You've been on the receiving end of a decision nobody would own. There was nobody to be angry at. Just a call that came down, and when you traced it back you found a policy, or a number, or the way we do it now.
The Chaldeans don't simply take the stronghold. They laugh at it first. And the siege technology is almost insulting: they build up an earthen ramp, piling dirt against the wall until they can walk over the top.
