- 0:01Speaker 0: Here we go, dr Slayton Live Brain Talk.
- 0:05Speaker 0: Welcome to the Brain's Body Podcast.
- 0:07Speaker 0: I'm Dr Christopher Kevin Slayton, author of Brain Talk Learning the Brain's Body with Dr Slayton Live.
- 0:13Speaker 0: Now we're talking about the crisis of self, and the reason why is because a lot of my research involves sense and receive path functions, and so, in the study of how you sense and receive human systems, science evolved as a study of brain, body and sense events, because those are your messaging systems.
- 0:35Speaker 0: That's how you communicate.
- 0:36Speaker 0: So your inner voice can be a negative or a positive, but it influences the body or the brain, based upon the influences from the environment and how they impact the way that you receive and process information flow.
- 0:57Speaker 0: And so when I'm talking about the crisis of self, I'm talking about the inability to transform your sense of self to a sense of feel for self, where you understand your inner voice has been processed through your sense of feel for self, the brain, and your evidence is that the way you respond describes the brain in the lead of the body.
- 1:23Speaker 0: So that's why I talk a lot about the brain's body, because the brain has to be in the lead of the body.
- 1:25Speaker 0: So that's why I talk a lot about the brain's body, because the brain has to be in the lead for your inner voice to be under control, where you can manage the experience of emotion.
- 1:35Speaker 0: See, a lot of people do this, naturally.
- 1:36Speaker 0: But when you're in crises it's more difficult because you can't stop yourself from thinking before you feel or being emotional before you even have contact, because the brain's not set up to receive interaction.
- 1:56Speaker 0: That means no cognitive processing.
- 1:58Speaker 0: So I'm talking about the brain's body and I'm talking about brain talk.
- 2:03Speaker 0: But, more importantly, I want you to settle down and realize I'm talking about the inner voice that creates the complexity.
- 2:11Speaker 0: When you have contact.
- 2:13Speaker 0: It has to be transferred to the received path where the transformation takes place, from your body-mind to your sense of feel for self.
- 2:24Speaker 0: So the external environment and its influences have to be processed.
- 2:27Speaker 0: So when you resist transferring the contact of a teacher, law enforcement authority figure or let's stick to education someone who's trying to inform your brain, you break down the transformation process because you're supposed to change not change forever, but change or adjust to receive the content so that your brain can process it and develop forward feed, backward feed, forward feed.
- 3:02Speaker 0: And that's when you're caught up in your inner voice because you don't really understand what's happening on the inside of you.
- 3:09Speaker 0: So that's why I talk about the physical self versus the neurophysical self, to try to emphasize that transformation that takes place between brain body connections.
- 3:21Speaker 0: So I take the mind out of it.
- 3:23Speaker 0: I said I don't believe in the mind because when I was reading Aristotle and Plato there was no brain.
- 3:28Speaker 0: They weren't talking about the brain, the mind was a program state from the environmental influences over your labor.
- 3:36Speaker 0: So I still hold to that and I say that it's a reflective state of the experience.
- 3:41Speaker 0: So I don't say the mind does anything in terms of cognitive process, is what I'm saying?
- 3:48Speaker 0: That's a social cognitive event, for sure, because it's physical, the body's physical and the body language that you display represents your states of mind.
- 3:58Speaker 0: I'm okay with that.
- 4:00Speaker 0: But we're talking about the complexity of having sensory C-PAP difficulties because you can't understand your inner voice and therefore you can't make the right choice and decision because it's confusing.
- 4:13Speaker 0: You think to feel something means you're soft.
- 4:16Speaker 0: When to feel something means you're transferring it to the brain, because that field component is the impulses that moves through your veins.
- 4:27Speaker 0: No, it's neural, it's not physical, it's neural and the transformation through your veins, the inner voice and what you know how to do with it is supposedly brain talk, because the brain talks back through the things that you do to perform.
- 4:43Speaker 0: Those are outlets that the brain is continuously formulating, from the breath of life forward.
- 4:49Speaker 0: You don't just read you learn how to read to your brain.
- 4:53Speaker 0: You don't just write you learn how to write to your brain.
- 4:57Speaker 0: You don't just draw you learn how to draw to your brain.
- 5:02Speaker 0: You just don't act you learn how to act to your brain.
- 5:06Speaker 0: And you don't just perform, you learn how to perform to your brain and listen and then reflect through a self-reflection that's more directed, because we're talking about yourself, your individualism, what makes you unique.
- 5:22Speaker 0: And so in doing so, you look at those instruments, because those are the technologies that the brain develops through social and academic learning.
