- 0:15Speaker 2: have to waste your time your money. If it's good.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Uh, we'll let you know. What did you show Taste
- 0:21Speaker 1: Drive theme today? Thanksgiving addition, Chef c Bass. There's all
- 0:26Speaker 1: kinds of smells in here. He's got the he's got
- 0:29Speaker 1: the coat, he's got the chef's hat. You look very official,
- 0:34Speaker 1: yeah professional?
- 0:36Speaker 2: Oh are we starting with that? Well, that's what we
- 0:38Speaker 2: got ready, Okay, Well.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Let's let's get it while Todd this seems to be
- 0:41Speaker 1: one of those things you gotta have if you're going
- 0:43Speaker 1: to give it the best shot.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Greg is not excited about all.
- 0:48Speaker 1: These are all Thanksgiving themed and the first thing is
- 0:51Speaker 1: the Kraft mac.
- 0:52Speaker 2: And cheese apple pie.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Now, we did try two other limited edition flavors here recently.
- 1:00Speaker 2: The pizza one. It's not bad, but it wasn't great.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:03Speaker 1: The ranch one we thought was really good. Overall, it
- 1:06Speaker 1: got a very positive response.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Overall it was very good.
- 1:09Speaker 1: But you're right, all it did was make me want
- 1:11Speaker 1: the regular Yeah, the regular one.
- 1:15Speaker 2: A spoonful of it doesn't give any kind of.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Okay, it says here the flavors of dinner and dessert
- 1:22Speaker 1: together at last, apply cinnamoni. Goodness, So grab a spoon
- 1:28Speaker 1: and dig in.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Okay, smells like I never go what. Don't hate it?
- 1:36Speaker 2: Don't hate it?
- 1:38Speaker 3: Now?
- 1:38Speaker 2: How hungry are you? What's the last wait?
- 1:41Speaker 4: I ate like a thing called the honey Stinger this morning.
- 1:44Speaker 4: It was pretty good.
- 1:45Speaker 2: A honey stinger? What is that?
- 1:46Speaker 4: It's like a like a really flat energy bar. It's
- 1:50Speaker 4: really really good.
- 1:53Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:54Speaker 1: All right, So mans, what do you giving it? You
- 1:55Speaker 1: said you like it on a scale of one of
- 1:56Speaker 1: the ten. I'll give it a six out of six
- 2:01Speaker 1: out of ten.
- 2:02Speaker 5: I didn't want to gag or anything. It's not very good.
- 2:05Speaker 2: I give it a three.
- 2:06Speaker 1: So described okay, so you know people will obviously not
- 2:09Speaker 1: trying it, like just what what?
- 2:10Speaker 2: What? What? What hits you first?
- 2:12Speaker 5: At first? The macaroni and cheese, I think, and then
- 2:14Speaker 5: after you're like, oh is that cinnamon?
- 2:17Speaker 2: Yeah, its like caramel.
- 2:18Speaker 4: It feels like not as cheesy. Yeah, mac and cheese.
- 2:22Speaker 2: With a little bit of But do you get the
- 2:25Speaker 2: the apples? The apple coming through? I guess there's the
- 2:30Speaker 2: best of describing stuff. Let's go. I should have actually
- 2:32Speaker 2: went to Greg first. It tastes like something that somebody
- 2:34Speaker 2: who watches a lot of cooking shows and likes to
- 2:36Speaker 2: fancy themselves a foodie, and they throw around words like deconstructed,
- 2:41Speaker 2: and so they're watching these cooking shows and they think,
- 2:44Speaker 2: how can I make mac and cheese slightly weird? Oh,
- 2:48Speaker 2: let's put some cinnamon in, Like it's makes no sense.
- 2:50Speaker 2: It's dumb, and it's a light cinnamon undertone to it,
- 2:55Speaker 2: but it's unsettling. It's prepared in the men of style too.
- 2:58Speaker 2: No milk, only just.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Thick.
- 3:02Speaker 4: That's why I liked a little bit better. Did you
- 3:04Speaker 4: try some money or you don't have alright.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Around on the board. We're just taking the bowl.
- 3:12Speaker 4: Yeah, wow, there's a lot of it. Well yeah, because
- 3:17Speaker 4: I think he thought we were going to have plates.
- 3:20Speaker 5: Yeah, no, I don't need a plate worth them.
- 3:22Speaker 2: There's no reason for this to.
- 3:24Speaker 5: They dialed back the cheese and the apples so much
- 3:27Speaker 5: you're not totally sure what you're tasting.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it's almost a minute. I don't hate it.
