- 0:09Speaker 1: We're going to the sixth chapter of the Book of Joshua,
- 0:13Speaker 1: chapter twenty, chapter twenty through verse twenty five, and I'm
- 0:17Speaker 1: going to be reading it out of the NIV, and
- 0:19Speaker 1: you follow along with us as we go into the
- 0:22Speaker 1: Word of God. Glory to God. I'll give you a
- 0:25Speaker 1: minute to find it. Minutes up.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Ah.
- 0:34Speaker 1: I hope you feel good tonight. Glory to God. I'm
- 0:38Speaker 1: feeling good tonight. Thank you Jesus. I walked in here
- 0:43Speaker 1: and didn't have to roll. Thank you, Jesus. I came
- 0:47Speaker 1: in here, nobody had to carry me. I'm feeling good tonight.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Thank you Jesus. I'm standing on both my feet tonight.
- 0:55Speaker 1: I'm feeling good tonight. I can see you, I can
- 0:59Speaker 1: hear you, can feel you. I'm blessed. Glory to God.
- 1:03Speaker 1: See you don't call that a blessing until something compromises
- 1:06Speaker 1: in and then you're on your knees. Friend, Oh God,
- 1:09Speaker 1: if you just give me my sight back. But while
- 1:12Speaker 1: you got it, you ought to give God the praise
- 1:15Speaker 1: for what you've got.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Right now, Oh bless it's our name.
- 1:22Speaker 1: We are in the sixth chapter of the Book of Joshua,
- 1:27Speaker 1: standing on the precipice of a revolution. We are standing
- 1:33Speaker 1: right on the apex of an invasion where the people
- 1:38Speaker 1: of God are getting ready to invade and take over territory.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Look at your neighbors, say, I'm getting ready to take
- 1:45Speaker 1: over territory. Glory to God. I'm not just gonna occupy.
- 1:50Speaker 1: I'm gonna take over territory. I'm getting ready to go
- 1:54Speaker 1: into expansion. I'm getting ready to go into increase. I'm
- 1:59Speaker 1: getting ready to take over territory. Glory to God. Can
- 2:03Speaker 1: y'all handle that. Let's start at the twentieth verson and
- 2:07Speaker 1: see what the's say of the Lord. When the trumpets sounded,
- 2:12Speaker 1: the army shouted. Listen at that closely. When the trumpets sounded,
- 2:18Speaker 1: the army shouted. Never heard of a shouting army before. Normally,
- 2:24Speaker 1: when you got troops, they fight. But when the trumpets sounded,
- 2:29Speaker 1: the army shouted. And at the sound of the trumpet,
- 2:33Speaker 1: when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Glory to God. I wonder what's going to collapse tonight,
- 2:49Speaker 1: My God, something is getting ready to collapse tonight. You
- 2:53Speaker 1: might need a hard head on tonight because something is
- 2:57Speaker 1: getting ready to collapse. Your faith that's going to do
- 3:00Speaker 1: some demolition, some deconstruction, some disruption is getting ready to
- 3:06Speaker 1: go on. Walls are coming down. Look at the neighbors, say,
- 3:09Speaker 1: walls are coming down. If you're watching online, type it
- 3:13Speaker 1: on the line. Walls are coming down. Walls are collapsing,
- 3:16Speaker 1: They're giving way. Things that have been standing for decades
- 3:20Speaker 1: and centuries are collapsing now in the presence of the Lord.
- 3:24Speaker 1: They are coming down in the name of Jesus. So
- 3:27Speaker 1: everyone charge straight in. Had they took the city, they
- 3:36Speaker 1: didn't give it to them. They took it Glory to God.
- 3:42Speaker 1: They devoted the city to the Lord and destroyed with
- 3:45Speaker 1: the sword every living thing in and men and women,
- 3:51Speaker 1: young and old, cattle, sheep and donkeys, say, destroy every
- 3:57Speaker 1: bit of it. Joshua said to the two men who
- 4:01Speaker 1: had spied out the land, go into the prostitute's house
- 4:09Speaker 1: and bring her out. Now, the last time I saw
- 4:14Speaker 1: them bring out a woman to ill repute in the Bible,
- 4:17Speaker 1: they were gonna stone her, but not here. Go into
- 4:21Speaker 1: the prostitute's house and bring her out at all who
- 4:25Speaker 1: belonged to her, in accordance with your oath to her. Ah.
- 4:33Speaker 1: This is unusual in the Holy Bible that God has
- 4:38Speaker 1: the Holy Bible is talking about a hooker. Saw the
- 4:43Speaker 1: young men who had done the spine went in. They
- 4:46Speaker 1: were young men. See, I didn't know that they were
- 4:50Speaker 1: young men, so they weren't old men. I ain't gonna
- 4:55Speaker 1: bother that. The young men who had gone, who had
- 5:00Speaker 1: done the spye, went in and brought out Rahab, her
- 5:03Speaker 1: father and mother, her brothers and sisters, and all who
- 5:12Speaker 1: belonged to her. They brought out her entire family and
- 5:18Speaker 1: put them in a place outside the camp of Israel.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Then they burned the whole city and everything in it.
- 5:29Speaker 1: But they put the silver and gold and the articles
- 5:33Speaker 1: of bronze and iron into the treasury of the Lord's
- 5:38Speaker 1: Cold God of mercy. That's a transfer, you didn't hear me?
- 5:47Speaker 1: As a transfer. The entire wealth of Jericho is transferred
- 5:53Speaker 1: to the treasury of the House of the Lord. But
- 5:57Speaker 1: Josua spared Rayhab, the prostitute. Why y'all keep telling her
- 6:03Speaker 1: business like that? Just be quite the caller Ray had no. No,
- 6:08Speaker 1: They tell her occupation, her profession. So that we can
- 6:12Speaker 1: understand clearly the oxomoron of this text, the power of
- 6:16Speaker 1: this text, the flamboyant grace of this text. The God's
- 6:21Speaker 1: mercy in this text that of everybody in the city,
- 6:25Speaker 1: not even a goat escape, not a pigeon, not a
- 6:28Speaker 1: turtle love escape, but of all the people in the
- 6:32Speaker 1: entire city. Ray have the prostitute with her family and
- 6:38Speaker 1: all who belonged to her, because because she hid the
- 6:44Speaker 1: men Joshua had sent as spies to Jericho, because she
- 6:51Speaker 1: did God a favor. When was the last time you
- 6:57Speaker 1: did God a favor? I just believe tonight that if
- 7:02Speaker 1: you do God a favor, God would do you a favor.
- 7:06Speaker 1: And he Joshua sent the spies to Jericho, and she
- 7:11Speaker 1: lives amongst the Israelites to this day. Now I'm going
- 7:19Speaker 1: to talk about purpose isn't petty. Purpose isn't petty. Now,
- 7:31Speaker 1: this is a warning. All the petty people need to leave.
- 7:35Speaker 1: This is not gonna be a good night for you.
- 7:37Speaker 1: And I'm telling you right now before you get your
- 7:39Speaker 1: feelings hurt, all petty people, go to the exit door
- 7:43Speaker 1: and leave now. Because purpose isn't petty. Spirit of the
- 7:49Speaker 1: Living God falls fresh on us as we endeavor to
- 7:52Speaker 1: unveil the integrity of the texts and to put it
- 7:55Speaker 1: in context and to extrapolate from the context of the
- 7:58Speaker 1: text truth that morsels of bread that are relevant to
- 8:02Speaker 1: our contemporary society. Take the logos and turn it into Rayma,
- 8:07Speaker 1: and let it be cut to the continuity, tailor made
- 8:10Speaker 1: to what I'm going through right now, that I might
- 8:12Speaker 1: hear the word of the Lord. I thank you in
- 8:16Speaker 1: advance for what you're going to do. Have your way
- 8:19Speaker 1: in this place in the name of Jesus with a
- 8:22Speaker 1: loud voice like your hollering at your kids. Shot a man,
- 8:28Speaker 1: poor children, y'all may be seated. I want to back
- 8:35Speaker 1: up for just a few minutes and put in context
- 8:38Speaker 1: the distinctive of the Book of Joshua itself. I talked
- 8:43Speaker 1: about it last week. I won't go into all of
- 8:45Speaker 1: the elements that I talked about last week. You can
- 8:48Speaker 1: go on YouTube and you can really get a fairly
- 8:51Speaker 1: thorough exposition of the purpose of the Book of Joshua. Joshuah,
- 8:57Speaker 1: the Book of Joshua a shadow or a type of
- 9:00Speaker 1: the ministry of y'are sure or Jesus in the Old Testament.
