- 0:00Speaker 1: In Canfield. News Radio 570 WKBN. All right, 625, some
- 0:05Speaker 1: quick calls, if you will. You're on.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Air.
- 0:10Speaker 3: You too.
- 0:11Speaker 2: I think this is important. There were two different instances.
- 0:15Speaker 2: One was the Henry Novak situation in England, and that
- 0:19Speaker 2: actually happened in December. Six months had passed, and they
- 0:23Speaker 2: covered it up. Six months had passed. Finally, stuff starts
- 0:27Speaker 2: to come out because of the trial. And that's why
- 0:29Speaker 2: the English are so upset. And then this whole other
- 0:34Speaker 2: gentleman in Ireland that got attacked, you know, that was
- 0:39Speaker 2: just a couple days ago. And so now Ireland is
- 0:42Speaker 2: on fire. And it happened in Belfast. So the one
- 0:46Speaker 2: was by a EU and the other was by a
- 0:48Speaker 2: Sudanese man. But my question is, like, so is there
- 0:54Speaker 2: any hope for the members of the EU? Are you
- 1:00Speaker 2: familiar at all with their charter, and can they remove
- 1:06Speaker 2: von der Leyen, or is it just a matter of
- 1:09Speaker 2: they just need to leave?
- 1:12Speaker 4: It's sort of like John Thune here, right? I mean,
- 1:14Speaker 4: he does nothing that he was hired to do, and
- 1:17Speaker 4: yet we can't remove him. It's kind of the same thing,
- 1:19Speaker 4: because she's elected by the members of the parliament. And
- 1:23Speaker 4: so you've got to go through cycles of elections, and
- 1:26Speaker 4: you've got to win. and they continue to elect radicals.
- 1:29Speaker 4: But if you look at some of the, like the
- 1:31Speaker 4: AFD in Germany is growing in popularity very well in
- 1:35Speaker 4: the last election. You see groups now in England that
- 1:38Speaker 4: are beginning to get traction who are absolutely pro-UK.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Reform UK.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Yes, reform, exactly. So you've got these groups getting traction
- 1:50Speaker 4: across Europe, and the truth is it takes a massive...
- 1:56Speaker 4: a massive effort by the population to really make the
- 1:58Speaker 4: change because, like here, so much of the population is
- 2:01Speaker 4: ignorant and complacent, or duped, like the Marxist leftists here,
- 2:06Speaker 4: that they won't, they'll let their country be taken over.
- 2:09Speaker 4: They don't care as long as they get another party.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Go ahead, Colin, go ahead. It's hard to comprehend because,
- 2:15Speaker 2: you know, we elect a president every four years, yet
- 2:18Speaker 2: Keir Starmer seems to be losing power, yet, you know,
- 2:21Speaker 2: he says he's just going to stay. Like, that's just
- 2:24Speaker 2: his edict.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Well, he could stay until the government falls, but look
- 2:29Speaker 4: at the last few when they fell. I mean, Theresa
- 2:33Speaker 4: May may have tried to do a couple things, but
- 2:35Speaker 4: she was only there for a few minutes. And, you know,
- 2:39Speaker 4: that Rashid, I can't remember his last name. You know,
- 2:41Speaker 4: they've had a series of prime ministers. It really doesn't
- 2:44Speaker 4: matter if they take one out because the one that
- 2:47Speaker 4: comes after them is the same until the English people
- 2:50Speaker 4: rise up and begin to take back their city governments
- 2:53Speaker 4: in places like London and Birmingham. I don't think they're
- 2:56Speaker 4: going to have to do the same thing in Parliament.
- 2:58Speaker 4: It's going to take a massive turnout that overcomes fraud
- 3:01Speaker 4: and where the political landscape is dramatically changed quickly.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Do you agree with what G2 has been saying about
- 3:10Speaker 1: the situation in the EU and Ireland, caller?