- 3:31Speaker 5: Yeah it's fine, I guess.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Yeah, but more than a bite? What would you think
- 3:37Speaker 2: I hold? Just go for another bike? Yeah, four bites,
- 3:40Speaker 2: I can see.
- 3:41Speaker 1: I don't know if I need four m you know
- 3:45Speaker 1: what I kind of get from it. It almost gets
- 3:47Speaker 1: like a like a cobbler kind of vibe. Yeah, because
- 3:51Speaker 1: you know how everything is kind of like broken up
- 3:53Speaker 1: and yeah, like mushed.
- 3:54Speaker 2: It's definitely not overdone. It's just the macaroni serves the
- 3:58Speaker 2: purpose of like.
- 3:58Speaker 5: The crust, right, But how many bites until you're like no,
- 4:02Speaker 5: like two is okay?
- 4:04Speaker 4: One more?
- 4:06Speaker 3: All right?
- 4:06Speaker 2: Just f r I again. This is the craft third bite.
- 4:09Speaker 4: Okay, this is a Kraft mac and cheese apple pie
- 4:12Speaker 4: with other natural flavor whatever that means. Okay, no artificial flavors,
- 4:18Speaker 4: perverts it is, yeah, pervertatives, pervertatives or dies.
- 4:23Speaker 2: It didn't.
- 4:24Speaker 4: It's like organic.
- 4:25Speaker 2: But don't you think there's no need for this to exist? No, no,
- 4:30Speaker 2: it's not. It's unnecessary.
- 4:31Speaker 1: It's fun interesting, it's not. It's not any different really
- 4:35Speaker 1: than the regular mac and cheese. It's not enough of
- 4:38Speaker 1: a difference in taste.
- 4:39Speaker 6: No.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a subtle like you said, there's a subtle
- 4:42Speaker 1: cinnamon to it, subtle kind of to apple.
- 4:45Speaker 2: But that's it. That's it, all right, I'll give that.
- 4:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna give it a four out of ten because
- 4:52Speaker 1: it's five five out of ten to me, says like
- 4:54Speaker 1: I could take it or leave it.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Like I'm with you, Greg, there's no reason.
- 4:56Speaker 4: For what if this was like at of things Giving,
- 5:00Speaker 4: I would Thanksgiving, I.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Would leave, I would really see I'm angry at I'm
- 5:08Speaker 2: giving it a too if you're gonna have mac and cheese.
- 5:10Speaker 1: This is not the one that happened, although so our
- 5:13Speaker 1: friend rich de muro Are Tech correspondent rich on Tech,
- 5:16Speaker 1: he does this thing every year with his friends where
- 5:19Speaker 1: it's like a pumpkin dinner, and so everything that's served
- 5:22Speaker 1: there in some way, shape or form involves pumpkin.
- 5:25Speaker 5: It's like Penny with a pumpkin sauce and everything like.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Some and some of it looked pretty good. He The
- 5:32Speaker 1: thing I guess he was most excited about was the
- 5:34Speaker 1: pumpkin cake.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, the host, Christy, who owed nothing.
- 5:38Speaker 5: Good friend of mine.
- 5:39Speaker 2: She is an.
- 5:40Speaker 5: Incredible baker, so cakes and cookies are her things.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Did you go?
- 5:48Speaker 5: It's three couples and they've been doing this since long
- 5:50Speaker 5: before I met them.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Would have showed Taste Drive Thanksgiving Edition chef c Bass.
- 5:54Speaker 2: What is next?
- 5:54Speaker 3: All right?
- 5:55Speaker 6: The next thing we talked about also in Food News.
- 5:57Speaker 6: It is the cup noodles, not cup of noodles ronen
- 6:01Speaker 6: addition for Turkey Dinner flavor and pumpkin pie flavor.
- 6:07Speaker 1: I have the Turkey Dinner one. The Turkey dinner one
- 6:09Speaker 1: doesn't smell terrible.
- 6:11Speaker 2: And it makes almost a milky liquid. Yeah.
- 6:14Speaker 4: So I've been to the cup Noodle Museum in Yokohama, Japan.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Museum museum. It's huge.
- 6:21Speaker 4: It's like and you know what's really cool about it
- 6:25Speaker 4: is actually they have their like food court. Is like
- 6:28Speaker 4: it makes they make it look like a little village
- 6:30Speaker 4: and you can try noodles from around the world. So
- 6:32Speaker 4: when I was there, I hated all the sweet stuff.
