- 3:42pleasure to have you here on the podcast today. Why don't we start out
- 3:49by telling the people a little bit about you. Thank you for having me,
- 3:57Alexander. I'm a pro life, aarlegant for jeff University and also for
- 4:00a beautiful mess me do that. I have six beautifully and wonderfully made children.
- 4:06I do a lot of work out in the community, and I am
- 4:10a mommy to all. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for sharing
- 4:15that, and once again, welcome to the Crew podcast Triggered Reactions Conquered with
- 4:20Lisa Hopkins. At this time, I'm gonna go forward with the scripture that
- 4:27Miss Destara picked for us on today, and then she's going to expound a
- 4:31little bit on why she chose this scripture. The scripture is coming from Psalm
- 4:36one thirty nine, thirteen and fourteen, and it reads as followed, For
- 4:45thou hast possessed my reigns, thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
- 4:50I will praise THEE for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are thy
- 4:57works, and my soul knoweth right well. I thank God for that scripture
- 5:03on today, because truly we were formed in our mother's roomb. Shapen in
- 5:10iniquity, in sin where we conceived. And right now we're gonna have a
- 5:15word from mister Stara, and she's gonna tell us a little bit about why
- 5:19she chose that particular scripture. So I chose that particular scripture. To me,
- 5:29it speaks a lot of value value as far as our father in heaven,
- 5:32what he did and how he did it. It's like you know when
- 5:36we take a need on a thread and we're showing something together or a yarn
- 5:42and we make in a quote or a blanket. So he knitted us in
- 5:46our mother room, which means what he did was perfect a man, and
- 5:51our God makes no mistakes. It's like Potter on the Potter's wheel. He
- 5:58molds us and makes us into what we are today, and he also shapes
- 6:03us for our purpose. At this time, we're going to ask I'm gonna
- 6:11ask you just to tell us a little bit about your childhood. My childhood,
- 6:20I believe was maybe like typical people childhood. I grew up in a
- 6:26house with my siblings and my mom's oldest child. If they all with my
- 6:30mom and my dad called me miss prissy, I guess I was pretty when
- 6:35I was coming up. I love to dance and spend time with our family,
- 6:43and I love to eat. So I love when we got together and
- 6:45could my mommy was always there. I think we were. I think I'm
- 6:48a spoiled brat in some cases. I say that because I had my mom
- 6:57and my dad there and also had the how do you place it, like
- 7:04a wealthy part in? Uh? I like I'm blended on both ends.
- 7:13Amen. That's awesome. So you had a pretty good childhood, plenty of
- 7:18siblings to run around with, grow up and learn with. So we thank
- 7:21God for that. I oh, yes, yes, yeah, a lot
- 7:30to do. So our topic today is a story of the star's hope.
- 7:40Um she is, Uh, she's h advocate for people not having abortions.
- 7:49We're gonna get into that, but before we go, she's gonna tell us
- 7:56about the root of abortion. Yes. So the root of abortion was put
- 8:03in place to terminate the Negro babies, and it was put in place by
- 8:11a woman named Margaret Singer, and her goal was too in her eyes,
- 8:20the Negro the covered families wasn't wealthy or worthy enough to be here placed on
- 8:28earth. When I look at it, and a worldly part of part of
- 8:31you. Maybe she thought she was just helping the people, and you know,
- 8:35women were getting pregnant and she could help them prevent going into more property
- 8:41by putting plan parenthood. She also is the lady that opened up plan parents
- 8:46hood in nineteen sixteen. So when I look at it spiritually, our father
- 8:52in heaven created us to be nurturius and to go and reproduce. So once
- 9:01again, it just goes back to him saying everything was good the way that
- 9:05he created a woman. He put everything in place for us to carry a
- 9:11childhood. So us as mankind don't how to say, so to say what
- 9:18kind should be here? Or that's greater than her least sin and Margaret Singer,
- 9:26Okay, we thank her for her knowledge about the root of abortion and
- 9:33that you were able to share that with us. Now let me ask you,
- 9:37have you ever had an abotion abortion? Yes, ma'am. How can
- 9:41you tell us a little bit about that? Yes, so, I've had
- 9:48five abortions. The first time I've ever had an abortion I was a baby
- 9:52when I was fifteen years old. But I say a baby because I was
- 9:56still a child. I was going to track tryouts, I was in middle
- 10:01school. I wanted to run track, so I went to tryouts. It
- 10:03was summertime, and I fainted, and of course they called my mommy and
- 10:09she came and got me. I thought I fainted because it was hot outside.
