- 0:00Speaker 1: We have to Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where the.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Plays get broken down, then science gets denied it.
- 0:07Speaker 3: I got to come off the Bitch Hour two of.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Off the Bench Live from the Raisin Caines studio.
- 0:35Speaker 4: All right, welcome back in our number two of ot B.
- 0:40Speaker 4: I always want to remind you at our Friends of
- 0:42Speaker 4: Her Rouses go to Rouses dot com today.
- 0:44Speaker 5: A great time to go to Rouses right now.
- 0:46Speaker 4: I mean you got the breakfast bar going on a
- 0:48Speaker 4: little bit later on sushi bar, salad bar. There were
- 0:51Speaker 4: tisserie chickens, pre made meals already ready to go. You
- 0:54Speaker 4: know they're gonna have a lot of local flavor too
- 0:56Speaker 4: at your local Rouses.
- 0:57Speaker 5: That's why you go to the website to find.
- 0:58Speaker 4: Which convenient location you're going to have those weekly specials at.
- 1:02Speaker 4: You also can get hydrated by picking up my high
- 1:05Speaker 4: because they don't forget to bring it to you.
- 1:06Speaker 5: That's only Flynn.
- 1:07Speaker 4: It's going to Rouses dot com today. Doctor Steven natur
- 1:14Speaker 4: Itch joins us as he does every single Wednesday at
- 1:16Speaker 4: eight am here in studio.
- 1:18Speaker 5: Doc How are we doing? How we living doing great?
- 1:20Speaker 6: Doing great?
- 1:20Speaker 5: How's the summertime?
- 1:22Speaker 6: It's good. It's good.
- 1:22Speaker 7: I like common, I got here early, I cruised right in.
- 1:25Speaker 7: The traffic was awesome, you know, there was you know,
- 1:28Speaker 7: no school traffic. It was it was a pleasant drive.
- 1:30Speaker 5: Do we have any any vacations, any trips planned?
- 1:33Speaker 6: So we're hoping to make it to the beach.
- 1:35Speaker 5: Uh, I didn't sound like a lot of con.
- 1:38Speaker 6: Well, well we've got we gotta, we've gotta.
- 1:40Speaker 7: We go over to Port Saint Joe, which low at
- 1:42Speaker 7: Pass Panama City every year for the fourth but you know,
- 1:44Speaker 7: with uh medical conditions at home, we'll we'll see.
- 1:47Speaker 6: We don't want to push it.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Is that, I guess you you kind of grew up
- 1:52Speaker 4: at the beach, so you're like, is that Mexico Beach.
- 1:55Speaker 6: Just past Mexico Beach?
- 1:56Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, same little area, so it's a it's a
- 1:58Speaker 7: they call it the Forgotten Coast, So it's a neat
- 2:01Speaker 7: little area.
- 2:01Speaker 6: So the beaches aren't quite what you get in.
- 2:03Speaker 7: DestinE and thirty A and Panama, but there it's a
- 2:05Speaker 7: little quieter, it's a little wider.
- 2:07Speaker 4: So which I ain't quite over there there there's a
- 2:10Speaker 4: there's a pier in Panama City Beach that for some reason,
- 2:16Speaker 4: Doc nobody goes to. It's public, there's but there's this
- 2:20Speaker 4: little space. It's probably I don't know, six hundred yards.
- 2:24Speaker 4: I mean, it's like this big space that nobody goes to.
- 2:28Speaker 4: And my father in law, I'm gonna make up a
- 2:30Speaker 4: number because he'd be like, don't be telling me my
- 2:32Speaker 4: peer number. So thirty eight, right, we'll say it's pure
- 2:35Speaker 4: thirty three. So he's always like, we're gonna go to
- 2:37Speaker 4: thirty three a today.
- 2:39Speaker 5: That's his joke.
- 2:40Speaker 4: And there's nobody ever ever there, and like they found
- 2:43Speaker 4: this nice little piece and they live like two blocks
- 2:45Speaker 4: from it.
- 2:46Speaker 7: See, I'm hoping that we're not ruining it for for
- 2:48Speaker 7: him or for all. I like to go because uh,
- 2:50Speaker 7: you know, I don't want everybody else to discover it.
- 2:51Speaker 2: So I don't go.
- 2:52Speaker 6: No, don't go there.
- 2:54Speaker 4: That's the worst place. It's the worst place there's I
- 2:58Speaker 4: go there, all right. So you know, when we have
- 3:02Speaker 4: doc on we talk about all kinds of injuries and
- 3:04Speaker 4: acls and ankles and shoulders and different things. I did
- 3:08Speaker 4: want to ask you doc about. So Alden Smith unfortunately
- 3:13Speaker 4: passed away, and Alden was only thirty six years old.
- 3:15Speaker 4: I played against Alden. He was an absolute brick wall.
- 3:19Speaker 4: I didn't know who he was, the first round pick,
- 3:21Speaker 4: but I wasn't familiar with his game because there was
- 3:23Speaker 4: other guys on their defense that we played.
- 3:25Speaker 5: And by the end of it, I was like, I
- 3:26Speaker 5: know exactly who that guy is.
- 3:28Speaker 4: I hit him and it was like a cartoon, you know,
- 3:30Speaker 4: when like you hit something like a feather and he
- 3:32Speaker 4: just kind of like go down to the That was
- 3:35Speaker 4: me hitting Alden Smith on a power. So he was
- 3:37Speaker 4: a great player, had some trials and tribulations, and unfortunately,
- 3:41Speaker 4: like I said, they found him unresponsive in his car
- 3:44Speaker 4: earlier this week in the Bay Area, but his family
- 3:48Speaker 4: said that they're going to have his brain checked for CTE.
- 3:51Speaker 4: And so actually, you know something we've we've talked about before.
- 3:55Speaker 4: So for our listeners and for me too, to be
- 3:57Speaker 4: honest with you, what like what does that mean? What
- 4:01Speaker 4: are they looking for? Like what does a study like that,
- 4:06Speaker 4: like what can it do maybe to even help as well?
- 4:08Speaker 5: Like once you do study the brain.
- 4:10Speaker 7: It's a good question, you know. And and and you
- 4:12Speaker 7: see these things a lot there you go and it's, uh,
- 4:15Speaker 7: it's you know, it's it's it's we see a lot
- 4:17Speaker 7: just in regular medicine every day.
- 4:19Speaker 6: I deal with this at least, you know.
- 4:20Speaker 7: My opinion on a lot of the rationale here is
- 4:22Speaker 7: that we all want the why. Everybody wants a why,
- 4:25Speaker 7: and especially a tragic death. A young, healthy guy, guy
- 4:27Speaker 7: that it looks should still be alive.
- 4:29Speaker 6: He's thirty six. Yeah, you know, I don't know what
- 4:30Speaker 6: happened that.
- 4:31Speaker 7: I don't think they've officially given a cause of death
- 4:33Speaker 7: or anything yet. No matter what it is, it's tragic,
- 4:36Speaker 7: it's awful, it's horrible, and so we all want the why.
- 4:39Speaker 7: So I think that's the first place we all start,
- 4:41Speaker 7: as you know, and I see it all the time
- 4:42Speaker 7: in my office. You know, people come in, My neck hurts.
- 4:44Speaker 7: It's probably because of that car accident I was in. Like,
- 4:46Speaker 7: when was the car accident, Well, it was thirty years ago.
