Latest / Fandomonium! A Fandom Comedy Game Show / Fandomonium - The Lord of the Rings LIVE - 2 Li'l Pippins vs Aragornasties
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: You are listening to a lily Pad production.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Hello there, leap Frogs, and welcome to the final full
- 0:07Speaker 2: Pandemonium of twenty twenty five. What a year it has been.
- 0:13Speaker 2: This was our live show from November, our last live
- 0:15Speaker 2: show of twenty twenty five, and the theme was The
- 0:18Speaker 2: Lord of the Rings. So happy to revisit this fandom.
- 0:23Speaker 2: You all know how important this fandom is to Audra
- 0:25Speaker 2: and I. Yeah, this was a fantastic time. Thank you
- 0:29Speaker 2: so much to our wonderful guests Meghan Hyde and Josh Neil,
- 0:33Speaker 2: who joined Chris and Audra on the panel for this one.
- 0:37Speaker 2: It means so much to be supported by the talented
- 0:40Speaker 2: improvisers who make up this community. And yeah it was.
- 0:45Speaker 2: It was such an honor to have both of them
- 0:47Speaker 2: on stage with us. We love performing with them. There
- 0:51Speaker 2: is a quick production note before we get into this one.
- 0:55Speaker 2: We lost our audience microphone about thirty minutes into this recording,
- 1:00Speaker 2: So the first half hour of this episode sounds like
- 1:03Speaker 2: our usual live episodes, but after that we lose the
- 1:06Speaker 2: crowd mic and you can just hear the panel and
- 1:09Speaker 2: the occasional burst of loud laughter. I promised there were
- 1:12Speaker 2: little chuckles happening throughout that weren't the bursts of loud laughter.
- 1:16Speaker 2: That's what we go for at Pandemonium, we go for
- 1:21Speaker 2: little chuckles. We're a little chuckle kind of show. I
- 1:24Speaker 2: don't think anyone will mind me saying Round two was
- 1:28Speaker 2: a very audience participation heavy game, so the audience is
- 1:33Speaker 2: a little more muted, and producer Jason reading the scores
- 1:37Speaker 2: is a little more muted than would be ideal considering
- 1:40Speaker 2: all parties had microphones for that. This is the magic
- 1:44Speaker 2: of live local comedy. I wanted to apologize up top,
- 1:47Speaker 2: but also you get what you get. We're also learning
- 1:50Speaker 2: and growing here and from January's live shot onwards, we'll
- 1:54Speaker 2: be taking care of our own filming of these episodes
- 1:56Speaker 2: so we can make sure the crowd mic is fully there,
- 1:59Speaker 2: so you get the atmosphe not quite like you're there
- 2:02Speaker 2: in the room with us, but almost like the next
- 2:05Speaker 2: best thing. Well, actually the next best thing would be
- 2:07Speaker 2: the video Patreon dot com slash gate Leapers if you
- 2:11Speaker 2: want to check that out, But the third best thing,
- 2:14Speaker 2: it's still a great thing. We are so excited this
- 2:17Speaker 2: holiday season. On the gate Leapers podcast feed, we hope
- 2:20Speaker 2: you enjoyed the final Bonus round last week. We hope
- 2:23Speaker 2: you enjoyed the finale of press Play. Next week there's
- 2:26Speaker 2: a very special episode lined up for that, and we
- 2:30Speaker 2: have a Fandomonium Christmas special with just something a little
- 2:33Speaker 2: a little different, you know, something a little different, mostly
- 2:36Speaker 2: the same, but a little different. And of course stat
- 2:39Speaker 2: Leapers is coming up before we kick things off in
- 2:42Speaker 2: January with a brand new series of Fandomonium. So many
- 2:47Speaker 2: fandoms on tap for twenty twenty six, so many live shows,
- 2:51Speaker 2: so many huge announcements coming in the next year. So
- 2:55Speaker 2: thank you so much for listening, Thank you for supporting
- 2:57Speaker 2: this silly little podcast feed.
- 2:59Speaker 3: It means the world to us.
- 3:02Speaker 2: But for now, this week, the treat we have for
- 3:04Speaker 2: you is our Lord of the Rings live episode live
- 3:07Speaker 2: from the Peak Improv Theater in November of twenty twenty five.
- 3:11Speaker 2: It was an absolute hoot and you're about to hear it.
- 3:14Speaker 2: So thank you so much everyone. Thank you for listening
- 3:16Speaker 2: to this waffle up top. If you skipped it, well
- 3:19Speaker 2: you've then you skipped it, so you you won't be
- 3:22Speaker 2: hearing this bit. Here's the show. Hello and welcome to Pandemonium,
- 3:46Speaker 2: the pop culture game show that shines a spotlight onto
- 3:49Speaker 2: everyone's favorite fandoms. I'm your games master and dark lord
- 3:53Speaker 2: who managed to get planning permission for two towers Matt Watson.
- 3:58Speaker 3: But it games master.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Needs games, games need players, so please welcome first. She
- 4:03Speaker 2: is our evergreen panelist, a podcaster and comedian who works
- 4:06Speaker 2: in STEM, which today stands for She'd touch everything, Monahan, give.
- 4:11Speaker 3: It up for Auder Stevenson.
- 4:18Speaker 2: And she is an improviser, a singer and actor, a teacher,
- 4:22Speaker 2: a theater owner, and if you were here for the
- 4:24Speaker 2: earlier show a Mermaid. Tolkien genuinely got rid of Mermaids
- 4:28Speaker 2: after the first draft of being too tempting and provocative.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Speaking of go crazy for Megan High Yes, welcome as always, Audro,
- 4:41Speaker 2: Welcome back, Meghan.
- 4:42Speaker 3: How are you both doing.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I'm having a blast.
- 4:45Speaker 4: Lord of the Rings is one of my favorite things
- 4:48Speaker 4: on Earth, which is weird to say in front of
- 4:50Speaker 4: my husband.
- 4:52Speaker 3: It's fine, I'll lose to Tolkien.
- 4:54Speaker 1: That's fine, that's fine.
- 4:56Speaker 5: I'm doing fantastic. I couldn't be more excited to be here.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Yeah, you're doing great. You're dressed up for this my
- 5:01Speaker 2: thin Yes? Are you like a like a dirty hobbit?
- 5:07Speaker 3: Oh?
- 5:08Speaker 6: Oh oh what now there's no Hobbit. There's no hobbits.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Oh uh? Look uh? Lord of the Rings is the
- 5:16Speaker 2: is the theme for this?
- 5:17Speaker 7: Oh shit?
- 5:18Speaker 6: Lord?
- 5:20Speaker 3: No?
- 5:20Speaker 5: No, no, no, no, no, no no, you said no,
- 5:23Speaker 5: you said Lord of the Flies.
- 5:26Speaker 3: I think I said Lord. No, you said Lord.
