- 5:16[SPEAKER_02]: from two to three.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_02]: So courtesy of Aaron Jers construction.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_02]: You know who paid a rare visit?
- 5:26[SPEAKER_02]: Johnny was just in here a few minutes ago.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_02]: He introduced me to a DJ friend, Aezoo.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_02]: I guess works down at Whistler.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_02]: He's on the square.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_02]: But Johnny wants me to have a, you know, remember the old plate, and I could have he had on route three.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_02]: And he used to have those foam parties there.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_02]: That was long before picked in Ireland.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_02]: It was bumping and grinding, and I went in there once at a hot day, man, it was a little frightening.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_02]: I was a little put off by it all, but anyway, he wants me to have a foam party on Pearl Street.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_02]: Was that?
- 6:02[SPEAKER_02]: Ah, would that be appropriate?
- 6:06[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't know if it would be, but I guess he wants to make use of his foam
- 6:14[SPEAKER_02]: ah, let's see, you know, I, I told you this story of four years ago, but I was filling out to say annual thing we had to do a payroll report for disability for the state insurance fund.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_02]: I hate doing it because you've got to look up, you know, just writing down numbers basically, but used to be years and years ago, and they still why it elistmail and female employees.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_02]: And I think it's because the rate was higher.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_02]: with insurance on female employees because of maternity, I don't think it's right to penalize one gender, but you still have to identify the number male and female, but there's a third category, non-binary or third gender.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_02]: And I look at that and I say, what's that mean?
- 7:01[SPEAKER_02]: And what would it do to your, was it a factor premium?
- 7:05[SPEAKER_02]: Does anybody know, I probably should know.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_02]: But how do you say, unless someone comes to you and says, I know you're making a filling out that form.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_02]: And I want to be listed as non-binary.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_02]: Now, the names aren't listed anyway.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_02]: But if you went up to an employee and said, do you want to be listed as male, female, or non-binary?
- 7:31[SPEAKER_02]: That could be trouble right there.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_02]: Kind of stupid.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_02]: uh... you know the governor said i know she's going to have this executive order instructing all the state agencies to uh... review all the rules and finds and regulations and try to simplify my you know in theory it's a great idea and i wish you're well more ideas and we've heard out of blaceman but thinking today today was a good example
- 8:13[SPEAKER_02]: I, you know, ideal with bureaucracy all the time.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_02]: And like the liquor authority, the service from these liquor companies gets worse and worse and worse.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_02]: They don't deliver weak on end to small clients.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, you're supposed to buy from them.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_02]: So anyway, another stupid rule is you can't sell liquid and beer in the same place.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_02]: So a lot of these stores are combination deals.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_02]: by the roundabout there and there's blinkies and then there's the one next to it, the beer store.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_02]: Now this morning I had to pick up something and I just happened, the lady was just walking from the liquor it over back to the beer because they have one clerk for both.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_02]: And I didn't understand why, you know, the money, but what's the difference whether it's sold in one room or not?
- 9:08[SPEAKER_02]: All these little rules we have.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, crazy.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_02]: We'll never get rid of them all.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_02]: And I knew you could go down through agency after agency, after agency and find stuff.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_02]: We tried that in the city back years and years ago.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_30]: We did get rid of a few silly laws that were on the books, but I don't know how much good it did.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, I just saw in the news that there's a county bus service started.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_02]: They got six buses.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_02]: According to less shock, they're four routes, 1500 miles a day.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_05]: You know, it's just the right around, wouldn't it?
