- 0:52Speaker 1: Into a long holiday weekend we go. We are The
- 0:56Speaker 1: Woody Show. Yeah. I'm Woody. That's Greg Gorey. Hi. We
- 0:59Speaker 1: got Menace. What's up? Gina Graz.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Hi.

- 1:33Speaker 1: And of course, good old-fashioned email, which is email at thewoodyshow.com.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Yep.
- 1:40Speaker 1: And I got a people were asked question. What did
- 1:43Speaker 1: you think was a scam until you actually tried it? Now,
- 1:48Speaker 1: talking about different things that you bought, you're like, there's
- 1:52Speaker 1: no way that works. I thought the most recent thing
- 1:55Speaker 1: I bought, and I was embarrassed that I bought it,
- 1:57Speaker 1: and then I was pissed that I bought it, was
- 2:00Speaker 1: the hot towel dispenser.
- 2:02Speaker 6: Oh, you love that thing.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Disposable, basically like paper towels. Dude, I'm telling you, it's awesome, Greg.
- 2:10Speaker 1: I know. It's awesome. I'll believe you. Yeah, because the
- 2:14Speaker 1: one I bought didn't work at all. My wife ordered
- 2:18Speaker 1: one not knowing that I had ordered one. A different
- 2:21Speaker 1: brand or whatever? Hers that showed up was slightly different.
- 2:24Speaker 1: And hers works as advertised. That's exactly what I was
- 2:29Speaker 1: expecting when I ordered mine. Mm-hmm. And it works great.
- 2:33Speaker 1: It's awesome. So you chucked yours. Yeah, I got rid
- 2:37Speaker 1: of that one, and now I just use the one
- 2:38Speaker 1: that my wife bought. And it's great. And it's like
- 2:41Speaker 1: 90 bucks or something like that. Here, I took a
- 2:43Speaker 1: video here the other day. Look at this. Watch this thing.
- 2:48Speaker 1: There comes the little puck. It puts the hot water
- 2:51Speaker 1: in there.
- 2:52Speaker 6: Pops it right up.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Please use. Hell yeah. Oh, my God. That's what I'm doing. Yeah, dude,
- 3:00Speaker 1: the thing was great. It was pretty dope. I'm like,
- 3:01Speaker 1: all right.
- 3:02Speaker 6: Yeah, it's worth it.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Because it showed up, didn't work, thought it was a scam.
- 3:05Speaker 1: But no, it does work. You just got to get
- 3:07Speaker 1: the right one. All right, so we've all seen products
- 3:09Speaker 1: you get and merely thought they were a scam. This
- 3:11Speaker 1: is what people said when they were asked that question.
- 3:13Speaker 1: A lot of people said bidets. Oh, you're a believer?
- 3:16Speaker 1: You're all believers. How great could that be?
- 3:18Speaker 2: I don't think people realize that a smart toilet seat
- 3:21Speaker 2: is different than a bidet and much better, much better.
- 3:24Speaker 1: That's true. Like the Toto washlet is better than just,
- 3:27Speaker 1: you know, something that will like hose your ass off.
- 3:29Speaker 1: A standalone cold. Yeah, because it's a heated seat. It's
- 3:33Speaker 1: heated water. It's got the oscillating, you know, jet stream
- 3:37Speaker 1: of water, things like that. Never tried. The dryer, I think,
- 3:41Speaker 1: is useless because it just, like, how long do you
- 3:43Speaker 1: want to sit there and try to dry your ass?
- 3:45Speaker 6: Well, sometimes it does take like two cycles.
- 3:47Speaker 4: You know?
- 3:47Speaker 1: Yeah, bidet. I thought it was a scam, promoted the sale,
- 3:51Speaker 1: less toilet paper, but boy, was I wrong. Somebody said
- 3:54Speaker 1: noise canceling headphones. I thought they were just an overpriced
- 3:58Speaker 1: scam until I tried them.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:00Speaker 1: You have those, right?
- 4:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I mean, AirPods are noise canceling. Oh, okay. That's also
- 4:06Speaker 1: I've never tried. I also have noise canceling. What are
- 4:09Speaker 1: the ones, the bigger ones, the Apple ones? Maxes. Yeah.
- 4:12Speaker 1: They're called AirPod Max. Yeah. Dude, those are- They suck
- 4:16Speaker 1: to the side of your head, right? Those are pricey,
- 4:18Speaker 1: but man, are they comfortable. Really? Yeah, that sounds way
- 4:20Speaker 1: better than AirPods. They're comfortable, and they sound really good.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I'll use those for being on a plane.
- 4:25Speaker 6: They're over ear?
- 4:27Speaker 1: Yes. Yeah. Much like what we're wearing right now here
- 4:29Speaker 1: in the studio, but- Like if I'm on a, if
- 4:31Speaker 1: I'm traveling, I like those more than the AirPods because
- 4:36Speaker 1: after a while, the AirPods start to like, they hurt
- 4:38Speaker 1: after a while. I can't wear those.
- 4:41Speaker 2: To me, Greg, or do you find people that wear
- 4:42Speaker 2: over ear, large over ear earphones, like out in public,
- 4:46Speaker 2: I find them to be rude. Like I, you, like I,
- 4:48Speaker 2: you can't, you shouldn't even bother addressing me. Like even,
- 4:51Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm not hitting on girls or whatever. That's
- 4:53Speaker 2: how your whole vibe is. Right.
- 4:54Speaker 1: But that's what I'm saying. Without the headphones. Exactly. Off-putting.
- 4:58Speaker 7: But I think at least it's more obvious because you don't,
- 5:01Speaker 7: I don't notice if people have AirPods in.
- 5:03Speaker 5: Sure.
- 5:03Speaker 7: At least that way I realize like, oh, they probably
- 5:05Speaker 7: can't hear me if I'm addressing them.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Yeah. What did you think was a scam until you
- 5:09Speaker 1: actually tried it? Scrub Daddy Sponges. Oh, I love those.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Overrated AF. I need to buy some more for the office.
- 5:16Speaker 1: It's a sponge. Yeah. It is a sponge. It's so overrated.
- 5:20Speaker 2: It's a physically different fiber and it gets rid of
- 5:22Speaker 2: the sponge part because that's the part that's ruined.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Okay, it's not a sponge. It's the scrapey side of
- 5:26Speaker 1: a sponge. And better. See, we have some that, like,
- 5:29Speaker 1: it has this scrapey side, but it also has, like,
- 5:31Speaker 1: a sponge, like a traditional sponge on the backside. Oh,
- 5:34Speaker 1: I have that, too. Okay. I've had both. And it's
- 5:36Speaker 1: a Scrub Daddy or Scrub Mommy or whatever. I prefer
- 5:39Speaker 1: the one with the sponge side. Yeah. It says, always
- 5:41Speaker 1: thought they were overpriced sponges. Turns out they're better at
- 5:44Speaker 1: scrubbing and more durable than any sponge I've ever had.
- 5:46Speaker 1: They last longer. But it's nothing to get a boner over.
- 5:49Speaker 1: It's so cute.
- 5:51Speaker 8: I have one that's kind of similar, and I think
- 5:52Speaker 8: I learned it from you or from... Sammy or a
- 5:55Speaker 8: listener with that chalk stuff.
- 5:57Speaker 1: They use a clean.
- 5:58Speaker 6: Yes.
- 5:59Speaker 1: The pumice stones. Those are miraculous on toilets. Are you
- 6:03Speaker 1: talking about the Mr. Clean magic eraser?
- 6:05Speaker 2: No, no, no.
- 6:06Speaker 1: There's a pumice stone thing. I'm like, I'm using this
- 6:08Speaker 1: to clean. Isn't this going to like scrape everything out?
- 6:10Speaker 1: Have you tried one on a stick for the toilet? It,
- 6:13Speaker 1: I swear it's like a miracle.
- 6:14Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:15Speaker 1: It'll take out old water stains, old rings.
- 6:18Speaker 2: No kidding.
- 6:19Speaker 1: And it doesn't scuff the ceramic. It seems like it would,
- 6:22Speaker 1: and it does not. Yeah, that's why I was like,
- 6:24Speaker 1: I was afraid to use it. Yeah, it's like a rock, basically. Yeah,
- 6:27Speaker 1: it's good, though. What did you think was a scam
- 6:29Speaker 1: until you actually tried it? Expensive, ergonomic office chairs. Somebody said,
- 6:33Speaker 1: I caved, I got one, it fixed the constant back
- 6:35Speaker 1: pains I've been having for a decade. I could see
- 6:37Speaker 1: that working. These studio chairs are kind of like that,
- 6:39Speaker 1: and they're life-changing. It's like getting a good mattress for
- 6:42Speaker 1: the first time. You don't realize what a difference it
- 6:44Speaker 1: makes until you get one.
- 6:46Speaker 9: Well, along those lines, I would say this is when
- 6:48Speaker 9: I became an adult, when I realized that high thread
- 6:50Speaker 9: count sheets are not a scam.
- 6:52Speaker 1: They're so soft.
- 6:54Speaker 9: Because I've been sleeping on rough sheets my entire life.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Somebody said air fryers sounded like pure hype. But the
- 7:00Speaker 1: moment I tried it, I understood why everybody loves them. Well,
- 7:02Speaker 1: because we've been faked out on so many other things
- 7:05Speaker 1: over the years. What's the one that you didn't like?
- 7:07Speaker 1: Stupid Instant Pot. Instant Pot.
- 7:08Speaker 6: Yeah, I never used that.
- 7:09Speaker 1: It turned everything into pure soup. Hoka's. Somebody said, Hoka's Menace,
- 7:14Speaker 1: the shoes? Yeah. Somebody said, I thought they were way overpriced,
- 7:17Speaker 1: but then they saved my feet on our Disney vacation
- 7:20Speaker 1: with all the walking that we did. They are at
- 7:22Speaker 1: a different level. And that's what Menace wore when he
- 7:24Speaker 1: did the walk to Disney, 41 miles.
- 7:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:27Speaker 8: And I mean, I didn't think that they were great looking, but-
- 7:30Speaker 8: They're ugly. Now- All the other brands have copied Hoka.
- 7:35Speaker 8: And so you have Nikes that look like that now.
- 7:37Speaker 8: You have New Balances that look like that now.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Adidas, they all made them and they're super comfortable.
- 7:43Speaker 8: And I do have some news to share because I'm
- 7:46Speaker 8: an old man and I love those styles of shoes now.
- 7:49Speaker 8: that I have gotten rid of probably 90% of my Jordans.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Because I'm like, what? It's over. Then you said, oh,
- 7:56Speaker 1: the Yeezys are the most comfortable shoe out there. Wearing
- 7:59Speaker 1: shoes for comfort? That is an old man thing.
- 8:01Speaker 8: They're filled with anti-Semitism, so I had to get rid
- 8:04Speaker 8: of them.
- 8:04Speaker 5: We're supposed to.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Be trying to get rid of the Yeezys. It was
- 8:08Speaker 1: Yeezys all day, every day. They are the world's most
- 8:10Speaker 1: comfortable shoe. Yeah, Yeezys, yeah. You feel like you're walking
- 8:12Speaker 1: on a cloud of anti-Semitism. They do look like a
- 8:15Speaker 1: foot cast. It's like a gas suit.
- 8:16Speaker 8: They're insanely comfortable, but I no longer have any.
- 8:19Speaker 1: And then here, one last thing on the list here.
- 8:21Speaker 1: What did you think was a scam until you tried it?
- 8:22Speaker 1: Rice cookers. I thought it was pointless until I used one.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I regret not buying it sooner. I like having that.
- 8:28Speaker 6: I've never used one.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Anybody got anything else?
- 8:29Speaker 7: You know what I would put on the list? I'm
- 8:31Speaker 7: pretty sure you guys disagree. I was incredibly... Happily impressed
- 8:35Speaker 7: with Dubai chocolate.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. I thought it was worth the hype. The
- 8:40Speaker 1: one that you got us, Morgan.
- 8:41Speaker 6: Yeah, the crispity one.
- 8:42Speaker 1: That was awesome. Is it worth the price? No. No.
- 8:45Speaker 7: Because once it got that popular, it got insanely expensive.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Anybody else?
- 8:49Speaker 9: There's another one that I bet you Sammy's going to
- 8:51Speaker 9: agree with me on because it's very expensive.
- 8:53Speaker 6: And I was like, this is stupid. No, I haven't.
- 8:55Speaker 1: I love it.
- 8:55Speaker 6: The Dyson hair dryer.
- 8:57Speaker 1: It's the best.
- 8:58Speaker 6: It's a good one.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Menace bought one of those for his wife to try
- 9:00Speaker 1: to speed her up. It worked. That worked, but then
- 9:03Speaker 1: she got slow in other areas, right? Good. I thought
- 9:05Speaker 1: she still had a problem getting out of the house,
- 9:07Speaker 1: even with the Dyson.
- 9:08Speaker 8: I mean, yeah, she'll find reasons not to leave the house.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Right, she'll just find something else to be pokey about.
- 9:12Speaker 8: Oh, then the air wrap, too.
- 9:15Speaker 6: That I do think is overhyped.
- 9:16Speaker 1: That's another thing.
- 9:17Speaker 4: 877-44-WOODY.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Text us. What do you think should be on the list?
- 9:21Speaker 1: Over to 22987.
- 9:25Speaker 10: Show me pickled penis.
- 9:27Speaker 4: The Woody Show.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Of course, you know, you can call in anytime. You
- 9:35Speaker 1: can find us on social media. Look for us there
- 9:37Speaker 1: at The Woody Show. Texting, very popular. So easy. So easy.
- 9:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Send your text over to 22987. This one says, making
- 9:47Speaker 1: ice cream and listening. You guys are cracking me up.
- 9:50Speaker 1: You guys are great.
- 9:50Speaker 11: Thank you.
- 9:51Speaker 1: 484 says, I love listening to you guys. The ice
- 9:55Speaker 1: cream room is happy because of you. So I guess
- 9:58Speaker 1: they make ice cream for a living.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Wow.
- 10:00Speaker 1: They work at heaven? The ice cream room? Can we visit?
- 10:04Speaker 7: Let's take a field trip to the ice cream room.
- 10:08Speaker 1: You know how you can take tours of breweries and
- 10:10Speaker 1: there's the tasting room? Go to an ice cream factory
- 10:15Speaker 1: and then you just have like a An ice cream
- 10:18Speaker 1: social at the end of it.
- 10:19Speaker 7: I would have a visceral reaction. I would probably smile
- 10:22Speaker 7: and half cry.
- 10:24Speaker 1: I'd be so happy. That's got to be a thing.
- 10:26Speaker 1: You've got to be able to take a tour of
- 10:29Speaker 1: some kind of, I don't know, the Friars.
- 10:31Speaker 6: Can we ask for that for Menace's birthday month?
- 10:33Speaker 1: Yes. I want to go to Vermont. Make a note.
- 10:36Speaker 1: For Ben and Jerry's. I mean, Ben and Jerry's would
- 10:38Speaker 1: be cool, but I don't want to go all the
- 10:39Speaker 1: way to... I don't want to go to Vermont for that.
- 10:41Speaker 8: Yeah, I know we have... Too much hippie crap. We
- 10:43Speaker 8: have listeners that work at ice cream factories. Obviously, they
- 10:47Speaker 8: texted in, but they have offered that up.
