- 1:15Speaker 2: reveal of the Missisipi grid Iron Magazine twenty twenty six.
- 1:18Speaker 2: You can get it, Chris, You got to get this
- 1:20Speaker 2: thing out Friday. You tell people Friday, what time Friday morning?
- 1:24Speaker 1: Like, Yeah, it'll be out Friday morning. I'll use the rest.
- 1:27Speaker 1: I tell what I'll do tonight. I'll do all of
- 1:29Speaker 1: these all state graphics. These all grid Iron graphics. It's
- 1:31Speaker 1: the seventeenth year we've done that, So I have about
- 1:35Speaker 1: twenty of those prepared. So we'll just do mass graphics
- 1:39Speaker 1: tonight tomorrow and because I mean, those kids love that
- 1:43Speaker 1: stuff and it's good for traffic, so I'll do that
- 1:46Speaker 1: tonight and tomorrow Friday, we'll we'll go ahead and put
- 1:48Speaker 1: up the whole thing.
- 1:48Speaker 2: And I tell you all jokes aside. You do want
- 1:50Speaker 2: to get the magazine great content from the top twenty
- 1:54Speaker 2: five to position, unit breakdowns, to region breakdowns, and then
- 1:58Speaker 2: really good up on each team. There's scheduled results from
- 2:02Speaker 2: last year everything. I want to get back to this
- 2:05Speaker 2: text over here. Who has the best region in the state?
- 2:09Speaker 2: And not like Region one seven A two. He's talking
- 2:10Speaker 2: about pine This person says Pine Belt, Delta, Golden Triangle,
- 2:13Speaker 2: Metro Jackson Area. What do you say, man? That is
- 2:19Speaker 2: tough like when you start, because you have to bring
- 2:21Speaker 2: in every classification. You know, if you go to the
- 2:24Speaker 2: Pine Belt, for instance, yes, you've got Oak Groven Pedal,
- 2:27Speaker 2: you got Hattiesburg, but then you've got I mean, you know,
- 2:31Speaker 2: Lancemankuso's down in the Pine Belt. You've got do you quantify,
- 2:35Speaker 2: pick a union in the Pine Belt like.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I would do it like this if you wanted to.
- 2:40Speaker 1: You could do different discussions if you go up and
- 2:42Speaker 1: down classes, you know, and do smaller schools. We don't
- 2:44Speaker 1: have a whole lot of smaller schools here, right, you know,
- 2:47Speaker 1: not not as many as some places. So let's say
- 2:51Speaker 1: if you did the top three schools from everywhere. Okay,
- 2:55Speaker 1: here you're talking, but talking Brandon, Madison, Central Jackson out
- 3:00Speaker 1: of me. You go down there, you're talking Old Grove, Hattisberg,
- 3:05Speaker 1: and Pedal. That's probably I'm going to say, that's probably
- 3:10Speaker 1: the best three in any one region in the state,
- 3:12Speaker 1: unless you go Starkville, West Point, Lewisville.
- 3:19Speaker 2: That's if they call themselves a golden triangle, you know,
- 3:23Speaker 2: because they yeah, just you know, when we when I
- 3:25Speaker 2: didn't realize this when I went up there last year
- 3:29Speaker 2: and did the road tour through that area, they were
- 3:33Speaker 2: talking about Tulo like the Junior High and what is
- 3:35Speaker 2: it like the equivalent of our little six they play
- 3:39Speaker 2: and come down and play Knox Toby, Starkville, West Point,
- 3:42Speaker 2: you know, so they kind of classify that as I
- 3:45Speaker 2: wouldn't put it golden triangle, but I think they classified it.
- 3:48Speaker 1: To Starkville is almost the same as like Brandon do
- 3:51Speaker 1: a Grove. I mean, it's an hour, it's at least
- 3:54Speaker 1: an hour, at least an hour. I would have to
- 3:55Speaker 1: say Golden Triangle just me personally. That's my opinion because
- 3:59Speaker 1: when you look at West Point, west Point, Starkville.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Starkville, Nxaby County, Lewisville, even without two blow, if you
- 4:07Speaker 2: put them in Golden Triangle or keep them in North Mississippi.
- 4:09Speaker 1: It's been I mean it's been really good here, especially
- 4:13Speaker 1: if if you include if you're not just doing public
- 4:15Speaker 1: school conversation, you do a larger conversation the players that
- 4:20Speaker 1: have been spit out here lately for ever. Last year,
- 4:24Speaker 1: MR was really good. Last year they didn't and they
- 4:26Speaker 1: didn't win it. JA got them in the playoffs, but
- 4:30Speaker 1: they and Jay and Jay had all the players that
- 4:32Speaker 1: they had, so I wanted to go the Pine Belt.
- 4:38Speaker 1: I think the best trio of teams is probably Hattisburg
- 4:41Speaker 1: Pedal O Grove. But could I could go with that,
- 4:43Speaker 1: but it's not like an easy discussion. And here, I
- 4:47Speaker 1: mean the three here would be competitive too. We'll see
- 4:50Speaker 1: the season plays out.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Let's let's bring it back locally and talk about some
- 4:53Speaker 2: of these teams. There's some pivotal team years for teams here.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Big year for Pearl. I mean, they're wanting to get
- 5:02Speaker 2: back in this thing. They want to get to the playoffs.
- 5:04Speaker 2: They've got an opportunity. It's a big year for the
- 5:07Speaker 2: Pirates this year, and it's a transition of sorts. They
- 5:09Speaker 2: brought in a new offensive coordinator, they got a new quarterback.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Jack Garris graduated. It's it's a big year for them.
- 5:13Speaker 1: They they've changed a lot, of course with the Patrick
- 5:15Speaker 1: school or the head coach there. And you know, the
- 5:18Speaker 1: last couple of years, they just they haven't had as
- 5:20Speaker 1: many players. That's just the that's just the fact of
- 5:23Speaker 1: the matter. They haven't had as many players. Now. I
- 5:25Speaker 1: don't know what all goes into that, because you you
- 5:28Speaker 1: played them or have seen them every year. They they
- 5:30Speaker 1: had a a run there, man with with just a
- 5:34Speaker 1: bunch of dudes, and they haven't had as many.
- 5:37Speaker 2: And of course Northwest Frank and it's a big year
- 5:39Speaker 2: for them.
- 5:40Speaker 1: And they and they lost a good bit their quarterbacks.
- 5:42Speaker 1: They lost a bunch of bigs. They bring back their quarterback,
- 5:46Speaker 1: They lost a really good running back to there, But
- 5:48Speaker 1: they have a couple of Division worldwide receivers, quarterback is
- 5:51Speaker 1: really good. Defensively, I think they'll be good. But their
- 5:54Speaker 1: problem is just the teams are playing. Yeah, I mean,
- 5:58Speaker 1: if we do like best regions, if you just went
- 6:00Speaker 1: like Region one two, three four two is probably the
- 6:03Speaker 1: best region seven A. But then I mean Brandon and
- 6:06Speaker 1: no Grove and Pedal in the same region as you as.
- 6:09Speaker 2: No joke either, Ridgeland. They're seventh and sixth A for
- 6:14Speaker 2: you for you guys, for for us.
- 6:16Speaker 1: And you know you took over that head job, was it,
- 6:19Speaker 1: Vilma Jackson.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:20Speaker 1: You know what's interesting about that is I can't figure
- 6:23Speaker 1: it out.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Man. They have had some coaches come through there, a
- 6:26Speaker 2: revolving like.
- 6:27Speaker 1: The Tod McDaniel, you know, last couple of years.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, Sam Williams was there, right, Ernest has
- 6:31Speaker 2: been there. I mean, you can go through a lot
- 6:33Speaker 2: of coaches. They need some stability at the head coaching spots.