- 5:30Speaker 0: No, because you see, those are the things that allow you to be a natural entrepreneur, because they are how you create what isn't but what you think is because of what's going on inside of you.
- 5:45Speaker 0: But if you can't communicate it, because you can't manage your brain, control your body and focus your senses, then that's why you're upset, because you have so much on the inside but you don't know how to release it to the physical world, so you can realize it.
- 6:01Speaker 0: So I'm talking about myself.
- 6:02Speaker 0: I'm not talking about anyone else.
- 6:03Speaker 0: I'm not talking about other or the environment.
- 6:04Speaker 0: I'm talking about you and your sense of feel for self and why you can find yourself more frustrated because you can't figure out how to release your energy constructively.
- 6:16Speaker 0: And so you're doing all these things, but you're not doing the things that allow you to naturally self-learn.
- 6:25Speaker 0: Self-help evolve from the crisis of self to understanding self, because now you understand that you're a transformative organ.
- 6:35Speaker 0: Brain, body, sense organs are designed to change and be changed throughout your lifespan.
- 6:41Speaker 0: They're not designed for you to be a program and just be a behavior, because you don't know how to do anything else, because your brain's not on.
- 6:52Speaker 0: Your sense path is in the lead of your brain.
- 6:54Speaker 0: Your received path is ignored because you can't see it.
- 6:59Speaker 0: But when you have contact, you transform.
- 7:02Speaker 0: You either become angry or you become happy From the experience of the contact and the way it interacts with your inner sense of feel for self in your brain.
- 7:12Speaker 0: And then what happens next?
- 7:15Speaker 0: You begin to realize from the experience what your next steps are supposed to be.
- 7:19Speaker 0: And you don't just do it, you act through it.
- 7:22Speaker 0: What do you do?
- 7:23Speaker 0: You read, write, talk, draw, act, perform.
- 7:26Speaker 0: And what are people praising you for?
- 7:28Speaker 0: Wow, look at that person.
- 7:30Speaker 0: Skill sets.
- 7:31Speaker 0: And that's all I'm trying to get you to do is relax and understand.
- 7:34Speaker 0: How you get yourself out of the crisis of self is by just settling down and beginning to understand what Sense and Receive Path Research is.
- 7:42Speaker 0: It's about learning how to live with self.
- 7:46Speaker 0: Let me say it again, because the brain has been lead, so the practice is learn how to live with self, learn how to think with self, learn how to learn with self, learn how to respond with self.
- 8:02Speaker 0: See, because self is in the way unless you know how to navigate through man-made environments homes, school, neighborhood, neighborhood and workplace networks so that you can begin to understand how to comfortably handle the tension, stress and pressure of being you and just being comfortable with what you're becoming, because you're participating without fear or threat of being found out, because you're not who you say you are, because you're behind who you really are.
- 8:38Speaker 0: I'm not telling you where you are, I'm saying there's levels to this and when you have since received path disruptions, it stunts your growth and development.
- 8:49Speaker 0: So you can be whatever you are.
- 8:51Speaker 0: Your growth and development.
- 8:53Speaker 0: So you can be whatever you are, but there is a ceiling and you can't get beyond the ceiling because you have not learned how to sense and receive the information flow and be prepared to create something different out of it.
- 9:05Speaker 0: Because that's what the brain does.
- 9:06Speaker 0: It improves your creative instincts because the brain has solved the problem.
- 9:12Speaker 0: But the brain can't solve the problem if everything's stuck up in your states of mind, and your states of mind are rigid, because those are defense mechanisms from dealing with coming to terms with the uncomfortable reality.
- 9:28Speaker 0: You're not who and where you want to be or think you should be, and you're trying to give the illusion.
- 9:35Speaker 0: Hurt, pain, sadness, everybody else's feeling, because we can sense and feel your unhappiness but we can't get to you because you're not prepared to receive the critique that's supposed to be internalized when your brain grabs it and then begins to work on it.
- 9:54Speaker 0: You do the writing, you do the reading, you do the acting, you do the performing and bam, the brain all the time is problem solving and, as you know, don't look for someone else to tell you how great you are.
- 10:06Speaker 0: You have to perform for yourself and yourself will tell you how great you are by the products that you're developing these products that I'm talking about.
- 10:16Speaker 0: This has been Dr Slade Live Brain Talk from the Brain's Body Podcast.
- 10:21Speaker 0: Hang in there now.
- 10:22Speaker 0: I'll be back shortly.
- 10:24Speaker 0: Thank you.