- 4:48Speaker 7: Your neck only started hurting yesterday. It's probably not the
- 4:50Speaker 7: car accent, you know. But but we want to have
- 4:51Speaker 7: some way to connect the dot. So I'm sure his
- 4:53Speaker 7: family's just struggling right now. They want to have connections,
- 4:55Speaker 7: they want to know. It's it's a big topic, the
- 4:57Speaker 7: CTE topic. It's one that's it's probably a little bit controversial,
- 5:01Speaker 7: you know, it's a real thing. It's not I don't
- 5:03Speaker 7: mean to downplay that, right, but the problem with CTE
- 5:06Speaker 7: is you can only diagnose it currently with the biopsy,
- 5:09Speaker 7: and so nobody's biops in the brain when you're alive.
- 5:11Speaker 7: So it's not something we can definitively diagnose. We can
- 5:14Speaker 7: say we think you have it. We can say, look
- 5:15Speaker 7: at the symptoms, look at the career, look at the background,
- 5:18Speaker 7: but you know, what do you even make with that data?
- 5:20Speaker 7: And I think that's the problem.
- 5:21Speaker 6: We don't know.
- 5:22Speaker 4: That's kind of my question, Like, Okay, if you do
- 5:24Speaker 4: find that he did have CTE, Like okay, what do
- 5:27Speaker 4: you do?
- 5:27Speaker 5: Yeah? And then what's the next step?
- 5:28Speaker 4: Because like for you, you're a doctor, Like if you
- 5:30Speaker 4: find something, you want a solution, You want a solution,
- 5:33Speaker 4: and so for like this, it's like, hey had it, Okay,
- 5:36Speaker 4: Well what's that mean?
- 5:38Speaker 5: Like what can we do? Can we do?
- 5:40Speaker 7: And I think it's it's it's a very any And
- 5:41Speaker 7: that's where the controversy comes in because how many of
- 5:43Speaker 7: these guys that if you look, you know, they've they've
- 5:46Speaker 7: now done you know, the biopsies of the brains, They've
- 5:47Speaker 7: done all these different treatments, they've done all these different things,
- 5:49Speaker 7: they've looked at it, they've researched it. But then you
- 5:51Speaker 7: go back and look at a lot of these guys' lives,
- 5:53Speaker 7: the ones when they pass away and in their cause
- 5:55Speaker 7: of death, you know, seemingly had nothing to do with CTE,
- 5:58Speaker 7: seemingly had nothing to do with any symptoms prior to that.
- 6:01Speaker 7: They didn't really present with a storyline that really you know,
- 6:04Speaker 7: And then you know, I think of guys like, you know,
- 6:06Speaker 7: you had Al Gifford who died from colon cancer at
- 6:09Speaker 7: CT according to his biopsy. This is the guy who
- 6:11Speaker 7: was in the public light up until his eighties. I mean,
- 6:13Speaker 7: this was a guy who was broadcasting and doing stuff,
- 6:15Speaker 7: and you know.
- 6:16Speaker 6: Did did he really?
- 6:17Speaker 7: And I'm not calling anyone individually, but he was a
- 6:19Speaker 7: guy that lived a very public life after football. I
- 6:23Speaker 7: have a hard time thinking CT contributed to really end
- 6:25Speaker 7: of his morbidity immortality there. But on the other hand,
- 6:28Speaker 7: his brain said he had it, so so what are
- 6:30Speaker 7: we going to do with all this data? And then
- 6:31Speaker 7: there's other guys where it is more compelling. You're like, oh, yeah,
- 6:33Speaker 7: he had signs of dementia at an early age. He had
- 6:36Speaker 7: all these other things, So it's tough.
- 6:38Speaker 8: So when they when they do the biopsy and they
- 6:41Speaker 8: find CT or find that you had ct what does
- 6:46Speaker 8: that mean? Are they finding like a damage spot, like
- 6:49Speaker 8: physically visible damage spot in the brain. Is it hardened?
- 6:53Speaker 8: Is it soft?
- 6:53Speaker 2: Like? What is it that? Like?
- 6:55Speaker 8: If if I'm looking at a brain, like, what is it?
- 6:58Speaker 8: How do they how do they say?
- 6:59Speaker 2: Yep?
- 7:00Speaker 7: It So a lot of the neurologic conditions, things like
- 7:02Speaker 7: Alzheimer's disease and things like that, sometimes you can't fully
- 7:05Speaker 7: diagnose it. But what you're looking for is like a
- 7:06Speaker 7: specific pattern of these different like different like types of
- 7:09Speaker 7: plaques almost like scarring on the brain. Now, it's not
- 7:12Speaker 7: always quite that simple. It's not to say, oh, yeah,
- 7:14Speaker 7: he got hit there because of you know, that one
- 7:16Speaker 7: concussion he had and there's a scar in his brain
- 7:17Speaker 7: from that. But it's more, you know, you look at
- 7:19Speaker 7: the brain and you see these changes in the brain
- 7:21Speaker 7: where where you know, the best way caon describe is
- 7:23Speaker 7: it looks like scar tissue in the brain.
- 7:24Speaker 6: It's not exactly that.
- 7:25Speaker 7: Simple, but you're looking for and with CTE there is
- 7:28Speaker 7: a very specific pattern. It's not the same pattern you
- 7:30Speaker 7: would see with Alzheimer's, it's not the same, you know,
- 7:32Speaker 7: differences you would see with like a Louis body dementia
- 7:34Speaker 7: or a vascular dementia or all these other types of
- 7:36Speaker 7: dimension neurodegenerative diseases.
- 7:38Speaker 6: So it is a unique pattern.
- 7:39Speaker 7: It is something that seems to definitely have a correlation
- 7:41Speaker 7: with contact activities context sports head trauma. But on the
- 7:45Speaker 7: other hand, like I said, how many of these guys,
- 7:46Speaker 7: you know, even the ones that deal with mental health.
- 7:48Speaker 7: If you look at the percentage of guys that played
- 7:50Speaker 7: in the NFL that had mental health issues, it's really
- 7:54Speaker 7: not that different than the regular male population, even these
- 7:56Speaker 7: horrible cases.
- 7:57Speaker 6: Or here about suicide.
- 7:58Speaker 7: Look for men you know, kind of middle ages is
- 8:00Speaker 7: one of the highest percentages you see of suicide and
- 8:03Speaker 7: mental health issues. So so again, you know, it's it's
- 8:07Speaker 7: a lot of people wanted to draw that conclusion that oh,
- 8:09Speaker 7: he had CTE, he was depressed clearly the same. Well,
- 8:11Speaker 7: I don't think it's that simple personally. That's you know,
- 8:14Speaker 7: other people would disagree with me. Medically, and I'm not
- 8:17Speaker 7: saying that it might not be related. I think there
- 8:18Speaker 7: is some relationship, but it's not as simple as he
- 8:22Speaker 7: had changes on his brain. He had depression, it's because
- 8:24Speaker 7: of that, or he had drug abuse, or he had this,
- 8:26Speaker 7: or he had that, whatever the scenario is. You know,
- 8:28Speaker 7: because a lot of these guys, you go back and
- 8:29Speaker 7: look at their history and I mean, you know the
- 8:32Speaker 7: one that you know they've admitted, show about.
- 8:34Speaker 6: All the Aaron Hernandez stuff.
- 8:35Speaker 7: I think if you hit a troubled life when he
- 8:37Speaker 7: was younger, I have a hard time saying, oh yeah,
- 8:39Speaker 7: hell yeah, I can't. I can't blame what he did
- 8:42Speaker 7: on his his CTE. It just I think that's extremely reckless.
- 8:45Speaker 8: Now, this might be kind of like an ignor ignorant question,
- 8:49Speaker 8: but like and it's it seems pretty like when you
- 8:54Speaker 8: get a concussion, they say it's a brain bruise, right,
- 8:56Speaker 8: So you're getting maybe some sort of damage, inflammation and
- 9:00Speaker 8: on a part of your brain, and you.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Would you would think that's where you got hit.
