- 0:43Speaker 6: I've only seen one episode of the Brady Bunch.
- 0:45Speaker 4: It's Joe Namath, right, Paul, he didn't like the route
- 0:48Speaker 4: that Bobby ran.
- 0:49Speaker 6: Glass eating right tackle a lot of glass eating the
- 0:52Speaker 6: last week's.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Nails.

- 1:11Speaker 1: All right, Welcome the Patriots Unfiltered.
- 1:14Speaker 9: Yes Thursday here at Jill's Stadium and the gang is
- 1:19Speaker 9: all here. It's Alex Alex it's Evan, it's Deuced, it's Paul,
- 1:22Speaker 9: it's me. It's Ace in the booth pushing the buttons
- 1:27Speaker 9: back there.
- 1:28Speaker 1: All right, So.
- 1:31Speaker 9: Thursday, the draft is behind us. Undrafted free agent. Have
- 1:36Speaker 9: we completed that process?
- 1:38Speaker 2: No, not officially announcement.
- 1:41Speaker 6: We're going through the film though, Fred, of the people
- 1:44Speaker 6: that have been reported, the any any gems that you've
- 1:47Speaker 6: come up with.
- 1:48Speaker 2: A GEMF who you got?
- 1:50Speaker 6: Uh? The Titan can block. I don't know if they
- 1:53Speaker 6: need another blocking tight end, but can he can? He
- 1:56Speaker 6: can really block? Like you know, he reminds me a
- 1:59Speaker 6: little bit is of is the who man? You know,
- 2:03Speaker 6: we're talking about a guy that for Illinois was like
- 2:06Speaker 6: basically an extra offensive lineman on the field. He's a
- 2:08Speaker 6: good blocker. The U A b R can play a
- 2:10Speaker 6: little bit, Morgan h John Darius. Yeah, he's a twitchy,
- 2:14Speaker 6: good athlete, can move a little bit. Everybody likes the
- 2:18Speaker 6: wide receiver Dorner though from North Texas, but some speed concerns.
- 2:24Speaker 6: They're like a four to six. But some guys that
- 2:27Speaker 6: I think that could, Fred, You'll like them that could
- 2:30Speaker 6: maybe you know, compete for a roster spot. Looking at
- 2:34Speaker 6: some of those positions, I think tight end is gonna
- 2:36Speaker 6: be tough.
- 2:36Speaker 9: You know, that's that's a deep position. There was a
- 2:39Speaker 9: stretch for the pages where like every year it seems like.
- 2:41Speaker 6: We're twenty one out of twenty two right now. Yeah,
- 2:44Speaker 6: twenty one of the last twenty two years. Yeah, okay,
- 2:47Speaker 6: so they've had a good run of it obviously. You know,
- 2:50Speaker 6: last year Elijah Ponder makes the team. So you know
- 2:53Speaker 6: they had one with Vrabel last year. So yeah, it happens.
- 2:57Speaker 1: There's a good ship.
- 2:57Speaker 5: Yeah, some pretty good What about John Darry though, could
- 3:00Speaker 5: he have the inside track? I mean we talked about
- 3:02Speaker 5: they need to guard. He sounds athletic.
- 3:03Speaker 6: Yeah, he's pretty athletic. I thought he was pretty twitchy
- 3:06Speaker 6: out of his stands. Could pass protect a little bit.
- 3:08Speaker 6: It's got a little bit of nasty, you know, likes
- 3:09Speaker 6: to finish, likes to put guys in the ground.
- 3:11Speaker 2: He eat the glass though a little bit of a
- 3:13Speaker 2: little bit.
- 3:14Speaker 6: I mean, I wouldn't say he's the strongest guy, but
- 3:17Speaker 6: he does like to go out there and and try
- 3:20Speaker 6: to assert his dominance on people. I watched him against Tennessee,
- 3:26Speaker 6: you know SEC team, and he held his own looked
- 3:28Speaker 6: pretty good. It's funny like when you watch guys like
- 3:31Speaker 6: that that are on these smaller schools and like it's
- 3:34Speaker 6: like four fifths of the offensive line loses their matchup,
- 3:36Speaker 6: but the one NFL players in the middle, like, you know,
- 3:39Speaker 6: winning his one on one. So uh, yeah, I think
- 3:42Speaker 6: he can play a little bit, you know, the other
- 3:43Speaker 6: guy Rizzy and maybe not so much a little clunky
- 3:46Speaker 6: for me, but I thought that the U and B
- 3:48Speaker 6: guard was pretty.
- 3:49Speaker 4: Good lit pitchy dog a little clunky for you.
- 3:52Speaker 6: Yeah, it just you know, little little heavy.
- 3:55Speaker 5: John Terry's got thirty five and three eighth in charms.
- 3:58Speaker 5: I know that's very important to all of us, of course,
- 4:00Speaker 5: so just you know.
- 4:01Speaker 6: Yeah, I got to watch the the Miami defensive tackles.
- 4:08Speaker 6: Next on my list, Blaze Fly say his name, I
- 4:11Speaker 6: think it's he was Actually he was actually in Edinburgh.
- 4:17Speaker 6: He was actually in the Today. He had a he
- 4:20Speaker 6: had a right up in the Beast, like a full
- 4:21Speaker 6: write up, which is usually the guy, you know, okay
- 4:24Speaker 6: that he's not the best of the guy could get drafted,
- 4:26Speaker 6: you know. So he was probably at least according to Dane,
- 4:31Speaker 6: he was probably the highest rated udf A that they
- 4:34Speaker 6: got out of the group. So uh and they got
- 4:36Speaker 6: this the receiver from Culver Stockton who I didn't even know.
- 4:43Speaker 7: Exist Dixon, but he's like, oh, that's not his name,
- 4:47Speaker 7: that's his school, that's his school, Culvert there.
- 4:50Speaker 6: Yeah, they play in the Heart of America Conference in
- 4:53Speaker 6: the n A.
- 4:54Speaker 1: I A.
- 4:55Speaker 10: Where is this school?
- 4:57Speaker 4: American?
- 4:58Speaker 10: Missouri actually some flyover state, no offense.
- 5:04Speaker 6: But he was is a ridiculously good athlete. Like he
- 5:08Speaker 6: actually went to Missouri's Pro day. Missouri invited him to
- 5:13Speaker 6: work out at the pro day, so he did the
- 5:15Speaker 6: pro day testing at Missouri. And he's a ridiculously good athlete.
- 5:20Speaker 6: But there's he has a three minute highlight reel on
- 5:24Speaker 6: his personal huddle account and that is the only film
- 5:27Speaker 6: that anybody has.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Wow, thanks for thanks to him.
- 5:30Speaker 4: And it's a high it's a highlight tape.
- 5:31Speaker 7: Him and TJ have the same highlights tape yea their
- 5:34Speaker 7: own personal huddle.
- 5:35Speaker 6: Yeah, it's a it's not it's not a full game,
- 5:38Speaker 6: it's just his highlights from the season. So I I
- 5:42Speaker 6: mean that's in Texas.
- 5:44Speaker 10: That put more into the.
- 5:46Speaker 9: N AI for those of you asking, Yes, Evan is
- 5:49Speaker 9: a little bit under the weather. That's why he sounds
- 5:51Speaker 9: the way he does. A couple of emails that came in.
- 5:54Speaker 9: Oh yeah, real people concerned. I thought maybe people were
- 5:57Speaker 9: wondering about.
- 5:57Speaker 10: The last week. And I've recovered before him.
- 6:03Speaker 2: We're just we're trying to say, Paul, you've been sick.
- 6:05Speaker 4: The whole week.
- 6:07Speaker 10: He sounded like this, since I was sick last beginning
- 6:10Speaker 10: of last week. Now, Fred got it.
- 6:14Speaker 6: I'll be back here if I was sick last week.
- 6:17Speaker 6: Thanks for all your concern. And then uh, and then
- 6:19Speaker 6: the draft happened, and I was getting over it, and
- 6:22Speaker 6: then the draft hit and then it went down all hour.
- 6:26Speaker 1: That first round pick just really made even more sick.
- 6:28Speaker 6: I actually know, I don't know. I think just talking
- 6:30Speaker 6: as much as we did for three straight days, it
- 6:33Speaker 6: came back and grinding tape of something called Culver Stockton
- 6:42Speaker 6: in the n I in A, I A.
- 6:44Speaker 2: It's a wonderful little art school and.
- 6:47Speaker 1: School.
- 6:48Speaker 9: All right, Well, we got so Usually by this time
- 6:52Speaker 9: draft picks have come in, but we have to wait
- 6:54Speaker 9: till May seventh.
- 6:55Speaker 4: That's when they're kind a little different.
- 6:56Speaker 2: I'm annoyed.
- 6:57Speaker 4: I agree, a little different.
- 6:58Speaker 2: I'm annoyed.
- 6:59Speaker 5: I planned my colonoscopy a couple of weeks after I
- 7:01Speaker 5: thought it would happen.
- 7:02Speaker 2: And then for.
- 7:03Speaker 6: Sharing, dudes like, I don't know, why do we just
- 7:05Speaker 6: openly share it?
- 7:06Speaker 5: Because I think the mental health is an important thing.
- 7:08Speaker 5: And if you are fifty years old.
- 7:10Speaker 4: You can go the more you know, Mike is having
- 7:12Speaker 4: a strong start to.
- 7:14Speaker 10: The shower is on the rise.
- 7:16Speaker 2: That's right to do it.
- 7:17Speaker 6: Just keep it to yourself.
- 7:19Speaker 2: I don't know one who has to go through it.
- 7:21Speaker 10: I mean, it's really on the rise for really young
- 7:23Speaker 10: people right now. It's pretty concerning.
- 7:25Speaker 7: Someone out there might be saying, I think I might
- 7:28Speaker 7: need a live but I don't want to do it.
- 7:31Speaker 7: Sounds like a lot, and you know, and then they
- 7:33Speaker 7: hear Mike the show say, you know, unabashedly, I'm getting
- 7:36Speaker 7: a call seven.
- 7:39Speaker 9: I know that it used to be like fifty was
- 7:41Speaker 9: that's when you started, But now I think they're moving
- 7:43Speaker 9: that up to forty.
- 7:45Speaker 10: It should be thirty.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Well yeah, part of it is they make more money.
- 7:48Speaker 7: It's generally forty, and then if you have any sort
- 7:52Speaker 7: of history in your family, they'll move it up.
- 7:54Speaker 6: Like but let me say, the rates of young people
- 7:56Speaker 6: are if you're if you're contemplating getting a colonosk, whether
- 8:00Speaker 6: for pleasure or for.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Uh, don't help.
- 8:04Speaker 9: I go ahead and do it because it's it's you know,
- 8:08Speaker 9: the prep.
- 8:09Speaker 1: The prep is a pain in the butt, but it
- 8:12Speaker 1: is a good purge.
- 8:13Speaker 6: Everybody needs a good purge every once in a while,
- 8:16Speaker 6: and he got me.
- 8:18Speaker 9: And it's one of the most relaxing sleeps that you'll have.
- 8:21Speaker 9: So go ahead and get your cooscopy.
- 8:25Speaker 7: Alex, you're young, and Alex, you don't know, like it
- 8:29Speaker 7: is the most relaxing sleep that you'll have.
- 8:32Speaker 4: It it's a great, great rest.
- 8:35Speaker 5: I think Fred teed it up because the next Tuesday show,
- 8:38Speaker 5: I'm going to be in the middle of that prep
- 8:40Speaker 5: because I have to go on.
- 8:41Speaker 2: A low residue diet. I think we've been talking about that,
- 8:44Speaker 2: so I'm probably gonna be a little hangry next night.
- 8:46Speaker 10: Resident, But what does that mean?
- 8:47Speaker 1: What does that mean? Low resident?
- 8:49Speaker 5: Like no nuts, like stuff that's gonna stick in your
- 8:51Speaker 5: intestines for a while, so they want to clean it.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Out completely at I guess that the juice that.
- 8:56Speaker 5: I get to drink on Wednesday night and Thursday morning
- 8:59Speaker 5: will be get the you know, finish the job.
- 9:01Speaker 2: But apparently on Saturday I gotta start.
- 9:03Speaker 1: So stuff that's hard to digest. They don't want you to.
- 9:05Speaker 5: Yeah, like grains, you know, it's a lot of like
- 9:08Speaker 5: white bread. I maybe I think I can eat eggs.
- 9:11Speaker 5: I think it's gonna be a lot of eggs, which
- 9:12Speaker 5: you know obviously is gonna probably not be great for
- 9:15Speaker 5: the flatulence.
- 9:15Speaker 6: But beans, what are clean out to get off?
- 9:21Speaker 11: Let me tell you, I if you were more concerned
- 9:24Speaker 11: about your health, you wouldn't still be sick.
- 9:25Speaker 9: I know evans for the for the surgery I had
- 9:28Speaker 9: last Friday, I had to go on a liquid diet
- 9:30Speaker 9: the day before, and all I really could eat was
- 9:33Speaker 9: like yellow and like chicken broth yea and soda brown.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 9:37Speaker 9: Five o'clock, six o'clock when I got home, I had
- 9:40Speaker 9: like a big mug of hot chicken broth. Let me
- 9:43Speaker 9: tell you something. Twenty minutes after that, I was cleaned out.
- 9:48Speaker 9: But it just sped me up.
- 9:50Speaker 11: In some cultures, like when I was in those steakhouses
- 9:54Speaker 11: and stuff, they serve you broth, like real homemade bone
- 9:58Speaker 11: broth as like the appetizer. It's like instead of a
- 10:01Speaker 11: bread bolt, you get broth. I was like addicted to it.
- 10:04Speaker 11: I was asking for so many cups. And it helps
- 10:06Speaker 11: you with digestion.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Yeah, sure does. I can tell your first hand.
- 10:11Speaker 2: I mean I teed it up. Fred ran with it.
- 10:12Speaker 2: That's all I'll say about that.
- 10:14Speaker 10: But all right, Fred Win directed can't run?
- 10:16Speaker 4: He did yourself, didn't.
- 10:20Speaker 6: Yeah, because we're big advocates of self health.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Take care of yourself. You get on that maintenance. It's
- 10:30Speaker 1: like rotating your tires. You gotta do what every true
- 10:33Speaker 1: you do.
- 10:34Speaker 6: Don't be like you need it.
- 10:36Speaker 5: You know, we're all the same tight with this, with
- 10:37Speaker 5: this seating set up. Because of Fred's I think we
- 10:40Speaker 5: finally found the magic. We look like we're all, yeah.
- 10:43Speaker 4: Concern you. Now you you have your foot down.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Well, I'm supposed to have it elevated.
- 10:48Speaker 4: I know, why are you not.
- 10:49Speaker 11: You're going to get you an automate right up here.
- 10:53Speaker 11: But if you were on this side, you could have
- 10:55Speaker 11: a little automa.
- 10:56Speaker 6: But they didn't like it. It looked awkward.
- 11:00Speaker 4: What's so important his health? Again?
- 11:02Speaker 7: He just he just advocates for self health. And now
- 11:05Speaker 7: he's just like, well, I'm.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Getting the cast off on Monday.
- 11:11Speaker 2: There we go.
- 11:13Speaker 4: So we get the draft in the rear view mirror.
- 11:15Speaker 7: As Fred started with, Evan gave you the whole rundown
- 11:18Speaker 7: of all the U d f as, which, by the way,
- 11:21Speaker 7: again we'll tell you we're not finalized, they're not official.
- 11:24Speaker 5: We have not tryouts to Paul and somebody may see
- 11:26Speaker 5: if a tryout.
- 11:30Speaker 7: I'm interested in Alex because when Alex dives into some
- 11:34Speaker 7: of the draft picks, sometimes we find out these random
- 11:37Speaker 7: things about these people.
- 11:39Speaker 4: And I didn't know.
- 11:40Speaker 7: I haven't talked to you about this yet because you
- 11:42Speaker 7: haven't been in the office, because I know we're doing
- 11:44Speaker 7: some other stuff outside of the building. So I was
- 11:46Speaker 7: wondering if you found out any uh, any nuggets off
- 11:49Speaker 7: the field about anybody.
- 11:51Speaker 11: Admittedly, I haven't been able to do the full deep
- 11:54Speaker 11: dive I usually do because of an undisclosed reason that
- 11:57Speaker 11: we've been out of the office the last two days.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Careful, care eventually careful.
- 12:04Speaker 10: I'm doing my draft profile on Namdy, so some coolme.
- 12:09Speaker 4: You're just gonna go with Namdy because you don't want
- 12:10Speaker 4: to pronounce the last.
- 12:14Speaker 6: With Obor.
- 12:15Speaker 4: According to the.
- 12:16Speaker 10: He's a twin.
- 12:18Speaker 11: His sister was a basketball player u n l V
- 12:22Speaker 11: Core siblings. Little brother like really athletic family. Little brother
- 12:25Speaker 11: plays Division one football as well, so trying to line
- 12:29Speaker 11: up interviews with those coaches. But that's like the most
- 12:32Speaker 11: I've been able to really get into with indsclosed.
- 12:36Speaker 7: I've I've been doing some work on Rareridan and Baron Morton,
- 12:42Speaker 7: and Raredan actually has a lot of His father played
- 12:45Speaker 7: at Notre Dame as well, played for Ty Willingham and
- 12:49Speaker 7: Charlie Weiss who was an offensive lineman.
- 12:52Speaker 4: His uncle played at.
- 12:53Speaker 7: Nebraska or his grandfather played at Nebraska. I think both
- 12:56Speaker 7: of them may have, you know. And he recently married.
- 13:00Speaker 7: So that's two out of the first three draft picks
- 13:02Speaker 7: are already married entering the NFL.
- 13:05Speaker 10: So I'm engaged already too. It's like last year's draft class.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Yeah, so that made me feel old like that he
- 13:11Speaker 2: blocked for Brady Quinn.
- 13:13Speaker 7: You know, well, he's you know, actually I was talking
- 13:17Speaker 7: talked to the offensive coordinator Notre Dame yesterday and he
- 13:21Speaker 7: that's what he said. He's like, you know, this is
- 13:23Speaker 7: my third stint at Notre Dame. He's, you know, one
- 13:25Speaker 7: of those career coaches with a million stops. And just
- 13:29Speaker 7: to show you how old I am, I actually coached
- 13:31Speaker 7: his father. And then you know, Eli shows up in
- 13:34Speaker 7: the you know for us a few years ago, and
- 13:37Speaker 7: I was like, wow, you know I coached that's all right.
- 13:40Speaker 4: So that's all right. Coaches my twenty eighth draft. I
- 13:43Speaker 4: can relate.
- 13:44Speaker 7: And I think you felt a kinship with me when
- 13:46Speaker 7: I said that. And that was after the Notre Dame.
- 13:48Speaker 7: Sid was really complimentary of my Boston accent. She really
- 13:52Speaker 7: enjoyed the Boston accent.
- 13:53Speaker 10: Yeah, I feel like you hardly have one.
- 13:57Speaker 4: I sound like I'm from Philly.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Philly.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:00Speaker 11: I love when people compliment you guys as accents and
- 14:02Speaker 11: it's like you barely have them.
- 14:05Speaker 4: You can tell I'm from Boston.
- 14:06Speaker 10: You lay it on when you need to.
- 14:08Speaker 7: No, No, Evidently, when I do that, I sound like
- 14:11Speaker 7: I'm from Philly. According to one of our listeners right
- 14:13Speaker 7: on the weekend, you don't know.
- 14:17Speaker 4: When I called vera Tuka vera taka, that was by
- 14:22Speaker 4: accident rareda. Every once in a while, the Boston accent definitely.
- 14:27Speaker 6: Escapes comes out for me. When you had a few drinks, Yeah,
- 14:32Speaker 6: me too, and then all of a sudden you started
- 14:34Speaker 6: getting Yeah, the ours just kind of go out the door.
- 14:39Speaker 9: It's funny if you go down the East Coast, starting
- 14:42Speaker 9: from Maine and really study accents, they kind of morph
- 14:47Speaker 9: into each other and they change as you get down
- 14:49Speaker 9: all the way to like Georgia, and then Florida is
- 14:52Speaker 9: nobody's from Florida, so then it stops there.
- 14:54Speaker 10: But that's fun, don't Boston?
- 14:58Speaker 1: Yeah, Rhode Island had a little bit of a New York.
- 15:00Speaker 10: Are you watching Rhode Island despert Housewives?
- 15:02Speaker 4: I am not. I don't douwives.
- 15:05Speaker 2: I went down and did a visit.
- 15:06Speaker 5: I visited Jared and Ashley's Coffee Cafe coffee shop, and
- 15:10Speaker 5: Jared was working in South County Commons. He was right
- 15:12Speaker 5: there grinding. I was going to throw a joke, thought
- 15:15Speaker 5: because he was actually Jared's literally working, He's working the register,
- 15:20Speaker 5: and you know, we got our order in and I
- 15:22Speaker 5: was so mad.
- 15:23Speaker 2: I didn't know I want it because my wife.
- 15:24Speaker 5: Was a little bit starstruck and seemed like a little
- 15:27Speaker 5: bit like, so what's like that?
- 15:28Speaker 2: You know?
- 15:28Speaker 5: I could tell and I didn't do it, but I
- 15:30Speaker 5: had too late. George costanz I was like, will you
- 15:32Speaker 5: accept this credit card? I thought that would have been great.
- 15:35Speaker 2: I really thought Jared would have responded to that joke.
- 15:36Speaker 5: But because I think he is a Patriots fan, I've
- 15:38Speaker 5: heard that he's listened to the show, but he didn't
- 15:40Speaker 5: seem to.
- 15:41Speaker 2: I saw no flame of recognition in his face when
- 15:43Speaker 2: we went in.
