- 2:57SPEAKER_00: There's something powerful about that one word.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: Finish.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: Anybody can start something, but it takes determination.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: It takes discipline.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: It takes dedication.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: It takes divine strength to finish the race.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: You know, many people start a race, but not everybody crosses the finish line.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: My God.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: Many people start a marriage, but not everybody stay committed.

- 4:09SPEAKER_00: But I came with a word today to tell you.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Don't stop now.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: Finish.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: Finish what God started in you.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: Somebody might be saying, I've been praying, but nothing has changed.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: I've been serving, but nobody appreciates me.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: I've been giving, but I'm still struggling.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: I've been believing God, but I'm getting tired.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: But I came today just to remind you.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: I want to remain, remind you.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: I want to remind you that being tired doesn't mean you're defeated.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: And being delayed doesn't mean you're denied.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: Paul gives us two powerful promises in our foundational scripture.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: Paul reminds us that God finished what he starts.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: In Galatians 6 and 9, Paul reminds us we must not quit before the harvest comes.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: You put these two scriptures together and you discover this truth.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: God is faithful to complete his work, and we must be faithful to continue ours.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: The work that he started, that he gave us to do.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: If you you near somebody or you're by yourself, I don't come, I didn't come this far to quit.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: This just tell them.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: Just lift your hands.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: I didn't come this far to quit.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: Ain't no quit.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: Ain't no quit in me.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: Oh, it's gonna get hard.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: Oh, hallelujah.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Jesus.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: Anything good is gonna come hard to read.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: You gotta go through it.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: You want that degree in school?
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be hard.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: You're gonna have to sacrifice.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: Yes, you do.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: You're gonna have to uh uh what they burn the midnight candle?
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: Midnight oil.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: It's gonna cost you something.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: But in the end, the reward will come.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Jesus.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: Yes, when I I I I I look at that word finish and I I say got the elf and finishes faith.
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: Believe God will finish what he started.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: Being confident, it says, of this very thing.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: Notice Paul didn't say, I'm hoping.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: He didn't say, he he says, I'm confident.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: Confidence means having a subtle assurance that God is able to do what he promised.
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: Paul wrote these words while he was in prison.
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: His circumstances was different.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: But his confidence in God remained strong.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: Well, hallelujah.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: But this is the confidence that I have in him.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: Anything I ask in his name, he'll do it.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: It's confidence.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: I'm confident that God is going to bring something, bring something good out of bad.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: He understood that circumstances does not determine God's ability to fulfill his purpose.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: There's three particular things we must learn from Philippians 1 and 6.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: First of all, God is the author of the work.
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: He began transforming the work of salvation in our lives.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: He's the author of the work.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: He's the author and the finisher of our faith.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah, hallelujah.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: Number two, God is the sustainer of the work.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: He continues to strengthen, to correct, and to develop us.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: Glory be to God.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: And number three, God is the finisher of the work.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: He will bring his work to completion in Christ.
- 9:14SPEAKER_00: Hebrews and 12, 12th chapter in the second verse, it says this, looking unto Jesus, the altar and the finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him and do at the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand, right hand of the throne of God.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: Jesus is not only the author, but he's the finisher.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: Lord, thank you, Lord.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: When God starts working on your character, he doesn't abandon you because you make a mistake.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: And we will make mistakes.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: Yes, right.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: I may not dot every I across every T.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: Oh, hallelujah.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: But God is there to help me.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: Even when I make mistakes.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: I heard Donnie McCluck and as he song, that song, we fall down.
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: Oh that Macia.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: But we get back up.
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: We all make mistakes.
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Jesus.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Lord.
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: That's why they put erasers on the pencils.
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: We make mistakes.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: But thank God.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: He don't, God doesn't throw us away.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: He tells us to get back up.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: Try it again.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: God starts developing your faith.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: He doesn't uh stop because you encounter a storm.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: And storms will come.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: But he shows us how to deal with storms.
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: Remember when the disciples were all on the ship and they had a big old storm that came up.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: And Jesus was down in the bottom of the ships fast asleep.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: And they was up there panicking.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: Praise God.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: Just like us today.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: Storms come.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: You know, we praise God.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: Oh, hallelujah.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: Glory to God.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: We love God.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: Everything's running smooth in the church.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: We're all doing good.
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: Soon as a storm comes.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: Soon as a financial storm comes.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: Soon as a confusion storm comes.
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: My God, we start scratching our head and wanting to give up and talking about the situation to everybody, bringing everybody in.
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: But Jesus wants us to have some peace in the midst of the storm.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: He came up, got out of, and came out up there, they woke him up.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: And he looked at the storm and said, Peace be still.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: And went on back down there and went to sleep.
