- 1:07Facebook Lives are, aren't you guys loving the same thing?
- 1:09I'm loving it.
- 1:10Back in the days I used to do so many of these and people used to get a lot of value and my goals to bring it back only because we are at a time where.
- 1:21Ah, so many people are struggling.
- 1:22So many people are facing that of health challenges.
- 1:24And as a functional medicine doctor, it is my job to shed some light and discuss the things that most doctors are not talking about.
- 1:31So I wrote some notes, so you're gonna see me reading because I wanna make sure that I'm not missing anything, any point.
- 1:37If you have any questions, even after watching this, you can just send in my weight.
- 1:40Comment below and ask your questions.
- 1:42I would love for you to share this information with all the people that you know that can benefit from it.
- 1:48I usually tell my patients sharing is caring and loving, because when you offer the gift of health to people, you're giving them a lot, A lot of us think it's money or it's a gift, but having a body that works for you is very important.
- 2:00And one thing that I do a lot with my patients, that I work with patients on a regular basis is addressing inflammation.
- 2:06Nobody's talking about inflammation, Like I have to tell you how many times people will come to me and no one is checking the inflammatory markers.
- 2:13So part of my treatment protocols and part of my investigative process is to check inflammatory markers.
- 2:18You gotta know because it always starts with inflammation.
- 2:21So in today's video, in today's Facebook Live YouTube podcast, remember you can always go to our YouTube channel to get the catch that replay,'cause the algorithm only keeps these wonderful.
- 2:32Lives for like 30 minutes, or you can listen not to this on the podcast.
- 2:36That would cause podcasts as you are driving, cooking, cleaning, just to kind of educate yourself.
- 2:41That's one thing I tell my patients all of the time, that nobody can take away from you.
- 2:45Like nobody can take away my knowledge, although I spend a lot of money, but nobody can take away my knowledge.
- 2:49Even now, we've grown and building my business and I'm learning things about funnels, about ads, and I'm like, I'm gonna learn these things and use'em forever.
- 2:57And that's the thing when it comes to healing your body, whatever learning you acquired, skills and tools, you can always use it forever.
- 3:03So inflammation.
- 3:05I treat inflammation as nobody's business.
- 3:08And when my patients are less inflamed, that's when they start seeing results.
- 3:11That's when they start feeling better.
- 3:12That's when they'll text me and say, Dr.
- 3:13Gente, I'm losing weight.
- 3:15I'm using water weight.
- 3:17I feel less inflamed.
- 3:18I feel less heavy in my body.
- 3:19My hormones, I'm not experiencing half flashes up because we are targeting inflammation.
- 3:25Did you know that most people ignore the first signs of inflammation?
- 3:29Because we've been this conditioned.
- 3:30We've been conditioned to do so.
- 3:32We tell ourselves it's aging, it's stress, it's hormones.
- 3:35I'm getting older when in fact it's your brain getting used to feeling bad, Like we keep coming up with.
- 3:42Things, I'm not gonna call them excuses, like our brain is telling our stories to keep us exactly where we are.
- 3:47No, it's not aging.
- 3:48Could it be your hormones?
- 3:49Yes.
- 3:49But what's causing the hormone imbalance, right?
- 3:51It's stress.
- 3:52Like we all have stress, but we all have different degrees and severity of inflammation.
- 3:55So I want you to stop and recognize this inflammation, this symptoms as a warning sign.
- 4:01It's your body communicating with you.
- 4:03When you have inflammation, it's like your body is whispering before it starts screaming.
- 4:07We start with inflammation.
- 4:08That's a whisper.
- 4:10And then full blown symptoms is the scream.
- 4:11It's your body, like the back pain, you wake up with the bloating, that's not going away.
- 4:15The chronic fatigue, that's not improving.
- 4:17That's your body actually screaming out loud.
- 4:19But we don't start screaming.
- 4:21We start whispering.
- 4:22So inflammation is the whisper that almost everyone is missing and including your doctor.
- 4:26That used to be me.
- 4:28I usually wait until that patients are severely sick and then maybe we'll check inflammatory markers.
- 4:33And when I'm looking at people's blood tests, because that's part of my process.
- 4:36When you schedule consultation with me, I'm gonna ask you to upload previous blood work.
- 4:41And I'm like, you inflamed, but nobody's checking the inflammatory markers like what's going on?
- 4:46No one, but you have to because it always go back to inflammation.
- 4:50Every single symptoms, every single disease lead to inflammation.
- 4:54It was says.
- 4:54So it was said that 90% of chronic disease is linked to inflammation, 90%, the heart disease, the diabetes, the autoimmune conditions, the arthritis, obesity, the weight gain, lead to inflammation, and so often we do all the injections out there.
- 5:09They are not addressing the inflammation.
- 5:12These are quick fixes because when you stop taking the injections or the weight loss medications, what happen?
- 5:17The weight comes back.
- 5:18I saw a patient yesterday who's in Monro.
- 5:20And she was like, Dr.
- 5:21Gente, my doctor didn't tell me when to stop taking this me, uh, medication.
- 5:24I've lost weight, but that's it.
- 5:26I lost weight, but I'm still tired.
- 5:28I'm still bloated now.
- 5:29My stomach is really hurting.
- 5:31I'm having like aches and pains.
- 5:32That's inflammation.
- 5:33She's like, I would love for you to help me not to be dependent on this medication because I know for sure I'm an educated person and I know when I stop taking the pill, the weight will come back, which is completely true.
- 5:43Alright, so six out of 10 adults in the us.
