- 0:02Speaker 1: Happy Monday, exactly exactly Crafts is dancing.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Did you do any of this? Did you do?
- 0:10Speaker 3: I saw that I did no dancing.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Now play.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Here's the difference. Ozzie didn't play in the game. Ozzie
- 0:18Speaker 3: just had to dance because Ozzie didn't play. Just stood there.
- 0:20Speaker 3: I don't even know Ozzi even Hold on, I don't
- 0:22Speaker 3: want to get shocked to death.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Also, let's tell everyone what we're talking about.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I got to play for the Savannah Bananas on
- 0:29Speaker 3: Friday night. And by the way, hold on, this is
- 0:31Speaker 3: a disaster. But okay, we're almost there. Hold on, people,
- 0:37Speaker 3: I can't My mic is all caught under my chair.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Now, hold on rewiring, rewire.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Okay, we're live television. This is what happens.
- 0:42Speaker 2: There we go.
- 0:43Speaker 3: But so I got to play for the Savannah Bananas
- 0:46Speaker 3: on Friday. And if you haven't been to a Banana
- 0:48Speaker 3: and I've never watched a game. I mean, i'd seen
- 0:50Speaker 3: the clips, but I'd never actually been there and seen
- 0:53Speaker 3: what they do. It's incredible. They get there. Those guys
- 0:57Speaker 3: get there like nine thirty in the morning and they're
- 0:59Speaker 3: there all day.
- 1:00Speaker 2: It's the show.
- 1:01Speaker 3: It is not, but I'll say this, it is a
- 1:03Speaker 3: show and people say it's a Harlem Globetrotters. It's a
- 1:05Speaker 3: different show every time. Every night they do a different show.
- 1:08Speaker 3: And the baseball is good. It's not like everyone I
- 1:12Speaker 3: always thought it was like, Ah, it's these guys that
- 1:14Speaker 3: are just kind of like Beer League solid. No, these
- 1:16Speaker 3: dudes are legitimately good.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Like what, give me an example.
- 1:19Speaker 3: The guy I called it was ninety to ninety three.
- 1:22Speaker 2: I was like, what, and he knows where it's gone.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Well, he did hit a guy in the face. But
- 1:26Speaker 3: other than that, yeah he did. Oh no, yeah, he
- 1:29Speaker 3: threw it up and then it hit his hand and
- 1:30Speaker 3: hit the guy in the face. He was So he's
- 1:32Speaker 3: laying there. I'm catching and he's laying there and I'm like,
- 1:35Speaker 3: are you okay? Like, please tell me that didn't I
- 1:37Speaker 3: thought it hit him in the hand because it looked
- 1:39Speaker 3: like he hit his hand, but I guess. So then
- 1:42Speaker 3: they all rush over. They picked him up, and he's
- 1:44Speaker 3: like covering his face and I'm like, oh no.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Oh, and that was real.
- 1:47Speaker 3: That was real.
- 1:48Speaker 2: That's not fake, yo. There's no act, no dance, No,
- 1:52Speaker 2: there's no dancing. Man. I hope he's okay.
- 1:54Speaker 3: He was you think he had a couple of stitches
- 1:56Speaker 3: in his forehead or something, but I think he was okay.
- 1:59Speaker 3: But yeah, so it was. It's legitimate. So you can
- 2:03Speaker 3: say whatever you want about the show. And the show
- 2:05Speaker 3: is incredible, the dancing and all the stuff they do. Yeah,
- 2:08Speaker 3: but I'll say this, the baseball is real. The show
- 2:11Speaker 3: is different every time. And Jesse, the Yellow Tucks guy,
- 2:14Speaker 3: showed me their list of ideas and he has this
- 2:16Speaker 3: notebook of like, and they do it according to the
- 2:19Speaker 3: city they're and so if they're in Chicago, they do
- 2:20Speaker 3: something different. They had Chance the rapper there when I
- 2:22Speaker 3: was there. He came out and did like. They called
- 2:24Speaker 3: it a halftime show because the game is time, so
- 2:26Speaker 3: you have two hours to play nine innings, no matter what,
- 2:29Speaker 3: no matter what. And then they do They don't do runs.
- 2:31Speaker 3: They do points, so whoever gets the most runs gets
- 2:33Speaker 3: a point. So it's not like ten to nothing. It
- 2:37Speaker 3: could be it would be like two to nothing or
- 2:38Speaker 3: three to nothing. Okay, So and I think home runs
- 2:41Speaker 3: count as extra points. I don't know. I didn't get
- 2:43Speaker 3: all the rules because I was just panicked about my
- 2:45Speaker 3: rules because krats I had to catch. Okay, I haven't
- 2:48Speaker 3: caught a ball I haven't caught since twenty sixteen, like
- 2:50Speaker 3: a live fire game. And if I missed one, they
- 2:54Speaker 3: could go to first. So if the ball got by
- 2:56Speaker 3: me as a catcher, they could And I was like,
- 2:58Speaker 3: I was getting ready to getting my gear on in
- 3:00Speaker 3: the inning before that, the guy missed one and he
- 3:02Speaker 3: went to first, and I was like, wait, what, that's
- 3:04Speaker 3: a real thing, Like if I if the catcher missus it,
- 3:06Speaker 3: they can run to first with like baul one.
- 3:09Speaker 2: That's how Sean Casey got hurt right now.
- 3:10Speaker 1: He got hurt on a walk because if you walk.
- 3:14Speaker 3: So I told the pitcher I caught this guy. He
- 3:16Speaker 3: was great. He was from he had pitched it. Uh
- 3:20Speaker 3: Andy Archer was his name. He pitched at Georgia Tech.
- 3:22Speaker 3: So he was like legit, yeah, And the manager says
- 3:24Speaker 3: ninety to ninety three cutter split, and I was like,
- 3:29Speaker 3: he's throwing all fastballs because I ain't. One I ain't
- 3:31Speaker 3: catching no cutter, and two I ain't blocking those split.
- 3:34Speaker 3: So he came up to me and Andy said, night.
- 3:39Speaker 3: He goes fastball cutter split, and I go fastball, fastball
- 3:44Speaker 3: and fastball. That's all I'm calling. He started, He goes,
- 3:47Speaker 3: I get it I ain't blocking no split and I go,
- 3:49Speaker 3: I ain't calling no cutter and he just started laughing.
- 3:52Speaker 3: So my I literally my signs were like this, did.
- 3:55Speaker 2: You catch the whole game?
- 3:56Speaker 3: I caught one inning, you got one in Okay. It
- 3:58Speaker 3: was the first time they said they'd ever had anyone.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Cat Oh for a cameo for because I hit and
- 4:04Speaker 2: then I caught.
- 4:05Speaker 3: So the whole thing when I hit was they had
- 4:08Speaker 3: a sight arm writing when the inning before and I
- 4:10Speaker 3: was like, oh, I was like here we go, thank you.
- 4:13Speaker 3: And then I go up to hit and they're.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Like lefty and I'm like wait no, Like brit that's.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Why if you watch the video, I'm like I'm going
- 4:19Speaker 3: like this, I'm like bringing the other bringing the other guy.
- 4:22Speaker 3: But I mean he laid a couple in first pitch
- 4:24Speaker 3: he threw me, I mean barreled. It just fouled the ball.
- 4:29Speaker 3: Everyone's like, why didn't you run? And I was like,
- 4:31Speaker 3: because I didn't want to go.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Sean Casey right right, that's smart.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Even like Konerko, who did it the next night, was like,
- 4:35Speaker 3: you really busted your tail down the line.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Pop.
- 4:37Speaker 3: I'm like, okay, when you do it tomorrow, let me
- 4:40Speaker 3: know how fast, you run down the line. I don't
- 4:41Speaker 3: want to yank something. I was scared to death crafts
- 4:45Speaker 3: catching though. Scared.
- 4:47Speaker 4: So you didn't run out. I didn't see her at bad.
- 4:49Speaker 4: You didn't run it out.
- 4:50Speaker 3: No, I ran it out. I just didn't go full speed.
