- 0:10[SPEAKER_02]: I remember just being young, being a boy, wanting to play with dials and my aunts.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_02]: And just feel like you need to be playing, like taking it from me.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_02]: And I remember being so in love with something, but not being allowed to play with it or do it.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_02]: Femi is a place where boys can just do the hair.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_02]: They can do what they want.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_02]: We can make women feel beautiful.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of celebrities talk about you.

- 0:36[SPEAKER_02]: I took making that money on TikTok to now making over $250,000 in a month.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_02]: Like right now, let me see something.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: How would you receive out of the community?
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: Being a man who dressed like a woman, who was being us?
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: Pizzas people were.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_00]: Pizzas people were.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_00]: As a 15 year old, where it probably wasn't celebrated, but it wasn't the cool thing wasn't here.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: And then now, like you got millions of fuckers, you know what I'm saying?

- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: That is my personal number.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: I have been an author for over 12 years.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: I've written 10 books, four of them have been best sellers, and I've sold over 100,000 books.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: But I've also helped a lot of my clients take their expertise and put it into a story, then create multiple streams of income from that.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: So I wanna help you do the same thing.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: So text my book to six, four, six, six, eight, seven, four, one, five, two.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: I, let's go back to the video.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: So welcome to another awesome episode of Inside The Vault with Ash Cash, the greatest money mindset show on the planet.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_00]: Now, today's conversation is about ownership, influence, and the power of turning culture into capital because while most people scroll social media for entertainment, some people quietly build
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: multi-million dollar empires from the same platforms everyone else is wasting time on.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: Today's guest did exactly that.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_00]: He went from being a hedge dollars behind the chair to building a viral beauty brand moving over
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: 250,000 units a month on TikTok, Instagram, Shopify, generating millions and sales in less than two years, expanding into 250 beauty supply stores nationwide and opening up a 3000 square foot
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: But what makes this story powerful isn't just the success, it's how he used social media AI and culture to turn creativity into a scalable business.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: So today, here's what we're talking about.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: We're talking about TikTok, how TikTok can build a beauty empire, how AI is changing the beauty industry, and how entrepreneurs can turn skill into generation of wealth.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: This conversation is about vision, strategy and ownership.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: So buckle up because by the end of this episode, you might never look at social media or the beauty industry the same way.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: Ladies and gentlemen, round of applause for Cliff.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_02]: That was such a great introduction.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate it.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: I am so fascinated by your success.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: We talked off line.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: You made your first million dollars at 19 years old.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: You're doing millions of dollars in sales.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: I get, you know what I'm going to start with because I want to get into all that because I'm fascinated because you're not even 30 yet.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: So you've done all of this as such a young age.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: And so I want to dive into, right, we call it's inside the vault because like, if your mind said, like, what kind of mindset allows somebody so young to be so successful.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: But before we start there for those who don't know, who is Cliff Vermeer?
- 4:42[SPEAKER_02]: So Cliff Vermeer is one of the first hair stylists to ever just take social media by storm.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_02]: I started this when I was 15 years old in Delaware and high school.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_02]: I went to a vocational high school for college mythology.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_02]: And I just felt like I was always ahead of my time.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_02]: Like the way I have my mindset was my work ethic.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_02]: Like everything was just always ahead of my time.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_02]: Like when I was 15, I knew what I wanted in life.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_02]: I knew where I wanted to live.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_02]: I knew
- 5:10[SPEAKER_02]: The type of money I wanted to make the type of cars.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_02]: I wanted to drive the lifestyle like I knew everything at 15 You know at 15 a lot of people still trying to figure it out.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: I Look, I said that as a first million at 19.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I think what will be helped me with that is that I hung around a lot of women
- 5:29[SPEAKER_02]: in the salon that I worked at, they were like 10 years older than me.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_02]: So the standard that they held themselves who you know they had kids is the, I worked hard like I had kids too.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_02]: When they in a shop to 10, 11, 12 o'clock, I'm like fuck, and I'm in a shop to three, four in the morning, even though I got school the next day.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: And you started working at this wall at 15?