- 10:13When we went to the doctor and to find out I was pregnant,
- 10:16which means I was a baby having a baby. I didn't even know that
- 10:18I was pregnant, said, you know, she introduced me to like abortion,
- 10:24like, okay, you're gonna go get abortion. I didn't even know
- 10:28what that was, you know. So at this time, I'm just like
- 10:31confused. I'm listening to what my mommy said. I made a mistake,
- 10:35you know, she's upsettling me. So that's how I was introduced to abortion
- 10:41and playing parenthood. And once again, now today that I'm very well knowledge
- 10:48knowledgeable, it doesn't what I felt that I don't feel that today. So
- 10:54it just goes back to nineteen sixteen when Margaret put this in place, and
- 10:58then my mother coming up under that when planned parenthood was in the school's teaching
- 11:03that these type of things was okay because it wasn't even a child it right
- 11:09black, you know what I'm saying. So right, so when and at
- 11:16what time did you decide and what happened to make you decide that you didn't
- 11:22want to have any abortions anymore. For one, I think I was about
- 11:33the time when I was living in Texas and I started listening to a radio
- 11:37station called Focus on a Family, and there was so big would March for
- 11:41life, March for Life, March for Life. So I was like,
- 11:43what is that? And they was taking blessings donations to get ultrasounds put in
- 11:50different facilities so women that were pregnant could see their babying here the heartbeat.
- 11:54And I was one of those women that would go and donate my sixty dollars
- 12:00every single time because I wanted these monitors in these facilities so these women could
- 12:07see and hear that isn't actually a child. And I went to the pro
- 12:11life march. I believe it was twenty eighteen or nineteen, I'm not sure
- 12:16on the day, but it was the forty fit for forty six Pro Life
- 12:18March and Washington the seat and when I got there, they displayed they actually
- 12:26displayed like this big screen TV of what it looked like when you're having an
- 12:33abortion. So I see these scissors going in and it was like picking the
- 12:37baby apart, like pulling the leg apart it and pulling an arm apart,
- 12:39and then the other leg, and then the other leg and then the rest
- 12:43of the body, squishing it. The last thing that they squished was ahead.
- 12:46Oh my god, those to my knees. I was like, oh
- 12:48Lord that. I don't even know how I felt in that second. Like
- 12:54I wouldn't say I fainted, but I was just I was just on hands
- 12:56and knees, like, you know, I would forgive me for what I
- 12:58had done, because that's murder. Now does that Does that have anything to
- 13:05do with the unwanted surprise? It does? So the first time, no,
- 13:13it wasn't. So I don't know if it was the form or fifth.
- 13:16But I was going in again get an abortion, and I want to
- 13:20share this really quick. Sure, it was so comfortable to go in and
- 13:24get an abortion because everything was confidential. You don't have to tell nobody,
- 13:28you know, you don't have to tell your parents, you don't have to
- 13:30tell nobody. So it became a form of birth control for me. But
- 13:35this one particular time when I went in, there was you know, doing
- 13:37the job, moved fast and the monitor was sitting right here to the right
- 13:41of me, and the lady plugged it up, and you know, they
- 13:46check in, it's even pregnant, and I see the baby in there.