- 4:52Speaker 3: I was kind of you know, hey, I get to
- 4:55Speaker 3: do all the trick plays and all that stuff.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Chicago Cubs fans were Kyle Tucker for not running out.
- 5:01Speaker 4: I'm just saying a J. Prazinski Kyle Tucker right now
- 5:05Speaker 4: in Chicago, forty eight, twenty eight, forty eight, twenty eight. Okay,
- 5:11Speaker 4: So yeah, it's just one of those.
- 5:13Speaker 3: It was just one of those. It was awesome, though,
- 5:15Speaker 3: I listen, the best part about the whole thing was
- 5:18Speaker 3: Mark Burley was there the day I was there, and
- 5:20Speaker 3: I got to catch Mark for one last time. It
- 5:22Speaker 3: was the that was the coolest part, Like having Mark
- 5:24Speaker 3: Burley there as a teammate, as a friend, and him
- 5:28Speaker 3: pitching went out. He ge hit a laser off Mark.
- 5:31Speaker 3: So Mark comes out there and he had warmed up
- 5:33Speaker 3: in the bullpit or in the cage, and he comes
- 5:35Speaker 3: out there and two outs and there's a runner out first,
- 5:37Speaker 3: and the first guy comes up there and he's just
- 5:39Speaker 3: he's this monster guy right hand to hit her, and
- 5:41Speaker 3: I much like like sinker sinker. And the first one
- 5:45Speaker 3: was like way off the plane, and the second one
- 5:46Speaker 3: was kind of close, and the dude swung at it
- 5:48Speaker 3: like it was like it was twenty miles an hour.
- 5:51Speaker 3: And I looked at him and I go, yep, that's
- 5:53Speaker 3: how hard he threw when he pitched in the big
- 5:54Speaker 3: leagues too.
- 5:55Speaker 4: Wow.
- 5:56Speaker 3: And then the next one he threw, he hit a
- 5:58Speaker 3: piss missile right field, like I mean, I don't know
- 6:00Speaker 3: what it was off he was like one unre and
- 6:02Speaker 3: twenty one opera of the right fielder, and I was like,
- 6:04Speaker 3: oh boy, we might not get out of sitting. The
- 6:06Speaker 3: next guy hit a grown ball and got us out
- 6:07Speaker 3: there you go. But I was just like, but then
- 6:10Speaker 3: it was cool because you know, it was awesome because
- 6:12Speaker 3: he was there and we got to kind of hug
- 6:13Speaker 3: and do it all. But it was grats if you
- 6:16Speaker 3: ever get a chance to go or be a part
- 6:18Speaker 3: of it, it's one of the craziest things.
- 6:19Speaker 2: It was.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Ft fam.
- 6:23Speaker 4: When you're playing games, you kind of have some stress anxiety.

- 7:19Speaker 1: You deserve quality care from someone who cares.
- 7:22Speaker 4: I'd love to. I'd love to. I think it's great
- 7:24Speaker 4: entertainment and I think just watching it on TV, and
- 7:29Speaker 4: I've heard I don't have any I don't have enough
- 7:31Speaker 4: street credit to play somewhere. So if I go and
- 7:34Speaker 4: I catch, I'm definitely catching more than one. I'm way
- 7:37Speaker 4: younger than you are last time. Last year it was
- 7:40Speaker 4: five innings. I mean, I could have caught more, but
- 7:44Speaker 4: I didn't want to. And also I was I had
- 7:46Speaker 4: to use their gear, so it was like way too
- 7:48Speaker 4: small for me.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Everyone's like, why'd you have the kids gear? And I
- 7:51Speaker 3: was like, that's the only gear they had. They gave
- 7:53Speaker 3: me in the mask. You know, normally a mask like
- 7:56Speaker 3: you adjusted. There was no adjusting it. It was like
- 7:58Speaker 3: hanging down here. So the whole time was like one
- 8:00Speaker 3: to hold my mask up so I could see. Good.
- 8:02Speaker 2: They have to get you guys better gear next time.
- 8:05Speaker 3: That I mean, I was the first one to catch.
- 8:06Speaker 3: They don't expect people to.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Catch now they know.
- 8:08Speaker 1: They're like, hey, we gotta fit our catchers the gear
- 8:11Speaker 1: when we have craft Philly top notch.
- 8:13Speaker 3: The the way they treated my family, the way they
- 8:15Speaker 3: treated Burley's family, it was the only thing I didn't have.
- 8:18Speaker 3: I didn't have a cup, so I didn't get a cup.
- 8:20Speaker 3: That was the one biggest thing I.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Was rebotting, Like I needed just worry about like a
- 8:23Speaker 1: bad splitter and the guy bounced one.
- 8:26Speaker 3: It's really a splitter, by the way he called cutter
- 8:29Speaker 3: like this. I'm like, what is that? Not like this
- 8:33Speaker 3: or not like this like most pictures go like this,
- 8:36Speaker 3: they go like this, like a little slider. He went
- 8:38Speaker 3: that backwards glove like that, and I was like, to.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Me, that would be sweeper, Like we're really moving.
- 8:44Speaker 3: I don't know that. Whatever, it was great. It was great.
- 8:47Speaker 3: It was and you know what was great is not
- 8:49Speaker 3: only was the everyone knows the Banana guys, but the
- 8:51Speaker 3: Firefighter guys. It was the team they played against that
- 8:54Speaker 3: was incredible. I mean just those guys. I mean those
- 8:58Speaker 3: guys were pumped. But they could play in front of
- 8:59Speaker 3: forty thousand people in a big league stadium every time,
- 9:03Speaker 3: but crowds if you got you know where that you
- 9:04Speaker 3: could get a shot. They do minor league games too,
- 9:06Speaker 3: so if they went to like Scranton or Redding or
- 9:09Speaker 3: of the places you played, you could do one of
- 9:11Speaker 3: those lehigh call me there you go. Do people get
- 9:22Speaker 3: there like one o'clock in the afternoon for the seven
- 9:24Speaker 3: o'clock game The.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Fans yes, in that early.
- 9:28Speaker 3: No, they let you in at like four point thirty.
- 9:30Speaker 3: But the ship. But they start doing stuff outside at
- 9:32Speaker 3: like two o'clock.
- 9:33Speaker 2: The bananas do, yes, like a fan fest.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Kind of thing. Yes, every day and every game.
- 9:39Speaker 2: That's cool, dude.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Listen, I mean listen. The baseball is not obviously the
- 9:42Speaker 3: baseball that we want to play on a major league level,
- 9:45Speaker 3: but I believe Major League Baseball could learn some stuff
- 9:48Speaker 3: from what they do, marketing wise, social media wise, trending wise,
- 9:53Speaker 3: that kind of stuff. They definitely could learn something from
- 9:56Speaker 3: what they do. I don't know they won't partner together.
- 9:58Speaker 3: I don't know why.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Wow, it's probably I mean, it's always about Kashish. But
- 10:04Speaker 1: Brittany Droli wrote an article about this. I actually haven't
- 10:07Speaker 1: caught yet, but I think we might have her on
- 10:09Speaker 1: soon or she's gonna fill in for me maybe later
- 10:10Speaker 1: this week and she can talk about it. She wrote
- 10:12Speaker 1: an article I think about how MLB can take a
- 10:15Speaker 1: page or two from what the Bananas doing.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Now.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Obviously, the Bananas are going to one city and sell
- 10:20Speaker 1: it out. MLB is selling eighty one games.
- 10:23Speaker 3: A year span, different to the league. So they have
- 10:26Speaker 3: four teams now, They're going to six teams next year.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Wow. To hit more parks to.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Be able to hit more. They and they're gonna play
- 10:32Speaker 3: and then they're gonna have like a playoffs. Okay, so
- 10:36Speaker 3: they're kind of getting more. But these games are compet
- 10:40Speaker 3: like they want to win, like it's not it's not
- 10:42Speaker 3: like where they're just letting the bananas win. Like the
- 10:44Speaker 3: Firefighters beat them the game before I played. We won
- 10:48Speaker 3: like three to two or something four to two, but
- 10:51Speaker 3: the Firefighters beat them the game before, and they were like,
- 10:54Speaker 3: they want to win. It's not like we just laid
- 10:56Speaker 3: down for you. Because the guys are also the players
- 10:59Speaker 3: are also on like contracts, so if they suck, they
- 11:03Speaker 3: don't get brought back, they get released and they try
- 11:06Speaker 3: to find the next guy to come in.