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, so I used to work in my mom's basement and then every salon and my hometown literally just like kept reaching out to me and I remember being 15 like Oh, I don't know if I can afford one 50 a week.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my gosh.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_02]: That's a lot of money.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I'm 15 that's $600 a month like what the hell But I remember the salon owner her name was Patience Patience and short me she was I clip you gonna make that money
- 6:13[SPEAKER_02]: And I remember before I started working in her salon, I was charging $45 a head.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_02]: She told me like, Clip, when you come here, you got to at least charge Stephanie or $80 a least.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_02]: And I did, and I was the one like three to four people a day, coming home from school, going to the salon doing hair.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_02]: And from then, it was just history.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_02]: Like I was always a creative person.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_02]: I always wanted to be at my mind when it came to hair.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_02]: Like I wanted
- 6:40[SPEAKER_02]: to change the narrative, because you know, back in the day like in the 90s and stuff, I was born in 1997.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_02]: However, I did my research and I paid my dues.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_02]: Being a hair stylist back in a day, you were only a hair stylist.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_02]: Like nobody cared about the hair stylist.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody wanted to know anything about the hair stylist, but do my hair and hey, let me book this appointment.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_02]: You stay behind the scenes.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_02]: So I knew that with my personality, just with how I moved, how I,
- 7:11[SPEAKER_02]: was a leader.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I always knew that I was going to be something big and I always knew I was going to do some big things.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_02]: And even like people like my mom and like my family and my friends, they always say like, Cliff, you were meant to like make a lot of money because the way you spend money, how you like the shop and you know, they just always have told me that.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_02]: So over the years, I went from just being
- 7:35[SPEAKER_02]: People here established like Cardi B, just some of her nandes, Tiffany Pollard, Jasmine Sullivan, like you know, a lot of big names and stuff.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_02]: But I knew that it just didn't stop there.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_02]: I knew I just didn't only want to be a celebrity here established.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_02]: I knew that deep down inside.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to these hair shows and people are falling out about the thing and I'm going to hair shows me and security.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, okay, this is bigger than just being a hair stylist.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_02]: So I took it, and I ran with it, and I created a brand, you know, Cliff Vermeer was not only a hair stylist, I started being a rapper.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_02]: It was a marketing artist.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it was a marketing tactic.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_02]: Like everything I did was a marketing thing, whether it was to make me dialers or just to make Cliff Vermeer be an overall bigger house whole name, I was doing it.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_02]: You know, so I did the music for a little bit.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_02]: And once I, I was doing the music, I was like, okay, I
- 8:32[SPEAKER_02]: I'm used to fast money like music if if I'm just based in my life off of music royalties and getting book from music, it ain't going happy.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: So I remember in 2022, did you stop doing here or you were doing both, wrapping in?
- 8:48[SPEAKER_02]: I stopped doing hair.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_02]: I had retired doing hair at, like, right before I turn 21.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_02]: And I had my own reality show with B.E.T.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_02]: called Wake Out.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_02]: And I remember, I just felt like I was the one top of the world.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I, like everywhere.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_02]: Go people like, oh my god, I, I think your show I watched your show, you know?
- 9:06[SPEAKER_02]: It was a really good feeling, but I also was bored.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_02]: Like imagine being on top of your game, you don't only want doing this, like, you know, it's just like, I'm bored.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_02]: Like, let me try something different.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_02]: So I started doing a music.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_02]: And the music was cool.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_02]: I had, well, really made me stop as I signed a bed deal.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, I wanted it so bad.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_02]: I wanted to be this big music artist and make all this money and stuff.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_02]: But I felt like when I did hair, I didn't go into doing hair for money.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_02]: I went into doing hair because I loved it.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_02]: When I started doing music, I was doing a music,
- 9:44[SPEAKER_02]: trying to get the money and I felt like my purpose wasn't the same.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_02]: But I wanted it, like I wanted everything that came with it and I was willing to do whatever it was that I needed to do to get where I was trying to go.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_02]: But that bad deal, it just was like an icing on a cake for me, like, I was just like getting it.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: What was bad about the deal?
- 10:04[SPEAKER_02]: It was just like, I felt like when I signed my deal.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_02]: was it a major or it was an independent label, but they had a deal, a joint venture deal with Republic Records and I always, I'm the type of person like you got three times a promise to me something before I'll be like you some bullshit and I just kept getting these promises and you know, you're going to get upstream then you're going to, you know, this and that and all we're going to get to a feature with this and we're going to do it like it would be music videos
- 10:38[SPEAKER_02]: Can I get a budget for my music video?
- 10:40[SPEAKER_02]: First of all, I'm not even used to X and nobody for no money.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_02]: Can I get a budget?
- 10:43[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, we're going to give you a thousand thousand dollars.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_02]: I do 30,000 out of music videos.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_02]: Like, where do we talk about?
- 10:49[SPEAKER_02]: So I still will be spending my own money.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm just like, no, I could do this on my own.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_02]: Like, so, think God originally, they try to sign me for three years.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_02]: No, they, they wanted like five years.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_02]: and then my attorney lowered it down to three, but then we actually lowered it down to 18 months.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_02]: So it wasn't something super long, but the label ended up getting dismantled, which by the grace of God.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_02]: And once they got dismantled, I'm like, you know what, Cliff?
- 11:22[SPEAKER_02]: You took like five or six years off.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_02]: and you've pretty much like bow down and you know, you let the industry be what it was, but I'm taking back with mine and I did that.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_02]: 2022, I softly tapped and I was getting my feet wet, I got my products and stuff.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_02]: I started just taking my products in another level because I always thought like, okay, it's but so much money, I'm gonna be able to make off of a $20 product.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_02]: You get what I'm saying, like it's like, okay, to make $20,000, I got to sell a thousand of these.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_02]: I can make $20,000 in a month doing hair and only do like 20 people.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_02]: You get what I'm saying.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, you got to move a lot of unions.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_02]: But I remember when I first started putting my mind to it, I was like, oh my god, I mean 15 k this month.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god, I mean 30 k then it was like, oh my god, I mean 50, like it was going up.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_02]: And then it was like, okay, product, just products in general, like I stop doing here.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_02]: Then it was like, when TikTok came around, I remember my manager, Amber, she just kept saying, because she stays on TikTok.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to be honest, I hate social media, because I just feel like people are so opinionated and, you know, whatever.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_02]: But she just kept saying, like, get on TikTok, let's upload the products now.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like, okay, girl, so we upload the products, right?