- 6:37Speaker 1: That's been a great place to get a job, like
- 6:40Speaker 1: then coaches that have left for some some really big jobs.
- 6:44Speaker 1: But they've had players. I mean they then they do
- 6:46Speaker 1: this year too. They they still have a lot of
- 6:48Speaker 1: Division one talent. You know.
- 6:50Speaker 2: One of the things I didn't realize until talking to
- 6:53Speaker 2: I'm gonna give a big shout out to rank County
- 6:54Speaker 2: School District. You know, every school in Rankin County's gonna
- 7:00Speaker 2: field turf this year.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Yep, they just added it. It. I know it at
- 7:04Speaker 1: pizgu and Uh.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Puckets almost we were there a couple of weeks ago.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Puckets like ready to put the final touch on theirs.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Maybe mclauren McLaren's got a new turf, Yep, I know
- 7:14Speaker 2: they added I mean that's I think that's fantastic. Let's
- 7:18Speaker 2: see here. Also, anything else on the magazine as far
- 7:20Speaker 2: as the high school side before we move along that
- 7:22Speaker 2: you want to throw out there, I mean.
- 7:23Speaker 1: No, I mean you could do that all. I mean,
- 7:25Speaker 1: we could consider another to do another show if you
- 7:27Speaker 1: really want to dig in all of it. But I'll
- 7:29Speaker 1: let people read it, all right.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Hopefully Lord Willing in the Creek don't rise. We're gonna
- 7:35Speaker 2: all be here August twelfth to twenty twenty seven doing
- 7:38Speaker 2: the same thing. Will Jeff Levy be the head coach
- 7:41Speaker 2: Atsissippi State next year?
- 7:43Speaker 1: I don't know. I think the odds are stacked against
- 7:46Speaker 1: him now that you had those couple of kids come back.
- 7:50Speaker 2: If but the n's right, Yeah, that's right. We'll see
- 7:53Speaker 2: if that hold, if.
- 7:53Speaker 1: That goes through.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I did have that.
- 7:55Speaker 1: I did have this conversation. It's weird. Among the day
- 7:58Speaker 1: we were talking, somebody was we were talking about out
- 8:00Speaker 1: State and since Mullin, and they had some good years
- 8:06Speaker 1: under Leach, but then of course all that happened. But man,
- 8:09Speaker 1: the last I mean like there's been ebb and flows
- 8:12Speaker 1: with both programs, and of course it's hard to talk
- 8:14Speaker 1: about one with talking about both. With old Missing State,
- 8:17Speaker 1: there's been ebbs and flows. But I don't remember anything
- 8:20Speaker 1: like this the last three years when you look at
- 8:23Speaker 1: the SEC record and I know that it's it's awful.
- 8:27Speaker 1: I don't like it. It's two and twenty two the
- 8:29Speaker 1: last three years. I think that's it. Think's two and
- 8:32Speaker 1: twenty two.
- 8:33Speaker 2: In the SEC and the SEC and you know who
- 8:35Speaker 2: there's I'm a piggyback that I saw stat. I threw
- 8:39Speaker 2: it up there the other day. I didn't come up
- 8:40Speaker 2: with this. Mostly do you know the two wins are
- 8:43Speaker 2: Ole Missus one Arkansas they beat our only Arkansas, the
- 8:47Speaker 2: last non Arkansas SEC win for Misissippi State was in
- 8:51Speaker 2: twenty twenty two against Ole Miss and the egg Bowl one.
- 8:54Speaker 2: It's then they've got two SEC wins, both coming against
- 8:57Speaker 2: the Hogs. They've not beating anybody not named Arks since
- 9:00Speaker 2: twenty twenty two.
- 9:01Speaker 1: And well, you do you remember in your years of
- 9:04Speaker 1: as a fan, you remember a run like these three?
- 9:08Speaker 2: Not like these three.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I mean bad years with Old Miss, But I don't
- 9:11Speaker 1: remember like this.
- 9:12Speaker 2: I mean Jackie's back end with an Arizona Western team,
- 9:15Speaker 2: you know that came in and they was just you know,
- 9:17Speaker 2: the Juco's they were a flop.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Well that was and then the Old Miss thing what
- 9:20Speaker 1: they kind of get after him and then it.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Yeah, then you know Krome had you know, the one
- 9:25Speaker 2: winning winning season, but and there was some signs of
- 9:29Speaker 2: life there, but it just didn't work out. No, I don't.
- 9:31Speaker 2: I don't think so. I think this is the worst
- 9:33Speaker 2: run we've seen maybe since the eighties.
- 9:35Speaker 1: They need how does Jeff come back? Well, how many
- 9:38Speaker 1: wins will State fans accept? I guess that's that's where
- 9:40Speaker 1: you start. He went, if he gets them Bowl eligible.
- 9:44Speaker 1: I think if he gets them Bowl eligible and they
- 9:45Speaker 1: win six again, I think that's a good job, but
- 9:48Speaker 1: fans they might not agree with that.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Now, I had a coach tell me this, and I
- 9:52Speaker 2: didn't think about it this way. They said, here's who's
- 9:55Speaker 2: going to determine if Jefflevy's back next year or not,
- 9:58Speaker 2: Camaro Taylor, because Taylor, by all accounts, loves Jeff Levy.
- 10:02Speaker 2: That's just the word. I haven't talked to either one
- 10:04Speaker 2: of them about it.
- 10:05Speaker 1: That's a good point.
- 10:06Speaker 2: And if Camrio says, if I'm going where he goes,
- 10:10Speaker 2: if he goes, I go, and that's that's gonna. I
- 10:13Speaker 2: had not thought about it. But in the name of
- 10:15Speaker 2: in the in the age of n I l I
- 10:17Speaker 2: could absolutely, I'll change it.
- 10:19Speaker 1: He'll be back. I think Camrio is going to be good.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Oh I do too.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Okay, this is just my personal evaluations. I thought he
- 10:28Speaker 1: induced were very tight. I was looking forward to seeing
- 10:30Speaker 1: him at miss Ou Week because there's some similarities. There's
- 10:32Speaker 1: some differences, but they were both huge recruits. If you remember,
- 10:36Speaker 1: Deuce was a big recruiter early and kind of stayed there,
- 10:39Speaker 1: and then Camrio took off. People finally figured out that
- 10:42Speaker 1: this kid could go, and then he kind of rocketed
- 10:46Speaker 1: up recruiting rankings and then of course he got hurt.
- 10:48Speaker 1: So I didn'tet to see him in the miss out week,
- 10:50Speaker 1: but I got to see him play twice in person.
- 10:53Speaker 1: He's I don't want to say dad because that's not fair,
- 10:56Speaker 1: but he's one of those kids. And I hate evaluating
- 10:59Speaker 1: because we don't know Jacob. I don't care how much
- 11:02Speaker 1: people say, oh, I can tell, you can't tell. Yeah,
- 11:04Speaker 1: But I know when I saw him and somebody's like, hey,
- 11:06Speaker 1: what would you say, I'm like, that kid could be
- 11:09Speaker 1: deck not telling you he is, but he could be
- 11:12Speaker 1: like he's that mold. Okay, So I think he is quality.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Is there enough around him that you're going to see
- 11:19Speaker 1: that this year? Then you'll find out. But I think
- 11:22Speaker 1: he's going to be good enough no matter his numbers,
- 11:24Speaker 1: it's going to be obvious that guy can play. So
- 11:27Speaker 1: knowing that he's going to be back.
