- 2:04Speaker 1: so thank you in thank you. Okay, so vibe chuck,
- 2:11Speaker 1: vib check. So any thoughts as we dive back into
- 2:15Speaker 1: the monumental dysfunction of these various and sundry couples.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Bad man. I was like catching up on these episodes
- 2:23Speaker 2: this weekend, and I was kind of like Teeter tottering
- 2:26Speaker 2: on this season of like, well is it going to
- 2:29Speaker 2: be the same old crab, like is it going to
- 2:31Speaker 2: be good? I'm watching this shit, I'm like this is
- 2:34Speaker 2: so beyond trashy, and I like that we're having new
- 2:38Speaker 2: couples too. Like I we still have the Merryfield, we
- 2:41Speaker 2: still have the Davis family, which I'm actually starting to like,
- 2:44Speaker 2: but like now we have these newer couples, I'm really
- 2:47Speaker 2: enjoying it.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Oh well, that's good. I'm sniffing some production stuff and so, like,
- 2:54Speaker 1: I know, I just I feel like it's just a
- 2:56Speaker 1: little bit too much production. I wish production would let
- 3:00Speaker 1: the people be who they truly are. And that kind
- 3:03Speaker 1: of takes us back to Teresa, the newest member of
- 3:06Speaker 1: the Davis family, and we did talk about this in
- 3:08Speaker 1: a previous episode, but she apparently came out on a
- 3:12Speaker 1: pod and said that she was an actual ass hoe
- 3:14Speaker 1: for like fourteen years, but TLC wouldn't let her share that.
- 3:18Speaker 1: In addition, she said that all those Davis ladies get
- 3:22Speaker 1: it on with each other and with Nick. Yeah, and
- 3:25Speaker 1: TLC doesn't want them to share that. Like ye, TLC,
- 3:28Speaker 1: for whatever reason, is super invested in these people being
- 3:33Speaker 1: polygamists right and not polyamorous right.
- 3:37Speaker 2: I'm not sure why they're so invested in that specific lifestyle,
- 3:42Speaker 2: but I will say even with that added production element,
- 3:45Speaker 2: for me, it makes it a little bit more entertainting
- 3:47Speaker 2: because then I'm like sussing out which ones are like
- 3:51Speaker 2: in it for the polyamory or which ones are actually
- 3:53Speaker 2: like polygamous. So I think it's kind of interesting to
- 3:56Speaker 2: like suspect it out. Whereas like with Seeking Brother Husband,
- 3:59Speaker 2: all all of those couples were polyamorous every single like,
- 4:03Speaker 2: they were not polyandrists whatsoever, and that was annoying because
- 4:08Speaker 2: it was just all a lie. Whereas I think with this,
- 4:11Speaker 2: I think there are some legit polygamous couples on this,
- 4:14Speaker 2: like the Merryfields, for some reason, you know what.
- 4:17Speaker 1: And that's my other takeaway, And I just I can
- 4:20Speaker 1: already tell you that I don't have the words. I
- 4:23Speaker 1: don't know how to articulate my deep abiding hatred for
- 4:29Speaker 1: Garrick Merryfield. It didn't help that he compared himself to
- 4:34Speaker 1: Jesus a couple of times in the first few episods,
- 4:38Speaker 1: or that he also brought up sperma and how sperm
- 4:41Speaker 1: is changing the biochemistry of women so that they can't
- 4:45Speaker 1: connect with other men after five partners because the sperm
- 4:49Speaker 1: has jacked them up and poisoned their brain. I'm just like,
- 4:52Speaker 1: this guy is over the top and the way that
- 4:54Speaker 1: he's just enveloping it in Christianity. Distasteful to me is
- 5:02Speaker 1: somebody who comes out of evangelical Christianity and like, I
- 5:05Speaker 1: still consider myself to be like a Christian for the
- 5:08Speaker 1: most party, Like he's just so odious and grotesque and
- 5:13Speaker 1: unattractive and pasty. And then there's Danielle bitch and I
- 5:18Speaker 1: know we're getting into it, but like, Danielle, what are
- 5:19Speaker 1: we doing here again?
- 5:21Speaker 2: I know, another.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Season with a new Brazilian and you're acting like you're
- 5:26Speaker 1: so happy about it, and then the minute this woman
- 5:29Speaker 1: gets around your husband, you're crying. Are we crying in
- 5:32Speaker 1: a closet? Danielle?
- 5:34Speaker 2: Why it's so crazy?
- 5:36Speaker 1: So I don't understand this woman. I can't stand that man. Yeah,
- 5:39Speaker 1: and those are my takeaways.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Well those are good takeaways based Yeah, all right, So
- 5:44Speaker 2: we'll get into this. We're recapping episode four. We will
- 5:47Speaker 2: talk about some of the things that happened in the
- 5:49Speaker 2: first three episodes, but we're just getting into the most
- 5:52Speaker 2: current episode. This week. We've got five thriple polycules, whatever
- 5:58Speaker 2: you want to call it, freaky dec family dynamics that
- 6:01Speaker 2: are going on right now, so freaky. We'll start with
- 6:05Speaker 2: the Davis family because we didn't see them this week. Yeah,
- 6:07Speaker 2: but we did see them in the first couple episodes.
- 6:10Speaker 2: So the Davis Family, for all of y'all who aren't aware,
- 6:13Speaker 2: we have Nick Davis, the unemployed philosopher and head of
- 6:17Speaker 2: this family, with his two wives, April and Jenny, who
- 6:24Speaker 2: work to provide his unemployed philosopher lifestyle. Yes, they all
- 6:30Speaker 2: sleep in the same uge.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Bed that can sleep like five six seven people.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Yes.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Now, last year we had a third wife. Yes, Danielle.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Her eyelashes were always I'm a jang as we say
- 6:44Speaker 1: in Hawaii. They were always nuts. So she's left, she's
- 6:47Speaker 1: had enough of these fools.
- 6:49Speaker 2: They broke up with her cordially according to them.
- 6:51Speaker 1: And so there's a spot available. I wonder what's gonna
- 6:53Speaker 1: happen Beach's.
- 6:55Speaker 2: And they found another sister wife only six months after
- 6:58Speaker 2: they broke things off with Danielle. They were with her
- 7:00Speaker 2: for like two years. Six months. They're like, we're ready
- 7:04Speaker 2: to get another woman.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Well, but it sounded like it was her, like she
- 7:07Speaker 1: was a self starter. She initiated the conversation, kind of
- 7:11Speaker 1: like Mormon polygamy where the woman has to come out
- 7:14Speaker 1: and say I want to be a part of your family.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Feels like Teresa was the one who said, Nick, Hood,
- 7:20Speaker 1: I've been looking at you for fourteen whole years. I've
- 7:23Speaker 1: been a hole the entire time. Apparently, apparently I have
- 7:25Speaker 1: been sexually attracted to you, Popa, and I want to
- 7:29Speaker 1: be a part of your family.
- 7:30Speaker 2: And so to get to know Teresa a little bit.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Apparently they were friends with her for many, many years.
- 7:35Speaker 2: They knew about her. She has lived polygamy before, so
- 7:39Speaker 2: she's been another in one of these other freaky relationships
- 7:42Speaker 2: in the past. Apparently it didn't work out. Teresa is
- 7:46Speaker 2: an HVAC technician but also an aspiring rapper based I
- 7:51Speaker 2: love it. This is really fucking funny to me, but whatever.
- 7:54Speaker 2: So she's super sexually attracted to Nick and apparently to
- 7:59Speaker 2: April and Jenny well, because she went on their podcast
- 8:01Speaker 2: saying that they all get freaky with each other, which
- 8:04Speaker 2: I do appreciate that honesty, because we have talked about
- 8:07Speaker 2: in our previous recaps of the show, like if y'all
- 8:10Speaker 2: sleeping in the same bed, like you're definitely all fucking right,
- 8:15Speaker 2: you're at.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Least touching, yeah, maybe on each other a little bit.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Like it's not like Nick is going from room to room.