- 10:49Speaker 1: So if you're down... Well, where was that?
- 10:51Speaker 4: Who knew?
- 10:52Speaker 1: This is the first... Greg, did you hear anything about that?
- 10:54Speaker 1: They offered an ice cream factory. What? Yeah. Let's do it.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Menace has been sitting on that news.
- 10:59Speaker 11: Oh, man.
- 10:59Speaker 8: Well, it's a brand that you said that you're not
- 11:01Speaker 8: a fan of, so that's why I didn't bring it up.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Well, Greg is. But yeah. But the.
- 11:06Speaker 8: they do have that job, you know, where your ice
- 11:09Speaker 8: cream tester and then they have the golden spoon.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I should be that person. Just the word cream. That's
- 11:14Speaker 1: my favorite word. Cream. Right?
- 11:17Speaker 7: It evokes like smooth and silky and, relaxing and that's
- 11:23Speaker 7: true but i love that word.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Anyway so we get your text messages greg is very
- 11:27Speaker 1: good about writing back to a lot of people we
- 11:29Speaker 1: try to reply to as many people as we can
- 11:31Speaker 1: yes uh on the text over to 22987 um but
- 11:36Speaker 1: every once in a while this is we say like
- 11:38Speaker 1: sometimes the energy is weird out there like what's going
- 11:40Speaker 1: on today there's certain days where people are just salty
- 11:43Speaker 1: yeah it's like man i don't know what the hell's.
- 11:44Speaker 6: Going on definitely hate listening And it's fine.
- 11:47Speaker 11: Like, you know.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Say what you want. We'll be your whipping boy. You
- 11:50Speaker 1: can take it out on us if you like. But
- 11:52Speaker 1: Greg will sometimes write back in a very immature way,
- 11:55Speaker 1: a very non-Greg way. Right. So don't come at me with, oh,
- 11:59Speaker 1: that's so immature.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:01Speaker 6: That's the point.
- 12:01Speaker 1: That's the point. Did you know there's an account on Instagram, Greg,
- 12:06Speaker 1: about your replies?
- 12:07Speaker 3: What?
- 12:08Speaker 11: Oh, yeah.
- 12:08Speaker 1: I think I did. I think I might have followed
- 12:11Speaker 1: them back.
- 12:11Speaker 5: Hold on.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Let me see. Following. And I just. I saw it recently.
- 12:16Speaker 1: I'd never seen this before. Oh, they just repost some
- 12:20Speaker 1: of your best. Hold on. Greg immature. So yeah, it's immature. Yeah.
- 12:26Speaker 1: So the, the account is at Greg immature. Okay. And
- 12:30Speaker 1: it has all of your, Oh, here it is. It
- 12:34Speaker 1: has your replies. I think I do follow them back.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Just so we're clear, bitch, you want our mouths to
- 12:39Speaker 1: be what your mom's legs are, never closed. It's all
- 12:44Speaker 1: of Greg's immature replies. I appreciate that even more. We'll
- 12:47Speaker 1: get a what jar when your mom gets a butt
- 12:49Speaker 1: slut jar. You feel me, dog?
- 12:52Speaker 6: I love this account.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Yes, if you like Greg's immature replies, you can have
- 12:57Speaker 1: them all the time. I remember that one now because
- 13:01Speaker 1: people thought we would say, what, too much. Yeah, FYI,
- 13:04Speaker 1: we have nothing to do with his account. This is
- 13:07Speaker 1: nobody on the show. Just a listener put it together.
- 13:09Speaker 1: And they're on X, Twitter, whatever, at Greg Immature as well.
- 13:13Speaker 5: That's hilarious.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Yeah, because it popped up, and I'm like, what the
- 13:16Speaker 1: hell is this? I'd never seen this before. Oh, my God,
- 13:18Speaker 1: some of these are insane. Wow, what's your favorite one?
- 13:22Speaker 6: The one I'm reading right now. That's so strange.
- 13:25Speaker 9: Get a grip is what your dad keeps yelling into
- 13:27Speaker 9: that saggy clam of that semen demon you call mom.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Savage. Some people deserve it. Greg is typically so classy
- 13:37Speaker 1: and proper. Yeah. And I don't like being mean, but
- 13:41Speaker 1: some people deserve it.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:42Speaker 1: All right. So Greg takes these text messages that we
- 13:45Speaker 1: get sent over to us at 22987. These are real replies.
- 13:48Speaker 1: He sends them off to the person who sent the
- 13:51Speaker 1: text in. But we get to help him decide which
- 13:53Speaker 1: one he goes with because, you know, he has to
- 13:55Speaker 1: make a decision. They're all so good. Can't send them all.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Right.
- 13:59Speaker 7: Heard your show for the first time today. Bunch of
- 14:01Speaker 7: stupid know-it-alls. What a waste of time.
- 14:03Speaker 6: Okay.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Rude.
- 14:05Speaker 4: All right.
- 14:06Speaker 7: How about, these are just super simple responses. How about, look, Rag,
- 14:09Speaker 7: if we wanted to hear from a little bitch, we'd
- 14:11Speaker 7: talk to Gina's new dog.
- 14:12Speaker 4: Yes!
- 14:13Speaker 1: Winner.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Winner.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Winner. Stop digging your hair out.
- 14:20Speaker 7: Or how about just something along the lines of, we
- 14:23Speaker 7: don't know it all, but we do know your favorite
- 14:25Speaker 7: meat substitutes are tofu and dildos.
- 14:28Speaker 8: You know what I'm saying?
- 14:31Speaker 1: It's so dumb. Also good. Just really stupid. Simple and stupid.
- 14:37Speaker 6: Oh, I mean, obviously, obviously I have to go with
- 14:39Speaker 6: the first one. That was incredible.
- 14:41Speaker 4: All right.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Of course, Gina votes for that one. It's about her.
- 14:44Speaker 6: Well, it's about my little bitch dog.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Defending your new little bitch. Those are great. Read the
- 14:51Speaker 1: second one again.
- 14:53Speaker 7: We don't know it all, but we do know your
- 14:54Speaker 7: favorite meat substitutes are tofu and dildos.
- 14:57Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? I love that you know
- 14:59Speaker 1: what I'm saying. You know what I'm saying?
- 15:00Speaker 2: You know what?
- 15:01Speaker 8: I might change my vote.
- 15:01Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
- 15:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Meat substitute. But then the first one incorporates look rag,
- 15:07Speaker 1: which I also like.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:08Speaker 1: What is it? Look rag. If we wanted to hear
- 15:10Speaker 1: from a little bitch, we'd talk to Gina's new dog.
- 15:13Speaker 5: First one's too good.
- 15:15Speaker 2: All right.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Menace, your vote. I'll go with number one. Number one.
- 15:19Speaker 5: I like number two.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Number two.
- 15:21Speaker 6: Number one.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Number one. I'll go with, uh, number one. Okay.
- 15:27Speaker 6: Just barely one out.
- 15:28Speaker 4: Bitch.
- 15:30Speaker 1: And they're being a bitch.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:31Speaker 6: He's typing now.
- 15:32Speaker 1: All right. Well, Greg, thank you very much. And I
- 15:35Speaker 1: hope you feel vindicated.
- 15:38Speaker 4: All right.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Well, so here's the, uh, here's the news involving sea bass.
- 15:43Speaker 1: And the text, I don't know. He's not in here.
- 15:46Speaker 1: We don't know where he's at.
- 15:47Speaker 6: He's hiding.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Um, He might be still getting the DUI queue together
- 15:51Speaker 1: or something. Anyway. Seabass loves him. The text.
- 15:57Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Constantly like he'll sit in the office while we're on
- 16:01Speaker 1: the air. He'll sit in the office and just sit
- 16:03Speaker 1: at his desk and be going over what people are
- 16:06Speaker 1: texting in. And he picks fights with people, even people
- 16:09Speaker 1: who don't deserve a fight to be picked with.
- 16:11Speaker 6: People that are nice and complimentary.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Yeah. They'll they'll text something over like something. I can't
- 16:17Speaker 1: even think of an example. It just happened, though, yesterday.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Like a song request. Yeah.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:21Speaker 7: And he'll text back something very snarky about them or us.
- 16:25Speaker 6: Like that last segment was amazing.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Oh, really?
- 16:27Speaker 6: You're amazed by it?
- 16:28Speaker 1: Is it amazing? Yeah. Yes. Or, well, that's what unintelligent
- 16:34Speaker 1: people say.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 16:36Speaker 7: He has a huge pet peeve with LOL. Like, oh,
- 16:38Speaker 7: I loved what Gina just said about such and such.
- 16:40Speaker 1: LOL. Really? You're laughing out loud? You laughed out loud.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:45Speaker 1: So when, look, just. We do crossroads. We do Greg's
- 16:49Speaker 1: immature replies to text messages. We're more than happy to
- 16:52Speaker 1: dish it back when it's being dished. It's when it's
- 16:54Speaker 1: not being dished. And it's just people who are interacting,
- 16:57Speaker 1: engaging with the show, like people who are fans of
- 16:59Speaker 1: the show. And you're being a dick to them that
- 17:02Speaker 1: I hate. I hate it. We've talked about signing texts
- 17:06Speaker 1: from who it's on. So if it said, whatever that was,
- 17:10Speaker 1: signed by Seabass, that would be different. Because then people
- 17:14Speaker 1: get really upset. They go, well, hey guys, I'm sorry.
- 17:16Speaker 1: I'm a fan of the show. Sorry, buddy. Dude, it's
- 17:21Speaker 1: not helping. It doesn't help us. It hurts us. The
- 17:25Speaker 1: people who deserve it, fine. The people who don't deserve it,
- 17:28Speaker 1: I'm not okay with. And so yesterday, I asked Sammy
- 17:32Speaker 1: to reach out to the people that handle all the
- 17:35Speaker 1: tech stuff. And we have Ixnayed his access to the text. Oh,
- 17:41Speaker 1: he's going to cry. Too bad. He loves the text.
- 17:45Speaker 1: He could text us all day. Remember he was doing
- 17:47Speaker 1: that with a burner phone.
- 17:48Speaker 6: He'll start that.
- 17:49Speaker 1: He can send us a text from his own phone
- 17:52Speaker 1: if he's trying to do his trolling stuff that he
- 17:54Speaker 1: was doing before. But when it comes to a listener
- 17:57Speaker 1: getting a response from CBass, that doesn't happen anymore. Oh, damn. Good.
- 18:05Speaker 7: If you had a shop, let's say a coffee shop
- 18:08Speaker 7: and you sold croissants and somebody said, these are amazing.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Are they amazing?
- 18:12Speaker 8: Really?
- 18:13Speaker 1: Shut up. Yeah. Simpleton. Yeah. I'd never get back. Who
- 18:17Speaker 1: would treat their customers like that? I don't want that
- 18:19Speaker 1: representing the show. Like if you're texting, we're asking you
- 18:22Speaker 1: all the time, hey, be a part of the show.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Call in, text in, blah, blah, blah. And when you
- 18:26Speaker 1: do that- And he gets some really snappy douchebag response
- 18:30Speaker 1: back for no reason whatsoever. Again, unsigned. If you're being
- 18:35Speaker 1: a douche and you get it back, fine. You deserve it.
- 18:39Speaker 1: I got no problem. Anybody on this show telling somebody
- 18:43Speaker 1: to go F themselves who deserves it. It's when people
- 18:46Speaker 1: are just participating and they get snapped at and called.
- 18:50Speaker 1: you know, names or... Morons. Called stupid.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:55Speaker 1: And then you don't sign it. Well, and that's the thing.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Not only.
- 18:57Speaker 9: And he doubled down because we... Remember, we asked him
- 19:00Speaker 9: to start signing.
- 19:01Speaker 1: He didn't.
- 19:02Speaker 6: And he still refers to himself in third person. So
- 19:04Speaker 6: it looks like somebody else is doing it on his behalf.
- 19:06Speaker 1: That is true. Yeah. That is also true. So now... Okay, well,
- 19:11Speaker 1: you can't go on the text anymore.
- 19:13Speaker 5: You texted yourself right out of the text. What's he
- 19:14Speaker 5: going to do with all his free time now?
- 19:16Speaker 8: Yeah, that was just my biggest thing of him just
- 19:19Speaker 8: signing whatever he's writing. Because there'll be stuff that'll be
- 19:23Speaker 8: directed towards me or Greg or Gina or Woody. And
- 19:27Speaker 8: then I'm like, CBass, I'm out face-to-face with listeners all
- 19:32Speaker 8: the time.
- 19:33Speaker 1: So it looks like Menace is the one that responded.
- 19:35Speaker 8: And I have no idea what they're talking about.
- 19:37Speaker 1: And then you have to go back and say, hey,
- 19:39Speaker 1: just so you know, that wasn't me. Yeah. I'm not
- 19:41Speaker 1: saying that he can't earn it back. He can earn
- 19:44Speaker 1: it back. We might give him another opportunity at some point.
- 19:47Speaker 1: But right now you're on a timeout, dude.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Suspend.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:49Speaker 1: You're you're on a timeout. I want to find out
- 19:52Speaker 1: from because it's a different company that hosts the program,
- 19:56Speaker 1: you know, that puts all the text together so we
- 19:58Speaker 1: can see them. I know there are different things, different
- 20:01Speaker 1: levels of access. Like it'd be one thing if he
- 20:03Speaker 1: can log in and see.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Yeah, but it takes away the option where it says reply.
- 20:09Speaker 6: That would be torturous for him. That would be worse.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Or you could see it, but you can't reply.
- 20:14Speaker 6: That would make him insane.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Everybody's texting LOL. Sign everything LOL.
- 20:20Speaker 11: And amazing.
- 20:21Speaker 1: I just want to say, and sometimes when we see,
- 20:23Speaker 1: because I'm like, who's fighting on the text with somebody?
- 20:27Speaker 1: Why are you fighting with somebody?
- 20:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 20:29Speaker 1: And it turns out it's CBAS. And I go, can
- 20:31Speaker 1: you not? And we've talked about the signing of the text.
- 20:34Speaker 1: And I'll write back. You're arguing with CBAS.
- 20:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Right.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Just so it's clear. Yeah. For those people who have
- 20:40Speaker 1: gotten some of those things before. Apologies on behalf of
- 20:43Speaker 1: the rest of us. If you're still. I think I speak.
- 20:46Speaker 1: I'm saying I think I speak for everybody. That's not
- 20:49Speaker 1: not not cool. And so, yeah, we've pulled his text.
- 20:52Speaker 1: I pulled his text access.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Yeah. Good.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Done.
- 20:56Speaker 5: Does he know it?
- 20:57Speaker 8: Well, I was going to tell him.
- 20:59Speaker 1: I'm sure he logged in this morning. You didn't tell him.
- 21:01Speaker 1: We just got the notification last night.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Yep.
- 21:03Speaker 1: It came through from, you know. But it was confirmed.
- 21:05Speaker 1: It was confirmed. Yeah, access taken away confirmed. And they
- 21:08Speaker 1: said they actually found a couple different.
- 21:09Speaker 8: Oh, you don't say.
- 21:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:12Speaker 11: Weird.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Yeah, they said they found a couple different. So maybe he,
- 21:15Speaker 1: you know, they.
