- 0:07Speaker 1: In the genre of true crime, it is often very
- 0:10Speaker 1: easy to get swept away in big headline stories, ones
- 0:14Speaker 1: that splash across nations, with the news outlets reprinting the
- 0:18Speaker 1: glorified atrocities over and over again. Whenever we can. We
- 0:23Speaker 1: like to try and avoid such stories and find ones
- 0:26Speaker 1: that don't get the publicity they deserve, whether it's a
- 0:29Speaker 1: survivor telling the story of a deserving victim, or bringing
- 0:33Speaker 1: to light the horrific crimes of perpetrators so the world
- 0:36Speaker 1: can hold them accountable. Today, we want to do just that.
- 0:41Speaker 1: This is a story of two people who took their
- 0:45Speaker 1: own suffering and made others suffer instead. This is Lockjawn
- 0:52Speaker 1: Arts Furry Murder.
- 0:54Speaker 2: My name's Ben, I'm Nicole, and you're listening to Wicked
- 0:58Speaker 2: and Grim, a true crime.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Podcat casting the following.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Audience listener disc.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Go Canucks Go. I don't know who watched the last
- 1:32Speaker 1: Canucks game, but oh my god, we came back in
- 1:37Speaker 1: a little bit.
- 1:38Speaker 2: I was literally napping on the coach because it was
- 1:40Speaker 2: so boring. I was just done. I was just so done.
- 1:44Speaker 2: And then it got real exciting, real quick.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Last three minutes we came back. It was phenomenal. Anyways,
- 1:51Speaker 1: this isn't this isn't a sports podcast, so I don't
- 1:53Speaker 1: want to ramble about the Canucks. But they're they're doing good.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Hopefully they continue. We're in the playoffs. Go Canucks Go.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I don't have a beverage. I just realized that.
- 2:03Speaker 2: No. I know, I meant to ask you if you
- 2:04Speaker 2: wanted water, but no, I'm okay. I just bought myself something.
- 2:07Speaker 1: I'm okay for now. Next next week, I promise I
- 2:10Speaker 1: will crack a beer open with you guys, so that'll
- 2:13Speaker 1: come next week. Have a drink ready. Whether it's alcoholic
- 2:17Speaker 1: or not, doesn't matter. Just have a drink ready, whether
- 2:19Speaker 1: it's chocolate milk.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Oh man, Okay, yes, I bought a two liter of
- 2:25Speaker 2: chocolate milk. How long did that last in our home?
- 2:28Speaker 1: A couple hours?
- 2:29Speaker 2: Yeah, and delicious. I think I got like I think
- 2:33Speaker 2: I had a glass. No you had more than that,
- 2:35Speaker 2: a glass and a half.
- 2:36Speaker 1: No you at least had two?
- 2:38Speaker 2: No? Yes, no, yes, at least? Yes man, Okay, I
- 2:43Speaker 2: had a glass and a half.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Two, you had two glasses. I drink the rest. I'm
- 2:48Speaker 1: not ashamed of it.
- 2:50Speaker 2: And then today I was like, dang, I wish we
- 2:52Speaker 2: had some chocolate milk and.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I was like me too. Yeah, but yet next week
- 2:58Speaker 1: I'll have a I'll have a beer. If you guys
- 3:00Speaker 1: won't have a drink ready, feel free to join in
- 3:02Speaker 1: for that one, because it's been a while ahead one
- 3:04Speaker 1: on the show. So we'll get back to that. But
- 3:07Speaker 1: I do want to make sure we reach out and
- 3:08Speaker 1: thank to our patrons who signed up this past week,
- 3:11Speaker 1: and our patron that we have is Rosario Torres. Thank
- 3:14Speaker 1: you so much for signing up. They got that all
- 3:16Speaker 1: access pass and they're going to get you putting out
- 3:20Speaker 1: a Patreon.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Episode tomorrow, well well.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Today technically when you hear it the Tuesday.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Yeah, so yeah, we'll be recording that one tomorrow. I'm
- 3:30Speaker 2: putting it out.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Yeah. So in case you don't know, Patreon, you get
- 3:33Speaker 1: the exclusive episode at the end of every month, so
- 3:36Speaker 1: this month they're getting the doubleheader. They're getting this episode
- 3:39Speaker 1: and the one Nichole's doing.
- 3:41Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah too in one day. That's pretty fun.
- 3:44Speaker 1: It is. We've been slacking a little bit on Patreon.
- 3:46Speaker 1: We got a lot going on recently, but we are
- 3:49Speaker 1: coming to an end on a few different side projects
- 3:51Speaker 1: of ours. So yeah, we're going to be hitting hard
- 3:55Speaker 1: here in the next coming weeks. We got some big
- 3:58Speaker 1: stuff we're going to be talking about. We're going to
- 3:59Speaker 1: be keeping you guys in the loop, letting you know
- 4:02Speaker 1: very soon. Patreon has already got a little bit of
- 4:04Speaker 1: heads up on some things. But yeah, we'll be making
- 4:06Speaker 1: some announcements very soon.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm excited.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Yeah, are you excited for this episode today?
- 4:11Speaker 2: I don't really know what to think of this episode
- 4:13Speaker 2: from your intro, I have no idea.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Well, this one is not a very well known one whatsoever.
- 4:18Speaker 1: It was really hard to research because there's not much
- 4:20Speaker 1: out there. Yeah, and we often try to avoid those great,
- 4:26Speaker 1: big headliner true crime stories. Like to date, we have
- 4:30Speaker 1: not done Ted Bundy simply because Ted Bundy story is everywhere. Somerton, Man,
- 4:37Speaker 1: we haven't done that one because it's, you know, everywhere.
- 4:40Speaker 1: We have done some bigger stories. We like to try
- 4:42Speaker 1: and stick to some smaller ones.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Well. Yeah, often I'll like google it or just in
- 4:47Speaker 2: the like search bar of Spotify. Yeah, the case that
- 4:50Speaker 2: I'm thinking about doing, And if there's a ton of podcasts,
- 4:52Speaker 2: I'll be like, Okay, maybe I'll try to find another one.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Yeah, So this one, there's not much out there on it. No,
- 5:00Speaker 1: not much at all. There's not a lot of published
- 5:02Speaker 1: information online. And I mean I like having the opportunity
- 5:06Speaker 1: to cover cases like this because it's a chance to
- 5:08Speaker 1: tell stories of victims you may not otherwise, you know,
- 5:10Speaker 1: generally have their story out loud and kind of go
- 5:13Speaker 1: quiet over time. Absolutely, and also, like I said, to
- 5:17Speaker 1: kind of call out those perpetrators as well, continuing that
- 5:19Speaker 1: we hold them accountable. But however, on the flip side
- 5:23Speaker 1: of this, the research is not easy. It's often it
- 5:28Speaker 1: leaves me with like not a lot to write about
- 5:31Speaker 1: in the episode, if I'm being honest, So the episode
- 5:34Speaker 1: could be a little bit shorter depending on how I
- 5:36Speaker 1: write it. So I tried to write this in a
- 5:39Speaker 1: proper way to ensure that we still hear the story
- 5:42Speaker 1: and we're delivering a good full length episode, right, So
- 5:46Speaker 1: that's what I'm trying to do here today. Okay, So
- 5:50Speaker 1: here we go. We're starting today talking about a very
- 5:53Speaker 1: niche interest, if you will, and it's in the title
- 5:56Speaker 1: of this podcast episode furry. Okay, do you know what
- 6:00Speaker 1: a furry is?
