So I ⁓ you book dining Friday. I think I looked at the app and I counted 60 days backwards and I think it's Friday. Let me double check. We always like, I usually just Google what's 60 days from the check-in date. Lindee: Okay, so it's Friday for sure. Well. Right, but like, I don't, I guess I was just thinking April 2nd because the new count, June 2nd, July 2nd, I mean May 2nd, June 2nd, but I was like, I don't know, I want risk it. Chasing The Magic: 60 days from June 2nd is. I was after, went 60 days before. It is Friday, April 3rd. So, yeah. Lindee: Okay, so it's definitely Friday. I will adjust my alarm so I don't wake up at 430 on Thursday. Chasing The Magic: So, and then I just double check time and it is ⁓ 5am our time. Yay. It must really suck be someone booking a Walt Disney World dining or Walt Disney World ⁓ lightning lanes in California. Because like, it's like for yeah, be ⁓ Lindee: Okay. Yeah, two hours back, right? ⁓ or is it even is it three or two hours for us? Yeah, I think so. Chasing The Magic: It'd be three, right? Yeah, that's wild. Yep, yep, people do it, people do it. So yeah, just took that excited, excited. So that brings us to this park hopper discussion I was having in my head. Lindee: But you know, people do it. Okay. Yeah. Chasing The Magic: I don't know why I decided to look at it again, because I had decided against it, but I'm glad I did. Lindee: because you said you didn't want to do it. Chasing The Magic: I still don't want to do it. Let's just, spoiler alert, I looked at it, I thought about it, and then I talked myself out of it. Well, I was essentially just talking to Olivia about it this morning. And then I was like, I want, like, this just feels like... Lindee: Okay, but. Okay. Chasing The Magic: possible burnout, what I had planned to make sure we got our money's worth of a park hopper. Lindee: Gotcha. So, okay. Because like, we talked about just doing one day, like just utilizing it for one day, right? Chasing The Magic: Yes. Yeah, but to utilize the extra hours for the deluxe resorts, would have to get it on Wednesday. And ⁓ you get it, it's added to your park ticket for all three days. Like you can't just say I just want it on one, ⁓ know. Lindee: Like, yeah. Right. But what I'm saying is just because we have the park hopper for all three days doesn't mean we have to use it all three days. Chasing The Magic: Right, correct, correct. But I was like, if we have a park hopper, might as well try and make it to Animal Kingdom, right? I was like, just because then again, that's me. Like, OK, so if we get the park hopper, right, and we just use it for that Magic Kingdom night, you know, that's not bad. I guess. But to me, that's like that's $85 a person. Is that worth, you know, I don't know. Lindee: you for an extra like two hours. Chasing The Magic: Yeah. So. Lindee: So if did that, well I don't know, if we did that, then what daily were you wanting to split with? ⁓ Friday, okay. ⁓ Chasing The Magic: Are you going to talk me back into it? I was gonna do the Magic Kingdom day. No, I was gonna do the last day, Friday. And I was gonna, we were, the plan was to like rope drop Animal Kingdom and get to Magic Kingdom by one, kind of like we did on our trip. Lindee: Okay. Chasing The Magic: But I think... like then that I was like talking through it and I was like every other day I have us like we really just need to be at a park by like 10 1030 like that's the goal like I'm gonna try and set up like first fast passes for like 11 and then I was like do we on that last day do we really want to try and push it to like getting up, you know, I just, was like, I just don't want to have to, like if we're going to already be tired, cause we are going to be tired. Like, I don't know if that's just something could, ⁓ I'm sure we could handle it, but do we want to? Like ⁓ whole point, besides it being my backstory out of this trip was like, we just want to take it a little bit slower. ⁓ Lindee: great. Chasing The Magic: So yeah, talked myself out of it. ⁓ Lindee: Well, okay. mean, that's I hate losing all of them previews, but I guess if you ⁓ had do all that stuff, if we're not changing magic, them dead, and we have to do all that other stuff as well, it doesn't make sense. Chasing The Magic: Right, because it's not, it's not a freebie for us right now, it's 85 more dollars. Lindee: So, not necessarily. Well, would be, wouldn't have to pay anything extra