Big dogs in need of forever homes are getting a major boost this weekend at Oakland Animal Services, where dozens of gentle giants over 25 pounds are available for free adoption thanks to a generous anonymous donor who’s also a big dog lover and foster parent. With 79 large dogs currently housed—well past their 73-pup limit—the shelter is racing to find new families to free up space for more rescues.
