- 0:19I would be proud to be in this council. It was an honor. I had
- 0:21so much fun. Tune in every Monday for the Revolution of Purpose solo

- 0:30Welcome to another episode of Revolution of Purpose Conversations,
- 0:34the show where we sit down with people who are helping others discover
- 0:38who they are, why they're here, and how to create a life
- 0:42of greater purpose and fulfillment. Today's guest
- 0:46is someone that I'm really looking forward to introducing you all
- 0:49to. Adam of Venus is a mindset,
- 0:53manifestation, and human potential coach who works with entrepreneurs,
- 0:58business leaders, sales professionals to help them create extraordinary
- 1:02breakthroughs in both business and life.
- 1:04His work brings together neuroscience, quantum physics,
- 1:08identity, and practical coaching to help people break through
- 1:12those internal limitations that often keep them from living
- 1:16the life that they're truly capable of creating.
- 1:19And on a personal note, Adam is not just someone that I admire
- 1:23professionally, But he is actually my own mindset coach.
- 1:27I've experienced firsthand the way that he challenges people
- 1:30to think differently, see differently, and ultimately
- 1:34to become different. I'm excited for
- 1:37all of you to hear from someone who has had such
- 1:41a meaningful impact in my own journey. So, Adam,
- 1:45welcome to the Revolution of Purpose podcast.
- 1:48Thank you, John. I'm so excited to be here. And, you know,
- 1:52You know, it's really cool that you're bringing people on to have a conversation,
- 1:56you know, people who are flowing in their purpose. Because when I
- 2:00met you, I really challenged you on what would you really want
- 2:04to do with your life. And hats off to you because you actually
- 2:08are someone who takes coaching and runs with it. You've made so many changes in
- 2:12your life. You are flowing in your purpose and you're
- 2:15also helping a ton of people do exactly that too. So it's
- 2:20a beautiful kind of, um, culmination of where we've,
- 2:24you know, grown to and where we're at right now with all of this,
- 2:27isn't it? Absolutely. It is a little bit surreal.
- 2:31Um, I know when we first started working together, Adam, and,
- 2:34and at the time I was the sales director for a flooring company. I was
- 2:37in real estate. I had a wholesaling business in real estate.
- 2:41I was doing a lot of wonderful things.
- 2:45But they weren't my purpose, you know. And it was so important when
- 2:50you asked me how, you know, what do you desire your life to look like
- 2:53and what do you want to do? And all I knew at the time was
- 2:55that I wanted to use my voice. And so I had started like posting on
- 2:59social media, and but I had not, I had not yet envisioned the
- 3:04podcast, the book Revolution of Purpose, all of that. And one of
- 3:08the exercises that you gave me there was to list 100
- 3:11ways that I could use my voice, that I could flow
- 3:15in my purpose. And the idea for Revolution of Purpose
- 3:19was actually number 101. Like, I listed
- 3:23all 100, and after I put my pen down, it took me several days to
- 3:28do it. I just was having quiet time, and all of a sudden I saw
- 3:32in my mind #RevolutionOfPurpose,
- 3:35and that became the book that I wrote. It became the coaching
- 3:39program that is still to this day my flagship mindset
- 3:43coaching program, and it became the very podcast that now you're sitting on right
- 3:47now. And, and I mean, I have chills like talking
- 3:51about that and thinking about that, how, oh my God,
- 3:55what manifestation is that? You know, I'm sitting
- 3:58here on a call with you then talking about
- 4:02how I've had this idea for Revolution for Purpose and how I saw it taking
- 4:05off, and now I'm on a podcast by the same name that's growing
- 4:09so fast and interviewing you. So Thank you for challenging me to,
- 4:13to go past my 100 ideas. Thank you for challenging me
- 4:16all the different ways that I could use my voice and finding my own purpose.
- 4:20Of course. No, I'm so happy we're here. And, you know, I say this
- 4:24all the time when it comes to this stuff, it really is greater than us,
- 4:28right? Like, I have people come to me all the time and they say,
- 4:31Adam, you changed my life. And it's not that I did.
- 4:35I facilitated you going within to connect
- 4:38with what you are meant for. That's all that happened. And that's
- 4:42what we're experiencing right now. We're literally actually experiencing an
- 4:46idea manifested in physical form through this conversation.
- 4:49And so it's an exciting thing. That is,
- 4:53that is amazing. And even this very podcast,
- 4:56you— we had a coaching call. You know, this podcast is a
- 4:59little over 2 months old now. I think we're 9 weeks in and it's growing
- 5:03so fast and I'm so thankful for that. But I think it
- 5:06started with a conversation about 4 months ago where you asked me on a one-on-one
- 5:10call, John, is there something that you're supposed to be
- 5:14doing that you're not? And I was like, yeah, I'm supposed to launch a podcast.
- 5:16I just didn't think I had time to do it. And you're like, well,
- 5:19then do it. You know, like, I don't have time is a limiting belief.
- 5:24And it's one that I think that we let control us in a huge
- 5:27way. So many people do. But it's just not true. We all have the
- 5:32same time and we're tapped into a limitless
- 5:36potential of time. And then we could go even deeper about, you know,
- 5:39time not being linear and all this other thing. But, but we do have
- 5:43time. We just decide that we don't, you know,
- 5:46100%. And, you know, it's such a great,
- 5:49you know, image for other people to see because it all just has to
- 5:53do with the ideas that you accept. And when you accept ideas
- 5:57of limitation, of not having time, that becomes your reality. If you accept
- 6:01that you're going to make this podcast work no matter what, the time
- 6:05will make itself. It will find itself. Your mind will rearrange whatever
- 6:09automatically to make it happen. Absolutely.
- 6:12And so I think it's beautiful that you accepted that idea and
- 6:16that you were actually okay with being challenged,
- 6:20which is what happened there, to be able to accept what was trying
- 6:23to come through. Because that's another big thing, you know, I,
- 6:27I've realized from coaching thousands of people now that A
- 6:32lot of times people won't change unless they're challenged.
- 6:36And to the people who get in the rooms and are willing to be challenged
- 6:41and then actually do something with the awareness that comes,
- 6:44those are my people. And that's why you're one of my people, right?