- 21:16Speaker 6: Life finds a way.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, he now has a new project to hack
- 21:21Speaker 1: in somehow. Yeah, get back in. Yeah, the requested access
- 21:23Speaker 1: removal has been completed for Sebastian Davis from the alt
- 21:28Speaker 1: hip cricket account. We also found and removed two user
- 21:31Speaker 1: records associated with his name. If there are any other
- 21:35Speaker 1: accounts you believe Seabass may have access to, please let
- 21:38Speaker 1: us know. We'd be happy to check those as well.
- 21:42Speaker 1: From Mohammed over at tech support.
- 21:44Speaker 8: Well, you probably didn't come in because you ruined his day.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Yeah. He loves the tech. You probably left. Well, you
- 21:49Speaker 1: know what? When you don't do it responsibly, it's like,
- 21:52Speaker 1: I have to do it with my kids. I'm sorry.
- 21:54Speaker 6: Yeah, 47 strikes and you're out. Yeah, but he's addicted. Like,
- 21:57Speaker 6: he's going to go through withdrawals from this.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Yeah. We're going to take a quick break. We've got
- 22:02Speaker 1: some more Woody Show next. Hang on. The Woody Show
- 22:04Speaker 1: will be right back.
- 22:05Speaker 5: This is The Woody Show.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Hi, welcome back, everybody.
- 22:11Speaker 4: Hey.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Yep. Random thoughts. I still would like to know how
- 22:15Speaker 1: to pick a lock. Yeah, that would be pretty cool.
- 22:16Speaker 1: That would be pretty cool to do.
- 22:18Speaker 8: There's these new locks I see on Instagram.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Oh, I've seen those.
- 22:21Speaker 4: They're those little keys.
- 22:23Speaker 8: They're supposed to unlock things super fast.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Yeah, they're tools. Instagram has a thing for selling tools
- 22:28Speaker 1: for burglars. Yeah.
- 22:29Speaker 4: I hate that.
- 22:30Speaker 1: It's stupid. Have you seen those things pop up?
- 22:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:33Speaker 1: That's one of them. There's another one.
- 22:35Speaker 8: Yeah, they're super small, and then they said, oh, get
- 22:37Speaker 8: a lock open in, like, seconds.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Oh, there's another one where, you know, if you have
- 22:42Speaker 1: to fob into something, it's this little orange device. Oh,
- 22:45Speaker 1: it's called Flipper. Flipper, yeah. Little orange device, and you
- 22:48Speaker 1: can just walk up to the thing and just hit
- 22:50Speaker 1: this thing, and it just keeps doing all the codes
- 22:52Speaker 1: until it opens it. Hits one. And it just opens the,
- 22:55Speaker 1: you know, like for our studio door, for example.
- 22:58Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah. And you just beep.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Opens up. They're selling this on Instagram.
- 23:02Speaker 6: I would like that because I always lose things.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Now, does it work? I hope not. I don't know.
- 23:06Speaker 1: The flipper does for sure. It does, really?
- 23:08Speaker 5: I keep saying the name.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Shout out flipper. I want one. That's the next commercial
- 23:13Speaker 1: we're going to hear menace on. I'll be right after
- 23:16Speaker 1: the Raising Cane's commercial. Need to break into a house. Hey,
- 23:20Speaker 1: it's menace. Check out flipper.
- 23:21Speaker 7: Last time I used a locksmith, I was locked out
- 23:23Speaker 7: of my house. He used like a No Country for
- 23:25Speaker 7: Old Men.
- 23:26Speaker 1: Air gun thing i've seen that put it over the
- 23:29Speaker 1: lock and it just went and then it opened i
- 23:32Speaker 1: don't know if that works uh i think they might
- 23:35Speaker 1: have changed something with some of the locks so you
- 23:37Speaker 1: couldn't do that because for a while people bad guys
- 23:40Speaker 1: were taking uh tennis balls cutting them in half oh
- 23:44Speaker 1: yeah putting it over the lock the outside of the
- 23:46Speaker 1: lock and then pushing on the the tennis balls it
- 23:48Speaker 1: creates that almost like a plunger would for a toilet
- 23:51Speaker 1: And it was doing the same thing as what Greg's
- 23:53Speaker 1: talking about. It worked in one one-hundredth of a second.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Was it Kias? The USB cables were doing something like
- 24:02Speaker 1: you can compromise things that way. Somebody was talking about
- 24:06Speaker 1: how they went into get a key made. I think
- 24:08Speaker 1: it was Manus. And there's all the different options. It
- 24:10Speaker 1: takes forever. Get keys in a minute. Those kiosks at
- 24:13Speaker 1: the store. Minute key. Some of those and some of
- 24:19Speaker 1: those guys are in the parking lots. They can like
- 24:22Speaker 1: recreate your fob for your car. I go, how do
- 24:26Speaker 1: you do that? I'd love that.
- 24:27Speaker 8: I just bought one for a gate key where it's
- 24:29Speaker 8: just like, it clones it.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Really? A couple of seconds. Yeah. It was like 13.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Let's say I lost, I lost a key, but I,
- 24:36Speaker 1: I don't know. Like they, they can't like, uh, it's
- 24:39Speaker 1: not like they look up, The code for- Yeah, the fob.
- 24:41Speaker 1: I don't know how they do that. You actually still
- 24:43Speaker 1: have to have one of the fobs, I guess. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Because to have a.
- 24:47Speaker 9: Full fob replaced is like $ 1, 000.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Maybe they have one of Menace's new client's devices.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Well, I'm on their website. I'm ready for my commercial now.
- 24:56Speaker 1: All right.
- 24:57Speaker 8: So don't you hate it when you're at a parking
- 24:59Speaker 8: garage and you have to pay for parking?
- 25:00Speaker 1: Yes.
- 25:02Speaker 8: Well, how about get Flipper? Go to Flipper.net right now
- 25:06Speaker 8: and get yourself a device. Use the code MENACE for
- 25:10Speaker 8: a 20% discount.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Allegedly. Not a real commercial, but check out Flipper.net. And
- 25:19Speaker 1: if you act right now, we're throwing this thing that
- 25:20Speaker 1: just makes it so you can easily pick any lock. Yeah.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Which is a couple clicks. Do we just have to go.
- 25:26Speaker 6: Old school and go home and push our dresser against
- 25:28Speaker 6: the door?
- 25:29Speaker 8: How are we going to do this? Are you in
- 25:30Speaker 8: public places and you just want to turn off TVs
- 25:32Speaker 8: for fun?
- 25:33Speaker 1: Get Flipper. Get you a gun.
- 25:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:36Speaker 6: Oh, I got one.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Yeah. See that people that had the guy stuck up
- 25:40Speaker 1: in the chimney?
- 25:41Speaker 3: Yep.
- 25:41Speaker 1: I can get him down. I would have assumed it
- 25:44Speaker 1: was a rabid raccoon and just out of panic for
- 25:47Speaker 1: getting rabies.
- 25:48Speaker 6: Here for your life.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Just shoot up there.
- 25:50Speaker 6: It was coming right for you.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Yeah. Because, you know, I can't have a thing coming. Oh,
- 25:54Speaker 1: that was a person there?
- 25:55Speaker 11: Oh, no.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Whoops.
- 25:56Speaker 4: Oh, man.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I thought it was a rabid raccoon. My bad. I'm sorry, guys.
- 26:01Speaker 4: The Woody Show.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Before the break. Mentioned how, like, you know, when you're
- 26:10Speaker 1: an adult and you're holding your nose to jump in
- 26:14Speaker 1: a pool. It's very childlike. But then I'd mentioned while, yeah.
- 26:20Speaker 1: people who are adults who very basic when I say
- 26:23Speaker 1: swim I mean just be able to get back to
- 26:26Speaker 1: the edge of the pool or you know tread water
- 26:29Speaker 1: for half a second without just sinking to the bottom
- 26:32Speaker 1: like a dumb rock or like a grown adult who
- 26:37Speaker 1: doesn't know how to ride a bike I find it
- 26:40Speaker 1: hard to trust these people. Like, what's wrong with you?
- 26:42Speaker 1: There must be something really wrong with you. What's the backstory?
- 26:44Speaker 1: Somebody texted and said, I can't swim and I can't
- 26:47Speaker 1: ride a bike. I'm 44 years old.
- 26:49Speaker 6: Oh, no.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Hey, look. Hey, I'm not saying I'm a perfect person either.
- 26:53Speaker 1: I can do both those things. I can ride a
- 26:55Speaker 1: bike and I can swim.
- 26:56Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 26:58Speaker 1: But, okay, so if you're asking me, all right, Woody, well,
- 27:01Speaker 1: as an adult, what's something that I feel like I
- 27:03Speaker 1: should be able to do as a full-grown adult that
- 27:06Speaker 1: I don't have? the knowledge or skill for. Yeah. I
- 27:10Speaker 1: always thought this was going to be more important than
- 27:13Speaker 1: it is now because it's really hard to find cars
- 27:15Speaker 1: that do that, but to drive a stick.
- 27:18Speaker 6: Oh, you can't drive a stick?
- 27:19Speaker 1: Nope. Never had to.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Never had a car that required it. I wouldn't mind learning.
- 27:24Speaker 1: I just never had to and it was never something
- 27:25Speaker 1: I just made time for. You could learn it in
- 27:28Speaker 1: five minutes.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Sure.
- 27:29Speaker 11: And it's fun.
- 27:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:30Speaker 1: I've learned way more complicated things. Well, I disagree. If
- 27:33Speaker 1: women can do it, right, Greg? You know what I'm saying?
- 27:36Speaker 8: I've had three vehicles that were stick.
- 27:39Speaker 1: I hated them. I know. People say they're fun.
- 27:42Speaker 8: No, they're not.
- 27:42Speaker 1: I could see if you have like a performance vehicle. Yeah, yeah.
- 27:46Speaker 6: I think it's fun unless you're a hill.
- 27:49Speaker 9: Because I used to drive a Jeep with a stick,
- 27:52Speaker 9: and I thought it was super fun.
- 27:53Speaker 11: It's badass.
- 27:55Speaker 1: The other thing as a full-grown adult, it's kind of embarrassing.
- 27:57Speaker 1: I don't know how to play poker.
- 28:01Speaker 2: Wow.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Like, what's the river? What's the nut? People have tried
- 28:04Speaker 1: to explain it to me, and they go, whoa, the
- 28:06Speaker 1: full flush and whatever. It's like trying to explain tech
- 28:09Speaker 1: to Greg, right? I go, sure, whatever. I feel like
- 28:13Speaker 1: this is just all made up. That's interesting because.
- 28:15Speaker 9: Your personality and your low resting pulse, I think you'd
- 28:19Speaker 9: be good at poker, like in a poker tournament.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Maybe, but people who have tried to explain the game
- 28:23Speaker 1: to me, and maybe because it just... You don't want
- 28:24Speaker 1: to learn it. Agreed. Same. Same.
- 28:27Speaker 7: And then sometimes they bluff and then they have to
- 28:30Speaker 7: show the cards, but other times they bluff, win the pot,
- 28:34Speaker 7: and then they don't show their cards.
- 28:35Speaker 2: What?
- 28:35Speaker 13: It's because everyone else folded and you didn't pay to
- 28:38Speaker 13: see my cards, so you don't have to show them.
- 28:40Speaker 1: So I feel like as an adult, I should know
- 28:42Speaker 1: how to do it, but I don't.
- 28:45Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 28:45Speaker 9: I have two that I think are kind of in
- 28:47Speaker 9: the male camp and the female camp. I've never had
- 28:50Speaker 9: to do it. I think about it all the time.
- 28:52Speaker 9: I even bought them. I don't know how to use
- 28:54Speaker 9: jumper cables.
- 28:56Speaker 11: Really?
- 28:56Speaker 1: I've never done it.
- 28:57Speaker 9: I've never been in a situation to use them. And
- 28:59Speaker 9: I think I should really learn.
- 29:01Speaker 1: How to use jumper cables. That's even easier than driving
- 29:03Speaker 1: a stick.
- 29:04Speaker 4: Oh, really?
- 29:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:05Speaker 8: But they've made it kind of complicated these days because
- 29:07Speaker 8: they put like these cases over the engine and stuff
- 29:11Speaker 8: like that.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I've never had to.
- 29:12Speaker 6: And I think I should really learn.
- 29:14Speaker 1: But the battery, you know, hooks to the battery, right?
- 29:17Speaker 8: Yeah, but they're stuck over the battery. I've jumped cars
- 29:19Speaker 8: many times.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Over the battery?
- 29:21Speaker 6: Plastic things over the battery.
- 29:22Speaker 8: Yeah, they'll have like a cover.
- 29:24Speaker 1: They'll have like terminal cover where the cable connects to
- 29:28Speaker 1: the two terminals. Oh, they come off.
- 29:29Speaker 6: It's just like, what am I looking at?
- 29:31Speaker 9: And then the other one is because everyone else makes
- 29:33Speaker 9: it look so easy and Sammy's never going to look
- 29:35Speaker 9: at me the same. I've never and have no desire
- 29:38Speaker 9: to and do not know how to bake cookies.
- 29:40Speaker 6: From scratch. Not just like slice it and put it
- 29:43Speaker 6: in the oven like from the pre-made. Gina, it's so
- 29:45Speaker 6: stupid easy. No, it can't be.
- 29:46Speaker 1: It's stirring.
- 29:47Speaker 6: It's baking.
- 29:48Speaker 1: I don't know how to bake. Even women can do that.
- 29:50Speaker 1: You know? Yeah, you can follow the recipe.
- 29:53Speaker 6: I just don't trust it. I don't trust it. I'm like,
- 29:55Speaker 6: make a pie dough. No, thank you.
- 29:57Speaker 1: No, just buy the pie dough.
- 29:58Speaker 5: Well, pie dough is very difficult.
- 30:00Speaker 6: Cookies are not.
- 30:02Speaker 1: Greg, as a full-grown adult, and there's a number of things,
- 30:05Speaker 1: I'm sure, that are on your list. So many things.
- 30:07Speaker 1: I feel like Greg tells us about them almost every day.
- 30:09Speaker 1: It gets longer and longer. Bill pay. Oh, I just
- 30:13Speaker 1: signed up for that. Thank you. Wow. For my mortgage.
- 30:16Speaker 7: Never going to the post office to mail a mortgage
- 30:18Speaker 7: payment again. But no, not just as an adult, but
- 30:21Speaker 7: as a grown man, and I've mentioned this before, I
- 30:24Speaker 7: cannot make money. A restaurante steak. And that seems like
- 30:28Speaker 7: it should be the easiest thing. And I pride myself
- 30:31Speaker 7: on being a good cook.
- 30:32Speaker 6: I think that's just all about using a lot of butter.
- 30:33Speaker 1: Yeah, there's so much butter on it.
- 30:36Speaker 6: Butter base that bitch.
- 30:37Speaker 7: I thought you said you figured it out. I maybe
- 30:40Speaker 7: made one in my lifetime that I thought, all right,
- 30:42Speaker 7: that was okay.
- 30:42Speaker 1: More recently, you said that you nailed it.
- 30:44Speaker 6: I think that was more of a fluke. Like he
- 30:46Speaker 6: didn't know how he did it.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Total fluke. Just go ribeye and throw a bunch of
- 30:49Speaker 1: butter on it. Yeah, and I've mentioned ironing.
- 30:51Speaker 2: Shirts.
- 30:52Speaker 1: I don't get how anybody does it.
