- 0:17Speaker 1: mature audience listener discretion. I don't know how to start
- 0:43Speaker 1: this off.
- 0:43Speaker 2: It's just like blankly we say, because I was like,
- 0:46Speaker 2: are you starting us off? For? I was going to,
- 0:49Speaker 2: but then you look like you had something to say.
- 0:50Speaker 1: I felt like I broke. I was like, no, nothing
- 0:54Speaker 1: came out. So here we are. Hey, what's up here?
- 0:56Speaker 2: We are? Wow? That was quite an intro there.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Welcome back to Wicked and Yeah, Yeah, we got some
- 1:02Speaker 1: news today. We're going to keep it fairly short because
- 1:04Speaker 1: last few episodes we've gone on a little bit. But
- 1:07Speaker 1: to start with, we have a website now officially up
- 1:09Speaker 1: and running. Oh my goodness, so check it out Wickedingingrim
- 1:13Speaker 1: dot com. We got a blog on there, we got
- 1:15Speaker 1: links toll our social media including Instagram, TikTok, and we're
- 1:19Speaker 1: starting a YouTube channel so it'll be there as well.
- 1:21Speaker 2: That's so cool. So they could even go and watch
- 1:22Speaker 2: the YouTube video.
- 1:23Speaker 1: They can't. We only have one up and it's not
- 1:25Speaker 1: anything to brag about just yet.
- 1:27Speaker 2: But well, it's just like showing who we are a
- 1:30Speaker 2: bit more our life situation.
- 1:33Speaker 1: So yeah, put a lot of available grease into that website.
- 1:35Speaker 1: So go check it out, go give our blog or read,
- 1:38Speaker 1: and of course listen to all our podcast episodes if
- 1:41Speaker 1: you haven't already. We appreciate you guys and the support
- 1:43Speaker 1: you just put.
- 1:43Speaker 2: That up last week, right, it went live.
- 1:46Speaker 1: It went live I think on Thursday last week, yeah,
- 1:50Speaker 1: or something like that.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Sweet, and this is a U episode And I'm normally
- 1:55Speaker 2: having an alcoholic beverage because I need it, because you
- 1:59Speaker 2: usually pick quite intense cases like I think you did today.
- 2:03Speaker 1: This is the most intense case so far easily.
- 2:06Speaker 2: But I'm drinking a cold juicery.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Yeah, we both got cold juicery again and we just.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Wanted to bring it up one more time because that
- 2:12Speaker 2: discount code wicked fifteen.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Yep.
- 2:16Speaker 2: It's only active for like another week. So if you
- 2:19Speaker 2: were wanting to try the juice and you haven't yet,
- 2:22Speaker 2: now as your reminder to go do that, head to.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Cold Juicery or is it the social media's cold juicery?
- 2:27Speaker 2: Right?
- 2:28Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, so head to Cold Juicery. You can order
- 2:31Speaker 1: online or if you're local Wicked fifteen and you got
- 2:34Speaker 1: fifteen percent off.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a sweet deal.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Boom. So you ready to get into this episode?
- 2:39Speaker 2: I don't know. I almost like, can we talk more
- 2:41Speaker 2: because I'm worried because you've said it's so brude.
- 2:44Speaker 1: This is probably the most brutal case we've covered so far.
- 2:49Speaker 1: So I want to give like a severe trigger warning.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Take our warning at the beginning of the podcast to heart,
- 2:54Speaker 1: like we mean it. I mean, when you're listening to
- 2:56Speaker 1: the Maple Syrup case, maybe not so much, but this one, Yeah,
- 3:00Speaker 1: it's it dives into some really dark torture rape. So yeah, yeah,
- 3:07Speaker 1: just warning about that because this case, because you know
- 3:11Speaker 1: how every case has like it's the murderer's name, the
- 3:14Speaker 1: victim's name, location, all that sort of stuff, and a
- 3:16Speaker 1: lot of time media puts like a nickname to it.
- 3:19Speaker 1: The nickname or title of this case is forty four
- 3:23Speaker 1: days of Hell.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Oh, and I just hate that. I hate everything about it.
- 3:29Speaker 1: And it's very literally forty four days of hell. This
- 3:33Speaker 1: is the case of Junko Faruta. Okay, you're ready.
- 3:40Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean, I think so the amount
- 3:42Speaker 2: of times in a week you remind me that this
- 3:43Speaker 2: is a true crime podcast. I better be ready. I'm ready.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Yeah, you better be because this is nothing short of horrific. Okay,
- 3:51Speaker 1: so fore warning, buckle up your seat belts. Ladies and gentlemen.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Mostly ladies. That's our primary demographic. It is fun fact,
- 3:58Speaker 1: but there are some of you gentlemen out there and
- 4:00Speaker 1: everyone in between and on either end. Buckle up your
- 4:02Speaker 1: seat belts because this is going to be dark.
- 4:04Speaker 2: A bump a rod.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, So let's get into this. So, like I said,
- 4:10Speaker 1: this is forty four days of Hell, the story of
- 4:12Speaker 1: Junko Faruda, and it takes place in November of nineteen
- 4:15Speaker 1: eighty eight, the year you and I were born. Oh yeah,
- 4:18Speaker 1: so we were just little babes.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Little tiny babies.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Junco at the time, however, was not a little babe.
- 4:23Speaker 1: She was sixteen year old years old, so she was
- 4:25Speaker 1: fairly young, but definitely not a baby that young. She's
- 4:28Speaker 1: that young. So Junko was sixteen years old and she
- 4:32Speaker 1: lived in Misato, Misato, Japan. Okay, so there's the Japanese
- 4:38Speaker 1: names in here. I'm sorry if I butcher them. I'm
- 4:40Speaker 1: gonna do my best.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Taking us over to Japan. Hey, this is our first Japan.
- 4:44Speaker 1: But I think this is our first Japanese case. Yeah,
- 4:46Speaker 1: that's cool, and it just so happens to be the
- 4:48Speaker 1: worst one we've covered yet.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Right on.
- 4:51Speaker 1: So, she lived approximately seventy kilometers away from Tokyo. That's
- 4:54Speaker 1: where Misoto or Masato, Japan is located. Okay, She lived
- 4:59Speaker 1: with her parents and she she was a middle child
- 5:01Speaker 1: of two brothers. She attended yeshoh Menemy High School. I'm
- 5:07Speaker 1: sorry again, names. Anyway, she attended that high school, and
- 5:11Speaker 1: she worked at a part time job in a plastic
- 5:14Speaker 1: molding factory during her after school hours for I think
- 5:17Speaker 1: it was about two months as she worked there just
- 5:19Speaker 1: you know, saving money up for graduation, that sort of
- 5:22Speaker 1: thing right after grad We've all been there, you know,
- 5:25Speaker 1: kind of a job ending high school. My first job
- 5:28Speaker 1: was a pizza place, Tim Horton, serving up that good
- 5:33Speaker 1: good coffee. It's not even good coffee.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Anymore, Tim trash, It's not great.