- 5:47Have a chronic illness and most studied as an solid inflammation.
- 5:51You gotta have inflammation for you to be sick.
- 5:53That is just the pathway of disease creation.
- 5:5775% of people dealing with chronic fatigue, migraine, bloating, weight gain, have inflammatory markers that are never tested in traditional labs.
- 6:07Traditional labs, like the labs that your doctors are doing right now, they are not testing inflammatory marker that could be leading to all this health disease and symptoms you are faced right now.
- 6:1770% of the immune system lives in the gut, like we all know that now, when I did this research, because I wanna bring real numbers to the table.
- 6:23I don't want you to think like it's me creating all this.
- 6:26Yes, I've been practicing for 11 years.
- 6:27I've seen it all, and every single patient of mines are inflamed.
- 6:31But I want you to bring like the statistics that I'm seeing as I'm researching these topics, right?
- 6:3670%.
- 6:37I think it's more than that.
- 6:37I think 90% of the immune system is in the gut, So meaning inflammation starts in the gut, not in your head, not in your joints, not in your ovaries.
- 6:46For those people that are struggling with hormonal replacement, not in your skin, for all those, skin rashes in the gut, inflammation.
- 6:54Age is you five times faster.
- 6:57That's why I tell people age is just a number.
- 7:00Don't tell me it's because you're getting older.
- 7:02That's why you feel the way you feel.
- 7:03Don't tell me because you're older, because that's why your hormones are, I balance like not all 40-year-old, 44-year-old going through perimenopause are experiencing the same symptoms.
- 7:10I've seen people that are postmenopausal, they have beautiful estrogen levels, but yes, you're supposed to have no estrogen if you,, post menopause, But that's not the truth.
- 7:18It is the inflammation, it's the degree and the severity of inflammation that makes your skin looks older, that makes it difficult for you to lose weight.
- 7:26That makes you have chronic fatigue and even memory, the brain fog, the forgetfulness.
- 7:31You can't recall things like you used to.
- 7:33Your brain has to work harder for you to recall inflammation that are sharp as you used to.
- 7:38It's the is to burn inflammation.
- 7:39We call that neuroinflammation.
- 7:41Neurotoxicity.
- 7:42Chronic inflammation increases the risk of depression by 70%.
- 7:45We all have some types of mental illness.
- 7:47We all anxious, we all depressed because we don't love the way our body is functioning.
- 7:52We are not getting to the root causes, the underlying causes of why you're feeling the way you're feeling.
- 7:57That leads to depression in frustrations that I know something is wrong, but yet everything is normal.
- 8:02My doctor's telling me it's in my head.
- 8:04I'll be depressed'cause I want a body that functions for me every day.
- 8:08I want to have energy.
- 8:10I want to lose weight on demand.
- 8:12I want not to look that I'm pregnant with the blueness.
- 8:15And if you have chronic inflammation and we never check your markers, we don't know why your doctor cannot explain to you, give you a clear solution and answer why that is to depression, I'll be very depressed and hopeless.
- 8:26Women, US are twice as likely to have hidden solid inflammation due to hormonal fluctuation and stress load.
- 8:34Did you hear that?
- 8:35US females?
- 8:36We have way more solid inflammation because of our hormones that are fluctuating all of the time, every 28 days, right?
- 8:42We have hormonals imbalance if you are still menstruating, so then you have like all this estrogen, progesterone, DHE, stress hormones, and then we process stress differently.
- 8:52We do, men are not like that man only has testosterone that just renewed every 24 hours and man's like, oh, stress.
- 9:00Okay, we'll deal about it.
- 9:01We'll deal.
- 9:01We'll deal with it later.
- 9:02Us we like, it's in our head.
- 9:04We keep repeating the stressful situations in our head.
- 9:07Like your mind keep racing.
- 9:08We keep thinking you like all, you wake up all hours of the night looking at the ceiling, thinking about all the things in your head.
- 9:14So the stress load and also the hormones makes us to be more likely to have inflammation that are hidden.
- 9:19Now I'm gonna go over a few things when it comes to inflammation.
- 9:22We're gonna go into deep dives, into the root causes of inflammation because I want you to understand how all your symptoms.
- 9:29Diseases diagnosis are literally linked to inflammation, so gut inflammation, connection, what's causing your inflammation in the gut?
- 9:35Leaky gut, we all know about leaky gut imbalance in the gut microbiome specifically, if you take antibiotic, you take medications.
- 9:42Even though over the counter medications, I promise you it's messing up your gut food sensitivities.
- 9:48How often do you eat food and then your gut is acting up or you get in a rash.
- 9:53Or you have respiratory issues because of the histamine production, pathogens, viruses, candida, mold, and also parasites.
- 10:02Processed foods, foods that you did not cook in your kitchen that you are purchasing because you know you're busy out of convenience.
- 10:10So these people don't connect gut symptoms with moods, with skin, with weight.
- 10:16When I tell patients the connection, they're like, oh, I see how my gut.
- 10:19My imbalance in the gut microbiome.
- 10:22The food sensitivity is the way I eat.
- 10:24The pathogens, the gut infections that I have, the process can actually lead to inflammation.
- 10:28What about stress?
- 10:30Chronic stress raises cortisol.
- 10:32Cortisol disrupts sleep hormones, immune function that leads to inflammation.
- 10:38Okay, we all have stress.
- 10:39When was the last time you look at your stress hormones?
- 10:41When was the last time you look at your adrenal hormones?
- 10:43Chronic stress increases inflammation markers by 60%.