- 15:44Speaker 7: I should have walked in and no flame of record.
- 15:47Speaker 7: Obviously you obviously know whwaii. I know who you are.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Look at us, just two celebrities hanging out.
- 15:53Speaker 11: At your Celtics and the Red Sox have had the
- 15:57Speaker 11: real Housewives of Rhode Island at games. I think they
- 15:59Speaker 11: should be keepers of the light. This year, I saw
- 16:02Speaker 11: so mess It's amazing television.
- 16:03Speaker 1: When you gave me a credit card?
- 16:05Speaker 6: Can you read my name?
- 16:06Speaker 1: Is that that legible? You know nothing?
- 16:09Speaker 12: Right?
- 16:09Speaker 5: I was, well, I was in full like Patriots sweatshirt,
- 16:11Speaker 5: the Super Bowl hat. You know, It's just I was
- 16:13Speaker 5: really trying to make sure. Yeah, yeah, nothing, I was.
- 16:18Speaker 6: We were at dinner the other day, or it was
- 16:20Speaker 6: actually lunch, and I was getting up to leave with
- 16:24Speaker 6: Jess and we were walking out and one of the
- 16:26Speaker 6: managers of the restaurant comes up to me and goes,
- 16:27Speaker 6: what do you think about the draft?
- 16:29Speaker 7: Odn't jump leading. I'm not going to pretend I know
- 16:32Speaker 7: who you are. Just going to automatical leading, Yeah, question, Yeah,
- 16:35Speaker 7: you know I know who you are.
- 16:37Speaker 6: And this is a pretty busy establishment. So I was like, so,
- 16:40Speaker 6: next time we come and get me a table. Sorry autographs, Yeah, no,
- 16:47Speaker 6: I just want a table, you know, I want to
- 16:49Speaker 6: jump the line.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Hear this, jest you hear this? Yeah?
- 16:52Speaker 1: All right? So, uh the map there's that.
- 16:55Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, we're we're waiting here when we're working next
- 16:58Speaker 5: Saturday for the rookie.
- 17:00Speaker 2: And we'll see uh out brit to see some of
- 17:03Speaker 2: these you'll be living the life.
- 17:04Speaker 6: And that's how we discovered freaking chism, discovered.
- 17:10Speaker 13: That.
- 17:10Speaker 4: Now you guys wanted to go away because you signed and.
- 17:13Speaker 6: Discovered him was the first laid eyes on on land
- 17:17Speaker 6: Lairs and the Chisolm and everybody came out of that
- 17:20Speaker 6: being like, oh man, these two undrafted rookies.
- 17:23Speaker 7: Can I remember I remember you guys breathlessly talking about it,
- 17:26Speaker 7: and I didn't we laughing about it.
- 17:28Speaker 5: I thought it was the first time we saw that
- 17:29Speaker 5: Travon Henderson has a jet pack attached to him. Now
- 17:32Speaker 5: I feel like I remember seeing him run a little.
- 17:34Speaker 4: Bit, yeah, being like, yeah, funny how that works.
- 17:36Speaker 7: Like these big takeaways, the second round pick ended up
- 17:40Speaker 7: being legit.
- 17:42Speaker 4: And the other kind of what they.
- 17:44Speaker 5: Well, Campbell's you know, it's hard. It's hard to We
- 17:46Speaker 5: were we inside last Yeah, we were inside raining.
- 17:48Speaker 6: It was raining, and I remember we were standing on
- 17:52Speaker 6: side and they had a.
- 17:53Speaker 10: Food truck, so you guys are outside.
- 17:55Speaker 7: I was there for that because there was a kid
- 17:58Speaker 7: from that got to try out and was taking videos
- 18:01Speaker 7: of him to send to my nephew.
- 18:04Speaker 6: We were standing on the sideline and we had never
- 18:07Speaker 6: really I mean obviously Bill never invited us to rookie minicamp,
- 18:11Speaker 6: let alone, let us stand on the sideline for a practice.
- 18:14Speaker 6: And I remember Rabel, you know, ran by and he
- 18:17Speaker 6: just goes, get back, all you get back, and we
- 18:21Speaker 6: were like all too close to like this year. Yeah,
- 18:24Speaker 6: and he was like they're not gonna stand that close, Stacy,
- 18:27Speaker 6: get them back.
- 18:28Speaker 4: And we were like right here.
- 18:30Speaker 6: We were on top of the field, and uh yeah,
- 18:33Speaker 6: that will be what next Saturday?
- 18:35Speaker 2: Right, yeah, probably like.
- 18:36Speaker 6: You know noon, I would say.
- 18:38Speaker 2: We got a flag football game at eleven yep, not mine,
- 18:42Speaker 2: of course.
- 18:43Speaker 6: Jacob and Illinois writes and So I took several weeks
- 18:45Speaker 6: off from the podcast after the Super Bowl, call it
- 18:48Speaker 6: my time to grieve and reflect on.
- 18:49Speaker 1: The Cinderella season we had.
- 18:50Speaker 9: I recently called my grandmother as I was passing her
- 18:53Speaker 9: house in my semi and she told me she only
- 18:57Speaker 9: she was home to wave because Grandpa was out shot
- 19:00Speaker 9: up for a new speed Queen washer. I couldn't help
- 19:03Speaker 9: but laugh and say to myself, all right, fred, I
- 19:05Speaker 9: can take a hint.
- 19:06Speaker 1: I'll come back. So he's back.
- 19:09Speaker 10: From the universe.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm thinking about getting a new speed queen.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Really, really, why would you get.
- 19:16Speaker 9: Apparently they have a new one that the agitator goes
- 19:21Speaker 9: both ways instead of just one way, so it's a
- 19:25Speaker 9: little bit more gentle on clothes.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Put cardigans.
- 19:29Speaker 4: Yeah you're an agitator? Do you go both boys?
- 19:34Speaker 1: I'll go anyway anyway, facilitator.
- 19:36Speaker 6: The first twenty minutes show people they're gonna love this,
- 19:40Speaker 6: They're gonna absolutely hate it, and there's no empathies.
- 19:43Speaker 4: I don't have to pick up the pieces. I'm gone
- 19:45Speaker 4: the next week.
- 19:45Speaker 2: It's the off season.
- 19:46Speaker 5: It's like, I'm wondering about your boy Barth though, because
- 19:48Speaker 5: I saw like another appearance by him, and like on
- 19:51Speaker 5: Giarni's podcast, and I'm like, how many times can Alex
- 19:54Speaker 5: Barth break down the draft? Like, I mean, he's got it?
- 19:57Speaker 5: On ninety eight five, he's got it on a podcast.
- 19:59Speaker 5: He's with the CLNS guys, he's with g r D,
- 20:01Speaker 5: he's with you, like he is just everywhere on the
- 20:05Speaker 5: present and this is time.
- 20:07Speaker 6: This is just this is is time. Yeah, yeah, Alex.
- 20:10Speaker 6: So yesterday they do their the Crossover, which is the
- 20:15Speaker 6: all four of them together on the Clinics sign and
- 20:18Speaker 6: uh usually the one right after the one right after
- 20:21Speaker 6: the draft. I usually pop in for like ten or
- 20:23Speaker 6: fifteen minutes and you know, give my take on the draft.
- 20:26Speaker 6: So they wanted me to do that last night at
- 20:30Speaker 6: around six thirty. He texted me at six and says, hey,
- 20:34Speaker 6: we're doing the Crossover right now if you can jump on.
- 20:37Speaker 6: I was like, you gave me thirty minutes notice to
- 20:40Speaker 6: be able to do this, Like thanks, and then uh
- 20:44Speaker 6: so then I went on and I was busy.
- 20:46Speaker 4: He went on, he could, he couldn't do what he
- 20:47Speaker 4: was busy.
- 20:48Speaker 6: I was able to. He asked me to roast all
- 20:53Speaker 6: of their draft opinions.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Oh boy.
- 20:55Speaker 6: And I was like, okay, well that's a weird thing
- 20:58Speaker 6: to ask, but sure. And so then with him, I
- 21:01Speaker 6: was like, well, I've just heard you're you've repeated your
- 21:03Speaker 6: take on seventeen different shows.
- 21:05Speaker 4: So just you're just.
- 21:06Speaker 6: Going over and over again on this, like you know,
- 21:09Speaker 6: we already, we know your take.
- 21:11Speaker 2: We got it, you know, leave them on more, you know, Okay.
- 21:13Speaker 7: It's like six o'clock. They want him on at six thirty.
- 21:16Speaker 7: It's like I'm in the middle of Culver stocked in
- 21:18Speaker 7: or whatever.
- 21:19Speaker 2: I mean.
- 21:19Speaker 6: Like, if you want somebody to come on your show,
- 21:21Speaker 6: then you give them, like you ask them with a
- 21:23Speaker 6: little bit of notice, like especially if you have an assignment.
- 21:27Speaker 6: You know, we want you the show and we want
- 21:29Speaker 6: you to have a script. Now. Yeah, yeah, I was like,
- 21:31Speaker 6: on no offense. But I haven't really been paying attention
- 21:35Speaker 6: to you what I guys have been saying about the draft.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Of my six mark drafts? Did you like the most?
- 21:40Speaker 11: I got a lot of tweets about after the matchmaking
- 21:43Speaker 11: at the draft party about like why we can't do
- 21:45Speaker 11: this for Alex bart.
- 21:47Speaker 7: Oh unfortunately the Patriot sitting hold up there into the bargain.
- 21:52Speaker 10: Oh yeah, you never got them prostitute.
- 21:59Speaker 1: I tried.
- 21:59Speaker 9: I couldn't get one to you know, I said.
- 22:04Speaker 5: They said, no, Yeah, you can lead a horse to water,
- 22:06Speaker 5: but you can't make him drink, right, all right?
- 22:09Speaker 1: Poor bar Anyways, he's married to football.
- 22:12Speaker 5: Hey, he's gonna do a side show here. He's gonna
- 22:14Speaker 5: have to take some some slings and arrows.
- 22:16Speaker 2: That's how it works.
- 22:19Speaker 9: Let's see if it's Devin in Toronto wants to talk
- 22:22Speaker 9: about football.
- 22:23Speaker 6: Oh sorry, could you he didn't say that.
- 22:25Speaker 9: I'm just could you outline the key differences between key
- 22:28Speaker 9: On White and Gabe Acus. We've had this question before.
- 22:32Speaker 9: I was still am disappointed with the White trade. I
- 22:36Speaker 9: thought we could have used him in a rotational role
- 22:38Speaker 9: for us like he does now in San Francisco. Wondering
- 22:42Speaker 9: why he wasn't a fit and why Gabe Acus is
- 22:45Speaker 9: seen as a perfect fit. Is it attitude, an effort
- 22:48Speaker 9: or more of an ability issue white with White struggling
- 22:51Speaker 9: to line up on the edge.
- 22:53Speaker 6: Can I just first, I mean they're twenty like Acus
- 22:56Speaker 6: is twenty pounds later?
- 22:58Speaker 2: What rolled you?
- 22:59Speaker 5: Was key On White playing that you think translates back
- 23:02Speaker 5: to New England? You know that's that I would answer
- 23:05Speaker 5: your question with a question, But I mean there's I think.
- 23:07Speaker 4: Has the answer.
- 23:08Speaker 6: I don't think they're similar as players at all.
- 23:11Speaker 7: Well, the twenty pounds to me made White a tweener. Yeah,
- 23:15Speaker 7: I think Actus is an edge guy. Yeah, and you know,
- 23:20Speaker 7: he's even dropped in coverage, he's done something. You know,
- 23:22Speaker 7: I don't think Keon White ever really had that in
- 23:25Speaker 7: his game, you know, in his college career at either
- 23:27Speaker 7: one of his stops.
- 23:29Speaker 4: I understand.
- 23:29Speaker 7: I mean, they're both second round picks, they're both sort of,
- 23:32Speaker 7: you know, quasi passer.
- 23:34Speaker 4: I think I think White.
- 23:35Speaker 7: Had like eight saxes senior year at Georgia Tech. Not
- 23:38Speaker 7: like he was without talent coming out of the league,
- 23:41Speaker 7: coming out out of college, but I do think that
- 23:44Speaker 7: that added bulk didn't allow him to properly play on
- 23:48Speaker 7: the edge. You know, I don't think he was quite
- 23:49Speaker 7: athletic enough to play in the edge, and one wasn't
- 23:52Speaker 7: quite physical enough to play inside.
- 23:53Speaker 6: Yeah, I just I think their body types are totally different.
- 23:56Speaker 7: Yeah, but he definitely, Like I think they're looking at
- 23:58Speaker 7: the physicality of both guy saying that the similarities, But
- 24:02Speaker 7: I mean, I definitely think it's more just more outside.
- 24:05Speaker 9: In terms of Acus being the perfect fit, I haven't
- 24:08Speaker 9: heard anyone say that other than that he could be
- 24:09Speaker 9: a good replacement for Chase On.
- 24:11Speaker 1: But like, I don't know if he's going to be
- 24:14Speaker 1: a perfect fit.
- 24:14Speaker 6: Well, I think the perfect fit is relative to his
- 24:18Speaker 6: like play style and his attitude and like a perfect
- 24:20Speaker 6: raybu that type of.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Type of thing.
- 24:22Speaker 6: Yeah, but oh yeah, I mean Oucus is six four
- 24:25Speaker 6: two sixty. Ke On was over to eighty. He was
- 24:29Speaker 6: a hand in the dirt defensive end. Akus is in
- 24:31Speaker 6: outside the tackle, stand up edge rusher. I I just
- 24:35Speaker 6: don't really see the similarities in terms of the player.
- 24:38Speaker 4: I agree, I agree, I don't. I don't either.
- 24:40Speaker 5: I mean it's interesting if you go on mock draftable,
- 24:42Speaker 5: they have a really good comparison tool, and they don't.
- 24:45Speaker 2: They don't. I mean, looks like gave Acus much more explosive.
- 24:50Speaker 2: I mean he didn't.
- 24:50Speaker 5: He didn't really run, So it's not well like they
- 24:53Speaker 5: played different positions. Yeah, Like you know, Keon White's.
- 24:56Speaker 7: The way evn't just described it. Keon White was more
- 24:59Speaker 7: of a hands in the ground defensive lineman. And I
- 25:02Speaker 7: think Akis can be a stand up edge guy, can be.
- 25:05Speaker 7: Now maybe he'll have his hand in the ground too,
- 25:07Speaker 7: I don't know, but I think he can play standing
- 25:09Speaker 7: up all that.
- 25:10Speaker 6: I mean that's what his position is.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:12Speaker 6: Yeah, Kean White, I think his best ability was rushing
- 25:16Speaker 6: over the guard, But I don't think he could do
- 25:19Speaker 6: that all the time because he couldn't stop the run
- 25:21Speaker 6: from over the guard. So like he was like a
- 25:24Speaker 6: true third down.
- 25:26Speaker 9: From the time he was drafted, it was how are
- 25:28Speaker 9: they going to use him? Because he's kind of.
- 25:31Speaker 4: Twitter. I know it's a cliche, but I think it
- 25:33Speaker 4: was true.
- 25:35Speaker 6: I mean, he had his flashes. You know, we all
- 25:37Speaker 6: had high hopes for him.
- 25:38Speaker 9: But you know, Tim says, Fred, for the love of God,
- 25:43Speaker 9: send Evan home.
- 25:44Speaker 6: But before you do, ask him, if the A. J.
- 25:46Speaker 9: Brown thing falls through, should the Patriots re signed Diggs?
- 25:49Speaker 6: So you want me to answer your question, but you're
- 25:51Speaker 6: gonna make fun of me at this.
- 25:52Speaker 4: Before he's looking he's looking off.
- 25:55Speaker 12: For it.
- 25:57Speaker 6: Sounds worse than it is Diggs.
- 26:02Speaker 4: I I don't know.
- 26:03Speaker 6: I mean, in theory, it could work, you know. I
- 26:06Speaker 6: just I think that they pivoted to Romeo Dobbs and
- 26:09Speaker 6: they're they're kind of yeah, on to the next thing.
- 26:12Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, we're forgetting about him Dobbs that they signed him, you.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Know, hope not. It's a big piece. Yeah, I mean,
- 26:20Speaker 2: I I don't know.
- 26:20Speaker 5: I feel earlier now season I could have seen it
- 26:23Speaker 5: maybe happening, But I feel like I'm more and more
- 26:25Speaker 5: out on that.
- 26:26Speaker 2: It feels like we've kind of moved on from that.
- 26:27Speaker 5: And that's not just on the field, but I think
- 26:29Speaker 5: off the field too, that they're going a little bit
- 26:31Speaker 5: of a different direction. But it's I mean, it's an
- 26:33Speaker 5: interesting guy that's out there and some team's going to
- 26:36Speaker 5: sign him at some point, and I think that team
- 26:39Speaker 5: will feel pretty good about, you know, bringing in a
- 26:40Speaker 5: you know, a thousand yard receiver. You know, we see
- 26:43Speaker 5: slowing down a little bit, but I think he can
- 26:45Speaker 5: still contribute to it.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Why do you think he has a side with anyone yet?
- 26:48Speaker 5: Probably waiting to see how the draft played out. I
- 26:49Speaker 5: mean I would think maybe in the next you know,
- 26:51Speaker 5: a couple of weeks maybe.
- 26:52Speaker 7: I mean you're think Fred he probably hasn't gotten the
- 26:54Speaker 7: money he's he's looking for. But I never say never
- 26:57Speaker 7: with the Patriots because there's too many times that's something
- 27:00Speaker 7: happens that I just thought was kind of stunning. Yeah, yeah,
- 27:03Speaker 7: but I just don't see this. I agree with everything
- 27:05Speaker 7: you guys said. I don't see this coming together. I
- 27:07Speaker 7: mean I say that too with after watch. I'm really
- 27:09Speaker 7: not interested in it coming together either.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Now I need to move on.
- 27:12Speaker 5: I not really either, but you know, just it was
- 27:14Speaker 5: striking to me in that last episode of Fortune Foxborough,
- 27:17Speaker 5: just you know how much Diggs really was part of
- 27:20Speaker 5: the fabric of the personality of that twenty twenty five
- 27:22Speaker 5: Patriots team. And they're gonna have to, you know, figure
- 27:24Speaker 5: part of that out, and other guys are gonna have
- 27:27Speaker 5: to emerge with that kind of vocal role. I mean,
- 27:29Speaker 5: it's real primarily about what's on the field, but he was,
- 27:31Speaker 5: you know, pretty productive.
- 27:33Speaker 2: You just those big games.
- 27:34Speaker 5: You're gonna need guys to step up in some of
- 27:36Speaker 5: those big games during the middle of the season that
- 27:38Speaker 5: Diggs helped you win.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Justin Brooklyn.
- 27:40Speaker 9: Throughout the spring, Evan said that with it being a
- 27:43Speaker 9: bit of a down year in terms of talent, this
- 27:46Speaker 9: was a get on base type of draft instead of
- 27:49Speaker 9: a swing for the fence's draft. Do you all think
- 27:51Speaker 9: we got on base with our selections? Also, which second
- 27:54Speaker 9: and third year players should be nervous based on the picks?
- 27:58Speaker 9: Wallace and Bryant must be high in the list. Oh
- 28:03Speaker 9: that's just uh did we get on base with our picks?
- 28:06Speaker 6: Yeah? I think that's a good question. I Actually, besides Akis,
- 28:10Speaker 6: I kind of think they went in the other direction
- 28:12Speaker 6: like I think a Loomu and Rear did and have
- 28:13Speaker 6: a ton of upside potential picks, yeah, but aren't necessarily guaranteed.
- 28:18Speaker 6: Hits Acus I think is a get on base kind
- 28:21Speaker 6: of pick. I think he's a guy that everybody expects
- 28:24Speaker 6: to be an NFL player for.
- 28:25Speaker 4: A while and contribute immediately. Yeah.
- 28:27Speaker 6: The other two I think are over they went more
- 28:30Speaker 6: with with raw talent and athleticism and upside. So it's interesting.
- 28:33Speaker 5: I only see the wide receiver position if they get
- 28:35Speaker 5: AJ Brown as it's going to probably bump somebody off
- 28:39Speaker 5: that was part of.
- 28:39Speaker 2: The team last year.
- 28:40Speaker 5: But otherwise I don't really see many guys coming in.
- 28:43Speaker 5: It was we talked about one for one replacements pretty
- 28:46Speaker 5: much across the board for the guys that departed and
- 28:49Speaker 5: the guys that they brought in.
- 28:50Speaker 2: But if they bring a J.
- 28:51Speaker 7: Brown in, yeah, the offensive line is always going to
- 28:54Speaker 7: have some fluctuation with spots like seven eight nine.
- 28:58Speaker 4: You know, like Marcus Bryant was one of them last year.
- 29:00Speaker 7: Maybe crown Over is better than him, maybe Scott or
- 29:04Speaker 7: maybe you know, James Hudson shows in training camp that
- 29:08Speaker 7: the veteran is you know, the veteran ability and experience
- 29:11Speaker 7: is worth more than those young guys. But they'll all
- 29:14Speaker 7: have a chance. You know, there's you're never going to
- 29:17Speaker 7: go one year to the next with the same like
- 29:19Speaker 7: nine offensive linemen. Those always rotate.
- 29:22Speaker 9: Yeah, let's see Jean Luke from Tennessee originally Rhode Island.
- 29:29Speaker 9: When I moved to Tennessee during the twenty eighteen season
- 29:33Speaker 9: and got to witness the short rise of the Titans
- 29:35Speaker 9: with Rabel, Bayed and Brown part of the sets, I
- 29:38Speaker 9: thought it would be great to have them as part
- 29:41Speaker 9: of the team. Maybe sooner than this, but still grateful.
