- 0:59SPEAKER_00: Hello everyone! I um had some unexpected free time come up.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: Then I lost my mind.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: And then I was like, my alarm went off on my phone.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: And I was like, oh shoot, I'm supposed to be downstairs doing a live.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: My uh my kids, both of my kids, um, went off to church, and they have a wonderful kids program at one of our churches here.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: So they're gonna have pizza with their friends.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: It's fall break.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: So everybody, I'm sure, will be there um enjoying visiting with one another.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: I wanted to come out here and see if anyone had any questions.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: So let me get on here real quick for you.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: And let's see what it is.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: Oh, perfect.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: Um you don't need to hear me.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: We'll leave a couple minutes for everyone to come on.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: Uh, I have a couple of announcements, and um, I can't wait to answer your questions, and I do have a couple of things I would like to talk about in addition to the questions.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: Um we'll get started.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: This is Chick-fil-A, the one and only fast food restaurant that I'll eat at, and that's only because I know the franchise owner personally.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: Um, for those of you who don't know, in 2023 I almost died.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: Eating fast food on my vacation.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: So, um, hey Nikki, how are you?
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: Do you have any wonderful questions for me to answer?
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: I'd love to answer something instead of just singing it all by myself.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: I can talk, but it doesn't bother me at all.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: I have some things that I want to talk about.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Um, first and foremost, let's get some housekeeping done.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: Um, we'll wait another minute or two for someone else to pop in on here.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: Maybe it'll just be you and me, Nikki.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: Um, maybe it'll be a couple other people.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: Who knows?
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: But um, for those of you who do not know, uh, every year for the last six years in a row, I have given away one Structure Scale in Profit Cleaning Business Academy.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: Wait, um, I call it a scholarship.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: It's um fully sponsored by Clean Creeks University, and that one person gets to have some one-on-one coaching with me.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: Um, they have group coaching that happens once a month, is being part of the group.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: It does take 180 days to go through the program, and amazingly enough, this year it's been interesting.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: Last year we had 381 people apply.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: This year so far, hey Misty, we've only had two people apply for the scholarship, so the odds are forever in your favor.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: To quote, to quote the Hunger Games, may the odds be forever in your favor.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: What's the one lady?
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: I can't remember her name, she comes out and she um blasts people on social media for criticizing her, and she has the little trash can with the licorice straw.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: I can't remember her name.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: Hey Alexandria, um, she always says, uh, may you have the day you deserve.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: So um there's two reference points there.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: So if you have not applied for the structure, scale and profit cleaning business academy, please do so.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: I have confirmation, I'm gonna get those dates out very soon for the lives.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: I'm going to do my very first in-person event ever.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: I know, I know, I know, I know.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: Traveling has been difficult for me for the last couple years.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: If you guys caught my last live, I talked about why um I haven't been able to travel.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: You can look at that live and figure out what I'm talking about.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: I don't feel like rehashing the whole story.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: But in January, I'm having my very first live event.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: We're doing it right here locally in uh community center so that I can keep the price lower.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: And I'm super excited to do it.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be a one-day event.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: So if you are interested in participating, it's going to be train the trainer.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: So you can bring it's um for you and whoever your trainer is, and you can bring it to covers two people.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: If you need to bring in more people um because you have a larger team, it we'll we'll just add on a special prize for you to bring in the third, fourth person, whatever that is.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: I'm only gonna open it up to 20 businesses, that's it.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: Um, because I'll have only I'll only have one assistant.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: And then I'm hoping in 2027 to do three more live in-person events.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: We shall see um how this goes for that.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: But people have been asking for a really, really long time for me to do that.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: Um, does anyone here?
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: Let me check to see if anyone has any questions.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: Let's see.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: Any questions?
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: I want to apply if I can.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: Can you help me find the page?
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: Here, I'm gonna go in here and I'm gonna put that form.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: Um, it's actually on my website as well.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: I can get the website page later because you can't see it.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: You just have to have the link to the webpage.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: But here's the form for applying.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: Uh Google Forms.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: Let's get that in here for you really quick.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: And I'm just looking for honest what you think.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: Um there was some stipulation over the video.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: Um, just know that you will you'll be required to do a podcast.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: So we'll do one before and one after is what the deal is um for that, so people can see your progress, what the program was like, that type of thing.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: Um here is the link for you.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna shorten it.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: Sorry, my puppy's biting my foot.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: Here we go.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: Here is the link if you guys want to apply.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: Then legit, I just checked it.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: Two people have applied.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: Which shocks me.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: Um we'll leave a couple minutes.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: Um, which shocks me on so many levels, but it's just timing is all relative, right?
