- 0:05Good morning, Good morning, Good morning family, God bless you, got
- 0:08blessed, welcome back to the Morning DeVos. You broke, Sam Lopez,
- 0:11And today's Friday. So we're getting into authentic imitationalogy. This is episode I
- 0:16believe number seventy seven. Wow, we're going, We're going. I hope
- 0:21I got the number right because it seems like we've been in the seventies for
- 0:24a little bit. But seventy seven, I think I have to check it.
- 0:28If you find that it's a different episode number. Let me know.
- 0:33I'm not perfect. Sometimes I make mistakes here, but we're here. Amen,
- 0:37God bless you, welcome back. So listen, let's go for authentic
- 0:40imentationlogy. Every Friday we try to get into our authentic inventationology mode, authentically
- 0:48imitated the most successful person who has ever lived on this planet, the Lord
- 0:52Jesus himself. Amen, And today we're talking about his will for our lives.
- 0:58Can we know guys will for our lives? It's not a mystery,
- 1:02it's not a mystery. A lot of people think, oh, that's a
- 1:03mysterious question. We can't never know guys will. A lot of people say
- 1:07that, and I'm like the will of God is playing generally for every single
- 1:11one of us in the scriptures. Amen. Personally, God has a will
- 1:15for me, God has a will for you. Generally, God says what
- 1:19his will is for all of us. Amen. So we can know the
- 1:23will of God for our lives. Amen. That's the beauty of it all.
- 1:26That's really the beauty of it all. We can't see and we can
- 1:30know the beauty of it all in Jesus name, it's not a mystery.
- 1:34Today in the Morning Devot authentic commentationology style. This is episode number seventy seven.
- 1:40We're going to be in James chapter four, verses fifteen to seventeen.
- 1:44James Chapter four, Chapter I mean, excuse me, Chapter four, verses
- 1:48fifteen to seventeen. So let's go for it. We're stream alive as so
- 1:52Win is with a ze that orgy as well, stream alive at live that
- 1:55so Win is with a z dot org and on YouTube page and all that
- 2:00stuff. So we end up building them a little late, but let's go
- 2:04for it. Better late than never, Right, I'll see you. Good
- 2:07morning, God, bless you. Welcome to the Morning Devo, my sister
- 2:09and my friend. So let's go for it. Let's see what God has
- 2:13for us today, Amen, And just get that word in our lives,
- 2:15get that word in our hearts and run with it and move that word and
- 2:21work that word in our lives. Amen. And why not got the word,
- 2:25Let's go for it. Let's be part of what God is doing in
- 2:30this world in our lives today. Amen. So we're gonna read James four
- 2:35fifteen to seventeen, but we're gonna pray first. After we pray, we'll
- 2:38shut this out for like sixty seconds. When we come back on the other
- 2:40side of those sixty seconds, we'll continue with authentic imitationalogy this episode number seventy
- 2:46seven. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or any prayer
- 2:51requests, you already know what to do. Don't hesitate. Leave it on
- 2:53the live chat, leave it on the live stream. Amen. If you're
- 2:57not live with me right now by the time you're watching this or listening,
- 3:00Amen, it's all good. If something comes up in your heart and your
- 3:04mind, you want to share something or courage your word or scripture, you
- 3:07have a question, you have a prayer request, do it that time as
- 3:10well, Amen, and I'll make sure I'll get back to you. In
- 3:15Jesus name. I don't know what's gonna happen tomorrow, a minute from now,
- 3:19or anything like that. But what I do know, I don't know
- 3:21my future. I just know who holds the future in his hands, and
- 3:23that's the Lord. Amen. So let's pray. After we pray, we'll
- 3:27get back into it. Amen. Let me take a quick sip of this
- 3:30water because I am dry today. Father, I thank you for today and
- 3:38thank you for right now. I thank you, lott God, that you
- 3:40have a will for our lives and a purpose and plan for our lives,
- 3:44and you've revealed it plainly in your word, and you speak to us individually
- 3:47according to your purpose and plan and your will fall life. I pray,
- 3:52Love God, that this will not be a mysterious thing the will of God
- 3:54for us, but you will, Low God, will make it plain,
- 3:57like your word says that you already have made it plain for us to seed,
- 4:00for us to learn, for us to know. Thank you, Lord
- 4:02God, that we can know of the will of God for our lives.