- 6:47You're the best for that. Absolutely. Thank you. I appreciate that.
- 6:51And it's, and it's the truth. I've realized the same.
- 6:56The people who who can't accept coaching
- 6:59or being challenged are not going to change. Like,
- 7:02they don't desire to change enough to allow someone
- 7:06to speak truth. Like, with coaching, it's so important for us
- 7:09to put a mirror in front of someone's face. You know, if I
- 7:13use that example so much, but if you don't like your reality,
- 7:16you have to change yourself. If you don't like what you see in the mirror,
- 7:19you have to change yourself. You can't change the mirror. And it's the same with
- 7:22reality. And I think in coaching, that's so important. And you
- 7:26did that for me and continue to. So I'm very appreciative
- 7:29of that. Good. I have a question
- 7:33that I ask everyone that appears on this podcast,
- 7:37and I'm really looking forward to hearing your answer to this,
- 7:39Adam. Who are you today that
- 7:43your younger self would be proud of?
- 7:46Hmm. That's such an incredible question. And I'm
- 7:50sure it's so exciting getting to hear the various ways people answer that too.
- 7:54You know, there's so many things that come up for me when I hear that
- 7:57question, but I would say the number one of all is I'm
- 8:01the person who shows up for myself. And it sounds so simple,
- 8:04but it's actually one of the key things that has created
- 8:08the life that I live right now. The fulfillment,
- 8:12the happiness, everything truly. That one
- 8:16character trait has been a result of millions of dollars, as an
- 8:20example, right? Of making millions of dollars. And it's because when I was
- 8:24younger, I was someone who would constantly back down
- 8:28in the face of fear. And I think a lot of people do this too,
- 8:31right? Where maybe you endeavor for something different,
- 8:35or you start moving towards what you actually want,
- 8:38and— or maybe you're just still living in your same programming, but as
- 8:42soon as something gets hard, you kind of shrink back.
- 8:45It's like this contraction that happens. And that was something that happened to me for
- 8:50years. You know, if I wasn't feeling right, I would call in sick for work
- 8:54and I would shrivel up, you know, kind of shrink back to my smaller self.
- 8:57And at a certain point in my journey, I just made a commitment
- 9:02that I was going to show up for my higher self as my higher self.
- 9:05I was going to show up for what I really wanted. And not allow myself
- 9:09to shrink back down when things get scary or uncertain or overwhelming.
- 9:13And that's who I am today. I'm the kind of person who, you know,
- 9:18that one week that I just had was a really great example. In one week
- 9:22I did 2 events across 2 cities on next
- 9:26to no sleep and a few days later my beautiful baby boy was born and
- 9:30I was on my coaching calls. I was still running those calls from a boardroom
- 9:34just outside the hospital. You know, like I show up and that's
- 9:39continued to compound not just in my own life but in the
- 9:43lives of everyone that I'm able to touch. You do.
- 9:46You, you definitely exhibit that trait.
- 9:50Like you show up for yourself and for your clients.
- 9:53I can remember when I first started working with you, um, you were
- 9:57in Italy I think for, um, for maybe a month or so and I
- 10:00even asked to say I said, do we need to reschedule your calls for when
- 10:04you get back? Like, we— I don't want to take your time. And you're like,
- 10:06you don't understand, I'm, I'm living a life I don't have to take a vacation
- 10:10from now. And that resonated with me. That helped me
- 10:14see the possibility that I could create a life that
- 10:18I love so much that I don't have to take time off from it,
- 10:21you know? Exactly. And, you know,
- 10:24it makes showing up a different thing. Like, I don't have to force or
- 10:28push, right? Like, I've created a life that I'm enthusiastic
- 10:32about showing up for. And was that a product of
- 10:36years of inner work? For sure. But like, you know, it's,
- 10:39it's different and it's beautiful. That is, it is beautiful.
- 10:42And congratulations on Everett William.
- 10:46Is that right? Everett William Avenis? Yes. So to you and to Kristen,
- 10:50congratulations. That is, I'm so excited for you guys, both of you.
- 10:53Thank you. Um, so you mentioned, you know,
- 10:56the life that you're living now, and people, they may see where you are today,
- 11:00but they don't always see the journey that got you there, you know. So tell
- 11:05us a little bit about your story and what led you into this
- 11:08work specifically. Yeah, it's a great question,
- 11:12and I love talking about the story too, because you're right, like, people can
- 11:16see some of the lifestyle or, you know, even who I am and how I
- 11:20show up, like we said, but they don't see the harder times, the harder decisions,
- 11:24the fear, all of that. And the truth is, when I first found this
- 11:28work, I was, you know, as I said, someone who didn't show up for
- 11:32myself, but I was also someone who didn't realize how bad my mindset was.
- 11:36You know, I would have never pegged myself as someone who was cynical or,
- 11:41you know, who looked for the worst-case scenarios. But as soon as I met my
- 11:45first coach and I was asked very confronting questions, I realized
- 11:49I had a very poor image of who I was in my mind. You know,
- 11:53I had so much scarcity and was ruled
- 11:56by so much fear, and it was a real wake-up call for
- 12:00me because I didn't even know it was in there. So I met a Bob
- 12:04Proctor coach when I was young. I was working in real estate,
- 12:07and she just changed my life. This material really
- 12:10just changed my life. It allowed me to see what was operating
- 12:14underneath the surface It allowed me the tools to actually
- 12:18change that. And when I saw my results change from a— as
- 12:22a product of rewiring my mind, things just— I mean,
- 12:25it became undeniable. Things just changed so fast, and I just leaned in more
- 12:30and more. And, you know, I went from using this
- 12:33work to triple my income in real estate to,
- 12:37you know, building a software company to getting to
- 12:41this point where I knew in my heart that if I could spend my time
- 12:44doing anything, it would be through sharing this material,
- 12:48coaching, and everything. And that was after a decade of,
- 12:52you know, getting coached, of going deeper, of learning neuroscience and quantum
- 12:56physics and reading deep into spiritual texts and all of these
- 12:59things. And what's funny is even after all of
- 13:04that, I still was at the point where even though I knew I wanted it,
- 13:07I questioned if I needed to prove more. And I think everyone can find themselves
- 13:11at that point, right? Do I need to prove more?