- 6:01Speaker 2: I have no idea, get worry about to tell you.
- 6:03Speaker 1: What a furry is. So we're talking about furries, and
- 6:05Speaker 1: if you don't know, like Nicole doesn't know, they are
- 6:08Speaker 1: individuals with a subculture interest in anthropomorphic animal characters, so
- 6:15Speaker 1: they often cause play as these animal characters from different
- 6:18Speaker 1: comics or web series or even their own original characters. Now,
- 6:24Speaker 1: to be honest, some of these costumes I've seen from
- 6:26Speaker 1: individuals like I've seen them in real life. I've done
- 6:28Speaker 1: cosplay conventions quite a bit myself. These furries quote unquote
- 6:34Speaker 1: are pretty epic and seriously well built. Many of them
- 6:36Speaker 1: I've seen are just insane, so good, they're so cool.
- 6:41Speaker 1: So if you will, picture like a mascot like costume,
- 6:44Speaker 1: but the proportions of this mascot, like say, like a dog.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Okay, okay, the.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Proportions are as accurate as they can be to the
- 6:51Speaker 1: animal while still delivering a cartoonish, human like, humanoid like
- 6:56Speaker 1: feel to the character, often making them look very cute
- 6:59Speaker 1: and adorable. So picture like a dog, but like talks
- 7:03Speaker 1: and speaks english, has opposable thumbs, walks on two legs,
- 7:06Speaker 1: and is like also cute and like cartoonish, kind of
- 7:09Speaker 1: like my little pony almost kind of thing.
- 7:12Speaker 2: I feel like the way you're describing these that I've
- 7:14Speaker 2: seen I know what you're talking about, Like I've seen this.
- 7:16Speaker 1: You you most definitely have. I know you have because
- 7:18Speaker 1: you've been to conventions with me and stuff. You most
- 7:21Speaker 1: certainly have. It's a subculture that sounds like pretty tame
- 7:25Speaker 1: in all honesty. They dress up as characters. They're like
- 7:28Speaker 1: cartoonish like animals. Like cool, right, they're.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Question though they're making these costumes like me.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Not everyone is. It's no different than any sort of costume.
- 7:39Speaker 1: You can buy costumes online and can make them yourself.
- 7:42Speaker 1: You can get cheap Amazon knockoffs and stuff. But some
- 7:45Speaker 1: of the costumes that people are making are fucking good,
- 7:48Speaker 1: are fucking intense, just like any sort of costume building.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Yeah, you go to a.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Comic con, you're gonna see someone who bought a crappy
- 7:57Speaker 1: Halloween store costume for twenty bucks. You're going to see
- 8:00Speaker 1: someone who spent two grand building like freaking iron Man's
- 8:04Speaker 1: Mark four and Yeah. So there's everywhere in between, just
- 8:09Speaker 1: like this too. But some of the costumes are phenomenal.
- 8:13Speaker 1: But like I said, there's the side where they dress
- 8:16Speaker 1: up with these characters, a cute, cartoonish animals whatever. There's
- 8:19Speaker 1: also another side to some of these furries. I'm not
- 8:22Speaker 1: going to say it's all of them, but the word
- 8:26Speaker 1: furry is often associated with a kink, let's call it, okay,
- 8:33Speaker 1: a kink where people like to wear their costumes in
- 8:37Speaker 1: intimate settings and they find the characters to be rather attractive,
- 8:43Speaker 1: so they get together and do their deeds and fantasize
- 8:48Speaker 1: some pretty hardcore situations with otherwise innocent looking critters. Yeah,
- 8:57Speaker 1: I'm going to leave that open for the imagination there,
- 8:59Speaker 1: But that's kind of the other side of what furries
- 9:02Speaker 1: is generally associated with. I'm not saying that's the entirety
- 9:05Speaker 1: of the community, but there is a large portion of
- 9:09Speaker 1: it that is involved in that sort of stuff. Now,
- 9:12Speaker 1: let me say this, Yes, furries generally get a lot
- 9:16Speaker 1: of hate for all this. It's different. It's not very
- 9:19Speaker 1: understood by the general public, including myself. But hey, as
- 9:24Speaker 1: long as you aren't hurting anyone and it's consensual with
- 9:28Speaker 1: everyone involved, I mean, go hump your little furry brains out,
- 9:31Speaker 1: I don't care, go do you? Right?
- 9:35Speaker 2: I know, because I was just kind of what do
- 9:37Speaker 2: I say to this? But I mean because yeah, like
- 9:41Speaker 2: try not to judge sort of thing, right, yeah'sh their own.
- 9:43Speaker 1: If everyone's consenting, if no one's being harmed, yeah, fly
- 9:47Speaker 1: at it, right as far as I'm concerned. I mean,
- 9:51Speaker 1: you're wearing a mascot costume in the bedroom, right, but
- 9:54Speaker 1: then someone else is wearing a full gimp leather outfit
- 9:57Speaker 1: in the bedroom. It's just hey, everyone has their own
- 9:59Speaker 1: cas Yeah, it's whatever, lie at it totally.
- 10:03Speaker 2: So this logistics of that are kind of difficult to understand.
- 10:06Speaker 1: But well, yeah, I would imagine you'd have to stay
- 10:10Speaker 1: pretty hydrated.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Yeah, that's one thing.
- 10:13Speaker 1: I guess the heat exhaustion would be just through the
- 10:16Speaker 1: roof unzies. Anyways, this story begins with some people who
- 10:20Speaker 1: were in the furry community. So I just needed to
- 10:23Speaker 1: paint this full picture so you get the idea of
- 10:25Speaker 1: what a furry is when we're dealing with this. Yeah,
- 10:29Speaker 1: and it's one of those things where it's like, if
- 10:31Speaker 1: you're going to explain it, you really have to explain it.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Even though like a lot of this, like the sexualization
- 10:36Speaker 1: of furries and stuff doesn't really come up in this,
- 10:39Speaker 1: you just still need to know what a furry is, right.
