Like it has to be the funnest book I think I'll ever write. So fun. Like it was a blast to write because it was such a different dynamic than what I'm used to. And the way people are soaking it up, I'm here for it. No, the vibes between Logan and Spencer are immaculate. Perfect. Amazing. and I know, Lauren, that you were very excited about being Spencer. Last time we talked. Spencer was something that you were very excited about doing. I most definitely resonate with Spencer more than Lila for sure. I believe the exact quote was I just wanted to pop a boob out or something. I'm literally bugging. I stand by it. I mean at the time it was a valid complaint. I totally understood. yeah. So this Spencer is definitely not Lila. Spencer has a lot more to say than Lila does. And she's you're she was really kind of driving the story. Like you were you were the instigator a lot of in this in the beginning of this. So how fun was that? Honestly. It was so different from chokehold. And I don't know, man. I I I'm pretty sure that I recorded that book in l in like 12 hours. Like I I flew through it. I had so much fun. And because Atlas and I have done a few books together now, it's a lot easier for me to like hear in my head how he's gonna respond. Yeah. And so I think because of that, the book is even more cohesive. And I had a great I love that book. I had a great time. When it was over, I was like, damn. Like I could never been so sorry that a book was short ever in my life. So sorry. Yeah, I hated it. So bad. I was I was like, Addie more, more now. Yeah. It's two hours is not enough. It's just not enough. Yeah, everyone sad it was over. Exactly, exactly. so Atlas. You we we know that none of us were huge fans of Damien. Were you a bigger fan of Logan than Damien? I don't know, because Logan kind of sucks too. Maybe a little bit worse. I guess maybe worse. I had like the opposite experience to Lauren. I I relate to Logan even less. Yeah, even less than Damien. He's like this corporate asshole. Right? Yeah. I was thinking that the whole time I was listening to it. I was like, wow, this is even less Atlas than Damien. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, he's got, you know, he's got some softness underneath that I I tried to bring out, but but yeah, it's way not me. Not often that I celebrate a male main character falling over. Boy, yeah. He deserved it. I got yelled. I got I got a big earful when that happened. my god, he fell over. My favorite part was when B was messaging me and she was like, I hate Logan. I'm like, just wait. Atlas is voicing him. She's like, my god. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Which is really it's really not fair because you can't really hate someone when Atlas is doing their voice. It really kind of sucks. I still hated him. So Jumbo. Yeah. I didn't I was I was not happy. but Logan Logan served his purpose. He was there to, you know, piss Spencer off and make things interesting. And the story was definitely interesting. absolutely ate it up literally in no time at all. And I know everyone that was that had an ALC was the same way. Like the story was so good. It you literally could not stop listening as soon as you started. Like there was no pause. It was all gas, no breaks. So. I know that this story is maybe not over, Addie. Is that is that right? It is not. So while writing them, I just I was sitting on it and I'm like, I'm in love with them. I am too. I want to know their backstories. What's going on with this? Why is she like this? Why is he like this? I need all the pieces. And then I started thinking on it. I'm like, got the pieces. I'm they're all up here, baby. Ready for this. So I was like, no, I'm not ending this. So yeah, we get a we get a full story on that. No, I I think I think it's really cool. And I I think it's definitely gonna be such a cool story. Like these two are so interesting. Their dynamic is so fun. The banter like the potential for banter between these two alone is absolutely ridiculous. Just ridiculous. And so Atlas, I I sensed a little bit of a familiar character in Logan's driver. Did you did you did you pull from another character for that? Did I can I be real with you? I don't even remember what voice I did. He sounds like freaking Jeffrey Atlas. He sounds like freaking That makes sense. It was amazing. The go-to. The go-to for random old guy. Jeffrey. Then Logan said, I don't know how old he is. I was thinking, well, he sounds pretty fucking old. If you need a nice old he sounds like he shouldn't be driving anything. I mean, he wasn't full Jeffrey. He was like Jeffrey in his like Jeffrey's middle ages. Yeah, like middle aged Jeffrey. He was he was pulled back a little bit, but he's definitely had Jeffrey vibes. So I was gonna message Addy and be like, yeah, half Jeffrey, Poppy. Exactly. He was half Jeffrey. it's a good, like nice old man voice. You guys will know it when you hear it. You'll all hear it. You'll all be like, Yep, that's Jeffrey. Because that's exactly what I thought about. And I was I told B, I was like, I'm gonna message Addie and tell her that she needs to change that character's name to Jeffrey. And I'm so glad Logan wasn't mean to that character because I would have been so angry. Literally. He's the only person that loving's not mean to. Like, your poor assistant, that poor girl. somebody get her something. Yeah. She has a she's had a hard go of it. I was telling B, I was like, yeah, I mean, she's she's not really the best assistant, but damn, he's really mean to her. He was. Funny story, that scene was the first scene I wrote of this book. That checks out. Yeah. Yeah, because it gives you the its slogan vibe. So how do I make this man as unlikable as possible? How do I make every single person that's ever had a boss hate this character? Yeah. Like, yeah. Not only is he like a huge jerk, but he's also like everyone's least favorite boss all at the same time. I mean, at least we know you're a good actor, Atlas. You got this. You did you did great, buddy. Hey, thanks. Like you literally are so mean in this book. so So have you started writing their full story yet, Addy? Are you waiting? Are you still doing other things? Yeah. I'm not. I'm actually just taking a break right