- 11:30Speaker 2: We are Brown to You by Maristar Cassino and the
- 11:31Speaker 2: Girkas Cigar Lounge. Get out to Girka, grab a stick
- 11:33Speaker 2: or two and enjoying the property. Bring him to the house.
- 11:36Speaker 2: You're ready for football season. If you like a great cigar,
- 11:38Speaker 2: do it at the Gurkha Cigar Lounge at a mayerstar
- 11:40Speaker 2: More coming your way as we take a time out
- 11:44Speaker 2: back of it.
- 11:45Speaker 4: At Flora Butcher Shop in Flora, Mississippi. Game night just
- 11:49Speaker 4: leveled up. Whether it's ribbas on the grill or fresh salmon,
- 11:53Speaker 4: Flora Butcher Shop turns your weekend into a big time
- 11:58Speaker 4: food experience. This isn't a grocery store. This is a
- 12:02Speaker 4: butcher's counter done right hand cut, high end selections you
- 12:06Speaker 4: can't find anywhere else in the area period. Flora Butcher
- 12:11Speaker 4: Shop in Flora, Mississippi makes game night that much better.
- 12:15Speaker 5: Turning to sports, wait Wimberley on the afternoon Drive. One
- 12:18Speaker 5: of the last pure pleasures I have left.
- 12:20Speaker 1: In my life.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe you ought to get a life first.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Okay.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Bonnie USBN one five point nine in the Zone and
- 12:25Speaker 3: online at his own one o five nine dot.

- 12:51Speaker 2: We're brought to you by Sound and Communications Online at
- 12:53Speaker 2: Soundcomavy dot com, collaborate design and Bill. They've been around
- 12:56Speaker 2: since nineteen fifty five. Let them help you today. Get
- 12:58Speaker 2: a sound calm Ah. Chris Brooks at the studio. We
- 13:02Speaker 2: appreciate him today. We'll be here till six o'clock. We'll
- 13:05Speaker 2: be over Brandon tomorrow as we continue with our high
- 13:08Speaker 2: school football road tour. Uh Sam Levitt getting a lot
- 13:10Speaker 2: of love out here on X throwing dimes at practice.
- 13:13Speaker 2: I'm telling you, man, I think if he's healthy, they're
- 13:17Speaker 2: going to be really good down at it, Ben.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Rouge, do you really yes, I'm opposite, really I am.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Now is this some ole miss? I know, cloudy cloudiness, you.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Gotta think that. But I'll just give you my rationale. Okay,
- 13:32Speaker 1: I didn't. I didn't like him a whole lot of
- 13:33Speaker 1: Arizona State. And remember they were trying to get somebody else,
- 13:37Speaker 1: but I can't remember the quarterbacks they tried first. Do
- 13:40Speaker 1: you like they had a couple of guys come in.
- 13:42Speaker 1: They didn't land them.
- 13:44Speaker 2: They had when forty guys come in?
- 13:45Speaker 1: Though, Oh I know who want the guy that got
- 13:47Speaker 1: in all the trouble. They tried to get him, the
- 13:49Speaker 1: Texas Tech guy. I think that was the first one maybe,
- 13:54Speaker 1: But anyway with this one, you know what, they didn't
- 13:57Speaker 1: have a very good year last year at Arizona State,
- 13:59Speaker 1: So I'm just I've never been a big fan of Levitt.
- 14:02Speaker 1: But then I don't know how good they're going to
- 14:04Speaker 1: be top to bottom there next year. They may need
- 14:07Speaker 1: another year of roster rebuild.
- 14:11Speaker 2: They may, they may. I think the and we were
- 14:13Speaker 2: talking about during the break, there's not a lot of era.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Room for era in the SEC. Yeah, you're talking about
- 14:21Speaker 2: Old Miss. We were talk about Missippi State, Ole Miss.
- 14:25Speaker 2: I mean, you got arguably the best quarterback in the
- 14:27Speaker 2: country coming back, one of the best running backs in
- 14:28Speaker 2: the country coming back, Cinterryon Perkins is one of the
- 14:30Speaker 2: better defenders in the country. Along the front seven. There's
- 14:33Speaker 2: a lot of key pieces. The schedule is very tough.
- 14:37Speaker 2: We can say that across the board, but man, the
- 14:41Speaker 2: room for air. I mean, when you start talking about
- 14:42Speaker 2: Auburn could be better, Oklahoma, Alabama, I mean, it's just
- 14:47Speaker 2: it is a small I mean smorgas bort of teams
- 14:50Speaker 2: in the Southeastern Conference.
- 14:51Speaker 1: The talent has spread out so much more now than
- 14:53Speaker 1: it was. You couldn't just stockpile all these guys. But
- 14:55Speaker 1: you can't have the wrong injury, Like going back to Sue.
- 15:00Speaker 1: What do you think their fans expect? Oh, they expect
- 15:03Speaker 1: them to get to the playoff, Like what will what
- 15:05Speaker 1: will be a good enough season for them to be
- 15:07Speaker 1: happy this year?
- 15:08Speaker 2: I think you got to be in the playoff.
- 15:09Speaker 1: I think they got to be in the playoffs. And
- 15:11Speaker 1: I don't know. If I could look, I could do
- 15:14Speaker 1: conspiracy here. I know what old miss practice was always closed.
- 15:17Speaker 1: They never let anybody into watch anything. And it's been
- 15:19Speaker 1: opposite down there. And I'm not sure he thinks he
- 15:24Speaker 1: has a great team because they've been walking things back
- 15:27Speaker 1: for about a month. The temper expectations practices open it,
- 15:32Speaker 1: come watch us, come see what we got kind of thing.
- 15:34Speaker 1: And I think that's done purposefully. But I don't know.
- 15:36Speaker 2: We'll see rebel Greg says Sam Levitt will be known
- 15:39Speaker 2: as the best that never was.
- 15:41Speaker 1: I'm not if I'm wrong, I'll be wrong. I'm just
- 15:44Speaker 1: I've never been a big fan of his. And even if,
- 15:46Speaker 1: even if he is good, I remember Jackson Dart's first
- 15:49Speaker 1: year when they got him. He had similar numbers at
- 15:51Speaker 1: USC than Levitt had last year. And it doesn't always
- 15:54Speaker 1: work out like it did for Trinita Chamberlass last year.
- 15:58Speaker 1: First year, all of a sudden, you're in the Heisman Dolt. Well,
- 16:02Speaker 1: but it never happens. Actually no, it never happened. But
- 16:04Speaker 1: sam Levitt almost beat Texas as a freshman at Arizona
- 16:07Speaker 1: but yeah, it's gataboo running back. He had job, he
- 16:12Speaker 1: had like a wide receiver as a top ten beat
- 16:15Speaker 1: Rogers Tyson something Jordan Tyson. Jordan Tyson maybe yeah, and
- 16:18Speaker 1: they didn't play many good teams.
- 16:20Speaker 2: But we'll see, hey beaver. Aaron Rodgers, they posted his
- 16:24Speaker 2: new profile pictures with the Steelers this year. I want
- 16:28Speaker 2: you to take a look these sweet babies right here.
- 16:30Speaker 2: You got one here? See that Christopher I do a right?
- 16:34Speaker 2: Is it tofer?
- 16:36Speaker 1: It's it's not gonna be tough.
- 16:38Speaker 2: He looks ready to play, don'ty Aaron Rodgers looks serious.
- 16:41Speaker 6: What do you think he's going out right? He's going
- 16:45Speaker 6: out the right way, Jake, Yeah, this is not the
- 16:47Speaker 6: Steelers that you've been clowning on for the past couple
- 16:51Speaker 6: of years. You don't think that, Yeah, you don't think that.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Aaron?