- 10:41Speaker 1: So anyway, so the story begins with these two individuals.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Their names are Tanya Dillard, who is twenty seven, and
- 10:47Speaker 1: her boyfriend, Jacob Berkhowski. I almost fumbled that. I did
- 10:52Speaker 1: fumble it, but almost fucked it up. I caught myself Berkowski,
- 10:56Speaker 1: there's a V in there. Oh okay, yeah, Berkhowski. So anyway,
- 11:01Speaker 1: he was twenty four, thank you. So the two live
- 11:04Speaker 1: together in Northeast Valley of Las Vegas. They live together
- 11:08Speaker 1: in an apartment, and they were part of the furry
- 11:11Speaker 1: community so much so that they were professionally building costumes
- 11:16Speaker 1: for commissions for other individuals. Now, when I say professionally,
- 11:20Speaker 1: I mean that high end market that really well built,
- 11:23Speaker 1: like you're paying big bucks for these costumes. They were
- 11:27Speaker 1: good at what they did, and it is very niche
- 11:30Speaker 1: market to sell these costumes. But those are those interests
- 11:34Speaker 1: are very are generally very as I said, they're niche,
- 11:38Speaker 1: but those who are in it, they're in it.
- 11:40Speaker 2: And they'll pay top dollar.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Yes, okay, So it's no different to say, like, hey,
- 11:45Speaker 1: someone who likes Star Wars, hey, they'll buy some Star
- 11:48Speaker 1: Wars lego. But someone who likes Star Wars will buy
- 11:53Speaker 1: the original freaking Luke's lightsaber that was the flash from
- 11:58Speaker 1: the photography thing or whatever. Oh, I just realized you
- 12:00Speaker 1: never put up our logo. Oh we'll play it. We
- 12:05Speaker 1: won't play it today, whatever, I'm sorry. That's for video anyways.
- 12:09Speaker 1: People who are in it will pay top dollar. Like
- 12:11Speaker 1: you're saying, it's a very niche market to sell these costumes,
- 12:14Speaker 1: but those who are interested will pay.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Hey, that makes sense.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Yeah, so they made good products and people paid good
- 12:22Speaker 1: money for their products. I lost my mouth. Now it's
- 12:25Speaker 1: over here. We're so distracted to I'm so sorry. Let's
- 12:28Speaker 1: get back control.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Well, the problem was that for our video podcast, we
- 12:32Speaker 2: have user logo playing, but we didn't set that up
- 12:36Speaker 2: and now the screen saver changed and that's what made
- 12:38Speaker 2: us both be like oh shit, yeah, and.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Then I lost my mouth on the other screens. So anyways,
- 12:44Speaker 1: back on track here. I don't know the materials are
- 12:46Speaker 1: supplies they use by any means, but looking at some
- 12:49Speaker 1: of the creations they put together online, it's very easy
- 12:52Speaker 1: to see that they're very well made. A lot of
- 12:55Speaker 1: skill was taken care and putting these together, and along
- 12:58Speaker 1: with this, Tanya was also an incredible artist. To top
- 13:02Speaker 1: it all off, there was often posts on their Twitter
- 13:04Speaker 1: page or x which is now what it's called where
- 13:08Speaker 1: she's open for commissions of drawings of like these cartoons,
- 13:12Speaker 1: just like their first suits, They're open for commissions or whatever. Right.
- 13:15Speaker 1: And the incredible skill level they have is through the
- 13:19Speaker 1: roof their abilities to create, build draw together. They had
- 13:24Speaker 1: skills and client tell that they can have a very
- 13:27Speaker 1: successful business for years to come. The only problem is
- 13:32Speaker 1: being a business owner is not very easy. You don't say, oh,
- 13:38Speaker 1: I do say, especially when you are a sole proprietor
- 13:42Speaker 1: of your business. You are a small business, you're the
- 13:45Speaker 1: only employee. I mean, you're your own employee. Boss, marketing team,
- 13:49Speaker 1: financial advisor, payroll, personnel, social media, marketing team, like human resource,
- 13:55Speaker 1: human resources, health and safety, labor, all of it. Yeah,
- 14:01Speaker 1: the stress that comes with it piles up and the
- 14:03Speaker 1: list goes on. It's insane. And this is where their
- 14:07Speaker 1: downfall began. Along with the stress, Jacob and Tanya were
- 14:11Speaker 1: both struggling heavily with mental illness. Now, I did a
- 14:16Speaker 1: deep dive on their Twitter or X page. I still
- 14:19Speaker 1: call it Twitter. I don't know if people actually call
- 14:21Speaker 1: it X but whatever. I did a deep dive on
- 14:24Speaker 1: their pages because they are still live, and I found
- 14:26Speaker 1: some hosts regarding their mental health So here's one example
- 14:30Speaker 1: from Tanya and her account name is blackcraft Witch. So
- 14:33Speaker 1: she posted on November thirteenth, twenty nineteen, I've been in
- 14:38Speaker 1: a damn near constant state of overwhelmed. And now from
- 14:42Speaker 1: Jacob his account lockjaw Arts from February nineteenth, twenty twenty,
- 14:49Speaker 1: I'm just now posting, but I was in the mental
- 14:51Speaker 1: hospital for a little while. Jax took care of things
- 14:55Speaker 1: at home and made sure that the rent was paid
- 14:57Speaker 1: for the last week. Living in this room, barely getting
- 14:59Speaker 1: any light was driving me insane and killing my drive
- 15:03Speaker 1: to do anything. Now I should clarify Jack's was actually
- 15:08Speaker 1: Jacob's pseudonym online. Okay, so that is technically a post
- 15:14Speaker 1: from Tanya, but they Tanya did take care of lockjaw
- 15:19Speaker 1: arts account for a while. They're Jacob's account for a while,
- 15:22Speaker 1: but he had several posts very similar to this as well.
- 15:25Speaker 1: So they are both struggling very heavily with mental illness
- 15:29Speaker 1: and this is coming from both accounts, both individuals.
- 15:32Speaker 2: That's really too bad. I just have to say too.
- 15:34Speaker 2: I sometimes think creative people are really creative people sometimes
- 15:39Speaker 2: struggle with mental health a bit more kind of can
- 15:43Speaker 2: you know, go down that deep hole a bit more.
- 15:46Speaker 1: I think so too, And I mean it's honestly, like
- 15:48Speaker 1: even if you go back into the ages, because like
- 15:50Speaker 1: if you look at Leonardo da Vinci and Michaelangelo, like
- 15:54Speaker 1: those guys, like some of them, like, what's the dude
- 15:57Speaker 1: with the one ere the painter? Was that Picasso? No, No,
- 16:03Speaker 1: he's not the one I'm thinking of anyways, Like some
- 16:05Speaker 1: of them literally went insane, like and I think people
- 16:09Speaker 1: are like that today. And it doesn't help now that
- 16:11Speaker 1: when you post your art, maybe if you're a furry,
- 16:15Speaker 1: say where you get a lot of hate online, that
- 16:19Speaker 1: becomes tenfold.
- 16:20Speaker 2: I know, because you can develop a tough skin, but
- 16:23Speaker 2: it still does get under there a little bit, it does.
- 16:25Speaker 1: It does.
- 16:26Speaker 2: So I mean, this is interesting. It's not really something
- 16:28Speaker 2: I ever thought about with mental health and creative people,
- 16:31Speaker 2: but it's got I think there's got to be something
- 16:33Speaker 2: to it. I'm sure there's stuff.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Oh there I agree on And like even us, we've
- 16:38Speaker 1: received a hate online a lot for our episodes. We
- 16:41Speaker 1: fumble a word or something and people hate on us immediately.
