  finally here. I try to explain the way I view

  the Super Bowl. You know, layoff there that

  first week, it's like, man, you get the opening line, you know,

  you're all excited. You have your thoughts, You

  check out the prop bets and then you kind of just feel like oh
• 0:55
  man, it is so far away. But now that week is over, Super
• 0:59
  Bowl week is officially here. We are now again approaching
• 1:03
  just a few days from now 123456 days away.

  We can start the countdown here until one of the greatest
• 1:10
  sporting events, I would argue the greatest sporting event
• 1:12
  other than March Madness. March Madness is pretty awesome,
• 1:15
  but nothing beats the Super Bowl.

  So welcome to Super Bowl week. I'm probably going to talk maybe
• 1:20
  on tomorrow's pod about some prop betting tips because I'm
• 1:23
  getting a lot of people, you know, kind of reaching out
• 1:25
  asking, you know, what props are you on?

  I have a whole philosophy when it comes to Super Bowl props.

  I'll give you just a couple, you know, real hints here and we'll
• 1:32
  have more of a deep dive later. But number one is just don't bet
• 1:36
  too many. I think the biggest mistake that
• 1:38
  a lot of new betters make is they get so excited for the game
• 1:41
  and they see all these numbers and prop bets get bigger and
• 1:43
  bigger every year. You talk to some odds makers and
• 1:46
  they'll tell you we know our handle, which you know, the
• 1:49
  amount of overall dollars wagered on the game.
• 1:52
  It's almost as big, if not more with props than the actual, you
• 1:56
  know, official spread money line in total.
• 1:58
  So they're super popular. People want to play them.
• 2:00
  I would just pick a couple. Don't I would, I would argue
• 2:03
  don't bet more than 5. Again, it's up to you how you
• 2:05
  want to play it. I know there's some people that
• 2:07
  bet, you know, 10 or 15 or 20 and make make some money and
• 2:09
  have a good Super Bowl. But I think the worst thing that
• 2:12
  you could happen is, you know, maybe you get your your side
• 2:15
  right. You pick the right ATS winner
• 2:17
  here, which I'm going to be on Pats plus 4 1/2, although I'm

  waiting for A5. You'd hate to win your huge
• 2:24
  spread bet and then go one and eight with your props, then have
• 2:26
  a big losing night, even though you, you know, you kept the the
• 2:29
  official game correctly. So let me your prop bets.

  I'd also lean on some nose, some minus numbers, some unders,
• 2:36
  because, you know, the public likes to bet bet yeses.

  Yes, there will be overtime. Yes, there will be a safety.

  They want big plus money numbers.
• 2:43
  They want to bet overs on player props.
• 2:45
  So a lot of pros like to go the other way and bet those nose
• 2:48
  minus numbers and unders and then also look for discrepancy
• 2:52
  plays. I mean, a lot of these props
• 2:53
  have already moved quite a bit. One recommendation
• 2:56
  recommendation that I would have for you guys is if you want to
• 2:58
  bet some props and you haven't bet any yet, just log into your
• 3:01
  sports betting app, whether it's DraftKings, FanDuel, Bet MGM,
• 3:04
  Caesars, whatever book that you have.

  Or if you even want to, you know, go have a couple books,
• 3:09
  but just screenshot them and then have a reference point and
• 3:12
  then give it a few days. And by the time we get to
• 3:14
  Friday, Saturday, see how they've moved, see which
• 3:16
  direction the line is moving. And if you look for a
• 3:18
  discrepancy plays where you know, wide receivers, I don't
• 3:23
  know, you know, yardage total is 85 and now it's down to 72.

  Maybe think about going the other way and playing the over
• 3:29
  72. So just some thoughts there, but
• 3:32
  I'll have a full breakdown and I will have a couple props for

  you, I'm sure. But I'm I'll have more for you

  guys in a bit because it is a Monday.