- 3:12Speaker 2: Oh, absolutely. I just wanted to emphasize that they were
- 3:16Speaker 2: separate attacks because this isn't an isolated incident. This is
- 3:20Speaker 2: happening all over Western Europe. For Western Europe.
- 3:26Speaker 4: You've got the knife attacks. You've got the acid attacks.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Remember when acid attacks were coming?
- 3:32Speaker 1: And a rape that's going on. Why do you think
- 3:34Speaker 1: this is happening, caller?
- 3:37Speaker 2: Well, obviously, it's because of the import of, like G2
- 3:42Speaker 2: has been saying, I mean, fighter-age males. You notice they
- 3:46Speaker 2: never bring females over.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I'm out of time. Thank you for your call. Thank you, G2.
- 3:53Speaker 1: We'll pick it up next week. Appreciate it. Guardians coming up.
- 3:56Speaker 5: For the first of three against the Tigers here at
- 3:59Speaker 5: Progressive Field. And it's the weekly minor league report with
- 4:03Speaker 5: assistant player development director Will Huntington coming up on Guardians Warm-Up.
- 4:10Speaker 6: This is Cleveland Guardians Baseball. The Guardian's Warm-Up Show is
- 4:15Speaker 6: brought to you by Cleveland Clinic. For everyone, everywhere, for
- 4:20Speaker 6: every care in the world. By Progressive. Bundle home and
- 4:24Speaker 6: auto and save at Progressive.com. By Bet365. Where winning is everything.
- 4:32Speaker 7: Stadium GM. West State Street in Salem. Valentine Roofing. By
- 4:37Speaker 7: Bernard Daniels Lumber and Home Center. And by Elite Pharmacy.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Good evening, everyone.
- 4:57Speaker 5: Welcome to the Bet365 Guardians warm-up show. Tonight, from Progressive
- 5:02Speaker 5: Field in downtown Cleveland, it's the Guardians and the Detroit Tigers'
- 5:07Speaker 5: opening game of a three-game weekend series. Jim Rosenhouse, along
- 5:11Speaker 5: with you, about a half hour prior to tonight's first
- 5:13Speaker 5: pitch on a great baseball night downtown, and a Guardians
- 5:17Speaker 5: ball club trying to get back on the winning track,
- 5:19Speaker 5: they've dropped four straight. And they find themselves in second
- 5:23Speaker 5: place in the division for the first time in a
- 5:26Speaker 5: long time. They are a half game behind the White
- 5:28Speaker 5: Sox in the AL Central heading into play tonight. They're
- 5:31Speaker 5: facing a suddenly surging Tiger Ball Club that is 7-2
- 5:35Speaker 5: in the month of June. And they're still in fourth place,
- 5:38Speaker 5: eight games off the pace being set by the White Sox.
- 5:42Speaker 5: Stay tuned. We'll have more to come after this. Welcome
- 6:24Speaker 5: back to Guardians Warm-Up. We are joined now by the
- 6:26Speaker 5: Assistant Director of Player Development, Will Huntington, who's going to
- 6:30Speaker 5: bring us up to date on all the good things
- 6:32Speaker 5: going on with the Akron Rubber Ducks. They've been in
- 6:34Speaker 5: Erie for a little bit, and Will, you had a
- 6:37Speaker 5: chance to see that club up there, and I know
- 6:40Speaker 5: some players have moved on to AAA Columbus, but some
- 6:43Speaker 5: others have moved in, and why don't we start right
- 6:45Speaker 5: there with Luke Hill, who started his year at Lake County,
- 6:49Speaker 5: but now is at AA, and It seems like he
- 6:52Speaker 5: hasn't missed a beat moving up a level.
- 6:54Speaker 8: Yeah, absolutely.
- 6:55Speaker 3: It's been awesome to see the way Luke's kind of
- 6:57Speaker 3: just continued to do what he was doing in Lake
- 6:59Speaker 3: County once reaching the AA level.
- 7:01Speaker 8: You know, Luke's a really high-energy guy. He's a competitor.
