  Welcome to Nate's daily wager. I ain't picking winners, but I

  am making wagers. Time to put my money where my

  mouth is. This is Nate's daily wager for

  February 3rd, 2026. And well, can't go exactly as I

  was hoping last night. It started out bad, got worse,

  then I had a glimmer of hope, and then it's that hope that

  hope to get you just didn't come to fruition there at the end.

  So. But hey, press forward, lick our

  wounds, keep moving. So tonight, what do I do?

  I got to get out of a funk. We go over to something I know

  nothing about the hockey. All right, so tonight I saw this
• 0:47
  goalie matchup that's this is going at.

  I was looking at numbers, looking at the slate has nothing
• 0:51
  to do with anything other than the numbers and the goalies.

  In fact, I just realized as I'm talking here, I can't even
• 0:57
  remember who the teams are. So one minute is a pause.

  Ah yes, it's the Maple Leafs with an F for some reason and

  the Oilers. So we got a goalie that sucks, a

  goalie that's and a total sin at 6.5.

  Now the goalie that sucks. I was looking at his game logs

  and man, he likes giving up a lot of goals when he gets out
• 1:16
  there. There's a reason he hasn't
• 1:17
  played a lot this year, right? But when he does, he likes
• 1:20
  giving up four or five goals at a time.

  I think his best game, he gave up one, but that only happened
• 1:25
  once and I don't think that's going to happen again tonight,

  right? That's one of those outliers

  down at the bottom. So figuring it, he'll be there
• 1:32
  in the middle somewhere between 3:00 to 4:00, probably 4:00 to
• 1:35
  5:00 just on his own on the other side.

  You got a goalie, gives up two to three, three to four.

  Add those all up together, that gets you over 7, right?

  And it's 6 1/2. So I'm feeling good.

  I like rolling the dice here, although I am a little tempted,

  since all of that seems to be pointing in that direction, to

  take the under. I'm just going to go for the

  numbers are obviously pointing me and take the over.

  All right, so we're going over 6 1/2 total goals between Toronto
• 2:00
  and Edmonton in tonight's NHL hockey action.

  So anything better than that? Pound it.
