- 1:22Salaam Alaikum and welcome back to a brand new season on the
- 1:25aftermath of podcast. Season 5 is here and that means
- 1:28we're back to having our weekly conversations.
- 1:31I genuinely miss being on the seat and I genuinely miss our
- 1:34weekly conversations. And I genuinely miss being with
- 1:37the aftermath of team, my brothers Ahmed and of course,
- 1:40Muhammad Ali. And when I say that, I genuinely
- 1:43mean that. And why?
- 1:43Why? I mean, that is normally for me
- 1:46when I'm with a group of people, only a certain number of
- 1:49brothers. When I'm in their presence, I
- 1:52feel at ease, I feel at peace. I have Sokun and of course there
- 1:56are other names to mention. But if I mention all their
- 1:59names, this won't be after Maghrib, as we'll be here until
- 2:03after Fajr. Enough of me, it's time to go
- 2:06straight to our brothers Ahmed Muhammad Salamari.
- 2:20I miss your voice. We're back schlonic.
- 2:22We're back. Hamdallah season 555.
- 2:32Season 5 and the 5th studio. That's right, that's right,
- 2:37that's right. 3 1/2 years in five studios, Hamden.
- 2:40But we made it Hamdallah, Hamdallah.
- 2:42It's been nice. It's been, it's been a few
- 2:45months off, right? Five months, five months, five
- 2:48months, five months, I think. Studio 5 Studios Our.
- 2:51Final episode was on the 14th of August 2025, the arbine of Imam
- 2:57Hussain. And now we're at what?
- 2:59That was before we first. Of January.
- 3:00That was the last episode when it released.
- 3:02Yes, We Lost, filmed in July. Now we're now we're like New
- 3:07Year's time in it. That must have been right before
- 3:09we flew out. Yeah, it was before you guys
- 3:10before because I remember in that episode we were, we didn't
- 3:13know where the guys. Were going yeah, exactly,
- 3:15exactly was. Saying if you get the
- 3:16opportunity and that's crazy, well, it's good to be back and
- 3:21it's good to be back with you guys at home.
- 3:24Wow, it's been a journey, hasn't it?
- 3:26But listen for everyone here. Thank you for your patience,
- 3:29thank you for your support. A lot has happened with us.
- 3:32Hope everything is going well with you.
- 3:34Before we get into the Aftermarket podcast, we want to
- 3:36talk. And today in Charlotte, we're
- 3:37going to be talking about a load of different things.
- 3:39So make sure we stay till the very end.
- 3:42But we just want to catch up with each other.
- 3:44I guess we do. It's not as if we don't see each
- 3:46other all the time, but. As in, we've still been here in
- 3:49and out between two different studios.
- 3:51Yeah, we can be honest. So we've been in, in fact, we
- 3:54speak daily on the aftermath of WhatsApp group chat.
- 3:56Have that ever, you know, leaks? And we're finished.
- 4:05How's life been, man? Hamdallah, Hamdallah with your
- 4:07daughter. It's been hectic but busy time,
- 4:11Stressful at times, remarkable, you know, But you know, I was, I
- 4:18was speaking before we start filming today.
- 4:20I was speaking to a friend of mine from school days, and we're
- 4:23talking about being a dad and family life.
- 4:26And I was telling him, yeah, man, like, kids are amazing.
- 4:28I love being a father. Hamdullah was the biggest
- 4:31blessing. Obviously there are hard days,
- 4:33he said. You know what they say?
- 4:35He said children are the perfume of God.
- 4:38Now, I don't know if that is, you know, we want to share next
- 4:40doors. I don't know if that's something
- 4:42we'll get in trouble. Obviously, it's metaphorical
- 4:44before I get cancelled. No, in the sense that you smell
- 4:47the beauty of creation with children and their innocence and
- 4:50their purity. But yeah, Hamdullah, when I look
- 4:54back on it, because now we're at the end.
- 4:55We've just, you know, finished another year now, Hamdullah.
- 4:58And it's been amazing. And happy New Year, by the way,
- 5:00guys. But yes, my biggest
- 5:04accomplishment of the last year was making it through the last
- 5:08year, if I'm honest, you know, Al Hamdallah, having a healthy
- 5:12family and keeping it going, man, Hamdallah.
- 5:16What about you, bro? Man, you know, when you're
- 5:18speaking about being a father, like I think it's the first time
- 5:20I come back, I can actually be part of that conversation about
- 5:24about a. Mum.
- 5:25Yeah. And Hamdallah is obviously
- 5:27growing up and it's like you say, obviously you learn a lot
- 5:30about yourself as well as like you go through the experience.
- 5:35Obviously it's early months or we're not even up to a year yet.
- 5:38So I still feel like I have a lot to learn and a lot to kind
- 5:43of, you know, take away from the experience and to to kind of
- 5:48also introspect as well. Like, you know, because when you
- 5:51have the child, it makes you think a lot about how you act as
- 5:54well around the kid, your own actions, right?
- 5:57You start looking at yourself and thinking, OK, is this what I
- 6:00want my kid to, to learn from me, right.
- 6:03So yeah, I think it's a life changing experience entirely.
- 6:06Like, you know, we're nine months in.
- 6:07How? Many napkins.
- 6:08Do you change a week? OK, well, OK, we're going to
- 6:13keep some information confidential and shout out love.
- 6:16I've changed the mothers. But we're going to keep
- 6:18information. But yeah, yeah, OK, fair enough,
- 6:23how we say. Voila.
- 6:24You know, in the last five months, I, I think maybe 2-3
- 6:28weeks prior to our final episode when we recorded, I went through
- 6:32every season that one can face as a human being.
- 6:35I think from challenges, obstacles, everything.
- 6:40I mean that whether it's family, financially, at the workplace,
- 6:43after month with everything. Upside down, but.
- 6:47But we're here, we still carry on, we still breathe and come to
- 6:49love for everything. There's the reason why I
- 6:52mentioned that is because for me it's been like, I don't want to
- 6:58say struggle, but I think it's been a journey and understanding
- 7:02how God works mysteriously behind the scenes, that whatever
- 7:06you go through, the high, the low, the difficult, the easy,
- 7:10you put your trust in Allah. Allah, you put your trust and
- 7:15Allah, Azoa Jen, he opens your doors, He opens you.
- 7:18Not just one door, many doors. And I think sometimes we forget
- 7:22that Allah is there for us. You know what I mean?
- 7:24That. You had to build all those doors
- 7:30because you, for those who don't know, have turned into Bob the
- 7:33Builder I. Have and whoever asks me, I say
- 7:35I'm building Noah's Ark. Yeah, why King now?
- 7:39Recently moved home, so Hamdallah, I've been busy with
- 7:45carpentry, I've been busy with painting, I've been busy with
- 7:48plumbing. No, for like the plumbing and
- 7:50electrics. The good thing I was at was, you
- 7:53know, putting a nail on the floorboard and bursting the the
- 7:56hot water pipes that got on the that was my plumbing experience.
- 8:00But apart from that, bro, it's been hot, it's been difficult.
- 8:03This is rewarding. It's your own place bad.
- 8:05So when you put your F in, you reap the rules That was.
- 8:08That beautiful reel as well? It's not.
- 8:10Continuous. It was a beautiful rule of you
- 8:12reciting as well as you were doing the solid.
- 8:17Yeah, I've been driving the family crazy.
- 8:20Yeah. All they hear is drills, Safra
- 8:22and Allah. Nami Hussain.
- 8:24That's it. Sounds so.
- 8:25Beautiful. What must you want in the house?
- 8:29What about aftermarket? So let's talk about.
- 8:31So we've for those who don't know, we've put Carousel
- 8:33recently on Instagram. Go check it out, follow at
- 8:35Aftermarket Podcast and subscribe if you're new and you
- 8:38haven't been here before. But basically you can go over
- 8:41and see some of our selected highlights in the last 12
- 8:43months. It's been a lot like we've had a
- 8:47lot happening and we had a hard time selecting like small things
- 8:51from each month or like key highlights.
- 8:53Should we go through them? Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm going to
- 8:55get up and. Rate, this is what we're going
- 8:56to do. Yeah, we're going to rate the
- 8:58experience out of 10. OK.
- 9:01And you can't just be like turn, turn 99109 should get me solid
- 9:05Yeah, you have to tell me that. OK.
- 9:06Maybe you're like growth of the podcast and then like
- 9:09individually should? Go after Muslim unwrapped.
- 9:12Yeah, go on. So January.
- 9:14January. January 1st Annual Aftermarket
- 9:16Prevent. 10/10/10 out of. 10 easy I mean. 10:10 10/10 On
- 9:22every scale I. Think that might be like the
- 9:25easiest 10 of. Hamdullah, Hamdullah, Why we
- 9:28why, why? Why is that an important
- 9:30discussion for us to have now? We'll come to that later.
- 9:33No, come to. It now rising.
- 9:36Dawn, bro. Rising.
- 9:37What's that rising dawn? Rising dawn is Shalat Fuja,
- 9:39there's Imam Al Mehdi Sharif and having events and his honour and
- 9:46Sha Allah celebrating his life, his legacy and how we can
- 9:50connect with him in the age of labour.
- 9:52So that's on the 1st of February.
- 9:55And of course we're going to have like different panels as
- 9:58well where where we discuss different aspects of it.
- 10:01So we're going to have like an academic discussion.
- 10:03We'll speak about the benefit of the imam during the labour from
- 10:06a philosophical, rational, textual perspective.
- 10:09We have the discussions with regards to resistance in the, in
- 10:14the current like world, right? With everything going on around
- 10:18the world and everything, everyone is very aware and just
- 10:22drawing that inspiration from the understanding of the
- 10:26occultation and the reappearance of Muhammad, Haji Ali, Saddam.
- 10:29And of course there will be a discussion if you can remind me
- 10:32what the first panel is about to.
- 10:34Be honest, we are unlocked in the topic if I'm but if I'm not
- 10:37mistake, it's something contemporary, right?
- 10:39How to build an ecosystem which is ready and prepared for the
- 10:42Imam ultimately, like actual practical day-to-day life.