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: The right person is it's gonna be for the right person.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: So I'm excited to give that away.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: Um, does anyone else have a question?
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: Let me look here.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: Let's see if it works.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: Maybe it won't.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: Maybe it will.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: I hate when it locks it down.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: I want to see all of the comments.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: Okay, now it's showing me it this way.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: Oh, for the in-person event, yeah.
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: Canada, you can the Canadians have a really interesting dynamic because your country runs differently.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: Um, the the Canadians, um, anybody in a um Spanish country has a different way of running things.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: The Kiwis in New Zealand, oh my god, I had someone in Australia explain to me one time what it took.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: There are so many tax laws in New Zealand.
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: I don't know how any business makes it.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: It's especially if you have employees.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: The dynamics and all of the tax.
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: I mean, they what do they say?
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: The United States has what 800 and 800,000 new tax pages added every year.
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: It's the most confusing and boring information there is.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: Um, so there's that.
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: Does anyone have any questions before I just keep on rambling on?
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: We'll see.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: We'll see what the come here, you come here, come here, come here.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: Oh, here's my puppy.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: Oh, she grunts.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: She's like six months old.
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: This is Olive.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: This is my daughter's puppy.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: There we go.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: Um, let me see if you guys have any questions, and then I'll talk about what I want to talk about too.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: Hey Danielle, how are you?
- 9:02SPEAKER_00: Ebony, how are you?
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, I haven't heard from you in forever.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: So I'm going to ask a couple questions, and maybe you guys can respond.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: Maybe you don't have to respond.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: It's entirely up to you.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: Um, this is a like a random question.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: So I asked ChatGPT to help me ask a random question.
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: I was like, what can I ask randomly?
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: Because I talk about this stuff all the time.
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: It gets boring to me.
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: I'm like, yeah, whatever.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: Oh, right.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: Um, what's the one thing in your cleaning business that you keep letting slide?
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: Any takers?
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: Let's see.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: Let's see if anyone answered.
- 9:59SPEAKER_00: Hello from California.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: So for me, the one thing that I will usually let slide is following up on coats, admittedly.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: And you're going, what?
- 10:13SPEAKER_00: I residential, it is my Bible, right?
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: It's the commercial ones.
- 10:19SPEAKER_00: Sometimes I get busy and then I start to overthink it.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: And then I'm like, well, because bidding commercial up here in northern Arizona is way different than southern Arizona, which we will talk about um going forward, what's going to happen in 2027 with my with one of my businesses.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: But for now, I just, you know, we have a lot of other small businesses, and it's it's a whole it's a budget thing.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: And oftentimes they're looking for this incredible, they're worse than housekeepers, the house cleaning industry.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: They're looking for this incredible thing to happen, and they don't want to pay for at least the ones I'm finding.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: There are a couple of larger businesses up here, but they typically are hiring in-house because I've followed up with them.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: But I I admittedly I had an opportunity to bid on some cell stores.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: I'm not going to name the names, but I didn't follow up like I should have.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: And I was like, then two days passed.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: I'm like, should I follow up?
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: Should I do I want this?
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: Do I not want this?
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: So that's the one thing I um sometimes let slide depending on what I have going on.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: Does anybody want to contribute or have a question about that?
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: It seems to be like it's 10 seconds behind on Facebook on the can on the laptop.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: Marketing.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, I think when I first stepped into this industry, we actually Alexandria was part of it.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: We used to have a marketing thing that met once a month, and we would talk about Canva templates.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: That's how long ago that was.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: There is so much to marketing.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: The thing I have learned the most, this is true, 1000% true, is consistency.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: And it could be the same small ad that you run over and over and over and over and over again.
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: But being consistent, if you cannot be consistent, you can always hire it out.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: But then you don't know if they're really hitting, you have to have a path, right?
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: A path from A to B.
- 12:27SPEAKER_00: And if you don't tell them specifically what you're looking for, and you're saying, okay, I have this much money, I'm gonna throw money at the wall and I hope it sticks, they're gonna be like, oh, thank you, you're gonna give me a thousand bucks.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: Um, a lot of AI has taken over a lot of those small menial tasks.
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: I don't know what any ROI is because I haven't spoken to anyone who's using entire AI to um to facilitate their marketing, at least anyone who's willing to share with me.
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: You know me, inquiring minds want to know.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: Um, I still think that the best way to market is to network person to person.