- 9:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know where they go or what they do or what the rules are or anything else.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_02]: Be kind of an interest or our listeners, I would think.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_02]: The many we have all around the county and so on, but I don't know where the bus goes.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_04]: It's for people who live in the hinterlands, you know, where they, yeah, the hinterlands.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_02]: But other than that, I know nothing about it.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_02]: They had a ribbon card in yesterday.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_02]: I think the buses didn't look to be painted up or anything, but I, or any, I don't know.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_02]: I just saw the story in passing, don't know anything more about it.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm not a news man, I'm not going out looking for news, I just, you know.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_02]: You think they could have dropped off like a brochure on it, I would have read off the roots or something like that, but, well, you know, we're kind of held in a low regard here at the hotline.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of low-brow.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I would get these people like we did the other day when Brian called us.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I don't listen to you show, but somebody told me you said, that's a hell of a way to start a conversation.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_02]: You should start it by saying, I listen to you religiously, and I just want to correct something.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_02]: Because then I'll like you, but if you if you call in, live on here and say, well, I never listen to you show, but somebody told me, you said, well, first of all, it's a lie because you are listening.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_02]: It's just that it's a guilty pleasure.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_02]: People don't want to admit to it, they don't want to admit, if you're in a cocktail party up at
- 11:46[SPEAKER_02]: Dr. Kimbles, someplace like that, you don't want to be saying to the elites, hey, did you hear that on the hot line this week?
- 11:56[SPEAKER_02]: No, no.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_02]: No one of the legislators just texted me a link on them.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_02]: I'll look it up for five time.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_02]: Ah, seven, five, five, twelve, forty guy, good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, I, yes.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_05]: I'm county legislator from District 10 and I've been champion the whole bus route system and I can answer any of your questions Oh, okay.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you got what six buses or something?
- 12:32[SPEAKER_05]: Well, there's six buses, but there's only four routes.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_05]: You've got to have two, you know, for maintenance and things.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_02]: So, so where'd you get the buses?
- 12:41[SPEAKER_05]: The buses were through a 1531 grant through the state in New York
- 12:46[SPEAKER_05]: five thirty one grand.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, now can you describe the four roots?
- 12:53[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, absolutely.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_05]: One route is called the C-way route.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_05]: We go to the river communities of outspading Clayton.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_26]: Mm-hmm.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_05]: And then we have the black river trail that goes to Carthage.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_05]: have a route that goes north, become a newer, connects with the St. Lawrence County Transportation there.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_05]: And we have a South Jeff corridor that runs down Route 11 as far as saying this creek.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, that's pretty good.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_02]: Now what's the time table on these things?
- 13:28[SPEAKER_02]: What are the roads?
- 13:30[SPEAKER_05]: You mean the day?
- 13:32[SPEAKER_02]: What's Monday through Friday?
- 13:34[SPEAKER_02]: Monday through Friday, right?
- 13:36[SPEAKER_05]: Correct.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_05]: Monday through Friday.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_02]: And what hours of the day?
- 13:44[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was like 90.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_05]: I'm listening on the radio and I'm hearing you talking to somebody there about- Well don't have the radio line because there's a delay in the confusion.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_05]: You're asking for the question.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_02]: What time of date did they start?
- 14:07[SPEAKER_02]: Is it 90am?
- 14:09[SPEAKER_05]: Well they're actually earlier than that.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_05]: The self-jet supply for instance this morning, which I wrote, was in Sandy Creek at 55 this morning.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, that's early.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_02]: So it's called Jefferson County Public Transit.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_02]: Is there any linkage to the city buses or is that separate?
- 14:35[SPEAKER_05]: Absolutely.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_05]: We'd link to the city bus.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_05]: They've been part of our task force.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_05]: We'd link to
- 14:42[SPEAKER_05]: St. Lawrence County Lewis County and S. legal county.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_05]: That's why we go as far as Sandy Creek and we go north to Governor Newark to connect with those two counties.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_05]: And, of course, Lewis County, they're the standard of this.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_05]: We've been working closely with them to coordinate their routes.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I always wanted to go up to Governor and see the mayor up there.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_02]: He's a nice guy.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_02]: So, uh, yes.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_02]: We'll have to do that.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's good.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_02]: It's what $2 to ride it.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and that's round trip or one way or how does that work?
- 15:20[SPEAKER_05]: That's round trip.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_05]: While it gets you transferred to one of our other county buses, there's no additional fee.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_05]: Of course, when you get to the city, you're going to have to pay their fairs.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_02]: Right, right.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_02]: So, Now, I assume they operate on a schedule.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_02]: Where do you get the schedule again?