- 5:38Speaker 1: So I was slinging pizzas. That was fun. I got
- 5:41Speaker 1: free pizzas though, that.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Was I actually reaped benefits of that too.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Yeah. So while she was working attending school, she was
- 5:50Speaker 1: a pretty good individual. She kept her nose clean, sort
- 5:52Speaker 1: of sort of speak. She didn't drink, she didn't smoke.
- 5:55Speaker 1: She was fairly well liked by all her classmates. She was,
- 5:58Speaker 1: you know, kind of pretty popular. She high grades very
- 6:01Speaker 1: frequent and uh infrequent sorry absenteeisms. She was also like
- 6:07Speaker 1: a very beautiful girl, very warm and carrying smile, which
- 6:10Speaker 1: only added to her popularity. I think it's like one
- 6:15Speaker 1: of those things, what's that when you graduate valedictorian. I
- 6:19Speaker 1: think she's kind of like valadictorian type material from what
- 6:23Speaker 1: I've read.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Anyways, popular but smart, exactly good head on your shoulders,
- 6:28Speaker 2: very well liked.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Unfortunately, though, her beauty did catch the eye of a
- 6:34Speaker 1: school bully as well. His name, this dude is fucking trash.
- 6:38Speaker 1: I hate say his name, but we are going to
- 6:39Speaker 1: say his name, and I don't give him any more
- 6:41Speaker 1: credit than he needs. But he's Hiroshi Miano, so okay.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Hiroshi was not only a school bully, though, he was
- 6:49Speaker 1: also known to have affiliate ties with the yakuza, which
- 6:54Speaker 1: is not cool. Do you know what the accus is?
- 6:57Speaker 1: You have no idea?
- 6:58Speaker 2: What idea? This is?
- 7:00Speaker 1: Like Japanese gangsters?
- 7:01Speaker 2: Oh okay, I kind of figured something like that.
- 7:03Speaker 1: They're the Eastern equivalent of the American mafia, Like they are.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Hardcore, okay, and he's in his high school and he
- 7:10Speaker 2: has ties to that.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Eh yeah.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Interesting.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Well, the thing is with yakuza a lot of the times,
- 7:15Speaker 1: it's like it's passed down generation generation sort of thing.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Family.
- 7:20Speaker 1: His family, his family most likely had ties, which means
- 7:23Speaker 1: he has those ties and he's leading in that family way.
- 7:27Speaker 1: So yeah. Anyways, they're basically known for like how ruthless
- 7:31Speaker 1: they are, and they regarded as one of the most
- 7:34Speaker 1: sophisticated and wealthiest criminal organizations in the world.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Huh.
- 7:38Speaker 1: So Yukuza, Like if you go to Japan today, Yeah,
- 7:41Speaker 1: you generally want to cover up your tattoos because tattoos
- 7:45Speaker 1: generally show you have ties to criminal activity because the
- 7:48Speaker 1: Yakuza are known for their full body tattoos. Really yeah,
- 7:52Speaker 1: and they're often seen like in very very well dressed
- 7:56Speaker 1: like suits and all this sort of stuff. They're very
- 7:58Speaker 1: sophisticated looking individuals, but they're like fully tattooed, like neck
- 8:02Speaker 1: to ankles.
- 8:03Speaker 2: So if you went you'd have to cover your tattoos.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Yeah, if you have tattoos, you're not allowed in the
- 8:07Speaker 1: bath house in Japan because there's like you know, like
- 8:10Speaker 1: a pool or a hot tub or whatever like that. Right, Yeah,
- 8:14Speaker 1: you can't. They're prohibited if you have tattoos.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Interesting, Okay, learning.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Some new stuff today always Okay. So where am I here?
- 8:22Speaker 1: I've been chatting and I looked away from my list. Okay,
- 8:24Speaker 1: here we go. Okay. So Hiroshi, you know, being attracted
- 8:27Speaker 1: to Junko, eventually approached her and asked her out. But
- 8:32Speaker 1: Junko respectfully declined, which didn't do well for uh Hiroshi's
- 8:37Speaker 1: pride and confidence.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Right, so we'll suck up buttercuts.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I know, right Like this, this dude like fucking takes
- 8:44Speaker 1: it to heart with his reputation.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Yeah, rejection is part of life.
- 8:47Speaker 1: It is. So anyways, you can only imagine like this,
- 8:50Speaker 1: this made him furious. He's pissed because he gets what
- 8:53Speaker 1: he wants sort of thing. Is that kind of guy?
- 8:54Speaker 2: I already think he's an asshole?
- 8:56Speaker 1: Oh he is? Just just wait okay. Anyways, Roshi set
- 9:00Speaker 1: out on revenge against Junco. He didn't really have a
- 9:04Speaker 1: plan of any sorts, but he had. He's like, I'm
- 9:06Speaker 1: gonna fucking.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Get her for this just because she said no, yep.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Just because he turned her down or she turned him down.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Wow, okay, right on.
- 9:13Speaker 1: So on November twenty fifth, nineteen eighty eight, Hiroshi and
- 9:16Speaker 1: his friend, I'm gonna butcher names here. I'm sorry, no
- 9:21Speaker 1: boo rahu minato.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Anyways, it's a facial expression that you have trying to
- 9:28Speaker 2: pronounce it.
- 9:28Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm sorry. No boo haru, no boo, no
- 9:32Speaker 1: boo haru, no boo haaro, I think is how it
- 9:34Speaker 1: is to his friend. Yes, his friend, no boo haru.
- 9:37Speaker 1: We're wandering around town with and this is where we
- 9:41Speaker 1: start kind of understanding the sort of people they are
- 9:43Speaker 1: with the intention of robbing and raping local women.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Sweet.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Yeah, so these guys are fucking assholes.
- 9:49Speaker 2: So is that friend part of the freaking gang thing too?
- 9:53Speaker 1: I don't know how his friends are tied into the yakuza,
- 9:58Speaker 1: or if they are just tied in Yeahiroshi, okay, I
- 10:01Speaker 1: never did find any specific links with that. I do
- 10:05Speaker 1: know his friends are walking down the same sort of path,
- 10:07Speaker 1: whether they are actually tied or they just think that they're.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Like well, that's like really fucked Like who goes downtown
- 10:13Speaker 2: and high school wandering around looking to rape women. It's
- 10:17Speaker 2: fucked up, Like that's brutal.
- 10:20Speaker 1: So anyways, they had a group of friends who had
- 10:23Speaker 1: a history of gang rape, which is fucking gross, and
- 10:28Speaker 1: they recently had actually kidnapped and raped another girl whom
- 10:31Speaker 1: they released afterwards. Wow, so this is a sort of
- 10:34Speaker 1: fucking trash. We're dealing with like garbage human beings.