- 10:45You know, we hear so often a lot of cliche stuff and you know,
- 10:49interval and this, which is great and yeah, useful stuff,
- 10:53but sometimes it seems out of touch.
- 10:55So like, yeah, yeah, Mama actually I need to remember Mama
- 10:57T But then we crack on with our lines and then we circle back.
- 11:00How do we actually enjoy learning and preparing for the
- 11:04holy Imam? Ajalah Allah just Sharif and at
- 11:07the same time have fun like aura and vibes and energy like this
- 11:12is what after mugged up shows are meant to be about South
- 11:14Inshallah guys, make sure you check out the posters and the
- 11:18the trailers and everything on Instagram and and TikTok and
- 11:21everywhere else and at the same time grab your tickets.
- 11:24You can grab that on after mugged up.com/book and listen
- 11:29for if you want a cute little discount card.
- 11:32I'm not really meant to say it in it AM family 10.
- 11:35If you're listening to this, you can use that code.
- 11:37They're all. Family they're.
- 11:38All family in it, but use that code AM family 10.
- 11:42You get 10% off your ticket price for you and anyone else
- 11:45that you want to bring. Yeah, we'd love to see you
- 11:47there. Guys, please.
- 11:48It will be an incredible event. We've got if you came to last
- 11:51year's, you'll know how good it was.
- 11:52And this time we've got a fresh new list of incredible speakers
- 11:56and reciters. We have four or five guest
- 11:58speakers coming from around the world.
- 12:00So it's not kind of the same faces.
- 12:02Not that there's anything wrong. We have a lot of like locals and
- 12:04we also have international speakers.
- 12:06So you'll really, really, really enjoy it.
- 12:09So that's January. That's January.
- 12:11And now February. February. 2025.
- 12:13February 2025 moves into our little studio which.
- 12:18Sounds crazy considering. We're somewhere else, right?
- 12:22So last February we moved into our 4th, No, our third studio,
- 12:27right? Yes. 3rd.
- 12:28Last February, we moved into our third studio.
- 12:30We were there for like 4 months and we'll come to why we had to
- 12:33leave that. Sense should go to March.
- 12:36How? Would you rate that move process
- 12:3910? I enjoyed that studio.
- 12:43I think was my favorite studio I apart from the one we're in now.
- 12:45I. Don't think I had a problem with
- 12:47it. I think we just I just think
- 12:49Hadley has said much about went through a lot moving things,
- 12:53setting up things, speech behind the scenes.
- 12:57So for me it's 1010, right? But for him, unless one. .31
- 13:02point 3 out of 10. -10 finally that studio was a bit cold as
- 13:06well. Nah, I like it.
- 13:07I. Like it?
- 13:07I'm cold right now. Yeah.
- 13:10I mean, it's OK because we've just moved into this, so it
- 13:12would, it would do. Now March, March, March, you say
- 13:16March and March with Shataramavan.
- 13:17Right. Yeah, it was.
- 13:20This. Was my Ahmed leaving the
- 13:22podcast? Oh.
- 13:23Yeah, my bad, my bad, my bad. The podcast.
- 13:26No, I took a sabbatical and I was like, yeah, and said I only
- 13:29made it into a whole thing like Lion King, you know, look at the
- 13:32way he's holding it up like Lion King.
- 13:34But no, it was, look, I don't know if I ever clarified it or
- 13:37not. No, I don't know if you did.
- 13:39People are still asking me. Until today, they didn't.
- 13:41Ahmed leave What? Happened there.
- 13:43No, look, I in all honesty, like all of us had some like down
- 13:48weeks and I was like, I need more time.
- 13:51I need to refocus, recalibrate, like my priorities.
- 13:55And I still feel like I need to do that if I'm honest.
- 13:58But at the same time, I realised that part of my priorities is
- 14:01the bigger mission, which we're trying to serve.
- 14:03And my own humble way of doing that is, is working with after
- 14:07market of media groups. That means everything we do.
- 14:10So from the podcast to Jamaa nights to golden Hour to Hold my
- 14:13heart to rising dawn and timeless resilience and all
- 14:16these other shows, products, productions that we're doing and
- 14:19also things that we have forthcoming, you know, working
- 14:21with people around the world who've got incredible and
- 14:24aligned vision with us from like a more strategic point of view.
- 14:28So aside from just the hosting, which is great and we love it,
- 14:31but there's things that need to be done and there's void that
- 14:34needs to be filled. So I took I think it was like 4
- 14:37or five weeks off and then slowly reintegrated.
- 14:41And it was also a case which is I think because we knew a lot
- 14:45was coming up, Sharon Mavan then two or three months later is
- 14:49Muharram and then of Baeen. And it's a lot of work for us.
- 14:53So yeah, can. You admit, though, that it was
- 14:55just slightly dramatic. Can I just say something?
- 14:59Yeah. Can I say for me, slightly For
- 15:01me. I don't think I dramatized
- 15:02anything. Yeah, it's gonna look at me.
- 15:05Yeah. For it I.
- 15:07Told you guys. The posts were going crazy.
- 15:09People were acting like you, no. Bro, I put out a thing I put on
- 15:13my by the way, my Instagram is private as friends and family
- 15:16only. Yeah, yeah.
- 15:17So I was like, guys, just for your information for a few
- 15:19weeks, I'm stepping back from hosting.
- 15:22I'll be back soon. This is what I said, right?
- 15:25Yeah. Said Ali put out a thing.
- 15:27I can't believe this date has calm.
- 15:29You know, my mother, like prays for you every day.
- 15:32And now you've left us and there was a whole thing.
- 15:35Bro. Please bro.
- 15:36I appreciate you. I appreciate you generally lost.
- 15:38I really. Appreciate, I'll say.
- 15:39Wish of all you had. You had good noise and.
- 15:41Honestly, you had. Great people sitting in my
- 15:42chair. That's my last name.
- 15:44They did a great job. They're lovely and you know, may
- 15:47I love all them and they're still part of the team as well,
- 15:49but. You're not leaving.
- 15:51No, as of right now, I have no intention to Hamden, OK.
- 15:54So yeah, Hamden, before I get. Like, you know.
- 15:56April, April, this is this one's from Hamad Ali, concluded the
- 16:00Jumaha Knights series. There's people who still haven't
- 16:04watched Jumaha Knights who are watching What is Jumaha Knights?
- 16:06Jumah Knights. So first of all, I don't even
- 16:09agree with this. Like concluding the Jumah
- 16:11Knights series, the Jumah Knights series concluded a lot.
- 16:14Before that we had a question and answer series which was a
- 16:17one off kind of show and that was the conclusion of that show.
- 16:22That is being like spoken about in the rapt.
- 16:24But John Knights basically is just to be specific and be clear
- 16:28about John Knights, but John Knights basically was like an
- 16:32academic show where we were introducing the viewers to
- 16:36academic literature, looking at specific theological arguments
- 16:40and looking at the basic argumentation that is used in
- 16:45the Quran in the Sunna. And hoping that through that
- 16:48experience, going through all of those episodes, 15, the, the
- 16:53viewer would be able to at least be familiar with the classical
- 16:58books of hadith, know what they are, who they're written by,
- 17:01what is roughly in them, and how to kind of engage with the
- 17:06literature. It's just sort of a kind of
- 17:08encouragement to for, for, for young people to start looking
- 17:12into the literature of Athelbait to get familiar with it and to
- 17:15feel like they can connect with it.
- 17:17So Jumma and I essentially that's all it was.
- 17:19It was about connecting with literature and connecting with
- 17:22the Imam of our time. And yeah, inshallah, like, you
- 17:25know, I hope it was beneficial when no, it was 100% it was
- 17:28useful. So it was it.
- 17:30Was really, really good. Me.
- 17:33I came in to find the studio Fly.
- 17:34Yeah. Man, I came in, I came in, I
- 17:37came in on like a Saturday night or something and I realized that
- 17:41the the furniture was wet. The chair you're seeing because,
- 17:44well, not that one we have. We have another one which is
- 17:47over there. But this is not Italian lever.
- 17:50Yeah, it was, it was, it was wet.
- 17:52And then that the German. Lamp was.
- 17:54Wet. The lamp was wet.
- 17:56And then a few other things. That's the German lamp we
- 17:57realized. Just saying.
- 17:59Yeah, we realized that there was a leak at the top and then the
- 18:02floor was wet and then, you know, said most of our came in a
- 18:05couple days or I don't know when it was he came in and then we
- 18:08put up the he made the makeshift pipe or something like, yeah, it
- 18:13was crazy that. Was devastating.
- 18:14It was the start of the and. Then and then the leak was
- 18:17controlled and then we had an episode to record.
- 18:19Yeah, and the guest on the way and start leaking all guy again.
- 18:23It's like mid episode. Yeah.
- 18:25OK. So that experience like a one
- 18:26out of 10/1? Hour 10 we're.
- 18:28Definitely one out of 10 that's not the same because we were
- 18:30only there for a few months. It was like I really enjoyed
- 18:33moving in February, May. We, you know what we had for
- 18:37context for people we didn't have, we had a lot of supporters
- 18:41and Hamdullah like a lot of people back us and we, Allah
- 18:44guided us to the right places at the right times.
- 18:47So we were in the 1st place and then we had to leave for like
- 18:50other reasons, organizational reasons.
- 18:52The 2nd place we moved into was always going to be a temporary
- 18:54place, as was the 3rd place. Yes, right.
- 18:57Yes. And the fourth place, which was
- 19:00the floodplace, Yes, We didn't want to leave.
- 19:03We thought we were there for the next few years.
- 19:05This is the 6th studio. This is the #5 yeah, we had.
- 19:10This is we had. Neesden we had, Wellsden,
- 19:13Wellsden we had. And.
- 19:16Then we had. Yeah.
- 19:18Perryville, Staples Corner, Staples Corner.
- 19:21And then imagine number six Row that is crazy.
- 19:26Studios, Studios in 3 1/2 years. Wow, that's crazy.
- 19:29Wow, wow. It's just now that when we
- 19:31started counting them, we realized we're like, do you
- 19:32know? Why we you know why we didn't
- 19:34count Staples Corner? Because we didn't do the
- 19:36podcast. Yeah.