- 15:37[SPEAKER_02]: Is that the schedule?
- 15:44[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, all right, I'll try to look that up and see what it is there.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_02]: Ah!
- 15:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, somebody sure does.
- 15:56[UNKNOWN]: That's called publictransit.com.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_02]: Publictransit.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_05]: The scheduled are all on there for all four of the routes.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_05]: And we have connected Jefferson County
- 16:14[SPEAKER_05]: connection will be run by our VTC.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_05]: So if people live, we don't we call it the first mile last mile away from the the route.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_05]: VTC can transport people to a bus stop and catch the bus that way.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_05]: We're trying to accommodate all our rural communities.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_02]: Well that's good.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of these places are, you know, out in the middle of nowhere and they are disconnected.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_02]: And that's great, and probably, well, that's so good.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, are there like written schedules you give out or posters or anything like that?
- 16:53[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so we have cards that I can't, I think I'll put the website is the best, uh, uh, uh, teachers, because you can, you can click on any of the routes and it breaks down where that bus is throughout the whole day.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_05]: So there's, there's four different schedules.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_05]: You just click on one and it'll give you all.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_05]: they have like a locator on the bus you can see where it is if that is coming and i get it's not available right now but we just discussed it actually this morning when i was right meant the bus yeah so you got an election down there don't you yes i do now are you still on the ball and i know that other guy that spike guy wondering i've been in i've been in doors by the conservative party so i will be on the ballot in no
- 17:43[SPEAKER_02]: well that's interesting and it well in an election like that the party line doesn't matter much anyway so good luck to you on that I don't know the other guy but you know okay spike is a good name for a politician it's like if you can use those I like spike lawn signs it's pretty catchy yeah well some signs down here
- 18:10[SPEAKER_05]: I'm the experienced one.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_05]: I've got 33 years in county government 26 years retired military.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_05]: I'm a retired lieutenant colonel.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_05]: I think that's an asset in the military space colony.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm served three years.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_05]: I'm a president for it.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_05]: And I've involved in a lot of activities.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_05]: They're court expansion, homeless nest.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_05]: And this has been my name.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_05]: These are transportation routes.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_02]: Well, good for you.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_02]: I appreciate.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_02]: Now, speaking of the airport is the restaurant open yet.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, that's where we're anxiously waiting to see what Shannon has.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_02]: All right, but the rest of the airport looks nice from the road.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't been in it yet, but it looks like a nice building.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_05]: Finish the last bit of paving out there, or finishing that up, and if you guess it's looking nice out there, it really is.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_02]: Well, good, good.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you guys have all on gallons of all done a great job, and we appreciate it.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_02]: hopefully people will use your bus service okay well thank you legislator appreciate it yes thank you right out all right that's legislator bullio from down in Adam's district ten uh... yeah that's one of the we don't like contested races in our local governments but that's one of the ones that is remember he got in the office he beat that Jeremiah maxon four years ago or something
- 19:39[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, yeah, the spike guy running against him.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_02]: So anyway, good luck to all of them.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_02]: And good luck to the bus service.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_02]: Huh.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_02]: And you don't even have to have a guy anywhere to go.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_02]: You can just ride around on it.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_02]: For two bucks, sit there and read a magazine.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_02]: What if you want to do?
- 20:04[SPEAKER_02]: Drop your off and go oven to work.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe you have lunch with the mayor, huh?