- 13:15Like, do I need to do more before I can actually just step
- 13:18into what I'm meant for? And the question is no, it's just accepting it for
- 13:21yourself. And I made a lot
- 13:25of, you know, scary decisions along the way. I'm gonna be very open about that.
- 13:29I invested in coaching and invested in myself when,
- 13:32you know, I didn't have the money sitting around in a bank account, right?
- 13:35Um, I leveraged credit and did what I had to do,
- 13:39and that was the start or the transition of,
- 13:43you know, other things, or me with my poor mindset into an
- 13:47incredible mindset, an incredible business, you know,
- 13:50multi-seven-figure business. And, uh, it's only
- 13:54getting better, truly. That's amazing. So would
- 13:58you say that your own self-work helping you find
- 14:02your potential sort of then woke up inside of you your passion
- 14:06for helping other people find their potential? Oh, 100%.
- 14:10You know, I got to this point, I'll never forget,
- 14:14I was in my condo. I had
- 14:17created a life that I had once wanted. It was the dream life at one
- 14:21point. And I just felt so depressed and I didn't know what was going
- 14:25on. And it was because I had used this work for achievement
- 14:29only and achievement of what I thought
- 14:33success was. It wasn't my own definition. And so I got to
- 14:37this point where I felt empty. And when I started to look at that,
- 14:40I said, okay, well, I have what I want. I got everything
- 14:44that I thought I wanted, right? So why do I feel unhappy?
- 14:47And it was because I was fulfilling someone else's definition of success.
- 14:52I never actually stopped and asked the myself
- 14:55what my soul wanted, like what I really wanted for my life. And when
- 14:59I did, there was a voice that was very loud and clear, which you've
- 15:03experienced too, that voice that just tells you exactly what you're meant
- 15:07to do. And it was scary, and it took a lot of courage for
- 15:11me to even face that voice. And that was
- 15:15the moment where everything really changed in my life. If I
- 15:18could say there's 2 moments, the first was meeting my first
- 15:22coach, just becoming aware of this work. And the second would be when I faced
- 15:26that there was a voice within me that was calling me to a different
- 15:31expression. And when I actually listened to that voice,
- 15:35everything changed and I knew I had to share with other people how
- 15:39to actually tap into and listen to that voice as well.
- 15:42So what do you call that voice? My higher self, the intuition,
- 15:46the higher power, infinite intelligence, God. You know,
- 15:49there's many different ways to look at it, but I think the
- 15:53key understanding within that is that there is an intelligence,
- 15:56there is a power greater than we understand ourselves
- 16:00to be that knows more than us. And it is purposeful.
- 16:04It is here to experience something specific.
- 16:08And that's why achievement can feel empty if it's not connected with
- 16:11that higher guidance. You know, one of the things that I
- 16:16think from day one resonates with everything you do, like the
- 16:20coaching calls we've had, your group calls, one-on-ones, your,
- 16:24um, you know, your, your masterminds when we, you know,
- 16:27come together for conferences, all of that is that everything
- 16:31you talk about through manifestation is based in
- 16:34service. It is not just accruing wealth for
- 16:38the sake of accruing wealth. And I think that's what you're hitting on. You're like,
- 16:42I, I was living the dream, but you were missing your
- 16:46purpose in that dream. And it was just— it's hollow.
- 16:49Like, I feel like success without service is hollow. I 100%
- 16:54agree. And, you know, if we're talking about aligning
- 16:58with our soul-level self, right, our higher self, I think
- 17:02every human somewhere within there, like, your soul has a desire to
- 17:06serve in some way. Your soul is, you know, for connection
- 17:10of some kind and making the world a better place. So tapping into
- 17:15that is a soulful thing, 100%. I agree totally.
- 17:19So one thing that I love about your coaching,
- 17:23and I'm trying to not fanboy, but I, you know, I'm just like, here's all
- 17:27the things I love about Adam of Venus's coaching, but it has just transformed my
- 17:31life so dramatically. And I wouldn't be hosting this podcast,
- 17:35I don't believe, had we not worked together. And I just realized
- 17:39Hey, whoa, I should be doing this. Um, but one thing that I love about
- 17:43your coaching that's been life-changing for me is that you don't
- 17:47just help people accomplish their goals, you help them become someone— I don't
- 17:51even want to say different— you help them awaken to their highest self.
- 17:54And so a lot of what I do is
- 17:57identity-based coaching, and a lot of my podcasts
- 18:01recently have been on this, this, you know,
- 18:04importance of of identity. And so let me
- 18:07ask you, how would you define identity? This is
- 18:11such a great question. And, you know, it really taps into that we
- 18:16as beings, you know, as spiritual beings living a human experience,
- 18:19truly, we exist on 3 different planes, right?
- 18:24We are spiritual in nature, as we just touched on. I think
- 18:29everyone can kind of come to an understanding that we have a soul, or their
- 18:32spirit. Like, that is the true essence of who we are.
- 18:35There is also the mental plane, right? We have thoughts.
- 18:39We get to choose those thoughts. There's thoughts and emotions. There's an internal,
- 18:43and then there is the physical plane. And so what people
- 18:47don't understand is, yes, you can tap into your intuition
- 18:51and listen to what spirit is calling you to, but your mental and
- 18:55physical body is still conditioned to a
- 19:00belief really about who you are or
- 19:03about how this world operates. And so if you're going to ask me about
- 19:08what identity is, identity is the mind
- 19:11and body's idea or concept as
- 19:15to who you are. And that comes with
- 19:18character traits, that comes with emotions, that comes with what you believe
- 19:22you're worthy of or capable of. You know, how you believe results
- 19:26to be produced, how you think people respond to you, all of these different things.
- 19:30It's really a concept you've accepted as to who you are.
- 19:34And why identity is so important to understand and the paradigm and
- 19:38understanding that you have to rewire your mind is because we
- 19:42can tap into spirit and get information as to what we're meant to do.
- 19:45You can, just like you did when you faced that there was a
- 19:49higher expression of creating a podcast for you to do. It doesn't
- 19:54mean that your current programming is set up for that already.
