- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with on our radio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey everybody, we're back with the Almost Famous podcast. Today
- 0:09Speaker 2: we have another episode breaking down the real housewives of
- 0:12Speaker 2: Rhode Island. We're getting into the drama between well of course, Joellen,
- 0:17Speaker 2: Rula and Brian and get funky at Studio fifty four. Well,
- 0:22Speaker 2: it's a party that's themed Studio fifty four. We're celebrating
- 0:28Speaker 2: Jerry's fifty fourth birthday and meet Kelsey's other boyfriend. Oh
- 0:32Speaker 2: my goodness, we got a lot to cover. We're three
- 0:35Speaker 2: episodes in, Lauren, what are you loving so far or hating?
- 0:41Speaker 3: Okay, So I really enjoy well from other Housewives franchises.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Everyone is like very very wealthy, and the viewers are
- 0:51Speaker 3: like kind of picking up on the fact that these
- 0:53Speaker 3: girls are kind of like, you know, they're upper middle class,
- 0:57Speaker 3: they're not upper upper class. Like the episode starts out
- 1:00Speaker 3: with Rosie and she's living in like a she says,
- 1:04Speaker 3: like a one bedroom above a garage or something, and
- 1:07Speaker 3: they are building a home, but like any other Housewife
- 1:11Speaker 3: franchise would rent a mansion for that time period of
- 1:14Speaker 3: their house being built. So I kind of like the
- 1:16Speaker 3: realism and I love Rosie this episode, she's so funny.
- 1:20Speaker 3: She hates her outfit. Her outphate doesn't look like it's
- 1:23Speaker 3: from VERSACEI or something, so it's a little more down
- 1:25Speaker 3: to earth.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Is that strategic you think on their part to cast
- 1:30Speaker 2: people that are I mean, it's noticeable. Obviously some of
- 1:33Speaker 2: these houses are spectacular and we would all love to
- 1:36Speaker 2: own one and live in one. But then yeah, it
- 1:39Speaker 2: is there are these homes and these moments that are
- 1:43Speaker 2: not lavish, extremely luxurious. Was that strategic on the show's part.
- 1:50Speaker 3: I think it could be. I also think the people
- 1:52Speaker 3: of like Newport, Rhode Island, who are like a top
- 1:55Speaker 3: tier like they wouldn't have some projecked their lives to
- 2:01Speaker 3: this kind of scrutiny. I don't think.
- 2:03Speaker 2: So.
- 2:03Speaker 3: This is kind of over left with with Housewives, but
- 2:05Speaker 3: I enjoy it very much. I don't know if it's
- 2:07Speaker 3: like contrived.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Though, Yeah, I've enjoyed that part. There are moments that
- 2:12Speaker 2: feel touchable. I guess, yes, relatable Lauren. Before this season started,
- 2:20Speaker 2: there was a headline that came out about Ashley, and
- 2:23Speaker 2: I think the question was asked to Ashley and it
- 2:26Speaker 2: was I'm going to summarize it and also probably butcher
- 2:28Speaker 2: the question, but it was essentially, are you nervous that
- 2:33Speaker 2: going on the show is going to be detrimental to
- 2:35Speaker 2: your marriage with Jared? And at the time I was
- 2:38Speaker 2: very confused at why that question would be asked. I'd
- 2:41Speaker 2: never seen a Housewives season and obviously seen this season,
- 2:45Speaker 2: and I was like, well, they've been through reality television before,
- 2:48Speaker 2: why would this be detrimental? I now understand, Yeah, I
- 2:53Speaker 2: am now getting a picture of why that question was asked.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Yeah, because they're prying in every single corner of their relationship.
- 3:00Speaker 3: But normally I would be obviously very worried too, But
- 3:03Speaker 3: as we said on the first episode, there's no skeletons
- 3:05Speaker 3: in their closet, so we shouldn't have anything to worry about.
- 3:09Speaker 3: They're the most like honest, trustworthy people ever. I know,
- 3:13Speaker 3: everyone's like, oh, no, one, they would never cheat, They
- 3:15Speaker 3: would never cheat. But like, genuinely, there's not going to
- 3:18Speaker 3: be any cheating scandals with Ashley and Jared. It's going
- 3:21Speaker 3: to be semi wholesome. The funny thing is the drama
- 3:24Speaker 3: with Ashley and Jared is she just wants to make
- 3:26Speaker 3: Jared happy, you know, so like that's the most salacious
- 3:29Speaker 3: thing we're getting from them right now.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Yeah, if I mean this probably is going to come on.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Ashley might get mad at me for this point. I'm
- 3:36Speaker 2: sure she will if she can go twenty nine years
- 3:39Speaker 2: of her life being a virgin and then Mary Jared
- 3:44Speaker 2: after years of pursuing. I think they both pursued each
- 3:47Speaker 2: other in their own unique ways. I think we're like
- 3:50Speaker 2: setting the foundation for them to get through this.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Okay, Yeah, they'll be absolutely fine.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I don't see Ashley being like, hey, I went twenty
- 3:58Speaker 2: nine years, I've been married to the man of my dream,
- 4:00Speaker 2: but like this guy in Rhode Island that feels like
- 4:03Speaker 2: an escape.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Exactly, and can we just you know, obviously it's my sister,
- 4:07Speaker 3: and I love Jared and he's very handsome. But I'm
- 4:12Speaker 3: loving the fact that all of America is finally seeing
- 4:14Speaker 3: Jared for like the handsome man that he is, Yeah,
- 4:17Speaker 3: but also compared to the other husbands, like he's.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Crushing it, crowding it. Yeah, it's the perfect I don't
- 4:25Speaker 2: know any other season, but like this, when Jared walks
- 4:27Speaker 2: into a room, let's just flash forward to the Studio
- 4:32Speaker 2: fifty four party. His outfit was obviously very funky. He
- 4:35Speaker 2: like wore light jeans with a brown belt and like
- 4:37Speaker 2: some silky shirt that he had un buttoned down to
- 4:40Speaker 2: his belly button. Not like he obviously could have cared
- 4:43Speaker 2: less outfit he was wearing. But even with that and
- 4:47Speaker 2: the probably lack of attention he took to that outfit,
- 4:51Speaker 2: he walks into room and he stands out because he
- 4:54Speaker 2: is such a handsome man.
- 4:55Speaker 3: He's a very handsome man. As we were saying before,
- 4:58Speaker 3: the chest hair really helps. I feel like Rhode Island
- 5:01Speaker 3: is semi you know Jersey and the fact that they're
- 5:04Speaker 3: very into like manscaping and grooming and all that stuff.
- 5:07Speaker 3: And we can see by like even Kelsey's boyfriend Billy
- 5:10Speaker 3: like just very like kind of like metro and put together.
- 5:13Speaker 3: So it's nice to see the chest hair come out,
- 5:15Speaker 3: at least on Jared's behalf.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Yeah, Jared and I have something in common. We've given
- 5:20Speaker 2: up like trimming and shaving chest hair. I think on
- 5:23Speaker 2: the show when we were both on the show, that
- 5:26Speaker 2: was still a thing. We were still trying to like
- 5:29Speaker 2: man escape our way through it. And I don't know
- 5:32Speaker 2: if I'd do it differently if I went on the
- 5:33Speaker 2: show today, But there is a level of I'm not
- 5:37Speaker 2: like I'm giving up and not like Jared's giving up,
- 5:41Speaker 2: but it is a confidence I think to just say
- 5:43Speaker 2: this is this is kind of what I got, Like
- 5:45Speaker 2: you're gonna enjoy.
- 5:46Speaker 3: It, Yes, and it is the men men get better
- 5:50Speaker 3: with age and like when they stop caring so much.
- 5:52Speaker 3: I mean, this is my like taste though, is like
- 5:56Speaker 3: I love a man with crow's feet, gray hair, Like
- 5:59Speaker 3: it's just like we look at Patrick Dempsey and just
- 6:02Speaker 3: keeping better and it's so annoying because there's such a
- 6:05Speaker 3: double standard. Like no one would ever say a well
- 6:07Speaker 3: would get hotter at the age, but maybe some people would.