- 8:24Speaker 1: You're all in the same bed. So there's boxes out right, Yeah, boxes.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Out, I mean boxes are full on out, and like, yeah,
- 8:32Speaker 2: they got the boom boom room where if they want
- 8:34Speaker 2: to have some private freaky time, I guess. But even then,
- 8:38Speaker 2: I'm like, I don't believe that. Maybe y'all are just
- 8:40Speaker 2: getting freaky in the big old bed whatever. Listen, I
- 8:45Speaker 2: don't mind them this season. Oh really, I'm like, okay,
- 8:48Speaker 2: you know what, Like they seem genuinely happy, like especially
- 8:51Speaker 2: April and Jenny. Jenny is pregnant with another baby girl.
- 8:55Speaker 2: She just had one of their other babies a couple
- 8:57Speaker 2: of years ago, a couple seasons ago, so she's pregnant again.
- 9:01Speaker 2: And they seem like they have like a decent dynamic.
- 9:05Speaker 2: And it makes sense now that we know that they're
- 9:08Speaker 2: all getting freaky with each other, Like the women are
- 9:10Speaker 2: benefiting in some other way besides from Nick's big old and.
- 9:15Speaker 1: His philosophy and his past life regressions and everything. Yeah.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Yeah, so I don't know, I don't mind them. Teresa's
- 9:24Speaker 2: kind of weird.
- 9:24Speaker 1: She's turbo weird, dude. She's very pushy. She is bordering
- 9:29Speaker 1: on a little creepy little bit. She's not overly sexualized
- 9:34Speaker 1: because I'm not a prude and I don't care, but
- 9:37Speaker 1: like she is very sexual, like so much so that
- 9:41Speaker 1: I think she's putting Nick off a little bit. God
- 9:44Speaker 1: Like Nick is coming across is kind of intimidated by
- 9:48Speaker 1: her and unsure about whether he wants. Everybody's unsure about
- 9:53Speaker 1: whether they want to be in this relationship. And my
- 9:55Speaker 1: question was, well, then why did you move the whole
- 9:58Speaker 1: ass woman and her.
- 10:00Speaker 2: And her son, I know, and like you started dating
- 10:03Speaker 2: her and I think they've only been together for like
- 10:05Speaker 2: fouri ish months or something like that. So then she's
- 10:08Speaker 2: already living with y'all weird, okay, And then we have
- 10:12Speaker 2: Nick going on a date with her, I think in
- 10:14Speaker 2: episode three, and he's looking fly at his suit.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Oh my god, I.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Was laughing so hard. I'm sorry, but he's just like
- 10:21Speaker 2: he gets dressed to the nines. He goes to the
- 10:24Speaker 2: restaurant with her, and he's like talking about, you know,
- 10:27Speaker 2: integrating her more into the family, and she's like, I'm
- 10:31Speaker 2: so into you and like I only want to be
- 10:34Speaker 2: with you, and like I'm ready and I'm down to
- 10:37Speaker 2: bring on another woman into this dynamic. And he's like, okay,
- 10:42Speaker 2: Like pump the brakes a little bit slow your role,
- 10:44Speaker 2: and then they have a hot tub scene because of course.
- 10:47Speaker 1: We got to have before we get to the hot tub.
- 10:50Speaker 1: We leave the restaurant and she picks his little body up. Oh,
- 10:53Speaker 1: I friend twirls him around.
- 10:55Speaker 2: God, because she's much taller than him, much taller, much
- 10:58Speaker 2: bigger in every way.
- 11:00Speaker 1: He's just like, I swear to God, he's afraid of her.
- 11:02Speaker 2: I think so. I think he's intimidated and she and
- 11:05Speaker 2: she's a lot like she's got a lot of energy
- 11:07Speaker 2: and everything. And so when they're in the hot tub
- 11:09Speaker 2: and they're talking about making sweet sweet love to each
- 11:12Speaker 2: other going to the boom boom room, we have like
- 11:14Speaker 2: a little interstitial with Nick, who's saying, like, you know,
- 11:17Speaker 2: Teresa's very into being into our family, and she seems
- 11:21Speaker 2: to be getting along with us, but like we're a
- 11:23Speaker 2: little hesitant, and I'm a little hesitant. And he says
- 11:26Speaker 2: specifically he's hesitant to be romantically involved with her, like
- 11:31Speaker 2: he's fine in the sexual department, like he's got no
- 11:34Speaker 2: problems with that, but he doesn't know if he's like
- 11:37Speaker 2: into her in a romantic relationship wifely way, which was
- 11:43Speaker 2: kind of interesting. Yeah, I'm wondering if this is gonna
- 11:45Speaker 2: be the first lady that they like just reject, and
- 11:47Speaker 2: they're like peace.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Well, like after their date, they come home and have
- 11:51Speaker 1: kind of a family meeting in which Teresa brings up
- 11:55Speaker 1: wanting to bring in already a fourth person, a woman,
- 12:00Speaker 1: so that she can marry this person and take on
- 12:03Speaker 1: the last name of Davis. And so it's giving Stalker
- 12:06Speaker 1: a little bit, it's giving them a little bit afraid
- 12:07Speaker 1: for my life right now, and we're trying to onboard
- 12:11Speaker 1: you and integrate you and your son into our family,
- 12:14Speaker 1: Like let's just maybe wait a little bit before we
- 12:16Speaker 1: get somebody else to come into the Yeah family. But
- 12:19Speaker 1: that is kind of a stark difference from what they
- 12:22Speaker 1: were doing last season, because last season they were really
- 12:25Speaker 1: pressuring Danielle, the third person who Teresa has replaced, into
- 12:30Speaker 1: getting a fourth person. So why are they so reticent?
- 12:33Speaker 1: I think the answer is they're just reticent about Teresa.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Yeah, and I mean with Danielle, like they had been
- 12:39Speaker 2: with her for a couple of years at that point,
- 12:41Speaker 2: so they had already established a rhythm, and so maybe
- 12:43Speaker 2: Nick was like, okay, like we're kind of ready to
- 12:45Speaker 2: have another person like you need to be on board
- 12:48Speaker 2: with it or not, And it seems like that's what happened.
- 12:51Speaker 2: It seems like Danielle was like, no, I wanted to
- 12:53Speaker 2: be the third and favorite wife. I'm out of here.
- 12:56Speaker 2: And like, honestly, Danielle was kind of flip flopping actually
- 13:00Speaker 2: last season, back and forth about if she wanted to
- 13:03Speaker 2: be in this family and if she wanted to do
- 13:05Speaker 2: this lifestyle and everything. I think she was intimidated. And
- 13:08Speaker 2: now the tables have turned, and now Nixon. It's kind
- 13:12Speaker 2: of great, it's kind of awesome. But I will say,
- 13:16Speaker 2: I don't mind these people. I'm not grossed out by Nick. Really,
- 13:19Speaker 2: I'm not even grossed out by the girls. It seems
- 13:21Speaker 2: like they have a situation and a dynamic that works
- 13:25Speaker 2: pretty good for everybody. It seems like their kids are
- 13:28Speaker 2: okay ish, you know. I don't know how it would
- 13:31Speaker 2: be to be a kid living in this dynamic with
- 13:33Speaker 2: their parents just all like fugging each other in the
- 13:36Speaker 2: same frightening.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I can't what happened to that dark haired from last
- 13:41Speaker 1: season that they were trying to incorporate into the family,
- 13:44Speaker 1: into the into the I'm sorry, into the hot tub
- 13:50Speaker 1: and everything. She also seemed very good. Remember, they were
- 13:54Speaker 1: pretending to kind of soft launch her as if they
- 13:57Speaker 1: just met her. But the dark somebody on Reddit through
- 14:00Speaker 1: Nick's instagram and saw pictures of the dark haired girl
- 14:03Speaker 1: from like four years ago. There's also pictures of Teresa
- 14:07Speaker 1: from a long time ago, which I think they tried
- 14:09Speaker 1: to preemptively get out in front of by saying we've
- 14:12Speaker 1: known her for fourteen years, which is why you've seen
- 14:15Speaker 1: pictures of her, which made me wonder whether they've actually
- 14:19Speaker 1: all been in a relationship polyamorous situation for a long time.
- 14:25Speaker 2: I don't know, and maybe they're just coming out for
- 14:27Speaker 2: tv FA.
