  Exodus chapter 24 verse one. And he said unto Moses, come up

  unto the Lord, you and Aaron Nate dab Abahu 70 of the elders
• 0:14
  of Israel and worship you far off.
• 0:16
  So you're going to need to understand is that he's already
• 0:19
  given him all the words to speak to the elders.
• 0:23
  We know that old Jethro, his father-in-law had told him the
• 0:27
  thing that he was doing was not good.
• 0:29
  We know that Moses used to sit and wait for the lines of people
• 0:34
  to come and bring all of their cases to him.
• 0:37
  And he had to sit and he had to judge and he had to think and he
• 0:40
  had to reason. And he had to go to God and ask
• 0:43
  God how he felt about all the things that were happening in
• 0:46
  the camp of the Israelites. And so we see that Jethro came
• 0:51
  on the scene bringing Moses's wife and his two sons back with
• 0:55
  him to give to him. And then we see that he observed
• 0:59
  Moses as Moses was out there trying to make heads and tails
• 1:03
  of so many different events. And now we see Jethro's advice
• 1:08
  has been taken, and Moses has gathered together the elders,
• 1:13
  those that would represent the hundreds and those that would
• 1:17
  represent 10's and those that would represent the people.
• 1:21
  And we see here that he is relaying to them all of the
• 1:27
  things in the mind of God that God had given him throughout the
• 1:30
  time of his friendship that he had with God.
• 1:34
  The great I am the one from the burning Bush, the one who has
• 1:38
  caused the plagues that have sent them and expelled them out.
• 1:42
  And they are, they're in the wilderness.
• 1:45
  They've walked across the dry land.
• 1:47
  They have seen the miracles of the cloud and the manna.
• 1:50
  They have seen the fire by night.
• 1:52
  They've seen the quail. They've seen the water from the
• 1:55
  rock. They've seen the bitter water
• 1:57
  made sweet. They've seen so many of the
• 2:00
  different miracles of God. And here they are.
• 2:04
  And they're saying anything that God says we will do.
• 2:08
  But we must wait and stay tuned to see what's going to happen.
• 2:11
  Let's go to verse 2. And Moses alone shall come near
• 2:16
  the Lord, but they shall not come near, neither shall the
• 2:19
  people go up with him. So we're going to see here that
• 2:23
  Moses is invited to this sacred space, the Shekinah glory, the
• 2:29
  all consuming fire of God, the manifest presence of Elohim, the
• 2:35
  Most High God, El Elyon. And we're going to get to see
• 2:39
  here that Moses is singled out and he's allowed to come in to
• 2:44
  the proximity of a holy God. Verse 3 And Moses came and told
• 2:49
  the people all the words of the Lord and all the judgments, and
• 2:52
  all the people answered with one voice and said all the words
• 2:56
  which the Lord has said and we will do.
• 2:59
  Look at their knee jerk reaction.
• 3:01
  This seems easy to them to obey all the hard words from chapter
• 3:06
  21 and chapter 22 and chapter 23, hard words from God straight
• 3:13
  to the people. And they very easily casually
• 3:18
  say all these things we shall do.
• 3:21
  We're going to have to wait and stay tuned to see if they
• 3:24
  actually meant what they said. And Moses wrote all the words of
• 3:30
  the Lord and rose up early in the morning and built an altar
• 3:33
  under the hill and 12 pillars according to the 12 tribes of
• 3:38
  Israel. So we know that Moses was
• 3:40
  desirous to honor God, and so he set this place of worship up and
• 3:46
  it had the representation of the 12 tribes of Israel.
• 3:49
  We know that God said not to cut any of the stones, but to just
• 3:53
  let it be natural, intentionally organic, and God will show up
• 3:58
  and God will honor this. Five.
• 4:03
  And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which
• 4:06
  offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of ox
• 4:11
  unto the Lord. So we see here that he's God is
• 4:14
  already instituting through his main man, Moses.
• 4:19
  He is instituting all of the sacrificial things which will
• 4:23
  point us towards the ultimate sacrifice and there is no more
• 4:28
  need for the blood of bulls and goats to satisfy the wrath of
• 4:32
  God because Jesus Christ is the all sufficient sacrifice.
• 4:37
  And everything was pointing towards Jesus Christ and
• 4:41
  everything now and everything in the future will point back to
• 4:45
  the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross.
• 4:49
  There at Golgotha, at Calvary, the pinnacle of all
• 4:53
  civilization, the pinnacle of all humanity was there on that
• 4:58
  cross. Whenever the earth shook and the
• 5:01
  sun did not give light, we saw bodies coming up from the
• 5:05
  graves. We saw so many miracles upon
• 5:07
  miracles happen and so much of the prophetic being actually
• 5:12