- 4:08We can know your will, We can know your mind because we know your
- 4:11word, and we see your word, and we learn your word, and
- 4:14we read your word and we apply your word. Thank you for the power
- 4:16of prayer. Thank you for Lord God, for your love, your grace,
- 4:19your mercy upon our lives. I pray a hedge of protection, Protect
- 4:23all my brothers and sisters in Christ, Protect my family, Protect my whole
- 4:27entire bloodline, from the very youngest family member to the very oldest, and
- 4:30everyone in between. I pray a peace of God, the peace of God
- 4:34that transcends all understanding. The world doesn't understand the peace that you gave us.
- 4:40So I pray Lord God, that we will receive and continue to receive
- 4:43that peace, and know that we are walking with the Prince of peace,
- 4:46which is you, Lord Jesus. I pray power, I pray love,
- 4:49I pray grace, forgiveness, mercy. I step forth arquen angels by the
- 4:54power of Jesus, and to the atmosphere right now, sending them forth to
- 4:59wherever we are found, setting the fourth to wherever you are found on the
- 5:02other side of this mic, on the other side of the screen, and
- 5:04Jesus name. I pray this by faith and those who agree we all say
- 5:09amen and amen. Let's take us sixty second break to share this out.
- 5:13When we come back, we'll be in James, Chapter number four, verses
- 5:15fifteen to seventeen. I'll be right back, man. Man, let's go
- 6:54for it. Let's see what Guy asked for us today. On authentic imitationalogy.
- 6:58This is part of the Blaze Barber study. Also thirty eight, am
- 7:00me to stand the time. I was a little late this morning. They've
- 7:03been getting things ready. But we're here now. So God is good.
- 7:06He's faithful to his word. Amen. So I'm excited for what God has
- 7:11for you and from me today. So let's go for it. So it's
- 7:15not a mystery, ladies and gentlemen. The will of God is known and
- 7:18made known to us through his word. One of the wills of God for
- 7:24us is for us to believe in the one who the Father sent, now,
- 7:27who the Father created, who the Father sent, And the sent one
- 7:30is the only begotten Son of God, which is the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 7:33Not a mystery. And man, we know that too. It's in the
- 7:36scriptures. James shot the four verses fifteen or seventeen. Yet you do not
- 7:42know the least thing about what may happen in your life tomorrow. What is
- 7:46secure in your life? What is secure in your life? That's the question.
- 7:51You are merely, Oh, I didn't put this on the screen,
- 7:55did I? I did it. I'm reading this and I'm not putting it
- 7:58on the screen. You are merely a vapor, like a puff of smoke
- 8:01or a wist of steam from a cooking pot that is visible for a little
- 8:07while and then vanishes into thin air. Instead, you ought to say,
- 8:13if the Lord wills, we will live, and we will do this or
- 8:20that. But as it is, you boast vainly in your pretension and arrogance.
- 8:28All such boasting is evil. So any person who knows what is right
- 8:33to do but does not do it to him, it is sin. Right,
- 8:41So instead of what we ought to do, and we ought to say,
- 8:46let's go by what God wants us to do and wants us to say.
- 8:48Amen, this is James, you apostle right, if the Lord wills,
- 8:56we will live and do this or that. As it is, you
- 9:01boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. So whoever knows the
- 9:03right thing to do and fails to do it for him, it is sin.
- 9:09That's why I tell people listen, the will of God is for us
- 9:13to believe in what he's doing and what he said of our lives. The
- 9:16will of God is the power of God. The will of God is the
- 9:20word of God. The will of God is our hope. We could trust
- 9:24in him. I don't know what's gonna happen tomorrow. You don't know what's
- 9:28gonna happen to him. We can make plans, but God will judge those
- 9:31plans. He will see if those plans are right for us or wrong for
- 9:35us. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Instead, you ought
- 9:41to say, if the Lord wills. So sometimes people ask, hey,
- 9:43you're gonna be there next week, I said, Lord. I always say
- 9:46Lord willing. Sometimes I'll get a laugh back and be like laugh aloud,
- 9:50but really, now you gotta be there if the Lord wills. I don't
- 9:54know what God has for me next week. I know what He has for
- 9:58me right now today, And I know we ask for you right now today,
- 10:01if you're watching and listening, he has the word for your life.
- 10:05We don't know the least thing about what may happen tomorrow. What is secure
- 10:11your life? That's a good question, because we're a vapor, like a
- 10:13puff of smoke or a whistle steam from a cooking pot, that is visible
- 10:18for a little while and then vanishes into the air. That is how quick
- 10:22our life is according to eternity, according to God's eternal purpose for our lives,
- 10:28according to his move in our lives. Right that is God's own will.
