- 0:04Speaker 1: So before we got started today, Taylor told me we
- 0:06Speaker 1: had Christopher maddrog Whereusso said it.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Normally I would start there.
- 0:09Speaker 1: I'm a bit disappointed that I didn't start there, but
- 0:12Speaker 1: we're gonna get to it right now. So Taylor is
- 0:14Speaker 1: what is happening here with Christopher maddog Russo set this
- 0:17Speaker 1: sound up that the audience is going to hear.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Yeah, So we've hit a pretty dead time on the
- 0:20Speaker 3: sports calendar because mad Dog isn't somebody who's going to
- 0:23Speaker 3: spend a lot of time talking about the home run
- 0:25Speaker 3: Derby or the All Star Game. In fact, he actually
- 0:28Speaker 3: said on his show yesterday when talking about the home
- 0:30Speaker 3: run Derby, read a book instead. So what mad Dog
- 0:34Speaker 3: has resorted to is debating top ten presidents lists. And
- 0:41Speaker 3: then that's how we got this sound from mad Dog.
- 0:44Speaker 4: Oh wow, And I don't care what you say you
- 0:49Speaker 4: can put. We all know Washington and Lincoln, and you
- 0:52Speaker 4: know making Jefferson, and we know FDR. I mean, everybody
- 0:56Speaker 4: can give you the first seven of your Lissens Grant
- 1:00Speaker 4: can give you the first seven or eight.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Eisenhower's got to be on that list.
- 1:05Speaker 4: If anybody doesn't put Eisenhower, who made every decision and
- 1:11Speaker 4: had to deal with all that nonsense with both presidents
- 1:15Speaker 4: Roosevelt and Churchill, how to have British generals under him,
- 1:20Speaker 4: American generals under him, and how to make the call
- 1:23Speaker 4: when to go when not.
- 1:24Speaker 2: He then he's a president for years.
- 1:28Speaker 4: I don't care. You can play out. He's bigger than Reagan.
- 1:31Speaker 4: I know Reagan ended the Cold War, he won it,
- 1:33Speaker 4: bigger than Reagan. Eisenhower's in your top ten. I was
- 1:38Speaker 4: thinking about that a lot. There was and I read
- 1:41Speaker 4: the book. There is not a chance in the world.
- 1:45Speaker 4: You cannot put the man who was the supreme commander
- 1:50Speaker 4: of the Allied forces, who crashed Omaha and Utah Beach
- 1:55Speaker 4: to turn the tide of the world of the ward
- 1:57Speaker 4: or he turned, but who landed on the continent safely,
- 2:03Speaker 4: lost a lot of men, but landed and then nine
- 2:05Speaker 4: months later in Berlin. That's another thing people got to realize.
- 2:11Speaker 4: June sixth, nineteen forty four, the war is over the
- 2:14Speaker 4: following April. It's not three years later, it's eight months later.
- 2:20Speaker 4: There is no way under any and I am no historian,
- 2:25Speaker 4: but there is no way under that scenario you cannot
- 2:28Speaker 4: put Eisenhower in top ten in the history of Americas.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Americans. Yeah, that is so rich.
- 2:33Speaker 1: I mean, I am not a historian, but I'm going
- 2:35Speaker 1: to rank the top ten presidents of all time.
- 2:37Speaker 2: I mean not a historian.
- 2:39Speaker 5: Yes, they say it is more of a historian than
- 2:42Speaker 5: my American history teacher ever was he?
- 2:45Speaker 3: Mad Dog sells himself so short when he says he's
- 2:49Speaker 3: not a historian, because I would go to mad Dog
- 2:51Speaker 3: for all my history lessons where I love mad Dog
- 2:54Speaker 3: the sports commentator. He is to me the goat sports commentator,
- 2:59Speaker 3: but he is even better when he's talking about things
- 3:02Speaker 3: like history.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I would just have to trust him.
- 3:05Speaker 5: I just have to believe what he's saying right there,
- 3:07Speaker 5: because I don't know it to be true unless I'm
- 3:09Speaker 5: looking it up.