- 14:29Speaker 1: This is what I mean when I'm like, I'm pucing
- 14:31Speaker 1: some producer stuff.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I could definitely see that, but you know what,
- 14:35Speaker 2: I'm personally not minding it.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:37Speaker 2: I think it's tragy. It's ridiculous. I love the hot
- 14:39Speaker 2: tub scenes with their big asses just in the water,
- 14:43Speaker 2: booty soup, bouncing on Nick and straddling his tiny little body.
- 14:48Speaker 2: I think it's really funny. I think it's really funny.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Oh man, all right, so we didn't see them this week.
- 14:55Speaker 2: So moving on to this current episode, we start with
- 15:00Speaker 2: our favorite The Merry fields, And just to recap everybody,
- 15:05Speaker 2: Garrick is a big fucking creep. He is a degenerate,
- 15:09Speaker 2: and he's got a fetish for Brazilian women for some reason.
- 15:13Speaker 2: He has had multiple failed relationships where he has brought
- 15:19Speaker 2: these women on k one visas. They take their money,
- 15:23Speaker 2: and then they properly go back to Brazil after they
- 15:26Speaker 2: realize that Garrek is a total fucking weirdo.
- 15:28Speaker 1: But and so is Danielle.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Oh, she's so fucking She's just as weird. She's just
- 15:33Speaker 2: as weird. And so the first three episodes were them
- 15:36Speaker 2: picking up their new Brazilian sister wife named Lorena, who's
- 15:42Speaker 2: another twenty something who doesn't speak a lick of English.
- 15:45Speaker 2: I mean she speaks a little bit like early anything.
- 15:48Speaker 2: They're using a fucking translator app again to talk to her,
- 15:52Speaker 2: and of course Garrick is so deeply in love with her.
- 15:56Speaker 2: He's already baptized her, he's already proposed to her.
- 16:00Speaker 1: So this is what it is. This is where I
- 16:02Speaker 1: get derailed that this man baptizes her in the Bahamas
- 16:08Speaker 1: and then promptly just shags the f out of her.
- 16:11Speaker 1: But like, how do you make this work?
- 16:12Speaker 2: Actually?
- 16:13Speaker 1: Because you've baptized her and then you've banged her. You
- 16:17Speaker 1: haven't married her yet. Why is that okay? Aren't you
- 16:20Speaker 1: supposed to marry them first and then bang them in
- 16:24Speaker 1: the eyes of God? Or is it because it's you, Garrick,
- 16:28Speaker 1: and you think you are your own personal Jesus that
- 16:31Speaker 1: you can just do whatever the heck you want to
- 16:33Speaker 1: do and it doesn't matter. It's like so to me,
- 16:35Speaker 1: like if you're really a Christian, though it's blasphemous, it
- 16:39Speaker 1: totally is heretical, Like yes, it's got to be based
- 16:42Speaker 1: like foundationally upon a scripture or something. And I get it.
- 16:46Speaker 1: There's a lot of polygamy in the Bible. There's a
- 16:48Speaker 1: lot of King David with his multiple wives in King
- 16:51Speaker 1: Solomon with his nine hundred concubines, and Father Abraham had
- 16:54Speaker 1: two wives and so on, a support like this is
- 16:56Speaker 1: a precedent that's in the Bible. But you have to
- 16:58Speaker 1: have like a foundational s ripture to justify the way
- 17:01Speaker 1: that you're doing it exactly. Just because you say that
- 17:04Speaker 1: God's cool with it. God's cool with it though, doesn't
- 17:08Speaker 1: mean that God's actually cool with it.
- 17:10Speaker 2: No, But like Grek is so fucking delusional, Like he
- 17:13Speaker 2: I think he has scripted all of this around biblical scripture,
- 17:18Speaker 2: fake scripture or whatever to try and convince Danielle to
- 17:21Speaker 2: be okay with it, because he's like, it's a religious
- 17:23Speaker 2: testimony that I need to cheat on you with Brazilian.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Women in their bikinis, like in their.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Bikinis, And like I think he has said before in
- 17:32Speaker 2: previous seasons that once he fucks them after baptizing them,
- 17:35Speaker 2: that means they're actually married. So that's what he thinks,
- 17:38Speaker 2: Like he thinks that they're already married. And so now
- 17:40Speaker 2: that he's bringing Lorena back to the States on a
- 17:43Speaker 2: K one visa, then they have ninety days to like
- 17:45Speaker 2: actually legally solidify it and then it'll be legit for real.
- 17:50Speaker 1: But if you're an actual Christian, and so maybe that's
- 17:52Speaker 1: the question, like do we think Grek thinks he's a Christian?
- 17:55Speaker 1: If you're an actual Christian, aren't you a little bit
- 17:58Speaker 1: worried about doing it the wrong way? You're on a
- 18:01Speaker 1: national television show telling people that this is the way
- 18:05Speaker 1: that God wants it, Like you're leading people astray, Like
- 18:08Speaker 1: you should be afraid if you're really a Christian. Oh,
- 18:11Speaker 1: I agree with you in my opinion.
- 18:12Speaker 2: One hundred percent. I think he's just full on cope
- 18:15Speaker 2: because he's just so horny, like he just wants to
- 18:18Speaker 2: fuck anybody other than Dan Yelle, and that's what's so
- 18:20Speaker 2: crazy about it. And then he has this delusional stuff
- 18:24Speaker 2: about sperm, like he said it was in like episode
- 18:27Speaker 2: three or something, where he said, if a woman has
- 18:30Speaker 2: more than five male partners, she's too full of sperm
- 18:34Speaker 2: and therefore can't connect with anybody on an emotional level
- 18:38Speaker 2: anymore because the sperm is just rotted her brain. And
- 18:41Speaker 2: I'm like, this is what is this?
- 18:42Speaker 1: What?
- 18:43Speaker 2: You really?
- 18:43Speaker 1: How convenient though? Right? A guy can just jizz up
- 18:47Speaker 1: the joint, right, he can just spray it wherever he wants.
- 18:49Speaker 1: He's never going to be affected or overwhelmed by the sperm. Yeah,
- 18:53Speaker 1: But if it's a woman and where the receptacle for
- 18:55Speaker 1: this sperm, somehow the sperm integrates into our consciousness and
- 18:59Speaker 1: contaminating so that we can only ever sleep with five
- 19:02Speaker 1: or less people. That sounds great for you, Garrick.
- 19:05Speaker 2: I remember texting you over the weekend like you're too
- 19:07Speaker 2: full of sperm because I don't want five partners, that's.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Why I can't connect. I can't connect to anything, barely
- 19:14Speaker 1: tethered to this reality. All the ches up in me
- 19:18Speaker 1: and in my brain.
- 19:20Speaker 2: I'm laughing about it because it's just so absolutely absurd,
- 19:23Speaker 2: but like this guy genuinely thinks it. And so then
- 19:26Speaker 2: when we see them this week in episode four, we
- 19:28Speaker 2: have Lorena. She's already established, like their sight seeing around
- 19:33Speaker 2: beautiful and Danielle pronounces it wrong. She goes Buena one
- 19:38Speaker 2: of this stuff. Yeah, it's Buena vi stuff or whatever,
- 19:41Speaker 2: their sight seeing around their town that they're in. And
- 19:44Speaker 2: Lorena is totally in culture shock because she's from Rio
- 19:48Speaker 2: de Janeiro, where everything is completely compact and like you
- 19:52Speaker 2: have access to all of this shopping and the beaches
- 19:54Speaker 2: and like all of this culture and liveliness, and you're
- 19:57Speaker 2: in fucking the middle of Buena Vistack, Colorado.
- 20:00Speaker 1: You're in Whiteyville.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Yeah, she's worried because she's not saying a lot of
- 20:05Speaker 2: people of color and that's really concerning.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Valid.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Is Garrek concerned about that, No, because he just wants
- 20:12Speaker 2: to book her and that's all he cares.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Yeah, but they're all nice, though, don't worry about it,
- 20:15Speaker 1: don't worry. Yeah, everybody's white, Yeah, absolutely, Yeah, they're all great.
- 20:18Speaker 1: They can't love you, don't worry about it.