- 7:05Speaker 8: He's a worker.
- 7:06Speaker 3: It's really cool to see the energy he brings to
- 7:08Speaker 3: the dugout, to infield work, to batting practice, everything he does.
- 7:12Speaker 3: And that shows up in the way his game translates to.
- 7:16Speaker 8: The AA level.
- 7:17Speaker 3: He does some things that are really exciting from an
- 7:18Speaker 3: offensive perspective. He's a really good decision-maker at the plate.
- 7:22Speaker 3: He's a guy that's going to hunt and attack pitches
- 7:24Speaker 3: in zone, while also being a guy that's going to
- 7:26Speaker 3: be able to work the count, not going to chase
- 7:28Speaker 3: a ton. So that's something we've seen that's really exciting.
- 7:31Speaker 3: He's a guy with some bat speed, some strength, some
- 7:32Speaker 3: ability to impact the baseball. Kind of a swing that
- 7:36Speaker 3: typically sets up to impact the ball to the opposite
- 7:39Speaker 3: field and kind of use the whole field. He's learning
- 7:41Speaker 3: to pull the ball a little bit and kind of
- 7:42Speaker 3: use all fields, which is really exciting for us. You know,
- 7:45Speaker 3: he's a guy we've seen play both second and third. And,
- 7:48Speaker 3: you know, there's some really exciting physical tools that we're
- 7:51Speaker 3: seeing out of Luke. You know, he can really throw
- 7:52Speaker 3: the baseball.
- 7:53Speaker 8: He can run.
- 7:53Speaker 3: We think that's going to translate to a really well-rounded
- 7:55Speaker 3: overall player. Someone who's going to get on base a ton.
- 7:58Speaker 8: Someone who's going to hit for power. Someone who's going
- 8:00Speaker 8: to be able to, when he's on base, steal bases
- 8:02Speaker 8: and impact the game in that way and be able
- 8:04Speaker 8: to play a couple positions.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Also, again, being that, you know, guy that's going to
- 8:07Speaker 3: bring some energy, bring some competitiveness to the dugout.
- 8:11Speaker 5: It's interesting it. He was part of that draft class
- 8:14Speaker 5: a year ago of college-drafted players who it seemed like
- 8:18Speaker 5: they all ended up at Lake County to start the season,
- 8:20Speaker 5: and now he's on the move. But that group as
- 8:23Speaker 5: a whole, it seems like it's really exciting, and it
- 8:26Speaker 5: sounds like he maybe set himself apart, at least initially,
- 8:29Speaker 5: to get that call to Akron.
- 8:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it's one of those things where, to
- 8:33Speaker 3: your point, that draft class as a whole has been
- 8:36Speaker 3: really exciting and can't say enough good things about the
- 8:39Speaker 3: strides that a lot of those guys have made, whether
- 8:41Speaker 3: it's Luke or some of the other guys that have
- 8:43Speaker 3: been at that level, just lined up that there was
- 8:45Speaker 3: a great opportunity.
- 8:47Speaker 8: And, you know, Luke really did, you know, perform extremely well.
- 8:52Speaker 3: If you look at his month of May, he was
- 8:53Speaker 3: named the, I think, the Midwest League Player of the
- 8:56Speaker 3: Month for May. And so obviously a lot of the
- 8:58Speaker 3: things that we've been able to see from him on
- 9:00Speaker 3: the field have been really, really impressive and kind of
- 9:03Speaker 3: helped him make that jump up to double A.
- 9:06Speaker 5: We'll switch to the mound in just a moment, but
- 9:08Speaker 5: we'll take a short break and be back with more
- 9:10Speaker 5: with Will Huntington after this.
- 9:12Speaker 9: Here's the Bet365 Minute, where winning is everything, with Scott Davidson.
- 9:17Speaker 10: Let's check the numbers tonight, game one from Progressive Field.