- 12:47[SPEAKER_02]: And I remember I uploaded a video and I linked
- 12:50[SPEAKER_02]: the silk enemies to the video and I hear like 20 minutes there and I'm like what the hell is this noise and what they like the first hour I probably had like 50 orders and I'm like wow I got to keep doing this so like freshly
- 13:10[SPEAKER_02]: I remember like, um, someone a rapper from TikTok actually reached out to us and was like, yeah, we want to onboard a cliff.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_02]: We want to make him be one of our creators.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_02]: We want to start bringing him the LA and do these live streams.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_02]: So I was doing live streams and you know, in one day, we was probably doing like 80 K on a live stream.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm not going to lie.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_02]: the live streams isn't no joke like that's not my link like we will literally go to L.A.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_02]: I will pay I like to do everything big so I'm paying for these sets my sets or seven thousand dollars I'm paying hairstylists to come out and I'm I'm paying for Airbnb's and flights instead of by the time I'm
- 13:49[SPEAKER_02]: leaving.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_02]: I'm spending at least 30k.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_02]: So at my eyes, I'm like, hold on.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_02]: I got to make it make sense.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_02]: Because me going there and making 80k, I should have been leaving with the whole 80k.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_02]: And then not only that I have to pay the agency, you know, it's just certain things that I just was like, no, as a business, I got to take a step back.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_02]: However,
- 14:10[SPEAKER_02]: Just naturally like I remember one time I was arguing with somebody and and one week I made $100,000 on TikTok just by my response like I had literally some shipping labels from people's orders and It was his viral song.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_02]: It was called e and by
- 14:27[SPEAKER_02]: Finita rapper and one of my team members took the paper and pulled it and asked that kind of least like 500 orders and we just kept it going and like people literally respect it that like they respect the grind they respect the hustle They see where I've come from just being 16 working in the salon and I just feel like now is just like
- 14:50[SPEAKER_02]: I took making that money on TikTok to now making over $250,000 in a month, like right now, let me see something.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_02]: Right now, just on my Shopify month to date, was today March 10th, I'm already at $117,000 in 10 days.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, it's just like, I feel like I'm watching in real time, my business just go up.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_02]: But with my business going up, it's a lot that comes into this.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_02]: It's like sacrifice.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, I stand on business.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_02]: I don't let anybody play with me.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_02]: I don't let people disrespect me.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even let people disrespect my team.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_02]: Like for instance, if you, you PS tells me, hey, you have an order.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_02]: You know, your package is coming today.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_02]: And my package won't come when this was the come.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I'm calling and I'm getting to the bottom of it because I feel like you are just being on your pees and queues, not only do I make a lot of money from it, but I invest a lot of money into my brand.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_02]: Like I opened up the first all-boy here, a song called Femi.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 15:58[UNKNOWN]: Femi.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_02]: is something that I never thought I could ever do.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_02]: I never even thought it was possible.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_02]: Like I literally took and spent like 175,000, and I opened up a salon.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_02]: It had five hair style stations, and then I have a stage two makeup artist stations, right?
- 16:15[SPEAKER_02]: And I remember being in there.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_02]: Our first two months and I'm like, damn, all of my boys, their followers are going, they get in money, day by and BMW's, I'm like, I gotta make this more of a legacy.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_02]: So I've extended it and I have literally 11 new boys starting.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm ready to help 11 new boys, black boys change their lives and show them the ropes and stuff and how they should and let people play with them and how they got a stand on business.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_02]: Also with standing on this news, you got to make sure you on time for your clients.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_02]: You got to make sure that you're looking at it from a customer's perspective.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_00]: So what was that.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: What was the inspiration.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_00]: What was the inspiration, right?
- 17:05[SPEAKER_00]: Like, like,
- 17:07[SPEAKER_00]: all male salon like what was the the aha moment that said this this will work because because you got to think right like it is the the hair stylist or the you know the hair industry is dominated by women yeah yeah for me it was just like I wanted to do something for the fellas yeah like I feel like
- 17:30[SPEAKER_02]: I used to work in a all girl salon and of course, um, a guy, but I dressed like a girl.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_02]: I wear the wigs and I make up and stuff, but I just wanted to do something different.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_02]: And I feel like a lot of times, boys are very, very talented, but I also feel like sometimes boys just need that little push.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_02]: Like I know boys that don't have big followers that can do some good fire here, but the audience need is that push.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_01]: You get what I'm saying?
- 18:00[SPEAKER_02]: So I just wanted to do something for the guys.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_02]: Like I feel like I remember just being young, being a boy wanting to play with dials and my aunt.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_02]: And just feel like you don't need to be playing like taking it from me.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_02]: And I remember being so in love with something, but not.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_02]: being allowed to play with it or do it.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_02]: So Femi is a place where boys can just do the hair, they can do what they want, we can make women feel beautiful.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, and all of that, I love that.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of style is stay behind the chair, right?
- 18:30[SPEAKER_00]: They're their entire career.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_00]: Talk a little bit about the mindset shift that allowed you to say, you know, I want to build this empire.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I just, I felt like I've put in so much work at a young age, like just imagine you're being a high school, getting out of high school, you're going to the salon and doing hair and you're not leaving till like three, four in a morning, I'm like, oh hell, not can live my whole life like this.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_02]: That tore up feet, hurt, and half and I got to hire practice and stuff.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm just like, look, I got to work smarter, not harder.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: And so, you know, the math wasn't math, all right, doing 20 here versus selling a thousand products.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: But now as you're seeing products are going crazy, if residual keeps working, why you sleep in things that need to, what should, what should, what process around that, around like?