- 19:37We didn't. Yeah.
- 19:38We have some memories there. Yeah, but not like a lot.
- 19:41Yeah. Interesting.
- 19:42So that was our fourth studio. So last year, effectively 2025,
- 19:47we've been in three studios. We did gold an hour there
- 19:50though. Yeah, we did.
- 19:50Gold an hour, yes. Yes, yes, yes.
- 19:53OK, cool. OK.
- 19:55We're going to get there. It's not May, June.
- 19:57June we've got had some heartfelt discussions for
- 19:59Muharram. Muharram was very nice and I
- 20:02think we every year at Hamdullah, and you'll agree,
- 20:04said we have timeless conversations year on year, of
- 20:08course. So whether it's done, what, Four
- 20:09Seasons of aftermath, I think in most, if not all of those
- 20:12seasons, there's been a Muharram.
- 20:13There has been, yeah. And.
- 20:15All of them happened in are timeless because talking about
- 20:17the story of Muhammad Hussein and Salaam is timeless.
- 20:20And you can go back guys. And I'd recommend to always
- 20:24check out our previous content previous years.
- 20:27We try to make conversations that are timeless so you can
- 20:29listen to them at any point in time.
- 20:31There was a time where we did like occasion specific stuff
- 20:34like the the World Cup and you know, things like that.
- 20:37But really and truly we try to make content that you can hear
- 20:41five years from now they still benefit you talking about family
- 20:45life or social issues or community issues, theological
- 20:48issues, whatever they might be. My harm falls into that, very
- 20:51much so. But we had some great guests,
- 20:53amazing guests. Great.
- 20:55Great content we mixed up from scholars and community members
- 21:00and friends and also just one to ones with me and said Ali.
- 21:03So it was. It was and yourself.
- 21:04So it was nice. Hamdullah enjoyed it, yeah.
- 21:07One last 1010. Ten, yeah.
- 21:09Muharram was a 10/10, yeah. Gentle July July had to vacate
- 21:14our studio and find another space.
- 21:16I feel like I feel like most of the year is just us moving
- 21:19around. Half the flies are.
- 21:20Moving. What's that fish?
- 21:21So our landlord. For context, people are like,
- 21:24why are these guys like just moving like?
- 21:26Yeah, like basically. Caravan No, we we got asked to
- 21:30leave because our landlord was selling the building.
- 21:33So to compromise with that landlord, we basically said like
- 21:37we don't want to leave, it's not contractual, you didn't give us
- 21:40enough notice. So he said, OK, fine, I'll give
- 21:42you another place I own which was alhamdulillah, like also a
- 21:46good space, good size, good location for us.
- 21:49And he managed, we managed to negotiate a three month rent
- 21:53free contract, which then we were in from July.
- 21:56Oh, when was it? I don't know, August or
- 21:58September up until December. So yeah, yeah, we'd start
- 22:02packing out June or whatever. And that's.
- 22:04Where we filmed a number of shows and we'll get to that
- 22:07soon. I think the next, next slide,
- 22:09yeah, must be. August.
- 22:12Yeah. Go on.
- 22:12Yeah. Worked alongside Eternal Echoes
- 22:15at hodjet and hodjet for the Echoes of Karbala production,
- 22:19which was a beautiful memory of Damon.
- 22:22I think that was the. Best aside from the podcast, but
- 22:24I think that was the best memory I have.
- 22:26Yeah, yeah, yeah, bro. The hit my levels off the chart.
- 22:31I'm not even joking. So for those who aren't aware,
- 22:35which I'm sure most people won't be, but our local centre in
- 22:39London did something very different for Adebayeen and or
- 22:43before Adebayeen and it was basically like an immersive
- 22:47sensory experience, OK? And they had over 1000 people
- 22:50turn up and it was like a station you walk into and you
- 22:54have different stations, different rooms, audio, visual,
- 22:58sound, everything, touch, feel, the whole shebang, even VR.
- 23:01VR. Everything.
- 23:02And we spent like 989 nights working to build the station
- 23:10from scratch. It was so resourceful.
- 23:12We had like 40 young volunteers from different backgrounds come
- 23:15together. And then we obviously had the
- 23:17event after Mahadev had a live podcast.
- 23:19I say a live pod. We did like had like 20 or 22
- 23:22podcasts on that day. And we did like random audience
- 23:25members came up. We'd have a deep chat for 10-15
- 23:28minutes and then we'd rotate and the next batch would come in and
- 23:30we'd do this. It was really fun.
- 23:32But yeah, big, big. If anyone's in London next year,
- 23:34it'd definitely be worth coming to if there's a name to give.
- 23:37A shout out to Who would you give it to?
- 23:40One name I. Can't give one name.
- 23:41One name, no one. Name if I.
- 23:43Had to shout one person who I know, this is the podcast, my
- 23:46brother Jabra Murali Jabs. He was the visionary behind the
- 23:50event. Then he brought Hamdul.
- 23:52I brought myself in my wife who's a set designer.
- 23:56She built kind of the station like that was her brand,
- 24:00project, idea, concept, Hossein Sokhni, a lot of people,
- 24:04Hosseini Ram told. There's a There's too many
- 24:07people. That's why I said one name.
- 24:08Yeah, it's too many. It's.
- 24:09Impossible. But obviously the guys, the
- 24:11wall, Yeah, The guy who ran it was jabs.
- 24:13Obviously I wasn't. Able to make it to the actual
- 24:16event, but I came after. But just recently, I was in one
- 24:20of those moods where I was listening to Last Me Art and I
- 24:22was just like, you know, like, really like emotional crying,
- 24:26sad. And I remember I was messaging
- 24:28on the group chat, on after my group chat, and I was saying,
- 24:30guys, I'm broken right now. Like, you know, I'm vulnerable.
- 24:34Yeah. How it goes to me?
- 24:36You're vulnerable. I've got something for you.
- 24:38And he just said some of the audios from the from the echoes
- 24:43of Karbala. Bro, I was finished.
- 24:45We. Yeah, we.
- 24:46From scratch finished we. Sound engineered.
- 24:49Different scenes from the Karbala epic, you know, horror
- 24:53meeting Imam Hussein, Ali Salah, then Imam Hussein Holding Ali
- 24:57Asgar and Haramala and all of that.
- 24:59Then the third station was Saeed Zeynab in Sham and the fourth
- 25:03station was Imam Sajad and his back and forth with Yazid in
- 25:07Sham, which was like Ali, which was like and all of them were
- 25:11amazing. They were next force.
- 25:12Overs and. Genuinely, I was so.
- 25:14Broke. Like he caught me at such a
- 25:16vulnerable moment that I was literally like crying for the
- 25:19rest of the day. It was probably fun.
- 25:21It was crazy. August Part 2.
- 25:23August Part 2. That was a 10 out of 10
- 25:24experience. 100% Hamdallah. August Part 2 was, by the best
- 25:30of all, of a father. Salaam alaai.
- 25:33Salaam alaai Ali. Yeah.
- 25:35Karbala taking. A young man from the suburbs of
- 25:40Yorkshire. So for context of Karbala on a
- 25:43second year running, Al Hamdallah after Mahatma had the
- 25:46blessing and opportunity to partner with the media
- 25:48department of the Shrine of Hazard Abbas Al Salaam Al Kafil
- 25:51Media. Shout out to them.
- 25:53Great friends of ours do incredible work.
- 25:56And this year the both of you went with our friend Wilf
- 26:00Lovett, who of course you guys probably know him on Instagram
- 26:03and TikTok. Great influencer does incredible
- 26:05like theological discovery work into different religions.
- 26:09He's finished his segment on Islam and now he's moved on to
- 26:12Christianity. But you took Wilf to Kabbalah.
- 26:15We did, and I. Think it was a different
- 26:17experience altogether because normally you, you fly with
- 26:20people who already know what the environment is, what everyone's
- 26:24heading towards, what Ziara is, what Imam Hussein stood for, who
- 26:28his brother was, a Buffalo, Abbas, Ali, Salama.
- 26:30This time you had to explain everything and go over the the
- 26:35different aspects, not just in regards to Ziara or Imam Hussain
- 26:39or Karbala Ashura. No, I felt like Muhammad then.
- 26:42Correct me if I'm wrong. I feel like we had to like do
- 26:45Shia Islam 101. Yeah, completely.
- 26:48From. Beginning and a shala.
- 26:49I think it's good. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 26:51And you know what the best people to do?
- 26:52That when you get to. You get to Karbala, you're
- 26:54talking about Rahman Hussain, the conversation straight will
- 26:57be like, OK, why did this happen when you go by this like.
- 27:01OK, so the bigger? You go back to all the way back
- 27:03to like the FIFA why, Right. And then you're like discussing
- 27:06all of these different things. And then it's like, OK, now I
- 27:08just have to tell you everything.
- 27:09Yeah. And go through each.
- 27:11But that's good. And do you know you?
- 27:12Guys, Marshall are the best people for that and I'm not just
- 27:15saying that. And he was, he's really lucky to
- 27:18have been in your hands and to be guided by you guys.
- 27:20And I know you had other brothers with you who I'm sure
- 27:23did a really good job as well. But like for anyone who goes to
- 27:28Karbala, not a Muslim. And there's a year before when
- 27:31Said Ali and I went, we met 4-5 guys not Muslims, and we spent
- 27:36some time with them. Not as much as you did with
- 27:37Wolf, but they all are just taken aback by the emotive
- 27:42element of. And just a shock.
- 27:44The generosity, the the lock of the mannerisms and then and all
- 27:49of that. Just the sheer numbers.
- 27:50The numbers, yeah. I think.
- 27:52That's enough to take back anybody and I'm sure Wilf.
- 27:56Would and all of the other brothers would all say that yeah
- 27:59I felt safe and yeah I felt like like it was a lifetime of
- 28:05experience of a lifetime and I'd go again absolutely like it's a
- 28:07sign to boys encourage friends and family who are not Muslim
- 28:11even or not Shia to come to Arbayan of course I think by.
- 28:14The end of it, he was genuinely moved.
