- 0:02After this week and talking about Laura
- 0:04Horvat so much,
- 0:06I think I'm kind of starting to like
- 0:07her.
- 0:08Let's talk about that next.
- 0:21I love the chase and the hunt,
- 0:22and I set the pace when I'm running.
- 0:24I always take what I want,
- 0:25and I always give it one hundred.
- 0:27Don't need a bank, no I'm funded.
- 0:28Play the game like it's nothing.
- 0:30I'm always thankful for something.
- 0:31Don't take for granted, stay humble.
- 0:33Now wake up!
- 0:34It's time to look at the enemy.
- 0:36Look in the mirror if he is no
- 0:39friend to me.
- 0:40What's going on?
- 0:41It's lunchtime, everybody.
- 0:44I don't have train all of in the
- 0:45chat.
- 0:45Give me my lunch time.
- 0:47Right.
- 0:48That man.
- 0:50I have to,
- 0:50I have to go with a Joseph Ramirez
- 0:52lunchtime.
- 0:54He seems pretty excited about it.
- 0:55Nothing else.
- 0:56Yeah.
- 0:59Just weird.
- 1:00You know, you, you have expectations.
- 1:04Oh, yeah.
- 1:10We got Shay in the chat.
- 1:12We got Corey.
- 1:13You're here.
- 1:13How are you chatting?
- 1:15Hey, bro.
- 1:15I'm everywhere.
- 1:18Every meal is exciting.
- 1:21It sure is.
- 1:24Look, Ramirez was in the military.
- 1:26He understands about every meal being
- 1:27exciting because you never know when your
- 1:29next one's going to be.
- 1:29So every meal is definitely exciting.
- 1:33So I've been trying to dial it all
- 1:35in, right?
- 1:37I'm starting to do my broccoli slaw
- 1:40frittatas for breakfast.
- 1:43That sounds good.
- 1:44So, you know, a little pan spray,
- 1:47a little broccoli slaw.
- 1:48Let it cook up a little bit.
- 1:50Pour some egg white over it.
- 1:52And then one egg.
- 1:54And then a little bit of Chinese ketchup.
- 1:57The sriracha.
- 1:58Yeah.
- 1:58I got a bottle in my desk.
- 2:01And so...
- 2:03My wife stays home from work today,
- 2:05and she's working from home.
- 2:07And she goes, man, that stinks.
- 2:09I'm like,
- 2:10who asked you to come into my office?
- 2:14It seems unnecessary.
- 2:15It's my house.
- 2:18I just break in every morning.
- 2:22Telling me my breakfast stinks.
- 2:24And then I go back to my desk,
- 2:26and she's like, man, but it looks good.
- 2:30Go make your own.
- 2:31Oh, wait, it stinks.
- 2:32You don't want to leave my breakfast
- 2:36alone.
- 2:37That's beside the point, Shay.
- 2:39I'm trying to be healthy.
- 2:41I need support.
- 2:42It might still look funny while it's
- 2:43cooking, but I guarantee it tastes good.
- 2:51Sriracha will now be referred to as
- 2:52Chinese ketchup at my house from now on.
- 2:54You think we could get a sponsorship if
- 2:55I just do this long enough?
- 2:57When I say there's one at my desk,
- 2:58I'm not kidding.
- 3:00It is my favorite sauce in the world.
- 3:02It's fantastic.
- 3:05You just have to little dots on whatever.
- 3:08You don't have to go crazy.
- 3:15Sounds great,
- 3:16but those damn condiments always have to
- 3:17have so much sugar in them.
- 3:19actually i don't think it's that bad this
- 3:21has zero grams added sure there you go
- 3:25right here on the label one teaspoon which
- 3:30is five grams is uh about per serving
- 3:34zero calories the whole container is
- 3:37ninety five servings and i'm only dotting
- 3:41the thing so yeah
- 3:46That is kind of great.
- 3:47Corey, do you live in a flood zone?
- 3:50Why are your plugs so high on the
- 3:51wall?
- 3:52Bro,
- 3:53if I can answer that question logically,
- 3:57I would.
- 3:57I have absolutely no idea.
- 4:01My office used to be like a storage
- 4:03closet,
- 4:03which is why I have my fake window
- 4:04right up here on the wall.
- 4:07So I have absolutely no idea,
- 4:09really and truly.
- 4:11Ken,
- 4:12looks like I'm buying Chinese ketchup
- 4:13today.
- 4:14See?
- 4:15You know what?
- 4:15You're welcome.
- 4:16Try it, buddy.
- 4:19And then just is like still too spicy
- 4:21for me.
- 4:23Add a little spice to your life.
- 4:25she's a she's a farm girl like she
- 4:28just wants whole whole milk like raw milk
- 4:30and and probably eating eggs out of the
- 4:32yard which i ain't mad at either one
- 4:34of them by the way right so yeah
- 4:37get some fresh beef salt pepper yeah uh
- 4:44next up protein enhanced sriracha but hey
- 4:48you said sponsorship and we already got it
- 4:50we already got a convert
- 4:52yeah look let's see how easy that was
- 4:54people sriracha check us out look we were
- 4:57we talked about it one time and we
- 4:59converted somebody already already got a
- 5:02sale right out the gate and before you
- 5:04even gave us any any kind of money
- 5:06i mean come on uh jess is like
- 5:09yes sir megan fresh eggs are the best
- 5:15They are.
- 5:16My mom and I went down a rabbit
- 5:18hole the other day because we were
- 5:19watching survivor and they,
- 5:22the one team won a rooster and three
- 5:24hens and the team killed the rooster to
- 5:28eat and kept the hens.
- 5:30And I was like, well,
- 5:31don't you need one to get the other?
- 5:34And so apparently,
- 5:36apparently after deep researching this,
- 5:40you don't need a rooster to get eggs,
- 5:42right?
- 5:43You only need a rooster if you want
- 5:45those eggs to become chicks.
- 5:50Just like a female produces eggs.
- 5:54Okay, but here's the thing on that,
- 5:56though.
- 5:56Survivor is kind of a long-term thing,
- 5:58right?
- 5:59How long did they go for?
- 6:01It's like twenty-eight days or something
- 6:03now.
- 6:03Okay, so that's not that long.
- 6:05All right, never mind.
- 6:07Yeah.
- 6:07So they kept the hens,
- 6:09so the hens will keep laying the eggs,
- 6:11and they won't be fertilized,
- 6:12which you don't want them to be fertilized
- 6:14anyway.
- 6:14I was going to say,
- 6:16if they were going to be there for
- 6:16a while,
- 6:17then they could make more chickens by
- 6:20having the rooster,
- 6:21and that would make more sense,
- 6:22because then you've got food supply.
- 6:24Yeah, you're not going that long.
- 6:26They're not going that long.
- 6:28To incubate the eggs would be complicated.
- 6:30I've never seen an episode of Survivor.
- 6:34FYI, not one.
- 6:36Well, it just made me wonder, like,
- 6:37because I thought my whole life to get
- 6:39an egg to come out of a hen,
- 6:41you needed a rooster for it to happen.
- 6:43But no, the egg always comes out.
- 6:45The rooster only fertilizes the egg if you
- 6:47want chicks.
- 6:51So.
- 6:54Fair enough.