- 10:47That's why people who do not have a right process, they don't know how to manage stress are always sick.
- 10:52They always have a cold.
- 10:53They always have flu because that stress is weak in your immune system, creating massive inflammation.
- 10:59People underestimate stress because it's invisible, right?
- 11:02We don't see stress.
- 11:03Like, I don't know.
- 11:03I'm not even stressed because I don't see it, but when in fact internally we have stressors that are creating accident of stress leading to increased cortisol, leading to inflammation.
- 11:12What did I say?
- 11:13Your body keeps score even when your mind tries to push through.
- 11:17Let me repeat myself.
- 11:17Your body keeps score even when your mind tries to push through.
- 11:23What about hormones?
- 11:23How is that linked to inflammation?
- 11:25I'm gonna tell you.
- 11:26Inflammation, disrupt estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, your thyroid with hormones, your insulin hormones leading to weight gain, PMS, symptoms and fertility.
- 11:36Fatigue, anxiety, cold intolerance, cyst formation, like all these ovarian cysts.
- 11:43Multiple is from inflammation.
- 11:45All these PMS symptoms, hormonal imbalance, your heart flashes, your irritability, your cramping when you get your bleed.
- 11:51That's inflammation.
- 11:52You can't lose the weight, but we don't know why we can't lose the weight.
- 11:55We used to lose the weight easily.
- 11:56Now it's a struggle.
- 11:57That's inflammation.
- 11:58Inflammation is heavy in our bodies.
- 12:00It makes our cells, it's bloating our cells and making us feel very heavy.
- 12:04What about the insulin hormones like those insulin resistance.
- 12:07Your body, your pancreas is creating insulin.
- 12:09When was the last time you checked your insulin?
- 12:10I have to tell you, if I have a penny, like a penny, like a quarter, for all the people that are coming to my clinic, they've never heard the word insulin.
- 12:17That are trying to lose weight, or they're like, oh yeah, I don't have diabetes.
- 12:20My glucose is fine.
- 12:21My hemoglobin A1C is fine.
- 12:22I'm like, what about the insulin?
- 12:23What is that?
- 12:24It is a blood test you should be doing with your doctor because that leads to inflammation that's gonna prevent you from losing the weight and need to order chronic health conditions.
- 12:31I check insulin in every single human in my clinic.
- 12:34I have to look at these hormones because 90% of doctors don't.
- 12:38Hormones issues are always inflammation issues in the digest, in, in disguise.
- 12:43Hormone issues are always inflammation issues in disguise.
- 12:46Whenever you are experiencing hormone imbalance, pre prepare, post menopause, think about inflammation issues in disguise and it's, I'm always in awe how doctors gynecologists, OBGYNs, like the female doctors, never check people's hormones, but we all get, IUD, we all get hormone replacement therapies.
- 13:03We get the pills, but what is your level?
- 13:05What are the levels of your estrogen progesterone, DHEA testone, nobody can tell me.
- 13:10But yet I have hormone more imbalance.
- 13:11Do you, which hormones, I dunno, can't lose the weight.
- 13:15Why?
- 13:16I don't know.
- 13:16Inflammation, another root cause of inflammation.
- 13:19So we're still going deep dives into the root cause is toxicity bundle.
- 13:22Now that happens to be my secret sauce in helping my patient felt amazing within two to three weeks.
- 13:27That's why increased energy people lose weight in my practice when I address the toxicity burden.
- 13:32I have a test that I do a UN test that tests all your toxins, your mycotoxins, your heavy metal toxicity, and your environmental toxicity, and link it to specific disease and symptoms, and also tell me and you how to get rid of it.
- 13:46It's a UN test.
- 13:47I've been running this test for seven years in my practice and when people, when I do this test and I show it to people, they're like, oh my god.
- 13:55Dr.
- 13:55Genti.
- 13:56Now I can see clearly what my doctors have been missing, what I've been missing, and I also can see how I'm not crazy, my friend.
- 14:03If you are not addressing your toxicity burden, you are missing 90% of the healing process.
- 14:10You hear me?
- 14:11You get to assess the level of toxins you have in your body.
- 14:14Do you have mold?
- 14:15Yes you do.
- 14:16How do I know?
- 14:16Because you eat rice, you eat oats, you eat peanuts, drink coffee.
- 14:20These things are moldy.
- 14:22Do you have heavy metals?
- 14:22Yes.
- 14:22You do?
- 14:23How do I know?
- 14:23Because hey, heavy metals everywhere you cook with it, right?
- 14:26Your pen aluminum.
- 14:27If you have dental work, your mercury filling, that's heavy metals.
- 14:30You take medication, Tylenol's full of heavy metals.
- 14:32Oops.
- 14:33I'm not supposed to say this, but you have heavy metals.
- 14:36Do you have and endocrine disruptors?
- 14:38Yes.
- 14:38You do the plastics.
- 14:39BPA, pesticides.
- 14:40Do you have PEs?
- 14:41Yes you do, because it's weird in our food.
- 14:43That's how we get the food sensitivity.
- 14:44That's how we are having all these gut issues.
- 14:46The average person has over 200 plus chemicals stored in the bodies.
- 14:52This is a fact.
- 14:53I didn't, I did not create this.
- 14:54This is me doing research.
- 14:56You, me, all the people living in the United State of America.
- 14:59We have over the average person, over 200 plus chemicals live in our bodies.
- 15:04How?
- 15:05'cause we are exposed to toxins every day.
