They confronted me in my day of calamity, but the LORD was my support. — Psalm 18:18

Human strength and false hopes crumble in the day of calamity; the Lord alone is the rock that holds His people up. He surrounds those who fear Him with His protecting presence and upholds them with His everlasting arms. Salvation comes by sheer grace, so that believers can face every enemy with confident trust.