- 9:05Speaker 8: Some people live a completely you know, some people that
- 9:08Speaker 8: had twelve concussions, okay, you never see any signs of anything.
- 9:12Speaker 8: Some people that might have one or two do show
- 9:14Speaker 8: signs of some sort of mental deterioration or something later
- 9:19Speaker 8: in life.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Is it could it be.
- 9:22Speaker 8: Like location of where the concussion the brain let's say
- 9:26Speaker 8: air quot like brain bruise was, and then the location
- 9:29Speaker 8: on the brain where the CT scarring might be.
- 9:32Speaker 7: Absolutely you know, the the and and even the type
- 9:33Speaker 7: of symptoms you'll see. You know, interesting thing with concussions
- 9:36Speaker 7: is if you talk to ten guys had a concussion,
- 9:38Speaker 7: they're probably gonna give you a slightly different version of
- 9:40Speaker 7: what they felt. It's not all like, oh, I had
- 9:41Speaker 7: a headache and blurred vision. You know, I've seen people
- 9:44Speaker 7: where there extremely emotional after concussion. We had a high
- 9:46Speaker 7: school kid who couldn't stop crying at halftime. You couldn't
- 9:49Speaker 7: tell us why he was crying. He wasn't hurting. It
- 9:51Speaker 7: wasn't like it was just I don't know, I don't
- 9:52Speaker 7: know why I'm crying. I'm not hurting, I'm not upset.
- 9:54Speaker 7: I just I can't stop crying. And so so it
- 9:57Speaker 7: depends on the location of the brain, and so it
- 9:59Speaker 7: depends on the verity of the injury. Obviously, you know
- 10:01Speaker 7: house of a year of a head injury and know
- 10:02Speaker 7: if somebody had a really bad car accidental, they had
- 10:04Speaker 7: a massive head injury that developed a serious concussion, they're
- 10:07Speaker 7: more likely to have some issues But then I think
- 10:09Speaker 7: at genetics is a huge part of it too. You know,
- 10:11Speaker 7: with anything medical, I tell my patients all the time like, look,
- 10:14Speaker 7: you know, if whatever your medical situation is, you know,
- 10:17Speaker 7: if you look at like it's a recipe and in
- 10:18Speaker 7: that bowl, I'm gonna throw your genetics in and if
- 10:21Speaker 7: we're making bread, that's the flower. The genetics is the flower.
- 10:23Speaker 7: It's the main ingredient. Because again that's that's why you
- 10:25Speaker 7: talk to ten guys that have the same present or
- 10:27Speaker 7: same life experiences, but they look very different, they present
- 10:30Speaker 7: very different, they have different things. So the rest of
- 10:33Speaker 7: the stuff that goes in that bowl is going to
- 10:34Speaker 7: be your life experience. Is how old are you, what
- 10:36Speaker 7: kind of injuries have you had, what medicines are you on?
- 10:38Speaker 7: All those things affect everything, so and I think that's
- 10:41Speaker 7: a big part of it too. It's just some people
- 10:42Speaker 7: are gonna be more susceptible to having more complications after
- 10:45Speaker 7: those injuries, and unfortunately, right now we don't really know
- 10:48Speaker 7: how to determine that or what to do about it.
- 10:50Speaker 7: And I guess that's where kind of going back to
- 10:51Speaker 7: our initial question. As we understand more of the brain,
- 10:54Speaker 7: you know, I don't know that this is gonna give
- 10:56Speaker 7: us a cause of his death.
- 10:57Speaker 6: I don't. I don't know, but it's gonna be helpful.
- 11:00Speaker 7: You know, every bit of information we get, if you
- 11:03Speaker 7: used appropriately, can really help us to find answers.
- 11:05Speaker 4: This might be an impossible one to answer too, but
- 11:07Speaker 4: I'm just sitting here and we appreciate you talking about
- 11:10Speaker 4: this because I know some of this stuff's not easy.
- 11:12Speaker 4: But like if you have a tear, you always like
- 11:15Speaker 4: it's to grade one, grade two grade, you know, something
- 11:18Speaker 4: like that. And there's like levels to everything. Like I've
- 11:21Speaker 4: had a concussion where I've played in a game in
- 11:24Speaker 4: the second half, don't remember a single snap about it
- 11:27Speaker 4: and just you know, don't remember it, remember the moment
- 11:31Speaker 4: like right before it happened, don't remember anything. So like
- 11:33Speaker 4: there's that version where you can still go out there
- 11:35Speaker 4: and I guess it's muscle memory.
- 11:36Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 11:37Speaker 4: But then you have the one where it's too a
- 11:39Speaker 4: tongue of by Lowa and I mean he like seize
- 11:41Speaker 4: us up and it's like it's really really scary. So
- 11:43Speaker 4: both of those are concussions, but they have different outcomes
- 11:47Speaker 4: and how your body reacts to it. Is there different
- 11:50Speaker 4: levels to concussions, Is there like more severe concussions or
- 11:53Speaker 4: is there like how does that like how is that
- 11:56Speaker 4: the same injury?
- 11:57Speaker 6: So there are different there's definitely different severity.
- 12:00Speaker 7: And early on with concussions, we really tried to assign
- 12:03Speaker 7: them levels like this is a level one kind of
- 12:04Speaker 7: the same thing. But I think the thing we discovered
- 12:06Speaker 7: is it's hard to do that, especially early on. You're
- 12:08Speaker 7: kind of almost like we're talking about with the bibes
- 12:10Speaker 7: of the brain, you almost can't diagnose how severe concussion
- 12:12Speaker 7: was until after it's over. Because one that doesn't seem
- 12:17Speaker 7: that bad in the beginning, and then then they continue
- 12:19Speaker 7: to have horrible symptoms. Uh and and then you I've
- 12:21Speaker 7: seen guys that you know, I mean one of my
- 12:23Speaker 7: favorite ones, and I want we had a football player
- 12:26Speaker 7: at LSU who had a concussion and it was not
- 12:29Speaker 7: even a football lad. He slipped and fell hit his
- 12:30Speaker 7: head in the shower and and uh ask him. You know,
- 12:35Speaker 7: he comes in the in the locker or the training
- 12:37Speaker 7: room right after it happened, like, hey, you know, can't
- 12:40Speaker 7: answer my question, but just tell me your name. He
- 12:42Speaker 7: looks me squaring that. I was like Lucius Brown, which
- 12:44Speaker 7: was not his name. No part of his name dead serious.
- 12:47Speaker 7: He believed that was his name. And then but by
- 12:48Speaker 7: the next day that guy looked a whole lot better.
- 12:50Speaker 7: Now he was still concussed. We still held him out,
- 12:52Speaker 7: We still the protocol, but I thought the next day
- 12:54Speaker 7: he was gonna look terrible. And I mean the next
- 12:56Speaker 7: day his symptoms were very minimal. And then I've got
- 12:57Speaker 7: other guys that, you know, it seems mild. In a
- 13:00Speaker 7: month later, they're still really struggling. So so so we've
- 13:03Speaker 7: kind of gotten away from really grading them because of that.
- 13:06Speaker 7: There are still some scales out there. Most of us
- 13:08Speaker 7: don't really utilize them. I'll say it was maybe mild, moderate, severe.
- 13:11Speaker 7: It's kind of what I do in the back end.
- 13:13Speaker 7: But you know, it's just so hard to grade them
- 13:14Speaker 7: until they're done.
