What Does Budget 2027 Mean For Health, Retail And Older People?
Budget 2027 has brought a major increase in Government spending, with €29.1 billion allocated to health, alongside measures affecting businesses, workers and older people. But the reaction has been mixed, with concerns about hospital capacity and staffing, rising costs for retailers, and whether supports for older people go far enough. Thursday's Morning Focus looked at the impact of the Budget from three different perspectives. Joining Alan Morrissey were Rita McInerney, Jean McCabe of Retail Excellence Ireland, and Mike Cusack of Clare Older People’s Council. Photo (c) Oireachtas.ie
