- 0:00Speaker 1: I want to talk about gold and oil, okay, because
- 0:07Speaker 1: this is something that is very, very relevant to the
- 0:11Speaker 1: times that we're in right now. So first let's start
- 0:15Speaker 1: with gold. Right, Is this the time to buy gold?
- 0:22Speaker 1: Because you said gold is in the band market, we
- 0:24Speaker 1: see it drop twenty percent since its all time hot,
- 0:28Speaker 1: even though it went up pretty crazy, so it had
- 0:30Speaker 1: to come down eventually. But you know, ideas that money
- 0:35Speaker 1: might be flowing back into higher interest rate vehicles and
- 0:39Speaker 1: gold might be a little less attractive. So is this
- 0:42Speaker 1: the time to buy gold?
- 0:45Speaker 2: Last year or towards the tail end of last year,
- 0:48Speaker 2: everyone was gold crazy, and I don't understand because of
- 0:51Speaker 2: this war why people may not love gold. And if
- 0:55Speaker 2: we're talking about commodities, it's the commodity that probably outside
- 0:59Speaker 2: of orter matters the most. So I think with this
- 1:03Speaker 2: drop it does present a great time to be able
- 1:06Speaker 2: to buy. Normally, in stock club, I give three prices,
- 1:09Speaker 2: but for the audience tonight, I think I was supposed
- 1:11Speaker 2: to give a price last week and I did, so
- 1:13Speaker 2: let me make a fourth this week. For God, write
- 1:16Speaker 2: this down. The lowd to boat price is three hundred
- 1:19Speaker 2: and thirty one dollars and sixty one cent I'll repeat
- 1:22Speaker 2: it again. Low to boat is three thirty one sixty one,
- 1:26Speaker 2: and then a second entry is three hundred and ninety
- 1:30Speaker 2: one dollars and thirty six cent, So the swing trade
- 1:33Speaker 2: price is three ninety one thirty six If if gold
- 1:38Speaker 2: is incredibly valuable, right and if it has this tremendous tear,
- 1:42Speaker 2: and you can also make the argument, if inflation is
- 1:46Speaker 2: going to continue to pace the way that it has,
- 1:48Speaker 2: why would you get off the train now? Because of
- 1:51Speaker 2: the war it win. Gold would be more valuable as
- 1:54Speaker 2: a result from a commodity perspective, and it's been valuable
- 1:57Speaker 2: for thousands of years. So I think this is a
- 2:00Speaker 2: little bit of an overcorrection. Is there's some money swinging
- 2:03Speaker 2: into different asset classes, for sure, But I always say
- 2:06Speaker 2: sector rotation is not for us. It's for hedge funds
- 2:11Speaker 2: and fund of funds that are selling clients for that
- 2:14Speaker 2: quarter or for that year. That's why you'll go like
- 2:18Speaker 2: it's interesting. They'll say they're putting money in that fund,
- 2:20Speaker 2: but didn't tell the public that you can short the
- 2:22Speaker 2: private credit market. Be careful of sector rotations. Buy quality
- 2:27Speaker 2: commodities and quality stocks that are gonna be good for
- 2:30Speaker 2: a long period of time, and gold is definitely one
- 2:32Speaker 2: of them.
- 2:33Speaker 1: And I will say this too, there's nobody that's doing
- 2:35Speaker 1: that as far as giving you actual prices that you
- 2:39Speaker 1: can actually look at and see if it hits that
- 2:42Speaker 1: price that you could potentially buy it. You know, that
- 2:44Speaker 1: was just the preview what they're doing red pandemic, but
- 2:47Speaker 1: that was you know, gold, we'll go up over the
- 2:50Speaker 1: course of the next ten years. That we know based
- 2:54Speaker 1: off of if six thousand years of any historical data
- 2:58Speaker 1: has anything to do with it, we know that goes
- 3:00Speaker 1: up over the course of time. So once again, I
- 3:02Speaker 1: ain't gold at the right price holding it for a
- 3:03Speaker 1: long periods of time as a pathway to get rich.
- 3:07Speaker 1: It's right.
- 3:08Speaker 3: The question I would ask myself, has the narrative change
- 3:12Speaker 3: is gold at heads against inflation?
- 3:15Speaker 1: Right?
- 3:15Speaker 3: Some of the fear last week when the FED meeting
- 3:17Speaker 3: happened with power was like, okay, we're not talking about
- 3:21Speaker 3: potentially lowering rates. Maybe this is a story that interest
- 3:25Speaker 3: rates kid increased, right, and then that was set off inflation. So,
- 3:30Speaker 3: I mean gold has always acted as that. I don't
- 3:33Speaker 3: see the story changing it. Has it gone into a
- 3:35Speaker 3: beer market? Yeah, but this is what we look for
- 3:38Speaker 3: and this is when we're talking about okay, here's a
- 3:40Speaker 3: time where we can now invest.
- 3:41Speaker 1: This is the opportunity