- 5:29Speaker 5: It's right here. Hey, Megan, would you like to be
- 5:31Speaker 5: a guest on Phantemonium next month? The theme is Lord
- 5:33Speaker 5: at the Flies.
- 5:34Speaker 7: No, that's what it says.
- 5:36Speaker 5: And then I said, really, I didn't realize there was
- 5:38Speaker 5: much of a fandom for that, but i'd love to.
- 5:40Speaker 5: I haven't read it since high school?
- 5:42Speaker 6: Is that going to be a problem?
- 5:43Speaker 5: And you said not at all. You still have plenty
- 5:45Speaker 5: of time to watch wonder all of the movies, so
- 5:47Speaker 5: you if you choose, and I said, there's movies plural.
- 5:50Speaker 5: This conversation is making a lot more sense to me. Now, yes,
- 5:54Speaker 5: they made three, not counting the prequels. And then me,
- 5:57Speaker 5: there's prequels. The book I read was even that long.
- 6:00Speaker 5: I got through it in like one day, and then
- 6:02Speaker 5: you said, wow, you're a really fast reader. It took
- 6:04Speaker 5: me weeks and I thought, maybe he has dyslexia. But
- 6:06Speaker 5: I didn't want to say that.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Well, that's very kind. So there's been a little confusion
- 6:12Speaker 2: a little bit. Yeah, So this next question, this first
- 6:15Speaker 2: question I have for you, how big of a Load
- 6:17Speaker 2: of the Rings.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Fan are you?
- 6:19Speaker 6: I've seen the movies.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Okay, that works a while ago.
- 6:24Speaker 1: That's all we need.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Okay, Okay, Well I'm genuinely sorry, Megan, for.
- 6:28Speaker 6: I have so much Load of the Flies knowledge crammed
- 6:30Speaker 6: in my head.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Now, well, do you not just intersperse it throughout the evening?
- 6:33Speaker 1: I reckon, Okay, we'll learn something.
- 6:35Speaker 6: I brought props, props.
- 6:39Speaker 3: You brought Load of the Flies props. You got this couch,
- 6:46Speaker 3: You've committed.
- 6:47Speaker 4: Yeah, you brought in that bag and you wouldn't let
- 6:50Speaker 4: me see what was in it.
- 6:51Speaker 1: And now I know why.
- 6:53Speaker 6: There's another one. But I'm a little until later, until
- 6:55Speaker 6: the right moment, in that moment.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, spread the props out. Well, it's good to
- 6:59Speaker 2: know that we're getting it.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Test for how popular are a Lord of the Flies
- 7:01Speaker 3: episode of this podcast might be?
- 7:03Speaker 6: But I look like a dirty hobbit, is what you said.
- 7:06Speaker 3: I I was reaching for what Lord of the Rings
- 7:08Speaker 3: character you could possibly be?
- 7:09Speaker 6: Nonm just a boy who crashed onto an island, just.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Like in the books or tra what about yourself?
- 7:16Speaker 2: You said you love Lord of the Rings more than me,
- 7:18Speaker 2: and that's fine, But how big of a fan are you?
- 7:24Speaker 4: It's it's not a problem per se. If I'm still functioning,
- 7:29Speaker 4: it's not a problem. I watch them every year, I
- 7:33Speaker 4: read them every year. I have favorite like cuts of
- 7:38Speaker 4: the prequels, like the Hobbits.
- 7:40Speaker 1: There are cuts of them.
- 7:41Speaker 4: You don't have to watch all three of them in
- 7:43Speaker 4: their entirety, and you shouldn't.
- 7:47Speaker 1: But yeah, big fan, very much.
- 7:49Speaker 2: So okay, so you'll be able to help Megan out
- 7:52Speaker 2: despite the miscommunication.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Again, so sorry, Megan, you're.
- 7:55Speaker 6: Carrying this.
- 7:58Speaker 1: And I will.
- 8:00Speaker 3: We'll share the loan.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Yeah, there we go, and other references. But you can't
- 8:05Speaker 2: undertake this quest alone.
- 8:07Speaker 6: I didn't get it.
- 8:10Speaker 2: You'll need a friendly rivalry with a fellow fellowship.
- 8:13Speaker 3: So let's introduce them.
- 8:14Speaker 2: He is a musician and producer and longtime panelist of
- 8:17Speaker 2: this show who helps make it happen. He's also here
- 8:20Speaker 2: to make us all look like Hobbits via the magic
- 8:22Speaker 2: of cinematic perspective.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Make some noise for Chris Reagan. He's tall.
- 8:31Speaker 2: It's a high thing, Oh my god, and he is
- 8:37Speaker 2: an actor, improviser, Stickhorse, and Gnome. Tolkien genuinely got rid
- 8:41Speaker 2: of Gnomes after the first draft of being too tempting
- 8:44Speaker 2: and provocative, speaking of put your hands together for Josh, Neil,
- 8:58Speaker 2: Welcome as always, Chris, welcome for the first time. Josh,
- 9:01Speaker 2: how are you both doing good?
- 9:03Speaker 8: Man?
- 9:04Speaker 7: Doing good here in Colorado's Springs?
- 9:07Speaker 3: Goodness?
- 9:08Speaker 7: You guys are a fan of your own town.
- 9:09Speaker 9: Okay, I'm sorry, I'm trying to do.
- 9:12Speaker 1: The Okay, they recognize someone going for a cheap pop.
- 9:16Speaker 1: That's what they recognize.
- 9:18Speaker 7: I want the pop. Okay, Okay, but that's fine.
- 9:21Speaker 3: What about yourself, Josh?
- 9:23Speaker 7: You know nice?
- 9:26Speaker 2: Okay, so fingers crossed. I didn't have any text errors
- 9:29Speaker 2: with you guys. Are you a fan of Lord of
- 9:31Speaker 2: the Rings?
- 9:31Speaker 9: Josh, that's a good question in which I must respond
- 9:37Speaker 9: in the form of reading a bullet list from Google
- 9:40Speaker 9: Docs and brandishing my own version of sting. Whoa that
- 9:48Speaker 9: got inaudible?
- 9:49Speaker 4: Yes, you drew a knife in a room.
- 9:57Speaker 6: They still you don't.
- 10:02Speaker 7: That's a knife. This is a special Gandalf blade.
- 10:08Speaker 6: To be careful around the electronics.
- 10:11Speaker 10: I know.
- 10:12Speaker 7: I was told that this was a weapons safe environment.
- 10:15Speaker 6: Who told you.
- 10:16Speaker 3: That I have accidentally texted it the voice.
- 10:18Speaker 7: Yeah, it was a it was a weird text.