- 9:20Speaker 10: The Guardians, the favorite, they're minus 125, and the total
- 9:23Speaker 10: is 8.5. And off that winter Wednesday on Tampa Bay,
- 9:26Speaker 10: let's get a weekend run going here. I like the
- 9:28Speaker 10: Dodgers on the money line tonight over the first place
- 9:31Speaker 10: White Sox. Now, The Dodgers are the best in baseball
- 9:34Speaker 10: offensively at 5.4. The White Sox hang with them. They
- 9:37Speaker 10: average 4.7 runs a game. The difference is defensively. The
- 9:41Speaker 10: Dodgers are number one overall. They only allow 3.3 runs
- 9:45Speaker 10: a game, and their bats are on fire. They've scored
- 9:47Speaker 10: eight or more in three consecutive games. Dodgers money line.
- 9:51Speaker 10: That's my play of the day today. Now, you can
- 9:53Speaker 10: join me when you download the Bet365 app. Remember, you
- 9:56Speaker 10: bet this or any money line all season long, your
- 9:58Speaker 10: team ever goes up by five runs or more, you
- 10:00Speaker 10: win even if they don't. It's the MLB early payout.
- 10:03Speaker 10: Terms and conditions apply. And that's the Bet365 Minute. I'm
- 10:06Speaker 10: Scott Davidson.
- 10:07Speaker 11: Gambling problem?
- 10:08Speaker 1: Call 1-800-MY-RESET. 21 plus only.
- 10:10Speaker 9: Must be physically located in Ohio.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Welcome back.
- 10:16Speaker 5: It's Guardians Warm-Up. Will Huntington's joining us. He's the Assistant
- 10:19Speaker 5: Director of Player Development. Our weekly minor league report. We're
- 10:23Speaker 5: talking AA Akron this week, and we switched to the mound. Will,
- 10:27Speaker 5: I know a lot of people are excited to see
- 10:29Speaker 5: the continued progress of Justin Campbell. Man, it took him
- 10:32Speaker 5: a long time to get healthy enough to show what
- 10:34Speaker 5: he can do, but it seems like it's starting to
- 10:37Speaker 5: get there now at the AA level. For fans who
- 10:40Speaker 5: don't know, how much has he overcome injury-wise? to be
- 10:44Speaker 5: able to go out there and pitch now at Akron.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Yeah, Justin's been able, I mean, he's overcome, it's been
- 10:49Speaker 3: a long road for him to get here and it's
- 10:51Speaker 3: been incredible to see what he's been able to do
- 10:53Speaker 3: since getting back. He's a guy that, you know, he
- 10:55Speaker 3: was part of the same draft class as guys like
- 10:57Speaker 3: Chase DeLauder, Parker Messick, out of college as well with
- 11:00Speaker 3: those guys and just several years of kind of recurring injuries.
- 11:05Speaker 8: But the way he's gone about his business, the way
- 11:07Speaker 8: he's gone.
- 11:07Speaker 3: About his rehab and the way he's partnered with our
- 11:09Speaker 3: staff to get him here, we've had a ton of
- 11:11Speaker 3: people that have poured time and effort as well as
- 11:13Speaker 3: Justin has into getting him back to where he is today.
- 11:16Speaker 8: And it's been awesome. It's been such an organizational win.
- 11:18Speaker 3: It's been such a cool thing to see the way
- 11:21Speaker 3: he's shown up and not only gotten back on the mound,
- 11:23Speaker 3: but done so in a way that's been, you know,
- 11:26Speaker 3: truly dominant, you know, some of the performance he put
- 11:28Speaker 3: up in high A in the Midwest league with Lake
- 11:31Speaker 3: County was, you know, striking out a ton of hitters,
- 11:35Speaker 3: limiting walks at a good clip, limiting damage, And we've
- 11:38Speaker 3: seen a lot of that, you know, a lot of
- 11:39Speaker 3: the really exciting things that he's been able to do,
- 11:41Speaker 3: carry over to the AA level. We've been able to
- 11:43Speaker 3: see him, you know, take on a little bit larger workload,
- 11:45Speaker 3: work deeper into games. Obviously a guy that, you know,
- 11:48Speaker 3: big frame, striker, there's a lot of things to be
- 11:50Speaker 3: really excited about. Also trying to be mindful of, you know,
- 11:53Speaker 3: the best buildup and, you know, what's going to work
- 11:55Speaker 3: best for him.