- 30:55Speaker 6: You do have to pull it on and put it
- 30:56Speaker 6: on and twist.
- 30:57Speaker 1: It a lot.
- 30:57Speaker 7: But if it's not perfectly flat on the thing, it makes...
- 31:00Speaker 7: You're ironing in a crease into the shirt.
- 31:02Speaker 1: I saw the dumbest thing, speaking of things they sell
- 31:04Speaker 1: on Instagram. It's this thing... You know, in front of
- 31:08Speaker 1: a car dealer, they'll have that big, wiggly, inflated eye.
- 31:10Speaker 11: Oh, I love that guy.
- 31:11Speaker 1: It's the same kind of thing, except you put this
- 31:13Speaker 1: up under the shirt. So you stick the top of
- 31:16Speaker 1: it through the head hole, and you turn it on,
- 31:19Speaker 1: and it inflates. And so it looks like, remember Big Hero?
- 31:24Speaker 1: or whatever, Big Hero 6. That big marshmallow man looking thing.
- 31:28Speaker 1: It looks like your shirt is being worn by one
- 31:30Speaker 1: of those things, and it's blowing kind of warm air
- 31:32Speaker 1: through it and takes the wrinkles off.
- 31:34Speaker 6: That sounds amazing.
- 31:35Speaker 2: I love that.
- 31:35Speaker 1: It seems very inefficient. One shirt at a time. It's
- 31:38Speaker 1: got to be, you know.
- 31:39Speaker 6: I don't know. I kind of like that.
- 31:41Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 31:41Speaker 6: It's like an internal iron.
- 31:42Speaker 1: I would totally get one. Because I hate ironing.
- 31:45Speaker 6: I know.
- 31:45Speaker 11: Me too.
- 31:46Speaker 1: I used to iron all my mom's work clothes. So
- 31:48Speaker 1: I know how to iron, Greg. I'll iron yours for you.
- 31:51Speaker 1: It's so hard. Okay.
- 31:53Speaker 8: I pretend I really know how to do it, but
- 31:55Speaker 8: I don't really know what I'm doing.
- 31:57Speaker 1: So I just put a little extra on there. Well, read,
- 31:59Speaker 1: write and speak. I can't do. But you can. That's
- 32:02Speaker 1: the dyslexia.
- 32:03Speaker 8: But the tipping, you know, I know you say, oh, yeah,
- 32:08Speaker 8: just move the, you know.
- 32:09Speaker 1: Oh, how to figure out the tip.
- 32:10Speaker 11: Double it.
- 32:11Speaker 1: It's incredible to me. That is another good one. Adults
- 32:15Speaker 1: who can't figure out the tip. I suck at percentages,
- 32:19Speaker 1: but 20 is so easy to figure out. Okay, the
- 32:21Speaker 1: bill is like 160.
- 32:22Speaker 8: You can figure out 10.
- 32:23Speaker 1: You can figure out 20. Just double 10.
- 32:25Speaker 8: Okay, let's say the bill is like 160 bucks.
- 32:27Speaker 1: Okay.
- 32:28Speaker 4: 160 bucks.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Wait, hold on, hold on.
- 32:30Speaker 8: I was going to tell you what I would just
- 32:33Speaker 8: put off the top of the head. I would probably
- 32:35Speaker 8: be like, okay, maybe 185 or something.
- 32:39Speaker 1: For the total. For the total. Okay, so check it out.
- 32:43Speaker 1: How much would the tip be? Just the tip. If
- 32:45Speaker 1: it was 20%. Yeah, if you're going to do... Just
- 32:47Speaker 1: a tip.
- 32:47Speaker 8: If you're going to do 20% on 160... I don't
- 32:50Speaker 8: even think about that. I just look at it and
- 32:51Speaker 8: I go, okay, 160, I'll put... You go back five.
- 32:52Speaker 1: So 160.00 is 160, right?
- 32:53Speaker 2: 160 bucks.
- 32:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 32:54Speaker 1: So if we're doing tens, right? If we're going to
- 32:56Speaker 1: figure 10%. Yeah, what's 10% of that? You just move
- 32:58Speaker 1: one over. So 10% of 160 is $ 16. That's 10%.
- 32:59Speaker 5: Okay.
- 32:59Speaker 1: So you just add $ 16 to 160. And if you
- 33:01Speaker 1: do 20%, 16 now becomes... 16 plus 16 is $ 32.
- 33:17Speaker 1: $ 32 is a 20% tip. And I didn't mean to.
- 33:18Speaker 1: Total of $ 192. Because you're going off vibes.
- 33:20Speaker 8: 10% vibes.
- 33:20Speaker 1: That's why I just pushed the bill away. That's also
- 33:22Speaker 1: why the 20 is the easiest one. Because you just
- 33:24Speaker 1: move the decimal place over one thing from the dollars
- 33:26Speaker 1: and cents. and double whatever that amount is. Or don't
- 33:43Speaker 1: even think of festivals if that's throwing you off. In
- 33:45Speaker 1: this case, $ 16. Just divide by 10.
- 33:47Speaker 5: Or menace a lot of receipts at the bottom. They
- 33:48Speaker 5: do the math for you.
- 33:50Speaker 1: Well, thank God.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:51Speaker 1: Shout out to those places. Yeah, but it's people that
- 33:55Speaker 1: you see that are like super smart or you look
- 33:57Speaker 1: up to in some way like, oh, these people are
- 33:59Speaker 1: really sharp. They have a really good job. This really
- 34:01Speaker 1: big job.
- 34:02Speaker 5: Right.
- 34:02Speaker 1: And they go, you know, can you figure this out?
- 34:05Speaker 1: Can you do the tip?
- 34:06Speaker 7: There is this drugstore that I applied to as a, Well,
- 34:10Speaker 7: let's see.
- 34:10Speaker 1: I was about 20. And they had a math test
- 34:14Speaker 1: to get this job.
- 34:15Speaker 11: Really?
- 34:15Speaker 1: And I stood up and walked out. You know what?
- 34:20Speaker 1: What job? It was at a drugstore. And I was
- 34:23Speaker 1: just to be a cashier or a helper.
- 34:25Speaker 6: Well, that makes sense.
- 34:26Speaker 1: Just in general. Just to be, in general, an employee
- 34:29Speaker 1: of this drugstore. I know what you're talking about.
- 34:31Speaker 7: And the questions were... we have a garden hose that
- 34:34Speaker 7: is priced at $ 12. It used to be $ 16. What
- 34:39Speaker 7: percentage is that off? And I'm like, percentage.
- 34:42Speaker 1: So I worked as a cashier at a grocery store.
- 34:46Speaker 1: Super fresh was the, uh, the chain of grocery stores
- 34:49Speaker 1: in the East coast.
- 34:49Speaker 5: Right.
- 34:49Speaker 1: So, uh, that was the part of the training was, okay,
- 34:54Speaker 1: if it's three, four, $ 5, how much are each? Like
- 34:58Speaker 1: if somebody only buys, how much is it? Because you
- 35:01Speaker 1: used to, it was, you know, still, we had the scanners,
- 35:03Speaker 1: you know what I mean? But it wasn't as advanced
- 35:05Speaker 1: as it is now, obviously. So, like, you would have
- 35:07Speaker 1: to go, oh, and do the math in your head
- 35:09Speaker 1: to make sure that you're not screwing the customer over. So, yeah,
- 35:13Speaker 1: it was like a math system. It was blows.
- 35:14Speaker 7: And then they reversed the questions. Like, the original price
- 35:17Speaker 7: is $ 22. Now it's $ 17.
- 35:19Speaker 1: 50. What's the percentage that we took off?
- 35:21Speaker 6: No, thank you.
- 35:22Speaker 7: My friend from high school, his father owned the store.
- 35:26Speaker 7: I probably could have just gotten the job by saying.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Oh, Mr.
- 35:30Speaker 7: Allen, can I get this job? But instead, I just said,
- 35:33Speaker 7: you know what? I can't work here. This math test
- 35:35Speaker 7: is effing impossible.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Way too hard.
- 35:38Speaker 7: And by the way, when you go, if I had
- 35:40Speaker 7: gotten the job, all I would have to do is
- 35:42Speaker 7: take the item and go, beep.
- 35:44Speaker 1: You did the math for me.
- 35:45Speaker 6: I'm overqualified.
- 35:46Speaker 1: You could have been manager right now.
- 35:47Speaker 4: I know.
- 35:49Speaker 1: I thought it was cool being a cashier because I
- 35:52Speaker 1: enjoyed the whole, like, making change thing. Yeah. Like, that...
- 35:56Speaker 1: I thought about this as I was standing at the
- 35:58Speaker 1: grocery store recently thinking like, man, being a cashier would
- 36:00Speaker 1: be so boring now.
- 36:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Because it's like. Yeah. It just tells you. Grocery store,
- 36:04Speaker 1: at least you're like scanning all the stuff.
- 36:05Speaker 3: Right.
- 36:06Speaker 1: But like to be a cashier at certain other places
- 36:09Speaker 1: like like a fast food place.
- 36:11Speaker 5: Right.
- 36:11Speaker 1: You just kind of take the order and you just
- 36:13Speaker 1: wait there while the person scans their card. You don't
- 36:15Speaker 1: even take the card and run it. You don't do anything.
- 36:18Speaker 1: So boring. Although, it's better when we take the credit cards. Remember,
- 36:22Speaker 1: you used to have to get the carbon copy, flimsy
- 36:25Speaker 1: paper receipt thing.
- 36:26Speaker 11: Oh, yeah.
- 36:26Speaker 6: With the three layers.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Oh, that sucked. Or the one that had that big handle. Oh, yeah.
- 36:33Speaker 1: That was a pain in the ass. Then you had
- 36:34Speaker 1: to fill stuff out, wait for a code to come
- 36:36Speaker 1: through on the machine, write the code. Old timey. It
- 36:39Speaker 1: sounds like we're 1,000 years old. That's the thing. It
- 36:41Speaker 1: wasn't that long ago. When you think about the technology,
- 36:43Speaker 1: it wasn't that long ago. Now it's too easy. I know.
- 36:46Speaker 5: It's easy.
- 36:50Speaker 1: All right, welcome back.
- 36:51Speaker 2: Hey.
- 36:51Speaker 1: It is the Woody Show. Yeah. We'll wrap this up.
- 36:55Speaker 1: We were talking about things that you're a grown-ass adult now.
- 36:58Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 36:59Speaker 1: There are probably some things that you should know how
- 37:01Speaker 1: to do that you just don't. True. Shared a number
- 37:04Speaker 1: of things. Mine was, you know, playing poker, driving a stick.
- 37:08Speaker 4: Right.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Right. Not a man. Yeah. Sammy, what's yours?
- 37:11Speaker 12: So I don't know how to hang something with like a,
- 37:16Speaker 12: is it a stud?
- 37:16Speaker 5: Not a stud, but what's the insert?
- 37:19Speaker 1: Like the little plastic anchors that you put in there? Yeah,
- 37:23Speaker 1: that goes in and then you put it.
- 37:25Speaker 10: I just like.
- 37:26Speaker 5: put in a regular nail or something and hope.
- 37:30Speaker 1: For the best. Do you at least look for a stud? No,
- 37:34Speaker 1: I don't.
- 37:34Speaker 5: I have no clue how to do that.
- 37:35Speaker 6: I just, I was in an apartment.
- 37:38Speaker 12: One time and I, I did hang something with just
- 37:40Speaker 12: a nail. And then when I was moving out, I
- 37:42Speaker 12: couldn't get it out. Cause I must've put it into
- 37:44Speaker 12: a stud and it never came out. And I just
- 37:46Speaker 12: moved out with a nail still in the wall.
- 37:48Speaker 1: The anchors are for when you're just going into that
- 37:50Speaker 1: like area between, you know, the studs and just the
- 37:53Speaker 1: drywall area, because the drywall is just gypsum and it'll come,
- 37:56Speaker 1: you know, just come apart, fall apart.
- 37:58Speaker 6: Have you ever like thumped a melon? Like you can
- 38:00Speaker 6: tell when there's a stud behind something. No, I can't
- 38:02Speaker 6: do that either.
- 38:02Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 38:03Speaker 5: I have no clue what anyone is talking about when
- 38:04Speaker 5: they're like, oh, you just not, and it.
- 38:05Speaker 6: Sounds like, I don't know.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Here's what I had. Can somebody who works in construction
- 38:11Speaker 1: explain to me the coolest thing? This guy, he was
- 38:15Speaker 1: running wires at my house, like an audio visual guy
- 38:18Speaker 1: or whatever. And he had this thing. It was like
- 38:20Speaker 1: a magnet. And he just kind of ran it along drywall.
- 38:23Speaker 1: And it like, It stuck to the wall when there
- 38:25Speaker 1: was a stud.
- 38:27Speaker 4: Oh, that's awesome.
- 38:27Speaker 1: Have you seen that? No, that sounds cool. I don't know.
- 38:30Speaker 1: What is it?
- 38:30Speaker 2: Isn't that what a stud finder is?
- 38:34Speaker 1: The stud behind. No, because that just measures density to
- 38:37Speaker 1: know there's a stud there. This thing is just like
- 38:39Speaker 1: a magnet kind of thing. He's moving against it and
- 38:42Speaker 1: he's like, stop, stop, stop. And it's stuck? Yeah.
- 38:46Speaker 8: Did he have the one that had the lasers on
- 38:47Speaker 8: it too?
- 38:49Speaker 1: No, this is like a real basic one. And I'm like,
- 38:51Speaker 1: how does that work? How does it stick on? There's
- 38:55Speaker 1: nothing magnetic about the stud. What is it that's making
- 38:58Speaker 1: it stick? like to wear the stud. If you put
- 39:03Speaker 1: it in that space between the two studs, it won't
- 39:06Speaker 1: stay there. You let it go, it'll drop to the ground.
- 39:08Speaker 1: Is it something to do with nails in the stud
- 39:10Speaker 1: or something? I don't think so. I don't think so.
- 39:12Speaker 1: I don't know. See, that's what I don't know. I
- 39:14Speaker 1: need somebody who actually works for a living to tell
- 39:16Speaker 1: me on the text.
- 39:17Speaker 7: And those things that Sammy's talking about, I don't know
- 39:21Speaker 7: if it's called a molly bolt or a butterfly or whatever.
- 39:23Speaker 7: The thing that you stick into the wall before you.
- 39:25Speaker 7: I have never once in my life successfully done it
- 39:28Speaker 7: without destroying yes.
- 39:31Speaker 8: They suck I'm obsessed with stud finders too I have
- 39:34Speaker 8: three of them I'll give you one.
- 39:35Speaker 9: Sammy yeah I just used them yesterday.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Oh okay see this is one of those you get
- 39:38Speaker 1: the explanation you go okay we were on to something
- 39:41Speaker 1: so it sticks to the drywall screws like the heads
- 39:45Speaker 1: oh because you know And because that's all up and
- 39:48Speaker 1: down like where the stud is. So it is metal, yeah.
- 39:52Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 39:52Speaker 6: Do that screw noise again.
- 39:54Speaker 1: That was really good.
- 39:55Speaker 5: I was going to say, that's good.
- 39:56Speaker 1: That's pretty good?
- 39:57Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 39:58Speaker 1: That was hot.
- 39:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:59Speaker 1: All right, well.