- 15:07If you truly wanna lose weight, address your toxicity level, because when you lose toxins, your cells shrink.
- 15:12You decrease inflammation, you get rid of water weight, you lose weight, period.
- 15:17So this is your awareness.
- 15:18'cause so many people are coming to me, they like trying all of the things, but one thing they can actually do that can literally significantly help them lose weight or feel better or get rid of the chronic fatigue of the brain fog.
- 15:29Because leaky gut, leaky brain neurotoxicity, toxic gut, toxic brain is connected.
- 15:36It's detoxed.
- 15:37Right now we're doing a Paray Cleans, and I wish I can show you guys pictures of what's coming out of people's body.
- 15:42And I love when I do those Percys because people will never know.
- 15:46They'll never know what they have until they see it.
- 15:48And sometimes I ask my patients to believe it before they see it because if you're gonna wait to see it, you'll never believe it, then you're never gonna heal.
- 15:54Remember inflammation in disguise, a lot of us are like having tons of things.
- 15:59Stored in our bodies.
- 16:01And because we're not taking, we're not putting the effort and investigating and identifying, we'll never know, but yet we are on the cycle of finding the greatest, latest solution.
- 16:09How can you find a solution if you don't even, you don't know what you're looking for.
- 16:13It's not gonna happen.
- 16:14Let's talk about inflammation and nutritional deficiencies.
- 16:16Yes, inflammation depletes nutrients like Omegas, magnesium, the B vitamins, vitamin D, these things are crucial for energy production.
- 16:25They are crucial for mood.
- 16:27That's why we tell patients mental illness.
- 16:30It's a gut thing.
- 16:31It's an inflammation thing.
- 16:32Whenever you feel stressed, you are anxious, you're depressed, you have bipolar, whatever.
- 16:36It's inflammation in your brain.
- 16:38If you take medications, again, the medications are depleting your nutrients.
- 16:42If you have gut infections, they are still your nutrients.
- 16:45If you never detox, your cells are clogged with toxins.
- 16:49You are not gonna have nutrients penetrating your cells.
- 16:51They're not gonna get what they need to help.
- 16:53Them thrive and then for them to work for you.
- 16:5692% of Americans have at least one nutritional deficiency, 92%.
- 17:01That's why IV vitamin therapy, if you have a clinic that can give you a preservative free IVs, you can replenish those nutrients in a matter of weeks pills.
- 17:11You might be saying, well, Dr.
- 17:12Gen, I'm taking supplements.
- 17:13Oh my God, supplements will not replenish your nutrients in the cells as far as IV could.
- 17:19You gotta take a lot of pills.
- 17:20You gotta take multiple bottles to actually feel the difference.
- 17:25Marilyn spoke to a patient this morning that are signing up for a total body restoration program and she was saying, oh my God, how she spend at least$5,000 in supplements?
- 17:33Not kidding.
- 17:33I cannot make this up.
- 17:34No.
- 17:35She's like, well, I work with a functional medicine doctor before, and I did all this testing.
- 17:38That was like thousands of dollars and then I enroll into a program.
- 17:41Nothing was included.
- 17:42Is this like everything's included in my program, I literally give you specific targeted nutrients.
- 17:47Multi multi minerals, magnesium, all the thing herbs.
- 17:51We do a lot of herbs in my practice to help you decrease the inflammation and feed your cells what they need.
- 17:56But if you're looking at this like, I don't have access to vitamin therapy, I'm taking my pills, just know that you have to do your due diligence to look at the ingredients and also know you might have to take those pills for a long time.
- 18:07Specifically if you have gut issues, you are not absorbing.
- 18:10Those pills are just sitting there.
- 18:12And just be okay.
- 18:13You gotta take them for a long time and those pills might not be giving you the result that you're looking for.
- 18:16But nutritional deficiencies is a thing that happens when you have inflammation cause your cells are inflamed and there's no space for nutrients to go in there.
- 18:25And that leads to a whole bunch of symptoms, many of the symptoms that you're experiencing now.
- 18:28So root causes of inflammation.
- 18:30We talk about gut inflammation connection.
- 18:32We talk about how stress as a biological fire starter, when was the last time you checked your stress hormones?
- 18:38Like so many people are coming to me.
- 18:39They know they are stressed, but nobody's helping them.
- 18:41Stress.
- 18:41Check the stress hormones.
- 18:43Your cortisol, when was the last time you checked that?
- 18:45Not the blood.
- 18:46'cause you have to check your cortisol and cellularly.
- 18:48You have to look at the morning, afternoon, evening, and night.
- 18:51Hormonal imbalance.
- 18:52That's not a root cause of inflammation and toxicity burden and nutritional nutrient deficiencies.
- 18:57Almost every patient who walks into my in our clinic says the same thing.
- 19:01They'll say the following.
- 19:02Almost every single one of'em, almost every single patient that walk into my clinic will say the following, I just don't feel like myself anymore.
- 19:09Dr.
- 19:09Gente, I don't feel like myself anymore.
- 19:11And they have been told the labs are normal.
- 19:14Not only they've been told the labs are normal, they can see the labs are normal.
- 19:17They are very powerful human beings.
- 19:19They can read.
- 19:19They are very smart people.
- 19:20They're like, yep, my lives are normal.
- 19:21They have been through this anxiety.
- 19:23Take a Xanax.
- 19:23It's anxiety, you stress you anxious.
- 19:25Take Xanax.
- 19:26They have been told your hormones.
- 19:28It's your hormones.
- 19:29Lemme give you a pill.
