- 0:00Speaker 1: The Force will be with you always.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Hello, and welcome back to another episode of Star Wars Alliance.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Of course, I am your host, Clay, and with me
- 0:28Speaker 2: like always is Katie. And before she says hi, I
- 0:33Speaker 2: just want to go ahead and warn everybody she is
- 0:38Speaker 2: going through it her daughter. Her daughter had gotten sick.
- 0:45Speaker 2: I'm guessing from daycare because that's usually worth where handfoot
- 0:51Speaker 2: in mouth is and now you've got some sort of
- 0:55Speaker 2: version of it. I believe that like handfoot and mouth
- 1:00Speaker 2: is like a like some sort of version of chicken pocks.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like it is.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Yeah, so you The good thing is once you have it,
- 1:15Speaker 2: you won't get it again.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Well, so, there's three different viruses that cause handfoot in mouth,
- 1:22Speaker 3: so once you get all three, you shouldn't have it.
- 1:26Speaker 3: I never had it as a kid. So and Matt
- 1:30Speaker 3: has the immunity system of an immortal being. So oh,
- 1:37Speaker 3: it's a whole thing. I'm very jealous. Like me, I'm
- 1:45Speaker 3: over here getting thirty eight shots in my head today
- 1:47Speaker 3: botox treatment. By the way, it was intentional, and he's
- 1:53Speaker 3: just like, oh, yeah, I'm good, I'm chilling, Like I
- 1:56Speaker 3: wore a mask to get the botox treatment. I called
- 1:58Speaker 3: my doctor's office, like I had the whole thing. It
- 2:01Speaker 3: was like, I'm not showing any symptoms yet, and of
- 2:04Speaker 3: course I start showing symptoms as soon as I leave.
- 2:07Speaker 3: So yeah, no, yay, but not really. So we everybody,
- 2:16Speaker 3: because we said all that before, I was supposed to say.
- 2:20Speaker 2: We are going to be talking, uh, some news, some rumors.
- 2:26Speaker 2: We are going to be discussing a new galaxy map
- 2:30Speaker 2: that Star Wars has. I have questions, you'll have questions.
- 2:36Speaker 3: I can hopefully answer them.
- 2:39Speaker 2: I think you technically already have, but because you shared,
- 2:43Speaker 2: you shared the post and I was like, what in
- 2:45Speaker 2: the world. But it's it's a fun little discovery. We'll
- 2:50Speaker 2: talk about that. And of course, our main talk topic
- 2:53Speaker 2: tonight is Young Jedi Adventures Season two, Part two, which
- 2:59Speaker 2: did debut Mark and Mark, but we've had a very
- 3:06Speaker 2: busy schedule and so we are just now getting to it.
- 3:09Speaker 3: So before we get into the news, guys, we talked
- 3:12Speaker 3: about this last week and on our trials of the
- 3:15Speaker 3: Jedi episode. But I just want to shout out this account.
- 3:23Speaker 3: If you're here with us on YouTube, this is the
- 3:26Speaker 3: Star Wars now This user name all one word. As
- 3:30Speaker 3: per usual on the Twitter verse, this is Star Wars Now.
- 3:34Speaker 3: This is podcasting. I did a little bit of research
- 3:36Speaker 3: because I'd never heard of this person before, or it's
- 3:39Speaker 3: been a long time since I've heard of them. But
- 3:42Speaker 3: they shout us out for their our five year anniversary
- 3:46Speaker 3: last week. I feel bad because I didn't say anything
- 3:52Speaker 3: on Twitter, but I'm not a social media user really anymore,
- 3:57Speaker 3: so I want to shout them out now. They are
- 4:01Speaker 3: basically history podcasts. They go through basically every Star Wars
- 4:05Speaker 3: podcast and post five year, ten year anniversaries and stuff,
- 4:09Speaker 3: and you can see we premiered five years ago June eleventh,
- 4:16Speaker 3: twenty twenty. Wow, it's a long time. This is four
- 4:22Speaker 3: houses ago. This picture that I am in with Nathan
- 4:25Speaker 3: over here like this, I don't even remember what that
- 4:30Speaker 3: room looks like.
- 4:32Speaker 2: That's how old this is.
- 4:34Speaker 3: But we have are celebrating five years, guys. It's been
- 4:39Speaker 3: a blast. We are going to do a joint probably
- 4:43Speaker 3: Geek vers Geek Ultimate Alliance podcast just to kind of
- 4:48Speaker 3: celebrate Geek Versus ten year and gu is five year,
- 4:52Speaker 3: but details to be announced, guys. But what a transition
- 4:59Speaker 3: as it has. Then, Really appreciate Star Wars Now this
- 5:02Speaker 3: for capturing this because I like. It got posted on
- 5:05Speaker 3: my Instagram too, so at least like I'm using my
- 5:08Speaker 3: Instagram as like a history page.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Like what I was very I was very surprised when
- 5:15Speaker 2: I saw this in our in our group chat, when
- 5:19Speaker 2: you were like, hey, I don't know who these people are,
- 5:21Speaker 2: but look at this. I thought that was really really cool.
- 5:27Speaker 2: I want to thank these people for for doing this
- 5:31Speaker 2: and showing the history of us. And yeah, if you
- 5:36Speaker 2: if you want to hear us gush about the five
- 5:39Speaker 2: long years that we've been doing this. Uh, go check
- 5:43Speaker 2: out our Trials of the Jedi review. Yeah, it is out.
- 5:51Speaker 2: It is a full spoiler review. That's something that.
- 5:55Speaker 3: We very important.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Yeah, so go check all of that out.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Yes, but Daniel because his name is in the post
- 6:07Speaker 3: that I'm no longer sharing of course because I clicked
- 6:09Speaker 3: out of it for some reason. Ah, yes, thanks for sharing.
- 6:14Speaker 3: It really is a fun trip down memory name memory land.
- 6:18Speaker 3: And it looks like you can go to Star Wars
- 6:22Speaker 3: now this dot com and click at your show if
- 6:25Speaker 3: you are a Star Wars podcaster, and that gets you
- 6:29Speaker 3: onto the feeds. I never did this, so I don't
- 6:32Speaker 3: know where this came from. But oh I got a
- 6:36Speaker 3: four or three forbidden, so it looks like the website babe. Anyways, Daniel,
- 6:45Speaker 3: thanks again.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Yes again, very much appreciated, love the love and support.
- 6:54Speaker 2: But Katie, where do you want to start as far
- 6:59Speaker 2: as news goes.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Let's talk about this galaxy map because the rest of
- 7:06Speaker 3: it is kind of rubermil and you have questions about
- 7:12Speaker 3: the map. So, guys, there was a galaxy map that
- 7:17Speaker 3: came out with I'm going to say the first edition
- 7:21Speaker 3: of Star Wars Timelines, because as we know, the timeline
- 7:23Speaker 3: is always expanding. There's going to be future editions, guys.
- 7:29Speaker 3: But there was a map that came out with Timelines
- 7:32Speaker 3: one and star Wars dot Com initially published the map
- 7:39Speaker 3: online as it is now and everything, but they took
- 7:45Speaker 3: it down. Jason Frey posted this to his sub stack,
- 7:48Speaker 3: which I need to follow, but he posted it. He said,
- 7:53Speaker 3: there's going to be a great effort to keep it
- 7:55Speaker 3: up to date. It's very traditional. You can see the
- 8:00Speaker 3: letters of the alphabet on the horizontal axis and then
- 8:03Speaker 3: on the vertical access you have I think it's one
- 8:07Speaker 3: through twenty on here. Yeah, one through twenty one, So
- 8:13Speaker 3: that tells you kind of which square you're in and
- 8:17Speaker 3: where like you can go locate the planets that way.
- 8:20Speaker 3: There is a full appendix, guys. This appendix is fifty
- 8:26Speaker 3: nine pages long. There's work into this, but that appendix
- 8:33Speaker 3: has the planet name, the sector, the region, and where
- 8:40Speaker 3: you can find that on the map. So like one
- 8:43Speaker 3: of the updates that they made was actually taking Camino
- 8:47Speaker 3: off the map and marking it along with Paridia as
- 8:52Speaker 3: quote extragalactic. I don't know what that means, but it
- 9:00Speaker 3: intrigues me because did you just put it on there
- 9:04Speaker 3: because you truly aren't sure where it is because it's
- 9:07Speaker 3: never been like a canon reference to like what sector,
- 9:11Speaker 3: what region it is. But then you have Aten, which
- 9:16Speaker 3: leads to your question, Clay, Yeah, oh wait, let me
- 9:21Speaker 3: finish the Comuno, thank you first. So Camino we know
- 9:25Speaker 3: is near the Rishi moons. Rishi is in sector or
- 9:30Speaker 3: I'm not gonna say sector. It's in the cube S fifteen,
- 9:35Speaker 3: so it is close to the boundaries of known space.