if we just switched Hollywood with Gadget Kingdom Day. Chasing The Magic: What are you talking about? Yeah, but that's a non-negotiable for me, myself, and I. Lindee: Okay, so then C, but that's fine as long as you know. Chasing The Magic: Yeah. Yeah. Lindee: understanding of what we're doing. I don't know, I feel like by the time Wednesday, let's see, if it wasn't Thursday that it rolls around, we're probably going to be tired already anyway. like to do the extended hours. Chasing The Magic: Right. Well, the extended hours is on Wednesday. Lindee: Great. That's what I Wednesday. Chasing The Magic: So it's like, that's, yeah, right. So like if we're, who knows? I don't know. I don't know. So I just was like, you know what? Just stick to the original plan. No need to worry about it. Just, just gonna have to stay at a deluxe resort some other time. I guess. Of course, of course. Lindee: like how that's the conclusion you got. Okay. Chasing The Magic: Of course, but I did kind of, did price out Lightning Lanes and I'll probably put those in the chat sometime this month just to kind of give everyone a heads up of what we're looking at for park. And I'm still indecisive about Epcot. Lindee: What does it do? Chasing The Magic: Yeah, like, obviously we're gonna do the single pass for Guardians, but... really, if Remy's is the only one, we must ride. Lindee: pray. you want to do soar. Chasing The Magic: I mean, I do, but Soren's never like you can catch Soren at a good time. Like it's never really more than 45 minutes at this point. I don't think I mean, unless this new new well, it is a new Soren. It'll start Memorial Day weekend. So Lindee: That's true. We've got to our eye on the wait time just to see. Chasing The Magic: Yeah, yeah, but. Lindee: But yeah, I mean, that would really be it. I like the first drive, but nobody else does. But I'm not saying no to this. Chasing The Magic: Well, and I want to see the new... And like, that's the other thing. If we do the... I wouldn't be upset. I wouldn't be upset paying for the multi-pass because, like, I would like to do the new Frozen. It's not new Frozen, but I want to see the new animatronics on Frozen. I would like to do the new test track that would get us for Soarin'. Like, I mean, it would help our day a little bit, but... And... No, we're not rope dropping anything. Lindee: Right. Yeah, because we're not broke dropping, right? Chasing The Magic: I don't think. I think it depends on what Hollywood, it depends on our Hollywood studios return times. It depends on what I can get for Hollywood studios. That might be the only day we rope drop just to make sure we get what we need. Cause Hollywood studios just has the worst lines with all the rides, especially since they shut down rockin. And if rockin's not up, if the new Muppets isn't up by then, like it's really not. Lindee: Well, yeah. Chasing The Magic: Like that's, you know, a whole bunch of other people who would normally be in that line, not being in that line. So. Lindee: Right. Chasing The Magic: So, that's a little trip update. I had an idea and I talked myself right back out of it, which normally happens for my planning, but. Because do have some Dreamlight Valley updates, right? Lindee: Yeah, do. Chasing The Magic: All right, hit me with them. Lindee: Okay, well, I think we said this last week, and it been around yet that we're getting Pocahontas. I think it was. Chasing The Magic: Right, it was announced that we didn't have a date. Lindee: Okay. So yeah, the whispers in the wind, that was called? It's coming out April 8th. I saw a video today of them using another door opening. So yeah, so I'm interested to see who that's going to be. think, Chasing The Magic: Yeah. Mm-hmm. I saw that too. ⁓ you think that's gonna be like a new character? To me, it just felt like a new side quest almost. Lindee: Well... I don't know, it says another Saga beacon. said, the character or the keywords I took out from it was mischief and mayhem. And then she said lurking in the shadows. So a lot of people are saying Dr. Facilier, but I don't know how that would tie in to Pocahontas' thing, or if it even matters if it does, but. Chasing The Magic: Mmm. Lindee: yeah, we got a new door. Actually, we don't have it yet. guess. Well, maybe we do. don't know. I haven't been on, ⁓ and think it's the other side of like in the castle. think it's where like the opposite side of where Mickey. Chasing The