- 13:48I seemed a baby plan with it. These or her fingers and like the
- 13:52toes, and I was like, oh my goodness, Like but I'm like,
- 13:56I know that, I know that's the site of me. It's not
- 14:00nobody else in here. But I was so in like or whatever I was
- 14:05in that I still continue to later and go forth with the procedure. I
- 14:11understand. Okay, So I know you had your first baby, her name
- 14:18is Kalia. When Khalia was born and you had an opportunity to sit with
- 14:26her and look at her and touch her skin and see her play, didn't
- 14:33make you think about the other children that you had aboard it. It did
- 14:39so when she when they pulled her out and placed her on me, I
- 14:43was like, yeah, like I'm having an this is the whole baby.
- 14:48First thing I did was kiss her toes and me kissing her toes and like
- 14:54looking at her and counting her fingers like she had five fingers and five toes
- 14:56and two eyes. I'm like, this is this is like a whole baby.
- 15:01She was so chocolate and pretty. And then in the midst of that,
- 15:05it was kind of like a lot of guilt. But I before you
- 15:11know it, just I was like dang, like so the other ones was
- 15:18babies too, Yes, a lot of emotions. I was very emotion I
- 15:26could imagine I would. I would like for you to tell our listeners how
- 15:31many children you currently have today? I have six wonderful, energetic, fearfully
- 15:39and wonderfully made children, prays the Lord. That is such a blessing.
- 15:45Our children are our blessings. Even if if something is wrong with them,
- 15:52or if they have developed developmental challenges, those are still our babies. They
- 15:56are our blessings. And we want to thank for our children because they don't
- 16:03they are just not our children. We have an opportunity to see them grow
- 16:07up and see how God is going to develop them into adults. So we
- 16:11thank God for your children that you do have. Parenting and being a mommy
- 16:18is a wonderful thing. Amen. I love it. I love being a
- 16:22mommy. And I wanted to also add that that's how I know that my
- 16:25father in Heaven has forgiven me because he has still given opportunity to be a
- 16:30mother. Amen. Amen. So what Okay, I'm a twelve I'm this
- 16:38is like a little skit. I'm twelve years old and I'm in love with
- 16:45my what I think is my boyfriend at school. We're so in love that
- 16:52I'm pregnant. Now what do I do? What would you suggest for me
- 16:57to do? I'll give you two points of view. I always like to
- 17:03go to, you know, Christianity first, I'm a Christian, So I
- 17:07would say reach out to your local church. Reach out to your local church
- 17:11and tell somebody you know that you are pregnant. And I will also really
- 17:18strongly advise you to sit and talk with your boyfriend that you're so in love
- 17:22with, because he has to say so. You know, it's selfish of
- 17:29us to make all the decision because they're like, it's our body, but
- 17:32it took two to make that little third baby you know that's inside. So
- 17:36reach out to your local churches. There are a lot of pregnancy resource centers,
- 17:41but I would do my research on which one you reach out to because
- 17:45majority of them also support abortion. So reach out to the community. Talk
- 17:53to someone that you trust, an adult. Tell the Lord thank you that
- 17:59you can care even though you're so dumb, you know. But I will
- 18:03also encourage you to, you know, to keep your baby, and I
- 18:07will walk alongside you. And there are opportunities if you did not want to
- 18:11keep the baby, you can keep the baby and bless another family. But
- 18:15the baby that's not able to carry. And man, thank you, that's
- 18:19some good advice. I appreciate that. Now. When you were look,
- 18:25when you were a little girl and you started growing up, did you have
- 18:30the conversation with your mother? Did your mother set you down and tell you
- 18:36about sex and pregnancy and marriage and all that. Yes, So my mommy
- 18:41is like very open when it comes to sex, and I believe he did
- 18:47a great job. I did both. Just going back today, I'm an
- 18:49adult and I'm a Christian first, So when I'm taking my kids to save
- 18:55your body for marriage, you know what I'm saying, like, just don't
- 18:59just be out here having sex just for the pleasure of it, right because
- 19:04our father in heaven tells us not to do that. So the conversation of
- 19:10sex was in our household. It also was in our schools. But even
- 19:14before I heard it, and I think seven or sixth grade when in sex
- 19:17education, my mommy was already teaching us that she's already was teaching, you
- 19:21know, use protection and protection was conducts, you know. And okay,
- 19:27okay, I want to take you back to the first time, maybe the
- 19:33second, third time you had an abortion, when you were at the clinic
- 19:38and they prepped you and got you ready for the abortion. What did the
- 19:44nurse tell you they were actually doing. So they told me that they were
- 19:52just going to remove how did she place it to lucas? And so she
- 20:00made a circle like this. I don't know if you guys to really like
- 20:03see, but she was like, we're gonna remove some sell to tissues that's
- 20:07like about this size. And she's like, she said, it's like slimy,
- 20:11you know, like slime. And I was like, okay, okay,
- 20:17you know it sounds like it sounds very easy to do. Like if
- 20:22that's it, it's just a sell a tissue, We're gonna remove it.