- 9:43Speaker 3: But there's your reference point kind of for if you
- 9:46Speaker 3: would like to imagine where Camino is, that's what you
- 9:49Speaker 3: can do. So I somebody pointed this out on the
- 9:56Speaker 3: Twitter because you and I don't have time to go
- 10:00Speaker 3: through this map. Cube by cube and figure out what's
- 10:03Speaker 3: next to each other. Oughton and Dathamire are right next
- 10:09Speaker 3: to each other on this map, basically.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Like almost touching. That is how close they are. I'm
- 10:18Speaker 2: actually looking at it right now. And my big thing
- 10:25Speaker 2: is uh. You had said, oh, well, you know there
- 10:31Speaker 2: is enough space between them, because again, guys, this isn't
- 10:35Speaker 2: actual size. This is correct, literally a galaxy. You said
- 10:42Speaker 2: enough square.
- 10:43Speaker 3: One square, guys, I'm looking at the key on this. Sorry,
- 10:46Speaker 3: this is important. One square equals five thousand light years. Gil,
- 10:53Speaker 3: you could still have to make a hyperspace jump.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Yeah, that that is true. That is very true. My
- 11:01Speaker 2: thing was, uh, and I would have to go into
- 11:09Speaker 2: a lot of this to see if there's other planets
- 11:14Speaker 2: around at Aten and Datha mere because my big thing
- 11:21Speaker 2: is at Aten was hidden quote unquote hidden, but at
- 11:29Speaker 2: the same time it wasn't so hidden because there was
- 11:33Speaker 2: a literal gas storm hiding the planet. You would think,
- 11:41Speaker 2: if Datha Meir is within the known region of the galaxy,
- 11:50Speaker 2: how the hell did nobody find at at.
- 11:59Speaker 3: You would be surprised. So at Aton and Datham, your guys,
- 12:02Speaker 3: for reference, is.
- 12:04Speaker 4: In in six on the galaxy map. If you wanted
- 12:10Speaker 4: to follow along with us, so you would think.
- 12:16Speaker 3: But remember like some of these planets had not been
- 12:21Speaker 3: discovered yet in the High Republic era, and you could
- 12:25Speaker 3: literally be staring at it and go, I don't know
- 12:27Speaker 3: what planet I'm looking at. So to me, this makes
- 12:31Speaker 3: sense that gas storms because remember the other thing with like,
- 12:41Speaker 3: oh gosh, what's the plan Kessel run? The Kessel run
- 12:44Speaker 3: in twelve parsex. Remember, nobody had ever made the Kessel
- 12:47Speaker 3: run in twelve parsecs because they hadn't gone through the
- 12:51Speaker 3: gas storm. Going through gas storms and everything requires a
- 12:55Speaker 3: lot of risk. That's why Planet X probably never discovered.
- 13:01Speaker 3: I mean, is it on this map? I don't think
- 13:03Speaker 3: it is. Oh, I'm gonna have to look now, I'm
- 13:10Speaker 3: gonna have to go look.
- 13:11Speaker 2: I will. I think it would be very Oh well,
- 13:16Speaker 2: you know what, I can't say that. I can't say that.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Is that too much of a spoiler? Uh?
- 13:22Speaker 2: Well, the book has been out, but it hasn't been
- 13:25Speaker 2: out for two weeks yet, and I think that is
- 13:27Speaker 2: like the rule for spoilers.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Yeah, you are right, but.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Planet X is known to also be a quote unquote
- 13:42Speaker 2: hidden planet. I think it would be a little fun
- 13:48Speaker 2: if they intentionally left out planet X.
- 13:54Speaker 3: Yeah, it looks like it's not on here, just in
- 13:59Speaker 3: case who were curious. So uh yeah, So there's a
- 14:07Speaker 3: lot of fun to be had with this, guys. Remember
- 14:12Speaker 3: there's fifty nine pages of planets. Yeah, there's fifty nine pages,
- 14:22Speaker 3: and the fifty ninth page is not filled in, so
- 14:25Speaker 3: really it's like fifty eight and a half pages, and
- 14:30Speaker 3: there's a lot of planets per column on this. There's
- 14:35Speaker 3: two columns, and there's a lot of planets per column.
- 14:39Speaker 3: So I think the last time somebody accurately counted this
- 14:43Speaker 3: it was in like the close to eight hundred planets range. Yeah,
- 14:49Speaker 3: so just take that with a grain of salt, guy,
- 14:51Speaker 3: not like a grain of salt, Like, hey, we don't
- 14:53Speaker 3: believe this. This is on Star Wars dot com. We
- 14:55Speaker 3: believe this map.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Yes, but.
- 15:01Speaker 3: There's a lot of knowledge to be had here, Like,
- 15:05Speaker 3: for instance, just because I found this super interesting and
- 15:09Speaker 3: I'm gonna share my screen because I should have been
- 15:11Speaker 3: doing this the whole damn time. So oh it zoomed out?
- 15:19Speaker 3: Why did you do that? So Illam is in the
- 15:22Speaker 3: Unknown Regions, but you want to know what also is
- 15:26Speaker 3: in the Unknown regions, Scilla, which is the Chisholme World
- 15:32Speaker 3: planet and right over here approximately five thousand light years
- 15:38Speaker 3: away because they're only realistically two cubes away. It's exa wow, Like, omg,
- 15:50Speaker 3: somebody posted this on Twitter, but I agree, like I
- 15:53Speaker 3: want to hear the stories that have come out of this.
- 15:57Speaker 3: But then like you have over here in the oh gosh,
- 16:03Speaker 3: this map does not want to cooperate. In the lower
- 16:07Speaker 3: parts of the unknown regions. You have san and lyrics
- 16:14Speaker 3: on which is the two planets from rebels that uh
- 16:18Speaker 3: Zep's people go to. Yeah, so one of them is
- 16:24Speaker 3: the homeworld and then the other one is the planet
- 16:26Speaker 3: they go to. So I find this super interesting. If
- 16:31Speaker 3: I had more time, I would definitely be diving into it, guys.
- 16:35Speaker 3: But that is why I primarily use social media so
- 16:39Speaker 3: other people can tell me these things.
- 16:44Speaker 2: And this is a huge map, guys, Like you literally
- 16:48Speaker 2: could like I could. I could see, like, especially for
- 16:54Speaker 2: people who are joining the team uh for Random House
- 16:59Speaker 2: Worlds and Disney books to make Star Wars novels, they
- 17:03Speaker 2: can be like, hey, here's the galaxy map. Have fun,
- 17:07Speaker 2: you know. So I could definitely see this being a
- 17:12Speaker 2: great tool, And I can't wait for people to dive
- 17:17Speaker 2: in and to find some really fun Easter eggs and
- 17:21Speaker 2: stuff that are in here.
- 17:24Speaker 3: Yeah, yes, all right, So Clay, tell us where you
- 17:29Speaker 3: want to dive next, because my voice is starting to
- 17:31Speaker 3: give on me because I talk too much.
- 17:34Speaker 2: So let's talk about the Acolyte visual Guide. So well, actually, no, no, no,
- 17:53Speaker 2: let's let's not talk about the visual guide. Let's take
- 17:56Speaker 2: a step backwards into last week's disc ession with the
- 18:02Speaker 2: quote that we've all been talking about in the g
- 18:07Speaker 2: Wade chat and everything else.
- 18:10Speaker 3: All right, y'all, we're going to hit our first ad
- 18:12Speaker 3: break and we will be right back in three two one.
- 18:17Speaker 3: So the quote, guys, so if you weren't here last week,
- 18:20Speaker 3: we talked a lot about the and Or season two
- 18:23Speaker 3: interviews and everything, so the quote in particular is one
- 18:26Speaker 3: that we actually missed. It's and Or creator Tony Gilroy
- 18:29Speaker 3: told series writer Bo Willeman, the less you know about
- 18:35Speaker 3: Star Wars, the better quote. It's so invaluable to have
- 18:41Speaker 3: people involved in any Star Wars project who know all
- 18:44Speaker 3: of the cannon inside and out. But but also sometimes
- 18:50Speaker 3: that can be a bit distracting and overwhelming. I do
- 18:53Speaker 3: agree with this point when you haven't know it all,
- 18:55Speaker 3: like Dave Filoni for instance. Yes, yes, sometimes the connections
- 19:03Speaker 3: can all be very overwhelming. So someone like me, who's
- 19:08Speaker 3: able to be to not be distracted by some of
- 19:11Speaker 3: that stuff, hopefully was value at it.
- 19:18Speaker 2: A lot of people were very like, hey, I like this,
- 19:24Speaker 2: Hey I don't like this. I'm kind of in between,
- 19:28Speaker 2: because if you are on the outside looking in, you
- 19:36Speaker 2: can see, oh the value of Star Wars, the big
- 19:40Speaker 2: ip oh, but it's missing something. It's missing this. People
- 19:47Speaker 2: that are stuck in Star Wars will not see that.