now. I saw. I'm glad. I'm proud of you. Me too. I need to reset for a little while. Mm-hmm. So I'm just taking a break. Me and Kristen are on girls' trip and I'm not worried about writing right now, which is rare. I love it. Anytime I do anything, I have my laptop with me and I'm writing. Yeah. I'm not doing that. I feel that. Yeah. I definitely do. We all work a little bit too much, I think. So that's absolutely a hundred percent good for you. And you're just gonna come back. You're just gonna come back with even better stories. thank you. Yeah, your stories are great. so we've already established that you definitely identified with Spencer a lot more, Lauren. Did you are you excited about possibly doing a whole book of Spencer? I would love to do a whole book of Spencer. She's she's so outspoken and like fearless in everything that she does. And she's she's snarky and so she's not afraid to like put a man in his place. And that's a Logan. A Logan specifically. and it's it was it yeah, I would love I would love to get a full length novel of her just talking smack and yeah. Just put it I thrive in a very fiery FMC book. Like that's my gym. Okay. I have to say this. Whenever I I'm not I'm not gonna give anything away, but the one part where they're both in the gym and she's like in the air and like you like wrote it to where she just like falls like right in front of him. Like I had that shit in my head and I was like, that's so badass. So badass. I have the giggle. The giggle that I giggled. Like that was so cool. I was like, yes, Eddie, that's so fucking cool. That was really fun to write too. Yeah. That was fun. I mean, you just made Spencer like everyone's like what we all like wanna be, you know, like you wanna be that kind of like badass who's in control and like, you know, just kind of putting Some people in their place a little bit. She says what you wish you had said in every argument you've ever had. A hundred percent. Like Spencer is the girl in your head, like three hours after you argue with somebody. Like that's Spencer. Everyone's like Logan like says something that looks down on her. She immediately flips it back. It's incredible. Like when he says, You're gonna make me fucking ribb ribbon dance, and she goes, No, I'm gonna make you stretch, and then you're going to. Fucking ribbon dance. Like I fucking like it. Is Spencer a Virgo? You know, I mean, there there are signs, Alicia. There are signs for sure. Nicole said, had the whole class laughing at him. Yes, that killed me. That killed I love that you asked That whole scene was just so good. And it like And the fact that she recognized him for ages before him, and then he was like, She's known for a while. Yeah. Like so good. Spencer's the best. Like we just like we could just want like lots of lots more of Spencer for sure. so you let's see. Were you a little bit frustrated at the end? Were you guys like sad that the story was over? Logan and Spencer's story was over. I mean, you probably didn't know at the time that there was gonna be more, so Did you feel like it was a good story that you wanted to keep going with? Yeah, yeah. Well, I mean it was like a click a cliffhanger. Yeah. And so like it ends and I was like, what the hell? Like it just started getting a little bit nicer. Come on, man. Like we just we just like getting into it. Yeah. It's just starting to get good. It was Yeah, I'm about it. The dynamic is so much fun. Like, do I relate to Logan much? No. But The dynamic is a blast. Yeah. Real fun to play. Yeah. But you yeah, but but a good banter session, like everyone can relate to that. Like a good like back and forth, like that's so fun. And like you at least you don't get to like, you know, really have that kind of banter very often. You know, it's mostly just kind of you and and a and a non A character that's not really there. Right. So it's I bet it is really fun to kind of actually know that you're actually going to be having a real argument and not just you kind of arguing with yourself. Yeah, for sure. I've been told that at some point we need to bring up zombie moans again. I I this was this was not my call. But A lot of people said it. So I'm just gonna say it at some point. We need to talk about the zombie staccato moons. Where is Audrey? He's in the chat. Hey. She's in the basement. Okay, Audrey, we're gonna have to talk about it later. We're gonna have to tell me if that if that scene's still in there. it does need to be discussed. That's right, man. We need to have a talk. For anybody that was anybody that was here with us last year or I say last year, whenever we were here for chokehold, that and Alice and I, the light bulb went on in on like during the interview when we realized what's the context for the stu the zombie. That was literally, it lives rent-free in my brain. I went back and watched it because like That whole night was kind of like a blur because it was so like it was the first time that I had chatted with all of you. And so I was like really just kind of focused on, you know, doing like a good job and like getting through it and everything. And went back and watched that whole like exchange today and I died. B and I were just cracking up tough. Because you guys really didn't know. You were really just no, well, she dropped it so Casually in the chat, and I I'm sitting there, I don't know any of them well at that point, and I'm like, man, she had a bad hookup and she's sharing a lot right now. And we were like, well, and it's funny because it came out of nowhere. I'm talking like the chat had been quiet, and then she drops this lore in the chat, and all of us are like, What the fuck? I love that it's lore. It is now. This is like the You know, just sharing with my friends. Yeah. Just having a chat. Just having a yap session with the with the with the chicks. Yeah, I can't like I kinda. I totally missed it like when when it was on first, but like Atlas's little wait, why when she said you're going to hate me? Yeah. You sounded so scared. my god, it was so funny. Yeah, your little like but wa wait a minute, why? Why? Why am I gonna hate you? Like you were legitimately frightened, Alice. I had to know. You were like, wait, wait, wait. What have I agreed to? What fate