- 12:27SPEAKER_00: And he asked the boy, said, Oh, yeah, little faith, why do you doubt?
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: Oh, hallelujah.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: Well, somebody said, Well, Pastor, I haven't gotten there yet.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: I don't think I have either.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: Matter of fact, I know I haven't.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: Some storm comes to shake you.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: But you know what?
- 12:48SPEAKER_00: I've learned this.
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: You give me time, I'll recover.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: If I can get with God, talk to God about it, amen.
- 12:56SPEAKER_00: Just pull my heart out to him and give it over to God.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: I'd be alright.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: Praise the Lord.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Jesus.
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: Because some storms can come to rock you.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: Some of we can deal with, and then some, oh hallelujah.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: The death of a loved one, oh hallelujah.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: That can be a big storm in your life.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: Especially those that have poured into your life.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: Praise God.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: But you know what?
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: We learn through our storms, through our trials, and tests how to trust God.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Jesus.
- 13:36SPEAKER_00: When God stops preparing you for ministry, He doesn't uh uh throw you away because you experience difficulty.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: Your present condition is not your final conclusion.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: Are you listening to me this morning?
- 13:58SPEAKER_00: Your present condition is not your final conclusion.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: Praise God for that.
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: I said, praise God for that.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: God always have a ram in the bush.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: Blesses his people.
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: God is still working on me.
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: Yes, he is.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: And then the I uh uh the I and finish uh insist insist on continuing.
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: Don't let w uh w worrying stop you.
- 14:49SPEAKER_00: Let us not be weary and well doing.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: Notice he didn't he didn't say that we will never become tied.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: He warns us not to surrender to our weariness.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: There's a difference from from being physically tied and spiritually giving up.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: You can be tired and still faithful.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: You can be wounded and still worship.
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: You can be disappointed and still determined.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: You can be under pressure and still praise God.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: I believe we talked about Elijah, 1 King of the 19th chapter.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: After they great victory at Mount Camera, he became discouraged, fearful, exhausted.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: But God did not discord Elijah.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: He provided food, rest, renewed direction.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: Sometimes when you're weary, you don't need to abandon your assignment.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: You just need to be refreshed so you can continue.
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: Are you with me today?
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: We often quote Isaiah 40 and 31.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: They shall mount up with the wings as an eagle.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: They shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: You can have, you may have to rest, but you don't have to resign.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: I said it again.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: You may have to rest, but you don't have to resign.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: You don't have to give up.
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: Quit.
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: I'm tired, but I'm not through.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: And another thing and finish is in.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: Never allow distractions to stop your assignment.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: Never allow distractions to stop your assignment.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: We talked about this before in Nehemiah 6 and 3.
- 17:11SPEAKER_00: And I sent messages unto them saying, I'm doing a great work, so I cannot come down.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: Why should the work cease while I leave it and come down to you?
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: Nehemiah had been called to rebuild Jerusalem walls.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: The enemy of God's people tried to intimidate him, discourage him, and distract him.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: But Nehemiah understood something.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: Every invitation does not deserve your attention.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: Are you listening?
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: He said, I'm doing a great work.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: In other words, I cannot come down because God is giving me something to finish.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: Some people will distract you with criticism.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: Are you listening?
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: Others will distract you with unnecessary arguments.
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: Some circumstances will attract you with fear.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: But you must not, you must learn to say, I cannot come down.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: And that 15th verse of the sixth chapter of Nehemiah, so the wall was finished and 20, the 20th and the fifth day of the month.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: In the 50th, 50, 52 days.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: They finished despite the opposition.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: Church, people of God, those that are listening, don't allow distraction to delay what God has assigned you to accomplish.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: Don't come down from your assignment to entertain people who are helping you complete it.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: Say to yourself, I'm standing on the wall.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: And then the eye and finish.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: Invest in the process.
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: Hallelujah.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Jesus.
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: You cannot weep what you refuse to sow.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: In due season, you will reap.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: If it faint not.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: Harvest doesn't begin at harvest time.
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: It begins at the planting time.
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: Before a farmer enjoys the harvest, he must prepare the ground, plant the seed, faithfully care for the crop.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: Be not deceived.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: God is not mocked.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: Whatsoever man soweth, that shall he weep.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: You cannot expect spiritual maturity when investing uh you cannot expect spiritual maturity without investing in prayer.
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: The word, obedience.
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: Cannot expect a strong family without investing in love, forgiveness, communication, commitment.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: You cannot expect a hefty church without investing in discipleship, evangelism, service, spiritual growth.
- 20:27SPEAKER_00: Some people want the harvest, but they don't want the labor.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: They want the victory, but they don't want the battle.
- 20:35SPEAKER_00: They want the crown, but don't want the cross.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: But God is teaching us that there's a process before the promise fully is realized.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Jesus.