- 6:55I need that.
- 6:55I mean, it makes sense.
- 6:56You know, thing to come up now.
- 6:58Yeah.
- 6:59We need that on the button on the
- 7:01road.
- 7:02Yeah.
- 7:04Yeah,
- 7:04I'll never understand those chicken and
- 7:06rooster rules.
- 7:07Never.
- 7:10Megan, it's basically a hen's period.
- 7:13There you go.
- 7:14I don't care.
- 7:15Yeah.
- 7:15Fresh eggs are phenomenal.
- 7:18I got a friend of mine that they
- 7:19have chickens and we get eggs from them
- 7:22fairly regularly.
- 7:23And I absolutely love them.
- 7:25Joseph, what about Baloo?
- 7:27That means the egg's been fertilized.
- 7:29That means there was some intercourse
- 7:32going on between the rooster and the hen,
- 7:34and the egg becomes fertilized.
- 7:38And Jess says, from the farmland,
- 7:40roosters are a-holes.
- 7:43So are geese.
- 7:44I don't know if you knew that or
- 7:46not.
- 7:46They are.
- 7:47Ducks, geese.
- 7:48Geese are mean.
- 7:51We are...
- 7:53In Columbus,
- 7:53we were inundated with Canadian geese.
- 7:57Yeah.
- 7:58They're protected.
- 8:01If you hit one,
- 8:02it's like a seven hundred dollar fine.
- 8:05And they waddle their ass across the
- 8:06street like they own the joint.
- 8:09Oh, my gosh.
- 8:14So how does the rooster fertilize the egg?
- 8:16Sounds like the rooster gets no play.
- 8:18The rooster does have to mount the hen
- 8:21to fertilize the egg.
- 8:23So you I'm just telling you.
- 8:31You learn at lunch.
- 8:32You're welcome.
- 8:35Megan,
- 8:36we lived in Fort Wayne for a while.
- 8:37They're everywhere and they are mean.
- 8:39Yeah.
- 8:39See, we're not that far from Fort Wayne.
- 8:41I'm like two hours,
- 8:42two and a half hours away.
- 8:44I think you put up, yeah.
- 8:46It's Canada geese, not Canadian geese.
- 8:49They do not have citizenship.
- 8:53That's fair, Doug.
- 8:59I didn't realize how much I'd learned
- 9:00today.
- 9:01See?
- 9:02This is a learning show.
- 9:04This is the most educational show on the
- 9:05internet.
- 9:06I'm just telling you right now.
- 9:07You can learn stuff every day.
- 9:10I swear to God, my mom is AD.
- 9:13She listens to the show every day.
- 9:14She loves Corey.
- 9:16She never misses a Corey episode.
- 9:18And then at night, we recap it.
- 9:23And then there's always questions.
- 9:24And we're going Amazon Alexa.
- 9:27We're going Google.
- 9:28We're doing something.
- 9:32Educational and fun.
- 9:33Yeah, that's why we're here.
- 9:38Look, Shannon.
- 9:39I really guys had no idea.
- 9:41People didn't know how this works.
- 9:44Listen, you and your doctorate degree,
- 9:46it can come in here saying all this
- 9:47stuff.
- 9:48I'm just a simpleton with an MBA.
- 9:51I don't know.
- 9:51I don't know how biology works.
- 9:53Science was my struggle bus.
- 9:56Some people are qualified to give health
- 9:59advice.
- 9:59Some people know about chickens.
- 10:00Like, come on.
- 10:04Oh, and finally, finally,
- 10:05like five minutes late.
- 10:07Lunchtime.
- 10:09Thanks, Winner.
- 10:13Oh, look, we talked about Holly yesterday.
- 10:15So what came first,
- 10:16the chicken or the egg?
- 10:17I'm going to go with chicken.
- 10:22The world will never know.
- 10:23It's like how many licks it takes to
- 10:25get the center of a Tootsie Pop.
- 10:27The world will never know.
- 10:28The world may never know.
- 10:30I'm glad you said that.
- 10:30They were talking about, I said,
- 10:32play the song on the radio show.
- 10:34Let's do it in the morning.
- 10:35Bill, I'm a bill on Capitol Hill.
- 10:37And that was all about the same time.
- 10:42Rob Gilroy is going with the egg.
- 10:44Rob doesn't.
- 10:45That's one of my best friends on the
- 10:46face of the planet.
- 10:47He has absolutely no idea what he's
- 10:48talking about.
- 10:48Don't worry about him.
- 10:53Look, these days,
- 10:53fifty percent of the population can't tell
- 10:55you what a woman is.
- 10:58This is a farm show.
- 10:59We're not going into that politics.
- 11:03Yeah.
- 11:06geese are great watch pets for predators.
- 11:09I had them on the farm,
- 11:10and they protected the other birds.
- 11:13I know people that have had geese for
- 11:15that reason.
- 11:16They didn't have a guard dog.
- 11:17They had a guard goose.
- 11:19I can see that.
- 11:20They are mean as hell,
- 11:21and they would do the job.
- 11:22They're very territorial.
- 11:23If they live somewhere,
- 11:24that's where they live,
- 11:25and they're accepting no solicitors.
- 11:31I need one for my front porch.
- 11:32Yeah.
- 11:35Well,
- 11:36last thing before we get into a little
- 11:37bit of CrossFit is yesterday I got my
- 11:39CT scan back.
- 11:41My doctor has not looked at it yet.
- 11:43And so I got it.
- 11:47I'm going to share it because I don't
- 11:49know what it means.
- 11:51Well, maybe Shanna can tell us.
- 11:52I'm trying to guess.
- 11:57So here we go.
- 11:58And this is just the recap at the
- 12:00top.
- 12:01So these are my sinuses for my CT
- 12:03scan.
- 12:05I have varying degrees of paranasal sinus
- 12:08mucosal thickening,
- 12:10overall significantly increased since.
- 12:14With findings of chronic bilateral frontal
- 12:17sphenoid and maxillary sinusitis,
- 12:20total opacification of the left maxillary
- 12:25sinus and bilateral frontal sinuses.
- 12:28That last sentence doesn't sound great.
- 12:29No, no.
- 12:31The last sentence, number two,
- 12:32really got me.
- 12:33Scattered hyperdensity in the maxillary
- 12:35frontal ethmoid sinuses could reflect
- 12:39insipid secretions or fungal colonization.
- 12:48Bilateral paranasal sinus outflow tracts
- 12:50are opacified.
- 12:53Hold up.
- 12:54Just reach.
- 12:55Look, brother.
- 12:57Left side's full of fluid.
- 13:04There we go.
- 13:05Basically, you're stuffed up.
- 13:07There it is.
- 13:10Thank God.
- 13:12There we go.
- 13:16And I now have a fungal colony.
- 13:18Yeah.
- 13:22So got those words yesterday.
- 13:25There's also like later in a thing about
- 13:27something about my septum is off to the
- 13:29one side and a bunch of other stuff.
- 13:32Yeah.
- 13:32Do you have any nose broken?
- 13:39Or you ever broke your nose,
- 13:39I should say?
- 13:41I don't know.
- 13:44I don't know.
- 13:45I was a bouncer in a bar for
- 13:46years, man.
- 13:46Right.
- 13:48What happened during those times?