awaits me? And you were so excited, Lauren, about the possibility of it being a zombie novel. It was Yeah. Wait, wait, zombies? It was so good. my gosh. Okay, so. Somebody wanted to know what part of the VA's performance were you most proud of? You guys really did, I mean, no, we all joking aside, you know, everything, you guys really did gel in this book. Like you've like your personalities, your voices are really like they've come together so well. We talked about how good you guys sounded together last time, but you know, you do a couple of projects together and you really do start to gel with someone's, you know, the way they talk and everything. So you guys really have done that, blueberry. so yeah, I just was curious if you guys felt that. Did you feel like you like you said, Lauren, you kind of could tell w how Atlas was gonna sound and yeah, bounce that off. Yeah. Yeah, 100%. I think that there's a total cohesion now. You know, Chokehold was the first project that we that we ever worked on. and so we've done a couple now and it's just so much it's I don't know. It's like once you do one or two projects With your scene partner, all of sudden, like, yeah. I don't know, I don't know. But I yes. And when I heard Addy's like teaser, audio teaser, I was like, that sounds really good. It's like Okay. Like pop up Queen. Like you did that. Yes, I'm Spencer. Yeah. Yeah, she is. I'm that girl. Yeah. What about you, Atlas? I know you're, I mean, like, this is How many books now we got like four books now that you've done? Is that right? Me personally? Yeah. God. I I th four or five? Yeah, four or five. Somewhere in there. Yeah. I I I know we're talking a lot in like the next month. So that's all I know. So but yeah, so did you are you did you feel like you were kind of gelling with Lauren a little bit and you know got each other's styles down a little bit better. Yeah, it's it's an interesting thing because even though we we have had the opportunity to work together, I feel like I know Lauren a little better as a person now. We are still pretty like siloed in our individual tasks. So it's this interesting like have and have place of like, yes, I do feel like we're gelling better, but also I still, you know, we're I'm still alone in my box recording all the stuff and hoping it works. It usually does, I think. Yeah. No, it does. It definitely does. It sounds amazing. Yeah. No, you guys sound amazing together. but yeah, I think that's something that everybody deals with when doing duet books or you know, doing narrate you know, narrations like that. You you do. You always feel like, am I really like making this work? But it always makes it always works out. Atlas and Lauren, what character do you think you played the best and why? I guess between Logan and Damien? You're gonna go first. Hmm. I don't know. I feel sorry, I'm still getting over this call. I I think my knee-jerk reaction is to say Damien, and maybe just because he feels like s slightly closer to me as a person. Slightly. because Logan's like so on the other side. Yeah. Although Ma maybe Logan, because I so without spoiling plot, there's beyond the corpo asshole, there is like a secondary dimension. Yeah. I I think he's I I looked at him as I was narrating as the type of person who puts on a front. Like he's very like rough, gruff exterior with everybody outwardly, but inside there's more than that that he Even maybe he himself doesn't like to get in touch with. and he's kind of f forced to. Yeah. Yeah. He's an avoidance. No, I definitely yeah, I definitely think there's more to Logan than than Meets the I and he you know, he is kind of smart a smart ass and kind of, you know, playful and that kind of stuff. So he's definitely had some some stuff to work with there for sure. Yeah, Spencer's like totally his kryptonite. She's like, I see you and I'm not putting up with it. Yeah. Amazing. What an icon. She is a moment. Yeah. She's everything. What about you? I mean, Lauren, I think we all know you yeah, Spencer. I mean, there's something to be said for just loving the character, you know. Lila has a special place in my heart because you get to watch the character development. I think that's the difference, right? the difference is that with Lila you have this this She's really shy and she's introverted and she really just is a homebody, which I do relate to. But there's like you watch over the course of the book this like self-confidence that she gains when she's with Damien versus Spencer, who's been having the self confidence out the get-go girl. And there's no man that right. Yeah. And I you know, honestly, I I think I relate to both of them in different ways. But there's something to be said for getting to play a character that is outside of your norm or getting or like playing a character that you wish you could be, you know, talking about, you know, Spencer is everybody's inner monologue three hours later after a, you know, in a c a conversation. I think it's the same thing. I love getting to play characters that I don't typically get to be in real life. And the way I think that I'm a you know, a a nice person, but getting to be just like this raging bitch is so fun. Like, you know, it's I think that I think Spencer is obviously very bitchy to Logan, but I don't think as a person, I think as a person she seems like a freaking Jim. Like she's so awesome and genuine. Yeah. Yeah, like she gives him a lot of attitude, but it's very justified. Yeah, I agree. I think so too. I did get a question for you for you Atlas. they wanted to know now that you have a couple of books under your belt, what have you learned not to do and what to do when narrating instead of voice acting. god. They also wanted to know what the two of you have learned from working together. So many things. honestly both of the answers are are kind of one in the same for me because I I was able to work with Lauren on nearly every audiobook I've done so far. Exactly. Except for one reading. A lot of the And she she's been very gracious throughout the process and me starting up. She was super helpful, like answering questions and kind of helping me get my my sea legs as I was getting started in the process. So many things I've learned. a lot of the