- 28:17I think he did genuinely like start connection, yeah, start to
- 28:22feel a connection. I think like obviously when it
- 28:25when he first kind of got there and stuff, I think he was quite
- 28:29overwhelmed and quite eager to, you know, have a look at Najaf
- 28:33and stuff. And that really surprised me.
- 28:34Actually, one of the things that surprised me was when we got
- 28:37back, I think, and we asked him what was your favorite part
- 28:40about our trip? And he said, you know what, I
- 28:43loved Najaf and I was like, Marshall, that's just that's
- 28:46crazy, you know what I mean? Like that's, we've got to kind
- 28:49of like, you know what I mean? It was next level.
- 28:53Bless him. Well, nice, nice individuals,
- 28:56nice to spend time with him and, you know, take him on the
- 28:59experience with us. Terrific.
- 29:01Terrific. Tremendous.
- 29:03Honestly, but but I think there was a lot that happened.
- 29:06I think aside to that as well that we were able to share some
- 29:10spirituality together. Ziara together spent time
- 29:12Muhammad get to know him much better and the beautiful time
- 29:16that I spent with him Muhammad I think at night when we were in
- 29:19our hotel trying to sleep well. Every.
- 29:24Question I had. I'll ask him all the
- 29:27discussions. Well, I love, I miss him.
- 29:29But you know what? We should go.
- 29:31Can I expose? One thing that I heard good.
- 29:35I'm going to expose you. OK, OK, So I heard that let's
- 29:38say Ali would wake up at 3. AMI need to hear the sound of
- 29:41you playing lectures like while you're sleeping.
- 29:45You'd have different Mahara, different lecturers speaking
- 29:48that. To me, yeah, that I, I know that
- 29:50sounds really weird, but that's so normal to me that every night
- 29:54I go to sleep and I listen, I go to sleep with something on that
- 29:57is like knowledge based less enemy.
- 30:00And genuinely this sounds so weird, but I genuinely feel like
- 30:04I retain that information even if I'm sleeping.
- 30:06I'm sure there's studies. For that there must be
- 30:09definitely definitely. Like you'll be hearing like the
- 30:11the argumentation. I feel like I wake up.
- 30:14I don't know what I heard and why I didn't, but I I still got
- 30:17the like I got the essence. Now listen to it in.
- 30:20Chinese and then you'll learn this love in Chinese.
- 30:23I got the benefit. From that so.
- 30:26So we'll win for. The both of us, it's it's
- 30:27annoying for. Most people though, I think like
- 30:29in my like household now, people like my wife, and they're used
- 30:32to it, Yeah, like they're used to also now falling asleep to
- 30:35sounds of lectures and things like that.
- 30:38So it's OK. But I would say that Ali, I was
- 30:39speaking. That's good.
- 30:40Like, am I? Am I pushing buttons?
- 30:42No, no, no, no. The first time you're
- 30:43travelling, there's one guy. If there's one guy who would not
- 30:47mind that scene, yeah, So it was me.
- 30:49It's probably a different story. Voila.
- 30:52Yeah, All right. What's?
- 30:54Next October, September, September launch the Hold My
- 30:57Heart. Podcast.
- 30:59Hold my Heart Sisters podcast. Hold my heart a long.
- 31:02Time in the making, Hamdullah. It was, I think it took.
- 31:05Many months of us trying to find the suitable hosts to host the
- 31:11Hold Hold My Heart podcasts, and we finally got there.
- 31:15There was a lot of excitement behind the scenes.
- 31:17I know we planned so much. A lot of effort went in.
- 31:20We spoke to so many different people, took advice from
- 31:23scholars and from everyone else and handle the fruits of it are
- 31:27are on show now and it's the sisters podcast.
- 31:31I don't know how much I can say this for the sisters out there
- 31:34who want to learn, who want to benefit, who want to grow the
- 31:37knowledge, who want to be in a safe space for ladies, for
- 31:41women, for young, for young sisters, I think you've hold my
- 31:45heart. Listen.
- 31:46Yeah, definitely. I think also obviously bearing
- 31:49in mind there's the sisters podcast, so there's no like
- 31:51encouragement for males to watch it.
- 31:53Yeah, so at the. At the same.
- 31:55Time obviously, because we are part of the optimal team, we do
- 31:58go over the content that's being made and genuinely there have
- 32:01been some recent episodes that have been genuinely amazing like
- 32:04they have been, so there was one just recently.
- 32:08On marriage by absolutely there's just.
- 32:09Sort of feedback, amazing, amazing podcast When you went
- 32:13through the content 1010, genuinely like it was such a
- 32:16different perspective. It's refreshing when you when
- 32:18you hear about marriage. I feel like when you see the
- 32:22title marriage on a podcast, you feel like you already know what
- 32:25you're going to hear. But this was a completely
- 32:28different perspective. And I think that, you know,
- 32:30there's, there's a few episodes of of Hold My Heart that have
- 32:32been honestly like, you're being brilliant and there's no coming
- 32:36out now. Right.
- 32:36And there's more to come. Up in every two.
- 32:39Weeks on Mondays releasing the team will work hard their guests
- 32:42are really good Marshall law but yeah check out guys you can if
- 32:46you're not already subscribed to ask them all going to make sure
- 32:49you subscribe hit the notification bell No, you'll get
- 32:51the I I don't think I've ever shared this with you.
- 32:52Guys, once there was something very funny in regards to Hold My
- 32:55Heart. So you know, when we stopped
- 32:57filming for season 4 and there was nothing happening on like
- 33:00the aftermath of YouTube. So my daughter when she logged
- 33:03into YouTube, it's my account I'm subscribed to aftermath of
- 33:06right? So you see like what's been
- 33:08pushed up. So there's something new that
- 33:11gets released and aftermath it comes out right.
- 33:13So at home, the TV in my house is on my if they if they log
- 33:16into YouTube, it's my YouTube account signed in.
- 33:19So she must have signed in and all of a sudden she comes
- 33:22running to me upstairs and I remember I was doing some DIY.
- 33:25She asked me, Baba, someone Hacked Off the mug.
- 33:27She was like, Baba, someone Hacked Off the mug.
- 33:31Some girls I'm like. What downstairs and I see?
- 33:35Hold My Heart got released. I'm like, no, this is the show I
- 33:38explained to her was a very funny one.
- 33:40Oh my God. Oh very.
- 33:41Funny. All right, what's next?
- 33:43We props of the. Whole team at Hold my Heart.
- 33:45They're doing amazing work. They are indeed.
- 33:49October. Launched a brand new show,
- 33:51Golden Hour, and I can see there's a picture there of Ahmed
- 33:54and For the Chris, which is yet to be released.
- 33:58Yet to be released. Kelly, you see when when, when
- 34:00we. Meet the whole Christmas.
- 34:02Opportunity. I've seen it when we feel that
- 34:05I. Was like we should drop we're.
- 34:06Good afterwards do like 3 months earlier I was.
- 34:08Like we should prepare this for Christmas.
- 34:10Yeah, Golden Owl guys, our new show, if you haven't watched it
- 34:13already, it's targeted towards making the world of academia and
- 34:19high level knowledge more accessible and digestible for
- 34:22our community, especially those who have an interest in that.
- 34:24So the idea being is that we speak to Mushtahideen or
- 34:28equivalent or those who are have taught at a high level either in
- 34:32a western academic setting or in a Houser setting, bath cottage
- 34:36or equivalent and essentially are able to talk about a
- 34:39specialist area of knowledge with us.
- 34:43So Charlotte Love, the three of us are going to be hosting, so
- 34:46the only one which has come out thus far is Mohammed Ali's
- 34:48series with Said Munir Itala, said Munir Habaz, which was
- 34:51Hamdallah really well received. How would you rate the show and
- 34:57your experience out of the show? Out of 10 and your personal.
- 35:00Experience out of 10, no bias. The show.
- 35:03As. As an idea, I think is is solid
- 35:06like. Obviously, no, this is.
- 35:07Those episodes, those episodes. OK, I think with, said Munir.
- 35:12I think obviously it was like crazy opportunity, right, to be
- 35:17sitting with such a high level senior scholar mushed ahead and
- 35:22somebody that commands so much respect in our community.
- 35:26So it was obviously like it was a crazy experience.
- 35:28And for me, I think I was a little bit taken aback by the
- 35:31aura as well, like in the in the moment, of course.
- 35:35I think the episodes were. Amazing.
- 35:37I think when we look at episode one, it was a brilliant episode.
- 35:41Episode 2, I think there were some questions, more questions I
- 35:45could have asked, and episode 3, the same thing.
- 35:49There were more questions I could have asked and I think I
- 35:51got a lot of feedback from people and I felt the same
- 35:53watching it as well, that it should have been a little bit
- 35:57more conversation in that there there, there should have been
- 36:01more pushback dialogue, right? IE.
- 36:03So save money and makes a point. It's like, OK, can you elaborate
- 36:07on that? Do all scholars agree on this or
- 36:09something like that? And I feel like that is
- 36:11obviously it's very, very important in a podcast.
- 36:14But also like, you know, don't judge me.
- 36:16I also taken aback. Like I genuinely.
- 36:19I just, I was just like. OK, I've got my questions, but
- 36:21the whole point. Of the show is not to like
- 36:23persuade the audience towards a certain certain static, rather
- 36:27to dig deep on terms of the scholars perspective and also to
- 36:31challenge them. Not because we're in a place to
- 36:33challenge them at all, but more of a case of, for example, if
- 36:36someone presents an idea, we say, but the the the the counter
- 36:42narrative, the counter arguments, this what, what is
- 36:44the response to? What is the response?
- 36:46Our knowledge? Absolutely.
- 36:47But yeah, overall I think the episodes were were premium were
- 36:51very. Good out of 10 they I think the.
- 36:53Episodes were very good, Yeah. I think in terms of OK, the
- 36:56first episode I'll give it a 10 out of 10, OK.
- 36:59Second episode I'll give it about an 8, OK.
- 37:03And the third because of the points you referenced.
- 37:06Earlier because of myself, no. Like obviously not save money.
- 37:09Save money did a great job, right?
- 37:12Like from my side, I think, you know, they, they could have been
- 37:15better hosting and better questions and better push back.
