- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30We are doing a week of food for thought.
- 0:33Nothing that you have to absolutely buy into, but just
- 0:37some things to think about. And I love taking this time of
- 0:40year and giving myself new ways to think of things.
- 0:44So I've been doing deep dives into lots of different reading
- 0:49in the past month, getting ready for my end of the year and what
- 0:52I plan. And I want to share some of that
- 0:54with you. So today is a thought that I
- 0:58received from somebody. Obviously some of this is, no,
- 1:03not verbatim because it's very challenging to always get exact
- 1:07quotes from stuff when you're just having conversations with
- 1:10people. But one of my mentors said to
- 1:12me, your path is more well lit than you have ever allowed
- 1:17yourself to realize. And I was like, wow.
- 1:20And that was told to me years and years and years ago.
- 1:23And he has since passed away. And when he said that to me, I
- 1:27was like, yeah, right, whatever. OK.
- 1:30And I tossed it aside. But like I said, I love to go
- 1:32deep dives into things, older books, new books, go through my
- 1:37old notes, journals. And this week is going to be
- 1:40based around all the journal stuff that I have dug up from
- 1:43all the events, all the different teachings from all the
- 1:46different speakers, trainers, coaches I've had.
- 1:49And he had said to me, your path is more well lit than you have
- 1:53been allowing yourself to realize.
- 1:57And I was like, what an interesting thought that is.
- 1:59Now as I sit here contemplating how I'm going to put together my
- 2:03next year, what are the things that I'm going to allow myself
- 2:07to think and believe and to, you know, act into?
- 2:10And the fact that there may be a possibility that that path is
- 2:15far more well lit than I have ever realized kind of got me
- 2:19excited when I read it. I said, well, maybe now's the
- 2:22time I'm supposed to be reading this.
- 2:23Because sometimes when we get information like you might hear
- 2:26something on here and it might, you might think this girl is
- 2:28crackers. You know, she's out of her mind.
- 2:30And then you might hear it again a year later and be like, wow,
- 2:34that kind of hit home in this moment.
- 2:36So I like to revisit things, just like trying different
- 2:38foods. You know, the first time you try
- 2:40something, I mean, you might hate it, and then a couple years
- 2:44later you try it again and you might start to like it.
- 2:46I felt that way a lot about different types of sushi.
- 2:49It took me time. Although I will say with peas,
- 2:52I've never learned to like peas. However, other than that
- 2:56situation, I have really developed a taste for certain
- 3:00things that I might not have had otherwise.
- 3:03So this is where the information, you know, comes
- 3:06back around and says is now the time, has the has the lesson
- 3:10finally reached a point where the student can hear it, own it
- 3:14and start to contemplate it? So for me, what does it mean
- 3:18when a path is well lit? Well, I think in this case, I
- 3:23have always known that I wanted to be a teacher and I get to
- 3:26coach. And to me that's a form of
- 3:28teaching and really pouring out into people when you you're
- 3:32speaking helps them really kind of know you and you are that
- 3:37teacher. And this year for me is a big
- 3:40thing is going to be about going out and doing, speaking more,
- 3:43coming off of being, you know, the whole thing about pandemic
- 3:47and staying neutral and staying stationed and not going on the
- 3:51road really stopped me from doing any of that.
- 3:54Plus we were building out the farm at that point in time and
- 3:56that was a lifelong dream I was making happen.
- 3:59And now that it's here and running, there isn't any reason
- 4:03why I can't go back out other than I'm the one that's in my
- 4:06own way. And so when opportunities rise
- 4:09up, I haven't, I have the chance to say yes or no.
- 4:12And recently opportunities have started to arise.
- 4:15So I'm like, oh, this is the way the path is lit.
- 4:18Isn't this interesting? The path truly is lit in this
- 4:21moment. So maybe I do want to consider
- 4:24this. Maybe I do want to find a way to
- 4:25say, OK, I can do this and be feeling that it's effortless.
- 4:31It doesn't have to be a struggle because before it used to be a
- 4:34struggle to me in my head. That's why I didn't want to do
- 4:36it. It was just like, oh, it's the
- 4:38hassle, it's the finding stuff, it's the talking, it's the going
- 4:41out, it's the flying. It's I would make a million
- 4:44excuses when the reality was I was probably just scared to do
- 4:48it. And I can't articulate it now so
- 4:50much from this perspective because I didn't really put a
- 4:53pin in it, but I would guess it was just it was probably as I
- 4:56was just scared to do it. And now I'm not scared to do it.
- 4:59So it's a it's a great consideration and it's something
- 5:03worth visiting because when you recognize that your path has
- 5:06been in front of you and that it's shining and it's like that.
- 5:10Think of it like an airport when you're about to land the plane
- 5:13and the at night and you are flying in, if you've ever I've
- 5:16seen that before, you see all the flashers leading the plane
- 5:20in and it's pitch dark, but there are flashes.
- 5:23You can't see it. It's just those little flashes
- 5:25of light. And the pilot knows exactly
- 5:27where to go. And as he's landing the plane,
- 5:29he's completely confident that his path is well lit and he
- 5:33realizes it and he's safe. And that's exactly what we have
- 5:36to do, my friends. So consider this food for
- 5:39thought this week. All right, my friends, I hope
- 5:41you have a blessed day and I will see you soon.
- 5:44Bye.