the instincts that I had Just as a character actor coming into audiobooks are are just very wrong for audiobooks. very different. Very different. Very different. Yeah. Like proximity to the mic is not a thing you want to change for an audiobook at all, but it's something I do constantly as a you know, for audio erotica. That's so true. Yeah. whispering. is a thing that is totally different. You kinda have to do like of like a stage whisper almost. Like it has to be voicey so that the audio can be consistent on a technical level. yeah, all that stuff. It's without any sound effects to hide behind. It's it's a much more technical, specific approach to recording acting versus like, you know, when you're just playing a character in a scene and Sorts of imperfections that are maybe good or additive or that you can get away with in a in a situation like that when it's just a voice in silence painting the picture, you have to be like way more careful about. Yeah. Yeah. Lauren, what about you? Have you have you picked up any habits from hearing Atlas narrate or anything that has, you know, really I wouldn't necessarily say a habit, but you know, because we come from two different mediums, right? Like we're in the same industry, just two separate mediums. Yeah. There's working with Atlas has pulled me out of my comfort zone a little bit in order to match. Like he he has to tone down, right? But in order to match him, I have to ramp up a little. Which I think is great for the listeners. Right. And so being forced out of my comfort zone has helped me I think become better in like in spicy scenes because I'm not second guessing myself anymore. You know, like when you first start, that is something that can be it's all it's personal, it's intimate. So like, yeah, I'm in my own little box, but you know, you wanna make sure that whatever your co narrator, like you wanna match their energy as best as you can so that it doesn't sound jarring. And I think that is the main thing. Since we are doing audio eroticas or like, you know, novellas. But yeah. Was that hard for the first time though? Like if you 'cause you didn't know really what each other sounded like while narrating, like the very first time. For me? Yeah. Wha yeah. I mean I didn't I don't think I knew I don't think either one of us knew what to expect. And so I was just like, Yeah, I'm just gonna like go into it and do a little extra. But it's funny L I think I got my first like hate comments because there because there were some parts of the book that like I kind of like fell like just fell off. And it's funny, I mean, I don't I don't care. I therapized my haters. So like it I was like, no, I can see why they said that. Okay, cool, and move on. But like, you know, it's I took what was said and and applied it for book two because I didn't wanna have those repeat comments, you know? And so, I definitely I'm really proud of this performance and I think it's because of the takeaway I got from So Cold. Mm. Yeah. Well, and I think it's it's natural. I mean, you guys are like you said, you're coming from two completely different fandoms. there are a lot of differences between audiobooks and the audio erotica space. I mean, it is all voice acting, but it is all it is As B and I have learned, there's a lot of differences. There's while there are tons of similarities, there are a lot of differences and it is a completely different art form. So yeah, I can see why people who, you know, went to listen to this because they knew who Atlas was was were expecting you to be a d you know, narrate in a certain manner. Yeah. More like they probably were expecting more erotica or you know, AE. Yeah. And that's, you know, but this is still a very I mean, these are still very, very spicy books. So I mean, there's it's still there. It's just not it's just not the same. yeah, but I don't blame you, Lauren. I I think that's one of the things that is it does. It's it's a very different medium, so it's hard to it's hard to convey that to people unless they actually have listened to both and kind of you you kind of see where there's the difference. So I get that, but yeah. I hate that that happened though. Honestly, the the response has been overwhelmingly positive. I mean, like, Atlas's fan base is incredible. and you got to tell me. I d I honestly think that those it was only like a couple of people and I don't even think that they were in the reader space. I think it was probably just something on Instagram. So like I read it and I was like, okay. And then yeah, like we talked about it and then we move on. It's like girl, it's hard. And so, you know. but yeah, like honestly, it's this this experience as a whole has been incredible. And I really have enjoyed doing these the the audio, like the novellas. It's fun to watch each book and these characters play out and how it all connects, right? I mean, it's been a it's been great. 10 out of 10. Yeah. Thank you, Amanda. Yeah, Amanda, thank you. for recognizing Lauren doing amazing work because she does do amazing work. yeah, she does. She's absolutely fabulous. Lauren, you know that. I tell you that all the time, but you're fabulous. You know that. Addie, you know, you kind of talked a little bit earlier this week about, you know, we were talking about, you know, you're kind of taking a break and, you know, kind of working on just kind of relaxing a little bit because you have been going nonstop. girl for like what two years now? I mean, yeah. Like, yeah. So did you feel like you just wanted to s to take a break because you just were overwhelmed with everything? I know people want a lot from indie authors. And I we kind of chatted about that a little bit. And I really would like to kind of talk about that a little bit tonight because I do think it is something worth getting out there. You know, I think Demands are kind of high from you guys sometimes because you do have that such such a close proximity to your readers and we all feel like we can yap at you and send you a message or whatever. And while that's cool, you're a human who can only do so much. So, you know, is that kind of what was going on? Were you feeling that pressure to just kind of put things out and not really? So when I first started writing, I