- 20:20Speaker 2: And so as we're sight seeing around their town, we
- 20:23Speaker 2: actually learned that Garrick is fifth or sixth generation when
- 20:28Speaker 2: a vistain, so like his family came over here as
- 20:32Speaker 2: miners and a minor as miners, and they like established
- 20:39Speaker 2: basically helped establish the town. And so his family has
- 20:42Speaker 2: been here for generation upon generation. And they're like traveling
- 20:45Speaker 2: around the streets and Danielle's like, oh, yeah, Garrick's family lives.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Down this way but settled this town.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Yeah, which is crazy. And apparently Garrick's family has completely
- 20:55Speaker 2: disowned him because he's a degenerate.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Free because he's a polygamist. And then here a Derek
- 21:02Speaker 1: compares himself to Jesus, like his hometown doesn't accept him,
- 21:05Speaker 1: just like Jesus when Jesus said a prophet, it's never
- 21:08Speaker 1: accepted in his hometown.
- 21:12Speaker 2: I was goffawing when I watched that this morn. I'm like,
- 21:15Speaker 2: oh my god, this guy again. He's done this multiple times.
- 21:19Speaker 2: He thinks he's God, And I mean, really though, Like
- 21:22Speaker 2: you're in this mansion, you're siphoning all this money from
- 21:25Speaker 2: your wife's family business, and this construction business which we've
- 21:29Speaker 2: talked about on previous recaps and everything, and like, you
- 21:32Speaker 2: have this delusional wife who is going along with your
- 21:36Speaker 2: crazy cheating scam of you getting to spend all of
- 21:41Speaker 2: this money flying out these Brazilian babes.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Getting them their visas, which is like tens, multiple tens
- 21:47Speaker 1: of thousands of dollars, not to mention you traveling to Brazil, Brazil,
- 21:50Speaker 1: going to the Bahamas, all.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Of that that that entails, and she's just going along
- 21:54Speaker 2: with it because you said that it's from God, and
- 21:56Speaker 2: like he probably does think he's a god because he's
- 22:00Speaker 2: able to do all of this, and that's what's so crazy.
- 22:03Speaker 2: I think that's crazy.
- 22:04Speaker 1: I feel like they're sex traffickers, and I think Danielle
- 22:09Speaker 1: is a co sex trafficker. She's the Gallain Maxwell of
- 22:12Speaker 1: this whole operation. I mean, yeah, I feel like you're
- 22:14Speaker 1: sex trafficking women into the United States and or you're
- 22:18Speaker 1: trying to. Like I feel like there's some criminality that's
- 22:21Speaker 1: actually involved here, and I think that you guys are wicked. Yeah, Danielle,
- 22:26Speaker 1: I'm not buying it, honey. I just feel like you
- 22:29Speaker 1: have no self esteem, no self worth, and I think
- 22:31Speaker 1: a lot of us can relate to that. But you're
- 22:33Speaker 1: also wicked if you're abetting your husband in sex trafficking
- 22:37Speaker 1: women to the United States so we can bang them
- 22:40Speaker 1: and then discard them.
- 22:41Speaker 2: I mean, that's what it's giving because like you bring
- 22:43Speaker 2: like you're bringing them from this very specific country. Is
- 22:46Speaker 2: the area of the world. They're all in a very
- 22:48Speaker 2: specific age demographic. They're all in their like early to
- 22:52Speaker 2: mid twenties, and Garrey's like, what approaching forty? Like, hey,
- 22:57Speaker 2: and dude, this guy every interstitial that we have with
- 23:00Speaker 2: him where he's like standing candidly like he's got his
- 23:03Speaker 2: big old billy vacant stare. I can't.
- 23:09Speaker 1: All he cares about is his dick. He's completely and
- 23:12Speaker 1: thoroughly animated by his little man dick.
- 23:16Speaker 2: It's wild and like, what's even crazier for me about
- 23:20Speaker 2: the Meryfields is Danielle's family because you can see, like
- 23:23Speaker 2: Danielle's brother has met all of these Brazilian women, and
- 23:27Speaker 2: every time we see him on this show, he looks
- 23:31Speaker 2: so dejected and he looks so like what the fuck
- 23:34Speaker 2: am I even doing here? Like he looks at Garrick
- 23:37Speaker 2: like he's a total freak. Because he is, and nobody
- 23:40Speaker 2: approves of his lifestyle, but they're all like pretending for
- 23:43Speaker 2: the cameras or like maybe they're pretending for the sake
- 23:45Speaker 2: of Danielle, but it's just like.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Her brother. Sam has also hitched his business wagon to
- 23:52Speaker 1: Garrick and they are in business together, and one of
- 23:55Speaker 1: Sam's chief concerns is the fact that Garrek is such
- 23:58Speaker 1: a fool. He won't get a proper prenup, he won't
- 24:01Speaker 1: consult with an attorney, he won't get the proper paperwork.
- 24:04Speaker 1: He's up on legal Zoom or whatever trying to figure
- 24:08Speaker 1: out his own paperwork. So he's going to fuck it up,
- 24:10Speaker 1: which means that Sam, who is in a partnership with him,
- 24:14Speaker 1: stands to have his entire business screwed with because if
- 24:17Speaker 1: something happens to Grek, well, Garek has divorced Danielle, so
- 24:20Speaker 1: Danielle is not going to inherit the business. His current
- 24:24Speaker 1: chippy from Brazil is going to inherit the business, and
- 24:27Speaker 1: that would be Lorena. So where does that leave Sam. Like,
- 24:31Speaker 1: Grek doesn't care about anybody but in himself. This is
- 24:34Speaker 1: why I don't think he's an actual Christian, because real
- 24:36Speaker 1: Christians are supposed to be motivated by love and care
- 24:39Speaker 1: and compassion for others. I know that's rare, but that's
- 24:42Speaker 1: what it's supposed to be. Yeah, and he's not giving
- 24:44Speaker 1: any of that. And then there's Danielle's weird parents who
- 24:47Speaker 1: are also living with her, so they have to pretend
- 24:51Speaker 1: that this is okay. And then there are the two sons.
- 24:54Speaker 2: I know those kids. It's so crazy. Like the earlier seasons,
- 24:58Speaker 2: these kids were a lot younger, and we've talked about
- 25:00Speaker 2: like how it's kind of worries and that they're experiencing
- 25:03Speaker 2: this and they're watching their dad act this way. But
- 25:05Speaker 2: now they're in their teenagehood, approaching young adulthood, and they're
- 25:09Speaker 2: just going to emulate. They're just going to follow their
- 25:12Speaker 2: father's footsteps. And it's so gross. So then we move
- 25:15Speaker 2: on to a few of our newer couples or newer throubles.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Heit we didn't get to the closet. Do we want
- 25:22Speaker 1: to talk about the closet? Move into the room?
- 25:24Speaker 2: That is the this is the problem.
- 25:27Speaker 1: I don't care they were moving Lorena into the closet
- 25:31Speaker 1: because she's here to take up space. Danielle, did you
- 25:34Speaker 1: not know that that's not part of your consciousness. Well,
- 25:36Speaker 1: we were inviting this young woman over to your house
- 25:38Speaker 1: that she's now going to have to live in your house,
- 25:41Speaker 1: and so we're making some space for Lorena in the
- 25:44Speaker 1: walking closet, and Danielle predictably insufferably stoodscre I know, like
- 25:51Speaker 1: as if she couldn't anticipate that this was going to happen.
- 25:55Speaker 1: And then Danielle sleeps with Garrick on her birthday, and
- 25:58Speaker 1: then the next night it Lorena's turn to sleep with Garret,
- 26:02Speaker 1: and we've got this shot of Danielle in the sister
- 26:05Speaker 1: wife room, all forlorn and sad because Derek is totally
- 26:10Speaker 1: banging out Lorena's back and she knows it. But like
- 26:13Speaker 1: at this point, Danielle, you deserve it. You get what
- 26:16Speaker 1: you settle for. You're a Galaine Maxwell sex trafficker. I
- 26:20Speaker 1: have no sympathy for you. Your tears are lost on me.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Your I mean really like they've been doing this for
- 26:26Speaker 2: I think they said six years now, so like they've
- 26:28Speaker 2: been doing it with We've seen it obviously, we've seen
- 26:30Speaker 2: it with Natalia, We've seen it with Roberta, and now
- 26:33Speaker 2: we have Lorraine. And you're gonna cry each and every
- 26:36Speaker 2: fucking time that you have to move out of Garret's
- 26:38Speaker 2: room into the sister room. That's literally what you built
- 26:40Speaker 2: your house forbody feel sorry for you are? We are.