- 19:54Speaker 2: So I think Gilroy having that perspective helped.
- 20:01Speaker 3: M. But I also think Leslie Headland, who and I
- 20:07Speaker 3: know you agree with this. I'm just jumping off what
- 20:09Speaker 3: you said. Leslie Headland, who said this probably three years
- 20:17Speaker 3: before the Accolyte ever came out. It was in that
- 20:20Speaker 3: big publication with Variety where they had Pedro Pascal, they
- 20:24Speaker 3: had Diego Luna, they had a Soak, they had Rosario Dolson.
- 20:29Speaker 3: Like Leslie Headland had a quote me in there talking about
- 20:32Speaker 3: her writer's room and was like, I brought people and
- 20:36Speaker 3: who have no idea what Star Wars is. I interview
- 20:40Speaker 3: them and everything, and they don't know what show they're
- 20:42Speaker 3: interviewing for and then they go, I go, hey, you've
- 20:45Speaker 3: got the job. You're writing for Star Wars. But like,
- 20:47Speaker 3: I've never seen a Star Wars movie in my entire life.
- 20:50Speaker 3: And she's like, that's a good thing, Like, and that's
- 20:53Speaker 3: that's basically like you have to look at this from
- 20:56Speaker 3: Tony Gilroy who's been in the business for a while.
- 20:58Speaker 3: He says things a lot more eloquently and probably pr
- 21:02Speaker 3: related than Leslie Headland, who has been in the business
- 21:05Speaker 3: but is also used to being underdog. And like, she
- 21:10Speaker 3: has said it more eloquently since. And Dan, who tweets
- 21:17Speaker 3: from s Centralized on Twitter, is the one who brought
- 21:24Speaker 3: this to my attention. And that's the tweet that I
- 21:27Speaker 3: shared in like all the chats and everything, and he said,
- 21:30Speaker 3: and people practically crucified Leslie Headland for this. He actually
- 21:33Speaker 3: didn't like the Acolyte. He thought it was poorly executed.
- 21:36Speaker 3: But this is the thing, guys. He's calling attention to
- 21:39Speaker 3: it because he knows that the critiques came for Leslie
- 21:44Speaker 3: Headland before her show even aired. When she said this,
- 21:49Speaker 3: yeah you did people, I'm not saying you people didn't
- 21:53Speaker 3: give the Acolyte time to marinate they just said, Oh,
- 21:57Speaker 3: there's a gay director who's the showrunner for this, and
- 22:01Speaker 3: she's hired a black woman to be the star in this.
- 22:07Speaker 3: I don't like this. Yeah, that's all this is. Yep,
- 22:16Speaker 3: And I agree with both showrunners. To be clear, I
- 22:19Speaker 3: don't Tony Gilroy for saying.
- 22:21Speaker 2: This, and but like I was saying, the reason why
- 22:26Speaker 2: I'm in both parties of Oh I like this and no,
- 22:31Speaker 2: I don't like this is because of the reasons you
- 22:36Speaker 2: were saying he is able because of the success of
- 22:42Speaker 2: and or to have this quote confidently after the fact, right.
- 22:53Speaker 2: But the thing is, continuity is important mm hm, the
- 23:01Speaker 2: events of the universe that you're playing, the Sandbucks that
- 23:04Speaker 2: you're playing in it is important. The smallest detail whatever,
- 23:12Speaker 2: Hey Gorman, it played a huge part in this season.
- 23:20Speaker 5: Absolutely without the history of Star Wars, Gilroy wouldn't have
- 23:30Speaker 5: been able to use that like it just it just
- 23:33Speaker 5: wouldn't like you know, So.
- 23:38Speaker 2: I think people do need to legitimate legitimize the phrasing
- 23:48Speaker 2: of take it with a grain of salt. Whenever somebody
- 23:52Speaker 2: knew is jumping into Star Wars and they're wanting to
- 23:56Speaker 2: put a new spin on the genre because just like
- 24:00Speaker 2: we said Star Wars is a genre. Yep, I agree.
- 24:08Speaker 2: So uh, from there, let's go ahead and take a
- 24:16Speaker 2: look at uh what I was gonna bring up next,
- 24:22Speaker 2: which was the Accolade Visual Guide expands on Darth Plagas
- 24:29Speaker 2: and the Sith in Cannon and ties into James Lucino
- 24:40Speaker 2: Lusino's Darth Plagas novel. So, Katie, how do you feel
- 24:45Speaker 2: about this?
- 24:47Speaker 3: I don't mind it because again I think we've proven, hey,
- 24:52Speaker 3: you can take things from Cannon and make it beautiful
- 24:56Speaker 3: or from Legends, excuse me, and make it beautiful. Yes.
- 25:01Speaker 3: So this is a summary from uh the hollofiles dot
- 25:06Speaker 3: com and it's the article titled eleven things we learned
- 25:09Speaker 3: from the act like Visual Guide. So one of the
- 25:13Speaker 3: things in this is that the visual Guide actually names
- 25:18Speaker 3: the planet that the Stranger is on with oh my gosh,
- 25:23Speaker 3: what's her name? Uh? Oh gosh, I can't think of
- 25:28Speaker 3: her name. The planet that's featured with the Stranger where
- 25:34Speaker 3: he takes what's her name to? Oh my gosh? Anyways, uh,
- 25:38Speaker 3: Baldemic Baldiemnik. It canonizes that planet. This in Legends, this
- 25:48Speaker 3: is the planet where Darth Plagis killed his master, Darth
- 25:52Speaker 3: Tenibrous Plagis and Tenebris initially visited the planet because it
- 25:57Speaker 3: had a large resource of cortosis, the lightsaber resistant material
- 26:02Speaker 3: that Kimier uses for his helmet and gauntlet.
- 26:10Speaker 2: By the way, you're thinking of Osha, thank you.
- 26:14Speaker 3: I kept wanting to say, may I was like, I know,
- 26:17Speaker 3: that's not right. It confirms that the Sith were conquerors
- 26:27Speaker 3: initially and the Republic defeated them, which is another thing.
- 26:33Speaker 3: This statement in the Visual Guide is also in conjunction
- 26:36Speaker 3: with Star Wars twenty twenty number twenty, where else our
- 26:40Speaker 3: man makes an appearance in the planet with like the
- 26:44Speaker 3: memories held of the people, He said to Luke Skywalker,
- 26:49Speaker 3: this is what the order was for me, a golden
- 26:53Speaker 3: age about eight centuries after we ended the rule of
- 26:57Speaker 3: Sith board Darth Vaine. So that kind of gives you
- 27:01Speaker 3: a timeline for where Baine appears eight hundred years before
- 27:06Speaker 3: phase one of the High Republic.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:13Speaker 3: It also says that Kaimer has history with the Huts
- 27:17Speaker 3: and that potentially Kimer is actually older than he appears,
- 27:23Speaker 3: because one of the potions in the storehouse is a
- 27:29Speaker 3: rare nor inkle from Boothy four. The book goes on
- 27:34Speaker 3: to say that, oh, I'm sorry. The custom tank in
- 27:40Speaker 3: the storehouse houses a rare Norri inkle from Boothy four.
- 27:45Speaker 3: The nord Inkle has a its fins secrete and oily
- 27:50Speaker 3: serum that revitalizes age skin and eliminates wrinkles. Skincare got it.
- 27:59Speaker 2: So, so this is why there is such a sense
- 28:07Speaker 2: of shock when Vernestra since his because she thought he
- 28:17Speaker 2: was long dead and.
- 28:18Speaker 3: Gone, especially for a human. If we don't get an
- 28:25Speaker 3: and Er season two, I really hope Leslie Headlin goes
- 28:28Speaker 3: fuck it. I'll write and or season two in a book.
- 28:33Speaker 3: I don't think she would. She gets paid too much money. Acolyte,
- 28:38Speaker 3: why did I say? And oh my goodness, it's been
- 28:40Speaker 3: a long week, guys. I've slept on the floor for
- 28:43Speaker 3: two nights. So and I love this next fact. In
- 28:52Speaker 3: episode five of The Acolyte, the Stranger had had fans
- 28:57Speaker 3: drop when he announced him as a However, the visual
- 29:02Speaker 3: guide introduces the idea that the Stranger may not be
- 29:05Speaker 3: a Sith. After all, it isn't entirely possible. He is
- 29:09Speaker 3: a pretender to the Sith lineage. Whether he is the
- 29:12Speaker 3: true heir to the Sith is a mystery. No one
- 29:14Speaker 3: will survive to solve hah. Now, And you can say
- 29:19Speaker 3: all you want that books should not have to.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Tell you Elane. But here's here's the thing though, what
- 29:29Speaker 2: sith lie, why villains lie? But what pisses me off
- 29:36Speaker 2: more is, hey, guys, we could have figured that out.