- 13:16Speaker 8: Helmet technology has improved so much, right, is there a
- 13:23Speaker 8: ceiling to how good it can get? Like you have
- 13:27Speaker 8: the best helmets you've ever had, the technology of the
- 13:30Speaker 8: pad and how it fits out forms, this impact resistance,
- 13:33Speaker 8: all that is there just a certain extent that like
- 13:36Speaker 8: when your brain is going to your head's going so
- 13:38Speaker 8: fast and it just abruptly stops, it doesn't really matter
- 13:41Speaker 8: how much padding's there, like it's just the sudden stop
- 13:45Speaker 8: things rattling around inside that concussions are always going to
- 13:50Speaker 8: be a part, no matter how good the protective technology gets.
- 13:54Speaker 7: I mean, my personal belief is I agree with that
- 13:56Speaker 7: last part. I think helmets are way better, and they'll
- 13:59Speaker 7: probably get better still. I mean, I'm sure they'll find
- 14:01Speaker 7: new ways to make them. I have a hard time
- 14:04Speaker 7: believe and we're gonna get rid of concussions unless you
- 14:06Speaker 7: completely change the game, which I don't think any of
- 14:08Speaker 7: this wants to see. I know, I don't.
- 14:09Speaker 5: I don't know. Look, I would do everything I did again, Yeah,
- 14:12Speaker 5: I would.
- 14:14Speaker 2: That that was gonna be a question too.
- 14:15Speaker 8: Is like you have seen everything from an athletic perspective,
- 14:20Speaker 8: all injuries. Would any of it, especially like the head stuf,
- 14:23Speaker 8: Would any of it stop you from letting someone you
- 14:26Speaker 8: love playing or I.
- 14:28Speaker 7: Mean, my son's sitting over here at camp this morning,
- 14:30Speaker 7: and you know he plays football, He's played football. I
- 14:32Speaker 7: would let him continue to play football. I let him
- 14:34Speaker 7: play the next level. The changes we're making are are
- 14:37Speaker 7: helping the game.
- 14:38Speaker 6: And and look, I.
- 14:39Speaker 7: Always take the the approach of you know, I look
- 14:42Speaker 7: at what football has done for me and I look
- 14:44Speaker 7: at what it's done for other people. I know, two
- 14:46Speaker 7: of who I'm sitting right next to me here. You know, Look,
- 14:48Speaker 7: I wouldn't be where I was today. I'm a doctor, yes,
- 14:50Speaker 7: and and and I'd like to think, you know, I
- 14:52Speaker 7: worked hard to work on my scholastics for that, but
- 14:54Speaker 7: I also learned a lot of.
- 14:55Speaker 6: That hard work.
- 14:56Speaker 7: And I you know, and and and look, ask a
- 14:58Speaker 7: lot of other people I work with. You know, I'm
- 15:00Speaker 7: I worked harder than most of my peers because I
- 15:02Speaker 7: learned that early on, and it was reinforced over and
- 15:05Speaker 7: over and over and and and I think that's a
- 15:07Speaker 7: big part of it. And I think I've seen guys
- 15:10Speaker 7: that had a way worse upbring than I did. I
- 15:11Speaker 7: was very fortunate and the one thing that saved them
- 15:14Speaker 7: with sports and a lot of times football, having.
- 15:15Speaker 6: That in their life.
- 15:16Speaker 7: And and I think there's just so many positives that
- 15:19Speaker 7: you know, there are there are risk it's a violent sport,
- 15:23Speaker 7: but look, life ain't easy either.
- 15:24Speaker 5: So yeah, true, I know we're going along with you,
- 15:28Speaker 5: so we do appreciate it.
- 15:29Speaker 4: As always, you said something that I started thinking about
- 15:34Speaker 4: your You know, everybody wants to know the why, Like
- 15:36Speaker 4: when they come into your office and that makes sense.
- 15:38Speaker 4: It's like I got a torn laboram, Like that wasn't
- 15:41Speaker 4: mean how long I'm out? You got to tell them
- 15:43Speaker 4: the why or I've got this and that is there
- 15:45Speaker 4: an injury.
- 15:46Speaker 5: Still out there today?
- 15:47Speaker 4: That's hard to define the why or like what's going
- 15:51Speaker 4: to happen because for a long time it was a
- 15:53Speaker 4: CL's like twenty five thirty, well thirty five years ago,
- 15:56Speaker 4: like used to in the eighties if you had an
- 15:58Speaker 4: ACL like career ending. Now Patrick Mahomes has one in
- 16:01Speaker 4: December and he's back on the field in May, right,
- 16:04Speaker 4: so like that's completely changed. Is there still something out there,
- 16:06Speaker 4: Doc that you're like, hey, I buckle up because it's
- 16:10Speaker 4: a it's a windy.
- 16:11Speaker 7: Path, yeah, you know, and I think there's a lot
- 16:13Speaker 7: of those. I Mean, the funny thing is you mentioned
- 16:15Speaker 7: one just a moment ago, a labral tear. You know,
- 16:17Speaker 7: you have a laboram and your two ball and sockets
- 16:18Speaker 7: you wants to hip in the shoulder, and a lot
- 16:20Speaker 7: of people have torn laborams.
- 16:21Speaker 5: I know, I'm want to have one right now. Yeah,
- 16:23Speaker 5: I gotta fix and.
- 16:23Speaker 7: I may have more than I know about And a
- 16:25Speaker 7: lot of times a lot of times we don't fix those,
- 16:27Speaker 7: and a lot of times we do. And you know,
- 16:28Speaker 7: if you're and we've learned that, maybe sometimes we fix
- 16:30Speaker 7: too many of them. And so I think, you know,
- 16:32Speaker 7: torn laborams are a lot of them, even still with
- 16:34Speaker 7: the ACL, you know, because everybody sees Patrick Mahomes and
- 16:36Speaker 7: that's what they want their recovery to be. But what
- 16:37Speaker 7: if you had a little cartilage injury with it. That's
- 16:39Speaker 7: a different injury.
- 16:40Speaker 4: So because Malie neighbors right now, you know Heniscous, he's
- 16:44Speaker 4: actually he's going through it right now and he had
- 16:47Speaker 4: to go back in and get scar tissue removed.
- 16:50Speaker 5: I had never heard of that.
- 16:51Speaker 4: So like that's the same ACL injury. You know, everyone's different,
- 16:54Speaker 4: but same one. And he had it way before Patrick
- 16:58Speaker 4: Mahomes and they don't know if he's gonna be ready
- 17:00Speaker 4: for the season.
- 17:00Speaker 7: Yeah, it's and well, I guess, you know, I kind
- 17:02Speaker 7: of said one of the you mentioned later honestly, things
- 17:04Speaker 7: with cartilage, I guess is one that's really tough for
- 17:07Speaker 7: us to know to do with. You know, if you
- 17:08Speaker 7: have an ACA, that's a lot of times it makes
- 17:09Speaker 7: the difference between a guy that that goes on and
- 17:11Speaker 7: plays a long career after and doesn't if if they
- 17:13Speaker 7: had an associated secondary injury, and especially if there's cartilage
- 17:16Speaker 7: stuff involved, those are tough. So I guess if there's
- 17:18Speaker 7: one that I'm gonna probably because people come office all
- 17:20Speaker 7: the time, Johnny, they have you know, they have a
- 17:22Speaker 7: little Carl's wear behind their kneecap and it's just killing
- 17:24Speaker 7: them and they're like what do I do for this?
- 17:25Speaker 6: I'm like, I don't know. You know, it's like I'm
- 17:27Speaker 6: trying everything I got. You know, we're throwing all the
- 17:29Speaker 6: all the stuff.