- 11:57Speaker 8: But really, I mean, we've seen about as good as
- 11:59Speaker 8: we could.
- 12:00Speaker 3: Have, you know, hoped for and expected with Justin, some
- 12:02Speaker 3: of the things he's been able to show.
- 12:04Speaker 8: It's a well-rounded mix.
- 12:05Speaker 3: It's five pitches, the ability to get lefties and righties out,
- 12:08Speaker 3: a guy that's.
- 12:09Speaker 8: Kind of finding his way in affiliate life and also
- 12:14Speaker 8: kind of emerging as a bit of a leader on staff.
- 12:16Speaker 3: So it's been really cool to see the way that
- 12:18Speaker 3: Justin has kind of been putting the pieces together both
- 12:20Speaker 3: on and off the field after all that he's overcome.
- 12:23Speaker 5: All good stuff at AA Akron, to be sure. Will,
- 12:26Speaker 5: thanks a lot for coming by this week, and we'll
- 12:27Speaker 5: catch up with you down the road.
- 12:29Speaker 8: Sounds great.
- 12:30Speaker 12: Thanks.
- 12:31Speaker 5: That is Will Huntington, Assistant Director of Player Development for
- 12:34Speaker 5: the Guardians.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Stay tuned.
- 12:35Speaker 5: More to come after this.
- 12:37Speaker 13: T-Mobile has an exclusive bundle for customers 55 and up.

- 12:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm Frank Bull.

- 12:47Speaker 11: it's been wonderful. And going to the 55-plus plan saved

- 12:53Speaker 11: And that's important, trying to keep costs down. The home
- 12:56Speaker 11: internet's been perfect. It's fast, it's quick. The setup was

- 13:41Speaker 11: I can't believe the deal we got on these seats.
- 13:43Speaker 15: For the game.
- 13:43Speaker 11: Wow. They must be pretty high up here. I think
- 13:45Speaker 11: my ears just popped.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Put this on.
- 13:48Speaker 11: Is that an oxygen mask?
- 13:50Speaker 6: An official team oxygen mask.
- 13:52Speaker 16: Well, I can kind of see the field.
- 13:54Speaker 9: Good.
- 13:54Speaker 10: Your senses are still sharp.
- 13:55Speaker 1: You're going to need them for phase two of the ascent.

- 14:39Speaker 5: Welcome back to the Bet365 Guardians Warm-Up Show. Let's check
- 14:43Speaker 5: in on our Northeast Ohio pregame weather forecast from WKYC.
- 14:47Speaker 5: It's presented by Window World.
- 14:50Speaker 18: Cold front has moved by, and now it's cooler and
- 14:53Speaker 18: less humid. Clear skies all evening and overnight long. Evening
- 14:56Speaker 18: temps falling out of the 70s. Overnight lows in the
- 14:59Speaker 18: lower 60s. Saturday, we're heating up, but humidity staying low.
- 15:03Speaker 18: Bright sun, a high of 88. From the 3 News
- 15:06Speaker 18: Weather Center, I'm Mark Johnson.
- 15:09Speaker 5: Couldn't ask for a better night at the ballpark? Tom
- 15:11Speaker 5: Hamilton will check in with manager Stephen Vogt when we
- 15:13Speaker 5: come back. It's the Key Bank Manager Show next.
- 15:16Speaker 8: 855-815-GOLD.
- 15:19Speaker 16: Hi again, everybody.
- 15:30Speaker 6: With Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt, this is Tom Hamilton. Welcome.