- 29:39Speaker 2: We could have had answers to whether he is a
- 29:43Speaker 2: Sith or not. But accidence. Yeah, so I I think
- 29:53Speaker 2: this is fun. I think it's playing along with uh
- 29:57Speaker 2: a lot of what the fans of the High Republic
- 30:01Speaker 2: and of the Acolyte once. There's so much I want
- 30:05Speaker 2: to say right here because of the chapter we talked
- 30:08Speaker 2: about in Trials Jedi.
- 30:12Speaker 3: Give it a month.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll give it a little bit. We'll give it
- 30:16Speaker 2: a little bit. I will just say this, people, if
- 30:18Speaker 2: you are not reading Trials of Jedi, you should definitely
- 30:21Speaker 2: read it and just leave a little footnote in your head.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Chapter forty, Chapter forty, it's a good one. The next
- 30:33Speaker 2: piece on here, along with the whole set thing. I
- 30:41Speaker 2: did see this The presence of Darth Plagus in the
- 30:46Speaker 2: series heavily implied that Plagas was the Stranger slash Chimer's master,
- 30:52Speaker 2: but it also is possible that Kimer is, as the
- 30:55Speaker 2: visual guy suggests, simply an imitator, someone who admires the
- 31:00Speaker 2: Sith and which is to be one but actually is
- 31:02Speaker 2: not one. So here is something that, again we could
- 31:07Speaker 2: have seen, but you know, don't get to have that anymore.
- 31:11Speaker 2: How wild would it have been if not.
- 31:15Speaker 3: Even Kimier and Pelag's fight, if.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Kimer didn't even know Plagis was there?
- 31:25Speaker 3: Yep, Like he is like, hey, I don't have an
- 31:28Speaker 3: apprentice yet he.
- 31:30Speaker 2: Is literally a shadow. Yeah, Like he's like.
- 31:35Speaker 3: Who is this person claiming to be a sick? Because
- 31:39Speaker 3: the Jedi all know about the Sith, it is shown
- 31:43Speaker 3: through the Higher Republic, It's shown through the prequel trilogy.
- 31:45Speaker 3: The Sith have existed, but they don't big big air
- 31:51Speaker 3: quotes currently exist according to the Jedi, because they've been
- 31:55Speaker 3: in hiding to the Sith. The Jedi don't know that obviously,
- 32:01Speaker 3: So Kaimer, we know, was the Jedi pad one, he
- 32:06Speaker 3: could have easily learned about the scythe and Gun. Yeah,
- 32:08Speaker 3: I want to learn about that. I want to be that.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:14Speaker 3: The rest of this article is kind of doesn't really
- 32:20Speaker 3: relate to players, but I still find it interesting. Uh
- 32:23Speaker 3: not this one really because I kind of assumed this
- 32:26Speaker 3: when Osha put the helmet on, but the stranger can't
- 32:28Speaker 3: actually see how it was helmet. He uses it like
- 32:30Speaker 3: Luke uses the Black shield. It. The robes that Vernestra
- 32:38Speaker 3: is wearing to the Senate Building is actually made from
- 32:44Speaker 3: gore silk, which is the connection between the Acolytes and
- 32:48Speaker 3: and or the Boken Jedi are actually explained as well,
- 32:55Speaker 3: building a connection for Soka where Balin's skull he describes
- 33:01Speaker 3: the class of Jedi known as the Boken Jedi. Then
- 33:05Speaker 3: it's shown that basically they're wind sabers that some Jedi
- 33:13Speaker 3: used to train so that they can safely train and
- 33:19Speaker 3: then tumble in lightsabers when needed, So that appears with
- 33:27Speaker 3: Jackie Lawn's picture. In the visual Guide, your Fandar is
- 33:33Speaker 3: shown to be from Aldaron, and it is said that
- 33:38Speaker 3: Corascan holds, Oh my gosh, it is nine gazillion or
- 33:44Speaker 3: two gazillion, nine hundred and eighty one trillion, seven hundred
- 33:48Speaker 3: eighty million people, which is three hundred and seventy times
- 33:52Speaker 3: more than the population of Earth. That's how many people
- 33:55Speaker 3: is on Courshant.
- 33:57Speaker 2: I think it's actually hilarious because if you were to
- 34:00Speaker 2: actually go back to the galaxy map, Corossot looks like
- 34:05Speaker 2: it's a little bit bigger than most of the other
- 34:09Speaker 2: planets around it, and I'm like, yeah, it kind of
- 34:13Speaker 2: has to be. I just I think that's really really
- 34:17Speaker 2: fun and really cool. The what did you feel? I
- 34:28Speaker 2: don't know if you've read this part yet, but it
- 34:30Speaker 2: does say that OSHA's profession originates from the Huts. Says
- 34:35Speaker 2: here that mechnic is a hut EA's word for a profession.
- 34:41Speaker 2: They originated long ago cheap labor as starship mechanics in
- 34:45Speaker 2: exchange for lodging aboard a host vessel. The host or
- 34:49Speaker 2: the Huts sorry, ever, eager to demonstrate superiority, took pride
- 34:54Speaker 2: in the number of thralls they had under their command,
- 34:57Speaker 2: willing to risk life for the or whims.
- 35:01Speaker 3: I think this makes a lot of sense. We know
- 35:03Speaker 3: the Huts had built a very big black market trading
- 35:10Speaker 3: realm for themselves. It's even listed as a section on
- 35:14Speaker 3: the Galactic Map of all things, so I feel like
- 35:21Speaker 3: this makes a lot of sense. I also, Mickey seventeen
- 35:27Speaker 3: is available on HBO Max Max whatever they want to
- 35:31Speaker 3: call themselves now, But it's like a very similar principle.
- 35:35Speaker 3: A lot of times people are willing to trade labor
- 35:37Speaker 3: for travel. So I think this makes a lot of
- 35:41Speaker 3: sense in Osha trying to find herself in this realm
- 35:46Speaker 3: where she doesn't know where she belongs. It's a job
- 35:50Speaker 3: that allows her to go wherever she pleases kind of thing. Yeah, yeah,
- 35:55Speaker 3: how do you feel about it?
- 35:57Speaker 2: I think this is fun. But all so, I think
- 36:00Speaker 2: that this also speaks to the like you were saying.
- 36:05Speaker 3: What the fuck?
- 36:06Speaker 6: I'm sorry, this is totally unrelated to Star Wars. The
- 36:16Speaker 6: Hollywood Reporter, Sorry, guys, this is very shocking for me.
- 36:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I just saw it.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Dinny, I don't know how to pronounce his last name.
- 36:27Speaker 3: The Dune director.
- 36:28Speaker 2: Villain yea Villa, Yeah, Ville, nueve Ville neve like there's
- 36:34Speaker 2: people say it differently.
- 36:36Speaker 3: Sorry. He's going to direct the next James Bond movie
- 36:40Speaker 3: for Amazon. MGM. I didn't really see that happening.
- 36:46Speaker 2: I'm really surprised he is. Uh Now, I do believe
- 36:51Speaker 2: the only reason why he would do this is if
- 36:53Speaker 2: they did some sort of contract for theatrical release. I
- 36:57Speaker 2: don't believe. I don't believe he would have agreed to
- 37:01Speaker 2: it without a theatrical release.
- 37:04Speaker 3: Especially after Warner Bros. With the Max release and everything.
- 37:08Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 37:11Speaker 3: Totally unrelated to Star Wars news, but uh, it was like.
- 37:17Speaker 2: That's a big name too. That is really shocking. No,
- 37:22Speaker 2: but like you were saying, I do believe that the
- 37:26Speaker 2: this holds like the fact that like the Huts hold
- 37:33Speaker 2: so much within the known galaxy, to the to the
- 37:37Speaker 2: fact that like slang is being used in a like
- 37:42Speaker 2: almost professional fashion throughout the galaxy. I think, you know,
- 37:50Speaker 2: speaks volumes to how big of a quote unquote empire
- 37:54Speaker 2: the Huts have. So I think that is really really cool.
- 38:01Speaker 2: And again, I think it's cool because it shows the
- 38:05Speaker 2: inner workings of class within a broad a very broad galaxy. Yeah,
- 38:14Speaker 2: so that I think that's why it's so cool. But yeah,
- 38:18Speaker 2: that's uh. On this on this Hollo files, that's kind
- 38:21Speaker 2: of the last thing that it kind of highlights. Again, guys,
- 38:24Speaker 2: this is the Acolyte Visual Guide. This is something that
- 38:28Speaker 2: I currently don't own, but with these these little snippets,
- 38:32Speaker 2: I think I might actually go out.