- 17:30Speaker 7: And yeah, so that may be the one if I
- 17:32Speaker 7: have one. Right now, Yeah, that quick.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Question for you.
- 17:35Speaker 8: LSU's crushing it in the recruiting trail right now. High
- 17:39Speaker 8: school kids. I just signed a couple of six seven dudes.
- 17:42Speaker 8: When they come in, you got to examine them. Do
- 17:44Speaker 8: you have to get a step still?
- 17:47Speaker 7: There have been a few, uh we've got something, oh man.
- 17:52Speaker 7: And it's especially on these basketball guys. They come walking
- 17:54Speaker 7: in and you know, duck into the door and you know,
- 17:55Speaker 7: if I'm trying to examine their shoulders, I'm kind of
- 17:57Speaker 7: up here.
- 17:59Speaker 4: So this is a medical doctor stool, guys. It's not
- 18:01Speaker 4: a story that's right, medical devices. Guys six wanted some change.
- 18:05Speaker 4: He thinks he's a skyscraper over there too, in a
- 18:07Speaker 4: quarter button. Yeah, we looked that up already, Docu the man.
- 18:11Speaker 4: We truly do appreciate you coming every single week. A
- 18:14Speaker 4: lot of great information there, stuff I certainly didn't know beforehand.
- 18:17Speaker 5: So we appreciate it, my pleasure.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Thanks.
- 18:20Speaker 5: All right, we'll step away.
- 18:21Speaker 4: We've got more OTB coming right back your way, of course,

- 19:13Speaker 2: Do you have a construction coptive?
- 19:15Speaker 8: If you've got a construction job outside, make sure you're
- 19:17Speaker 8: calling them and not those big national companies and also
- 19:20Speaker 8: construction projects. Roll up ups are three sizes of the
- 19:23Speaker 8: juice and flat rate pricing right there. Trash Rangers dot Com.
- 19:38Speaker 1: From the locker room to the airwaves gets off the
- 19:41Speaker 1: bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 19:44Speaker 3: We don't even know what we You.
- 19:49Speaker 9: Don't need them, you know, saying no.
- 20:03Speaker 5: These I mean.
- 20:15Speaker 4: Arguably, you know, sometimes we speak out of turn top
- 20:22Speaker 4: five album of all time. Oh yeah, you could just
- 20:26Speaker 4: push play. Let that bad boy rip and you ain't skipping.
- 20:30Speaker 4: You ain't got to skip once.
- 20:32Speaker 2: I guess at the end, run it back.
- 20:35Speaker 10: Now when you say five, do you mean top five
- 20:37Speaker 10: and not five?
- 20:39Speaker 2: That's a good question, good follow up question, Taylor.
- 20:42Speaker 8: So he went from the river still being wet to
- 20:47Speaker 8: the water runs dry. Yeah, so they're boys, men's saying,
- 20:53Speaker 8: don't let it get to be any true.
- 20:57Speaker 5: I mean good R and B music mm hmm.
- 21:01Speaker 4: To me, I just catch the songs that I enjoy,
- 21:04Speaker 4: But like the best R and B is like this
- 21:06Speaker 4: man went through a trial and a tribulation. He went
- 21:09Speaker 4: through all of it, and you hear it.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Sometimes they come out the other side.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:14Speaker 5: Sometimes, yeah, sometimes they do.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Sometimes sometimes it's not. Sometimes it's just sad, but you
- 21:20Speaker 2: also feel sexy even if you're sad.
- 21:24Speaker 11: Yeah, right, I'm feeling.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Like that's not just me.
- 21:29Speaker 5: Right.
- 21:33Speaker 2: You listen to R and B and look in the mirror.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Sometimes you just look a little better in the mirror
- 21:38Speaker 2: than you really do.
- 21:38Speaker 12: It makes me want to do like a be behind
- 21:41Speaker 12: a mic and do like a slide out and then
- 21:44Speaker 12: just like snap as I've seen.
- 21:45Speaker 2: The song with the eyes closed, you gotta close eyes.
- 21:50Speaker 8: Yeah, boys, man, they all went to Julliard?
- 21:58Speaker 5: Did they shut up? Voice? Man?
- 22:00Speaker 9: Man?
- 22:01Speaker 11: Cultured?
- 22:02Speaker 2: God?
- 22:02Speaker 5: Did they need to do? They need to be on
- 22:04Speaker 5: the Burnt CD tour as like a mix up, just
- 22:07Speaker 5: like a mix up. They have too many hits, Okay,
- 22:09Speaker 5: all right, that's fair.
- 22:10Speaker 2: That's fair, that's fair. You can play them in between.
- 22:12Speaker 5: I was being selfish. I was being selfish. I was
- 22:15Speaker 5: trying to get.
- 22:16Speaker 11: That's not the spirit.
- 22:18Speaker 12: I was just trying to We could do Jordan's sparks,
- 22:21Speaker 12: like if you want to have a little R and
- 22:23Speaker 12: B Jordan's sparks.
- 22:24Speaker 2: See.
- 22:25Speaker 4: But the thing is, my favorite Jordan Sparks song is
- 22:26Speaker 4: with Chris Brown. Chris Brown is too big to be
- 22:28Speaker 4: at the Burnt CD tour.
- 22:29Speaker 5: But we can do like a try somebody else.
- 22:32Speaker 8: Maybe I will say that like to us boys to
- 22:40Speaker 8: man deserves their own tour.
- 22:43Speaker 5: I was selfish, now I know.
- 22:46Speaker 8: I think in the court of public opinion for a
- 22:49Speaker 8: lot of people, especially the youths these days, I don't
- 22:53Speaker 8: know if they know them like we do. Certainly, you know,
- 22:55Speaker 8: I go to the the Derby. You know, I didn't
- 22:58Speaker 8: go this past year, but I've been a lot with
- 23:01Speaker 8: my crew of packers and around us a lot of
- 23:05Speaker 8: Dalis celebrities, a lot of d there's no A's, there's
- 23:11Speaker 8: a lot of d We're talking about the Grobes, Josh Grobin,
- 23:15Speaker 8: guy Fiery, Like, we're talking about these guys like you
- 23:18Speaker 8: know them.
- 23:19Speaker 5: Is that you raised me.
- 23:24Speaker 11: Yeah, you can see him in Duluth, Georgia.
- 23:28Speaker 8: For every now and then you'll get like some goods,
- 23:33Speaker 8: but mostly like the goods are athletes.
- 23:36Speaker 2: We could could rock nexto this one time.
- 23:38Speaker 8: But every year there's a couple of members of Boys
- 23:41Speaker 8: Them in there, and so you kind of I'm like,
- 23:46Speaker 8: first year, yeah, second year, it is just like, hey,
- 23:48Speaker 8: what's up to? Who's betting on? Like we put money
- 23:52Speaker 8: on right now? You know, with a big dog them up.
- 23:57Speaker 12: I couldn't name a person from like I obviously I
- 24:00Speaker 12: know Boys to Men and I know the songs, but
- 24:02Speaker 12: I couldn't name any.
- 24:03Speaker 5: Of them members. That's fair and that's fair, and I
- 24:05Speaker 5: think that's.
- 24:05Speaker 2: A good thing m m, because they're just boys and they.
- 24:09Speaker 5: Just care about the band the whole, bigger than some
- 24:12Speaker 5: of the parts.
- 24:13Speaker 11: Like none of them that I looked up.
- 24:15Speaker 12: I know them separately from Boys to Men, you know,
- 24:18Speaker 12: like they don't have like a separate career outside of it.