- 3:10Speaker 2: And he knows that, why would you fact check him?
- 3:12Speaker 6: Yes, imagine being in a room where mad Dog is
- 3:16Speaker 6: reading one of these books, because.
- 3:17Speaker 2: You know he's audible about it. Oh he did that?
- 3:21Speaker 2: Did that happen? What's the page that? Yep, yep, I
- 3:26Speaker 2: knew it. No, I love that. I love the part
- 3:29Speaker 2: where he says lost a lot of men, but he landed.
- 3:32Speaker 2: But it doesn't the job lost a lot of men.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Mikey, what you just said. I think there's a billion
- 3:41Speaker 3: dollar idea here that we could go back to mad
- 3:43Speaker 3: Dog Russo with. It's a book club with mad Dog Russo.
- 3:47Speaker 3: But you read, you read a chapter in a book,
- 3:50Speaker 3: and then you put your headphones in and you get
- 3:52Speaker 3: mad Dog's dissertation of the chapter that you just read,
- 3:56Speaker 3: Like I love buying books. Nobody buys more books than me,
- 4:01Speaker 3: while simul simultaneously not reading the set books, Like I'll
- 4:05Speaker 3: read a chapter into a book and then give up
- 4:07Speaker 3: on it, immediately go.
- 4:08Speaker 2: To bar the books behind you you've never been opened.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Yeah, no, no, And there's there's even more off to
- 4:12Speaker 3: the side. But if I knew what was waiting for
- 4:15Speaker 3: me at the end of every chapter was mad Dog's
- 4:18Speaker 3: thoughts on the chapter that I just read, I would rate.
- 4:21Speaker 2: But you can only get to it if you read
- 4:22Speaker 2: the chapter right.
- 4:24Speaker 5: Yes, it'll locks it for you, Taylor. I hate to
- 4:27Speaker 5: say this, You're a little late on this idea. Have
- 4:30Speaker 5: you seen what Larry David's doing on Hbox? Oh jeez,
- 4:33Speaker 5: it's basically history of the US, and it's just put
- 4:36Speaker 5: Larry David and it's just everything that's happened in the
- 4:38Speaker 5: US turns into an episode of Curb.
- 4:41Speaker 2: The first episode spoiler alert.
- 4:42Speaker 5: First episode goes to the Declaration of Independence, and they
- 4:45Speaker 5: have this one person who gave the first try the
- 4:48Speaker 5: first go with the declaration of Independence, and when they
- 4:50Speaker 5: agreed on twenty seven grievances, the Larry David character had
- 4:53Speaker 5: one hundred more grievances, like wanting to put a rule
- 4:56Speaker 5: that says you can't switch lines.
- 4:58Speaker 2: If you're in line, you got to stay in that line.
- 5:00Speaker 5: You can't just go one line to the other willy
- 5:02Speaker 5: nilly just because you think the other one's going faster.
- 5:04Speaker 5: Or you can't share an umbrella. You have to bring
- 5:07Speaker 5: your own umbrella. Nobody wants to share. It just becomes
- 5:09Speaker 5: a bunch of you know, Curb bits into an American
- 5:12Speaker 5: history thing.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Do we have mad Dog's entire top ten presidents of
- 5:15Speaker 2: all time? Like?
- 5:16Speaker 1: Why is he ranking presidents? And why is he doing
- 5:18Speaker 1: it the way we do sports teams? I mean, what
- 5:21Speaker 1: is happening here?
- 5:22Speaker 3: The easiest answer for why he's ranking presidents is July.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Oh, yes, of course, yes, s ps.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Right, but I don't believe. I don't believe we got
- 5:31Speaker 3: the full top ten list?
- 5:32Speaker 2: Right? Is he? Do you have a top ten presidents
- 5:35Speaker 2: of all time. No, I know number one to go there.
- 5:38Speaker 5: You know what, you know what, George Washington's got to
- 5:43Speaker 5: be top five.