- 16:45Speaker 1: It's so easy to be negative towards someone putting themselves
- 16:47Speaker 1: out there, and it's hard to put yourself out there,
- 16:50Speaker 1: let alone when you get this backlash. So, I mean,
- 16:53Speaker 1: that's kind of what they're doing. It's they're trying to
- 16:56Speaker 1: be creative. They're trying to do their art as a business,
- 16:59Speaker 1: and sure they're getting some online backlash, but they're certainly
- 17:03Speaker 1: dealing with a lot of mental health issues along the way.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:06Speaker 1: So regardless though, they seem like they were here for
- 17:10Speaker 1: each other and through it all. They even had a
- 17:13Speaker 1: dog to go along with it. And then the dog's
- 17:15Speaker 1: name was Castile. So Castile seemed to be on their
- 17:18Speaker 1: social media feeds on a regular basis and seem to
- 17:21Speaker 1: keep them both in quite high spirits. There's posts often
- 17:24Speaker 1: of them like going to the park with Castile, or
- 17:26Speaker 1: just like they're vacuuming, for example, inside and Castile's just
- 17:30Speaker 1: sitting there just being a good boy in the corner.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Is like not being afraid of the vacuum, and they're
- 17:34Speaker 1: just like loving the fact that he's just such a
- 17:36Speaker 1: good boy.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Sort of, Oh my gosh, dogs just bring life.
- 17:39Speaker 1: They did. So they're feeding off each other, but they
- 17:42Speaker 1: also have Castile there in the corner. They're doing what
- 17:44Speaker 1: they can to survive. And yeah, still though no matter
- 17:48Speaker 1: how hard. They tried, the struggles continue, and it's spilled
- 17:51Speaker 1: into their business and of course other aspects of their life. Now.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Another post from lockjaw Arts on February eighth, twenty twenty
- 18:00Speaker 1: reads quote, because rent is due in less than twenty
- 18:04Speaker 1: four hours and I need to raise a total of
- 18:06Speaker 1: at least two hundred dollars, I'm going to be accepting
- 18:09Speaker 1: Valentine's Day sketches for forty dollars two characters or twenty
- 18:13Speaker 1: five dollars for one character. So I mean that just
- 18:16Speaker 1: goes to show. With twenty four hours to go, they've
- 18:19Speaker 1: got rent to do, and they're putting it out there
- 18:21Speaker 1: to their clientele to see if they can do sketches
- 18:23Speaker 1: or drawings to make up that money. In the meantime.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Dang, they're hustling.
- 18:28Speaker 1: They're hustling, and I mean this shows the struggle they're
- 18:30Speaker 1: going through, and I'm sure it's a struggle that a
- 18:32Speaker 1: lot of people can relate to, which is very sad,
- 18:35Speaker 1: but I think it's just the reality of the world
- 18:37Speaker 1: that we live in.
- 18:37Speaker 2: It's really too bad, actually it is.
- 18:40Speaker 1: So things became overwhelming for the two and the later
- 18:44Speaker 1: of their posts on their their ex account see I
- 18:47Speaker 1: didn't say either. Oh, there we go. I got it.
- 18:50Speaker 1: We're regarding apologies for being so far behind and their
- 18:53Speaker 1: commission work that people had already paid them for. It
- 18:57Speaker 1: seems like they were now at the point where they
- 18:58Speaker 1: could no longer release stay afloat. They're behind on their
- 19:02Speaker 1: commissions and they're behind on money, so they can't really
- 19:08Speaker 1: go out and say like, hey, anyone else want commissions
- 19:11Speaker 1: when they have.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Commissions to write. That's a tough spot because before I
- 19:14Speaker 2: was like, well that's nice. They have the opportunity to say,
- 19:17Speaker 2: raise the money right for the rent that they were lacking.
- 19:20Speaker 2: But now yeah, they got themselves. Yeah, in a tricky spot.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Well, if you look at that, like, okay, so Valentine's
- 19:27Speaker 1: Day sketches forty dollars for two characters, twenty five dollars
- 19:30Speaker 1: for one character. Okay, so say they raised the two
- 19:35Speaker 1: hundred dollars they needed forty dollars, So that's forty eighty,
- 19:39Speaker 1: one hundred and sixty for four you need you need five. Yeah,
- 19:43Speaker 1: but that's for two characters. So that's ten characters you're sketching,
- 19:48Speaker 1: and say that's going to take you, say, four days
- 19:52Speaker 1: to draw. But then say you also have regular work.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Say you've got to do groceries or whatever, so that
- 19:59Speaker 1: four or five days is to take you to draw
- 20:00Speaker 1: might draw out over the course of two weeks, and
- 20:03Speaker 1: you already spent that two hundred dollars in your rent
- 20:05Speaker 1: and now you're two weeks behind on groceries. Now you
- 20:08Speaker 1: need to make more money, but you're already now two
- 20:09Speaker 1: weeks behind, like it.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Just buy Oh gosh, you just gave me anxiety there.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Well, that was kind of the point, because I think
- 20:15Speaker 1: that's the sort of thing that they're going through. So
- 20:20Speaker 1: they were at the part where they could no longer
- 20:21Speaker 1: really stay afloat, which is when an idea came to them.
- 20:27Speaker 1: In March of twenty twenty, Jacob and Tanya decided to
- 20:30Speaker 1: come up with a plan that would help them out
- 20:33Speaker 1: of this financial hole. They created a post on Craigslist
- 20:38Speaker 1: to lure a person for them to rob.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Okay.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Their solution was to steal in order to have a
- 20:47Speaker 1: tour in order to make ends meet.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Dang, I mean, gosh, I just want to be other solutions.
- 20:53Speaker 1: I'm sure there would be, for sure, but this to
- 20:57Speaker 1: them was the solution. And I'm not sure what the
- 21:00Speaker 1: ads said exactly, but I'm sure because it was admitted
- 21:06Speaker 1: to later on, but I'm sure it came with the
- 21:08Speaker 1: promise of sexual favors and or fantasies or something of
- 21:12Speaker 1: the like. Either way, they soon found themselves with their victim.
- 21:18Speaker 1: They were the first person who responded to the couple,
- 21:21Speaker 1: and this person was a man by the name of
- 21:23Speaker 1: Hector Mendez Hernandez who was forty five years old. So
- 21:28Speaker 1: he talked to the two online and they made plans together.
- 21:32Speaker 1: So on Friday, March twenty seventh, Hector picked both James
- 21:36Speaker 1: and Tanya up and he drove them back to his
- 21:39Speaker 1: place located near the twenty two hundred block of Colebrook Street.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Hector led the couple into his place, and without hesitation,
- 21:48Speaker 1: once he closed the door behind him, they immediately tacked Hector.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, Okay, this is just I don't know
- 21:57Speaker 2: what the fuck's going to happen here. An interesting story.