- 10:33That he knows that. It's not a mystery. He knows that we
- 10:39are favored by him. We all know He knows us today. He knows
- 10:45what's gonna happen tomorrow and a second from now. I don't know what's gonna
- 10:48happen ten minutes from now, but God does. So if you put your
- 10:52whole faith in trust in him, he will show you the will that He
- 10:56has for your life. Hey man, will he protect you? Yes?
- 11:00Will he leave you? No? Will he abandon you? Know? Will
- 11:01he lie to you? Know? Right? His promises, he doesn't take
- 11:05it back. All his promises at yate and amen, and his word for
- 11:09you and for me, He doesn't favor anyone. You have to take one
- 11:13day at a time. It's like you say, what you can eat today,
- 11:18you eat it today because you don't know what tomorrow could bring. Yeah,
- 11:22and be grateful when we're grateful and we walk in thanksgiving to what God
- 11:26has done for us. Right now, Amen, Tomorrow really won't matter.
- 11:31We are grateful for what's happening right now today. Tomorrow's not promised. But
- 11:35God did a better thing than promising us tomorrow. He promised us eternal life
- 11:39through Christ, who gives us the strength. He promised us eternal life if
- 11:43we put our whole faith in trust in Him. Amen. Do I get
- 11:46it right every day? Absolutely not? Does God get it right every day?
- 11:50Absolutely yes? It is what it is God. Trust in the one
- 11:56that is perfect. He's perfecting means perfecting you. Amen. Forward and knowing
- 12:01that we could trust a living, holy, righteous lives. This is not
- 12:03something that we made up. There's nothing something that we could make up,
- 12:09even if we wanted. To a man, this is a God moved This
- 12:11is something that God knows what's going to happen in the future. So many
- 12:16people think of God's will for their lives as this mysterious path that they have
- 12:20to somehow discover and figure out how to walk on. Right, Well,
- 12:26this is mysterious. Let me try to figure this out. Let me try
- 12:28to decode the scriptures. It's true that we don't know the future right,
- 12:33and we don't know all the details that God has planned for our individualized right.
- 12:39But we know what the word says. So no, we don't know
- 12:43if we still be God's will. For we'll be working in the same job
- 12:48next we don't know if that's the will of God. We'll be working the
- 12:50same job next year. We don't know if it's the will of God.
- 12:52If we're going to the same church next year, if we'll be doing the
- 12:56same type of ministry next year. We don't know that. We don't even
- 12:58know if God's will that we're gonna be alive tomorrow, alive tomorrow. We
- 13:05don't even know if that's God's will. But that doesn't mean that our lives
- 13:09is a big mystery. What it means is that we don't know everything.
- 13:13And I'm okay with that. You should be okay with that. If anybody
- 13:16goes around saying they know everything, then we're gonna question, Well, I'm
- 13:18gonna question if they're God. Because God is the only one that knows everything.
- 13:24Amen, He's omnipresent, he's all knowing, he's almighty. But yet
- 13:28he's a gentle spirit. James stressed that we should be seeking the Lord's will
- 13:33instead of our own will, that we should always be asking we should always
- 13:35be, you know, asking the question, what's going to happen? What's
- 13:41the will of God of my life? I understand where James is coming from.
- 13:45Amen, it's not a mystery what James is saying, what James's is
- 13:48talking about. It might be a mystery to those who don't believe, because
- 13:54there is some kind of they have some kind of idea that they can never
- 13:58know. And I know even religious people think that we won't know until we're
- 14:01done on this side of eternity. Some people religious people say, oh,
- 14:07how do you know if you're saved, because you don't really know. We'll
- 14:09find out when we're gone, when we're dead, and then God will way
- 14:13the good and way the bad in our lives and whatever weighs more, that's
- 14:16how we're going to go. So they think that that's the way they figure
- 14:22it out. They think that's the way you figure out the will of God.
- 14:24And that's not the way you figure out the will of God. You
- 14:26don't have to figure out anything if God is telling us his will for your
- 14:30life and his will for my life. So instead we shall humbly make our
- 14:35plans acknowledging that ultimately God will decide what we have the opportunity to do.
- 14:43So, Yeah, we have calendar. Me and my wife have a calendar.
- 14:46We try to share the calendar and may we try to make sure that's
- 14:48not conflicting events or things that we have to do. But we're looking at
- 14:52the calendar and I'm like, I'm looking at so I don't know what I'm
- 14:56doing and there's nothing in that day or that then I always tell my wife.
