- 0:00If you wanna put your hands on 10K fast, if you're in a job, ask
- 0:03for a pay rise. It's the fastest way to get paid more money. You
- 0:07may not need those things you think you need. You may not need Uber Eats, Uber
- 0:10Eats, Uber Eats, Uber Eats. You may not need to see Amazon, Amazon, Amazon,
- 0:13Amazon in your bank account. The secret to making more money. How
- 0:18inconvenient. I get it, but it's not forever. You're gonna try and put your hands on 10K
- 0:22fast. Got it? I'm Lloyd James Ross, seven figure investor and
- 0:25entrepreneur. And I've helped thousands of business owners and professionals turn
- 0:29financial stress into success. If you're stuck in old money
- 0:32habits, overwhelmed by investing or unsure where to start, this
- 0:36is for you. I'll give you the mindset and strategies to take control,
- 0:40grow your wealth and achieve financial freedom. It's time to
- 0:43make your money work for you. How to save $10,000 fast. How
- 0:50I would think about doing this? I want to give you six things
- 0:54to focus on if you want to put your hands on $10,000 fast. Here
- 0:58we go. If you want to create $10,000 for whatever reason, these
- 1:02are the steps that I would take. By the way, a student of mine recently actually said
- 1:05to me, ìLloyd, Iíve got this coming up. I need to create $3,500 really
- 1:09quickly over the next two weeks.î How do I do it? And we went through a
- 1:12plan with her and we nailed it. Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang. She got it. So
- 1:15if you want to just be able to do that, you've got to have a
- 1:19plan to follow. It's got to be very tactical. It's got to be effective.
- 1:22It's got to be fast. It's got to be high urgency and you've got to take no
- 1:25prisoners. Okay. So if you want to put your hands on 10k fast, here's how
- 1:29you do it. One, well, Over time, before I get to one, is
- 1:32you got to do two things at once, obviously. You got to increase your income and
- 1:36drop your costs. That's effectively what you must do. So
- 1:39each one of these items I go through aims to do one of those things, increase
- 1:42income or drop costs. Okay. And so let's go to it.
- 1:46The first one is pay rise. So for example, if you want
- 1:50to put your hands on 10k fast, If you're in a job, ask
- 1:53for a pay rise. It's the fastest way to get paid more money. Ask
- 1:57the question, right? Hey, and ask it formally, go
- 2:00to Chattyptee, put in there, give me a formal, well-written,
- 2:04compelling email. that I can send to my boss that 100% guarantees
- 2:09that I'll get a pay rise. And let chat do the work for you to do
- 2:12that. Send it, just send it. Especially if you've been there
- 2:16and you haven't actually had a pay rise for so long. Now's the time. So
- 2:19that's the first step, pay rise. Now if you're in a business, it's a lot easier when
- 2:22you're in business. Well, it may not be mentally easier, but it's
- 2:26easier because you are in more control. So if you're in a business,
- 2:29the fastest way to put your hands on more money is to increase your prices. Now
- 2:33for some people, you haven't had a price increase for many years.
- 2:37I get it. It's very difficult to raise prices because you
- 2:40don't really want to steer away customers. You want
- 2:44to provide more value than you take. I get it. But if you haven't increased
- 2:47your prices at least to the tune of inflation, which is
- 2:50say 3%, 5% in the last couple of years or more, it's
- 2:54time to increase them. So perhaps look at a 10 or 20% increase in
- 2:58prices. That could accumulate the 10K a lot faster, obviously. So
- 3:01that's the first step, raise prices, either as an employee or
- 3:05as a business owner. Second step, obviously, cut
- 3:09costs. And you can do this starting right now, okay? Cutting
- 3:12your subscriptions, cut your, I mean, I've had students sell
- 3:16cars and downgrade. One of them sold a car completely and just
- 3:19took public transport because he was trying to get ahead, right? Cut your
- 3:22expenses. You may not need those things you think you need.