- 22:02Speaker 1: It's an interesting one, and as I already mentioned, there
- 22:04Speaker 1: isn't a lot of information that's been published online about
- 22:07Speaker 1: this one, right, so the next part is a bit
- 22:09Speaker 1: gray in what happened, But what a lot of articles
- 22:13Speaker 1: say online is that the attack occurred right away, and
- 22:15Speaker 1: Jacob pulled out a gun on the now terrorized Hector.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Oh shit, it.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Was initially it was initially started out as a robbery,
- 22:24Speaker 1: and it turned into a fight for Hector's life as
- 22:27Speaker 1: he was now being shot in his own home. And unfortunately,
- 22:31Speaker 1: Hector was unable to defend himself enough from the firearm
- 22:35Speaker 1: and was shot to death.
- 22:36Speaker 2: What the shit? That wasn't part of the plan. Was
- 22:39Speaker 2: It didn't seem like it would.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Was, No, yes, no, we'll get into it. Okay, yeah,
- 22:48Speaker 1: Now I do know Hector clearly tried to fight back
- 22:51Speaker 1: because in the heat of the moment when shots are
- 22:53Speaker 1: being fired off, Tanya also managed to get hit by
- 22:56Speaker 1: a straight bullet, though her injuries were rather superficial. So
- 23:01Speaker 1: the two Tanya and Jacob now stood over their deceased victim.
- 23:05Speaker 1: And perhaps if they were careful enough to cover their
- 23:07Speaker 1: tracks along the way, you know, even from here, look
- 23:10Speaker 1: back and maybe their conversation, delete things, or get rid
- 23:13Speaker 1: of his cell phone whatever, right, Ah, I don't know,
- 23:16Speaker 1: it's hard to say, but perhaps maybe they would have
- 23:20Speaker 1: gotten away with murder. However, of course, they just couldn't
- 23:23Speaker 1: help themselves but to boast. Oh gosh, so Tanya had
- 23:29Speaker 1: began messaging with a friend and told them that they
- 23:31Speaker 1: had murdered someone. What the shit. She even went as
- 23:35Speaker 1: far as to send them a photo of Hector's lifeless body,
- 23:38Speaker 1: showing just how cold they were over there now recent actions,
- 23:44Speaker 1: Tanya continued talking with a friend and told them how
- 23:46Speaker 1: the two of them were now planning on stealing Hector's
- 23:49Speaker 1: car or Ford F one to fifty truck and make
- 23:52Speaker 1: a trip to California to dump his body. The one
- 23:56Speaker 1: thing they didn't plan for, though, was their friend.
- 23:59Speaker 2: Was about to turn on Well, yeah, I'm pretty sure
- 24:01Speaker 2: that there is very few people that I wouldn't turn on. Yeah,
- 24:05Speaker 2: kind of situation.
- 24:06Speaker 1: I think that's probably a good thing. I know, there's
- 24:08Speaker 1: a lot of memes online about like hey, you know,
- 24:11Speaker 1: come help me hide a body and stuff, right like
- 24:14Speaker 1: in reality, like, I really hope that there's some intervention
- 24:18Speaker 1: that would actually occur in that situation, you know.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I just feel like that escalated so
- 24:25Speaker 2: much because it's it has seemed like they just went
- 24:29Speaker 2: there to rob him, like they could have tied him
- 24:31Speaker 2: up or whatever. It didn't necessarily have to kill him.
- 24:33Speaker 2: But then they did kill him, and you think that
- 24:35Speaker 2: there'd be like an oh fuck moment, like what the
- 24:38Speaker 2: hell did we do? But then instead they're just like
- 24:41Speaker 2: bragging about their shit. Yeah that doesn't make sense at all.
- 24:45Speaker 1: No, I agree with you one d percent.
- 24:47Speaker 2: So I kind of feel like they they, you know,
- 24:50Speaker 2: maybe intended to just kill him. That's sort of my thought.
- 24:54Speaker 1: We will get into that a little bit here, so
- 24:56Speaker 1: don't you worry, kay. So sometime after eleven am on
- 25:00Speaker 1: that very same Friday, this individual who was texting with
- 25:03Speaker 1: Tanya now called Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and told
- 25:09Speaker 1: them how their friend had just sent them a message
- 25:10Speaker 1: about how she and her boyfriend had just killed a man.
- 25:13Speaker 2: My gosh, that is such a call, I know, right
- 25:16Speaker 2: yet Wow.
- 25:17Speaker 1: She also told police that they were planning on leaving
- 25:19Speaker 1: soon and they were going to use his vehicle to
- 25:22Speaker 1: hide his body somewhere in California. And finally, they were
- 25:26Speaker 1: also able to provide the images of the deceased Hector
- 25:29Speaker 1: that they were sent from Tanya.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Why the fuck were they driving in California with the body?
- 25:35Speaker 1: Well, that's where they planned on dumping them. But yeah,
- 25:40Speaker 1: so police were understandably shocked and speechless at first. I mean,
- 25:45Speaker 1: you just had a call like, hey, my friend texted
- 25:47Speaker 1: me and showed me photos of a dead body, Like
- 25:51Speaker 1: what is this a prank call? Yeah, but no, it
- 25:53Speaker 1: was serious, and so they quickly jumped into action and
- 25:58Speaker 1: arrived at Hector's residence about six hours later after finally
- 26:01Speaker 1: identifying who he was and figuring everything out. When they arrived,
- 26:06Speaker 1: Jacob and Tanya were seen leaving Hector's place in his
- 26:10Speaker 1: F one fifty. A traffic stop quickly occurred. They pulled
- 26:15Speaker 1: the vehicle over and the two were apprehended. Now while
- 26:19Speaker 1: they were in custody, the investigation began and police entered
- 26:23Speaker 1: the home and they quickly confirmed the truth. Hector laid
- 26:26Speaker 1: dead in the bathroom, shot stabbed, and beaten. Tanya and
- 26:33Speaker 1: her boyfriend, Jacob were charged with the murder and sorry,
- 26:38Speaker 1: we're charged with murder with a deadly weapon and conspiracy
- 26:41Speaker 1: to commit murder and robbery with a deadly weapon and
- 26:44Speaker 1: conspiracy to commit robbery. Tanya was also treated for her
- 26:48Speaker 1: injuries to the wound that she sustained during the incident.
- 26:52Speaker 1: So the couple quickly broke down and admitted to the murder,
- 26:55Speaker 1: and they told police they came up with a plan
- 26:57Speaker 1: to create a post on Craigslist in order to whoever
- 27:00Speaker 1: would respond to the post. In this case, it was Hector,
- 27:03Speaker 1: and from there they decided they would rob, kill, and
- 27:06Speaker 1: then steal the victim's vehicle to quote, go live in
- 27:09Speaker 1: the woods together, which is why they chose California, most
- 27:13Speaker 1: likely because I mean, you're looking at Nevada in Las Vegas.