- 29:45Speaker 9: Was rumors that Rabel could be replaced with Mike Tomlin.
- 29:49Speaker 4: Please, oh please, there the Daily Mail.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what's.
- 29:54Speaker 6: The daily Don't don't listen to that. Don't listen to
- 29:57Speaker 6: the tabloid.
- 30:00Speaker 9: On a lighter note, Duce, could you possibly see some
- 30:03Speaker 9: more uniform combinations for this upcoming season? For example, white
- 30:07Speaker 9: pants with blue jerseys, blue socks, and the all white
- 30:11Speaker 9: uniform with the all white uniforms with the all white uniform.
- 30:16Speaker 1: I like that.
- 30:17Speaker 5: All I can say is I'm gonna continue to be
- 30:19Speaker 5: a passionate supporter of bringing back a somewhat modernized version
- 30:24Speaker 5: of the uniforms that they want six Super Bowls in.
- 30:27Speaker 5: I would like to see that. That's that will always
- 30:29Speaker 5: be a passion of mine. I think when you see
- 30:31Speaker 5: those uniforms on the League, you say, oh, crap, here
- 30:35Speaker 5: come those Patriots, And I love that uniform that.
- 30:38Speaker 4: All dream follow my dream.
- 30:40Speaker 2: I'm gonna do it.
- 30:40Speaker 9: I'll just never stop being amazed. Is how grown men
- 30:43Speaker 9: can be so obsessed about uniform about fashion.
- 30:46Speaker 2: A lot of people love fashion. Fred all ages.
- 30:48Speaker 1: You consider uniforms fashion sports fashion, I don't. I don't either.
- 30:53Speaker 1: Their uniform Yeah, you know that.
- 30:57Speaker 6: Is to stand out. Uniform is uniform.
- 31:00Speaker 4: But fashion can argue with that logic.
- 31:03Speaker 5: But fashion also like gives a feeling to the person
- 31:05Speaker 5: who's observing the fashion. And I want to have uniforms
- 31:08Speaker 5: that remind people of the great, unprecedented success that this
- 31:12Speaker 5: franchise had rather than Yeah, we're still kind of in
- 31:15Speaker 5: the color scheme of it. But something looks a little
- 31:18Speaker 5: off and the stripes don't quite match up, and like,
- 31:20Speaker 5: at the very least, I'd like everything to look uniform.
- 31:23Speaker 5: The stripes match it all looks like we didn't. Frankenstein
- 31:26Speaker 5: a bunch of uniforms and they would do this with
- 31:28Speaker 5: that and this with.
- 31:29Speaker 6: That, Like let's have that's a valid point.
- 31:31Speaker 4: Really strong stars of the show, they really drop.
- 31:35Speaker 6: The uniforms now are disjoint. They don't know what they
- 31:38Speaker 6: want to I like the all white ones because they
- 31:40Speaker 6: like a show that don't know what they want to be. They.
- 31:43Speaker 6: I know, I don't really care as much as as
- 31:45Speaker 6: deuceize about this, but I would. I agree with his
- 31:49Speaker 6: point that it that they need to be cleaner, they
- 31:51Speaker 6: need to.
- 31:52Speaker 7: Be Yeah, I look at a uniform and I'm like, oh,
- 31:54Speaker 7: I like that, or I don't like that, but I
- 31:57Speaker 7: I kind of share Fred's mentality that Deuce is not alone.
- 32:02Speaker 4: This is a lot of people like the obsession over uniforms.
- 32:05Speaker 2: I didn't say I'm obsessed.
- 32:06Speaker 4: I would say you're obsessed. Well that's a helmet.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Based about it. Yeah, that's true, that's true.
- 32:11Speaker 6: You know.
- 32:12Speaker 5: No, I used to put a lot more into the
- 32:14Speaker 5: the face mask, like the old face mask. Like now
- 32:16Speaker 5: it's all kind of uniform, everybody kind of by the
- 32:18Speaker 5: same thing, but like you know that old like Willie
- 32:21Speaker 5: McGuinness helmet he used to wear.
- 32:24Speaker 4: The fact that you know, this is just classic.
- 32:29Speaker 5: Cornerback ty Law Brady, you know what I mean, like
- 32:32Speaker 5: tip it tipp it like those.
- 32:33Speaker 7: But the fact that you don't have to look at
- 32:35Speaker 7: pictures and you just say, like William McGinnis is like
- 32:38Speaker 7: the fact that you know that is I could also.
- 32:40Speaker 5: Tell you like the Rabel, like the different iterations that
- 32:43Speaker 5: Rabel went through while he was like he had the
- 32:44Speaker 5: long one, then he had the short one. Like I
- 32:46Speaker 5: used to be more obsessed with the face mask, but
- 32:47Speaker 5: now they're all kind of the same.
- 32:49Speaker 6: He had the weird like blocky face mask for a
- 32:51Speaker 6: while that like now now that would be considered like
- 32:54Speaker 6: dowee be, you know.
- 32:55Speaker 5: Like that would be no Willia McGuinness, ty Law, like
- 32:59Speaker 5: those are I mean? And l is just the quintessential
- 33:01Speaker 5: quarterback look with that helmet.
- 33:03Speaker 2: You know you have to.
- 33:07Speaker 6: Hello everyone, Hello Marie.
- 33:09Speaker 9: As a younger than deuce On that has had several
- 33:11Speaker 9: colonoscopies due to digestive health conditions, I can attest to
- 33:16Speaker 9: the fact that it is not the best sleep I've
- 33:18Speaker 9: ever had.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Oh sorry, maybe.
- 33:22Speaker 6: Maybe in maybe they do it differently.
- 33:25Speaker 2: The metric system. Yeah, it's a little different.
- 33:29Speaker 9: You know, we give your bangers a mash instead of anstesia.
- 33:35Speaker 9: Good luck with the drink prep Deuce. All I'll say
- 33:38Speaker 9: is wet wipes the endage maybe, as they say, and fire,
- 33:43Speaker 9: But in all seriousness, I hope the procedure goes well.
- 33:46Speaker 9: And good on you for shining a light on health
- 33:48Speaker 9: checks being important, especially as a man.
- 33:51Speaker 2: All Right, good job, good job, I appreciate it.
- 33:55Speaker 1: Yep, thank you for your service.
- 33:57Speaker 14: MA.
- 34:00Speaker 5: Look forward to telling you all about it next a
- 34:02Speaker 5: week from twosdon I'm okay skip.
- 34:05Speaker 2: That one out. Yeah, hang onto this cold for a
- 34:07Speaker 2: little while.
- 34:08Speaker 9: Jacket and Abba says, I had my colonoscope when I
- 34:11Speaker 9: was fifty. When they wheeled me into the operating theater,
- 34:15Speaker 9: there was a small army of doctors and nurses fussing around.
- 34:18Speaker 9: The gastroentrologist on my right was playing music. I asked
- 34:22Speaker 9: him whether he preferred Roy Buchanan or Buddy Guy. He
- 34:25Speaker 9: said Buddy Guy and immediately switched the music to Buddy Guy.
- 34:28Speaker 9: I looked to my left at the anesthesiologist, who was
- 34:31Speaker 9: a young woman sitting among what looked like a tangle
- 34:34Speaker 9: of bags and tubes. I said, what looks like industrial grade.
- 34:37Speaker 9: That looks like industrial grade, and narcotics She nodded Riley
- 34:42Speaker 9: and then with Buddy Guy's blues wailing gently in the background, I.
- 34:46Speaker 4: Was out like a light wailing.
- 34:48Speaker 1: So I was like, hey, I wrote that.
- 34:51Speaker 4: I was waiting for someone to have like a cigarette.
- 34:53Speaker 4: Oh yeah, waiting to go under.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Everyone's got a story.
- 35:00Speaker 2: I'm okay, that's off season talk.
- 35:02Speaker 5: Baby, even you're gonna have to confront this not too
- 35:04Speaker 5: distant future thinking about it.
- 35:09Speaker 6: I don't need to talk about it publicly.
- 35:12Speaker 10: All the Jersey, all the Jersey mikes, you eat all
- 35:14Speaker 10: those nitrades.
- 35:15Speaker 5: Yeah, haven't you already like resigned yourself though you're not making.
- 35:19Speaker 6: It like in all those I mean like, yeah, they's
- 35:25Speaker 6: not you know when you get your turkey sandwich every day.
- 35:28Speaker 4: Yeah, you really cracked that one.
- 35:34Speaker 2: So the oil, the red wine vinegar, you know they
- 35:36Speaker 2: got like the bottles and shaken.
- 35:38Speaker 6: I'm not.
- 35:41Speaker 4: We've lost alex.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Under the Italian season.
- 35:45Speaker 6: It is so funny to speaking of Italian balls going
- 35:48Speaker 6: to Italy.
- 35:49Speaker 1: Yeah, he's going.
- 35:51Speaker 6: To Florence and Rome to the other country.
- 35:53Speaker 7: That's so fun tours I'm not going on.
- 35:58Speaker 10: Are you gonna go see where your ancestors lived?
- 36:00Speaker 4: I am not.
- 36:00Speaker 7: Do you know they're from Avellino, but we're not going
- 36:04Speaker 7: to be in that part of the country.
- 36:06Speaker 6: I feel like that's it is it is.
- 36:08Speaker 7: I didn't make that up. I went home and asked,
- 36:10Speaker 7: after we've had this conversation.
- 36:12Speaker 6: Wait, wait, wait, you're from Avellino, which is where the Okay,
- 36:18Speaker 6: so we know now it's good.
- 36:20Speaker 7: Okay again, it's just okay to make fun of Italians,
- 36:25Speaker 7: call them, call them all criminals.
- 36:27Speaker 6: I ain't call you.
- 36:28Speaker 4: A criminal in them a little bit.
- 36:31Speaker 2: It's just a little bit. It's a little bit.
- 36:35Speaker 9: Go home, let's see ja Darius right s first time email,
- 36:43Speaker 9: a long time listener.
- 36:44Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 36:46Speaker 4: One of the guys you just talked about, is this him?
- 36:49Speaker 6: I was wondering, as of right now, which players would
- 36:51Speaker 6: you predict will be the kickoff returners once the season begins.
- 36:56Speaker 6: He's got some glasses.
- 37:01Speaker 5: They couldn't be a guard named John Darius whoever is
- 37:04Speaker 5: the third running back?
- 37:05Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 37:05Speaker 6: And one of the sixth receiver whichever?
- 37:10Speaker 2: Could that be a Lan Larison versus Jam Miller?
- 37:12Speaker 4: So I.
- 37:14Speaker 6: Versus Miles Miles Montgomery.
- 37:17Speaker 7: I did an interview with Mobile Alabama this morning, nice
- 37:20Speaker 7: and the last subject that we brought up was jam
- 37:23Speaker 7: Miller and I said there was definitely an opportunity because
- 37:27Speaker 7: they're going to need a third running back, and in particular,
- 37:29Speaker 7: if he has kick returned skills, they didn't think that
- 37:33Speaker 7: would be a great fit. Now, these are random guys,
- 37:36Speaker 7: and I don't know if he did not return what
- 37:38Speaker 7: they bonafides are.
- 37:39Speaker 6: Yeah, he did not return.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Talking about jam Miller, I thought jam Miller was my guy.
- 37:46Speaker 4: No, no, no.
- 37:46Speaker 7: I was doing an interview with a radio station in
- 37:49Speaker 7: Alabama and they brought up jam Miller as an Alabama
- 37:53Speaker 7: guy the Patriots drafted.
- 37:55Speaker 2: I was getting worried there for a second.
- 37:56Speaker 7: Now I don't do more than I need to do before.
- 38:02Speaker 9: Dustin Wrights in super pumped for mini camps to start,
- 38:05Speaker 9: means we're getting closer. The only pick in the draft
- 38:08Speaker 9: I had questions about was the jam Miller pick. Why
- 38:11Speaker 9: on earth when would we waste a pick when we
- 38:13Speaker 9: have the there's something RB three Land Larison ready to
- 38:20Speaker 9: bounce back. I also really liked the Raritan pick for
- 38:23Speaker 9: tight end because let's be real, when has Notre Dame
- 38:26Speaker 9: really ever produced a bad tight end? And finally, Fred,
- 38:29Speaker 9: I'm with you. I share my wings with my dog
- 38:32Speaker 9: all the time. She's a tank. Honestly, just past week
- 38:35Speaker 9: we shared an Italian beef. The only they only live
- 38:38Speaker 9: a fraction of our lives, so why not let them
- 38:40Speaker 9: enjoy real food because that fraction becomes smaller.
- 38:44Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, A good for the most part. Yeah yeah,
- 38:51Speaker 6: I at least the guy's making it to the NFL
- 38:53Speaker 6: for sure, Jam Miller, I think we all kind of
- 38:58Speaker 6: projected that they would be Kane the tires on a
- 39:00Speaker 6: running back late in the draft. You know, the third
- 39:03Speaker 6: running back spot. As much as I love Land Merrison
- 39:06Speaker 6: is not solidified by any means behind Stevenson and Henderson.
- 39:10Speaker 6: So I think a lot of the prognosticators, as they say,
- 39:14Speaker 6: had sixth round, seventh round running back flyers and to
- 39:18Speaker 6: add to the pot there to compete for the third
- 39:21Speaker 6: running back spot. So I wasn't noting that nowadays to
- 39:24Speaker 6: get good value in running back later in the draft
- 39:26Speaker 6: because nobody takes them high. Well, it's also it was
- 39:29Speaker 6: a bad running back draft besides the tude Notre Dame kid.
- 39:33Speaker 6: So but yeah, I think that a lot of us
- 39:36Speaker 6: had talked a lot about Adam Randall in the pre
- 39:38Speaker 6: draft process. He went a little earlier, so they ended
- 39:41Speaker 6: up with Jam Miller.
- 39:43Speaker 9: And Paul was wondering which Brady Bunch episode had the
- 39:45Speaker 9: quicksand it was the Tiger Tiger episode.
- 39:50Speaker 6: It was season one, episode eighteen.
- 39:53Speaker 9: The Brady's go on a camping trip and while there
- 39:55Speaker 9: they encounter a situation involving quicksand the episode is part
- 39:59Speaker 9: of the series that aired from sixty nine to seventy four,
- 40:02Speaker 9: and it features various family related challenges that that's wikipedia.
- 40:06Speaker 1: Yeah, but it was season one episode eighteen.
- 40:08Speaker 4: All right.
- 40:09Speaker 7: I don't necessarily recall. I do remember when they went
- 40:12Speaker 7: camping because all the boys were really upset that the
- 40:17Speaker 7: girls had to come, and Mike made a big thing
- 40:19Speaker 7: out of it, say like, you know, would do things
- 40:21Speaker 7: as a family now, and they tried to scare you know.
- 40:24Speaker 7: They were really annoyed. So the Marsha and Jan went
- 40:27Speaker 7: out and had the bear that they cut out and
- 40:29Speaker 7: they put the flashlight oh okay now on the outside
- 40:31Speaker 7: of the tent, and Bobby wakes up. He's like dad
- 40:34Speaker 7: a bear and they thought they would be and then
- 40:36Speaker 7: it's like all the tents collapsed.
- 40:38Speaker 2: And every chaos and suits those Bradies there.
- 40:40Speaker 7: Hi, I don't recall, however, I could tell you all
- 40:43Speaker 7: the all the dialogue, but I don't call them.
- 40:47Speaker 1: Did they jumped the shark when Oliver was Yeah?
- 40:49Speaker 7: Oh man, that was maybe the original jumping of the
- 40:53Speaker 7: shark was cousin Oliver.
- 40:55Speaker 1: No, the original was Fonzie.
- 40:57Speaker 4: This case, this happened first. Yeah, okay, therefore the original.
- 41:01Speaker 1: No, but the term jumping the shot came from Happy.
- 41:04Speaker 4: I know, but this may be the original.
- 41:06Speaker 1: You think that, Yeah, yeah, there might have been.
- 41:08Speaker 7: Other I'm sure they were. Someone said, like father knows
- 41:11Speaker 7: Best had one, but I didn't.
- 41:12Speaker 9: I think too, because there was like four iterations of
- 41:17Speaker 9: the Lucy show.
- 41:18Speaker 1: I think at one point they jumped.
- 41:20Speaker 7: The but the Brady bunch early, the very early ones
- 41:23Speaker 7: were not as strong once they got once, once Marsha
- 41:27Speaker 7: got a little older, they were much.
- 41:32Speaker 6: Because she's hot.
- 41:33Speaker 10: Oh sure, jam I missed TV land.
- 41:38Speaker 7: Marsha Brady for like It's my agent was the smoke.
- 41:44Speaker 7: She was a dime throwing high heat.
- 41:45Speaker 1: I do you like rockets? I don't think kids today.
- 41:48Speaker 4: I think like miss rock missile. She's a missile.
- 41:54Speaker 10: That's a new one I had. I don't know that.
- 41:55Speaker 9: I think in terms of like family shows, like g
- 41:58Speaker 9: rated trime toime shows.
- 42:01Speaker 1: I don't think his today had what we have the
- 42:03Speaker 1: modern family that's not rated.
- 42:12Speaker 6: Evan's right, like two and a half man half over
- 42:17Speaker 6: the time.
- 42:21Speaker 2: Rocks talk about it. I love that.
- 42:24Speaker 6: That's a huge that's her.
- 42:26Speaker 10: Daughter is like her clone. It's crazy full.
- 42:29Speaker 6: How is a good one?
- 42:30Speaker 4: The one that got paid for?
- 42:32Speaker 2: That was like a Friday meets World.
- 42:33Speaker 4: Yeah, it's World to Panga.
- 42:37Speaker 9: But there's very few shows now that like even the
- 42:39Speaker 9: shows that were aimed for adults back then, what's the
- 42:41Speaker 9: one with Steve?
- 42:42Speaker 7: Like everyone seems he says, I love Bad Day and
- 42:48Speaker 7: Age were very.
- 42:49Speaker 6: Coolsh Prince, nobody wanted to.
- 42:51Speaker 4: Brady Bunch was a good show for the time.
- 42:54Speaker 6: Everybody wants to push the envelope.
- 42:56Speaker 9: Now they don't think it's good content unless you're pushing
- 42:58Speaker 9: the back then it was as vanilla as possible.
- 43:02Speaker 5: Well too, interest think back then you had TV, everyone
- 43:05Speaker 5: will gather and watch TV together.
- 43:06Speaker 2: Did family still really do that?
- 43:08Speaker 4: Right?
- 43:08Speaker 5: Like the family still get together to watch a TV
- 43:10Speaker 5: show anymore? And I mean even no one something like
- 43:15Speaker 5: a centerpiece of the you know every I mean, I
- 43:18Speaker 5: don't know about you guys, but like I think I'm
- 43:20Speaker 5: starting to lose my mind there are times when you
- 43:22Speaker 5: just look around and you're like, we're all just sitting
- 43:24Speaker 5: here scrolling and the TV's on, no one's watching the TV,
- 43:26Speaker 5: and we're all just in our own little worlds, and
- 43:28Speaker 5: I just like I have to like put it down
- 43:30Speaker 5: and walk away. It's like starting to get on my nerves,
- 43:31Speaker 5: like not not saying anything about like just generally like
- 43:34Speaker 5: I'm like, what are we doing right here? Like we're
- 43:36Speaker 5: all in our own little world. But if by the
- 43:38Speaker 5: same thing, if we're all sitting here reading books and
- 43:39Speaker 5: it was eighteen hundreds, would that be as bad?
- 43:41Speaker 2: I don't know, Like that's where I ponder.
- 43:43Speaker 6: These that would be okay, right, that would be okay,
- 43:46Speaker 6: you're melding your brain cells just deep.
- 43:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I hear what he's saying.
- 43:51Speaker 6: We but like for us, that's sports. Yeah, you know,
- 43:55Speaker 6: if like the Bruins or the Celtics are on, there's
- 43:58Speaker 6: like we're not in our own world where glued into
- 44:01Speaker 6: the game. But if we're watching like.
- 44:03Speaker 7: The Bruins, you're on, I am, the Celtics, you're on.
- 44:05Speaker 7: You to wait for the last five minutes with everybody
- 44:06Speaker 7: else I'm watching.
- 44:07Speaker 6: Like my wife. Yeah, No, I mean like but if
- 44:11Speaker 6: I watch, if we're watching uh you know some you know,
- 44:15Speaker 6: below deck or whatever stupid show we're watching, then yeah,
- 44:18Speaker 6: we're both scrolling. But like I feel like that's why
- 44:21Speaker 6: I like, you know, sports so much, is because it's
- 44:23Speaker 6: still is something that like unifies people, you.
- 44:27Speaker 4: Know, I mean my ultimate reality TV.
- 44:28Speaker 2: Yeah, my my family, we don't watch sports together. You know,
- 44:31Speaker 2: like they're not interested.
- 44:32Speaker 4: You don't allow that, well I would allow it. You
- 44:35Speaker 4: don't allow anybody.
- 44:36Speaker 10: To watch any show. You guys watch together.
- 44:38Speaker 5: I mean my wife and I and sometimes we'll have
- 44:40Speaker 5: to convince everybody to like watch a movie and be like,
- 44:42Speaker 5: all right, we're watching a movie tonight, you know, but
- 44:44Speaker 5: I don't.
- 44:44Speaker 2: It's very rare.
- 44:44Speaker 7: I don't have a lot of My wife and I
- 44:46Speaker 7: watch a lot of TV together, but the kids have.
- 44:48Speaker 7: Even when they were younger, they didn't watch a lot
- 44:50Speaker 7: of TV. I mean, somebody brought up like full House.