- 26:46Speaker 2: I don't feel sorry at all.
- 26:47Speaker 1: I don't feel sorry for you at all.
- 26:49Speaker 2: I used to in the earlier seasons when this first happened.
- 26:52Speaker 2: She's a predator, she was adjusting to it. But now
- 26:54Speaker 2: it's like, this is a pattern, this is something that
- 26:57Speaker 2: your husband has a fetish for.
- 26:59Speaker 1: I can't tell me she don't want to eat the
- 27:01Speaker 1: box too. You can't tell me she don't want her
- 27:04Speaker 1: box it. I feel I believe there are some either
- 27:07Speaker 1: subconscious or conscious conscious impulses for that as well. So
- 27:12Speaker 1: she wants to connect his sisters, but also as sisters.
- 27:16Speaker 2: I think so because she's probably not getting anything really
- 27:19Speaker 2: from Garrick, and why would.
- 27:20Speaker 1: You even want it?
- 27:22Speaker 2: I do it. I feel like I have a theory
- 27:24Speaker 2: that once these Brazilians come to America and they have
- 27:27Speaker 2: to like actively like live with Garrick and have sex
- 27:31Speaker 2: with him, like multiple times, they start getting super grossed
- 27:34Speaker 2: out and they're like, I can't do this, not for.
- 27:36Speaker 1: All the money in the world, not for money, not
- 27:42Speaker 1: for my family. Not for anything. I mean, would you No.
- 27:46Speaker 2: I would rather have like an eighty five year old man,
- 27:49Speaker 2: like being a sugar baby to an eighty five year
- 27:51Speaker 2: old man, oh wrinkly, im pruney right than Garrick Mary.
- 27:55Speaker 1: I would rather shove a chopstick right into my elbow
- 27:59Speaker 1: too and in my ear. Makuder, that absolutely not.
- 28:04Speaker 2: I agree, all right. So now moving on to the
- 28:08Speaker 2: newer thriple polly cles or whatever that we're getting this season.
- 28:12Speaker 2: We have, first off, Matt and Angelica Johnson, who are
- 28:16Speaker 2: from Rhode Island. Yeah, and just to recap from the
- 28:19Speaker 2: first couple episodes, they have lived together for fifteen years,
- 28:23Speaker 2: but I've only been married for five. They have two
- 28:26Speaker 2: kids together. Angelica was actually the one that initiated the
- 28:30Speaker 2: sister wife dynamic. It kind of was giving to me,
- 28:33Speaker 2: like she was over having sex with her husband or
- 28:36Speaker 2: something and was like, dude, I cannot be your one
- 28:38Speaker 2: and only all the time, Like, let's get you some
- 28:41Speaker 2: other women to fuck so I can have a break.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Well, for me, it was giving. I have no friends
- 28:47Speaker 1: and I would really like to have a girlfriend, not
- 28:50Speaker 1: necessarily a sexual one, although the jury's out, but like
- 28:53Speaker 1: I just don't have any friends. And I've got these
- 28:56Speaker 1: two kids and this big, bulbous man that I'm married to.
- 28:59Speaker 1: It'd be great to just have a friend. And so
- 29:02Speaker 1: that was her motivation.
- 29:03Speaker 2: That's what I thought, Yeah, I can see that too,
- 29:05Speaker 2: And so she gave Matt kind of the initiative to
- 29:08Speaker 2: go on the apps and go on the prowl and
- 29:11Speaker 2: start dating other people. And so then they ended up
- 29:14Speaker 2: meeting this chick named Shane who has been their current
- 29:18Speaker 2: girlfriend for the last couple years. She lives kind of
- 29:21Speaker 2: far away from them, so every time Matt it connects
- 29:26Speaker 2: with her, he has to like get a hotel with her,
- 29:28Speaker 2: like she's like some hooker. It's kind of weird, but
- 29:31Speaker 2: they've been together for about a couple of years. She's
- 29:34Speaker 2: really good friends with Angelica, and they seem to have
- 29:37Speaker 2: a pretty good dynamic. But SIT's getting a little dicey
- 29:42Speaker 2: because Shaney wants more of a connection with Matt and
- 29:47Speaker 2: obviously wants to be more like a girlfriend to him
- 29:50Speaker 2: than like a rather than a hookup that he just
- 29:53Speaker 2: comes and sees whenever he has time for. And so
- 29:56Speaker 2: then in this current episode, we get more information from Shane,
- 30:02Speaker 2: so Snee ends up driving over to their house to
- 30:05Speaker 2: discuss the relationship. She kind of talked about it with
- 30:08Speaker 2: matt in the previous episode, she's like, I just want more.
- 30:11Speaker 2: In this episode, she has an interestedial where she's like,
- 30:14Speaker 2: you know, it would be better if like he could
- 30:16Speaker 2: just I don't know, give me a good morning text
- 30:18Speaker 2: or something or like senbdy some flow.
- 30:19Speaker 1: He's not even texting her, like there's no connection, no communication.
- 30:25Speaker 1: He's just like, hey, I can meet you at the
- 30:26Speaker 1: Motel six at ten pm. Let's bang it out. Yeah,
- 30:29Speaker 1: And that's all she's getting. Seems like the underlying reason
- 30:33Speaker 1: she's showing up this morning for this scene is because
- 30:36Speaker 1: she wants to tell them something that they don't know.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Whiches that she has met somebody else bikes, some guy
- 30:43Speaker 1: who is asking her not to continue her physical relationship
- 30:46Speaker 1: at this time with Matthew while they are exploring whatever
- 30:50Speaker 1: it is that they are and where it's going to go.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Shne has agreed to that and is breaking the news
- 30:56Speaker 1: to Matthew and Angelica that she's found somebody else. And
- 30:59Speaker 1: she's very interested in this scene to see how Matthew reacts,
- 31:04Speaker 1: and initially his reaction is very subdued. It's not that
- 31:08Speaker 1: he doesn't care, but it's almost like he's like, eh, well, okay,
- 31:12Speaker 1: well we'll work it out. As long as I can
- 31:14Speaker 1: continue to meet you at the Motail six at ten
- 31:15Speaker 1: pm every other Wednesday, I'll be fine. But it's not
- 31:18Speaker 1: gonna be able to work that way because she's setting
- 31:21Speaker 1: this boundary of well, we can't have sex in the meantime.
- 31:25Speaker 1: And then he's like, well, fuck that guy, fuck that guy, yeah,
- 31:27Speaker 1: fuck him, And then he gets mad.
- 31:29Speaker 2: Yeah, he also gets mad that he learned that Shane
- 31:33Speaker 2: and the other guy are having sex too, like they
- 31:35Speaker 2: have become intimate at this point, and so now like
- 31:38Speaker 2: the guy is like, well, if we're going to continue
- 31:40Speaker 2: this relationship, you need to stop fucking Matt. And that's
- 31:43Speaker 2: where Matt starts getting mad because he's like possessive over Shane.
- 31:47Speaker 1: So I wish TLC would go into deeper reasons for
- 31:53Speaker 1: polygamy here, like why is it okay for just Matt
- 31:57Speaker 1: to bang?
- 31:57Speaker 2: I know, yeah, why.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Can't Angelica bang? Or can she? And maybe she chooses
- 32:02Speaker 1: not to because, like you said, she's just tired of
- 32:04Speaker 1: servicing Matt and like, go date whoever you want. And
- 32:06Speaker 1: it does sound like he's been on the apps and
- 32:09Speaker 1: he's been dating other people, but Angelica hasn't. And now
- 32:12Speaker 1: is that because he's like, no, only I can. Yeah,
- 32:16Speaker 1: because he gets mad and he gets territorial when she's like, yeah,
- 32:19Speaker 1: I did sleep with this other person and I can't
- 32:21Speaker 1: sleep with you, and that's the thing that tips him
- 32:23Speaker 1: over into emotion. Yeah. But I'm just like, what kind
- 32:26Speaker 1: of self respecting woman is in a relationship with the
- 32:29Speaker 1: guy who feels like he can go out bang whoever
- 32:32Speaker 1: he wants, but then you have to sit home with
- 32:34Speaker 1: the kids and you can't date too.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Yeah that makes no sense unless she wants that, Like,
- 32:38Speaker 2: unless she's just like I'm over it, Like I'm just
- 32:41Speaker 2: gonna be a mom. Let me just have a friend,
- 32:42Speaker 2: Like I don't care.