- 16:57Speaker 6: Yeah, I went first name on purpose right there. You
- 17:01Speaker 6: don't think Aaron's going to do much.
- 17:04Speaker 2: I'm hoping he does. Would you like to see him
- 17:06Speaker 2: cap it with a Super Bowl? It would be ridiculous
- 17:10Speaker 2: to hear to hear about Oh yeah, we never hear
- 17:13Speaker 2: the end of that. Let's see. Kip also says, also,
- 17:16Speaker 2: people forget Levitt as a junior rebel godfather LSU will
- 17:20Speaker 2: fall flat on their ass this year.
- 17:22Speaker 1: See, I.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Maybe I don't know, man, what's that rebel godfather says?
- 17:29Speaker 2: Unless she's gonna fall flat on their butt.
- 17:31Speaker 1: I don't think they're gonna fall flat. They spend too
- 17:33Speaker 1: much money to fall flat. But if if anything less
- 17:37Speaker 1: than eleven wins is going to be disappointing.
- 17:40Speaker 2: My god. Yeah that's a lot.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Okay, then you're and they I don't know if they
- 17:43Speaker 1: spent more than anybody. They may have. They spent a
- 17:46Speaker 1: lot of money.
- 17:46Speaker 2: They spent a lot of money. You know, we don't
- 17:48Speaker 2: ever get those official numbers. They're up there in the
- 17:50Speaker 2: top five percent, right.
- 17:52Speaker 1: I don't but they were throwing around forty million, are
- 17:55Speaker 1: approaching it, so I don't. I don't know if they
- 17:57Speaker 1: can get to that, But I don't know. I do
- 17:59Speaker 1: think he is a terrific coach. There's no denying that the.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Real Eric Sam Levitt didn't throw for more than one
- 18:05Speaker 2: hundred yards either time they played Missippi State. Yeah, but
- 18:08Speaker 2: you got to keep it in context. Arizona State, while
- 18:12Speaker 2: they made the playoff two years ago, they're still a
- 18:17Speaker 2: Big twelve team and outside of Texas Tech, who is
- 18:21Speaker 2: arguably spending more than anybody they say they're not. They're
- 18:23Speaker 2: spending as good as anybody who knows the Big twelve.
- 18:26Speaker 2: This is how far the disparity is between the SEC
- 18:29Speaker 2: and the Big twelve. A bottom feed or Mississippi State
- 18:33Speaker 2: team is just as good as a team that like
- 18:36Speaker 2: Arizona State. So in Arizona State, he didn't have the
- 18:37Speaker 2: talent around him even Missippi State had.
- 18:39Speaker 1: See but that's I also want to see that. I
- 18:41Speaker 1: want to see what a Big twelve guy does in
- 18:43Speaker 1: this like that. I mean, that sounds kind of dumb
- 18:45Speaker 1: because Ole Miss took a kid from D two and
- 18:48Speaker 1: he did that last year. So it happens. But I
- 18:52Speaker 1: didn't I think like that texture. I didn't think that
- 18:54Speaker 1: was that great a freshman year, at least not the
- 18:58Speaker 1: way that he was being talked about. It is like
- 18:59Speaker 1: a potential top of the draft quarterback. But we'll find out.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Let's see here, A named tester, Matt Moscona down at
- 19:07Speaker 2: ESPN Radio and bat Roots says LSU was pushing fifty
- 19:11Speaker 2: million this year. I wouldn't doubt it, and Moscona would know.
- 19:14Speaker 1: And they spent a fortune.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean they've but so is Ohio State, so
- 19:18Speaker 2: is Oregon.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Some of those numbers were too because they went into
- 19:22Speaker 1: that private equity deal. That didn't exactly scream we're just
- 19:25Speaker 1: flushed with cash. Who went to the private ag LSU.
- 19:29Speaker 1: The one that they're talking about is that official did
- 19:31Speaker 1: they do that? You don't think they've done it. They're
- 19:32Speaker 1: just talking about doing it.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Oh yeah, they had the I call it the investors meeting.
- 19:36Speaker 2: It was an alumni meeting, but it was more not
- 19:38Speaker 2: every alumni could go.
- 19:39Speaker 1: That doesn't sound like that. That doesn't jive necessarily with
- 19:44Speaker 1: we just got more money than we know what to
- 19:45Speaker 1: do with.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Well, but think about the money they've spent. They they
- 19:49Speaker 2: still had to pay out the rest of the edwars
- 19:51Speaker 2: are on contract. They had to pay out the Brian
- 19:53Speaker 2: Kelly contract. I mean, so much money they had to
- 19:56Speaker 2: And you know this, on top of paying this coach,
- 19:59Speaker 2: you have to pay the assistance as well. That never
- 20:00Speaker 2: gets talked about. Then you had a change in athletics
- 20:03Speaker 2: direct I mean they have went through so much. They
- 20:06Speaker 2: gave will Wade no telling how much money to come back.
- 20:08Speaker 2: By the way they opened practice like kind of it.
- 20:11Speaker 2: They got four basketball players on their team right now?
- 20:14Speaker 1: Shut up? Four? Yeah, I'm checked out on that.
- 20:17Speaker 2: I did not know that LSU has four basketball players.
- 20:21Speaker 1: So what's what's the plan.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Then, I guess hit the portal and see what you
- 20:24Speaker 2: can do. Right, there's guys out there, Yeah, four guys.
- 20:28Speaker 2: Let's see here, Nick, what if Trinidad has a drop
- 20:33Speaker 2: off this year? No cupcake schedule this time around? Yeah,
- 20:35Speaker 2: but I see I can't go there with Trinidad because
- 20:39Speaker 2: Georgia wasn't a cupcake. I mean they're running the playoff
- 20:44Speaker 2: was I mean, it's not like he played in Conference
- 20:47Speaker 2: USA last year.
- 20:48Speaker 1: I could be wrong here, Like I said, I think
- 20:50Speaker 1: people are focusing on the wrong things. If he has
- 20:52Speaker 1: a bad year. I don't think it's because Lane and
- 20:55Speaker 1: Charlie Weiss left, although they're great. I think that. I mean,
- 20:57Speaker 1: they're obviously great. The guy they brought in was with
- 21:01Speaker 1: them for a while. I can't remember his name, Jed.
- 21:04Speaker 1: I can't remember his name Baker. Yeah, so there'll be
- 21:08Speaker 1: some continuity there, But you don't develop a quarterback in
- 21:12Speaker 1: a year like that. That kid got there pretty good.
- 21:16Speaker 1: You do that over What they did with Jackson Dart
- 21:18Speaker 1: was great. He wasn't great that first year, and then
- 21:21Speaker 1: three years they turned him into a first round draft pick.
- 21:25Speaker 1: That was development. What happened last year wasn't that. If
- 21:29Speaker 1: he's not good, it's because their tackle situation fell apart
- 21:32Speaker 1: and they did lose all those receivers and they brought
- 21:35Speaker 1: good ones in. I don't think they replaced the guy
- 21:37Speaker 1: that went to the forty nine or shribbling. I don't
- 21:39Speaker 1: think they replaced him, So that's going to hurt him.
- 21:42Speaker 1: But if they had to make sure their tackles are legit.
- 21:45Speaker 2: We're brought to you my friends at Missippi Blood Services

- 22:11Speaker 3: Now we're talking live and look on ESPN one o
- 22:14Speaker 3: five point nine. The zone and online this zone one

- 22:42Speaker 2: manufacturers you trust at Clinton Body Shop also in Richland
- 22:45Speaker 2: as well.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Is that what do you?
- 22:46Speaker 2: What's going on with your phone? With the got your phone?
- 22:49Speaker 1: Oh?