- 6:36Speaker 4: Which one are you trying first? Okay, so that one
- 6:41Speaker 4: probably is good, but the sweet one I'm afraid of.
- 6:44Speaker 2: The Turkey dinner I'm impressed. First of all, visually they
- 6:48Speaker 2: don't skimp on green onion and the peas and all that.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Normally there's about three peas per container. Yeah, like a
- 6:56Speaker 2: lot of ingredients. Yeah, what is.
- 7:00Speaker 5: Salty as it's usually are, which is crazy because it
- 7:03Speaker 5: has over eleven hundreds of milligrams of sodium.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Read. I will give you this one. I go to
- 7:09Speaker 1: five out of ten, I know it's kind of a
- 7:10Speaker 1: cop out. But this goes back to what I was saying.
- 7:13Speaker 1: This doesn't fall in the category of like why does it?
- 7:17Speaker 2: Why does it exist? Because the same way they make
- 7:19Speaker 2: like a chicken or a bee for a shrimp flavor ramen, Like, okay,
- 7:23Speaker 2: it's a turkey flavored ramen, right, you know, eat this
- 7:26Speaker 2: in a pinch, in a pinch, I would eat it,
- 7:28Speaker 2: all right, exactly right. It is odd that it is
- 7:31Speaker 2: not at all salty. It actually needs more, maybe needs
- 7:34Speaker 2: a little bit. So what do you what are you
- 7:35Speaker 2: giving it? Greg? I'm gonna go seven seven. It's generous
- 7:40Speaker 2: with the ingredients, all right, Ginare I give it a five?
- 7:44Speaker 2: A five? Menace?
- 7:45Speaker 4: I'm five as well. It's just not salty enough for
- 7:48Speaker 4: me because I'm expecting it to be like super salty.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Which I mean, I don't have any. You don't have
- 7:55Speaker 2: the turkey.
- 7:55Speaker 3: I didn't.
- 7:56Speaker 2: I didn't know. I was hated ones that turned out
- 7:58Speaker 2: to not ever be open. So there's no water place him,
- 8:01Speaker 2: apparently we're not here.
- 8:03Speaker 1: You can share, all right, And then you have the
- 8:06Speaker 1: pumpkin one there. Yeah, what I'm afraid of are you trying?
- 8:09Speaker 1: Is that what you have right now?
- 8:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I.
- 8:13Speaker 4: Don't hate it.
- 8:14Speaker 2: I don't hate it. Yeah, yeah, I don't like it,
- 8:18Speaker 2: but I don't hate it. I really don't want to
- 8:20Speaker 2: try this.
- 8:20Speaker 4: I love pumpkin stuff.
- 8:22Speaker 2: It smells like pot pourri. I haven't tasted it yet,
- 8:24Speaker 2: but it's not great. It's incredibly floral, like a Yankee candle. Yes,
- 8:30Speaker 2: now that that's exactly right. Now.
- 8:33Speaker 4: I feel like I'm eating popri.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, not great. About and cheese, it's just like,
- 8:39Speaker 2: oh god, that's disgusting. The mac and cheese was floral.
- 8:43Speaker 6: It was got like that, that artificial fruit flavoring.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Horrible. Yeah, all right, who would want that? Even if
- 8:53Speaker 2: you want to do something that's popular, you know, who
- 8:57Speaker 2: would want this? We've got what do to show Reviewative.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Taste Drive on a couple of different things. The apple pie,
- 9:08Speaker 1: Kraft Mac and cheese.
- 9:09Speaker 4: Sammy's been tortured right now.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Mixed review.
- 9:12Speaker 1: And now now we had both the pumpkin and then
- 9:14Speaker 1: the turkey dinner cup noodles. We tried that and now
- 9:19Speaker 1: we have we have one more thing, one more thing
- 9:21Speaker 1: to try, and we'll do that next.
- 9:26Speaker 2: All right, welcome back, some good, some bad.
- 9:29Speaker 1: What Show Taste Drive here with the Thanksgiving edition of
- 9:33Speaker 1: The wood Show Taste Drive.
- 9:34Speaker 2: You're just tuning in. We tried a few different things.
- 9:36Speaker 1: We finally tried the Kraft Mac and Cheese apple pie flavor.
