  going for a while. This iteration of Centennial has

  only been going for two years, but Centennial as a company in

  general has been going for six years.

  But you know, we've never had our big break moment.

  We've never had anything that's happened that's really like

  skyrocketed our success and put us kind of into the cultural

  zeitgeist in a way that some of our peers have had.

  So I'm hoping I'm manifesting that 2026 gives us that.

  All right, I have a somewhat big episode for you guys.

  I think I have 5 stories today. The first story that I have for

  you guys, this was more just, it's like I need to talk about

  this. I need to talk about the
• 2:56
  Stranger Things finale and how the fans are crashing out,

  myself included. So if you guys don't care about

  Stranger Things, there are time stamps always in every single
• 3:06
  description. If you haven't seen the finale,
• 3:08
  you don't want spoilers. Please skip ahead as well.

  I will be giving spoilers. And so yeah, you'll need some
• 3:13
  context to understand this story.

  So Stranger Things ended over the break, and a lot of fans are
• 3:22
  unhappy with the ending. Like I said, me included, there
• 3:25
  are a lot of criticisms. I'm not going to be able to get
• 3:28
  into all of them, so I'll touch on some of the most talked
• 3:30
  about. First, the writing was bad,
• 3:33
  especially in the second-half of the season.
• 3:36
  There was too much plot armor around the main characters, so
• 3:39
  the stakes didn't feel very high compared to previous seasons.
• 3:42
  The pacing was off. The ending somehow felt too
• 3:46
  simple and yet also too complicated because there was so
• 3:50
  much missing context. Possibly the biggest criticism,
• 3:54
  though, is that there was this stage play.
• 3:57
  I didn't even know about this until season 5 and people
• 4:00
  started talking about this, but there was a stage play that
• 4:03
  premiered between season 4 and season 5.
• 4:06
  It only ran, I believe, in New York City and London, and it was
• 4:09
  like essential viewing for understanding the context of
• 4:13
  Season 5 of Henry Creel and then Vecna's story and kind of of the
• 4:17
  timeline there. And apparently it filled in a
• 4:20
  lot of gaps, not all of them, but a lot of them.
• 4:23
  And it gave you some of that background and that context that
• 4:26
  really felt unexplained in the final season, especially with
• 4:30
  like that guy in The Cave and Henry killing him and the
• 4:34
  briefcase. Apparently a lot of that's
• 4:35
  explained in the stage play. So the fact that there was a
• 4:38
  stage play that only played in like 2 cities that obviously
• 4:42
  99.9% of viewers would have never seen became essential
• 4:47
  viewing is wild. OK so I'm going to talk about
• 4:50
  the final episode. Spoilers ahead.
• 4:52
  Within the first hour of the final episode, the crew killed
• 4:56
  Vecna. But the way that they killed
• 4:58
  him, it just made like no sense. He was inside the Mind Flayer
• 5:02
  and they got inside, they ambushed him and Al just like
• 5:05
  impaled him basically on this like pointy rock thing with her
• 5:09
  mind. However, we know that first of
• 5:12
  all, Vecna is inside of Will's mind.
• 5:14
  So the fact that he was ambushed, I don't know, I don't
• 5:17
  I don't think that like totally makes a lot of sense.
• 5:20
  However, also, where were the Demogorgans?
• 5:22
  They live in that dimension. We know that.
• 5:26
  How come they weren't there? Why was Vecna fighting this
• 5:29
  whole team alone without his like crew of monsters?
• 5:33
  People have issue with the fact that the Duffer brothers said
• 5:36
  that five people would die and they also claim that somebody
• 5:39
  would be a traitor. And I suppose you could probably
• 5:41
  argue a case for all of those things, but a lot of people feel
• 5:45
  like that really stretched the truth of the final episode to
• 5:48
  really hype up the finale. We don't really know what
• 5:51
  happened to Elle. I think people weren't super
• 5:55
  happy with how her storyline was wrapped up.
• 5:57
  These are just some of the examples that people took issue
• 6:00
  with. I don't actually think people
• 6:02
  have an issue with it being like a quote UN quote happy ending
• 6:04
  aside from the possibility that Elle died or is at least like
• 6:08
  alone now. For the most part it was a happy
• 6:11
  ending and I think what people feel the most betrayed by was
• 6:15
  the fact that it was for seasons like very high quality
• 6:19
  storytelling and then the final season and especially the final
• 6:22
  episode was not that. It was disjointed, it was messy,
• 6:27
  it felt like things were not considered or tied up well.
• 6:30
  Now, the Duffer brothers have been doing interviews since the
• 6:33
  finale, and some of their answers have left fans even more
• 6:36
  confused. For example, when asked how the
• 6:38
  characters were able to kill Vecna without intervention from
• 6:41
  the Demogorgens, which obviously have protected him so many
• 6:44
  times. That's like the point they said,
• 6:46
  quote. Mainly.
• 6:47
  It's just that Vecna was not expecting the sneak attack on
• 6:50
  his home turf. Never in a million years could
• 6:53
  he have imagined that they're there somewhere.
• 6:56
  Now there are two main theories is floating around the stranger
• 6:58
  things subreddit and TikTok to kind of explain how this could
• 7:02
  have happened to a show that was so good in previous seasons.
• 7:06
  First, there's a lot of discourse about how Stranger
• 7:08
  Things Co creator Ross Stuffer, he got divorced from his wife
• 7:12
  Lee and she in in 2024 and people think she really
• 7:17
  influenced the writing. So fans believe that Lee was
• 7:21
  incredibly influential in writing the first Four Seasons,
• 7:24
  especially the Byler storyline, and given they divorced before
• 7:27
  season 5, she was possibly not involved.
• 7:30
  Lee is the director of the Fear St. trilogy, which has been
• 7:34
  praised for its queer storytelling.
• 7:36
  Now I do want to know. She has no formal writing credit
• 7:38
  on Stranger Things. So this is very much a theory.
• 7:42
  And the second theory going around is there is this growing
• 7:46
  subset of fans who believe there will be an actual finale episode
• 7:50
  released on January 7th that will tie everything together and
• 7:54
  answer a lot of the unanswered questions.