Magic: ⁓ I was on today, but I didn't even go check. Hmm. Yeah, that's what it seemed like. Like, go check after this. Lindee: like that. So. I don't know. Chasing The Magic: I was playing today, I'm trying to level up all the rest of my characters that I haven't even talked to since Lady and Tramp popped in the village. ⁓ I'm still not, Cinderella's only at a seven. You everyone from Wishblossom Ranch, all that stuff. So that's what I did today. Lindee: Yeah. Uh-huh. Only yeah I don't have team ⁓ think it's just taken out. Finally, frankly, leveled up paper. Chasing The Magic: Mmm. Well, I think... Lindee: ⁓ I don't know anything else. Any other? Chasing The Magic: Yeah, don't think so either. News, we're getting a new cruise ship. I think that should have been a last week announcement, but I think I forgot. Lindee: Hello, what is the call? Chasing The Magic: The Disney Believe, it's coming, it's going to be based out of Japan. Lindee: Okay. Chasing The Magic: So, and it's gonna debut in 2027. Let's see, World of Frozen is officially open. I feel like I've been talking about it forever, but like it's been a lot of cast previews, but today or yesterday or this weekend, I don't know, can't remember. Has officially opened and today Olaf melted down. He's like the new fancy like animatronic Olaf who's like supposed to be a meet and greet, kind of like how Epic is doing all their character meet and greets. So, but he kind of melted. I don't know what that means, but yeah. Lindee: and he wasn't supposed Chasing The Magic: Yeah, yep, yep. No, he wasn't supposed to. So very interesting. else? What else? Let's see. Bluey officially opened their show in Disneyland. And then ⁓ Disney World, Planet Watch name is quietly being ⁓ removed. So Lindee: Okay. Interesting. Chasing The Magic: And it's a Bluey's Wild World is opening May 26th, 2026. So that would be another reason to get that park hopper, but it's okay. ⁓ But so that's it. There's, you know, stuff happening, but not a lot of stuff happening. Lindee: That's it. which always stuff happening. Chasing The Magic: There's always stuff happening. All Well, ⁓ let's get into today's episode. Lindee: Do it. Chasing The Magic: which is... We watched Rogue One. Lindee: Yeah, we did. Chasing The Magic: Yeah, we did. Lindee: made it so late that my EYM says but I don't know I don't want to blame it on Roblox because I really enjoyed it actually. Chasing The Magic: Ha ha ha ha! Okay, we have very differing opinions. Almost... yes! I think, okay, so I think my biggest thing was I didn't feel connected to any of the characters and maybe I missed a few that were the same, but like... Lindee: Really? Chasing The Magic: And I guess I got the premise is like that's like we're supposed to be seeing like another side of the rebellion. But I don't know, I just like almost the whole time and maybe if someone would have told me going into it like you're not going to see any characters, I might have a different view of it. But almost the whole time I was like, are we going to like, is this going to tie in what's happening? Like, I feel like it was like a whole different place. I mean, the movie itself was good. I just didn't. Lindee: Yeah. Chasing The Magic: I don't know. I was like kind of confused the whole time, but you loved it. Lindee: Well, okay, yeah, kept having to remind myself. where it was in the timeline because It's right between episode, it's right before A New Hope. So in theory, it's right after episode. story Chasing The Magic: See, and I don't think I even realized that. Did that say it in that writing in the beginning? Lindee: But it, no there wasn't, there wasn't. That's I was like, where's the writing? Chasing The Magic: Okay, that's what I didn't think there was. So who told you it was there? Lindee: and watched it with us. So that was kind of helpful. Yeah, but I was also like, okay, so like, do people know, like, people that were watching this, they knew where it was at in the timeline. And he was like, yeah, I was like, okay, so it's just me. Well, I guess because I I, they read the premise. Yeah, the trailers. Yeah, there was a lot of hype on it. I'm sure. Chasing The Magic: ⁓ Okay, okay, okay. How did they know? That probably like the trailers and stuff would probably, yeah. Lindee: I know, I just, I, I, other than, okay, and that was what was confusing because... You're telling me that you like you're trying to sell me this movie