- 44:52Speaker 5: I forget what they called it on the station, but
- 44:54Speaker 5: there was a lineup on I think it was Family
- 44:56Speaker 5: Matters full House, so there was a name for it.
- 44:58Speaker 5: But I remember like the t G if maybe that
- 45:01Speaker 5: was what it was. I forget maybe, but family, but
- 45:04Speaker 5: I remember like my sisters watching I would watch Full
- 45:07Speaker 5: House and we'd all kind of watch that stuff, you know.
- 45:10Speaker 7: Yeah, but that doesn't exist the wholesome Friday night shows.
- 45:13Speaker 2: Yeah, like.
- 45:16Speaker 7: What was the Melissa, Joe and Hart there, which I
- 45:21Speaker 7: think was part of that. Maybe Oracle might have been
- 45:23Speaker 7: part of that. Yeah, family matters, Family matters.
- 45:26Speaker 11: On my dad's day, we would always watch like the
- 45:29Speaker 11: eight o'clock Disney Channel original movie, like my siblings and
- 45:33Speaker 11: my dad. Yeah, could Kelly Brink like all those that's
- 45:35Speaker 11: the last time I can really reach.
- 45:38Speaker 7: Yeah, we finally found something other than sports that Evan
- 45:42Speaker 7: was familiar with.
- 45:44Speaker 4: Original Movie.
- 45:46Speaker 6: I think back in that day, there was, oh, people
- 45:48Speaker 6: are spending too much time watching TV.
- 45:50Speaker 2: You know.
- 45:51Speaker 1: It's people are spending too much time on their phones.
- 45:53Speaker 5: I know, and it's that's why I guess I was pondering,
- 45:56Speaker 5: is like, is there a difference? I mean I did
- 45:57Speaker 5: see like a recent scientist studies saying that the short
- 46:00Speaker 5: form video just destroys your ability to pay attention to anything.
- 46:03Speaker 6: I think it does. I think it does. You're run
- 46:06Speaker 6: to the next thing really quickly.
- 46:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:07Speaker 6: Yeah, there's no absorption, there's no focus.
- 46:13Speaker 10: I do find that your brain activity too.
- 46:16Speaker 11: I saw a study where they whatever they do to
- 46:19Speaker 11: measure brain activity, But when you're just scrolling like that,
- 46:21Speaker 11: your brain activity is the same as if you're just sleeping.
- 46:24Speaker 10: What short form video that's good?
- 46:26Speaker 4: Rights?
- 46:28Speaker 2: And then how are those short in the show?
- 46:31Speaker 4: Brain activity is the same as just sleeping.
- 46:33Speaker 6: That's what I'm trying to do, though, I'm trying to relax,
- 46:35Speaker 6: like I'm trying to disconnect it, like, no, that's fair.
- 46:38Speaker 6: That's why I somehow, I don't know.
- 46:40Speaker 5: That's I don't want to say like this is the devil,
- 46:43Speaker 5: because I feel like TV was the devil and video
- 46:45Speaker 5: games were the devil.
- 46:46Speaker 2: And you know, it.
- 46:47Speaker 7: Does seem I mean, I know that we're old, Fred
- 46:50Speaker 7: and I you know, and it just seems this is
- 46:53Speaker 7: worse for you. It probably isn't, but it does seem
- 46:56Speaker 7: like the social media stuff and all the documentaries that
- 46:59Speaker 7: you watch, it seems like this is more destructive, yeah,
- 47:02Speaker 7: than it was. But they thought the same thing about
- 47:05Speaker 7: the TV.
- 47:05Speaker 9: I think there's a lot of countries in the world
- 47:07Speaker 9: would love to see the demise of our country, and
- 47:09Speaker 9: they're hoping that that.
- 47:11Speaker 4: This is what's going to cause it.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Yeah, and they might be right.
- 47:13Speaker 10: In China their TikTok algorithm for kids.
- 47:16Speaker 11: It's like science experiments and intellectual it's trash, that's right.
- 47:21Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's right. Makes you think I like YouTube.
- 47:25Speaker 9: I'm kind of like a little addicted on YouTube, you know,
- 47:29Speaker 9: watching like kinds of different stuff.
- 47:31Speaker 5: I like that, you know though, because I feel like
- 47:32Speaker 5: YouTube you're like searching out videos and kind of like learning.
- 47:35Speaker 9: There was this podcast and I started watching it, and
- 47:39Speaker 9: so I'm watching it on YouTube and on the podcast
- 47:41Speaker 9: it's like, you know, downline, download this app called Riverside
- 47:45Speaker 9: if you really want to get involved in the show.
- 47:47Speaker 1: And I thought, oh, that might be a great experience.
- 47:49Speaker 9: So I download the app and I click in and
- 47:53Speaker 9: all of a sudden, like I'm on the show and
- 47:56Speaker 9: here I am in bed line with like I'm like,
- 47:59Speaker 9: oh crack, Like I'm hitting like no camera, no camera.
- 48:03Speaker 4: It's like you hit on these horn.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Like I'm on the show.
- 48:10Speaker 6: And they're like, okay, friend, friend, you're with us, and
- 48:13Speaker 6: I'm like I'm not saying anything.
- 48:16Speaker 1: He's like, Frank, come on, he didn't give you a warning.
- 48:18Speaker 10: No, that was.
- 48:20Speaker 9: Like all right, get you get yourself together and you
- 48:22Speaker 9: can come back.
- 48:23Speaker 1: Like meanwhile, I'm like I didn't want to be there with.
- 48:25Speaker 4: The first I don't want to be on the show.
- 48:27Speaker 1: Oh that's so funny. Oh I'm literally.
- 48:32Speaker 10: That's hilarious. But you're watching a podcast on YouTube.
- 48:35Speaker 11: I feel like the Pendum's kind of swinging the other
- 48:37Speaker 11: way where people are like craving more long form content.
- 48:40Speaker 1: Again, I don't know mad for us. Yep, that's true.
- 48:44Speaker 11: Like you like just looking at like the YouTube numbers
- 48:47Speaker 11: of how many people set up YouTube to their TVs
- 48:49Speaker 11: and stuff that you're not watching.
- 48:51Speaker 9: Them, Like fortune fot for over fifty percent of the
- 48:53Speaker 9: people will watch on YouTube watched on their TV.
- 48:57Speaker 5: You know what I'm obsessed with on YouTube that I've
- 48:58Speaker 5: been getting better, like these like AI things of you know,
- 49:02Speaker 5: they would show like ancient Rome from scratch or Las
- 49:04Speaker 5: Vegas from scratch and they just kind of a time
- 49:06Speaker 5: lapse of like a desert and then you slowly see
- 49:09Speaker 5: how it all came together. I like that kind of
- 49:11Speaker 5: stuff on YouTube. Like I don't know that it feels
- 49:14Speaker 5: a little different to me, Like YouTube doesn't quite feel
- 49:17Speaker 5: as like that's tiktoki Instagram, you know, reels all that stuff.
- 49:21Speaker 1: No YouTube can be. It's a really good tool like
- 49:24Speaker 1: so much there too. I was downstairs.
- 49:26Speaker 9: I had to restart my furnace and the manual wasn't
- 49:29Speaker 9: helped me. Go on YouTube restart boom, well McClain ulter
- 49:32Speaker 9: boom yep, like first thing that comes up to awesome
- 49:35Speaker 9: little video two minutes yep.
- 49:38Speaker 10: Chef the chefs I follow on YouTube.
- 49:40Speaker 11: I feel like I've become such a great cook just
- 49:44Speaker 11: watching and learning from them too.
- 49:47Speaker 5: You got your knives, you got like sharp knives like
- 49:49Speaker 5: those Japanese ones.
- 49:51Speaker 9: Oh, and then then you start getting the ads for knives.
- 49:54Speaker 11: Yeah, and then they're plugging like X clad pans crazy.
- 49:58Speaker 2: That drives me like you can't even like be like wait,
- 50:01Speaker 2: what is that real?
- 50:01Speaker 4: Quick?
- 50:01Speaker 2: And then you're getting fed that forever buy one.
- 50:03Speaker 10: There's some chefs that I'm like, you know what good
- 50:05Speaker 10: for you?
- 50:06Speaker 6: Get your bag?
- 50:06Speaker 10: Like you've taught me enough. I'll sit through this.
- 50:09Speaker 2: Ad any of that.
- 50:13Speaker 6: Chris with a T.

- 50:17Speaker 1: was the worst.

- 50:21Speaker 9: in nineteen ninety eight.
- 50:22Speaker 1: It's an all timer.
- 50:24Speaker 5: I enjoyed the Brady Bunch movie too. When that came
- 50:26Speaker 5: out as a kid who has watched a lot of
- 50:28Speaker 5: Brady Bunch. When that movie came on, I thought they
- 50:30Speaker 5: really did a good job of staying true to the series,
- 50:32Speaker 5: but make fun of it.
- 50:34Speaker 4: Was Yes, it was a spoof and it was kind
- 50:36Speaker 4: of funny.
- 50:38Speaker 2: They're set in modern day America.
- 50:40Speaker 4: Cup, Oh no, what did you say?
- 50:45Speaker 2: I don't know that.
- 50:46Speaker 10: Evan just noticed my Cup.

- 51:19Speaker 9: his wife had died, and it's him bringing up his
- 51:22Speaker 9: three sons and Uncle Joli, Uncle Charlie. Right, so it's
- 51:26Speaker 9: falling boys and stage right.
- 51:28Speaker 1: Yeahretty much. Everything my father knows best I've heard.

- 53:15Speaker 1: Who played the incredible Hulk Bill Bixby?
- 53:18Speaker 4: Was they.
- 53:22Speaker 1: Uh in Adam's Family?

- 53:51Speaker 7: I can't remember now, Oh I think so. I think
- 53:54Speaker 7: I did, but now I can't.
- 53:55Speaker 10: Remember that show.
- 53:57Speaker 2: And I remember watching.
- 53:59Speaker 4: From watching it, but I don't know if we saw
- 54:01Speaker 4: the most recent one. That's the only difference.
- 54:03Speaker 11: That show and Paradise are like the first two shows
- 54:05Speaker 11: I've really gotten into in a long time.
- 54:08Speaker 4: Paradise the second season I.
- 54:09Speaker 10: Haven't started yet. I finished season one.
- 54:12Speaker 4: Start, but it gets better.
- 54:13Speaker 1: Last Paradise reality show?
- 54:15Speaker 4: No, okay, no, you real Paradise is a fred k sho.
- 54:21Speaker 2: You like it?
- 54:22Speaker 10: It's excellent?
- 54:22Speaker 4: Okay, you would really like.
- 54:24Speaker 11: It's post apocalyptic meets like government corruption, conspiracy.
- 54:31Speaker 10: It's really good.
- 54:33Speaker 6: For you, the missus.
- 54:35Speaker 7: It's it's post apocalyptic but not sci fi. It makes
- 54:40Speaker 7: it seem a little different. I mean, it's an accurate description,
- 54:43Speaker 7: but it's not. It's like, it's not traditional. Yeah, it's
- 54:50Speaker 7: like Haymarket on Saturday.
- 54:52Speaker 6: Past five hundred is the hotline cards meets like, so,
- 54:58Speaker 6: I know, let's a line to Mike claims he's Saba's husband.
- 55:04Speaker 6: Let's go, guy, So your Saba's husband.
- 55:08Speaker 15: I am, I'm Bo's husband. I'm I guess drank me
- 55:13Speaker 15: is probably a bigger reason, but I'm one of the
- 55:15Speaker 15: reasons he got turned on your show. And she's a
- 55:16Speaker 15: big becoming a big fan of the Patriots.
- 55:18Speaker 1: Nice are you a Patriots fan?
- 55:21Speaker 7: Oh?
- 55:21Speaker 15: Yeah, I grew up in Massachusetts. Actually I'm actually a
- 55:24Speaker 15: general surgeon. I trained at you mass what's okay?
- 55:27Speaker 9: A right, yeah, all right, sounds what are you surgery? General?
- 55:33Speaker 2: Surgery?
- 55:34Speaker 1: General?
- 55:34Speaker 2: Okay?
- 55:37Speaker 15: You guys were talking about colonoscopies.
- 55:40Speaker 1: Yeah, huh.
- 55:43Speaker 15: Some of the saddest cases I had. I don't want
- 55:44Speaker 15: to kind of drive the show down for people that
- 55:47Speaker 15: did not get their knoscopies at fifty Oh, I had
- 55:49Speaker 15: a couple of patients, like in their fifties, low fifties,
- 55:52Speaker 15: fifty two, fifty three.
- 55:53Speaker 6: Yeah, your elbows there cancer and they.
- 55:56Speaker 15: Just if they had just got into Colnoxpy's at fifty,
- 55:59Speaker 15: they'd be still today.
- 56:00Speaker 6: So yeah, Scar, Yeah that's scary. So what do you
- 56:05Speaker 6: hear that? I'm only thirty three?
- 56:07Speaker 15: Sure though, come to the Patriots. My big become a
- 56:11Speaker 15: Patriots band moment. But Drew Bledsoe seventy passes Minnesota Vikings.
- 56:18Speaker 15: I sat in Awe watching that game. I'm sure Paul can.
- 56:21Speaker 2: Kind of relate to that.
- 56:22Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I was at that game.
- 56:25Speaker 16: You were at that game?
- 56:26Speaker 1: Wow, I was in the press.
- 56:28Speaker 15: I was sitting in my kitchen my parents house, obviously,
- 56:32Speaker 15: I was kind of young at that time, and just
- 56:34Speaker 15: watching that game and being like, this is awesome. This
- 56:36Speaker 15: guy is awesome. I am going to watch every game I.
- 56:38Speaker 6: Can watch it.
- 56:38Speaker 17: This guy.
- 56:39Speaker 2: It was a lot of fun.
- 56:42Speaker 15: So yeah, so I forgot to call on I got
- 56:43Speaker 15: I got a double whammy.
- 56:44Speaker 17: I said, I'm.
- 56:45Speaker 15: Misters Sabah and uh living in North Carolina, of course,
- 56:48Speaker 15: what happens to Patriots? I mean a big fan moved
- 56:52Speaker 15: away in two thousand down to North Carolina, and that's,
- 56:55Speaker 15: of course what happened. That's when they started winning super bowls.
- 56:59Speaker 6: There you go, yeah, but thank you for your service. Yep,
- 57:03Speaker 6: you got bragging rights down there. Thank you very much.
- 57:06Speaker 6: I love that and thank you. Say hello to Sabah.
- 57:08Speaker 6: All right, let's go to line four. Arthur's in New York.
- 57:11Speaker 6: What's up, Arthur?
- 57:13Speaker 12: I was going, guys, Actually, my first time calling in
- 57:16Speaker 12: two years.
- 57:17Speaker 1: The last time I.
- 57:18Speaker 12: Called was before the twenty twenty four draft, and I
- 57:21Speaker 12: basically begged for Jade and Daniels. I was thinking, this
- 57:24Speaker 12: guy was going to be the best quarterback, not only
- 57:26Speaker 12: in that draft, which was a stack quarterback back draft,
- 57:28Speaker 12: but basically the best quarterback who came out Saint Andrew. Look,
- 57:31Speaker 12: I was in love with the guy, and I called
- 57:33Speaker 12: in begging, hoping that Elliot Wolf would be listening to
- 57:36Speaker 12: the program and draft the guy. But obviously Daniels goes second,
- 57:40Speaker 12: May goes three, and you know, rookie year happens a
- 57:43Speaker 12: year ago. I'm thinking, should should I call back and
- 57:46Speaker 12: take a victory lap? Because Paul was saying, sure, how
- 57:49Speaker 12: Drake May was better. Evan was telling me how Drake
- 57:51Speaker 12: May was better. And then Jayden Daniels goes to the
- 57:53Speaker 12: NFC Championship game and it has one of the best
- 57:55Speaker 12: rookie years of all time, and I'm like, you know what,
- 57:57Speaker 12: should I call these Pats guys back and really take
- 58:00Speaker 12: my victory rap and brag about how right I was?
- 58:02Speaker 12: And I didn't.
- 58:03Speaker 16: I said, you know what, move on.
- 58:04Speaker 6: I was right.
- 58:05Speaker 12: Jayden Daniels is so much better than Drake May. These
- 58:07Speaker 12: guys didn't know what they're talking about. Then a year later,
- 58:10Speaker 12: I'm now not calling back to not only not even brag,
- 58:13Speaker 12: but to actually apologize because I was laughing at Paul
- 58:17Speaker 12: and Paul said Drake May was going to be more
- 58:19Speaker 12: accurate than Jade Daniels. I was laughing at him. And
- 58:21Speaker 12: not only is he more accurate, but he's the most
- 58:23Speaker 12: accurate quarterback in NFL history. And Evan I was saying,
- 58:26Speaker 12: what are you talking? You're over hyping the tools. You
- 58:29Speaker 12: gotta watch the tape. The tape matters. Why are you
- 58:31Speaker 12: looking at the tools? Augh, He's athletic, use you know,
- 58:34Speaker 12: I get Daniels had you know, neighbors and BTJ had
- 58:37Speaker 12: the better weapons. I get all your points, but watch
- 58:38Speaker 12: the tape. It's not close, but you know what, this year,
- 58:41Speaker 12: we saw all those tools came to fruition. So I
- 58:44Speaker 12: guess you guys were right about it. But my question
- 58:47Speaker 12: is based off all that, who is a player that
- 58:49Speaker 12: at first you thought was going to be like an
- 58:51Speaker 12: absolute superstar And you can't use Aaron Hernandez for this
- 58:54Speaker 12: first couple of years of their career. That was me
- 58:56Speaker 12: for jad and Daniels and then kind of had that
- 58:59Speaker 12: fall from grace where you're like, oh, what happened to
- 59:01Speaker 12: this guy? Because that was me with Jade Daniel. He
- 59:03Speaker 12: could still be great.
- 59:04Speaker 6: I mean, Jadan Daniels might still be great. He's gonna
- 59:06Speaker 6: say is the book closed? Ja, I would just say,
- 59:08Speaker 6: don't think so.
- 59:09Speaker 7: Just like you weren't right two years ago, you're not
- 59:13Speaker 7: wrong this year. Like Jayden Daniels.
- 59:15Speaker 4: Had a really good rookie year, he had an injury
- 59:17Speaker 4: plagued second season. You knows.
- 59:19Speaker 7: I mean I think he still. I think he shows
- 59:21Speaker 7: all the signs of being a really good player. I
- 59:23Speaker 7: like Drake may I liked him in college better, But
- 59:26Speaker 7: I don't think that Jayden Daniels stinks.
- 59:28Speaker 6: Yeah, I think the whole conversation down that was about
- 59:31Speaker 6: Jaden Daniels being an older prospect compared to Drake May
- 59:34Speaker 6: and Jaden Daniels was twenty four to twenty five when
- 59:37Speaker 6: he came out of college. Drake was only twenty one,
- 59:39Speaker 6: So the idea was, in two to three years, who's
- 59:42Speaker 6: going to be the better quarterback?
- 59:44Speaker 4: You know?
- 59:44Speaker 6: Right away? I was not surprised that Jayden Daniels was
- 59:47Speaker 6: a better rookie than Drake May, but I kind of
- 59:49Speaker 6: expected Drake May to eventually pass Jaden Daniels. But if
- 59:53Speaker 6: Jade and Daniels had been healthy last year, then maybe
- 59:55Speaker 6: he would have been just as good as he was
- 59:56Speaker 6: his rookie year.
- 59:57Speaker 7: Right, So let's think to some guys that initially were
- 59:59Speaker 7: real good that sort of fell off.
- 1:00:02Speaker 6: I can't really think of a ton that thought was
- 1:00:04Speaker 6: going to be really I can't really think of a
- 1:00:05Speaker 6: ton that aren't related to injuries, like yeah, like Robert Griffin,
- 1:00:09Speaker 6: like RG three obviously when we talk about Jennon Daniels
- 1:00:11Speaker 6: comes to mind, but that was injury related that he
- 1:00:14Speaker 6: fell off. So I don't know if there's a lot
- 1:00:17Speaker 6: of guys that like broke out early and then just stunk,
- 1:00:21Speaker 6: like just on the field, were just bad.
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: Well not even that they broke out. But guys, that's
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: what he was looking for. I thought he.
- 1:00:27Speaker 6: Said, guys that you thought were going to be really
- 1:00:29Speaker 6: good that just weren't. Oh, I mean there's a million,
- 1:00:31Speaker 6: there's a really Yeah.
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: I mean I'm wrong in the draft all the time.
- 1:00:34Speaker 6: Yeah, Tim Tebow maybe a little bit. Yeah, I mean
- 1:00:37Speaker 6: I think history we could see how good Tebo actually was.
- 1:00:42Speaker 6: But yeah, in terms of way, but.
- 1:00:44Speaker 7: There are guys that initially look like they show promise
- 1:00:48Speaker 7: and then they felt like he said, you can't use
- 1:00:49Speaker 7: Anon Hernandez like it initially showed promise.
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: And obviously, I mean the reasons do.
- 1:00:54Speaker 6: We consider mac showing promise in twenty twenty one, you could.
- 1:00:58Speaker 6: I'll tell you a guy who because he should promise.
- 1:01:01Speaker 6: I'll tell you a guy who came out everyone thought
- 1:01:03Speaker 6: was going to be, you know, hall of fame and
- 1:01:06Speaker 6: he was okay, but he never lived.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: Up to it. Was Andrew Luck.
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: Yeah, but that's another one with injuries.
- 1:01:12Speaker 6: Yeah, injuries, and yeah, I mean I would say talent wise,
- 1:01:15Speaker 6: Andrew Luck lived up to it.
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: Talent wise, he was a Hall of famer.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: He never had the career people thought he.
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: Would because he quit.