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: In the book of James 5 and 7, it said, Be patient, therefore, brethren, until the coming of our Lord.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: Behold, the husbandman waited for the precious fruit of the earth, and has long patient for it until he received the early and the latter rain.
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: Don't dig up your seed because you have you have haven't seen your harvest.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Lord.
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: My seed is still working.
- 21:27SPEAKER_00: Just tell somebody that.
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: Tell them my seed is still working.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: Yes, it is.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: It is.
- 21:35SPEAKER_00: Our scripture from last month, 1 Corinthians 15 and 58.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, unmovable, always abiding in the work of the Lord.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: Furthermore, we know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: Paul gives us three particular instructions here.
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: Be steadfast, resolve.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Remain firmly committed to Christ and his word.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: Be unmovable.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: Don't allow the trials, the criticism, opposition to move you away from God's truth.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: And thirdly, keep abounding.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: Don't merely maintain your service.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: Continue growing in faithfulness and obedience.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: Look at Joseph.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: He had a dream.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: But before the dream was fulfilled, he experienced betrayal, slavery, false accusations, imprisonment.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: Yet Joseph continued to trust God.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: The pit was not his finish line.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: Part of a house was not his finish line.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: Prison was not his finish line.
- 22:43SPEAKER_00: God had a greater purpose.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: Genesis 15 and 20.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: But as for you, you thought of evil against me.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: But God meant it unto good to bring to pass as it is this day.
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: To save much people alive.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: Joseph's journey teaches us that difficult that difficult chapters do not necessarily mean the story is over.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: Don't mistake a difficult chapter for the end of your story.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Jesus.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: I'm still standing.
- 23:27SPEAKER_00: And then the H and finish.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: Hold on until you finish.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: Paul said in 2 Timothy 4, 7 and 8, I fought a good fight.
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: Why is it a good fight?
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: Because we win.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: I finished my course, I have kept the faith.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: And then he says, henceforth that's laid up for me a crown of righteousness with the Lord.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: The righteous judge shall give me at that day.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: And not to me only, but unto all them that allowed his appearance.
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: Paul did not say I had it easy.
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: He said I fought a good fight.
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: He didn't say I never experienced opposition.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: He said I finished my course.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: He didn't say everybody stayed with me.
- 24:19SPEAKER_00: He said I kept the faith.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: Think about everything Paul experienced imprisonment, beating, shipwreck, rejection, persecution, betrayal.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: Yet at the end of his life, Paul testified, I have finished my course.
- 24:38SPEAKER_00: Goal is not merely to have a powerful beginning.
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: The goal is to have a finishing end.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: Ecclesiastes 7 and 8, we got to come in.
- 24:51SPEAKER_00: Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof.
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: And the patience in spirit is better than the proud and spirit.
- 25:05SPEAKER_00: It's wonderful to begin with enthusiasm.
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: But it's even greater to finish with faithfulness.
- 25:13SPEAKER_00: Don't become so focused on how you started that you forget how important it is to finish.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: I insist to finish my course.
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Lord.
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Jesus.
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: Jesus came in the world with assignment.
- 25:34SPEAKER_00: That was the finish.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: He healed the sick, he opened the blind eyes, raised the dead, and preached the He preached the king.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: Faced rejection, betrayal, suffering, crucifixion.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: But he never abandoned his mission.
- 25:55SPEAKER_00: I have glorified thee on the earth.
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: I have finished the work which thou gave me to do.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: John seventeen and verse number four.
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Jesus.
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: Finish Hallelujah.
- 26:11SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Lord Jesus.
- 26:17SPEAKER_00: Galatians 6 and 9, for in due season weep if we faint not.
- 26:22SPEAKER_00: That little word if is important.
- 26:27SPEAKER_00: The promise of weeping is connected to a perseverance.
- 26:32SPEAKER_00: You cannot abandon the field and inspect together the harvest.
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: You cannot stop running, inspect to cross the finish line.
- 26:43SPEAKER_00: Cannot throw away your faith and inspect to receive the crown.
- 26:48SPEAKER_00: But I'll come to encourage everybody on this line here today.
- 26:56SPEAKER_00: If you have survived too much to surrender now, if you have prayed too many prayers to give up now, you have seen too many uh determinations of God's faithfulness to stop trusting him now.
- 27:17SPEAKER_00: This is our time.
- 27:20SPEAKER_00: Let's go forward.
- 27:23SPEAKER_00: Let's finish what God started in us.
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: In Jesus' name.
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: God bless everyone.
- 27:33SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Jesus.
- 27:34SPEAKER_00: Thank you for tuning in here on GoPartyOnline.org.
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: God bless you.