- 27:16Speaker 1: It's not much for woods, So California right now. I mean,
- 27:21Speaker 1: outside of the rob and murder thing, I just want
- 27:25Speaker 1: to say fuck it and run away. Living in the
- 27:27Speaker 1: middle of the wood set is super relatable. But that
- 27:30Speaker 1: doesn't mean you should go fucking kill someone to do it.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Yeah, there's other ways to maybe get there.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I would hope. So anyways, remember when I said
- 27:40Speaker 1: what occurred during the attack was extremely gray, right, Yeah,
- 27:44Speaker 1: so there is a bit more that I do know.
- 27:47Speaker 1: So most articles I found online don't talk much about
- 27:50Speaker 1: the attack itself. They say that just kind of happened
- 27:54Speaker 1: like pretty much right away, and he was shot and
- 27:57Speaker 1: that's that. But I did findin a little bit more
- 28:03Speaker 1: apparently the attack did not occur instantly. Instead, after a while,
- 28:07Speaker 1: Hector apparently tried to kiss Tanya, which upset both her
- 28:12Speaker 1: and Jacob. The altercation broke out, and apparently Hector punched Jacob,
- 28:18Speaker 1: and as a result, Jacob admittedly pulled out a handgun
- 28:23Speaker 1: that Tanya had bought from a pawn shop, and he
- 28:25Speaker 1: began to shoot Hector four times and Quote at least
- 28:29Speaker 1: twice in the head area. He also admitted to stabbing
- 28:35Speaker 1: Hector at least twenty five times in his.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Torso holy, Okay, so he pissed them off, and this
- 28:44Speaker 2: is how they went about dealing with.
- 28:45Speaker 1: That, Yes, even though they planned to do this anyway though.
- 28:50Speaker 2: Yeah, but the whole stabbing twenty five times thing, that's
- 28:54Speaker 2: like usually it sort.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Of a there was any passion aggression.
- 28:58Speaker 2: Yeah, kill.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Well, that's not the end of it, because at this
- 29:02Speaker 1: point Hector was actually.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Still love Oh gosh.
- 29:05Speaker 1: They then proceeded to beat Hector with a black and
- 29:08Speaker 1: red Dumbell set while Tanya held him down and Jacob
- 29:13Speaker 1: used the weights to beat him with, which would ultimately
- 29:17Speaker 1: be what claimed Hector's life.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Geez, So they just put him through hell?
- 29:21Speaker 1: Yes, So it was forced trauma to the head that
- 29:25Speaker 1: killed Hector.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Wow.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Jacob also mentioned that Hector quote had touched Tanya's thigh,
- 29:33Speaker 1: which was another reason for the initiation of the assault,
- 29:36Speaker 1: which I mean, are you really fucking surprised of this.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Because what was the reason they were even there?
- 29:42Speaker 1: They solicited him for sex online.
- 29:46Speaker 2: They because that's what I thought, But now you're saying
- 29:48Speaker 2: these things. I'm just convinied.
- 29:50Speaker 1: They posted on Craigslist. I don't know what the post said,
- 29:53Speaker 1: but they admitted to luring someone with sex. So they
- 29:57Speaker 1: lured Hector with sex from list, chatted online about it,
- 30:03Speaker 1: hopped into his vehicle, went back to his place, and
- 30:06Speaker 1: then he apparently touched her thigh and tried to kiss her.
- 30:09Speaker 1: And they're pissed, and they're pissed.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Okay, That's why I was wondering if I like misheard
- 30:15Speaker 2: or was no, you didn't weird in my brain of
- 30:17Speaker 2: what they were doing.
- 30:19Speaker 1: So and all of that, their plan was still to
- 30:22Speaker 1: rob and kill him. So everything played out literally exactly
- 30:27Speaker 1: as they wanted, and they're surprise and pissed off about it,
- 30:31Speaker 1: Like what the fuck?
- 30:32Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, that doesn't seem like they thought that's true.
- 30:36Speaker 1: No, I don't think that.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Well, I mean, they did, but they didn't.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't they did, but they I guess they
- 30:43Speaker 1: I really don't know it makes no sense to me.
- 30:45Speaker 1: I cannot wrap my hand around it.
- 30:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Anyways, I couldn't find anything regarding convictions on either of
- 30:52Speaker 1: these two. The latest article I found from them were
- 30:55Speaker 1: in twenty twenty, and my guess is that they have
- 30:58Speaker 1: either a already been charged and are currently serving their
- 31:01Speaker 1: time without any updates from the story being published online,
- 31:05Speaker 1: or b COVID had an impact on their court date
- 31:09Speaker 1: and they have still yet to appear in court. So
- 31:14Speaker 1: that's that. Now, with all of this being said and done,
- 31:19Speaker 1: there is one more piece to the story that we
- 31:21Speaker 1: need to go over. And I need to preface this
- 31:24Speaker 1: though by saying there was nothing said of this in
- 31:28Speaker 1: any official reports or articles I have read. I mean, well,
- 31:33Speaker 1: there were a couple articles that referenced it and said things,
- 31:36Speaker 1: but there was nothing official by authorities. Let me say that.
- 31:41Speaker 1: But there was also a social media post that had
- 31:45Speaker 1: a bit of this unconfirmed information That is what initiated
- 31:49Speaker 1: some of these articles. This post is allegedly from a
- 31:54Speaker 1: friend of the individual who called the police on Jacob
- 31:57Speaker 1: and Tanya. Okay, one that was actually had the photos
- 32:01Speaker 1: of them and everything right, So that person had talked
- 32:07Speaker 1: to another person and this post is from them, so secondhand,
- 32:11Speaker 1: if that makes sense.
- 32:12Speaker 2: Okay.
- 32:14Speaker 1: The person who called in it was their friend who
- 32:16Speaker 1: wrote this post, Okay, but they are also it's a
- 32:20Speaker 1: little bit complicated because they're also quoting the person who
- 32:23Speaker 1: called in the post.
- 32:25Speaker 2: That doesn't make sense.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Okay, just making sure it makes sense because it's a bit.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Scattered, it is, but I feel like I get it.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Okay. So the post reads there was a couple of
- 32:34Speaker 1: things I cut out because it was just useless shit
- 32:36Speaker 1: that doesn't make any sense. But I got the majority
- 32:39Speaker 1: of it here. The post reads, quote A good friend
- 32:43Speaker 1: of mine is the sibling not related by blood. He
- 32:47Speaker 1: was like a brother to me type relationship of Vincent,
- 32:49Speaker 1: who was the tip to the policee. Vincent had confessed
- 32:54Speaker 1: and even showed photos of his victim. I want to
- 32:56Speaker 1: preface this. Vincent is a pseudonym for Jake. It is
- 33:01Speaker 1: another names they both got, like some nicknames and stuff.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Oh shit, Okay, they're referring to Jacob.
- 33:06Speaker 2: I was already lost, Okay, Okay.