- 10:39Speaker 2: And they're not getting like caught from that one.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Yep. No, okay, ties to the accused of people are
- 10:45Speaker 1: afraid to speak up or say anything. Even the police
- 10:48Speaker 1: are afraid die. Yeah.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Sweet, it sounds like a really good situation.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Not very much. No, I think your head's in the
- 10:55Speaker 1: wrong space. It's not a good situation.
- 10:57Speaker 2: No, it sounds terrible.
- 10:58Speaker 1: I know it's bad.
- 11:00Speaker 2: If people don't know, my tzark hasn't by now I know.
- 11:06Speaker 1: At eight thirty pm, they spotted Junco riding her bike
- 11:11Speaker 1: home after school as she finished her shift at her
- 11:14Speaker 1: job after school. So this was perfect for Hiroshi, and
- 11:18Speaker 1: Hiroshi in his mind, so he ordered his friend to
- 11:21Speaker 1: attack her.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Okay.
- 11:23Speaker 1: So his plan was that his friend would run at her,
- 11:27Speaker 1: kick her off his off her bike, knocking her to
- 11:29Speaker 1: the ground, then quickly fleeing the scene okay, leaving Hiroshi
- 11:33Speaker 1: to jump in and help her to her feet as
- 11:35Speaker 1: a gentleman and escort her safely home. Oh so this
- 11:40Speaker 1: is the plot that he set up, which I mean
- 11:42Speaker 1: is so he's.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Trying to like win her over still but in it
- 11:45Speaker 2: probably mean something's going wrong way.
- 11:49Speaker 1: We'll get into that in a minute here. But from
- 11:51Speaker 1: the surface, he's trying to be the gentleman, you know,
- 11:54Speaker 1: like and win her over sort of thing in a
- 11:57Speaker 1: very trash, skeevy sort of thing.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, because she wouldn't got knocked off her bike.
- 12:01Speaker 1: If it wasn't for him exactly. So this is like
- 12:03Speaker 1: a typical Hollywood movie sort of thing where it's like, oh,
- 12:06Speaker 1: you know, go do this so I can like swoop
- 12:08Speaker 1: in sort of, Yeah, don't do that. Kid's it's stupid.
- 12:11Speaker 1: It is stupid, but definitely don't do what he does
- 12:14Speaker 1: do because he has other plans in mind than what
- 12:17Speaker 1: you just see on the surface. So, under this pretenses
- 12:21Speaker 1: of witnessing the attack by coincidence, Hiroshi approached Junko helped
- 12:25Speaker 1: drop you know, offer to walk her home, and she
- 12:28Speaker 1: reluctantly accepted.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Oh she should have said, hell no, she should have.
- 12:34Speaker 1: But I don't think it would have changed much in
- 12:35Speaker 1: all honesty.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:37Speaker 1: So they began to walk, but however, she was unaware
- 12:40Speaker 1: that Hiroshi was actually not leading her in the right direction.
- 12:44Speaker 1: He was, in fact leading her to a nearby warehouse,
- 12:47Speaker 1: where he began to reveal his connections to the yakuza.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Okay, specifically to her when she would have turned him
- 12:54Speaker 2: down or whatever. She didn't know.
- 12:56Speaker 1: No, I mean that some people you know, thought and
- 13:00Speaker 1: that sort of thing. There was like, yeah, talk gossip
- 13:02Speaker 1: of it, and he's like.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Specifically, he's like, yeah, so okay, So.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Now she is alone with some fucking dude who's got
- 13:09Speaker 1: all these gang fucking ties, leading her to a warehouse.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Who's a bad guy.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Yeah. So once inside the warehouse, Hiroshi attacked her and
- 13:20Speaker 1: raped her.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Oh yeah, right to it. Oh I want to Oh,
- 13:25Speaker 2: what a nasty mofo.
- 13:27Speaker 1: It's disgusting. And this is only beginning. This is just
- 13:30Speaker 1: the start of this, because.
- 13:31Speaker 2: This is day one and you already gave us that
- 13:33Speaker 2: weird title.
- 13:35Speaker 1: So shortly after, again in a nearby hotel, he brought
- 13:38Speaker 1: her there and raped her again. The whole time he
- 13:42Speaker 1: continued to threaten to kill her, and if she fought
- 13:44Speaker 1: back or tried to run, she was gonna die.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Hmmm.
- 13:50Speaker 1: From the hotel, Hiroshi called his friend Minoto Minato I
- 13:54Speaker 1: think was his last name, his friend who kicked her
- 13:56Speaker 1: off the bike. I'm gonna say Minato because that's his
- 13:59Speaker 1: easier name to say. Okay, and his other friends Joe
- 14:03Speaker 1: Ogura and yash Yasushi Watanbi. I think that's how you
- 14:11Speaker 1: say their names. I'm really struggling with this. I'm sorry. Anyways,
- 14:15Speaker 1: he called his other two friends, so there's a total
- 14:17Speaker 1: of four boys now, and he bragged them about having
- 14:20Speaker 1: junco and raping her.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Wow. Yeah, what a piece of shit.
- 14:24Speaker 1: So one of those friends is also a piece of shit.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Well they all are, but they all I'm sure.
- 14:30Speaker 2: They all are.
- 14:30Speaker 1: But one of his friends in this conversation, when Hiroshi
- 14:33Speaker 1: was bragging about it, he reportedly asked Roshi to keep
- 14:36Speaker 1: her there so he and numerous others could assault and
- 14:39Speaker 1: rape her as well. No, no, yes, that is what happens.
- 14:45Speaker 2: This is like the crowd that they're hanging like. And
- 14:48Speaker 2: these are young boys, like, oh my.
- 14:50Speaker 1: God, these are teenagers. These are high school kids.
- 14:52Speaker 2: I mean, not that it matters the age, but geez,
- 14:55Speaker 2: I think they were.
- 14:56Speaker 1: They were varying age. I think two of them were seventeen,
- 14:58Speaker 1: when was sixteen and one was eighteen.
- 15:00Speaker 2: I think, Oh I wish I had alcohol.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Yeah, you don't. You got to sit through.
- 15:05Speaker 2: This, Oh my goodness.
- 15:06Speaker 1: So around three am, Hiroshi took Juco to a nearby
- 15:10Speaker 1: park where he and his or was where his friends
- 15:12Speaker 1: were waiting. Sorry. By this time, Hiroshi had learned Juco's
- 15:16Speaker 1: home address from a notebook in her backpack as well,
- 15:20Speaker 1: because he was going through things and shit, sweet, they
- 15:24Speaker 1: told her that if that she knew where she lived now,
- 15:26Speaker 1: so if she didn't do what they said, she tried
- 15:30Speaker 1: to run, well, family risk. Your family will die. If
- 15:34Speaker 1: you try and leave, you try and escape, you try
- 15:36Speaker 1: call for help, your family will die.