- 6:09Speaker 3: But I love I love a man that gave up
- 6:11Speaker 3: a little bit.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Yeah, that's nice. Jared is absolutely rocking this season. I've heard, yes,
- 6:19Speaker 2: I haven't seen, but the memes have been pretty aggressive
- 6:22Speaker 2: and supported Jared so far.
- 6:23Speaker 3: I'm so happy, Yes, because Ashley loves the compliments. Most
- 6:27Speaker 3: women would be very offended and be like, back off,
- 6:30Speaker 3: back off, but she's like, thank you for admiring and
- 6:33Speaker 3: seeing what I saw all along.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Yes, there is a moment. We've talked about it before
- 6:38Speaker 2: in the show. Jared and Jared is one of the
- 6:41Speaker 2: sweetest humans. And when we were on the show together,
- 6:45Speaker 2: I was very nervous and he had a little more confidence,
- 6:47Speaker 2: but he was nervous as well, and we kind of
- 6:49Speaker 2: bonded over our shared Hey, I don't feel like we
- 6:51Speaker 2: belong in this room. And Jared went on a date
- 6:55Speaker 2: in New York City. If it's memorable, he did the
- 6:58Speaker 2: makeover with Caitlin Bristow, and he came back in the
- 7:00Speaker 2: room and we were all all the men looked at
- 7:02Speaker 2: each other like, oh, dang. Like he went from bowl
- 7:05Speaker 2: cut and like superman, super love guy or whatever he
- 7:08Speaker 2: called himself to like yeah love man to like really
- 7:12Speaker 2: really handsome and like a span of four hours, and
- 7:15Speaker 2: we were all like, gosh, dang it. He has a
- 7:16Speaker 2: good personality. And now he's he's we see it.
- 7:21Speaker 3: He shines up like a new penny.
- 7:23Speaker 2: He does. All right, let's dive into this episode. We're
- 7:25Speaker 2: gonna start at Rosie's house. Yeah, Rosie and her husband
- 7:30Speaker 2: are washing her pink jeep. We get to see Ashley
- 7:34Speaker 2: and Jared show it for the first time they are.
- 7:39Speaker 2: We get a picture. I think at this point, really
- 7:41Speaker 2: this scene is set to get a picture of what
- 7:44Speaker 2: Rosie's life is like she sold her apartment or is
- 7:48Speaker 2: selling her apartment, you can clarify that to build this
- 7:51Speaker 2: new home that they're like really expanding on.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I know that in future episodes, this this house
- 8:01Speaker 3: that she's building comes up and they use it against
- 8:04Speaker 3: her because like she's pretending she has more money than
- 8:07Speaker 3: she does and all this stuff.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Isn't that what we all do or like what most
- 8:12Speaker 2: people do anyways.
- 8:13Speaker 3: To pretend like you have more money than you do.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, is that like all of la.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Yeah, one hundred percent. I think that's what we're used
- 8:19Speaker 3: to maybe with the people that we stread herself with.
- 8:22Speaker 3: But but yeah, I guess she sold her condo. He
- 8:26Speaker 3: sold his condo, and they're building this house together and
- 8:28Speaker 3: apparently he flips homes and this is something he really
- 8:30Speaker 3: loves to do. And I think this whole scene is
- 8:33Speaker 3: basically just to bring up just to rehash the like
- 8:36Speaker 3: the winery, and like Ashley offers nothing, and I feel
- 8:39Speaker 3: bad because like she's so concerned that she's offering nothing
- 8:44Speaker 3: this whole episode, but it's just kind of helped to
- 8:47Speaker 3: push the story along. So they're like they're giving the
- 8:49Speaker 3: rundown the winery. They're talking about study fifty four and
- 8:52Speaker 3: the outfits and stuff. I don't know, is there anything
- 8:55Speaker 3: else of note in this scene?
- 8:56Speaker 2: I mean they they open up about the polyamorous relationship
- 9:00Speaker 2: chips that were mentioned by Kelsey, and I think, I
- 9:05Speaker 2: don't know. For me, they're trying to communicate the story
- 9:08Speaker 2: of Ashley's trying to catch up. I think with a
- 9:11Speaker 2: lot of these stories, yes, yes, wait is this you know,
- 9:15Speaker 2: who's talking about what? And in a lot of ways
- 9:17Speaker 2: it's helpful because Ashley, outside of anything else, is kind
- 9:22Speaker 2: of the clarification that I need on this show because
- 9:27Speaker 2: I'm lost a little bit on like who's sleeping around
- 9:30Speaker 2: and who's not and who's sleeping with who. Ashley is
- 9:33Speaker 2: kind of there to be like wait, time out, what's
- 9:36Speaker 2: happening here? I love it. Get the re you know,
- 9:39Speaker 2: explanation of it.
- 9:40Speaker 3: That's so true. It's actually very helpful. I think she
- 9:43Speaker 3: did that at the winery too. She's like explained this
- 9:45Speaker 3: backstory to me, and it kind of just shows that
- 9:49Speaker 3: they're all really good friends when they go like, okay,
- 9:53Speaker 3: let's go way back in time. And I think that's
- 9:55Speaker 3: also what the viewers are really liking, is that there's
- 9:57Speaker 3: like so much lore to everyone's story, and I know
- 10:01Speaker 3: we see that at the end with Liz and Kelsey. Yeah,
- 10:06Speaker 3: we'll get to that later, but there are some things
- 10:08Speaker 3: that go way back.
- 10:10Speaker 2: It is a lot, and it is so much to
- 10:12Speaker 2: unpack in three episodes. I saw a meme on Instagram
- 10:17Speaker 2: of like a map of explaining everybody's relationships, and it
- 10:22Speaker 2: was it's wild to see who's connected to who?
- 10:25Speaker 3: You know, the old you know, the only sunny meme
- 10:28Speaker 3: where Charlie's like at the white cord or whatever, He's
- 10:30Speaker 3: all the string.
- 10:31Speaker 2: That's what we need, we one hundred percent. And I
- 10:34Speaker 2: still think it'd be confusing, and it kind of leads
- 10:37Speaker 2: us into the Liz and Jerry conversation where Liz and Jerry.
- 10:41Speaker 2: One thing I appreciate about their relationship in goodness. I
- 10:45Speaker 2: don't know if it's because of the comparison of other
- 10:47Speaker 2: relationships or what, but they're very open with each other. Yeah,
- 10:51Speaker 2: there is an open line of communication. It doesn't feel
- 10:56Speaker 2: the cheating stuff makes me uncomfortable, obviously, it's probably why
- 11:01Speaker 2: it's an enjoyment to watch because of the uncomfortability of it.
- 11:07Speaker 2: But the thing that makes me even more uncomfortable is
- 11:10Speaker 2: when there's rumors of scandal, and it feels like nobody's
- 11:14Speaker 2: actually communicating honesty with their partner or even their closest confidence.
- 11:20Speaker 2: And one thing about Liz and Jerry so far that
- 11:22Speaker 2: I've at least felt is that they do have a
- 11:25Speaker 2: open line of communication.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think that this show is going to
- 11:29Speaker 3: break them, Like, even if there is like cheating scandals
- 11:33Speaker 3: on both sides, I think they will hash it out
- 11:36Speaker 3: between themselves and then they're like, Okay, we're good to go.
- 11:40Speaker 3: And yeah, I'm not really worried about the relationship, even
- 11:42Speaker 3: though it sounds like her relationship with Dino is unique
- 11:47Speaker 3: and the fact that her husband is Jerry said like
- 11:52Speaker 3: take care of her a while gone on this like
- 11:54Speaker 3: fishing fishing expedition. So we'll see.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Yeah, let's sit on this Dino thing for a bit,
- 12:02Speaker 2: because it flows through the whole episode. I'm still I'm
- 12:07Speaker 2: gonna ask you some clarifying questions. Do we know for
- 12:12Speaker 2: a fact that there was anything inappropriate? And when I
- 12:16Speaker 2: say inappropriate, I guess I'm going by the traditional marriage vows. Yeah, yeah,
- 12:22Speaker 2: that happened between Liz and Dino.
