- 1:00[SPEAKER_00]: Today, I want to continue that conversation because business leaders are facing a new challenge that responsibility must address artificial intelligence is changing how we work it can write.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_00]: Analyze, create, summarize, and even make recommendations faster than ever before.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_00]: Here's the question every leader should be asking.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: Just because AI can, does that mean you should?
- 1:29[SPEAKER_00]: Look, technology has always changed.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_00]: work, especially in our generations over the last three to four decades, dramatically in small business.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_00]: This isn't the first technological revolution.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: I still clearly remember why 2K and what we were going through.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: I still clearly remember the internet.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: I still clearly remember the advent of social media.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, this is not going to be the last.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: Every advancement has promised greater efficiency and AI is no different.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_00]: It is an incredible tool and responsible leaders should be looking for ways to leverage it.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: The mistake isn't using AI.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: The mistake is believing AI removes the need for leadership.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: That's not an option for us.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: A report can be generated by AI, and email can be written by AI.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_00]: And a policy can be drafted by AI.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: But responsibility for those decisions still belong to the leader who chose AI to do those things.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: To the people who chose AI to propagate those things.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: Technology can assist your work, it cannot assume your accountability.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: Judgment is now becoming more valuable.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: Our experience, the way that we work with AI, how we make decisions and what to accept and what not to accept as information becomes easier to access, judgment becomes harder to replace.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: Anyone can generate answers, great leaders ask better questions.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: They challenge assumptions.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: They consider consequences.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: They think beyond efficiency and ask, is this the right decision for our customers, our employees, or our organization?
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: That's responsible influence.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: And look, we have evolved smart management to be and always be about disciplined thinking.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_00]: Long before AI, effective management wasn't about collecting more information.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: It was about making better decisions with the information you have.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: Technology should strengthen your discipline, not replace it.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: And good management isn't becoming less important because of AI.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's becoming more important.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: So look, as AI continues to evolve, don't confuse automation with leadership.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: Leadership has never been about having all the answers.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: It has always been about exercising sound judgment, taking responsibility, and influencing others towards the right outcomes.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: Technologies may help you work faster.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: but only responsible leadership determines whether you're headed in the right direction.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: So until next time, remember, you're always influencing someone.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: The question is, what kind of influence will you choose to be?
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: Hope to see you soon.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: Have a great day.