- 33:10Speaker 1: According to my friend, Vincent had been hanging out with
- 33:12Speaker 1: the body in the victim's house for about ten hours
- 33:15Speaker 1: by the time he called and expressed that he planned
- 33:18Speaker 1: on quote, putting the body in the refrigerator and stealing
- 33:22Speaker 1: his car. He expressed that the opportunity came on a
- 33:26Speaker 1: silver platter. He said he wasn't concerned about the police.
- 33:31Speaker 1: He wasn't concerned about anything. His voice was like ice.
- 33:34Speaker 1: He was happy that he did it. He told me
- 33:37Speaker 1: this was his first and last and that in prison
- 33:40Speaker 1: he feels that he can hold up his own He
- 33:43Speaker 1: didn't care when he skinned his dog. He was mostly
- 33:47Speaker 1: upset that he lost its pelt. So, according to this
- 33:52Speaker 1: Facebook post of the friend of the person who called Jacob,
- 33:58Speaker 1: had killed their dog Castial and skinned him to keep
- 34:02Speaker 1: the pelts, presumably as far as many online theorize to
- 34:08Speaker 1: make a Furst suit with.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Oh god, oh what the shit? Yeah, okay, so I
- 34:19Speaker 2: feel like this person is kind of a psychopath.
- 34:21Speaker 1: I'm wondering they there's definitely something not right going on.
- 34:26Speaker 1: I can't say that they haven't been found fit to
- 34:31Speaker 1: stand trial because I haven't found anything about them standing trial.
- 34:36Speaker 1: But I'm presuming they are fit to stand trial because
- 34:39Speaker 1: they have been let go from a hospital, because that
- 34:43Speaker 1: is documented on their Twitter, x feeds, whatever you want
- 34:47Speaker 1: to call it. So they have been found fit to
- 34:52Speaker 1: be on their own. And I'm assuming stable or saying,
- 34:58Speaker 1: however you want to pull it put it, I'm not
- 34:59Speaker 1: too sure. But that doesn't mean that you can fucking
- 35:04Speaker 1: a kill a person and be killed and skin your
- 35:07Speaker 1: dog well, yeah, and then be upset that you don't
- 35:10Speaker 1: get to keep his pelt.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Well, And I'm thinking that this person sort of enjoyed
- 35:16Speaker 2: both of those things. So if they got away with it,
- 35:18Speaker 2: this would not they would they would strike again, like
- 35:21Speaker 2: they just would have that.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Urge, right, one hundred percent. If if everything went according
- 35:26Speaker 1: to their plan, if they managed to dump Hector's body
- 35:29Speaker 1: somewhere in California and they went and lived out in
- 35:31Speaker 1: the forest somewhere, what resources do you have You're homeless
- 35:35Speaker 1: now right, You're you're homeless out in the forest. What
- 35:38Speaker 1: resources do you have for food, clothing, medicine, whatever. You'd
- 35:43Speaker 1: get desperate again, You get desperate again, you're gonna be
- 35:45Speaker 1: stealing again, and most likely you're going to be running
- 35:48Speaker 1: into someone You're gonna have to fucking kill them to
- 35:50Speaker 1: try and get away with these things. So one hundred
- 35:52Speaker 1: percent they would have killed again. Yeah, So that is
- 35:57Speaker 1: the story of the furry murder brutal Yeah, huh. I
- 36:03Speaker 1: really really do hope that they get convicted. I really
- 36:05Speaker 1: really do hope they get put away for quite some time,
- 36:09Speaker 1: because they certainly deserve it.
- 36:12Speaker 2: And you really got us at the end with the
- 36:13Speaker 2: damn dog.
- 36:14Speaker 1: I know, the dog. The dog is actually how I
- 36:17Speaker 1: found this case because I was initially looking into another
- 36:23Speaker 1: furry murder okay, and I was just like, oh, that
- 36:27Speaker 1: seems interesting, and I found the headline and then I
- 36:29Speaker 1: searched furry murder, and then this one came up and
- 36:33Speaker 1: I was like, oh shit, and then so I went
- 36:35Speaker 1: into the snowballed into this one.
- 36:37Speaker 2: And you knew what that was? Hey? That meaning or.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Furry Oh yeah? Yea. No, if you've been on Reddit
- 36:42Speaker 1: at all, you probably know what furreas are, if you've
- 36:46Speaker 1: been to convention there. I mean, there's a lot of things.
- 36:48Speaker 1: I'm on the internet, a lot memes, you name it.
- 36:51Speaker 1: It's yeah, they get a lot of a bad rap,
- 36:55Speaker 1: and I mean not arguably for bad reasons, but I
- 37:01Speaker 1: feel for them at the same time because like they
- 37:02Speaker 1: don't They're just living their lives, you.
- 37:04Speaker 2: Know, And then I feel like lots of times with
- 37:06Speaker 2: things like that, though, there's just you know, a few
- 37:10Speaker 2: that kind of ruin the name or the reputation, right, Yes,
- 37:13Speaker 2: definitely not saying I don't know anything about this, but
- 37:16Speaker 2: I just have that I've seen that occur before.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Well, and all it takes is like to get a
- 37:21Speaker 1: few people who are like socially awkward to like be
- 37:23Speaker 1: in your your group or community or whatever, and then
- 37:27Speaker 1: people pick on those type of people, right, So, like
- 37:29Speaker 1: I get it. It's a weird thing to like for
- 37:32Speaker 1: a lot of people when they look at it from
- 37:34Speaker 1: an outside perspective. Sure, but they're not hurting anyone. I mean,
- 37:38Speaker 1: in this case, they're fucking hurt there, but they are
- 37:40Speaker 1: just a piece of shit someone just who's you know,
- 37:44Speaker 1: putting on their first suit and getting a little kinky.
- 37:47Speaker 1: Hey man, how about it? Do you all the power
- 37:49Speaker 1: to you, right, as long as you're not hurting someone
- 37:52Speaker 1: and everything's consensual mm hmm, and hump your little furry brains.
- 37:55Speaker 2: Out, Like I said, Oh my gosh, Ben.
- 37:57Speaker 1: People are humping their brains out, whether they're in a
- 37:59Speaker 1: first suit or or not. That's just how people are.
- 38:01Speaker 2: Good God, Okay, oh man, are you good? Yeah? I'm great,
- 38:09Speaker 2: Are you sure? Yeah? I just like don't even know
- 38:11Speaker 2: what the fuck to say anymore. Anyway, that was That
- 38:16Speaker 2: wasn't that was an episode.
- 38:17Speaker 1: It was a different episode for sure, And I did
- 38:19Speaker 1: really want to tell this story because it's one of
- 38:23Speaker 1: those ones that, like I said, there's not a lot
- 38:25Speaker 1: out there. It took me a lot to find the
- 38:29Speaker 1: Facebook post because it has now since been deleted, so
- 38:31Speaker 1: to actually find the quote of them talking about that.