- 12:26Speaker 3: I think that I mean, I would say on my
- 12:30Speaker 3: moral compass. The fact that you're calling another man like
- 12:34Speaker 3: four hundred times in a month or something, is it
- 12:41Speaker 3: is a little inappropriate unless he's like a gay man.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's fair. Okay, did Jerry though? Do you
- 12:50Speaker 2: think there is this like, Okay, here's my theory. It's
- 12:54Speaker 2: a very much of a theory. Liz and Jerry have
- 12:57Speaker 2: this very open line of communication and Jerry goes on
- 13:01Speaker 2: these fishing trips. He knows his wife. Is there a
- 13:05Speaker 2: world in which they don't want to admit to it
- 13:08Speaker 2: because this was a personal conversation they had as a couple,
- 13:12Speaker 2: but he almost gave the okay for Dino to support
- 13:18Speaker 2: his wife in whatever ways were needed while he was
- 13:22Speaker 2: out doing his thing, and they just don't want to
- 13:24Speaker 2: bring that up publicly. It wasn't cheating because we all knew, yes.
- 13:31Speaker 3: And it's like, if my wife's gonna hook up with
- 13:33Speaker 3: someone I wanted to be you Dino.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Yeah that's great, yeah right there.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Yeah, and then yeah, that's actually a very good theory
- 13:40Speaker 3: because it sounds like inappropriate. Maybe we got drunk. We
- 13:45Speaker 3: obviously see that Liz likes to drink, so they got drunk,
- 13:49Speaker 3: they hooked up and like, but how long are these
- 13:51Speaker 3: fishing things. You would think it's like over a year.
- 13:54Speaker 2: He said it. It was like every month for three weeks.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I don't know what that is. Yeah, it kind of
- 14:01Speaker 2: seems like because it seems like when they talk and
- 14:04Speaker 2: when the conversation's brought up, nobody's really hurt between Liz
- 14:08Speaker 2: and Jerry, and they're both kind of like not saying
- 14:12Speaker 2: yea something, both of them on the same team. They're like, hey,
- 14:16Speaker 2: we're both acknowledging this, but we're not actually going to
- 14:20Speaker 2: like bring it up and be like, yeah, this was
- 14:22Speaker 2: just an agreement we have because maybe they don't want
- 14:25Speaker 2: to be known as the open couple. That's what I'm
- 14:30Speaker 2: that's my theory, very much a theory, but it's the
- 14:32Speaker 2: theory that I have as this kind of conversation continues.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Now, I'm on that theory too, because that makes a
- 14:38Speaker 3: lot of sense. And at the end of the episode
- 14:41Speaker 3: they Liz was like, I want to go to like
- 14:44Speaker 3: the peer the doc with Dino and Jerry, and I
- 14:49Speaker 3: think it'd be good for everyone to see us together.
- 14:52Speaker 3: And if you are with actually with Dono, why would
- 14:57Speaker 3: you ever want to be all three together? So that's
- 15:00Speaker 3: a good theory.
- 15:01Speaker 2: They seems like they're all very friendly still, even with
- 15:04Speaker 2: the rumors. Jerry's not like pushing Dino out of his life,
- 15:08Speaker 2: and neither is Liz. Now they're leading up to Jerry's
- 15:11Speaker 2: fifty fourth birthday party, which is themed a Studio fifty
- 15:15Speaker 2: four birthday party. This is I will say, one thing
- 15:19Speaker 2: I've picked up on in Real Housewives is when they
- 15:22Speaker 2: throw a party, they throw a party. I mean, these
- 15:25Speaker 2: are lavish and I don't go. Maybe I just I
- 15:28Speaker 2: mean I thought I had a lot of friends, or
- 15:30Speaker 2: at least I thought I had a few friends. I
- 15:32Speaker 2: don't have parties like this that I go to.
- 15:36Speaker 3: No, And it makes me kind of sad because they
- 15:39Speaker 3: look kind of fun. So then it jumps to Joe
- 15:52Speaker 3: Ellen and Gary and they're kind of recapping all the
- 15:56Speaker 3: drama with Rula because Rula and Brian the cheating husband,
- 16:01Speaker 3: are going to be at the Studio fifty four party,
- 16:03Speaker 3: and they're kind of talking about how Brian called Joelan's
- 16:08Speaker 3: work try to sabotage her, and I think this is
- 16:15Speaker 3: I mean, I'm not going to jump right to the party,
- 16:17Speaker 3: even though I really wanted to, because I really love
- 16:20Speaker 3: Gary because he is like where I'm gonna stand by
- 16:24Speaker 3: my woman.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Yeah, And I mean there is an ownership here. Now. Granted,
- 16:31Speaker 2: I don't even think any of us are in the
- 16:33Speaker 2: place to make a judgment call on what was right
- 16:36Speaker 2: or wrong. And we're going to dive deep into this
- 16:37Speaker 2: conversation because it was an I mean, I would think
- 16:41Speaker 2: this as a non viewer of any other show, that
- 16:43Speaker 2: was an epic interaction, absolutely at the end of this party.
- 16:49Speaker 2: But I think it is setting the stage. It gives us,
- 16:51Speaker 2: at least the basis for the story of Joelle and
- 16:54Speaker 2: I you know, knows about the extra mayor extramarital affairs
- 17:03Speaker 2: of Brian. Yeah, and he responds to her knowing about
- 17:08Speaker 2: it with a call to her work. Now, viewers make
- 17:10Speaker 2: the judgment call if that was right or wrong or whatever.
- 17:14Speaker 2: We'll dive into that in a bit, But it does
- 17:16Speaker 2: set the stage for an interaction that I think the
- 17:19Speaker 2: whole episode is leading up towards. Yes, is they're going
- 17:22Speaker 2: to see each other and what's going to happen. But
- 17:25Speaker 2: then we I mean, there's so much happening in this episode.
- 17:28Speaker 2: This episode moves so fast into storylines that are like
- 17:34Speaker 2: like any other crucial, like any other show that's on television.
- 17:39Speaker 2: If you had this next scene with Kelsey and her
- 17:43Speaker 2: boyfriend Bill or friend Bill or whatever Bill.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Is William Billy Bill, Yeah.
- 17:49Speaker 2: If that would be like the main storyline of a show.
- 17:51Speaker 2: But it's almost skipped over in this episode because there's
- 17:55Speaker 2: so much other things happening. Correct, They're at a coffee
- 17:59Speaker 2: shop and meet Bill. Bill is nothing like what we
- 18:03Speaker 2: know about her current other boyfriend, Yeah, of ten years,
- 18:07Speaker 2: nothing nothing.
- 18:09Speaker 3: And he's he seems like a little cutie. I really
- 18:12Speaker 3: love the story that they've known each other since seventh
- 18:14Speaker 3: grade and that her mom is always asking about how's
- 18:18Speaker 3: my Billy doing?
- 18:19Speaker 2: You know.
- 18:20Speaker 3: I mean, I like can relate to that so much
- 18:22Speaker 3: because I met my husband in seventh grade and my
- 18:24Speaker 3: family loved him and they were always like, but what
- 18:26Speaker 3: about Hunter? But what about Hunter? You know? So I
- 18:28Speaker 3: think that's really cute and I think he's endgame. I
- 18:31Speaker 3: think this is her husband.
- 18:33Speaker 2: I think there's something to be said about a parent's
- 18:39Speaker 2: subtle clues that you have to listen to. Right If
- 18:45Speaker 2: your mom is asking about this guy and she knows
- 18:50Speaker 2: your current situation, I think you want to focus on
- 18:54Speaker 2: that a little bit more. Now, there are some things
- 18:55Speaker 2: that I'm thankful that Kelsey is acknowledging, and like it
- 19:01Speaker 2: or not, I do think the lifestyle change is hard
- 19:04Speaker 2: for her to wrap her head around. Yeah, and I
- 19:07Speaker 2: understand why that would be. She even says Bill's successful,
- 19:10Speaker 2: but I would have to go back to work. Yeah,
- 19:14Speaker 2: at some point though. If I was her father and
- 19:18Speaker 2: I'm like her age, I would say that's okay, Like,
- 19:22Speaker 2: you know what, go back to work. This is building
- 19:27Speaker 2: a life that you dream of with kids, and it's
- 19:31Speaker 2: setting something up for a long term relationship. And your
- 19:35Speaker 2: current situation is obviously not getting anywhere to that you
- 19:38Speaker 2: can either. And here's my concern. She's thirty years old.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Is this other guy going to keep her around when
- 19:47Speaker 2: she's forty?