- 22:50Speaker 2: That was that we need some WD forty. You go
- 22:51Speaker 2: to Clinton Bodyshop dot com. Let's see will on the
- 22:54Speaker 2: Cowboy Molonyes text sign said Ole miss went four and
- 22:56Speaker 2: two in games against playoff teams against playoff teams last year,
- 23:00Speaker 2: six games against playoff teams and it's a cupcake schedule
- 23:04Speaker 2: last year? What are we talking about?
- 23:06Speaker 1: Their schedule was easy last year?
- 23:08Speaker 2: What is it beef?
- 23:09Speaker 6: Take Tulane off the table. You're gonna come at us
- 23:13Speaker 6: in clear daylight, William, including two games against Tulane in
- 23:20Speaker 6: that to prove your point. Tulane making the playoffs was
- 23:22Speaker 6: a joke, and it we saw it on the field.
- 23:25Speaker 6: Tulane's schedule was twice the joke that old Missus schedule
- 23:30Speaker 6: was too.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Reverl Greg says LSU was twenty five to thirty million
- 23:34Speaker 2: dollars in the hole. They are trying to get their
- 23:37Speaker 2: donors front that money asap. I mean, there's a lot
- 23:40Speaker 2: of money, but it's not just LSU. It's a lot
- 23:42Speaker 2: of a lot of universities.
- 23:44Speaker 1: But I don't know any of these big ones that
- 23:45Speaker 1: are Has anybody done the private equity thing like.
- 23:48Speaker 2: No, that has not been to my knowledge, that has
- 23:50Speaker 2: not been done. I know the big twelve splurted ideas
- 23:52Speaker 2: with it. LSU's talked about it, but not yet. Let's
- 23:56Speaker 2: see Nick says Jake. They played four regular season games
- 24:00Speaker 2: tom on Ole Miss versus teams that finished above five hundred.
- 24:03Speaker 2: Two of them were two Lane in LSU. Let's be real,
- 24:06Speaker 2: it was a very favorable schedule. But credit to Lane
- 24:09Speaker 2: for taking advantage. I mean the schedules definitely. Look that
- 24:12Speaker 2: Lewisville Lewisville Louisville game is the same thing. That Louisville
- 24:16Speaker 2: game Week one is no cupcake. They're a five and
- 24:19Speaker 2: a half to six and a half point favorite in
- 24:22Speaker 2: that ball game they play Charlotte. Here's what I'm again,
- 24:26Speaker 2: the LSU game September nineteenth. You're gonna try to go
- 24:28Speaker 2: to that negative, not gonna fight that.
- 24:31Speaker 1: I'd rather watch it on TV. To be honest. My
- 24:34Speaker 1: kids want to go to games, but it's.
- 24:37Speaker 2: A lot of mad that's going on that day. Yep,
- 24:39Speaker 2: I've said this cir everybody's circling that game, but I'm
- 24:42Speaker 2: saying circle it for a different reason. It's game three,
- 24:47Speaker 2: win or lose, win or lose, Saturday night, September nineteenth.
- 24:53Speaker 2: When that game is over. If Ole Miss wins, they're
- 24:56Speaker 2: gonna be on a high. But they got to turn
- 24:57Speaker 2: around the next morning. They got to get ready to
- 24:59Speaker 2: go to Florida the next week. It's true, if they lose,
- 25:02Speaker 2: there's gonna be some disappointment. They still got to get
- 25:03Speaker 2: ready to go to Florida the next week. You got
- 25:06Speaker 2: Florida and Vandy on the road back to back weeks.
- 25:08Speaker 2: I want to see how all Miss responds after that
- 25:10Speaker 2: ballgame and what it looks like, because I think that's key.
- 25:13Speaker 2: I mean, LSU is not the season.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Right one.
- 25:19Speaker 2: It's a big game. It's one game of you know,
- 25:21Speaker 2: nine sec weekends.
- 25:23Speaker 1: I think I do think they're over under is higher
- 25:27Speaker 1: than I'm seeing from betting services. For one reason. I
- 25:29Speaker 1: think their defense. I don't think their defense was very
- 25:31Speaker 1: good last year. The schedule they played last year is
- 25:34Speaker 1: where the defense was covered some Okay, I wouldn't have
- 25:38Speaker 1: wanted that defense to play this schedule. But defensively, I
- 25:42Speaker 1: think they're significantly better than they were last year. But
- 25:45Speaker 1: like I said, I'm worried about their offensive tackles.
- 25:50Speaker 2: If they're going to return to the playoff, they've got
- 25:52Speaker 2: to defend home turf, LSU at home, Missouri at home, Auburn, Georgia,
- 25:57Speaker 2: Mississippi State, Wafford, and then you got go win a
- 26:00Speaker 2: couple on the road. I mean, you know, in granted,
- 26:02Speaker 2: if you go if you split the LSU and Georgia game,
- 26:05Speaker 2: Georgia games and then win the rest of them, I
- 26:08Speaker 2: mean you're winning one, two, three, four, five, that's six.
- 26:13Speaker 2: You got to beat Louisville on the neutral site, that's seven.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Then you gotta go grab a Winter two. But Vanderbilt
- 26:17Speaker 2: you have to go win on the road.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Their schedule its terrible.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, they gotta go to Texas, they gotta
- 26:22Speaker 2: go to Florida, they gotta go to Oklahoma. You need
- 26:24Speaker 2: to win one or two of those. But you could
- 26:26Speaker 2: say this about a lot of teams in the SEC.
- 26:28Speaker 2: It is a very tough schedule. Let's see unnamed texture
- 26:31Speaker 2: Ole Miss was a pass interference call away from playing
- 26:33Speaker 2: for a national championship. Yes, it was definitely past interference.
- 26:36Speaker 2: They played the schedule.
- 26:38Speaker 1: You know that struck me too. I'm watching ESPN this morning.
- 26:41Speaker 1: They were interviewing christ of ball and they showed a
- 26:44Speaker 1: clip from the end of that game and the score,
- 26:46Speaker 1: and I just I'd forgotten that they got that close
- 26:49Speaker 1: to getting there. It was thirty one to twenty seven.
- 26:52Speaker 1: I'd forgotten all about it.
- 26:54Speaker 2: I'm still so up in the air on that call.
- 26:56Speaker 2: You know, Matt Wyatt has a theory on that call.
- 26:58Speaker 1: I hadn't heard that one.
- 26:59Speaker 2: His theory is, and I believe I'm correct, So matter
- 27:01Speaker 2: if you listen, I apologize if I'm wrong on this,
- 27:06Speaker 2: he said, And I believe he told me this, or
- 27:08Speaker 2: I think you may have said this on the air.
- 27:09Speaker 2: No official in that moment's throw in that flag.
- 27:12Speaker 1: There's there's not throwing I know the sentiment, yeah, but
- 27:15Speaker 1: there there is. There's a point you're going to throw
- 27:20Speaker 1: it like they're not going to just let anything. No, no, no,
- 27:24Speaker 1: what I mean it was It's debatable what that point is, right,
- 27:28Speaker 1: But yeah, they don't want to throw it there. But
- 27:30Speaker 1: there's a point you're going to throw it. That's getting
- 27:34Speaker 1: really close to the point you're going to throw it.
- 27:36Speaker 2: I mean, you could make an argument the ball was
- 27:39Speaker 2: overthrown out of the out of possession.
- 27:41Speaker 1: That's the best argument.
- 27:42Speaker 2: Yeah, that the ball is not catchable, but that play
- 27:46Speaker 2: will live.
- 27:48Speaker 1: What do we call that?
- 27:48Speaker 2: Beave an infant? Infanty? Infanty? What do we call that word?