- 40:00Speaker 11: I'm moist. Manly.
- 40:01Speaker 5: Woody, what do you not know how to do?
- 40:03Speaker 1: I told you, poker and drive a stick. That's right. Yeah,
- 40:06Speaker 1: we started this segment so long ago. We are all
- 40:10Speaker 1: years older. This went way too long. Sammy's holding up
- 40:12Speaker 1: her sign.
- 40:13Speaker 2: Yep.
- 40:16Speaker 5: The Woody Show.
- 40:19Speaker 1: We're going to play the DUIQ this hour. It's a
- 40:26Speaker 1: Friday tradition.
- 40:27Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 40:27Speaker 1: So DUIQ is coming up. Phones are open right now.
- 40:32Speaker 2: 877-44-WOODY.
- 40:32Speaker 1: You can text us over to 22987. I thought this
- 40:38Speaker 1: is just really good advice. We like to pass along
- 40:40Speaker 1: good advice when we hear it. Um, and who wouldn't
- 40:44Speaker 1: love to get business advice and you can say what
- 40:46Speaker 1: you want about the guy, but, uh, Willie Nelson. Oh, okay.
- 40:49Speaker 1: I mean, dude, he, he's got, he's been all right.
- 40:52Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 40:53Speaker 1: He, he's like the country version of Snoop Dogg. He's
- 40:56Speaker 1: just got his fingers in everything. Yeah. Right. Exactly. So
- 41:01Speaker 1: wouldn't you love to get business advice from Willie Nelson
- 41:05Speaker 1: and this guy? No, I'm not sure who this guy is.
- 41:07Speaker 1: His name is another country guy. Jamie Johnson.
- 41:10Speaker 11: Oh yeah.
- 41:10Speaker 1: Love him. You know him?
- 41:12Speaker 5: Yeah, he sings a song in color.
- 41:13Speaker 1: It's so good. Everybody knows that. Let's see if I
- 41:16Speaker 1: can find any. Jamie Johnson. What's his name again? Oh,
- 41:18Speaker 1: he's an old guy.
- 41:18Speaker 8: In color.
- 41:19Speaker 1: He looks old. He looks like a hermit. Oh, yeah.
- 41:23Speaker 1: Believe it or not, that song is in our system.
- 41:26Speaker 1: That's weird.
- 41:26Speaker 5: Yeah, that was song of the year when it came out.
- 41:28Speaker 3: So good.
- 41:28Speaker 1: He has like a massive beard.
- 41:30Speaker 6: Rick Rubin vibes.
- 41:31Speaker 1: Yeah, totally. I like Rick Rubin a lot. Like every
- 41:34Speaker 1: time I see a clip of Rick Rubin talking about something.
- 41:38Speaker 6: Like dishing out advice.
- 41:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it's so good. And he's got a cool voice.
- 41:42Speaker 11: Yeah, he does.
- 41:43Speaker 1: Which I never really paid much attention to. But yeah,
- 41:45Speaker 1: he does. This is Jamie Johnson. If it looks like
- 41:50Speaker 1: we were scared to death Like a couple of kids just.
- 41:55Speaker 14: Trying to save each other Yeah, I love this song.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Oh, so is that big of a song? Yes!
- 42:00Speaker 13: When this song came out, it was song of the
- 42:02Speaker 13: year for like every country.
- 42:04Speaker 11: What year?
- 42:05Speaker 1: 08.
- 42:05Speaker 5: 08.
- 42:06Speaker 1: It was? Five times platinum. That's killing my body. Sorry.
- 42:13Speaker 6: It's not a Friday song, but God, it's such a
- 42:15Speaker 6: good song.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Yeah. Anyway, so he got some business advice from Willie
- 42:20Speaker 1: Nelson about like the suits at the record labels. I
- 42:23Speaker 1: think it's it's good advice for a lot of people.
- 42:25Speaker 14: It was Willie that told me one time not to
- 42:28Speaker 14: really dwell on the opinions of the suits in this business.
- 42:33Speaker 14: They're going to be around for a short time. But
- 42:37Speaker 14: he said down the line. They're all going to be
- 42:39Speaker 14: selling used cars or furniture or insurance or something else.
- 42:42Speaker 14: They're going to get into some other line of work.
- 42:45Speaker 14: And you're still going to have to get on your
- 42:47Speaker 14: bus and get to Ohio because you've got a show.
- 42:50Speaker 14: He said, you're the one that's going to be here
- 42:52Speaker 14: in the end. None of them are going to be around.
- 42:55Speaker 4: Wow.
- 42:56Speaker 1: Probably true. Accurate. I mean, think about the people who
- 42:59Speaker 1: are our bosses or have been. They come and go.
- 43:03Speaker 1: They do. He's right. They're salesmen. But also people in
- 43:06Speaker 1: our positions, they come and go too. I think the bigger.
- 43:09Speaker 1: That's also true. Yeah. Usually weekly. The bigger idea. And
- 43:12Speaker 1: we were just having this conversation off the air because
- 43:14Speaker 1: it's a really, it's a really strange time out there
- 43:17Speaker 1: right now, just in general. I mean, in a lot
- 43:19Speaker 1: of industries, right? So many. But especially in an industry
- 43:23Speaker 1: like this one, it's a big, we're at an inflection
- 43:26Speaker 1: point from like a business standpoint about like how the
- 43:28Speaker 1: business is done and how the business is monetized and
- 43:30Speaker 1: all that kind of stuff, right? That's a business term. Well,
- 43:33Speaker 1: it's true. It's like it's the old way that's been
- 43:36Speaker 1: done forever since, you know, Marconi or whatever. And then
- 43:40Speaker 1: and then now on the digital side and, you know,
- 43:42Speaker 1: podcast and on demand, you know, the same way that
- 43:46Speaker 1: television changed so much. Right. The way we get our
- 43:49Speaker 1: news has changed so much so that we're in that
- 43:51Speaker 1: kind of middle ground right now. And that creates uncertainty.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Right.
- 43:54Speaker 1: And so. Um, there's been a lot of changes, a
- 43:56Speaker 1: lot of weird stuff going on in the industry. There
- 43:59Speaker 1: was just a story, um, you know, a week or
- 44:01Speaker 1: so ago about a morning guy who I know who
- 44:05Speaker 1: he just redid his deal. Like the end of last year, November,
- 44:08Speaker 1: the co-host on his show just got a new contract
- 44:13Speaker 1: three weeks ago. And then two weeks later, they got
- 44:17Speaker 1: rid of the entire show. Okay. Yeah. And I don't
- 44:21Speaker 1: know exactly. There's nothing that happened because my first thing
- 44:24Speaker 1: is like, oh, maybe there's something that happened behind the scenes.
- 44:26Speaker 1: We don't know. No, it turns out nothing like that.
- 44:29Speaker 1: It was just a cost-saving thing. And they moved on
- 44:34Speaker 1: and did something else that just cost them less money.
- 44:37Speaker 1: It's a weird time. Like, well, why would you renew
- 44:40Speaker 1: this person? Why would you give this person, this girl
- 44:44Speaker 1: on the show, why would you give her a new deal?
- 44:46Speaker 1: And then two weeks later... They sent her a bottle
- 44:49Speaker 1: of champagne. Congratulations. Oh, my God.
- 44:51Speaker 6: That's cold as ice.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:53Speaker 1: So it's, you know, whatever happened, you can't stop it.
- 44:56Speaker 1: You can't control it. I used to involve myself in
- 45:01Speaker 1: areas that I didn't need to be involved in. And
- 45:03Speaker 1: I realized that I don't have any control in this area.
- 45:06Speaker 1: So therefore, I'm going to stop worrying about it. It's tough. Yeah. Yeah.
- 45:09Speaker 1: Control what you can control. Everything else, forget about it.
- 45:12Speaker 1: And you'll figure it out. If something comes down. Like
- 45:15Speaker 1: worried about if someone's going to cheat on you, if
- 45:18Speaker 1: someone's going to cheat on you, if you're going to
- 45:20Speaker 1: lose your job or what, like try to be as
- 45:23Speaker 1: prepared as you can. Like if you know there's something
- 45:25Speaker 1: going on with your company or in your industry or whatever,
- 45:27Speaker 1: be as prepared as you can to network and maybe
- 45:30Speaker 1: have like an idea of maybe what else would be
- 45:32Speaker 1: out there. In the meantime, get your house in order
- 45:34Speaker 1: as best you can, but the sun will still come up.
- 45:37Speaker 1: I've been fired a number of times. I'll most likely
- 45:40Speaker 1: get fired again. Who knows? It's such a weird time.
- 45:41Speaker 1: You know, this show cost the company a lot of money.
- 45:44Speaker 1: You know, there are not a lot of shows that
- 45:46Speaker 1: have this many people working on them and, you know, whatever.
- 45:49Speaker 1: So things could change. Tonight. And for whatever reason.
- 45:54Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 45:55Speaker 1: Who knows? But guess what? The company is still going
- 45:57Speaker 1: to be the company. The radio station will still be
- 46:00Speaker 1: here or whatever. And then we will still wake up
- 46:03Speaker 1: the next day and have to go and do something.
- 46:06Speaker 1: The times that I've been fired, you figure it out.
- 46:08Speaker 1: So I'm sitting there worried about what these guys and
- 46:10Speaker 1: their opinions all the time. Just do the best job
- 46:13Speaker 1: you can because if it works, and that's what the
- 46:16Speaker 1: all-in speech was years ago. Yeah, many years ago. When
- 46:19Speaker 1: we first started here at this radio station 12 years ago,
- 46:22Speaker 1: it was a big thing about everybody had an opinion.
- 46:24Speaker 1: There was a thousand cooks in the kitchen. And I
- 46:27Speaker 1: got the weirdest lectures from these guys. They drew pictures.
- 46:31Speaker 1: I kid you not. They drew pictures of a roadway
- 46:34Speaker 1: on a big whiteboard. And they go, all right, well,
- 46:38Speaker 1: so here is kind of the middle ground of where
- 46:39Speaker 1: the content should be. And then, you know, every once
- 46:42Speaker 1: in a while, yeah, you can kind of veer off
- 46:44Speaker 1: to the right, you know, but you don't want to
- 46:46Speaker 1: ride along the shoulder. I'm like, what are we talking about?
- 46:48Speaker 1: They had a visual for that.
- 46:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 46:51Speaker 1: But then this person was completely contradicting what this other
- 46:54Speaker 1: person had told me. He was another muckety muck and
- 46:57Speaker 1: nobody was happy. Everybody here was frustrated. It was so annoying.
- 47:00Speaker 1: It was so bad that I decided that on my
- 47:04Speaker 1: birthday that year that for my birthday, my birthday present myself,
- 47:06Speaker 1: I was going to quit. I can't take this. This
- 47:09Speaker 1: is not what I came here for. This is not
- 47:10Speaker 1: what I signed up for. Somebody, long story short, talked
- 47:13Speaker 1: me out of it the night before and told me,
- 47:16Speaker 1: forget them. Kind of this advice. Ignore the suits. This
- 47:19Speaker 1: guy's name was Dennis. He's a great guy. He's like,
- 47:22Speaker 1: Dennis is the man. Saved the show. Really did. I
- 47:26Speaker 1: give him all the credit. He goes, F them. Don't even, don't,
- 47:30Speaker 1: just do your thing. And I go, you know what?
- 47:31Speaker 1: You're right. And so that's when I came in the
- 47:33Speaker 1: next day and I said on the air, I said, hey,
- 47:35Speaker 1: I know all the mucky mucks are going to hear this.
- 47:38Speaker 1: And that's fine. But from this point forward, we're going
- 47:40Speaker 1: to do this show exactly the way that we think
- 47:42Speaker 1: it should be done. Whatever makes us happy and makes
- 47:45Speaker 1: us have fun that we think the listeners are going
- 47:46Speaker 1: to be into. Whoever's listening because they like the show.
- 47:49Speaker 1: That's who this show is for. It's not for the suits.
- 47:51Speaker 1: It's not for, you know, whatever. At any point in time,
- 47:55Speaker 1: if that becomes not okay with you, feel free to
- 47:58Speaker 1: let me go. I was going to quit today anyway.
- 48:01Speaker 1: But guess what? That's it. I'm all in. All my
- 48:03Speaker 1: chips are on the table. This is it. I'm telling you,
- 48:05Speaker 1: I got nothing else. There's nothing to hide. I'm all in. Greg,
- 48:09Speaker 1: we went around the room.
- 48:10Speaker 4: All in.
- 48:10Speaker 1: And that's where the whole all in thing started with listeners.
- 48:13Speaker 5: Right.
- 48:14Speaker 1: And when it works, they all take credit for it.
- 48:17Speaker 11: Of course.
- 48:18Speaker 1: They do. Oh, we knew the whole time. Yeah. No,
- 48:20Speaker 1: you didn't. No, you're in the background. That's why I
- 48:22Speaker 1: wanted to quit because you wouldn't shut up and just
- 48:24Speaker 1: let us be. You were just constantly up my ass
- 48:27Speaker 1: about all these different things.
- 48:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 48:29Speaker 1: And so when it and if it doesn't work, they're
- 48:31Speaker 1: going to fire you anyway. Right. Yeah. So don't sweat
- 48:34Speaker 1: it too much. Do your best work. No, they won't.
- 48:36Speaker 1: Your family. Oh, yeah. Do your best work. Do your
- 48:39Speaker 1: best thing. And life will move on. Like the sun
- 48:43Speaker 1: will come up if you let it. Some people just
- 48:45Speaker 1: like to wallow in the dark and, you know, just
- 48:48Speaker 1: kind of die. Because it feels that way. It feels
- 48:51Speaker 1: that way. At the moment.
- 48:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 48:52Speaker 1: But, you know, there's something else out there. Maybe something
- 48:55Speaker 1: you're not even aware of.
- 48:56Speaker 2: True.
- 48:56Speaker 9: And I know how much you love quotes. Have you
- 48:58Speaker 9: heard the quote that worrying is nothing more than worshiping
- 49:01Speaker 9: the problem?
- 49:02Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. There's that. I've seen that. And then I've
- 49:05Speaker 1: seen like, you know, what you worry about. you know, whatever.
- 49:10Speaker 1: And then, you know, what actually happens? Like you worry
- 49:12Speaker 1: about so much more. Yeah. You worry about so much
- 49:15Speaker 1: more that will never happen. You spend so much time.
- 49:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:17Speaker 1: So as weird as things are, it's, it's, it's. good advice. Like,
- 49:21Speaker 1: you know, like you want to be respectful. You want
- 49:23Speaker 1: to be a team player. You want to be whatever.
- 49:25Speaker 1: But when it comes down to it, you got to
- 49:26Speaker 1: do what you think is the best thing for you
- 49:28Speaker 1: and for the job and to accomplish whatever it is
- 49:31Speaker 1: you need to accomplish. In our case, it's listeners and
- 49:34Speaker 1: getting ratings. So ratings can turn into revenue and blah, blah,
- 49:36Speaker 1: blah down the line. And if that's the main concern,
- 49:40Speaker 1: but if you're worried about entertaining the person in the
- 49:42Speaker 1: office down the hallway and the listeners are going, what
- 49:44Speaker 1: the hell is this? Well, are you still going to
- 49:47Speaker 1: be around? You're probably going to lose your job because
- 49:49Speaker 1: you followed, you know, trying to make that person happy
- 49:51Speaker 1: as opposed to the people you need to make happy,
- 49:53Speaker 1: which are in this case, the listeners.