- 19:27[SPEAKER_00]: physical work versus, you know, creating a product that can sell even while you're not working.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_02]: So I think that you definitely should do both.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_02]: And the reason why I say both is because you take what you're doing every day, you make the content from it, and you promote the tangible product.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_02]: So you get physical behind a chair, you show them people why
- 19:58[SPEAKER_02]: And then you use that to promote the product.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_02]: So now it's a win win.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_02]: So you're going to make it 20,000.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_02]: And you've also make it whatever.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_02]: Other thousand.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's funny because like, you know, my whole studio abundance, concerts, studios, a bunch of your birthright.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: I actually have this saying that says, and it's better than an org, right?
- 20:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like why choose.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean, when you could do when you could do all and you just got to do like you like you say do it all like not only now do I have.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_02]: I do hear sometimes.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_02]: I sell the products.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_02]: I have a full service to line.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's like, I need multiple streams.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to pass it down.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_00]: For sure.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_00]: And so let's go back to TikTok for a second because, you know, you mentioned, you know, you did a live stream 80,000, not fit a fitness heart.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_00]: from a social media perspective.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: What are you still doing live streams?
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: Is it just this content work better?
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: Just do content and do shop book content?
- 20:58[SPEAKER_02]: For me content works better.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_02]: But my team is trying to get me to start back doing the live streams.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_02]: I just be overly exhausted.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_02]: My mouth gets caught amount like I just be like, well, it was the longest you did.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_00]: You did a live stream for.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_02]: my 12 hours, yeah, and you got to keep talking to the people saying the same thing over and over and over again, you know, you get delirious, it's like love, y'all can have it.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_00]: But any day is, it's 12 hours.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I've done that before.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_02]: Like, just having a regular sale, like you already having a sale while you want live.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I could just be out enjoying my day or, you know, and run a sale.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_00]: Not for sure.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_00]: How is, um, you know, now with AI, right?
- 21:46[SPEAKER_00]: How have you incorporated AI in your business if you have?
- 21:49[SPEAKER_02]: I'm still trying to learn AI, the only thing I use AI for sometimes is if I have to send a form of message and I feel like I'm not getting out what I'm trying to say, like I feel like it's not piecing together, right?
- 22:03[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I bring AI in or if there's like a certain email and I feel like, okay, maybe I'm coming off a little too aggressive.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_02]: Let me have AI help me.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_02]: or if I need like a good caption for like a post that I'm promoting the silk enemies then I'll use a guy but I'm still learning a guy is a little scary yeah because it's like who is this yeah yeah but do you think um like in in most industries I think like when you think
- 22:31[SPEAKER_00]: Doctors, lawyers, like a lot of the industries in which you have to go to school and really kind of get an education for AI is kind of making it like obsolete if you will, right?
- 22:44[SPEAKER_00]: I don't foresee, I don't know, AI machines doing hair, but like do you think there's any type of type of threat to the beauty industry at all?
- 22:55[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely not.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_02]: And the reason why I speak to you,
- 22:59[SPEAKER_02]: You can't buy like genuine vibes.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_02]: You can't buy like when people buy my product, it's because they want my product, but they love Claire.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_02]: They want their hair like Claire.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_02]: If they want their hair super straight and silky, and the things I'm staying in the video, sometimes I make videos and I be cursing them out.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_02]: It's a marketing tactic, am I really cursing them out?
- 23:20[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm like, bitch, why the fuck you ain't buying this?
- 23:23[SPEAKER_02]: And they like that.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god, I just brought it, because you just cut me out.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_00]: You know it's right that yeah, yeah, why you watch my motherfucking pan Okay, it's it's marketing and it's funny though because I you know, it's one of the things like I don't know if it was really now I saw like one of these clips where like A. I was doing cutting here, right?
- 23:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's like I'm obviously ball headed, but I still and people people joke about me all the time Cause I go to I go to a barber every week right
- 23:52[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so every week I go to the barber, I make sure everything is shaped up.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_00]: And they're like, yo, you could do it yourself, but I'm paying for the vibe, I'm paying for the barber shop, camaraderie, like there's like, there it is, my family session every week.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_02]: And that's the thing like, even as a hairstylist, like sometimes like, women just want to sit down in an environment, get pamper, get beautified, have a conversation, you know what, they want to make the content, you know, so.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you can't do that with AI.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that was exactly how has like a lot of celebrities talk about you.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_00]: You have your access.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_00]: How has that helped your business at all?
- 24:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like, is there power and proximity?
