Cartel Tied Fentanyl Smuggler Sentenced | Durham News
A 24-year-old cartel-linked drug trafficker, Omar Antonio Jarmillo-Meza, just got a 12-year federal sentence for flooding U.S. streets with 130,000 fake fentanyl pills and cocaine — all disguised as real meds. He was caught working with an informant who led investigators to his operation, which had already shipped 3,000 pills in April 2022, then exploded with 80,000 more in February 2023 and another 20,000 by June.