- 37:19And the third episode I would say is about the same as the
- 37:20second. You're being harsh for yourself
- 37:22as well. Yeah, I mean, thought.
- 37:24I thought the second was great and the third, yeah, Hamdallah.
- 37:28Hamdallah. I mean, you know, yeah, it's
- 37:30always room for improvement in shout out, room for yeah.
- 37:34And of course. Golden Hour is one of those
- 37:37things that it's going to be like exclusive meet ups, so it's
- 37:39not going to be that regular. Yeah, right.
- 37:41So it's going to be one of those things that pops up once in a
- 37:44while. So that's why I'm even more
- 37:46harsh because that's like, that's your one opportunity to
- 37:50get it right. It's exclusive.
- 37:51It's exclusive, right? No.
- 37:53It. Was great man at Hamdallah.
- 37:55So November, New York, that's all you guys invited, invited by
- 38:00the space conference. Shout out space.
- 38:02Shout out space, space experience.
- 38:04Great team, great conference, great experiences, great people.
- 38:08We had a great time. Hamdallah we did.
- 38:11We did, and I. Remember, I met a lot of amazing
- 38:13individuals and I think they all had their own expertise and you
- 38:18know, they were most of us. There's nothing in the
- 38:22background. I'm not going to repeat it, but
- 38:25I, I, I really felt like there was this love to build your
- 38:29career, but not forget your identity.
- 38:30And I think that was something important that we, we don't look
- 38:33into a lot in our day-to-day lives.
- 38:34Like when we go to work, you don't even forget about Muslims
- 38:37sometimes, let alone being Shia Muslims, right?
- 38:40So for a group of students who want to excel in their career
- 38:43paths, who want to excel in their studies, whatever field
- 38:46there is, that they don't want to excel and lose their faith at
- 38:51the same time. So to see that sort of
- 38:53environment take place in New York with all the mess of the
- 38:56United States of America, that there are Shia Muslims out there
- 39:00who want to be professional, who want to be the best in their
- 39:05field and not forget who they are, That to me was mesmerizing.
- 39:09I remember I said in the live podcast I was like, I wish we
- 39:11had something like this in the UK.
- 39:14In the UK we don't have things like this.
- 39:16So inshallah in the future, who knows?
- 39:18We did try and persuade them to bring the space conference to
- 39:21the UK. But go on.
- 39:22You want me to say something? Yeah, guys, talk to me about.
- 39:24The content that you were making.
- 39:26Yeah, we. Did so.
- 39:27I can't lie. I saw some very, very, very good
- 39:31reels of yourself speaking in a nice little New York.
- 39:35Thanks brother. Hallway.
- 39:36Still more to come. If we ever get around to it.
- 39:39And no, no, no, no, it was good. So like obviously the main
- 39:43reason why we were there was the conference.
- 39:46We came a day earlier. We left today or two later after
- 39:49the conference. I mean, surrounding that, we did
- 39:52some cool stuff. So we did some filming and
- 39:54whatnot. Wish we did more, wish we had
- 39:56more time, but we had a lot of friends to meet up, some
- 39:57scholars as well, which is great.
- 39:59St. Hadi.
- 40:00Was there? Was that real with?
- 40:02Saint Ali and St. Hadi, Yeah, yeah.
- 40:04The pistachio latte. We done workshops.
- 40:07We what workshops? Yeah, so at the at the
- 40:09convention we did workshops on conversational skills, which was
- 40:14great. We did podcasts with Doctor
- 40:16Hajalan Moghniya on what you're talking about, how to achieve
- 40:20excellence and while maintaining your identity, you know,
- 40:23pursuing your professional skills.
- 40:26I think we did one more thing, mentoring as well.
- 40:28We did mentorships as well. We had a tool which was great.
- 40:31So yeah, it was fun. I liked it.
- 40:32I, I would rate, I'd rate the experience a 10 out of 10.
- 40:36I'd rate the aftermarket upside of things like a 8 out of 10 for
- 40:40obviously the positives being we got to network, we got to
- 40:42explore and promote. But at the same time, I wish we
- 40:45did more stuff like while we were there, basically.
- 40:49So while we were in New York, we wanted to meet more people.
- 40:53And yeah, it's just the time. Like if we had two or three more
- 40:55days, we would have probably done a lot more.
- 40:58Kind of like looking. From outside, I think you guys
- 41:00are like having a great job, like very great.
- 41:02Even the the. Podcast with Hajala Hajala Solid
- 41:06hamdulai. Genuinely, I recommend everybody
- 41:09to watch The Light. You know what we get?
- 41:10We we're, we're blessed because we get invitations to host
- 41:14things and be a part of different things either in the
- 41:16UK or overseas. It could be in with the other
- 41:20groups, it could be in different parts of the world for or
- 41:23different like conventions or conferences.
- 41:26But we're quite selective on where we go, not because we are
- 41:30trying to be proud, but more of a case of does it align with
- 41:32what we want to do and our vision and our mission, which is
- 41:35very youth and Western focused. So Al Hamdallah this.
- 41:40Did the team do so? Yeah.
- 41:42Solid, all right. Last month, which is what we are
- 41:46in at the moment at the time of filming.
- 41:48Yeah. So we, we've just moved into
- 41:51this new studio, which is a 10 out of 10 studio, Hamdallah for
- 41:55context. So when we got kicked out or not
- 41:57kicked out, we were in that temporary space for a few months
- 42:00at the same time. So Mujtaba located this studio
- 42:04which we had known about. And ironically, I had done some
- 42:06filming in this space many years ago and it was like a nice
- 42:12spacious studio. Like a lot, a lot, a lot bigger
- 42:15than anything we've ever been in, probably like 5-6 times
- 42:18bigger than our last space at least.
- 42:21And it was burnt down. So we had to like kind of
- 42:27firstly weight up if it made sense.
- 42:29And credit to Mujt, this is all him.
- 42:32He kind of put a team together. He invested into it, rebuilt it,
- 42:36kind of designed it, floor plan usage.
- 42:40We have our own studio here, which is great.
- 42:42We're going to have enough space for all of our shows in this
- 42:44space we're in now. And then we also have like 5-6
- 42:47other rooms which we are hiring out to the community and people
- 42:51who want to get involved just shout us, drop us Adm everything
- 42:55is obviously we're trying to support community initiative.
- 42:57So if anyone out, there's a young podcast starting up or
- 43:00even an experienced podcast which is regular or you do one
- 43:03off shows or you do interviews or you do photography or you
- 43:07want to place to like even an in house office space.
- 43:10We've got a lot of space. You could probably fit like 10
- 43:13desks for office space work in some of the other rooms.
- 43:17So there's a lot of opportunity for locals.
- 43:19If you're in London and you want a space to check out, then yeah,
- 43:22reach out. And Sharbach.
- 43:24So that's where we are. Yeah, that's where we are.
- 43:26That's optimal. Shout out wrapped and.
- 43:30There's other, a lot of other things there like, yeah, I feel
- 43:33bad if there's things we didn't mention or people we didn't
- 43:35shout out, but it's been a great year.
- 43:37But onwards and upwards and shot and shot a lot.
- 43:39We have some big plans for 20261 major, major production in mind.
- 43:43If it pulls off, if we can make it happen, it'll be great.
- 43:46That'll be amazing. It'll be a great, great
- 43:47experience. But a lot of work to do before a
- 43:50lot of work. Probably the biggest, most time
- 43:52consuming thing we would have ever done.
- 43:54If it pulls off legit, yeah. So inshallah.
- 43:58Well, that could be that. Could be one of the most
- 44:00exciting things that Aftermath has ever done as well.
- 44:02For sure. For sure, for sure.
- 44:05I really want to drop a. Tick.
- 44:06But I can't. Yeah.
- 44:10And aside from that, we are also in the blessed month of Rajab,
- 44:15which means we are now planting the seed of spirituality.
- 44:22And then we in Shahaban was the Hadith water and then
- 44:27Shaharamov, is it Hadith? I don't know.
- 44:29Shaharamovan. We watched the blossoming of
- 44:31that. We harvest, we harvest, reap the
- 44:35rewards of that. Yeah, of that plant.
- 44:38But no, the idea being is that like we're now in the month of
- 44:42Rajab, we've had later Rakai, we've had willadas of Imam al
- 44:47Qadam, Alayhi Salaam, Imam Jawad, Ali Salaam Amiram, Omanim
- 44:52Alayhi Salaam and of course jihad would say the zeynab as
- 44:55well. There's a lot of a lot of
- 44:58remembrance, thicker for a while and some were sided of the
- 45:01Alberta name Salaam. In these months, Rajab always
- 45:04feels like a special month. We can feel it building.
- 45:08We can feel Shahram of our nearing.
- 45:10How do you feel right now? Yeah, I, I.
- 45:13Completely echo that I think with Roger when it comes is
- 45:15straight away you're thinking, OK, in my solo I've got recite
- 45:18that it just feels like you're in the you're in the kind of
- 45:24atmosphere of now Shahramadhan is around the corner right.
- 45:28This is the, this is the, this is the kind of, if you're really
- 45:32late to the party, this is when you start to prepare social
- 45:36Ramadan, right? I like that.
- 45:38Yeah. So yeah, like a month of
- 45:40fasting, month of worship. There's so many for that.
- 45:43I love the month of Rajab. Like with regards to fasting in
- 45:46the month of Rajab, if I can just quote one off the top of my
- 45:50head, one who fasts a day in, in the month of Rajab, we'll have a
- 45:55house built for him in Jannah, for example.
- 45:57There's so there's so many row arts about about fasting in
- 46:01Rajab and of course it's the month of the birth of Amir what
- 46:04mini Ali Salaam a month that is like it's rejoice for for Oshia
- 46:09like so when you think of Rajab, you think 13th Rajab, right Yeah
- 46:13what's happening on the 13th That's so true man every.
- 46:16Time you think about Molas Mollet, you know, and of course,
- 46:22Shali Mubarak, we say shali Mubarak, every single one of
- 46:24you. And to those watching and
- 46:26listening around the world. And I just want to ask something
- 46:28as well to this whole Rajab Shahbar Ramadan discussion that
- 46:31you've mentioned. And it's very true.