- 13:49I don't know.
- 13:49Got it.
- 13:52Yeah,
- 13:53they cannot drain because outflow tracks
- 13:54block leading to build up a fluid that
- 13:57bacteria and fungus love.
- 13:59Yeah.
- 13:59So that's exciting.
- 14:01It was to determine whether an antibiotic
- 14:04rinse could be used to go up in
- 14:05there to kind of clear it all out.
- 14:07Or is it going to take another surgery
- 14:10to open it up and get that stuff?
- 14:14And so I've been dealing with this for
- 14:16four years.
- 14:18I've already had one sinus surgery where
- 14:20they left a sponge in there.
- 14:22I remember that.
- 14:24I remember you said you either coughed or
- 14:25sneezed and it came out.
- 14:27I sneezed and it came out.
- 14:29And so now I have got a whole
- 14:33new set of doctors.
- 14:34I'm going through the whole process again
- 14:36to try to get this cured.
- 14:38And so the new ENT sent me for
- 14:41the CT scan to get these results.
- 14:44And as you can see,
- 14:45I had the surgery in twenty twenty two
- 14:48and it's worse now than it was then.
- 14:53So.
- 14:56Uh, so see me,
- 14:58I've tried all the rinses.
- 14:59I've tried all the neti pots.
- 15:01I've tried all the stuff.
- 15:07It's just, it's just not moving.
- 15:12Yeah.
- 15:12Thank you for that.
- 15:13Um,
- 15:15so I have not tried to shop vac
- 15:18with the special nasal attachment that I
- 15:21still have to give a go.
- 15:24i mean do you have a shot back
- 15:26because i could build you something to put
- 15:27up your nose dude i am there are
- 15:30temptations i would be almost willing to
- 15:34give it a shot just saying i get
- 15:37one hundred percent build you something to
- 15:38put up there and we can run that
- 15:40shot back and get that out of there
- 15:41yeah so before we jump into too many
- 15:46other things i did want to share this
- 15:48one thing that holly put out today uh
- 15:52because this is love on holly week
- 15:56Are we talking about the Google doc that
- 15:58she made?
- 16:00Yes.
- 16:01Dude.
- 16:03So I'm going to share that right here.
- 16:07This came out of Sunday night show.
- 16:10People were asking how to qualify for
- 16:12different things, how to, what, how, who,
- 16:15how many are they taking?
- 16:16How many get to the games?
- 16:18So this is a Google doc and this
- 16:20is the main page.
- 16:21This is the, the season is a,
- 16:23an outline.
- 16:25Then over here on the left,
- 16:27you see all of the – and this
- 16:29is for Masters.
- 16:31You see Legends, Magic City, Online Semis,
- 16:33French Throwdown, Torium Pro, LATAM.
- 16:36These are all of the Masters competitions.
- 16:39When you click on them,
- 16:40like here's Legends, here's the date,
- 16:43Individuals and Masters,
- 16:44In-Person Invitation Only.
- 16:46how many people that will be competing,
- 16:49how many qualifying spots.
- 16:51And then here is all of her resources
- 16:53with links to those resources and where
- 17:00she got all the information.
- 17:03Like, really nice footnoted,
- 17:06the whole bit.
- 17:07And this is everything she has been able
- 17:09to determine up until this point as to
- 17:12how you can get to an event and
- 17:14eventually get to the CrossFit Games.
- 17:17And all in one spot.
- 17:23And she will update this as she learns
- 17:25more.
- 17:27I've also had Magic City reach out to
- 17:29me to come on the show and explain
- 17:31their process.
- 17:33So we'll have Micah on to do that.
- 17:36Micah, brother.
- 17:37Good lord.
- 17:37Yeah.
- 17:39Uh, John George,
- 17:40where's that doc go to either mine or
- 17:43data wads story.
- 17:45And there's a live link.
- 17:46All you have to do is click on
- 17:48it.
- 17:48It'll take your right to the page.
- 17:52Holly's a boss dude.
- 17:53Uh, train all of that doc was fantastic.
- 17:55Yeah.
- 17:56Holly is the, the bomb.
- 17:59It's it's ridiculous.
- 18:03you can see there's legends there's magic
- 18:05city there's the online semis there's the
- 18:08french throwdown there's torian pro and
- 18:12there's lat am everything you need to know
- 18:14even like links to the registration right
- 18:17from this page so yeah can't beat it
- 18:28yeah um
- 18:31Yeah.
- 18:31If they left a sponge in there,
- 18:33I bet it's worse.
- 18:34Yeah.
- 18:36Yeah.
- 18:38So crazy.
- 18:42So anyway, there's that.
- 18:44I wanted to make sure we shared that.
- 18:45Yes.
- 18:47Thank you, Holly.
- 18:50What I wanted to talk about next is
- 18:54more Horvat.
- 18:54We've been talking about her all week.
- 18:58What is the possibility of her doing the
- 19:00games next year?
- 19:02Because I have been arguing all week that
- 19:05the only thing left for her to accomplish
- 19:07to prove greatness is to beat Tia at
- 19:09the games.
- 19:11She's done everything else.
- 19:14Whether you like her or not,
- 19:15she is a phenomenal athlete who has won
- 19:18a lot of events around the world,
- 19:21and the only thing she has not done
- 19:23is beat Tia at the games.
- 19:25Well,
- 19:25that and straight handstand pushups with a
- 19:27deficit.
- 19:27Well, she's done them.
- 19:29It's just not well.
- 19:33Sorry.
- 19:35It's low-hanging fruit, Scott,
- 19:36what you want me to do?
- 19:39So I contend now that after Rogue,
- 19:44I would say I was indifferent to Laura
- 19:47as a fan of her and as an
- 19:49athlete.
- 19:49Sure.
- 19:51The more people are bashing her,
- 19:53the more I'm starting to like her.
- 19:56And I've always been that way.
- 19:58Like I've always,
- 19:59I was a Pittsburgh penguin fan.
- 20:00Everybody was Mario Lemieux fans.
- 20:02I was a Paul coffee fan because I
- 20:04didn't want to be the fan of the
- 20:05person that got all the notoriety.
- 20:07I liked the next person.
- 20:09Right.
- 20:10And so the more people are hating on
- 20:12her,
- 20:12the more now I want her to do
- 20:14well.
- 20:17And I don't know why it's why I'm
- 20:20wired that way, but it's happening.
- 20:25Um,
- 20:26Megan says it was fun watching her at
- 20:27Rogan.
- 20:28She usually isn't my favorite.
- 20:32Uh,
- 20:32John George is laughing at me and train
- 20:35all of the same.
- 20:39Uh, Ken Walters.
- 20:40That's another reason why I watch because
- 20:42I understand the eighties slang today,
- 20:44the bomb yesterday off the hook.
- 20:48I am what I am.
- 20:52It is what it is.
- 20:54So as far as the actual topic, right?
- 20:57Can somebody taking Laura Horvath,
- 20:59for example, you know,
- 21:01that I don't say nobody seems to like,
- 21:03but like,
- 21:03doesn't seem very personable or whatever
- 21:05the case may be become likable.
- 21:08Right.
- 21:09That's, that's,
- 21:09that's what we're looking at there.
- 21:12Ricky Mack.
- 21:14Yep.