- 10:22Speaker 9: Lord of the Rings was my first fandom I think,
- 10:24Speaker 9: I mean around about the same time as the Star
- 10:26Speaker 9: Wars when those came out because old age, but for
- 10:32Speaker 9: sure fantasy really solidified my alignment for all RPGs thereafter
- 10:37Speaker 9: as lawful good. But to answer your question about being
- 10:41Speaker 9: a fan, you guys knew that I was a fan
- 10:43Speaker 9: already if you watch the credits long enough after Fellowship
- 10:47Speaker 9: of the Ring, because my name is in him that
- 10:51Speaker 9: I was a founding member of the One Ring Society.
- 10:55Speaker 9: I had the magazines back in two thousand while they
- 10:57Speaker 9: were shooting the movies, and then I went to the
- 10:59Speaker 9: first con.
- 11:01Speaker 3: So we've planted an original nut.
- 11:05Speaker 9: I was there Matthew three thousand years ago when they
- 11:09Speaker 9: made the movies, which and of course there's the books,
- 11:13Speaker 9: the novel the volumes.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Yes, the tomes. Yes, thank you so much, Josh Chrissy.
- 11:20Speaker 2: You a fan of Lord of the Rings.
- 11:22Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm a. I'm a I'm a huge fan.
- 11:24Speaker 3: I love them.
- 11:25Speaker 9: I've I have permanently scarred my entire left arm with
- 11:28Speaker 9: all Lord of the Rings bullshit.
- 11:30Speaker 3: So honestly.
- 11:34Speaker 7: Yeah, let's go for it.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Yeah. I love Lord of the Rings, reading.
- 11:38Speaker 9: The books and watching the movies and all the yeah,
- 11:41Speaker 9: all of the above. Sorry, I'm not an o G.
- 11:44Speaker 9: I'm so sorry. We will take you into our farthing.
- 11:47Speaker 9: I appreciate.
- 11:49Speaker 7: Go thinking.
- 11:51Speaker 3: Generations of fans coming together.
- 11:53Speaker 9: This is.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Okay, fantastic.
- 11:56Speaker 2: So we've maybe got a team that has a slight
- 11:57Speaker 2: advantage he having two Low the Rings fans, and then
- 12:02Speaker 2: on the other.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Side, o's gonna help.
- 12:05Speaker 4: I'm gonna do my best and that's all we can
- 12:07Speaker 4: do in this world against a great evil.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Okay, all right, well we've met our teams. Let's find
- 12:14Speaker 2: out what they're competing for. Producer Jason, could you hold
- 12:17Speaker 2: aloft the Mystery Star Prize? The box that is right there?
- 12:21Speaker 2: Can we get some oohs and rs? What could be
- 12:25Speaker 2: in there?
- 12:26Speaker 7: Is that made of mythrill?
- 12:28Speaker 3: It budget? Couldn't stretch?
- 12:30Speaker 5: Quick?
- 12:31Speaker 7: Get your knife trying to stab it.
- 12:32Speaker 3: See if it goes through. I'm gonna my knife.
- 12:39Speaker 2: It is the exact same metal. Yes, okay, teams, let's
- 12:44Speaker 2: set the scene. You're making the plans for your uncle's
- 12:47Speaker 2: one hundred and eleventh birthday. Wow, soon you'll be old
- 12:50Speaker 2: enough to run for presidents. But as you're making the
- 12:53Speaker 2: final preparations, a strange wizard with an English accent arrives
- 12:57Speaker 2: and demands you play a series of improv games and
- 12:59Speaker 2: trivia challenges in a lighthearted, semi competitive format. We're back
- 13:03Speaker 2: in the room, so I'd like each pair to come
- 13:06Speaker 2: up with a Lord of the Rings themed team name.
- 13:08Speaker 3: Please. Let's start with Udra and Meghan. Any ideas well?
- 13:11Speaker 5: I had a bunch of Lord of the Flies team
- 13:13Speaker 5: names that I came up with.
- 13:15Speaker 6: Do you want to hear the let's hear honestly please?
- 13:19Speaker 5: Two little Piggies, the Kanchi mamas.
- 13:25Speaker 7: That's good.
- 13:25Speaker 6: Simon says, you're going down.
- 13:28Speaker 5: Simon's one of the main characters the jack Offs, because
- 13:31Speaker 5: Jack is one of the other the perfect Prefects. This
- 13:35Speaker 5: really makes a lot more sense if you've read Lord
- 13:36Speaker 5: of the Flies, The Beasties or The Beastie Besties.
- 13:43Speaker 6: Do you have any you.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Have a couple? I had Gladra Hell's I thought that
- 13:50Speaker 1: was fun.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Lego lasses, but also in honor of your list, two
- 13:59Speaker 4: little Pippins.
- 14:00Speaker 5: Okay, okay, it's cute. It's it's a it's it's a
- 14:04Speaker 5: departure from your normal vibe that you go with.
- 14:09Speaker 4: Mine is typically quite sexual in the name. But I
- 14:15Speaker 4: do I like two little Pippins.
- 14:16Speaker 1: It's a unity of our two fandoms.
- 14:18Speaker 5: Okay, could we be should we be like two little
- 14:20Speaker 5: horny Pippins or you.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Don't have torn was implied.
- 14:26Speaker 6: Okay, let's just say it, not be like two little pippin.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Little well it's Tony now, all right, So we have
- 14:40Speaker 2: two little Pippins a fantastic name. Let's find out who
- 14:42Speaker 2: they'll be facing Chris Josh Any ideas, I got.
- 14:45Speaker 11: A handful, I gotta got a handful. I am a handful.
- 14:50Speaker 11: Oh my goodness, well wait, too much laughter and me
- 14:57Speaker 11: being sexy.
- 15:00Speaker 6: Because I know you.
- 15:01Speaker 9: Oh, I think I think the best one for for
- 15:04Speaker 9: this vibe that I wrote.
- 15:06Speaker 3: Was okay, okay.
- 15:11Speaker 9: I mean I have a handful of thorn oakenschlungs uh.
- 15:15Speaker 9: The fellow shippers we shipped.
- 15:18Speaker 7: The entire not all nine as a polycule.
- 15:22Speaker 9: Glorfandel's Horfandel's like Glarfandel's possessive Orphandel's plural.
- 15:29Speaker 7: Of course, obviously, I.
- 15:31Speaker 9: Just wanted to I just wanted to clarify and big,
- 15:36Speaker 9: deep dark hole you know what, I have a little
- 15:41Speaker 9: bit of a different vibe.
- 15:46Speaker 7: Helms peeps.
- 15:47Speaker 3: Oh that's good.
- 15:48Speaker 9: Uh man, we fine, Okay, if anyone knows the sill,
- 15:53Speaker 9: some of these might not go over your heads. Dose
- 15:57Speaker 9: Man's like man dose dose Man's no no sel fans
- 16:02Speaker 9: in hair in cannas, suckers in cannas. Gandal's name from
- 16:09Speaker 9: down south. The Argo nasty. That's like the nat balrog
- 16:17Speaker 9: bullies beat up some beat up some boll rods over here,
- 16:21Speaker 9: the segull smackers.