- 11:07Speaker 1: And if you do like the flip catch, which I
- 11:08Speaker 1: think I saw one in that game, you get something
- 11:11Speaker 1: for that.
- 11:11Speaker 3: You get a trick play. And it's all about one point.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Their their big thing is their social media stuff. So
- 11:18Speaker 3: the like coach Rack is the most famous. He's the
- 11:20Speaker 3: guy wh did the backflipt member and hit his face
- 11:22Speaker 3: on the TV. But like Coach Track and then Olsen,
- 11:26Speaker 3: gosh dang it, he used to be the food guy
- 11:28Speaker 3: on TikTok for MLB Now he plays for the Bananas.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Last name's Olsen. I forget. I forgot was less he's
- 11:33Speaker 3: I met him when he was just the food guy. Yeah,
- 11:35Speaker 3: but they get these guys want social media following because
- 11:39Speaker 3: not only do they get paid by the Bananas or
- 11:41Speaker 3: the firefighters, but then they get huge kick ins from
- 11:44Speaker 3: their social media. So the more social media following they have,
- 11:47Speaker 3: the more they get paid by TikTok and Instagram and
- 11:50Speaker 3: twit as influencers influencers, right, So that's like, that's why
- 11:54Speaker 3: they do all this stuff. And they're great. I mean
- 11:55Speaker 3: they're great, and they'll go up in the fans. One
- 11:57Speaker 3: guy caught a guy's foul ball and they run up
- 11:59Speaker 3: in the state. That was the big thing. My first swing,
- 12:02Speaker 3: I fouled it off and I'm like, don't catch it,
- 12:04Speaker 3: and they because if they catch it, you're out. Any
- 12:06Speaker 3: fan can any fan, if they catch it clean, you're out.
- 12:08Speaker 3: They bobbled it, so I was they were like there
- 12:11Speaker 3: was one where they didn't know not homers for homers,
- 12:14Speaker 3: but there was one where the fans were.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Like, uh, they said they caught it, yeah, and they.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Like went to replay. They had to show that he
- 12:22Speaker 3: didn't catch it clean. Wow. Oh yeah, that's crazy. That's
- 12:25Speaker 3: fun though it's it's a good way to do it.
- 12:26Speaker 2: It sounds like a good time.
- 12:28Speaker 1: But you didn't participate in any dancing because Ozzie agan, well, because.
- 12:32Speaker 3: They wanted me to be a surprise right when I
- 12:34Speaker 3: came up to hit.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Oh and when was the dancing early?
- 12:37Speaker 3: They do dancing kind of all over the place, like
- 12:39Speaker 3: in the halftime when chance came out, and they do
- 12:41Speaker 3: it kind of before and after the game.
- 12:42Speaker 2: What was the one that went viral because Ozzie was
- 12:45Speaker 2: in the back.
- 12:46Speaker 3: That was probably before because they had a long rain
- 12:49Speaker 3: delay too, Saturdays, they couldn't so I didn't have that.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Friday was clean days and day in a row. Saturday
- 12:56Speaker 3: was like two hours delay. So they're supposed start seven,
- 12:58Speaker 3: they started like nine o'clock.
- 12:59Speaker 2: They're cleaning up.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Thank you Jesus. I didn't have that one, damn. And
- 13:03Speaker 3: I think my game was on ESPN or ESPN two
- 13:06Speaker 3: supposed to the Saturday. I think it was just on YouTube.
- 13:08Speaker 4: So they like baseball.
- 13:10Speaker 3: ESPN likes baseball.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Well, they like banana bay. That's a different sport banana.
- 13:16Speaker 3: But but they but but Ozzie did like to dance,
- 13:19Speaker 3: because again Ozzie wasn't he didn't play. He didn't play,
- 13:21Speaker 3: he had him was he just gonna walk around? So
- 13:24Speaker 3: they he did like a thing with the whole team.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Yeah, he should have managed. He didn't manage.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Cool manager was in cowboy boots.
- 13:31Speaker 1: He was pretty How does Ozzie not manage and like
- 13:34Speaker 1: start stuff, you know, get ejected or something.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Umpire was the dancing umpire.
- 13:40Speaker 2: But the way that wasn't in the playbook.
- 13:41Speaker 1: I would have been like, ass, he's managing, he gets
- 13:45Speaker 1: introduced guest manager, and he gets tossed in like an
- 13:47Speaker 1: inning so he can go drink and hang out.
- 13:50Speaker 3: I could have done have the dugout too true?
- 13:52Speaker 2: True? All right, well that's cool.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Uh anyway, I just wanted to spend some time on that.
- 13:56Speaker 1: It's a fun experience. We will get to a lot today. Obviously,
- 14:00Speaker 1: Dodger's sweeping the Padres, Zach Wheeler's injury. We're gonna have
- 14:04Speaker 1: Will Carol on to dissect that. Rob Manford's realignment comments
- 14:08Speaker 1: as if it's breaking news, but it's really something we've note.
- 14:11Speaker 2: About for like a decade. But anyway, we'll also the
- 14:13Speaker 2: Brewers finally lost Brewers finally lost.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Those are all which I can't believe because they had
- 14:17Speaker 3: a lead in the ninth was a Consuris at the
- 14:19Speaker 3: home run to give lean. I'm like, they're gonna win again.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Wild weekend for the Brewers.
- 14:24Speaker 1: They are entertaining what's been going on late in games.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Randy Rose Arena hanging out with Team Mexico at the
- 14:31Speaker 1: Little League Classic. Mariners and Mets met up this weekend.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Mets took two out of three, But Sunday all about
- 14:37Speaker 1: the kiddos. That place holds I think twenty three hundred ish.
- 14:42Speaker 2: It's fun. There's a lot going on there. It's cool.
- 14:45Speaker 2: You know.
- 14:46Speaker 1: That experience is just as fun to follow on social
- 14:49Speaker 1: media too. There's a game, and it's cool to watch
- 14:50Speaker 1: the game experience, but it's fun to see everything going
- 14:53Speaker 1: on for the hours leading up. You know, the players
- 14:56Speaker 1: sitting in the stands watching the game, crats, You've got
- 14:58Speaker 1: players meeting with the kid it's I think one kid
- 15:01Speaker 1: yelled out to Viento's like you're gonna Homer here, and
- 15:04Speaker 1: then he did. Julio Rodriguez going down the hill and
- 15:09Speaker 1: he almost took the security guard out or she.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Fell or something. There's a lot of great clips online.
- 15:14Speaker 4: She almost took him out.
- 15:15Speaker 3: It's cool experiences.
- 15:17Speaker 2: She was on the ground. Yep, hey, j.
- 15:18Speaker 4: I'll tell you you don't ever want to do like
- 15:21Speaker 4: gimmick stuff. But I think Major League Baseball has made
- 15:25Speaker 4: this awesome and been able to give the guys some
- 15:28Speaker 4: extra travel time, and I think players want to want
- 15:31Speaker 4: to go and do this. It's not far from New York,
- 15:34Speaker 4: it's not far from Philly, so the travels decent.
- 15:37Speaker 3: I think I think it's awesome. I think they killed
- 15:39Speaker 3: it for sure.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Okay, Kratz, I opened up Arena Club, put my own
- 15:45Speaker 1: money in there, and I.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Wasn't gonna go big. I know. We went over the
- 15:49Speaker 2: Ruby pack a week ago.
- 15:50Speaker 1: This time, I just went for the low level pack,
- 15:53Speaker 1: where it's an easy entry point twenty five bucks. You
- 15:55Speaker 1: can get yourself a big Boy card. The Grail has
- 15:58Speaker 1: many good options. Slice open the pack. We're looking at it.