- 21:16Ricky Mack.
- 21:17I mean,
- 21:20Everybody, myself included,
- 21:23hated that dude.
- 21:26Oh, he's a cheat.
- 21:26Oh, he's full of shit.
- 21:27Oh, he's blah, blah, blah, whatever.
- 21:29Serves his time.
- 21:31And let's be honest,
- 21:32from what we could see,
- 21:34from what the outside could see,
- 21:34he was acting like an ass while he
- 21:36was serving his time, right?
- 21:38Doing the open workouts,
- 21:39even though he wasn't able to do the
- 21:40open workouts, called it out, Matt Fraser,
- 21:42you know, about doing them,
- 21:43stuff like that.
- 21:44Just kind of being himself,
- 21:45really and truly.
- 21:47And now look at him.
- 21:49Everybody loves that dude.
- 21:50Myself included.
- 21:52A lot had to do with this dude.
- 21:54Yep, sure enough.
- 21:56Big fan of Laura.
- 21:57Always have been.
- 21:58Not sure what she'll do moving forward.
- 22:00But those saying she's afraid to show up
- 22:02at events that Tia's at is laughable.
- 22:04Trust me, she isn't afraid of anyone.
- 22:06No,
- 22:07I don't think she's afraid of anyone
- 22:08either.
- 22:08And I think I one percent agree with
- 22:10Justin.
- 22:10People talk about she's scared to show up
- 22:11where Tia is.
- 22:12No, she's not.
- 22:14No, she didn't do the game.
- 22:16One thing left for her to accomplish,
- 22:17dude.
- 22:19Well,
- 22:19she didn't show up to the games this
- 22:20year or didn't do the season this year
- 22:21for her own reasons,
- 22:22and that's perfectly fine.
- 22:24I don't think anybody is questioning that
- 22:28whatsoever, or if the people are,
- 22:30that's on them.
- 22:31That's projecting your own insecurities on
- 22:36somebody else.
- 22:38Anybody is free to do or not to
- 22:40do whatever the hell it is that they
- 22:42want.
- 22:43Did she come off?
- 22:44Yes, Jenny, one hundred percent.
- 22:47Villains are great for the sport.
- 22:48Someone has to get booed.
- 22:50And people love the villains.
- 22:51They love to boo the villains,
- 22:52go to a WWE event.
- 22:55Like those are some of the most popular
- 22:56people is the people that are considered
- 22:58to be quote villains.
- 23:01What's crazy about the WWE and where this
- 23:03kind of transformed is people started
- 23:05cheering for the villains.
- 23:07Yes.
- 23:09Like the rock and stone cold.
- 23:10They all turned heel at some point and
- 23:13they were just as popular when they were
- 23:14the bad guy as they were as a
- 23:16good guy.
- 23:18absolutely and yes what john says right
- 23:20there uh she is she is herself dude
- 23:28tell me yes or no laura versus tia
- 23:32at the twenty twenty six games are you
- 23:34tuning in to see that yeah of course
- 23:37that's it um vindicate everyone better
- 23:44start fearing alex
- 23:48I said that after Rogue this weekend.
- 23:53Dude.
- 23:54If she just had a little more time.
- 23:57To me,
- 23:57she looked a little tired on Sunday.
- 23:59Justin may correct me if I'm wrong.
- 24:01Because she hasn't had a lot of time
- 24:03to prep for this.
- 24:03And to do what she did with less
- 24:06training time than others was impressive.
- 24:09She was my favorite one to watch this
- 24:12past weekend for that reason.
- 24:14Knowing what just happened.
- 24:17broken leg, was going to come back,
- 24:19wasn't going to be able to make it,
- 24:21was going to do whatever the other,
- 24:23I forget what the other one,
- 24:25didn't make it,
- 24:26and then comes to Rogue and just
- 24:29demolishes people.
- 24:31Right?
- 24:32That girl is an absolute force.
- 24:35Tristan, dude, if people don't fear Alex,
- 24:37they aren't paying attention.
- 24:41He knows the game.
- 24:43Jess, Alex is a force.
- 24:47Justin, correct, Corey,
- 24:48people may not like her reasons for
- 24:51showing up,
- 24:52but the narrative is she's afraid of
- 24:54anyone is silly.
- 24:55She's never been afraid of anyone, dude.
- 24:57From the first year when she was a
- 24:58rookie and she came out from nowhere,
- 25:01like nobody knew who she was and just
- 25:03was wrecking shop, dude.
- 25:04Laura has always been right there.
- 25:06You might not like her, but who cares?
- 25:10Then he goes on to say, wow,
- 25:11to me that Alex isn't getting more love
- 25:12after this event.
- 25:13She was cleared to squat five weeks ago.
- 25:16People better be terrified.
- 25:18That's insane.
- 25:20Tristan five weeks.
- 25:22LMAO.
- 25:23Yeah, that's wild.
- 25:26She just watched five weeks ago.
- 25:28Write it down now.
- 25:29So Justin is calling his Sharpie.
- 25:32Put that in Sharpie.
- 25:34And for those who watch the Sunday night
- 25:36show,
- 25:37we play a game called pencil pen Sharpie.
- 25:39Make a statement.
- 25:40Which,
- 25:41which apparatus do you write it down in?
- 25:42Oh yeah.
- 25:46If,
- 25:48Cleared a squad five weeks ago,
- 25:49goes to Rogue, which is heavy, right?
- 25:53They program heavy.
- 25:56Comes out, finishes second.
- 25:59Get out of here, dude.
- 26:00Come on.
- 26:02That is insane.
- 26:04It wasn't even close to third.
- 26:05No, not at all.
- 26:07It was Laura, Alex, and everybody else.
- 26:11Cavern, next.
- 26:19so yeah grant come on dude man that
- 26:26is why grant is not the number one
- 26:28analyst in the space right there yeah
- 26:30check out the heat one results from this
- 26:31weekend i think that's a i think i
- 26:37think you got a fair argument at this
- 26:38point scott number one shot caller right
- 26:43here in the media space
- 26:46And I said the week before that the
- 26:48three men who had the most motivation to
- 26:50do well at Rogue and why I'm putting
- 26:52them on the podium were Jeff Adler,
- 26:58Justin Medeiros, James Sprague.
- 27:00One, two, four.
- 27:02Let me tell you something.
- 27:04And I know people have been saying that,
- 27:05but I'm going to say it myself again.
- 27:07People better pay attention to Justin
- 27:09Medeiros.
- 27:12Yeah.
- 27:13People better pay attention to Justin
- 27:15Medeiros.
- 27:18Grant, I know you don't like Alex, bro.
- 27:21So keep creating motivation.
- 27:24How can you not like Alex?
- 27:26I've never seen a video with her or
- 27:28an interaction with her that was anything
- 27:30but like positive on the up and up.
- 27:34Like she seems like everybody's little
- 27:38sister, dude.
- 27:38Like she's amazing.
- 27:41She's definitely one of my favorite
- 27:42females in the group for sure.
- 27:46It's all right.
- 27:47We need hot takes too.
- 27:49Just like we need villains.
- 27:51If you need hot takes,
- 27:52Grant is definitely your go-to guy.
- 27:54You can write that down.
- 27:54Yeah.
- 27:56Well, Grant and Saban.