- 38:34Speaker 3: And yeah, this will be a purchase for me, like
- 38:39Speaker 3: once the price comes down and once I move, because
- 38:42Speaker 3: like we're under contract right now, guys, So I'm like
- 38:46Speaker 3: I'm avoiding buying like big book purchases, but like keeping
- 38:50Speaker 3: enough to keep my can shelf up to date with
- 38:53Speaker 3: hardcovers because that's important to me. So like, I haven't
- 38:58Speaker 3: bought Ah Soka season one trade paperback because I know
- 39:02Speaker 3: that book's gonna be around for a hot minute. So yeah, okay.
- 39:08Speaker 3: So the next bit of news, guys, comes from Daniel RpK.
- 39:11Speaker 3: So big Rubormill, We're gonna go into our second ad
- 39:16Speaker 3: break and we'll be right back. So the first bit
- 39:21Speaker 3: from Daniel RpK. He says that the new Jedi Order
- 39:25Speaker 3: movie starring Daisy Ridley as Ray is reportedly on hold
- 39:29Speaker 3: again guys, production, it happens. It sucks that we have
- 39:36Speaker 3: to hear all of these updates, but this is.
- 39:40Speaker 2: And I think a lot of people are kind of
- 39:43Speaker 2: in the same uh kind of thinking as Snell is.
- 39:51Speaker 2: When we shared this news in our gua chat, Snell's like,
- 39:55Speaker 2: oh wow, the one that I actually want to see
- 39:58Speaker 2: is the one that's being held back. I think people
- 40:03Speaker 2: do want progression, they want to move forward. I am
- 40:09Speaker 2: a really big nerd whenever it comes to my fantasy
- 40:15Speaker 2: worlds that I get into, So I like the backstory.
- 40:18Speaker 2: I like the history of it all. So I do
- 40:21Speaker 2: still love the idea of Dawn of the Jedi, but
- 40:25Speaker 2: with where we left off with Ray Skywalker and you know,
- 40:31Speaker 2: the you know, I really did feel like the lack
- 40:36Speaker 2: of a true real performance from Daisy to really stand
- 40:41Speaker 2: on her own we never got and so like there's
- 40:46Speaker 2: a chance to get that, and it just keeps getting
- 40:51Speaker 2: pushed back, especially with.
- 40:53Speaker 3: The first female director for Star Wars on the line
- 40:57Speaker 3: for a Star Wars movie, to be precise, like we
- 41:01Speaker 3: had Patty Jenkins up for grabs, and then her movie
- 41:06Speaker 3: is on hold, and now this one's on hold. And
- 41:08Speaker 3: now granted Star Wars movies are always on hold. Again,
- 41:14Speaker 3: you don't get this stuff if it's not an ip. Like,
- 41:19Speaker 3: the only reason we have those guys is because it's
- 41:22Speaker 3: one of the top four movie franchises. Like it is
- 41:28Speaker 3: what it is. So the other bit of this is,
- 41:32Speaker 3: like Clay said, the Dawn of the Jedi movie seems
- 41:34Speaker 3: to be moving forward. James Mangold didn't have another project
- 41:40Speaker 3: associated with himself after his movie that released this past
- 41:47Speaker 3: Decimber with oh my gosh, it's the Dune Kid.
- 41:57Speaker 2: Oh uh uh uh Charlemagne, Yeah, Timothy Charlemagne.
- 42:06Speaker 3: Charlama, so he didn't have another project. So James Mangold's
- 42:12Speaker 3: movie Moving Forward absolutely makes sense. At the end of
- 42:16Speaker 3: the day, it just sucks for Ray, It sucks for
- 42:21Speaker 3: Obeyed SHANOI on the current director on the movie. I
- 42:26Speaker 3: would just love to see that progress. So yeah, yeah,
- 42:35Speaker 3: uh go ahead.
- 42:38Speaker 2: Well I was gonna say, do you do you want
- 42:41Speaker 2: to hit the next one or do you want me
- 42:42Speaker 2: to go ahead? Okay, So technically in the timeline of
- 42:48Speaker 2: us receiving these, uh, the next one is Dakote Johnson
- 42:54Speaker 2: is reportedly being eyed for a major role in an
- 42:57Speaker 2: upcoming Star Wars project. Of course this is coming for
- 43:00Speaker 2: Daniel Arkka again, I shared.
- 43:06Speaker 3: Back so hard, don't you me. I think Dakota Johnson
- 43:11Speaker 3: has done incredible in some of her projects. I think
- 43:14Speaker 3: her agent makes bad choices for the scripts that she
- 43:18Speaker 3: gets set.
- 43:20Speaker 2: I have quickly realized because this was actually another conversation
- 43:26Speaker 2: that was going around in the GUA chat that I
- 43:30Speaker 2: have not seen, Like, I'm pretty sure ninety nine point
- 43:36Speaker 2: nine percent of Dakota Johnson's movies I just know of her.
- 43:43Speaker 3: I'm sorry, so one of I would I will call
- 43:48Speaker 3: this one of the first dates that Matt and I had,
- 43:54Speaker 3: And this is because my mom doesn't listen to this
- 43:56Speaker 3: podcast that I'm saying this. He actually wanted to shave. Yeah,
- 44:02Speaker 3: the Fifty Shades hilarious. So we watched all three Fifty
- 44:08Speaker 3: Shades movies before we went to our technical first date,
- 44:12Speaker 3: which was the last Jedi. So that was why I
- 44:17Speaker 3: laughed so hard, is because every time that comes up,
- 44:20Speaker 3: I just can't help it but laugh, like what the fuck?
- 44:27Speaker 5: Uh?
- 44:27Speaker 2: But according to Snell, she like as long as it's
- 44:31Speaker 2: not a high budget, good like marketed movie, as long
- 44:38Speaker 2: as it's not that she's good. She's good all of
- 44:42Speaker 2: her b movies, but it's yeah, when they put her
- 44:45Speaker 2: in the spotlight is when she is not so great.
- 44:49Speaker 3: Now, speaking from a I don't I don't even know
- 44:54Speaker 3: how to put this. I did think she did well
- 44:57Speaker 3: in Fifty Shades, which was I would consider a collapse
- 45:00Speaker 3: because a lot of people were like, ooh, movie adaptation, okay,
- 45:05Speaker 3: porn like, so I would consider those a. I thought
- 45:10Speaker 3: she did wellands there's been other movies where I've been
- 45:13Speaker 3: like yeah, but like like you said, Bad Times at
- 45:19Speaker 3: the l Royale, I loved that movie, like I bought
- 45:22Speaker 3: the DVD for that because I loved it so much.
- 45:27Speaker 3: I haven't seen Madam Web yet.
- 45:29Speaker 2: I know that, Like, I still haven't seen it much,
- 45:33Speaker 2: and I'm just waiting for an opportunity for me to
- 45:35Speaker 2: be like, hey, I want to waste time and not
- 45:39Speaker 2: spend any money and just hope that it's already on
- 45:41Speaker 2: a streaming platform.
- 45:42Speaker 3: It is on Netflix, so I think Matt and I
- 45:45Speaker 3: will actually be watching that this weekend.
- 45:47Speaker 2: Oh wow, okay, okay, so yeah, I did share a
- 45:52Speaker 2: post of somebody saying I have a theory and it's
- 45:56Speaker 2: literally a picture of Dakota Johnson juxtapost was right next
- 46:00Speaker 2: to a portrait of Mara Jade.
- 46:06Speaker 3: I need to get real close to my mic for this.
- 46:09Speaker 3: I do like Dakota Johnson. I don't think she's mar Jaide.
- 46:13Speaker 3: Thank you for your time. I will take no questions.
- 46:19Speaker 2: Well, for one, a little bit of an age gap
- 46:24Speaker 2: between mar Jade and Luke Skywalker if that's the case.
- 46:29Speaker 3: I mean yes, technically, but like mar Jade supposed to
- 46:39Speaker 3: have grown up with the Empire basically, like he freized
- 46:43Speaker 3: her as a child to become his assassin at the
- 46:48Speaker 3: end of the day. Now, I don't know if that's
- 46:54Speaker 3: like while he was a senator, while he was chancellor.
- 46:59Speaker 3: I don't really know. I'm curious now because I know
- 47:02Speaker 3: Legends has her exact birth year on it, So let
- 47:05Speaker 3: me pull that a profest. Oh, come on, Wikipedia, you
- 47:10Speaker 3: can do this. Born seventeen bby, so she is two
- 47:16Speaker 3: years younger then Luke Luke. Yeah, so I don't consider
- 47:24Speaker 3: that too much your nigga yet. Obviously, if she were
- 47:27Speaker 3: to play alongside Mark Hamill, that's.
- 47:29Speaker 2: Like, it's that's what that's that's more of what I meant.
- 47:32Speaker 2: But I'm saying that to say this. If they wanted
- 47:37Speaker 2: a Luke Skywalker alongside a Dakota Johnson mar Jade, they
- 47:41Speaker 2: would need to recast sorry o reco mundo. But I
- 47:48Speaker 2: could like see. This is where we get into our
- 47:54Speaker 2: conversation about genres. We are seeing from Dakota Johnson's actual
- 48:03Speaker 2: career path that she has a type of movie genre
- 48:12Speaker 2: that she is successful in.