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: I know that people are like, oh my god, it's so time consuming.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: It is, but I live in a small town and it works.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: So if you live in a smaller town or you live pretty rural, um networking matters a lot.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: I actually got an inquiry because I get pitched.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: I get 25 to 55 pitches every single day for the podcast, believe it or not.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: I had someone's AI pitch to me.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: Quiet.
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: The AI pitched to me, and then if I didn't respond, then it would let it go.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: But I was just like had this whole conversation with my mom this morning about well, so that AI pitched to me, does my AI pitch back?
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: I mean, how does that you know what I mean?
- 13:53SPEAKER_00: How does that work?
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: It went so I get that it's alleviating a task, but if you're really wanting to pitch to me, it needs to kind of be like, hey, I'm the person pitching to you.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: Uh this is my idea, my concept.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: What do you think?
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: But uh I that was the first, it was the first time I had AI pitch to me and I didn't have an AI response because I don't have anything hooked up to AI.
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: I have the chat form, which is for the podcast, and that was huge for a long time.
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: When you were a guest, I made you do the DocuSign, so I finally have upgraded four years in.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: But um, so marketing is uh a thing, and you can and and you don't want to, and I know this is a very touchy topic, you don't want AI to generate a flyer like everybody else's flyer.
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: It's kind of reminds me of Friends when everyone had Jennifer Anderson's hair haircut and everyone had the same bob, everybody.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: It's just like I'm just gonna do the same, so then you start seeing the same things over and over again.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: So you have to be pretty savvy if you're gonna continue to use AI.
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying don't, because it's a great tool, but you need to make it so it doesn't look like everyone else's because I I see 50 of them every day on um my Facebook feed, um, and they all look the same, except for they're just different colors.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: Some are pink, some are green, some are beige, some are black and white, some are sparkly.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: But you should be posting, and you need um some sort of digital calendar to post um for you.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: Um, so and without going on and on and on and on and on and on about marketing, um, I know that the algorithms have changed for Google um Google ads.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: So make sure that you've done the research on what that change has happened because AI came in, grabbed it, and then ran off with it, and then um, you know, Google League Services is still trying to catch up.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: I was really surprised.
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: And they sent an email.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: If you have um, if you ever advertise with them, they sent an email out in I want to say it was August letting know that there was a change, which is nice because in the past, when there was a change, you were left like with your pants down, like, oh look, there's a change.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: What do I do with this change?
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: How do I fix the change, right?
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: So um, there's a lot of things, but consistency is key with marketing for sure.
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: Um, Danelle is asking, yes, everyone hates seeing the same AI ad.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: So make your AI, you can still use AI to generate your ad.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: Just make it more you.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: Like with my Chat GPT, it knows my personality.
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: I'm like, that doesn't sound like me at all.
- 16:58SPEAKER_00: And then I actually start with a prompt and I write a lot of my, believe it or not, I write a lot of my stuff, and then I have ChatGPT enhance it or maybe restructure the sentence because in my mind, my mind goes faster than my mouth and definitely faster than my typing.
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: I'm like, oh yeah, I wasn't meaning to say that.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: So it takes practice, definitely.
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: Um, who else?
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: Last minute cancellation.
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: So, to know what you can do to prevent last-minute cancellations if you haven't already done so, is the contract clarity bundle has very basic templates.
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: You just download them, copy-paste, put them into chat GPT, or put them in a Google Docs if you if you're not familiar with AI, and put in a cancellation policy.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: Say effective January 1st.
- 17:48SPEAKER_00: This is what the cancellations policy is gonna be.
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: With your legacy clients, sorry, hold on.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: Hey, hey, hey! Come here, stop.
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: I should have thrown you out before.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: Come here, come here, come here, come here, come here, come here.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: Stop! Stop! Okay, so with your contracts and your cancellation policy, you need to have one.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: Um, everyone has one here.
- 18:16SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna put her out.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: I apologize.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: No sassy pants.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: Let's see how messy the bookcases are.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: Um stop, I don't want to pet you either.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: Um, so you have to have, like with every business, right?
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: You have to have a cancellation policy.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: When you cancel the trash, we have waste management here.
- 18:43SPEAKER_00: It wasn't something that I signed up for.
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: I got married into it because patriot disposal sold, right?
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: So when you cancel them, you have to give them like 30 days' notice, and it's because they run in quarters, right?
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: And nobody understands that it's an actual business, it's not a hobby.
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: Patriot disposal came into fruition because they got he used to work for the city of Prescott and he got stuck, he got it stuck to him too many times.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: He's like, I'll start my own thing.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: You would see him, he would be in the Christmas parade, and he would be he Paul Revere and the whole USA was very patriotic.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: Um, but he sold to waste management.