- 49:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 49:55Speaker 1: So there you go. I thought it was good advice.
- 49:57Speaker 1: Just wanted to share that. And now we know about
- 49:59Speaker 1: Jamie Johnson.
- 50:00Speaker 11: What's up?
- 50:01Speaker 1: Jamie Johnson now. Yeah, Jamie Johnson.
- 50:03Speaker 5: Go listen to In Color.
- 50:04Speaker 1: It's a great song. I mean, he's no Stephen Wilson Jr.,
- 50:06Speaker 1: but he's all right. He's okay. Yeah, that's the birth
- 50:09Speaker 1: of All In. That's exactly right. All In. That's exactly
- 50:12Speaker 1: where it came from. People are on the text now.
- 50:14Speaker 1: And damn, I really needed this pep talk. Well, it's true.
- 50:17Speaker 1: It's easy to get really lost in the whole paranoia.
- 50:19Speaker 1: It is. Of whatever craziness and the chaos that goes on.
- 50:23Speaker 1: It suffocates you. All right, we'll take the break, then
- 50:25Speaker 1: we'll come back. DYQ is next.
- 50:31Speaker 2: 877-44-WOODY.
- 50:31Speaker 1: Looking for a contestant to play today's Dumbass Contest. Today's
- 50:36Speaker 1: Dumbass Contest is the DUIQ. DUIQ. CBass is playing the
- 50:43Speaker 1: way the game works. Everybody, please.
- 50:45Speaker 2: I'd find someone who's nice and drunk and ask them
- 50:47Speaker 2: just the simplest, most obvious trivia questions. But that's the game,
- 50:51Speaker 2: is can the drunk person answer these obvious questions that you,
- 50:54Speaker 2: listening sober, know the answer to easily? You can guess
- 50:57Speaker 2: whether they know twice out of three times.
- 50:58Speaker 1: You win. That's right. And we go to the phones. Sammy,
- 51:03Speaker 1: who do we have? We have Matthew. Matthew. What's good, Matthew? Hey,
- 51:09Speaker 1: what's up, Woody Show? Hey. All right, so you're going
- 51:11Speaker 1: to play the DUIQ. Now, before we get to those
- 51:12Speaker 1: questions that count toward you winning a prize or not,
- 51:15Speaker 1: we're going to get to know this drunk person a
- 51:16Speaker 1: little bit better, see how with it or not with
- 51:18Speaker 1: it they are. And who do we have here, Seabass?
- 51:20Speaker 1: This is Max.
- 51:21Speaker 2: He's out drinking beer with his friends and family.
- 51:24Speaker 1: And Max is a Woody Show listener, as I think.
- 51:27Speaker 1: You'll be able to discern. All right. Max, right? I
- 51:30Speaker 1: got to say, suck it, Woody. Suck it, Woody. Suck it, baby.
- 51:34Speaker 1: You suck it, sir. Thank you, Max. Let's go, baby.
- 51:37Speaker 1: At the beer fest, what happened, Max? Oh, we had
- 51:40Speaker 1: a lot of adult beverages for the kids. Adult beverages.
- 51:44Speaker 11: Adult beverages. For the kids.
- 51:46Speaker 1: Oh, well, yeah, I'm a parent, so you know. How
- 51:49Speaker 1: many samples would you say you had at the beer fest?
- 51:51Speaker 2: A lot.
- 51:52Speaker 1: No number. I can't even recall. We had too many.
- 51:55Speaker 1: Too many. Too many. All right. Well, that is Max.
- 52:00Speaker 1: We're also going to guess whether Menace and Sammy will
- 52:03Speaker 1: know the answers to these questions. They are both stone
- 52:06Speaker 1: cold sober. They're not drunk. Although Sammy's been on a
- 52:09Speaker 1: lot of cold medication.
- 52:10Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 52:11Speaker 1: So that makes you not know. Wouldn't it be weird
- 52:13Speaker 1: if it had the opposite effect?
- 52:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:15Speaker 1: You'd become a genius.
- 52:16Speaker 7: Well, they need redemption from last week. I think last
- 52:18Speaker 7: week was triple laws.
- 52:20Speaker 1: Triple law. Yeah. Six law. I think the week before
- 52:23Speaker 1: they were real bad as well. Triple L.
- 52:24Speaker 8: I don't know what's going on here.
- 52:25Speaker 1: All right. So Matthew, are you ready for question number
- 52:27Speaker 1: one here?
- 52:29Speaker 4: Let's do it.
- 52:29Speaker 1: All right. Question number one. DUIQ.
- 52:32Speaker 11: Where on your body is your uvula?
- 52:36Speaker 1: Where on your body is your uvula?
- 52:39Speaker 2: Well, I guess I should say on or in. I
- 52:40Speaker 2: guess technically it could be either upon or within.
- 52:44Speaker 1: I can take a guess.
- 52:48Speaker 6: You know where it is.
- 52:49Speaker 1: I don't. Why do you say that when I go?
- 52:51Speaker 1: I don't. You do. I feel like you do. I don't.
- 52:54Speaker 1: You got to believe. Write down your guess then. I'll
- 52:57Speaker 1: write down my guess.
- 52:57Speaker 6: I feel like you're going to stumble into it.
- 52:59Speaker 1: Hashtag believe all woodies. Believe in all woodies.
- 53:03Speaker 2: Okay.
- 53:03Speaker 6: Well, while you write, I'm going to say.
- 53:04Speaker 1: I'm willing to admit when I don't know. Some of
- 53:06Speaker 1: you guys say, Oh yeah.
- 53:07Speaker 11: Okay.
- 53:08Speaker 6: I'm writing it down.
- 53:09Speaker 8: I'm writing my answer down.
- 53:13Speaker 1: Not everybody has access to a computer right now. Why
- 53:15Speaker 1: do smart people sound like such dopes and what he's
- 53:17Speaker 1: brought up?
- 53:17Speaker 6: I think Sammy does know it.
- 53:19Speaker 1: Me too.
- 53:21Speaker 6: Max and menace do not.
- 53:22Speaker 4: Oh, babe.
- 53:23Speaker 1: I second that. Yes to Sammy only.
- 53:25Speaker 4: All right.
- 53:27Speaker 1: Um, Yeah. I'll say triple no. Triple no. I'm going
- 53:33Speaker 1: to go triple no on this one. What do you think, Menace?
- 53:35Speaker 1: Do you think he's going to get it?
- 53:36Speaker 2: No. No. Sammy? Nope.
- 53:37Speaker 1: All right. What do you say, Matthew, on Max, yes
- 53:40Speaker 1: or no?
- 53:41Speaker 2: He should have said in the body, but I'll say no.
- 53:44Speaker 4: He won't get it. No.
- 53:45Speaker 1: Won't get it.
- 53:46Speaker 4: All right.
- 53:46Speaker 1: Question number one, DUIQ.
- 53:49Speaker 11: Where on your body is your uvula?
- 53:51Speaker 1: Menace. Arm. Sammy.
- 53:53Speaker 2: Throat.
- 53:54Speaker 1: I wrote throat.
- 53:55Speaker 6: I told you to stumble into it. I also wrote throat.
- 53:58Speaker 1: He didn't stumble.
- 53:59Speaker 11: He knew.
- 53:59Speaker 6: He said he didn't know.
- 54:01Speaker 1: I took a guess. Thank you. It's a pretty specific guess.
- 54:04Speaker 1: Very specific guess. No, I mean, yeah, in your throat region.
- 54:07Speaker 1: But like, what is the uvula?
- 54:09Speaker 11: The dangly.
- 54:09Speaker 8: The hangy ball.
- 54:10Speaker 11: Oh, it is?
- 54:11Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh, the punching bag.
- 54:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:13Speaker 1: It's so weird in the past. Like what cartoons use it.
- 54:15Speaker 7: Like three times in my life, I've woken up and
- 54:19Speaker 7: I can barely, like, I feel like I'm choking and
- 54:20Speaker 7: my uvula is all like swollen.
- 54:23Speaker 1: It's gross. Well, it's disgusting. It's part of, yeah, certain
- 54:27Speaker 1: throat infections. Yeah. It's awful. I mean, that was a
- 54:30Speaker 1: total luck in too. Yeah, the dangly thing. It's not
- 54:31Speaker 1: total luck. What is it in your throat? Couldn't have
- 54:34Speaker 1: told you that. But that's pretty damn specific. Yeah, but
- 54:37Speaker 1: I do. A win is a win. Yeah, take it. Look,
- 54:39Speaker 1: I'll take the win. You didn't say arm.
- 54:41Speaker 6: I told you you'd stumble into it.
- 54:42Speaker 1: All right, question number one, DUIQ.
- 54:46Speaker 11: Where on your body is your uvula?
- 54:49Speaker 7: I don't have one, so that would probably be in
- 54:51Speaker 7: a female's body in the lower part.
- 54:53Speaker 1: You can find it, though, right, bro? Yeah, for sure. Yeah,
- 54:56Speaker 1: so he's thinking vulva.
- 54:58Speaker 6: I thought he was going to say, like, tonsils.
- 55:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 55:00Speaker 1: All right, well, Matthew, congratulations. You are on the board.
- 55:03Speaker 1: You got your first point here in this round of
- 55:05Speaker 1: the DUIQ.
- 55:08Speaker 4: Nice. Nice.
- 55:09Speaker 1: Question number two. Six divided by five is what percentage?
- 55:14Speaker 1: Triple note.
- 55:14Speaker 2: I'm going to keep going back to this style of question.
- 55:17Speaker 1: I'll do it. If memory serves, didn't Sammy really lock
- 55:21Speaker 1: in how to do that? Say it again.
- 55:24Speaker 6: Say it again.
- 55:25Speaker 1: She finally figured the trick. Six divided by five is
- 55:28Speaker 1: what percentage? God, I hate these questions. Or percentage. 100%
- 55:33Speaker 1: chance Manus gets it wrong. 100%. Don't give him the answer, Greg.
- 55:39Speaker 1: Greg's being sneaky. He's passing you the answers. Getting. Six
- 55:42Speaker 1: divided by five is what percentage? Right. Percentage. Don't know.
- 55:48Speaker 1: Take a best guess. Write it down. Six divided by five.
- 55:51Speaker 1: I hate these questions. All right. I will say that
- 55:56Speaker 1: Max won't get it. Triple no.
- 55:59Speaker 6: Yeah, trips no.
- 56:00Speaker 1: I'm looking over there. Both their heads are down. Triple no. Yeah.
- 56:02Speaker 6: A lot of feverish, furious writing.
- 56:05Speaker 1: Yeah. Long division, multiplication, calculus. All right. Trigonometry. All right.
- 56:12Speaker 1: I wrote it down. You wrote it down?
- 56:13Speaker 10: Yep.
- 56:13Speaker 1: All right. Do you think Max is going to get it? No. No. Sammy? No. No.
- 56:18Speaker 4: All right.
- 56:18Speaker 1: Matthew, what do you think?
- 56:20Speaker 2: He has kids, so he might help him with their homework,
- 56:23Speaker 2: but I'm going to say no.
- 56:24Speaker 3: No. All right.
- 56:25Speaker 1: Question number two for the DUIQ. Six divided by five
- 56:28Speaker 1: is what percentage? Six divided by five is what percentage, Sammy?
- 56:33Speaker 10: 120%.
- 56:33Speaker 1: Okay.
- 56:34Speaker 2: Oh.
- 56:34Speaker 5: 120%.
- 56:34Speaker 2: Menace?
- 56:34Speaker 5: 10%.
- 56:34Speaker 1: 10%. I want to see the math on this one.
- 56:36Speaker 1: Or hear it. So do we. Oh, for me?
- 56:38Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 56:39Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 56:40Speaker 2: Well.
- 56:50Speaker 1: What's five divided by five? Five divided by five? One
- 56:54Speaker 1: is one. One. Or 100%, yeah. And then, so if
- 56:57Speaker 1: you have one more, you get rid of the six.
- 57:01Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 57:02Speaker 7: So then you add a zero because you have one more.
- 57:04Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 57:04Speaker 6: Okay, so, yeah.
- 57:05Speaker 1: There you go. So then you get 10. Yeah. Because
- 57:07Speaker 1: one is 10. That's it. Okay, I'm following. Yo, what's
- 57:11Speaker 1: five divided by five? See, when it comes to stuff
- 57:13Speaker 1: like this, I know people are dumbfounded that, you know,
- 57:17Speaker 1: I can't even, like, begin right but I feel the
- 57:21Speaker 1: same way about people who can't figure the tip yeah
- 57:24Speaker 1: that's the world's easiest this is closely related to that.
- 57:27Speaker 7: Like luckily tipping is not like 17.4%.
- 57:31Speaker 1: Divided by yeah so what's the easiest way Sammy did
- 57:35Speaker 1: you have a good method again of how i did
- 57:37Speaker 1: it by the way you got it.
- 57:39Speaker 13: Right yay okay so i did i basically did long
- 57:43Speaker 13: division right so i did the five and then i
- 57:45Speaker 13: did the little right division sign and put six in
- 57:48Speaker 13: there and then five essentially goes into 60 right so
- 57:51Speaker 13: you put the decimal point at the top and so
- 57:54Speaker 13: five goes into 60 12 times that's yeah so point
- 57:57Speaker 13: one two you would add the zero.
- 57:59Speaker 1: Though because that's Because you add 10.
- 58:00Speaker 8: Percentage-wide with the decibel, it's 120%.
- 58:02Speaker 3: Wow.
- 58:03Speaker 1: I am so impressed. That's actually the really long way
- 58:07Speaker 1: to do it, but it is correct. Yeah. That's awesome. See,
- 58:10Speaker 1: when I run it out like that, that's how you
- 58:11Speaker 1: did it, right? Yeah.
- 58:13Speaker 6: You know they don't even teach that anymore. They don't
- 58:14Speaker 6: teach long-distance anymore.
- 58:15Speaker 1: No, no, because now it's common core. Yeah.
- 58:17Speaker 10: Right.
- 58:17Speaker 1: So I'd have to draw it like little circles. How
- 58:19Speaker 1: many sticks and circles are there?
- 58:20Speaker 11: Exactly.
- 58:21Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. All right. So the answer we're looking for. Yeah,
- 58:24Speaker 1: I like that too. We'll just have like, you know,
- 58:27Speaker 1: one more. Like five divided by five is one. Throw
- 58:30Speaker 1: that out. I can't even, I can't Google it.
- 58:32Speaker 8: You're like that guy that was in the wheelchair on
- 58:34Speaker 8: FC Nyland.
- 58:35Speaker 1: Right. All right. Question number two. Eric Midgett. D-U-I-Q. Six
- 58:41Speaker 1: divided by five is what percentage? That looks like a 90%.
- 58:44Speaker 1: I'm going to go with 90.
- 58:46Speaker 11: What in your life is 90%? My debt.
- 58:49Speaker 1: At this point in time. All right.
- 58:53Speaker 4: Matthew, congratulations.
- 58:56Speaker 1: You are the winner here on the DUIQ. Nice. I mean,
- 59:01Speaker 1: right next to you, the answer is C. It's probably
- 59:03Speaker 1: got to be one of the more easy games. You
- 59:04Speaker 1: say no to everything. Pretty much. Most likely it works
- 59:08Speaker 1: out that way. But Matthew, congratulations. Thank you so much
- 59:11Speaker 1: for listening to The Woody Show. Have yourself a great weekend, okay?