never set out to write. Right. I just started journaling and just started creating stories and never set out to publish. Yeah. It wasn't until Kristen and Alyssa came along and they were like, You need to put this out there. Right. And I was like, Okay, sure. Didn't expect anything of it. With that, I'm saying that because I didn't expect it to go anywhere. So when I had readers who were interested and wanted to read more and wanted to know more of these stories that I was concocting, I'm like, hell yeah, let's go. I'm all in, ten toes down, I'm for it. Yep. And I think I've kind of hit like the burnout era. Like I just I kept going. Like when I tell you when Kristen came last time, I never stopped. Like I don't take breaks. Like I stopped writing one story, I'm on to the next one. I know. And I just, you know, I need time for you. Yeah, you do. You need time for you. You need time for your family. You need time just to breathe. Yeah. And I think that's we've talked about that before. I've talked about that with a lot of narrators. You know, you especially because like in when you're an indie, when you're a narrator, when you're a voice actor, like you are your product. You are what you're putting out there. And what comes back to you is is completely related to what you put out there. And it's so difficult because you guys really are just giving so much of yourselves at all times to everyone. And it does it gets hard after a while. And I think we all go through that, like, well, if I say no, then are they ever gonna ask again? And you know that's so true. real. What if they what if they forget? Yep. What if what if I, you know, like all the would-ifs literally plagued me for while I was writing soap seduction. Yep. And then after I wrote it, I was I talked to Kristen and I'm like, I think I'm gonna take break. And the next day I started writing in hello to goodbye. And then she was like, What happened to that break there, sis? Yeah. Yeah. It's like you it it really does, you have to make yourself like you have to like really just kind of go, no. stop. Like you have to completely remove yourself almost from the situation. And so well I'm glad you're doing that. I think that you know you deserve that break and it's only gonna make everything that comes out of that crazy brain of yours even better. Because you're not gonna be worried about it, you know. And let me just clarify when readers ask authors for more work, that is such an honor. Right. Like I never thought I would get that. Yeah. And that's never a bad thing. It's just the way we perceive it. It's like, my God, I have to fulfill. I have to do it. And it's pressure we put on ourselves more so than what other people put on us. Right. But no, thank you for noticing. Thank you for recognizing that. Yeah, no, it's not intentional. It's not intentional. I don't think anyone sets out to make anyone feel pressure or anything like that. But you know, we again, like you said, creatives oftentimes will put that pressure on themselves. And it's only worse whenever they have the other people going, no, no, we really want you. Hurry, hurry, do it, do it now. You know, like I really want to know. And it's like it's fun, but you know, you you still have that's a lot of work. And that's you putting yourself on the page. So it's it's, you know, it's taxing to do that constantly. Kelly wanted to know, do you, and I guess this is for everyone, do you feel fulfilled and happy with the work you're putting out right now? Lauren, I'll start with you. yeah. yeah. Every book I get better and better. In every book I get to find different ways to bring a story to life. Yeah. I've I've never been in a job that I look forward to. Going to every single day and w wanting to stay later in the booth. You know what I'm saying? Like, yeah, this job is everything. What about you, Alice? Yeah, dude, I for sure. I know I I have that thing that probably a lot of creatives do where I look back at past work and cringe pretty hard. at least right now. I'm I'm pretty happy with the work I'm doing currently. there's certainly more I want to do. I'm I'm a I'm a bad person to talk about taking breaks. I encourage you, Addy, to take one. Yeah, you are. You're like literally the worst. I'm a cough over there. I gotta get this shit done because there's this other thing I really fucking want to do. Yeah, you cough over there. Fine, fine, fine. I'm sorry. I get it. I get it. We're all that way. No, we're all that way. I won't I won't I won't bride anyone in here too hard because then somebody will start talking to me. Kelly'll start getting onto me and I'm just gonna be quiet. So what about you, Addie? Yeah, for sure. I'm really proud. Like I feel I feel good. You should because then I never thought like I said, I never thought any of this would happen. So yeah. Yeah. Yeah, don't let Jeffrey die on us, Manda. Don't let Jeffrey died. Save and live forever. Atlas, I didn't tell you this, but when I was listening to the audio and I'm just listening lati da da da, and then I heard it, I went, Hell yeah. I loved it so much. I was so excited. You you did a lot of like different voices. You've you're you're really you know I was really impressed and it's is it different? I know it's different because you do you're not used to having you do like a lot of different voices when you're but you have with all these books that you've been doing you've had to really kind of mix it up and do like a lot of different like accents and tones and things like that. So are you are you having fun finding new ways to do different characters, Alice? Yeah, I am. I'm I'm having a good time with it. I'm the the people that know me, it's no surprise to them that I'm a giant nerd. so I've played Dungeons and Dragons for a very long time. A nerd. Yeah, big big old nerd. so doing a lot of voices is kind of that's just like me in my bag having fun. That's a Friday night. It does. Yeah. I mean, it the it seems like I'm on this trajectory though where like every book I do there's more masked characters. So like I'm getting forced into this corner where like Are you getting typecast atlas? I don't I don't know. Well no no no I I I mean like like Like amount. Like there's a larger amount of masculine