- 15:38Speaker 2: And honestly, it's like that's probably the truth.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Really probably probably well, I mean, you know, I don't know,
- 15:46Speaker 1: because I mean he might have ties to the Akuza yukuza. Sorry,
- 15:49Speaker 1: but he is a fucking kid, So what is he
- 15:52Speaker 1: gonna do? Run home, tell his dad that a girl
- 15:54Speaker 1: that he was raping got away, so we should go
- 15:57Speaker 1: kill her family.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Like probably him and those three friends though, could go
- 16:02Speaker 2: and do something because he's already freaking pissed off. Oh yeah,
- 16:06Speaker 2: it doesn't like her, so I don't there's a possibility.
- 16:10Speaker 1: There's a possibility, but I don't know if it's a probability. Yeah,
- 16:13Speaker 1: you know what I mean.
- 16:14Speaker 2: I don't know. But then yeah, in that situation, I'm
- 16:17Speaker 2: sure you'd think it was very much.
- 16:18Speaker 1: So yeah, exactly, I'm not I'm not questioning her decisions.
- 16:21Speaker 1: I'm questioning whether his threat.
- 16:24Speaker 2: He actually would do it. Yeah. Yeah.
- 16:26Speaker 1: So anyways, from there, the four boys took her to
- 16:32Speaker 1: you know, I'm going to try and say his first name,
- 16:33Speaker 1: because just for consistency, I've been saying all the other
- 16:35Speaker 1: first names. So here we go Noboo Aru no Boooro
- 16:39Speaker 1: and went to Noboo Aru's house, which became their regular
- 16:43Speaker 1: hangout and Junko's official prison for the next that.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Took her to someone one of.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Their houses, Yes, one of the four boys houses.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Okay, I got really distracted the.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Boy who kicked her off the bike. Okay, so they
- 16:56Speaker 1: took Junko to his house.
- 16:59Speaker 2: Okay, I want to know why I got really distracted.
- 17:01Speaker 2: It's kind of funny actually, because when we're trying to
- 17:03Speaker 2: pronounce words, because remember that one case I did, it
- 17:06Speaker 2: was like Jenna Roo and you just like grew like
- 17:08Speaker 2: we always just added at the ends of our WEE
- 17:11Speaker 2: can't pronounce.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Was I making fun of you on like? Behind the scenes?
- 17:17Speaker 1: Was that on air?
- 17:17Speaker 2: I don't know. I think behind the scenes, I was like,
- 17:20Speaker 2: Jenna Roo.
- 17:22Speaker 1: All right, because you're like, how do I pronounce his name?
- 17:24Speaker 1: Jenna Rooh? And I started laughing at you for it? Okay, anyways,
- 17:29Speaker 1: going and make fun of me. Anyways, they took Junko
- 17:33Speaker 1: to this boy's house where it was now her official
- 17:35Speaker 1: prison and their regular hangout. Oh and once they got there,
- 17:41Speaker 1: of course, they began to gang rape her. So this
- 17:43Speaker 1: is not even twenty four hours and she's been raped
- 17:45Speaker 1: multiple times.
- 17:46Speaker 2: That makes you want to barth, Like that's just so nasty,
- 17:48Speaker 2: that's just so disgusting.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Just wait, just wait. So when no Boo Roo no
- 17:53Speaker 1: Boo Oro, when his parents were around, Junku was forced
- 17:57Speaker 1: to act as his girlfriend what Yes. However, they quickly
- 18:05Speaker 1: dropped this pretense as it became clear that his parents
- 18:07Speaker 1: would not report anything to the police. Why because Noboooru's
- 18:14Speaker 1: parents stated they did not intervene because they were aware
- 18:17Speaker 1: of Hiroshi's Yakuza connections and were afraid for their lives.
- 18:22Speaker 1: That is bullshit, and because their own son was becoming
- 18:25Speaker 1: increasingly violent towards them. Also had a brother who did
- 18:31Speaker 1: nothing to prevent this, which I'm going to assume probably
- 18:35Speaker 1: partook in raping at some point, though I couldn't find
- 18:38Speaker 1: anything on it. That's my assumption. But if he didn't
- 18:40Speaker 1: do anything, I'm sure he didn't just sit back and
- 18:43Speaker 1: not do anything. He probably partook.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Wow, Okay, that is unbelievable.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Yeah, the family did nothing of this girl imprisoned in
- 18:51Speaker 1: the house.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm mad.
- 18:57Speaker 1: It makes me sick to my stomach, honestly.
- 18:59Speaker 2: Yeah, but that's freaking aft. Okay, No, but keep going,
- 19:05Speaker 2: because I'm sure it gets fucking worse.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Oh it does, it does. Remember, this is only like
- 19:09Speaker 1: a couple days in. Hold on, did I get a
- 19:15Speaker 1: date wrong here? You got to go back for a second.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Just check something because I said November. Oh that was
- 19:20Speaker 1: a twenty fifth Okay. So no, I'm good, I'm good, okay, Okay. So,
- 19:23Speaker 1: on November twenty seventh, Junko's parents and police filed her
- 19:27Speaker 1: as a missing person. You know, she's been missing. She
- 19:31Speaker 1: went missing at eight thirty pm on November twenty fifth.
- 19:34Speaker 2: So sorry, her parents.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Yes, Juco's parents. Okay, So on November twenty seventh, she
- 19:38Speaker 1: was officially a missing person. Okay. Some new sources of course,
- 19:42Speaker 1: you know, began to distribute her picture asking for the
- 19:44Speaker 1: public's help, and local authorities began investigating, starting with her
- 19:48Speaker 1: disappearance and last known whereabouts Yeah, which was eight thirty
- 19:51Speaker 1: PM when she left work.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:54Speaker 1: This of course made Heroshi and the other boys a
- 19:56Speaker 1: bit nervous because now everyone's out there looking for her.
- 19:59Speaker 1: So so to get the police off their trail and
- 20:02Speaker 1: halt the investigation, they forced Juko to call her parents
- 20:05Speaker 1: and say she had actually run away and was safe
- 20:08Speaker 1: staying with some friends.
- 20:10Speaker 2: No.
- 20:12Speaker 1: The boys continued with the idea that if she didn't
- 20:14Speaker 1: do so, they would kill her her family, and if
- 20:17Speaker 1: they tried to run like they're going to be hunted down,
- 20:19Speaker 1: the yakuza will get you.
- 20:23Speaker 2: That's really sad.