- 16:01Speaker 1: If you're watching us right now, and I pull a
- 16:04Speaker 1: card from the nineteen fifties, super cool. I enjoyed the
- 16:08Speaker 1: experience looking at it. It's Jim Gilliam. It's the top
- 16:11Speaker 1: set from the mid fifties. But I got an offer
- 16:14Speaker 1: for more than what the slap pack costs, and I
- 16:16Speaker 1: sold it back tough times for the Dodgers right now.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Don't at me, but I got twenty eight bucks instantly,
- 16:22Speaker 1: so I can buy another one of those packs and
- 16:24Speaker 1: try and get what I want.
- 16:26Speaker 4: Absolutely the excitement I heard Kip say before. The excitement's
- 16:30Speaker 4: in the chase. You sold it back. Now you get
- 16:32Speaker 4: to open another one. I enjoy when you slide it
- 16:35Speaker 4: across the screen there and the pack opens.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Arenaclub dot com slash foul twenty percent off your first
- 16:40Speaker 1: slab packer card purchase. Get after it.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Better than box scores psych.
- 16:52Speaker 1: We said we would catch the Padres and Dodger series,
- 16:55Speaker 1: but we're going to delay that one for a few
- 16:57Speaker 1: minutes because first we're going to start with the best
- 17:00Speaker 1: record in baseball. Fourteen games in a row for the
- 17:05Speaker 1: Milwaukee Brewers in thrilling fashion, and then they almost did
- 17:09Speaker 1: it again on Sunday, but the Reds got to him. Reds,
- 17:12Speaker 1: by the way, in the past month had the best
- 17:14Speaker 1: starting pitching era in baseball, but they played him well.
- 17:17Speaker 3: They still lost to him. Three still lost, the barely
- 17:20Speaker 3: won to one. But so here this sums up the
- 17:24Speaker 3: Brewers win streaking what they've been doing cratzy. So we're
- 17:27Speaker 3: in there talking to Aaron Boone on Saturday before his game,
- 17:29Speaker 3: and somehow the Brewers come up, because I don't know,
- 17:33Speaker 3: somehow someone asked about the Brewers. Maybe probably Rosenthal asked
- 17:36Speaker 3: about the Brewers, and Booney just said, well, yesterday they
- 17:40Speaker 3: were down eight to one in the second inning, and
- 17:42Speaker 3: I said to Brad Austin was our bench coach, don't worry,
- 17:45Speaker 3: it's really checked the score in ten minutes. And then
- 17:48Speaker 3: he said they walked outside for VP and on the
- 17:49Speaker 3: scoreboard it said eight to eight. He's like, there you go.
- 17:52Speaker 3: That sums up the Brewers. They don't go away. Can't
- 17:54Speaker 3: figure out how they're doing it, but they are a
- 17:55Speaker 3: good team. They pitched really, really well, and they found hitting,
- 18:00Speaker 3: which everyone thought was gonna be their problem. But they
- 18:01Speaker 3: have found an offense. And it's not your normal home
- 18:04Speaker 3: run offense. It's stealing, bunting, hitting and running. This is
- 18:08Speaker 3: the type of team that I envisioned Pat Murphy loving
- 18:10Speaker 3: m a bunch of just scrappy gamer dirt dogs that
- 18:14Speaker 3: he just can tell him to do whatever they want.
- 18:16Speaker 3: They do it.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a few guys. There's some guys that have
- 18:19Speaker 1: like very little pop. There's a few guys obviously chess
- 18:22Speaker 1: and pop contreras.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Andrew Vaughan, Well, andrewvon is the MVP of the since
- 18:27Speaker 3: he got.
- 18:27Speaker 1: To nine home runs in his twenty ninth game. What
- 18:30Speaker 1: was that in the comeback game?
- 18:32Speaker 2: Was Friday? Right, Friday Friday?
- 18:35Speaker 1: That was his twenty ninth game and it was his
- 18:36Speaker 1: ninth home run already with the team. And then Monasterio.
- 18:40Speaker 1: It's not like your household name to your Monasterio. Five
- 18:42Speaker 1: career homers in three seasons, career, three thirty slug and crats.
- 18:46Speaker 2: What does he do? Three run dinger in the eleventh
- 18:49Speaker 2: they win by a run.
- 18:51Speaker 3: That's it.
- 18:52Speaker 4: They've they've figured out how to score runs. That is
- 18:56Speaker 4: that is the name of the game. But in this
- 18:59Speaker 4: day and age, teams pay for and they build their
- 19:02Speaker 4: teams on hitting the dinners. They're not figuring out how
- 19:07Speaker 4: to score runs. The player I go back to, and
- 19:10Speaker 4: you know, it's kind of meaningless because it made a
- 19:12Speaker 4: game from four to one to five to one. Andrew Vaughn,
- 19:16Speaker 4: who is King Vaughan, who is killing it right now?
- 19:19Speaker 4: Put down. I would call it a squeeze. But as
- 19:23Speaker 4: your standard first and third. He needs on the bump.
- 19:26Speaker 4: So he had the right left matchup in his favor,
- 19:29Speaker 4: and he pushed a little bunt to first base. He
- 19:32Speaker 4: picked it up, tagged him out. They went up five
- 19:35Speaker 4: to one. They just figure out how to score runs,
- 19:40Speaker 4: and I'm starting to believe that you can do this
- 19:43Speaker 4: in the playoffs. I think teams are just afraid of it.
- 19:46Speaker 4: I think teams are afraid of having a team that.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Isn't built to just score runs.
- 19:51Speaker 4: They need to hit homers or you're never going to
- 19:53Speaker 4: be able to manufacture anything against the bottom. You know,
- 19:57Speaker 4: the top three in the bullpen, top three starting guys,
- 20:00Speaker 4: which is all you face in the playoffs.
- 20:02Speaker 3: What you said, Crouch is the most important thing. First of all,
- 20:04Speaker 3: I need to find his score runs. I don't care
- 20:06Speaker 3: high schol runs. If you got a bunch of guys
- 20:07Speaker 3: that can fly steel bases, hit and run. But because
- 20:10Speaker 3: you'd be surprised how many times even big league teams
- 20:13Speaker 3: mess up bunt defenses. They mess them up. Dude, watch
- 20:16Speaker 3: a college game or a high school game. If you
- 20:18Speaker 3: got a team that can bunt and run, you'll win
- 20:19Speaker 3: a lot of games. Because they teams just can't pick
- 20:22Speaker 3: the ball up and throw it the first that another
- 20:24Speaker 3: guy not the first basement covering right. So again I
- 20:27Speaker 3: mentioned I was in Saint Louis. So we had Boone
- 20:28Speaker 3: and then we had Olie Marmle on the other side.
- 20:30Speaker 3: And we're talking to him, and I've obviously known Oli
- 20:33Speaker 3: for a long time. We went to the same high school.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Everyone knows that. But the thing about Ali was is
- 20:37Speaker 3: we were talking to him about different players around the
- 20:39Speaker 3: league and he's like, the things that are incentivized are
- 20:42Speaker 3: home runs and walks, and they don't care about strikeouts.
- 20:46Speaker 3: And he said, which we all know, but he said,
- 20:48Speaker 3: it's hard to build offenses around nine guys that strike
- 20:52Speaker 3: out a lot, will walk a lot and hit home
- 20:54Speaker 3: runs because you don't have nine guys that can do
- 20:56Speaker 3: that on afficient enough level to score enough runs. You
- 20:59Speaker 3: also have to have the other guys, but they don't
- 21:01Speaker 3: get paid to do that. And then we asked him, well,
- 21:03Speaker 3: why don't you guys steal more bases and he said, well,
- 21:06Speaker 3: my thing about that is we tell guys to go
- 21:08Speaker 3: a lot of times they don't go because if they
- 21:10Speaker 3: get thrown out, it hurts them in salary. Later on,
- 21:14Speaker 3: arbitration and when they become a freezer, well you'll near
- 21:17Speaker 3: eighty nine percent safe instead of ninety two percent safe.