characters like to voice. So I I keep getting I'm getting like backed into this corner. I thought you meant mask, like mask. mask characters. That also. But he's like, of course I'm getting typecast as a mask character. Which one? He's like, duh. god. Sorry, go ahead. Sorry. I so I I feel like I'm getting backed into this corner where like for my own for my own s pride and satisfaction, I guess, I'm like, I have to give every character a different voice. But like the one I'm working on right now, there's like th I don't am I I can't remember if I'm allowed to cuss on TikTok. You can't there's okay, there's fucking like twenty something guys that I gotta do through this book. Yeah. And so many of them are American. And I'm like, I can only sound like an American man so many ways. I'm doing my best. Welcome to being an FMC buddy. You know how many female characters are in every book with these romance books? Like these girls are working it. They are doing like eight different accents in every fucking book. It's okay to recycle voices if it makes you feel any better. Yeah. Yeah. I think I have a couple that are like kind of the same affectation, but like in a different register because I'm like I just out of ideas. Yeah. You have to. I mean, it's just there's like you said, there's only so many ways you can do it. And especially if it's some dude who like literally has like two lines in the whole book. Yeah. Although that has come back to bite some people. I've talked to a lot of people who are like Yeah, I just did this like really hard voice because this guy only had like two lines and then like two books later he was like the MMC and he's like, well shit. Yup. I guess I gotta do that again for a lot longer. So yeah, you gotta be careful. You gotta be careful. my god. Anybody I'm sorry, you guys, this chat is flying. Does anyone else have any questions? Let me go back and see if I see any. Addie, did you have any questions for your voice actors? I don't have a question. They just nailed it. Right. Like they absolutely nailed it and went above and beyond my expectations. Right. Like listening to it, I was a giddy little schoolgirl. I'm like, holy shit, Lauren brought all of this ass, which I knew she would. Yeah. I knew she would. It was bound to happen. You could hear how much fun she was having. Like it was literally like You could hear it. Character was made for her. So really so good. I love my favorite thing when I when especially when I fall into a a a character that I really resonate with and have fun with, I getting messages from my authors is my favorite thing. Like my the dopamine hit of the day. So when Addy was in was texting me, like as she was listening through, nothing's better. Like you can't like nobody can tell me shit when my authors c you know, start raving about the pro like the project and my DMs. It's my favorite thing. So like that's one of the that's one of the reasons why B and I are so committed to like messaging people when we're listening to stuff because we know, like we know how cool it is to hear when you're do when you know, when someone's enjoying something that you've done. Like it just it's everything. Like it just it means the world. so yeah, we we try to be really good about letting people know, you know, when we've listened to something and if we liked it and that kind of stuff. So yeah. I do warn people a lot, like about my conductor. just so you're aware, if you're like you're talking to me now, so be prepared. By the way, I will be screeching in your inbox. I know you're gonna kill me for saying this, B, but we need to talk about B's artwork because it works. Yes, we do fan fucking tastic. That was amazing. Incredible. Look at her. Come back here. Come back here. I know. I know B, but babe, it was a it was fantastic. You have to let it be fantastic. You have to let us compliment you. It's the rule. She's not. She's she's Step back into frame and be treasured. You're praying. Get back here. Be treasured, B. Thank you. I'm British. We don't like that. Thank you. Whatever. You're so full of it. Poppy did ask Addy, you pack so much emotion into these novellas, right? Are you liking a shorter format? Okay, so when I first started writing these novellas, I was terrified because I'm like, how the fuck am I supposed to put like character to these characters? I have no time because I'm such a long-winded writer. Yeah. But it's actually been it's been a different kind of challenge that I wasn't prepared for, to be honest. But it's been really fun. Yeah. Yeah. No, it's you but you I think you figured it out. Like you figured out a way to pack so much character into these like tiny little 'cause because what you do is you just take these tiny little slices. You don't you don't get bogged down in the minutia the story. You you it's like you go from scene to scene to scene and it just it just seamlessly runs together and it even though it it's shorter, it doesn't feel shorter the way that you do it. So I you you just do it really, really well. Like the emotions I wasn't expecting to have with chokehold. It was like yeah. And yeah, exactly. Cause like you do you go into you go into these books with a s with certain expectations because obviously that's the expectations that you put out there is that these are you know one night stands they're novellas they're short they're meant to be just like an experience but girl you put a lot of character and and you know arc into these short stories so you know it's it's pretty crazy. That actually means so much to me. Cause I tried really hard to do that to make it more than just you know a little snippet. It is. I really appreciate that. No, I know. You make us obsessed with the characters. Like literally. I mean I just two hours. I'm obsessed with Spencer. Like two hours and I want to be her, like forever. Same. I I that's that's incredible, Addie. It really is. And show called almost had me crying. I was like, This isn't fair. Yeah. And I get what Lauren was saying, you know, about about Lila because like she said, you know. Lila did have more of an arc. She did change more throughout the course of that, you know, novella. Whereas Spencer, like you said, just kind of is Spencer. Yeah. And she's