- 15:01Unless something happens, I don't know what I'm doing, Amen, Unless
- 15:05I'm booked for a DJ event or to do sounds, to minister or radio
- 15:09show, whatever the situation, I don't know, and like this, I
- 15:13live like this. If it's not in the calendar, I'm not gonna remember.
- 15:18But what I excuse me, what I do remember? If it's the
- 15:20word says, that's up to God ultimately, what's gonna happen in months from
- 15:26now, days from now, minutes from now. Amen, I have to
- 15:28rely on that. You know what I should put in my calendar. If
- 15:33God wills, that's what I'm gonna stop putting on my calendar, Lord willing.
- 15:37So I'll put the event, Lord willing. Because it's only by God,
- 15:41Amen, that we get the grace, or he gives us the power,
- 15:43or he gives us the ability or the opportunity to do what we're really
- 15:48planning to do. Amen, it's up to God. Our plans should always
- 15:52honor and obey the Lord, because if they don't, that is a show
- 15:56fire sign that God's will is not there for us. Think about it.
- 16:03If our plan is to do something crazy and do something raunchy, do something
- 16:07that dishonors God, that means his will is not there for us. So
- 16:11we're operating there by chance but on our own. Amen. And we're playing
- 16:17spiritual Russian roulette, right, and don't do that. God knows our heart.
- 16:22So if we're planning something to do that's going to hurt someone, that's
- 16:26going to just be selfish, a simple thing, a desire. Whatever you
- 16:32planning that you put on your countless I'm gonna do this next week, whatever,
- 16:36And don't think that's the will of God for your life. That's your
- 16:38will for your life. Amen, to be honest. Well, furthermore,
- 16:41our plans should always honor and obey the Lord. James said that if we
- 16:47know right from wrong and engage in the wrong thing anyway, that is simple
- 16:52for you and for me right. If you know better, better, do
- 17:00it right and honestly. And most of us guess what. Most of us
- 17:03do know better. Amen, My nine year old knows better, A three
- 17:08year old knows better. You know better, I know better. We know
- 17:12what's frightening, what's wrong. It's written. The love of God's written on
- 17:15the hearts a man. Morality is written on the hearts. We were born
- 17:19with a conscience. We were born into sin, yes, but we're also
- 17:22born with a conscience. The to word means gone in Latin gone son means
- 17:27with. Science means knowledge. We're born with knowledge, knowledge of what,
- 17:32knowledge of right and wrong. We're already born with that. Amen. And
- 17:37Ephesians five to five, Chapter five, verses fifteen to seven, Poor wrote,
- 17:41Look carefully, then, how you walk, not as unwise, but
- 17:45as wise, making the best use of the time. Because the days are
- 17:51evil. You see it, I see it. The days are evil.
- 17:53Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord
- 17:59is. He then went on to say, don't get drunk, but do
- 18:03sing to the Lord, Do give thanks and submit to God and submit to
- 18:08each other. Amen. To that way, we're lining up with the will
- 18:12of God for our lives. Right. Paul also list the key aspects of
- 18:18God's will for our lives and first Deessalonians. Finally, then he said,
- 18:23finally, then, brother, we ask and urge you in the Lord Jesus,
- 18:27that you, as you receive from us how you ought to walk and
- 18:32to please God. Just as you are doing that, you do so more
- 18:37and more. For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus.
- 18:41For this is the will of God, your sanctification. First Thessalonians,
- 18:45chapter four, Verses one and three. Then he lists some things that we
- 18:52should stay away from because it's not the will of God for you, it's
- 18:55not the will of God for me. Here's the list of the things that
- 18:57are not the will of God for you and for me. Amen. So
- 19:02that if that will help you out and help you know what what's not the
- 19:06will of God, and then you will figure out what's the opposite is the
- 19:10will of God. This is not what's the will of God. He lists
- 19:11abstaining from sexual immorality, exercising self control, being holy worthy of honor,
- 19:19and not sinning against each other but loving each other. We're brotherly love instead.