- 28:00I don't forget Gabby,
- 28:01but Gabby had won good games and not
- 28:05everybody was there.
- 28:10And poor Gabby.
- 28:14She needs to get healthy.
- 28:22Not one?
- 28:24Name another.
- 28:29She just got second at Rogue, Grant.
- 28:31What more do you want after coming off
- 28:33a car crash?
- 28:37Pam, see me with the mic drop.
- 28:39Yeah.
- 28:39I mean, dude.
- 28:47capital people who are getting major
- 28:48clients yeah whatever dude uh big big fan
- 28:54of justin not sure if you can call
- 28:56him a dark horse or a sleeper but
- 28:58he's coming so he's in a weird dark
- 29:01horse or a sleeper for sure no but
- 29:05but people he wins two consecutive right
- 29:10and then whatever
- 29:13has a couple of down years,
- 29:14for all intents and purposes,
- 29:15and now you see him coming back up.
- 29:18And what he did at Rogue over the
- 29:19weekend was how he won the games both
- 29:21times.
- 29:22Wasn't real flashy.
- 29:24Didn't necessarily have to win any events
- 29:26or anything like that.
- 29:27Was just consistent.
- 29:30I mean, dude.
- 29:34Oh, man.
- 29:35The back and forth is just too much.
- 29:41Let's go.
- 29:42Alex has beaten Olivia in every
- 29:43competition they have ever been in.
- 29:44That's hilarious.
- 29:45You have her behind Olivia.
- 29:47Laughing my effing ass off.
- 29:51Olivia is nineteen, Justin.
- 29:54Alex is twenty-four, dude.
- 30:02Take a gummy like you told me.
- 30:09Young athletes don't have exponential
- 30:11increase in performance across time.
- 30:13They just peak earlier.
- 30:20So, all right.
- 30:24So my next topic is all the withdrawals
- 30:29at the WFP.
- 30:34Bad month or bad sign?
- 30:39So we have Haley Adams, Lexi Neely,
- 30:43Emma McQuaid, Victor Hoffer,
- 30:46and Bethany Flores all withdrawing from
- 30:48the finals of the WFP.
- 30:51You have Sam Kwan,
- 30:52who was torn in Achilles at Rogue,
- 30:55and you have Emma Tall,
- 30:55who had to withdraw from Rogue with
- 30:57another shoulder injury.
- 31:00And that's just what we know now.
- 31:03so i would take let's take those two
- 31:06out because they're injured right so
- 31:07that's injuries injuries happen haley
- 31:10didn't do a single event right well she
- 31:14had any wfp she withdrew from all of
- 31:17them haley yeah yeah so haley and emma
- 31:23mcquade didn't do a single event they gave
- 31:26those those ladies their pro card and they
- 31:28were both like no i'm just not coming
- 31:31Lexi Neely was in twenty fourth place,
- 31:34which just said so in a position where
- 31:37she could have earned a pro card.
- 31:39Withdrew and it was and it was like
- 31:42now.
- 31:44Victor Hoffer, another injury, he's out.
- 31:47Bethany Flores.
- 31:48OK, she's she got pregnant.
- 31:50Yeah.
- 31:51But then you have now two more people
- 31:53getting injured during this long season.
- 31:57Elongated season.
- 31:59Yeah.
- 32:03Vindicate there will be more.
- 32:05I think he's right.
- 32:07So my next question is,
- 32:08if you're Jeff Adler and you had to
- 32:09miss tour stop two,
- 32:12you just won a quarter of a million
- 32:15dollars at Rogue.
- 32:18Where's the incentive to go to WIP?
- 32:20You have the incentive to...
- 32:22your back is now feeling or whatever
- 32:25injury you sustained is now feeling pretty
- 32:27good.
- 32:28Is it worth the,
- 32:30the trauma of going to Copenhagen or is
- 32:33he a potential another withdrawal?
- 32:35Oh, I'd say he's definitely,
- 32:38if I'm looking at it,
- 32:40it's a risk reward type thing, right?
- 32:42Cause you know how much you've competed
- 32:44road was heavy road took a lot,
- 32:45probably took a lot out of all the
- 32:47athletes.
- 32:48What Justin says right there makes a lot
- 32:51of sense to me.
- 32:56it's going to be a least-prioritized
- 32:57confidence season.
- 32:58It's right before the Open at this point,
- 33:01timeline-wise.
- 33:04Just road just finished.
- 33:06Who wants to travel and compete the week
- 33:09of Christmas?
- 33:12Justin says, unfortunately,
- 33:13I think the final stage of WP will
- 33:14be the least-prioritized confidence
- 33:16season.
- 33:17Athletes are ready for a break.
- 33:19And to be able to focus on next
- 33:20season, that it's just the way it is.
- 33:23Yeah.
- 33:24That's a common sense take.
- 33:26Thank you, Mr. Collar.
- 33:30Yeah.
- 33:30I,
- 33:30I'm just looking at it from like the
- 33:32perspective of some of these athletes who,
- 33:36you know, Jeff,
- 33:37Jeff looked broken halfway through rogue
- 33:40as a person who didn't know if his
- 33:42body was going to finish the weekend.
- 33:43Right.
- 33:45And then it held up and then you
- 33:46had like a new confident Jeff at the
- 33:48end of the weekend.
- 33:51If you're him,
- 33:53do you want to take a couple months
- 33:55off to be ready for the next season
- 33:57in a healthy fashion?
- 33:59Or do you want to try to get
- 34:00a pro card?
- 34:03I think it's a valid question for a
- 34:05lot of athletes.
- 34:08I think it's a valid question.
- 34:09I think, like Justin was saying,
- 34:10I think it's kind of a no-brainer.
- 34:12And what Travis is adding about, you know,
- 34:13it's also right at Christmas time.
- 34:15People want to be with their families,
- 34:17you know.
- 34:18Yeah.
- 34:19It's a lot, dude.
- 34:21It's a whole lot physically, mentally,
- 34:24emotionally, you know, they were,
- 34:26you already saw people or heard,
- 34:29heard people, I should say,
- 34:30like Dallin and talking about being, uh,
- 34:32in the warmup area and just didn't feel
- 34:34like it mattered when they were in
- 34:36Phoenix.
- 34:38Right.
- 34:38They were just like, eh,
- 34:40kind of sending it in at that point
- 34:41because they knew they were getting a
- 34:42paycheck.
- 34:42Well,
- 34:43all these guys have already gotten
- 34:44paychecks.
- 34:46So unless their sponsors are making them
- 34:48kind of like making them show up, like,
- 34:50Hey,
- 34:51I need you to go be out there
- 34:52and kind of represent the brand and
- 34:53whatnot.
- 34:55Why would you care?
- 34:56No, I'm not going.
- 34:59No, I'm not going.
- 35:00No, I'm not going.
- 35:02I just don't.
- 35:03I just don't.
- 35:04I don't, I don't see it.
- 35:05I really, really don't.
- 35:07I don't see where it makes sense.
- 35:10I do wish there was a way we
- 35:12could come up with a format that allows
- 35:16these athletes to make money throughout
- 35:17the season.
- 35:21But I think this prestige that ninety
- 35:27percent of the athletes put the CrossFit
- 35:29Games at that has to still remain
- 35:32priority.