already kind of gotten there. Like Logan was the one that had the arc. He ha yeah, he had the character development this time. Right. That's a good point. But that's one of the the reasons why this is so special because Sook Seduction is not choked to. It's a completely different story. It's a completely different the way that you did it it's not it's not like this is just another chokehold it's it's so much more than that and I think that's one of the reasons I think that's one of the reasons why you want to make it longer because you realize that it's more than that. You're gonna make me cry. She's about to y'all back. She's about to cry. You know I love you. And I I'm I'm proud of you. We love you. We love you so much. And I'm so freaking proud of you. Thank you. I'm emotional, sorry. It's okay. You can be emotional. It's been an emotional day, trust me, I know. I'm trying to make a puzzle. Hold on, guys. Okay, cool. Puzzle. Yeah, I have had to do a puzzle. Manda, my God, are you kidding me? What is going on? A puzzle again? Okay. Amanda wanted to know, can I ask for one thing each of you are proud of yourselves for? Lauren? Mm, probably my own character development since starting this career. Like yeah, yeah. I think there's something to be said for finding yourself and having a creative outlet that lets you truly I don't know help help you find yourself. And I think that I am a much better and happier person since I discovered this industry and the only way to go from here is up. And I'm really proud of how far I've come so far. And I will agree. I think that you you've always been amazing, Lauren. You've always been sweet. You've always been kind, but your happiness like just flows out of you now. Like you can tell that you're always just like giddy and excited to do whatever you're gonna do that day. And like, yeah, that just radiates. So it's cool when people are doing what they love. what about you, Alice? What are you proud of? Man, I think my answer's similar, but I maybe because I still feel like I'm kind of at the beginning, like just getting here at all. God's about to get real busy, bud. It's all it's I cannot express to you how fucking busy it already is. I know, and I feel for you because You are only making it more less. It's gonna get worse. God, yeah. So much of my life was was just like interest in creative pursuits and dreaming about what it would be like to achieve some level of success or like get to do that for work, you know, like not have to do a whatever nine to five, put on a suit and go to an office or, you know, whatever. And for a long time it was, you know, music and then that kinda just didn't go. and then acting became a thing and I kinda like Addie when she started writing how she said she didn't really expect anything of it. I was in a similar mindset about acting. I was like, This is something I just wanna do. Like this is something that I just love. I really enjoy. And you know, maybe if I get lucky, it'll get to be like a I don't know, I'll make like some decent pocket change or something. You know, grab a book a gig here and there. And now, you know, a year and change into doing that, it's my full time job. And that's fucking cool. It's fucking cool. It's really cool. And you have done it being very kind and having a wonderful group of people who are fans of you and you've just you really kind of make this community better. So I hundred percent think that you're getting back what you're putting in. So you deserve it. thank you. okay, Eddie, what about you? What are you proud of? I'm proud that I took a chance on me for once. I believed in myself and stepped completely out of my comfort zone. And did something for myself, which is something I haven't really ever done. And this is mine. This is for me. So yeah. Yeah. Love it. It is. It's all you. a great question manda thank you anyone else have any questions i have some sillies that we can work on be and kim us two no no no no no we no no thanks no just no we're good we're we just live here we just we're always here okay I'm going to ask you all a question. This one might be a good one for Atlas. I'm gonna save that one for Atlas. Okay. That's not alarming at all. Nice! I would never. I would never. What who? Uh-huh. Put the pair of God in Zoom straight away. Remember now, maybe in November. In November, I'm gonna get you because they'll be like, I won't have to talk to you again for a while. So right now I have to talk to you again. So I'm gonna be real nice. Just to be nice to you guys. I'm gonna be real nice. okay, Lauren. List three pet peeves. Like just in general or as a voice actor? whatever you want. Tell it whatever you want. Littering. I don't know. blowers? No, I'm just kidding. wait, okay, wait. Y'all, wait, listen. Whoops, I did it. Listen. So yesterday or the day before yesterday, I was in the middle of recording and I live in the south, okay? And so I'm recording my I I have a sick child this week. So like I'm like, what is this noise? I'm hearing it through my headphones. And I'm like, what? Is that? Well, I don't know. I've never I like I cannot place what this sound is. So I'm like, it kind of sounds like running water. So I get up, I go, I check on my child, I'm like, Are you good? And he's like, yeah. And I'm like, Cool. What is that noise? And I look out the window, and my neighbor is spraying out his crawfish pot right like over there and it's so loud that it sounds like he's pressure washing my house. Mm-hmm. And I was like, brother. That's one of those big ones too, like the very fallen one. Yep. Uh-huh. And I was like, This is a new one. Usually it's lawnmowers and airplanes, but now I can add crawfit crawfish pots to the list. Yeah. So you what? I'm gonna say crawfish pots pissing me off. That's fair. And a third one. God, I don't know. that's Southern AF. I know. No, bro. I trust me, I agree. Yes, it is. But I know exactly what You know the sound. I know the sound. I thought I have one of those pots. Yeah. And I've had to wash it out. Yes. Yeah. Well, it might have Protest season. I don't understand. No voice actors have were harmed because no voice actors live around me. So I was very can't relate. I mean I don't know, Alice. Are you my neighbor? I don't