- 19:58There might be resistance. You might be questioning if you're capable
- 20:03of that. You might be questioning whatever it is, right? There's different narratives that
- 20:06have to do with that concept of yourself that you've accepted.
- 20:10And so we have to do the work to rewire who
- 20:13we believe ourselves to be to be in
- 20:17alignment with what we receive, you know, in terms of intuitive
- 20:21downloads from spirit.
- 20:24And what's interesting is the identity is always going
- 20:28to be expressing itself. So whether it's aligned with
- 20:31your spirit or not, let's say it's misaligned with your spirit, it will express—
- 20:35your body will display and express the identity. It won't
- 20:39express spirit, it'll express the identity. That's why we have to create that
- 20:43alignment. Of our identity with the higher calling of what spirit is
- 20:47really truly trying to evolve us into, if that makes sense.
- 20:52Absolutely. So when you talk about like
- 20:56our identity is and how sometimes our identity is, is not aligned
- 21:00with our highest self, would you say that's become— well,
- 21:04I know with the paradigm of thinking that we get in,
- 21:08you know, stuck in so many times. Why do you think people
- 21:12get so stuck in their paradigm? Why do you think that so many
- 21:15times people get so stuck in their own stories? And when— even when these stories
- 21:19are limiting us of where we could go, you know,
- 21:23I think it starts with that most people don't realize that they're just living through
- 21:27stories. They're just actually, you know, fully engorged
- 21:31in the experience of their story. They don't think— they don't realize there's
- 21:34anything else outside of it. Right? They've convinced themselves that that's truth.
- 21:40And, you know, just to give an example to that, I had convinced
- 21:43myself or accepted a narrative that the only way to experience
- 21:48success was to suffer. And so I just lived in suffering thinking
- 21:51that that was going to bring me to success. And so I
- 21:55didn't know any better. And I think that's where it starts with a lot of
- 21:58people is they don't know any better. Now, the next kind of stage or step
- 22:02to that is you become aware of it. Maybe you meet John Street and
- 22:06he gets to, you know, show you exactly what's holding you back. Maybe you
- 22:09listen to this podcast and you actually wake up to some of those stories
- 22:13that are there. Now, just because they're there doesn't mean you know how
- 22:17to rewire them. So that's almost more uncomfortable,
- 22:20if anything, when you're aware of the illusion but you're still living
- 22:24in the illusion. That's hard, right? And so then that
- 22:28next step is learning how to rewire it. And when you learn, you know,
- 22:32I would say it takes a process and it takes people working with someone like
- 22:36yourself or myself to actually really understand the
- 22:39process to rewiring your mind and rewiring those narratives to live
- 22:44into different experiences that you can create. That's like
- 22:47the process it takes, if that makes sense.
- 22:51Absolutely. So you mentioned how uncomfortable
- 22:55it gets. Would you say that the most people that by the time
- 22:59that they found you in coaching, do they have this sort
- 23:03of thing in common where they've gotten to a place that it's just really uncomfortable
- 23:07because they feel stuck? Like, and I don't know the percentage
- 23:11or how many, like it could be. And I mean, I've got some clients that
- 23:14don't feel stuck. They just want to go to the next level. But I would
- 23:17say the vast majority of people that work with me
- 23:20are people that feel like one of those cars you have as a kid where
- 23:24you pull it back and then you let it go and it just takes off,
- 23:26you know, except they feel like they've been pulled back, but they can't let go.
- 23:30You know, do you, do you see that in a lot of the folks that
- 23:34you work with? That's such a good analogy. I love that.
- 23:37And yeah, 100%. You know, I would say there's 2 things I
- 23:40see is either people who know that they're stuck, or there's
- 23:44people who just know very deeply within them that they are meant
- 23:48for more that they want. You know, the next level, and they don't know how
- 23:52to really approach that, if that makes sense. Um, so sometimes
- 23:56it doesn't have to be like from the negative of being stuck, it's just from
- 24:00the positive of wanting more and knowing that guidance will get them there faster.
- 24:04So this is kind of a good segue into neuroscience because
- 24:08I know you've spent a lot of time studying neuroscience. And what does
- 24:11neuroscience say about getting unstuck? Like, what does it lend
- 24:16us when creating lasting transformation? That's such a good question.
- 24:20And, you know, I would say neuroplasticity is the best place to start.
- 24:24To those who've never heard the word neuroplasticity, it's essentially the
- 24:28understanding that our way of thinking can actually change the
- 24:32structure of our brain. So what does that mean? It means
- 24:35that if you were to think in a new way, it allows
- 24:39your mind to therefore actually, like, create structure around that
- 24:43way of thinking so that it can you know, move that way easier. So I'm
- 24:47going to give a really great example, and I think that this will help a
- 24:50lot of people. You know, let's say that you have a cabin
- 24:55in the woods that you grew up going to. Your parents took you there.
- 24:57They owned this cabin in the woods. And, you know, you walk outside,
- 25:02you walk up to the forest, and they would take you on this walk in
- 25:04the forest. And over time, they stamped down the grass
- 25:08and they threw the, you know, branches out of the way, and they created this
- 25:12beautiful trail through the forest. And you grew up just going up there and you
- 25:16see the trail and you walk through that trail in the forest. Now this becomes
- 25:20automatic. This is neuroplasticity. If there's a path that is,
- 25:23you know, your mind is used to going on, it makes it very easy for
- 25:27it to just continue going on that path. Now what ends
- 25:32up happening is maybe you become an adult and you realize maybe you want
- 25:35a different experience. Maybe if you were to walk
- 25:40up to that path You can create what's called the mindfulness gap where you become
- 25:44aware of your narrative. You don't have to actually go into the narrative.
- 25:47You become aware of it. You create separation between you and a thought and
- 25:52you say, you know what, rather than going down the same way we've been going,
- 25:56what if I walked that complete other way through the woods?
- 26:00What if there's a beautiful lake or a waterfall? There's some
- 26:04better experience that we just haven't allowed ourselves to
- 26:08explore because we're just used to walking the same path. And so
- 26:11what happens is that's the mindfulness gap, is first just stopping and creating separation
- 26:16between you and an automatic way of thinking or being. The next
- 26:20step is to actually go that different path, meaning think
- 26:24that different way, you know, choosing a way
- 26:27of thinking, of course, that is conducive to what you would really want. And the
- 26:31first time you walk that different way, there's going to be resistance.