- 19:48Speaker 3: No, we know this man.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Rip the band aid off now and make the move.
- 19:55Speaker 2: It's not too late.
- 19:56Speaker 3: Yeah, And I feel like she may have sa the
- 20:00Speaker 3: steam issues at this point, Like she's been essentially a
- 20:03Speaker 3: side chick for eleven years. She has no skills, which
- 20:08Speaker 3: she'll probably meant herself. I don't even think she has work,
- 20:12Speaker 3: so I don't know where she's going back to. So
- 20:14Speaker 3: she's been a side chick, she's never worked, and this
- 20:16Speaker 3: guy Bill has probably always had a crush on her
- 20:19Speaker 3: because she's gorgeous, and she's like, yeah, like that this
- 20:24Speaker 3: will work. Even though I think he is endgame. I
- 20:26Speaker 3: think that he's lovely and he's been around for a while,
- 20:28Speaker 3: for a really long time. But I think that she
- 20:32Speaker 3: has to work on her self esteem and I think
- 20:33Speaker 3: like getting her own is going to help her. And
- 20:37Speaker 3: then I'm not saying Billy's unattractive, Okay, I think he's
- 20:40Speaker 3: a very handsome man. He's very Rhode Island Okay, but
- 20:43Speaker 3: like she could really be with like someone like spectacular
- 20:45Speaker 3: who would treat her right and be extremely handsome.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Yeah, he has the same haircut that he had in
- 20:49Speaker 2: seventh grade.
- 20:50Speaker 3: That's exactly it. It's like, we're done with the tapered.
- 20:52Speaker 3: We need to let herselves go a little bit more.
- 20:54Speaker 3: It's too clean, Like as we said, it's too clean.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Well that has to be like, but he's got a
- 21:00Speaker 2: haircut a week for thirty years, twenty.
- 21:04Speaker 3: Farmers best friend.
- 21:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:06Speaker 3: Yeah, So she said she'd she had to go back
- 21:08Speaker 3: to work and then like have all the kids, all
- 21:11Speaker 3: this stuff, And I feel like a lot of the
- 21:14Speaker 3: themes is going back to work, having kids and being married,
- 21:19Speaker 3: because we talk about we talked to Alicia about that
- 21:22Speaker 3: possibility of her having to go back to work. We
- 21:25Speaker 3: talk about Ashley working with two kids, Kelsey having kids
- 21:29Speaker 3: and having to work. It's like, it's such a topic
- 21:32Speaker 3: conversation amongst these women and obviously every woman that wants
- 21:37Speaker 3: a family.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's it's a fun conversation. I think to
- 21:41Speaker 2: see on a show like this, you expect this show
- 21:43Speaker 2: to be lifestyles of the untouchables, right, like lifestyles of
- 21:48Speaker 2: people who you're like, yeah, I'll never have a yacht
- 21:51Speaker 2: and I'll never live on the ocean. But these conversations
- 21:55Speaker 2: are so relatable with really every level of the so
- 22:00Speaker 2: shoe economic like ladder where yeah, so many of us
- 22:04Speaker 2: live in this place where we're like, yeah, two people
- 22:06Speaker 2: have to work. My wife works, I work, right, Like
- 22:09Speaker 2: we both have to supply and help out the family,
- 22:12Speaker 2: which is a very modern idea, but it's also very
- 22:15Speaker 2: helpful and healthy. It's just sometimes hard to wrap your
- 22:18Speaker 2: brain around when maybe you're used to a lifestyle of
- 22:21Speaker 2: not doing that and going to lunch with your friends
- 22:23Speaker 2: for a few hours every day. It is a change,
- 22:27Speaker 2: but once you make it, I've seen it in my
- 22:29Speaker 2: own life and my own family is there is a
- 22:31Speaker 2: confidence and there's a like a character building, and it's
- 22:34Speaker 2: exciting for us both to come to the table at
- 22:36Speaker 2: night and be like, how was your work day individually.
- 22:41Speaker 3: That like personally, the little I always was like, once
- 22:44Speaker 3: I have kids, There's no way I could have the
- 22:47Speaker 3: energy to work because I'd be dealing with the kids
- 22:49Speaker 3: all like, but I now that I'm here, Like, there's
- 22:53Speaker 3: no way I could just be at home with a
- 22:54Speaker 3: kid all day. I would go insane. And it's interesting
- 22:58Speaker 3: that it's like a modern idea all the housewives must
- 23:02Speaker 3: be going insane.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Yeah, well, and we kind of see it with Ashley, right,
- 23:05Speaker 2: we see that conversation take place with Ashley and Jared
- 23:09Speaker 2: on their little date. I know Ashley confided in you
- 23:13Speaker 2: about that scene, and so I think it's best for
- 23:16Speaker 2: you to kind of take it away on giving us
- 23:18Speaker 2: maybe a picture that was communicated on television, but also
- 23:24Speaker 2: communicated through the source of what was actually happening and
- 23:27Speaker 2: what is happening in Ashley's mind during that, you know,
- 23:31Speaker 2: season of life.
- 23:33Speaker 3: So that season of life was really difficult for her
- 23:35Speaker 3: because Hayden was like kind of a terror until like
- 23:41Speaker 3: three months ago, like he was a difficult baby. She
- 23:46Speaker 3: just has difficult babies. But also that scene was over
- 23:50Speaker 3: two and a half hours long, and she thought it
- 23:52Speaker 3: was a really lovely scene between her and Jared and
- 23:54Speaker 3: they he cried, She obviously she cried, but like it
- 23:58Speaker 3: was more than just like the pepper shaker. It was
- 24:01Speaker 3: more than just saying I don't want to be at
- 24:03Speaker 3: home with these two kids. And that wasn't even what
- 24:05Speaker 3: she was trying to convey. She's basically like, if I
- 24:08Speaker 3: am at home and I don't see you that much
- 24:10Speaker 3: and you're working, I want you to at least be fulfilled,
- 24:13Speaker 3: you know. So that's what was trying to be conveyed,
- 24:17Speaker 3: and they clipped it in a very odd way. I
- 24:20Speaker 3: don't know. I think that she's she obviously works so
- 24:23Speaker 3: much too, and she has a nanny, which Alyssa, we
- 24:27Speaker 3: love you. You're the best standing of all time, so
- 24:30Speaker 3: she has like that balance as well. I don't I
- 24:32Speaker 3: think she was just trying to convey that if if
- 24:34Speaker 3: he's not going to be home, you better be happy,
- 24:36Speaker 3: and then what they were going to do with Audrey
- 24:37Speaker 3: in the coming years, But they didn't add that.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Yeah, as we've talked about before. I wonder if Audrey's
- 24:46Speaker 2: kind of strategy has changed over the last few weeks.
- 24:49Speaker 4: There's a possibility, yes, definitely a possibility.
- 24:53Speaker 2: That things have changed there.
- 24:55Speaker 3: Yeah, we may be open for a little bit longer.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's great. Yeah, you know there's this like
- 25:12Speaker 2: call and there's this calming moment for me when Jared
- 25:17Speaker 2: Nashally sit down. The conversation is so drastically different though,
- 25:22Speaker 2: than every other conversation that feels like it's happening on
- 25:24Speaker 2: Real Housewives of Rhode Island. Their conversation is more what
- 25:28Speaker 2: I sense of, Hey, how are we gonna build this
- 25:31Speaker 2: family unit to be stronger? What do we need to
- 25:34Speaker 2: do to support each other better? What do we need
- 25:37Speaker 2: to do to support our family better? How are we
- 25:40Speaker 2: going to continue to grow and move forward as a family? Well,
- 25:44Speaker 2: where so many other conversations are like talking about hey,
- 25:48Speaker 2: like our family might include like two other dudes.
- 25:51Speaker 3: I know, and it's like why didn't you stick up
- 25:54Speaker 3: for me? All this stuff? It is It is amazing
- 25:56Speaker 3: and I'm so happy to have them part of my family.