- 1:01:21Speaker 6: Yeah, I said that before Paul got me in trouble.
- 1:01:24Speaker 6: Don't say that.
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: I'm sorry.
- 1:01:25Speaker 7: He retired because of injuries, and he was tired to
- 1:01:28Speaker 7: say that his body was taken.
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: I'm not that's I'm not saying that it is a negative.
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: That's what he did.
- 1:01:33Speaker 7: But I think if he had, if he had played
- 1:01:35Speaker 7: five more years, he's a Hall of Famer. Yeah, I
- 1:01:37Speaker 7: mean talent, There's no doubt he hit talent wise. I
- 1:01:40Speaker 7: mean they went from what like a two or three
- 1:01:42Speaker 7: win team to a playoff team in his rookie season.
- 1:01:45Speaker 7: They can completely turn the first three years. He not
- 1:01:48Speaker 7: only was the playoff team, he went a step further
- 1:01:50Speaker 7: every year. And yeah, he was a great place. He
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: couldn't be Brady. But a lot of guys in that
- 1:01:55Speaker 7: back right.
- 1:01:55Speaker 6: Yeah, Yeah, that's a good question. I don't know. I
- 1:01:59Speaker 6: think that normally it's like an Andrew Lucker. It's an
- 1:02:02Speaker 6: RG three year. It's a situation where it's always an
- 1:02:04Speaker 6: injury or an accumstance.
- 1:02:06Speaker 9: Well, what's cross sports? What about the year that Tatum
- 1:02:10Speaker 9: was drafted three? The two guys that were drafted ahead.
- 1:02:13Speaker 6: Of him, Fulton Lonzo Ball. Yeah, yeah, I mean Marco
- 1:02:17Speaker 6: full Lonzo Ball is an NBA player like he went
- 1:02:21Speaker 6: on to have a has had a decent career, but
- 1:02:24Speaker 6: not like Tatum obviously, right, yeah, yeah.
- 1:02:27Speaker 7: I mean Fults never did anything, but most of his
- 1:02:30Speaker 7: problems were off court.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: But so, I don't know, it's a good question.
- 1:02:35Speaker 7: I can't really think of anybody that's not injury related.
- 1:02:38Speaker 7: I could think of like running backs that initially share
- 1:02:41Speaker 7: shot out of it, Robert you know, yeah, that's actually
- 1:02:44Speaker 7: who I'm Robert Edwards.
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: Oh sorry, yeah, I was actually thinking of just that,
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: you know, he on the body or well he ripped
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: up his knee in a.
- 1:02:53Speaker 7: Beach volleyball or a beach flag football game with the
- 1:02:55Speaker 7: ripped terrible.
- 1:02:57Speaker 6: Yeah, that's a good question. I am trying. I did
- 1:03:00Speaker 6: to think of guys that it wasn't circumstantial, like it was.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: Just he just wasn't good.
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: That's why.
- 1:03:07Speaker 7: They were good, and then they fell off out of nowhere.
- 1:03:10Speaker 7: But he initially they were good and then two years
- 1:03:13Speaker 7: into their career all of a sudden, like if Jayden
- 1:03:15Speaker 7: Daniels never does this again, the guy he would be one.
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: Of those guys.
- 1:03:19Speaker 5: But you think somewhat you skate on your early impression,
- 1:03:23Speaker 5: like you know, you ever have a chance to make
- 1:03:24Speaker 5: a first impression, like second chance, like guys who you're
- 1:03:26Speaker 5: kind of.
- 1:03:27Speaker 4: Yeah, right, but people were killing me for c J. Stroud.
- 1:03:30Speaker 4: You would be in that.
- 1:03:31Speaker 5: But you always kind of give somebody credit for the
- 1:03:33Speaker 5: first couple of years if they were great, and then
- 1:03:35Speaker 5: it's I don't know, it's just it's hard to really
- 1:03:38Speaker 5: like say he sucked in the year three on, Like
- 1:03:41Speaker 5: I think you always look at them as that player
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: you initially thought they were and.
- 1:03:45Speaker 7: Has a little like he's been bad for a while
- 1:03:48Speaker 7: now and it's just it's just that people are said, wow,
- 1:03:53Speaker 7: he's done, but he was good for a long time.
- 1:03:54Speaker 4: Yeah, I wouldn't say that he has a flash in.
- 1:03:56Speaker 6: The pan, but I agree with the the Stroud one
- 1:03:58Speaker 6: is a good one. Stroud to be, but Stroud ist
- 1:04:02Speaker 6: Stroud is on a similar if Jaydon Daniels could have
- 1:04:05Speaker 6: a similar you know sort of arc here if Lucaus Stroud,
- 1:04:08Speaker 6: you know, had a great rookie year and then has
- 1:04:11Speaker 6: not really been able to recapture Lewin Philly says Eddie Lacy,
- 1:04:15Speaker 6: great start, then completely fell off and got fat. Yeah,
- 1:04:19Speaker 6: there's probably a few running back got to be running back,
- 1:04:22Speaker 6: but that's like more about like they're overused in college
- 1:04:25Speaker 6: and then they have a short shelf like Todd Gurley. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:04:28Speaker 6: Todd Gurley is a good one. But like Todd Gurley again,
- 1:04:31Speaker 6: same thing was like you know when you get that
- 1:04:34Speaker 6: many carries at a young age, like only like Derrick
- 1:04:37Speaker 6: Henry is like the one guy that's been able to
- 1:04:38Speaker 6: just keep it going.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: Good stuff.
- 1:04:42Speaker 9: George and Maryland Uh says, I'm with you, Deuce. Uniforms
- 1:04:46Speaker 9: are definitely fashioned.
- 1:04:47Speaker 6: I thought I was the only one that paid extra
- 1:04:49Speaker 6: attention to face masks back in the eighty six sies
- 1:04:52Speaker 6: that I remember a feature that I think Bob Lobell
- 1:04:54Speaker 6: did when he spoke with Friar starring in Morgan about
- 1:04:57Speaker 6: their towels that the three of them wore.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: In their response was if you look good, you play good.
- 1:05:02Speaker 9: Also, the liquid you have to drink for your butt
- 1:05:05Speaker 9: issue is absolutely awful.
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: Yeah for that, it's gonna be Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: You know that's improved. That's not as bad as it
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: once was.
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: Look can play good?
- 1:05:17Speaker 5: I agree, But does this carry over to your own
- 1:05:19Speaker 5: personal sports experience because I felt like, especially in hockey,
- 1:05:22Speaker 5: like I'm very fashion conscious in hockey, like the right gloves,
- 1:05:26Speaker 5: right skates to knee pad transmit the right helmet, you know,
- 1:05:30Speaker 5: like I needed like and there was like a certain
- 1:05:33Speaker 5: combination super hockey nerds and know what I'm talking about,
- 1:05:35Speaker 5: Like a CCM helmet with a JOFA face mask in
- 1:05:37Speaker 5: the nineties was like you could just walk into the
- 1:05:39Speaker 5: you know, step onto the ice with that helmet combination on,
- 1:05:42Speaker 5: which is totally random c CM with jofah.
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: But they'd be like that guy's really cool.
- 1:05:46Speaker 9: Which of the four major sports in our country had
- 1:05:49Speaker 9: the worst old uniforms like back in the you know,
- 1:05:52Speaker 9: like old uniforms, Like I'm thinking.
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: Some NBA when they wore the short short now with the.
- 1:05:59Speaker 6: Cooper how kind of those are They're like in between
- 1:06:05Speaker 6: now they're not doing the nineties long shorts anymore, but
- 1:06:08Speaker 6: they're not short shorts anymore.
- 1:06:10Speaker 10: And the Jalen kind of likes the shorter.
- 1:06:12Speaker 6: Well, they all wear this spandex underneath it now too,
- 1:06:14Speaker 6: so it hides it.
- 1:06:15Speaker 7: But like these are like to me, those are kind
- 1:06:18Speaker 7: of two different things. Like I'm thinking of like the
- 1:06:21Speaker 7: style of uniforms, like the NBA uniforms and like the nineties,
- 1:06:24Speaker 7: I'm not talking about the style, like the baggie I
- 1:06:27Speaker 7: don't have any problem with. I mean, I don't really
- 1:06:29Speaker 7: like it, but yeah, I understand that was what everybody
- 1:06:32Speaker 7: was wearing.
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: The Fab five sort of brought all that stuff in.
- 1:06:35Speaker 7: But think back to some of those uniforms, the Cleveland Cavaliers,
- 1:06:39Speaker 7: the Utah Jazz like great uniforms, Lanta Hawks, Sixers, unbelievably
- 1:06:45Speaker 7: bad uniforms.
- 1:06:47Speaker 10: I think the Sick one.
- 1:06:48Speaker 6: I think they're bad.
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: I thought they were all the nineties, the Utah thing
- 1:06:51Speaker 4: with like the mountains on the shirt like that. I
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: think it's.
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: We can all agree on this, right, and you guys
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: are like, no, no, I can't.
- 1:07:01Speaker 7: Sometimes he seems like they were like their throwbacks and
- 1:07:04Speaker 7: they were like the Buffalo Sabers throw black.
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: One, the black red one.
- 1:07:09Speaker 6: What a hideous that's gross. They so another one I'm
- 1:07:13Speaker 6: thinking about, like the olds, like the old baseball uniform
- 1:07:18Speaker 6: those bags, like.
- 1:07:19Speaker 10: The stirrups and stuff too, and it's baggy.
- 1:07:22Speaker 6: I think I like those old baggy uniforms they like.
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: I like stirrups too, and they don't wear them really anymore.
- 1:07:29Speaker 10: Baseball uniforms are so basic.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: I was gonna laugh, like pants and yeah, button up.
- 1:07:34Speaker 5: It's like Phil Perry playing in like a throwback baseball
- 1:07:37Speaker 5: game of last year and he had like the full
- 1:07:38Speaker 5: old school get up on it.
- 1:07:39Speaker 4: I thought it was the old time.
- 1:07:41Speaker 10: But don't you think that was yeah, you know loose. Yeah,
- 1:07:46Speaker 10: And that was before they had like moisture waking fabrics.
- 1:07:50Speaker 6: They were like whoa they were they were heavy, right, Yeah,
- 1:07:53Speaker 6: but but you could have the same style and make
- 1:07:55Speaker 6: it in today's fabrics.
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: Yeah, you make fun of me because I definitely was
- 1:07:59Speaker 4: like you like to I have.
- 1:08:01Speaker 6: I had to be playing high school.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: I'd like to see the look that you compiled and
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: that you were so proud of. I'm just I want to.
- 1:08:06Speaker 7: But I had very particular things that I needed, a
- 1:08:09Speaker 7: certain wrist band in a place I had.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: Head that was not really important.
- 1:08:15Speaker 7: The like we had red uniforms in football, and like
- 1:08:19Speaker 7: they were like not quite. They weren't long sleep, but
- 1:08:22Speaker 7: they were like not short stay. They were like here,
- 1:08:25Speaker 7: and I wore a white shirt underneath it that the
- 1:08:29Speaker 7: white would stick out about.
- 1:08:30Speaker 4: This month just that much. The red and the white
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: I always thought looked good.
- 1:08:36Speaker 7: And then I had a red jersey that I wore
- 1:08:39Speaker 7: on the road because we had white shirts on the road,
- 1:08:42Speaker 7: so I couldn't wear white.
- 1:08:44Speaker 5: Arm are we dabbling so this is still fashion. We're
- 1:08:46Speaker 5: not dabbling in superstition, right, Like this is mostly SUPERSTI.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: Like, if I got how you look.
- 1:08:52Speaker 4: If I pitched, I had.
- 1:08:54Speaker 7: To wear a gray Miami Hurricane shirt underneath my uniform
- 1:08:59Speaker 7: on the day that I pitched. That shirt needed to
- 1:09:01Speaker 7: be clean you when I picked you.
- 1:09:03Speaker 6: When we bought its Will Campbell in his underwear.
- 1:09:08Speaker 7: When we played when we played the University of Miami.
- 1:09:10Speaker 7: I bought the shirt and I was like, this is
- 1:09:11Speaker 7: pretty cool. I'm playing against a bunch of guys that
- 1:09:13Speaker 7: are going to be in Major League Baseball in a
- 1:09:14Speaker 7: few years, and they were about five or six of them.
- 1:09:16Speaker 7: That's and uh, I bought that shirt and I wore
- 1:09:20Speaker 7: that shirt underneath my uniform every time I pitched.
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: I didn't have to wear it if I didn't pitch, but.
- 1:09:26Speaker 6: Only if they.
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: Go to the pen.
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: And I got then I got lit up. My facts
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: are facts. That was the reason I'm not ready.
- 1:09:36Speaker 6: The Kent State penny underneath his past and it was
- 1:09:40Speaker 6: like just disgusting.
- 1:09:41Speaker 7: Well, that's that that Miami Hurricanes jersey. Say you couldn't
- 1:09:46Speaker 7: even never got never got thrown away. It just disappeared,
- 1:09:49Speaker 7: just disintegrated.
- 1:09:50Speaker 17: Yea.
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: By the time, I had wanted so much that it
- 1:09:53Speaker 4: was just gone.
- 1:09:54Speaker 10: The only thing I cared about was like Nike Elite socks.
- 1:09:57Speaker 6: Remember basketball, Like yeah, e you definitely, I mean lacrosse,
- 1:10:03Speaker 6: especially if you play sports like that that like it's
- 1:10:06Speaker 6: swaggens with all that. You gotta look good, play good,
- 1:10:08Speaker 6: like yeah, all sorts of different pre wrap.
- 1:10:11Speaker 11: As a Headbandwhere to deal with that if you weren't
- 1:10:14Speaker 11: wearing mid caves people take that out of here.
- 1:10:16Speaker 10: Men though not men.
- 1:10:17Speaker 4: People, but like they had like long hair, yeah, kids
- 1:10:20Speaker 4: had long hair. They would put.
- 1:10:23Speaker 11: Actually thought pre wrap two months ago because I was like,
- 1:10:27Speaker 11: why did I stop doing this?
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: What's pre wrap?
- 1:10:30Speaker 11: It's like you put it down under the that you
- 1:10:33Speaker 11: put underneath like an ace bandage or.
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: Stuff like.
- 1:10:38Speaker 11: Pre wraps amazing headbands because it doesn't move so you
- 1:10:41Speaker 11: don't have to be fixing your hair in the middle,
- 1:10:45Speaker 11: not at all.
- 1:10:45Speaker 10: It's really it's like really poor. I'll show you some.
- 1:10:49Speaker 10: I'll bring it in. I'll bring it in sometimes, Okay.
- 1:10:51Speaker 4: My serves went through a lot of iterations too.
- 1:10:53Speaker 7: In high school I wasn't very high have them like
- 1:10:56Speaker 7: all the way up to the knee classic and then
- 1:10:58Speaker 7: sort of when I got to college, they kind of
- 1:11:00Speaker 7: made a transition anywhere. By the time I started college,
- 1:11:03Speaker 7: it was up to my knee. By the time I finished,
- 1:11:04Speaker 7: I had like the pants were like maybe this much showing.
- 1:11:08Speaker 6: I never, like, I never wore stirrups until eighth grade
- 1:11:12Speaker 6: when I moved and and uh, you know, everyone's putting
- 1:11:16Speaker 6: on their stirrups and I couldn't figure out how to
- 1:11:17Speaker 6: make them flat. Somebody would like roll out and like
- 1:11:20Speaker 6: flare out, you know, because it'd be too like you
- 1:11:23Speaker 6: know what I mean, Like I couldn't get it.
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: I never could get it right. My old always look goofy.
- 1:11:30Speaker 10: Do you have like a tennis I don't care about.
- 1:11:34Speaker 7: I had the head like a white sanitary sock, and
- 1:11:40Speaker 7: then you had a sock that had some color in
- 1:11:42Speaker 7: it that had like a like a line like a stirrup,
- 1:11:45Speaker 7: like you know what a stirrup is like in a horse.
- 1:11:47Speaker 10: Nope, you don't know what baseball stirrups are.
- 1:11:50Speaker 6: Never did that, really?
- 1:11:51Speaker 4: I never?
- 1:11:52Speaker 6: Nope?
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: Did you did?
- 1:11:53Speaker 9: They still call them sanitary socks under the syrup sanitary.
- 1:11:57Speaker 6: We never I think we had. We did not do that.
- 1:12:00Speaker 6: I mean I didn't play baseball very long, but if
- 1:12:02Speaker 6: I have a lot of.
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: People, yeah, those never wear those.
- 1:12:09Speaker 4: That's a sanitary So they.
- 1:12:10Speaker 5: Have a purpose though because you said they're sanitary, so
- 1:12:12Speaker 5: that implies that there is some kind of cleanliness.
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: But they just a style thing.
- 1:12:16Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I don't know.
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: They were. They were thin.
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: I mean I remember I had them in youth baseball.
- 1:12:21Speaker 11: They were thinner, and they were designed to create a
- 1:12:23Speaker 11: classic look, show team colors and provide a secure fit.
- 1:12:26Speaker 6: Why wouldn't you just wear socks that are the same color?
- 1:12:28Speaker 6: Why would you wear two socks?
- 1:12:30Speaker 4: Right?
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: Well, I don't know.
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: That's basically what when it comes I think.
- 1:12:35Speaker 11: Originally early twentieth century to prevent skin infections from colored
- 1:12:42Speaker 11: sock dies.
- 1:12:43Speaker 7: Yes, yes, I mean I played baseball beyond like you saw,
- 1:12:47Speaker 7: so like you would just wear one and Fred's right.
- 1:12:49Speaker 7: They were a lot thinner than a regular sock, so
- 1:12:52Speaker 7: like it was kind of thin. So get cold, I
- 1:12:56Speaker 7: wasn't pitching. Oh you double up those babies, stay warm.
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: I remember like the nineties.
- 1:13:01Speaker 5: I don't know, maybe I'm wrong on this, but it
- 1:13:03Speaker 5: felt like the nineties, the strip started to go away,
- 1:13:05Speaker 5: and I remember many ramiras had like just pant legs,
- 1:13:08Speaker 5: like they dragging in the dirt.
- 1:13:09Speaker 4: They don't wear them.
- 1:13:11Speaker 7: I don't know if how many people still wear them,
- 1:13:13Speaker 7: but it's always you don't see them all at.
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: The second basement.
- 1:13:16Speaker 5: I feel like the second Basement's always still got like
- 1:13:18Speaker 5: that kind of like high look, you know.
- 1:13:21Speaker 7: But they'll go with the high look with the pants,
- 1:13:22Speaker 7: but they'll have like a one solid color sanitary.
- 1:13:25Speaker 4: They don't have a stirp.
- 1:13:26Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I mean by the time I was playing baseball,
- 1:13:31Speaker 6: we had one sock ball socks or anything like that.
- 1:13:34Speaker 9: It's funny because over the years, like back in the
- 1:13:38Speaker 9: in the day, guys wouldn't wear shorts, but they wear knickers.
- 1:13:41Speaker 9: Like so when you were golfing, like guys wouldn't wear
- 1:13:44Speaker 9: pants or shorts, but they wore those knickers with the
- 1:13:47Speaker 9: high socks, you know.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: And then it started to evolute, you know.
- 1:13:51Speaker 9: Then you know Jack Nicholas time we went to the sants,
- 1:13:55Speaker 9: the belt pants, you know, like the stretchy pants.
- 1:13:59Speaker 10: Now you're not even really to wear shorts on the
- 1:14:01Speaker 10: golf course.
- 1:14:01Speaker 7: And some courses like no that you well, you can
- 1:14:07Speaker 7: wear shorts like regularly, but like pros can't, right, Yeah
- 1:14:11Speaker 7: they can't or they just don't.
- 1:14:12Speaker 4: They can't.
- 1:14:12Speaker 10: They can't.
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: Oh they're not allowed to.
- 1:14:14Speaker 4: No, why, I don't know, against the rules.
- 1:14:17Speaker 11: Weird, Like my big rape too is like a lot
- 1:14:21Speaker 11: of brands for women, there's not great golf clothes for girls.
- 1:14:27Speaker 11: So a lot of brands are like pushing golf clothes,
- 1:14:30Speaker 11: but you can't really wear them on most places because
- 1:14:32Speaker 11: the shorts are so skirt, Like, the skirts are so
- 1:14:35Speaker 11: short and they don't have callers, like and they're really
- 1:14:38Speaker 11: low cut. And you you're advertising this for golf, but
- 1:14:42Speaker 11: it's like did you even look up what you can
- 1:14:43Speaker 11: actually wear on most golf courses?
- 1:14:45Speaker 12: No?
- 1:14:46Speaker 4: Can you wear like tennis skirts golfing?
- 1:14:49Speaker 10: Yeah, but it depends on like the length because like.
- 1:14:52Speaker 4: Because that's what my nieces do. They wear tennis skirts.
- 1:14:55Speaker 10: I do too, but it's like it's got to be
- 1:14:57Speaker 10: long enough, you know.
- 1:14:58Speaker 4: But I don't.
- 1:14:59Speaker 6: We don't play at any Well, all the women were
- 1:15:01Speaker 6: shorts skirts Now yeah, they're mostly skirts.
- 1:15:04Speaker 10: Yeah, so it's just built in. There's some good brands now,
- 1:15:08Speaker 10: it was a lot, it.
- 1:15:09Speaker 4: Was two very different ten years ago.
- 1:15:11Speaker 10: It was tough to find cute golf clothes.
- 1:15:13Speaker 11: And that's the only thing, like in terms of style
- 1:15:15Speaker 11: and sports, like that's the only sport I care about.
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: Like the really, yeah, I.
- 1:15:21Speaker 6: Was never into that. Like I really could not care
- 1:15:24Speaker 6: less what I look like when.