- 26:35It's going to be hard. There's going to be the grass
- 26:38that you got to trample down and the branches you got to throw out of
- 26:41the way. But if you keep choosing that new path, what ends
- 26:45up happening is the old path grows over and it becomes
- 26:49harder to go that way. And the new path slowly
- 26:53becomes the automatic path that, in this example,
- 26:57the brain goes to. And so this is a, you know,
- 27:01an image of neuroscience that I continue to come back to because
- 27:04I think it really paints the picture for people that they do have the choice.
- 27:08And if they create the gap and then consciously choose,
- 27:12eventually that new way of thinking will be the easy automatic
- 27:15way, and the old way of thinking will become harder over time.
- 27:20And, you know, some people may hear that and be like,
- 27:23oh, well, that sounds kind of woo-woo. But not only is it not woo-woo,
- 27:27it is used every day in addiction recovery.
- 27:31You know, if, if you've ever known anyone who's gone through addiction recovery,
- 27:34this is something that they do in rehab. Like, if you can Get rid
- 27:39of the triggers that are causing you to always take the same path. And,
- 27:42and this is how you, you rewire your brain. So you break
- 27:46habits, you break addictions. It's, it's the same thing.
- 27:49So I know people often hear the phrase, your brain
- 27:53doesn't know the difference between imagination and reality.
- 27:56And that's something that, you know, I've heard Bob Proctor say.
- 28:00I've heard people say that. Can you unpack what that actually means?
- 28:04And how like visualization and emotion are actually working together
- 28:08to help us reshape our brain? Yeah, such a great question. So it's
- 28:12the subconscious mind in specific that can't tell the difference between, you know,
- 28:16physical reality and something that is vividly imagined.
- 28:20And the reason that it can't tell the difference is because the subconscious mind
- 28:23is the feeling or emotional mind. So if the subconscious
- 28:28mind is the feeling or emotional mind, It is basically you're just imprinting
- 28:31the emotions of the experience onto it, and then that's
- 28:36what it dictates as truth. So the cool thing about this and how to use
- 28:39this is, you know, your subconscious mind is always basically
- 28:43going to look for proof of what's been imprinted
- 28:47on it. So this is why, going back to the example used before,
- 28:50if I have imprinted the emotion, the narrative and the emotion,
- 28:54onto my subconscious mind, that it, you know, success requires
- 28:58suffering, then my mind is automatically filtering all of reality and
- 29:02looking for proof that success requires suffering.
- 29:06And therefore my mind is automatically actually creating
- 29:10the experience of suffering because it's looking to experience suffering
- 29:14so that I can get what I want. So this is
- 29:18interesting because to your point, then we can use that understanding
- 29:22to actually create a different filter through
- 29:26which we see everything through and therefore a different reality.
- 29:29So now let's go to the opposite of that.
- 29:33If I want to experience an ease with success,
- 29:37I realize it's just a narrative that I need to suffer for success.
- 29:40And so I realize that I want to experience being
- 29:44successful beyond my wildest dreams and it— for
- 29:47it to feel easy and and like flow and like serenity. Now,
- 29:51if I were to go into my mind and visualize in vivid detail what
- 29:55that feels like, it's the emotions that we need to tap into. You have to
- 29:59remember that as you, you called out there. So if we were to go and
- 30:03experience that in our mind, we will start to actually feel the emotion
- 30:07of what that can feel like, of success feeling easy, and our subconscious
- 30:11mind not being able to tell the difference. It's just feeling the emotion of
- 30:15that success can feel easy. And then the reticular activating
- 30:19system, which is that part of your mind that is finding that proof,
- 30:23is looking for and filtering reality for that proof that
- 30:28success can be easy and feel like flow. And then it's actually
- 30:32pulling us into that experience, identifying and accepting
- 30:35those opportunities that do feel like ease and flow.
- 30:39And so the more we do that the more we get to manifestation,
- 30:45which is, you know, people are like, how do you manifest?
- 30:48Well, that's it. You, you change your paradigm,
- 30:51you flow, you, you change your emotions, and all of a sudden you
- 30:55start to make decisions that match the life you wish to live
- 30:59instead of what you've been in the habit and condition of
- 31:03living. So manifestation is— I mean, it is such
- 31:07a buzzword, of course. But a lot of people hear the word manifestation, and they
- 31:11think, oh, well, that means I wish for something, and it's gonna come to pass.
- 31:14But I don't think that's exactly how it works. What, what do you believe is
- 31:18maybe the biggest misconception that people have about manifestation?
- 31:22Please pardon me while I interrupt your podcast episode with a quick message.

- 33:21or reach out to me on any of the social media platforms I mentioned.
- 33:25And now let's get you back to today's episode.
- 33:29So the biggest misconception that I think people have about manifestation, it's funny,
- 33:33but it's People think it's woo-woo, but like in its simplest terms,
- 33:37manifestation is simply having an idea come into physical form,
- 33:41and that's done everywhere. I mean, like I said at the beginning of this episode,
- 33:45this podcast is an example of manifestation.
- 33:49It started as an idea, you ended up committing to
- 33:52it, and then moving out into the physical form where people could go
- 33:56on to Apple or Spotify and find it. And listen to it, and it's become
- 34:00something real that is actually distributed through the physical world.
- 34:05So that's all it really is, right? That's all manifestation is.
- 34:08If anyone's saying it's woo-woo, well, look at any company in the world,
- 34:11any product, anything you see started as an
- 34:15idea. So anything that you can see that is man-made is
- 34:19simply a manifestation of someone's idea.
- 34:22We're all sitting in a building that was a manifestation of someone's
- 34:26idea, or for you sitting outside a building. But still, yes,
- 34:29exactly, exactly. So I think that's the biggest misconception.