think so. Who knows? I could be anyone. You could be anyone. All right. So littering profit pots. And and and that sinus pop whenever you have like sinus drainage and it shows up on your waveform and you have to do extra work to get it to go away. Yeah, I get that. Atlas is the crawfish. I'm in the pot. I mean you are, yeah, you pretty much are in the pot all the time. Just almost boiling. Okay. Atlas. Yes. Give three reasons a giraffe would be sad. Who cheered about that? Okay. Wasn't me. ceiling is too low. That made me sad. I'm tall. It is tracks. Same, girl. Same. I feel you. You know what? You're right. You're right. Neck too long, neck not long enough. So good. No leaves on the tree. Yeah. That pissed me off. Yeah. Yeah. Be pretty sad about that. two foot three. I feel like giraffes strike me as creatures that would have a a hard time navigating on ice. So I'm gonna say they have to walk across a frozen lake. You know what? That are very they're kinda gangly and awkward. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Very good. That was great. Thank you. Good job, Atlas. I'm a giraffe expert, so could have fooled me. I mean most giraffes don't aren't in a place with a ceiling, but I was gonna let it slide until you said you're a giraffe expert. I mean those giraffes aren't in a place with ice either, kid. True. True. Amanda said expert in the Okay, Addie. you this is something that you write about often. So you hopefully will do well on this question. Share three reasons you might have to crawl. good God. Yeah. I'll take persons. She said to be a good girl. Spencer knows all about that. So does. So do. Fire? Like smoke, you gotta crawl under the fire. Yep. Mm-hmm. That's fair. That escalated quickly. Brain right in the gutter. Yeah, of course. I mean, do you even know us, Kelly? Of course the brain went right in the gutter. Crawling? Yeah. Looking for something you dropped on the floor. Looking for something you dropped on the floor. I'm phoning a friend. For the win. For the win. I agree. That's great. You did it. Good job, team. Everyone did so well. Okay. So you all know each other pretty well by now. You have worked together for a while. So everyone's a period. Damien's. Yes, Nicole. One, two, three, done. I agree. Good answer, Nicole. Very good answer. okay. Everyone gets to give the person To their left a nickname. So Lauren, I want you to give Atlas a nickname. There's so many, I feel like there's many a direction I could go. I know, right? The possibilities are endless. I'm getting more alarmed by the moment. Trust me, he already has so many nicknames, you're probably not gonna. I don't I d I have I I went in like four different directions immediately just from our just from like the group chat. And I don't know. I was gonna say batless, but I was also I was gonna say something else. Yeah, I'm gonna stick with Batless. Batless It's a classic. I'll just tell you later what I've done. So more recently Bratless has been taking the lead. Yeah. Bratless has been a Bratlin has been a fan favorite. all right, Atlas, give Addy a nickname. my god. Man, Addy chokes. no. Addy choke. Like an artichoke? But an addy choke? yeah. Okay, that's amazing, thank you. I just saved your joke, Atlas. Thank you. Smut Queen. That's right, Audrey. That's it. There you go. Smut Queen. Addie chokes. Wow. All right, dude. Yeah. All right, Addy. Give Lauren a nickname. Mine's actually not cool for Lauren because I already have a nickname for you that I tell Kristen all the time, but I've never told it to you. you low all the time. my gosh. Yeah. And she automatically knows who I'm talking about. So I already gave you one. I don't know if I ever told you that though. You did this I said I do have that as a nickname. do you? I didn't know this. I love that. I'm gonna call you Lo now too, Lauren. I like that. I'll answer. I like it. I'll I will answer. Well, yeah, it's one of my nicknames for real. My dad calls me Lo. I love that. That's so cute. Wow. Okay. We learned something new. You guys did so good. I thought you were gonna have a hard time with those, but you guys did great. At least you answered so fast, I was really nervous. Normally you have to normally you have to think a long time. Listen, this is what editing is for. It's a whole Jeopardy, like there's literally like a whole Jeopardy theme song in my head when you when I ask you a question. God damn it. Just kidding. All right. Atlas, Atlas could be the cough man. Yeah. The cough man. All right. Anybody in the com anybody in the comments have any more questions for Lauren or Atlas or Addie? you guys, this book was so good. Silk Seduction was so good. So fun. Such a great story, Addy. We've talked about this. Alicia's Alicia said do the moan. Alice. I'll leave that up to you, buddy. What moan? it's a little zombie moan. Dumb play dumb staccato zombie moan. I don't know. I think you might have to wait for that one. Audrey Audrey said do the roar. Is there a roar? I certainly cannot do the roar right now. Yeah, he'll cough. He'll cough himself to death if he does the roar. Yeah. I literally this morning too, I was recording narration for another project and I I did have to do a like shouted line and I was dying. no. I did it like ten times to to get it the way I wanted it and it was not good. no. The struggle. Audrey said zombie moans may have to wait till November. You know what, Audrey, you're right. Because yeah. Lauren, you got that one. No, no. Thank you, but no. Yeah, everybody definitely at least you do need to take care of your voice. It's your your little instrument. All right, guys. Anyone else have any questions? Barrel roll. Kelly than my brain. Hey Neon Rose, how are you? All right. Yeah, Alicia likes the deep voice. Yeah. Coughs are good for a c a few things. You get that nice little clock rasp. Baby buffet. Tinge to your voice. Yeah, yeah. I'm miserable, but I sound just a little extra sexy. Yeah, just a little. Yeah. Don't don't don't tell him that, y'all. Don't tell him that. Come on. Flem. Yeah. Exactly. That that sex is it up. Yeah, exactly. Thanks. Addie, what we got we've got tattoos and mistakes is gonna be coming out in the next one in this series. we're gonna be talking about that in about a month or so.