- 48:15Speaker 3: M HM.
- 48:16Speaker 2: Can Star Wars? Can lucasfilm successfully pull off that kind
- 48:26Speaker 2: of genre without the known Star Wars heroes.
- 48:34Speaker 3: I feel like she could do well with Sean Levy
- 48:39Speaker 3: or James Mancled knowing their type of movie. I feel
- 48:46Speaker 3: like she could do well mm hmm. I don't know
- 48:52Speaker 3: if it's anybody else. So I feel like she will
- 48:56Speaker 3: be dressed up in some kind of alien like She'll
- 48:59Speaker 3: probably be a Twilight.
- 49:02Speaker 2: I could see that.
- 49:03Speaker 3: Because they want and this is just the sad thing
- 49:07Speaker 3: about executives, they want to capture the elements of people's
- 49:14Speaker 3: hey day, which is why you said, which is why
- 49:17Speaker 3: you hear some people are like, I don't want Hugh
- 49:19Speaker 3: Jackman in this. He just looks like Wolverine. Like you
- 49:23Speaker 3: cast some people for their prior roles, and in this case,
- 49:27Speaker 3: I could see them going Twilight just to try and
- 49:30Speaker 3: capture sex appeal.
- 49:31Speaker 2: I could see Twileck, but random thought and I don't
- 49:37Speaker 2: even like it myself. Massage venturess, yeah, I thought, so
- 49:46Speaker 2: yeah yeah.
- 49:47Speaker 3: No, like for the podcast listeners, I'm shaking my head
- 49:50Speaker 3: and now.
- 49:52Speaker 2: Yeah no. Like as soon as you said Twileck, I
- 49:55Speaker 2: was like, but there is a sage and I just
- 49:58Speaker 2: I can't see it. I can't see it.
- 50:01Speaker 3: Now, I don't. I also don't I would see Assage
- 50:04Speaker 3: being more used in like a SOAKA season two versus
- 50:08Speaker 3: like a movie live action wise, So I don't think
- 50:14Speaker 3: she would go to a TV show for Star Wars,
- 50:18Speaker 3: I would say movie.
- 50:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it'll be very interesting to see if she actually
- 50:26Speaker 2: accepts the offer. There hasn't been anything, of course. This
- 50:31Speaker 2: is just Daniel RpK saying, Hey, she is being considered
- 50:35Speaker 2: for a role in this project, in a.
- 50:38Speaker 3: Star Wars project. They don't even list what project.
- 50:41Speaker 2: Yeah, but that does lead us to our last Daniel Rbk, which.
- 50:46Speaker 3: Which may also lead us into a different episode because
- 50:53Speaker 3: I asked a question in the Star Wars lives Hut
- 50:56Speaker 3: and now I kind of want to plan a suicide
- 50:59Speaker 3: squad team Star Wars.
- 51:02Speaker 2: Uh so uh. Daniel RpK is saying that Judd Jude
- 51:09Speaker 2: Law from Skeleton Crew will reportedly return for other Star
- 51:14Speaker 2: Wars projects with an S.
- 51:18Speaker 3: Jacks, which we had talked about this when he was
- 51:22Speaker 3: first cast with the Dave Filoni Air to the Empire
- 51:26Speaker 3: movie that we're calling it because you really don't cast
- 51:32Speaker 3: Jude Law and go, oh, you're only going to be
- 51:34Speaker 3: in TV shows, so.
- 51:36Speaker 2: You're a one and done, like you you can't tell
- 51:39Speaker 2: that to Jude Law.
- 51:40Speaker 3: No, no you can't. So I could picture Air to
- 51:44Speaker 3: the Empire. I could also see this trilogy because I
- 51:49Speaker 3: didn't put that on the list for some reason that
- 51:51Speaker 3: Daniel Rpka also says that Mandelari and Grogu is going
- 51:55Speaker 3: to spawn its own trilogy of movies with I don't
- 52:01Speaker 3: really have a lot of thoughts on that because duh,
- 52:03Speaker 3: like you would hope that it would build more movies.
- 52:07Speaker 3: I don't know. So I could see him making appearances
- 52:12Speaker 3: and that, but I can also see if they wanted
- 52:14Speaker 3: to go, Hey, this suicide squad team is going to
- 52:18Speaker 3: go into the Imperial Remnant and tried to shut it down.
- 52:22Speaker 3: Maybe after like the Alphabet Squadron and stuff.
- 52:31Speaker 2: I am very curious of what will come of this
- 52:38Speaker 2: because of course, the last time we saw John he
- 52:41Speaker 2: was literally in at At and he was caught red handed.
- 52:48Speaker 2: You know, ships were coming in, people were about to
- 52:52Speaker 2: get rescued, and then camera turned around. He wasn't there.
- 52:56Speaker 2: He's just good. He dipped. So oh, you know he
- 53:02Speaker 2: is he still on that aton? Is he hiding? Was
- 53:04Speaker 2: he able to find a ship and get the hell
- 53:07Speaker 2: out of there? You know?
- 53:08Speaker 3: Is he going to connect with a throne and make
- 53:11Speaker 3: an appearance in a Sooka season two?
- 53:13Speaker 2: Yeah, Like, there's so many things that can happen, and
- 53:20Speaker 2: for the fact that he is a force sensitive individual
- 53:25Speaker 2: does open up a lot of possibilities. Correct, So it's
- 53:30Speaker 2: it's it's not just this like, oh, we have to
- 53:34Speaker 2: stay in this pocket of like, oh, he's a pirate,
- 53:37Speaker 2: he is just wanting to do all this for himself,
- 53:40Speaker 2: blah blah blah. He could be thrown into a much
- 53:44Speaker 2: bigger event that he may not even want to be
- 53:47Speaker 2: a part of. Correct, just for the fact that he
- 53:51Speaker 2: is a forced sensitive individual. So I think that brings
- 53:56Speaker 2: up a lot of great possibilities. Uh, but yeah, I'm
- 54:00Speaker 2: really interested, So so pitch me this idea that you have,
- 54:04Speaker 2: because I didn't really understand what you were talking about
- 54:08Speaker 2: when this announcement came.
- 54:10Speaker 3: So, like, he what if he's been captured by the
- 54:14Speaker 3: New Republic and he's just not relevant to the end
- 54:17Speaker 3: of the episode for her Skeleton Crew kind of thing.
- 54:21Speaker 3: So he's been put in prison by the New Republic.
- 54:25Speaker 3: Man Mathma, we know does not want to have a
- 54:27Speaker 3: military but what if she's willing to have a secret team.
- 54:34Speaker 3: We could see potentially the new Doctor Afra series is
- 54:38Speaker 3: happening after Return of the Jedi. Right now, what if
- 54:40Speaker 3: Doctor Afra leads the suicide squad team with all these
- 54:45Speaker 3: people that have been jailed by the New Republic, like Joed,
- 54:50Speaker 3: like Hondo.
- 54:53Speaker 2: I I would be down because I did say as
- 54:58Speaker 2: soon as you were like, oh, if there was a
- 55:00Speaker 2: suicide squad of the Star Wars universe, who would be
- 55:03Speaker 2: on that team? Honda would one Yes, So I would
- 55:10Speaker 2: totally be down. I think that's really really fun because
- 55:14Speaker 2: you could totally get really wacky with it, and I
- 55:17Speaker 2: think that would be the mark.
- 55:18Speaker 3: But we'd have to stick to a timeline because we
- 55:21Speaker 3: wanted to be legit. If these people go on missions.
- 55:24Speaker 2: Yes, yes, I think that it can be legit. But
- 55:27Speaker 2: I do think because of the nature of Star Wars,
- 55:33Speaker 2: it can. You could genuinely almost have a James Gunn
- 55:38Speaker 2: suicide Squad feeling without the necessary like rated are like
- 55:46Speaker 2: contextualize of suicide squad, you know. Uh So I think
- 55:50Speaker 2: you could still have the humor, you could still have
- 55:54Speaker 2: the violence, you could still have the quirkiness of every character.
- 56:00Speaker 2: And I think it would actually work really really well.
- 56:03Speaker 3: Lando Calarisian is Rick Flag.
- 56:13Speaker 2: I would actually love that. I think that would so well. Okay,
- 56:22Speaker 2: so here's here's the only problem though, Like he's he's
- 56:26Speaker 2: a Rick Flag that also is you know, a little
- 56:29Speaker 2: bit of a slot. I mean, yes, but he's also
- 56:38Speaker 2: kind of a quote unquote criminal himself. Of course he's
- 56:42Speaker 2: changed his ways after all the years of being with
- 56:46Speaker 2: the rebellion and everything else.
- 56:48Speaker 3: But like so you would say he would be like
- 56:50Speaker 3: the miss Frankenstein in like I would.