- 27:51Speaker 2: What is that word? I'm trying to say, put an
- 27:54Speaker 2: m instead of the end? Infamy infamy, infamy forever, right,
- 27:59Speaker 2: because ole miss was literally here's the deal. They hit
- 28:01Speaker 2: the field goal, the kickers unbelievable, all the first team,
- 28:05Speaker 2: all American.
- 28:05Speaker 1: People forget he's back.
- 28:06Speaker 2: He's back.
- 28:07Speaker 1: And I say that because I forgot he's back.
- 28:09Speaker 2: And I say, oh, if he just would have hit
- 28:10Speaker 2: the field how many big field goals that he hit
- 28:12Speaker 2: last year? If he hits the one that hits the
- 28:14Speaker 2: crossbar of the upright.
- 28:15Speaker 1: I wonder what they're paying him.
- 28:17Speaker 2: I bet he's getting paid for sure. Then they have
- 28:19Speaker 2: an opportunity to win it with a walk off field
- 28:20Speaker 2: goal right there. Yeah, so uh, let's see here, unnamed texture.
- 28:24Speaker 2: The ball was catchable, it was pass interfierce. Hey, yeah,
- 28:27Speaker 2: look and grabbed.
- 28:28Speaker 1: Him by the jersey and pull. He did it, I
- 28:31Speaker 1: do I will give the guy credit. If you're going
- 28:34Speaker 1: to do that, he did it about as well as
- 28:36Speaker 1: you're going to do it. I need to go back
- 28:39Speaker 1: and watch that again. I need to go back and
- 28:41Speaker 1: pull that pull that video. It does the thing where
- 28:43Speaker 1: he just kind of latches onto the shoulder pad and
- 28:48Speaker 1: yanks him down. But he did it, and he did
- 28:50Speaker 1: it is if you're going to do that, you did it.
- 28:52Speaker 1: He did it in a way to at least try
- 28:55Speaker 1: to add it.
- 28:55Speaker 2: All right, So what's going to happen down in southern
- 28:57Speaker 2: miss What? What?
- 28:58Speaker 1: What?
- 28:58Speaker 2: What would you say?
- 29:00Speaker 1: Trouble?
- 29:00Speaker 2: Do you really?
- 29:01Speaker 1: Yeah? I mean that guy that left took a ton
- 29:04Speaker 1: of people with him.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Does I'm stuttering in my words because I'm trying to
- 29:10Speaker 2: frame it up the right way.
- 29:12Speaker 1: I want to be fair to him.
- 29:13Speaker 2: I do too. But this is why we need a
- 29:16Speaker 2: group of five league.
- 29:18Speaker 1: That's one hundred percent.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Because there's no way that you can be fired up.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Because here's the de If you find diamonds in the
- 29:24Speaker 2: rough and you have they're just gonna get pulled out.
- 29:26Speaker 1: What do they even do? And just and have your
- 29:28Speaker 1: own playoffs, like you can make money with that.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Well, why do we continue as a college football world
- 29:35Speaker 2: to pretend these things are the same, just like Beef
- 29:37Speaker 2: saying Tu Lane didn't need to be in the playoffs?
- 29:39Speaker 2: Why do we continue? And I'm watching this play again,
- 29:41Speaker 2: I got it pulled up here. I don't know if
- 29:48Speaker 2: I don't know if he catches that ball, if he's
- 29:49Speaker 2: in bounds.
- 29:50Speaker 1: If it's in slow motion, one hundred percent, you think
- 29:53Speaker 1: you should throw it, But in real time, I can't
- 29:55Speaker 1: say I think that.
- 29:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I see the hand on the jersey, my rown.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Does he have his hand or lashed around his like
- 30:02Speaker 1: his arm? Basically I can't I can't remember where he
- 30:04Speaker 1: grabbed it.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I wish I could put this thing in slow mo.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Here Chambliss throws that ball from like the forty one,
- 30:11Speaker 2: and the receiver and the dB are locked up at
- 30:14Speaker 2: the goal line, like literally at the front end of
- 30:16Speaker 2: the goal line, and then there's a tussle. He's got
- 30:19Speaker 2: his hand and the receiver starts to fall down. There's
- 30:22Speaker 2: no doubt either he's see you don't know if he
- 30:23Speaker 2: slipped or if he's pushed, if he catches that ball,
- 30:28Speaker 2: though his left foot's probably.
- 30:30Speaker 1: There's no doubt.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Are you watching it too? Oh okay, I'm over here.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Doing graphic design, man if almoss. People, if you're getting
- 30:37Speaker 1: mad at me not sticking up for you more here,
- 30:39Speaker 1: I'm distracted.
- 30:40Speaker 2: That's okay on some other stuff. But yeah, back to
- 30:43Speaker 2: the group of five in Southern miss I mean, we
- 30:46Speaker 2: want to pretend that there's a seat at the table
- 30:49Speaker 2: that's fair for everybody, and it's not fair for everybody.
- 30:52Speaker 2: We pretend so much in college football, you know, even
- 30:55Speaker 2: in DC, which is this thing's dead. The bill's dead.
- 30:58Speaker 2: It's not going to pass. They haven't officially said it's dead.
- 31:00Speaker 2: It's dead. They made it to August. They didn't make
- 31:03Speaker 2: it to the floor. They're intercession or you know, the
- 31:05Speaker 2: session or whatever. They don't. They're all home. I mean,
- 31:08Speaker 2: Michael Guests is home. Everybody's home, right, It's never going
- 31:12Speaker 2: to pass that we even have people last week or
- 31:15Speaker 2: for the first part this week says we still need
- 31:17Speaker 2: to figure out what name, image and likeness is. What
- 31:19Speaker 2: do you mean you need to figure it out. We
- 31:20Speaker 2: won't call pay per play pay for play. We won't
- 31:24Speaker 2: say that we need a salary cap. We won't say
- 31:26Speaker 2: all these things, and we won't say that the Group
- 31:28Speaker 2: of five is not that it's not different than the
- 31:30Speaker 2: Power four or the group of six.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Well, what was their record last year? How many games
- 31:35Speaker 1: did Southern win? Seven?
- 31:37Speaker 2: Six or seven? They were right there at six?
- 31:39Speaker 1: Can you remember what all had to happen for that
- 31:40Speaker 1: to happen? And the guy took his team from Marshall. Yeah,
- 31:44Speaker 1: and this quarterback who was like Conference player of the year,
- 31:47Speaker 1: offense player of the year, just to have that season
- 31:50Speaker 1: and be competitive again. And then that guy's gone and
- 31:54Speaker 1: he took a bunch of guys with him. So man,
- 31:57Speaker 1: I'm not hoping that. I hope they win, but I
- 32:00Speaker 1: think the deck is stacked against them.
- 32:03Speaker 2: I too. Hey, we are brought to you by Revel

- 34:47Speaker 2: We appreciate Chris. We're going to tell you about the
- 34:49Speaker 2: magazine where you can get it just a bit. Let's
- 34:51Speaker 2: see Rebel Godfather Well first of our un named texture.
- 34:53Speaker 2: It doesn't matter it was past interference. Hey, I could
- 34:57Speaker 2: see where you would watch that play and die on
- 35:00Speaker 2: the hill for the rest of your life. I could
- 35:02Speaker 2: see both sides of it. It was just such a
- 35:04Speaker 2: tough call, rebel godfather it. If it is a penalty
- 35:08Speaker 2: in the first quarter, it's a penalty at the end
- 35:09Speaker 2: of the game. It's sad that it wasn't called it
- 35:13Speaker 2: was past interference.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Now I don't agree with that. I don't like I
- 35:18Speaker 1: don't want the game. I do want the game officiated
- 35:20Speaker 1: different at the end.