- 9:04Speaker 1: I talked about that last week, so I won't even
- 9:07Speaker 1: go into that. But what I do want to tell
- 9:09Speaker 1: you is that the Book of Joshua starts out, telling Joshua,
- 9:15Speaker 1: I have given you the land. I have given you
- 9:21Speaker 1: the land. Now, it doesn't seem practical to me that
- 9:25Speaker 1: God would have to say I've given you something if
- 9:29Speaker 1: it was obvious. Most of the time I've given people something,
- 9:34Speaker 1: I didn't have to come back and tell them I've
- 9:37Speaker 1: given them something. But because he feels the necessity to
- 9:42Speaker 1: tell Joshua that he has given it to him, that
- 9:46Speaker 1: means that it is not obviously a gift, because that
- 9:51Speaker 1: would make no sense. If I hand you one hundred
- 9:53Speaker 1: dollars and I put it in your hand, I wouldn't
- 9:56Speaker 1: have to say I've given you one hundred dollars. He say, yeah,
- 9:59Speaker 1: I know that, got that. But this is the kind
- 10:02Speaker 1: of declaration that is revelatory from the perspective of the
- 10:07Speaker 1: fact that you have it, but you don't know it.
- 10:14Speaker 1: My God, Could that be possible that I could have
- 10:18Speaker 1: something that I don't know? Could it be possible that
- 10:23Speaker 1: the word is excavating out of my life things that
- 10:27Speaker 1: are already intrinsically inside of me, but I am oblivious
- 10:32Speaker 1: to it, and I cannot use what I do not
- 10:35Speaker 1: know that I have. God said, I have given you
- 10:40Speaker 1: the land, but you got to possess it. This is
- 10:44Speaker 1: the collaboration between the human and the divine. I don't
- 10:49Speaker 1: have time to exhaust it, but all throughout the Bible
- 10:52Speaker 1: we see the collaboration between the human and the divine
- 10:57Speaker 1: that God works through people. I have given it to you,
- 11:03Speaker 1: but you still have an obligation to possess it. If
- 11:07Speaker 1: you don't possess it, they're going to keep living in
- 11:10Speaker 1: your stuff. I have given you the land, to possess it.
- 11:17Speaker 1: I have given you peace, but you gotta possess it.
- 11:23Speaker 1: I have given you joy, but you have to possess it.
- 11:28Speaker 1: I have given you spiritual gifts, but you have to
- 11:31Speaker 1: possess it. I have given you the baptism of the
- 11:34Speaker 1: Holy Spirit, but you have to possess it. It is
- 11:38Speaker 1: already given your praying. God filled me with the Holy Spirit.
- 11:42Speaker 1: He's already given it to you, but you have to
- 11:45Speaker 1: possess it. Because God is collaborative and he wants your
- 11:50Speaker 1: involvement in possessing what is yours. Oh, we used to
- 11:57Speaker 1: taria around the altar for hours, and we say we
- 12:00Speaker 1: were waiting on the Holy Ghost to come, like he
- 12:02Speaker 1: was riding on a tricycle. And we would just we
- 12:06Speaker 1: waiting till midnight, waiting on the Holy Ghost to come.
- 12:10Speaker 1: And all the while we were waiting, he was already there.
- 12:14Speaker 1: He was already there. The Bible said, at midnight, Paul
- 12:18Speaker 1: and Silence prayed and sang praises under God, and there
- 12:22Speaker 1: was an earthquake. I hate to bust your bubble, but
- 12:24Speaker 1: it could have haddened at ten, It could have happened
- 12:27Speaker 1: at nine fifteen. There's nothing magical about midnight. It just
- 12:32Speaker 1: so happened that it took them midnight to possess what
- 12:36Speaker 1: was already there. God says, I have given you the
- 12:41Speaker 1: land to possess it. Now, this is a process. We
- 12:45Speaker 1: talked about the moat. Last time we talked about the
- 12:48Speaker 1: Jordan River. He talked about the topography of the Jordan River.
- 12:52Speaker 1: We began to understand how God removed the moat so
- 12:55Speaker 1: that they could grow across on dry land. The moat
- 12:59Speaker 1: was the first fence that separated them from any onslaught
- 13:03Speaker 1: or attack. And God allowed them to be able to
- 13:07Speaker 1: enter into Jericho because he stopped it and dried it
- 13:12Speaker 1: at the same time, stop and dry, stop and dry
- 13:16Speaker 1: stopped it so you wouldn't have to swim across it
- 13:18Speaker 1: dry so you wouldn't get muddy, so that when you
- 13:21Speaker 1: got out of it, there would be no residue of
- 13:23Speaker 1: what you've been through left on your feet. Some of
- 13:27Speaker 1: you have some testimonies in this room that you can't
- 13:30Speaker 1: hardly even share with anybody because they won't believe what
- 13:34Speaker 1: you've been through. You don't even look like what you've
- 13:37Speaker 1: been through. You don't have no mud left on you
- 13:40Speaker 1: because God stopped it and he dried it so that
- 13:43Speaker 1: you could cross over on to dry land. Are you
- 13:46Speaker 1: hearing what I'm saying? And then when he did that,
- 13:50Speaker 1: the only thing left was the wall. You down into
- 13:54Speaker 1: the last thing that's got a fall. The waters have
- 13:59Speaker 1: been parted, the land has been blown dry, and now
- 14:04Speaker 1: you're down to the last obstacle that stands in between
- 14:09Speaker 1: you and victory. I want to talk to some people
- 14:13Speaker 1: that are close. I got about ten people over there,
- 14:20Speaker 1: I got about fifteen over there, I got about fifty
- 14:23Speaker 1: over there. I want to talk to some people that,
- 14:26Speaker 1: knowing your knower, I am close. I'm right on the
- 14:30Speaker 1: verge or something. And that's why you can't give up
- 14:33Speaker 1: right now. That's why you can't quit right now. You've
- 14:36Speaker 1: survived the desert. You've made it through your dry place.
- 14:39Speaker 1: You've crossed over your Jordan you want to cross on
- 14:43Speaker 1: dry land. You've tasted of the fruit of the promised land.
- 14:47Speaker 1: The manner has ceased. You've entered into new territory. Your
- 14:52Speaker 1: spirit knows that something is about to happen. Look at
- 14:56Speaker 1: your name and tell them I'm close. I don't have
- 15:00Speaker 1: to argue with you because I'm close. I don't have
- 15:02Speaker 1: time to get into no debate with you because I'm
- 15:05Speaker 1: too close. I don't have time to worry about whether
- 15:07Speaker 1: you like me or not because I'm too close. I'm
- 15:10Speaker 1: too close. I got to focus right now. I'm too close.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Don't bother me. I'm too close. She thinks she something.
- 15:16Speaker 1: I won't even respond to it. I'm too close. He
- 15:19Speaker 1: thinks he so much. No, I won't respond to it.
- 15:22Speaker 1: I'm too close twenty years ago. How to let you
- 15:25Speaker 1: have it. But where I'm at right now, I'm too
- 15:28Speaker 1: close to even just respond to you. You can't distract
- 15:33Speaker 1: me because something is about to crack in my life.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Something is about to trumble in my life. Something is
- 15:41Speaker 1: about to collapse in my life. I'm closer than i've
- 15:45Speaker 1: ever been in my life? Who am I talking to today?
- 15:52Speaker 1: And now they have come, They have come, they have come.
- 15:56Speaker 1: They have come to the final obstacle. The land that
- 16:01Speaker 1: flows with milk and honey is on the other side.
- 16:05Speaker 1: The gold and the silver of the Jericho, of the
- 16:09Speaker 1: people of Jericho is on the other side. Most importantly,
- 16:15Speaker 1: the obedience that must be proven to God is on
- 16:19Speaker 1: the other side. You see, Jericho was the first city,
- 16:24Speaker 1: and the reason they had to offer up the city
- 16:27Speaker 1: to God is because it was a first fruits offering.
- 16:33Speaker 1: God said, if you give me the first city, I'll
- 16:36Speaker 1: give you every other one that's coming after it. That's
- 16:40Speaker 1: the first fruits, bring the first fruits under God. That's
- 16:44Speaker 1: why the Bible says that in the New Testament that
- 16:46Speaker 1: Jesus is the first fruits of the resurrection. Glory to God.
- 16:50Speaker 1: You remember, when Jesus died on the cross, dead men
- 16:53Speaker 1: were seen walking the streets of Jerusalem. The reason they
- 16:56Speaker 1: were walking is they couldn't go up ahead of him.
- 16:59Speaker 1: He was the first fruits. He had to go up
- 17:02Speaker 1: before they could go up. And he led captivity captive
- 17:07Speaker 1: and gave good gifts to men. And so even though
- 17:10Speaker 1: the dead men were resurrected, and they were walking around.
- 17:13Speaker 1: They couldn't go up because the baluble said that Jesus
- 17:17Speaker 1: is the first fruits of the resurrection. So whenever God
- 17:21Speaker 1: does a new thing in your life, he says, if
- 17:23Speaker 1: you give me the first fruits, I'll give you everything
- 17:27Speaker 1: that comes after it. That's an important principle. Glory to God.