- 56:55Speaker 2: I would almost see him as a as a uh
- 57:00Speaker 2: bride of Frankenstein character. Yeah, we'll have to play with that.
- 57:06Speaker 2: That's that's it's such a fun concept. It really is.
- 57:11Speaker 2: It really really is. So I like that. I like
- 57:13Speaker 2: that a lot. E Is that the last bit of new.
- 57:20Speaker 3: I do believe that? Is it? The only link I
- 57:23Speaker 3: have up after this is the Young Jedi Adventures wiki page. Yes,
- 57:29Speaker 3: and we're about to jump into our third ad y'all.
- 57:33Speaker 3: We promise we'll be right back. We promise.
- 57:36Speaker 2: So, guys, we are off to our main topic, Young
- 57:42Speaker 2: Jedi Adventures Season two, Part two. Katie, did you watch
- 57:49Speaker 2: the entire thing?
- 57:51Speaker 3: I did, because Mara has been home all week and
- 57:55Speaker 3: I've had the TV on, Like, we've played Frozen, We've
- 57:58Speaker 3: played Mowana, we have played Miss Rachel all of these
- 58:03Speaker 3: things so I can try and work and entertain a
- 58:07Speaker 3: sick Toddler. I think Matt has done a better job
- 58:12Speaker 3: of limiting screen time. But also I'm like, we are
- 58:16Speaker 3: a big movie family. Matt and I fell in love
- 58:19Speaker 3: over movies, like yeah, so at some point I want
- 58:24Speaker 3: to have her start watching movies.
- 58:27Speaker 2: Yeah. So with amber Ln, we I will be completely
- 58:30Speaker 2: transparent right now because she's a little bit of a
- 58:33Speaker 2: Grimlin right now, and she is like demanding TV. She
- 58:39Speaker 2: is like blue Y now, blue Y now, or cars
- 58:43Speaker 2: tune now.
- 58:45Speaker 3: So she hasn't fallen in love with blue yet, thankfully,
- 58:48Speaker 3: I think. But like I turned on the TV this
- 58:51Speaker 3: morning and she goes hi and just sits there wayams
- 58:56Speaker 3: and I'm like that is adorable but also scary.
- 59:01Speaker 2: So we have been really fixated on literally doing everything
- 59:09Speaker 2: the opposite of what Amberlyn has been asking, because we're like, hey,
- 59:14Speaker 2: it's not all about you. You're not the center of
- 59:16Speaker 2: the universe. I love you, but we just can't just
- 59:19Speaker 2: always do what you want to do. Because I turn
- 59:22Speaker 2: on this and like as soon as she sees the
- 59:25Speaker 2: opening scene, she's like screaming her head off because it's
- 59:28Speaker 2: not Bluie. But then like five minutes in she's like
- 59:31Speaker 2: a zombie and just watches yep. So I only watched
- 59:40Speaker 2: because again with my procrastination ass. I was sitting here
- 59:49Speaker 2: the other day and I was like, Okay, Star Wars
- 59:52Speaker 2: Alliance is coming up. I should probably look at our
- 59:55Speaker 2: schedule to see what we're doing. Oh, we're watching it
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: entire half of a TV show and there's still two
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: days away from us recording.
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: For the record, guys, it's like six hours if that. Yeah,
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: it's eleven episodes.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: I think I think technically it's like five point two hours.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: Like it's it's it's not a whole lot.
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: The average still credit.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: Yeah, the average episode length is I think like twenty
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: six minutes.
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: I was able to watch like five episodes at work
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: before I had to move my desk out into a
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: much open area today where my boss was literally sitting
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: right behind me, and I'm just like, god, damn it. Uh.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: So I had to watch as much as I could
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: when I got home today, and I made it all
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: the way past episode nineteen, Journey to the Braka Bad
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: Lens and the Search of the Missing Dunal's or Donald's.
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: You missed the Cavin Scott episode because Calvin Scott wrote
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: Yoda Rescue.
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: Oh really?
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: Uh?
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: Huh oh, no, okay, so it's only it's only four episodes.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: That's two hours. I could probably watch that tonight actually
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: before bad. Yeah. But uh, like we always do with
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: these episodes, guys, we want to go ahead and make
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: everybody aware that we are aware that this is a
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: children's show. We understand that not everything Star Wars is
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: always for every fan, but we are two parents that
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: love Star Wars and would like to get our children
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: into Star Wars one day, and we think that this
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: is legitimately a really good way to ease them into
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: Star Wars. So with that, Katie, every single time we
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: do these we don't go episode by episode. We kind
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: of talked about the highlights, our favorite episodes, favorite storylines,
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: things like that. So I'm gonna give you the floor first,
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: since you have seen the entire second half of this season,
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: what stood out to you this second part of the
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: season compared to the first?
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: So I so I did go back to episode twelve,
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: which had or it looks like twelve released with this group,
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: so yes, it technically counts. So twelve I feel like
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: was meant to be like the mid season finale, and
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: maybe they just didn't get it finished. Enough, but un Mask,
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: which is episode twelve kind of highlights like the big
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: plug of the seasons where Kai is interacting with Cyrus
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: and trying to figure out who Tabar is, And in
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: this episode he actually figures out who Tabar is, which
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: is Cyrus, which the audience had known from the first
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: half of the season. But we really actually don't see
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: Tabor again until the back half of this part. So
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: a lot of the episodes end up being some character exploration,
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: Like we get Nubs with a big poobian and he
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: like starts to like figure out who he is and
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: kind of thing, and Lisa, uh, oh my gosh, it's
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: the Pantrren Lisa, Lisa, Uh.
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: I think it's is Is it Lisa or is it
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: just Lease? I think it's l y s. I think
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: that's what it is.
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: Okay, So we get like some episodes with her exploring
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: her animal connectivity. That's like the majority of this part
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: two of the season. I do feel like we got
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: some really good music with these episodes, and we also
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: had a lot of fun action moments, not just like oh,
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: this is like stellar lightsaber choreography. No, this is like
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: stuff to get kids entertained and go, oh, you spun
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: the lightsaber around a couple of times. Oh, that's so
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: much fun, Like I want to do that kind of thing.
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: It's a lot of cool kid centric fights. The fights
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: where Kai and Table are particularly Unmasked, I feel like,
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: are a lot of fun with like the moves they
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: have come up together with. Probably my favorite episodes of
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: this one is actually Unmasked, because I feel like that
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: was a really good episode, and then actually Yoda Rescue,
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: because I feel like Yoda Rescue had a very important lesson, like, hey,
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: we all need help, not just little kids, like even
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: the Grand Master of the Jedi Order needs help sometimes.
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: And actually, I'm going to ask you this question anyways,
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: even though you didn't get a chance to watch this episode,
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: I feel like Yoda Rescue basically the kids are looking
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: for Pergol songs to put into the Jedi Archive.
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: On to New Okay.
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: While they are recording the Pergol song, they come across
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: a transmission from Yoda who says his ship has crashed
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: and that he was on a mission that he must
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: continue soon.
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: And I feel.
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: This is the mission where he's trying to find Aslin
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: and is going from planet to planet trying to figure
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: out where Aslan went because that's who he brings back
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: in Midnight Horizon. So I one hundred percent, especially having
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: Cavin rite that episode, one hundred percent feel like we're
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: gonna see that because this fall comes season three part one.
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: Now I guess you can confirm for the last four episodes. Uh,
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: but that's kind of something that I did miss from
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: this second half, and it might have not even been
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: a part of the first half. It might have been
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: the second half of the first season. But we haven't
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: gotten any of our High Republic superstars like season one
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: had Bell Zetaphar. We haven't really seen anybody interact with
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: their kids here other than Yoda.
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: So yeah, I feel like that's intentional because they knew
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: because this came out March nineteenth. So I feel like
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: in the interest of, hey, we want to let the
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: book crew do their thing, they didn't have any superstars
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: come in. Yeah, and that way they didn't have to
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: interact and go hey, like blah blah blah blah. Like
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: we know Load and great Storm is still around in
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: one part, so like we don't exactly know when this
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: is taking place. I could see Belle coming back potentially
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: at the beginning of season three, but because when this
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: was probably filmed, they probably didn't have the finale books written,
- 1:07:52Speaker 3: so they wanted to give it a little bit of
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: breathing room. Yeah, I would love to see Ernstra come in.
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: Well, that's kind of That's kind of what I was thinking,
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: just because of we know the audience or the age
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: group that they're kind of aiming form. I think a
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: young Vernestra would work really really well in this aspect.
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: Yeah, especially and they may not want to do that
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: necessarily because she's so young, but she's a Jedi Knight,
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: which I could see being a thing. But I would
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: like them to begin to make those connections and go, hey,
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: we've already had this person in live action, what's the
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: big deal with putting her in animation?