- 20:10[SPEAKER_02]: over at nine is someplace like that come on back already seven five five twelve forty the phone number if you'd like to give us a call to be on the air we'll talk about whatever you want um we'll get into that thing in Maine I know you don't like things like that because it's politics and but that's kind of our focus here and I don't know I think that platinum guy
- 20:39[SPEAKER_02]: I love these people say he's not qualified.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_02]: Well, according to the Constitution, he has 30 years old.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_02]: That's all he got to be.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, he won the primary overwhelmingly against the incumbent governor, 72 percent.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_02]: And here they force him off the line.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_02]: They got these two women who came out.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_02]: They didn't have anything to say before that.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_02]: But all of a sudden,
- 21:09[SPEAKER_02]: Jake Tapper had an epiphany and he's not in there, you know, and they're throwing a rape word around the way the Democrats throw pattoe pattoe or something like that with Republicans yeah, same thing and uh... i don't know, i think i was never investigated, never arrested, never indicted never tried, never convicted of that crime but uh... and frankly i think if he'd stayed in
- 21:39[SPEAKER_02]: This would have blown over to, it was most of this stuff was known anyway, this is just a couple of permutations on the story, but I got to tell you, that's a raw deal he got, you know, and now what's going to happen, or if we were to have a mini convention in Maine and 600 people are going to be there and they're going to nominate somebody, it's, you know, it'll be picked by the bosses, and I think platner was right, I mean,
- 22:10[SPEAKER_02]: I watched him speak, you know, read me populism, Marxism stuff, I mean, you may not agree with it, but they voted for him and they liked him.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't know, I just, it's disturbing, but the Democrats, they had to get rid of him.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_02]: Because they got all these other Marxists and Communists, everybody winning primaries.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_02]: And it started to, you know, make them look bad, you know.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_02]: So they had to get rid of this guy and they pushed him up.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_02]: But, not always the doughnut, it's always what happened.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think he would have gotten out if it had just been.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_02]: They were pulling financial support because he was capable of raising money.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_02]: And certainly had a popularity.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_02]: I think what they did do them.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_02]: is they got state AG, or maybe a district attorney in Portland or something like that, just sort of go to him and say, well, you know, the statute of limitations on that particular type of crime, I didn't pass to you.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_05]: And we could initiate an investigation and have you indicted by election day.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_02]: And you'll probably be convicted to at least a couple of years.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_02]: Now it's like, now let's sleep in darks lie.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_02]: So anyway, 755, 1240, the phone number if you'd like to give us a call to be on the show of shows today.

- 25:01[SPEAKER_15]: You know, bad websites are wild.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_15]: Don't I mean, some websites have sliders moving in five directions.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_15]: I'm not browsing.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_15]: I'm trying to survive.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_15]: You know, one time I clicked contact us and got a PDF, a PDF, I mean, Uber, you, and stock photos.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_15]: Wow.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_15]: Why does every bad website have the same guy in a headset, spy like an absolutely nothing?
- 25:26[SPEAKER_15]: Who is he?
- 25:27[SPEAKER_15]: What does he do?
- 25:28[SPEAKER_15]: Why is he everywhere?
- 25:31[SPEAKER_15]: You know the sad part, most business owners don't even realize their website is the punchline.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_15]: You know, while they're losing customers, their contact form is playing hide and seek, and their home page loads like it's powered by dial-up internet.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_09]: Your website should build confidence.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_09]: I'm material for stand-up comedy.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_09]: Talk to a webbie at Kaufflin before your customers laugh their way to a competitor.