- 17:31Speaker 1: The first fruits, the first corn that comes up, the
- 17:35Speaker 1: first sweep that comes up, the first paycheck that comes in,
- 17:39Speaker 1: the first fruits, I give it to God. When Hannah
- 17:41Speaker 1: had her baby Samuel, he was the first fruits. She
- 17:45Speaker 1: had many children out to worry, but she gave the
- 17:48Speaker 1: first one to God. And because she gave the first
- 17:51Speaker 1: one to God, all the rest of them she was
- 17:54Speaker 1: able to keep for herself. God said, I'm going to
- 17:57Speaker 1: replace whatever you give, But bring me the fruits and
- 18:01Speaker 1: give it unto me. All of that is in Joshua,
- 18:05Speaker 1: Glory to God, Glory to God, safety us, the Kingdom
- 18:12Speaker 1: of God and his rights. It is what all these
- 18:16Speaker 1: things shall be added unto you. The Hittites, the Jebishites,
- 18:21Speaker 1: the Garashites, all of them, Diamonites say all will be
- 18:26Speaker 1: added under you if you bring me the first fruits.
- 18:31Speaker 1: So Jericho in essence was a first fruit offering. It
- 18:37Speaker 1: was a first fruit offering, and it determined the next victory.
- 18:43Speaker 1: If they didn't do this right, they would be defeated.
- 18:47Speaker 1: And if you know your Bible, you already know that
- 18:50Speaker 1: one that ache and stole some of the things that
- 18:53Speaker 1: should have been given to God, and they were defeated
- 18:56Speaker 1: at Ai, little bit of old Ai. Some you should
- 19:00Speaker 1: have been able to overcome. But because of disobedience in
- 19:03Speaker 1: your life, many battles you don't win because of the
- 19:07Speaker 1: disobedience that preceded the battle. Anytime the enemy knows that
- 19:12Speaker 1: you're about to get into a fight, he'll tempt you
- 19:15Speaker 1: with disobedience so that you won't have the strategic advantage
- 19:19Speaker 1: to be able to move in and get the victory.
- 19:22Speaker 1: And I want somebody that's under great temptation to hold
- 19:26Speaker 1: out a little while longer you can stop it, hold
- 19:29Speaker 1: it back, because if you do this and get this right,
- 19:32Speaker 1: everything else that's coming after it, God's going to open
- 19:36Speaker 1: up the windows of heaven and pour you out of blessing.
- 19:38Speaker 1: You won't have room enough to receive. Am I talking good?
- 19:46Speaker 1: And so we have come down to understand this And
- 19:49Speaker 1: what we must understand about this is that God is
- 19:52Speaker 1: not giving them the land because they're hungry, because He
- 19:57Speaker 1: had fed them all through the wilderness for forty years.
- 20:00Speaker 1: God is not giving them the land because they are
- 20:04Speaker 1: in need, because He has supplied all of their needs
- 20:07Speaker 1: even in the wilderness. God is giving them the land
- 20:12Speaker 1: according to his purpose. The companion book to the Book
- 20:17Speaker 1: of Joshua in the New Testament is the Book of Ephesians,
- 20:23Speaker 1: and both of them start out, We're giving him God.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Blessed be God, the father of our Lord, Jesus Christ,
- 20:30Speaker 1: who have blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places.
- 20:35Speaker 1: They're both talking about the gifts that God has given
- 20:38Speaker 1: unto us. And so when Ephesian starts out, it starts
- 20:41Speaker 1: talking about as He has purposed in himself, He has
- 20:46Speaker 1: given it unto you. Go ready, call somebody shall purpose.
- 20:52Speaker 1: God has given to me as he has purposed in himself.
- 20:57Speaker 1: So don't be mad. It's not my fault. I didn't
- 21:03Speaker 1: give it to me. He gave me what I was
- 21:06Speaker 1: supposed to have. My brother was over there singing a
- 21:09Speaker 1: minute ago. He was singing his face off. I'd like
- 21:12Speaker 1: to sing like that if I could sing like that,
- 21:15Speaker 1: I'd send notes in and request myself to sing glory
- 21:20Speaker 1: to God. I would. I would send an anonymous note
- 21:22Speaker 1: in and say we need missus Jason, come sing a
- 21:24Speaker 1: solo glory to God. Hallylujah. And then when they call
- 21:28Speaker 1: my name, I said, okay, but God didn't give me that,
- 21:38Speaker 1: so I can't possess that. If I get envious, I'd
- 21:43Speaker 1: become covetous because God has not purpose to give that
- 21:50Speaker 1: to me. He purposed to give me something else. And
- 21:54Speaker 1: anytime you become envious of other people, you become covetous.
- 21:58Speaker 1: And the Bible tells us not to be covetous of
- 22:01Speaker 1: that which he has purposed to give to someone else,
- 22:05Speaker 1: because God might not have given you that, but he
- 22:08Speaker 1: gave you something. And you need to explore what God
- 22:12Speaker 1: has given you. Oh, somebody bring me a dunk truck,
- 22:18Speaker 1: and somebody bring me a back hole, because I'm getting
- 22:21Speaker 1: ready to do some excavating in here, because there's somebody
- 22:25Speaker 1: sitting here thinking that you don't have anything. The devil
- 22:28Speaker 1: is a lie. There's not a person in this room
- 22:31Speaker 1: that God has not purposed for you to have certain
- 22:35Speaker 1: gifts that exist down inside of you, and He has
- 22:38Speaker 1: given it to you. But are you gonna possess it?
- 22:44Speaker 1: Or are you gonna murmur and complain and become petty
- 22:53Speaker 1: and religious and sanctimonious. The most bitter people are sanctimonious,
- 23:04Speaker 1: always judging other people because they have no appreciation for
- 23:09Speaker 1: what God has given them. They sit in the seat
- 23:14Speaker 1: of judgment. God has a purpose. He has predested everything
- 23:21Speaker 1: according to his own will. I looked up purpose. Purpose
- 23:26Speaker 1: is it literally means the reason for which something is
- 23:30Speaker 1: done or created, or for which something exists. The reason
- 23:35Speaker 1: the reason for which something is done or created for
- 23:40Speaker 1: which something exists. That's its purpose. The purpose of this
- 23:46Speaker 1: black box is to be an instrument that produces sound
- 23:52Speaker 1: so that as I am speaking, I can hear myself.
- 23:57Speaker 1: I could use it for a lot of things. I
- 24:00Speaker 1: could sit on it. I'd probably crushed it, but I
- 24:02Speaker 1: could sit on it, but that's not its purpose. I
- 24:06Speaker 1: could stand it up sideways and eat dinner on it,
- 24:09Speaker 1: but that's not its purpose. What I must do is
- 24:12Speaker 1: find its highest and best use, because it was designed
- 24:18Speaker 1: for a purpose, and if I use it correctly, I
- 24:23Speaker 1: am using it for its highest purpose. And if I
- 24:26Speaker 1: use it for anything else, I am abusing it. Yeah,
- 24:36Speaker 1: So all the people that contorted you into what they
- 24:39Speaker 1: needed rather than what he had purpose, they abused you.
- 24:49Speaker 1: The reason for which a thing exists or was created
- 24:53Speaker 1: is its purpose. So purpose is not about what happened,
- 25:01Speaker 1: it's about why. It's about why. And I noticed a
- 25:06Speaker 1: funny thing about most people. Most people, when they call
- 25:09Speaker 1: you up, they say I got something to tell you,
- 25:11Speaker 1: you know, and they generally, you know, there's some gossip.
- 25:16Speaker 1: And if you're a gossiper and you're a petty, you say, child,
- 25:20Speaker 1: what happened? Nobody says, child, why did it happen? Because
- 25:29Speaker 1: petty always wants to know what. Purpose always wants to
- 25:39Speaker 1: know why. I don't know why my son is two
- 25:46Speaker 1: inches taller than me, but God purposed it to be,
- 25:50Speaker 1: so I ate my wheedies. I went to bed at night.
- 25:55Speaker 1: I grew as tall as I could grow. I didn't
- 25:58Speaker 1: expect him to grow me. I started out he was
- 26:01Speaker 1: just a little bundle in my hand, and now he's
- 26:04Speaker 1: kissing me on the top of my head, which kind
- 26:07Speaker 1: of gets on an air sometimes just a little bit,
- 26:11Speaker 1: because he wants me to know he's taller than me.
- 26:14Speaker 1: But for whatever reason he needs to be six four
- 26:17Speaker 1: and I need to be six y two. God purposed it.
- 26:21Speaker 1: God purpose for me to be born at the time
- 26:24Speaker 1: that I'm born, to live in the era that I'm in,
- 26:27Speaker 1: in the generation that I'm in. So why should I
- 26:31Speaker 1: be jealous of somebody older or younger? Because I am
- 26:35Speaker 1: called for such a time as this. This is my
- 26:40Speaker 1: I wur right now, this is my time right now.
- 26:44Speaker 1: The meanest pettiest people are people who miss their time.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Saw wanted to kill David because he missed his time.
- 26:54Speaker 1: You'll never be jealous of anybody if you might simize
- 26:57Speaker 1: your time. Oh I'm preaching good good, I'm a borrow
- 27:01Speaker 1: to raise saying and say I'm preaching better than you shouting.