- 34:33Now we can take it to any different level from there. I mean, you know
- 34:36the depths we could go with this topic. But I think if
- 34:40you start there in its most simplest terms, then there's nothing really to,
- 34:44you know, deny anymore, if that makes sense. I think a question
- 34:48that I get asked a good bit about it, especially people who are really new
- 34:51to mindset work is where does manifestation end
- 34:55and personal responsibility begin? And I
- 34:59feel like they're saying, you know, where do you get out of your head and
- 35:02do the action? But I feel like when you ask the
- 35:06question like that, you're missing the part
- 35:10of it that you have a personal responsibility to envision it before you
- 35:14take the action. It's not like you envision envision it and then take action,
- 35:17or it doesn't work. You have to do all of it. It can't just be
- 35:21the action is responsibility. Like, that's such a hustle culture way to say,
- 35:24well, you know, if I envision it but I don't work 80 hours,
- 35:28it's not going to happen. Like, where is that? I guess at
- 35:31some point you have to start trusting spirit, source,
- 35:34the universe to come into play. Would that be kind of what takes it
- 35:39out of that hustle culture, work 80 hours to make it happen?
- 35:41Yeah, well, I mean, I think it's the understanding that
- 35:47all you have to do is accept the idea and
- 35:50the movement comes as a byproduct of that. So the
- 35:54example of— I always give people this example. Let's think
- 35:58of it this way. Let's say there's someone who's in a sales role and
- 36:02they have a hard time making cold calls.
- 36:05They just have so much resistance to towards it? Well, their belief isn't
- 36:09there. Because look at it this way, if you believed
- 36:13that if you made a day's worth of cold calls,
- 36:16you would make the kind of money you want to make, if you genuinely believe
- 36:20that, you'll put in that day's worth of phone calls, right? If I gave you
- 36:23a list of 10 people and I said one of these people is going to
- 36:25give you a million dollars, you just have to call them, you would call them
- 36:30because the belief is there. So if there's a lack of belief, There's internal
- 36:34work that we have to do to move into that.
- 36:37Now let's look at it in another layer because this is something I experienced.
- 36:41Let's say you're actually doing the thing and you're putting in the calls, you're doing
- 36:45the work, right? But let's say you're not seeing
- 36:49the results. Well, it's the energy you're showing up in
- 36:53that produces the results. If you have an identity that
- 36:57is rooted in that you are not the kind of person that
- 37:00people will take seriously, it was my thing back in the day,
- 37:04then why would someone say yes to you? They're picking up subconsciously that
- 37:08exact level of energy or confidence, and then they're going to believe the same thing.
- 37:13So I think at its root, not only will,
- 37:17you know, the internal or spirit create the
- 37:20movement, meaning if you accept an idea, the movement will happen. Of course,
- 37:24you took actions to make this podcast happen. The belief
- 37:27had to be there first. And then when you move into
- 37:30that, that actual action or that movement, it has
- 37:34to have the right energy behind it. Otherwise,
- 37:37there's no point. You won't get the results. And again,
- 37:41we could go much deeper, but just there alone should show people that
- 37:45it all works together. And you have to be looking at the internal or energetic
- 37:50or spiritual side of it if you really want the results that
- 37:54you want. Absolutely. So would you say it's fair to say you can't really create
- 37:57a different life without being willing to change who you
- 38:01are as a person? 100%. Yeah,
- 38:04100%. Like, I literally had that written down as a question
- 38:07to ask you, and I'm like, well, you just answered that question. I mean,
- 38:10it's, it's absolutely— it can't be done. But this is
- 38:14a good question that kind of feeds into this. So where does quantum physics
- 38:18come to play in all of this? There are so many levels to
- 38:23that answer, but I'll start here. I think this will be a good way to
- 38:26explain it. So in quantum physics, they have proven that,
- 38:31you know, the worlds in which we see the physical side of this,
- 38:36you know, experience is actually 99.9999%
- 38:40energy. That's what it is. That is the physical plane. That you
- 38:44experience and see. And so what you have to understand is
- 38:48within our reality, almost everything is actually
- 38:52energy. That's what everything is. We live in a
- 38:56universe, a world full of energy, and that energy is made
- 39:00up of infinite level of vibrational frequencies.
- 39:04So matter, what you can see, is the slowest
- 39:08form of vibration. That's why you can see it, touch it,
- 39:12taste it, smell it. Whereas there are infinite levels
- 39:16of vibration and frequency that we're not tapping into.
- 39:20We're going very deep here. So now
- 39:24with that understanding, what, what's very good for, I think,
- 39:28people to know is that you can tap into any
- 39:32of those other, like, frequencies that exist in the here
- 39:36and now. They are right here in our universe. All of these different
- 39:40frequencies exist, and if you change your vibrational frequency,
- 39:44your thoughts and beliefs and who you believe yourself to be,
- 39:47you are actually able to tap into some of that other information.
- 39:50Now, why does this matter? Because the information of
- 39:54any different life that you want to fulfill exists right now in
- 39:58energetic form. So just like your podcast,
- 40:02there was a higher vibration sitting just outside of your level of awareness that
- 40:06was saying the next iteration of Revolution of Purpose
- 40:10and everything that you want to flow in is a
- 40:13podcast. And now you accepting
- 40:16that actually allows that idea to come into you. What does that do? It starts
- 40:21the flow, the channel of information on that vibration.
- 40:24So you will continue to attract more awareness,
- 40:29more information that's on the vibration you accept.
- 40:32So if you accept the idea of a podcast, guess what?
- 40:36You're going to start thinking of the name, of the people that you want to
- 40:39have on it. You're going to attract the opportunity for those people to
- 40:43come on it. You're going to think of, you know, all the other things start
- 40:46to come into play because there's information that's existing
- 40:50on that vibration. Now quantum physics is a very
- 40:54deep topic and there's even infinite, you know, more depths
- 40:58to that. But in its most basic form, just the understanding
- 41:02that we have access to all the information that would allow us
- 41:06to create any kind of life— it just starts with accepting even
- 41:10the first bits of that vibration. That's what allows
- 41:14the further ideas to be attracted from that vibration, if that makes sense.
- 41:19It makes total sense. But for people who maybe it's
- 41:23a newer Um, subject for, you know, and they, they're like, oh my
- 41:27gosh, what? You just lost me. Why? This is so woo-woo. I love to use
- 41:31the example because you talk about frequency, and we have energy
- 41:35that is seen and energy that is not seen. So it's
- 41:40not a question of if that's true. We know it's true. Turn on
- 41:44a radio and you know it's true. Turn on your microwave
- 41:48oven and you know you have microwave frequency. Turn on, you know,
- 41:52uh, your, your television and satellite images come in.