- 59:14Speaker 1: You too. Appreciate you guys. I love you. Bye.
- 59:16Speaker 4: Bye.
- 59:18Speaker 1: There's Matthew, everybody, who did not need that third question,
- 59:21Speaker 1: but we're going to do it just for fun. Question
- 59:23Speaker 1: number three, do you like Q? Where can you find
- 59:25Speaker 1: Faneuil Hall and Beacon Hill? Let's triple know that. Triple no?
- 59:30Speaker 1: Let me hear it one more time.
- 59:31Speaker 2: Where can you find Faneuil Hall and Beacon Hill? Now,
- 59:35Speaker 2: I didn't say on your body, in your body, but
- 59:38Speaker 2: that's an.
- 59:39Speaker 1: Option, of course. I'm assuming these are places. Could be.
- 59:42Speaker 1: Could be either real or fictional. Or could be parts
- 59:45Speaker 1: of things.
- 59:45Speaker 9: This is random.
- 59:49Speaker 1: This is so triple no. Is the hall thing, is
- 59:51Speaker 1: that like Seton Hall? I mean, that's another... thing that
- 59:55Speaker 1: has Hall in it, that's for sure. Michael C.
- 59:59Speaker 4: Hall?
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: Seton Hall is a college. Is that a person, place,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: or thing? Could be any of those things. I said
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: it could be real, could be fictional. Where can you
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: find Faneuil Hall and Beacon Hill? Beacon Hill sounds like...
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: I'll say it's not random. That's for damn sure. Your cool-o?
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: This one's driving me crazy because when I hear it,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: I'll know it. Does it sound familiar to you? It
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: totally does, but I don't know the answer. I have
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: a guess.
- 1:00:30Speaker 7: And when I hear it, I'll probably kick myself.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: Someone else will kick you. I'll triple no.
- 1:00:35Speaker 9: I say yes to Sammy and no to Menace and Max.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: Sammy's smiling very much.
- 1:00:40Speaker 6: She's smiling a lot.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Really? Very smiley Sammy. I never look. Let me look
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: at Sammy. Sammy, are you smiling?
- 1:00:44Speaker 6: It's got to be something with the hallmark.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: She's even smiling with her eyes. Let me guess. Give
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: it away with your eyes. Is it like... At Disneyland
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: or something? Okay. No, that I would know. That's a possibility. Well,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: it could be like Disneyland Shanghai or something. You said
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: yes to Sammy? Yes to Sammy. Okay, yes to Sammy
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: and then double no. Sammy Menace, do you think that
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: Max gets it? No. No. All right, question number three, DYQ.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: Where can you find Faneuil Hall and Beacon Hill? Menace. Disneyland.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: Which one? Hong Kong. Hong Kong. Sammy.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: Boston.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: Boston.
- 1:01:16Speaker 12: They're very, yeah, very famous places in Boston.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: And she's from Springfield and she knows that. Yeah.
- 1:01:21Speaker 5: I am from Charlton.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 1:01:24Speaker 6: That's something that everyone should know.
- 1:01:26Speaker 5: Faneuil Hall is where everybody goes. I mean, it's the
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: touristy place that.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: Everyone goes to. Is it on a college campus there?
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: No.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: No, it's not. Just in the city. It sounds very campus-y.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: It does. It sounds very Cambridge. It'd be like saying
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: City Center for Philly, maybe. Maybe you're thinking of Hall
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: of Presidents. Yeah. The Disneyland thing.
- 1:01:47Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: And I threw it in there, of course, to hopefully
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: trip up Sammy, but she showed up. To trip me up.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: She's a real Massachusettsian. Massachusettsian. Massachusettsian.
- 1:01:55Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like near Boston Common and everything.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: Question number three, DUIQ. Where can you find Faneuil Hall
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: and Beacon Hill? Let's just go with England at this
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: point in time.
- 1:02:04Speaker 11: England's a good answer.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: What would you expect to find in England? People with
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: f * * * ed up teeth. I mean, you know,
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: New England. Right, yeah.
- 1:02:11Speaker 6: That's pretty much too far off.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Beacon Hill. Wow, so Menace, Triple Nose, and Sammy all correct.
- 1:02:16Speaker 6: Yes, I got them all right today.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: Nice job. I told you it's cold medication. That's how
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: you play the DUIQ, everybody. Quick break. More Woody Show next.
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: Hang on.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: The Woody Show. Back in a bit.
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: This is the Woody Show.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: Dumb lawsuit in the news. 33-year-old druggie. In Buffalo, he's
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: suing Amazon, claiming that they contributed to his drug problem. Now,
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: the lawsuit says that Amazon sold whippets on their site
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: for years, knowing that the nitrous oxide canisters weren't for
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: culinary use. Okay. And it's true. So the man bought
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: them off Amazon for three years and now suffers from
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: neurological damage, memory loss, and tremors. Thing is, he may
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: actually have a case, according to the article, like other
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: people who, you know, bought the nitrous oxide. They left
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: reviews in the listing saying that they got a rush
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: of dopamine, a euphoric relief from it. The guy says
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: that he doesn't care if he gets any money. He
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: just doesn't want anyone else to go through what he did.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: And he wants Amazon held accountable and to have the
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: book thrown at them.
- 1:03:26Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:03:28Speaker 8: I mean, I never support these types of lawsuits.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: Me neither.
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: Ever.
- 1:03:33Speaker 8: Were they selling like Galaxy Gas or something?
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: Well, that's the thing.
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: When Galaxy Gas became big with the teens, they were
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: getting it. I looked it up and I found like
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: ways to get it on Amazon.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: Really?
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: They shut that down pretty quick. Well, because nobody knew.
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: I mean, it wasn't, I shouldn't say nobody knew. It
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: wasn't common knowledge.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:03:50Speaker 7: Couldn't you go after anybody who sells paraphernalia or whatever?
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: I'll remember, you know, before there was the big legalization thing. Like,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: there were still places you can go to get, you know, pipes, bowls.
- 1:04:01Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: You know, things like that. It was for tobacco. That
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: was always the job. Oh, it was for tobacco? Yeah.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: And then you went there and you bought it knowing
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: what you were going to use it for. Like, you know. Oh,
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: you were supposed to use it. The thing is, you
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: knew that you weren't getting these for culinary purposes.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: Oh.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: Yeah. That was for other things? That was for other things.
- 1:04:19Speaker 5: Oh.
- 1:04:19Speaker 11: You knew that.
- 1:04:20Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: All right. Dad jokes. Yeah. If you got a good
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: dad joke, hit us up. 877-44-WOODY. That's 877-44-WOODY. Gina Grad,
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: you said you had just throw examples out there for people.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: Maybe this is your first day on Earth.
- 1:04:41Speaker 9: OK, I have these beef jerkies that I eat and
- 1:04:45Speaker 9: they all have a joke inside.
- 1:04:46Speaker 6: And this is my favorite one. I've been saving this one.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: Oh, so that's not the joke? No. You really do
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: buy beef jerky that has fortunes in it? Yeah, jokes inside.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: Like Snapple beef jerky? Yeah, because they're.
- 1:04:56Speaker 6: Kid-sized, quote-unquote, because they're mini, so they put a joke
- 1:04:58Speaker 6: in them. This one, I've been saving. I'm sitting on
- 1:05:00Speaker 6: this one.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: It better be good.
- 1:05:01Speaker 6: I think it is.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: Why did the bicycle fall over? Why did the bicycle
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: fall over?
- 1:05:07Speaker 6: Because it was too tired.
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: Oh!
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: That's... That's really good. I like that you love it.
- 1:05:15Speaker 8: I do love it.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: How do you call a kebab to be quiet?
- 1:05:19Speaker 6: How?
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: Shush kebab. Get it. That's on the text. What's brown
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: and sounds like a bell? What is brown and sounds
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: like a bell? Oh, I have something. All right, what
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: do you got?
- 1:05:38Speaker 8: For all the inventions of the past hundred years, the
- 1:05:41Speaker 8: dry erase board has to be the most remarkable.
- 1:05:45Speaker 11: Oh, yeah.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: I get it, because... Remarkable. Remarkable.
- 1:05:49Speaker 6: Mark it again.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: Yeah, very deliberate. Why do golfers always bring an extra
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: pair of pants? This is coming in on the text
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: over to 22987.
- 1:05:57Speaker 4: Why?
- 1:05:57Speaker 6: Oh, let me guess. They have holes in there?
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: In case they get a hole in one. Oh, get it.
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: Oh!
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: In one of them. Oh, this one's not nice.
- 1:06:08Speaker 4: Uh-oh.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: What do Pink Floyd and Princess Diana have in common?
- 1:06:11Speaker 11: Uh-oh.
- 1:06:12Speaker 14: What?
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: Their greatest hit was The Wall.
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: Cool.
- 1:06:15Speaker 8: Wow.
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: Damn.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: It's a G. Is it too soon? Yeah. Way too soon.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Probably not.
- 1:06:23Speaker 8: Dude, has this happened to you? My hotel was trying
- 1:06:26Speaker 8: to charge me $ 10 for air conditioning.
- 1:06:28Speaker 10: Oh.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: That's ridiculous. Air conditioning. That's crazy.
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: It's crazy.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: That's not cool. I'll get it. Let's go to... Dude,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: I got it. You got it? Yeah. Let's say hi
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: to Russ. What up, Russ? Hey, today's the day that
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: we celebrate the man who discovered the number zero. Oh, yeah?
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: Thanks for nothing. I get it. I get it. That's
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: a good one. Russ, thank you for the call. Appreciate you.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: Everybody say hi to Vinny. What's up, Vinny? Hey, Vinny.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: What do you call a gay dinosaur? I think I
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: know this one, but I'm going to let you... Okay.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: Say it. A megasaur ass. A megasaur ass. What do
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: you call a lesbian dinosaur?
- 1:07:10Speaker 6: Oh, this is a good one.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: Do you know the answer to that one, Vincent? What
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: do you call a lesbian dinosaur? A licholata foot. Licholata foot.
- 1:07:18Speaker 11: That's right.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: See?
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: Nuts.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: All right. Let's see. Let's go to Jasmine. Hey, what's up, Jasmine?
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: Dad joke. What do you got for us?
- 1:07:28Speaker 5: Hey, okay.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: So what is Mario and Luigi's.
- 1:07:32Speaker 3: Favorite pants made out of?
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: What are Mario and Luigi's favorite pants made out of? What? What?
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: Denim, denim, denim.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: Denim, denim, denim. You can take that one home.
- 1:07:45Speaker 6: I will take that home.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: You got a bunch of Mario fans at your house.
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: I sure do.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: All right. Thank you very much, Jasmine. 877-44-WOODY if you
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: want to call in with your dad joke. Man, this
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: furniture store keeps calling me.
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: Really?
- 1:07:55Speaker 5: Why?
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: All I wanted was one nightstand. Oh. What do you
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: call a police officer who refuses to get out of bed?
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: What?
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: An undercover cop. Hey, you guys.
- 1:08:10Speaker 6: I feel really bad about boiling water.
- 1:08:12Speaker 5: Oh, yeah?
- 1:08:13Speaker 9: Sometimes I just want to be like, R.I.P.
- 1:08:15Speaker 6: Boiling water. You will be missed.
- 1:08:18Speaker 8: Hey, do you know how cereal pays the bills?
- 1:08:24Speaker 5: No, I don't.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: With checks.
- 1:08:26Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: Too many thinkers? Okay, I'll go. How does NASA organize
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: a party?
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: How?
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: They plan it.
- 1:08:35Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:08:38Speaker 6: What do you call a pile of cats?
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: A pile of cats?
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: A good start.
- 1:08:44Speaker 6: Oh, no.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Get it. No.
- 1:08:46Speaker 6: A meownton.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: A meownton. It's horrible. What did the sea say to
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: the sand? What?
- 1:08:53Speaker 11: Nothing.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: It just waved. Oh, yeah. Why did the picture go
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: to jail? Why? Because it was framed.
- 1:09:02Speaker 9: What does corn say when it gets a compliment?
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: What does corn say when it gets a compliment? What? Oh, shucks.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: Get it. Oh, dude.
- 1:09:15Speaker 8: I ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: You did? Yeah. I'll let you know.
- 1:09:20Speaker 6: Oh, which comes first?
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: What do you call an argument between two vegans? What's that? What?
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: I don't know, but it's not a beef. See, dad
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: jokes are good times, guys.
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: Right?
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: Yeah, like if a seagull flies over the sea, what
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: flies over the bay? Uh-huh.
- 1:09:38Speaker 6: Oh, a bagel?
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: A bagel. Dude, I hate it when people say age
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: is only a number. It's like, dude, it's a word.
- 1:09:51Speaker 9: What do you call a pig that practices karate?
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: What's that?
- 1:09:57Speaker 6: A pork chop.
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: Mattis, I'm going to let you find a really good
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: one to take us home with. I'm going to give
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: you one more here off the text over to 22987.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: Where do you take someone who has been injured in
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: a peekaboo accident?
- 1:10:11Speaker 5: Oh.
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: What? The ICU.
- 1:10:13Speaker 8: Oh, right.
- 1:10:18Speaker 7: Woody, my new thesaurus is really terrible. And it's also terrible.
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: That was a good thinker.
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: All right, men, let's bring us home.
- 1:10:30Speaker 14: All right.
- 1:10:31Speaker 8: Not to brag, but I made six figures last year.
- 1:10:34Speaker 4: Rip.
- 1:10:35Speaker 8: I was also named the worst.
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: Employee at the toy factory. Another good one. I don't
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: know where you come up with them.
- 1:10:46Speaker 8: I was the worst employee at the toy factory.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: I was the worst employee at the toy factory. All right, well,
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: there's your dad jokes, everyone. There's something. Right? Dude, nailed it.
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: Got it.
- 1:11:05Speaker 4: The Woody Show.
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: So we're talking about Chipotle CEO. I'll tell you, we
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: seem to hear more from fast food and fast casual
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: CEOs these days. The McDonald's guy made the news a
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: lot recently. And then this guy, his name is Scott Boatwright.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: He's Chipotle CEO. And they were hearing complaints about people,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: about portion sizes, getting a lot of heat from customers
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: who claim that the servings have become smaller and inconsistent.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: All at the same time, the prices keep going up.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: And so he was asked about it, and this is
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: what he said.
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: It has always been our brand ethos, and it is
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: still to this day.
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: We serve big, beautiful bowls and burritos. No questions asked.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: So you're not skipping people. We are not. If you
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: want more, you should ask for a little more. I
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: promise you.
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: There's never a team member on that line is going
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: to say no to you.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: We will continue to put heaping spoonfuls of food in.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: Bowls and burritos. I tell my team all the time,
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: put as much food in that bowl and burrito as
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: you possibly can.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: I want the consumer to tell you it's too big. Right.
- 1:12:10Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: So they said that they have retrained staff to make
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: the portions, you know, uniform, right? And then... People, the
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: customers just have to communicate. Oh, I would like a
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: little bit more. Now, the question was, will they do that?
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: I'm sure they'll do it. Things like rice. Yeah. Things. Yeah. Lettuce.