- 19:30Let's do IUD, let's do the pal, let's do the cream.
- 19:32They have been told this again, stressed, right?
- 19:34Like you're stressed out.
- 19:35They have been told this age.
- 19:36I'm getting older.
- 19:38No, it's none of the above.
- 19:39It's none of it's not you.
- 19:41You are not crazy.
- 19:42That dismiss.
- 19:44Okay, so what happens when people, when patients like themselves have been through all this?
- 19:47Nonsense.
- 19:48I call it nonsense.
- 19:50It creates dismissal that leads to helplessness because they feel so hopeless.
- 19:54It's like nobody can help me.
- 19:56I don't know what's wrong with me and have to live like this for the rest of my life.
- 19:59And when people feel this way, it leads to a psychological state where people start believing.
- 20:03Nothing will help, nothing will help.
- 20:05But they know deep inside of them something is going wrong.
- 20:08You live it with your body.
- 20:08You know how your body is to function and you know how your body's functioning now.
- 20:12So when you have doctors, practitioners, and that used to be me, no shame, no judgment telling you it's your age, it's anxiety, it's your hormone.
- 20:20Nothing is wrong with you, makes you feel like nothing will help.
- 20:23And then you stop looking.
- 20:25You stop believing, and you stop going into victim mode.
- 20:28So the intel, I discover the power of functional medicine.
- 20:31My friend breaks that cycle by showing you, me why they feel the way they feel, and how to reverse it.
- 20:38I love what I do because every single time I have a patient sitting in my clinic on this chair, or I'm doing Zoom, like I have one patient right now, Shirley Brown, she's my patient.
- 20:46We're doing Zoom calls or meetings.
- 20:48People just look at me like, and they start crying.
- 20:50They're like, oh my God.
- 20:51It's not me.
- 20:52I don't have to take a Xanax.
- 20:53I'm not crazy because I can literally show them on paper by checking inflammatory markers by checking the proper testing without them spending a lot of money, and they're gonna see all these abnormalities like, am I gonna die?
- 21:04Think that's a joke.
- 21:05They'll be like, am I?
- 21:06Am I okay?
- 21:06I'm not, no.
- 21:07If you go to your doctor and you say, I don't feel good, guess what?
- 21:10You don't feel good.
- 21:11You don't decide to pay money whether the insurance is paying or not.
- 21:14It doesn't matter because you pay the insurance.
- 21:15They pay your taxes, pay the insurance they pay, okay?
- 21:19Or you working with a functional medicine, Dr.
- 21:20Like myself, because you want an extended office visit, you want someone that's actually gonna investigate and dedicate time, energy, and studying your case and looking for all the possible markers to give you some answers, some clarity, some results.
- 21:32That's what we do as a functional medicine.
- 21:34I break the cycle by showing you why you feel the way you feel.
- 21:37And no, you are not crazy.
- 21:39No, you don't wanna go see a shrink or papa pill.
- 21:41That's what I do every day, and I will not stop doing that because I have to tell you, me stopping doing the work that I was chosen to do is me doing a disservice to the world.
- 21:49So many people need to hear this.
- 21:51So many people are waking up this morning every day.
- 21:53Hoping and praying.
- 21:54They have a great day, struggling suffering, and they are doing so many things.
- 21:57They're doing exactly what they were told.
- 21:59They're taking the medication, they're investing in themselves.
- 22:01They're eating healthy, they're exercising, but yet they're not feeling great.
- 22:05Something is missing.
- 22:06Functional medicine test.
- 22:08The test that I do on the treatments that I provide for my patient, people that I never knew existed.
- 22:11We look at the gut, we look at inflammation.
- 22:14We look at nutritional deficiencies.
- 22:16We look at toxicity bundles, we look at gut infection, we look at hormones, we look at autoimmune triggers.
- 22:22We also look at your detox pathways, and patients will tell me, I've never had any doctors look at all of this for me.
- 22:28And I said, because you never had any doctors looking at all this factors.
- 22:31That's the reason why you still don't know what's going with you.
- 22:34And that's the reason why you're on the quest.
- 22:36You're searching, you've been searching for years, you've been seeing all the specialists.
- 22:39But if people are not addressing the gut issues, the inflammation issues, the toxins issues, the hormone issues, the detox, like you are missing up, you missing out in a list of frustration, disappointment, and you're feeling like, okay, it's me.
- 22:51I have to settle for this.
- 22:53And your body's like, Nope, we are not.
- 22:54And you know how I know your body's saying we're not settling because the symptoms keeps increasing.
- 22:58You're getting more and more of the symptoms used to be sluggish today, and then tomorrow you have chronic fatigue.
- 23:02The migraine is not going away.
- 23:03The skin rash is not going away.
- 23:04It keeps coming back Your gut, this keeps getting bloated.
- 23:07People will tell me they have like gut issues, even drinking water.
- 23:10Water is the best medicine.
- 23:11Why are we reacting to water?
- 23:13So what are you supposed to drink to hydrate?
- 23:15It's your body saying, no, don't give up.
- 23:17We're not gonna give up.
- 23:17There's a lot more work to do here.
- 23:19We deserve to feel great.
- 23:20We deserve to have a better quality of life.
- 23:22Let's address the inflammation.
- 23:24So if you've been living with symptoms that don't make sense, and this doesn't make sense, Dr.
- 23:29Gent, I'm doing all of the things and your body feels inflamed, heavy, tired, and out of balance, and you feel like you're going through, you're doing everything but still not getting results.
- 23:39Look at your inflammatory markers.