- 21:21Speaker 3: So they don't want to go as much, right, And
- 21:24Speaker 3: the difference is when I played, and I'm sure when
- 21:26Speaker 3: Craps play, we didn't think about this stuff. We just
- 21:28Speaker 3: wanted to play and win and just do whatever to help.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Now it's agents are in guys ears. Everyone's in their
- 21:34Speaker 3: ears saying hey, man, if if you get thrown out again,
- 21:36Speaker 3: it's going to really hurt your percentage. And that's the
- 21:39Speaker 3: difference is all the information out there is almost sometimes
- 21:42Speaker 3: a detriment to what Kratz just said is just win
- 21:45Speaker 3: the game and figure out a way to score runs
- 21:47Speaker 3: and be the best team you can be.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Yeah, And in fairness to the player, it's not their
- 21:50Speaker 1: job because they're only there to mak the team right.
- 21:53Speaker 1: And if they don't do something right and they don't
- 21:55Speaker 1: get paid or they don't make the team the next
- 21:56Speaker 1: time around, they're playing to what is set for them?
- 22:00Speaker 2: What crafts? Why are you looking confused? And we got
- 22:01Speaker 2: to go in a second.
- 22:02Speaker 4: But what I think, I think that's trash. You're part
- 22:04Speaker 4: of a team, you should try to win. I don't
- 22:06Speaker 4: care you shouldn't care about your arbitration, your numbers. You
- 22:10Speaker 4: might get a few extra RBIs, you might get a
- 22:12Speaker 4: few extra you know, two or three extra dingers. Try
- 22:16Speaker 4: to figure out how to get twenty six guys together
- 22:18Speaker 4: to win. Start doing that in the minor leagues. You
- 22:20Speaker 4: have an organization that's gonna do what they do.
- 22:23Speaker 2: They don't.
- 22:23Speaker 3: We're saying that they don't. They don't do that, that's
- 22:26Speaker 3: what we're saying. We're we agree with you, we all
- 22:28Speaker 3: agree with you. Everybody agree with what you're saying. But organizations
- 22:31Speaker 3: don't agree with that, and they don't look at it
- 22:33Speaker 3: that way. That's why we have all these guys that
- 22:35Speaker 3: are throwing one hundred, can only go five innings, blow
- 22:37Speaker 3: out their arms all the time. Instead of the older
- 22:39Speaker 3: guys that could throw ninety three ninety four give you
- 22:41Speaker 3: seven or eight innings. They're like, well, we get five,
- 22:43Speaker 3: and if the guy throws one hundred and he blows out,
- 22:45Speaker 3: we'll get the next guy.
- 22:46Speaker 2: He doesn't.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Still, they don't steal base, they don't bunt because they're
- 22:49Speaker 3: not paid for that, and the organizations don't make them
- 22:51Speaker 3: do that at a younger age. And then when they
- 22:53Speaker 3: you know it gets the big ones like figure out
- 22:55Speaker 3: how the butN the guy's like, I don't know how
- 22:57Speaker 3: to bunn it. Never butt it in my life.
- 23:00Speaker 1: So we have two West Coast or highlights from West
- 23:02Speaker 1: Coast teams. Cal Riley forty seventh home run of the
- 23:06Speaker 1: season yesterday, he had two this weekend against the Mets.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Of course, he'd tell you he wants the team to
- 23:13Speaker 1: take two out of three, not fall into out of three.
- 23:15Speaker 1: But good bounce back series for New York.
- 23:19Speaker 2: There you go.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Col's run continues, MVP, MVP, MVP crats.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, cool, we're on the same page. Next up,
- 23:32Speaker 2: did you see this catch from Jung Huli?
- 23:34Speaker 3: They said on the Catch of the Decade, but he
- 23:38Speaker 3: kind of left it to start with. He actually he's like, oh,
- 23:42Speaker 3: I'm gonna slow down, and then he misses it. I mean,
- 23:45Speaker 3: it's a great catch and lucky is all get out.
- 23:48Speaker 3: But Catch of the Decade is a little much.
- 23:50Speaker 2: There's a little cover, That's what I'm saying.
- 23:52Speaker 3: Recovery of the decade.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Recovery commercial. Right, yeah, yeah, you go right right, he.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Actually made that into that play, Am I wrong? Crowds
- 24:03Speaker 3: like he could have just caught that ball easy, but
- 24:06Speaker 3: he likes to.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Hit the heel.
- 24:08Speaker 4: Yeah, it hit off the heel of his glove. It's
- 24:10Speaker 4: not the catch of the decade. Like if he needed
- 24:12Speaker 4: to catch it between his legs to catch it, Yeah,
- 24:15Speaker 4: maybe catch it a decade, but I'm not sure how
- 24:17Speaker 4: that would have happened.
- 24:19Speaker 2: You know, It's funny.
- 24:21Speaker 1: On team broadcasts, you'll hear it at least ten to
- 24:24Speaker 1: fifteen times per year.
- 24:25Speaker 2: That is the catch of the year. There's not going
- 24:28Speaker 2: to be a better catch.
- 24:29Speaker 1: This year, and there always is, and there always was
- 24:31Speaker 1: one before that. Obviously there's one that wins. But you know,
- 24:34Speaker 1: it just feels big in the moment, that ain't it. No, agreed,
- 24:41Speaker 1: a lot of call ups are gonna happen because this
- 24:44Speaker 1: is like the new gaming the system going on here.
- 24:47Speaker 1: I mean it, it is, but it isn't. So if
- 24:50Speaker 1: you want to call a guy up right and it's
- 24:53Speaker 1: August first, you're like, yeah, I'm gonna wait until August
- 24:57Speaker 1: seventeenth or whatever it is when you call up a
- 25:00Speaker 1: player and he won't have rookie eligibility taken away from him. Okay,
- 25:06Speaker 1: if that's the case and that player wins Rookie of
- 25:09Speaker 1: the Year next year, you get a pick. You get
- 25:13Speaker 1: a first round pick, basically, right, it's like end of
- 25:15Speaker 1: the first round. I mean that's huge. That's worth millions
- 25:19Speaker 1: and millions dollars does.
- 25:20Speaker 3: As it gives him a free what forty five days
- 25:23Speaker 3: to watch the guy and just make a decision in
- 25:26Speaker 3: some meaningful games, Septembers to be the most overrated, like.
- 25:29Speaker 2: This September call up.
- 25:30Speaker 3: Yeah, but I'm not opposed to this.
- 25:33Speaker 1: I mean, this is much better than what we had
- 25:35Speaker 1: in the past, where teams would delay guys getting called
- 25:37Speaker 1: up to start the year. I know Kratz has probably
- 25:40Speaker 1: got a little something anyway. There's a bunch of call
- 25:42Speaker 1: ups flowing through. Samuel Baseio got called up, Dylan Bieber's
- 25:45Speaker 1: got called up for the Baltimore Oriols. Besio it is
- 25:48Speaker 1: supposed to be one of the better prospects in baseball,
- 25:51Speaker 1: a little catcher, a little first little DH.
- 25:52Speaker 2: We'll see what he ends up doing long term.
- 25:55Speaker 1: But Kratz, it also does help the player if they
- 25:57Speaker 1: win Rookie of the Year, So you do help their
- 26:00Speaker 1: status for.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Next year as well. I am pointing that out.
- 26:02Speaker 1: You can't win Rookie of the Year if you get
- 26:04Speaker 1: called up in you know August first, so if you
- 26:07Speaker 1: get the extra two weeks. Again, I want the best
- 26:09Speaker 1: players up at all times. But given the current system,
- 26:12Speaker 1: if Pisio gets called up and doesn't lose his rookie
- 26:16Speaker 1: eligibility next year, doesn't.
- 26:18Speaker 2: He get What did he get? Oh? Well, you got
- 26:21Speaker 2: a year service your service time. That's it doesn't matter
- 26:24Speaker 2: because you're called more for the team. Never mind, screw it.