- 35:34being fittest on earth crown fittest on
- 35:36earth means more than anything else right
- 35:39now and it will for a very long
- 35:40time and I think CrossFit is also helping
- 35:45out by hey this is where the game
- 35:47is going to be this is when the
- 35:48game is going to be now like we
- 35:50know in November this is where all the
- 35:51semifinals are going to be this is how
- 35:53we can decide you're going to qualify this
- 35:54year all that's already laid out I think
- 35:57the only thing we don't have right now
- 35:58is a rule book correct me if I'm
- 36:00wrong
- 36:02And that usually comes out right around,
- 36:03you know, first of the year,
- 36:04but not when they kind of adjust whatever
- 36:06they need to adjust and then put it
- 36:07out there.
- 36:07Everything else has been early this year.
- 36:09So I'm hoping rule book is early this
- 36:10year too.
- 36:12Well, if it's on track,
- 36:14if it's on point where everything else has
- 36:15been going on, then yeah,
- 36:16it should be out shortly.
- 36:18I would think.
- 36:20Especially after that beatdown at Rogue.
- 36:22I can tell you the next five weeks,
- 36:23Alex won't touch a load over eighty
- 36:25percent.
- 36:26We'll run and swim a ton.
- 36:28I would assume most athletes will do the
- 36:30same.
- 36:31If they are smart, Mr. Cutler, yes,
- 36:32they will.
- 36:36Jeff seems very calculated.
- 36:37More than likely withdrawal.
- 36:39He wants to win the games.
- 36:41Yeah.
- 36:42And Caroline Lambre said, like,
- 36:46they have to look at where they can
- 36:47make the most money.
- 36:50And if you're Jeff Adler and you've won
- 36:53the games and you've won Rogue,
- 36:55like that's where the big money is.
- 36:58If you can sell those two boxes every
- 37:00year.
- 37:01It's only where the big prestige is.
- 37:04Yeah.
- 37:05talk to any one of those guys that
- 37:06was at Rogue like the majority of them
- 37:08were like oh yeah no Rogue circling my
- 37:09calendar every year like I'm going to
- 37:11Rogue I want to go do Rogue no
- 37:13matter where it's at I mean it was
- 37:14in Aberdeen Scotland in the past two years
- 37:16and they were more than happy to go
- 37:17all the way out there but I understand
- 37:19like the weather this year was terrible
- 37:21outside well because they're they're
- 37:23compensated to go yeah like Rogue is just
- 37:27a different animal
- 37:31haven't seen the hwp video yet hbo hwpo
- 37:34video yet but i will look i have
- 37:37done you know i watched pretty much
- 37:41anything that's got miss kazan on it i
- 37:42think she's fantastic but yeah i don't see
- 37:47i see it getting worse before it gets
- 37:48better as far as the wwp thing is
- 37:50concerned with with with with withdrawals
- 37:54and people just pulling out
- 37:59I don't think it means as much right
- 38:01now to the majority of them.
- 38:05The higher level ones.
- 38:06Does that make sense?
- 38:10I just don't see where it's...
- 38:12It's not the games.
- 38:14It's not Rogue.
- 38:16Is it a big competition?
- 38:17Sure.
- 38:18Why?
- 38:18Because they made it a big competition.
- 38:20Because they had enough money to throw
- 38:21behind it to have this big production and
- 38:23have all these...
- 38:25lights and the you know the broadcast and
- 38:28all this other stuff but you can you
- 38:32can throw money at something and make it
- 38:34look really really cool and it still
- 38:35doesn't mean anything because it's kind of
- 38:37empty and it's kind of hollow and again
- 38:42and let's have the final we're going to
- 38:43have them uh same week as christmas uh
- 38:45same week as what
- 38:52Will WFP backfill with challengers?
- 38:54If so,
- 38:55challengers that didn't do Rogue would be
- 38:56fresh.
- 39:01He's not wrong.
- 39:02Who are those people?
- 39:06At this point,
- 39:06the backfills are like Emily Lugman.
- 39:10I don't think that's a threat to the
- 39:12people at the top.
- 39:13No, not at all.
- 39:23Whoever Rogue hired for the graphics
- 39:25package needs to be hired by the games
- 39:28and everybody else who can afford them.
- 39:30Anybody else who can afford them.
- 39:35Savannah was talking about it the other
- 39:36day and talking about how expensive that
- 39:37shit probably was.
- 39:38Or maybe it was Chase.
- 39:39I don't remember.
- 39:40I think it was Chase was saying how
- 39:41much expensive that stuff probably was.
- 39:44But holy crap, it was cool.
- 39:47Yeah.
- 39:48Sorry, guys.
- 39:49The fungal colony is moving into my
- 39:50throat.
- 39:51It's dropping in.
- 39:54It's dropping in the sky.
- 39:55Yeah, the graphics, like the whole thing,
- 40:05that it was so fun to watch.
- 40:07It was so fun to watch.
- 40:09To the point where, like,
- 40:09I would literally,
- 40:11I'd have it on TV at home,
- 40:12and I had a lot of running around
- 40:13on Saturday.
- 40:13I'd pause it wherever it was at.
- 40:18come back and instead of like oh i'm
- 40:20gonna catch up no i'm just gonna pick
- 40:21it up right from where i was and
- 40:23just wasn't paying attention my phone so i
- 40:24could see exactly like who did what and
- 40:26when like they did was fantastic i did
- 40:29the same on sunday or saturday i watched
- 40:32the first two events went over to my
- 40:34nephew's to see his new baby and then
- 40:37came home and i paused it where it
- 40:40was caught up great rogue did a great
- 40:43job the whole broadcast production was off
- 40:48Off the hook.
- 40:48It was off the hook.
- 40:51For us Gen Xers out there.
- 40:55Absolutely, it was off the hook.
- 40:58It was jazzy, man.
- 40:59I was jazzed for it.
- 41:02What the graphics did for the duel was
- 41:07amazing.
- 41:07To be able to see that whole thing
- 41:09play out on a bracket...
- 41:11floating above the floor was phenomenal.
- 41:15And then to get rid of all the
- 41:17downtime during the duel,
- 41:19that event is my favorite.
- 41:21And I know it,
- 41:22you could never play that at the games
- 41:24when you're trying to find the fittest,
- 41:26but you, you, you,
- 41:30it is so much fun to watch in
- 41:31a showcase like rogue is doing.
- 41:34And it was again,
- 41:37the event itself was fun to watch because,
- 41:41Overlog, underlog, overlog, boom.
- 41:45Like having to finish on the same,
- 41:46like the entire thing was,
- 41:51it was so much better than it's been
- 41:52in the past.
- 41:54Listen to Jenny, people.
- 41:56Come on.
- 41:57It is the three K. Come on.
- 42:01If Rogue fixes the programming,
- 42:02does it become the best event of the
- 42:04year?
- 42:04Even over the games, better money,
- 42:06better presentation?
- 42:08I don't think they want to.
- 42:10The programming, if you listen to Katie,
- 42:12the programming doesn't need to be fixed.
- 42:16The programming is what they want it to
- 42:18be because that is what rogue programming
- 42:21looks like.
- 42:22Look at any one of their challenges that
- 42:23they do randomly through the year, right?
- 42:25It's all power output,
- 42:26strength output type stuff, right?