  fleshed out during that time of Jesus and his time on this
• 5:16
  earth. And we will see greater things.
• 5:19
  Friends, God is wanting to show us more.
• 5:23
  He's wanting us to get in the game for us to actually see all
• 5:27
  of the future prophecies come to fruition, all the words of the
• 5:31
  Bible that is alive and active and sharper than any 2 edged
• 5:34
  sword. God wants us to be able to
• 5:37
  believe his words and to see everything that's happening all
• 5:41
  around us through the the lens of prophecy.
• 5:44
  What an amazing God we serve. What an amazing time that we
• 5:47
  live in. This is not a time to be fearful
• 5:50
  and frightful. This is a time to be excited
• 5:54
  about God's words actually being manifests, His words actually
• 5:59
  coming to fruition. And if you look at the world and
• 6:02
  have a worldview through the biblical lens, you're going to
• 6:06
  see that God is still working. God is still performing
• 6:09
  miracles. God is still rescuing the
• 6:12
  captives, as he did so long ago. 6 And Moses took half of the
• 6:20
  blood and put it in basins, and half of the blood he sprinkled
• 6:24
  on the altar. So as they're sacrificing the
• 6:28
  ox, he's draining the blood into basins, and he's putting half of
• 6:36
  it on the altar. We're going to have to find out
• 6:39
  what he does with the other half. 7 And he took the book of
• 6:47
  the covenant, and he read it in the audience of the people, and
• 6:51
  they said all that the Lord has said we will do and be obedient.
• 6:57
  So we can see here that the people thought that their heart
• 7:00
  was in the right place because they're seeing all of the
• 7:03
  miracles of God that he's done. They're saying, yes, we will
• 7:07
  obey God. We will do the things that you
• 7:09
  outlined in Exodus chapter 21 and chapter 22 and chapter 23.
• 7:16
  We'll do all those hard things. We'll actually do them, but
• 7:21
  let's see what happens. 8 And Moses took the blood, and he
• 7:26
  sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the
• 7:33
  covenant which the Lord has made with you concerning all these
• 7:37
  words. So we know that there is no
• 7:40
  forgiveness of sins without the shedding of blood.
• 7:47
  And we see that Jesus's blood sprinkled down upon us and made
• 7:51
  us whole and made us holy and made us pure and made us
• 7:55
  innocent in the sight of God. And he has girded up our loins
• 7:59
  so that we can stand in his holy presence.
• 8:02
  We can come boldly into the throne room of God.
• 8:04
  We can come boldly into the holiest of holy places.
• 8:08
  The veil was torn from top to bottom.
• 8:10
  And now we can be confident in Jesus, be confident in the
• 8:16
  sacrifice, be confident in the acceptance, be confident that it
• 8:21
  is just as if we have never done it, that His righteousness was
• 8:25
  given to us and all of our sins were placed upon Jesus Christ.
• 8:30
  All of what you're seeing here in chapter 24 is pointing
• 8:35
  towards the beautiful sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ on the
• 8:39
  Passover. Friends.
• 8:44
  Nine and then went up Moses and Aaron and Nate Dapp and Abihu
• 8:49
  and the 70 of the elders of Israel. 10 And they saw God of
• 8:53
  Israel, and there was under his feet, as it were, a paved work
• 8:59
  of sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his
• 9:05
  clearness. So they're getting to see this
• 9:08
  theophany of just the footstool of heaven, the footstool of God.
• 9:15
  They're getting to peek into peer into eternity.
• 9:21
  God lives outside of time, but he interjects himself for
• 9:25
  moments where we can see the reality.
• 9:29
  And by the way, friends, heaven is the reality and this is all
• 9:36
  just a test. Everything in our lives from the
• 9:39
  beginning of time where God decided that He was going to
• 9:44
  create the heavens and the earth.
• 9:46
  When God said that let there be life.
• 9:49
  And when God said when He breathed into us and light came,
• 9:53
  when He made the stars and He made the planets and everything,
• 9:57
  it was all for this testing ground that you and I are in.
• 10:03
  And it's all going to culminate, friends, at the great white
• 10:08
  throne, where every knee will bow and every tongue will
• 10:11
  confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
• 10:14
  And it's better to do it now. It's better to do it while you
• 10:18
  have time. Because if you are to take your
• 10:20
  last breath and not place your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ,
• 10:24
  there's no more chances for you, Friends, today is the day of
• 10:29
  salvation. His mercies are new every day.
• 10:32
  And that is what it's all about. Everything in all the earth,
• 10:36
  from every continent, every people group and every
• 10:39
  generation, it all points to this Jewish king.