- 24:35[SPEAKER_02]: Um.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_02]: slightly, yes, and the reason why it's because I feel like it's, it's a good look.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_02]: But financially, when I like post that, I'm doing these celebrities financially, it doesn't do anything for me.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_02]: It's more of a marketing standpoint for a cliff.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_02]: Not for Femi or the products is more so for cliff.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_02]: But again, the goal is to make cliff as big as possible.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_02]: Because even if like, let's just say next week, I was just like, oh,
- 25:06[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to do the hairpile of some money.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_02]: I want to do a cookware line.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_02]: We want to make sure cliff is as big as possible.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_02]: And his audience is as broad as possible.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_00]: Sure for sure.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_00]: I like that you said that because like you mentioned earlier, having multiple streams of income is like, if you don't do the things that build cliff up as a brand, you're not saying like, you know, not saying anybody could take the idea because cliff vibe is cliff vibe, but imagine other people saying, I like this idea or I like this product
- 25:36[SPEAKER_00]: Try at least that's that into what you're doing on this side and that cup potentially lower you don't say your income Yeah, right But imagine right you build up the cliff brand now if when they fall in love a cliff know you can't duplicate a cliff You could duplicate your potentially idea But you can duplicate the person so
- 25:56[SPEAKER_00]: So would you say, though, then, if I talk to my aunt as better than an oil, would you say anybody who started out whether it's the beauty industry or any type of business, would you say it's important for them to build their brand and build a brand separately?
- 26:11[SPEAKER_00]: Because I always hear people afraid of building their brand, like they want to do faceless brands, or they want to not be behind a camera, like what should they're doing now?
- 26:20[SPEAKER_02]: it just depends on like your character and if you are like a popular person if you're a popular person I would say build yourself in your brand but if you're not and you feel like people are not going to support you do a faceless brand and when you say popular do mean
- 26:37[SPEAKER_00]: like popular within you're like if somebody's starting out and they may not have the fame yet but like are you mean they're like oh your local celebrity or like like either or okay because I feel like that would reach stuff yeah translates like they love they love you know they love you yeah yeah okay okay um
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: most beauty brands, they struggle to sell products, right?
- 27:04[SPEAKER_00]: And what would you say is the secret sauce, right?
- 27:08[SPEAKER_00]: Because like moving a hundred K in 10 days is like that's nothing to sneeze at, like what's the secret?
- 27:17[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I just feel like it's my content.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_02]: It's my aura.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I feel like you've never seen nothing like it.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_02]: And I feel like that's why it goes viral.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_02]: That's why people are watching.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_02]: It's how sleek and clean the stuff looks.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_02]: The the installs and the styles are flawless.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_02]: And just my voiceovers, like, so when people are seeing it, they're like, a lot of bias.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_02]: I want my head to look like this.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_00]: How are you received by like the community, right?
- 27:43[SPEAKER_00]: Like I actually just like offline, but like I feel like I don't know.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_00]: I like I'm always excited about success, right?
- 27:53[SPEAKER_00]: Like like people who who create success, because I believe that my purpose of like God put me here to amplify voices, right?
- 28:01[SPEAKER_00]: Which is why like I like having a diverse you know, you know, you know, gas people who are just killing it in their space
- 28:09[SPEAKER_00]: people that look is possible, anybody could do it.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_00]: For me, I felt like I had a lot of firsts as well.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_00]: My background was a banker for 15 years, but I was a CEO of a credit union before I was 30.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_00]: I was one of the youngest in the country.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_00]: I was a VP at a bank.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_00]: I did all this major stuff, and I never really got celebrated, which is probably why when I look at young people doing their things.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: I always want to celebrate them.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_00]: like how would you receive by the community right being, you know, you know, a man who dressed like a woman who, you know, like, you know, like, you know, like the, the, the, the, there's a community embrace you that they, they, they embrace me.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I have a lot of haters.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_02]: They embrace them, you know, a lot of people like, you know, clip, you're so motivating.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_02]: I went back to her school for you or, you know, but even like when I first started, a lot of people would tell me that, like, clip, I went to her school for you.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_02]: Well, like, you are the reason why I started doing hair.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_02]: You were like, I was so inspired by you.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_02]: And it's still like that, but I feel like now it's time's time.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, so like, I mean, I know you mentioned like, you know, you're born in the 90s and I know especially back then like, I mean even probably now there's like a homophobia and things in that nature like like like how does it feel right like to be because I'm like able to embrace it.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I just think like as a 15-year-old where it probably wasn't celebrated but it wasn't the cool thing right and then now like you got millions of follow you're saying like like how does that feel?
- 29:48[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so when I was
- 29:50[SPEAKER_02]: 16 and 15 coming out.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_02]: I wasn't like this.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_02]: I was just like a regular boy Moha Yeah, and I wasn't even super flamboyant.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I even stayed here talking to me.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think I'm acting flamboyant I think I look flamboyant.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I act the same exact way So it never was like So do you have like a like a flamboyant act with no this is just a shoot?
- 30:13[SPEAKER_02]: Okay When I was younger I never really
- 30:19[SPEAKER_02]: got disrespected or in the reason why it's because I was in sports.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_02]: Like I bring I ran track and stuff, but you can fight.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, you know, you like, I'm like, look, not, not that because you all, but like, normally, like, I feel like when when like gay men go into a place, probably like with a straight man, you know, they, it's always like in bunches, right?
- 30:43[SPEAKER_00]: And, and, you know, me, me, my videographer was talking about it and it's like,
- 30:48[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like, and you can tell me if that's true or not, but like, I feel like they do that because you just never know.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you all know how crazy people are.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_00]: Like, so, so they have to be this level of camaraderie.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_00]: So when you came by yourself, I'm like, oh, like yo, you came by yourself, but your energy is tough though.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_00]: Like, energy is like, yeah, don't play with me like I know.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_02]: It's, um, I feel like people just like, even me, I'm not going like,
- 31:12[SPEAKER_02]: I do like I don't even travel alone, but it's not because of like being gay.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_02]: It's because I'm cliff in love for sure.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes I may like you see when I was in here, I was kind of getting distracted.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes people become an up to me.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god, can I get a picture?