- 5:44Speaker 2: That's about all I got just because he was first.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, you know, it's so funny. I've been
- 5:50Speaker 5: watching some like Netflix docs. I'm just you know, American
- 5:54Speaker 5: Revolutionary War history, and I just realized I know so
- 5:57Speaker 5: much more about other people's war and not our own
- 6:01Speaker 5: revolutionary war.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Like some of those battles. I was like, huh, who knew?
- 6:05Speaker 2: But apparently you know a lot of people did. Mad
- 6:07Speaker 2: Dog knew.
- 6:08Speaker 3: Definitely right, and Eisenhower is definitely in the top ten
- 6:11Speaker 3: after after hearing that argue.
- 6:13Speaker 2: But to play Devil's.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Sold on Eisenhower' is that what you're saying. You don't
- 6:18Speaker 1: need to hear anymore. You are sold just because mad
- 6:21Speaker 1: Dog says and give you a few things that he
- 6:23Speaker 1: did on the resume both a few days. You are
- 6:25Speaker 1: sold that Dwight Eisenhower is a top ten president of
- 6:28Speaker 1: all time.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:29Speaker 6: I promise you I will work into a conversation today
- 6:32Speaker 6: that I believe if Eisenhower is a top ten president
- 6:35Speaker 6: of all time to somebody who did not ask.
- 6:39Speaker 2: God the president from Esquire magazine.
- 6:41Speaker 3: If I could just play Devil's advocate against Eisenhower here
- 6:44Speaker 3: for a second, it sounded like a lot of the
- 6:46Speaker 3: things mad Dog was giving him credit for, which I'm
- 6:49Speaker 3: certain he deserves a lot of credit for, came from
- 6:52Speaker 3: his time as general and not from his time necessarily
- 6:55Speaker 3: as president, because mad Dog he's listing off accomplishment after
- 6:58Speaker 3: accomplishment and then he kind of just slides in and
- 7:01Speaker 3: then he was president for eight years forty years.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Yeah, right, yes, you would have him as a top
- 7:06Speaker 1: ten general of all time?
- 7:07Speaker 2: Is correct?
- 7:08Speaker 3: Correct?
- 7:09Speaker 2: Tonight?
- 7:10Speaker 3: You're kind of you're kind of blurring the lines between
- 7:12Speaker 3: general and president and when when one deserves credit for
- 7:15Speaker 3: the other, Like he probably doesn't become president if he
- 7:18Speaker 3: was such a if he wasn't such a great general.
- 7:20Speaker 2: You know, you guys want to know what this list is.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Do we have the fans already? Yes?
- 7:24Speaker 1: Oh wait, you have Christopher mad Doug Russo's top ten
- 7:27Speaker 1: presidents of all time.
- 7:28Speaker 5: I have Esquire magazines top ten president of all time,
- 7:31Speaker 5: and we'll see, we'll see if mad Dogs compares whenever
- 7:35Speaker 5: we get that list.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Okay, Number ten Chester Arthur.
- 7:40Speaker 6: Chester a Arthur twenty first president.
- 7:42Speaker 7: How do you know this now? Suddenly, Dog Russo, I
- 7:46Speaker 7: mean die Hard with a vengeance. Really the bomb was
- 7:49Speaker 7: in a Chester a Arthur elementary deserving of the top ten.
- 7:52Speaker 7: I mean, what do you think?
- 7:54Speaker 2: No, he's in the movie. Number nine. JFK. Staple, Number eight,
- 8:01Speaker 2: Harry Truman.
- 8:03Speaker 5: Really the got responsible for the Adam Bam huh uh?
- 8:07Speaker 5: Number seven Lyndon Johnson, number six, it's big for mad Doug.
- 8:12Speaker 2: He put Lindon Johnson ahead of JFK. Yes, he did.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Linden Johnson was only there because of what happened to JFK. Vietnam. Maybe. Uh.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Number five, TJ. Thomas Jefferson, TJ. Yes?
- 8:26Speaker 4: Who was six?
- 8:28Speaker 2: That was Dwight Eisenhower. Oh wow? The General?
- 8:31Speaker 5: Number four, Theodore Roosevelt.
- 8:35Speaker 2: The number three is a little bit of an upset.