  I just wanted to, you know, update you guys on the Super

  Bowl. We're still sitting at patriots
• 3:45
  -4 1/2. Really interesting to me that we
• 3:48
  haven't gotten to five. Like a couple books are juicing
• 3:50
  up the Seattle side -4 1/2 -, 115.
• 3:53
  But they don't look like they want to go to five, which is
• 3:56
  notable because 66% of spread bets at DraftKings are on
• 3:59
  Seattle. So if they're the big public
• 4:01
  play, 2 out of 3 bets in the biggest sporting event of the
• 4:04
  year are going Seattle. Why aren't we up to five or five
• 4:07
  and a half? Tells me there's some liability
• 4:08
  there on New England Patriots are a big contrarian play.
• 4:11
  I want to bet against the public in a big nationally televised
• 4:14
  biggest sporting event of the year with the most public bias
• 4:16
  to go against. And I look at the splits at
• 4:19
  circa 33% bets, 47% dollars. Tells me smart money out in
• 4:23
  Vegas taking the points of New England.
• 4:25
  And remember, our friends at Rhythm have three models here,
• 4:29
  all recommending. Take the Patriots plus four and
• 4:31
  a half. One model is Pats plus 0.9 -,
• 4:35
  0.8 + 0.5. So rhythm is basically saying,

  hey, you can get 4 1/2 Patriots should be either favored by one

  or only a one point dog basically.

  So a lot of value there. Now just so happens that I do

  have a breakdown. So my official play I am a if

  you have if you don't know, I did stay at a Holiday Inn last
• 4:56
  night. What's how's that joke go?

  I'm not a doctor, but stay at the Holiday Inn.

  But anyway, I'm not just a podcast host, an author, betting

  made some plays earlier, but it's a 19 game slate and we have

  3 plays for you today. So I got a couple money line

  favorites and I got a kind of a short dog here.

  If you can hopefully get a good number on this one.

  So we'll have some college hoops to sweat, hopefully go 2IN1 eek

  out a winning day. Well, that being said, I thought

  it'd be fun. I just submitted this over the

  weekend. So I'll give you my official

  best bet, which again, I'm I'm waiting for A5, but as of now

  again, this article was had to be due by by today actually and

  here here's how here's how I broke it down.

  bet splits and follow historically profitable system

  matches, this Super Bowl is my Super Bowl at DraftKings.

  Roughly 70% of spread bets are laying the points with Seattle.

  As a result, right off the bat I automatically want to bet
• 6:20
  against the masses who are hammering Seattle and go against
• 6:23
  the grain by taking New England plus the points.
• 6:26
  Contrarian betting is a foundational philosophy and long
• 6:29
  term strategy because the public bets based on gut instinct,
• 6:33
  favoritism, and bias and loses far off far more often than they
• 6:36
  typically win. Contrarians like to go against
• 6:39
  the herd mentality and place themselves on the side of the
• 6:41
  house who always wins in the end.
• 6:43
  However, the key with going contrarian is focusing on the
• 6:46
  most heavily bet sports and in particular the most heavily bet
• 6:49
  games featuring the most public participation. the Super Bowl is
• 6:52
  the most heavily bet sporting event of the year by far.
• 6:56
  With an influx of public betters looking to get in on the action,
• 6:59
  contrarian values heightened which provides more incentive to
• 7:02
  zig when the masses zag. By taking the Patriots plus the
• 7:06
  points, I can bet against the public who is loading up on
• 7:08
  Seattle. I'm also a big believer in bet
• 7:11
  splits. By comparing the percentage of
• 7:13
  bets to the percentage of dollars, betters can cut through
• 7:16
  the noise and identify which side is taking the sharper
• 7:18
  action. At Circa, which caters to sharp
• 7:21
  betters, New England is only receiving 1/3 of tickets, but
• 7:24
  nearly half the money. This indicates a wise guy.
• 7:26
  Low bets, higher dollars, sharp contrarian split in favor of the
• 7:29
  Pats with a majority of smart money from the pros out in
• 7:32
  Vegas. Also taking Mike Vrabel and
• 7:34
  Drake May plus the points. Lastly, aside from just going
• 7:38
  contrarian and following the bet splits, the Patriots are a
• 7:40
  system play playoff. Dogs who missed the playoffs the
• 7:43
  previous year like the Patriots here, are four and one against
• 7:46
  the spread this postseason. They are now 30 and 13 against
• 7:49
  the spread, 70% with a 35% ROI since 2020.

  Super Bowl dogs are 15 and seven against the spread, 68% with a
• 7:58
  32% ROI since 2004. Super Bowl dogs getting three
• 8:02
  points or more are 11 and 4 ATS 73% with a 42% ROI since 2004.

  Lastly, as a die hard Patriots fan born and raised in New

  England, I'll be rooting for the Pats to win the game outright,

  but as a better, I'll be sweating the plus 4 1/2.