- 26:59[SPEAKER_18]: Come see us.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_07]: around the corner, around the continent, around the clock.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_07]: This is the news in talk authority, AM-1240.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_07]: W-A-T-N. Hey, I'm 1240 W-A-T-N, back here.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just looking at that website for the bus service.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_02]: Kind of interesting, all the information's on there.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_30]: Yeah, if they get cheered, whatever they're tracking on those, that'd be really neat.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_02]: That'd be very new wave.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_02]: Um, let's see what else is going on here.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_05]: Um, you know, bus services.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's a nice amenity.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_02]: But it's always going to be a bit of a lost leader because there aren't really enough people who want to go from one spot to another spot at the same time.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_02]: But I think it's a nice, you know, nice service for people.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_02]: And that really is what government's supposed to do.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_02]: But if you do not run here.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_04]: Good afternoon, Jeff.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_04]: I was very surprised to hear you say on the air this morning that you have not visited the new bitnilly built watertown international airport.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_04]: It's a beautiful, beautiful facility.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_04]: The county did an awesome job at building it and the old building of course is going to be the restaurant and you get out and see it, it's something that's heated geothermal
- 28:25[SPEAKER_04]: It's got a huge emergency generator that would do a fantastic job in an emergency.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_04]: The emergency helicopter hangers right next door for, you know, the medical emergency evacuation waiting services, and there's cell phone parking and modern amenities, the gateway covered access to the to the restaurant that is yet to be opened.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_04]: And it's something that the county area should be proud of.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_04]: It's a tremendous improvement.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_04]: So get out and have a look at it.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_04]: All right.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_04]: Manity's too for families and all.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_04]: Keep up the good work there at Community Broadcast.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_02]: Well, thank you.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, yes.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_02]: Speaking of airports, you see the Palm Beach Airport as a five o'clock.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_02]: This morning became known as the Donald J. Trump International Airport and the little tags have DJT on them now as they're simple.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how they pushed that through, I thought, now up in this area, we would never name anything after a president, except the county we did, but a school superintendent may be, but not a president, we could name that the, well, I guess we can't have two Donald Trump international airports.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_02]: and then there'd be a lot of opposition here seven five five twelve forty the phone number if you'd like to be on the air today talk about whatever you want within the bounds of good taste of course
- 30:18[SPEAKER_02]: more fighting over in the middle east uh... that's great they had to switch planes with the president yesterday that i think they were i think they have a security scarce that they had i don't think we should have taken that new one or that plane from kittar or cutter whatever it is uh... oh
- 30:48[SPEAKER_02]: public moodness of the water town of hotel twenty-seven-year-old man from North Carolina the hampton and what did he do police say the defendant did knowingly and intentionally exposes
- 31:16[SPEAKER_02]: in the presence of an employee.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_02]: And what did he do?
- 31:20[SPEAKER_02]: Now, was he exposing himself or just taking a leak or something?
- 31:26[SPEAKER_02]: There is a difference.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_02]: 755, 1240, the phone number.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_02]: They'd like to give us a call to be on here.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_02]: Well, let's see, here's a suspect judge after trashing a TV and video gaming console.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and he swiped a wall at two.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that ice cream sounds like a good thing.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_02]: And free ice cream over it.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_02]: North Elementary today, two to three.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_02]: Bring the kids over.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, 755, 1240, our phone number, if you'd like to be on the air.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_02]: And, uh...
- 32:18[UNKNOWN]: Okay.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_02]: Talk to you about any subject.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_02]: Um...
- 32:24[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what was that.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_02]: You didn't have any thoughts about that thing in Maine?
- 32:32[SPEAKER_02]: I know it's not here.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_02]: But sometimes it is a national story, and that Senate seats very important, I think it probably helps over the Democrat is.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_02]: But on the other hand, there could be an enthusiasm problem among the more liberal Democrats.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_02]: So anything could happen.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_02]: But I think for whatever you may think of Platner and the things he said,
- 33:04[SPEAKER_02]: he did win the primary by a big margin and yeah they they screwed him but after doing here on the air and you know who really looks to put this in all this and somebody's going to immediately say what are going to change here i don't nothing to do with it Eugene Carroll
- 33:35[SPEAKER_02]: like Jill Brand and all the others, that's my man.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_02]: And then all of a sudden, Jake Tapper has an epiphany he was with some woman, and then another woman came by and Jake had another epiphany.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_02]: And all of a sudden, the guy's got to get out.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think he should have.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_16]: people know that there is a free concert on the South Lawn at Trinity Church tonight at 6 o'clock.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_16]: The group display as a Garland City Siddlers.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_02]: Hmm, Trinity Church, huh?
- 34:17[SPEAKER_16]: Correct on Sherman Street.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, sorry.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_16]: Marky in the city lot in the back or if you're going to camp the long street by the church.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, well that sounds great.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_02]: What time was that again?