- 8:38Speaker 5: Number three, George Washington, number two, Franklin Delano Roosevelt f
- 8:45Speaker 5: D R. And he guesses at number one, Oh, mikey,
- 8:49Speaker 5: give me a guess, mister historian Abraham.
- 8:53Speaker 2: There it is Abraham.
- 8:57Speaker 3: So it sounds like if the Mount rushmore expand, like
- 9:00Speaker 3: if you're if you're a president who's sitting there and
- 9:03Speaker 3: being like, man, I probably should have got on this
- 9:04Speaker 3: Mount Rushmore over? Whoever the fourth person was probably probably Teddy.
- 9:09Speaker 3: It's either FDR or Dwight.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Right, wait, who are the four on the Mount Rushmore?
- 9:16Speaker 3: It's George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Right now Trump wants to put himself there, just so
- 9:23Speaker 1: we're just so, what is that a weird Mount Rushmore
- 9:26Speaker 1: of President's.
- 9:32Speaker 2: I did have to think about it first. I could
- 9:34Speaker 2: be like, oh, wait, this is the actual one. This
- 9:36Speaker 2: isn't in a book, actual amount Rushmore? Yes?
- 9:43Speaker 4: Is he?
- 9:43Speaker 1: So what's going on here with Lebron? Are you concerned
- 9:46Speaker 1: at all? Because the last time we checked in with
- 9:49Speaker 1: you on this, Lebron still hasn't made a decision and
- 9:51Speaker 1: he won't until after the World Cup. But it was
- 9:55Speaker 1: down to three teams, you know, Rich Paul was using
- 9:58Speaker 1: the whiteboard and the on up starting teams and where
- 10:01Speaker 1: would Lebron go? And it came to it's down to
- 10:04Speaker 1: three teams, Philadelphia, the Miami Heat. He said he would
- 10:08Speaker 1: have played for the Knicks had the Knicks not one
- 10:11Speaker 1: an NBA championship a year ago, which there would be
- 10:13Speaker 1: no list if it was if the Knicks had and
- 10:15Speaker 1: one yes and.
- 10:16Speaker 2: The Cleveland Cavaliers.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Now it seems like Philadelphia in terms of their players
- 10:20Speaker 1: Teres Maxi a couple of players talking to Lebron, trying
- 10:24Speaker 1: to get with Lebron, trying to sell Lebron a coming
- 10:26Speaker 1: to Philadelphia. It seems like Philly really wants him the
- 10:29Speaker 1: most from a player standpoint, because I don't see guys, well,
- 10:32Speaker 1: at least it's not been reported yet that Giannis Bam,
- 10:35Speaker 1: guys in the Heat, the Stars on the Heat are
- 10:37Speaker 1: trying to recruit Lebron the way the Philadelphia seventy six
- 10:41Speaker 1: ers are trying to recruit Lebron James.
- 10:44Speaker 2: So it's interesting to me.
- 10:45Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean it's what's been reported. Who knows who's
- 10:47Speaker 5: it actually spoken. I find it difficult to believe that
- 10:51Speaker 5: anything the players say is going to be providing any
- 10:55Speaker 5: more insight for Lebron into you know, what he already knows,
- 10:59Speaker 5: like what's Tyree's MAXI gonna really tell him, Hey, Bron,
- 11:01Speaker 5: I'm good scoring ten points a game. No, I mean,
- 11:04Speaker 5: we all know that you put together a team like that,
- 11:07Speaker 5: it could with Jalen Brown and Lebron James to major
- 11:10Speaker 5: pieces that it's going to be it's going to take
- 11:13Speaker 5: time to put together, and it's going to have to
- 11:15Speaker 5: be just the right chemistry in order to win a
- 11:18Speaker 5: championship and that one year together. Lebron probably wants something
- 11:23Speaker 5: a little bit more familiar.
- 11:24Speaker 2: So it could be Cleveland, could be Miami, and even
- 11:27Speaker 2: you could say the.
- 11:27Speaker 5: Familiarity of playing with Steph Curry could be something that
- 11:32Speaker 5: is familiar to him as well.