- 16:24Speaker 7: Slapping with a.
- 16:25Speaker 9: Fish, stinking maggoty bread winners. That's a long one and
- 16:32Speaker 9: they got a good laugh from the front row here.
- 16:35Speaker 7: Thank you, Sam wise guys. Oh uh pippen ain't easy.
- 16:43Speaker 9: Oh okay, maybe a little close to theirs.
- 16:48Speaker 7: You're in trouble.
- 16:51Speaker 3: That's an awful lot of.
- 16:54Speaker 9: Uh thurndingle berries. And my last one is me me
- 17:03Speaker 9: means it's like a change, because don't.
- 17:07Speaker 3: That is genuinely a good reference to those of you.
- 17:10Speaker 7: Like I'm partial to argonnastes.
- 17:14Speaker 9: I had a feeling that was a little more of
- 17:17Speaker 9: a cross of both themes.
- 17:19Speaker 3: H that's pretty okay, that's that's the arg nasties.
- 17:23Speaker 7: Yeah, I think so okay, is that what you are
- 17:26Speaker 7: you down with?
- 17:26Speaker 9: That? I can be done with the name. Yes, the
- 17:33Speaker 9: thing is a concept.
- 17:35Speaker 2: All right, So we've got too little Pippins versus argonnastes.
- 17:39Speaker 3: I love it, okay.
- 17:41Speaker 2: And if you're listening to this, and because there are
- 17:43Speaker 2: people at home, for God's sakes, if you're listening to
- 17:45Speaker 2: this and thinking, well, I had sex in college, so
- 17:47Speaker 2: I don't know anything about.
- 17:48Speaker 3: Lord of the Rings, get out, don't worry.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Order with a little segment we like to call passing knowledge,
- 17:55Speaker 2: give it up for Audra.
- 18:01Speaker 4: The Lord of the Rings is a high fantasy novel
- 18:03Speaker 4: trilogy written by J. R. R.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Tolkien, and I.
- 18:06Speaker 4: Can assure you after this show, I are are gonna
- 18:09Speaker 4: be token as well. The series was later adapted into
- 18:15Speaker 4: a film trilogy by Peter Jackson, which won four Golden Globes,
- 18:18Speaker 4: seventeen Oscars, and the Hearts.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Of Nerds in Perpetuity.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Yes.
- 18:23Speaker 1: The story follows a hobbit proto Baggins and his companions
- 18:27Speaker 1: as they embark on a journey to words.
- 18:30Speaker 3: Are hard Hard.
- 18:32Speaker 1: You won't, I know you won't.
- 18:41Speaker 4: They embark on a quest to destroy the One Ring
- 18:44Speaker 4: and thus save the world. Well, it's not like our world,
- 18:48Speaker 4: but it also very much is. It's a rich text. Okay,
- 18:51Speaker 4: you just have to read it. The series received some
- 18:55Speaker 4: criticism that there is very little female representation. However, with
- 18:59Speaker 4: a p of a beautiful ring that makes you subservient
- 19:03Speaker 4: to an evil man, lack of women is actually like
- 19:07Speaker 4: a little feminist. It's not, but you can make that argument.
- 19:11Speaker 4: It's the best one I have. The series has reborn wizards,
- 19:17Speaker 4: airs to exiled thrones, elves choosing mortality for love, and
- 19:21Speaker 4: the best of them all, a gardener who seems to
- 19:24Speaker 4: be the only person who can get anything done around WHOA. Now,
- 19:29Speaker 4: let's get off the road and get into pandemonium.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Yes, thank you, my precious, my love. Just before we
- 19:36Speaker 2: get to today's games, I've asked each player to bring
- 19:39Speaker 2: in amuse to inspire us all it's something that inspires
- 19:42Speaker 2: them or something they love from this particular fandom. Lord
- 19:45Speaker 2: of the Rings is inspiring to me because Tolkien makes
- 19:48Speaker 2: the British seem smarter and more whimsical.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Than we actually are. Chris will start with you.
- 19:54Speaker 2: What's inspiring you from the world of Lord of the
- 19:56Speaker 2: flaw Fuck wh Bold of the Rings?
- 20:02Speaker 9: My muse today is actually going to be the wonderful
- 20:05Speaker 9: country of New Zealand, our own, our own little Middle
- 20:10Speaker 9: Earth here on Earth.
- 20:11Speaker 7: Yeah, whatever I was.
- 20:14Speaker 9: I was fortunate enough to go a couple of years
- 20:16Speaker 9: ago and it was amazing, Uh, wonderful place. Went to Hobitan,
- 20:20Speaker 9: did the whole thing. You ever go, Highly recommend doing
- 20:22Speaker 9: the dinner tour because you get to hang out.
- 20:26Speaker 3: I drink so many beers so fast.
- 20:29Speaker 9: I was so excited, and I was just I just
- 20:32Speaker 9: ate so much food so quickly, and my wife was
- 20:35Speaker 9: just like, please, you have to breathe. It's not going anywhere.
- 20:39Speaker 9: We're here for a little while. So it was just wonderful.
- 20:42Speaker 9: It was a really wonderful place. And uh, I'm definitely gonna.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Go back again.
- 20:47Speaker 7: So i don't care about the rest of the world.
- 20:49Speaker 7: I'll just go back to New zal That's great.
- 20:52Speaker 2: That's a great thing to be inspired by travel. And yeah,
- 20:55Speaker 2: you went to Lord of the Rings. You said you
- 20:57Speaker 2: hung out with everyone. Does that mean you hung out
- 20:59Speaker 2: with with some hobbits that arre in hobits in Unfortunately, No,
- 21:03Speaker 2: it's just the other tour people.
- 21:05Speaker 7: Oh, the regular human the other nerds.
- 21:07Speaker 3: Yeah, ok, nerds a fellowship, Yeah, yeah, exactly, I love it.
- 21:11Speaker 3: That's very inspiring, Chris, thank you very much.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Let's move on over to your arga Nasty's teammates, Josh,
- 21:17Speaker 2: what is inspiring you from the Lord of the Rings.
- 21:20Speaker 7: I'm going to name two people for my one muse,
- 21:23Speaker 7: if that's okay, that's allowed.
- 21:26Speaker 9: One my dad is the one who gave me the books.
- 21:30Speaker 9: He actually was in the hospital for a while before
- 21:33Speaker 9: I was born. That's when he read the books. And
- 21:35Speaker 9: then by the time I was eleven or twelve, he
- 21:37Speaker 9: gave me those same books that he had read from
- 21:40Speaker 9: Oh and I read them so many times, so many
- 21:42Speaker 9: pages fell out.