- 23:41Schedule consultation with a functional medicine doctor.
- 23:43Bring those questions to your doctor.
- 23:45Doctor, are you checking all these things I just mentioned?
- 23:47Because you and your doctors are missing a lot.
- 23:49I'm gonna okay myself.
- 23:50If you've been living with symptoms that don't make sense, we call them mystery symptoms, mystery illness.
- 23:55Nobody can help you figure this out, and your body feels heavy and flame tired, sluggish, and out of balance.
- 24:01You know when your body feels out of balance because you're dealing with it, right?
- 24:04Every day, nothing is working.
- 24:06If you feel like you're doing anything and everything right now, the latest, greatest whatever, Dr.
- 24:11Google is giving you some information or recommendations but still not getting answers.
- 24:15You still dunno what's wrong with you, that you know your hormones are in balance or how because you have PMS symptoms have flashes.
- 24:21You would ability that your body says, but hormones or you have fibroids and endometriosis.
- 24:25PCOS different in my hormones, but which one can you do the proper test?
- 24:29Are you seeing on paper which hormones are in balance?
- 24:31You already know something is off.
- 24:33Absolutely something is wrong.
- 24:34Dr.
- 24:34Gen.
- 24:34I don't feel like myself, but which hormones?
- 24:36I don't know.
- 24:36When you do identify the hormones that are imbalanced have it.
- 24:39Why is it imbalanced?
- 24:40I don't know.
- 24:41There's always something creating the dysfunction and disease in your body, and that's my message to you today.
- 24:47My message to you today is not to give up.
- 24:49Continue on this journey.
- 24:50It's your body.
- 24:51It's your health, it's your vessel.
- 24:52Don't give up.
- 24:54You can't afford to.
- 24:55What's the alternative?
- 24:56As you get older, the symptoms are louder and you have less functioning.
- 25:00Your body functions decreases.
- 25:01You find yourself in facilities that you don't wanna be, like nursing homes and a wheelchair worker, that's not normal.
- 25:06Society said it is, but I'm telling you, that's not normal.
- 25:08And all the patients that are in nursing home didn't choose to be there, didn't know this medicine exists.
- 25:12Back in the days, people didn't know functional medicine exists.
- 25:15They didn't know there are natural ways.
- 25:16Or the other options to heal, aside from taking the pill.
- 25:20So that's what inflammation does to your body.
- 25:22We talked about the root causes, right?
- 25:24We talked about how you're not crazy, something is wrong, how inflammation usually starts silently and then becomes lack of screaming in your body.
- 25:32Your body is asking for help, and it's time to listen before the whisper becomes very loud.
- 25:38Because when that becomes loud, you're gonna spend more time or energy, you're gonna be more stressed out, more anxious in finding a solution.
- 25:45I specialize in uncovering the exact root causes of my patients inflammation and symptoms, and build in a plan for them.
- 25:52That's what I do.
- 25:53That's what I'm able to get.
- 25:5490 something Google reviews, and I'm writing right now because we do great work.
- 25:57I want you to know that you need to really work with a doctor that knows what they're doing.
- 26:01And Don.
- 26:01Don't just waste your money, time and energy on any doctor that calls themselves functional medicine.
- 26:05Do your due diligence, research them out, but functional medicine should also be in your back pocket.
- 26:09Now, this is what we're gonna do because my goal on this planet, and I'm fully accepting my work, I used to hide from it.
- 26:16If I'm being honest with you.
- 26:17I used to shy away.
- 26:18I'm like, oh, people will find me if they need me.
- 26:20People will come to me if they need me.
- 26:21When they struggle enough, they suffer enough.
- 26:22I can't allow this to happen anymore.
- 26:25Because I'm seeing a lot more cancer patients now, a lot of autoimmune conditions.
- 26:29And to be honest with you, I would love not to do that.
- 26:32I would love for people to start working on themselves before the symptoms lead to cancer and autoimmune.
- 26:36So I'm hosting a free workshop.
- 26:38It's free, and I would love for you to come.
- 26:41It is happening December 2nd at 5:00 PM to spend the time.
- 26:46And this workshop, we're gonna workshop some of your symptoms and I'm gonna use the functional medicine process.
- 26:51To show you how I would, if you are a patient of mine, how I would handle this situation?
- 26:56Any symptoms, any disease, bring it.
- 26:59Of course, I'm not gonna treat you'cause we cannot treat in a zoom meeting.
- 27:02There's a lot more you need to identify.
- 27:04But my hope during this free workshop is to really show you what is possible to give you hope when some clarity, this mental old beliefs for you to start thinking how wow.
- 27:13I need to really look elsewhere.
- 27:15I need to incorporate something else because what I'm doing right now is not working.
- 27:18cause so often people will come to me, oh, I'm your worst case.
- 27:20I'm a very challenging case.
- 27:21I'm like, no you're not.
- 27:22Don't think like that.
- 27:23You're not a challenging case.
- 27:25It so happens your inflammation, your whisper has been loud.
- 27:28We just have more work to do.
- 27:29That's all.
- 27:29But you's not a challenging case.
- 27:30So on this free workshop, I would love for you to attend and also to bring a friend of family members.
- 27:36'cause all I'm doing is to show you what's possible, give you the information.
- 27:39For you to educate yourself.
- 27:41cause when you do not know what's going on and you have no education, you're at the mercy of the doctors, you're at the mercy of the practitioner and they can do whatever they want with you.
- 27:50You are literally transferring your power to them.