- 35:21Speaker 2: I do want like basketball, you want it differently in
- 35:24Speaker 2: the end of the game.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't want like a tiki tat call to
- 35:27Speaker 1: determine the game or you know whether or not I'm
- 35:30Speaker 1: a fan of the school to like her, and I would.
- 35:32Speaker 1: I would like the players to dictate what happens. But
- 35:36Speaker 1: there's a point you have to call something, so I
- 35:39Speaker 1: want I don't want it called the same in that moment,
- 35:41Speaker 1: but I do think it. I do think it was
- 35:43Speaker 1: enough to throw it.
- 35:44Speaker 2: So if you were the official unith on the floor.
- 35:46Speaker 1: I would have thrown that one. If it's like, I
- 35:48Speaker 1: can't spend so long, I can't remember if he got
- 35:50Speaker 1: his hand in his shoulder pad on the front and
- 35:54Speaker 1: as he's falling, ripped him down with him. Then I
- 35:56Speaker 1: would have thrown it, but it's been so long since
- 35:58Speaker 1: I looked at it, I can't remember.
- 35:59Speaker 2: Well, well, here's one thing on that play, and maybe
- 36:02Speaker 2: this has been brought up. I haven't watched it once.
- 36:06Speaker 2: Just going back looking at it now, was the official
- 36:10Speaker 2: on the sideline out of position? Because he's standing at
- 36:15Speaker 2: the front end of the pylon and he doesn't move
- 36:19Speaker 2: and then he takes a step like, was he out
- 36:21Speaker 2: of position? I don't see a back judge, so you
- 36:24Speaker 2: know the official doesn't move like as the players run
- 36:27Speaker 2: by him, he doesn't move like, he doesn't change position.
- 36:31Speaker 2: So he's looking at it from behind the play.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Well, I know what Matt's saying, though. Can you think
- 36:37Speaker 1: of a time anybody's ever thrown a flag there?
- 36:40Speaker 2: Like in the I remember remember an NFL game where
- 36:43Speaker 2: Heill Mary was throwing They threw a flag. I don't
- 36:44Speaker 2: even remember that.
- 36:45Speaker 1: Well, like into the first half. You know it'll happen
- 36:47Speaker 1: sometimes and you just heave it. But I can't think
- 36:50Speaker 1: of a time a flag was thrown. You don't want
- 36:52Speaker 1: to throw it, don't want to throw it there.
- 36:54Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, let's see here, Jay rock Ole, miss
- 36:57Speaker 2: recent success might have more to do with the Keith
- 37:00Speaker 2: Carter than Lane Kiffin.
- 37:02Speaker 1: I think people are drastically underestimating that part.
- 37:05Speaker 2: I think he's fantastic.
- 37:06Speaker 1: I mean almost had three big things going for Keith Carter,
- 37:09Speaker 1: Walker Jones and Lane Kiffin. Now you can range s
- 37:12Speaker 1: however you want. And the fact the bigger over Archie
- 37:15Speaker 1: one is that you can now pay players.
- 37:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Historically, if you can pay players, they have been able
- 37:21Speaker 1: to win games.
- 37:23Speaker 2: Somebody said that was not Ricky Tack. I think you
- 37:24Speaker 2: mean Ticky Tack.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Oh.
- 37:25Speaker 2: As far as the play Truro never let the fight
- 37:29Speaker 2: go to the judges go win it.
- 37:31Speaker 1: I mean I get that point too, I do, all.
- 37:33Speaker 2: Right, miss Sibe Griennare magazine. We've been talking about it today.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Chris revealed his top twenty five two Plow number one,
- 37:39Speaker 2: Oak Grove two, Oxford three, Golfport four in Madison Central
- 37:44Speaker 2: five the top ten, followed by Brookhaven, Warrens, Central, Hattiesburg,
- 37:47Speaker 2: Starkville and West Point.
- 37:50Speaker 1: He let's see, I know, Brandon, they're to eleven.
- 37:52Speaker 2: Brandon eleven. So he's he's been disowned by four to two.
- 37:55Speaker 1: I have coaches voted you there and I'm not on Brooks.
- 37:59Speaker 2: West Point thinks you disrespected them. It'll be interesting. I
- 38:03Speaker 2: guarantee you. There's no telling what kind of messages you'll
- 38:05Speaker 2: have tonight because you know what I make there already.
- 38:07Speaker 1: I've been sitting her reading.
- 38:08Speaker 2: So but people can get the magazine, how when can
- 38:11Speaker 2: they get.
- 38:11Speaker 1: It off it digitally? Jake's pressure on Friday will definitely
- 38:15Speaker 1: be up, so you'll be able to go on our
- 38:17Speaker 1: site or social media and you'll have free access to
- 38:19Speaker 1: the magazine. You can find it now and figure out
- 38:21Speaker 1: the passwords. You could have it today, but that'll that'll happen.
- 38:25Speaker 1: But I'll have a lot of the stuff posted here
- 38:27Speaker 1: in the next day or two, and then I'll have
- 38:29Speaker 1: hard copies out next Wednesday.
- 38:32Speaker 2: Now, when you say you will have hard copies out next.
- 38:34Speaker 1: I'll start delivering those to schools.
- 38:36Speaker 2: Okay, But if somebody wants a magazine hard copy, can
- 38:39Speaker 2: they get it?
- 38:39Speaker 1: Yeah, you can order now and I would be bailing
- 38:41Speaker 1: them out on Wednesday. That's when I'm supposed to have them. Oh,
- 38:46Speaker 1: you don't have the physical copies yet, They're not just
- 38:48Speaker 1: to have them on Wednesday. A week from today, week
- 38:51Speaker 1: from to day, they're supposed to arrive at my doorstep.
- 38:53Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, this we're talking about Southern Miss. And you've
- 38:56Speaker 2: got the schedules. Southern misscheduling here. They open with all
- 38:59Speaker 2: Corn to go to Auburn. Jackson State gonna be a
- 39:03Speaker 2: big year for Jackson State. Again. Look, I said this
- 39:05Speaker 2: to somebody the other day. I felt like when Dion left,
- 39:08Speaker 2: maybe the program would fall down. Who has a boy,
- 39:11Speaker 2: It has not at all. But I've told somebody this
- 39:14Speaker 2: today too. I told Ray Coleman this right now, went
- 39:17Speaker 2: to lunch at some point. When is the Celebration Bowl
- 39:23Speaker 2: not enough?
- 39:24Speaker 1: Like?
- 39:25Speaker 2: When are you going to go get in that playoff?
- 39:27Speaker 2: We've said that for years.
- 39:28Speaker 1: I think I could be wrong. Here is Swack football
- 39:31Speaker 1: what it was twenty years ago? Well no, and you hit.
- 39:35Speaker 1: I don't understand what they're doing with that whole the
- 39:38Speaker 1: playoff thing and the Celebration Bowl. I think that hurt
- 39:41Speaker 1: the league. I think they've done some things that have
- 39:43Speaker 1: hurt that league and I would like to see it
- 39:46Speaker 1: get back to what it was.
- 39:47Speaker 2: I think they need to get the playoffs.
- 39:49Speaker 1: I think they need to get in the playoffs. And
- 39:50Speaker 1: I know they're having a hard time. But you know
- 39:52Speaker 1: how that is when you have a chance to get
- 39:54Speaker 1: in there, I think that elevates your the whole conference.