- 41:55Like, you have things that we cannot see that become existing
- 42:00things to us. And so there is an unseen
- 42:04out there. And that's all basically you're saying is that we
- 42:09have what we can see, but there is a vast amount of unseen frequencies
- 42:13that we can tap into that that is available to us,
- 42:17right? Oh, exactly. And I think I'm happy you brought up
- 42:21the radio because I think it's a great easy example to come back to.
- 42:24It's just like a radio. If you change the dial, you tune into a different
- 42:28actual stream of information. What happens? The song changes. You change
- 42:32to a different channel and the unseen becomes sound
- 42:35in your living room, right? So it's just like that.
- 42:39That's all it is. It is. And if you don't like what you're getting on
- 42:42the radio, you change the frequency to another
- 42:46station. That is literally what life is with this
- 42:50teaching. If you don't like the reality that you're seeing, you've got
- 42:54to change your frequency, which means rising to a higher vibration
- 42:59of yourself, rising, awakening to a higher version of yourself to be
- 43:03on the frequency that matches the reality you want to see. And it
- 43:07sounds woo-woo, but it's really just absolutely,
- 43:11um, it's just real. I mean, it is. And I
- 43:14wasn't familiar with it when we started working together,
- 43:18and my life has so dramatically changed through even being
- 43:22open to it. I mean, I came from the, the Christian faith is what,
- 43:26uh, I've been raised in, and so that's what I know. And so I had
- 43:29to work through, well, what about this, or what about that? But I realized so
- 43:32much of of what I've learned through this type of
- 43:36work is actually talked about in the Christian faith and
- 43:41talked about in other ancient traditions. Like, there is so much power,
- 43:44you know. The, the scripturally it says God gives us the desires of
- 43:49our heart, and another scripture says that out of the abundance of the heart the
- 43:52mouth speaks, and then another scripture says in the mouth, in the tongue,
- 43:56is the power of life and death. So right there,
- 43:59you know, from our heart to our brain to our words,
- 44:04we're— we can speak the reality that we desire to see.
- 44:08I mean, if we can speak life and death, there is no other greater thing
- 44:11we can speak. And so, I mean, you find it in the Christian tradition
- 44:16and in Muslim tradition and Buddhism. It's, it's all
- 44:19in all of the ancient teachings, ancient religions, you know,
- 44:22the inscribed above of, you know, the interest of Delphi.
- 44:26I think, therefore I am. I mean, it's just— it is all
- 44:29right there. We just have to accept it and,
- 44:33and shift, shift our frequency to match. Exactly.
- 44:37And I'm so happy you brought it around to that too, because, you know,
- 44:40if you start becoming open-minded and exploring and seeking,
- 44:44you'll see it everywhere. And when you can get to a point where this
- 44:48is just how it all is, when you can actually accept that this is just
- 44:51how everything is, and then it's up to you just to apply it.
- 44:55That's what will actually allow you to become willing in a new way
- 44:59to create that different life using the proof that's
- 45:02all around us already. That's huge.
- 45:06So let's take it to something practical and doable.
- 45:11Let's say someone is watching or listening to this, whether you're listening
- 45:14on Apple Spotify, Amazon, Podbean, or you're watching
- 45:18on YouTube, what is one exercise that someone
- 45:22could start doing this week that will begin changing
- 45:26the way they think and help them identify, like, help them awaken
- 45:30to their highest identity? I love this
- 45:33so much, and I just wrote an article that I've not even released
- 45:37on this. So this, you know, the guests listening today, this is going to be
- 45:41the first place you hear it. Love the synchronicity. It's so
- 45:45good. It's so good. So I think, you know, it starts with allowing yourself the
- 45:49permission to dream, I think. And that's how you're gonna
- 45:53really, you know, utilize this work and see it come to
- 45:57fruition is with like permission is where it starts. And I think,
- 46:00you know, one way to give yourself permission to dream
- 46:04without power is with a question called what if. What comes after
- 46:08that? If you could have anything, or if there's something you feel you're meant
- 46:12to do, I want you to just ask yourself the question, and you can write
- 46:16it out. You can go pen to paper. What if it did all work out
- 46:20how I wanted? And you could put down anything. Maybe it's a podcast,
- 46:23right? Maybe it's a completely different career. Maybe it's 3x-ing
- 46:27your income within your career. Whatever it is, what if this
- 46:31was my reality? What if it all worked out how I wanted?
- 46:34Whatever comes after the what if, and just write it all out. Like,
- 46:37see what comes up and allow it to flow. Now,
- 46:41the second question I think is very important is, you know,
- 46:45what if— it takes the pressure away, so to speak,
- 46:48right? You're just kind of exploring. You're just curious. Now,
- 46:51the second question that I think you need to ask yourself is, why not?
- 46:56So if you write out what if it
- 46:59did all work out how I wanted and I could triple my income in the
- 47:02next year. And you write out what that would be like. You explored it.
- 47:05You gave yourself permission to explore. The next thing I want you
- 47:09to write is why not? Why can't you? And what it's
- 47:13going to do is it's going to give you awareness because it's going to show
- 47:16you firsthand whatever narratives are there. It doesn't matter
- 47:20if you think it's logical. Oh, logically, you know, people don't make that
- 47:23much in my industry. Logically, the market's bad, whatever it is. Those are all narratives
- 47:28and that's what you have to understand. You know, the amount of people who said
- 47:31that you can't make the kind of money I make teaching this work,
- 47:36it's, you know, it's all narratives. It's just what other people have accepted as
- 47:39true. I know that I don't have to accept that,
- 47:42right? So then ask yourself, why not?
- 47:46And see all of the awarenesses that come up and
- 47:50as they come up, what I want you to do is I want you to
- 47:53actually switch them into what you would want.
- 47:57So if you say, you know, what if I tripled my income?
- 48:00And you write that out, and then you say, why not? Whatever excuses
- 48:03come up, write the opposite. Well, because the market, you know,
- 48:07why not? Because the market is in a bad place. Well,
- 48:10what if within your market you can create your own economy
- 48:15and you can create a service that people would want regardless of the economy?