- 27:06Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. God created you for such
- 27:09Speaker 1: a time as this. He didn't mean for you to
- 27:11Speaker 1: be boring any earlier. He didn't mean for you to
- 27:13Speaker 1: be born any later. He created you for the time
- 27:16Speaker 1: you are right now. Stop despising your age, stop despising
- 27:20Speaker 1: your stage. God has equipped you for the hour that
- 27:24Speaker 1: he created you to shine in. Because God had a
- 27:27Speaker 1: plan from the beginning. He had a plan, He had
- 27:31Speaker 1: a purpose, He had something for you to do God
- 27:33Speaker 1: had a purpose for your life. And when you stop
- 27:39Speaker 1: worrying about what happened and start seeking why, then you
- 27:47Speaker 1: begin to understand that all things work together for the
- 27:50Speaker 1: good of them that loved the Lord. Who are the COmON,
- 27:53Speaker 1: who are the who are the called according to his Yeah?
- 28:00Speaker 1: Oh yeah, So even if it wasn't good, it's gonna
- 28:03Speaker 1: work for my good because it's working according to His purpose.
- 28:07Speaker 1: Even if I had to relocate, even if we had
- 28:10Speaker 1: to move five times when I was growing up, even
- 28:12Speaker 1: if my father didn't raise me, even if I didn't
- 28:14Speaker 1: know my mother, even if I was adopted. God has
- 28:17Speaker 1: a purpose for my life. And when I started crying
- 28:21Speaker 1: about the what, then I can explore the why. I
- 28:30Speaker 1: am attempting to get around the fringes of describing the
- 28:35Speaker 1: psychology of God. The mind of God. Let this mind
- 28:44Speaker 1: be in you, which was also in Christ. Jesus, your
- 28:48Speaker 1: God is a mastermind. He has determined the end from
- 28:54Speaker 1: the beginning. Glory to God. He has fixed the last
- 29:00Speaker 1: before he started the first. God's mind is so infinite
- 29:04Speaker 1: that before Adam fell, the Lamb was slain from the
- 29:09Speaker 1: foundations of the world. That means, before the question was formed,
- 29:14Speaker 1: God already has the answer come on, before the sickness came.
- 29:22Speaker 1: The cure was already there before the problem arise. God
- 29:26Speaker 1: already had the answer. Jesus says, I am the Truth
- 29:30Speaker 1: and the life. No man cometh under the Father, say
- 29:33Speaker 1: he come by me. God already has the answer. He's
- 29:37Speaker 1: given it to you. But are you going to possess it?
- 29:42Speaker 1: Purpose gets into the mind of God. The strategy of
- 29:48Speaker 1: God that God never reacts, He only acts. Whenever you react.
- 29:57Speaker 1: You are the person who acted first, is in control,
- 30:01Speaker 1: and you are responding to them. God isn't responding. He acts.
- 30:07Speaker 1: He's sovereign, he's absolute. He causes all things to work
- 30:14Speaker 1: according to his will. He has never been surprised. He said,
- 30:19Speaker 1: I saw you when you were up under the tree.
- 30:21Speaker 1: I saw you in the dark and the blackest of night,
- 30:24Speaker 1: with all the lights off. I saw you. I know
- 30:27Speaker 1: what's in you. All things arenicked before Him with whom
- 30:30Speaker 1: we have to do. So why are you trying to
- 30:32Speaker 1: impress God with your religious phony self when you are
- 30:36Speaker 1: nicked before him? I know your thoughts are far off
- 30:40Speaker 1: while you're getting your plan together. God said, I already
- 30:43Speaker 1: heard it before you ever even thought it. I'm God.
- 30:48Speaker 1: I worked things after the counsel of my own will.
- 30:51Speaker 1: I called it the psychology of God. The more theological
- 30:55Speaker 1: term would be a missing. God is all knowing. See
- 31:00Speaker 1: where we get sient. God already knows, He already knows
- 31:05Speaker 1: everything from the very beginning of time. You cannot teach him,
- 31:10Speaker 1: you cannot inform him. He only asks you to pray
- 31:13Speaker 1: so you can come into agreement with him, because God
- 31:17Speaker 1: already knows. Do you hear what I'm saying now? The
- 31:25Speaker 1: reason I'm talking this way because I want you to
- 31:27Speaker 1: understand the purpose of God. I told people, and I'm
- 31:31Speaker 1: not in no way comparing myself to God, but just
- 31:34Speaker 1: for a purpose of illustration, I hardly do anything that
- 31:38Speaker 1: isn't connected to the next thing. That's a strategy. I
- 31:48Speaker 1: hardly do anything that isn't connected to the next thing,
- 31:53Speaker 1: that isn't connected to the next thing, that isn't connected
- 31:56Speaker 1: to the next thing. That's why there is a continuum
- 32:00Speaker 1: in the scriptures. What starts out as redemptive in Genesis
- 32:06Speaker 1: ends as redemptive in Revelations. It starts out with the
- 32:11Speaker 1: blood of an innocent animal, and all through the whole
- 32:14Speaker 1: Testament we keep seeing the trail of blood running through Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus,
- 32:20Speaker 1: Deuteronomy numbers. It runs all the way up to the
- 32:22Speaker 1: Book of Revelation, through the New Testament without breaking its properties,
- 32:27Speaker 1: its influence, or its purpose, because God had determined it
- 32:30Speaker 1: from the beginning, and everything led to the next thing,
- 32:34Speaker 1: to the next thing, to the next thing to the
- 32:36Speaker 1: next thing. And you're just a part of the continuum.
- 32:42Speaker 1: You're just a link in a chain of events. Are
- 32:48Speaker 1: y'all getting what I'm saying? And so he meant for
- 32:52Speaker 1: you to be born. He meant for you to come
- 32:54Speaker 1: at this time. He meant for you to be broken
- 32:57Speaker 1: in a certain place. He meant for you to have
- 32:59Speaker 1: certain It's part of his plan. It was part of
- 33:03Speaker 1: Jesus' plan that when he took the two fish and
- 33:06Speaker 1: five loaves of bread, he knew when he took it
- 33:08Speaker 1: he was gonna break it. He couldn't bless it if
- 33:11Speaker 1: he didn't break it. Because the blessing was in the breaking,
- 33:14Speaker 1: and the breaking was in the blessing. God determined, I'm
- 33:18Speaker 1: gonna multiply it by breaking it. All the broken people
- 33:22Speaker 1: are to shout me down. He sits on the circle
- 33:34Speaker 1: of the earth, heaven is his throne, and earth is
- 33:38Speaker 1: his footstool. God's got all things up under his control.
- 33:42Speaker 1: Give you another word. He's sovereign. He's sovereign, rangs, he
- 33:46Speaker 1: completely ranged. He's never out of control. He's got complete
- 33:50Speaker 1: control of everything going on at all times, in all places.
- 33:55Speaker 1: He is not just Lord in the earth. He's Lord
- 33:58Speaker 1: under the earth, Lord above the earth. That the name
- 34:01Speaker 1: of Jesus should be exalted, above every dame, that at
- 34:04Speaker 1: the name of Jesus, every niece shall bow, and every
- 34:07Speaker 1: tongue shall confess, of things in heaven and things in
- 34:11Speaker 1: earth and things under the earth. He's Lord of all,
- 34:14Speaker 1: or he's not Lord at all. Lord. I can't hardly
- 34:21Speaker 1: get off my first point. I'm still stuck on my
- 34:24Speaker 1: first point. Somebody shot purpose. When you know the purpose
- 34:28Speaker 1: of God, you stop struggling, You stop struggling, you stop crying.
- 34:38Speaker 1: If you gotta go, go, You're gonna leave me, see you,
- 34:46Speaker 1: All that left me, couldn't stay, all that stayed, couldn't leave.
- 34:58Speaker 1: What God has for me, it's for me. You can't
- 35:05Speaker 1: get it, you can't take it, you can't rob it
- 35:10Speaker 1: for me.
- 35:12Speaker 2: It's mine.
- 35:12Speaker 1: I'm gonna get it. It's mine. It's mine. It won't
- 35:16Speaker 1: open up till I get there. When I get there,
- 35:20Speaker 1: the door will open when I get there. The way
- 35:22Speaker 1: will be made when I get there. The waters will
- 35:24Speaker 1: part when I get there. I'll walk across on dry ground.
- 35:27Speaker 1: When I get there, the wall will crumble. This wall
- 35:30Speaker 1: has been waiting on me to walk up to it.
- 35:32Speaker 1: As soon as I walk up to it, it's gonna
- 35:34Speaker 1: fall like open sess of it. It's gonna move out
- 35:37Speaker 1: of my way because it's for me. Somebody shout, it's
- 35:41Speaker 1: for me. When you start understanding the why, and let
- 35:45Speaker 1: me tell you, some ministers, you cannot help people if
- 35:50Speaker 1: you are focused on what they did. If you focus
- 35:58Speaker 1: on what they did, you are petty. Ministry begins when
- 36:04Speaker 1: you start praying about why they did it. The problem
- 36:12Speaker 1: with the world today we have too many what preachers
- 36:17Speaker 1: and not enough why. They know principles. They know when
- 36:22Speaker 1: you broke a principle. They know that your disciples shouldn't
- 36:26Speaker 1: be eating corn on the Sabbath day. They know that
- 36:28Speaker 1: you shouldn't be healing this woman on the Sabbath day.