- 9:42Speaker 1: It's been sitting here in the studio on the Woodie
- 9:44Speaker 1: Show feeding table, not prepared. It was in the box
- 9:46Speaker 1: ready to be prepared. But the chef c Bass prepared
- 9:49Speaker 1: that for us this morning. We tried it medicine. I yeah,
- 9:53Speaker 1: not not that, not that we hated it. Not the
- 9:55Speaker 1: greatest thing we've ever had, but it was. And then
- 10:00Speaker 1: we got the cup noodle, the turkey, the Thanksgiving dinner
- 10:04Speaker 1: one that's not bad. Bad's that pumpkin one is awful though, yeah,
- 10:10Speaker 1: not great. And we thought we were done, but oh no,
- 10:14Speaker 1: Sea Bass, like Steve Jobs, came out of nowhere with
- 10:17Speaker 1: the one more thing.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Uh huh, yeah, what do you got here? Sea Bass?
- 10:21Speaker 6: This just happened and I just hopped upon this, I
- 10:23Speaker 6: should say, uh, I found Thanksgiving in a bag? Sounds
- 10:28Speaker 6: like an army rash this you know, well, this thing
- 10:29Speaker 6: is it's designed to be cooked all in one bag.
- 10:32Speaker 2: It's like a two and a half pound This.
- 10:34Speaker 6: Is your speed, but you do like low effort and
- 10:38Speaker 6: so it's turkey tender loins. They throw in gravy like
- 10:41Speaker 6: like a sort of a stuffing style, a stuffing style
- 10:47Speaker 6: like breadcrumb coating cranberries, and you defrost it and so
- 10:50Speaker 6: the whole thing in the oven.
- 10:53Speaker 2: That is a really good idea. Okay, it doesn't that
- 10:55Speaker 2: doesn't sound terrible.
- 10:56Speaker 5: And you said bag it's not canned because those are
- 10:59Speaker 5: freaky all right?
- 11:00Speaker 2: Oh god, oh that looks pretty good. Now. I found
- 11:03Speaker 2: this at our friend Wildfork Foods. They have they have location.
- 11:10Speaker 6: Locations in Pennsylvania, Jersey, Texas, California, and the ship nationwide.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Actually that's really good.
- 11:18Speaker 6: Yeah, but yeah, so it yes, turkey tenderloins. It takes
- 11:22Speaker 6: like once you defrosted, it takes like forty five minutes
- 11:25Speaker 6: and a four hundred degree oven it yeah.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Oh yeah, well because it's just a tender one. Yeah,
- 11:29Speaker 2: just the entire bird.
- 11:30Speaker 4: Dude, I've been begging Greg to go to Wildfork Foods forever.
- 11:35Speaker 4: You would agree, would he?
- 11:36Speaker 2: It looks good, that plays good.
- 11:37Speaker 4: It's awesome.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Yep, all right here, I think Greg, I think you're
- 11:40Speaker 1: the the flavor. The flavor combo is really good. I
- 11:45Speaker 1: don't know, because it's like it cooked all together visically
- 11:48Speaker 1: visual looks.
- 11:50Speaker 2: I would say.
- 11:50Speaker 6: When I cut into the tender lines, I was like,
- 11:51Speaker 6: oh man, that's moisten juice. Yeah, it's almost a soup.
- 11:55Speaker 6: It's almost a sou beet.
- 11:56Speaker 1: I can't wait for Greg to try and oh, here
- 11:58Speaker 1: we go. Like the flavor is really good. It's not
- 12:02Speaker 1: dry at all, because a lot of times you get
- 12:04Speaker 1: like a big chunk of turkey and there's a lot
- 12:06Speaker 1: of bland unless you have something else on the bite
- 12:09Speaker 1: with the turkey.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Right, and I got some sort of stuffing that had
- 12:13Speaker 2: the babe by doing it in the oven gave it
- 12:15Speaker 2: a nice little bit of a crust on top of
- 12:18Speaker 2: a little bit because when the gravy really moistens it
- 12:20Speaker 2: have you done the flavor only only done this once? Is? Yeah?
- 12:23Speaker 6: You took it in again literally in the bag and
- 12:25Speaker 6: then you could you could slice that open. You could
- 12:27Speaker 6: reduce the gravy a little bit if you wanted to
- 12:29Speaker 6: to make it, you know, more excellent.
- 12:32Speaker 2: And I'm getting cranberry in there. Yeah, this is really
- 12:35Speaker 2: really good.
- 12:36Speaker 4: I'm glad I got that to cleanse my palate from
- 12:38Speaker 4: the pumpkin stuff.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Right, this is this is like a nine. I would
- 12:41Speaker 2: serve that at a dinner party.
