A crop-spraying helicopter crashed just outside Iowa City Wednesday night, but thanks to quick-thinking locals, the pilot was rescued before first responders arrived. Fire crews faced a downed power line blocking access, but still managed to get the lone occupant to the hospital safely. Hazardous fluids and utility line issues were handled swiftly, and the FAA is now investigating. No responders were injured — and a huge thanks to those heroic bystanders who made all the difference.