- 11:33Speaker 2: But I just don't see it. With Philly.
- 11:35Speaker 5: It just seems to boom or bust, and the last
- 11:38Speaker 5: thing he wants is some circus in his potential last year.
- 11:43Speaker 3: At this point when it comes to Lebron James, you're
- 11:46Speaker 3: seeing reports that teams are having to send recruiting voice
- 11:50Speaker 3: notes to Rich Paul. It's like, have some pride guys
- 11:55Speaker 3: like where you're not just sending a voice memo to
- 11:58Speaker 3: Rich Paul trying to convince yourself to get Lebron James.
- 12:01Speaker 3: I'm at the point where I'm just rooting for mystery team.
- 12:04Speaker 3: I need a mystery team to come in here and
- 12:06Speaker 3: sweep up Lebron James. Whether it's the Denver Nuggets, the
- 12:10Speaker 3: Indiana Pacers, just something that can get me more excited
- 12:14Speaker 3: because I feel like We've been hearing about the combination
- 12:17Speaker 3: Heat Sixers Cavaliers for so long at this point where
- 12:21Speaker 3: none of those really moved the needle for me. So
- 12:23Speaker 3: I need something where it comes out of left field,
- 12:25Speaker 3: like the possibility of him teaming up with Jokic.
- 12:28Speaker 5: It's been a little bit of a roller coaster in
- 12:30Speaker 5: terms of like where people think he's leaning, because I
- 12:35Speaker 5: thought it was for sure once it became pretty clear.
- 12:38Speaker 5: You know, he's got the documentary going. It's it's very
- 12:41Speaker 5: narrative driven nuts and you know, once Rich Paul was
- 12:44Speaker 5: basically saying, oh, he's not ring chasing, it's not championship
- 12:47Speaker 5: or bust, it felt like, oh, that's automatic, it's Cleveland.
- 12:50Speaker 5: Like all this toying with these other teams. Maybe it's
- 12:52Speaker 5: just Cleveland trying to figure out a way to settle
- 12:54Speaker 5: their James Harden problem and then sign Lebron.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Maybe that's what the delay is.
- 12:58Speaker 5: But now you know, you hearing more and more and
- 13:01Speaker 5: it's just like, Okay, maybe he does want to quote
- 13:04Speaker 5: unquote do right by Miami, you know, because obviously left
- 13:08Speaker 5: in a time where they could have done more the
- 13:10Speaker 5: same way he did right by the Cleveland folks going
- 13:13Speaker 5: there and winning them a championship, and so I just
- 13:16Speaker 5: you just never know what he's actually thinking. Because I
- 13:18Speaker 5: didn't think he was going to go to Miami back
- 13:20Speaker 5: in twenty ten. It just didn't fit the puzzle, right
- 13:23Speaker 5: that the way you were drawing out his career. Well,
- 13:25Speaker 5: apparently he's telling us that whatever you had in mind
- 13:30Speaker 5: may not be what I have in mind or how
- 13:32Speaker 5: I want to end my career. So I feel like
- 13:34Speaker 5: it could be Cleveland, could be Miami, it could be
- 13:36Speaker 5: Golden State.
- 13:36Speaker 3: I just don't buy the Philly situation, the other situation
- 13:39Speaker 3: where I would want to see it, just because of
- 13:41Speaker 3: the chaos factor. If Lebron goes to Minnesota, is he
- 13:45Speaker 3: what would that look like? LaMelo Ball, Anthony Edwards, Lebron James.
- 13:51Speaker 1: It would be wild. It would be he would treat
- 13:54Speaker 1: LaMelo like Mario Chalmers. I mean, Jesus, it's tough.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Man.
- 13:58Speaker 5: I can't imagine him wanting to play there like it's one.
- 14:02Speaker 5: It's like, I don't know, it's like going to play
- 14:03Speaker 5: with two crazy net fews.
- 14:06Speaker 2: You know, You're just like, man, this isn't going to
- 14:08Speaker 2: be that.
- 14:08Speaker 1: I mean, is he You're talking about a guy in
- 14:09Speaker 1: his final year at the age of forty one forty
- 14:12Speaker 1: two playing for a league minimum.