- 24:21Speaker 5: Like I I know two of their names, but I
- 24:23Speaker 5: don't know all four.
- 24:26Speaker 11: Are they brothers?
- 24:27Speaker 4: Uh?
- 24:28Speaker 5: Because of them are brothers.
- 24:30Speaker 4: I think our cousins are something because there's two morrises.
- 24:35Speaker 8: I can't picture the third the third one I know
- 24:38Speaker 8: is going to be the skinny taller.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Okay, so he's.
- 24:43Speaker 5: I don't know all four of them to be. There's three, Well,
- 24:46Speaker 5: there's there's there's.
- 24:48Speaker 4: Four, but one of the members, the deep voice one,
- 24:52Speaker 4: doesn't travel with the band anymore, Like nothing bad happened.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Mike Base there was four originally he just retired. Yeah,
- 25:00Speaker 2: hold on a second, I thought it was always three.
- 25:03Speaker 4: No, you're forgetting about deep boys. Guy, baby, you know
- 25:11Speaker 4: I love you. Yeah, I said, I didn't mean.
- 25:14Speaker 2: I'm thinking about music videos.
- 25:16Speaker 11: And was a quartet including bass singer Michael.
- 25:21Speaker 5: The bass singer is no longer traveling.
- 25:23Speaker 8: I'm not trying to question your boysman knowledge. I just
- 25:26Speaker 8: a'm thinking about like the music videos.
- 25:28Speaker 4: Like I'm not saying they meant to, but they kind
- 25:30Speaker 4: of would be like, hey, here's the three guys that
- 25:31Speaker 4: can really sing.
- 25:32Speaker 5: And then basis back there.
- 25:33Speaker 4: He's in the corner. He's going to talk to you
- 25:36Speaker 4: for a little bit. He's going to tell you about
- 25:37Speaker 4: how sorry he is, but you're not going to really
- 25:39Speaker 4: see him.
- 25:39Speaker 2: He's behind the stage with the microphone.
- 25:44Speaker 5: When I said what I said, you know, I didn't.
- 25:46Speaker 12: Mean that he was that guy he let the group
- 25:49Speaker 12: in three due to health issues.
- 25:51Speaker 4: He did he did have a cane because he actually
- 25:54Speaker 4: performed with him like a year ago, and he did
- 25:56Speaker 4: have a cane.
- 25:58Speaker 5: I had something.
- 26:00Speaker 10: Having that having that deep voice, though, doing that with
- 26:03Speaker 10: a cane kind of makes it better.
- 26:05Speaker 12: He has back spasms and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
- 26:10Speaker 11: That that explains the cane that sucks.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Based on that sexy voice though.
- 26:20Speaker 4: Can you imagine so now everybody shoots a text over
- 26:25Speaker 4: our DM, but can you imagine voice when you had
- 26:29Speaker 4: to call in the voicemail that that man got to leave? Yep,
- 26:35Speaker 4: he has to be a voice texter. If he's not,
- 26:37Speaker 4: he's missing the mark. Can you imagine like in high
- 26:39Speaker 4: school he was calling to talk to your daughter?
- 26:41Speaker 9: Oh my god, Hey just good, Hey you need to
- 26:47Speaker 9: talk to al she is Hell no, I'm twelve years old.
- 26:54Speaker 10: I'm twelve.
- 26:56Speaker 5: Great voice.
- 26:57Speaker 12: You imagine if that was your SII.
- 27:01Speaker 8: I bet you, I bet you can get you know
- 27:04Speaker 8: how you can like download different voices on ways?
- 27:08Speaker 10: Yeah, I like the I like the the boy band one.
- 27:13Speaker 4: Yeah, I remember that one.
- 27:23Speaker 11: Soccer players.
- 27:24Speaker 5: Soccer player scored a bunch of goals yesterday.
- 27:26Speaker 11: So you were you weren't in here real quick, you were.
- 27:31Speaker 12: I was telling them that I was at Superior last
- 27:33Speaker 12: night and the soccer game was on.
- 27:34Speaker 11: The TV, and I was like, oh, go Mexico.
- 27:37Speaker 12: Nobody corrected me. I was like, hell, yeah, Mexico is
- 27:41Speaker 12: playing Argentina. It was Algeria. Incredibly similar uniforms.
- 27:47Speaker 4: They do in colors and and everything. The flag even
- 27:50Speaker 4: has a lot of the same feel to it.
- 27:55Speaker 11: But I was trying to Yeah, I was trying.
- 27:57Speaker 2: I was watching, watching, they didn't play.
- 28:00Speaker 5: Uh.
- 28:00Speaker 4: Messy scored a hat trick, dude, and thirty his sixth
- 28:05Speaker 4: World Cup. That's he's ever done before and was always
- 28:08Speaker 4: in the m L.
- 28:09Speaker 5: Last week's washed.
- 28:10Speaker 4: He just scored a hat trick in the World Cup, right,
- 28:12Speaker 4: and his first actually scored four.
- 28:14Speaker 5: One got called back for all sides.
- 28:16Speaker 11: He scored four.
- 28:17Speaker 5: He scored four.
- 28:18Speaker 4: Three counted because he was all sides on one. Cherry
- 28:20Speaker 4: pick his first one.
- 28:22Speaker 11: Oh, it's one of the three rules.
- 28:24Speaker 2: It's illegal. Yeah, cherry picking.
- 28:27Speaker 5: They can do it. The third one.
- 28:31Speaker 12: Gain the third one, I can't touch it with your
- 28:33Speaker 12: hands cherry picking.
- 28:34Speaker 11: And don't be an asked, Okay.
- 28:37Speaker 5: That's the third one.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Didn't you have one that covers a lot of things it.
- 28:41Speaker 5: Does, but that's really that's the three rules of soccer. Yeah,
- 28:44Speaker 5: didn't didn't you.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Find that cool messy fact though? Before the show? Yeah,
- 28:47Speaker 2: I was doing some research. Let me look.
- 28:50Speaker 5: Just pissed me off. Please don't say.
- 28:52Speaker 8: No, no, no, it's not He scored a hat trick
- 28:55Speaker 8: twenty years to the day of his first World Cup game.
- 28:58Speaker 5: Okay, thank you. I appreciate you doing that thing.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Thank you. I researched that. I went to.
- 29:04Speaker 8: Uh Taylor sharp dot com researched it.
- 29:10Speaker 4: I heard that website. It's a little Scandalo speaking, age restricted.
- 29:14Speaker 4: You have to present, you have to proof of I
- 29:16Speaker 4: d age verification.
- 29:18Speaker 2: I want to use a VPN. I hate that.
- 29:23Speaker 5: I don't love anything about that much. Boys man, you
- 29:27Speaker 5: know I don't love that at all. All right, yeah,
- 29:31Speaker 5: boys man, shout out, shout out to him.
- 29:34Speaker 2: Replace album.
- 29:35Speaker 5: Oh yeah, buddy, buddy, can't we play horse raids? But yeah,
- 29:41Speaker 5: we're gonna play the all. We'll play Okay, we'll play

- 31:36Speaker 3: Philli steaks.
- 31:36Speaker 4: You can mean.
- 31:39Speaker 5: Yeah, remember that one welcome Back? Yeah, eb, Now this
- 31:47Speaker 5: one wasn't.
- 31:47Speaker 4: This one was on a another album, but the two
- 31:50Speaker 4: that we were talking about it had I'll Make Love
- 31:53Speaker 4: to You on Bend and Knee Water Runs Dry and
- 31:56Speaker 4: Yesterday all the same album. My god, come on, man,
- 32:04Speaker 4: so fair say something for the for the rest of us, guys, Tait,
- 32:11Speaker 4: we get back to sports. I know you've put this
- 32:13Speaker 4: in a document a couple of times, and I know
- 32:16Speaker 4: something that you wanted to hit.