- 31:26[SPEAKER_02]: And if I'm like distracted, yeah.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_02]: And I but like hold on one step.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_02]: Like you know, people would be like, um,
- 31:34[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, people are like, get offended like you know, so I always got to have somebody with me People like, like, please, you want to put your hair up or just yeah, because even myself at events like I'm like, I mean, I'm I'm 63 Yeah, I'm 300 plus players like I can fuck you know, so
- 31:51[SPEAKER_00]: So, so I have security when I have events not for the same reason, but like you don't say like, you have people who want people who might try you, but even even the pictures stuff.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_00]: Like I remember one time, you know, I was at Invest Fest, and I couldn't get a break.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_00]: They just kept asking for pictures, pictures, pictures, pictures, pictures, and so for me, like my studio, now he not taking no more pictures, because I can't say that.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if I say, you're taking them more pictures, not all of a sudden, you post them here.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_02]: You take time, but yeah, that'd be the reason why, um, but today, um, I left straight from home.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_02]: I just came here.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_02]: I got another one after this.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_02]: But sure.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_02]: Normally, I do have like some people, but today, I did want to be alone.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, for sure.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_00]: Let me go.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_00]: And is it like, uh,
- 32:36[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and this is just like just like for my knowledge though, but like being successful, uh, you know, being a gay man is there.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_00]: Is there a barrier to that?
- 32:46[SPEAKER_00]: Like like, like do you do face discrimination at all or everything is full or
- 32:52[SPEAKER_02]: I don't face discrimination to be honest, but I don't know if it's my vibe and my energy, like I don't do too much.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_02]: Like I know some people in my community like they can be a little, and they don't mean that they're my ages being them.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_02]: But sometimes like,
- 33:08[SPEAKER_02]: us being us, yeah, pisses people off.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_02]: So me, I have like a calm or like I have a lot of personality, but I'm very like thing.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_02]: So when, you know, straight man come around me, they're like, oh, you don't home me.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_02]: Like, like, you do not like how I thought she was going to be or you're not weird.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_02]: And I'll be like, no, you know, like, so, um,
- 33:34[SPEAKER_02]: I don't feel like I'm ever making anybody uncomfortable and I don't ever feel like I'm ever putting no uncomfortable situations.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, sure, sure, sure, sure.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think like the guys who get pissed off by, you know, you know, gay men being themselves?
- 33:51[SPEAKER_00]: Like what is that?
- 33:52[SPEAKER_00]: You think that's insecurity?
- 33:53[SPEAKER_02]: You think that's not a good one.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_02]: It could be a mixture of both.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_02]: I will honestly say sometimes I do know my community and sometimes like,
- 34:02[SPEAKER_02]: like, we can just be a little too free sometimes to free leave.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_02]: It just depends on the situation.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_02]: Like, if words are exchange and you know,
- 34:18[SPEAKER_02]: it's a sensitive topic, but I would say it's like a 50-50.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes they really could be uncomfortable because what could be going on and sometimes it could be an insecurity thing.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_00]: What would you say to somebody who
- 34:37[SPEAKER_00]: has made a lot of money right because you like I said you made your first million in 19 sometimes that could like like a break somebody right meaning like I've seen it over and over and over again young people get money and they don't know what to do right they didn't come from money they don't they don't know what to do and it breaks them to the point where they become somebody else right and they could never really
- 35:00[SPEAKER_00]: Um, bounce back and get that level of success.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_00]: You've been able to, which is dope, right?
- 35:05[SPEAKER_00]: You've been able, you made your first million, uh, two-year straight got popular.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_00]: Took a break.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_00]: and say, you know, I'm saying allow me to reintroduce myself.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, back, it's not a go on crazy again.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what would you say to the person who makes it for the first time?
- 35:22[SPEAKER_00]: Like, how do you maintain and keep building it?
- 35:25[SPEAKER_02]: I would just say always make sure you keep switching it up.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_02]: Don't ever get comfortable.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_02]: Don't ever, like, I even whip my boys when they come in this salon and he'd be like,
- 35:35[SPEAKER_02]: I'm tired.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_02]: I'll be looking at them.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like your mother fuckers don't know tired.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_02]: You don't work enough for me.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like don't let nobody outwork you.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_02]: Don't turn it into a competition, but always outwork yourself.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_02]: I want people to be tired because you sleep when you're rich.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_02]: You could kick your feet up when you got money.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_02]: You could kick your feet up and relax when you're in your 40s when you can retire.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_02]: Right now while we're
- 36:02[SPEAKER_02]: I'm out here a lot of times while we young and we have the ability to travel and do all these amazing things work work Why you can get your rest on certain days when things happen Cry for five minutes keep a pushing yeah, we not dwell on nothing we get into the money and it's an opportunity
- 36:24[SPEAKER_02]: does not like let's say if you go for opportunity and you keep getting their doors friendly and face.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, create your own.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_02]: Hmm.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I did.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's is that is that the vision like 40 retirement like from me.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't I don't I don't I don't know how other people look at it for me.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I want to retire by I'm for
- 36:40[SPEAKER_00]: And then you said, you said some earlier, right?