that came out in 2020 whatever I don't know mid 20 whatever. Chasing The Magic: This one was like 2016. Lindee: Right. But it precedes a new hope, which came out in like the seventies, you're like, how like that doesn't compute because the technology, I think it just, it didn't line up for me. You know what I mean? Like the technology seemed further along when really they probably did a good job of keeping it the same. but it's just our technology in our world. come so far that it was a hard sell for me. Chasing The Magic: Right. Lindee: I was like, this is what year again? Other than that, I Chasing The Magic: Okay, so, there's other, like, there's gonna be other movies. Like, that's not gonna be the only one, because I'm just asking Chad, because I am confused. I'm very confused. Like, I, like, you telling me that, like, blew my mind. Like, I was like, what? Like, I could see it happening after six. Lindee: Well, what's the next one? you Why? Chasing The Magic: I could see that happening. don't know. To me, didn't fit anywhere. I couldn't have told you. If I went into this blind, I had no idea, I didn't read, I don't know. If someone would have asked me where you think this movie goes in the order, I would have done episode six ⁓ of kind of what you just said. Lindee: Okay, well what about? Well, okay, so technically. It's technically a standalone film. Chasing The Magic: And then I was confused because then then I was confused when Darth Vader or who was that? Yeah, no, yes, Darth Vader showed up. I was like, what is happening? I was so confused. Lindee: Yeah. Yeah. Right, because it was the way we watched the movies too. That did not help us one bit. Because if we had gone one, two, three, four, five, six... Yes. Chasing The Magic: Right. Quinton told us to watch it this way. Quinton, I know you're listening. I am confused. Lindee: Yes. And I mean, like we watched it the way everyone else did, but it caused a lot of timeline confusion for sure. Chasing The Magic: right, right. So it's gonna cause any more. Okay, so there's four movies that they say is considered the rise of the empire. So prequels, prequel one, two and three, right? So then the next chunk is called rise of the empire. Movie four should be solo, a Star Wars story. Number five should be Obi-Wan Kenobi. That one's optional. And or is optional. And then Rogue One. So like when we go back and watch solo. Lindee: ⁓ huh. Chasing The Magic: We have to realize that's gonna be before we even watched Rogue One. And then we get the original trilogy. Lindee: Well, no. Solo. this note says best watched after the original trilogy or after we meet Han in... or four through six. Chasing The Magic: one, two, four through six. What, Rogue One or Solo? ⁓ I'm just telling you what Chad has told me. I don't know if you're looking at my screen, but. Lindee: solo. No. gosh, I can't even read that. Chasing The Magic: Yeah, I know. So. Lindee: No, so yeah, so just try to try to remember that these are standalone films that we're watching now, but I see how it fits in. I do. Especially the end. You remember the end? Okay. Chasing The Magic: And I don't think I realized that. Okay. Yes, yeah, kind of. But I get, I get, now that you've told me where it belongs in the story, okay, this makes sense. But before that, yesterday, I was like, what am I watching and why am I watching it? All right. Lindee: I really want to go, I want to go one through six, like, in order, because I think that would be... Chasing The Magic: Do you think that'll make more sense? Lindee: Yeah, I really do. Chasing The Magic: Even since you even though you've already seen him now. Okay, okay, okay. Lindee: I just might. think it'll really help a lot. Chasing The Magic: All right, well, let's kind of get into it. So that was our little first impressions. OK, what is this movie even about is what Chad said. Same Chad. Yen, Esro, Erso intro. Jen, Jen, Jen. Lindee: ⁓ yeah. Chasing The Magic: I don't even remember. I'm telling you. Rebellion versus empire set up. says, running joke idea, this entire movie is basically a heist movie in space. ⁓ funny. Lindee: Yeah, where are you really good? Chasing The Magic: Yeah, I gave you a note. It's in the shared folder. It says current participants, Lindy. Lindee: I see it. see it. Okay. I didn't know where you were at in the note. Okay. Chasing The Magic: Segment one. Okay, so now segment two. So Jen. Lindee: Yeah, Jen is