- 26:27Speaker 2: It's all for the league as usual.
- 26:28Speaker 1: See, it's more for the I was trying to service
- 26:31Speaker 1: time league one time.
- 26:32Speaker 4: Service time manipulation. That's what it is. Oh wow, he
- 26:36Speaker 4: gets a million dollar bonus because he won Rookie of
- 26:39Speaker 4: the Year. He gets part of a pot because he
- 26:41Speaker 4: ends up in the whatever top three. No, it's for
- 26:47Speaker 4: the team. We heard it before. A first round, a
- 26:50Speaker 4: first round pick, it could be worth as much as
- 26:53Speaker 4: thirty million dollars to the team. You look at values
- 26:57Speaker 4: of players. Obviously, it has to be a good player
- 26:59Speaker 4: that the draft well, clearly, But this is a team thing.
- 27:02Speaker 4: It's service time manipulation by the worst teams. The best
- 27:07Speaker 4: teams are calling dudes up the day before that day
- 27:10Speaker 4: because they need help, because they want to win. These
- 27:12Speaker 4: teams don't care about winning. Beside your twenty three dingers
- 27:16Speaker 4: in Triple.
- 27:17Speaker 2: A should have been up before this, agreed.
- 27:22Speaker 4: FT fans, you want to have confidence when you go
- 27:24Speaker 4: out in public. Absolutely, we can't all wear a backwards
- 27:27Speaker 4: hat like me, but you can get some True Classic
- 27:30Speaker 4: fit shirts. It almost looks like, oh wow, this shirt
- 27:34Speaker 4: was tailored for me. Nope, it's every True Classic. This
- 27:38Speaker 4: john is soft, it is smooth, and it makes you
- 27:42Speaker 4: look a little jacked.
- 27:43Speaker 1: I'm just saying, and Crats, you are jacked and you
- 27:47Speaker 1: are spot on. True Classic is the spot to go
- 27:49Speaker 1: if someone's like, where do I get shirts?
- 27:51Speaker 2: True Classic. The colors are fantastic.
- 27:53Speaker 1: They've sold over twenty five million shirts to more than
- 27:56Speaker 1: five million customers. Their shirts just win. The feel, the
- 28:01Speaker 1: tailored look, the price. We all wear True Classic on FT.
- 28:04Speaker 1: I mean cam Maven literally can't say enough about them too.
- 28:07Speaker 1: Next time we have cam on, hit up True Classic
- 28:10Speaker 1: dot Com slash foul. Give it a shot, upgrade your
- 28:12Speaker 1: wardrobe and save on True Classic at True Classic dot
- 28:16Speaker 1: Com slash foul. That's True Classic dot Com slash f
- 28:20Speaker 1: o u L. All right, let's hit the Padres and Dodgers.
- 28:24Speaker 1: I teased it for like eight hours, Dodgers swept the Padres.
- 28:28Speaker 1: Let's just start there.
- 28:30Speaker 3: Remembers were in first place for that day and the
- 28:34Speaker 3: Dodgers were like, see your kids, back to the back
- 28:38Speaker 3: to the kiddie.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Table, big slap, I mean kershaw.
- 28:40Speaker 3: How about Kurshaw dealing?
- 28:42Speaker 1: They dominated Kurshaw and snow is their power problem with
- 28:47Speaker 1: San Diego? They rank really low in that category. They
- 28:50Speaker 1: helped themselves at the trade deadline, but will they hit
- 28:52Speaker 1: enough homers to win a World Series title? I know
- 28:55Speaker 1: we were just talking about how the Brewers don't hit
- 28:57Speaker 1: a lot of homers and the Blue Jays don't hit
- 28:58Speaker 1: a lot of homers, but that doesn't mean that you
- 29:00Speaker 1: win in the playoffs. That's why we're talking about this,
- 29:03Speaker 1: is that the main problem with the Padres.
- 29:06Speaker 4: No, the main problem is the Dodgers know how to
- 29:09Speaker 4: pitch against them. They got to figure that out. They
- 29:12Speaker 4: got to figure that out, because yes, they took the
- 29:15Speaker 4: Dodgers to the brink, absolutely, but the Dodgers did. They
- 29:20Speaker 4: beat them this series exactly the way that they beat
- 29:23Speaker 4: them last year. In the playoffs, the Padres will have
- 29:26Speaker 4: another shot at him. They have a chance to make
- 29:29Speaker 4: an adjustment, whether it's homers or it's not homers. Yeah,
- 29:32Speaker 4: they don't hit a lot of homers, but don't strike
- 29:34Speaker 4: out a lot either. They have to figure it out.
- 29:36Speaker 4: They have to figure out how to beat that bullpen,
- 29:40Speaker 4: and now it looks like they might have to figure
- 29:42Speaker 4: out how to beat some of their starting pitching too.
- 29:46Speaker 1: And darvesh didn't pitch very well now, I mean, I
- 29:50Speaker 1: know he didn't get the Lost Wars last Now, pitch
- 29:53Speaker 1: pretty good.
- 29:53Speaker 3: Snow pitch well. Hershell pitched unbelievable. That first night was
- 29:58Speaker 3: like I'm back.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Yeah, but this is what the Dodgers say with their rotation.
- 30:02Speaker 1: They're like, yeah, cool, as long as we get there,
- 30:05Speaker 1: Let's just make sure smells good for October.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Class now is good for October. Otani's good for October? Right,
- 30:11Speaker 2: they are starting to all come back.
- 30:15Speaker 4: Yeah, everybody wanted. Everybody said the Padres, we're gonna do it.
- 30:20Speaker 4: Two people said the Dodgers, that's it. Two people who
- 30:25Speaker 4: were those?
- 30:25Speaker 3: Two people? Tom Verducci and someone else.
- 30:28Speaker 4: I won't even tell you who was it?
- 30:30Speaker 3: You, I said, I'm not gonna tell you who.
- 30:33Speaker 2: Hold up.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Also, I'm not like burying the Padres. This is one
- 30:38Speaker 1: series they're gonna play.
- 30:39Speaker 2: They play again this weekend, I'll be there in San Diego.
- 30:41Speaker 2: You think there is San Diego.
- 30:44Speaker 4: I know this.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Whatever the attendance record is on Friday, they'll break it,
- 30:47Speaker 3: and then on Saturday they'll break it, and then Sunday
- 30:49Speaker 3: they'll break it again. So get ready people for attendance
- 30:52Speaker 3: records in San die because it's gonna be lit. I
- 30:54Speaker 3: can't wait. That's one of my favorite parts to go
- 30:57Speaker 3: to now, especially when they play a team like the Dodgers.
- 31:01Speaker 3: It is unbelievable. The atmosphere of Peco.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Do you have a night game West Coast night game?
- 31:05Speaker 3: Well, it's four o'clock.
- 31:06Speaker 2: It's four o'clock.
- 31:06Speaker 3: Okay, four o'clock.
- 31:08Speaker 1: I like when it's nighttime and everyone's drinking whatever they're
- 31:11Speaker 1: allowed to have.
- 31:13Speaker 2: I know, I know.
- 31:14Speaker 1: But when a game is at night, it gives you
- 31:17Speaker 1: more of the day to get excited. But then Saturday
- 31:21Speaker 1: is four O'clock's fine, it's not twelve o'clock.
- 31:24Speaker 3: Still, you know how many beat l a chancer will
- 31:27Speaker 3: be in that game. Oh, it's gonna be furious. It is.
- 31:30Speaker 2: It's gonna be glorious.
- 31:31Speaker 1: But yeah, for the Dodgers, I mean the starting pitching
- 31:34Speaker 1: definitely outmatched the Padres starting pitching, and there was some fight.
- 31:37Speaker 1: It's not like these were all blowouts. I mean the
- 31:39Speaker 1: Sunday game was really good. The Friday game was one
- 31:41Speaker 1: run game, right, really just Saturday.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Yeah, it was the one. I mean.
- 31:46Speaker 1: They also had some tactics that didn't work out for them.