- 27:52And my goal for my patients, for them to have enough knowledge to be dangerous, enough knowledge to have to hold a conversation with the doctors.
- 27:58I want you to work, talk to your doctor.
- 28:00Like, okay, I'm in charge of my body.
- 28:02Since I am not the expert, I didn't go to school, medical school, I need to hire you to help fix this, but I'm not even just gonna sit here and be a passive participant and let you do whatever and I'm just gonna, no, because if you do that, you are not gonna get the results you're looking for.
- 28:14You gotta come prepared and show up.
- 28:16You're like, okay, this is what's happening.
- 28:18And I think we should look at this.
- 28:20Dr.
- 28:20Gente says this, I journal my food and I know we need to look at these hormones.
- 28:25I would love you to like actually bring the question, bring it to your doctor, say hey.
- 28:29I want to feel good.
- 28:29I wanna feel great.
- 28:30I wanna feel better.
- 28:31And I know it's possible for me.
- 28:32And I've been looking, I've been searching.
- 28:33I have this knowledge I would like to share with you.
- 28:35Can you help me?
- 28:36And you're not gonna do that if you don't learn yourself.
- 28:39Your health is your number one priority, should not be somebody else's priority.
- 28:43It's yours by the, at the end of the office visit, you spend 15 minutes with your doctor, you think your doctor's gonna be thinking of you.
- 28:48No, your doctor's moving on to the next patient.
- 28:50So I saw a patient the other day.
- 28:52Who just diagnosed with stage four cancer, colon cancer, and she's upset because she doesn't like the way the doctor delivered the message to her.
- 28:59Then oncologist just walking through the room, hi, so and so, you have cancer just like that.
- 29:02No compassion, terrible bedside manner, like she was looking for someone to kind of deliver the message with ease, not like understanding.
- 29:11This is a very challenging time with a challenging diagnosis.
- 29:14Someone to be there.
- 29:15The doctor just walked, Hey, so and so you have cancer.
- 29:17We need to do chemotherapy now, and I have to, I have to tell, I'm like this.
- 29:20We had learned to do that.
- 29:21Imagine that doctor has three, like 15 other patients so that compassion is not there.
- 29:26Don't be upset.
- 29:27I'm like, just understand.
- 29:29Doctors nowadays have a lot going on.
- 29:32People are sick, they are not feeling better.
- 29:34They remain sick.
- 29:35And doctors us, we are like overwhelmed, burnt out with the amount of people coming to our clinic, our practice.
- 29:41So unfortunately I would love for it not to be that experience, but it is what it is.
- 29:45That's why I left conventional where I still practice, sorry, conventional medicine because I was just like one of those doctors.
- 29:52I was just walking through the room, so and so you have diabetes, take metformin, goodbye.
- 29:55No education, no change of lifestyles, no compassion, because I'm in my head.
- 30:00I'm like, okay, I have a list of people I need to see and I need to make sure I get, see all these people.
- 30:04Do my notes.
- 30:05Okay.
- 30:06And be home for my own family at a certain time.
- 30:09And I don't wanna bring work home and the insurance gonna ask for a whole bunch of paperwork.
- 30:12Like we got to go like, hurry up.
- 30:14Doctors go like, I need to tell you what I need you to tell you.
- 30:16I need to give you the pills and I need to go, I need to get out.
- 30:19Until I saw a patient that actually changed everything for me.
- 30:23And I told the story so many times, this Spanish speaking patient, and she's like, and that was her third visit in the emergency room, second or third.
- 30:29And she was like, doctor and her beautiful.
- 30:31And whenever ask I tell the story, I'm not tearing because it's so emotional.
- 30:35She was like, doctor I know what's wrong with me.
- 30:37And I'm saying to my head, if you know what's wrong with you, why are you here?
- 30:40I'm like, like you are wasting my time lady.
- 30:42Come on.
- 30:43Terrible.
- 30:44She's like, my husband is beating on me.
- 30:46Just exactly.
- 30:46Quote and all I'm thinking in my head, I have an emergency room full of people.
- 30:50Okay.
- 30:51I need to opt this lady's blood pressure medication so I can move on.
- 30:54And the nurse is looking at me and I'm looking at the nurse.
- 30:56I'm like, I don't know what to tell you.
- 30:57Like I'm not domestic violence like expert.
- 31:00And I'm like, okay, but you need to take this medication.
- 31:02She's like, my blood pressure is high because my husband is beating on me.
- 31:05And I'm like, I don't know what else to do, miss whatever misses, whatever.
- 31:08I'm just gonna give you a pill and then I gotta go.
- 31:10And that's what I did.
- 31:11I had up her blood pressure medication.
- 31:13I'm telling her, this is so emotional.
- 31:15Her blood pressure medication and then I just walked out.
- 31:18I know what happened to her.
- 31:19So often you hear stories how people don't make it out of domestic violence.
- 31:23Could have had no capacity or no room to show compassion to get this lady resources.
- 31:29'cause I had 20 other patients I had to see so, so mad.
- 31:33So anyways, I'm crying because it is when you.
- 31:36Seeing all these doctors and you're just a number.
- 31:40My patient used to be a number to me and I'm like, I need to see 20 people to generate revenue for the insurance to pay so we can keep our doors.
- 31:47At one point, I feel like I was competing with the other doctors who get to see, oh patients and it's 10, 15 minutes.
- 31:53How can I know you and help you in 15 minutes?
- 31:56No way, Jose.
- 31:58It's not gonna happen.
- 31:59I'm just gonna give you pills.