- 32:43Speaker 1: But it's all these new women, right, all of them
- 32:45Speaker 1: are agreeing to this, And my question is why.
- 32:48Speaker 2: See that's where it's like there's some producer fakery. Yeah,
- 32:51Speaker 2: for Matt and Angelica, I could see a world where
- 32:54Speaker 2: like maybe they're swingers or something. Maybe she hooks up
- 32:58Speaker 2: with uh sane every once in a while. Maybe it's
- 33:01Speaker 2: not all the time.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Let's talk about right, Like, let's not pretend that this
- 33:05Speaker 1: is a valid reason to have this arrangement without talking
- 33:09Speaker 1: about it. More like, is there a religious component at
- 33:11Speaker 1: least with fake assho ask Garrik. He's pretending he's a
- 33:15Speaker 1: Christian and God is telling him to do this. But
- 33:17Speaker 1: like with these other couples, I'm just like, so the
- 33:19Speaker 1: guys just get to go out and screw whoever they want,
- 33:23Speaker 1: and the women are just like, oh, well, I'm gonna
- 33:25Speaker 1: stay them with the kids and just get jealous.
- 33:27Speaker 2: I guess well, And like with some of these other couples,
- 33:29Speaker 2: it's definitely like the man is the one that's suggesting
- 33:32Speaker 2: it because he wants to cheat, and so he wants
- 33:34Speaker 2: a vehicle to be able to cheat in a ethical way.
- 33:38Speaker 2: With this couple, it's weird because Angelica is the one
- 33:41Speaker 2: that's initiated it, and she was the one that was like,
- 33:44Speaker 2: get on the apps, like I don't care what you do.
- 33:46Speaker 2: We have like no boundaries. Like she seems very lax
- 33:49Speaker 2: about it. So it's kind of giving to me like
- 33:52Speaker 2: swinger vibes. And maybe she gets into it every now
- 33:55Speaker 2: and then, but she's like kind of whatever about it us.
- 34:00Speaker 1: All I know is when Shane leaves, Angelica's really upset
- 34:03Speaker 1: and she's like, Matt, you're gonna have to do something,
- 34:06Speaker 1: and to the camera, she's like crying. She's like, I
- 34:09Speaker 1: just don't know what my life's going to be like
- 34:12Speaker 1: without Shane, Like she's my friend, I care about her,
- 34:15Speaker 1: and I'm just like, Okay.
- 34:16Speaker 2: Maybe you meet the box Sammon in the box?
- 34:18Speaker 1: Is there a box out every now and again? We'll
- 34:20Speaker 1: get in the boxes? I wondering.
- 34:22Speaker 2: I just some bicxical fub maybe I could see that.
- 34:26Speaker 1: I could see that too, but let's talk about it.
- 34:28Speaker 1: That would make this infinitely more interesting.
- 34:31Speaker 2: I agree completely. Next couple that we have is Billie
- 34:37Speaker 2: Jean and Reese just hands.
- 34:41Speaker 1: That's all same theater kids.
- 34:44Speaker 2: Yeah, and choir kids. They're from Indiana, flamboyant, very Reese
- 34:49Speaker 2: is very flamboyant. So they've been together for about seven
- 34:52Speaker 2: years but married for four. They have a couple of
- 34:54Speaker 2: kids together. They met in high school theater choir or something,
- 34:59Speaker 2: and it's really giving theater kids, Like I can I can't,
- 35:03Speaker 2: but Rees seems kind of nice.
- 35:05Speaker 1: I guess he seems gay, honey, Let's not pretend that
- 35:10Speaker 1: we're not a little gay.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Many seems really and that's whare I love gay people?
- 35:16Speaker 2: Look and he even says that he's like people always
- 35:18Speaker 2: assume that I'm gay, and even like Billy Jean's like,
- 35:21Speaker 2: you know, he's just kind of got a flamboyant personality,
- 35:24Speaker 2: and I'm actually the one that's pretty spicy. He's very
- 35:27Speaker 2: vanilla when it comes to things. She says she wants
- 35:31Speaker 2: this because she had a lot of trouble conceiving and
- 35:36Speaker 2: actually had to go through IVF to have their kids together.
- 35:38Speaker 2: She wants a big family and she thinks that the
- 35:41Speaker 2: only way to do that is to have sister wives,
- 35:44Speaker 2: where Reese apparently jess Is and all these women and
- 35:48Speaker 2: has kids with all of them. So what's what it's
- 35:52Speaker 2: giving to me is I'm wondering if she's like a
- 35:56Speaker 2: dominatrix type of thing. Maybe she's like super super like
- 36:01Speaker 2: dominant in the bedroom, and maybe that's why Reese is
- 36:03Speaker 2: kind of and like maybe she pegs it.
- 36:08Speaker 1: It doesn't seem like he really wants to do this.
- 36:11Speaker 1: It seems like he's doing it for her.
- 36:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:14Speaker 1: Furthermore, it doesn't seem like a very wise choice to
- 36:17Speaker 1: like onboard a bunch of other women who are then
- 36:21Speaker 1: gonna be concubines and have the children of Reese who
- 36:24Speaker 1: doesn't really want to do this, And so if he
- 36:26Speaker 1: doesn't really want to do this, in that relationship is
- 36:28Speaker 1: not likely going to last, which means those children are
- 36:31Speaker 1: just going to be taken away from you. So, like,
- 36:33Speaker 1: I don't understand why you wouldn't just want to adopt,
- 36:35Speaker 1: because it seemed to me your premise was you wanted
- 36:38Speaker 1: more kids, but you can't have them. Well, you could
- 36:40Speaker 1: always foster, you could always adopt. There's other things that
- 36:43Speaker 1: you can do instead of bringing in additional women. Unless
- 36:46Speaker 1: you're a little bit of the lis be honest. Let's
- 36:49Speaker 1: be honest with each other. That's what it is.
- 36:52Speaker 2: Yeah, And that's the thing. So when I was watching them,
- 36:54Speaker 2: that was my whole vibe. I'm like, she's in it
- 36:57Speaker 2: for some sexual gain or something, because she had literally
- 37:00Speaker 2: said I think it was on the first episode, like
- 37:02Speaker 2: I'm more adventurous when it comes to sex. I'm like
- 37:05Speaker 2: super spicy and I like I'm very kinky and he's
- 37:08Speaker 2: very vanilla, and like I'm gonna have to be the
- 37:11Speaker 2: one that is like his wingwoman and like try and
- 37:14Speaker 2: get these women to date him and stuff because he's
- 37:16Speaker 2: so like weird. It's like kind of the subtext that like,
- 37:20Speaker 2: women aren't going to be into him.
- 37:22Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 37:23Speaker 2: They're kind of an odd dynamic. Well, and I'm.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Already bored though, because every single scene with them is
- 37:28Speaker 1: them just telling other people that they're polygamist or that
- 37:31Speaker 1: they're seeking a sister wife. And like we've done this
- 37:33Speaker 1: for Molly and time couple of seasons with Cody Brown
- 37:36Speaker 1: and his family telling everybody and their brother that they're polygamists.
- 37:40Speaker 1: And we saw this in poly Family, which was a
- 37:43Speaker 1: terrible show. But like they were constantly telling their family
- 37:46Speaker 1: that they are or the yoga studio person that they
- 37:49Speaker 1: were poly Like nobody, nobody can. I don't care r
- 37:52Speaker 1: And so if every single scene we have is you
- 37:54Speaker 1: breaking the news to the new person in the gardens
- 37:56Speaker 1: center that you're gonna seek a sister wife, then I'm
- 37:59Speaker 1: out with.
- 37:59Speaker 2: You, all right. And then the last couple that we have.
- 38:02Speaker 1: I hate this guy, I hate it. I hate He's
- 38:06Speaker 1: just a cheater.