- 31:49Speaker 1: I want to get to that real quick here. With
- 31:51Speaker 1: Mike Schild addressing it, he said they had a plan
- 31:53Speaker 1: against Blake Snell, which included being extra aggressive trying to
- 31:56Speaker 1: steal bases, and you said it didn't work, and so
- 31:59Speaker 1: they were running themselves into outs. Will Smith had what
- 32:02Speaker 1: three caught stealing in the first couple runners or first
- 32:05Speaker 1: couple innings.
- 32:05Speaker 2: He caught a few runners first. It's just good execution
- 32:09Speaker 2: there too.
- 32:09Speaker 3: Sometimes you got to stop though, after you get maybe
- 32:11Speaker 3: one or two, you're like, all right, guys, it's not working.
- 32:14Speaker 2: Well three was there.
- 32:15Speaker 3: Now Listen, if you're the captain of the Titanic and
- 32:17Speaker 3: you see the iceberg, you don't steer towards it, Okay,
- 32:20Speaker 3: you gotta stop and go left.
- 32:23Speaker 4: Actually no, if they had just run into it, it would
- 32:25Speaker 4: have been fine, probably right, Yeah, But it's because they glanced.
- 32:30Speaker 4: They glanced it that's why it made the hole the
- 32:32Speaker 4: ship the hole in the ship. Anyway, the padres go
- 32:36Speaker 4: through spells. The padres go through spells where they want
- 32:40Speaker 4: to steal a ton of bases, and so I think
- 32:43Speaker 4: they've done this. Early in the year they were just
- 32:44Speaker 4: successful and not necessarily against Blake Snell. But I'm saying
- 32:47Speaker 4: early in the year they were running like crazy, and
- 32:50Speaker 4: then they were shutting it down, and then they started
- 32:52Speaker 4: running like crazy. So I think they picked their spots.
- 32:55Speaker 4: I think they picked the bad spot. I mean three
- 32:58Speaker 4: bags or three caught steals in the first two innings.
- 33:02Speaker 4: That'll that'll shut it down, even your best laid plans,
- 33:04Speaker 4: that will shut it down.
- 33:05Speaker 3: I mean, no offense. But it wasn't like they had
- 33:07Speaker 3: their fastest guys going, I mean Tatiska Cover but then
- 33:09Speaker 3: they had Manny and and Bogert Steel, not like they're
- 33:13Speaker 3: Willie mace Hayes. Sorry, sorry, Bogey. I love you, Manny,
- 33:18Speaker 3: You're great, but you're not. You guys aren't the fastest.
- 33:21Speaker 3: It's like me and krats trying to steal bases. A
- 33:23Speaker 3: little bit different but but kind of close. A lot different,
- 33:27Speaker 3: a lot different, a lot, but you know what, Mandy,
- 33:30Speaker 3: I'll be Xander. Okay, okay, we can't compare bank accounts perfect,
- 33:36Speaker 3: I'll take me. That's fine, that's fine.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Should Padres fans be concerned and should Dodgers fans feel like, no, yeah,
- 33:43Speaker 1: we're good.
- 33:44Speaker 3: No, no, no.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Padres fans shouldn't be concerned Dodgers fans. Should they say, okay,
- 33:49Speaker 1: this means we're okay.
- 33:52Speaker 4: There should be more hope. There should be more hope
- 33:54Speaker 4: for the Dodgers. Padres fans, Dude, it happened. You win,
- 33:58Speaker 4: you win one of those close games and you get
- 34:00Speaker 4: you get one out of three.
- 34:01Speaker 3: It's good.
- 34:02Speaker 4: Yes, a sweep looks bad. Padres fans, they're still coming
- 34:06Speaker 4: back home.
- 34:06Speaker 2: You know.
- 34:07Speaker 4: All the Padres fans can like do some of their
- 34:09Speaker 4: like awkward raps that always come out whenever, Like the
- 34:12Speaker 4: Padres fans.
- 34:14Speaker 3: Do these things and you're like, weird, yeah, weird raps.
- 34:17Speaker 4: But anyway, like, like the Dodgers fans should feel better.
- 34:22Speaker 4: The whole year we've been like, oh, yeah, you know,
- 34:24Speaker 4: you gotta mitigate innings, you gotta, you gotta, you gotta
- 34:27Speaker 4: make sure this guy doesn't get all his starts. So
- 34:30Speaker 4: you gotta make sure this and this I wouldn't be surprised,
- 34:33Speaker 4: you know, a positive for the Dodgers. They didn't throw
- 34:36Speaker 4: Yamamoto this series, so less times that you see a guy,
- 34:40Speaker 4: especially a starter. How much does that help in the postseason.
- 34:45Speaker 4: I think it's a little. I think it's a little help.
- 34:47Speaker 4: I think there's there's some there's some belief that the
- 34:51Speaker 4: Dodgers are invincible, and that has been debunked, you know before,
- 34:59Speaker 4: during this entire wretch. But now they're getting all healthy.
- 35:02Speaker 4: So are they getting back to their invincibility from as
- 35:05Speaker 4: far as like pitching wise, Are they the best starting
- 35:08Speaker 4: pitching out there right now of all the playoff teams?
- 35:13Speaker 3: No, until they're healthy. I got a sandwich October, so
- 35:16Speaker 3: you can't say that right now.
- 35:17Speaker 2: Yeah, it's actually a good segue.
- 35:18Speaker 3: But here's the thing.
- 35:22Speaker 2: They're talking about the Phillies in a sack. That's yeah,
- 35:24Speaker 2: talk about.
- 35:24Speaker 3: The Dodger fans in the chat are like little brother,
- 35:27Speaker 3: this little brother that they can't win the big game.
- 35:30Speaker 3: Guess what, I just got to go to San Diego.
- 35:33Speaker 3: We'll see how it goes.
- 35:34Speaker 2: Also, they have beaten them in a playoff series.
- 35:36Speaker 3: They have.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think the Dodgers handled them pretty good
- 35:40Speaker 1: in the season series.
- 35:41Speaker 2: There, it's baseball. These teams are both very good at ball.
- 35:56Speaker 1: All right, we're back for a few minutes here on
- 35:58Speaker 1: YouTube before we three the Dodgers territory situation, and we're
- 36:02Speaker 1: showing you this clip from Victor Roeblaze in a minor
- 36:04Speaker 1: league game over the weekend, chucking his bat at Joey
- 36:06Speaker 1: est Is, who has spend a bitcher in the Bigs
- 36:08Speaker 1: in the past, and the bench is clearing.
- 36:13Speaker 2: There is history here.
- 36:14Speaker 1: I'm not going to spend a lot of time on
- 36:16Speaker 1: the history because you want to you want to charge
- 36:19Speaker 1: the mound, you want to punch someone, you want to
- 36:20Speaker 1: he threw a bat at a pitcher. Okay, so we
- 36:23Speaker 1: can do the obvious. You can't do that.
- 36:26Speaker 3: You can't do that. How long do you think you
- 36:29Speaker 3: can't do that?
- 36:30Speaker 2: Now, this isn't a minor league game. What do you
- 36:32Speaker 2: think is going to happen?
- 36:33Speaker 3: Because this has got to get suspended?
- 36:35Speaker 2: Like a few games? Is whatever? You think? Ten games?
- 36:38Speaker 2: That's it. You're throwing a bat.
- 36:41Speaker 1: That's the one thing I'm like, Yo, you want to
- 36:43Speaker 1: go charge the mount and beat the frap.
- 36:45Speaker 3: Bat fifty games? Right?
- 36:49Speaker 2: So here's my question.
- 36:50Speaker 3: Umpire.
- 36:52Speaker 1: Okay, but still you're throwing a bat, I know, at
- 36:55Speaker 1: a player, and even if the intent wasn't, I'm trying
- 36:57Speaker 1: to hurt you with it.
- 36:58Speaker 2: I'm just kind of chucking.
- 37:00Speaker 3: Did Manny Machado get his suspended when he threw his bat?
- 37:02Speaker 3: That one?
- 37:03Speaker 2: You can This is yo, Now this is different.