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: I was playing.
- 1:15:27Speaker 4: You know, Wow, I'm being good.
- 1:15:30Speaker 9: Whatever they gave the way you played, who cared anyway,
- 1:15:33Speaker 9: I'm being good.
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: But like, whatever they gave me, that's what I wore,
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: you know, Like that's nice not to care.
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: I wish I like, you know, you had to.
- 1:15:44Speaker 11: I was jealous of the tennis girls in high school.
- 1:15:46Speaker 11: I always wanted to play tennis, and then I saw
- 1:15:48Speaker 11: their uniforms. They're like the cutest athletic dresses. They had
- 1:15:51Speaker 11: Ralph Lauren little polo hats with their initials on them
- 1:15:55Speaker 11: that said LHS.
- 1:15:56Speaker 10: I hate track.
- 1:15:57Speaker 4: Well, I don't know why, Juice, I really would have
- 1:15:59Speaker 4: impressed you when I was a sophomore.
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: Yeah, when I was good.
- 1:16:02Speaker 7: Looks strictly a backup quarterback, lots of sea eye black.
- 1:16:06Speaker 4: With the baseball hat, with the ever high football helmet
- 1:16:10Speaker 4: on the bench.
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: Oh yeah, were you with the clipboard?
- 1:16:15Speaker 4: Were you?
- 1:16:15Speaker 5: I was always jealous of the kids who had the
- 1:16:18Speaker 5: cutoff shirt in high school football.
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: You know, you know, and they got they got the apps.
- 1:16:22Speaker 4: I didn't have, so that came that came after me.
- 1:16:25Speaker 4: We had like traditional uniforms.
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:16:27Speaker 4: And then you know, like late eighties, early nineties, they
- 1:16:30Speaker 4: had met and they went to mesh. Yeah, right, the
- 1:16:32Speaker 4: mesh they went to, like the Triworth. I'm glad I
- 1:16:34Speaker 4: didn't have to wear that. I never really had apps
- 1:16:36Speaker 4: to pull that off.
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: No, me neither neither.
- 1:16:38Speaker 10: Zeke is like that.
- 1:16:40Speaker 9: I think, where is the belly shirt? I just remember
- 1:16:43Speaker 9: my football pants never fit right, you too tight or
- 1:16:46Speaker 9: too loose. I just couldn't get the right stupid but.
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: The one on the back.
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: And I had a good pair of pants my senior.
- 1:16:52Speaker 5: It seems that's one thing I would say, like, it
- 1:16:54Speaker 5: just seems so much better how you can get those
- 1:16:56Speaker 5: hip pads in your thigh pads. And it was like
- 1:16:59Speaker 5: you're putting together like an erector set, trying to get
- 1:17:01Speaker 5: all those thing in the pockets and then get.
- 1:17:03Speaker 6: It on and it fits right.
- 1:17:04Speaker 9: And like that took me to this place. Back then,
- 1:17:06Speaker 9: there was a sporting goods place called Herman's. We bought
- 1:17:11Speaker 9: pants from herman Yeah, that actually fit, but the knee
- 1:17:14Speaker 9: pad kept falling off the wold be like.
- 1:17:16Speaker 6: Whose n pad?
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: So like foam pads? Like what is this helping? Where
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: they get the knee ones, the thigh ones, the butt pad.
- 1:17:24Speaker 7: And for pictures, you don't wear the hip pads, so
- 1:17:27Speaker 7: you have like your shoulder pads on and then you
- 1:17:30Speaker 7: have like this tiny little waist because you don't have your.
- 1:17:33Speaker 4: Pads on and you look like you have the V shape.
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: I did not have a V.
- 1:17:37Speaker 6: Shape even with the shoulder pad, even like it looks
- 1:17:41Speaker 6: like you did, but I but I didn't.
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: Liked it there Like then they saw the real thing,
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: like it's not a V shape that was I was.
- 1:17:47Speaker 4: It didn't stop me.
- 1:17:48Speaker 6: We heard from Saba's husband. Now we hear from Saba
- 1:17:53Speaker 6: family affair. What's up Saba?
- 1:17:56Speaker 18: Hey guys, I like y'all know that my husband's the
- 1:17:58Speaker 18: one that got me the first call into my first
- 1:18:01Speaker 18: sports art radio when we were in Massachusetts together. We're
- 1:18:03Speaker 18: a residency up there, and I called a guy on
- 1:18:06Speaker 18: Saturday mornings. He did a lot of hockey call. What
- 1:18:10Speaker 18: his name was, I don't know.
- 1:18:12Speaker 6: It was.
- 1:18:14Speaker 4: Sports Hub.
- 1:18:15Speaker 18: That's what they do, the hockey gause. I think that
- 1:18:17Speaker 18: was before the yacht.
- 1:18:19Speaker 6: Well, ty doesn't one on the Sports Hub, which I
- 1:18:21Speaker 6: highly recommend ninety nine. Oh oh yeah, he wasn't even
- 1:18:26Speaker 6: nineteen ninety nine. Oh yeah, yeah, Oh I thought you
- 1:18:30Speaker 6: were talking about now ninety nine on Saturday morning?
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: Who would have that? Yeah, I probably should know that
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: that guy. Yeah, I'm not sure.
- 1:18:40Speaker 6: Was it Dale Arnold?
- 1:18:42Speaker 4: That's a good guy, Arnold.
- 1:18:43Speaker 18: Oh might have been my Sames Dean. Maybe it was Dale,
- 1:18:46Speaker 18: That's who probably was. Yeah, we couldn't remember who it was.
- 1:18:50Speaker 18: But now I'm a junkie. I love listening to stuff
- 1:18:52Speaker 18: and talking and it's just like having an open conversation
- 1:18:55Speaker 18: with people that you enjoyed talking with and listening to.
- 1:18:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:18:58Speaker 18: I really do appreciate you guys. But can I chime
- 1:19:01Speaker 18: in on the Jaden Daniels thing the other gentleman to
- 1:19:03Speaker 18: call down about. Don't have any remorse about thinking Jaden
- 1:19:08Speaker 18: was better than Drake because majority of people thought so,
- 1:19:11Speaker 18: not me, because I saw Drake play in person, you know,
- 1:19:13Speaker 18: Comitar Hill. But anyhow, what Jaden Daniels does is, in
- 1:19:18Speaker 18: this first season, he did what.
- 1:19:20Speaker 4: We call.
- 1:19:22Speaker 18: Pass to run I call him PTRs. So there were
- 1:19:25Speaker 18: designed cast plays. Paul pass plays on third and long
- 1:19:28Speaker 18: fourth along that he was just gonna run, so he
- 1:19:31Speaker 18: would go back there for about two seconds and then
- 1:19:34Speaker 18: he would just find a little crease and run for
- 1:19:37Speaker 18: like twenty hours thirty rs right and gets the first down. Well,
- 1:19:39Speaker 18: what happened is this year people wised up to it
- 1:19:42Speaker 18: and was like, no, sir, you're gonna have to actually
- 1:19:45Speaker 18: throw the ball. So his pass the runs did not work,
- 1:19:47Speaker 18: so he would get sacked, and then every time you
- 1:19:49Speaker 18: have a bad game, they'd be like, oh, he's hurt,
- 1:19:51Speaker 18: but no X rays rapper positive. So he never actually
- 1:19:53Speaker 18: got injured all season long, except one dislocated elbows that
- 1:19:58Speaker 18: with that guy from Saint Louis. He came back from
- 1:20:00Speaker 18: the next week. Kurt Warner came back the next week
- 1:20:02Speaker 18: from this obo and he had ligman damage. Jane Dale's
- 1:20:06Speaker 18: never had ligma damage, so he never was actually injured. Guys,
- 1:20:08Speaker 18: this was salt benching by the Redskins because they tried
- 1:20:11Speaker 18: to hot him because he was not himself. He was
- 1:20:14Speaker 18: not prepared, he was not reading defenses. Every pass play
- 1:20:17Speaker 18: he tried to run. So I think Drake May is
- 1:20:20Speaker 18: definitely the long term play here.
- 1:20:22Speaker 7: Okay, all right, I like the last sentences about three
- 1:20:25Speaker 7: with any of the other sentences.
- 1:20:27Speaker 4: He missed ten games. Don't tell me he wasn't hurt.
- 1:20:29Speaker 6: Yeah, no, he was heard. Yeah, they do some of
- 1:20:32Speaker 6: those uh you know RPOs or you know what what
- 1:20:36Speaker 6: does she call them pprs or whatever? It has to
- 1:20:38Speaker 6: run you know, where he's like reading a defender in
- 1:20:41Speaker 6: the middle of the field, usually the mic and like
- 1:20:43Speaker 6: when the mic zone drops into certain areas, he has
- 1:20:46Speaker 6: the option to then like convert it into a run.
- 1:20:48Speaker 6: But it's kind of like basically an RPO, and you know,
- 1:20:52Speaker 6: they they kind of have like a read based off
- 1:20:54Speaker 6: of where, you know, where the guys are dropping out
- 1:20:57Speaker 6: and stuff like that, of whether or not he's going
- 1:20:58Speaker 6: to pass it or run it. But I mean, he
- 1:21:01Speaker 6: made plenty of great throws his rookie season, so he's a.
- 1:21:05Speaker 4: Really good He threw the ball as much as rookie
- 1:21:07Speaker 4: season as Drake threw it last year.
- 1:21:08Speaker 6: Yeah, I believe that. I Mean they're different runners. Likes
- 1:21:13Speaker 6: more running in structure by design, whereas Drake made is
- 1:21:16Speaker 6: more of a scrambler. Yeah, so I'd say that they're
- 1:21:19Speaker 6: different in that respect.
- 1:21:21Speaker 9: You know, we've been remiss, We've gone an hour and
- 1:21:25Speaker 9: twenty one minutes, and we didn't mention yesterday's headline that's
- 1:21:28Speaker 9: Tronkowski is the new inductee into the Patriots Hall of Fame.
- 1:21:33Speaker 9: Congratulations Rob Gronkowski, the newest member of the Patriots Hall
- 1:21:37Speaker 9: of Fame.
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: There we go.
- 1:21:39Speaker 9: I tried Adam and so did James. Pettigrew said he
- 1:21:42Speaker 9: voted for Adam twelve times by changing my IP address,
- 1:21:45Speaker 9: but it made no difference.
- 1:21:48Speaker 4: Suddenly he ended up with twenty four votes.
- 1:21:50Speaker 9: But you know, even Gronkowski mentioned it was cool getting
- 1:21:52Speaker 9: in on the first ballot. Yeah, he absolutely deserves to,
- 1:21:55Speaker 9: no doubt, but so does Vintari. But that's but congratulations
- 1:21:59Speaker 9: going Kowski.
- 1:22:00Speaker 4: Absolutely, and it was you got the full Gronk.
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: It was so you know, that'll be a really good induction,
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: you know that man.
- 1:22:08Speaker 10: Yeah, calling in from a pontoon boat.
- 1:22:12Speaker 6: Yeah, oh yeah he was. He was on on are
- 1:22:17Speaker 6: you on a boat?
- 1:22:18Speaker 10: Yes, I am.
- 1:22:19Speaker 6: Karen, single engine pontoon boat, nothing.
- 1:22:22Speaker 4: Fancy, brand new. Yeah, I just bought first time on
- 1:22:26Speaker 4: my first.
- 1:22:26Speaker 10: Time on it today and I'm already a Hall of
- 1:22:28Speaker 10: Fame boat driver.
- 1:22:29Speaker 2: Yeah, oh my god.
- 1:22:30Speaker 6: Yeah. The best was just like you know how and
- 1:22:33Speaker 6: like yeah on was this Microsoft Teams or whatever software.
- 1:22:37Speaker 6: I don't want to get in trouble. You know how
- 1:22:39Speaker 6: you can like put your name at the bottom and
- 1:22:42Speaker 6: like and like you could write, you know, I have
- 1:22:44Speaker 6: a Lazar. He wrote, mister Patriots Hall of Famer.
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: Oh that's great, It's good for him.
- 1:22:51Speaker 6: Yeah, he was really excited about it. He said that
- 1:22:54Speaker 6: Robert Craft actually left him a voicemail. I guess he
- 1:22:58Speaker 6: didn't answer for some reason, and he left I'm a
- 1:23:00Speaker 6: voicemail and he said that he'd save the voicemail forever.
- 1:23:03Speaker 6: He said, you know, he doesn't really save voicemails too often.
- 1:23:06Speaker 6: And then the other thing that I thought was really
- 1:23:08Speaker 6: cool was him talking about, you know, him and Julian
- 1:23:11Speaker 6: Edelman going in back to back years and obviously they
- 1:23:14Speaker 6: are super close and have the podcast together now and
- 1:23:16Speaker 6: all that stuff. And he said, you know, remember us
- 1:23:19Speaker 6: back in twenty ten, you know, two young idiots, and
- 1:23:22Speaker 6: now we're you know, back to back. First match.
- 1:23:27Speaker 4: Yeah, that's either one of those guys ever partied.
- 1:23:30Speaker 6: He was talking about their their party, and I would
- 1:23:33Speaker 6: have maybe left that part out, but he he said that,
- 1:23:36Speaker 6: you know, he told some story about them at a
- 1:23:38Speaker 6: club in Boston, one time and then he was like,
- 1:23:42Speaker 6: yeah we were.
- 1:23:43Speaker 4: We went from that to.
- 1:23:44Speaker 6: Back to back first ballot Patriot Hall of Famers. That's
- 1:23:48Speaker 6: pretty cool.
- 1:23:48Speaker 5: That's what's cool for me is those are the first
- 1:23:50Speaker 5: two guys that I can honestly say I saw. I
- 1:23:53Speaker 5: knew every moment of their career. I saw every game
- 1:23:55Speaker 5: they played. I saw from the moment they were drafted.
- 1:23:58Speaker 5: I was writing about them, talking about them. You know
- 1:24:01Speaker 5: it just to see that all come full circle, and
- 1:24:04Speaker 5: you know, to go from those moments of Gronk arriving
- 1:24:08Speaker 5: here on the draft stage and you just knew this
- 1:24:11Speaker 5: guy is hilarious.
- 1:24:12Speaker 4: I mean, I just I was so.
- 1:24:14Speaker 5: I mean I didn't do anywhere near the draft research.
- 1:24:16Speaker 5: You know that I that I do now, but just
- 1:24:17Speaker 5: to who is this guy getting all his brothers out there?
- 1:24:20Speaker 5: All the stories we've heard, and then I remember you.
- 1:24:23Speaker 5: I mean, we've talked about it before, but it was
- 1:24:24Speaker 5: like James didn't he like drag laurinaitis, Like his first
- 1:24:27Speaker 5: his first preseason game against the Rams had like one
- 1:24:30Speaker 5: foot and like hop hop hop pulling James Laurnidis, you know,
- 1:24:34Speaker 5: big OSU linebacker. They're just somewhat what a career I mean,
- 1:24:37Speaker 5: in every injury that they had, like I remember taking
- 1:24:42Speaker 5: every injury they had, like feeling it, like you know
- 1:24:45Speaker 5: Edelman breaking his arm that year, and you know Gronk
- 1:24:48Speaker 5: that that twenty thirteen when he got hit by what's
- 1:24:51Speaker 5: his face against the Browns and blew his knee out
- 1:24:53Speaker 5: and just safety feeling sick myself. TJ Ward or you
- 1:24:58Speaker 5: know when he was on the field in fifteen rolling around.
- 1:25:00Speaker 5: You know, these are just moments you just never forget.
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: Career was over.
- 1:25:06Speaker 5: But how many you know, there's nothing worse when you
- 1:25:08Speaker 5: you cover this team and you know, you know, if
- 1:25:10Speaker 5: you're just a fan, and those moments on the field
- 1:25:13Speaker 5: when a guy's down and and you know, I waited
- 1:25:15Speaker 5: for able to lay hands up, but it's just like
- 1:25:17Speaker 5: I hate him.
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: Well that's it for him, Like you know, and you're.
- 1:25:19Speaker 5: Instantly your brain populates like everything that this means and
- 1:25:22Speaker 5: who's going to have to step up?
- 1:25:23Speaker 2: And how long is it going to take till this
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: guy can possibly get back? And will he be the
- 1:25:27Speaker 2: same player?
- 1:25:27Speaker 9: And about all the hand ringing? Uh before the twenty
- 1:25:30Speaker 9: eleven Super Bowl?
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: Yeah right, that one.
- 1:25:33Speaker 5: I mean, so that's a great one, Fred, because it
- 1:25:36Speaker 5: was like he got hurt, he left and like, well,
- 1:25:38Speaker 5: I mean he came back in he was you know,
- 1:25:39Speaker 5: he's playing at the end of the game. He went
- 1:25:41Speaker 5: in there and blocked on like a field goal or
- 1:25:42Speaker 5: something like that, and he's you know, jumping around on
- 1:25:44Speaker 5: the field with the AFC.
- 1:25:45Speaker 4: Championship and you're like, all right, well maybe he's okay.
- 1:25:47Speaker 5: Like I just so remember those ups and downs or
- 1:25:51Speaker 5: you know, Edelman tearing his ACL and in the twenty
- 1:25:53Speaker 5: seventeen preseason, like you know, I mean, I'm.
- 1:25:55Speaker 6: Pointing, I'm pointing out all the horrible with these guys.
- 1:25:59Speaker 5: You know, there were obviously so many great moments that
- 1:26:01Speaker 5: we dispressed that nauseum, but you just you still remember
- 1:26:04Speaker 5: every up and down of these guys career, and it's
- 1:26:05Speaker 5: it's cool to see it come full circle.
- 1:26:07Speaker 6: Yeah, it's cool the you know, to see Brady Edelman
- 1:26:12Speaker 6: Gronk go in in three years of succession, like especially
- 1:26:17Speaker 6: for like Patriots, as we were talking about it on
- 1:26:19Speaker 6: Catch twenty two yesterday, of like ore, like those are
- 1:26:22Speaker 6: our guys, right, Like those are the guys that we
- 1:26:24Speaker 6: grew up as like super fans of. Now they're going
- 1:26:28Speaker 6: into the Patriots Hall of Fame. And I'm like so
- 1:26:30Speaker 6: glad that Gronk has like come back to the Patriots'
- 1:26:35Speaker 6: post retirement because he didn't leave on the best of terms,
- 1:26:39Speaker 6: certainly didn't leave on the best of terms with Bill
- 1:26:41Speaker 6: and goes to Tampa Bay, wins the Super Bowl with
- 1:26:44Speaker 6: Brady down in Tampa Bay, and he has fully embraced
- 1:26:48Speaker 6: being a Patriot in his post playing career, and that
- 1:26:52Speaker 6: I think is is really cool because I can can't
- 1:26:54Speaker 6: really say that about the other guy, to be honest,
- 1:26:56Speaker 6: So U you know, to see him, you know, care
- 1:26:59Speaker 6: so much about the Patriots. He still you know, lives
- 1:27:02Speaker 6: up here a little bit, uh for a lot of
- 1:27:04Speaker 6: the year and has his house up here, and you
- 1:27:07Speaker 6: wanted to retire a Patriot, you know, last season. Now
- 1:27:10Speaker 6: he goes into the Hall of Fame. So he's done
- 1:27:13Speaker 6: a ton of things in the community around here as well.
- 1:27:17Speaker 6: So it's cool to have like I feel like we
- 1:27:19Speaker 6: kind of have him back, you know, like he left
- 1:27:22Speaker 6: and stuff like that wasn't great and now you kind
- 1:27:25Speaker 6: of have him back. And he could not have been
- 1:27:27Speaker 6: I mean, he was over the moon about it yesterday. Yeah,
- 1:27:30Speaker 6: it's good stuff. So that happened yesterday. Forget all about it.
- 1:27:34Speaker 9: So that happened, Yeah, Deuce, says Timothy Cooper. Rolls and
- 1:27:40Speaker 9: hockey in the eighties were cool.
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: They're so bad.
- 1:27:43Speaker 4: There had those, right, the Whalers had him.
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: Maybe there are a few teams that had it.
- 1:27:51Speaker 4: College hockey.
- 1:27:53Speaker 7: There was like an old game on Nessen, like a
- 1:27:56Speaker 7: couple of months ago, and I was watching. They came on,
- 1:27:58Speaker 7: and I immediately texted Deuce.
- 1:28:02Speaker 2: Why does they look so wrong?
- 1:28:03Speaker 4: You know they did well?
- 1:28:04Speaker 6: Remember remember when baseball tried to go with shorts for
- 1:28:09Speaker 6: a second.
- 1:28:10Speaker 7: The White Sox didn't. White Baseball didn't go with shorts.
- 1:28:14Speaker 7: The White Sox did it.
- 1:28:15Speaker 6: The players.
- 1:28:18Speaker 4: Had a mutiny. Yeah, Bill veck Ye.

- 1:30:59Speaker 5: The twenty twenty six NFL Draft is in the rear
- 1:31:01Speaker 5: view mirror, and we are here to break down the
- 1:31:03Speaker 5: Patriots draft picks.
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: Guys, we've had a couple of days to let it
- 1:31:06Speaker 2: simmer a little bit.
- 1:31:07Speaker 4: Paul, Let's start with you.
- 1:31:09Speaker 5: Just what are your overall impressions here the Patriots twenty
- 1:31:11Speaker 5: twenty six draft class.
- 1:31:12Speaker 4: I think it was kind of a safe draft class.
- 1:31:14Speaker 7: I think they you know, you asked most Patriots fans
- 1:31:17Speaker 7: the top three or four needs in some order, it
- 1:31:20Speaker 7: would have been edge, tackle, tight end, those three positions,
- 1:31:24Speaker 7: and not coincidentally, those are the first three off the board.