- 14:13Speaker 2: He does not want to spend the season making that money.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Good amount of money, but by his standards, yeah, I'm sorry,
- 14:20Speaker 1: I'm not a.
- 14:20Speaker 5: Lot if he has to rely him Lamello Ball and
- 14:22Speaker 5: Rudy Goberer and live in Minnesota, right.
- 14:29Speaker 2: I forgot they actually do play there, don't they.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Yes, I mean he's fine with a couple of road
- 14:33Speaker 1: games a year, just spend it's you know, ten months.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Living in Minnesota is not something I could see him doing.
- 14:39Speaker 1: I can't see him doing it in Denver either. And
- 14:42Speaker 1: it's funny when I think of the three, you know,
- 14:44Speaker 1: I guess the three favorites to get him.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Like the one that kind of where.
- 14:47Speaker 1: A light goes off, where it's like wow, that would
- 14:50Speaker 1: be exciting, that would be cool. It's not Cleveland. I've
- 14:52Speaker 1: seen that already. I've seen it twice. It's not Miami.
- 14:55Speaker 1: He went there four NBA championships, they won two of them,
- 14:58Speaker 1: went to the finals four knsecut years, won two NBA titles,
- 15:02Speaker 1: And maybe he feels like he owes Miami something for
- 15:05Speaker 1: leaving them after getting on the stage beforehand and saying,
- 15:08Speaker 1: you know, seven eight nine. But Philadelphia kind of it
- 15:13Speaker 1: gets me excited. It does like that is the unknown
- 15:16Speaker 1: of it kind of gets me. Can he get him
- 15:19Speaker 1: beat over the hump? Can he win on a team
- 15:22Speaker 1: you know where Jalen Brown also wants to be the
- 15:24Speaker 1: number one Maxie. He gets to teach Edgecombe like, he
- 15:27Speaker 1: gets to do a lot of teaching there.
- 15:29Speaker 2: And that's some of the stuff that Lebron.
- 15:30Speaker 5: Likes, you know, and for one year, like if this
- 15:32Speaker 5: was the middle of his career and he's already won
- 15:34Speaker 5: four and it's just like, let me go see what
- 15:36Speaker 5: I can do around the league. But if it's the
- 15:38Speaker 5: final stop, I don't know if all those you know,
- 15:40Speaker 5: factors really are are positives when it comes.
- 15:42Speaker 1: To that, right, Yes, Well I also think they were unexpected.
- 15:45Speaker 1: I don't think he expect right, who expected Jaylen Brown
- 15:47Speaker 1: to get created to Philadelphia? And now that team it
- 15:51Speaker 1: has a decent shot if you had leb without Lebron,
- 15:53Speaker 1: that team is a decent shot to make it out
- 15:55Speaker 1: of the East.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Is that fair? Yes?
- 15:57Speaker 3: Right?
- 15:57Speaker 2: Everybody?
- 15:57Speaker 1: So, I think Lebron looks at that and says, wow,
- 15:59Speaker 1: I can help that's he can get out of the
- 16:00Speaker 1: East easily.
- 16:01Speaker 5: Yeah, I also think one factor we're not really considering.
- 16:04Speaker 5: You see how much he's playing golf. He wants to
- 16:06Speaker 5: play golf in the winter time. You can't do that
- 16:08Speaker 5: up there, You can't. You gotta put it down here.
- 16:10Speaker 5: I think Miami is the place to be. I already Look,
- 16:12Speaker 5: I'm still standing by this. If he wants to be
- 16:14Speaker 5: a good father, a better father than he already is,
- 16:17Speaker 5: Miami is the place to go that. Miami is the
- 16:19Speaker 5: place for Bronnie, both for the short term and the
- 16:21Speaker 5: long term.
- 16:22Speaker 2: So I still stand by that.
- 16:24Speaker 1: If he makes this decision based on where he can
- 16:27Speaker 1: play golf, I mean, that's why he's not Michael Jordan.
- 16:29Speaker 2: That's why he's closer to what are you talking about?