- 36:31Speaker 1: Don't you know the sun has gone down? They know what,
- 36:35Speaker 1: they don't know why. What will make you bitter and petty.
- 36:41Speaker 1: What will make you miss your purpose? You want to
- 36:45Speaker 1: know why. The greatest question is why. Everything begins with why.
- 36:57Speaker 1: And until you start asking why, will never be a
- 37:00Speaker 1: great pastor, You'll never be a great preacher. You'll never
- 37:04Speaker 1: be a great orator. You must ask why. When you
- 37:07Speaker 1: read the text, you must ask why. When you face
- 37:10Speaker 1: the people, you must ask why. When you hear the news,
- 37:13Speaker 1: you must ask why, because you can't get in there
- 37:16Speaker 1: where the surgery needs to occur to make them better
- 37:20Speaker 1: if you don't know why. If you walk, if the
- 37:23Speaker 1: fibish chef comes stumbling up to you and you don't
- 37:26Speaker 1: know why he's stumbling, you'll make fun of him. But
- 37:29Speaker 1: if you understand why that somebody dropped him, you'll be
- 37:32Speaker 1: able to minister him more effectively because you understand why.
- 37:37Speaker 1: When you understand why, you say it was good for
- 37:40Speaker 1: me that I was afflicted. Had I not been afflicted,
- 37:43Speaker 1: I would have never discovered the purpose of God for
- 37:46Speaker 1: my life. Am I talking to anybody tonight? So we're
- 37:50Speaker 1: studying the purpose of God, which he had purpose in himself.
- 37:55Speaker 1: Oh I love it stopped, God, love me stop, which
- 37:58Speaker 1: he had purposed in himself. He has purposed it in himself.
- 38:02Speaker 1: He didn't meet with the board, he didn't talk with
- 38:04Speaker 1: the committee. He didn't get the legislators to vote on it.
- 38:07Speaker 1: He didn't ask Congress to pass the law. Everything that
- 38:10Speaker 1: God ever set out to do, because he sovereign, he
- 38:14Speaker 1: purposed in himself. When he said, let there be light,
- 38:18Speaker 1: there was light because he purposed it in himself. When
- 38:21Speaker 1: he said, I'll servants separate the firmaments above the water
- 38:24Speaker 1: from the firmaments beneath the water, because he purposed in himself.
- 38:28Speaker 1: When he got ready to make man, he didn't need
- 38:30Speaker 1: a woman. He said, let us make man and our
- 38:34Speaker 1: own likeness and in our own him. Because there's nothing
- 38:37Speaker 1: in the God that God needed to complete him. He
- 38:45Speaker 1: purposed in himself. If he purposes me to live, I'll live.
- 38:50Speaker 1: If he purposes me to die, I'll die. If the
- 38:54Speaker 1: car wreck wasn't meant to kill me, I don't care.
- 38:56Speaker 1: If it's a head on collision at ninety miles an hour,
- 39:00Speaker 1: the plane can crash and I'll walk away. What God
- 39:04Speaker 1: has for me is for me. I'm talking about the
- 39:07Speaker 1: purpose of God. You can't have faith till you learn this.
- 39:10Speaker 1: This is what your faith is built on. This is
- 39:13Speaker 1: a recipe of your faith. Your faith must rest in
- 39:16Speaker 1: the purpose of God. Jesus didn't teach half faith. He said,
- 39:20Speaker 1: have faith in God. Are you hearing what I'm saying? Stop? Stop?
- 39:35Speaker 1: He didn't need for Abraham to have a son when
- 39:37Speaker 1: he was strong and burrowed, because who wants to write
- 39:42Speaker 1: about that? Everybody do that. He waited till his body
- 39:49Speaker 1: was good as dead and his wife was past child bearing. Ay,
- 39:53Speaker 1: she had gone through the change, and she couldn't have
- 39:57Speaker 1: had a child before she went through the change. And
- 40:00Speaker 1: when it was impossible with men God purpose. Now I'm
- 40:04Speaker 1: gonna do it. I'm gonna put my signature on it.
- 40:08Speaker 1: You're gonna know it was me that did it. As
- 40:10Speaker 1: soon as you discover that you can't do it, you're
- 40:13Speaker 1: gonna find out that it was me that did it.
- 40:16Speaker 1: You still gotta go in the tent, but it's gonna
- 40:19Speaker 1: be me that did it. You still gotta spend the night,
- 40:23Speaker 1: but it's gonna be me that did it. Don't you
- 40:25Speaker 1: walk out of the tent with your chesthaut stuck out,
- 40:28Speaker 1: oh man, because it was Me that gave you power.
- 40:32Speaker 1: It is God that gives us power to get well.
- 40:35Speaker 1: It is God that gives us some power to get well.
- 40:38Speaker 1: He doesn't give us a wealth, He gives us some power.
- 40:43Speaker 1: Glory to God. Tumbo shah about k he love o
- 40:48Speaker 1: shudding double hold shah. Hey hey hey, hey, hey, hey, hey,
- 40:52Speaker 1: hey hey hey, tell your neighbor. I got the power
- 40:55Speaker 1: to get well. I got the power. He's already given
- 40:59Speaker 1: meiving me the power. God's already given me the power
- 41:03Speaker 1: to get well. I have the power to get well.
- 41:06Speaker 1: I have the power to preach so verit. I have
- 41:09Speaker 1: the power to pass to this church. I have the
- 41:12Speaker 1: power to raise my children. I have the power to
- 41:16Speaker 1: be my wife's husband. He's given me the power. Clary,
- 41:21Speaker 1: Thank God, I feel the power right now. Somebody shot,
- 41:25Speaker 1: I got the power. You better not walk out on
- 41:31Speaker 1: this stage and not know you got the power. This
- 41:34Speaker 1: stage will beat you to death if you don't know
- 41:36Speaker 1: you got the power. You got to walk out here
- 41:38Speaker 1: and know when you get out here that you have
- 41:41Speaker 1: the power. You got the power because God has purposed
- 41:44Speaker 1: you to be in a place for such a time
- 41:47Speaker 1: as this. Am I talking good tonight. Let's talk a
- 41:56Speaker 1: little bit about petty, because purpose isn't petty, and you
- 42:03Speaker 1: have to understand what it means to be petty. To
- 42:12Speaker 1: be petty literally means of little importance, trivial, as in
- 42:21Speaker 1: both groups are known to be petty. I want you
- 42:26Speaker 1: to think about this. It didn't say that petty meant
- 42:31Speaker 1: non consequential. It didn't say that it didn't have any value.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Just little value trivial matters. Doesn't mean that it's that
- 42:45Speaker 1: it doesn't matter. It's trivial. Petty people always focus on
- 42:52Speaker 1: trivial things, small minded, spiteful way as in he was
- 43:02Speaker 1: prone to be petty, revenge on friends, and finally narrow
- 43:08Speaker 1: minded of secondary or lesser importance, lower rank, smaller scale,
- 43:18Speaker 1: minor a petty official. Now what I want you to
- 43:24Speaker 1: understand about this that just because they are petty doesn't
- 43:29Speaker 1: mean it doesn't have any merit. It just means that
- 43:32Speaker 1: it's minor, small trivial things. Petty person showing or caused
- 43:42Speaker 1: by meanness or spirit, a petty revenge is a petty person.
- 43:49Speaker 1: You be surprised, now this is going to rock some
- 43:52Speaker 1: people's world. You be surprised at how many people who
- 43:56Speaker 1: are saved or save their saved, but they're still petty.
- 44:10Speaker 1: They're still petty. The reason I said, Purpose isn't petty
- 44:20Speaker 1: is because most religious people who were sanctimonious and would
- 44:26Speaker 1: read this text would never see that the gateway to
- 44:36Speaker 1: possessing the first city would be a prostitute. In fact,
- 44:48Speaker 1: most people would never believe that God, who you just
- 44:52Speaker 1: got through sing about, is holy, Holy, Holy, Holy, would
- 44:57Speaker 1: designate a hooker hooker to be the host, host host
- 45:07Speaker 1: for the prophet profit prophet, write me a song about that,
- 45:16Speaker 1: write me a song about of all the people in Jericho,
- 45:22Speaker 1: that God would use a harlet and place her house
- 45:28Speaker 1: on the wall. He placed the prostitute on the wall,
- 45:33Speaker 1: position her in a particular place to be the gatekeeper
- 45:40Speaker 1: to his promise. Patty. People couldn't see past what she was. Oh,
- 45:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna preach for I leave here. They couldn't see
- 46:00Speaker 1: the past what she was to see why she were petty.