- 20:25Speaker 1: So this would be the last time Junko spoke to
- 20:27Speaker 1: her parents. I just want to address this, Like, even
- 20:31Speaker 1: though Junko was kidnapped so far, beaten, gang raped over
- 20:35Speaker 1: the course of these past few days, she was still
- 20:38Speaker 1: able to call her parents, keep her composure prevent them
- 20:41Speaker 1: from realizing something was wrong. And say her final goodbye
- 20:46Speaker 1: to her parents to protect all in the name of
- 20:49Speaker 1: protecting her family.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:50Speaker 1: So this right here, Junko is our badass of the day.
- 20:54Speaker 1: She goes through fucking hell and high water all to
- 20:57Speaker 1: protect her family.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Yeah. I am so sad for her, though, I Yeah,
- 21:03Speaker 2: And I just feel like that, Okay, that's just so
- 21:06Speaker 2: sad to have to do that, like get your shit
- 21:09Speaker 2: together when you're like in basically the worst moment of
- 21:12Speaker 2: your life ever, ever imaginable. Yeah, and to phone and
- 21:16Speaker 2: like and you could think it's your last goodbye or whatever.
- 21:20Speaker 1: And she keeps it all together and lets her parents
- 21:23Speaker 1: know that she's safe and make sure that she does
- 21:26Speaker 1: it all just to protect her family. Yeah, that's well,
- 21:30Speaker 1: it's extremely sad.
- 21:32Speaker 2: Yeah, but yeah, that is like really impressive of her.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Yeah. So Junko was our official bad ass of the day,
- 21:39Speaker 1: just throwing that out there.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Yeah. So, with news of.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Juco calling and informing her parents that she was safe,
- 21:45Speaker 1: the police investigation stopped. Oh, they stopped investigating, asking questions,
- 21:51Speaker 1: searching for Juco. She was now an indefinite prisoner and
- 21:56Speaker 1: no hope of no hopes of rescue.
- 21:58Speaker 2: I don't know why that was shocking to me that
- 22:00Speaker 2: they investigat wouldn't be off.
- 22:02Speaker 1: I know, I'm kind of shocked too, because just because
- 22:04Speaker 1: someone says, oh, no, I'm good, Like, really, are you good?
- 22:08Speaker 1: How do we know? How do we know you're not
- 22:10Speaker 1: at some dude's house being forced to say this?
- 22:13Speaker 2: Right? Your parents would still obviously probably be worried, you think.
- 22:16Speaker 1: I'm sure they're worried. But they took her word for it.
- 22:18Speaker 1: She's a really good girl, right, so they're trusting her. Yeah,
- 22:22Speaker 1: so now she's trapped, no one looking for her. The
- 22:26Speaker 1: group of boys continued to hold Juco captive in this
- 22:29Speaker 1: house for forty more days, for a total of that
- 22:32Speaker 1: forty four days.
- 22:33Speaker 2: In hell, that's fucked.
- 22:36Speaker 1: So we're going to get into what happened to Juco
- 22:39Speaker 1: throughout these.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Days, are we really?
- 22:41Speaker 1: Yes? Okay, so buckle up because this is where it
- 22:45Speaker 1: gets back.
- 22:46Speaker 2: No.
- 22:47Speaker 1: No, So, she was of course repeatedly beaten, raped, and
- 22:52Speaker 1: tortured during those forty days. She wasn't just assaulted by
- 22:56Speaker 1: the four boys they shared her with whoever they wanted.
- 23:00Speaker 1: There are some reports of her being raped over four
- 23:03Speaker 1: hundred times by one hundred different individuals. I said, that
- 23:09Speaker 1: really weird. Different individuals.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Holy though, it.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Makes me sick to my fucking stomach that one hundred
- 23:15Speaker 1: different people went there to take advantage of her knowing
- 23:20Speaker 1: was missing, yes, and didn't do anything to help her,
- 23:23Speaker 1: had no fucking conscience and fucking added to her torture.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Those people are just as bad.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Oh fuck yeah, just as.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Bad because like, out of one hundred people, one of
- 23:33Speaker 2: them would be like decent enough to go to the
- 23:35Speaker 2: fucking police say something.
- 23:36Speaker 1: And this is why it leads me to believe that
- 23:38Speaker 1: that one boy's brother was probably raping her as well.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Because a hundred different people approximately were involved in raping her,
- 23:44Speaker 1: I'm sure he was one of them. He's in that
- 23:46Speaker 1: house seeing people come and go. He probably joined in.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Holy shit, I can't even believe that, Like this is
- 23:53Speaker 2: a gang members coming, Like I just can't even believe that.
- 23:56Speaker 1: And the parents are just letting this happen, Holy brig
- 23:59Speaker 1: just letting it happen. All these people come and go
- 24:01Speaker 1: and just take part in this sickening shit.
- 24:08Speaker 2: I'm just like shocked almost, Like that's just I can't
- 24:12Speaker 2: even Yeah.
- 24:14Speaker 1: So, according to the statement of the boys, some of
- 24:16Speaker 1: the things she went through included severe beatings and I
- 24:21Speaker 1: mean severe beatings, often with bamboo sticks. The four boys
- 24:26Speaker 1: shaved her pubic hair, forced her to dance to music
- 24:29Speaker 1: while naked, and masturbate in front of them. Each night,
- 24:32Speaker 1: she was left on a balcony with very little clothing.
- 24:35Speaker 1: And I can imagine people would be seeing this and
- 24:37Speaker 1: just not saying shit.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Well yeah what yeah.
- 24:45Speaker 1: She was force fed large amounts of alcohol, milk, and water,
- 24:49Speaker 1: and near the end only milk. God knows why. But
- 24:54Speaker 1: she was also forced to smoke multiple cigarettes and like
- 24:59Speaker 1: at one sorry, just smoke like shit ton of cigarettes
- 25:02Speaker 1: and inhale paint thinner cigarette burns. Her cigarettes were put
- 25:06Speaker 1: out on her, not just on her but also on
- 25:08Speaker 1: her genitals.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Wow.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Repeatedly, she had her arms and legs soaked with lighter
- 25:14Speaker 1: fluid and lit on fire.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Wow. Wow.
- 25:18Speaker 1: She was hung from the ceiling and used as a
- 25:20Speaker 1: literal punching bag. She forcefully had her nipples pierced with
- 25:27Speaker 1: sewing needles, and she had her left nipple ripped off
- 25:31Speaker 1: with a pair of pliers. This is fucked up.
- 25:38Speaker 2: I know, I don't even know what to say.
- 25:40Speaker 1: Holy shit, like it is so fucked This case is
- 25:46Speaker 1: forty four days of hell for a reason. I found
- 25:49Speaker 1: this case scrolling through TikTok, and once I started researching
- 25:53Speaker 1: it a bit, I just could not believe the shit
- 25:55Speaker 1: she went through. And this is only some of the reports.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I'm sure they didn't say everything.