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: They're not going to do that with the guac. They're
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: not going to do that with the protein without charging
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: you more because you can't get a double portion. Yeah.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: You could do that.
- 1:12:36Speaker 4: I've done that.
- 1:12:36Speaker 11: Double meat.
- 1:12:37Speaker 6: Charge you double.
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: But how much will they give you if you just
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: order the standard burrito or the bowl? So we sent
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: Morgan out to a Chipotle to find out. And so
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: you walk in.
- 1:12:46Speaker 5: Yep, stood in line. It was pretty packed, and I
- 1:12:49Speaker 5: went down the line to get my bowl.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: All right, so she got a burrito bowl to test
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: out what the CEO said.
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: Hi.
- 1:12:55Speaker 5: Can I get a bowl, please, for to-go? Can I
- 1:13:00Speaker 5: do white rice, but can I get light rice?
- 1:13:04Speaker 10: Yeah, that's perfect. Yeah, I'll do the black beans. I'll
- 1:13:09Speaker 10: do light beans as well. Can I do steak, please?
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: Can I get extra sour cream.
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: And cheese, please?
- 1:13:17Speaker 10: Can I get some more steak?
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: Thanks.
- 1:13:21Speaker 10: Can I get a little more steak? Oh, does it
- 1:13:25Speaker 10: cost more? Oh, you know Scott Boatwright? Do you know
- 1:13:30Speaker 10: who Scott Boatwright is?
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:13:34Speaker 5: I said his name and it was pretty busy in
- 1:13:36Speaker 5: there yesterday. All the employees turned around. So they are
- 1:13:39Speaker 5: aware of who that guy is.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: So, question, because, you know, obviously audio here only. How
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: much steak did they give you? Everybody knows what the
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: Chipotle spoons look like, right? Was it a heaping spoon
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: of the steak already?
- 1:13:54Speaker 5: The first scoop was a heaping. Not like a lot,
- 1:13:56Speaker 5: a lot, but a good amount.
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: A full spoon.
- 1:13:59Speaker 5: The second scoop was a lot smaller. Maybe like a
- 1:14:03Speaker 5: quarter full of a spoon. And then Like I said,
- 1:14:06Speaker 5: I asked the third time and he was like, well,
- 1:14:08Speaker 5: you can pay more.
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: Okay. Well, so hold on. So the standard before he
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: was like ready to go continue going down the line,
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: he had put one and a quarter in there or
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: he put the one on there. You asked for more.
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: He gave you the quarter.
- 1:14:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:14:19Speaker 5: Wait, then I asked for more again. And he's like, well,
- 1:14:21Speaker 5: do you want to pay more?
- 1:14:22Speaker 9: I'm no math wizard, but he should have given you
- 1:14:25Speaker 9: a half because if you're going to get another half,
- 1:14:27Speaker 9: that would be another portion.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: You know what I mean? I think you're right.
- 1:14:29Speaker 5: And I have, I'll send y'all a video of the
- 1:14:31Speaker 5: bowl at the end, but it's, It wasn't a lot
- 1:14:33Speaker 5: of meat. I'll just say that.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: Was it, as the CEO said, piled as high as
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: they can go? Did you think that's too much? No.
- 1:14:41Speaker 5: And by the way, I said light rice, light beans,
- 1:14:44Speaker 5: so that I would have.
- 1:14:45Speaker 11: Room in that bowl, right?
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: So there was no excuse. Do you know Scott Boatwright?
- 1:14:49Speaker 10: Do you know Scott Boatwright? Do you know who Scott
- 1:14:52Speaker 10: Boatwright is?
- 1:14:54Speaker 5: He said that if you, like, asked for more add-ons,
- 1:14:57Speaker 5: he'd give you more.
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: What's up?
- 1:15:00Speaker 10: Oh, so there's a limit to how much extra? Okay.
- 1:15:06Speaker 10: Can I get the veggies as well?
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:15:08Speaker 5: Can I get the pico de gallo?
- 1:15:13Speaker 10: Yeah. And then can I get corn? Can I get
- 1:15:18Speaker 10: extra corn?
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: Yeah, thanks.
- 1:15:20Speaker 10: And then I'll do lettuce and the guacamole, please.
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: Extra block?
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: No, ma'am.
- 1:15:25Speaker 10: Just that.
- 1:15:26Speaker 5: And then, so, yeah, because I saw the video from
- 1:15:28Speaker 5: the CEO, Scott, and he said, like, oh, if you
- 1:15:31Speaker 5: want more add-ons, just ask for more add-ons, and we'll
- 1:15:34Speaker 5: give you extra. Is that a thing that y'all do,
- 1:15:37Speaker 5: or is there a limit to, like, the extras?
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 1:15:41Speaker 9: It's going to be $.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: 60, 000. That's why I came here.
- 1:15:44Speaker 5: And you can barely hear what she says. She goes,
- 1:15:46Speaker 5: I don't know how other people do it.
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: How about your boss?
- 1:15:49Speaker 5: And I'm like, wait, you're standing right next to him.
- 1:15:53Speaker 5: So yeah, I will say it was very underwhelming. And
- 1:15:56Speaker 5: I do think they are skimping on them. on the
- 1:15:58Speaker 5: toppings and everything. The corn didn't even get my extra corn.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: What?
- 1:16:01Speaker 5: So it sounds like.
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: And you asked for extra corn?
- 1:16:04Speaker 5: Yes, I love the corn.
- 1:16:05Speaker 9: Let's just say that you're getting a cup, just to
- 1:16:08Speaker 9: keep it simple. Let's say you're getting a cup of
- 1:16:10Speaker 9: whatever you're asking for.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: The protein.
- 1:16:11Speaker 9: Yeah, so it sounds like... For them now, a serving
- 1:16:14Speaker 9: size is a third of a cup. And if you
- 1:16:15Speaker 9: want it more, they'll give you the standard.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: Top it off.
- 1:16:18Speaker 5: And then if you want a little more than that,
- 1:16:20Speaker 5: you're going to pay more.
- 1:16:22Speaker 6: It's a sleight of hand.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: I've noticed when I ask, and I think they do
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: this maybe with the DoorDash orders because you're not there
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: to see it. So I'll go on there and I'll
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: say extra chicken. I want chicken, white rice, black beans, chicken,
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: but I want extra chicken, like a double. We'll see
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: about that. And then you get it and you're like,
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: This is pretty much what a standard one looks like
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: if I'm in the store.
- 1:16:46Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: But here on this DoorDash order, they charge me for
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: double the protein. It looks like the standard portion.
- 1:16:52Speaker 5: Yeah, I definitely think they're skimping you if you're not there.
- 1:16:54Speaker 5: But right there in front of their faces, and I
- 1:16:56Speaker 5: had three people help me down the line. And all
- 1:16:59Speaker 5: of them were like, yeah, no.
- 1:17:01Speaker 8: So they legit knew who Scott was.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: They all turned around.
- 1:17:04Speaker 5: I didn't say yes or anything, but literally, even the
- 1:17:06Speaker 5: people chopping up the chicken behind them, they turned around like, what?
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: Someone said, I decided to go to Chipotle yesterday, asked
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: for a little more chicken, and they charged me for
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: double chicken. And I didn't realize it because I didn't
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: have my glasses on. So I took it back, and
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: they refunded it. I got my money back, and I
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: just threw it in the trash. Oh, my God.
- 1:17:25Speaker 10: At least eat it.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: That's dumb. Yeah, just eat it.
- 1:17:28Speaker 5: That's the thing. He was ready to charge me more,
- 1:17:30Speaker 5: and I'm like, no.
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: So did you get charged for a regular bowl?
- 1:17:34Speaker 5: It was $ 16. And I got guacamole, so that's an
- 1:17:37Speaker 5: extra charge, right? But $ 16 for the size bowl that
- 1:17:40Speaker 5: I got?
- 1:17:41Speaker 6: It's pretty crazy.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: I'm not arguing the price. I'm just arguing this whole
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: idea that he's going and saying, hey, if you want more,
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: just tell him. We want it to be too big.
- 1:17:51Speaker 9: This is not too big. I'm looking at the video
- 1:17:52Speaker 9: right now.
- 1:17:53Speaker 5: I'm a size queen. I need way bigger than that.
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 1:17:55Speaker 8: Yeah, but also you did ask, just to be fair,
- 1:17:58Speaker 8: you did ask for light rice, light beans.
- 1:18:00Speaker 5: Well, yeah, but I thought that was the point that
- 1:18:02Speaker 5: there would be more room so that he couldn't say like, oh,
- 1:18:04Speaker 5: there's no room in here.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: And then you ask for more steak.
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: Well, we can do it, but we're going to charge you.
- 1:18:09Speaker 3: I tell my team all the time.
- 1:18:11Speaker 11: No, you don't.
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: Put as much food in that bowl and burrito as
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: you possibly can. I want the consumer to tell you
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: it's too big.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: Well, that didn't happen. We just try as an experiment.
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: We tried it out. You said I was hopeful.
- 1:18:21Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: And that's Morgan's experience. Now, this is only one person's experience.
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: We took you at one location with one particular employee.
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: I like Chipotle. I like going there. It's a common
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: stop because it's one thing that kids like, my wife
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: and I both like.
- 1:18:36Speaker 5: It was delicious.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: I haven't had it in a while.
- 1:18:38Speaker 7: Those words are going to bite them in the ass.
- 1:18:40Speaker 7: Put as much as you possibly can. They could have
- 1:18:43Speaker 7: put tons more.
- 1:18:44Speaker 9: Somebody texted, why did Morgan back down when they said, no,
- 1:18:48Speaker 9: you should have said, are you calling?
- 1:18:50Speaker 6: Your CEO a liar?
- 1:18:51Speaker 5: In these moments, same with more gadgets and stuff. I
- 1:18:55Speaker 5: really do. Like, I get shy in the moment.
- 1:18:57Speaker 6: And you still have to get through the rest of
- 1:18:58Speaker 6: the line.
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: Also, by the way, I mean, the employees are just
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: doing their job.
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: You know, they're they're working at Chipotle. They're dishing out bowls.
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: They don't want to deal with their manager. They don't
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: want to deal with the manager. They don't want to
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: fight anybody, you know, either. They're not looking for any
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: kind of confrontation. You know.
- 1:19:14Speaker 5: Yeah, I think when I name-dropped the CEO, they got
- 1:19:16Speaker 5: a little nervous, like, oh, God, do we have a
- 1:19:17Speaker 5: Karen in here?
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: Yeah, or is she a secret shopper? Is she ramping up? Yeah,
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: is she from corporate?
- 1:19:22Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: All right, well, thank you, Morgan. Appreciate you doing that.
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: It was delicious. Wouldn't it kill you to bring Chipotle
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: in for everybody?
- 1:19:28Speaker 5: It wasn't enough serving.
- 1:19:29Speaker 10: I ate it all last night.
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: All right, more Woody Shows next. Hang on. The Woody
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: Show returns right after these messages.
- 1:19:35Speaker 4: Woody Show.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: All right, welcome back. Menace, do you have the number? Yeah.
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: Put the warm line in here. Yes, absolutely. The bad
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: phone line. I do.
- 1:19:46Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: I'm going to have you go do something. All right.
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: Just went and hit the potty during that break. Yeah.
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: Greg was in there. Yes. All right. So somebody went
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: in and don't. Greg, you already know who this is. Okay.
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: Somebody was in the stall. Okay. Yes, I know. Door open,
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: taking a leak.
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: This person is notorious for peeing. in one of the
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: stalls with the seat down. Oh, my God.
- 1:20:13Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: I'm curious if the seat is wet. Okay. I'll tell him.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: Because it just happened. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Hold on.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: Let's see if I can get Menace.
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: Oh, God.
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: Dude, doesn't lift the seat and then doesn't even go bother.
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: There he is.
- 1:20:30Speaker 6: This is an adult?
- 1:20:31Speaker 8: Yes.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: All right. Menace is going down to the. Going through.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: All right. It's the one, it's the far stall, it's
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: the handicapped stall. Right, the big giant one.
- 1:20:42Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: Oh, there's only two. Yeah, can you hear us? Yeah,
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: I'm going deep into the building, so I might. Can
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: you hear me? Yeah, I got you. See if there's
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: pee on the ceiling. All right. It's probably still warm.
- 1:20:55Speaker 4: Yeah, okay.
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: There is two droplets in a pube. i'm not lying
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: i have video i can get photo evidence i don't
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: think i'm not gonna do anything with it i just
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: i don't understand like if you go into a stall
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: use your foot as a dude you're standing to pee
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: yeah like why you don't lift the seat to pee
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: i've never heard of that before and then and then
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: uh because the times i've taken a dump here at
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: work like i'll go into one of those stalls and
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: almost every time i've got to like take toilet paper
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: to dry the seat because someone's peed on it. Yeah.
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: I knew it. I knew it.
- 1:21:37Speaker 11: I knew it.
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: He does this. This guy, he does this all the time.
- 1:21:41Speaker 6: And he leaves the door open so everybody knows.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: A lot of guys will do that. If you're just
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: going in there to take a leak, you don't close
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: the door behind you to stand and take a leak. Oh,
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: I never close the door. No. You only close the door.
- 1:21:50Speaker 6: You guys have a whole different society in there.
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: Well, because your pants aren't coming. It's different. It's different.
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: It's the same way you stand at the urinal. There's
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: no doors there. You're taking a leak.
- 1:21:59Speaker 10: Right.
- 1:21:59Speaker 6: Right.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: Which is so awkward.
- 1:22:01Speaker 7: I was peeing next to this old man the other
- 1:22:03Speaker 7: day here at work and he was just breathing so
- 1:22:05Speaker 7: loudly through his nose.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: It was so awkward. Yeah. Dude.
- 1:22:10Speaker 9: But that's what I'm saying. The door is open so
- 1:22:11Speaker 9: everybody knows he pees with a seatbelt.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: But why go in the stall? Because I think Greg was...
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: I was already peeing. I'm not sure who went in first,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: whether it was him or Greg. Did he walk in afterwards? Okay,
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: so Greg walked in first. He's at the taller of
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: the two urinals.
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: All right. This other dude walks in. Sees Greg at
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: that urinal. Doesn't want to stand next to Greg. Maybe
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: he thinks, oh, cool, I'll give Greg some room. Sure.
- 1:22:36Speaker 7: So he walks into that stall. No, actually, I take
- 1:22:37Speaker 7: that back. I've been in there with this person before,
- 1:22:40Speaker 7: and he always goes to that stall.
- 1:22:42Speaker 6: Oh, that's his thing.
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: Yeah. It's always that stall.
- 1:22:46Speaker 6: He's marking his territory.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: Well, there you go. At least put the seat up, man. Yeah,
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: just kick it.
- 1:22:52Speaker 6: Is someone going to have a conversation with him?
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: Or, or, or, fine. Go crazy. Pee all over the seat.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: But be a decent person and wipe the seat down
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: when you're done. Like, dry it. Yeah. Grab the paper
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: towels and dry it off.
- 1:23:07Speaker 7: If you sprinkle when you tinkle, be a sweetie and
- 1:23:10Speaker 7: wipe the seat.
- 1:23:11Speaker 11: Thank you.
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: Exactly right.
- 1:23:14Speaker 8: But I like the extra zest on it with the pube.
- 1:23:17Speaker 8: So what do you know?
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: We'll be back in a bit.