- 32:18Speaker 5: That's good. I always always know when wants to hit something.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Uh.
- 32:21Speaker 5: Trade as Green in his relationship with Lane Kiffin.
- 32:27Speaker 10: Yeah, he did a football camp over the weekend, just
- 32:31Speaker 10: just a kids camp. And actually I got Jacques do
- 32:34Speaker 10: say over to WB was someone that uh interviewed him
- 32:37Speaker 10: and you know he asked him about his relationship with
- 32:40Speaker 10: Lane Kiffen and I mean Green was Green was pretty
- 32:45Speaker 10: open about it. He said, Uh, he's a great coach,
- 32:48Speaker 10: great leader for our team. He's exactly what we've been
- 32:51Speaker 10: missing here. We were just ready to play for our coach.
- 32:55Speaker 10: He gives one hundred percent and we know we're going
- 32:57Speaker 10: to do the same for him.
- 32:59Speaker 2: Now that's all me. Two things.
- 33:01Speaker 10: One, this team really likes bru Lane Kiffin, and two
- 33:04Speaker 10: they really did not like Brian Kelly. I mean, he
- 33:06Speaker 10: said he's a great leader. It's exactly what we've been
- 33:09Speaker 10: missing here, being ready to play for our coach. Like,
- 33:12Speaker 10: to me, that says a lot more about Brian Kelly
- 33:14Speaker 10: than it does Lane Kiffin.
- 33:16Speaker 4: Two do we think that Trade s Green is about
- 33:21Speaker 4: to have a Mackie Award winning type season?
- 33:26Speaker 2: Answer? Answer yes, yes, maybe he doesn't. It's link Kevin's
- 33:30Speaker 2: fault read a thousand times.
- 33:36Speaker 8: He's going to be the most dominant offensive player in
- 33:38Speaker 8: the country if he's.
- 33:41Speaker 2: Utilized correctly outside court.
- 33:45Speaker 5: I agree with that.
- 33:48Speaker 2: He should be Oh yeah.
- 33:50Speaker 5: He should be there. I don't want to like.
- 33:52Speaker 4: At some point I'll stop talking about how bad last
- 33:54Speaker 4: year's schematics were. At some point I will because I
- 33:57Speaker 4: don't want to talk about it. It makes me get in
- 33:58Speaker 4: a bad mood. It's just dumb.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Come on, let's do it.
- 34:01Speaker 4: It's dumb, Like I'll pull up the passing chart and
- 34:04Speaker 4: just rage or hate you computer. I get like Musso
- 34:08Speaker 4: when I see the passing start from last year. You
- 34:12Speaker 4: got to throw the ball more than five yards between
- 34:15Speaker 4: the hashes. Is not illegal, big dummy.
- 34:18Speaker 11: My question is why? Yeah, like though, like why was it?
- 34:22Speaker 9: Why?
- 34:22Speaker 11: Can you tell me why?
- 34:24Speaker 9: Like?
- 34:24Speaker 12: No, I genuinely just don't get why it was so
- 34:28Speaker 12: bad either. What was the reasoning behind I'm gonna make
- 34:32Speaker 12: this the scheme and this is what it is.
- 34:36Speaker 5: The year before, write better?
- 34:37Speaker 10: Yeah, theory, total guess on my part, because again, Joe's
- 34:41Speaker 10: son was there.
- 34:42Speaker 5: I can't wait to hear I know this is literally.
- 34:44Speaker 10: Just a guess on my part. I mean, Sloan was
- 34:46Speaker 10: there in twenty four and else my threw for four
- 34:48Speaker 10: thousand yards. You didn't see that same scheme. Just my opinion.
- 34:52Speaker 10: Maybe they were terrified of this offensive line and said
- 34:55Speaker 10: I want to get it as far away from this
- 34:57Speaker 10: group as quickly as I possibly can.
- 35:00Speaker 4: That's fine, but the quickest way to the end zones
- 35:02Speaker 4: the middle of the football field.
- 35:03Speaker 8: And I get it, that's a good recipe for success playing,
- 35:08Speaker 8: you know, scared.
- 35:09Speaker 10: I just I can't think of another reason because, like
- 35:11Speaker 10: to Jake's point, like the skill position was the exact same.
- 35:14Speaker 8: I think they overreacted to neuss Meyer's injury. I think
- 35:16Speaker 8: that's what it was. I think they overreacted to the
- 35:19Speaker 8: injury or the whatever it was, and they tried and potentially,
- 35:24Speaker 8: to Taylor's point, they might have been a little bit
- 35:26Speaker 8: nervous and said this is clearly they said something on
- 35:28Speaker 8: the offensive lines of a week's spot because they didn't
- 35:30Speaker 8: run power. Clearly they said this, we can't do that.
- 35:33Speaker 8: They couldn't. They said we couldn't, which.
- 35:35Speaker 4: Is a coach from his from his lips to my ear,
- 35:38Speaker 4: said we couldn't run it.
- 35:39Speaker 2: I might Yeah, that's a stupid comment.
- 35:42Speaker 4: What oh It balled my fist up, like yeah, you
- 35:46Speaker 4: can you Arthur, you can't.
- 35:48Speaker 2: Okay, I will say this.
- 35:50Speaker 8: It's hard when you only practice for an hour and
- 35:53Speaker 8: fifteen minutes in training camp, it is hard to get
- 35:55Speaker 8: better at things you're not already good at.
- 35:57Speaker 5: He almost made me curse, like one, we can't say.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Oh well and that things were not good at god Lea.
- 36:07Speaker 4: The defense had to walk through run fits before Clemson
- 36:11Speaker 4: because they didn't get a look in practice before you
- 36:15Speaker 4: played a top ten game. Now Clemson didn't end up
- 36:18Speaker 4: being any good. The defense had to walk through how
- 36:21Speaker 4: to fit their runs because the look wasn't given in
- 36:24Speaker 4: training camp. Training camp is supposed to be hard. Training
- 36:29Speaker 4: camp is supposed to suck. Training camp is supposed to
- 36:33Speaker 4: callish you for the rest of the year. And we
- 36:36Speaker 4: went to a practice and we got our son set
- 36:38Speaker 4: up with some water and a fruit snack. And when
- 36:41Speaker 4: we did that, the practice was over. We didn't have
- 36:44Speaker 4: time to get them set up to sit down to
- 36:46Speaker 4: watch practice, and every person that knew us came up
- 36:50Speaker 4: to us after practice. It was probably four or five
- 36:52Speaker 4: people and knew that we were about to say something
- 36:55Speaker 4: about how short that practice was and like apologize for
- 36:59Speaker 4: how short that this.
- 37:00Speaker 2: Yeah, Kyle Walliams walked up to this.
- 37:01Speaker 8: We looked at it, and before he even got to us,
- 37:03Speaker 8: he's like, don't don't even ask.
- 37:07Speaker 5: That's what it was like, he knew we were going
- 37:09Speaker 5: to say something.
- 37:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 37:10Speaker 12: I like how when Brian Kelly was here, it was
- 37:12Speaker 12: just kind of like whatever, right, we were all giving
- 37:14Speaker 12: Brian Kelly a chance. There is this stuff about the
- 37:19Speaker 12: what wins, but like zero national championships, we were giving
- 37:24Speaker 12: him a chance. There's this stuff about the accent whatever,
- 37:26Speaker 12: who cares, right, But now it's so funny that after
- 37:29Speaker 12: he's gone, everyone's like, man, f that guy.