- 3:26You may not need UberEats, UberEats, UberEats, UberEats. You may not need
- 3:29to see Amazon, Amazon, Amazon, Amazon in your bank account. So
- 3:33start to look at your statement and just cut. For this next
- 3:3630 days, cut expenses. It doesn't have to be forever. Guess
- 3:40what? When you cut, you can always add them back. But eliminate, eliminate,
- 3:43eliminate. As you're cutting your costs, you're going to create or
- 3:47free up more free cash flow for the month from your income. Make
- 3:50sense? Cool. Third step, we've got to find more money. Outside
- 3:54of price rise or pay rise, you've got to find more money. It's
- 3:57time to get a side gig. It's as easy
- 4:01as this. If you're someone who's a little bit knickknacky and
- 4:04pretty handy with computers and technology and design and
- 4:08you're more of the white collar style of skills, then
- 4:11go to Fiverr.com. I had a student do this the other day. He
- 4:15went to Fiverr.com, he created a profile, he put out a job
- 4:19and he got paid $30 for the job. And by the way, AI can do
- 4:22most of the jobs for you. People haven't caught on to that yet. So you can even go and
- 4:25do not that much work and get paid. You can even find someone on
- 4:29Fiverr who provides some sort of So
- 4:33for example, let's say someone creates e-books. They
- 4:37create them and they design them. And that's very easy to do with AI now, but a lot of
- 4:40people don't understand that. So they go to Fiverr and say, can you please create my e-book for
- 4:43me and design it for me? And you can find someone in Fiverr to do that for you for like
- 4:46probably $40 or $50 or $100 or sometimes $500. You never know. And
- 4:51so, what you could do is put an ad on
- 4:55Fiverr to say, I'm going to design and create your e-book for
- 4:58you, a lead magnet, as an example. And
- 5:01when you get a job and they pay you for the job, let's say it's
- 5:05200 bucks. Well, let's say it's, yeah, let's say it's, yeah,
- 5:09200 bucks you charge. Then you can go to someone else on Fiverr and
- 5:13say, hey, I need an e-book created and find someone that
- 5:16can do it for 50 bucks. So you get, you find out the work,
- 5:19you get them to do the ebook for you. Then you sell it
- 5:23to this person. It's called arbitrage. It's how Bunnings makes
- 5:26money. It's how Woolworths makes money. It's how, it's how, um.
- 5:32Any retailer makes money. They buy a product from someone else, like from Alibaba
- 5:36or Timu, and they flip and resell it. So
- 5:39you can do the same thing with service-based jobs. Does that make sense? So
- 5:43you can get the job for 200 bucks, find someone to do it for you
- 5:46for 50, and you take the margin of 150. Now,
- 5:50if you're someone who is more of a blue-collar, you're kind of more crafty
- 5:53and handy with your hands, then you can go straight to Airtasker, put
- 5:57on a job there to do all sorts of different things like get a trailer, remove rubbish.
- 6:00You could go and build someone's IKEA furniture. You could clean
- 6:04gutters. You could spray driveways. There's all sorts of
- 6:07different things you can do on Airtasker that are more service-based gigs.
- 6:12But the most important thing is to get a gig, which means working in
- 6:15the evenings, which means working weekends. We're trying to put our hands on 10K
- 6:19fast, not 10K slow. So work,
- 6:22work. I know, the secret to making more money, work.
- 6:27How inconvenient. I get it, but it's not forever. You're going to try and put your hands on
- 6:3110k fast. Got it? So they're the two side gigs you could attack.
- 6:35Things like affiliate marketing and network marketing that I love. Okay. And,
- 6:39and other sort of online businesses for sure. I'm podcasting. There's
- 6:42opportunities writing books, right? You could, but they're more long-term. They're
- 6:47like, it's gonna take longer to make money. We're trying to
- 6:50do it fast. So it's like small gigs, yeah? Just quickly, if you're ready
- 6:54to take control of your finances but feel stuck on where to start, I
- 6:57have a solution. My book, Money Buys Happiness, simplifies
- 7:01investing and wealth building with practical steps to help you achieve financial
- 7:05peace. Get your copy via the link in the show notes and let's get your
- 7:08money working for you. Now back to the episode. The fourth step
- 7:12is leveraging the asset that you have What do I
- 7:15mean by that? A lot of people are, they're
- 7:19not leveraging the resources at their disposal. What
- 7:23I mean is if you have a house and a yard, you
- 7:26could pet sit dogs like my wife does. My
- 7:30wife's been able to be paid like two grand to look after pets,
- 7:34other people's pets. It's like a little Airbnb at our place. And
- 7:38so you could actually just pet sit. There's two apps to add if you're
- 7:41in Australia, Paw Shake and Mad Paws. You put a profile up,
- 7:45you increase your price a little bit upon anyone else's, you provide a premium service, and
- 7:48you can earn up to $100 or more a night. So you could easily
- 7:52do that and turn your little house into a little pet sanctuary for a couple
- 7:55of pets that you can babysit for them. That's how you can make money quickly, particularly
- 7:58on weekends when you're not there. Or if you're someone who works from home, you can do it anytime. Because pets
- 8:02don't take up much energy. They just walk around the house. You
- 8:05gotta feed them twice a day. If you've already got a pet or a dog, you understand this. And
- 8:09they're just literally like resorting at your house and
- 8:13you're making money from their dink parents, the dual income,
- 8:16no kids parents that, you know, have their dog and love their dog as much as their
- 8:19child. They'll pay anything to make sure it's safe and happy, right? So you can do
- 8:23that. Wonderful way to earn extra income. Win, win, win
- 8:26outcome. Win for you, win for the dog, win for the owners. Now,
- 8:30the other thing you can do with the current resource, you have like a property with
- 8:34rooms, and I've got another student in the UK, she does this. She earns
- 8:37about two to $300 a month extra, because she actually
- 8:41rents her rooms out. So you could actually start doing that if
- 8:44you wanted to, particularly if you have an ability to separate some rooms. I
- 8:47mean, you don't have to Airbnb it, but you could actually just promote it to lease
- 8:51out to a student, someone who needs short term housing, but doesn't wanna take on
- 8:54a whole lease, right? You can do that too. Definitely.