- 46:32I echo all of it because if I think about it, normally when we
- 46:36come to Shahramadan, the holy month of Ramadan, sometimes we
- 46:39see, we see like, OK, it's day one, but we're not in it.
- 46:43And then why? Because we haven't built
- 46:44ourselves from the previous months of shaman Rajab.
- 46:47And that's very true. I said this is where we start
- 46:50with this, the Amal. We do the most habad fasting
- 46:53that we do. It has that spiritual uplifting
- 46:56to prepare us for the holy month, insha'allah.
- 46:58And yes, back to 13, Rajab. Yeah.
- 47:01Ali, Ali, Ali. Where will he be without Ali?
- 47:04Where do I? Begin when praising him has no
- 47:09ends. Ali, his name sweet on the
- 47:15tongue. Ali his love expands the lung.
- 47:22I haven't finished off. I'm just going, I'm preparing
- 47:25something inshallah for an upcoming free station.
- 47:32His name? Expands the lungs Ali when?
- 47:35We. Do your moulded.
- 47:37We have a lot of fun. It's not going to work, not
- 47:42going. To work.
- 47:43We'll make it work somehow, no? Do you know what, Marshall?
- 47:45I'm like. It's a time of reflection.
- 47:47And also, you know, there's some the pride that we get from
- 47:52saying his name. Yeah, man, Ali.
- 47:54It's something that never, ever, ever will we be able to find
- 47:58that joy in anything else. And not just that, it's
- 48:01everything we do throughout, throughout the year.
- 48:03Every act of Ebada or every moment or occasion somehow links
- 48:07back to me. The what?
- 48:08Minin in the first month in Muharram, we remember that the
- 48:11tragedy of Mohammed Hussain began with the rejection that
- 48:15they had of his father. Yeah, when we come to Arbaeen
- 48:19and suffer, we remember that the daughter of Miramot Manin
- 48:23emulated to his qualities when she spoke out against injustice
- 48:26and spoke in favour of Imama and Wilaya.
- 48:29You know, Rajab, Shahaban, Shaharamavan, even Shaharamavan,
- 48:33while the rest of the Muslim world is doing everything we're
- 48:35doing at Hamdullah except Tarawi.
- 48:37But what we are doing is we're connecting that month back to
- 48:41the other debate and we remember that.
- 48:43What Amiram? What Minin gave in Shahana Mavan
- 48:47is something bigger than just the fasts.
- 48:49You know, he gave his life and he gave that amazing will.
- 48:53He gave to his his son's Imam Hazima Hussain Alayhi was
- 48:55Saddam. And then of course as you get
- 48:57towards the end of the year, you know you have malded and Nabi
- 49:02and you have Hajj and all of these different elements, they
- 49:05are all intertwined. Everything falls in place.
- 49:09The glue of our religion is without a mean of what?
- 49:12Minin Ali, Saddam, There's nothing.
- 49:14You know that we always talk about this on the point then you
- 49:16have. Hadir, of course.
- 49:19Like at the end of the year. Well, what I'm trying to.
- 49:21Say, is that Islam in general for the Shia or the non Shia?
- 49:26For us, it's like what the non Shia will see as a normal
- 49:29Islamic event in the calendar. We see it as an Islamic event in
- 49:32the calendar, which was made complete by amid of what?
- 49:35Minin. You see what I mean?
- 49:36Absolutely. Something that someone else will
- 49:38see, for example, Shahar or anything else, Qatar or whatever
- 49:43it is, these kind of key events, these key fixtures, We see it
- 49:46from another dimension, like one level further, there's a
- 49:50Matanova there. And also we have the Wyatt of
- 49:53the Alhabet and he was Saddam. Like when we read the Quran and
- 49:56we read the Sura, we read that the Makamat of the Alhabet
- 49:59through the Sura. You know, for example, Lasha had
- 50:01Al Malan. We sat with Sheikh Ayub and he's
- 50:03talking, talking about sort of like these are the kind of
- 50:10things that we learn through the and all of that comes back to
- 50:15the father of the of the Imams, Ali Salaam.
- 50:20So he is, you know, we we are complete through him, you know,
- 50:25and inshallah we're from him. You know I'm going to steal
- 50:28your. Question that you asked me from
- 50:29before the podcast and I'm going to put you both on the spot,
- 50:32Ali. What is your favorite?
- 50:35Hadith about the favaille of Emir, what we need or if you had
- 50:38to choose 1A favorite. Hadith, yeah, if I have to
- 50:42choose one about the you know how difficult that is because
- 50:46the whole good man. But I think sometimes the most
- 50:49simplest ones, the ones that are the most.
- 50:52Affect your life on. A day, day-to-day basis as a
- 50:54Muslim, not just as a Shiite, as a Muslim, when you hear things
- 50:58such as Ali Anum al Haqq al Hakuma Ali, why would you go
- 51:02anywhere else? We we say this all the time.
- 51:04And if if you have a mural Mutmaneen Imam Ali Ali Assalam
- 51:08that he is, you know, he is hack who he spends his time with what
- 51:15he advises on how he preaches nanny.
- 51:19If it wasn't for Emir and Mormonian, would we pray the
- 51:22same way Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi Ali prayed.
- 51:25Let's think about that. No, I'm I'm being I'm being
- 51:28genuine because there are historic reports that when he
- 51:31was caliph, right and he led the Salah and people were like, wow,
- 51:35this is how Rasool Allah used to pray.
- 51:37And then what happened to Islam? What I decide I don't want to
- 51:40change the whole subject. Now this is the truth of the
- 51:43matter. And also another thing I think
- 51:45we should also think about is titles as well.
- 51:47When we say Emir and Mormonian, that means there's a standard
- 51:51for us as Shia. You can't just be Muslims, bro.
- 51:54There's another you have to be a movement.
- 51:56We say he is our emir. That means we have to be a
- 51:59moment so he can be our emir and Mutman in soccer.
- 52:02And I think everything else in our lives had revolves around
- 52:05how do you feel when you. Do you ever think about like
- 52:07your mum named you Ali? I have a whole.
- 52:12Poetry written about it. Like, do you have a deep hit?
- 52:15Like we've got Ali, Ahmed and Muhammad, but like, you know,
- 52:19there's the three most not. Magnificent.
- 52:22Names Firstly Hamdullah. For being called Ali, I think
- 52:24it's a constant reminder for me, constant reminder that I have
- 52:28this name and it's a heavy name live up and there's a standard
- 52:32and a duty and a responsibility and a certain requirement that's
- 52:37needed of me to be who I am. Being called Ali.
- 52:41It's not something small, of course, Ali.
- 52:42Imagine being called Ali and entering for example, the places
- 52:46of Haram, listening to Haram or being indulging in Haram like
- 52:51hadn't been named after the Ehren and Beta being named after
- 52:54the the prophets and things like that.
- 52:56And I think it sort of reminds you of you being a Muslim, but
- 52:59it brings you back. Like it does bring you back,
- 53:01yeah. It does when you think about it.
- 53:03Actually deep it in proper life? I asked my mum.
- 53:06Once I said why did you name me Ali?
- 53:10She didn't say it was my father, by the way, like there was many
- 53:13names. Mohammed Ali, that's all.
- 53:15That's my little bit Ali Musalam.
- 53:16But she had, she wanted a boy. So I thought maybe I don't share
- 53:21all of it but she wanted me to be for a specific reason for
- 53:25example and she said if XYZ happens I'll call the money.
- 53:29I came to this world and she named me.
- 53:31Now I'm the last so I thank her. But I just want to mention that
- 53:36if I can say that poetry she I am proud.
- 53:42They call us and our heads held high proud of this label.
- 53:48How can we not be proud? Proud on the one whom the Kaaba
- 53:52cracked open and the House of God was his cradle.
- 53:55They asked who is Ali and who can blame them?
- 53:58Ali, the rightful successor, but no one told them.
- 54:02Can we blame them? Well, that's between God and
- 54:04between them. As for me, Ali is the first, Ali
- 54:07is the last. Without the Willai of the son of
- 54:09Abu Talib. My prayer is not accepted and
- 54:12neither is my fast. As for my mother, she named me
- 54:16Ali after Ali and she fed me the milk of the love of Ali.
- 54:21And As for my father, he died serving the son of Ali and
- 54:27thanks to him. The first words I would hear is
- 54:30the Adan with the mentioning of Ali.
- 54:34Yeah, Ali. My dad so when I when I wrote.
- 54:40That I remember, like when you said I'm in.
- 54:44I'm in the I'm in the mood now, man, you.
- 54:49Asked me, so what's your favorite hadith?
- 54:56Say, what's your favorite poem? Yeah, there's two things. 1 is a
- 55:02story, 1 is today. I was reading a little book,
- 55:05tiny little pocket size book. My grandmother gave me.
- 55:08It's called A Father's advice. It's like one of these 1950s
- 55:12tiny pocketbooks. OK.
- 55:15And I did open it. It's really bad if she hears
- 55:17this. I haven't opened it for years.
- 55:19It's tiny. It's like one of these
- 55:21paperbacks. And I thought it was just like,
- 55:24you know, how to be a good dad and what not from his stomach
- 55:27lens. It was when I had my first
- 55:28child, so I had it since 2021. I opened it today when I was
- 55:33cleaning out a room and I I went through it and it was like I
- 55:37mentioned earlier, a Middlemont minions will to Mama Hassan and
- 55:40Mama Hussein. And it was deep.
- 55:43It was like how to be a man dignity and respect,
- 55:47understanding the creation of a last Pano Tahala
- 55:49responsibilities to society, your home and around the home
- 55:53and outside of the home. I was like, this is a goldmine.
- 55:56And a few lines. I don't I don't want to read it
- 55:58out in case I misquote, but there's a few lines in there
- 56:00which really took me. And a lot of it was also
- 56:04relevant to today in terms of the whole masculinity red pill
- 56:08conversations that we have now as a society.
- 56:12And bro, these things were being talked about then.
- 56:15You're talking about Milam O Manin.
- 56:16At that point in his life, he was, you know, his halafa had
- 56:21come to an end or of course, was coming to an end.