- 46:03Speaker 1: People would never ask why has God put her on
- 46:06Speaker 1: the wall. They didn't know that she was on the
- 46:10Speaker 1: wall not just so she could turn tricks, but so
- 46:14Speaker 1: the spies could escape, so that she could drop a
- 46:17Speaker 1: scarlet chord down the wall and establish her bluntline. Purpose
- 46:33Speaker 1: isn't petty, and you won't really begin to fully get
- 46:39Speaker 1: God til you understand that God is a god of
- 46:42Speaker 1: purpose and not a god of petty. That's why God
- 46:47Speaker 1: uses people you don't like. Come on, come on, somebody,
- 46:53Speaker 1: be real. Has there ever been somebody that you didn't
- 46:57Speaker 1: like and God used them anyway? And you tried to
- 47:01Speaker 1: sit on them and they got on your nerves and
- 47:05Speaker 1: you knew that they owed you some money and they
- 47:07Speaker 1: still ain't paid you the money back. And there they
- 47:09Speaker 1: are shouting all over the church, and you don't want
- 47:11Speaker 1: to get with them because they two months behind on
- 47:14Speaker 1: the rent and the check they wrote you bounce. And
- 47:17Speaker 1: all the while you hating on them about the check,
- 47:20Speaker 1: they just falling out up under the annoyity. And you
- 47:23Speaker 1: can feel the annoyity, but you don't want to accept
- 47:25Speaker 1: the annoyity because you're still seeing the check. Come on,
- 47:31Speaker 1: come on, come on, come on. You must understand that
- 47:37Speaker 1: God exalts nothing above his purpose. So I'm not saying
- 47:43Speaker 1: so you see, petty doesn't mean that you don't have
- 47:47Speaker 1: an issue. It means that it's menial in comparison to
- 47:52Speaker 1: the purpose of God. Oh, I'm gonna mess with your
- 47:56Speaker 1: head a little bit to accomplish his purpose. He will
- 48:01Speaker 1: speak through an ass I know I'm in the Bible.
- 48:06Speaker 1: To accomplish his purpose, he will use prostitutes and hookers
- 48:11Speaker 1: and idolators and horrormongers to accomplish his purpose. Because God
- 48:16Speaker 1: does not exalt the petty above the purpose. That's why
- 48:23Speaker 1: He uses you with your nasty, crazy self. How dare
- 48:31Speaker 1: you sit there and not praise God? Think I'm talking
- 48:35Speaker 1: about red head. I ain't talking about red Head. I'm
- 48:37Speaker 1: talking about you and all your nasty stuff. And yet
- 48:40Speaker 1: God bless you, and yet God use you, and yet
- 48:43Speaker 1: God raise you, and yet God purpose you are to
- 48:46Speaker 1: shout the whole house down, because you know, you know,
- 48:50Speaker 1: you know, if it were not for the purpose of God,
- 48:53Speaker 1: you would be swallowed up. Right now, forget what you did.
- 48:58Speaker 1: Let's talk about what you're thinking. Let's talk about what's
- 49:01Speaker 1: running through your mind. Let's talk about what's going through
- 49:04Speaker 1: your head. If God puts your thoughts on loud speak up,
- 49:07Speaker 1: would nobody want to ever hear you testify ever again
- 49:11Speaker 1: in your life? But because God is petty, he keeps
- 49:15Speaker 1: hoping blessing you, and there you can't give him a praise.
- 49:19Speaker 1: You are to praising more than anybody in the whole
- 49:22Speaker 1: house you know you got a house on the wall.
- 49:26Speaker 1: You know you got a house on the wall. I'm
- 49:38Speaker 1: gonna mess with you a little bit. I'm gonna mess
- 49:40Speaker 1: with you a little bit. I'm gonna mess with you
- 49:42Speaker 1: a little bit. But if you don't understand this, you
- 49:44Speaker 1: will never understand grace. If you don't understand grace, you
- 49:49Speaker 1: will be self righteous and look down your nose at
- 49:52Speaker 1: other people. If you don't understand grace, it'll be hard
- 49:56Speaker 1: for us to get you to praise God. It shouldn't
- 49:58Speaker 1: be this hard to get a praise. It shouldn't take
- 50:02Speaker 1: somebody who sings that good to get a praise. I
- 50:05Speaker 1: came up in the church where nobody in the whole
- 50:07Speaker 1: church could sing like that. It'd be a bunch of old,
- 50:10Speaker 1: scratchy voice, old church mothers beating on a snare drum.
- 50:15Speaker 1: Sometime the drum didn't have no stand. The drum would
- 50:18Speaker 1: be sitting in a chair, and they beating in a chair.
- 50:21Speaker 1: And I mean, I get joy when I take about
- 50:24Speaker 1: what he done to me. I get joy when I
- 50:26Speaker 1: think about what are you done for me? I get
- 50:29Speaker 1: joy when I think about what He's done to me.
- 50:33Speaker 1: I get joy when I think about then I said,
- 50:49Speaker 1: Tod John John, you didn't get a riff, you didn't
- 50:59Speaker 1: get a run. They didn't change a key, they weren't melodious.
- 51:04Speaker 1: You didn't want a CD, you didn't want an album.
- 51:07Speaker 1: You didn't want to MP three. But the Holy Ghosts foiled.
- 51:20Speaker 1: And the reason the Holy Ghosts fell is because we
- 51:24Speaker 1: were caught up into the purpose and not the petty.
- 51:28Speaker 1: Now we're so busy listening at how good they sound
- 51:33Speaker 1: that we can't hear what they're singing about. Oh my car,
- 51:43Speaker 1: Oh my God, Oh my God, oh my car. Joshua
- 51:50Speaker 1: six messes up all my theology. I knew God used priests.
- 51:56Speaker 1: I knew God used prophets. I didn't know God used hookers, priests, prophets, prostitute.
- 52:16Speaker 1: I ain't tending you to go to no strip club.
- 52:17Speaker 1: That's not what I'm saying. Don't misquote me. That's what
- 52:21Speaker 1: I hate about TikTok. They'll take one little phrase and
- 52:26Speaker 1: put it on TikTok, and everybody be fighting in argument
- 52:30Speaker 1: about one little phrase because they heard what you said,
- 52:41Speaker 1: they didn't hear why you said it. Not only was
- 52:46Speaker 1: she a prostitute, she was a liar. God used her
- 52:53Speaker 1: lie when they was looking for the spies. She said,
- 52:57Speaker 1: I ain't seen none of them. I don't know where
- 53:00Speaker 1: none of them are. See, God couldn't have used no
- 53:03Speaker 1: church mother and got this done because the church mother
- 53:06Speaker 1: mother's shotting the boat shot.
- 53:08Speaker 3: They're in the kitchen right now, shutting out more court shah.
- 53:11Speaker 3: They sitting by the saint right now, going in there
- 53:14Speaker 3: and get them. God needed on a tramp that wasn't
- 53:18Speaker 3: a thread. She lied to protect the spies. Now, what
- 53:37Speaker 3: we're talking about, get this. I want you to write
- 53:39Speaker 3: this down.
- 53:40Speaker 1: What we're talking about is a struggle between principles and purpose.
- 53:50Speaker 1: It's not that the principles are bad. It's just that
- 53:53Speaker 1: anytime your principles become more important than your purpose, you
- 53:58Speaker 1: have missed who you're God is. There is a struggle
- 54:04Speaker 1: between principles and purpose. And when it comes down to
- 54:12Speaker 1: a choice between principles and purpose, God will always choose
- 54:18Speaker 1: his purpose. The Law was principles, and the Bible said
- 54:24Speaker 1: what the law could not do In there it was weak.
- 54:28Speaker 1: Through the flesh. God sent his own son in the
- 54:31Speaker 1: likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in
- 54:35Speaker 1: the flesh, that we might be the righteousness of God.
- 54:39Speaker 1: If God was more concerned about principles and purpose, then
- 54:42Speaker 1: the law would have saved the world. The law was
- 54:46Speaker 1: nothing but principles. You can only walk so far, you
- 54:51Speaker 1: can only move so much. You can only say when
- 54:53Speaker 1: the sun goes down. You can't do that woe until
- 54:56Speaker 1: the neighbor. Do not mix this fabric with that fabric,
- 54:59Speaker 1: the law. There was nothing but principles. So we struggle
- 55:04Speaker 1: between purpose and principles. Shouldn't we disregard the principle? Absolutely not.
- 55:12Speaker 1: It's just that we cannot exalt our principles above his
- 55:18Speaker 1: purpose because sometimes God uses people that you wouldn't approve
- 55:26Speaker 1: of to accomplish His purpose in your life. Are you
- 55:33Speaker 1: hearing what I'm saying to you. Let's go a little deeper,
- 55:36Speaker 1: because I want to unravel this. Look at Amos three
- 55:39Speaker 1: one through three, four minutes Amos chapter three, verse one
- 55:43Speaker 1: through three. Hear this word that the Lord has spoken
- 55:47Speaker 1: against you, o children of Israel, against the whole family
- 55:51Speaker 1: of which I brought up from the land of Egypt,
- 55:53Speaker 1: saying you only have I known of all the families
- 55:57Speaker 1: of the earth. Therefore I will put you for all
- 56:00Speaker 1: your iniquities. God is talking to his people. He says,
- 56:04Speaker 1: can two walk together except they be agreed? How many
- 56:08Speaker 1: times have you heard that third verse? But you didn't
- 56:11Speaker 1: hear those first two, So we use that can two
- 56:15Speaker 1: walk together say they agree to talk about human relationships? Well,
- 56:21Speaker 1: Lord have mercy. If that's true, I'd have got a
- 56:24Speaker 1: divorce the first year I'm married today because we got
- 56:28Speaker 1: two cars, we ever get down to one car. I
- 56:32Speaker 1: don't know, I don't know. I'm just saying I don't know.