- 25:58Speaker 3: I'm very proud of them. No, that's awesome, Yeah, because
- 26:02Speaker 3: like I could never imagine it being the other way,
- 26:05Speaker 3: like having to deal with like the arguing, seeing the
- 26:08Speaker 3: arguing and like the cheating and stuff like that would
- 26:10Speaker 3: be that would be awful. So I'm glad it's just
- 26:12Speaker 3: like kind of a boring scene. She's like, She's like,
- 26:15Speaker 3: I added nothing to this episode. The scene was stupid.
- 26:19Speaker 3: But yeah, I'm like, you're a great person. You seem
- 26:22Speaker 3: very lovely, you're very relatable. You order rigatoni or whatever
- 26:26Speaker 3: you're eating, and everyone's eating carbs and we love to
- 26:29Speaker 3: see it.
- 26:30Speaker 2: I think Ashley has this thought right now, and she
- 26:34Speaker 2: listens to these episodes where if she's not involved in
- 26:38Speaker 2: the drama, she doesn't add to the episode. But I
- 26:42Speaker 2: actually think the ying and the yang of these episodes
- 26:44Speaker 2: are what make these things so good because we get
- 26:48Speaker 2: to see the whole perspective, and then we get to
- 26:50Speaker 2: see how Ashley and Jared still mingle well with all
- 26:55Speaker 2: these other aspects that are happening around them, the drama,
- 27:00Speaker 2: the friendship fighting. Yeah, I actually think she's adding more
- 27:05Speaker 2: because without Ashley and Jered, this thing's just chaos. That's true,
- 27:09Speaker 2: but they bring it to a level of Okay, now
- 27:11Speaker 2: we're back to like square one, again, Ashley is the
- 27:15Speaker 2: kind of filter for which all of us are asking
- 27:17Speaker 2: our questions, being like, what's happening here? And she's asking
- 27:20Speaker 2: those questions. I'm proud of her also and thankful that
- 27:26Speaker 2: she's that I'm not coming on here with her sister
- 27:29Speaker 2: being like goodness, I know that.
- 27:36Speaker 3: We may see that.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Who knows. There's a moment where I hope. So there's
- 27:41Speaker 2: really one or two big things that stand out to
- 27:44Speaker 2: me Before we get to the obviously Studio fifty four
- 27:47Speaker 2: party Alicia's house and we see Liz come over to
- 27:50Speaker 2: Alisha's house. Alicia has a massive doll collection. Personally, I
- 27:56Speaker 2: really don't like dolls. They really creep me out, and
- 28:01Speaker 2: I'm clowns. People know that about me, and dolls are
- 28:04Speaker 2: not like I love.
- 28:06Speaker 3: To take you to the Haunted Museum in Las Vegas.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Yeah, not my thing. Okay, I get really sketched out
- 28:13Speaker 2: by these things. These dolls aren't creepy. I think the
- 28:18Speaker 2: question that is asked is is it normal or is
- 28:24Speaker 2: it Okay? I would say yes for an adult to
- 28:27Speaker 2: have a doll collection of this size.
- 28:29Speaker 3: Okay, Now, I'm going to be extremely honest. I think
- 28:31Speaker 3: I blacked out during this part, or maybe I thought
- 28:33Speaker 3: it was extremely normal because two halloweens ago, our theme
- 28:37Speaker 3: for our yard was haunted dolls. He would have hated it.
- 28:40Speaker 3: So I have like a ton of like weird porcelain dolls.
- 28:43Speaker 3: Oh gosh, Oh, but like are they are? They're not
- 28:46Speaker 3: like porcelain dolls.
- 28:47Speaker 4: They're they're like child child's Yeah, they're like modern brat dolls,
- 28:51Speaker 4: like almost with like she's really like appreciating the like
- 28:55Speaker 4: artwork on them, how they've done like three layer eyeliner.
- 28:59Speaker 3: It sounds like she does need to have a job.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Maybe, Yeah, there is that. There is that. It usually
- 29:05Speaker 2: stems I have a few friends who have some wild collections.
- 29:09Speaker 2: It stems from this childhood obsession, right that like this
- 29:12Speaker 2: helped them feel comfortable or safe. She does not let
- 29:16Speaker 2: her daughter play with these dolls. These are her dolls
- 29:18Speaker 2: to admire and to collect. I think there is this level.
- 29:26Speaker 2: To me, it's like that's fine, it's not. It throws
- 29:29Speaker 2: me off a bit because I don't like them. But
- 29:31Speaker 2: if you're into.
- 29:32Speaker 3: Them, what other collections does your friends have?
- 29:34Speaker 2: Oh, we have like fly fishing, like lures, we have
- 29:39Speaker 2: those collections. We have a car collection, like a miniature
- 29:42Speaker 2: car collection. We obviously I have friends who still have
- 29:44Speaker 2: the Pokemon card collections.
- 29:46Speaker 3: So it's just the same as that.
- 29:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't see any difference. I don't either. I
- 29:51Speaker 2: have a Beanie t y whatever those called Beanie bat
- 29:56Speaker 2: beanie babies. I have a huge collection of beanie babies. Massive,
- 30:01Speaker 2: that's weird enough. So yeah, don't come to my house
- 30:03Speaker 2: and look for him. It's very hit and you'll never
- 30:05Speaker 2: find it. But I think it throws us off. But
- 30:09Speaker 2: I don't know if it's as big of a thing
- 30:11Speaker 2: as is what some will feel.
- 30:13Speaker 3: I don't think it is either. It's a fun little tibot,
- 30:16Speaker 3: but I think that she has a I mean, she
- 30:17Speaker 3: just have young kids, so she doesn't have a lot
- 30:19Speaker 3: of time on her hands. But she is talking to
- 30:21Speaker 3: Liz about like how if her husband left her or
- 30:26Speaker 3: not her husband, her fiance and that's why they haven't
- 30:29Speaker 3: gotten married because the prenup said that she would have nothing. Yeah,
- 30:34Speaker 3: so what happens to her doll collection? Then?
- 30:37Speaker 2: What do you think about that? Prenups have been a
- 30:39Speaker 2: big conversation Lauren on this show for a while now.
- 30:41Speaker 3: I Mean I always think like, once you are together,
- 30:46Speaker 3: then it's whatever you build from there on is fifty
- 30:49Speaker 3: to fifty. But before that that should be his or hers, you.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Know, doesn't it kind of sound from this though, that
- 30:57Speaker 2: the prenup state like is stating that anything he has
- 31:00Speaker 2: made from the moment they got married or the moment
- 31:04Speaker 2: they got together will not be hers either.
- 31:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess. So, I mean they have to like
- 31:10Speaker 3: revisit that conversation. I don't think prenups are bad. I
- 31:13Speaker 3: think they make sense for a lot of people. But
- 31:17Speaker 3: she should probably revisit it because it sounds like that's
- 31:19Speaker 3: her number one boggaboo about not getting married.
- 31:22Speaker 2: Is that she could end up with nothing. She could
- 31:24Speaker 2: end up with nothing, and I think it's like, it's
- 31:27Speaker 2: only I mean, these are his children, right that she's
- 31:31Speaker 2: caring for. Yeah, I mean I think common sense and
- 31:35Speaker 2: logic would say, hey, if you're going to care for
- 31:37Speaker 2: the children then and we're not going to you know,
- 31:42Speaker 2: have you work being a saying her mom is a
- 31:44Speaker 2: very admirable job, and it is a full time job
- 31:47Speaker 2: and it's a very hard job, then there is some
- 31:50Speaker 2: type of financial benefit just to give you that peace
- 31:54Speaker 2: of mind, because if not, what are you actually communicating
- 31:58Speaker 2: to the love of your life and your partner. If
- 32:01Speaker 2: you're communicating, hey, you're not going to get anything ever,
- 32:05Speaker 2: like you're pretty much saying like I'm going to mess
- 32:07Speaker 2: you over at some point.
- 32:08Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, No, I think it's really messed up. And
- 32:11Speaker 3: I have a really hard time believing that this man,
- 32:13Speaker 3: who I think seems very sweet, would ever do that
- 32:15Speaker 3: to her. So I feel like, I hope there's like
- 32:18Speaker 3: a wedding at the end of the season. That'd be
- 32:19Speaker 3: really fun.