- 37:33Speaker 11: Stuff is coming out.
- 37:35Speaker 8: Because we want him to be Like I wish he was, yeah, absently,
- 37:38Speaker 8: I wish what that hour and fifteen minutes. I wish
- 37:40Speaker 8: he knew something that everybody else doesn't and it worked,
- 37:44Speaker 8: but it didn't.
- 37:45Speaker 2: Yea.
- 37:46Speaker 10: And to that point, the player who's saying it to me,
- 37:50Speaker 10: this speaks volumes like Tradas is not a guy that
- 37:52Speaker 10: mouths off and media appearances like you get.
- 37:54Speaker 2: To play your interviews. He's nice, he's a little quiet.
- 37:57Speaker 2: He never really says anything controversial. For Trada is green
- 38:00Speaker 2: to say something like this.
- 38:01Speaker 10: You know, every damn player in that locker room feels
- 38:03Speaker 10: the exact same way and even worse doubt.
- 38:07Speaker 4: And you go over there, you go over there now,
- 38:09Speaker 4: And look, I'm not saying they didn't like the coaches
- 38:11Speaker 4: because I don't think it. I don't think it was
- 38:13Speaker 4: that kind of Yeah, it wasn't. That's not why they
- 38:16Speaker 4: were a bad football team. Great Like Garrett loves joke
- 38:21Speaker 4: and he'll tell you to this day. Uh, the team
- 38:24Speaker 4: counts from last year. They have like no issues with
- 38:26Speaker 4: the coach. It's not that I've been in part of
- 38:28Speaker 4: that that sucks. It wasn't that. It just it was
- 38:31Speaker 4: bad coaching. It was a bad coaching job last year.
- 38:33Speaker 4: So it's not that. But I'll say that to say this.
- 38:37Speaker 4: When you go over there now a none but smiles
- 38:40Speaker 4: and a number of vibes and ain't nothing. But we
- 38:44Speaker 4: are so ready. We're having a good time and they work.
- 38:47Speaker 4: That's a that's another maybe a misconception of a high
- 38:50Speaker 4: tempo offense team. I'm not just really talking about Lane,
- 38:53Speaker 4: it's about any high tempo is a they don't really work.
- 38:56Speaker 3: Really.
- 38:56Speaker 4: You go over there, they get you have to spot
- 38:59Speaker 4: the ball in a certain amount of time or you
- 39:01Speaker 4: gotta run.
- 39:02Speaker 11: Well, that's what I'm saying.
- 39:02Speaker 12: I feel like you probably have to work more to
- 39:04Speaker 12: play in a high tempo offense because you have to
- 39:07Speaker 12: like keep that cardio up and just always be moving.
- 39:10Speaker 4: If you if you catch it outside the hash, you
- 39:13Speaker 4: gotta you gotta find a referee.
- 39:14Speaker 5: If you catch it inside the hash, you gotta place
- 39:16Speaker 5: it and get set.
- 39:17Speaker 4: It is.
- 39:17Speaker 5: I've only been to a couple, but it is impressive.
- 39:20Speaker 5: They are working.
- 39:21Speaker 4: Had thrown up yeah, which kind of like Billy Bob
- 39:28Speaker 4: and Barcia Blues Will went threw up because we'll wit
- 39:30Speaker 4: like stow up.
- 39:34Speaker 2: But it's.
- 39:37Speaker 4: I'll tell you what it's. It's a different vibe. Yeah,
- 39:39Speaker 4: and again there was success. You go back two years
- 39:42Speaker 4: ago and I think it was done a different way
- 39:44Speaker 4: for whatever reason, and we'll never truly know.
- 39:47Speaker 5: Just wasn't enough. It was not enough. It was not
- 39:51Speaker 5: enough a year ago.
- 39:52Speaker 4: You cannot not have nine on seven inside run, the
- 39:57Speaker 4: drill and the period that makes your football team on
- 40:00Speaker 4: both sides of the football, and you don't do it
- 40:03Speaker 4: can't happen.
- 40:04Speaker 5: It cannot happen. And then when you get to live bullets,
- 40:07Speaker 5: you're so vanilla in your run game. There's no diversity
- 40:11Speaker 5: to it, and you wonder why you got to practice
- 40:15Speaker 5: it to be great. And we used to practice every run,
- 40:19Speaker 5: every run.
- 40:19Speaker 8: It was bad enough to where they paid fifty million
- 40:22Speaker 8: dollars to stop it, right, like the mind blowing thing
- 40:26Speaker 8: like we talked about ye year over year.
- 40:28Speaker 2: Like before it wasn't as bad.
- 40:30Speaker 8: But this year, for whatever reason, those coaches sat there
- 40:32Speaker 8: in an offensive meeting room every single week seemingly, you know,
- 40:36Speaker 8: right before they got home for dinner, I'm sure, and
- 40:40Speaker 8: they said, yep, this is what we're gonna do and like,
- 40:42Speaker 8: as a collective group, they create a game plan that
- 40:46Speaker 8: was not real football and that and it got so bad,
- 40:51Speaker 8: Yeah that they paid fifty million dollars plus a lot
- 40:54Speaker 8: more to make a change because they got that bad. Yeah,
- 40:58Speaker 8: and nobody can say it was good. Nobody can like that,
- 41:02Speaker 8: even them their coaches. I'm sure they're like, yeah, that
- 41:03Speaker 8: was bad.
- 41:04Speaker 2: We made a mistake, blah blah blah.
- 41:05Speaker 8: I think and there's probably reasons why they would you,
- 41:09Speaker 8: and they would.
- 41:09Speaker 4: Tell you they're being honest with themselves and real quick,
- 41:11Speaker 4: I know we got to break You now have an
- 41:13Speaker 4: athletic director and Birge Osbury that has been calous on
- 41:17Speaker 4: that same practice field. He went through true two a
- 41:20Speaker 4: days on that same practice field. Like when that guy
- 41:24Speaker 4: goes out to practice, he knows what he's looking for.
- 41:27Speaker 8: Let me tell you, callous is from those those days.
- 41:32Speaker 2: Those are more like scars. So let's stick with.
- 41:37Speaker 5: It from the top to the bottom.
- 41:39Speaker 4: You've got people that know what it looks like, what
- 41:41Speaker 4: it's supposed to look like, and that should be exciting
- 41:43Speaker 4: to you as an LSU fan. All Right, we'll step away.
- 41:46Speaker 4: We've got more O t B coming your way. But again,
- 41:49Speaker 4: we gotta tell you about our friends, Tommy's Windows, Doors
- 41:52Speaker 4: inside of them to go, Tommy's g E A U X,
- 41:55Speaker 4: Tommy's with the Why when you go to go Tommy's
- 41:57Speaker 4: dot Com, you'll clearly see the difference.

- 42:26Speaker 3: I'm not play.
- 42:27Speaker 1: Lords, Tigers, turn Talkers. This is off the bench. We belong.
- 42:44Speaker 2: Why do you blame.
- 42:48Speaker 5: You?
- 42:49Speaker 2: He should?
- 42:57Speaker 5: You're right.
- 42:58Speaker 4: It was foolish for me to think they were gonna
- 42:59Speaker 4: make it to the Burnt CD Torio.
- 43:01Speaker 5: Yeah, I was being selfish. I apologize, voiced him in
- 43:04Speaker 5: Silly Guy. I'm sorry, way too many hits. No, this

- 43:24Speaker 5: You turned out just a little bit.
- 43:33Speaker 14: Ob Yeah, got chills and actual chills.