- 21:43Speaker 7: It was a ruined mess.
- 21:45Speaker 9: But in college, my roommate in college, who is one
- 21:49Speaker 9: of my best friends, was on my level with Lord
- 21:53Speaker 9: of the Rings, and he was the one that went
- 21:55Speaker 9: with me to that first con. He addressed his golum
- 21:57Speaker 9: and he had this prosthetic missing finger, all going on
- 22:00Speaker 9: with blood and he's ran and he's a really good
- 22:03Speaker 9: artist and drew an awesome picture of the Witch King
- 22:08Speaker 9: on his Pelby's standing over a win.
- 22:11Speaker 7: This painting that I have at home is just amazing.
- 22:14Speaker 2: So that's a lovely, genuinely hot felt shout out to
- 22:18Speaker 2: two people like, imagine if I said that wasn't inspiring.
- 22:22Speaker 2: That's really good, Josh, thank you for sharing both of
- 22:24Speaker 2: those things. Very inspiring. I'm feeling inspired by this side
- 22:28Speaker 2: of the stage. But let's see if I'm inspired by
- 22:31Speaker 2: what are you called again? Two Little Pippins, Megan, what's
- 22:38Speaker 2: inspiring you from the Lord of the Rings?
- 22:40Speaker 6: Oh, I've got something. I actually have something for this one.
- 22:43Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 22:43Speaker 5: Yeah. So I teach improv, and I used to teach
- 22:50Speaker 5: younger people improv. Now it's just adults these days. But
- 22:53Speaker 5: I had a student who was very scared of taking
- 22:56Speaker 5: the improv class, and she when I when I taught
- 23:00Speaker 5: the younger kids, middle school, high school kids improv, I
- 23:03Speaker 5: let them choose a stage name and I just called
- 23:05Speaker 5: them by that stage name all semester long.
- 23:08Speaker 6: And I'd never learned their real names.
- 23:13Speaker 5: Some of them, I guess, but but yeah, this one
- 23:15Speaker 5: student couldn't tell you her real name. But she chose
- 23:17Speaker 5: the name Aowin to be her stage name because she
- 23:21Speaker 5: was afraid of taking an improv class. And Aowen was
- 23:25Speaker 5: the character who stabbed the witch in the face, and
- 23:27Speaker 5: the witch was like a symbol of fear and so
- 23:30Speaker 5: she was chose that as a way of stabbing fear
- 23:32Speaker 5: in the face.
- 23:33Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Yeah, that is incredible these a I'm genuinely inspired. Normally
- 23:39Speaker 2: I fake it. This is genuinely inspiring stuff. Thank you
- 23:44Speaker 2: so much.
- 23:44Speaker 6: She rubbed that class too, she was amazing.
- 23:46Speaker 3: Nice. Thanks thanks for sharing that.
- 23:48Speaker 2: I think we'll all take some of that power on
- 23:50Speaker 2: stage here tonight and be fearless. Yes, and a nice
- 23:53Speaker 2: little shout out for you teaching improvmprov dot com get involved,
- 23:57Speaker 2: h please do and oudra what's inspiring you from the
- 24:01Speaker 2: world of Lord.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Of the Ranks.
- 24:02Speaker 4: Mine is equally inspiring to everyone else that you've heard that.
- 24:07Speaker 1: My muse is Tom Bombadil.
- 24:12Speaker 4: If you do not know, Tom Bombadil is not in
- 24:14Speaker 4: the movies, He is irrelevant to the plot.
- 24:16Speaker 1: He is so irrelevant.
- 24:18Speaker 4: But Tom Bombadil has great fashion sense. He just lives
- 24:23Speaker 4: his life singing silly songs, being a silly, fun little guy.
- 24:27Speaker 4: He has more power than they have ever seen. Could
- 24:31Speaker 4: not care less. And if you talk shit about Tom Bombadil,
- 24:35Speaker 4: the nerds will come for you. They will fight you. Yeah,
- 24:39Speaker 4: and I'm just gonna take that energy into the games
- 24:41Speaker 4: coming up. Yeah, I'm just a silly little guy.
- 24:45Speaker 5: A.
- 24:47Speaker 7: Fashion forward fighter. Oh I love it.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Great stuff. Yeah, a very inspiring character. The nerds do
- 24:57Speaker 3: you love him? So that is good?
- 24:59Speaker 2: And I think like this team understood the reference. You
- 25:01Speaker 2: guys know, Tom Bombadil Right, friends, Yep, Okay, I'm genuinely
- 25:09Speaker 2: feeling so inspired.
- 25:10Speaker 3: So shall we play some games? Yeah, let's do it.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Okay, teams, Let's hop aboard that massive eagle and head
- 25:16Speaker 2: straight to the quick fire around.
- 25:18Speaker 3: Oh wait, actually we don't. We can't use the eagle.
- 25:21Speaker 3: Apparently we can't use the eagle for some reason.
- 25:23Speaker 6: We can't.
- 25:23Speaker 3: All right, let's really draw.
- 25:25Speaker 2: This competition out and walk into round one. Round one
- 25:34Speaker 2: is called a wizard is never articulate our twist on
- 25:38Speaker 2: a board game with a registered trademark.
- 25:41Speaker 3: This is what edgie comedy looks like.
- 25:44Speaker 2: In turns Our, players will have two minutes to articulate
- 25:47Speaker 2: a list of five Lord of the Rings things for
- 25:50Speaker 2: their teammate to guess without saying the words contained on
- 25:54Speaker 2: their list. Players can either give in universe clues or
- 26:01Speaker 2: break the word down into syllables. A spin of the
- 26:07Speaker 2: wheel will decide the category. Those categories are artifacts, creatures, Hobbits, places, orcs,
- 26:17Speaker 2: elves your choice or the mystery category. Yeah, okay, so
- 26:25Speaker 2: I think we're going to start with Josh describing things
- 26:28Speaker 2: for Chris.
- 26:30Speaker 3: Oh I have had. I did an extra twist.
- 26:32Speaker 2: I'd like the articulator to speak in a certain style
- 26:35Speaker 2: while they're articulating.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Hat and a hat, Josh, I would like you to
- 26:40Speaker 3: be a.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Cockney orc, like an orcs as they are in Lord
- 26:42Speaker 2: of the Rings the Cockneyorks. All right, exactly, So that
- 26:48Speaker 2: is how you will be articulating. Let's find out your
- 26:50Speaker 2: category of things for Chris to guess.
- 26:52Speaker 3: It is places. So it is places in Middle Earth?
- 26:58Speaker 3: If I can get these? Oh no, why did I
- 27:00Speaker 3: write them on sticky notes? There we go.
- 27:04Speaker 7: I like I'm sticky.
- 27:07Speaker 2: I thought you were going to play this clean. Okay,
- 27:10Speaker 2: two minutes on the clock.