• 10:43
  It all points to this Jewish God.
• 10:47
  It all points to Jehovah Nisi, our banner.
• 10:51
  It all points to Yahweh everlasting, the Most High God,
• 10:55
  God Almighty. It all points to Jesus Christ,
• 10:59
  and we must put our faith in Him now.
• 11:02
  Don't wait till it's too late, friends.
• 11:09
  And they got to see this sliver, this slice, they got to see the
• 11:15
  manifest presence of God on this earth. 11 And upon the nobles of
• 11:20
  the children of Israel. He laid not his hand.
• 11:23
  Also. They saw God, and they did eat
• 11:26
  and drink. So they have this amazing time
• 11:30
  of fellowship in the presence of God there on the mount. 12 And
• 11:38
  the Lord said to Moses, come up to me in the mount and be there,
• 11:44
  and I will give you tables of stone and the law and
• 11:48
  commandments which I have written, that you may teach
• 11:51
  them. So we got to know there's a
• 11:53
  break between verse 11 and verse 12.
• 11:56
  Verse 11 culminated with this great feast in the presence of
• 12:01
  God, but they had already come down the mountain on verse 12.
• 12:05
  And at verse 12, the friend of God, Moses, is communing with
• 12:11
  God, and God says come up to the mountain top, and he's going to
• 12:16
  give him tables of stone that were handwritten by the finger
• 12:20
  of God. 13 And Moses rose up, and his minister, Joshua and
• 12:28
  Moses went up into the mount of God.
• 12:31
  So look at how Joshua is mentioned again here in
• 12:35
  Scriptures. And we see that Joshua was
• 12:39
  Moses's right hand man, not Aaron, not her.
• 12:42
  But Joshua was the one to take the reins upon Moses's death.
• 12:49
  And we're going to see that Joshua had a coveted position of
• 12:53
  following Moses halfway up the Mount 14 And he said to the
• 13:00
  elders, stay here for us until we come again to you.
• 13:05
  And behold, Aaron, and hurl with you.
• 13:08
  If any man have a matter to do, let him come to them.
• 13:12
  So he puts her and Aaron in charge of all the people.
• 13:17
  And imagine they just got done seeing this sapphire sea of
• 13:20
  glass mingled with fire. They got to see the clearness of
• 13:24
  God. They got to see his feet on the
• 13:26
  footstool. They got to share a meal in the
• 13:29
  presence of God. And now Moses is trusting them
• 13:33
  that they'll know what to do when the matters arise. 15 And
• 13:41
  Moses went up into the mount, and the cloud covered the mount.
• 13:45
  So we can see this Shekinah glory of God, the manifest
• 13:49
  presence. We see that the all consuming
• 13:53
  fire comes down upon the mountaintop 16 in the glory of
• 13:59
  the Lord abode upon Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it 6 days.
• 14:05
  And the 7th day he called to Moses out of the midst of the
• 14:09
  cloud. So can you see Joshua and Moses
• 14:12
  heading up the mountain? Can you see that they're at the
• 14:15
  halfway point and they see this cloud come down to the mountain?
• 14:20
  Can you see after their being there in the middle of the
• 14:23
  mountain for a week? God says, Come up here, Moses,
• 14:26
  and he leaves Joshua halfway up. 17 In the sight of the glory of
• 14:32
  the Lord was like devouring fire on the top of the mountain in
• 14:37
  the eyes of the children of Israel, so all the people at the
• 14:40
  base could see this presence of God descend upon the mountain
• 14:45
  top. 18 And Moses went into the midst of the cloud and got him
• 14:52
  up into the mountain. And Moses was in the Mount 40
• 14:55
  days and 40 nights. So for six weeks Moses spent
• 15:00
  time with God. And we know that he did not eat
• 15:03
  or drink during this time. He was being fueled by this all
• 15:08
  consuming fire. This transcends all of the
• 15:13
  physical. This transcends all of our
• 15:17
  understanding is that a man could go for 40 days and 40
• 15:21
  nights in the presence of God and need nothing.
• 15:25
  What an amazing God we serve. I hope that you get excited
• 15:29
  about spending time with God. I pray that it is the highlight
• 15:33
  of your day, the highlight of your life.
• 15:35
  I pray that you go to the mountaintop and refuse to leave.
• 15:39
  I pray that you go in your prayer closet, that you go in
• 15:42
  the holiest of holy places and you pray and dine and Sup with a
• 15:47
  holy God. He desires all of your adoration
• 15:51
  and all of your affection and all of yourself.
• 15:54
  Give it to Him, he deserves it. Lord God, come and get your
• 16:00
  glory. Hope you've been blessed by this
• 16:02
  amazing chapter in God's Word. I know I sure have.
• 16:05

  Father, we thank you for another opportunity to come and to learn

  about you. We thank you, God, that you are

  holy and worthy. We thank you, God, for rescuing

  good and kind. Thank you, God, for everything.