- 32:20Speaker 2: That'd be fun.
- 32:22Speaker 3: Yeah, that'd be great. I think they just need to
- 32:23Speaker 3: rehash it, because there's no way this man's goma be like,
- 32:25Speaker 3: you've taken care of our children for so long, you
- 32:28Speaker 3: get nothing. And I know she's scared because she said
- 32:31Speaker 3: her mom was left without a house when her parents
- 32:33Speaker 3: got divorced or her dad left, So it's childhood trauma
- 32:36Speaker 3: all around.
- 32:38Speaker 2: It's it's a weird situation. I want that to continue though.
- 32:41Speaker 2: That's a storyline I do want to see come through,
- 32:44Speaker 2: and I would love to see kind of the sit
- 32:46Speaker 2: down that Ashley and Jared have with Alicia and her
- 32:48Speaker 2: husband where she says, hey, I feel this way, can
- 32:52Speaker 2: we somehow come to a compromise. Oh yeah, sorry, it's
- 32:55Speaker 2: her fiance.
- 32:55Speaker 3: Sheancey, it's weird when I mean, it's kind of crazy
- 32:58Speaker 3: when they have you have kids and your together for
- 33:00Speaker 3: what nine years or something or eleven years, can't remember.
- 33:04Speaker 3: So Rula has her Lebanese party where all her friends
- 33:07Speaker 3: come over that she feels comfortable talking about this with.
- 33:10Speaker 3: And I find it shocking that she's it seems like
- 33:13Speaker 3: everyone around her knows that her husband's cheating on her.
- 33:17Speaker 3: But how basically she has to forgive him even if
- 33:20Speaker 3: he did cheat on her because her family can't handle
- 33:24Speaker 3: a divorce because it's like not in their culture or
- 33:27Speaker 3: their religion or anything. But then we find out that
- 33:29Speaker 3: Rula was actually divorced before she got married to Brian,
- 33:34Speaker 3: and she says, I don't think we should talk about
- 33:37Speaker 3: that in her Rula voice, and I'm like, what the
- 33:41Speaker 3: hell happened? Rula? You know, I don't know if we'll
- 33:44Speaker 3: ever get into it.
- 33:45Speaker 2: Rula and Brian throughout this episode, I guess I'm confused
- 33:51Speaker 2: on why they agreed to be on the show, because
- 33:53Speaker 2: there's this there's a lot of moments where they're like,
- 33:55Speaker 2: we're not going to talk about this here because they
- 33:57Speaker 2: want to say because the cameras are right here, but
- 34:00Speaker 2: they don't. But it feels like they're not saying exactly
- 34:04Speaker 2: what's going on because there's cameras there and they don't
- 34:08Speaker 2: like It's it's almost too uncomfortable for me to watch
- 34:11Speaker 2: because it feels like there's so much behind the scenes
- 34:14Speaker 2: and so much actually like real stuff happening in both
- 34:17Speaker 2: of their lives and as a couple. Yeah, that they're
- 34:21Speaker 2: almost at a breaking point, or they are at a
- 34:23Speaker 2: breaking point and they don't want to expose it anymore
- 34:27Speaker 2: because just more painful. But they've agreed or she's agreed
- 34:31Speaker 2: to be on this show where now cameras are going
- 34:35Speaker 2: to be around, I know.
- 34:36Speaker 3: And these kids aren't gonna end up watching all this
- 34:38Speaker 3: stuff and these women yelling at their dad for being
- 34:42Speaker 3: a scumbag, and it is it is insane. They decided
- 34:46Speaker 3: to do this show, and it seems like they weren't
- 34:48Speaker 3: like struggling or anything, because a lot of people say
- 34:50Speaker 3: yes for fame and money and all that. But their
- 34:52Speaker 3: house is beautiful. He's a mediatrist, she's a financial advisor.
- 34:57Speaker 3: Like things are going well for them, so I don't
- 34:59Speaker 3: think it was crucial for them be on the show.
- 35:00Speaker 3: But we are thankful they are because it's very interesting.
- 35:03Speaker 3: Because the fight at the end between Joe Ellen and Gary,
- 35:11Speaker 3: Gary and Rula and Brian are is incredible. I almost
- 35:16Speaker 3: just want to like jump to that.
- 35:19Speaker 2: I mean, I think we can because the Studio fifty
- 35:21Speaker 2: four party, if we summarized it is a really fun
- 35:24Speaker 2: looking party. There's a ton of people in a beautiful place.
- 35:27Speaker 2: Everybody's dressed up looking good. You know, Dina, we've kind
- 35:31Speaker 2: of covered that whole thing with Kelsey.
- 35:33Speaker 3: This is wasted. We have to address that too. Yeah,
- 35:36Speaker 3: she's having a.
- 35:36Speaker 2: Good time, she's enjoying everything. Were those really Ashley's bangs?
- 35:42Speaker 2: Or is at a wig?
- 35:43Speaker 3: They were clip ons, clip on bangs. And she did
- 35:46Speaker 3: actually cut her real banks because she's an idiot.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Do you cut her hair usually?
- 35:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I cut her hair, yeah, but she's so basic.
- 35:53Speaker 3: It's just like a trim, you know.
- 35:55Speaker 2: But she for whatever reason, decided to cut her own
- 35:57Speaker 2: hair at some point.
- 35:58Speaker 3: I unfortunately do not live in Red Eye, and so
- 36:00Speaker 3: I couldn't cut her banks.
- 36:01Speaker 2: Okay, And she still have bangs. She knows. That's like
- 36:04Speaker 2: the one thing I think no girl should ever get.
- 36:06Speaker 3: It was like one little thing here and then she
- 36:08Speaker 3: like just snipped it accidentally, you know. Yeah, yeah, so
- 36:12Speaker 3: it was an accidental bank trim. But she looked great.
- 36:16Speaker 3: That outfit was amazing. She had that in her closet
- 36:18Speaker 3: for a very long time. I'm glad she got to
- 36:19Speaker 3: wear that.
- 36:20Speaker 2: Why did she have in her closet.
- 36:22Speaker 3: I think she actually had it for like an iHeart
- 36:25Speaker 3: Awards show or something, and she never wore it, or
- 36:28Speaker 3: she did wear once, pulled it back out. Yeah, yeah,
- 36:33Speaker 3: go back out.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Good for her. The rest of the party, it's interesting.
- 36:39Speaker 2: Bill shows up, yes, which I think is cool because
- 36:44Speaker 2: her other boyfriend doesn't show up to these things. Yeah,
- 36:47Speaker 2: so he's at least showing up.
- 36:49Speaker 3: And Bill knows seems to know a lot of people there.
- 36:51Speaker 3: Bill is a classic Rhode Island boy who knows everyone.
- 36:55Speaker 2: Yeah. Jared does drop during this that he has participated
- 36:59Speaker 2: on Chippendale's before.
- 37:00Speaker 3: Yes, he loves to discuss that.
- 37:04Speaker 2: That's a good one. I remember the poster. It's something
- 37:07Speaker 2: it'll make I mean, in fact, I should probably come
- 37:09Speaker 2: out with his new rise of popularity and intrigue. I
- 37:13Speaker 2: hope that poster comes back out.
- 37:14Speaker 3: A residency at Chippendale's.
- 37:16Speaker 2: Yes, that would be so. I'd probably go.
- 37:19Speaker 3: Watch you should probably do it yourself.
- 37:36Speaker 2: All right, let's just jump to it. Yeah, this is
- 37:40Speaker 2: really what the whole episode is building up to. We've
- 37:43Speaker 2: we've laid the groundwork, we've created the storylines. We know
- 37:48Speaker 2: there's tension, and it is who actually facilitates this sit down?
- 37:55Speaker 2: Is it Joellen?
- 37:56Speaker 3: Joellen? Yeah? She like goes up to r She goes,
- 37:59Speaker 3: I know we have a lot to talk about. Let's
- 38:01Speaker 3: just do it. And she goes, we do have a
- 38:02Speaker 3: lot to talk about it. So then they go sit down,
- 38:04Speaker 3: they have their husbands there, and then but Joellen basically
- 38:10Speaker 3: is like, why did you call my work like this?