- 56:39Speaker 1: It might be I don't know, I don't know, I
- 56:42Speaker 1: don't know, and we don't agree. I'm packed for next week.
- 56:48Speaker 1: My wife don't know what you're gonna wear tomorrow. Yet
- 56:52Speaker 1: we've been married forty two years. We walk together through life,
- 57:03Speaker 1: through death, through sickness, through health, for better, for worse,
- 57:06Speaker 1: for richer, or for poor. But it wasn't because we
- 57:09Speaker 1: always agreed right in the middle of the worst places.
- 57:13Speaker 1: We've had some of the worse arguments because I thought
- 57:16Speaker 1: we ought to do this and she thought we ought
- 57:17Speaker 1: to do that. So when we take this scripture that
- 57:21Speaker 1: is about God's relationship with his people, and he said,
- 57:25Speaker 1: if you're gonna walk with me, you got to be
- 57:28Speaker 1: in agreement with me, even if you're not in agreement
- 57:31Speaker 1: with each other. And when you take the text out
- 57:34Speaker 1: of context and apply it to people, then now you're
- 57:41Speaker 1: talking to the spires. What are you doing at ray
- 57:44Speaker 1: HAB's house? How can two walk together save their agreed
- 57:51Speaker 1: It don't look right for you to be up there.
- 58:01Speaker 1: Truth out of context is a lie. God wasn't concerned
- 58:09Speaker 1: about us, so you're not. Second Corinthia, Chapter six, verse
- 58:12Speaker 1: fifteen through eighteen. Take a look at this, and what
- 58:15Speaker 1: concord hath Christ with Belio or what part hath he
- 58:19Speaker 1: that believeth with an infidel? Come on? And what agreement
- 58:24Speaker 1: have the temple of God with idols? For ye are
- 58:28Speaker 1: the temple of the Living God, As God have said,
- 58:31Speaker 1: I will dwell in them and walk in them, and
- 58:34Speaker 1: I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
- 58:36Speaker 1: Come on, wherefore, come out from among them, and be
- 58:40Speaker 1: ye separate, Saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing.
- 58:45Speaker 1: And I will receive you and will be a father
- 58:50Speaker 1: unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters,
- 58:53Speaker 1: Saith the Lord Almighty. Did he say it absolutely? Did
- 58:57Speaker 1: he mean it absolutely? Who was he talking too? Why
- 59:01Speaker 1: did he say it? He was talking to Corinth, who
- 59:05Speaker 1: was establishing new converts. There were new converts in the
- 59:10Speaker 1: middle of orgies and idolatry and evil and wickedness. And
- 59:14Speaker 1: he told them, and come out from among them and
- 59:16Speaker 1: be ye separate. You're not ready. You can't handle it.
- 59:19Speaker 1: You're getting drunk off of communion. You're committing incests in
- 59:23Speaker 1: the house. You're not ready to witness to these people.
- 59:27Speaker 1: Come out from among them and be ye separate. And
- 59:30Speaker 1: I will be your God, and you u shall be
- 59:31Speaker 1: my people. Because I see you. You're worshiping me. And belio,
- 59:41Speaker 1: Why would God say to all of the church, come
- 59:44Speaker 1: out from the world and be ye separate, and then
- 59:48Speaker 1: turn around and say, go into all the world and
- 59:52Speaker 1: preach the gospel to every living creature. I can't go
- 59:55Speaker 1: into all the world and come out at the same time.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: Anytime the text is taken out of context, you destroy
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: the validity of the text. I'll show you were more
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: Proverbs thirteen twenty two. Take a look. A good man
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: leaveth an inheritance to his children's children, and the wealth
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: of the sinner is laid up for the Just take
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: a look at this, The wealth of the sinners laid
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: up for the If it's laid up for the just.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: How you're gonna pull it down? If you don't touch them,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: if you don't talk to them, if you can't be
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: seen with them, if you can't go anywhere with them,
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: if you don't have no business with them, if you're
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: supposed to remain separate from it, How is there going
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: to be a download of wealth? In our text? There's
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: a download of wealth. The wealth of the sinner is
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: laid up for the just. But in order to get it,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: you had to go in where sinners go in order
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: to get it. In order to get it, you had
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: to go in the rehab's house. In order to get it,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: you had to be entangled with people, and it didn't
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: look good. But in order to get the download. God
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: didn't promise to bless you. You through church folk. I'm gonna
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: say it again for the people in the back. God
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: didn't promise to bless you through church folk. I see
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: Christians say some crazy stuff. My physician, my surgeon was
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: a Christian. That's nice, but can he operate? My palate
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: is filled with the Holy Ghost? But can he fly?
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: What are you doing with so and so? And they've
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: been on my Twitter all high What are you doing
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: with sons? What are you doing with so and so?
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: You with sinners? All the time you got on the plane,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: you didn't ask the pilot. Was he saved? You go
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: to the family reunion? Was your drunk uncle? And you
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: steal in the family reunion? And you brought potato solid.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: But the moment you see somebody else, you turn up
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: your nose because you heard something about them. Now they're untouchable.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: Suppose they said to the spy, don't stay in her house.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: In fact, that's what the disciples did with Jesus. They said,
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: if Jesus knew what kind of woman that was that
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: washed his feet he was helping. How could Jesus not
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: know that she was a sinner woman? Glory to God?
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: And yet Jesus stuck his feet out and let this
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: woman wash his feet. Some of you are more religious
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: than God. And I hope you're watching tonight so I
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: can tell you to your face, because your two faces
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: and your phony. You work with sinners, You're married to sinners,
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: Your children are sinners. They're smoking dope in the attic,
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: and there you are, turning up your nose talking about
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: other people. How can the love of God dwell in
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: you you're petty, you're petty, You're penny, You're petty, You're petty,
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: you're petty. You don't see purpose. God use ray Hand's
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: platform to take the whole city. He didn't use a believer.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: He used the prostitute. Rey have saved the spies, and
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: in the twentieth verse through the twenty fifth verse. Now
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: because she saved the spies, now they saved her. Come on,
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: go with me, read it again and see if I'm wrong.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: Wait a minute. They didn't just save her, They saved
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: her whole family. They saved her father, they saved her mother.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: And then about them, says they saved all them that
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: were with her. Who were they? They wasn't children? Can
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: I spend three minutes on this? Sometimes you get blessed
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: just because of who you connected to. Her daddy didn't
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: do anything that deserve to be saved, her mother didn't
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: do anything to deserve to be saved. And they that
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: were with her show didn't do nothing to deserve to
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: be saved. But because they were connected to one person,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: God saved everything in the house because of one person.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: You didn't get here by yourself. When God gets ready
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: to deliver you. God will deliver you. Her brothers got saved,
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: her sisters got saved, and everything that belonged to her
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: got saved. They brought the entire family out and saved
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: everything that was in her house because of one woman.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: While you chewing on that, let me throw something else
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: at you. If you happened to be one to know
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: as kids, you never drowned in the flood because of
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: who your daddy was. Glory to God. They didn't do anything.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: They just happened to be in the right house. And
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: when God saved me, he saved everything in his house.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Lose flash. God said, I want to save everything in
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: your house, everything connected to you, everything boring out of
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: your lords, everything adopted in your family. When God gets
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: ready to bring you out, he's gonna bring out people
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: who didn't earn it and didn't deserve it, but he's
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: gonna pull him out. That's how I got saved. I
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: got connected with Jesus. And when I got connected with Jesus,
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: when God saved him and raised him from the dead,
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: I got up with him. Not because I'm good, but
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: because I'm connected. Slap somebody say you need to be connected.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: I'm almost finished can I go a little deeper? Joshua
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: six through twenty five is a profound, prolific, articulate depiction
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: of the grace of God because it proves to us
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: that God kept his word to a prostitute. Because the
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: text says, as the wall came down, the tech said,
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: go find Rahab and save everybody in her house according
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: to your oath. And God saved everybody in the house
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: because he kept his word to a prostitute. Now here's
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: my question for you. If God kept his word to
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: a prostitute, then what makes you think that God won't
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: keep his word towards you. If God kept his word
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: and was careful to separate her from the wrath to come,
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: and the Bible said, they pulled her whole family out
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: and set her outside the house of Israel, so that
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: when the city was burning down, Rayhab didn't burn up. Oh,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: at the times I should have burned up, but I
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: didn't burn up because God set me aside and saved me.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: And I'm not praising him because I'm good. I'm praising
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: him because i'm not. I'm not praising him because I'm worthy.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: I'm praising him because I'm not. Let me say it
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: like my old folks, just to say, when I think
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: of the goodness of Jesus and all that is done
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: for me, my soul cries out, letting Louiah, thank God
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: for saving me. Somebody give him pretty something a crazy praz.
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on,
- 1:07:54Speaker 4: come on, come.