- 48:19And as you start to change each of those narratives, you are slowly conditioning
- 48:23yourself to actually be able to accept that you
- 48:28can triple your income. And when you accept that you can
- 48:31triple your income, it's starting to move into form already. It is already starting to
- 48:35happen. You are already attracting the ideas, the awareness, the people. Your mind is
- 48:40identifying the people, identifying the opportunities, all of that. But it starts
- 48:43with accepting it. And in my opinion, this is one of the best ways to
- 48:46actually accept it. That is huge. I wrote it down myself.
- 48:49I'm just like, I'm gonna do that exercise myself. And you should
- 48:54totally do this exercise, not only because of what,
- 48:57what you could uncover from it, but also to break the
- 49:01habit of what if being a negative statement. You know,
- 49:04a lot of times the what ifs are horrible. It's like, what if this goes
- 49:08wrong? What if— but I love this. What if it does work out?
- 49:12You know, what if this really does happen? And, and why not?
- 49:16I mean, what if I do triple my income doing something I love and I'm
- 49:19passionate about? And why not? I think that's, that's huge,
- 49:23Adam. That's amazing. Um, so I
- 49:26have a lightning round that, uh, that I'd like to go into. I hope you're
- 49:30ready for, um, but I'm, I'm doing this week's lightning round a little
- 49:34different than what I've done in the past for people who are watching the podcast.
- 49:37I actually want you to complete a sentence. I'm gonna start it and then
- 49:41I want you to kind of complete it for me. So we'll have several of
- 49:45these in a row. Um, okay, I like this. Complete this sentence: success
- 49:49is whatever you want it to be. I love
- 49:53that. Failure is just awareness
- 49:57or learning lessons. Oh my gosh, because everything's working together for our good.
- 50:01Oh yeah, love that. Confidence comes from,
- 50:05from understanding your true human potential.
- 50:08Fear is false evidence appearing real.
- 50:12In addition to Revolution of Purpose, the book, one book everyone should read is—
- 50:17love this— hmm, The Power of Awareness by Neville
- 50:21Goddard is where I'll start. I have a lot there, as you know. There's so
- 50:25many that I want to recommend, but I'll start there. Neville Goddard is such
- 50:28the OG. I love him. I really do. Not my favorite.
- 50:32Yeah. Um, last of the lightning round questions:
- 50:36one lesson that you wish you had learned 10 years earlier?
- 50:39Um, I think it's what a lot of what we talked about here
- 50:43on, on this episode. Um, that whatever you
- 50:47accept as your reality becomes your reality, and that we have the ability
- 50:51to choose the ideas that we accept.
- 50:54Absolutely. I'm so thankful you did learn that, and I'm so thankful that you're
- 50:58using your voice to help other people learn that same lesson,
- 51:02because it is, it is empowering, it is freeing,
- 51:06and it's important work. So I'm so thankful that you're doing that, Adam.
- 51:11Um, before we wrap up, I do have one final question for you,
- 51:14and this is something that I ask every one of the peers on this podcast,
- 51:17and I'm Really looking forward to hearing your answer.
- 51:21What is one thing about purpose that you believe most people
- 51:24are missing? Hmm,
- 51:27I think this is so good. Purpose starts personal.
- 51:31It starts with a desire. It starts with an excitement. It starts
- 51:35with something that lights you up and makes you want to explore something further.
- 51:40But purpose really isn't about yourself at the end of the day. I think
- 51:44it's when you realize that your purpose is meant to
- 51:48serve others, when you understand that the reason you
- 51:52have a desire is because there is people who are meant to be
- 51:56changed by whatever it is that you provide,
- 52:00that I think is the key. And it allows— it's allowed me
- 52:04at least to get out of my own way, because whenever I want to play
- 52:07small, I realize that's so selfish to play small. Small because it's not
- 52:12about me. It's about the people who are meant to experience whatever reason I
- 52:15desire to serve in this way. That is so huge. And it's, you know,
- 52:19it's, it's almost counterintuitive. Playing small is
- 52:22seen as selfless, but if you're called
- 52:26to be big and use your voice and get out there, it's being selfish
- 52:30because you're letting the fear of what others think or all those limiting beliefs keep
- 52:34you from shining that light. And no man is an island.
- 52:38You know, there are people who are going to need the light that we shine.
- 52:42I liken our purpose to a lighthouse.
- 52:45I mean, we just, we don't know who is lost at sea that needs
- 52:49to see what we're going to shine their way. And it's,
- 52:53it's that important. I mean, it really is that important. It is life-changing
- 52:57work. Exactly. It's everything. It's everything.
- 53:00It is everything. Well, Adam, this has been such an incredible
- 53:04conversation. I appreciate not only your willingness to come on the
- 53:08show, but also just the investment that you've made in my own
- 53:12life. I am so grateful for your friendship, your coaching,
- 53:15and the way that you challenged me to think differently. And just for coming on
- 53:19and sharing your light with the audience of the Revolution of
- 53:23Purpose podcast, it means the world to me. I'm so glad.
- 53:26Of course. I will say one last thing.
- 53:30So I'll put this in the show notes as well, but where
- 53:34is the best place for people to connect with you or to follow you?
- 53:38Yeah, I would say Instagram. Instagram is the best place. We're pretty active on there.
- 53:42So that's where. And I didn't mean to cut
- 53:45you off. What were you about to say before I just talked over you?
- 53:48I was just going to say the one last thing I just want to remind
- 53:51everyone is that like it's bigger than you.
- 53:55It's so much bigger than you. I think this podcast right here is bigger
- 53:58than us, right? We're here, we're meant to be here for a reason.
- 54:01Everything has a purpose. And so I just wanted to end on that
- 54:05note because I think it's, it's important for us to hear consistently and repetitively
- 54:10and actually remember and operate with that. Absolutely.
- 54:13That's how we change our paradigm of thinking, is repetition of thought
- 54:17and emotional catalysts. That's amazing. Yes. To everyone
- 54:21listening, thank you so much for joining for another episode of Revolution of Purpose,
- 54:24especially these conversations episodes. I hope that you get as