- 16:31Speaker 5: Max Jordan's played golf all the time, especially when he
- 16:34Speaker 5: came down to Miami.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Also, if you're the Lakers and you got locked into
- 16:40Speaker 3: guaranteeing Bronnie's contract for this season, if he signs with
- 16:44Speaker 3: Miami and then pat Riley comes to the Lakers and
- 16:48Speaker 3: tries to execute a trade for Bronnie James, if I'm
- 16:51Speaker 3: the Lakers, I'm saying, all right, give me six first
- 16:54Speaker 3: round picks for Bronnie if you really want to if
- 16:56Speaker 3: you really want to pair them together again. I'm not
- 16:58Speaker 3: letting you just jump through hoops again through I'm not
- 17:00Speaker 3: letting I'm gonna make you jump through hoops if you
- 17:02Speaker 3: want to get Bronnie James.
- 17:03Speaker 5: You think the Lakers, who basically just got away from
- 17:07Speaker 5: Lebron James says, no, thank you, we don't need you anymore,
- 17:10Speaker 5: are going to get hung up over Bronnie.
- 17:12Speaker 2: We'll be like, no, that's okay, We'll take a second
- 17:13Speaker 2: round pick for him. Go ahead, Like I just I just.
- 17:16Speaker 5: Don't think they're gonna be that petty like they want
- 17:18Speaker 5: to at least end the relationship in a way where
- 17:20Speaker 5: Lebron can say, yeah, we were good.
- 17:22Speaker 2: But if you do that to Bronni, then.
- 17:24Speaker 5: You're just you know, the two first round picks prior
- 17:26Speaker 5: to the relationship, just a couple first round picks back.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Hold a hostage right exactly? You got him by the nuts?
- 17:34Speaker 3: How bad do you want to play with your son again?
- 17:37Speaker 2: Mike Yay.
- 17:37Speaker 1: I feel like after Lebron decides on a team and
- 17:40Speaker 1: it's it's not Miami, let's say he goes to Philadelphia
- 17:43Speaker 1: and I asked, is he this question again? He's still
- 17:45Speaker 1: somehow gonna think that Miami's gonna get him.
- 17:48Speaker 5: Well, if he goes to Philadelphia, I still have the
- 17:50Speaker 5: same answer, But the question is going to be what
- 17:52Speaker 5: percentage chance do they have of winning a championship?
- 17:56Speaker 2: Right? So, where does he have the best chance of
- 17:58Speaker 2: winning a championship? Of the three two Philadelpia, I'm kidding yea,
- 18:01Speaker 2: I see it.
- 18:02Speaker 3: Oh, you're right.
- 18:04Speaker 5: In terms of just talent in a collection of talent,
- 18:07Speaker 5: it's Philadelphia. But the guy Joey Lembid will still be
- 18:11Speaker 5: the central figure on that team has not been out
- 18:13Speaker 5: of the second round.
- 18:14Speaker 2: I cannot say, as a forty.
- 18:16Speaker 5: What is it going to be forty two next January,
- 18:18Speaker 5: as a forty two year old, that I'm going to
- 18:20Speaker 5: be the reason that gets that guy over the top
- 18:22Speaker 5: past the second round. It's just too much to ask,
- 18:24Speaker 5: It's too much unknown, and there's too much injury history
- 18:26Speaker 5: there to rely.
- 18:27Speaker 3: On right now. On Fandel the Eastern Conference odds to
- 18:30Speaker 3: win the East, the Knicks are the favorites plus three hundred.
- 18:34Speaker 3: The Celtics are still somehow second plus four to eighty.
- 18:37Speaker 2: That's amazing.
- 18:39Speaker 3: The Raptors, Sixers, Calves, and Pistons are all plus seven
- 18:43Speaker 3: point fifty and then the Miami Heat or plus eleven hundred.
- 18:47Speaker 3: I could start talking myself into Toronto.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Well they don't even have kawai Ya could.
- 18:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I forgot about that part. Pablo kind of got
- 18:56Speaker 3: the Hekaui trade on pause.