- 25:59Speaker 2: Yeah, Like I can't even get they literally like obviously
- 26:03Speaker 2: get caught or something at one point, and it's like
- 26:05Speaker 2: they have to tell like police what the fuck they did? Yeah,
- 26:10Speaker 2: Like can they I just can't even imagine that they like,
- 26:14Speaker 2: do they not feel like just they Oh, Like I
- 26:17Speaker 2: can't even I don't think.
- 26:18Speaker 1: They fucking feel anything.
- 26:19Speaker 2: I don't think they're holy shit, Like I feel bad
- 26:23Speaker 2: if I like kill the mouse and had to tell
- 26:26Speaker 2: someone that, Yeah, and they're like doing this kind of
- 26:29Speaker 2: shit to someone and having to like then testify or whatever,
- 26:32Speaker 2: and like they're nasty motherfuckers.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Oh fuck, yeah, they deserve to burn. Actually, because I
- 26:36Speaker 1: did a quick story on TikTok about this, I sum
- 26:38Speaker 1: this all up in sixty seconds, And one of the
- 26:40Speaker 1: comments we got in the video was imagine if she
- 26:45Speaker 1: like passes on and becomes some fucking like spirit or
- 26:49Speaker 1: some something of like some goddess of some sort, and
- 26:52Speaker 1: she's waiting on the other side for these guys for
- 26:55Speaker 1: her vengeance.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I hope so.
- 26:56Speaker 1: I fucking I hope to get something.
- 26:59Speaker 2: I hope that she can get some sort of yes. Wow. Wow.
- 27:03Speaker 1: So that's just some of the torturous parts she went
- 27:05Speaker 1: through as far as beatings. They also, of course, sexually
- 27:10Speaker 1: assaulted her and raped her, sodomized her also with various
- 27:14Speaker 1: objects including lit matches, metal rods, skewers, glass bottles, fireworks, scissors,
- 27:23Speaker 1: and even a light bulb. A fucking light bulb. Holy shit,
- 27:31Speaker 1: that's breaking inside her. Yeah yeah, huh sorry, I fuck. Anyways,
- 27:38Speaker 1: through all this torture and rape, she began to actually
- 27:41Speaker 1: lose muscle function and began to urinate and defecate on
- 27:44Speaker 1: herself as she couldn't control her own body due to
- 27:47Speaker 1: the severe damage and infectious wounds.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Well honestly, like she's probably just wishing that she would die.
- 27:53Speaker 1: She was at times begging for them to kill her.
- 27:56Speaker 2: I could only imagine.
- 27:59Speaker 1: So by the end of December, Junko was severely malnourished
- 28:03Speaker 1: after being fed only small amounts of food and, like
- 28:05Speaker 1: I said, eventually only milk yea. Due to her severe condition,
- 28:09Speaker 1: she lost strength and was even unable to walk because
- 28:13Speaker 1: she was just being beaten so much, maltinourished, and she
- 28:17Speaker 1: eventually became confined to the floor of the boy's bedroom,
- 28:21Speaker 1: in which she was staying at his house. Right on
- 28:24Speaker 1: January fourth, nineteen eighty nine, Hiroshi and the boys were
- 28:27Speaker 1: actually playing Majong Majong. I don't know how if it's
- 28:31Speaker 1: what that is, Majong.
- 28:31Speaker 2: It's I don't even give a shit what they're doing.
- 28:33Speaker 2: It's kind of like a.
- 28:34Speaker 1: Japanese domino kind of game where we lay tiles down fun.
- 28:38Speaker 1: They're playing Majong with Junco, and after losing to her,
- 28:42Speaker 1: they began to once again severely beat her because she's
- 28:46Speaker 1: she's smart. Remember, she knows how, she's very intelligent. Yeah,
- 28:49Speaker 1: she probably whooped their ass of the game very easily.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Still even after like the condition she's in.
- 28:54Speaker 1: Yeah, so the four boys began to kick and punch
- 28:58Speaker 1: her while she's laying on the floor. They ignited candles,
- 29:01Speaker 1: dripping hot wax on her face and eyes. I can't
- 29:08Speaker 1: fucking get over this. I'm sorry. They forced her to
- 29:10Speaker 1: drink her own urine, and through the beating, she eventually
- 29:13Speaker 1: fell into a fit of convulsions. While the boys continued
- 29:17Speaker 1: to assault her, they continued, because this wasn't abnormal, this
- 29:20Speaker 1: happened before.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Wow, Okay, she.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Was bleeding and pus was seeping from her wounds so
- 29:27Speaker 1: much that the boys were actually wrapping their hands in
- 29:29Speaker 1: plastic bags to prevent getting any of her fluids on them.
- 29:33Speaker 2: God, yeah, okay, I feel like I'm like acting very
- 29:39Speaker 2: quiet story, but I'm just like I've my brain just
- 29:41Speaker 2: can't even. I just can't.
- 29:42Speaker 1: I can't wrap my mind around this either. It's so
- 29:45Speaker 1: so fucked up. They continued to beat her, and they
- 29:49Speaker 1: began to again pour lighter fluid onto her her her thighs, arms, face, stomach,
- 29:55Speaker 1: and they set her on fire while dropping dumb bells
- 29:57Speaker 1: on her, like weightlifting dumbells on her her stomach.
- 30:01Speaker 2: Oh, please tell me that's the end.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Junko allegedly made attempts to put out the fire, but
- 30:07Speaker 1: gradually became unresponsive. The attack reportedly lasted up to two hours,
- 30:13Speaker 1: and it left her laying motionless on the floor. Junko
- 30:16Speaker 1: finally succumbed to her wounds, and she died.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Thank God. I can't believe she lasted that long.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Forty four days of hell, and I mean absolute hell.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Absolute hell, Like I don't even think hell is that bad.
- 30:30Speaker 1: No. However, the boys actually didn't realize she died because
- 30:35Speaker 1: convulsions being unconscious was normal. That's how they be Shit
- 30:40Speaker 1: was almost twenty four hours later when they realized she
- 30:43Speaker 1: wasn't just unconscious, but she had died.
- 30:47Speaker 2: I cannot believe that they kept her this long. I know,
- 30:51Speaker 2: And like, I also like, I'm sorry, but I can't
- 30:53Speaker 2: get over the parent situation. Like that parent situation to
- 30:56Speaker 2: me is so unbelievably fucked.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Yeah, like I just don't do it.
- 31:00Speaker 2: The whole thing is. But it's like you're gonna just
- 31:03Speaker 2: let your kid like do this.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Well, let's put this into perspective a little bit here.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Not that I'm agreeing with the parents, don't get me
- 31:08Speaker 1: wrong there, just that sounded like I was going to
- 31:10Speaker 1: I'm not if the parents are putting up with this
- 31:15Speaker 1: with their kid being a teenager now and they're afraid
- 31:17Speaker 1: for their life or the bad shit he's doing. How
- 31:21Speaker 1: did they raise him to start with? If they probably
- 31:23Speaker 1: put in proper fucking parenting, they probably wouldn't have got
- 31:27Speaker 1: to where they are today.