introduced as the daughter of Kailin and I can't remember her name. Chasing The Magic: Mm-hmm. Lindee: You know, and she, they. The Empire is recruiting Galen to back and make this super weapon, ⁓ So that's, ⁓ that's again, that's what we, that's a reference the Death Star that we see in New Hope, right? So this is about them making the Death Star. Chasing The Magic: Mm-hmm. Weapon? Yeah. Correct. Yeah. Okay. Lindee: So. Good. Hey, Galen. I don't even know what happened to the wife. Did they take her to her? can't remember. Anyway, Jen escapes. Did she die? Okay. Okay. She may have died. And then Jen escapes and hides and then Gerrera comes and finds her. Yeah. ⁓ Chasing The Magic: she die? Did she die? Her name is Lyra. Yes. I thought that was an interesting, I know, I liked that weird little relationship. Lindee: Yeah, well, I feel like Forest Warthorn just, he just plays the weirdest characters. I mean, I think he's just a weird dude. So it comes naturally to him. But anyway, I feel like that part though was. Chasing The Magic: Yeah. Lindee: I don't know. mean, Jen, it, it fast forwards. mean, and Jen and grown up, she's in prison and Kathy and like, they haven't met yet. Chasing The Magic: Mm-hmm. Lindee: I don't know, I just feel like why is she in prison? Did they ever explain her? Stealing weapons, maybe. Maybe that's what it was. Stealing unlawful possession of weapons. I think they did say it actually, but she's just kind of like, you know, seems like a misfit type. And don't think she was. Chasing The Magic: No, and I was trying to read the Wikipedia about it. Lindee: I think she was just kind of floating along. Like she wasn't really helping the rebels or anything at that point is what I got from it. And my understanding is Cassian was. Chasing The Magic: Right. Yeah. Lindee: Although he like killed a guy when he was freaking out about his arm or something. I was like, ⁓ geez. ⁓ but. He seemed more, you know, like on a mission than Jindan to me. So then, so they meet. Chasing The Magic: Mm-hmm. Lindee: Bye! K2SO Chasing The Magic: I didn't like the droid. I did not like him. No. I think I had, I think I just had weird misconceptions about this movie and I just like, maybe I just need to go back and rewatch it now that I know what's happening. But. Lindee: What? You didn't like K2? He was hilarious. Chasing The Magic: I wanted R2-D2. I wanted C3PO. I just, I don't know. I don't know. Okay, so did find out ⁓ Lyra did die. She was killed. then Jen is being held in Imperial custody on several criminal charges. And rebel alliance frees her upon intercepting a prisoner transport on the planet, Wanobe. And they seek her help in contacting Saw and persuading him to turn over information he has received. Lindee: That's right. That's what it was. Chasing The Magic: about a new weapon being developed, accompanied by Cassian. I also have odd feelings about him. Lindee: Okay. Thank you. Chasing The Magic: Yes. Lindee: I feel like if we watch Andor, we'll get his backstory. Chasing The Magic: Yeah, that's kind of now what it all says. But like, Lindee: But yeah, like who is this guy? Where'd he come from? What's he doing? You should have texted me and then I kind of like, I don't know. Chasing The Magic: Yeah, but that's how I felt the whole movie though. Like, honestly. I probably watched it way before you. watched it when I got home yesterday at like 430. So you were dealing with children and I was not. Lindee: Yeah. Well, that's true, but yeah, at that point I wouldn't have been much help because I would have been like, I have no idea what this is about. Chasing The Magic: Right. Lindee: He's just been hyping it up for so long. was like, yeah, this is probably one of the best ones, or at least he said, like, it's the best. Like, Disney, the one that Disney has done. Chasing The Magic: Now, yeah, now the movie itself, like if I were to just watch this before I watched any Star Wars movie ever and I didn't know there was a story, I would say yes, this was a movie. ⁓ I liked the beginning felt different than the rest of them. And I that's also what I liked. Like it felt like a story movie and less like a Lindee: Yeah. Chasing The Magic: fight movie. Lindee: Yes, although there was plenty of action in there, but like it, but the story was clear, like girl. Chasing The Magic: Duh, yeah, obviously. Lindee: to find her dad kind of thing, like, finds out he's alive, but he's been helping, you