- 0:06Speaker 1: Good morning, Happy Friday. Let's go it's Friday, get high.
- 0:09Speaker 1: But I keep forgetting it's Friday.
- 0:10Speaker 2: I know.
- 0:11Speaker 1: It just feels a kind of blo outside. They're saying
- 0:13Speaker 1: a chance of storms. It's making it feel like a
- 0:14Speaker 1: Monday out. I don't appreciate that, Mother Nature. A slight
- 0:18Speaker 1: chance of a storm. We'll see. The weekend looks good though, hot,
- 0:21Speaker 1: high's upper nineties and sunny.
- 0:23Speaker 3: All right, Dirty Little Secret is on.
- 0:25Speaker 1: If you have a secret eight three three seven eight
- 0:27Speaker 1: seven one two nine, it doesn't matter what it's about.
- 0:29Speaker 3: It's a non judgment zone.
- 0:30Speaker 1: It could be a silly secret, a serious secret, whatever
- 0:33Speaker 1: you got, and you have one.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Okay, So I know this is probably one of the
- 0:39Speaker 2: weirdest confessions you've ever heard. But I've spent most of
- 0:43Speaker 2: my life telling people I'm Mexican and that's not.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Wait, you're telling people you're Mexican but you're not.
- 0:54Speaker 2: You're not. I know it's ridiculous, and you guys can
- 0:59Speaker 2: laugh at if of myself too, But honestly, it's it's
- 1:02Speaker 2: just become such a habit, like I don't even think
- 1:05Speaker 2: about it anymore.
- 1:06Speaker 3: How does this become a habit?
- 1:07Speaker 2: Why?
- 1:09Speaker 3: Why you what you do? What is happening?
- 1:12Speaker 2: Well, the funny thing is, like I I kind of
- 1:15Speaker 2: look like I could be because I'm pretty dark complexed,
- 1:18Speaker 2: so nobody ever questions it. And almost all my friends
- 1:23Speaker 2: are Mexican or Hispanic, and I've even dated almost exclusively
- 1:27Speaker 2: Hispanical when in my whole life, and I'm I've just
- 1:30Speaker 2: always felt like that's where I fit in.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Oh oh, I mean yeah, Mexican culture, like you want
- 1:36Speaker 1: people to fit in everybody's family. I can relate to that,
- 1:39Speaker 1: you know. I always say if i'm if I should
- 1:41Speaker 1: have been.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Born Mexican, Yeah, honorary.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't I should. I don't fake it.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Maybe I should start faking it.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Yeah, Billy went to the years ago. You never never left, No,
- 1:50Speaker 3: I never, I'm still there. I just love it.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I love the food, the parties, the music, the people,
- 1:59Speaker 1: the culture, the the women.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Yeah. Right, oh my god, I do yeah.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Yeah. And it's funny like the same thing with me,
- 2:07Speaker 2: like because like I I loved oh and it actually
- 2:09Speaker 2: started in high school with a girl because my biggest
- 2:13Speaker 2: crush was on this girl and somebody told me that
- 2:16Speaker 2: she only dated Mexican guys, so yeah, yeah, you know
- 2:21Speaker 2: where this is going. Yeah, so when she asked me
- 2:27Speaker 2: what I was, I said I'm Mexican. She believed me,
- 2:30Speaker 2: and somehow just it just stucked. Yeah.
- 2:35Speaker 3: I love that.
- 2:35Speaker 1: It started because in high school you had a crush
- 2:37Speaker 1: on yeah Latina. All of a sudden, you're like, you
- 2:41Speaker 1: know what, Oh she likes Mexicans. Well oh lah, yeah,
- 2:45Speaker 1: they call me yeah.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, my my Mexican nickname was actually Pablo.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Okay, I'm not mad at that.
- 2:59Speaker 3: So you just kind of went with it.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Yeah. Like after that, every new group of people I met,
- 3:05Speaker 2: they just assumed I was Hispanic, and in step corrected them.
- 3:08Speaker 2: I would just roll with it. Then I'd tell people
- 3:11Speaker 2: I was half Mexican, and after saying that enough times,
- 3:15Speaker 2: it just became my default answer.
- 3:16Speaker 3: But you're not are you? But you're not a Mexican
- 3:19Speaker 3: at all.
- 3:20Speaker 2: That's the crazy part. My family isn't Mexican and all.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Like I can eat all the tacos and drink tequila
- 3:26Speaker 2: all I want, it's not going to happen. It's just
- 3:29Speaker 2: it's not there.
- 3:30Speaker 3: That's funny. Oh this is hysterical.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna start calling you Pablo, then, yeah, so you've
- 3:35Speaker 1: been doing this for a long time.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. And and my family they're probably listening and
- 3:40Speaker 2: wondering why I've been doing this for like twenty years,
- 3:42Speaker 2: but I just don't have a good answer.
- 3:44Speaker 3: You're just going with it. Yeah.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Yeah, it is kind of a weird, weird lie. Oh yeah,
- 3:49Speaker 1: but oh yeah, hey whatever, I mean.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Course lies out there.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, of course, I know a lot of people,
- 3:55Speaker 1: you know what, I know people who lie about being
- 3:57Speaker 1: Native American scholarships. They're trying to get scholarships. While yeah,
- 4:02Speaker 1: I don't know what they're lying for. But that was
- 4:05Speaker 1: like a weird flex when we were younger. Yeah, wasn't
- 4:07Speaker 1: that weird?
- 4:07Speaker 3: I mean it was kind of cool. It was.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I thought I was Native American my entire life until
- 4:11Speaker 1: I did that DNA test and my whole family lied
- 4:14Speaker 1: to me. Yeah, I mean my grandmother they made it
- 4:16Speaker 1: sound like we were living in.
- 4:17Speaker 3: TP's back in the day, and then I'm not even.
- 4:19Speaker 1: One I'm not even one percent anything Native American. Wow.
- 4:23Speaker 1: My mama had cousins that had light eyes and had
- 4:27Speaker 1: that long hair, and she'd be like, oh, I'm part Cherokee.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I was playing. I was told yeah.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I'm like, well, yeah, it's funny with that. I was
- 4:38Speaker 2: told blackfoot, I did the DNA test. I didn't see
- 4:42Speaker 2: any in there, but maybe I don't know that I
- 4:45Speaker 2: could be lying about being Mexican and Native American.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Yeah, well rough. I told my mom that.
- 4:50Speaker 1: I was like, Mom, we're not Native American at all.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I did a DNA test. She goes, well, those things lie.
- 4:56Speaker 1: They don't know what they're doing. I'm like, I don't
- 4:59Speaker 1: know if that's I think we were lied to.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Whatever.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Well, you know what, fascinating secret. Pablo, thank you so much,
- 5:07Speaker 1: and good luck with the latinas.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Yeah, we welcome to the club. I'm black Sikin, so
- 5:12Speaker 3: it's goods black skin. Yeah, I'm Germo the Greenoa. We're