- 38:35Speaker 1: Luckily enough I found. I'm gonna I hope I didn't
- 38:39Speaker 1: lose the person. Oh I might have. Anyways, I'm enough
- 38:43Speaker 1: to go back and find it. But I found someone
- 38:45Speaker 1: on YouTube who actually talked about this briefly on their
- 38:49Speaker 1: YouTube channel, like about a month after it occurred, and
- 38:52Speaker 1: they had a screenshot of that Facebook post.
- 38:55Speaker 2: Oh god.
- 38:56Speaker 1: And I went back into that user's Facebook history, who
- 38:59Speaker 1: was actually since their Facebook name. So it took a
- 39:01Speaker 1: bit of tracking down to find them, and it went
- 39:03Speaker 1: back to that fucking date and the post that's gone.
- 39:05Speaker 2: You were making an internet sleuth, oh you bet.
- 39:07Speaker 1: I was so my only source that I could actually
- 39:11Speaker 1: find of this post because every article I found was
- 39:14Speaker 1: just like talking about it or taking a little quote
- 39:16Speaker 1: here and there from it. The only post I could
- 39:18Speaker 1: actually find of it was this dude's YouTube video that
- 39:21Speaker 1: had a screenshot.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Okay, and we need like poor what was his name? Hernandez?
- 39:27Speaker 2: That's how it was Hector Hector. Holy shit, who the
- 39:30Speaker 2: fuck is Hernandez?
- 39:31Speaker 1: That was part of his last name. Okay, okay, no,
- 39:35Speaker 1: it's full name. I gotta scroll up to find it.
- 39:37Speaker 2: But anyway, I feel bad for him. Oh, it was like,
- 39:40Speaker 2: this is why you just don't trust anybody, like especially
- 39:44Speaker 2: like you just don't. Yeah, especially people on the internet.
- 39:47Speaker 1: Holy shit, Hector, Mendez Hernandez.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Okay, So I was just going by his last name. Yeah,
- 39:53Speaker 2: there you go there, Hector.
- 39:56Speaker 1: Yeah. No, I feel bad for him because I mean, honestly,
- 39:59Speaker 1: I don't know what situation, but he's clearly he's just
- 40:02Speaker 1: he's looking to have a good time. He's just maybe
- 40:04Speaker 1: he's looking for love or I don't know, maybe he's
- 40:06Speaker 1: just looking to just get off for one evening. I don't,
- 40:08Speaker 1: hey not judge it.
- 40:10Speaker 2: But he took a chance, and he took a chance.
- 40:12Speaker 2: He really didn't go well for him.
- 40:14Speaker 1: Yeah, he just trusted the wrong people.
- 40:18Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's he went.
- 40:21Speaker 1: He picked them up, he brought him home, and you know,
- 40:24Speaker 1: as far as he knows, they had a consensual thing
- 40:27Speaker 1: going on, and clearly there was something else they had
- 40:30Speaker 1: in mind. They took advantage of him, which is the worst. Yeah, okay, yeah,
- 40:38Speaker 1: hopefully enjoy the story. Hopefully you guys just go give
- 40:42Speaker 1: your dog a hug right now, because no dog, no person,
- 40:46Speaker 1: no one deserves anything like this. And yeah, I know this.
- 40:52Speaker 2: Okay. I feel like often after our episodes, my brain
- 40:55Speaker 2: is just going like wild, but this one, I don't know.
- 40:59Speaker 2: I feel different for this one for some reason, and
- 41:02Speaker 2: I'm not sure why. I think it's just like I'm
- 41:03Speaker 2: processing because it was a lot of new things for me.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Well, you didn't even know what a furry was.
- 41:08Speaker 2: I thought it was like a furbie, Like, is it
- 41:12Speaker 2: like a furbie?
- 41:13Speaker 1: No, I'm going to do a quick Google search here
- 41:16Speaker 1: just to bring up something. Actually, I'm not going to
- 41:19Speaker 1: show it right away, just in case some kinky stuff
- 41:22Speaker 1: comes up. Oh shit, I'm just going to google furry suits. Okay,
- 41:27Speaker 1: there we go. So no kinky stuff has come up.
- 41:30Speaker 1: So I'm going to bring this Google image over so
- 41:31Speaker 1: we can see it on the on the video.
- 41:34Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, I feel like I've definitely seen.
- 41:36Speaker 1: Yeah, like somebody some of these costumes are like insanely
- 41:39Speaker 1: like that's quality shit.
- 41:42Speaker 2: And some people are just like cause playing these because
- 41:44Speaker 2: they think they're cool.
- 41:45Speaker 1: Oh definitely, right, for sure. There's just another part of
- 41:48Speaker 1: that community, like there is an like there's there's niche
- 41:52Speaker 1: parts of any community, right, and there's a part of
- 41:54Speaker 1: this community that does this for a very sexual reason.
- 41:58Speaker 2: Others just hey, get going off al Express.
- 42:02Speaker 1: You probably can't. I can't imagine it would.
- 42:04Speaker 2: Be the best quality where I don't know this one, No,
- 42:10Speaker 2: go down that one right there?
- 42:12Speaker 1: Okay. Ali Express doesn't have the highest reputation for quality though,
- 42:17Speaker 1: does it.
- 42:17Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 42:19Speaker 1: But if you're going to do it like real quality,
- 42:21Speaker 1: that's when you want to get like handmade from a
- 42:23Speaker 1: custom commission like these individuals were doing.
- 42:26Speaker 2: But but they suck, well.
- 42:28Speaker 1: They do suck, but they're some of the suits they
- 42:31Speaker 1: built were pretty intense. I can see if I can
- 42:34Speaker 1: find one. And I do want to clarify this just
- 42:36Speaker 1: because they built these suits like they did a custom
- 42:40Speaker 1: order for a person, right, So these are not there's
- 42:44Speaker 1: nothing wrong with the suits. I just want to clarify that. Well,
- 42:47Speaker 1: no negative connotations should be taken from these suits because
- 42:50Speaker 1: it's hey, a person bought this suit.
- 42:52Speaker 2: True, No one's going to know.
- 42:54Speaker 1: Yeah, at the time, it was a reputable, reputable maker, right,
- 42:58Speaker 1: but the mak are still so well yeah after the fact.
- 43:02Speaker 2: No, No, I like, you're just like going down a
- 43:09Speaker 2: Google hole right now.
- 43:11Speaker 1: Live so sorry, it's just we're doing it. Here we go,
- 43:21Speaker 1: so here you can see like this one, this is
- 43:23Speaker 1: very much so showing that sexualization.
- 43:27Speaker 2: You don't fucking say see, and it has boobs.
- 43:31Speaker 1: It has boobs and a very volumptuous behind.
- 43:34Speaker 2: Uh huh huh.
- 43:36Speaker 1: But I mean, hey, I mean do that. All the
- 43:38Speaker 1: power to you, just as long as you're not fucking
- 43:41Speaker 1: hurting Hector.
- 43:42Speaker 2: Yeah, poor Hector. Yeah, I know, I feel And the
- 43:44Speaker 2: dog what was the dog's name?
- 43:46Speaker 1: Castile?
- 43:47Speaker 2: Oh god?