- 38:13Speaker 3: This is your issue? Why did you call my work?
- 38:15Speaker 3: And then Gary's like, you could talk, you could do whatever.
- 38:19Speaker 3: But when it comes to my wife's work and putting
- 38:22Speaker 3: food on the table for my kids, that's what I
- 38:24Speaker 3: have a problem. And I'm like, yes, because why would
- 38:28Speaker 3: you call and tell and tell Joellen's work to stop,
- 38:36Speaker 3: to have her stop talking about your affair. And then
- 38:39Speaker 3: when Rula is like, tell them nothing is happening. Still,
- 38:44Speaker 3: he couldn't do it. He couldn't do that because it
- 38:47Speaker 3: would be a lie. And then it totally invalidates the
- 38:51Speaker 3: fact that he did call the work and he admits
- 38:54Speaker 3: to calling the work to talk about her. That has
- 38:57Speaker 3: nothing to do with how you're performing in your job. Nothing,
- 39:01Speaker 3: It's just your butt hurt that your secer got out.
- 39:03Speaker 3: And also tell your mistress just not post pictures on
- 39:06Speaker 3: the internet.
- 39:07Speaker 2: Wait, she's posting, and I don't think I saw this
- 39:08Speaker 2: as she posted.
- 39:09Speaker 3: The mistress posted pictures of them together on the internet.
- 39:12Speaker 3: And that's how Joellen found out because Joellen follows the
- 39:16Speaker 3: mistress on Instagram.
- 39:17Speaker 2: She follows everybody on Instagram, Yes she does.
- 39:19Speaker 3: And she followed me last night.
- 39:21Speaker 2: Oh goodness, I gotta see if she followed me. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 39:25Speaker 2: It's so uncomfortable. The whole conversation actually is fine. They're
- 39:28Speaker 2: kind of hashing it out and it's moving forward, and
- 39:31Speaker 2: it's going in a direction where at least everything's being
- 39:34Speaker 2: laid on the table, and it does seem like there's
- 39:37Speaker 2: gonna be some type maybe not reconciliation, but at least
- 39:41Speaker 2: all of them will be in the same room. They
- 39:42Speaker 2: might not like each other, they might not respect each other,
- 39:45Speaker 2: but they can at least be around each other until Rula,
- 39:50Speaker 2: which is a very fair statement from her to ask
- 39:52Speaker 2: her husband to say, just tell them it's not going
- 39:55Speaker 2: on anymore.
- 39:55Speaker 3: Yes, and then we'll squash it.
- 39:57Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it. Everything else is on the table. Hey,
- 40:00Speaker 2: you called Joellen's work. That probably wasn't great. Gary's told
- 40:04Speaker 2: you how painful that was and how he doesn't respect it.
- 40:07Speaker 2: Nobody's threatening fisticuffs here. We're just talking this out and saying, hey,
- 40:13Speaker 2: she might have called you out, you've called her out.
- 40:16Speaker 2: We don't like that. But if this situation's over, then
- 40:19Speaker 2: we all move on. We all move on.
- 40:21Speaker 3: Like he admitted to having an affair, we can move
- 40:25Speaker 3: on from that and be like, you're right, he was,
- 40:28Speaker 3: but it's the ongoing part that he refuses to address.
- 40:32Speaker 3: And he looks like a little.
- 40:34Speaker 2: Bit really yeah, because I think Rula this whole time
- 40:37Speaker 2: has been like, hey, I don't like that he had
- 40:39Speaker 2: an affair. It's really hurt me. But it's over. It's done.
- 40:43Speaker 2: He's told me it's done, and so we're gonna just
- 40:46Speaker 2: like squash it and move on. However, we've decided to
- 40:49Speaker 2: do that in our own household. But when she puts
- 40:52Speaker 2: him in the corner, which would be a very easy
- 40:54Speaker 2: answer that he should be able to give, is Yes,
- 40:56Speaker 2: it's done. It's been done. Yeah, she says, tell him
- 40:59Speaker 2: it's over, and Joellen says it's still going on. And
- 41:04Speaker 2: Rula goes back and says, Brian, tell him it's over.
- 41:08Speaker 2: He doesn't do.
- 41:10Speaker 3: It, he doesn't do it. And I think he doesn't
- 41:13Speaker 3: do it because he may think that Joellen has more
- 41:15Speaker 3: proof that it is and then he'll get caught in
- 41:18Speaker 3: another lie. And then when Rula and Brian go in
- 41:22Speaker 3: the car and they leave the party, she goes, why
- 41:23Speaker 3: didn't you say anything? He goes, Oh, you were doing
- 41:25Speaker 3: a good enough job for me. What like, you're letting
- 41:29Speaker 3: your wife take all this blame and all this heat
- 41:33Speaker 3: and you can't even jump in. And that's why I
- 41:35Speaker 3: think Gary looks so good. Now I'm going to say
- 41:38Speaker 3: I didn't love especially as a hairstylest, especially if someone
- 41:42Speaker 3: who who specializes extensions, as you can see right here
- 41:45Speaker 3: that Joellen said, I want to shake Rula, but that
- 41:49Speaker 3: would route that her topper would fall off, and that's
- 41:55Speaker 3: like such a sensitive topic, you know, like someone who
- 41:57Speaker 3: has thinning hair and stuff. I was like, that's like
- 42:00Speaker 3: you can make fun of someone's clothes and makeup and
- 42:02Speaker 3: all that stuff, but like don't talk about that, but
- 42:06Speaker 3: you do want to shake her.
- 42:07Speaker 2: But and you're also not I think you've touched on something.
- 42:11Speaker 2: I actually had to look up what a topper was
- 42:12Speaker 2: when that was said. I didn't know what it was.
- 42:14Speaker 2: This whole I mean, like, this whole conversation did not
- 42:18Speaker 2: get like personally attacked. It didn't feel personally attacking anybody
- 42:23Speaker 2: outside of here's what happened, right, You had an affair.
- 42:26Speaker 2: I knew about it. You called my work. I do
- 42:29Speaker 2: think you're You're right. When they do cross the line
- 42:32Speaker 2: to make fun of each other, yeah, yeah, where it
- 42:35Speaker 2: does feel very dirty and just that's not fair like
- 42:41Speaker 2: fun or fair because she probably knows about whatever Rula's
- 42:44Speaker 2: doing with her hair, because at some point maybe Rula
- 42:47Speaker 2: has felt comfortable enough to talk about it in a
- 42:49Speaker 2: setting of frames. Totally, that was overstepping. However, we come
- 42:55Speaker 2: out of this conversation, I'm thinking, Brian, buddy, you're gonna
- 42:59Speaker 2: get in this car, and you have talked your way
- 43:02Speaker 2: around this and in a lot of ways, goodness gracious,
- 43:05Speaker 2: you're kind of good at it. But you're not saying anything.
- 43:08Speaker 2: And so if Rula wasn't just so beaten down with
- 43:13Speaker 2: her confidence right now. What she should have said to
- 43:15Speaker 2: Brian in that car when he said you're doing enough,
- 43:17Speaker 2: good enough job for me, was then answer me the
- 43:20Speaker 2: question is it done or is it not? Again? I
- 43:25Speaker 2: protected you because I love you. Brian, you didn't protect
- 43:29Speaker 2: me at all? Correct, Gary, protected Joelle and Joel and
- 43:31Speaker 2: protected Gary. You sat there, spun your drink around and
- 43:36Speaker 2: stayed quiet. Is this over or is this not? And
- 43:39Speaker 2: he refuses to answer that question, which makes me go,
- 43:45Speaker 2: it's still going on.
- 43:46Speaker 3: That's the answer right there. And I don't know if
- 43:51Speaker 3: Rula wants to know the answer really right, I don't know.
- 43:56Speaker 2: I mean, you're probably right because.
- 43:57Speaker 3: She has again.
- 43:59Speaker 2: Yeah, she has mentioned how difficult that would be. It
- 44:03Speaker 2: may it It brings out this like level of sadness,
- 44:09Speaker 2: you know, to the whole situation that I think she
- 44:12Speaker 2: is in a really hard place with a guy who
- 44:15Speaker 2: is not being honest with her.