- 1:07:56Speaker 5: On, come on.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: The annaughty of the Holy ghost in here. Crazy. You
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: cain't so close that you could smell the smoke, but
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: God delivered you. You came so close that you should
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: have caught on fire, but God brought you out. And
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: you old God a phrase for everything He's done in
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: your life. Somebody shout yes. Somebody shout gass again. Somebody
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: shout yes again. Somebody's goin yeah.
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: Somebody shout yes.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Ilujah. Slap somebody and tell him
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: I'm not on fire. My neighbor's on fire, my classmate's
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: on fire, my next door neighbor's on fire. But God
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: saved my life. He set me aside, He made away
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: out of no way. He delivered me from all of
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: my transgressions to God. Need the going that gray hair
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: was outside the city given God of pain. Because she
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: knew she should have been in the fire, but because
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: God delivered her. She said, amazing grace, how sweet the
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: sound that saved the rents?
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: Like me, I was like lies.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: But now town, what's blind? But now I see? I
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: need a resurphrazing. I need a rest. I'm done. I
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: need a drug addict. I need a drunk dealer. I
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: need a drunk or why no, a hord manga. I
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: need somebody been to Hell and back to Jim God
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: to pray, praise them in the snow, praise them in
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: the starm, traising in the flood, n and pay out
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: of half ride phrase she out of, I'm gonna I'm
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: gonna behave myself. I wanted. I wanted to read just
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: a little bit. Can I read you a little something?
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: The Bible? The Bible? No, this is not a boy
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: moment disrupted thinking I wrote it this little phrase. History
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: provides another potent example of the power of unlikely alliances.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: God's about to give you some unlikely alliances. In nineteen
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: fifty five of the Montgomery boy bus boycott, after Rosa
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: Parks was arrested for refusing to give up her seat
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: on a city bus leaders in the black community call
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: for boycott of the Montgomery public buses to demonstrate their
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: unified protests of segregated seating, but that led to enormous
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: logistical problems, as they would have as they would have
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: to provide somewhere around twenty thousand rides per day for
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: black laborers who had to get to work. Having a
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: car was out of the financial reach of many black
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: families in nineteen fifty five, car owners were among the
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: wealthiest people in town. Martin Luther King Junior and other
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: leaders had to call on these wealthy folks to lend
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: their vehicles to the boycott effort. King was shocked when
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: more than one hundred and fifty car owners signed up
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: to hand over their cars at a public meeting in December.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: Y'all don't hear me. At the start of the boycott,
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: the automobile was still among the prime status symbols of
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: the United States, and therefore to volunteer one's car as
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: public transportation was a radical act of togetherness. Taylor Branch
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: wrote in Parting the Waters America in the King Years
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: nineteen thirty four, the fractious classes of Montgomery negroes now
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: promised to blend their daily lives. The boycott was sustained
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: for an astounding thirteen months, thirteen months one of the
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: most impressive displays of alliances in American history. It ended
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: with the Supreme Court ruling that segregation on public buses
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: was unconstitutional. In the Bible, Cyrus the Great is mentioned
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: more than thirty times, even though Cyrus is a Persian
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: who doesn't even believe in Jehovah. The pagan king is
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: important in Jewish history because it was under his rule
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: that the Jews were first allowed to return to Israel
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: after seventy years in captivity. In one of the most
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: amazing prophecies of the Bible, the Lord reveals Cyrus' decreed
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: to free the Jews to Isaiah, and he says one
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: hundred and fifty years before Cyrus lived. The prophet calls
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: Cyrus by name and gives details of cyrus benevolence to
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: the Jews. This is what the Lord says to his anointed.
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: He called Cyrus his anointed, whose right hand I take
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: hold on to subdue nations before him. I summon you
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: by name and bestow on you a title of honor,
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: though you do not acknowledge me. Isaiah forty five and one.
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: Do you hear what I'm saying? Also forty one two
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: through twenty three and forty two and verse six, evincing
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: his sovereignty over all nation, God says to Cyrus, to Cyrus,
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: who didn't believe in Jehovah, he is my shepherd and
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: will accomplish all that I please. I'm gonna stop reading there.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: God will use people if you stop turning up your nose.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: God will raise up people that you never expected to
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: accomplish his purpose in your life. And don't be petty
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: and don't be narrow, because God's got something he's gonna
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: do in your life. He's gonna make your enemies your footstools.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: He's gonna raise you up. He's gonna make you the
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: head and not the tail above and not beneath. Let
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: me show you one scripture. I'm gonna close. I'm gonna
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: finish after this. Don't you cut me off till you
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: get this, because you gotta understand the purpose of God.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: They set ray have over to the side, and Jericho
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: was burning down. They set her to the side, not
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: just because she kept the spies, not just because she lied,
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: but according to Matthew Chapter one, verse one through six.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: Ray Have was to be the mother of Boass. Wait wait, wait,
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: ray Have the harld is the mother of Boas. Boas
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: is the one that Ruth married, and through them they
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: begot Obed, and Obed begot Jesse, and Jesse begot David.
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: So when Christ was born, ray Have the Hooker is
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: in the lineage of Jesus Christ because God had a
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: purpose for the woman who was a prostitute. And if
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: you're watching me tonight, I don't care what kind of
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: sin you're in. I'm not condoning your sin, but I
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: am condoning your purpose. God has a purpose for your life,
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: and if you give your life to him, he will
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: set you aside and raise you up and give you
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: an opportunity to do things that will blow your mind.
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: Oh this is disruptive thinking. I know I'm messing with
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: your head. I know they told you you were cursed
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: and there was no way God was gonna use you.
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: But the devil is the lie, see the stod so
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: that you can be saved, so that you could be free,
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: so that you can be delivered. And if you don't
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: believe me, believe all of these witnesses in the church
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: right now that have been washed in the blood of
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: the Lamb. If you're in here, open your mouth and
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: give God a pray. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, yes,
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: yes yes. I said, open your mouth and give God
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: a praise. I said, open your mouth and give God
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: a praise. Let me tell you something. As I prepared
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: the clothes, I was in my house and I was
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: listening at a movie. And when they started playing music
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: to the movie, I got a woofer, and the wolfer
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: always makes the bass sound louder than it is. Well,
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: my wolfers turned up so loud that when they hit
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: a certain basse note, I could feel my heart vibrate,
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: and I start thinking about how the decibel of sound
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: moves objects. And even though my heart wasn't near the wolfer,
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: the sound that came out of the woofer made my
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: heart started trembling. And when I thought about that, I
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: thought about the walls of Jericho, and the Bible said
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: that when they blew the trumpet, that the people open
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: their mouth and began the South. It wasn't the trumpet,
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: but it was the shout of God's people. And if
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: we reach a certain decibel, every wall in your life
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: is going to come down, things that have been standing
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: in your life for years and years. God said, I'm
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: gonna bring it down, but I'm waiting on you to
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: open your mouth. Be whole. I have given you the
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: city to possess the land. You don't need a sword,
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: you don't need a sheel. You need to open your mouth.
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: See the said steep to the mountain, and the mountain
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: will get out of your way for the next forty
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: five seconds. I want you to open your mouth and found,
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: like you lost a man.
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: South south south south.
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: Shout, shout, shout, shout till the tumor shrieks. Sout till
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: the tenser moose. Sohuca till the dead is paid. Shout
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: till God makes away out of no way. The powers
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: in your mouth, the powers in your mouth.
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: Open your mouth and shut.
- 1:21:02Speaker 4: Can I tell you something.
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: The reason some of you don't get a breakthrough is
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: because you always given that same old petty praise. But
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: if you would get away some of your petty praise
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: and giving him a praise a purpose, every wall in
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: your life is about to come down. If you open
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: your mouth, it will come die.
- 1:22:09Speaker 5: Oh, come down, comes down, Come it down coming, Tell
- 1:22:40Speaker 5: me down, Tell me down, tell me down.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: Hear me, hear me. Good tonight. The glory of the
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: Lord is in this face. The annoying for God is here.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: The thing that I noticed about ray have her life
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: was all wrong, but her heart was so tender. She
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: might have been a heathen, she might have been a hooker,
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: she might have even been a liar, but there was
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: something in her heart that was tender towards God. Maybe
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: there's somebody watching online or in this room. You don't
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: have no spotless record. You've done some horrible things, but
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: there's a salt spun in your heart for God. Purpose
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: is it, petty? If you come to him, he will
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: set you aside and save you from the wrath to come. No, no,
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: he's not gonna save you in your sins. I don't
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: read where we have ever turned another trick in her life.
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: I do read that she became a great great great
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: great great great great great grandmother to Jesus. And Jesus
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: was not afraid to claim her in his bloodline. And
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: he claimed Bythsheba, called a Uriah's wife, and he claimed Tamar,
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: and he claimed Ruth the Moabitis, And if you come
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: to him tonight, whether you're in this room or not,
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: whether you've been dealing drugs or in sin or in trouble,
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: or done some things or had some things done to
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: you that made you feel filthy the rest of your life,
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: he will set you aside because the purpose of God
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: isn't petty. Your neighbors might be petty. There might be
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: even some people in this room that are petty. But
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: purpose is not petty. Though your city is red like Crimson,
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: God said, I'll wash your white as snow. I'll let
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: you in my family tree, and nobody can put you
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: out