know, the bad guy, whatever. And then trying to find the plans to, it out he's not and then tries to find the plans to, I don't know, I guess destroy it. But yeah, it just all seemed very, it seemed to flow to me. Like, okay, I get what this is. This is very, Chasing The Magic: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yes, yes. Lindee: straightforward. Some of the movies did not feel that way. Chasing The Magic: Yes. And it also felt like the fight scenes weren't like... at like the prequels and the original trilogies, it really felt like the fight scenes were just thrown in there where they were like, ooh, fight scene, ooh, fight scene. But this one felt like more natural of a fight scene. I don't know if that makes sense. And I'm sure tons of people are yelling at me, but I don't care. Lindee: Yeah. Mm-hmm. I agree, like there was definitely a lot of action in it, but I didn't wind it as much in this movie. Because like you said, it made more sense. Yeah. Also, I told Nick, I was like, I don't know if it's just because I've watched so many of them, but the pew pews don't bother me as much anymore. Chasing The Magic: Yeah. Yeah. I felt like they were a little bit, you literally just said that and as I was watching it last night, I was like, I feel like they're a little bit more violent. Like they look more realistic might've been the word, but I was like, they kind of look a little bit more, I don't know, military-ish. Lindee: Yeah. probably yes, probably also the technology too that I don't know. I also made the comment that like, you know, for those like stormtroopers, you would think it'd be harder to kill them. Chasing The Magic: Yeah, yeah. Yep. Lindee: always so easy. just like, they just like hit him once and they're like flying. It's like, you have all this, you have this whole suit of armor on, or at least that's what it looks like. Yeah. That is my side note. We met Cassian and K2 and you don't like him. And I am mad at that. Chasing The Magic: right and you're supposed to be super intimidating yeah yeah Okay, so where were we? Cassian? Mm-hmm. Yeah, it's okay. Lindee: He's so witty, like even more than Pink Rubio. Chasing The Magic: Yeah, and I think that's why I didn't like him. I felt like he was trying to be C-3PO too much. Like he wasn't his own person. ⁓ Lindee: long as it's a droid. thing that I struggled with with K2 also though is like with the technology because I was like this is before New Hope but this exactly and he seems smarter. You know what I mean? Like, I don't know. Chasing The Magic: He looks so much better. Mm-hmm. Yeah, I got that. I got that for sure. Lindee: And then, okay, so we meet, can't, I don't know how pronounce this. Chasing The Magic: Chir- Chirrit? Chirrut? Probably. Lindee: Chirrut and Baez and they're like a team or whatever. Chirrut is the blind guy. And he's like. Chasing The Magic: ⁓ yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Lindee: a bad day. And yeah, I did you catch the part though where I was dying laughing and Chasing The Magic: Yeah, yeah, I liked him. Lindee: I just thought it was so funny where they were kidnapping all of them and they put the bag over his head and he was like, are you kidding me? I'm lying. Chasing The Magic: Yes! Yes, that one was funny. Lindee: you Nick hadn't crossed out the first time he launched it. Chasing The Magic: Okay Lindee: He likes that part as well. one looks funnier to me overall too, like it had more humor. Chasing The Magic: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Lindee: I mean, I think a lot of that was K2, anyway, it's worth addressing this. Don't want to insult your precious review. Chasing The Magic: Okay. Lindee: love 3Bio, but we also got like what, six movies with him? Chasing The Magic: If someone Okay, yeah, but if someone asks you, like, name your favorite droid, or name one droid from Star Wars, no one's gonna say K2. Like, no. You know? He's not memorable, obviously. Lindee: Yeah, that's true. Chasing The Magic: Okay, next was... Yeah, so they go to Jeddah, right? Which I kind of liked that name. I was like, are we putting a play on something? Like, why is this called Jeddah? I don't know. Like Jedi, Jeddah, I don't know. Was it just me? Okay. Lindee: Yeah. ⁓ I don't know. did call it the Holy City, didn't they, at one point? the, maybe holy is not the right word, but they targeted the Death Star test. Chasing The Magic: ⁓ I think.
