Topeka High School’s 24th annual Chimes Concert turned historic this July 4th, marking America’s 250th birthday with a patriotic spectacle unlike any other. As the only U.S. school still operating a tower chime set, Topeka’s chimes — played for 24 years by Jerry Anderson — rang out to a record-breaking crowd, now joined by the school’s drum line for the first time.