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: So there's a difference between cancellation with patriot disposal.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: You could call up on the phone, hey, I no longer want it.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: Now, with waste management, they don't want you to cancel, they make it very hard.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: It's like getting a divorce.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: So um, having a firm cancellation policy is super important, and it really sucks because you're gonna have people who test you, right?
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: And what you can do to prevent the bleeding, because they don't see it as you're eating income, they just see that they're being inconvenienced, is if you have someone who disrupts your schedule a lot, you just pull them off the schedule and say, Hey, I'm just letting you know you've canceled the last three times, I'm pulling you off the schedule.
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: It seems like you're going through a lot, whatever it is, there's usually an issue.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: When you're ready to get back on the schedule, let me know.
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: And just pull them off.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: That way you're not continually going and billing them.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: Um, if they're a really good client and you've had them a long time and they're more established, then you can say, Yeah, I'm really sorry, but I'm gonna have to ding you for this.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: I have to pay my cleaning tax.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: You don't want you want them to get paid, right?
- 20:22SPEAKER_00: And you just put it on back on them if they become a problem or they come, you know, and sometimes sometimes it becomes a whole thing where there's an emergency, it's a it's a case-by-case basis.
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: Sometimes you just don't charge them, but you do give them a warning, and they have to either sign for it in Jobber because I use Jobber, or they have to have already signed for it because I have some older clients who were on that original contract.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: I have them in a digital copy inside my computer because they'll say, I never signed anything.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: I'm like, Yes, you did in 2018.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: What's it this?
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: What isn't this your signature?
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: So, um those are ways to get around to having um the cancellation policy.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: It sucks because you have to pay the mommy and nobody wants to be the mommy.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: You just want to come in, do your job, and leave.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: I just want to get paid.
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: I just want to get paid.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: Does anybody else have any questions about the cancellation policy?
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: Your ladies are not wanting to work because you're probably giving them too many houses.
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: Nikki, so are your are you working in solos, devils or triples?
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: How is that working out for you?
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: Right, and then Danella saying um she does have one who is problematic and she's terrible at enforcing it, and she just says thank you for letting me know that you were sick.
- 21:51SPEAKER_00: There are legitimately, if I was still out cleaning in the field and I showed up to someone's house and they were sick as a dog, I'd be mad.
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: Because then I'm gonna bring it back.
- 21:59SPEAKER_00: Whether even if you glove up and use a ton of rubbing alcohol, you're still breathing in whatever they got, right?
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: And if if my mom was living me, she's 80, she has a compromised immune system, she's very sensitive.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: You can't go around her when you're sick, you have to wait.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: So um you can let them five.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: Usually, you just usually give them one, and then if they have more than one, then say, look, I'm gonna I'm gonna have to ding you on this one.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: If you would like to for me to pull you off the schedule after this, I'm happy to do so because that implies that you're still gonna make them pay.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: And then um Nikki was saying her lady is not wanting to work, so I need to know if you're working in solos, doubles, or triples.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: Let's see what the computer says.
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: So two, three houses a day for one point per four per house.
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: Um, three houses is a lot.
- 23:03SPEAKER_00: Uh, you might want to consider going down to two houses in a day with a team of two.
- 23:08SPEAKER_00: Uh, three houses is a lot for a team of two.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: Um, a team of three could do three to four homes, but one person drives, and I don't know if these are W2s or 1099s in your country, but then you have to provide a vehicle because one person.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: Driving everyone around, and then they complain about Susan spilling soup in the back of her car, and then Martha is arguing with her boyfriend, becomes like a whole thing, right?
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: So three houses a day um is a lot for a team of two, even if they are 1.5 hours because they're getting they're loading, unloading, loading, unloading, loading, unloading, and then depending on if they're driving back to your location or if they're taking it home, um, that's that's a lot.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: So something to consider.
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: I would also consider what your company culture is.
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: I have a lot of podcasts, I think there's like six of them on company culture and how important that is, what your mission statement is, um, super important, and pay.
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: Pay is very important on what you're doing.
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: Uh, let's see, it looks like something else popped in here, but you know, Facebook does its thing.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: Yep, nothing news there, but that's that's basically um what I would see for your problem of them not having to work.
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: They're they're doing too many, especially if you're doing five-day work weeks.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: Um and are they being paid in between?
- 24:34SPEAKER_00: How is that working out for you, Nikki?