- 44:18Speaker 3: I don't know. I'd almost rather him lie like with
- 44:21Speaker 3: with like strength to be like no, it's not because
- 44:25Speaker 3: he'd be like I don't know.
- 44:27Speaker 2: It is so gross, it's so weird, and he's not
- 44:31Speaker 2: gonna win this battle. I mean, he is with he
- 44:33Speaker 2: is not only like facing the Joellens of the world,
- 44:36Speaker 2: who will come out him one hundred miles an hour.
- 44:39Speaker 2: Every woman he has, every woman who's going to just
- 44:42Speaker 2: start like, yeah, it's it's he is in a h
- 44:47Speaker 2: he's in a tough place. Truth will win, though.
- 44:51Speaker 3: I'm gonna say, how why do you agree to go
- 44:55Speaker 3: on this show? And he's like walked into that party
- 44:58Speaker 3: like knowing. I don't know. It's bizarre. I understand like
- 45:01Speaker 3: women love drama, but like that was crazy.
- 45:04Speaker 2: All right? So as we as we finish up this breakdown,
- 45:12Speaker 2: we do see a Liz and Kelsey fight that kind
- 45:15Speaker 2: of ends the episode. As you said, Liz is having
- 45:18Speaker 2: a great time during this party. She's bubbly and happy, uh,
- 45:22Speaker 2: and Kelsey makes a kind of backhanded comment to Liz
- 45:29Speaker 2: that sets Liz off. Kelsey makes his comment when Liz says,
- 45:32Speaker 2: I want to go to the Sea Wall with Dino
- 45:34Speaker 2: and Jerry. One kind of a wild thing to say
- 45:37Speaker 2: in the midst of all the conversations happening, But that's
- 45:40Speaker 2: what Liz is asking for, and Kelsey asks her if
- 45:43Speaker 2: she should with the ongoing rumors. This sets Liz off off. Lauren,
- 45:52Speaker 2: was this Kelsey being a good friend or was this
- 45:55Speaker 2: Kelsey trying to start something.
- 45:58Speaker 3: I think this is her being a good friend. I
- 46:02Speaker 3: just saw it as her like looking out for her
- 46:04Speaker 3: drunk friend who was like I want to be with
- 46:08Speaker 3: the guys I love, you know, and like hang out
- 46:11Speaker 3: with them together. And then she's like, it's not good.
- 46:13Speaker 3: People are already talking about you with Dino. And then
- 46:17Speaker 3: Liz flips out and then says something to Kelsey about
- 46:21Speaker 3: like what's your relationship with Dino or you know Dino.
- 46:27Speaker 3: I don't we don't really understand this whole thing. But
- 46:30Speaker 3: then the producer Brian the camera goes what's Kelsey's relationship
- 46:34Speaker 3: with Dino? And she goes, You're gonna have to ask Kelsey,
- 46:36Speaker 3: And then we're left hanging right.
- 46:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that's it, And there seems like there's again,
- 46:42Speaker 2: here's another stream to be tied to the map of
- 46:46Speaker 2: what is happening here. Now, all of a sudden, Kelsey
- 46:48Speaker 2: has Bill and her other boyfriend, and then Dino somehow
- 46:51Speaker 2: is connected to Kelsey as well. Yeah within all this,
- 46:53Speaker 2: and Dino's also connected to Liz. But we don't have
- 46:57Speaker 2: a conclusion to this. So here's a few storylines, Laura
- 47:00Speaker 2: that I think we're going to have to catch up
- 47:01Speaker 2: on in the next few episodes. One is how successful
- 47:05Speaker 2: is Audrey's actually going to get It's going to be
- 47:07Speaker 2: wildly successful. The second storyline here is what is happening
- 47:12Speaker 2: with Rula and Brian. Is Brian actually ever going to,
- 47:16Speaker 2: you know, fess up or tell the truth and if not,
- 47:19Speaker 2: who's going to tell the truth for him? And is
- 47:21Speaker 2: he going to have to admit more or less at
- 47:24Speaker 2: some point of what's happening, if it's happening or not,
- 47:28Speaker 2: he's gonna have to admit what is actually going on.
- 47:30Speaker 2: We also need some clarification on the mistress of Brian.
- 47:38Speaker 2: Is she going to show up in an episode? Are
- 47:39Speaker 2: we going to see her come to an episode? Do
- 47:42Speaker 2: you think she will?
- 47:43Speaker 3: I don't think she will, okay, Well sider scoop, I don't.
- 47:47Speaker 2: Think she will, Okay.
- 47:48Speaker 3: I think she's definitely trying to remain anonymous.
- 47:51Speaker 2: It would be wildest.
- 47:52Speaker 3: Yeah. I wish to like have on those dramatic moments
- 47:55Speaker 3: where someone's footsteps out and be like, Oh, it's the
- 47:57Speaker 3: Mistress and then seen to black you know, But I
- 48:00Speaker 3: don't think it's gonna happen.
- 48:02Speaker 2: Dang, final storyline, I think from this episode that we
- 48:05Speaker 2: still need clarification on is obviously, what is Kelsey's connection
- 48:10Speaker 2: to Dino. Why was that even a thing that was
- 48:12Speaker 2: brought up? And how is this Liz and Jerry and
- 48:18Speaker 2: Dino situation going to play out? Is it actually a
- 48:21Speaker 2: storyline or all three of them in on it and
- 48:23Speaker 2: it's just going to get squashed because they're all like, no,
- 48:26Speaker 2: this is what happened. We all know what happened. It
- 48:28Speaker 2: doesn't hurt any of us, and we're good.
- 48:31Speaker 3: Wow. I do know that when Ashley watched this episode,
- 48:36Speaker 3: she was surprised to see the fight with Liz and Kelsey.
- 48:40Speaker 2: Oh, she didn't know what happened. She interesting, I don't know.
- 48:45Speaker 3: Also, another theory with the Dino real quick, I think Dino,
- 48:48Speaker 3: Liz and Jerry maybe they had a threesome and they
- 48:51Speaker 3: were like, that's gonna be between us too, and that's
- 48:55Speaker 3: a secret between them. Could be anyway, little theory there.
- 48:59Speaker 2: Yeah, that could be. You know, good friends are closer
- 49:02Speaker 2: than others allegedly. I don't need that.
- 49:06Speaker 3: I don't need to say that. This is there.
- 49:09Speaker 2: In the next episodes, we see a beach day with
- 49:11Speaker 2: the girls. Ashley is hilarious as usual, saying all these
- 49:14Speaker 2: other girls look like Barbie, you know, beach princesses, and
- 49:17Speaker 2: I look like I tried a little bit today. Liz
- 49:21Speaker 2: and Kelsey are talking, Liz saying it's all rumors, and
- 49:25Speaker 2: Alicia and Rosie get into an argument. Alicia tells Rosie
- 49:28Speaker 2: to slow her role and also says you're not hot. Uh,
- 49:33Speaker 2: And finally, welcome to Rhode Island.
- 49:38Speaker 3: I don't know why anyone could hate Rosie. I just
- 49:41Speaker 3: don't get it.
- 49:43Speaker 2: There is so much, Lauren to uncover and to continue
- 49:46Speaker 2: to watch. Thank you for walking alongside this journey with
- 49:51Speaker 2: me is yes, eye opening.
- 49:53Speaker 3: I love that you're like along for this ride because
- 49:56Speaker 3: like it's just not something you would ever watch. It's
- 49:58Speaker 3: so funny. I'm like, is here actually gonna watch this?
- 50:01Speaker 2: And you are in it and I'm in it, and
- 50:05Speaker 2: it has been something I'm sure my wife is listening
- 50:08Speaker 2: to me break this down right now and be like
- 50:10Speaker 2: what in the world.
- 50:11Speaker 3: And you're so good with the names, like it's hard,
- 50:14Speaker 3: like so many people are like messaging me like I
- 50:17Speaker 3: can't tell a bart I know that you know it.
- 50:19Speaker 3: It's so good.
- 50:21Speaker 2: We're watching with a different type of passion because our
- 50:24Speaker 2: good friend Ashley, and your sister Ashley is very much
- 50:30Speaker 2: involved in doing it in the best of ways. Hey,