- 20:26You're gonna bleed for a little bit, and you continue to go back like
- 20:29in a few days you can go back to your normal activities. Oh mind.
- 20:33And I believe that. Oh And it was so untrue. And I'm
- 20:37sure that they're still telling that same story today to get these young girls that
- 20:42are uneducated, that don't know that, you know, having been learned from
- 20:48their parents about abortion, they're still telling them that and feeling their heads up
- 20:53with untruths. And I don't believe that God is pleased with that. And
- 21:00I have a daughter that actually works at planned parenthood and she doesn't really feel
- 21:07too much about it. It's like she doesn't have a view on it.
- 21:12It's like it's her job to sign the people in and sign them out,
- 21:18so that's what she does. But I don't think that I would want to
- 21:22work at a planned parenthood because I know that somebody's gonna walk right past me
- 21:29and kill their baby. So yeah, that was quite an experience for you
- 21:36to grow up and one day learn that they really are killing children. So
- 21:42when you first dealt with the guilt of it, did you have like hallucinations
- 21:51or hear babies crying in your sleep or anything like that. Did you have
- 21:55any of those type of experiences. I did. I did used to hear
- 22:00babies crying, and it wasn't even in my sleep. I was like,
- 22:03I would be woke moving around and I was like so I was like,
- 22:08wow, you know, like I'm tripping, like something is like taking place
- 22:12here, and I didn't know what that was called, Like, I didn't
- 22:17know anything about anxiety, and none of the type of you know, mental
- 22:22I call him imprisonments that goes on today. But yes, I experienced that,
- 22:26and from that and having my own child at that time, I think
- 22:30by the time she was like two or three years old, I was just
- 22:33angry, wow, so much, and I wanted to be perfect for her
- 22:38because of what I did to the other children. Yes, I understand.
- 22:42And in the midst of that, it just when she cried, I was
- 22:45like, I want to hold her, but then I'm angry. Wow.
- 22:51It was emotions that brings me to my next question. Do you feel like
- 22:57you may be suffering or have suffered in the past from some sort of post
- 23:03traumatic stress disorder? Absolutely not today, but in my past absolutely yes,
- 23:11okay, and how did you cope with that? In my past? I
- 23:17mean roll a joint because I no more really understood like what was taking place,
- 23:23because remember it was confidential, so I didn't have to tell nobody,
- 23:29only the people the person that was driving me there, but to them,
- 23:33and they not gone through it, they don't really understand. I understand,
- 23:37So it sounds like, you are very very educated, and you've done your
- 23:45research, and I know that you know of an organization called the pro life
- 23:51movement. Can you tell us a little bit about that? Yes, so
- 23:56I am also part of the pro life movement. And with that is basically
- 24:00it's having a voice for the voiceless, because the baby in the womb doesn't
- 24:04have a voice, but we have a voice for the baby. Okay.