- 24:52SPEAKER_00: Let's see if there are anything new showed up.
- 25:05SPEAKER_00: Okay, so you're letting them drive company cars.
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: How many teams do you have going out every day, Nikki?
- 25:21SPEAKER_00: I don't see any other questions.
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: And then for those of you who don't know, I ranked, I was doing some research on some stuff, and um Cleaning Business Life ranked number seven out of 40.
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: I didn't even know I was on the list.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: I was like, hot damn, I'll take what I can get, right?
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: And then when I looked at it, the only person who um I was in direct competition with, like podcast-wise, was the Brandon.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: I call them the Brandon Brothers, even though they're not brothers because they're both Brandon's.
- 25:55SPEAKER_00: And they work in triple, so they have a different business model, so um, it's a little different for them.
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: Um, so they would be above me.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: So technically it was number two, but I'll take number seven any day.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: I was on the top of like top 40.
- 26:07SPEAKER_00: I was like, whoa! So I've had some pretty cool things happen um like that.
- 26:15SPEAKER_00: Any other questions for me?
- 26:21SPEAKER_00: Let's let's refresh the screen.
- 26:29SPEAKER_00: Oh, thank you.
- 26:31SPEAKER_00: So me and another car.
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: They get paid from the first to the last rag of the day.
- 26:41SPEAKER_00: Okay, so they're you're paying them by the day.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: So um I would figure out what that day rate is, and I would start to pay them out whatever that day rate is.
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: Um that if you're not doing that already, uh, it's easier to pay a day rate than it is to pay them while they're in the house, then you have to pay them a different rate while they're out of the house, then they're in the house, then they're out of the house.
- 27:04SPEAKER_00: Um so you have two cars, you have two teams of two going out.
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: Nikita also was a good number.
- 27:18SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Shannon.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: I work with my daughter and get frustrated when they go to two or three homes.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, it's if you're doing, I've spoken to some of you, and you're like, the poor girls are working four houses every day.
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: I'm like, oh my god, are you working till like seven, eight o'clock at night, and they are like, yeah?
- 27:37SPEAKER_00: I'm like, that's too long.
- 27:38SPEAKER_00: You're gonna burn yourself out, you're gonna burn them out.
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: They're never gonna come back.
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: Even if you give them a high five and a fist bump, they're gonna be like, this lady wants to burn me to death.
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: It's hard on your body.
- 27:52SPEAKER_00: You guys all know cleaning.
- 27:55SPEAKER_00: If you're all cleaning, it's physically demanding.
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: You need to be doing yoga that stretches your muscles and your back, and you need to take magnesium every day, every day without fail.
- 28:06SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, Janelle saying to Nikki, I thought three was also a good number.
- 28:12SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Shannon, to work with my daughter and get frustrated when we only go to two or three homes.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: I you need to have more helpers.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: So if you're in another solution too, is if you're working with your daughter, then you could have a third person and your daughter could work solo, believe it or not.
- 28:29SPEAKER_00: I know it's scary to them initially, but she could work solo and she could work two houses by herself.
- 28:33SPEAKER_00: I have plenty of people who work two houses every single day by themselves, believe it or not.
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: So that might be something you think about as well.
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: Does anyone else?
- 28:43SPEAKER_00: I'll take one last question.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: Any other questions?
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: Okay, so you're paying them$20 an hour and then you're paying taxes on them, right, Nikki?
- 29:01SPEAKER_00: I'm trying to refresh myself on how it works for you guys up in Canada.
- 29:10SPEAKER_00: I actually spoke to someone who is paying a commission based.
- 29:16SPEAKER_00: So I was like, so is that the same as a 60-40 split?
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: And in their mind, if they did a good job, they got a higher commission.
- 29:26SPEAKER_00: So it was kind of like paid for performance, but a little bit different.
- 29:31SPEAKER_00: And everything was dependent on the customer review.
- 29:35SPEAKER_00: I'm like, this sounds really complicated.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: So they're gonna they're gonna get more information and get back to me, but I don't know.
- 29:49SPEAKER_00: Okay, I'm gonna have to check one last time and then I'm gonna have to say goodbye.
- 29:54SPEAKER_00: Let's see.
- 30:02SPEAKER_00: Alright, I don't see any other questions.
- 30:06SPEAKER_00: Thanks so much for tuning in, you guys.
- 30:09SPEAKER_00: Um obviously, if you have more questions, you can reach out later.
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: I'm just late for a date with my husband.
- 30:15SPEAKER_00: Talk to you guys soon.
- 30:17SPEAKER_00: Take care.