- 56:23And you know, he had lived through the years of salt
- 56:27solitude and, and silence and neglect from the Omaha and the
- 56:32years prior. He had the days of glory on the
- 56:35battlefield and the days of glory alongside Rasala Muhammad,
- 56:38Salallahu, Alayhi Alayhi, and beyond that as well.
- 56:42At that point in his life. He knew when, of course, when he
- 56:46was struck that I'm, I'm leaving this world and he left this gem
- 56:51for us. And sometimes we don't really
- 56:53delve into it, but that's kind of something which I'm still
- 56:55exploring as of today. And you make sure you pass it
- 56:58on. To your son as well, that
- 57:00father's advice. I don't need to pass nothing, I
- 57:02told him. Look at what I mean, what we
- 57:04just said, man, you know what I mean?
- 57:06In terms of a story, We mentioned it before the candle
- 57:08story. That's the it's amazing.
- 57:10You know, a middle, my minion, who was it that came into the
- 57:12room? It was.
- 57:17Was it far as no way? I believe it was.
- 57:20It was. It was.
- 57:21It was, yeah. One of the companions at the
- 57:23time came into the room. He said, can I discuss a matter
- 57:25with you? A middle, my minion said is it
- 57:26personal or is it like a government based matter or a
- 57:30ministry matter? And he said no, it's personal.
- 57:32So a middle. My minion pinched the
- 57:34candlelight. He said why are you doing that?
- 57:36And he lit another candle. He said because this candle is
- 57:40my personal and this one is for the ministry.
- 57:43I can't be talking about things on a personal matter whilst the
- 57:46ministry candle's lit Why? Because that.
- 57:48Candle was purchased with the money from Beth and Mali for the
- 57:51Omar for the Muslims like we. Just want emira.
- 57:55Level 1000. IQ which shows you the level.
- 57:58Between him and and then nothing.
- 58:00And what they did with basically.
- 58:02Placed him. Yeah, placed.
- 58:03Him as. 4 The guy who? Came before him and people came
- 58:07after anyway. But do you know what is It's
- 58:10more of a fact that, you know, one tiny, tiny thing, like in
- 58:14terms of like small interaction over the course of maybe like 20
- 58:17seconds that happened 1300 years ago, 1400 years ago, live in,
- 58:23etched in the memory of history thousands of miles.
- 58:26Away. Many years later, you know, you
- 58:29have a Somali guy and Pakistani guy, Iraqi guys sitting in
- 58:32Bhutani and they're talking about this minute moment like
- 58:36it's the panel lab, bro. It's insane.
- 58:38Like you think about that and and the conscience that middle
- 58:40Mamani and Ali Salaam had to to know that he's being watched by
- 58:46a last one sailor and he has an Amana of what he's purchased for
- 58:50the Omar even 1 candle, it's burning wax for like a couple
- 58:54minutes more. What how can it do all?
- 58:56I don't say all of us. I I would not think like it
- 58:59wouldn't. It wouldn't occur to me would
- 59:01not occur to me, bro. I don't think it will, no.
- 59:03But what's the equivalent you have?
- 59:04To be on a certain level. What is the equivalent?
- 59:06It's like you have to be nefsa rasool.
- 59:09Honestly, it's a different level of understanding, but just
- 59:11speaking about that. You mentioned for example, you
- 59:14know he's he has a lost pan Wattala in the back of his mind
- 59:17and being God conscious having that certain level of taqwa, the
- 59:20highest level of taqwa. We can say is that because he
- 59:23had a lost pan Wattala at his in the front of everything for him
- 59:30that even to the extent that during the hijacked caliph of
- 59:36Islam when it was ruled by 1-2 and three, he would still advise
- 59:40them why for the. Good of the Omar for the good of
- 59:43the Omar. Like like.
- 59:45Think about you know, these people have hijacked your
- 59:48falafel. They've abused.
- 59:51And they've abused. They've harassed.
- 59:53They've they've, they've murdered your wife.
- 59:56At the end of the day, this is what?
- 59:59But you still sit. Down and advise them.
- 1:00:03They come to you and. You can still share knowledge
- 1:00:05with them. It's not easy, Allah.
- 1:00:09I don't think it was easy for Emir Al Mamuni to do that.
- 1:00:12But he done it for the greater good, for the ummah, for the
- 1:00:15benefit of of the Muslims and Islam, for it to flourish and so
- 1:00:19to say. Do you know?
- 1:00:20Yeah. Sorry, have you do you know what
- 1:00:22it's like when when we talk about Islam to non-Muslims and
- 1:00:26you see like for example, the strategies employed by other
- 1:00:29Muslims when they talk to and non-Muslims about Islam and
- 1:00:32their religion. A lot of the time it's using
- 1:00:34theological proofs from the on and talking about evolution and
- 1:00:37science and XY and Z. To be really honest, I think a
- 1:00:41lot of it comes back to, you know, I'm going to say these
- 1:00:43small acts of goodness and charity and humanism,
- 1:00:47humanitarianism that the Salam and of course like founded by
- 1:00:52and 1st used by is what brings people towards the beauty of
- 1:00:59Islam. How does how does in the 1st
- 1:01:02place show people that he is who he says he was?
- 1:01:06Just what I mean? And like that he's a man who can
- 1:01:09be trusted and he's a man who's true in his words.
- 1:01:12You know, what was it about his infectious and lovable
- 1:01:14personality that people around him found solace in him?
- 1:01:18You know, they found admiration in his qualities.
- 1:01:20They cherished every moment with him to the point where we have
- 1:01:23the Wyatt, if I'm not mistaken, after his death, you where you
- 1:01:26had people who would still try and pick up hairs of Rasulullah
- 1:01:29and cling on to things and claim of claim the Shafa on on what
- 1:01:33not because they knew that there was something different.
- 1:01:35There's an aura that came from Alan Kesar.
- 1:01:37Do you know what I mean? And that's something which is
- 1:01:40it's supernatural and it supersedes what we see in
- 1:01:43day-to-day interactions. The best people we know misuse
- 1:01:46public funds or misuse private funds.
- 1:01:48And these are things that are ordinary for us.
- 1:01:50She saw what I mean. For example, say Mushtaba, for
- 1:01:53example, let's say he leaves, I don't know, a crate of water.
- 1:01:57And he says this water is for the aftermarket team, right?
- 1:02:01And it's his. If someone comes in from
- 1:02:03outside, can I have on us? Yeah, take one.
- 1:02:05We've got loads, bro. It's not mine to give away.
- 1:02:07It won't occur to me. Do you see what I mean?
- 1:02:09I think I'm being generous. Yeah.
- 1:02:10Yeah, go. But like, these are small things
- 1:02:12that they slip your mind. They may not even be sins.
- 1:02:15We don't know. But they're they're they're
- 1:02:17mishaps or errors or shortcomings, which the IMA
- 1:02:21Ailey Musalam, even you know this.
- 1:02:23Obviously, we don't want to make it a fallibility discussion, but
- 1:02:26I'm saying that these are things which we don't have instances
- 1:02:29like this from the lives of the imams, I am Salaam where they
- 1:02:33even had shortcomings, if I'm not mistaken, where they could
- 1:02:36even show like, oh, their judgement in this case was not
- 1:02:39as good as it could have been. Do you see what I mean?
- 1:02:41Like in every case, the judgement was as good as it
- 1:02:44could have been when you when you look at Amira Mumminian.
- 1:02:46And the way he speaks about a loss of panel to other, like
- 1:02:49there are statements that they genuinely they send shivers down
- 1:02:53your spine. Like I mean what we mean.
- 1:02:55There's a beautiful hadith where he says he says sitting in the
- 1:02:59Masjid for me is more beloved to me than sitting in Jannah.
- 1:03:06He says why? Because sitting in the Masjid is
- 1:03:10for the pleasure of Allah and sitting in Jannah is for my own
- 1:03:12pleasure, Allah. Who thinks like that?
- 1:03:16Like that? That in like honestly, all, all
- 1:03:20of us, all creation, all Muslims, all, you know,
- 1:03:24Abrahamic faiths, everybody, everything that we do in terms
- 1:03:28of like, you know, our connection with our last panel
- 1:03:30to Allah is always, there's always that aspect of I want
- 1:03:34that I want that reward at the end.
- 1:03:36We sit in the. Masjid for Jannah Yeah, there's
- 1:03:39a bit of an instance. I'd rather sit in the Masjid
- 1:03:41than in general. And that is like it it
- 1:03:44completely it shows you what kind of individual this this
- 1:03:47person is. And bro, that's with his
- 1:03:49knowledge. Of what Jenna truly is like, He
- 1:03:53knows. What it looks like.
- 1:03:54What he gets, how long the eternity is an XY and Z.
- 1:03:57He knows he's guaranteed it this and he still says I'd rather be
- 1:04:01here. So one of us.
- 1:04:02That's incredible and a master then, dare I say, would probably
- 1:04:07not be as comfortable as I must have now 100% we have both like
- 1:04:10LE DS and heating and massage chairs and you know good topics
- 1:04:15speaking about all of this I'm. I'm sure it's not just Shia who
- 1:04:19have these discussions. I'm sure there's people from
- 1:04:21other sects who, for example, bring up these fibale and these
- 1:04:23mirrors and these narrations and these reports from history about
- 1:04:26Emir Al Mutmani, Imam Ali, Ali Salaam.
- 1:04:30How come they just. Well, do you know what?
- 1:04:33Look, that's what I. Understand people, people who I
- 1:04:36genuinely don't understand. Leap of faith.
- 1:04:37There's a leap of faith that you have to make because I know for
- 1:04:40a fact that there are Sunnis who love a Miramat mini or who know
- 1:04:43more for vile and more hadith and more stories about Miramat
- 1:04:47min then some Shia. Yeah, right.
- 1:04:49We know that we hear it. We see it every year, right?
- 1:04:52But there's a leap of faith, like there's a belief system
- 1:04:55leap of faith that needs to be made in terms of what you, what
- 1:04:59your gut and your soul is telling you is true and what you
- 1:05:02say is true, right? Because you say, yeah, great
- 1:05:06companion, son-in-law, cousin XYZ, but you're not making the
- 1:05:10leap of faith. Well, when you see all those for
- 1:05:12violin, you know that no one matches it.