- 38:07Speaker 2: So we have Danny and Yessel. They're from Connecticut and
- 38:11Speaker 2: they've been together for four and a half years. They
- 38:13Speaker 2: have four children, but two of them are from Yessel's
- 38:17Speaker 2: previous cheating ass baby Mama's Oh my god Yessel apparently
- 38:21Speaker 2: travels a lot for work. Sometimes he's gone for months
- 38:24Speaker 2: at a time, and so they want to get his
- 38:26Speaker 2: sister wife, mainly for Danny, so that way she's not
- 38:31Speaker 2: lonely when he's gone traveling.
- 38:33Speaker 1: So why can't you just get a man? Then why's
- 38:36Speaker 1: it got to be a woman.
- 38:37Speaker 2: Unless she's gay.
- 38:38Speaker 1: I don't think she's gay, though, so like it sounds
- 38:41Speaker 1: to me like he's only allowing it to be a
- 38:43Speaker 1: woman so that he could get the benefit of banging
- 38:45Speaker 1: that woman. But if Danny's lonely and if you're leaving
- 38:48Speaker 1: her for half of the year or whatever it is,
- 38:51Speaker 1: then let.
- 38:51Speaker 2: Her have a man.
- 38:52Speaker 1: I mean, it's just misogyny. I get to bang the women.
- 38:56Speaker 1: I get to do what I want. I get to
- 38:58Speaker 1: have an instrument for my pleasure. And sorry about it.
- 39:01Speaker 2: He is so disrespectful about it because he was the
- 39:04Speaker 2: one that suggested it. Apparently he had a whole fucking
- 39:06Speaker 2: PowerPoint presentation telling Danny why polygamy is the right choice
- 39:12Speaker 2: for them, and so begrudgingly Danny agrees to it, but
- 39:16Speaker 2: like her only stipulation is that can you just involve me? Though? Like,
- 39:20Speaker 2: can I just know when you're on the apps, Can
- 39:22Speaker 2: I be involved in the messages? Can I know who
- 39:25Speaker 2: the woman is? Like? I want to feel comfortable with
- 39:28Speaker 2: this new chick that you're gonna be banging. But does
- 39:30Speaker 2: Yessel do any of that? No, because their first fucking
- 39:33Speaker 2: polygamous experiment that they do, he fucks it up because
- 39:37Speaker 2: he goes on the apps without her knowing. He ends
- 39:41Speaker 2: up hooking up with a woman without Danny knowing.
- 39:43Speaker 1: His friend that he knew from high school. It's like
- 39:46Speaker 1: all of those posts that we read on Reddit where
- 39:50Speaker 1: the guy asks to open the marriage because he's getting
- 39:54Speaker 1: a little bored with his wife, but he's already got
- 39:56Speaker 1: somebody in mind, and in fact, he's already been banging
- 39:59Speaker 1: her for three months. So he's just a cheating cheater
- 40:01Speaker 1: who cheats. That's what it is giving with Yessel, It's.
- 40:04Speaker 2: Exactly what it is. And so Danny's already hurt from
- 40:07Speaker 2: their first experience with polygamy that went wrong because he
- 40:10Speaker 2: ended up cheating, making a mistake and cheated on her
- 40:13Speaker 2: with this high school friend. And so then now they're
- 40:16Speaker 2: trying to seek a sister wife again together, but he's
- 40:20Speaker 2: again already on the apps without Danny knowing he's already
- 40:23Speaker 2: browsing at all the fresh new women that apparently want
- 40:26Speaker 2: to fuck him, which I'm just like, you ain't no prize,
- 40:30Speaker 2: You're gross to me, And Danny is uncomfortable by it,
- 40:35Speaker 2: but like still trying to go with it because she
- 40:37Speaker 2: loves him.
- 40:38Speaker 1: From Danny, who hurts you?
- 40:40Speaker 2: Danny?
- 40:40Speaker 1: What is broken inside you? Danny? Are you pursuing therapy
- 40:44Speaker 1: because you clearly do not want to be in this situation.
- 40:47Speaker 1: You need to control it down to the most finest point.
- 40:52Speaker 1: But that's because you don't want it, and you're looking
- 40:54Speaker 1: for anything to disqualify it. Just say you don't want it,
- 40:58Speaker 1: Just say you can't do it for some reason. You
- 41:01Speaker 1: can't do that with Yessel. So maybe get a therapist, honey,
- 41:04Speaker 1: so that you can get out of this very toxic situation.
- 41:07Speaker 2: I mean really Like there's a scene in one of
- 41:09Speaker 2: the previous episodes where she's telling Yessel like her boundary
- 41:13Speaker 2: is that she doesn't want him to have another child
- 41:16Speaker 2: with another woman because I guess she's done having child children,
- 41:20Speaker 2: or she can't conceive anymore or something, And all she
- 41:23Speaker 2: wanted was a baby girl. She never got that. She
- 41:25Speaker 2: only had a couple boys, and she gets super emotional
- 41:28Speaker 2: because she's like, just the thought of you, like conceiving
- 41:31Speaker 2: a child with another woman and having it be a girl,
- 41:33Speaker 2: Like that's my dream, Like I can't see that. And
- 41:36Speaker 2: I'm like, girl, you need to dump this man, throw
- 41:39Speaker 2: him in the trash, let him be e Lethario and
- 41:42Speaker 2: like have a bunch of baby mamas and stuff, like
- 41:44Speaker 2: you need to get somebody who actually values you, cares
- 41:47Speaker 2: about you, and cares about your emotions, and like she's beautiful.
- 41:50Speaker 1: She is gorgeous. And when she's saying that to him,
- 41:55Speaker 1: does he say sweet, absolutely, because I get to have
- 41:58Speaker 1: a partner. I get to banghuei wan. And all you're
- 42:01Speaker 1: saying is I don't have to have a baby with
- 42:02Speaker 1: this person, no problem. But no, Instead, he's like, well,
- 42:06Speaker 1: I mean they should be able to have a voice,
- 42:08Speaker 1: and if we want to have a child together, like,
- 42:11Speaker 1: should we really tell them that they can't. I'm just like,
- 42:14Speaker 1: oh my god, looking a gift horse in the mouth,
- 42:17Speaker 1: and also your scum of the earth, like every other
- 42:21Speaker 1: man on.
- 42:21Speaker 2: This show, And like the other weird thing about their
- 42:25Speaker 2: dynamic is that Danny is best friends with one of
- 42:28Speaker 2: Yessel's baby mamas. Leah because I think he's got two
- 42:33Speaker 2: baby mamas. I don't think it's just one. But anyway,
- 42:36Speaker 2: Leah is like deeply intertwined in to their lives because
- 42:40Speaker 2: Yessel and her have a child together. But like she's
- 42:42Speaker 2: best friends with Danny, and Danny's like try to express
- 42:44Speaker 2: to her that she's kind of uncertain and uncomfortable about
- 42:48Speaker 2: this whole dynamic. But like, is Leah being a girl's
- 42:51Speaker 2: girl and telling her you should dump this guy because
- 42:54Speaker 2: he's just a cheater. No, She's just like.
- 42:56Speaker 1: Well, well, maybe she's doing it behind the scenes and
- 42:58Speaker 1: maybe she's maybe doing this for the cameras, but we
- 43:03Speaker 1: do see in the next episode that she's pretty based,
- 43:05Speaker 1: so hopefully she comes through for our girl, Yes, Yanny.
- 43:08Speaker 2: And in this week's episode, we have Danny and Yessel
- 43:12Speaker 2: talking about this new chick that Yessel met named Jackie.
- 43:16Speaker 1: Who's a catfish.
- 43:17Speaker 2: I mean, right, come on, I've be seeing those dating
- 43:20Speaker 2: app profile pictures and they're all face tuned to hell.
- 43:24Speaker 2: And then we actually see her at their date or whatever.
- 43:27Speaker 1: I'm like, and she keeps like pushing her hair. That's
- 43:30Speaker 1: like me pushing your hair, Like, yeah, no, this is
- 43:32Speaker 1: my actual face. This is the shape of my face?
- 43:34Speaker 2: What what I look exactly like?
- 43:38Speaker 1: My hair?