- 34:28[SPEAKER_16]: 6 o'clock.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_02]: 6 o'clock.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_02]: okay sounds good okay thank you ma'am but after dinner on the air hi Jeff I just heard you know something about the free ice cream today or the Flynn Cole yes brought over north elementary yeah they're they're not open today well the pool's not I think isn't the ice cream from two to three
- 34:59[SPEAKER_04]: Well, they didn't have it one day when it was open, but the pool's not open, so I don't know.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe they're still going to have three ice cream, I'm not sure.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_02]: I believe it is, yeah.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I mean, the pool's close, so I just, I didn't know if maybe somebody from the city could call it, you know, but it is open or not.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's close to Tuesday and Thursday, that's a brilliant move, isn't it?
- 35:22[SPEAKER_02]: Whether it like this?
- 35:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I know, for $30,000, they couldn't keep it open.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_02]: some real brain surgeons over there.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_02]: I'll tell you.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_04]: Well, just let it let you know, Jeff, thank you.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_02]: All right, thank you.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I assume it's still going on from two to three.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_02]: We have a note here, says talk about it.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_02]: So I talked about it.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_02]: Well, if you want to get in the water, you'll have to go up to the park.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_02]: Huh, 755, 1240, are phone number?
- 36:02[SPEAKER_02]: What's your eye on the air?
- 36:03[SPEAKER_02]: Why don't we take a little break here?
- 36:04[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, we got a call.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_02]: But after doing your eye on the air.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_30]: Yeah, are you talking about the ice cream?
- 36:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_30]: I heard it was at the playground, not at the pool.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_30]: I know there's just a little bit of a difference, but I heard it was at the playground.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_30]: And so it's got nothing to do with the pool being closed.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_02]: Sounds good.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_02]: Well, open everybody.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_02]: He goes over and enjoys it.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_07]: All right.

- 39:24[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, and from now on, I'm always driving.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, I see it, I see it.

- 39:40[SPEAKER_07]: Thank you for listening to the station that listens to you.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_07]: The news in top authority, WATN, AM-1240.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, I'm 1240.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_02]: You know I was mentioning the governor wanting to reduce paper work and bureaucracy.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_02]: Then I was also mentioning this annual payroll of reporting for me after fill out for disability insurance.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_02]: But you know, and that's enough to give them information
- 40:08[SPEAKER_02]: And then you got to split it up between the first half of that year and the second half for a benefit of the family leaf payments.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_02]: And then, yeah, and then, the comp is a different, that's like May 15th to May 15th.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_02]: Now, why do you even have to do that anymore?
- 40:26[SPEAKER_02]: Like unemployment insurance, if somebody files against your policy, you don't have to fill out that form anymore of what they made each week.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_02]: They just know.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_02]: a lot easier.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_02]: But you know, if you're in the bureaucracy, you're not going to think about, well, why do we have separate reporting periods for basically the same thing?
- 40:54[SPEAKER_30]: They don't look at it that way.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_02]: They look at it as, well, we've always done it this way.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_02]: So, I don't know, we'll see what the governor does with their efforts to reduce bureaucratic bloat.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_02]: 755-40 the phone number if you'd like to give us a call, let's see, I'm not going to read about the guy who damaged the PlayStation, I don't remember that.

- 41:37[SPEAKER_02]: You know, how many times is Trump going to present Trump going to say that Iran wants to deal?
- 41:44[SPEAKER_02]: They want to deal.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_02]: They don't want to deal.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_02]: They just want to have this little back and forth and make money off, you know, France, it fees and oil and all that.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_02]: Crazy.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_02]: Singer, Bonnie Tyler, total eclipse to the heart, remember that song?
- 42:09[SPEAKER_02]: over in the UK, and she passed away.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_02]: That's too bad.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_02]: One of those songs, remember listening to?
- 42:23[SPEAKER_02]: Well, let's see what else have we got going on.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_02]: That's about it, I guess.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_02]: Any activities that you want?
- 42:31[SPEAKER_02]: Anybody's running this weekend?