- 15:33Speaker 6: It's the Manager Show brought to you by Key Bank. Well,
- 15:37Speaker 6: the Yankees are out of town. You're done playing them
- 15:40Speaker 6: until hopefully October, and you get back in the division.
- 15:44Speaker 6: And before we start talking in specifics here, you have
- 15:48Speaker 6: not played many games in the division. Now, you'll end
- 15:52Speaker 6: up with the same amount, but it's kind of bizarre
- 15:54Speaker 6: that way.
- 15:55Speaker 14: Yeah, I feel like we've played a lot of National
- 15:56Speaker 14: League teams so far this year and some really good ones.
- 15:59Speaker 14: And so it's been a different schedule. It's been a
- 16:02Speaker 14: different balance. But like you said, everyone plays everyone. Everyone
- 16:04Speaker 14: plays the same amount of games in division.
- 16:06Speaker 1: And Here we go.
- 16:07Speaker 14: We've got our second go at it with the Tigers.
- 16:10Speaker 6: Voter, even though you're not 19 games per division full,
- 16:14Speaker 6: you're still 13, and you won the division title last
- 16:18Speaker 6: year because you were the best team within the division.
- 16:20Speaker 6: Is that still critically important?
- 16:22Speaker 14: I think so. Again, we love playing our divisional opponents.
- 16:26Speaker 14: We know that the games mean more. We know that
- 16:29Speaker 14: they help us in the long run, but If anything else,
- 16:32Speaker 14: we're familiar with them, and they're familiar with us. So
- 16:34Speaker 14: that's why these games are always battles when we play
- 16:37Speaker 14: divisional opponents.
- 16:38Speaker 6: Seems like a long time ago that you swept the
- 16:40Speaker 6: four-game series in Detroit. It's a totally different club now.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Yeah, they're healthy.
- 16:45Speaker 14: I mean, they're getting healthier, and obviously we're going to
- 16:48Speaker 14: see some different pitching this weekend. But, you know, again,
- 16:52Speaker 14: these two teams know each other. Even though they were hurt,
- 16:55Speaker 14: we know about these guys. We know what they can do,
- 16:58Speaker 14: and it's going to be a really fun weekend.
- 17:01Speaker 6: The thing they've turned it around with has been their offense,
- 17:03Speaker 6: and they get a number of those guys back, but
- 17:05Speaker 6: they lead the league in slug, they lead the league
- 17:08Speaker 6: in runs scored in the month of June. You've gone
- 17:11Speaker 6: the other way. How do you get that back?
- 17:13Speaker 1: Go play.
- 17:15Speaker 14: Everybody goes through ebbs and flows, and it's like I
- 17:18Speaker 14: always tell the guys, there's no prize for first place
- 17:20Speaker 14: in May, or there's no prize for first place in June.
- 17:23Speaker 14: All that matters is at the end of the year,
- 17:24Speaker 14: we're playing our best baseball, and we're at the top,
- 17:26Speaker 14: and we have to grind through these times tough stretches.
- 17:29Speaker 14: Every team's going to go through little lulls. Every team's
- 17:32Speaker 14: going to have, oh man, what's going on with the
- 17:34Speaker 14: offense the last week? You guys haven't gotten a hit. Well, yeah,
- 17:36Speaker 14: what about the seven weeks before that? We were getting
- 17:38Speaker 14: some hits. So we got to continue to stay consistent
- 17:41Speaker 14: with our work and stay consistent with helping these guys
- 17:44Speaker 14: develop and get better. And that's what the coaching staff
- 17:46Speaker 14: is doing.
- 17:47Speaker 6: Well, and obviously it seems like every game comes down
- 17:50Speaker 6: to innings seven, eight, and nine. One thing about your
- 17:53Speaker 6: young kids, they're getting Battle tested as far as batting
- 17:58Speaker 6: with the game on the line late. Yeah.