- 36:43[SPEAKER_00]: Well, like, you know, 15, I knew what my lifestyle, like, like, what's your thoughts on, like, visualizing, like, what do I feel like my lifestyle?
- 36:52[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, like, like you, like you, you kind of said that you visualized it, like you saw, you know, you know, where you want to live and all that stuff.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_02]: Well, right now, I feel like I'm only five percent.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_02]: And to where I know I want my lifestyle.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_02]: I really want to be like how Kim Kardashian and I'm a rich, but I want to walk out of my house and be like, hey, Kim, I want to have the big like 10,000 square foot home in Calabassia
- 37:22[SPEAKER_02]: 15 to 20 cars and just like, like, you know, hundreds of millions of dollars in my account and not a care in the world.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_02]: Right, right.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_02]: And I went like not only for me, I want ghost businesses where people don't know I'm the owner.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_02]: I want to own restaurants.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_02]: I said, people don't know.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_02]: I want so much money, but not only do I want the money, I want the power to.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_00]: And what, you know, ultimately like the money, the power, um,
- 37:51[SPEAKER_00]: You know, what, like, like, what do you want to do with it?
- 37:53[SPEAKER_00]: Power to do what to like, you know, just more power.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_02]: I just, I don't know because I feel like the more money I make, the more I invest in other things.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_02]: And I also invest in people.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_02]: Like sometimes I invest in my time and the people are, you know, like for instance, when I first opened up my salon, I took all of my boys on a shopping spree.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_02]: It spent $6,000 in the hair.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_02]: story.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_02]: So I do get back as well.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_02]: Like it's not always about me.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_02]: Like when these boys started my salon, I'm like, no, you need to pop your shape.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_02]: You need to post more.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_02]: I want to see you at this amount of followers in the next two weeks.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_02]: You need to go on a social media.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_02]: Like challenge every day.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_01]: I need to see post from you.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_02]: So not only do I like, I want to just do things where I can also get back.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I can see that though too, because even when you talk about, you know, opening up for me and what you do for your boys, like I think that you could tell, like you're passionate about it, it almost feels like like mothering even, like you know what I'm saying?
- 38:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like you take responsibility, yeah, like those are your kids, right?
- 38:58[SPEAKER_00]: Not, not, they're my kids, but not in like a bad way.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_02]: No, I get it, I get it, I get it, I really care about all of that.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_02]: And I really like wanting to see all of them win some.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_00]: For sure, for sure.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_00]: What's next though?
- 39:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like what's the vision?
- 39:12[SPEAKER_00]: What's going to get Clevver near to that hundred million billion dollars status?
- 39:18[SPEAKER_02]: So right now, well recently I had some auditions looking for the Thimi Boys, you know more Thimi Boys as member I was extending.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_02]: Originally I was only supposed to look for three or four.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_02]: I thought maybe like 20 people will show up.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_02]: 100s of people showed up.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_02]: I hired a production crew.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_02]: We put an episode out on YouTube.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_02]: I dig it approach a couple times, right?
- 39:41[SPEAKER_02]: But to me, everything got to make sense.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_02]: You can't say, hey, Cliff, we're going to give you $20,000.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to give you $50,000 and never, no.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_02]: I make that in a couple days.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_02]: I need real money.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_02]: I need my boys to get real money.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_02]: So, until somebody comes correct,
- 39:59[SPEAKER_02]: Now what I'm doing is I just shot a two episode pilot and I'm going to throw that up on you to I spent about 70 grand while giving these boys platforms and stuff showing them that is more to life outside of just being behind a chair whether you're a hairstylist or make up artists.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_02]: I'm showing these boys how you got to carry yourself and I'm just showing them the etiquette like that you need to maneuver through this industry.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_02]: You could be yourself
- 40:25[SPEAKER_02]: But I'll still learn how to have some etiquette.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_02]: After we do the pilot, I'm going to see if anybody else bites.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_02]: If nobody else bites, then I'm going to spend a half a million and just do a season and I'm going to pay all my boys and I'm going to put it on YouTube and I'm going to keep doing it until somebody bites the right way.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_00]: For sure, for sure, for sure, for sure.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_00]: And I think I have some ideas or two, I can talk to you a lot about because even
- 40:50[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, I kind of talked to you about this earlier though, but based on what you're doing and what you've done.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_00]: The education space is definitely in your future, like you can make millions of dollars.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_02]: I do want to do a seminar.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_02]: I want.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_02]: the seminar to be like call like get shit done seminar like where like literally every morning when I wake up you know some people they got like I wear that they just kind of score money phone sure for sure like I will wake up at six o'clock and jump straight up getting the shower and I'm out to do I'm on my way to the salon to like the contractors and then after that I'm going home deep on buying supplies then after that I'm going to back printing out ship available still my employees
- 41:34[SPEAKER_02]: Then after that, I'm going to go do a client out on a floor.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_02]: Then after that, I'm hopping on a press interview.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I will not be outwork.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_00]: And I can see that because I think similar, right?