  I think this seems like a reach of a theory, but so many fans

  refuse to believe that the ending could have contained like
• 8:05
  so many inconsistencies, like this many inconsistencies, that
• 8:09
  they have to believe that there's something else coming,

  which if nothing else is coming, I don't think anything else is
• 8:15
  coming. If nothing else is coming,

  that's a really bad sign. Like that's a really bad sign

  that your core demographic, like your core audience, your fans,
• 8:25
  the rider dies of this show for so long, are believing that
• 8:28
  there has to be something else because of how poor the ending
• 8:32
  was. There is a spin off confirmed.

  But yeah, like I said, I don't have an issue with it being a

  happy ending. I shed a tear or two in the
• 8:40
  finale episode. Like I think some of it was
• 8:42
  good, but I completely agree with the criticisms that there
• 8:46
  were so many inconsistencies, so many questions left unanswered
• 8:49
  and not in like a, oh this leaves the door open for future
• 8:52
  spin offs and things like that. Like just things like storylines
• 8:55
  and plot points that they just clearly abandoned.

  But they made us think that they were important in the series

  throughout several seasons. And then they were just like,

  never mind, we don't have time to address this or, I don't

  know, whatever. It was so, so bizarre.

  general, I still love this show. I still had a good time watching

  the season, but it was definitely disappointing.

  Because influencer Tara's World, she's facing backlash over a

  halter top that she wanted to wear New Year's Eve from a fan.

  So influencer Tara Lynn, AKA Tara's World, she posted a few

  days ago that she was looking for a very specific halter top

  for New Year's Eve and it was sold out everywhere.

  And she was wondering if any of her followers had the top that

  she could borrow. Now, her reasoning for coming to
