Kris Leeper, a top senior and two-year starter for New Kent High School basketball, suffered a life-threatening car crash Monday night on Route 60 — but his seatbelt saved him. Conscious after the wreck, he called his parents before medics cut him free and airlifted him to Richmond. Surgeries followed, and now the entire Trojan Family is rallying around him, asking the community to donate to cover medical bills and food during his recovery — because when one of their own falls, they all rise to support.