- 43:39Speaker 2: And they I guess they have a group chat going
- 43:42Speaker 2: with Jackie, and this is what Danny has stipulated makes
- 43:46Speaker 2: her feel comfortable. It's like just being involved in the conversations,
- 43:49Speaker 2: but like Yessel's already stomping on that boundary and like
- 43:53Speaker 2: having side texts with Jackie where he's like very obviously
- 43:57Speaker 2: sexting her or like sending dirty photos or inappropriate being inappropriate.
- 44:03Speaker 2: Danny doesn't realize that and it finds out about it
- 44:06Speaker 2: and is again hurt, and I'm like, girl, how many
- 44:09Speaker 2: more signs are you gonna have.
- 44:11Speaker 1: A million before you all show?
- 44:13Speaker 2: I just don't understand. So then they end up going
- 44:16Speaker 2: on a date with Jackie, and Jackie is like nice enough,
- 44:22Speaker 2: but she's kind of pushy, pushy, and I guess she's
- 44:26Speaker 2: lived or been in polygamous relationship or polyamorous relationships before,
- 44:32Speaker 2: but they haven't worked out, and so she's coming into
- 44:35Speaker 2: this date being like, look, I want equal decision making,
- 44:38Speaker 2: I want structure, and Yessel and Danny are like, cool, bet,
- 44:43Speaker 2: that's what we want to and then she's like, but
- 44:45Speaker 2: I'm also a very sexual person. I love sex. It's
- 44:50Speaker 2: like my bread and butter. I love it so much,
- 44:52Speaker 2: And so like, are you gonna be okay Danny if
- 44:54Speaker 2: I'm like fucking your husband multiple times a day?
- 44:56Speaker 1: And Yessel is sitting there like, oh yeah, no, I'm sorry,
- 45:00Speaker 1: absolutely so important. I'm one hundred percent on board with that,
- 45:04Speaker 1: and then pan over to Danny and Danny's like uncomfortable.
- 45:07Speaker 1: I mean, but at the same time, Danny, have you
- 45:09Speaker 1: not thought this through? What did you think was going
- 45:12Speaker 1: to happen? I mean, he's going to have this is
- 45:14Speaker 1: the only reason he's doing it. Yeah, he can have
- 45:16Speaker 1: sex with these women.
- 45:18Speaker 2: I mean he even says it on their talking head.
- 45:19Speaker 2: He's like, yeah, Jackie's got a great bod, She's like
- 45:22Speaker 2: got big old tits.
- 45:23Speaker 1: And when they sit down, he's like, yeah, we should
- 45:26Speaker 1: get the mac and cheese or however he introduces this
- 45:28Speaker 1: and then he asks Jackie like, do you know what
- 45:31Speaker 1: mac and cheese noises are?
- 45:33Speaker 2: I couldn't you know?
- 45:34Speaker 1: In the bedroom? I don't even I'm paraphrasing exactly. Yes,
- 45:39Speaker 1: I'm just like, how gross, how frapped boys? How teenage boy?
- 45:44Speaker 1: How immature? What have you got to offer? What kind
- 45:47Speaker 1: of job do you have. How are you going to
- 45:49Speaker 1: be taking care of these women? Do you think you're
- 45:51Speaker 1: just your dick? You absolute nefarious, odious piece of crap.
- 45:55Speaker 1: I don't like you, yes, though.
- 45:56Speaker 2: I don't like him at all. And I forgot that
- 45:59Speaker 2: was the title of this episode this week was Mac
- 46:01Speaker 2: and Cheese Noises, And I'm like watching the whole episode
- 46:04Speaker 2: and I'm like, when are we gonna get to that point?
- 46:05Speaker 2: And it was literally him bringing it up and saying
- 46:08Speaker 2: that's what sick.
- 46:09Speaker 1: Sounds like at the dinner table. Oh, how old are
- 46:12Speaker 1: you wants a man like that?
- 46:15Speaker 2: Seriously? And you know that like he's probably like on
- 46:18Speaker 2: the oil rigs or something if he's gone for like
- 46:20Speaker 2: months at a time, Like you know, he's out fucking
- 46:23Speaker 2: hookers and stuff too, because once Danny gives him the
- 46:26Speaker 2: green light for this whole polygamy thing, like you know
- 46:28Speaker 2: that's what he's doing. This isn't just a dynamic to
- 46:32Speaker 2: give Danny a friend while you're gone, Like this is
- 46:35Speaker 2: so you can have the license to cheat.
- 46:38Speaker 1: Yeah, fuck other women, but not Danny. Danny can't have
- 46:41Speaker 1: a boyfriend. Danny can't have a partner while you're gone,
- 46:45Speaker 1: because it's misogyny. And because y'all are disgusting. He is
- 46:49Speaker 1: so disgusted, and Danny's broken, and for some reason, Danny
- 46:53Speaker 1: feels like this is what she deserves. Yeah, and she's
- 46:56Speaker 1: just going to make herself okay with it, even though
- 47:00Speaker 1: all of us can see that she's incredibly insecure, and
- 47:03Speaker 1: that's because her husband has cheated on her already, probably
- 47:06Speaker 1: multiple times. Yeah, probably more than the high school person.
- 47:09Speaker 1: Probably multiple times. I'm like, I get while you're insecure,
- 47:12Speaker 1: but like you're gonna have to at some point advocate
- 47:14Speaker 1: for yourself and get out of the situation. Your husband ain't.
- 47:18Speaker 2: Shit, ain't shit. And that's what's so weird about this
- 47:21Speaker 2: show is that you have couples like this where it's
- 47:24Speaker 2: very obvious that there's a discrepancy, like there's an inequality
- 47:28Speaker 2: in this dynamic, like it is so misogynistic on Danny
- 47:31Speaker 2: and Yessel's part. But then you have like the Davis
- 47:33Speaker 2: family who are pretending to be polygamists, but like they're
- 47:36Speaker 2: all fucking each other and they're all like enjoying it
- 47:39Speaker 2: and everything, so like it's interesting.
- 47:40Speaker 1: But they're equal, yes, and they're all agreeing it's all consensual. Yes,
- 47:44Speaker 1: it's okay with it exactly.
- 47:45Speaker 2: So it's just it's it makes for an interesting, weird,
- 47:48Speaker 2: trashy show. Yeah, there are some producer moments, for sure,
- 47:51Speaker 2: and I don't really like that. But at the same time,
- 47:53Speaker 2: like these characters are so absurd that I do enjoy it,
- 47:56Speaker 2: but I hate Yessel.
- 47:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:58Speaker 2: And so then we have the preview for next week.
- 48:00Speaker 2: We have Lorena who wants to bring her family to
- 48:04Speaker 2: America for their K one visa.
- 48:06Speaker 1: Overwhelman, I'm so overwhelmed.
- 48:10Speaker 2: And this is so fucked up because she wants to
- 48:12Speaker 2: bring her family for the wedding so she could have
- 48:15Speaker 2: a celebration, and Danielle's like it's too much though, because
- 48:19Speaker 2: they would have to foot the bill, correct and they
- 48:21Speaker 2: don't want to have to spend the money. And it's
- 48:23Speaker 2: kind of unfair to Lorena because she's coming here with nobody.
- 48:27Speaker 2: All she wants is people that speak her fucking language,
- 48:30Speaker 2: for God's sakes, and Danielle's like nah. And then we
- 48:33Speaker 2: have Teresa telling Nick that he's the last person, the
- 48:38Speaker 2: last man she ever wants to make love to and
- 48:41Speaker 2: ever wants to be with, and she's like, I want
- 48:43Speaker 2: to marry you. I want to be a part of
- 48:45Speaker 2: this family.
- 48:45Speaker 1: I want to be a Davis.
- 48:47Speaker 2: I want to be a Davis. And I think she
- 48:48Speaker 2: talks about changing her last name, so maybe they said
- 48:51Speaker 2: no to the fourth sister wife. But she's like, but
- 48:54Speaker 2: how about I just changed my last name though, go ahead, desperado,
- 48:57Speaker 2: heck a desperate. And then we have Jackie meeting Yessel's
- 49:03Speaker 2: ex baby mama Leah, and Leah seems like she's not
- 49:07Speaker 2: going to be into this hoe. And then we have
- 49:09Speaker 2: Matt from the Johnson family, Matt saying that he is