- 27:12Speaker 3: You're both ready, Yes, your time starts.
- 27:16Speaker 7: Now, where's baggings of the Shire? Where specific?
- 27:25Speaker 3: Uh?
- 27:26Speaker 7: Inhabitant?
- 27:26Speaker 3: Hey, that's the point the White City?
- 27:31Speaker 9: Oh uh, oh my god, I'm fully where Elissair will rain.
- 27:39Speaker 7: This is so embarrassing. I know it's Min's here a
- 27:44Speaker 7: place known as Imladris. Oh is that Rivendell?
- 27:49Speaker 3: Yes, that's too nerty.
- 27:53Speaker 9: An opposite place, the more non Oh that one gar
- 27:58Speaker 9: is also known as this entrance to Gorgoroth.
- 28:04Speaker 7: Oh ship uh is there is pass an option. It's
- 28:11Speaker 7: not white like the White City.
- 28:14Speaker 9: It's it's it's not white, it's black city.
- 28:22Speaker 7: It is the Yeah, okay, there we go. I got there.
- 28:26Speaker 9: And also that the chamber of Mars boul has This
- 28:29Speaker 9: where a dwarf that we love died.
- 28:35Speaker 3: Is that the Lonely Mountain?
- 28:37Speaker 9: No, the Fellowship was there and got into a fight. Maria, Yeah,
- 28:43Speaker 9: but what was Gimli standing.
- 28:45Speaker 7: On swinging that the tomb of Balin? Yeah? Sorry, I
- 28:55Speaker 7: should have asked, what does con mean?
- 28:59Speaker 3: It's the only British accent of people do to me?
- 29:04Speaker 9: But is that.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Fantastic stuff? I believe it's a full five out of five.
- 29:10Speaker 2: There good stuff from our Lord of the Rings.
- 29:12Speaker 3: Nerds too many?
- 29:14Speaker 2: Yes, Okay, we are going to move on over to
- 29:18Speaker 2: I'm not going to say your team name, only you
- 29:20Speaker 2: can say your team name. We're going to move over
- 29:21Speaker 2: two and we are going to have Meghan describing.
- 29:29Speaker 6: For oh yay.
- 29:32Speaker 2: We're going to spin the wheel and the wheel is creatures?
- 29:38Speaker 6: Is what you have some of those?
- 29:40Speaker 3: Remember you might have to break down the words into
- 29:43Speaker 3: its into its parts. If I can find the creatures now.
- 29:49Speaker 4: Just this is great because then I can just try
- 29:50Speaker 4: to review as many creatures in my head as humanly possible.
- 29:54Speaker 2: Meghan, could you describe these fordra in the style of
- 29:57Speaker 2: an elf queen?
- 29:58Speaker 7: Oh?
- 29:58Speaker 6: Awesome, Okay, okay.
- 30:01Speaker 3: Are you ready, Megan? I think so your time thoughts.
- 30:04Speaker 6: Now, I'm gonna start with the second one. The tree people.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Uh oh, the tree people and yes, yeah, one.
- 30:17Speaker 6: Okay, so uh there. A woman's pronouns might be.
- 30:26Speaker 4: Yes, we're in this, we're in the okay.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Someone who views things.
- 30:35Speaker 5: Inside h two? Oh, great stuff, okay, less than two.
- 30:47Speaker 6: One one.
- 30:50Speaker 5: Then there's two little words in the between. And then
- 30:52Speaker 5: the last one is like when people battle but there's
- 30:56Speaker 5: a couple of extra letters.
- 30:57Speaker 6: At the end. Or if you have something.
- 31:02Speaker 5: Like a huh like a a skin tag or uh
- 31:09Speaker 5: ward but without the tea and put two different letters.
- 31:15Speaker 5: I have two of these letters in my name.
- 31:18Speaker 6: Work the number.
- 31:22Speaker 1: One one of the war. There we go one of
- 31:25Speaker 1: the wars.
- 31:27Speaker 6: Okay, there's more. It falls down, the one.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Ward that goes off the cliff.
- 31:35Speaker 6: No quite, no quite, no, it falls down immediately. It quickly.
- 31:39Speaker 4: Oh, the wark that dies, the one work that dies
- 31:42Speaker 4: goes in.
- 31:43Speaker 6: On itself, collapses when on.
- 31:47Speaker 1: Top of gimli.
- 31:47Speaker 3: There we go.
- 31:50Speaker 5: Okay, something that bounces a sphere bounces ball uh huh,
- 31:56Speaker 5: and then uh something you clean up table.
- 32:02Speaker 7: That's all.
- 32:08Speaker 1: More a lie.
- 32:11Speaker 7: What of the war extent? That's honestly kind of rude made.
- 32:18Speaker 7: That's pretty rude.
- 32:19Speaker 3: But you nail that, You nail that.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Incredible. You've got a chance at this.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Now we're gonna have Chris describing for Josh okay, so
- 32:29Speaker 2: we'll spin the wheel to find out what you've got.
- 32:31Speaker 3: Oh, it's the mystery category. Brilliant, okay. And the mystery
- 32:38Speaker 3: category is cities in New Zealand.
- 32:43Speaker 2: But it is Chris describing for Josh Okay.
- 32:47Speaker 7: I feel like I've been catfished.
- 32:51Speaker 3: And this is so fitting.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Chris, and I would have given you this no matter
- 32:53Speaker 2: which category you got in a New Zealand accent.
- 32:56Speaker 9: Plea perfect alright, that was it was a bit too Australian. Sorry,
- 33:02Speaker 9: I'm gonna try to get it.
- 33:03Speaker 3: Get you. Just bring the key.
- 33:05Speaker 7: We up a bit. It's just a bit, just a bit.
- 33:09Speaker 3: All right, you both ready? Yes, starts now?
- 33:15Speaker 9: Okay, so this, this fist city is actually at least
- 33:18Speaker 9: you top so, so, yes, that is one of them.
- 33:22Speaker 9: Let's just go with that. Yes, you got Yes, that
- 33:27Speaker 9: was the one I was about to describe. Man, Yeah,
- 33:29Speaker 9: I'll so the next one, the second one, is actually
- 33:32Speaker 9: on the same island, the North Island, and it's the
- 33:35Speaker 9: most northern large city, Auckland.
- 33:38Speaker 7: Yes it is. This one.
- 33:40Speaker 9: This next city is in the southern island and it
- 33:43Speaker 9: sounds like a like a Jesusy type of town, Nazareth.
- 33:50Speaker 7: Close, honestly close.
- 33:51Speaker 9: So so so Jesus' second name is Christ and then
- 33:56Speaker 9: when the Christ, Yeah, yeah it is. And so this
- 33:59Speaker 9: one I don't know where it is, but there's a
- 34:00Speaker 9: musical about a bunch of founding fathers with lin Manuel Miranda.