- 31:29Speaker 2: Well, I know, I honestly, like I really I don't.
- 31:33Speaker 2: I feel bad saying this, but you could assume that
- 31:35Speaker 2: they're just shit shit parents.
- 31:37Speaker 1: Well, if they're not doing anything about a girl being
- 31:40Speaker 1: raped by over one hundred individuals brutally beaten over the
- 31:43Speaker 1: course of over a month in your own house, they're
- 31:46Speaker 1: fucking shit humans parents everything.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Yeah, that makes me so ill.
- 31:52Speaker 1: So so within twenty four hours, they actually did realize
- 31:56Speaker 1: that she was dead, not just unconscious.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Oh my god, they deserve a fucking metal They're dumb
- 32:01Speaker 2: ass motherfucker, I know.
- 32:02Speaker 1: But they weren't too concerned with her death because apparently
- 32:06Speaker 1: she became she became too ugly over the course of
- 32:08Speaker 1: the forty four days do her to do to her
- 32:10Speaker 1: severe beating. Wow, And they weren't too upset with it.
- 32:13Speaker 1: They were kind of gross out by her at this point.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Wow. Cool.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Yeah, but they were concerned about getting caught by the police.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Please tell me they do, and please tell me that
- 32:23Speaker 2: they're dead.
- 32:25Speaker 1: We'll get we'll get to that. We'll get to it.
- 32:28Speaker 1: So the boys wrapped up her body and some towels,
- 32:30Speaker 1: shoved her into a duffel bag and put her inside
- 32:33Speaker 1: an oil drum. They began to fill it up with
- 32:35Speaker 1: concrete and dispose of her body on a cement truck.
- 32:42Speaker 2: What does that even mean.
- 32:43Speaker 1: I'm not too sure what disposed of her body on
- 32:46Speaker 1: a cement truck means. I'm pretty sure because they did
- 32:48Speaker 1: find her body eventually, clearly cement. They encased her in
- 32:53Speaker 1: cement inside an oil drum, and then I like, put
- 32:55Speaker 1: that drum on a truck somewhere, probably where there's other
- 32:58Speaker 1: drums filled with cement of something. Any any report I
- 33:02Speaker 1: could find, It was just on a cement truck. That's
- 33:04Speaker 1: all it ever said. So and that was hold on,
- 33:09Speaker 1: hold on, Oh sorry, yeah, okay, So that was that
- 33:13Speaker 1: for the four boys. They basically just went on with
- 33:14Speaker 1: their life. They didn't care about I didn't care about
- 33:16Speaker 1: what they did. Thing happened like nothing happened so much so,
- 33:21Speaker 1: in fact, they continued their assault and violence.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Oh no, you're kidding me. No, dead, seriously, I don't
- 33:27Speaker 2: know why that shocks me, but good frickin' lord.
- 33:30Speaker 1: It was two weeks later the police arrested Hiroshi and
- 33:33Speaker 1: one of his friends, Joe, on a separate gang rape charge.
- 33:38Speaker 1: So they just keep doing it to other people? Wow,
- 33:41Speaker 1: Holy well, they got away with it. Why not do
- 33:43Speaker 1: it again? Because clearly they don't feel a fucking thing
- 33:46Speaker 1: for human beings or anyone.
- 33:48Speaker 2: Oh, they're like scum of earth.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Eh, you'll you'll like this part though, once they're captured
- 33:53Speaker 1: here for these rape charges. Because during Hiroshi's interrogation, the
- 33:58Speaker 1: police mentioned an open investigation even though there wasn't actually one.
- 34:04Speaker 1: They're just using tactics try and get him to talk
- 34:06Speaker 1: about other shit. He's done, right, so we know that
- 34:08Speaker 1: there's a rape investigation. We think you might be tied
- 34:11Speaker 1: to it. They're just using it to get him to
- 34:13Speaker 1: try and talk, right, okay, And believing that his friend
- 34:17Speaker 1: that he was captured with, Joe, who was involved in
- 34:20Speaker 1: Juko's rape, beating, murder, all of that, so believing believing
- 34:26Speaker 1: Joe was spilling the beans, Hiroshi just started talking.
- 34:32Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, he's an idiot.
- 34:34Speaker 1: He is, He's a fucking asshole, douchebag, idiot, every fucking name.
- 34:40Speaker 2: I can every name. Things we shouldn't be saying on here,
- 34:42Speaker 2: even Oh did I just pull my shit out?
- 34:44Speaker 1: I don't know, did you? What did you do? I
- 34:47Speaker 1: don't know.
- 34:47Speaker 2: I was playing with the cord because I need something
- 34:49Speaker 2: to calm myself.
- 34:50Speaker 1: We'll stop playing with the cod I think we're we're good.
- 34:55Speaker 1: So Hiroshie confessed to the whole thing, recounting the forty
- 34:58Speaker 1: four days of torture and told the police where they
- 35:01Speaker 1: could find Juco's body.
- 35:02Speaker 2: And they were probably just like shocked.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Oh fucking freaking because as far as they know, Juco's
- 35:08Speaker 1: just run away.
- 35:08Speaker 2: And say yeah and hanging with friends.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Yeah. So, Originally the names of the four boys were
- 35:14Speaker 1: actually being withheld by Japanese court because they were teenagers
- 35:17Speaker 1: and considered minors. However, a journalist exposed them and publish
- 35:21Speaker 1: their names, stating that after what they had done to her,
- 35:24Speaker 1: they didn't deserve to have their human rights upheld.
- 35:26Speaker 2: In my one percent agree, So.
- 35:31Speaker 1: All four perpetrators were caught. However, I'm sure not all
- 35:35Speaker 1: one hundred were identify. These four boys were the only
- 35:38Speaker 1: ones who were identified.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Okay, none of the other ones were ever got caught
- 35:42Speaker 2: or identified.
- 35:43Speaker 1: No, not as far as I could find in my reports. Anyways, Wow,
- 35:49Speaker 1: so yeah, wow, you're good.
- 35:54Speaker 2: No, because I think all of them deserve to die.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Oh fuck yeah, they didn't have to fucking rot and burn.
- 36:00Speaker 1: So anyways, however, because they were all under age and
- 36:04Speaker 1: they were caught and everything right, were tried as juveniles,
- 36:11Speaker 1: not as adults.
- 36:12Speaker 2: They actually got tried as juveniles. They did saying that.