- 39:57Speaker 2: Think about this, how excited would you be to get
- 40:03Speaker 2: a win or two and then a semi final game
- 40:06Speaker 2: against Montana on ESPN? Yep, I mean you're playing on
- 40:10Speaker 2: a national state I mean, or against North Dakota State
- 40:13Speaker 2: or South Dakota State or you know one of these,
- 40:16Speaker 2: you know, Hampton or somebody, anybody that makes these runs.
- 40:20Speaker 2: Let's see Brown Hornet Jake. I can't believe I'm about
- 40:23Speaker 2: have to say this, but I actually agree with Brooks
- 40:25Speaker 2: top fifteen, so he agrees with your And.
- 40:28Speaker 1: Look, don't put it all on me, honestly, it's just
- 40:30Speaker 1: it's what we get from coaches. I try to regurgitate
- 40:33Speaker 1: what I get from them to put it out a
- 40:34Speaker 1: little different, not trying to, you know, do clickbait thing
- 40:37Speaker 1: or anything. Just that's that's what we got back.
- 40:40Speaker 2: Is there a surprise team in the metro like of
- 40:43Speaker 2: any classification that you're looking at going for Brandon?
- 40:45Speaker 1: Probably? And that's just because I don't think everybody or
- 40:50Speaker 1: I mean everybody around the state doesn't know what everybody's doing.
- 40:53Speaker 1: You know, it's a big state. I don't think everybody's
- 40:55Speaker 1: familiar with some of the kids they picked up. I
- 40:58Speaker 1: mean I am that. I mean they picked up for
- 41:00Speaker 1: sure two Division one kids, high Division one kids, and
- 41:04Speaker 1: maybe picked up more than that when whenever kids finally
- 41:07Speaker 1: land somewhere. So I think Brandon has a chance to
- 41:10Speaker 1: be really good a kid.
- 41:11Speaker 2: Yeah, they've got and I'm just sitting here thinking, probably
- 41:16Speaker 2: brought in for sure two if not three Division one
- 41:19Speaker 2: guys and another guy that's going to play some level
- 41:22Speaker 2: of college.
- 41:23Speaker 1: I would agree, some level. I don't think they've had
- 41:25Speaker 1: a receiver like Parker.
- 41:28Speaker 2: No, they haven't been.
- 41:29Speaker 1: It's been in a minute. I'm in Mingo.
- 41:34Speaker 2: I'm sitting here thinking, yeah, you probably think about to
- 41:36Speaker 2: Jonathan Mingo.
- 41:37Speaker 1: I think he's probably the most talent they've had. They've
- 41:39Speaker 1: had good ones, Yeah, but I bet since Mingo probably.
- 41:42Speaker 2: And they've got some young dudes that they they really
- 41:44Speaker 2: love their wide receivers. They've got one kid that was
- 41:47Speaker 2: offered by all miss who's a ninth or tenth grader.
- 41:49Speaker 2: Like fast kids, Yeah, like super they can get after it.
- 41:52Speaker 2: You know, the question for Brandon is going to be
- 41:53Speaker 2: that offensive front. What does it look like now they've
- 41:55Speaker 2: moved some kids around, you know, played you know a
- 42:00Speaker 2: little bit of musical chairs with some guys. If the
- 42:03Speaker 2: offensive line is adequate and it was not good last year,
- 42:06Speaker 2: If it's adequate, that.
- 42:08Speaker 1: A couple injuries too. They did like they lost a
- 42:10Speaker 1: tackle in the offseason, they did baseball injury. He won't
- 42:14Speaker 1: be back this year. I believe it's an acl or
- 42:16Speaker 1: And he went, you know he's pitching now at PRC.
- 42:21Speaker 2: Is it really okay? So you know they've got some guys.
- 42:25Speaker 2: I just think a lot of people Cooper Hooks, Yes,
- 42:28Speaker 2: Cooper Hooks. Let's see Brown, Hornet and Jake again. I
- 42:30Speaker 2: can't believe I'm about to say this, but I actually
- 42:32Speaker 2: disagree by the way, Yes he is. I disagree with
- 42:35Speaker 2: your swack take. And I think as long as some
- 42:37Speaker 2: of their games are nationally televised, and they've got one
- 42:40Speaker 2: big national televised Bowl game, I think they're fine. Be
- 42:43Speaker 2: on the lookout that if more House ever moves up,
- 42:47Speaker 2: a division is going to grow even bigger. Look, I'm
- 42:51Speaker 2: not diminishing the swack at all. I know that the
- 42:54Speaker 2: history tied to the swack. I'm just saying Jackson State.
- 42:58Speaker 2: This is their one hundred and fifteenth season. By the way,
- 43:01Speaker 2: you got it right here on the schedule. It's off
- 43:02Speaker 2: their schedu one hundred and fifteen years. Why would you
- 43:05Speaker 2: not want to be a national brand? I mean they're
- 43:07Speaker 2: a national brand, but why would you want to stamp it?
- 43:09Speaker 2: Stamp it?
- 43:10Speaker 1: And the way they do it? They're the way they're
- 43:12Speaker 1: doing it. You just you put such a you put
- 43:14Speaker 1: a low ceiling on where you can go because kids
- 43:18Speaker 1: still want to play for some type of national title.
- 43:22Speaker 1: They just they do. There's there's no way you can
- 43:24Speaker 1: convince me that it doesn't hurt them getting players.
- 43:28Speaker 2: No, i'd agree with that. Well, look, Friday, drop you
- 43:32Speaker 2: got infographs out there?
- 43:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll be getting all that out definitely. I'll have
- 43:35Speaker 1: it out Friday.
- 43:36Speaker 2: Don't you love how we're making any work? If we
- 43:38Speaker 2: didn't do this today, he wouldn't dropped it till when
- 43:40Speaker 2: October first? Do you have any party words for Chris?
- 43:43Speaker 2: Always ask that, oh.
- 43:45Speaker 1: Beaver, look at you brother, the clean you shaved because
- 43:48Speaker 1: I was coming in here.
- 43:48Speaker 6: I bet you know me always trying to impress you. Yeah, No,
- 43:53Speaker 6: partying words are always the same. I love you Christopher,
- 43:58Speaker 6: dead ass, silent. It's always the same.
- 44:02Speaker 2: Do you think we'll ever get him out of that?
- 44:04Speaker 5: No, of course not.
- 44:05Speaker 2: Will he give you a hug when he leaves here?
- 44:07Speaker 1: No, I give you I'll give a fist bomb party handshake?
- 44:12Speaker 1: You know?
- 44:12Speaker 6: Have we reached the point where we can stop the
- 44:15Speaker 6: fist bump? By the way, can we stop that?
- 44:17Speaker 2: What would you replace it with?
- 44:18Speaker 6: I don't know we can well handshake? Handshakes should have
- 44:22Speaker 6: never gone out of style.
- 44:24Speaker 1: Bro hug.
- 44:27Speaker 2: That Joe wants to notice. Since Tennessee throw golf balls,
- 44:32Speaker 2: what will LSU throw? And I don't know LSU's gonna
- 44:34Speaker 2: be throwing anything? Yeah, oh, miss, maybe watch the whiskey bottles. Christopher,
- 44:39Speaker 2: Thank you, sir, great job on the magazines.
- 44:40Speaker 1: Good to see you, buddy, appreciate it.
- 44:42Speaker 2: High school football is here officially, mister b Grenirron is here.
- 44:45Speaker 2: Remember catchup is king Bacon's a delicacy? A loja means goodbye.
- 44:48Speaker 2: We will be over at the lowly eleventh ranked Brandon
- 44:52Speaker 2: Bulldog Facilities tomorrow. Yes, I should have been over there now, Well,
- 44:57Speaker 2: come on over. They'll take it over. To be a
- 44:59Speaker 2: man of increase, we of reach extendo see tomorrow,