- 42:30The Fifty Cal Challenge,
- 42:31the whatever other, you know,
- 42:34what they have, like a squat challenge,
- 42:37like all the little challenges and shit
- 42:38they do.
- 42:40Hold the plate in front.
- 42:41Yeah.
- 42:43All of that is the stuff that they
- 42:45like to showcase, right?
- 42:48There's also a strongman competition going
- 42:51on at the same time.
- 42:52Like that's part of what Rogue is.
- 42:54So to appease both sides,
- 42:57you're going to have some CrossFit people
- 42:58doing some strongman type stuff.
- 43:01Because that's what the programming is.
- 43:03So it's going to err towards the strength
- 43:07side of things.
- 43:08And it's been like that since they've been
- 43:10doing it.
- 43:12Vindicates his final event was big guy
- 43:14event here.
- 43:15Here's my thing on programming.
- 43:16I've never claimed to be someone who can
- 43:19analyze programming.
- 43:20I don't as a spectator,
- 43:23I am viewing this as a spectator.
- 43:24What is fun to watch?
- 43:26I understand that the games has to be
- 43:28balanced and it has to fit every kind
- 43:31of box and along the way to make
- 43:34sure we get the fittest on earth.
- 43:36Rogue is fun to watch for me.
- 43:39you, you can say it's not balanced.
- 43:41You can say it's a big guy event.
- 43:42You can say it's power output,
- 43:44but like everybody said that, that, um,
- 43:47that back squat snatch, um, uh,
- 43:53sandbag clean was a big guy event.
- 43:56Emily Rolfe finished top five.
- 43:59Yeah, she did.
- 43:59Like she debunked that in a quick hurry.
- 44:02That's a shock the world for her.
- 44:06Um,
- 44:08It's just fun to watch for me.
- 44:10And maybe it's because I am a big
- 44:12guy.
- 44:12And maybe I can relate to some of
- 44:14the stuff more than a very gymnastic-y
- 44:17type waterpalooza or something like that.
- 44:21I don't know.
- 44:22I just think they know who they are
- 44:24as far as programming is concerned for
- 44:28their event.
- 44:28And that's what they're going to do.
- 44:31Right.
- 44:32They're not going to suddenly randomly
- 44:33throw in just one.
- 44:35Yes.
- 44:35They did have one long event,
- 44:37but that's it.
- 44:38They had one long event,
- 44:40no ring muscle ups,
- 44:42tiny bit of handstand walking.
- 44:44Like it wouldn't,
- 44:47They know who they are,
- 44:48they program for who they are,
- 44:50and that's the end of it.
- 44:51And I think that's how it should be.
- 44:53It's not the games.
- 44:54They're not trying to benefit us on Earth,
- 44:56and they know that.
- 44:57I saw a comment,
- 44:58somebody was complaining about the program
- 45:00and whatnot,
- 45:01but they run parallel to the games.
- 45:04They're in their own lane,
- 45:06and that's where they excel.
- 45:08So why would they change what they're
- 45:10doing?
- 45:11They're not trying to be the games.
- 45:12They're not trying to find the fitness on
- 45:13Earth.
- 45:14They're trying to put on a spectacle for
- 45:15people to see and enjoy and showcase their
- 45:18products, by the way.
- 45:21Shana says,
- 45:22they may not want to be better than
- 45:23the games,
- 45:23but from a spectator and athlete
- 45:25perspective, is it better?
- 45:27It might be.
- 45:29Now, I think if you ask Jeff Adler,
- 45:31it's probably better.
- 45:33If you ask...
- 45:36Emily Rolfe or I don't know.
- 45:42Like I do think that like the gymnastics
- 45:46experts would probably contend it's not
- 45:50better because they don't have a chance
- 45:51maybe.
- 45:53But I think the way they're treated is
- 45:55better.
- 45:57Because they are given a stipend to
- 45:59travel.
- 46:00The paydays are big.
- 46:02Everybody gets money.
- 46:03That doesn't happen at the games.
- 46:06But it's only a twenty person field where
- 46:07the games is a thirty person field.
- 46:10So you have to give them that as
- 46:11well.
- 46:14It's its own thing.
- 46:19And look, they keep showing up.
- 46:22The athletes keep showing up.
- 46:24Nobody's withdrawing from Rogue unless
- 46:25they absolutely have to.
- 46:26They're not withdrawing from Rogue or not
- 46:28participating in it simply because.
- 46:31They might show up and phone it in.
- 46:34Not picking no names out here,
- 46:35but seeing a little bit of that going
- 46:38on.
- 46:39Sean in Oregon,
- 46:40the primary objective of Rogue is to sell
- 46:42Rogue.
- 46:43If you listen to Katie,
- 46:44and I have no reason not to believe
- 46:46her,
- 46:46the primary objective of Rogue is to give
- 46:49a showcase, to treat the athletes well,
- 46:53and to put on a show.
- 46:55And I think if anybody would know...
- 46:56A marketing piece will take care of
- 46:58itself.
- 47:00They don't need a marketing piece at this
- 47:01point.
- 47:04You can go in damn near anywhere.
- 47:05Any gym, anywhere around here,
- 47:07you will find some sort of rope equipment
- 47:09somewhere.
- 47:11Our entire rig is rope.
- 47:13I think all our wall bars are rope.
- 47:16We have several rope barbells, plates.
- 47:21Travis, I do not believe so.
- 47:22If you look at the breakdown of in-person
- 47:26semis, and it's still .
- 47:27Yeah.
- 47:30Tristan's got a solid point right there.
- 47:31Yep.
- 47:33Complaining about rogue programming is
- 47:34like complaining about crash programming.
- 47:37You knew what it was going to be.
- 47:40Straight up.
- 47:41And everybody knows if you go to crash,
- 47:43it's going to be odd objects.
- 47:45It's going to be funky gymnastics.
- 47:47And you're going to get to play with
- 47:48things you don't get to play with at
- 47:50any other competition.
- 47:57And rogue,
- 47:57you know it's going to be a power
- 47:58output event.
- 48:00You're probably not going to get a ton
- 48:01of gymnastics.
- 48:03if you do they're gonna they're gonna be
- 48:05funky in a different kind of way because
- 48:06those log muscle ups look awkward as yep
- 48:12yeah they don't try to pretend to be
- 48:13something else to trick you into coming in
- 48:15yeah like
- 48:17They know who they are.
- 48:19And isn't that what makes people
- 48:22successful?
- 48:23Identify who you are.
- 48:25Identify what your strengths are.
- 48:27And just move forward unabashedly.
- 48:30A hundred percent.
- 48:31And wearing it on their chest.
- 48:34And JR does that with Crash.
- 48:37And Katie does that with Rogue.
- 48:38A hundred percent.
- 48:45Never happened, Travis.
- 48:45Never happened.
- 48:48Katie is never going to take her finger
- 48:49off that.
- 48:52Not at all.
- 48:54Not at all.
- 48:56She's awesome.
- 48:57That would be like J.R.
- 48:59letting Taylor program crash.
- 49:02Which is also never going to happen.
- 49:04Right.
- 49:07That is J.R.
- 49:07's event.
- 49:08He wants to program it.
- 49:10Nobody else is going to do it.