  That's my official breakdown. Well, that being said, let's get

  into some college hoops because nearly 20 games across the

  board, and I got all games that are kind of, you know,

  overlooked obscure sharp line move plays.

  So I know there's some big games here.

  Biggest one is Kansas and Texas Tech.

  It's mostly Texas Tech -4 1/2 Publix on Tech.

  But there's a question mark of whether Peterson will play for
• 9:10
  Kansas. And then the only other kind of
• 9:13
  big one was North Carolina, Syracuse.

  But I was looking at some other games that kind of fit our model
• 9:17
  of trying to isolate and take advantage of of obscure sharp
• 9:21
  line moves, many of which are are added game extra games.

  So the first bit on the board for me, let's look at a 7:00 tip
• 9:29
  off Florida A&M against Alabama State.

  Now going into this one, we have Florida A and M8 and 11 on the
• 9:37
  year. They've dropped two straight.

  Just came up short against Alabama A&M 72 to 65, did not
• 9:44
  cover as a 3 1/2 point Rd. dog. Meanwhile, Alabama State 6 and
• 9:48
  15 on the year. They've also lost two in a row.

  Just fell to Bethune Cookman 6954.
• 9:53
  Did not cover as a 2 point home dog.

  So. What do you see across the
• 9:57
  market here? Well, this game open with
• 9:58
  Alabama State listed around a 2 1/2 point home favorite.

  And I'll just add, you know, Alabama State is 6 and 15.

  Pretty bad record. Florida A&M is 8 and 11.

  Yeah, homecourt for Alabama State here, But wouldn't you

  imagine Florida A&M better record should maybe be favored
• 10:13
  or pick em game? Well, again, it opened at -2 1/2

  Alabama State and it's only gotten higher in favor of
• 10:21
  Alabama State -2 1/2. Now up to -3 1/2.

  You look at the splits, Alabama State 54% of spread bets, 60% of
• 10:29
  spread dollars at DraftKings over at circa 65% bets, 67%
• 10:35
  dollars. So both books have low bets,
• 10:37
  higher dollar splits in favor of Alabama State.

  Now the line movement and bet split discrepancy is even more
• 10:43
  important to me because this is an added slash extra game.

  So 6 digit rotation number, Vegas ID, NSS number, whatever
• 10:51
  you want to call it. When you walk into the sports
• 10:53
  book that LED board, you know that has a three digit number.

  I'm not talking the juice to the right next to the odds, but to

  the left of where the team name is.

  It's game three O 650-330-6504. So that tells me it's a low back

  game. And again, no one woke up on

  Monday of the Super Bowl week saying I got a bet.

  Florida A&M, Alabama State can't even find this game on their

  app. But the fact that this line is

  moved -2 1/2 toward 2 -, 3 1/2 in favor of Alabama State tells

  me that pro money here is leaning Alabama State.

  Now Alabama State, according to Ken Palm, is predicted to win by

  two points. So I don't want to lay 3 1/2 and
• 11:27
  have Alabama State win by 1-2 or three and lose my bet.

  So I did money line Alabama State.

  It's a little bit pricey. I don't like going much higher
• 11:35
  than this. But I did get -170 on Alabama
• 11:38
  State to win this game at the Score, formerly ESPN bet Shop

  around. Still your best price.

  Some other books are closer to -180 though, so try to get the
• 11:46
  best number. Alabama State does have the
• 11:48
  better offensive efficiency. 3 O 9th in the country versus 300
• 11:52
  and 37th for Florida A&M. Better offensive rebound

  percentage, so extra chance and put backs. 150th in the country
• 12:00
  versus 264th for Florida A&M and better free throw percentage.

  234th versus 300 and 44th. Alabama State.

  Also does a better job of not turning it over on offense.

  They ranked 296th in turnover percentage.

  Doesn't sound great, but out Florida A&M they ranked 358th.

  Lastly, Alabama State, only two and two at home this year.

  SO500. Haven't played a lot of home

  games, but Ford A and M2 and 9:00 on the road.

  Really struggle on the road here, so it's an added extra

  game. Low bet, obscure sharp line

  move. But it's pretty clear based on

  this movement that pros are going Alabama State.

  So I'm going Alabama State to win this game on the money line

  -170 at the score. I want to protect myself on the

  off chance they win by three or less.

  So what do we see across the market here will this?