- 32:00So this lady and I, and I'm telling you this is like that changed everything for me.
- 32:05Usually it takes one thing besides my own health issues, my dad going through cancer, like it has nothing to do with the amount of emotion that I felt after seeing this lady like this has to, this is not working out.
- 32:15I am a legal drug dealer.
- 32:17I'm giving people drugs all day long.
- 32:19I wish I can find this lady and just apologize to her because I was not the best practitioner.
- 32:24And I was not the best practitioner because I didn't wanna be.
- 32:26It's because society said that's the way I was supposed to practice.
- 32:29So when these people come to my door, they have no re don't, they have no clue what's going with them.
- 32:33And they have 5, 3, 4, 5 medications and they're like, I don't know.
- 32:36I don't know.
- 32:37How do I get off this medications?
- 32:39My doctor never told me how to get off this medications.
- 32:41Like, what do I do?
- 32:42And I'm looking at them like, we need to identify the causes.
- 32:45We need to decrease inflammation.
- 32:46We need to remove toxins, we need to repair your gut.
- 32:49And they're looking at me like, oh my God, how come no one never told me that?
- 32:54So I'm sitting here, I'm like, okay, I need to do more work.
- 32:56I really need to do more work.
- 32:57This is not working out.
- 32:58What I'm doing right now is not enough because I'm seeing way too many patients like that.
- 33:01So that's why we're doing this half workshop December 2nd, 2025, to win awareness, clarity, and for you not to be at the mercy of your practitioner.
- 33:09Again, this is not batching the doctors.
- 33:11'cause I used to be one of those doctors who just give you pills when everything is normal.
- 33:14I'm like, everything's normal.
- 33:16Or I have the nurse call you and say, Hey, so and so everything's normal.
- 33:18Sometimes I don't even, nobody calls you.
- 33:20You have to call the doctor.
- 33:21The doctor.
- 33:21I did blood work.
- 33:22Can you tell me what's wrong with me?
- 33:23The doctor?
- 33:23Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 33:24Everything is normal.
- 33:25Okay.
- 33:25But I'm still not normal.
- 33:27I feel like terrible.
- 33:28Okay.
- 33:29I dunno what to tell you.
- 33:29Everything is normal.
- 33:30Like if you feel terrible, it's in your head.
- 33:31You're crazy.
- 33:32I don't know.
- 33:32We cannot help you.
- 33:33So it's, it is very challenging knowing that as a practitioner, there are so many options out there for you and people do not know about them.
- 33:41To me, it's challenging.
- 33:42I have this conversation so many times with my team.
- 33:44I'm like, how can we do better?
- 33:46How can we increase awareness?
- 33:48How can we tell people they don't have to suffer a struggle anymore?
- 33:52They have choices.
- 33:53And that's why I do this Facebook Lives.
- 33:55We're gonna be doing this, Facebook Lives every Wednesday at 1:00 PM and I'm gonna bring topics like this to educate you.
- 34:01We're gonna be doing some type of workshop or master classes.
- 34:03That's my dedication to my community, and they're gonna be free.
- 34:07Okay?
- 34:07And I wanna talk about hormones.
- 34:09I wanna talk about your gut one in your life.
- 34:11I wanna talk about this.
- 34:12Why you still sick?
- 34:13I wanna talk about how medication is not healing, it's numbing.
- 34:15I wanna talk about the brain fog, memory issues, anxiety, mental illness that is not all in your head, it's your body.
- 34:21I wanna talk about how to add 10 plus years of healthy years into your life.
- 34:25When people submit me in person, they're like, how old are you?
- 34:28I look so young because age is just a number.
- 34:31And some people, well, some people tell me I have good genes.
- 34:33Okay, you can't blame it on your genes, but I've seen a lot of people that has be like, good genes and they still struggling and they still look old and they're like very young.
- 34:40Alright, so please help me spread the words.
- 34:42I would love for you to share this information.
- 34:44Invite people to our free health workshop.
- 34:47You come when your symptom went to disease.
- 34:50If you have, if you're curious like, ah.
- 34:52My doctor said this thing doesn't work.
- 34:53Right.
- 34:54Conventional doctor said functional medicine is a skin.
- 34:56It's voodoo medicine.
- 34:57I would love for you to show up.
- 34:58Let me po let me prove it to you.
- 35:00So December 2nd at 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.
- 35:05It's a Zoom meeting, so you have to register because I don't wanna burn anybody that's not committed in learning.
- 35:11How they can start hitting the bodies because we're gonna be discussing a lot of things behind the scenes and people are gonna be sharing the symptoms for me to workshop the symptoms.
- 35:19And I want only people that are serious.
- 35:21If you still wanna be in the conventional space and that's working for you, this is not for you.
- 35:25If you wanna continue taking the medications and that's working for you, this is not for you.
- 35:28These are for people that are tired of being tired, that are looking for answers, that are looking for an alternative.
- 35:35These are people that are like, okay, Dr.
- 35:36Gent and holistic medicine is something I'm interested in.
- 35:39They want to explore.
- 35:40These are the people that are willing to invest time and energy and money into themselves because as we know, insurance space for pills and surgeries not healing.
- 35:49And I wanna talk to those people.
- 35:50I'm very serious'cause I'm gonna dedicate an hour and I'm gonna go deep, very deep.
- 35:54With our patients and we're gonna workshop and I'm gonna tell you what I think is happening.
- 35:59And of course you are gonna have to do some due diligence and do the proper work to add to really, because we don't wanna assume.
- 36:05And that's for you.