- 42:34[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, you have the French Festival.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_02]: down in Shumou in three or Cape Vincent.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of little extra time because there is that crazy detour out my three mile bay.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, that's, that's an impediment.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_02]: But I guess that's a nice event every year and all the pastries are ever else they have there.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_02]: Good afternoon.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_02]: It looks like great weather too.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_02]: Great weather.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, is it going to be great weather?
- 43:12[SPEAKER_02]: Well, look.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_02]: You don't even have to be a weather.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_02]: Have a weather man anymore.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_02]: You just look at your phone.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the wind both Saturday and Sunday, sunny and 80, 82.

- 48:25[SPEAKER_02]: I assume there's a fair number on some days.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_02]: I certainly get a lot of feedback on the street, but I can't really put a number on it.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_02]: It would be dressed that, just putting a number on it.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_02]: Let's see.

- 49:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_02]: 457 million.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_02]: And cash value is 255.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_02]: And after taxes, you get 106.8.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_02]: Now, there's nothing wrong with 106.8 million.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_02]: But it just goes to show how misleading it is when they say the price is 4507 because it isn't really.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, let's see, anything else that's on your mind?
- 50:09[SPEAKER_02]: Here on a taco bell is pulling ingredients off the menu as an explosive diarrhea parasite cases emerge.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_02]: That's not very, well, it's in the New York Post, I'm sure it hasn't come up here
- 50:26[SPEAKER_02]: But that's all we need is one more problem like that.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_02]: Volcanic bowel movement or something, you know.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_02]: Oh well.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_02]: So what do you think of the new Air Force one, you think?
- 50:44[SPEAKER_02]: Was it my understanding as he took it?
- 50:48[SPEAKER_02]: They're gonna use it for a little while and then he wants to put it in his library when he retires.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_27]: I don't.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_02]: I know Reagan did it, but there's supposed to be a new one out of order from Boeing.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_02]: So, put a weighted for that, but no.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_02]: And then they're ripping up that reflecting pond again.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_02]: Now, what the hell went wrong there?
- 51:21[SPEAKER_02]: And we got half the
- 51:28[SPEAKER_02]: Why couldn't they just go into like Sundance pool or something like that and said, you know, we got a problem here.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_02]: Got all this green water and everything like that, and what can we do?
- 51:39[SPEAKER_02]: Surely there'd be something.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_02]: Obama tried to fix it years ago, spent a lot of money, Trump tried to fix it, spent a lot of money.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_02]: Now we're ripping it up again.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody wrote it.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_06]: No, we didn't hear it.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, let's see what it was.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_02]: Angry man told Granny thinks people are upset with his comments in a hotline.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's not true.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_02]: The angry man speaks truth to power.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_02]: People like hearing what he has to say.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_02]: He gets worked up, but darn it, you should get worked up.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_02]: Because you know, you're never going to accomplish anything in life.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_02]: Unless you get mad.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_02]: The first thing you got to do is get mad.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, just like Howard Beale told you.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_02]: Open your window, stick your head out, yell, I'm as mad as hell.
- 52:38[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_02]: That's not a bad idea.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe we should get the angry man to lead a different get everybody to do that in water town.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_02]: Some nice evening or something.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_02]: Got it.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_02]: Kind of clever.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_02]: I guess.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I saw a good friend next door here.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_02]: He was, uh, coding his driveway.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Mr. Patista.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_02]: Nice guy.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_02]: Those are the council meetings.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_05]: Get some set with City government.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_05]: Speak out.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_02]: They don't pay much attention to him, but.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_02]: Interesting guy.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_02]: But anyway, he was out there with about 32 buckets of that black stuff trying to
- 53:30[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, that's a lot of work on the hot day, but I guess if you're trying to save money, you've got to do it.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_02]: Well, there's anybody used to do bus service yet or would use it?