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: And I also thought, even while watching the first half
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: of the second half, is like, wouldn't it be cool
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: if we got like Keldo and Tip Tep, Like, Yeah,
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: I think they would be perfect for these groups, especially.
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: Because they're young. Things like that totally makes sense, and
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: it's anime, so it would be super easy to draw
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: the alien figures because we really haven't seen a lot
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: of like stand out alien figures other than What's onto
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: New and a couple of the other main planets like
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: the Ice Planet and stuff. Yeah, so I could totally
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: see Kildo and Tap Tap making an appearance, but I
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: would rather get for Nest first. Yeah, selfish, kind of selfish.
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: I would. I would be happy with either one showing
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: up to be completely honest with you, but I to
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: to go along with what you were saying prior. I
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: think as of right now, Unmasked is my favorite episode
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: of this part two of season two. I still like.
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: I did like, uh, what was the the Puba Problems?
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: I did like that one. It kind of taught nubs like, hey,
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: you don't have to like pretend like you're like mister
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: macho or whatever. It's okay to ask for help and
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: all these other things, you know. Having that second part
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: of like a Saturday Morning cartoon lesson in there, I
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: did like that. But I really really really like the
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: uncertainty of the relationship between Kai and Cyrus. Yep, I
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: really love that because in Is It Upgraded is the
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: second appearance of.
- 1:10:58Speaker 3: And this should be our final ad break. So y'all,
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: thanks for bearing with us. We appreciate y'all, we'll be
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: right back. I think. So Tabor makes three appearances, so
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: he does Unmasked another episode and then the Battle of Tenure.
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: Okay, so yeah it is upgraded. Then in Upgraded is
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: when we really see he's kind of had enough. He
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: kind of he walks off the ship at the very
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: end and he just has this like solemn look of like, oh,
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: I've lost my friend, And just the emotional range between
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: these two characters on a kids show. I love when
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: they do this. Katie. I know you're a really big
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: fan of Avatar The Last Airbender again, another franchise that
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: was very prompt uh uh, promptly with the age group
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: of young children, still had a lot of emotional range,
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: big heart stories, deep stories, serious stories. And I got
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: a little glimmer of that with the conversations that Cyrus
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: and Kai were having in this part of the season.
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: You know, Kai is very nervous to bring up the
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: fact that he found out that you know, Cyrus's secret,
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: you know, with with finding his very first training play
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: and the mask, you know, and every single time he
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: saw him after that, he all he could see, he
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: couldn't even see Cyrus. All he saw was uh, oh, shoot,
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: what's the pirate's name? What does he called himself? His
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: his table? All he saw was table.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: And then when they go back to the temple and
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: like their masters like oh no, like Kai, are you okay?
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: You could just feel the weight that's on Kai. Like.
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: I just think it's like so good. How much storytelling
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: they're able to do with absolutely nothing but the animation.
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: I think that is great.
- 1:13:30Speaker 3: It's so impressive, and especially for a kid show, like
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: you want like, yes, you want the basic oh teamwork
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: makes the dream word lessons and stuff, but you also
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: want to allow those kids to feel and especially I
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: think nowadays it's even more important for parents to allow
- 1:13:52Speaker 3: the kids to feel like gentle parenting if you want
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: to call it that, but like allowing kids to feel
- 1:13:57Speaker 3: their own emotions and stuff, and so showcase that on
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: a young children's show is super important.
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Another highlight for me was The Helpful Harvester
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: was another episode that I really liked.
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: Ratslow is so funny. I love his transition from like
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: mainly villain to like helpful person.
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, but of course he still has the idea
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: of hey, I still need to get paid. I like money.
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: Oh I love people chanting my name, like, oh, this
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: is all for me? Uh so's he's kind of in
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: the gray area.
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: But I also really liked the oh shoot is it
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: Tino's fastest? Is that the racing one? Was that the
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: pod racing one.
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: To New's fastest? Yes?
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: Yeah, sorry, yeah to news fastest.
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: Because we have yet to talk about our pilot friend.
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: She Yeah, Nash is always ah a building block, a
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: pillar of this season of this show.
- 1:15:17Speaker 4: Uh.
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: I feel like I have seen less Nash in this
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: part of the season though.
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: So that's one thing that I do miss comparatively to uh,
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: you know, uh part one of season two.
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: In all of season one, Nash is a really fun character.
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: I really enjoy her. We get to see her moms
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: again uh in this episode. Uh. And I love like
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: the confidence and the lack of confidence that we see
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: in this episode from Nash as well.
- 1:15:56Speaker 3: Yeah. I feel like this part two of season two
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: had more episodes onto New, which was maybe why she
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: wasn't featured as much because typically she's definitely there with
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: off planet missions, but even like Yoda's rescue, for instance,
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: she's not present there like they the Jedi Padawans are
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: in like the Temple shuttle basically, so that is something
- 1:16:23Speaker 3: to bring up and definitely curious as to why they've
- 1:16:27Speaker 3: chosen they chose to minimize her. I don't think it's
- 1:16:30Speaker 3: because of her moms. I think her mom's made more
- 1:16:32Speaker 3: appearances in this part of the show than they have
- 1:16:37Speaker 3: in other parts.
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, for sure. Is there anything else that
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: you want to add?
- 1:16:48Speaker 3: Not really, I feel like we've talked about all of them.
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: These are always very simple reviews, guys. Again, like Clay said,
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: we talked about the highlights. This is kids show, so
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: there's really like now is probably the only critique that
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: we really have, but that's because we also recognize these
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: are for kids. We aren't the target audience, but we
- 1:17:09Speaker 3: can still have fun with them.
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: So yeah, I think I still think this is a
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: very fun show. Again, I can sometimes roll my eyes
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: at the Saturday Morning you know message that these episodes
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: usually have, but sometimes they are actually really freaking sweet,
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: and I'm like, yes, like, this is what I want
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: in a kids show, This is what I want Amberlyn
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: to be learning from this kind of situation. So yeah,
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: I really enjoy these. I do like that, although like
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: you said, we did have a majority of these episodes
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: take place in one planet, there was still a lot
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: of different settings. You still got to see a lot
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: of the galaxy, so that's really fun as well.
- 1:18:03Speaker 3: So Clay, where can they find you?
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: Of course you can always find me at Fanboy Clay
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: on Blue Sky, on threads, on Instagram, and on TikTok.
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: I have been slacking on the reading of this month.
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: I don't think I'm going to reach my goal with
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: only five days left, but I am planning on reading
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: quite a few books, which, by the way, we actually
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: got one.
- 1:18:37Speaker 3: Yes, The Batch Sanctuary came in our inboxes, guys. That
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: embargo for The Bad Bad Sanctuary. Just to make clear, people,
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: is up July twenty second. The book is out the
- 1:18:51Speaker 3: first week of August, so we will be reviewing that
- 1:18:55Speaker 3: book July twenty fourth on the live show. We will
- 1:18:59Speaker 3: have the new segment upfront, but then we will be
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: reviewing that book live on I think it's the twenty third,
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: because technically the episode goes up on the twenty fourth,
- 1:19:09Speaker 3: so that's what you can expect. We will make it
- 1:19:12Speaker 3: clear when we go into the review portion.
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: So yes, people, I'm going to be starting that this weekend,
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: so it's going to be very fun to get into that.
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: But yeah, we did not have an episode of Ranger
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: Alliance this week because of course, Jake is out on
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: a little bit of a vacation in a card game
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: tournament in Las Vegas. So expect to have one double
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: length episode come out next Monday for the two episodes
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: of Goh's Yogur that we will be reviewing. But other
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: than that, that is it, Katie. How about yourself, y'all.
- 1:19:59Speaker 3: You can find me on most social media platforms that
- 1:20:01Speaker 3: it's at Katie. Remember I'm basically a reader, but if
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: you've sent me a message, I will respond back to
- 1:20:08Speaker 3: you most of the time, uh this show. You can
- 1:20:17Speaker 3: shoot us a text at eight three zero five three
- 1:20:19Speaker 3: eight four eight to eight, or you can also leave
- 1:20:21Speaker 3: us a voicemail for the show. Just give us a nickname. Please,
- 1:20:26Speaker 3: we love you guys, talk to us. Clay has a
- 1:20:30Speaker 3: giveaway that he still hasn't given away a book for yeahs,
- 1:20:37Speaker 3: So you can also shoot us an email at Star
- 1:20:39Speaker 3: Wars Alliance at gmail dot com. Remember there's no A
- 1:20:43Speaker 3: in the Wars. It's very important, don't forget it. We're
- 1:20:45Speaker 3: not currently on social media. Clay and I keep talking
- 1:20:49Speaker 3: in the busyness gets the best of us. So with that, guys,
- 1:20:57Speaker 3: I want to wish everyone a great day or night,
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: whatever time day you are listening or watching, and we
- 1:21:01Speaker 3: will see y'all next time. May the forced to be
- 1:21:03Speaker 3: with you