- 24:11And how can a person be a part of that movement? You can reach
- 24:18out to your local your local communities, your churches. The churches number one
- 24:26should have those particular resources. And also you're gonna start educating yourself and get
- 24:33out there and do it on your own. Okay. And now let me
- 24:38ask you this favor instance, you met a young child, how would you
- 24:47what would you say to introduce them to pro life? Meeting a young child,
- 24:55I would first let them know that they're fearfully and wonderfully made and not
- 24:59be as I said so because my father and having said so, and because
- 25:03he's also the one that created you. And I would ask them how how
- 25:10do they feel about that? Like how do you feel about what I just
- 25:11said? M And from there I would introduce them to being great and continuing
- 25:18to share that with every other child. We can even share with adults because
- 25:23ken type the impact or an adults also, Yes, okay, tell them
- 25:30that is a very start of being pro life. M And what do you
- 25:37think in your opinion, what do you think would be an alternative to having
- 25:45an abortion and alternative to having an abortion adoption, bless the family with the
- 25:59baby, m the baby be Okay, I think adoption is the biggest one.
- 26:12Okay, that'll work. Okay. So if you were going to leave
- 26:18a special message with all of our reviewers today, what would it be.
- 26:26It goes back to the beginning. We are all fearfully and wonderfully made because
- 26:30our father, and having said so, educate yourself. Everybody, every color,
- 26:36every nation, educate yourself. But for the color community, please educate
- 26:41yourself because color babies are awarded more every year than they are born into the
- 26:48world, and each one teach one. Yes. Now, I understand that
- 26:56you have an organization as well that has to do with abortion. And what
- 27:03is that? Yes, so I do have an organization. It's called Beautiful
- 27:07Messing Me Doula. We are pro life. We do not support nor of
- 27:12recommend abortion. What I do as a postpartum doulas I come alongside families,
- 27:22women and their partners emotionally and physically through the process of postpartum. As a
- 27:29birthen doula, I come alongside and prep her, help her through the pain.
- 27:33I'm like a cheerleader, like you can do this, Like you know,
- 27:37let's go, We're gonna get through this. I'm here for the whole
- 27:40process and to make sure that she confused to have a voice, because sometimes
- 27:47going into labor and being around the hospital and all the different workers, we
- 27:51kind of get intimidated like, oh my gosh, I can't say anything.
- 27:53So I'm there to make sure her voice is heard. That's absolutely amazed,
- 28:00and I tip my hat off to you because it takes a very very strong
- 28:04woman to go through all that you have gone through the process of learning about
- 28:11abortion, then learning how to teach about abortion, and then also incorporating the
- 28:17Word of God with your teachings. I really thank God for your very life
- 28:22just to be the stand up woman that you are. I'm very grateful to
- 28:27have had this opportunity to interview you, and I thank you, thank you,
- 28:33thank you so much for coming on Triggered Reactions Conquered and to our listening
- 28:40audience, I thank you also for viewing with us today. I pray that
- 28:45we have learned something and we need to know that it is not a good
- 28:52thing to not let those children go ahead and be born. So I'm gonna
- 28:57ask mister Star Adam Xander, how can the people get to know you,
- 29:06your organization or any questions they may have. How can they get in contact
- 29:10with you? You can get in contact with me through I have our Instagram
- 29:17page, and my Instagram page is called Beautiful Messing Me Doula and mess fell
- 29:23m e SSI. The reason why it's called beautiful Messing Me Doula is because
- 29:30it is a beautiful mess when we are pregnant and we go through life itself.
- 29:36But it's beautiful because our father in Heaven gave his life. So Amen,
- 29:41that's the way you can contact me. And with that being said,
- 29:45once again, welcome and thank you for joining us here with the Crew podcast
- 29:52and Trigger Reactions Conquered with Lisa Hopkins. I thank my wonderful guest, mister