- 37:08Speaker 3: First of all, he swung. First of all, he swung
- 37:10Speaker 3: at the pitch, so he should throw it at himself
- 37:12Speaker 3: for swinging.
- 37:13Speaker 2: This guy is supposed to help the catcher do picking
- 37:16Speaker 2: up his helmet.
- 37:17Speaker 3: Dude, who's the catcher right there?
- 37:18Speaker 2: Is Cratzy.
- 37:18Speaker 3: That's what I don't know. Catcher's gotta go help his
- 37:21Speaker 3: boy out.
- 37:22Speaker 2: I mean, thrown at him all out.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Whatever I get it, then just charge the mound and
- 37:28Speaker 1: slug him in the face.
- 37:30Speaker 2: You can't throw your.
- 37:31Speaker 4: Bat bro in a rehabit a signment.
- 37:33Speaker 2: I know he's gonna come up soon.
- 37:35Speaker 3: We're to No, he's not, No, he's not.
- 37:38Speaker 4: This is gonna This is gonna be a little bit
- 37:41Speaker 4: his one fortunate thing in the minor leagues, you're getting
- 37:44Speaker 4: suspended and you got no recourse. He's a big leaguer,
- 37:48Speaker 4: so I think he'll he'll be able to like appeal it,
- 37:51Speaker 4: and I think it'll be ten to fifteen games.
- 37:54Speaker 3: But that's huge.
- 37:55Speaker 4: That's a big league player, like I've never I've never
- 37:59Speaker 4: seen it before. I've seen big leaders get thrown out
- 38:01Speaker 4: and rehab games. I mean, Joey s is just absolutely
- 38:06Speaker 4: just ripping the man's ribbed apart, just trying to rehab.
- 38:09Speaker 4: Oh he picked his helmet up again. Same catcher must
- 38:12Speaker 4: love Rick Victor's helmet.
- 38:14Speaker 2: Like, I get it.
- 38:15Speaker 1: You want to be like, what the fuck is this
- 38:17Speaker 1: guy doing? Yeah, I'm going to tear this guy.
- 38:20Speaker 3: Go ahead, never tear up.
- 38:22Speaker 2: You can't throw your bet, I get it.
- 38:26Speaker 1: You got lost in the moment. So you don't you
- 38:29Speaker 1: think ten tent team games is fine. You don't think
- 38:31Speaker 1: it's gonna be like thirty forty games in the leagu's
- 38:33Speaker 1: trying to send a message you can't throw. I mean,
- 38:35Speaker 1: we don't see this often anymore.
- 38:36Speaker 3: What you should never see this? What I mean, we
- 38:39Speaker 3: don't see it often anymore. Like when have you ever
- 38:41Speaker 3: seen this? You've seen guys throw their This is great
- 38:43Speaker 3: that he chucks the seeds out on the field. So
- 38:45Speaker 3: now some poor bat boy's gotta go pick him up.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Oh, that's fine. Chuck the seeds, throw the punches the bat.
- 38:52Speaker 3: The bad is the problem you can't do. How bad
- 38:54Speaker 3: do you have to get to throw your bat? Trust you.
- 38:56Speaker 3: I've wanted to throw my bat at a lot of people.
- 38:58Speaker 2: How about spike the bat down.
- 38:59Speaker 3: Bat any times, then.
- 39:00Speaker 2: Charge the guy, charge him until someone takes you off
- 39:04Speaker 2: of him.
- 39:05Speaker 3: That's a lot.
- 39:07Speaker 4: I've never wanted to throw my bat at somebody, not once.
- 39:12Speaker 2: Punches.
- 39:13Speaker 3: I wanted to do a lot of things with people
- 39:14Speaker 3: that we can't do. I mean, get thrown out enough,
- 39:19Speaker 3: you get tired of it. But you know, I always said,
- 39:21Speaker 3: you know, if they're thrown at me, fine, you hit me, fine,
- 39:23Speaker 3: but go get them. If you feel that strongly, go
- 39:26Speaker 3: get him. And it should have been Yeah, he swung,
- 39:29Speaker 3: he took a full halt gigs. That reminds me of
- 39:32Speaker 3: when miguel O Levo this is charge got hit by
- 39:34Speaker 3: a pitch the bases loaded and charged him ount against
- 39:38Speaker 3: us after he had swung it. One that was gonna
- 39:40Speaker 3: hit him, and he swung at it, and then he
- 39:41Speaker 3: got mad at the next one was there and he
- 39:43Speaker 3: just took it and then he charged him out with
- 39:45Speaker 3: the bases loaded. And I'm like and I had to
- 39:47Speaker 3: grab him obviously.
- 39:48Speaker 2: No were you like, are you mad at us or yourself?
- 39:52Speaker 3: Yeah? So I mean he was crazy. He was kind
- 39:54Speaker 3: of crazy anyways, Like he was he could get out,
- 39:56Speaker 3: you will mess him. But I mean if he charged
- 39:58Speaker 3: him out the basis load he got.
- 39:59Speaker 2: Hit guy right.
- 40:01Speaker 3: Oh yeah, Oh, I never forget. I grabbed him. So
- 40:04Speaker 3: he went like this, and I got and I and
- 40:07Speaker 3: I grabbed him and I had him. I had him
- 40:09Speaker 3: like this because I grabbed when he went like this,
- 40:11Speaker 3: I I grabbed him. So I had him like locked
- 40:13Speaker 3: up in our picture DJ Carrasco. He didn't hit him.
- 40:16Speaker 3: I'm like hit him, and he goes. He took his
- 40:19Speaker 3: glove and he patted him on the head. He's like
- 40:20Speaker 3: I don't know if he said I'm sorry, but he's
- 40:22Speaker 3: like you know. And then of course all humanity came
- 40:25Speaker 3: in and then me and jose Gan were locked up
- 40:27Speaker 3: on the mountain like this. I'm like, dude, it's okay,
- 40:29Speaker 3: Like I was just trying to protect my pictures, like
- 40:30Speaker 3: I know, I know. And then you see Miguel Levo
- 40:32Speaker 3: sneaking around. He's trying to hit me and I duck
- 40:34Speaker 3: and he's sprigging smashes jose Gan. Oh he hit the
- 40:38Speaker 3: fire because he tried to hit me and I could
- 40:40Speaker 3: see him, so I ducked and he hit ose Gan.
- 40:45Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, it was It was awesome, Like so, dude,
- 40:48Speaker 3: those things are scary. By the way, Miguel Olebo is
- 40:51Speaker 3: a big dude.
- 40:52Speaker 4: For you to get Miguel Oleva and hold him, people
- 40:55Speaker 4: need to look up. Justin Morneau trying to run Miguel
- 40:58Speaker 4: Libo over just more know was running and he got
- 41:01Speaker 4: the worst of it. Is a.
- 41:05Speaker 3: They used to call him the manimal on the he was.
- 41:10Speaker 3: They were like that, dude is so strong.
- 41:12Speaker 1: Back backup catcher, hit tanks. I mean he probably started
- 41:16Speaker 1: a little for a little while. Yeah, yeah, I just remember, like,
- 41:18Speaker 1: all right, here comes the Libo.
- 41:21Speaker 3: It was actually really nice, which is funny. He was
- 41:22Speaker 3: really nice except when and when he snapped.
- 41:25Speaker 1: He snapped, and that's fine. You just you can't throw
- 41:28Speaker 1: a bat. Nobody does that. You just can't do it.
- 41:31Speaker 1: We'll see what happens.
- 41:32Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 41:33Speaker 1: You see how the message gets sent Dodger's territory Alana
- 41:36Speaker 1: Clint and manager Dave Roberts.
- 41:38Speaker 2: Good timing.
- 41:39Speaker 1: You get Doc coming off the sweep of the padres.
- 41:42Speaker 2: We'll see what he has to say.
- 41:44Speaker 1: We'll flip you right over there, or click over to
- 41:46Speaker 1: Dodgers Territory Throw to subscribe.
- 41:48Speaker 2: They work their asses off. We'll see you tomorrow.