- 18:00Speaker 14: And, you know, the other thing, too, that I talked
- 18:02Speaker 14: with Travis and Chase both this last week of you
- 18:05Speaker 14: guys just got a taste of playing the New York Yankees.
- 18:09Speaker 1: And those games were not comfortable.
- 18:11Speaker 14: They were close. And you guys are hitting at the
- 18:13Speaker 14: top of the order, which means you're facing the starter
- 18:15Speaker 14: three times and you're facing the cream of the crop bullpen.
- 18:18Speaker 14: And so helping them understand this experience that you're getting
- 18:21Speaker 14: playing these meaningful games.
- 18:22Speaker 6: How tired are you?
- 18:23Speaker 9: Yes.
- 18:25Speaker 14: Exhausted because mentally physically emotionally it is exhausting when you're
- 18:29Speaker 14: playing these type of games and so i think these
- 18:31Speaker 14: learning opportunities are going to be huge in the long
- 18:34Speaker 14: run for these guys.
- 18:35Speaker 6: And it's obviously important you keep your pulse on them
- 18:38Speaker 6: too right.
- 18:38Speaker 14: Yeah absolutely check in with them almost every day so
- 18:41Speaker 14: um all of our coaches all of our staff we
- 18:44Speaker 14: are working our backsides off to help these guys develop
- 18:46Speaker 14: and learn and boy are they fun to watch.
- 18:48Speaker 6: This might be one of the best days ever. Could
- 18:51Speaker 6: be today, could be tomorrow, could be Sunday, but Daniel
- 18:54Speaker 6: Espino is here. It is such a good story.
- 18:58Speaker 14: Just so thrilled for Daniel, his family, everything he's been
- 19:02Speaker 14: through injury-wise, and what a really cool story for our organization,
- 19:07Speaker 14: the medical staff in particular, that we helped this kid
- 19:11Speaker 14: get through this. He was an unbelievable person and teammate
- 19:14Speaker 14: through the process, and I couldn't be more happy that
- 19:17Speaker 14: Daniel Espino is going to get to throw a major
- 19:18Speaker 14: league pitch here this weekend at some point.
- 19:20Speaker 6: How much can you use him?
- 19:23Speaker 14: I mean, he's built up. He's ready to be a
- 19:24Speaker 14: bullpen arm. He's ready to handle the rigors of that.
- 19:27Speaker 14: Obviously we're going to be very mindful of how we
- 19:30Speaker 14: use him, but he is healthy. He is pitching and
- 19:33Speaker 14: we can't wait to give him the ball late.
- 19:35Speaker 6: In the game. Well, there are obviously perfect scenarios. You're
- 19:39Speaker 6: up eight to nothing. He gets to make his debut.
- 19:41Speaker 6: Never works that way, does it?
- 19:43Speaker 14: No, it doesn't. Um, We always look for a soft landing,
- 19:47Speaker 14: so to speak. There's no soft landings in the big leagues.
- 19:49Speaker 14: and there's no soft landings with us. So Daniel will
- 19:52Speaker 14: get the ball when it's his turn, and like I said,
- 19:54Speaker 14: we're just beyond thrilled for him.
- 19:56Speaker 6: Hey, what about Eric Sabrowski? Is he getting close?
- 19:59Speaker 14: He threw a live batting practice yesterday, so he faced
- 20:01Speaker 14: hitters for the first time. So we need to see
- 20:04Speaker 14: how he feels playing catch today, and then we'll determine
- 20:06Speaker 14: the next steps for him.
- 20:07Speaker 6: Will he have to go out on a rehab before
- 20:09Speaker 6: you bring him back?
- 20:10Speaker 1: Definitely.
- 20:10Speaker 14: Yeah, we need to make sure that he throws at
- 20:12Speaker 14: least once, if not twice, to make sure that he's
- 20:15Speaker 14: not feeling anything because we know how valuable he is
- 20:18Speaker 14: to us, and we need to do what's right for
- 20:20Speaker 14: him and for us in the long term.