- 1:31:28Speaker 7: So like, you know, someone reached out and they asked,
- 1:31:31Speaker 7: you know, what'd you think of the draft? And I
- 1:31:32Speaker 7: said chalk And they were like, what does that mean?
- 1:31:35Speaker 7: And I was like, well, it just means all the positions.
- 1:31:38Speaker 4: We all thought they were going to be interested in,
- 1:31:40Speaker 4: they were interested in and took kind of the best
- 1:31:41Speaker 4: player available at the time at those positions. Yeah, you know,
- 1:31:45Speaker 4: so you know, I think you go, tackle, edge, tight
- 1:31:48Speaker 4: end makes a lot of sense.
- 1:31:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:31:49Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 1:31:49Speaker 6: I felt like, not only are the positions, but the
- 1:31:53Speaker 6: order in which they went in. How many different mock
- 1:31:55Speaker 6: drafts did you read reading up to the draft where
- 1:31:58Speaker 6: it was tackle, edge, tight end, the way the board
- 1:32:01Speaker 6: was going to be set up right, and I think
- 1:32:03Speaker 6: we talked about the seven tackles up in the first
- 1:32:06Speaker 6: round and then the deeper edge class and the deeper
- 1:32:08Speaker 6: tight end class, and maybe those are the positions.
- 1:32:11Speaker 4: That you can end up waiting on.
- 1:32:12Speaker 6: I think the biggest thing to me, though, the X
- 1:32:15Speaker 6: factor of this whole class is duces Guy gave Acis,
- 1:32:18Speaker 6: Like if gave acxis has the clearest path to contribute immediately.
- 1:32:23Speaker 6: You know, the tight end usually a longer developing position. Obviously,
- 1:32:27Speaker 6: Lomu's probably gonna sit behind Will Campbell and Morgan Moses.
- 1:32:30Speaker 6: If AGAs can come in and make an immediate impact
- 1:32:33Speaker 6: and maybe push for starting reps early on in his
- 1:32:36Speaker 6: rookie contract, then you know, you feel pretty good about
- 1:32:39Speaker 6: this draft. I kind of felt a little bit subdued
- 1:32:42Speaker 6: compared to the last couple of years, but I think
- 1:32:44Speaker 6: that's just because of where they were picking relative to
- 1:32:47Speaker 6: where they were the last two seasons.
- 1:32:48Speaker 2: They didn't have a pick in the fourth round, and
- 1:32:49Speaker 2: I kind of felt like the dividing line to me of.
- 1:32:52Speaker 6: The top three little disappointed.
- 1:32:54Speaker 2: It makes sense.
- 1:32:54Speaker 5: I mean, let's talk about that a little bit though,
- 1:32:56Speaker 5: because you said, Paul, the top three positions, positions, We
- 1:33:00Speaker 5: talked about those spots. And then we got into the
- 1:33:02Speaker 5: fifth round and we start seeing you know, Karen Prunty
- 1:33:06Speaker 5: his cornerback, and like, all right, well that's not a
- 1:33:07Speaker 5: huge need. Then we see another tackle come off the
- 1:33:09Speaker 5: board who admittedly fits the bill, but overall it seems
- 1:33:13Speaker 5: to me like high hopes for the top three guys,
- 1:33:16Speaker 5: maybe Akus the only one immediately out of the gate,
- 1:33:18Speaker 5: but after that kind of got to.
- 1:33:20Speaker 6: Wait and see what happens.
- 1:33:21Speaker 4: Kind of a red shirt draft.
- 1:33:22Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean I understand why people would say that
- 1:33:26Speaker 7: these people that they just took, probably for the most part,
- 1:33:29Speaker 7: aren't going to be huge contributor relied upon. I mean,
- 1:33:32Speaker 7: there's always surprises, but they're probably not going to be
- 1:33:34Speaker 7: relied upon. I would just, you know, just say, just
- 1:33:36Speaker 7: to offer a different perspective, you guys were a little
- 1:33:38Speaker 7: disappointed in the fourth round, I was kind of that
- 1:33:41Speaker 7: was an aspect that I was kind of excited about,
- 1:33:44Speaker 7: not just because it gave us less players to sort
- 1:33:46Speaker 7: of have to catch up with, but more importantly because
- 1:33:51Speaker 7: when you have those kinds of situations, when there's individual
- 1:33:54Speaker 7: positions that you want to address, and those guys start
- 1:33:57Speaker 7: coming off the board. Evan talked about the seven tackles.
- 1:34:00Speaker 7: It was a similar situation with with the edge guys
- 1:34:02Speaker 7: and the tight ends. You needed to get aggressive to
- 1:34:04Speaker 7: go up. You know, in the past, I think Bill
- 1:34:06Speaker 7: Belichick at times, especially later in his tenure, would have
- 1:34:10Speaker 7: been content to let it come to him and if
- 1:34:12Speaker 7: it wasn't there when he got there, oh well, we'll
- 1:34:14Speaker 7: just go off in a different direction. And that's how
- 1:34:16Speaker 7: you end up sort of being left out of some
- 1:34:19Speaker 7: of the deep positions that Evan was talking about all
- 1:34:22Speaker 7: this draft process, edge and tight end, those guys were there.
- 1:34:25Speaker 4: They got aggressive one up and got them. That's I
- 1:34:27Speaker 4: really liked that element on them.
- 1:34:29Speaker 6: Yeah, the fourth round pick, and that's the other side
- 1:34:31Speaker 6: of it that I totally agree with. I just thought
- 1:34:33Speaker 6: the fourth round had some value in the draft like this,
- 1:34:36Speaker 6: especially at linebacker and safety, which were two positions I
- 1:34:39Speaker 6: thought that they were going to hit. So unless, you know,
- 1:34:42Speaker 6: maybe Punty ends up being a safety long term. I
- 1:34:44Speaker 6: see some of that with his game, But you kind
- 1:34:47Speaker 6: of missed on the safeties, right. He didn't draft a
- 1:34:49Speaker 6: safety in this draft and I don't know if we're
- 1:34:52Speaker 6: going to count on the TCU kid to be the
- 1:34:54Speaker 6: depth that they need at linebacker, right, We'll see what
- 1:34:56Speaker 6: happens with that.
- 1:34:57Speaker 4: So those are the two positions.
- 1:34:59Speaker 6: I thought coming up out of the draft that if
- 1:35:01Speaker 6: they had had at least one of those fourth round picks,
- 1:35:04Speaker 6: you probably hit one of those positions a little bit
- 1:35:06Speaker 6: earlier than what they ended up doing. But I kind
- 1:35:09Speaker 6: of felt like the Day three was sort of a
- 1:35:12Speaker 6: special teams, fill out the back of the roster kind
- 1:35:16Speaker 6: of day as it normally is. But maybe you could,
- 1:35:19Speaker 6: you know, for every one of those guys, like there's
- 1:35:21Speaker 6: a Craig Woodson who you get in the fourth round
- 1:35:23Speaker 6: who ends up being a diamond in the.
- 1:35:24Speaker 5: Rough, if there was one of those guys fifth round
- 1:35:27Speaker 5: on that were to kind of develop and come out
- 1:35:29Speaker 5: of nowhere.
- 1:35:30Speaker 2: Who could have the biggest impact for this team.
- 1:35:32Speaker 5: You think, like, if there's one guy you're circle and
- 1:35:34Speaker 5: saying you know this for me, I'm gonna say jam Miller.
- 1:35:37Speaker 5: Just I think there's an opportunity for a third running
- 1:35:39Speaker 5: back behind Ramandra Stevenson and Trayvon Henderson and rhym Me,
- 1:35:43Speaker 5: a little bit of Damian Harris not to stick to
- 1:35:45Speaker 5: the Alabama thing. But maybe there's an opportunity for him.
- 1:35:48Speaker 5: And of course I think you got to mention just
- 1:35:49Speaker 5: crown Over having another huge tackle, long guy, monster size.
- 1:35:55Speaker 5: It's excited to see him walk off the bus as
- 1:35:57Speaker 5: they say.
- 1:35:58Speaker 7: Yeah, you know, the tackle is the one that stood
- 1:35:59Speaker 7: out to me just because of what you just said,
- 1:36:01Speaker 7: just the obvious measurables.
- 1:36:03Speaker 4: But I did think it was interesting.
- 1:36:05Speaker 7: Lewis Riddick, you know, a very respected, you know, former personnel,
- 1:36:10Speaker 7: you know, a guy in the NFL. Been doing it
- 1:36:13Speaker 7: for a long time. He likes to put out a
- 1:36:14Speaker 7: list of his favorite non first round picks for every team,
- 1:36:18Speaker 7: and he tries to stay away from second round picks.
- 1:36:21Speaker 4: Obi Izor was the pick for the Patriots.
- 1:36:23Speaker 7: So maybe he's easily he thinks, you know, in two
- 1:36:26Speaker 7: or three years, there's a chance that he's more than
- 1:36:28Speaker 7: just a special team or he might be complete competing
- 1:36:31Speaker 7: for playing time.
- 1:36:32Speaker 4: I'm not going to pretend to that. I'm that familiar
- 1:36:35Speaker 4: with his game and his his resume.
- 1:36:37Speaker 7: So I'll go with crown Over just because of the
- 1:36:39Speaker 7: obvious he's got the measurables to succeed at that position.
- 1:36:43Speaker 4: We'll find out if he has the ability to do so.
- 1:36:45Speaker 6: I would say I'm most excited about accus Raredan's exciting
- 1:36:50Speaker 6: to you just because of the developmental tree there. And
- 1:36:52Speaker 6: I'll see if you know about Loma.
- 1:36:54Speaker 4: I'm trying to still trying to win me over on
- 1:36:56Speaker 4: that one.
- 1:36:56Speaker 5: I did pretty good. I saved Acus for the end,
- 1:36:58Speaker 5: right like that's I was sitting on that. But you know,
- 1:37:00Speaker 5: just I mean, he plays the way that and everybody
- 1:37:02Speaker 5: knows it too. You saw, you know, the clips of
- 1:37:04Speaker 5: the scouts talking about him. I mean, he just plays
- 1:37:07Speaker 5: the way that Mike Rabel and this defense zat Core
- 1:37:10Speaker 5: want their guys to play. And there's just an opportunity
- 1:37:12Speaker 5: for him. Not a well kept secret that the Patriots
- 1:37:14Speaker 5: needed an edge rusher this year. He's the kind of
- 1:37:17Speaker 5: guy that I think can come right in and even
- 1:37:19Speaker 5: if he's just as a pass rusher out of the gate,
- 1:37:21Speaker 5: he can bring some power to that edge, you know,
- 1:37:23Speaker 5: maybe not quite the speed rusher. I know Elliot Will
- 1:37:25Speaker 5: said in the pre draft process that we could use
- 1:37:27Speaker 5: some speed. I don't really care all that much though,
- 1:37:29Speaker 5: the way that guy plays. I'm just excited to add
- 1:37:31Speaker 5: into the room.
- 1:37:32Speaker 6: Yeah, absolutely, And I think we probably and I say we,
- 1:37:35Speaker 6: I mean people like me probably overrate speed a little
- 1:37:39Speaker 6: bit too much this time of year. You know, the
- 1:37:41Speaker 6: guys like you know, for example, like a cash Is Howel,
- 1:37:43Speaker 6: who just have this finesse playing style that can win inside.
- 1:37:47Speaker 4: Out and make tackles look silly.
- 1:37:49Speaker 6: In the college game when you get up to the
- 1:37:51Speaker 6: big boys, like, power is still the foundation of what
- 1:37:54Speaker 6: most of these guys win with. And Akus is one
- 1:37:57Speaker 6: of the best bull rushers in the draft. Most of
- 1:38:00Speaker 6: his moves are power moves, but he does have enough
- 1:38:03Speaker 6: of like an inside counter rip move on the edge
- 1:38:06Speaker 6: that when guys try to come out and get him,
- 1:38:08Speaker 6: he has ways to kind of sleuth around them because
- 1:38:11Speaker 6: they're trying to be aggressive and shut down that bull rush.
- 1:38:13Speaker 4: So he has different ways to beat you.
- 1:38:16Speaker 6: You know. The run defense I think is really sturdy
- 1:38:18Speaker 6: as well, and the way he plays through blocks and
- 1:38:21Speaker 6: takes on pullers, and you know, good luck to every
- 1:38:24Speaker 6: tight end that you know tries to block him. Like
- 1:38:27Speaker 6: all those different kinds of things.
- 1:38:29Speaker 4: He has that ability.
- 1:38:30Speaker 6: I was actually you know, watching him against Ohio State
- 1:38:33Speaker 6: and Will cas Merrick, who the Dolphins drafted in the
- 1:38:36Speaker 6: third round. Those two are going to go toe to
- 1:38:38Speaker 6: toe for Robley the next three or four years, and
- 1:38:41Speaker 6: Atkins just went right through him to the ball on
- 1:38:43Speaker 6: one rep. And I was like, oh, we'll see that
- 1:38:45Speaker 6: twice a year in the AFC East. So he's got
- 1:38:47Speaker 6: that kind of play style too him.
- 1:38:49Speaker 2: That's funny, I talk.
- 1:38:52Speaker 6: And now great moments in.
- 1:38:56Speaker 2: History.
- 1:38:57Speaker 6: You know when we go to Ford Field to play
- 1:38:58Speaker 6: the Lions.
- 1:38:59Speaker 13: Yeah, and they do that pre game show next that
- 1:39:01Speaker 13: kid who was like in his early thirties maybe at
- 1:39:03Speaker 13: most at most, and.
- 1:39:05Speaker 4: He's like, Hey, everybody, welcome to Ford Pheel. We're gonna
- 1:39:08Speaker 4: be talking about to try Lion.
- 1:39:10Speaker 6: That was gonna be talking about the Ford drivel.
- 1:39:12Speaker 8: Yeah, Like why did they do that? Like why did
- 1:39:17Speaker 8: that become a thing? It's always been that way, Hi, everybody.
- 1:39:23Speaker 8: Beth Mullins in the Angele's charger. But it let's go
- 1:39:26Speaker 8: to bed, little bride lo and it's more that it
- 1:39:30Speaker 8: looks a little cold today.
- 1:39:34Speaker 4: That was like a mix Johnnots her voice and Harry Carry.
- 1:39:38Speaker 10: I would pay you one hundred dollars to do the
- 1:39:40Speaker 10: rest of the show.
- 1:39:40Speaker 17: Just like that.
- 1:39:41Speaker 12: I love.
- 1:39:43Speaker 2: That's pretty That's what she said.
- 1:39:45Speaker 4: That's another great moment from.
- 1:39:49Speaker 9: All right, back here, Patriots unfiltered, We're talking everything.
- 1:39:53Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a different drafty uniforms, John Darius, Old Time City.
- 1:40:03Speaker 9: Yeah, and a lot of people call it is. So
- 1:40:05Speaker 9: let's get to the phones. Let's go to Eddie in
- 1:40:07Speaker 9: Florida on line two. What's up, Eddie, Eddie? Eddie's gone?
- 1:40:14Speaker 9: All right, we'll try line three. Cam Is in North Carolina.
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: Camm Hey where theyre going?
- 1:40:21Speaker 23: Okay, quick question and one one statement, bred. I was
- 1:40:26Speaker 23: just wondering if you would have won an hour and
- 1:40:28Speaker 23: a half, Uh, if Adam Gonna Tarry would have got
- 1:40:31Speaker 23: selected before remembering that that's a that's.
- 1:40:35Speaker 1: A very good point.
- 1:40:36Speaker 4: He's very good, very good.
- 1:40:39Speaker 22: No, I'm just kidding.
- 1:40:41Speaker 23: But also just another thing is when you guys were
- 1:40:43Speaker 23: talking earlier about people that you know, we're supposed to
- 1:40:47Speaker 23: be superstars, and maybe didn't one name that kind of
- 1:40:49Speaker 23: king of mind was justin Blackman and I can't remember if.
- 1:40:53Speaker 22: That's somebody that that was like, yeah, yeah, And if
- 1:41:01Speaker 22: I could just ask one more quick question, uh, I
- 1:41:03Speaker 22: was wondering, how how likely is it that Chism actually
- 1:41:08Speaker 22: has a chance of, you know, getting on the field
- 1:41:11Speaker 22: this year.
- 1:41:11Speaker 23: I know, obviously ascending a j Brown's there, Romeo Dobbs.
- 1:41:14Speaker 23: I mean, there's a lot of people that are on
- 1:41:16Speaker 23: the depth chart and just wondering if if there's any
- 1:41:19Speaker 23: path to him actually seeing some some field time this year. Yeah,
- 1:41:22Speaker 23: I'll take it off air.
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: I think it's getting real tough for him. Yeah.
- 1:41:25Speaker 6: I think it depends on, uh, you know, what is
- 1:41:28Speaker 6: their plans with Pop and you know, as Pop, him
- 1:41:31Speaker 6: and Booty are both in their final years of their
- 1:41:34Speaker 6: rookie contracts and all the rumors that have been about Booty,
- 1:41:37Speaker 6: I think because of the he has a little bit
- 1:41:38Speaker 6: more trade value probably, But do we get to the
- 1:41:41Speaker 6: end of camp and Afton Chisholm makes a push and
- 1:41:44Speaker 6: he's kind of the same as Pop and one's on
- 1:41:47Speaker 6: the last year contract. Yeah, me too.
- 1:41:51Speaker 7: If Douglas goes, then they're telling you that they like
- 1:41:55Speaker 7: Chisholm at least as much and that would be a
- 1:41:57Speaker 7: path at some point time. If it stays the same
- 1:42:00Speaker 7: as it was last year. I don't see him getting
- 1:42:02Speaker 7: any more playing time he did last year. There's injuries
- 1:42:05Speaker 7: he'll like he did last year, there were injuries that
- 1:42:07Speaker 7: got him on the roster a few times.
- 1:42:09Speaker 4: I think he caught a past or too, right, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:42:12Speaker 4: he had a touchdown against the Jets in the JV
- 1:42:14Speaker 4: game the Jets.
- 1:42:17Speaker 9: Darius writes it about the players who didn't pan out
- 1:42:20Speaker 9: Josh Gordon.
- 1:42:21Speaker 2: Again off field, Yeah, yeah, moments.
- 1:42:25Speaker 7: But Josh Gordon would be I think in this conversation
- 1:42:29Speaker 7: because he had some really big years and then.
- 1:42:31Speaker 6: Oh yeah, I led the league in receiving with the Browns.
- 1:42:34Speaker 6: But he but the reason why Josh Gordon's career went
- 1:42:36Speaker 6: off the rails because of what was.
- 1:42:37Speaker 4: Going on with But wouldn't you No, I agree, But
- 1:42:40Speaker 4: wouldn't you even say, like he never looked like that
- 1:42:43Speaker 4: guy when he played for the Patriots.
- 1:42:45Speaker 7: Oh yeah, the guy who played for Cleveland. Yeah, and
- 1:42:49Speaker 7: that's not just because he had like you know, issues
- 1:42:52Speaker 7: with marijuana.
- 1:42:53Speaker 6: Well yeah, but like he was away from football and
- 1:42:56Speaker 6: like you know, he was older once he got to
- 1:42:58Speaker 6: the Patriots.
- 1:42:59Speaker 4: No, I was definitely off field is the biggest reason
- 1:43:01Speaker 4: why his career.
- 1:43:02Speaker 6: I don't think he was. You know, it's kind of
- 1:43:03Speaker 6: like Deshaun Watson, like he just never recaptured it once
- 1:43:06Speaker 6: his life.
- 1:43:08Speaker 2: Don't close the book on that yet. He's in the mix.
- 1:43:10Speaker 1: Marry K.
- 1:43:10Speaker 4: Cabot says he emerges emerging from the spring is QB one.
- 1:43:14Speaker 6: I mean, when you're picking from a pile of stink?
- 1:43:18Speaker 9: Like, what about the the linebacker from UH got red
- 1:43:23Speaker 9: over by bow Brian Bryan Bosworth?
- 1:43:27Speaker 4: But was he ever really? He also got run over
- 1:43:30Speaker 4: by a boat, which is one of the most overrated
- 1:43:32Speaker 4: players ever, not because of bow, but like to make
- 1:43:35Speaker 4: fun of Bosworth.
- 1:43:36Speaker 2: He got run over by a boat.
- 1:43:38Speaker 4: I was like a boat.
- 1:43:39Speaker 2: Now, I know what you're talking about. I just thought
- 1:43:41Speaker 2: Fred said a boat.
- 1:43:42Speaker 4: I'm like a boat.
- 1:43:43Speaker 7: I mean, who's the most physical linebacker you can ever
- 1:43:46Speaker 7: think of. He's gonna end up in the end zone
- 1:43:47Speaker 7: in that play like he's on He's basically on the
- 1:43:51Speaker 7: goal line. And bo Jackson is a full head of
- 1:43:53Speaker 7: speed when he steam when he hits him.
- 1:43:58Speaker 4: Answer that trying to.
- 1:44:02Speaker 7: I think, I just think that the criticism Bosworth gets
- 1:44:05Speaker 7: on that is really over the Yeah, it's because he's
- 1:44:08Speaker 7: but it also ruined his career.
- 1:44:10Speaker 4: Yeah, he did a lot of things to ruin his
- 1:44:13Speaker 4: watch the documentary that was.
- 1:44:15Speaker 6: That's why ruined his career.
- 1:44:17Speaker 9: Line six Steven Toronto, what's up Steve Steven Toronto? No, okay,
- 1:44:26Speaker 9: Steve is gone. Line five it's Christian in l A.
- 1:44:32Speaker 7: Let's tell you guys, Hey, guys, hey, you guys.