  Game open pretty much at a pick em right down the middle here

  interesting to me. You know what are the odds

  makers? Obviously they're saying it's

  it's about an even game, but how do the pros react to a pick em

  game like this? You know if they have a pick em

  as well, No need to bet it no edge whatsoever.

  Remember, pros only bet if they have an edge, typically

  comparing their numbers to what the odds makers are offering.

  So the fact that this line has moved toward Nickel State, and

  again, they used to be Nichols State, Now I see that they're

  called Nichols on ESPNI don't remember when that change was

  made. Weird things you notice, I

  guess. But anyway, we've seen Nichols

  steam up from a pick to a 1 1/2 point Rd. favorite.

  So again, that tells me that when it opened at a pick, wise

  guys were saying this ain't a pick.

  So we saw that line move in favor of Nichols.

  Now you look at DK Nichols is getting 50% of spread bets, 58%

  of spread dollars. So good low bets, higher dollar

  split in their favor and once again added extra game.

  But based on this line move, we can infer the pros have taken a

  So pretty cheap price. Now you're looking at most shops

  on -115 -, 120. But I did notice that DK Nichols

  57% of money line bets, 62% of money line dollars.

  So good low bets, higher dollar, straight up to wins split here

  in favor of Nichols. Nichols couple advantages jumped

  out to me. Better defensive efficiency 240,

  third versus 300 and 17th for Northwestern State.

  Better offensive rebound percentage, 293rd versus 300 and

  30th and they do a better job of forcing turnovers on defense

  actually 12th in the country, believe it or not, turning their

  So added extra game open at a pick, but all movements toward

  So going into it we got Weber State 11 and 11 on the year just

  snapped A3 game losing skid with an 81 to 79 win over Idaho State

  did not cover though as 2 1/2 point home favorites.

  On the other hand, Sacramento State 8 and 13 on the year they

  let's see, have 1-2 in a row just held off Montana 86 to 79,

  one outright as a 3 1/2 point home dog.

  So what do you see across the board here?

  Well, this game open with Weber State listed as a one Point Rd.

  favorite and the public says Weber State all day.

  Weber State has the better record there, 11 and 11, kind of

  a bigger name school versus Sacramento State, only 8 and 13

  obviously losing record. So the short number and a better
• 16:43
  record, you got to go Weber State, right?

  That's what the public's doing as you're getting across the
• 16:48
  market. Nearly 2/3 of bets on Weber
• 16:50
  State now. Weber State has kind of been
• 16:53
  bouncing around. They are -1 -, 1 1/2.

  Earlier today the sign got down to a pick and even went to
• 16:58
  Sacramento state -1 - 1 1/2. I jumped on Sacramento State

  plus one. I am seeing some books now

  offering plus 1 1/2 on Sacramento State.

  Pretty juiced up -120 - 115. If you did want to be bold and

  go money line, that's an option to you.

  But if you can get the hook on the 1 1/2, I'd grab it just on
• 17:19
  the off chance Sacramento State loses by 1, you can cover that

  number. But a couple reasons to like
• 17:25
  Sacramento State in the spot. It's still a very, very short
• 17:28
  number here in favor of Weber State, even though the public's
• 17:30
  pounding them. And this is not an added extra
• 17:33
  game. This is the last game of the
• 17:34
  night. 10:00 So this is a a true public bias play.

  So it's kind of a bit of a line freeze, I guess at this point.

  Like at one point it was a true feed the trendy dog, reverse

  line move dog to fave move. Because Sacramento State, when I

  wrote the Sharp report for visa.com, they were clearly -1

  -, 1 1/2. So it has kind of come back to a

  Weber State, but I'm still going to go contrarian at home in this

  spot, especially if you can get that 1 1/2.

  A couple things to like about Sacramento State.

  They have the better free throw, shooting 16th in the country
• 18:03
  versus 200 and 45th for Weber State.

  Big advantage of the free throw stripe.

  They take better care of the ball, 64th and turnover
• 18:10
  percentage 154th for Weber State.

  This is also a revenge spot. So the Hornets, the Sacramento
• 18:16
  State Hornets, they played Weber State back on January 3rd,
• 18:20
  almost exactly a month ago on the road at Weber State.

  They lost 9582 and we do have some good home Rd. splits.

  Sacramento State is 8 and one at home this year.

  Weber State is 3 and seven on the road.

  So I jumped on a plus one. I'm kind of annoyed that some

  books are up to 1 1/2 now, but I'm going to stick here and
