 39:34Gosh,
- 39:34I'm kind of ruining people,
- 39:36their attention span,
- 39:37and I don't like how much time they're spending on this game,
- 39:40so I'm going to delete it from the App Store.
- 39:42So if you deleted the app,
- 39:43you couldn't re-download it,
- 39:45but it was still on your phone,
- 39:45it still worked.
- 39:47Also,
- 39:47if you're on TikTok,
- 39:48you could just go to the website
- 39:50tikTok.com and look at it.
- 39:52So the impact here I think is going to be pretty darn minimal.
- 39:55A lot of it has to do with creators and whether they can just go to reels,
- 39:58which by the way is basically the same thing that they stole over at Facebook.
- 40:03You can just do it there,
- 40:04um,
- 40:04although the compensation is a little bit different
- 40:07and that's been the problem they've complained about.
- 40:09Anyway,
- 40:09long story short,
- 40:10it could be a little bit of a hassle.
- 40:12Probably not that big of a deal
- 40:14at the end of the day
- 40:15and not going to have the impact that I would like,
- 40:17which is to take the app
- 40:19and literally disintegrate any
- 40:21device it comes on.
- 40:22If you download it,
- 40:23if it's on your phone,
- 40:24it just explodes like you're in Hamas.
- 40:27That's what I would like myself,
- 40:29but
- 40:30probably not going to be the new policy of the United States.
- 40:47Sarah Gonzalez was on the show I guess last
- 40:49week and brought up an important story from Texas.
- 40:52The Texas House had this battle between this annoying moderate guy who was going
- 40:58with the Democrats and a conservative candidate
- 41:01that was favored by the Republicans.
- 41:04They broke a bunch of rules to make this happen and unfortunately,
- 41:08It worked.
- 41:09Texas House elects a new Speaker in blow to far right wing.
- 41:13The guy Burroughs actually won.
- 41:15The vote was 85 to 55,
- 41:17mostly Democrats,
- 41:18but a few Republicans got in there,
- 41:20as Sarah promised,
- 41:21uh,
- 41:21they're going to go after every single one of them in primaries,
- 41:23so
- 41:24it should be,
- 41:24uh,
- 41:25quite the fireworks show over the next couple of years here in Texas,
- 41:28although it is a place
- 41:30of racial harmony,
- 41:31as I've told you before,
- 41:32I am.
- 41:33Speaking to you
- 41:33from the nation's most diverse city,
- 41:36it's true,
- 41:36Irving,
- 41:37Texas,
- 41:37which is like 25,
- 41:38almost exactly 25% of four major racial groups
- 41:42in the place that we broadcast from,
- 41:44and somehow we're OK with it,
- 41:46even as conservatives.
- 41:47It's amazing.
- 41:48Now Texas is ranking number one in racial progress from a report,
- 41:53and it's not like all super woke stuff,
- 41:55although some of the people involved in it might be.
- 41:57It is a measurement
- 41:59basically based on a few different categories
- 42:02progress on employment,
- 42:03wealth,
- 42:04education,
- 42:05social and civic engagement,
- 42:07and health.
- 42:08And we combine all those together in the number
- 42:10one state in the union for racial progress.
- 42:13Texas
- 42:22OK,
- 42:22so,
- 42:23here's what happened.
- 42:24Caitlin
- 42:25Clark,
- 42:26as you see here,
- 42:27this is what she looks like in case you didn't know,
- 42:29uh,
- 42:30she,
- 42:30uh,
- 42:31and she's,
- 42:31by the way,
