  - where we're talking about families carrying heavy burdens.

  - Scriptural text comes from Joshua twenty four fifteen
• 2:49
  - and says, as for me and my household,
• 2:52
  - we will serve the Lord.

  - We wanna start today's episode by saying that
• 2:58
  - families
• 3:00
  - are complicated.
• 3:02
  - And sometimes even the closest families are just
• 3:05
  - not going to get along.
• 3:08
  - I remember
• 3:10
  - years ago when my daughter was little,
• 3:15
  - it didn't matter how many different strategies or
• 3:18
  - different ways
• 3:20
  - I gave her
• 3:21
  - to to get her to understand or try
• 3:23
  - to understand what it was I was telling
• 3:25
  - her.
• 3:26
  - She just wasn't gonna budge.
• 3:28
  - And sometimes
• 3:29
  - that not budging
• 3:31
  - caused the whole house sometimes to go into
• 3:33
  - chaos.
• 3:35
  - But what I began to realize was
• 3:39
  - it wasn't such a thing of
• 3:42
  - agreeing or not agreeing. It was an issue
• 3:45
  - of trying to exceed the other person's perspective
• 3:49
  - and talking things out.
• 3:52
  - Everyone has different personalities and everyone has different
• 3:56
  - perspectives.
• 3:57
  - And every family,
• 3:59
  - despite their best efforts,
• 4:01
  - are gonna experience seasons that test our faith.
• 4:05
  - Misunderstandings
• 4:07
  - or health concerns, whether it's financial pressures, or
• 4:10
  - maybe you're facing a situation where
• 4:13
  - your child is in a prodigal situation,
• 4:16
  - or maybe broken relationships.
• 4:20
  - Any
• 4:21
  - number of things
• 4:23
  - can lead to
• 4:25
  - feeling
• 4:27
  - overwhelmed,
• 4:28
  - and the weight
• 4:29
  - can be really, really
• 4:34
  - detrimental sometimes. I I mean, it it can
• 4:36
  - seem like
• 4:38
  - all of the air has been sucked out
• 4:39
  - of the room because there doesn't seem to
• 4:42
  - be any hope in sight.
• 4:44
  - But God invites families to bring those burdens
• 4:47
  - to him together.
• 4:49
  - I'm I'm often,
• 4:51
  - I'm a very firm believer that,
• 4:55
  - a family that that prays together really does
• 4:57
  - stay together.
• 4:58
  - Why? Because sometimes what the person doesn't say
• 5:03
  - speaks louder than what they're actually saying.
• 5:06
  - And prayer can do what we cannot
• 5:09
  - and go places that we cannot.
• 5:11
  - So
• 5:13
  - regardless of where you are
• 5:17
  - with your family relationship situation,
• 5:20
  - know that God is faithful
• 5:23
  - and that you can always take
• 5:26
  - the burdens to Him.
• 5:28
  - That being said, let's pray together.
• 5:31
  - Heavenly father, we lift our families up to
• 5:34
  - you today.
• 5:37
  - You know every challenge we are facing and
• 5:39
  - every need that remains unspoken.
• 5:44
  - We ask that you bring healing where there
• 5:46
  - is hurt,
• 5:47
  - unity where there is division and hope,
• 5:50
  - where there is
• 5:52
  - discouragement.
• 5:54
  - Help our homes become a place where prayer
• 5:57
  - is natural
• 5:59
  - and your presence is welcomed.

  - Draw us closer to you
• 6:04
  - and to one another,
• 6:06
  - and we will bless you in Jesus' name.

  - Strong families are built
• 6:12
  - one prayer at a time.

  - So don't give up on your family. Hang

  - God never gives up on us,

  - and we're his family.