- 53:53[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I don't know if they did a use study to see who would use it.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_02]: Usually what you do, but I, I hope people use it.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe they won't, maybe they won't, I don't know.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_02]: Of course I try, I guess.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, really how much the city buses get used.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_02]: But again, for those who need them, I guess it's a good idea.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_13]: No.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_05]: room.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_02]: There's a call.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_02]: What have you been down here?
- 54:35[UNKNOWN]: Hello.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_03]: You're encouraging people to look at carry when they go by in the Pearl Street pub, but you also have a advisant of be careful not to take their eyes out the road to the road.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_03]: And then, so they don't wipe out the front of your eyes.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_02]: Oh.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_03]: The stand will show you at the end.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I hope not.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, what?
- 54:55[SPEAKER_02]: What do you think of carry?
- 54:58[SPEAKER_03]: Pretty nice.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_02]: I would say so and nice person too.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_03]: And angry man all says to buy these homeless people, I take it out of the bus, take it out of the county.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_03]: Now he's in for a pretty cheap for $2 a piece.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I think we, I don't know if there's still around the homeless, have you seen any today?
- 55:30[SPEAKER_03]: I have a man up at the town telling me, so I don't know if they're around the day or not.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I imagine.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I would imagine too.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_02]: Well, let's do bad, really.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_02]: Warm weather like this, kind of.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_02]: Well, any extreme warm or cold, it's difficult, so.
- 55:52[UNKNOWN]: Right?
- 55:53[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what the answer is.
- 55:54[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we got plenty of buildings in town and plenty of money out of it.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_02]: See why we don't do something.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_02]: There's always an excuse for why we can't do it.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_02]: And never a reason why we can't.
- 56:08[SPEAKER_02]: I've noticed that.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_03]: Probably that new building on me now has the air condition, don't it?
- 56:16[SPEAKER_02]: Right, I don't know.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_02]: It might.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if it does because
- 56:29[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, Harry says the free ice cream is at the north playground.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's coming up at two o'clock.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_02]: So get get on over there All right, all right Talk to you later.

- 57:04[SPEAKER_02]: So, 755-1240, the phone number, would like to be on the air today, and City Council canceled its July 13th work session, not enough issues.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_02]: You know, that's probably the case, but
- 57:25[SPEAKER_02]: On the other hand, why just go in there and sit and talk?
- 57:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_02]: Last week, I don't know.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_02]: Ever since the budget sessions have been over, I'm not really listening anymore.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_02]: Just the same three people get up and talk at the beginning.
- 57:47[SPEAKER_02]: I remember years ago when Joe Spano used to always speak,
- 57:56[SPEAKER_02]: Well, now there's a couple of new people, but they're saying the same things.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_02]: And then there's a guy with the sidewalks over in Francis Street.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_02]: How many years has he been saying that?
- 58:12[SPEAKER_02]: Sidewalks are never going to change.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_02]: I know where he lives.
- 58:17[SPEAKER_02]: He's a nice guy, but that into the street.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_02]: There's not many people using sidewalks.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know, well, okay, well, we're getting towards the end here kind of a positive cause today I'd say not a lot of exciting topics.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, things going on around the world certainly, but not a lot of things going on here.
- 58:49[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, there
- 58:56[SPEAKER_02]: that constant, you know, agenda being race, little skism in the Republican Party, I heard about yesterday.
- 59:02[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_05]: Gary, just text in.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_02]: I appreciate you.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_02]: Well, of course you did.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_02]: Why wouldn't you?
- 59:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we'll get into that tomorrow on a show.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe tomorrow is not Friday.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_02]: The week is coming to an end.
- 59:19[SPEAKER_05]: There.
- 59:20[SPEAKER_02]: We have it, no.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_02]: Well, this kind of weather, I don't blame it if you're out somewhere.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, you can bring the radio with you, but the internet and all that, or transistor, no, nobody has it, was it anymore?
- 59:38[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, that's our show for today.

- 59:42[SPEAKER_02]: He'll have the live at five show.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_02]: You don't want to miss it.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_02]: And I want to remind you, as I always do with this time, you're listening to the hotline of America's favorite noon time talk show.