- 1:44:36Speaker 16: On the draft really really quickly. To me, it's now
- 1:44:40Speaker 16: a wait and see thing. And and can you a
- 1:44:43Speaker 16: question for you guys? Can you say that it was
- 1:44:45Speaker 16: a bit or bad draft if you never hear the
- 1:44:48Speaker 16: name of any of your rookies during that season? I mean,
- 1:44:51Speaker 16: he was a bad draft. But but that's that's my question.
- 1:44:54Speaker 16: My statement was about Gronk, and I just wanted to
- 1:44:57Speaker 16: say what to me made Gronk such an amaze? Like
- 1:45:01Speaker 16: perfect Patriots. And the first thing that sticks out about
- 1:45:04Speaker 16: Gronk is he embodied like why you love football, and
- 1:45:08Speaker 16: not like the technical part of the guys can catch
- 1:45:11Speaker 16: and they have skill, but like the part when you
- 1:45:13Speaker 16: were a kid, right and like piling up on the
- 1:45:15Speaker 16: top of each other and you and your brothers getting
- 1:45:17Speaker 16: in there and going crazy and playing to you until
- 1:45:19Speaker 16: it's eleven o'clock at night. That's kind of Gronk for me.
- 1:45:22Speaker 16: And then the second thing is like people don't realize
- 1:45:26Speaker 16: how how how much, how tough he really was that
- 1:45:29Speaker 16: he started out with it with a hurt back, really
- 1:45:32Speaker 16: and was consistently banged up and I don't know what
- 1:45:35Speaker 16: people think when they go, oh, this guy's playing with
- 1:45:37Speaker 16: a storeback or a bad back, But unless you played
- 1:45:40Speaker 16: the sport, you don't really appreciate just how much he
- 1:45:44Speaker 16: went through to stay with the team and never, you know,
- 1:45:47Speaker 16: never a day without a smile, you know, never complained.
- 1:45:50Speaker 16: And then and then lastly for me, was in the
- 1:45:54Speaker 16: story of the Patriot dynasty. He was the perfect fit
- 1:45:59Speaker 16: to be like the into the yang of Bill Belichick's
- 1:46:02Speaker 16: like start you know, at to Cleveland sort of robotic things.
- 1:46:05Speaker 16: Then you had this like border collar energy of Gronk
- 1:46:08Speaker 16: opposite of him, and I just think it really helped
- 1:46:10Speaker 16: make the box of what made the dynasty so special
- 1:46:14Speaker 16: with Gronk a part of it. And my favorite Gronk
- 1:46:16Speaker 16: play to end it up wasn't even really on the field.
- 1:46:19Speaker 16: It was after Tom had retired and decided to come back,
- 1:46:23Speaker 16: and he does that commercial right, and he holds the
- 1:46:25Speaker 16: football up and they played the music and Gronk looks
- 1:46:29Speaker 16: back from the pastor and you know, so that comes running.
- 1:46:32Speaker 16: And I had wished so hard that year that they
- 1:46:34Speaker 16: somehow got Julian together and they all three were able
- 1:46:37Speaker 16: to sort of ride off into the Sunset together for
- 1:46:39Speaker 16: what they'd done for us. But that's the guys. I
- 1:46:42Speaker 16: love you, guys, love the show, and I'm looking forward
- 1:46:44Speaker 16: to a great year, no matter if the rookie player
- 1:46:46Speaker 16: or not.
- 1:46:46Speaker 2: So your favorite Gronk memories when he went to play
- 1:46:48Speaker 2: with Tom Brady and Tampa Bay.
- 1:46:51Speaker 16: My favorite membe of Gronk and the way I think
- 1:46:53Speaker 16: about Gronk's like effect on everybody, right, was you loved
- 1:46:56Speaker 16: him even though he went to go play with someone
- 1:46:58Speaker 16: else when you saw that commercial, so you know he
- 1:47:01Speaker 16: was coming back. You know, you know the guys are
- 1:47:02Speaker 16: going to get back together one more time. It was
- 1:47:05Speaker 16: like the Blues Brothers. You know, yes, you were rooting
- 1:47:07Speaker 16: for the Blues Brothers, right.
- 1:47:08Speaker 9: Because well no, I wasn't rooting for them, all right,
- 1:47:11Speaker 9: thanks question Edelman went with them.
- 1:47:13Speaker 5: I would have need to be like, I have a
- 1:47:16Speaker 5: Gronk Christmas ornament and then did not make it to
- 1:47:18Speaker 5: the tree that year, so we put it on.
- 1:47:20Speaker 2: But he's back on now.
- 1:47:21Speaker 6: But a year off of that, I had to follow
- 1:47:24Speaker 6: Tom Brady when he was playing for the Bucks.
- 1:47:26Speaker 17: What did you.
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: Followed him? I couldn't do it?
- 1:47:30Speaker 4: You too, what like you have a grand Christmas ornament.
- 1:47:34Speaker 4: I'm sorry, I know you don't do Christmas. You explain
- 1:47:37Speaker 4: that to me.
- 1:47:37Speaker 1: The order me one where we're spiking the ball, is
- 1:47:40Speaker 1: that the ornament? Yeah right, yeah, exactly.
- 1:47:44Speaker 5: I did a little I did a little short form
- 1:47:45Speaker 5: video where it's just like I think, I like it
- 1:47:47Speaker 5: was just the point of view of like taking the
- 1:47:48Speaker 5: ornament out and then like putting it back in the box.
- 1:47:51Speaker 2: This story not this year. Sorry, Gronk.
- 1:47:54Speaker 7: My favorite part of that call was people don't realize
- 1:47:56Speaker 7: that Gronk was tough. Yeah, that guy got pasted a lot.
- 1:48:00Speaker 2: People cried about the back injury. I mean that was,
- 1:48:02Speaker 2: you know, big part of why he.
- 1:48:03Speaker 4: Was and the essence of Bronk was how tough he was.
- 1:48:06Speaker 2: I wonder about how it is now the great.
- 1:48:07Speaker 4: Blocker, physical player overcame injuries.
- 1:48:10Speaker 5: That seems like the kind of thing that would really
- 1:48:13Speaker 5: haunt you later in life. You played NFL with back
- 1:48:16Speaker 5: injuries from the word go.
- 1:48:18Speaker 9: I mean you talk about a guy who could have
- 1:48:20Speaker 9: played in any generation. Yeah, Gronk could have played in
- 1:48:23Speaker 9: the nineteen twenties. You know, he was just just a
- 1:48:28Speaker 9: football Like he said, I want to be remembered as
- 1:48:30Speaker 9: a football player.
- 1:48:31Speaker 5: He was and I love some of the stories we've
- 1:48:33Speaker 5: heard now as he you know, is podcasting about how
- 1:48:37Speaker 5: because I always wondered, I mean, Gronk has a reputation
- 1:48:39Speaker 5: for being, eh, you know, kind of dumb. I mean
- 1:48:41Speaker 5: that's you know, let's just call it basically what it is.
- 1:48:44Speaker 5: But so much talk about people picking up Josh McDaniels system,
- 1:48:48Speaker 5: and you need to be smart and now you know,
- 1:48:49Speaker 5: you have to play with Brady, and Brady's very demanding.
- 1:48:51Speaker 5: And I love the Gronkowski stories that he tells now
- 1:48:53Speaker 5: about like how Brady was on him and the expectations
- 1:48:56Speaker 5: that Brady had for him, and you know, the moments
- 1:48:58Speaker 5: where he felt like he earned Brady's trust and being
- 1:49:00Speaker 5: in the right spot at the right time, and you
- 1:49:02Speaker 5: know how it didn't just magically happen that Gronk was.
- 1:49:04Speaker 7: Thank god he picked it up fast, because Brady would
- 1:49:07Speaker 7: have just put him on the back burner, thrown him
- 1:49:09Speaker 7: the ball.
- 1:49:09Speaker 4: He didn't.
- 1:49:10Speaker 6: He said that his rookie year, the reason why he
- 1:49:12Speaker 6: didn't play as much is because of the playbook. He
- 1:49:14Speaker 6: said that yesterday that he struggled with the playbook at first,
- 1:49:16Speaker 6: and I think that his you know, he's he mentioned
- 1:49:21Speaker 6: that he felt like he needed to get drafted into
- 1:49:23Speaker 6: place like the Patriots that.
- 1:49:24Speaker 4: Had purple and agree with christ I think that is
- 1:49:30Speaker 4: a perfect situation.
- 1:49:31Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't think he felt like he wouldn't have
- 1:49:34Speaker 6: been nearly as good if he went someplace like he
- 1:49:37Speaker 6: went to.
- 1:49:37Speaker 4: A real loose players coach, he may not have fulfilled
- 1:49:41Speaker 4: his potential.
- 1:49:42Speaker 6: Yeah. Yeah, now Bill definitely worked on him. But what
- 1:49:46Speaker 6: I love so much about hearing him tell stories is
- 1:49:48Speaker 6: like when I don't mean tell stories about some of
- 1:49:51Speaker 6: his good moments and stuff, like he knows that he
- 1:49:53Speaker 6: like kind of was like a dirt dog and had
- 1:49:56Speaker 6: to like earn everything. When Gronk does it, he's just like, yeah,
- 1:49:59Speaker 6: I was just better than that guy.
- 1:50:00Speaker 4: I threw him out the club.
- 1:50:02Speaker 10: Yeah, that's what I always think of with Gronk, Like
- 1:50:04Speaker 10: that's the first memory that pops into my mind.
- 1:50:06Speaker 6: I gave him out the club Brown.
- 1:50:08Speaker 5: I mean, is there you mean you around Sergio Brown
- 1:50:10Speaker 5: a little bit in the in the locker room, Paul
- 1:50:11Speaker 5: was or something that you could see that you could
- 1:50:13Speaker 5: see that that kind of attitude that you might want
- 1:50:15Speaker 5: to throw him out of the club if he was
- 1:50:16Speaker 5: on the other team.
- 1:50:18Speaker 7: Uh No, But I don't really talk about Sergio Brown.
- 1:50:21Speaker 7: There's another Huh, the guy who's runna follow the law.
- 1:50:25Speaker 2: Oh really, that's Google, that former former Indianapolis. Of course, he's.
- 1:50:31Speaker 4: Rumored to killed his mother. Oh god, yeah, bad stuff.
- 1:50:38Speaker 4: Sergio Brown he's accused of alleged.
- 1:50:42Speaker 1: Yeah, allegedly.
- 1:50:44Speaker 11: Uh.
- 1:50:44Speaker 6: Back to line six.
- 1:50:45Speaker 1: Steven Toronto's going to give it another shot. What's up?
- 1:50:48Speaker 6: Steve? Hey?
- 1:50:50Speaker 17: Hey a long time listener.
- 1:50:52Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:50:53Speaker 17: Last time I called it was twenty.
- 1:50:55Speaker 4: I think I remember.
- 1:50:57Speaker 6: Yeah, you weren't even dude.
- 1:51:01Speaker 4: How was that was?
- 1:51:01Speaker 1: Paul?
- 1:51:03Speaker 4: Paul was there? Unfortunately I have been at.
- 1:51:05Speaker 17: All of Okay, first, Uh, I was gonna say something negative,
- 1:51:11Speaker 17: but I don't have much time. So enough of that, Paul,
- 1:51:18Speaker 17: Thank you for everything. You guys have been so good.
- 1:51:21Speaker 17: I do miss big Head and Eric, but flowers to
- 1:51:28Speaker 17: our ball knower because the difference between the.
- 1:51:33Speaker 6: How do I say, uh, the actual football.
- 1:51:38Speaker 17: Recaps are like between like night and day, so props
- 1:51:43Speaker 17: to the ball noer and thank you, uh, thank you?
- 1:51:49Speaker 17: Or like how do I say bringing reality to this
- 1:51:56Speaker 17: wacky crew?
- 1:51:57Speaker 1: I think we're unrealistic.
- 1:52:00Speaker 17: H While I was going with wacky.
- 1:52:03Speaker 1: Wacky and alex Is and Wacky.
- 1:52:09Speaker 17: Also noticed that Fred is not in the gnome chair
- 1:52:14Speaker 17: right observation, and the deuce is now there, and he
- 1:52:19Speaker 17: does look smaller.
- 1:52:20Speaker 2: Yeah, we all look the same size.
- 1:52:21Speaker 4: I think it's we found Yeah, and a lot taller
- 1:52:24Speaker 4: than us.
- 1:52:25Speaker 17: I also noticed the day that what was going on
- 1:52:28Speaker 17: with Fred. He was wearing a tight T shirt in
- 1:52:30Speaker 17: his arms. He was all jacked, showing off the guns.
- 1:52:33Speaker 1: Oh that's why I had to wear a sweater. People
- 1:52:35Speaker 1: were scared. I was like frightening people.
- 1:52:39Speaker 17: Yeah, okay, anyway, I just want to say I love
- 1:52:42Speaker 17: you guys. I'm okay a little bit negative. I'm very
- 1:52:46Speaker 17: disappointed in Mike Vrabel, but I'll leave it at that
- 1:52:51Speaker 17: because I think he's hurt the team in credibility. I
- 1:52:53Speaker 17: hope he comes back stronger and better for everybody.
- 1:52:57Speaker 9: Okay, sounds good, Steve, good call, Thanks, thanks David, appreciate it.
- 1:53:02Speaker 1: Let's go to Eddie in Florida. What's up Eddie?
- 1:53:06Speaker 24: Hey guys, So you guys touched on the ugly Chicago
- 1:53:10Speaker 24: White Sox uniforms with their shorts. Don't forget their shirts
- 1:53:13Speaker 24: had collars, collars.
- 1:53:16Speaker 1: Cut up?
- 1:53:18Speaker 4: Yeah, what were they think?
- 1:53:19Speaker 6: I don't know what were they thinking that I knew
- 1:53:22Speaker 6: I loved Chris Hill.
- 1:53:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:53:25Speaker 24: A couple of other uniforms from the eighties that were
- 1:53:28Speaker 24: hidious was the horizontal stripes on the Astros and then
- 1:53:32Speaker 24: the Padres with the poop brown color bad.
- 1:53:36Speaker 4: But in general, the seventies base were great.
- 1:53:40Speaker 1: I hated the Pittsburgh Caps.
- 1:53:42Speaker 4: They were awesome, like those.
- 1:53:48Speaker 24: Awful quick Patriot comment. Yes, I think uh gabeis reminds
- 1:53:56Speaker 24: me of White, except with the leadership skills and a
- 1:54:00Speaker 24: great attitude, he could be a decent one.
- 1:54:01Speaker 1: We'll see everyone is comparing of the key on White.
- 1:54:05Speaker 6: It's disappointing me. Yeah, we know better, Yeah, more than
- 1:54:08Speaker 6: we need to know better, especially when I'm not even
- 1:54:11Speaker 6: a Yeah, you're not the same player at all.
- 1:54:14Speaker 1: Jose's in Texas online too, what's up, Jose?
- 1:54:18Speaker 22: Hey, guys, that was going good?
- 1:54:21Speaker 4: Right?
- 1:54:21Speaker 14: I really miss Paul and his shows. Anyways, about Kenny
- 1:54:27Speaker 14: Moore for a for a Patriot that got away, I
- 1:54:31Speaker 14: think he's pretty good on the codes.
- 1:54:34Speaker 4: Kenny Moore the corner good player.
- 1:54:36Speaker 6: Yeah, absolutely, he was one of the few of those,
- 1:54:39Speaker 6: like ud f A guys that Bill let Go that
- 1:54:42Speaker 6: ended up actually j Jones Hill.
- 1:54:46Speaker 7: Yeah, Hill had a pretty good career, mostly special teamer,
- 1:54:50Speaker 7: but he's more.
- 1:54:52Speaker 4: Kenny Moore is a good player.
- 1:54:53Speaker 6: Yeah, but I think it was between him and Jonathan
- 1:54:55Speaker 6: Jones and they packed. Jonathan Jones is also very good.
- 1:54:58Speaker 6: Say you can hang up relatively. Yeah, I don't know
- 1:55:00Speaker 6: if they were.
- 1:55:02Speaker 4: I can't argue with either one there.
- 1:55:03Speaker 6: Yeah, Tim Wrights and Andy Katzen.
- 1:55:06Speaker 9: Moore was the first round twenty eighth overall from Ohio
- 1:55:08Speaker 9: State who was a bus due to injury.
- 1:55:11Speaker 4: He was a bus.
- 1:55:12Speaker 1: He was a bus.
- 1:55:12Speaker 24: Yeah.
- 1:55:13Speaker 4: He was never good, right, but he was never good,
- 1:55:15Speaker 4: never came back.
- 1:55:16Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, he was.
- 1:55:17Speaker 7: That was my first introduction to Mike Rabel when because
- 1:55:21Speaker 7: they had played together at Ohio State and in two
- 1:55:25Speaker 7: thousand and one Mike came in as a free agent and.
- 1:55:29Speaker 4: The big Cat didn't show up a training camp.
- 1:55:32Speaker 6: He was a wall because he was mad about it.
- 1:55:34Speaker 7: And everybody's asking Mike Rabel about Andy Katson and he
- 1:55:39Speaker 7: was great. Rabel was like you'd think, like that's none
- 1:55:41Speaker 7: of my business, but like he was answered all the
- 1:55:43Speaker 7: questions and was that was uh.
- 1:55:46Speaker 4: James Pettick signed that he was a little different able.
- 1:55:49Speaker 6: James Pettigrew throws out Albert Hainsworth's today.
- 1:55:52Speaker 1: He was good. He just wasn't good when he was here.
- 1:55:54Speaker 6: Yeah, he was pretty good though.
- 1:55:57Speaker 4: I think he had a good enough career.
- 1:55:59Speaker 1: Yeah he was.
- 1:55:59Speaker 6: He we are really late in his career, like he
- 1:56:01Speaker 6: was already about that point.
- 1:56:04Speaker 1: Pat Nagawam about TV shows.
- 1:56:06Speaker 6: I can't believe Jacket and Arbor left off Hogan's Heroes
- 1:56:09Speaker 6: for the subject matter.
- 1:56:10Speaker 9: The show itself was pretty wholesome and innocuous. To this day,
- 1:56:13Speaker 9: I still quote Colonel Sheltz, I know nothing, see nothing.
- 1:56:17Speaker 12: Now.
- 1:56:17Speaker 9: I have a funny story about Hogan. You know, my
- 1:56:19Speaker 9: father was in World War Two and Korea and all
- 1:56:21Speaker 9: that stuff. So a bunch of us were in our
- 1:56:23Speaker 9: living room watching Hogan hero My father walks in and goes,
- 1:56:26Speaker 9: there's nothing funny about a German pow camp and just
- 1:56:29Speaker 9: walks out, and we're all like.
- 1:56:32Speaker 4: You know, that was a funny show.
- 1:56:37Speaker 6: Yeah, I've seen that one because my dad has watched
- 1:56:40Speaker 6: it on.
- 1:56:42Speaker 1: Yeahlink good acting. Bob Crane. Another weird guy Crane.
- 1:56:50Speaker 4: Uh I'm telling the kids to google a lot of
- 1:56:55Speaker 4: Bob Crane.
- 1:56:56Speaker 1: If you want to talk about a hosiery uh Z.
- 1:57:00Speaker 17: Jay.
- 1:57:00Speaker 9: I'm a huge gamer and I would recommend Fallout TV
- 1:57:03Speaker 9: shows on Prime Video very good, even if you don't
- 1:57:06Speaker 9: know anything about the game.
- 1:57:08Speaker 2: I think I watched the first Fallout pilot of that. Yeah,
- 1:57:11Speaker 2: I'm familiar with the game.
- 1:57:12Speaker 6: I'm not big on adaptations video games, but well, I can.
- 1:57:16Speaker 1: Tell you the Last of Us is excellent.
- 1:57:18Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 1:57:19Speaker 2: I didn't like the girl. Oh bothered me?
- 1:57:21Speaker 4: You don't like girls?
- 1:57:22Speaker 1: Which girl?
- 1:57:23Speaker 2: The lead girl, the Bella Ramsey?
- 1:57:25Speaker 18: Oh?
- 1:57:26Speaker 1: You like her?
- 1:57:26Speaker 2: I don't care for her.
- 1:57:27Speaker 1: Act on the Game of Throat?
- 1:57:29Speaker 2: Which one she's like the she's great In Game of Thrones,
- 1:57:32Speaker 2: I thought she was great.
- 1:57:33Speaker 5: She's the tough one, the young girl who's like green already,
- 1:57:37Speaker 5: She's great, good, And I.
- 1:57:39Speaker 2: Just didn't like her. And that's too bad. Yeah she's good,
- 1:57:43Speaker 2: Yeah great?
- 1:57:43Speaker 1: Yeah she was Okay.
- 1:57:44Speaker 2: I don't know a great character.
- 1:57:48Speaker 1: I don't have that whole storyline. But I'm waiting for
- 1:57:49Speaker 1: it to come back. Yeah, big season.

- 1:58:01Speaker 6: Read one episode and we both look at each other
- 1:58:05Speaker 6: and we're like, no.

- 1:58:17Speaker 4: There there are some really funny there are some flos,
- 1:58:20Speaker 4: but it's just too weird.
- 1:58:21Speaker 6: Like the first episode and he's like talking at the
- 1:58:24Speaker 6: neighbor and she's like way too young, and I was like,
- 1:58:27Speaker 6: this is just weird, Like I'm out like.
- 1:58:29Speaker 4: Nothing, and that was weird to me, just like the
- 1:58:33Speaker 4: audities of that show. That's nothing though, yea, yeah, well

- 1:59:00Speaker 7: very disappointing.
- 1:59:02Speaker 6: I mean, his fame, like Richard Sherman, is his getting