- 34:09Speaker 7: Where they rap about the Constitution.
- 34:12Speaker 9: Yeah, Hamilton, Yeah, there it is there it is uh
- 34:16Speaker 9: And there's there's a guy in Star Wars his name
- 34:18Speaker 9: is Jaba.
- 34:19Speaker 7: The and then not upper but lower lower hut.
- 34:25Speaker 9: It is.
- 34:26Speaker 3: What clue would you have given for Wellington that with
- 34:28Speaker 3: indress beef is the is.
- 34:29Speaker 7: The biggest city on the south part of the North Island. Said,
- 34:35Speaker 7: Wellington and Auckland were the only two I had ever heard.
- 34:37Speaker 2: Of great stuff, great New Zealand knowledge or breaking down words?
- 34:43Speaker 3: Anyway, all right.
- 34:44Speaker 2: We're going to finish things off in this round with
- 34:46Speaker 2: Audre describing for Megan.
- 34:48Speaker 3: Okay, so let's find out.
- 34:52Speaker 7: Megan is optimistic.
- 34:55Speaker 3: Okay, it is. It is your choice as it turns out.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Okay, what are the what are the remaining categor.
- 35:00Speaker 2: The remaining categories are hobbit, Hobbit family names, orc names,
- 35:05Speaker 2: elf names, or magical objects.
- 35:09Speaker 4: I personally feel like Hobbit names are gonna be able
- 35:14Speaker 4: to be broken down.
- 35:15Speaker 5: Okay, if they can be broken down, okay, okay, okay.
- 35:18Speaker 3: Okay, okay, go with Hobbit family names.
- 35:23Speaker 2: You're both ready.
- 35:25Speaker 6: I'm gonna be.
- 35:28Speaker 3: Wait what is that'd be such a good point? Thank
- 35:30Speaker 3: you so much, Chris.
- 35:31Speaker 7: I'm sorry. I like the rules.
- 35:34Speaker 3: Because none of these points would have counted otherwise.
- 35:37Speaker 5: It definitely maintained that Queen Elf exit the whole. Yeah
- 35:41Speaker 5: that did that?
- 35:43Speaker 2: Okay, so Odra again fitting category. I would like you
- 35:45Speaker 2: to do this as a scared little hobbit.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Oh no, mister Baggins, exactly.
- 35:51Speaker 3: Your time starts now is one of them?
- 35:54Speaker 1: What's the name.
- 35:57Speaker 7: New Bagons?
- 35:58Speaker 6: Ahead of time?
- 35:58Speaker 4: I know that the the opposite of bad good and
- 36:03Speaker 4: then wiggle like pet.
- 36:08Speaker 1: The human, the human.
- 36:10Speaker 6: Cors body good body, Yes, that's.
- 36:13Speaker 1: One of them. What's the opposite of short?
- 36:17Speaker 8: Tall?
- 36:18Speaker 4: And then hobbits live in uh huts like in the ground,
- 36:24Speaker 4: and you take.
- 36:25Speaker 6: Them a whole hobbit hole or so what do you
- 36:28Speaker 6: say tall?
- 36:29Speaker 5: Hole?
- 36:31Speaker 1: Short?
- 36:31Speaker 4: Like distance like it's a short distance runner or a.
- 36:36Speaker 6: Long long hole? Yeah? Okay, now, now what's it called me?
- 36:41Speaker 6: In High School.
- 36:44Speaker 7: Girl?
- 36:46Speaker 12: I had I b say.
- 36:53Speaker 4: This one. I think it's in the movie. Maybe it's
- 36:56Speaker 4: in the extended edition, I don't know.
- 37:00Speaker 1: At the bottom of.
- 37:01Speaker 4: Your legs set foot the singular, but with the s
- 37:06Speaker 4: at the end foots. And then when you're not very humble,
- 37:10Speaker 4: you're you're.
- 37:11Speaker 6: Very proud, Yes, foot's proud, proud foots.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Okay.
- 37:16Speaker 4: The last one I'm not going to be able to get,
- 37:19Speaker 4: but I'm gonna try my best.
- 37:21Speaker 6: Is it the Brandy one? This is something I thought
- 37:23Speaker 6: there was a Brandy Brandy.
- 37:25Speaker 1: It's so difficult. I don't know if I'm going to
- 37:28Speaker 1: be able.
- 37:28Speaker 4: To like, like if you're like preparing for impact, like
- 37:34Speaker 4: if you're preparing.
- 37:35Speaker 5: For bracing, yes, and then like like an undergarment of
- 37:41Speaker 5: a honeycoat style. Yeah, what's the thing? Corset brace, corset.
- 37:48Speaker 1: So close, so close. Sorry, I'm scared. Oh no, I'm scared.
- 37:55Speaker 3: It You got that just before your time, right now.
- 38:00Speaker 6: Clincher, clinch my long hold.
- 38:04Speaker 7: The great eye sees all.
- 38:09Speaker 2: I don't think I can give you that last part, okay,
- 38:12Speaker 2: but I do think far out of five points is incredible.
- 38:14Speaker 6: Yes it is. It is. Thank you, far.
- 38:18Speaker 3: Out of five points there, all right? That is the end.
- 38:20Speaker 2: I can't believe you're cheating already.
- 38:22Speaker 6: That you can't you. I mean you were there in
- 38:26Speaker 6: the room when we did Shakespeare.
- 38:27Speaker 7: Yes, I was. You're establishing a pattern, Yes.
- 38:30Speaker 6: It's my thing.

- 39:30Speaker 2: twenty twenty five. Sindron, Yes, it is Sinndron. And because
- 39:37Speaker 2: this is Kris Coffeene will say twenty twenty five. I've
- 39:39Speaker 2: booked a special guest from the Lord of the Rings franchise,
- 39:43Speaker 2: So please give it up for Sniegel.
- 39:46Speaker 3: It's me, everybody.
- 39:50Speaker 6: Oh my god, we got gole.
- 39:58Speaker 3: I thought you were going to be a bit more
- 39:59Speaker 3: enthusias stick, I gotta be Yeah, I.
- 40:08Speaker 7: Try to get a line bloine cloth. I got a
- 40:11Speaker 7: long cloth.
- 40:17Speaker 6: An epidemic.
- 40:19Speaker 3: It happens.
- 40:20Speaker 7: I feel you think you, I feel.
- 40:22Speaker 6: You don't actually touch me.
- 40:25Speaker 7: The is what happens the of the year.
- 40:28Speaker 3: They don't have tips of years. It doesn't work, man,
- 40:32Speaker 3: it doesn't work.
- 40:35Speaker 4: Well.
- 40:35Speaker 3: I appreciate you putting on the naked body. See that's something.