- 19:00Speaker 5: I think people are disrespecting Detroit there. I think Detroit's
- 19:03Speaker 5: going to have another strong regular season.
- 19:05Speaker 2: And so what are the Pacers right now?
- 19:09Speaker 3: The Pacers are plus thirteen hundred right behind.
- 19:11Speaker 2: That's a sprinkle right there. Pacers play too fast for Lebron.
- 19:16Speaker 5: They play way too fast to have a forty one
- 19:18Speaker 5: to forty two year old on that team being a
- 19:20Speaker 5: huge Now, if you want to say we need him
- 19:23Speaker 5: for when things slow down in the playoffs, maybe, but
- 19:25Speaker 5: Patient didn't really slow down in the playoffs. They kept
- 19:27Speaker 5: playing the same way. That's how they got to the
- 19:29Speaker 5: finals a couple of years ago. So that's just it.
- 19:31Speaker 5: It's a great idea. I don't think I don't think
- 19:35Speaker 5: it's even close.
- 19:36Speaker 3: It seems convenient that all the teams you're hearing about
- 19:39Speaker 3: being in pursuit of Lebron and being high up on
- 19:41Speaker 3: Lebron's list, none of them are in the West. It
- 19:43Speaker 3: feels like everybody's looking at the Spurs and the Thunder
- 19:46Speaker 3: saying if Lebron's not going to join them, it's it's
- 19:49Speaker 3: a two horse race. Yes, it's two horse race in
- 19:52Speaker 3: the West to make it to the finals where it's
- 19:56Speaker 3: right now, the Spurs and the Thunder are CoFe to
- 20:00Speaker 3: win the West plus one. The next closest is Timberwolves
- 20:04Speaker 3: at plus eleven hundred.
- 20:05Speaker 5: That is the one decision that kind of scares me
- 20:07Speaker 5: in terms of, like, yeah, I could see a bunch
- 20:10Speaker 5: of justifications for doing that, and that's Golden State still
- 20:13Speaker 5: and that's you know, Steph has been largely quiet, but
- 20:17Speaker 5: he did mention you sort of the the appeal of
- 20:19Speaker 5: playing with Lebron. You saw that Draymond and Lebron were
- 20:23Speaker 5: golfing recently and there was a report somewhere. I feel
- 20:25Speaker 5: like there's so many flimsy reports out there, but there
- 20:28Speaker 5: was a report somewhere that said that he might be
- 20:30Speaker 5: leaning again toward Golden State. I'm just trying to figure
- 20:33Speaker 5: out what exactly could Draymond Green have said if he's
- 20:37Speaker 5: the one that convinced Lebron, like remember that time I
- 20:40Speaker 5: hit you in the nuts and I missed the game
- 20:41Speaker 5: in the finals.
- 20:42Speaker 2: You're welcome.
- 20:43Speaker 5: It's like, what is the what is the other than
- 20:46Speaker 5: playing with Steph? What is the appeal if.
- 20:48Speaker 2: I'm Draymond Green, Like, we're gonna have another guy.
- 20:51Speaker 5: You can't kick it out too because I can't shoot,
- 20:53Speaker 5: But damn it, I'll play some defense. Like I just
- 20:54Speaker 5: don't see what the pitch is from Draymond to Lebron.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Good golfing weather, I mean better in Miami, yep. And again,
- 21:04Speaker 2: well he'll never be Michael Jordan.
- 21:07Speaker 1: I'm facing that on a story and I'm not even
- 21:10Speaker 1: certain to happened.
- 21:11Speaker 2: I don't know if Draymond's had better golfing weather.
- 21:13Speaker 1: And I'm not certain Lebron's making this decision based on
- 21:16Speaker 1: the weather. I mean, although I chose Nuke Minnesota, I
- 21:22Speaker 1: don't have a shot of winning a title. Listen, he
- 21:24Speaker 1: isn't one to deal with child, you know, with a
- 21:26Speaker 1: child and LaMelo Ball. He wants adults, you know, like
- 21:30Speaker 1: Jaylen Brown Yeah, or James Hardy or Brownie