- 8:59So that's leveraging the resources you have. That's number four. Number
- 9:02five, this is super simple. You could start doing it
- 9:06right now to get 10k fast, which is sell
- 9:09stuff When companies get into trouble, not
- 9:13suggesting you're in trouble but if you want to put your hands on money quickly, companies go
- 9:16through fire sales. So you can go through a fire sale too
- 9:19but look around your house and see what's there and put things on Facebook Marketplace.
- 9:23At the moment, we're doing some retouching to our interiors of
- 9:27our house or our apartment and at the moment, we're going
- 9:30to buy some new stuff. But guess what we're doing first? We've listed
- 9:34the other stuff on Facebook Marketplace first. because either
- 9:38it's pretty crappy and someone's going to get it for free. In that case, you can
- 9:41get them to take it to the tip for you for free. They can just take it from your house. That's
- 9:45a nice valuable service, saves you doing it. Or you can sell
- 9:48it for a certain price and that'll allow you to buy the next piece of furniture
- 9:51or it'll just put money in your pocket for your 10k fast. But either which
- 9:55way, go around your house now and look at things that you don't need.
- 9:59If that includes your car, And you can sell your
- 10:02car, buy a lower price car and
- 10:05take the balance. That's also a way to put your hands on 10K fast. I've
- 10:08had students do that. Okay. Particularly if it's a car that's got
- 10:11too much financing, it's killing you, right? You can do that, sell stuff.
- 10:15Facebook Marketplace, get it on there. If it's not selling, drop the
- 10:19price. Things that people don't need to inspect before
- 10:23they buy, you can put them on eBay. But if they need to
- 10:26physically be there to take it or see it, it's definitely Facebook Marketplace.
- 10:30That's the difference between the two. Now imagine for a
- 10:33moment You went after it and you were sold all this stuff in your house on
- 10:36Facebook Marketplace and you learnt how to do it effectively and you became
- 10:39good at it and you knew how to write the right sales copy, take the right photos. Imagine
- 10:44then if you could actually start a little course on how to sell on Facebook Marketplace
- 10:47and what if you could sell that for $1,000 and what if you sell that to 10 people, that's
- 10:52$10,000. Make sense? Number six, if you've got a high-interest credit
- 10:55card and it's sinking you, you're like, oh my God, I could put my hands on 10K
- 10:59faster if I didn't take out this
- 11:0220% interest credit card. It's killing me. And if
- 11:05that's the case, what you could potentially do, right?
- 11:08I've seen people do this before, but buy beware and go get credit advice
- 11:12from a professional, but you might want to consider talking to
- 11:15your bank and getting an interest-free card to use to pay
- 11:18off the high interest card. I know it's robbing Peter to pay Paul, but it will
- 11:22give you an interest break for a period where you can put your hands on
- 11:25the 10K a bit quicker because you're not paying the interest from the card. Those
- 11:29interest-free cards go for about 12 months interest-free. You'll have to have the right credit
- 11:32rating to get it, but it is possible to do that. Does that make sense? That's
- 11:36how you can put your hands on 10K fast. This is not something that you can go and
- 11:40get an equity loan against your house, say, I put my hands on 10K fast. Or
- 11:43go get a credit card with 20% interest rate and say, I put my hands on 10K
- 11:46fast. It's getting cash that you created out
- 11:51of seemingly thin air. So I hope that makes
- 11:54sense. They're the six ways where you can save 10K
- 11:58fast. Don't do one, do all of them in succession
- 12:02starting today. And before you know it, you'll have 10K to
- 12:06take investments, to invest in yourself, to travel
- 12:10somewhere you've always wanted to go to, whatever it is that's driving you to do this, I
- 12:13hope this makes sense and it's a roadmap. And I'd love you to leave me
- 12:16a comment below or a question. Which one are you doing? Which ones
- 12:20have you done? And if you've attacked this, have you done it before? Leave me