- 12:43Speaker 6: You know what is the best and most surprising in
- 12:46Speaker 6: a good way the stuffing. It is a complex flavor,
- 12:49Speaker 6: a lot of herbs.
- 12:51Speaker 2: They charge for that question. It was like it was
- 12:55Speaker 2: like twenty something bucks for the whole thing.
- 12:57Speaker 6: That's usually sort like this is be grow up for
- 13:01Speaker 6: our friends getting sort of thing.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Yeah that's great, Hey guys, I got one more thing.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Dude, He's even better than Steve Jobs.
- 13:10Speaker 6: It's just the costco pumping pie. By the way, forget inflation.
- 13:17Speaker 6: Three plus pound pie for six dollars.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Yeah, menace. Yeah, this will definitely get that pumpkin of
- 13:25Speaker 2: your mouth a size. There's two versions.
- 13:29Speaker 4: This is the o G version, but there's another one.
- 13:31Speaker 4: I don't know if you saw that as a bunch
- 13:33Speaker 4: of like icing on top of it.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Everybody be quiet so we can hear what SeaBASS is
- 13:39Speaker 1: about to do. Here, give it, Give it to me
- 13:41Speaker 1: extra creamy with Yeah, give it to me, and you
- 13:43Speaker 1: know how.
- 13:44Speaker 7: Like oh.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Some more dog that that's serving of which cream.
- 13:52Speaker 2: That's a nice start. Yeah, on ten to one. There
- 13:58Speaker 2: you go. There's a there's the Woody Show food drive.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Anybody thank you?
- 14:04Speaker 1: I gave him a good time because I was starving, brilliant.
- 14:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna take a quick break while I eat this pie.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Get some more show coming up for you next.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Okay, so it's it's all wrapped up the latest season
- 14:23Speaker 1: of Golden Bachelor. Don't remind me, but we always have
- 14:30Speaker 1: the way superior version, whether it's a Golden Bachelor's or bachelorettes.
- 14:34Speaker 1: What do you show a Golden bachelorette? Yeah, Sea Bass,
- 14:38Speaker 1: I mean he's uh, he is supporting these uh these
- 14:41Speaker 1: these older ladies who are on there advertising their wares
- 14:48Speaker 1: and uh well they're underwears have that vibrating feature.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Sometimes it's it's connected to some type of device. Maybe
- 14:56Speaker 2: they're not even maybe they're not even wearing panties.
- 14:58Speaker 1: But yeah, and then so when Seed Bass tips give
- 15:02Speaker 1: them money on it was a guilfs dot com or
- 15:04Speaker 1: whatever guilt dot com is one, Yeah, guilt dot Com.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Or one of these other old lady you know, camgirl.
- 15:09Speaker 4: Sites and you have put on your favorites.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Yeah, you just care good like Mario hitting one of
- 15:14Speaker 2: the money breaks.
- 15:15Speaker 6: And it's the grossest thing I'm seeing there this week
- 15:17Speaker 6: with Vaughn and we at least I was wretching.
- 15:20Speaker 3: I know.
- 15:20Speaker 4: Vaughn was like, yeah, oh no, I looked over to this.
- 15:22Speaker 2: It's been a while for Vaughn, I think, so he
- 15:24Speaker 2: might have enjoyed it.
- 15:24Speaker 4: I caught a glimpse.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Not good, it's it's it's it's.
- 15:27Speaker 6: Unfortunate being said with the Golden Bachelorette. So I get
- 15:31Speaker 6: I'm talking to these older fifty and then some plus ladies.
- 15:35Speaker 2: What they have is they have a lot of wisdom.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Oh and so this time I didn't.
- 15:39Speaker 6: Pose as a Sea Bass or Sebastian. I pose as
- 15:42Speaker 6: a guy who has some questions about a dilemma in
- 15:44Speaker 6: his life.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Greig Gory, Yeah, yeah.
- 15:47Speaker 6: He brought this dilemma to us about, you know, if
- 15:49Speaker 6: he should if he should go see his parents for
- 15:51Speaker 6: Christmas or instead get liposuction.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Their input then, yeah, so instead of just being like creepy,
- 15:57Speaker 1: how a lot of guys.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Are the sage.
- 16:00Speaker 1: And uh and so uh you know Sea Bass is
- 16:02Speaker 1: typing and so that's where you hear the uh here
- 16:05Speaker 1: the text speech long.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Yeah kind of thing.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Yeah about are you still in your your your dry spell?
- 16:12Speaker 1: It's been a minute he was talking about it here recently.