- 49:11And Katie is going to feel the same
- 49:13way.
- 49:14Yeah.
- 49:16And that's all of
- 49:18They either know that they know what
- 49:23they're doing or they think they know what
- 49:24they're doing.
- 49:26Listen, I'm okay with Dave programming.
- 49:29I'm okay with JR programming.
- 49:30I'm okay with Katie programming.
- 49:32I just don't want Bob and Joe to
- 49:33program.
- 49:35I'll let you know in a couple weeks.
- 49:39I'll let you know in a couple weeks.
- 49:41That is it.
- 49:43That is where I put my stake in
- 49:45the ground.
- 49:47Let's just stop that nonsense.
- 49:51Again.
- 49:52Del Mar will be programmed by them.
- 49:58They're only taking twenty in my age
- 49:59group.
- 50:05Wow.
- 50:09All right.
- 50:10Not for December.
- 50:11For next year.
- 50:13For the semifinal.
- 50:13Yeah.
- 50:14Yep.
- 50:18Yeah,
- 50:19but Magic City is not that far from
- 50:20you.
- 50:21Six hours.
- 50:23Yep.
- 50:25If you're under eight,
- 50:26that's drivable and makes it so much
- 50:28easier to get to.
- 50:30Oh, God, yeah.
- 50:32God, yes.
- 50:34No, I would much rather...
- 50:37Let me tell you,
- 50:37this is how close it is.
- 50:38I am putting my foot down.
- 50:41Absolutely not.
- 50:42No,
- 50:43you can't go by Larry because Larry wants
- 50:45it heavy.
- 50:45I don't care if it was the endurance
- 50:47games.
- 50:48At least it had a theme.
- 50:49At least it knew what it was,
- 50:50and it made sense in its entirety.
- 50:53Whether Larry Young or not is a different
- 50:55thing.
- 50:56Larry Young wants it heavy.
- 50:58The Bob and Joe show doesn't make sense.
- 51:06We've done some weird stuff.
- 51:11Sorry.
- 51:11Love you, Larry.
- 51:11Love you.
- 51:12And I know that you would love a
- 51:14rogue programmed event.
- 51:16I know it.
- 51:18But no way.
- 51:23No way.
- 51:25Sitting through two Masters games in
- 51:28person, talking to the athletes, trust me,
- 51:33you don't want that.
- 51:38Some strong opinions were voiced.
- 51:43Yeah.
- 51:45What's funny is like I took all those
- 51:46strong opinions out of the documentary
- 51:49because I was trying to build a
- 51:50relationship so I could keep doing those
- 51:52behind the scenes.
- 51:54What good did that do me?
- 51:56None.
- 51:58None.
- 52:01Because they don't want third party people
- 52:02around.
- 52:10i'm not i'm not sure grubb did like
- 52:12it all but because he wins he puts
- 52:15on the face that he does jason grove
- 52:19it comes he's very diplomatic he's very
- 52:25diplomatic and good for him on that like
- 52:28he's got he had uh joe on the
- 52:32other day on his podcast talking about the
- 52:34upcoming what not this legends i'm going
- 52:36to but the semi-final he had uh
- 52:43Magic City Games guy.
- 52:45Micah.
- 52:46Micah.
- 52:46I keep wanting to say Jonah,
- 52:47and I know that's not right.
- 52:49He had Micah on right before then,
- 52:51like a day or two before then,
- 52:53talking about it,
- 52:53and he is very complimentary,
- 52:57very diplomatic, very positive,
- 53:00because he wants people to come back and
- 53:01get on his show again.
- 53:02Why wouldn't he?
- 53:04I didn't want to dive into this,
- 53:06but Grubb is programming the Legends
- 53:08Championship in December.
- 53:10I'm aware.
- 53:11That is Bob and Joe's baby.
- 53:13Yes, it is.
- 53:16If Grubb comes out and says he doesn't
- 53:18like their programming,
- 53:20what kind of business does he get on
- 53:22the backside to work with them in the
- 53:25future?
- 53:27You go to any Masters competition and
- 53:29Boulder Athlete has a huge booth with a
- 53:33ton of amenities and a ton of athletes.
- 53:36grub can't afford to talk bad about
- 53:40anybody in the space because there's not a
- 53:42lot of opportunities for masters and so he
- 53:48can't say the things that we can say
- 53:50yeah and you and you have to understand
- 53:55that like his living his well-being is all
- 54:00based on his success in the master space
- 54:03and having access to all of the events,
- 54:06and if he badmouths any of it,
- 54:10he loses that.
- 54:14He's definitely tied.
- 54:15You know what, Tristan?
- 54:26Uh, Larry says, I really,
- 54:28really don't see why it's so hard to
- 54:29have one long,
- 54:30one heavy and a ton of CrossFit.
- 54:32I'm okay with that on a long weekend.
- 54:35It depends on how many days and how
- 54:36many events.
- 54:37Yeah.
- 54:42People get real pissy when you critique
- 54:43their programming.
- 54:44Trust me.
- 54:47Even if they ask you to Tristan,
- 54:50which I'm sure you know about that as
- 54:51well.
- 54:53Like, sometimes, because I've got, hey,
- 54:54man, can you look at this?
- 54:55I've had a couple friends of mine that
- 54:57have written stuff.
- 54:58Absolutely.
- 54:59And you go, well,
- 55:00maybe this instead of that.
- 55:02Maybe move this around,
- 55:03whatever the case may be.
- 55:05Oh, man, well, we already tested it.
- 55:06Well,
- 55:06then why did you ask me any questions?
- 55:10Like, if you want an answer,
- 55:14I have answers.
- 55:16You might not like them,
- 55:17but I want to have answers.
- 55:20My own opinions, that's for darn sure.
- 55:25All right, guys.
- 55:25Well, I need to get back to work.
- 55:28Me and my fungal colony to get back
- 55:30upstairs.
- 55:32We have a lot of stuff to do.
- 55:34We've got a lot of work to get
- 55:35done.
- 55:39So with that, hey, like and subscribe.
- 55:43We're really close to three K.
- 55:44We need to get to three K.
- 55:47It's just a huge personal goal by now.
- 55:50And with that,
- 55:54John Young asked me if I would want
- 55:56rogue programming for the games on their
- 55:57podcast I said no but I do think
- 56:00we should always have one top end strength
- 56:04again as long as it's balanced I'm okay
- 56:05yeah now if I was entering a comp
- 56:11I would want one top end strength trust
- 56:13me but I'm not entering the game if
- 56:17there's enough events it makes sense if
- 56:20you're testing everything
- 56:23You're testing a long endurance event.
- 56:24If you're testing top-end strength,
- 56:25if you're testing a bunch of sprints or
- 56:27a sprint-type deal,
- 56:28and you're testing regular CrossFit-type
- 56:30stuff, then yeah,
- 56:31whatever setting makes sense.
- 56:34All right, guys.
- 56:37you corey for being here as always thank
- 56:39you to everybody in the chat we love
- 56:40each and every one of you it was
- 56:41a fun chat today learned a lot about
- 56:44chickens and eggs and uh fungal colonies
- 56:47so uh if you missed any of that
- 56:49go back to the beginning check that out
- 56:51uh with that we'll see everybody next time
- 56:53on lunch with the clydesdale