- 19:25First Thessalonians, chapter number four Versus four to ten. Right, and
- 19:30Paul keeps on going. He wants us to know that the will of God
- 19:33is so much better than we have our own will. When we have our
- 19:37own will, not my will be done, Lord, but your will,
- 19:41do will be done. Because I know if I'm in the will of God,
- 19:44I'm in the word of God. The promises of God are going to
- 19:45apply. Right, Everything that the word of God has for my life and
- 19:49for your life is going to apply when we find ourselves aligned with the will
- 19:53of God. With the word of God, It's powerful. There's no fun
- 19:57on this planet that can satisfy the soul. Amen, Sexual things, smoking,
- 20:03drinking, partying, all that stuff, money, all of that stuff
- 20:07cannot satisfy the soul. Yeah, it will bring you pleasure for the moment,
- 20:11but then when the next moment comes, you gonna be more empty than
- 20:14you started with than you will before. Trust me, I've been in that
- 20:17world. I've been in that lifestyle. I've been in the world before.
- 20:21I know that it drives up real quick, Amen, it drives up real
- 20:26quick. And then, as a matter of fact, the people that were
- 20:27with you in that situation, those situations, and they don't really stick around
- 20:33long enough to figure out the will of God for their lives either. So,
- 20:37while you're walking in the will of God and you notice that people stay
- 20:41back, they stay away, they call you crazy, or they try to
- 20:44bring you back into their mysterious life, into their how you call it,
- 20:51morbid life, into their reckless life, A man into their misery. Misery
- 20:56loves company. But I don't want to be a part of that company,
- 20:59right, You don't want to be a part of that company. Listen.
- 21:00I have my own problems. I have enough problems. The day has enough
- 21:03problems. We don't need to be drawn into other people's problems. Amen,
- 21:07Let's be in the will of God. It's not a mystery. It's plain
- 21:12to see what the will of God is for you, and what the will
- 21:15of God is for me, and what the will of God is for us.
- 21:18Generally speaking, it managed all through the New Testament, through the apostle
- 21:22Paul, who was inspired to write it down. Good morning, Sis to
- 21:23join us. I see you, good morning, God, bless you in
- 21:26your family as well in Jesus name. Yes, so we have the word.
- 21:32God didn't leave us to wonder how to live and how to please him.
- 21:37Amen. But we clearly know what God communicated, what God expects Amen.
- 21:44God expects us to follow his commandments. God expects us to know him.
- 21:48God expects us to worship him. God expects us to know on what
- 21:52the will, his will fallies is, and he wants us to live.
- 21:56He doesn't want us to die. He wants us to live in his will.
- 21:59Will die outside of his will. Amen, And that'll be a horrible
- 22:03thing. Knowing what's right and who's the one who knows what's right and doing
- 22:07the opposite, doing what's wrong regardless, and that right there is sin,
- 22:11and sin separates us from the will of God. A man's sin separates us
- 22:15from the presence of God. But nothing can separate us from the love of
- 22:21God. God will still love us. His love will chase us down,
- 22:23but we could reject his love. Unfortunately, a lot of people right now
- 22:27in this world are rejecting the love of God for whatever reasons. Thousands of
- 22:32reasons why. But those reasons start turning into excuses. Amen, It's not
- 22:37the will of God for your life. God's will for our lives is no
- 22:41mystery. His will is revealed to us in his word We don't know what
- 22:47the future holds, but we know how to walk in His will. The
- 22:52Bible clearly, clearly tells us how we ought to live in a way that
- 22:56what pleases and Babe God, as we know the right thing to do,
- 23:03let's not fail to do the right thing. Let's do the right thing.
- 23:07Spike Lee right. So we can't trust the will of God for our lives,
- 23:11we can know the will of God for all lives. It's not a
- 23:15mystery. I know a lot of people try to make this a mysterious thing.
- 23:18Or who knows the will of God? Nobody knows the word. Yes,
- 23:21we do know the will of God. Yes we know that we're saved.
- 23:23Yes we know that we're born again. Yes we know where we go
- 23:26after we die. Yes we know who the Savior is. Yes we know
- 23:29who God is. Yes we know what the Word says. Yes we know
- 23:32how to apply the word. We know the will of God. Don't try
- 23:36to convince yourself that you don't know the will of God for your life when
- 23:40it's right there in the scripture, is right there in the word. So
- 23:41follow the will we were in James chapter four. Read the whole chapter for
- 23:45yourself. We were camping out of verses fifteen to seventeen, but if you
- 23:49read the whole chapter you'll get a better understanding. Amen. I try to
- 23:52do these things in a bite sized way, so that way we could get
- 23:56a pump, get this in our heart and then apply it to our Dave.
- 23:59Right now, so I'm out of time, but thank you so much
- 24:02for hanging out with me on these morning devots. Have a great weekend.
- 24:04God bless you all. Got to keep you all and remember always that God
- 24:10is good. Peace,