- 36:16Speaker 1: How so three of the four boys served less than
- 36:21Speaker 1: eight years in jail okay, and the leader, Hiroshi, was
- 36:30Speaker 1: sentenced to seventeen years after his.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Appeal, someone murdered him in prison right hopefully after.
- 36:39Speaker 1: His appeal, though, instead of lowering a sentence, there was
- 36:41Speaker 1: a judge who actually raised his sentence three years to
- 36:45Speaker 1: a total of twenty years.
- 36:46Speaker 2: Okay, well good for that judge, but it should have
- 36:48Speaker 2: been life or show.
- 36:50Speaker 1: I know. The same judge also did increase two other
- 36:53Speaker 1: boys' sentences when they appealed, from five years actually originally
- 36:58Speaker 1: to the eight years, so he did increase sentences as
- 37:02Speaker 1: much as he could.
- 37:02Speaker 2: That is not enough time.
- 37:04Speaker 1: It's not if you do the math, all four boys
- 37:08Speaker 1: are free today.
- 37:10Speaker 2: That yeah, I have done that in my head. They're
- 37:11Speaker 2: walking around and there are probably still complete assholes doing
- 37:15Speaker 2: shit like shit things.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Oh, I guarantee it like that.
- 37:19Speaker 2: One leader says she's probably like full in the gang.
- 37:22Speaker 1: Yep. And I couldn't really find exactly how this worked,
- 37:26Speaker 1: so I didn't like write information on this, but I
- 37:29Speaker 1: can kind of describe it to as best as I
- 37:30Speaker 1: can there was a court order of it was I
- 37:33Speaker 1: believe seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars equivalent to be
- 37:37Speaker 1: paid to Juko's family by I think it was Hiroshi's parents.
- 37:41Speaker 1: I wasn't I couldn't really find a determined specific fact
- 37:45Speaker 1: on it. Yes, yeah, anyways, none of that money went
- 37:48Speaker 1: to her parents, none of it.
- 37:51Speaker 2: Why it went to.
- 37:52Speaker 1: The other three boys who were imprisoned alongside Heroshi instead.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Why because that's just where they gave them money and
- 37:58Speaker 1: the government couldn't do anything about it or didn't do
- 38:00Speaker 1: anything about it or whatever, make any sense. I know,
- 38:03Speaker 1: I know. And once they were let out of prison,
- 38:05Speaker 1: they had this money and they just fucking partied it away. Yeah. Yeah,
- 38:12Speaker 1: So again, don't quote me on that because I couldn't
- 38:14Speaker 1: really find many facts on it. So I'm just kind
- 38:16Speaker 1: of describing what I know, but I couldn't find facts.
- 38:19Speaker 1: So that's what I know. But I don't know for sure.
- 38:24Speaker 2: This is just all around shit.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Hey oh yeah. So, like I said, all four boys
- 38:30Speaker 1: been released from jail by now they're in society. But
- 38:33Speaker 1: while Horohi was still in jail. This this is just
- 38:37Speaker 1: the icing on the cake. His mother went out and
- 38:40Speaker 1: desecrated Juco's grave because she blamed Juco for her son
- 38:43Speaker 1: being in jail.
- 38:44Speaker 2: Are you serious?
- 38:46Speaker 1: Dead fucking serious. So it just goes to show his
- 38:50Speaker 1: fucking family and their attitude.
- 38:52Speaker 2: So he probably got out of jail and just like
- 38:56Speaker 2: right back to it his life. Parents like think he's
- 38:59Speaker 2: fine and everything just fine and dandy and yep, wow wow.
- 39:05Speaker 1: And she probably never would have been found if it
- 39:07Speaker 1: wasn't for Heroshi thinking yeah, any of this and confessing
- 39:12Speaker 1: it all. So they did find her body. She has
- 39:15Speaker 1: been laid to rest, but they probably never would have.
- 39:18Speaker 2: I'm like just like flabbergasted by the parent situation in
- 39:22Speaker 2: this too, Like it's just I just can't even. I
- 39:24Speaker 2: just can't even, Like, am I gonna even be able
- 39:26Speaker 2: to on a scale.
- 39:27Speaker 1: Of one to even, you just can't.
- 39:29Speaker 2: I just can't. I'm just done, just done.
- 39:32Speaker 1: It's it's a brutal case. And that that's that's all
- 39:35Speaker 1: I have for the case.
- 39:36Speaker 2: That's it. I know, sixteen years old only.
- 39:40Speaker 1: Yeah, And to be fair, all the information we have
- 39:45Speaker 1: is all recounts from these four boys, so they could
- 39:48Speaker 1: even be downplaying it. They could have done much worse
- 39:50Speaker 1: to her.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I can't even actually believe that they confess
- 39:54Speaker 2: to that much.
- 39:55Speaker 1: I know, so I'm sure there was an autopsy that
- 39:57Speaker 1: was able to show some but thing the poor thing
- 40:00Speaker 1: still so Juco, Yeah, Juca was our badass of the day.
- 40:06Speaker 1: She went through literal hell and her perpetrators are they
- 40:11Speaker 1: make me fucking sick. Sick. I'm sorry if you guys
- 40:15Speaker 1: actually went through and listened to this whole episode, because
- 40:17Speaker 1: it is it's, like I said, sick, yeah, but we
- 40:20Speaker 1: appreciate you being here, and uh, I don't know, rest
- 40:23Speaker 1: in peace to Junco because that's just terrible.
- 40:26Speaker 2: And I just need to say, I wonder if that
- 40:28Speaker 2: judge who like increased her sentence, if his life is
- 40:31Speaker 2: almost like in Jeopardy too, with the whole like hopefully
- 40:35Speaker 2: everything's okay there because like he's I'm really appreciative of
- 40:38Speaker 2: him too.
- 40:39Speaker 1: Yes, no kidding, but yeah.
- 40:41Speaker 2: A lots of times there's like some okay ish out
- 40:45Speaker 2: comes from a case, and this is just this is
- 40:48Speaker 2: not one of them.
- 40:48Speaker 1: There's a lot of controversy surrounding how these boys were
- 40:51Speaker 1: tried and the very little sentencing that they go, oh yeah.
- 40:54Speaker 2: So that's just it just blows my mind blows my mind. Yeah,
- 40:59Speaker 2: and next week I was going to do like a
- 41:01Speaker 2: pretty intense case too, and I'm I'll just think about that.
- 41:05Speaker 1: You're not gonna do an intense case now, I don't.
- 41:08Speaker 2: I'm just like these poor people.
- 41:11Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, well, I'm not sure if you can
- 41:15Speaker 1: compete with what Junka went through. Ye wasn't even that
- 41:19Speaker 1: bad now, Okay, well we'll find out next time.
- 41:22Speaker 2: Next week anyway, Yeah, thanks for listening it.
- 41:25Speaker 1: Make sure you guys stay wicked, Stay wicked.