- 40:39Speaker 2: Just maybe as you help us out with this game,
- 40:41Speaker 2: maybe a little more enthusiasm. Remember the twenty dollars in
- 40:44Speaker 2: the free drink. Yeah, okay, come on a little more.
- 40:49Speaker 7: I hate.
- 40:54Speaker 2: Okay, Well, snigele, You're gonna help us out with this round, right?
- 40:57Speaker 2: Can can you get into can you get into the
- 40:58Speaker 2: Smigel character?
- 40:59Speaker 3: Can I?
- 40:59Speaker 7: Can I something inspire? Okayspire me?
- 41:03Speaker 3: You so inspired? Inspire me? I'm so inspired. I've been
- 41:06Speaker 3: inspired by everyone up here.
- 41:07Speaker 2: I'm gonna inspire you by saying you can have two
- 41:09Speaker 2: free drinks?
- 41:16Speaker 3: All right, we got al give it up for.
- 41:23Speaker 2: Okay, so at Keskaffino say twenty twenty five, I've assembled
- 41:27Speaker 2: two panels of special guest stars who will each field
- 41:30Speaker 2: questions from our wonderful audience for five full minutes. The
- 41:35Speaker 2: problem is they have no idea who they are. Our
- 41:38Speaker 2: audience will be able to see who they are, and,
- 41:40Speaker 2: without saying the names on the scroll, will field leading
- 41:44Speaker 2: questions to our panel to try and help them guess
- 41:46Speaker 2: the individual from the Lord of the Rings fandom that
- 41:49Speaker 2: they are. As soon as a player correctly declares who
- 41:52Speaker 2: they are, we move on to the next difficulty on
- 41:54Speaker 2: the scroll. One point for the first, two point for
- 41:56Speaker 2: the second, and three for the third. Two players six
- 41:59Speaker 2: characters between them, five minutes to try and guess them
- 42:01Speaker 2: more correctly.
- 42:02Speaker 3: Yes, it's confusing.
- 42:05Speaker 2: Now, any members of our audience who would like to
- 42:07Speaker 2: help us with this game. Please do form an orderly
- 42:10Speaker 2: don't be scared by Smiegel. Form an orderly que behind
- 42:14Speaker 2: the microphone there i'd appreciate.
- 42:17Speaker 3: Okay, sorry, Yes, the Q is like a line.
- 42:20Speaker 1: It's almost exactly like a line.
- 42:22Speaker 2: And Ordra, I will need your help for this because
- 42:25Speaker 2: it will be Chris and Josh facing the game first.
- 42:27Speaker 2: But I would like you to hold up the scroll
- 42:29Speaker 2: of names.
- 42:30Speaker 1: I was born for this.
- 42:33Speaker 5: Icon.
- 42:34Speaker 2: He is wont to do that, it's contract to. So
- 42:38Speaker 2: there's the beautiful Lord of the Rings scroll. If Smigel
- 42:41Speaker 2: doesn't like your question, or you try and ask two questions,
- 42:43Speaker 2: he'll send you to the back of the line. Cool,
- 42:45Speaker 2: we all understand the game.
- 42:46Speaker 7: I think we're going first.
- 42:47Speaker 3: You guys are going first.
- 42:48Speaker 2: You'll have five minutes on the clock to field five
- 42:51Speaker 2: minutes questions, and you respond to the questions in character
- 42:54Speaker 2: knowing who you are.
- 42:55Speaker 3: Okay, so unless you don't know who you are, and
- 42:58Speaker 3: then try and respond as best you can and hopefully
- 43:01Speaker 3: you get more questions.
- 43:03Speaker 2: So cool, are we already with the scroll? What a
- 43:06Speaker 2: lovely line that's there?
- 43:09Speaker 13: They are exactly that, Yes, exactly like press conference, like
- 43:14Speaker 13: press conference. Yes, Okay, if we are ready with our
- 43:23Speaker 13: first question, your five minutes starts now.
- 43:27Speaker 14: Yeah, I'm just wondering if your dad ever glowing or glowing? U?
- 43:40Speaker 7: Yes, well mining in arabor. Uh? And then I say
- 43:44Speaker 7: my own name is during.
- 43:49Speaker 3: No, No, we need another question back of the line.
- 43:53Speaker 3: Back of the line. Oh, you can ask Christ Okay.
- 44:07Speaker 1: I just was wondering.
- 44:09Speaker 9: How the uh this is? That's uh gimli right now?

- 44:35Speaker 15: well on a very great blackstone floor?
- 44:39Speaker 3: Well?
- 44:40Speaker 7: As my character Mary? I believe I was, Oh ship, sorry, sorry,
- 44:46Speaker 7: I know what it is? Uh?
- 44:49Speaker 3: Another question, another question. I just love all the loation
- 44:53Speaker 3: you're using on your hands. Could you what that is?
- 45:00Speaker 7: I believe this is?
- 45:03Speaker 3: I believe.
- 45:05Speaker 7: Well. Gandalf usually uses a sorry.
- 45:08Speaker 3: Next question.
- 45:14Speaker 10: When you finally met your untimely end in hobbited. This
- 45:17Speaker 10: is for this is for Chris, your untimely that's something

- 45:34Speaker 15: Pirates of the Caribbean.
- 45:35Speaker 6: It's like you have a thing for franchises.
- 45:39Speaker 5: Uh.
- 45:40Speaker 9: Obviously, as an elf named Legless, I take that as
- 45:43Speaker 9: a compliment.

- 46:13Speaker 10: It does seem like your real life personality that you
- 46:17Speaker 10: are right now follows a similar pattern to the swashbuckling
- 46:21Speaker 10: or heroic, dexterous characters that you portray in franchise.
- 46:31Speaker 1: Your last name is something that a flower does, and
- 46:35Speaker 1: your first name is a city in Florida.
- 46:37Speaker 9: Maybe okay, Well, I am an elf named Lego List,
- 46:41Speaker 9: but some people call me Orlando Blue.

- 53:47Speaker 2: In this game, our teams will compose original Lord of
- 53:50Speaker 2: the Rings fan fiction. The twister is that fan fiction
- 53:53Speaker 2: will be written one word at a time, back and
- 53:55Speaker 2: forth between teammates after their fick has finished.
- 53:58Speaker 3: I'll rate them out of five points.
- 54:00Speaker 2: Players get points for using Tolkienism's fanfic tropes and for
- 54:04Speaker 2: staying true to their suggestion. Because I'm once again going
- 54:07Speaker 2: to call on our wonderful, brave audience for suggestions to
- 54:11Speaker 2: get them started. So I think we will begin with
- 54:14Speaker 2: Meghan and Udra doing a one word at a time
- 54:18Speaker 2: Lord of the Rings fan fiction, and this is a
- 54:20Speaker 2: chance for some specific Lord of the Rings suggestions from
- 54:22Speaker 2: an improv audience. What is your favorite secondary character from