- 41:47[SPEAKER_00]: Similar to how you built the beauty brand, and you were behind the chair, and now you have products.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like
- 41:57[SPEAKER_00]: There are so many people that could benefit from the education, what you teach, what you do, you know, with the funny boys, there's a formula, because it obviously works for you.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_00]: And then now you've created that formula for others.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_00]: Imagine, I'm an author and I help people with that.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_00]: So imagine, you know, to clip them here, book, write the guide and have it in that book.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_00]: Right connected to a community connected to, you know, courses and things in that nature.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_00]: So now when either somebody picks up the series or you do the series on your own, they get to, like what you said earlier, it's the best of both worlds.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_00]: They get to see you in action.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_00]: And then, hey, if you want, if you want instruction on how to do this, by the book,
- 42:44[SPEAKER_00]: Get the, get the course, join the community and then, you know, now there's a formal way of joining a post to having to have direct access, you know, to you.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know, with where you are today, right, if you could talk to 18-year-old Cliff, is there anything that you would have told him to do differently?
- 43:08[SPEAKER_02]: Um...
- 43:11[SPEAKER_02]: I want to tow him.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_02]: He was crazy as hell for even thinking about stopping.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_02]: And here again, however, I felt like when I stopped, I did go through a season of humbling, but it mainly appreciate.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_02]: Like this comeback was person and I'm appreciative of it and I'm not going to do anything to jeopardize my comeback.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm actually truly, I wouldn't tell myself anything.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_02]: I think I did everything.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_02]: I don't have no regrets.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_02]: I think I overly did my thing.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_02]: And I think I said a great example for the younger.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_02]: generation.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_00]: How would you say how does how does faith go inside your business?
- 43:53[SPEAKER_00]: Like how does it?
- 43:54[SPEAKER_02]: I always move by faith and not by saying like I always literally everything I do is on faith.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_02]: Like I remember even when I went and looked at the building I didn't see a salon.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_02]: I just seen a new warehouse.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_02]: And then I was like
- 44:11[SPEAKER_02]: You know what, maybe I'd do a salon with like three chairs in there, you know, some little smaller private and I told the guy I'm like, um, he's like, well, what your budget, my interior designer, he's like, what your budget, I'm like,
- 44:24[SPEAKER_02]: I'm transparent like maybe like 30k he like 30k please and I was like so what like 50 he was like let's do 60 we spent 175,000 and then I just extended it and spent another 75,000 so now we have a quarter million.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_02]: So I can honestly say from me doing that, it was a great investment just with my return.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_02]: All the equipment and stuff I had to buy, everything that goes into it, it's a good investment.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_00]: Sure, for sure, for sure.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_00]: Is there anything you're working on or any question I didn't ask that you like, you wish you would ask me this?
- 45:02[SPEAKER_00]: Or you're working on this?
- 45:04[SPEAKER_00]: I want to tell you.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_02]: No, because I don't like telling people what I'm working on.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's sometimes things don't go as planned.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_02]: And then people will be looking forward to it.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_00]: and then the pressure of life.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_00]: Well, what have you been saying?
- 45:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for sure, for sure, for sure, for sure.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_00]: What advice do you have for anybody?
- 45:20[SPEAKER_00]: Any entrepreneur, anybody?
- 45:22[SPEAKER_00]: Cause like, I mean, I think right now it's a very interesting time.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of distractions, there's war going on.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot right happening, beef, whatever.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_00]: Um, in my experience, inside that happens, that means lock in, put the blinders on and get busy, right?
- 45:41[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but there's a lot of people who are going through stuff, you know, maybe, um, deaths, maybe, again, looking at the wars, maybe sickness, whatever it is, if they're down and out, and then like, looking for that comeback, they're looking to, to get to the next level, what, what advice is Cliff giving them?
- 45:58[SPEAKER_00]: I would say,
- 46:03[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like number one.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_02]: I saw a lot of Eric Thomas videos because I watched some of his videos when I was younger and I remember just getting a different vision for myself and life.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_02]: Like I said, like, I want to do here.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_02]: But once he came to my high school and talked to us, I was like, oh, shit, I really want to do here.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I really want this.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_02]: But I feel like, um,
- 46:24[SPEAKER_02]: Understand that like life is in prominence and I always acts certain people like look if we were told the world was ending tomorrow Do you feel like you lived in your purpose and do you feel like you really maximize your Like even if you got a following Do you feel like you made money off of your following?
- 46:42[SPEAKER_02]: Do you feel like you really made a purpose or do you feel like you was always a space if you don't say you feel like you lived in your purpose And you feel like you've made your money.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_02]: You've lived the great life
- 46:52[SPEAKER_02]: you got some work to do.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_00]: And I love that.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_00]: I love that.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I think that's it.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_00]: Like I like I like I'm this was good.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_00]: You know, this was good.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate your energy again.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_00]: I like I you know, I salute you for your success because I you know, again, I love to see.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's easy doing it for it, not easy, let me not say that, but I know for me, like having self-success is easy because if you lock in, you can make it happen, but the fact that your new mission is like, I'm not only just doing it for me, I'm gonna show others that it could be done I do think though with your energy and who you are, you know, that's definitely the future is like building an army
- 47:35[SPEAKER_00]: You know, full of people who maybe have been counted out or may not have this support, but really kind of like leading them to, you know, to what's next.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_00]: So, so yeah, I love that.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_00]: I love that.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_00]: You know, definitely enjoy this interview.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_02]: If people wanted to follow you, if they want to find you, what can they find?