- 1:05:14Why can't you just basically do what you think is?
- 1:05:18It's literally a. Fact that in the Sunni books of
- 1:05:21hadith there is nobody like, let me repeat that there is nobody
- 1:05:27from the companions of Rasulullah that has as many for
- 1:05:30violence. I mean what we mean, it's a
- 1:05:32fact. If you go and you list and you
- 1:05:35say, OK, let me go through the Sunni books of hadith.
- 1:05:37Let me look at the faval of Amir Mumunin and compare to, for
- 1:05:41example, the faval of their false and fabricated, even even
- 1:05:46fabricated hadith that they have of praising specific companions.
- 1:05:51Even with the fabrications, they don't reach the number of the
- 1:05:54faval of Amir. And to the extent that there are
- 1:05:57scholars, like, for example, an necessary, he wrote an entire
- 1:06:01book about the Fordial of a man who was killed for it.
- 1:06:03And people, they started questioning him, like, what are
- 1:06:06you doing? Are you Shia?
- 1:06:07Why don't you go and write a book of Fordial about Maria?
- 1:06:11And and what did you know? What he said, he said.
- 1:06:14I don't know any Fordial. I've never read the thing.
- 1:06:18He said that the only. Thing that that could be
- 1:06:21interpreted as a potential is that yeah, may Allah never feel
- 1:06:27your. Stomach.
- 1:06:28Yeah. And they anger they.
- 1:06:30You know, it was Rasulullah called upon him three times and
- 1:06:33he didn't respond. He was eating.
- 1:06:35Yeah. And you like this joke eating
- 1:06:37with me. Yeah.
- 1:06:39Right. And that's where he didn't when
- 1:06:41he didn't respond and Rasulullah said may Allah never feel his
- 1:06:45stomach and the in the Sunni books of Haditha or Sunni
- 1:06:49commentators, they present this as a phrase, as a praise that
- 1:06:52like look Asulullah was he loved my alias to always.
- 1:06:57Enjoy good food. But they killed and they started
- 1:07:00for that. Yeah, literally his.
- 1:07:02College died for that. And it's shocking because
- 1:07:05especially coming from like South Asian kind of context,
- 1:07:08right? We listen to like pasidas,
- 1:07:11nasheeds, knots and things like that in the Pakistani like Sunni
- 1:07:16kind of circles. Bro, you here for a while.
- 1:07:19I mean in there that are like you're thinking you're like
- 1:07:22you're thinking, bro. I know some Shias that don't
- 1:07:24believe that borderline shirtpods it's.
- 1:07:26Like I don't Shias. I don't believe that and they'll
- 1:07:29be mentioning it and then I'll realise I'll be like they're
- 1:07:32mentioning these things because they're also mentioned in their
- 1:07:35books and when you look for those Hadith, you'll find them
- 1:07:39in Sunni books. It's just that those who are
- 1:07:42looking for them and have have knowledge of what Rasullah has
- 1:07:45said about Amil what me they're mentioning it.
- 1:07:48But others genuinely with all the number of hadith that exist.
- 1:07:53Some people are genuinely scared to say the father I love Amil
- 1:07:58what me when they're from other sex.
- 1:08:00They don't want to be accused or you're.
- 1:08:02You're Shia. You're becoming you're you're,
- 1:08:04you know you're. Come on, Mention Abu Baker,
- 1:08:06mention Omar. It's like that.
- 1:08:08That's how it becomes in, in, in other circles.
- 1:08:10It's insecurity. Yeah, Yeah, big time.
- 1:08:12But. We see that a lot nowadays
- 1:08:13online as well. Like if anyone praises the
- 1:08:15minimum mini in there in Sunni Shia straight away or they'll
- 1:08:18say to you prove you're not Shia by praising something else.
- 1:08:21Exactly, I'll say which is. Crazy like, come on, man, what
- 1:08:24world do we live in? But do you know?
- 1:08:25Do you know the? Reason why I mentioned I was
- 1:08:26like, why do people like if they know the status and this
- 1:08:29position and you know how our last panel at Allah saw him and
- 1:08:33how Rasul Allah spoke good of him and things like this.
- 1:08:36And you still choose not to take him as your first Imam, for
- 1:08:38example. Because if I go back to that
- 1:08:40point and expand on it, when he used to advise the caliphs, for
- 1:08:43example, the second caliph came to Emir Abdulmanin once again
- 1:08:47for advice. And after the advice was done
- 1:08:49and he goes to him, he goes to him.
- 1:08:51How do you know all these answers?
- 1:08:53Like where do you get them from? And he told them, you know, he
- 1:08:56told him, for example, Amar, you know, take your hands out, how
- 1:08:59much fingers do you have? I don't know if you guys have
- 1:09:00heard this. And then Omar tells Imam Ali
- 1:09:03goes, I've got 5 fingers. He goes the same way.
- 1:09:05You see five fingers on your hands.
- 1:09:06This is how I see all the answers.
- 1:09:08I have all the answers to to the questions.
- 1:09:11And then he told them, I'll tell you something more than that.
- 1:09:14Rasul. Allah taught me all of this.
- 1:09:17And also Allah told me 1000 doors of knowledge and each door
- 1:09:21of knowledge has another 1000 doors.
- 1:09:23And if the caliphs at that time, for example, understood the end
- 1:09:28of Emir al Nomani and the knowledge he possesses and the
- 1:09:31answers that he has if they were.
- 1:09:35Unable to they. Said Ali.
- 1:09:36They knew and that's. Why they kept calling him?
- 1:09:38This is why I. This is what they say until
- 1:09:41today to them. And they would.
- 1:09:43Ask a question and they would be like, who's the most
- 1:09:45knowledgeable from you? And they'll be like, let's give
- 1:09:48it a second. There's Ali in Amit.
- 1:09:50Ali is in his house. Go and call him.
- 1:09:51Yeah, they know. They know.
- 1:09:53This is why I say even. Until today.
- 1:09:55And if you know his status, why? Why?
- 1:09:59I don't know if we should get. Into this conversation, but
- 1:10:01maybe for another day, but I think, I think.
- 1:10:03The answer it's The thing is, yeah, we.
- 1:10:06Have we have talking throwing a growing trend of like like, but
- 1:10:12to say I don't want to get. Into this as part of the
- 1:10:14problem. No, I mean.
- 1:10:14No, no, I mean. Like because it's a long
- 1:10:16conversation, so for example. Yeah, as in terms.
- 1:10:18Of like it's it's but like in the sense that you know, the
- 1:10:24talk about the status of the Imam, his if there were
- 1:10:28parameters and boundaries and restrictions on what he knew and
- 1:10:30didn't know, his level of infallibility.
- 1:10:33Like that's a whole deep conversation, but it should be
- 1:10:37getting gotten into one day, I think.
- 1:10:38Let me suffice. With the hadith of Rasulullah
- 1:10:42about Amir. He said.
- 1:10:45Methalu Methalu Ali and ficom kamethalil cow.
- 1:10:50The example. Of Ali among you among the ummah
- 1:10:53is like the cab another or Ileha Ebada will had you Ileha Farida.
- 1:11:00Looking at the cab is worship. And coming in pilgrimage towards
- 1:11:05it is an obligation. This is like, you know this is
- 1:11:10the. Where can that be found?
- 1:11:11This is found in. Many of the books of hadith I've
- 1:11:13I've seen it in a mossua of of the hadith about Amir Mokminin.
- 1:11:18I think by it's a mossua it's like a like a collection or like
- 1:11:24an encyclopedia about a hadith about a specific individual, but
- 1:11:28it's a tertiary source. I believe it was written by art
- 1:11:30of the Hadid Najafi, one of the Mosul art about Amir Mokminin,
- 1:11:34but I'm sure there's a earlier source.
- 1:11:36I can't remember at the moment. But yeah, this beautiful hadith,
- 1:11:39like I think it just summarizes for you the centrality of Amir
- 1:11:44Mumminin for all Muslims. When we look at the the Kaaba,
- 1:11:48and it's obviously it's ironic that the Kaaba is used here
- 1:11:52because the Kaaba in and of itself is the birth place of
- 1:11:56Amir Mumminin, right? So we see like the the the
- 1:11:59centrality of Amir Mummininin, we we see the level of
- 1:12:03inspiration we should take from. I mean, if Rasulullah describes
- 1:12:06him as the centre and we look at the cattle.
- 1:12:09But even if you look at it like from a geographical perspective,
- 1:12:12it. Is the centre.
- 1:12:13Of the earth, right? From a geographical perspective,
- 1:12:16it is the centre that all Muslims turn to every day in
- 1:12:21order for you to the most important thing in your life is
- 1:12:24Salah, right? If it's accepted, everything
- 1:12:26else is accepted. Your Salah is dependent on you
- 1:12:30facing towards that equivalent. The same way Amir Mumminin, he's
- 1:12:35the person that everything in our lives is dependent on.
- 1:12:38It's like you said, right? The events throughout the year
- 1:12:42all dependent on Amir Mumminin. He completes them.
- 1:12:44Our worship Amir Mumminin completes them, our belief Amir
- 1:12:49Mumminin completes, and Islam as a whole Amir Mumminin completes.
- 1:12:53So you see that? Is just Amir Mumminin like, you
- 1:12:58know, there's no words. There's no words for Amira
- 1:13:00Mummini. Genuinely, it's as you said in
- 1:13:03your first line of of poetry. If you can very kindly repeat
- 1:13:06it, Ali, where do I? Begin when praising you has no
- 1:13:10ends. Habib, you said it so
- 1:13:12beautifully and eloquently, and I think that was the cherry on
- 1:13:15top of the conversation. Honestly, it's been a great.
- 1:13:18It's been a great reflection and reminder about the merits of mum
- 1:13:23Ali. But I'm now looking forward
- 1:13:25because we're recording this before 13th of Ranjeb.
- 1:13:28I'm I'm looking forward to the to the for Vine and the
- 1:13:31celebrations. It's fun.
- 1:13:33It's proper fun every year have the I'm looking forward to it.
